The very much unauthorized re-write of Jonny Bench's story called The Crippling Secret. I thought it would be fun to re-write it, but Jonny himself hasn't been on since half a year ago, so-

I did some reverse-image-searching, and I think the cover image comes from sjui00. Hopefully they don't mind my use.

Story was released 10/22/22, but I really, really rushed writing it. Usually, my stories take about five drafts before I'm happy with it. This one, I only did two then published it. On 10/24/22, I re-edited the story to flow better.

...oh. Apparently, I dozed off again. Why does my room look like a total wreck? Why are my eyes streaked with so many tears? And... and where is my girlfriend Lightning Dust?

And why does thinking of her make those tears start up all over again?

Have you ever had a dream that just seemed so real, that it was impossible to say for certain that it was even a dream at all? A dream that, despite all of its impossibilities, seemed to re-write your entire perception of reality, re-writing your sense of what—and indeed, who—you are? Accepting change is hard enough as it is. But when you're a somebody who wakes up as a somepony, how do you cope with the impact such a drastic change has on your mind and body? With changes like these, it must surely just be a lucid dream—albeit a suspiciously accurate one—just brimming with potential and ripe for exploration. So you might as well suck it up and make the most of these distressingly…unusual circumstances, and seize this psychological adventure before you wake up and the dream ends.
After all, this couldn't possibly be real, so the dream must come to an end eventually…right?

Pinkie wakes up somewhere Unfamiliar, that she's never seen, or heard of. Dazed and Confused, she tries to make sense of the situation, but she can't.

Just about everypony in Ponyville knows Scootaloo. She's your normal, carefree pegasus foal who crusades for her cutie mark, zips around town on her scooter, and looks up to her idol Rainbow Dash. But what if that's not all there is to her? Scootaloo worries that her friends will find out that she's not the foal they know and love, or that she's not even a foal at all. But, when her secret does come out, their reactions might surprise her.

Cozy Glow is a masterful singer. If she sings the correct sequence of music notes, she can make you cry.
