TMMU2 and new A/N · 4:50pm Apr 16th, 2013
And then TMMU takes up all my time ever, and MNiC and BaDS are both pushed to the wayside as I put all my focus into finishing the new story. (No, but seriously, TMMU is only going to be seven chapters long, and I'm working hard on it, so even if that does happen, it won't be for long.)
So yeah, new chapter goes up in like five minutes. On to other things. Some of you may have noticed the Author's Note that I'm going to add to the description in about two minutes. Let me give a little explanation for it. Note: SPOILERS FOR BOTH CHAPTER 1 AND CHAPTER 2 AHEAD.
TMMU came out of the first chapter, like every story I've written. Said first chapter, of course, takes place immediately after Boast Busters, when Trixie goes back and gets her stuff. If I'd done the planning first and known that I was going to end on Magic Duel, I might have noticed the problems that causes. (In my defense, I was originally going to make it AU and epic-length.) For one thing, as we all know, Discord is a story arc unto himself, one that I don't want to deal with here. For another, I wanted Luna to already have met Twilight, and to be well on her way to modernizing her speech by the time this story rolled along. Starting after Boast Busters, I have to do the former and not the latter, and since I don't want to have to go back and rewrite chapter 1 to start months later than it is, this is my solution.
Therefore, the timeline of relevant stories for TMMU is as follows:
-The Return of Harmony
-Luna Eclipsed
-Boast Busters (a couple weeks after Luna Eclipsed)
-Beginning of The Most Magical Unicorn
-Magic Duel
-A Canterlot Wedding
Those last two may change depending on how the later chapters go. I'll update and link to this post if so.
But yeah, that's the story behind that. Sorry if that turns you off the story or anything. I assure you, the multi-parter that I'm starting (hopefully) next is going to be planned out much better than this! 
TMMU3 is well on its way to being a thing, and I may even find the time to finish something else in the meantime
