Princess Sparkle sky is a little known night princess who was best friends withe Luna/Nightmare moon. Sparkle Sky challenged Rainbow Dash to a race, and was struck by lightning sending her to another dimention.
Sparkle Sky Was a Regal Princess Alicorn and best friends to Luna, they where like sisters. She starting getting bored with the daily grind princesses in Canterlot endured, and took off on her own Adventures, following the lead of Twilight Sparkle by traveling to ponyville. There She met Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rainbow dash. Sparkle Formed a tough rivalry with the Fast blue pegasus, and soon challenged her to a race. The race was set on a day when a huge Storm was planned for the residents of Ponyvile. It was on a special course the Wonderbolts set up for the two Fast ponies, to prove who was fastest in the land. Rainbow Dash boasted that no soft winged Alicorn could beat the fastest pony in the world, and Sparkle boasted that No common pegasus could ever stand against an alicorn. The Race started and became chaotic fast as a wild bolt of lightning struck the two racers. Sparkle Sky was sent into another realm and erasing her memories, and her cutie mark. . Now The princess is stuck somewhere in space and time searching for her memories and her mark . Will She Find her mark again? Will She Find her Memories? Will she ever make it home?
It's been a few weeks or maybe days but for Sparkle Sky it was the strangest span of time she ever lived through. Now understand the events before that day where basically the same old Canterlot princess stuff, like mingling with the nobles, Checking out the cute Guards, gossiping about life. Then that day came, a day most forgot about The Thousand Year Exile of Night Mare Moon was about to end. For the most part No one knew that day was here, No one that is but Twilight Sparkle and one other. The urgent letter appeared in a puff of red smoke in front of Princess Celestia, detailing all the calculations and warnings. Celestia Looked concerned and had the whole Canterlot Populace preparing for the return of Night Mare Moon. The Castle and Canterlot prepared for a day that no one wanted to happen. Down at the foot of the mountain in Ponyville, no one really took Twilight Sparkle's warning seriously and went about their own buisness.
Sparkle Sky on the other hand was excited and looking forward to seeing her Best Friend again, a thousand years is a long while to be without your friends; and Sparkle was probabaly the only friend That Night Mare Moon had left.
So why did this one alicon feel such a friendship to the most evil pony out there? Simple: Sparkle Sky and Luna where born almost exactly at the same time on the same day. From the moment they where born they where best of friends. Being friends with Luna also meant you where Celestia's friend as well. For many years the three young ponies did everything together even get their Cutie Marks all in the same day. That day..they day they all discovered their gifts was the very last day they all where happy and together. Celestia's Mark was the royal Sun mark, wich sealed her place..She was deemed Celestia Queen of Equestria. Soon Luna fell into the shadow of Celestia, and celestia lost contact with her beloved sister due to the whole queen buisness.
Sparkle alone Witnessed the sadness, abandonment , anger and jealousy that consumed Luna and transformed her to Night Mare Moon. Sparkle tried her hardest to prevent this transformation, she even went so far as to not request but order celestia to take time off and hang out with her sister. The new Queen simply seemed to have no time to mingle.
Luna's jealousy really got the best of her when she found out, that the beautiful Moonlit nights she gave to the residents of Equestria where never seen as the population was sleeping through the beautiful night. when Sparkle saw how grand the night was, she took the strongest stance she could. She declared her loyalty to luna who had become Night Mare Moon. The Stardancer was closer than friend, closer than sisters indeed some rumored the two night princesses where intimate , this was untrue. Sparkle put the stars in the sky to enhance the Moonlit nights. Then there was a battle, and after that battle "the mare in the moon" appeared. Sparkle couldn't remember what happened after that. A thousand years passed, and the Star princess lived in canterlot and remembered nothing of those times, except a weird feeling of sadness and loss.
The day that Night Mare Moon returned to Canterlot she kidnapped Celestia, and half the princesses. Her magic had put all the other poniess asleep, all that is But Sparkle as she was needed to decorate the night with stars. Her loyalty to her friend payed off,she was remebered. Then they showed up...The elements of harmony.
