Part 8: Imminent+The Why · 6:24am Jan 14th, 2013
Hey all,
So I had hoped to get Part 8 out Christmas week, but then I was hijacked by family. They held a gun of Togetherness to my head and forced me to turn off of the road of Progress and onto Holiday street. We all piled out beneath the Bridge of Feelings and made a shady deal with my Relatives, scoring some Memories in return for all the Focus they'd robbed from me.
Despite that, I finished part 8 shortly after New Year's. But then I looked at it, and I said, quote, "Sh*t. This is only, like, 2000 words." Since I'd brought the first part of part 8 forward, now part 8 itself was way too short.
So, I decided to combine part 8 with part 9, except this time, I brought in all of part 9. As with part 8, it took a little more time to finish, but, on the plus side, it's 5000+ words of plot-filled (the story kind of plot) D&S goodness, rivaled in word count only by part 6.
So now I do my personal reviews and revisions, then I plan stuff out with my editor, and ship off to you, the reader, a shiny, finished part 8 sometime soon.