The former student of Celestia Twilight Sparkle came to the castle with five friends. She recited the spell from the book,of the elements of harmony. Applejack represents the spirit of Honesty, Rainbow Dash represents the Spirit of Loyalty. Pinkie Pie represents the spirit of Laughter, Rarity represents the Spirit of Generosity, Fluttershy represents the Spirit of Kindness. To bind it all together Magic! The flash and shine dissolved Night Mare Moon leaving Luna unconsious That was Sparkle's Last Memory for a day or so. She had slept for, twenty- four or forty- eight hours maybe longer
Sparkle Sky Decided to head down to Ponyville to at least thank the six heroes that saved Luna's life. She stayed in there for week, checking out the six friends and found that even a princess was welcomed in that town. It was a harrowing week,each of the ponies there had a million questions about Canterlot, as if it was some secret club. She Spent one day with each of the Six heroes, and learned that they all worked hard for a living and each offered a little training if she'd want to stay. On the first day of the week she worked with the White Pony with the blue mane and the three diamonds mark, Rarity. Under Rarity's watchful eye Sparkle was enlisted to pull Fabric and design a special dress for Luna. It wasn't bad work and she soon found out that she was pretty good at fashion. At the end of the day Rarity packed the dress into a special Bag and handed it to Sparkle, who put it in her saddlebags. Rarity stopped Sparkle before she went out the door . "Princess" **Sparkle turned around a little annoyed and said, " Rarity you can call me by my name or my nickname "Blue Streak, i'm not in princess mode right now. " Rarity Corrected herself " Sorry, Sparkle it's getting dark, and rainy, you won't see a moon tonight why not stay here with me until tomorrow." "I'll do it " the princess said excitedly again thise few hours she was "asleep" she did not remeber. The Blue alicorn left rarity's wondering " did we have fun" " did we sleep? " She then felt a weird tightness in her belly "Did we...do more? Wow i hope not."
Her next Stop was "Sugarcube Corner, a great bakery and home of the Excentric Pink tornado of a pony. She knocked on the door "Pinkie Pie are you in there, it's Sparkle Sky, you may not know me but i was there when you defeated Night Mare Moon. The door popped open and the pink Pony smiled wildly "0h HIIIIYA i am pinkie pie and you look like... FUNNN! come in i;ll show you how to make cupcakes" The pink Pony then Laughed oddly and with a hint of darkness. This display kinda scared The Princess who backed up a step or two. Pinkie reassured her " Sorry Sparkle, i love cupcakes and get all excited when someone wants to learn." The latter giggled and stepped forward " Ohhh ok well i'm here to help if i can. " Pinkie Pie showed her in and they started baking up cupcakes. " You're doing really good , you need some practice, but you're good." Sparkle smiled at her and noticed the night was coming. Pinkie took the last batch out of the oven and packaged them up handing them to Sparkle who puts them in her Bags. "That's for Princess Luna, as a welcome home gift from me. " The pink one smiled. you can sleep here hey i know lets have a slumber party tonight" The offer came for her. " That sounds like fun! of course i'll stay" The princess replied. In the mornig the same issue arose, what happened last night, her tail felt wet , as if she'd been swimming " Did we go swimming last night? and why do i feel so relieved? " She saw crimson goo on her face and hooves and took a deep terrified breath as she hear a pony was killed near a lake outside of ponyvile. " Did we...hurt that pony? Did We do worse? Did we EAT her?": She had heard all those rumors about a killer who made cupcakes out of other ponies " No No, we didn't" The princess calmed a little and licked some of the red stuff . " Whew She just put Strawberry jelly on me "
After she cleaned up she headed out to the everfree forest, stopping at a small cottage there. this was the home of the Kind, and soft spoken yellow pony named Fluttershy. She didn't have to knock on the door since fluttershy was just walking up the path to the house, seeing the Blue Stranger she hid behind her mane. "Hey there I'm Princess Sparkle Sky, you saved my best friend what's your name?" Sparkle asked. Barely a whisper came in reply "I..I'm Fluttershy" The princess scratched her head " Umm Say again ? I ididn't get that" "F.....Fluttershy" The yellow pony replied with a little more of a whisper. "Please could you speak up? I won't hurt you " The princess prodded on. The shy one gave a little angry look and said it once again, just loud enough to hear " My name is fluttershy". Oh well hello Fluttershy pleased to meet you." Princess Sparkle answered. She was very good with pony to pony skills and after a couple minutes her and Fluttershy where chatting away. Sparkle was learning so much from the expert animal caretaker. Night had come and Luna had raised the moon , it was sparkles turn. She danced through the sky with her horn glowing and shooting beams of purple . For each purple beam a star appeared, this was a perfect night and she remebered it because she didn't sleep.
Three days passed and three new friends met, now it was day four she had to choose between the strong work horse or the fast pegasus. Again she was amazed at the reception in town she got, and everyone was helpful in guiding her to "Sweet Apple Acres" The huge farm where that workhorse lived. " Howdy princess, Ah'm Apple Jack and yer jest in time ta have brunch wiff da family" Again the Alicorn was startled and jumped "Umm Hi AppleJack, i'm Princess Sparkle Sky. I just stopped by to thank you for saving my Best friend." Now Applejack was startled and looked at her " Y'all Call dat nasty ol' pony a friend? Shoot she was no friend ta us, tried ta take over and make us see only her." Aj Paused. " Ah know ya dun understand why we hate er so much, "cause all she ever did was try ta take over Queen Celestia's kingdom" To The princess this annoying little Earth pony was a traitor, talking that sort of stuff about a princess. Then she realized, here in ponyvile, they didn't know Luna, only Night Mare Moon. Sparkle chose to defend her friend now. " Listen you old hayseed, All ponies need love and care, Even Princess Luna. Celestia's New rank and fame left her alone without her big sister. I give you this, She did not have to resort to the means she used, but after being ignored, dismissed , and knocked down by her sister, lonliness, anger, jealousy and despair, broke her once grand spirit and consumed her. I know you have a sister that your close to as well, what would YOU think if the same thing happened to you ? After that strong Barrage from The Star Princess, Applejack looked at her seeing she was telling the truth. "Ah'm Sorry princess, er ah mean SS ah dinna know it was dat deep, we all lahk Luna here, we jest hope Night mare moon nevah comes back. SS replied " I highly doubt you'll ever see Night mare Moon again." She smiled " so I raise the stars you see in t the sky at night, what do you do? I'm here to learn about it." " Ah "Applebuck" and sell our fine products in the marketplace in town, ya look purty tough, not lahk a princess normally is." AJ laughed a little. " Oh i'm tough as you mebbe even tougher, and i got magic to help me too" Sparkle smiled " you teach me how to Applebuck and i'll show you what a princess is made of. " after a quick lesson in the skill, sprkle and AJ backed up to their own apple trees and had a little game. Aj First threw down the gauntlet " Ah can buck once and clear a tree and get 75% of the apples in the basket. Betcha you will take three or four Bucks to clear a tree with a 20% Apple basket shot" The princess smiled and looked serious " I know it'll take me one buck to clear a tree, and i gurantee a 100% catch rate" " yer on, an i'll even let ya use yer magic ta help, ah'll still do better. " AJ boasted," here are the rules We do ten trees, you will buck only once to clear it, and you will basket every apple, none will touch the ground. " " Fine! The princess replied, " here's the reward, if you win i will do one week of your work here on the farm while you enjoy one week of my life in canterlot. if I win you gotta tell everyone a princess beat you and you get to be my servant for a week, is it a deal " She extends her hoof smiling, "Deal." AJ spit on her hoof causing SS to do likewise and they shook hooves. The contest raged on between the two ponies and it seemed nothing short of a tie would happen . Ten trees became Twenty became forty. Day ended and so did their bet Forty-Four trees later . AJ was the one that seemed exhausted " Ya know " She panted heavily " ah nevah had dat much of a challenge in Applebuckin' and ya did exactly what ya said you would. Sparkle looked back at Applejack. " and you did exactly what you said you would do. so we'll just call it a tie, and i'll reward you anyhow i'm the one who puts the stars up every night Watch. " She danced through the night sky putting up the stars and slowly coming down landing next to the already sleeping applejack and snuggling close to her for warmth. Morning came and sparkle again forgot everything that happened at night, she looked over at applejack then looked around. " What did we do yesterday, and why am i so Sore? " she didn't expect it but AJ was awake * " aw ya dinna do nuthin' much , ya an Ah jest applebucked eighty-eight trees and basketed forty-four bushels of apples each" she smiled " an no matter how sore ya are we gotta haul the apples back. So they worked to do that and in the early afternoon Sparkle headed way up into the clouds she was going to visit the fast pegasus pony.
She was looking for the self proclaimed "fastest pony in the world" it has been awhile since she was here and still she is impressed with Cloudsdale. While she was looking around something flashed past her. There you are " Sparkle took wing and followed Rainbow Dash catching her easily. "Who are you and how did you ever catch me, you're just a princess, not even Celestia can catch me. The princess giggled " yeah I'm not Celestia and you are just slow, anyhow. Thanks for saving Luna from Nigh Mare Moon, you don't know how much that means to me, to everypony." "I know this." Dash says proudly. Sparkle Nods " so what do you do up here? seems all the other pegasus ponies have specific things." Dash just looks at Sparkle " I do whatever i need to do, just faster then everyone. " OH? so basically you do nothing specific? " The princess queried. " if you can keep up I'll teach you how to set up the next storm" Dash boasted. "Keep up, come on I'm the fastest princess ever, i put all the stars up in 30 seconds, so i can enjoy them. " Sparkle Laughed and continued, " lead on Oh great rain maker." The two fast fliers raced through the clouds setting up the clouds and when Thunderbolt made the first clap of thunder the race was on, the pegasus ponies and Sparkle sky started bucking the clouds to make it rain. The night passed for Sparkle sky Cold and wet, and again she didn't remember it .
What a week she had, and she was glad it was the end of the week, she made five new friends, now it was time to reunited with an old friend. The Dragon Keeper, Twilight Sparkle welcomed Sparkle to her library with a nuzzle and a hug. "It's been sometime since i saw you, how are you doing ? " The princess Smiled warmly " it's been a very long week i came here to meet up with you and your new friends, and thank you for saving Luna. " She Continued " but i found work and many surprises, just wish i could remember them all . " "oh no" Twilight Seemed alarmed " You still forgetting stuff? that's bad. yet you do remember me, perhaps it's only in your short term memory" Sparkle Was confused and said " What are you talking about Twilight? it only started when Luna was saved." "I believe that it's due to the stress you've been under this week, as you have never been this active during the day, normally you sleep during the day so you can do your job at night. Hence that could be Messing with your harmony" Twi said "Twilight you're crazy, what does that have to do with Luna? we still decorate the night together, it's just since she came home I've been forgetting stuff. " Sky stated. "OHH well that's quite simply explained." The unicorn started " For a thousand years you and Night Mare Moon where connected, in the fact that you are both night princesses and you decorate the sky as does she. When She was imprisoned on the far side of the moon, it was as if a piece of you was put there as well, but there was a harmony in your being even though there was a split." Sky nodded as her friend continued on. " When she was freed and came back, so did the piece of your spirit, this upset your new harmony, but as it happens for everyone's spirit that piece had to return to you. Once you got used to it again you returned to a harmonious place. " Twilight paced the room and kept talking. "When we destroyed Nightmare Moon, and left Luna, it really messed up your spirit as you had lost that thousand years piece, however a new piece forced itself itp your Spirit to try to balance your harmony, and to this day, it is not integrated. Soon it should be, but for now you will always have those forgetful feelings, until your harmony is restored." The Alicorn nodded and looked at her friend. " Well it is good that i'll stop forgetting stuff. She yawned and looked at the time " Hey Twilight can you make sure i get up at dusk to raise the stars i really need a nap. " Of course i will" Twi Promised "mind if i join you?" "I can make gossamer wings" I have always wanted to see you work , but i was always asleep when you did" Twilight seemed very excited.. The Stardancer nodded and wrote down everything she could remember . She wrote about how many surprises she saw, and how she was hoping there was more.
The Biggest surprise came at the end of the week. Sparkle was at the library where her friend Twilight lived. There was a knock on the door. When it opened in walked a strange cross eyed pegasus pony, Derpy Hooves. "Rainbow Dash sent this down for you" The Grey pony spoke as she handed the letter to twilight and disappeared off to her next delivery. "What's it Say twi? " Sparkle Sky asked. Twilight opened the letter and read it aloud " Hey Twi, You know I'm the fastest ever, but yet some don't belive me. So i'm sending out an open invitation to anypony who thinks they can prove me wrong. meet me on the south field . I mean ANYPONY whether they fly or not. If you're in show up there at noon on the next storm day. Love Rainbow Dash" Twi just shook her head " that's absurd Dash knows i don't race i have too much to study and learn, why prove her wrong? " Sparkle looked at her friend and queried " You mean you've beaten her? She's the only pony to pull off not only a Sonic Rainboom , but a Double as well. How is that possible" Twi looked at the alicorn " it was simple, last year i partook in the running of the leaves, a fall ceremony that shakes all the leaves off the trees." She grabbed a picture of her with the medal she won and continued " I paced myself through the race, kept at a trot, even as slow as a walk sometimes. Eventually i caught the exhausted ponies near the end of the race and took off, i was at full gallop and left the rest in the dust. They gave me that cool medal and congratulated me." The though of her gentle out of shape Unicorn friend beating the fastest ponies excited her and her teal eyes glittered and sparkled. " I think I'll challenge her, you beat her and i am much faster than you. "Sky Boasted. "I know i can beat her." Twilight giggled " have fun I'll cheer for you .
The next few days seemed a blur, Sparkle didn't remember them, she thought maybe she was in the library. Apparently she was wandering Ponyville talking to people and taking pictures.
She was up at dawn on the day the pegasus ponies had planned that bad storm, the one dash sent the challenge out for. After an early morning of tree trimming, and overall storm preparation. Thunderbolt, had started the storm , her speed and impact on the cloud made a thunderclap that was extremely loud. The rain soon started and noon was at hand.
Sparkle entered the south field and saw a small crowd on the ground and a sky full of pegasus ponies that where not part of the storm. Sparkle Sky stood brave and proud as she walked through the less than hospitable crowd. She made it to the last part of the path where she counted just four of the six heroes Applejack, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle and Rarity. Where was the pink one? She already knew where dash was.
"Mares and Gentleponies. " There she was, Pinkie Pie in a balloon above the grounds " Today after a month of open challenges somepony has taken The Dash Challenge. Who is crazy or stupid enough to do this? Why it's our special guest, " Blue Streak" Princess Sparkle Sky of Canterlot. " There was a mix of boos and some cheers when Pinkie Pie introduced her. Being a royal Alicorn had made Sparkle expectant of a certain treatment, so the boos first stunned her.
Once the shock had passed and she stood side by side with Rainbow Dash, she had become Super confident. "You should have thought more before you challenged everypony, you have met your match " Sparkle was definitely a challenging looking opponent she was bigger and leaner than Dash. " Yeah right I'm the best there ever was, look at me I created the sonic Rainboom, I soon doubled that up! And Even Applejack can't keep up with me, you "princess Powderpuff" are Easy!" Dash would boast. " If You THINK you can beat a Pure Racing Alicorn then Lets take it to the Sky, Rain-slow Dash!!!" Sparkle would taunt. " OHHHH That's IT!!! It's ON!!"
Rainbow Dash went up to the sky track followed By Sparkle sky. Pinkie laid out the rules "You two will race along this Special track created by the Pegasus ponies to test every skill you have speed, agility and endurance. You will fly through all the loops. you can only take shortcuts at two places . You cannot hit, attack or otherwise intentionally get in each others way. Now GOOOOO!!"
From the start Sparkle was dominating Dash in speed and agility and she looked as if she would win. The cheers would fill the skies as Dash was falling behind.
Pinkie Would do play by play. "We have Blue streak dominating Dash right out of the gate " " Dash is catching Streak's tail as we head into turn one, exiting the turn it's Rainbow Dash by a nose." "Into turn two Sparkle sky is mowing down dash, she takes the outside line and slips by Dash exiting turn two now on the back stretch it's Sparkle by six lengths." " The Right hand turn three is upon them and Sparkle is caught off guard as she turns the corner really roughly, dash closes fast and takes the lead into the long freeway section it's dash by three lengths!" "Up ahead as they run sided by side is a challenging ess section, they will have to Maneuver four left right switches." "Rainbow Dash enters the esses first and has major troubles getting through it, OH NO Dash is into the barrier and Sparkle is out cleanly, she's heading down the straight to the most challenging section on this track the "Cyclone Spiral" " Dash is on the wing and gaining ground as the spiral looms ahead. Sparkle is into the spiral first Look at her gaining speed , Now dash too. "
Sparkle felt her speed growing fast and soon the spiral would light up with a blue trail that sparkle would leave behind as she was heading for her "Blue Blast. Rainbow dash was gaining speed as well she was leaving her rainbow trail behind heading for " The Sonic Rainboom" The play by play would pick up again. " Exiting the Cyclone spiral we have Sparkle ahead by a horn..literally." "They are heading for the Cumulo Nimbus section, the most dangerous part of the track." Pinkie Switched her play by play to a more cautionary speech. " Now you two are entering the Cumulo Nimbus section, proceed quickly and cautiously as the wind shear and lightning is really nasty here"
For the majority of the time Sparkle was breaking the shear, than something went terribly wrong. She was at her Blue Blast stage her horn glowing purple, she'd break out of the clouds with a loud Boom and a blue flash or so that was the plan. Dash had caught up and was flying beside her when suddenly a loud buzzing crackle sound was heard, it was a strike. Lightning had struck Sparkle Sky's horn, normally a mere nuisance, but the close proximity of dash caused a massive arc between the two. There where two painful screams and a bright purple flash. Rainbow dash was knocked out due to a massive electro shock. She was falling for a lethal impact with the ground, or so she thought. Wild cheers went up all around as Fluttershy, the quiet Pegasus was holding dash by he tail struggling but slowing her fall enough so A couple of other pegasus ponies could safely carry dash to the ground. Where was Sparkle Sky?
Sparkle Sky Appeared speeding along leaving a blue Streak behind, thinking she was still racing Dash. She soon found out that she wasn't even near Dash. She flew full speed into an ancient oak tree. The Impact Knocked her out, and she fell face first to the ground tail in the air and limp. In her Semi conscience state she saw mini rainbow dashes circling around her head, she was all cross eyed. " I tink i'll go to sweepy now" She'd say dizzily before passing out. Wild Dreams and weird images haunted her for a long time. Nightmares and random lights had her wondering if she was dead. She stirred on the ground and felt her life coming back, nope she wasn't dead,but every part of her body was in agony.
" How long have i been out? " She asked but no one heard. She tried to get up but kept falling down " Oh no, I'm paralyzed, no i can't be, if i was i couldn't even talk." She tried once more and found her legs, shaky as a newborn, but she finally got up and walked around a little . " Well that's better " She would talk to herself. Hungry from a long time without food she started eating some grass and mused.." Either there's really deep grass or i shrunk I wonder why i feel weird" She'd eat her fill and look around. "Where am I, Where's dash, what happened?"
She was thirsty now and saw a river nearby and headed to it closing her eyes and drinking deeply she opened her eyes and saw her reflection. She screamed in Terror " What the Hay happened to me?! I..i'm a FILLY again!!!" Sparkle closed here eyes and turned her flank toward the river " Please please please let it be there" As she pleaded she opened her eyes and saw a blank flank, Her cutie Mark was gone. "NOOOOOOOOOOOO! " She yelled for what seemed like an hour, then thought " Wait A minute did i even Have a Mark? I can't remember maybe i did hit that tree too hard". Now Scared Young and Blank she sat on the river bank trying to remember but she couldn't. She had no memory of her mark, or what happened the day of the race. She couldn't even remember what happened the day the elements of harmony appeared.
When she looked up she saw a huge Alicorn. She was scared by the sheer size of the other one. He called himself Titanus, this calmed Sparkle since as a filly she heard stories of the great founder of Equestria. He spoke to her stating that this world with the weird buildings, was called New Pittsburg. He spoke at length about other ponies showing up and the possiblility of a "new" Equestria right in this place. A new equestria?" She started thinking and asked probabally the silliest question ever. " If you make a new equestria here how would you bring all the population from the old equestria here?" She felt stupid for the first time in her life, at least that she could remember. The more she thought about things the less she could remember. Soon another being a weird looking creature. He called himself Blaze and looked like a person, but felt different, he spoke as it it was normal for an Alicorn to show up in the city . He was friendly enough but seemed more interested in something in Space. Then the next thing that happened terrified her, both the new friends she found turned into beasts and took off into the sky ." It was nice to meet you two " She would say as she backed away, then she turned and galloped away into her new adventure, to find who she was and how to get home, wherever Home is.
A few days had passed since she found herself in New Pittsburg. She now had a good feel for the area near the river but often didn't go to far away. There where strange and scary metal carts here that didn't have a workhorse pulling them, in fact they seemed to magically move on their own, but they stunk like something burning. She had heard some of the weird pink creatures call them "cars", "trucks", "vans" or "S.U.V.'s". Whatever they where Sparkle Made it a point to steer clear of them. She was out once during the day and seemed to have caused several of those things to hit each other, it sounded like thunder when they hit, some exploded with a loud boom, smoke and fire. " Oh my " She'd say "best to come out after night fall" she'd run into some wooded cover and lay down .
Night came as it always did and sparkle started grazing for what she could find for food. She was stunned with the night here as the sky was filled with weird stars that buzzed loudly and where on a stick. Something's not right here these aren't stars, what are they?" She headed down by the river and looked up into the sky startled by what she saw, or more like what she did not see. "No Stars? how can this be? it is night time. I see the moon clearly but the stars...none. sparkle mused on this. Isn't there a Pony that raises the stars? At this point she did not know that she was that pony, in fact she really did not know who she was, just a foggy memory of a name and a feeling that she was missing something. She said " Tonight under the starless sky i will make a vow, for Queen Celestia, for Princess Luna, and for myself. On my future children's lives. I WILL find my cutie mark, I WILL f remeber who I am, I WILL be complete once again! This i Swear forever on!"
A new day had come and she dared venture out during the day. Now the people on the rock ribbon ignored her, much to her relief. The day was about to get weird though, she saw Nova Titanus again by the river, and shuddered. Something about him scared her. She soon became extremely happy as there a few feet away was Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, And Rarity.
That happiness slipped away , they didn't seem to recognize her. "Girls, friends? hey people don't you remeber me? " Sparkle was confused, she thought she remebered them. She tried something else aproaching each one. " Hey Rain-Slow Dash how was it losing to "princess powderpuff" i'm sparkle Sky " Dash looked at her confused. "I've never lost and certainly not to you or any princess" Sparkle looked at her confused. " you don't remeber the race? " Dash replied "Sorry little Filly i don't know you, we never met. I guarantee you'd never even get close to me in a race." Okay so dash didn't remember her, they only met twice, it's expected.
She approached Rarity. " Hey thanks for the pretty dress, i never got back to Canterlot to give it to Luna" Rarity looked at her a little strangely. " Um you're welcome, but why would i give you a dress made for Luna? I'd deliver it myself, so she could see who made it and how wonderful it was." " No no i have it right here see? " The Filly pulls out the dress and shows Rarity." It's really well crafted, you did that well ." Sky looked at her "You did it, when i came to your shop." Rarity looked art her "i am sorry Miss,Sparkle Sky Was it? I never met you, granted that dress is a style i used at one time, but no longer." This confused the filly, she knew Rarity's work and really liked it, but yet she doesn't remember? Well maybe she was too busy that day after all she was asked to make about fifty dresses for a welcome home party.
She carefully approached Fluttershy "Hey there " Sparkle's voice was calm and warm. "Surely you remember me Fluttershy, we spent so much time talking about bunny migration, and well bunny everything. I helped you put them into bed for the night." Fluttershy shied back and shook her head hiding behind her pink mane. "Speak up now hun, please tell your friends that you and i are close. " The request came back as more princess like and royal and sparkle was hoping that the shy one would remember. " You saved Dash too after she fell from the sky when she was hit by lightning. Fluttershy spoke in a low faint tone " Oh no Miss Sky i didn't talk to you about the bunny stuff, i..umm was talking to ...spike about dragon life...I'm so sorry , i don't know who you are, but you seem kind so maybe i like you . " Again the Alicorn filly was confused and now a little scared, had she found another world or was she truly different?
Twilight Sparkle, my old friend, we've known each other since before you got Spike, you and Luna and me where best friends." All Sky got was a Blank look " Come on; remember the cute-ceañera,for Luna, you had to clean up a mess spike made, you where still a blank flank, then you used your magic to clean up the mess. You then got your cutie mark immediately after...we had a blast celebrating TWO Marks.. i think i drank to much punch ." Twilight looks at Sparkle. " I don't know you, we've never met." " I can prove it" Twilight started. " On the day of Luna's cute-ceañera, i had just gotten spike and indeed i was without a mark, but that day i did not aquire mine, i had to leave the party early as spike was getting fussy and needed a nap. So i retired to my room at my parents' place , stayed in there all night trying to learn about my Special skill." Twi nodded " you know if you did come in after about three you would have missed me but you would have seen my mother , perhaps that is why you think you know me." Sparkle was really close to tears " What about all the times we had, the fun we had, how hard it was when you went down to ponyville. " Twilight nuzzled Sparkle Sky " I'm so sorry none of that happened, but you know us now. Rarity moved in and nuzzled Sparkle sky " It's all right we're all here now" In a bold move for fluttershy she came in close and snuggled in " We're all lost here now, and we need each other" Rainbow Dash joined in as well " I'm always All in, i got yer back, no matter what Sparkle sky." Her spirits started rising again and the tears stopped " thank you so much i never knew you guys cared this much."
Fluttershy and Twilight sparkle where searching the city , Sparkle Sky was missing. No one seemed to have seen her after she was nearly heartbroken by her friends she remembered. She wasn't in the city at all not even on her beloved riverbank. Twilight heard the familiar sound of the pony who Loved wubs, Vinyl Scratch. "Hey Flutter, scratch would have seen her first, sparkle always loved music and dance, this club is where she would have gone, least to have some fun." Flutter looked at twi, and asked "I though you said you didn't remember her, you had never met before, so how do you know she likes music?" To Twilight the talkative fluttershy was the one she'd known, few people even knew what her voice sounded like. "Sparkle said a few things that made some sense." She'd start. "True we both attended Princess Luna's Cute-Ceñaria, but she arrived an hour before i did and left just after i came in to raise the stars." "Next, she returned as i was walking out the door with spike so we may have seen each other and exchanged a hello." Twi smiles and looks at flutter. " It was then things started getting weird, Princess Celestia couldn't find her name on the registry, I know i saw her as i was going out". Flutter spoke " Ok, but did you ask Luna, it was her Cute Ceñaria, right? " "Precisely." The purple unicorn spoke "When i sent a letter to Luna detailing my dilemma, and she wrote back telling me that Sparkle wasn't registered because she was a "personal VIP " of Luna,specifically Sparkle was considered her sister." "This is strange" Flutter spoke " I still feel like i know who she is and angel bunny loves her, but none of the other animals remeber her." Twilight thinks and looks at flutter "Gonna ask you to do something difficult, i want you to ask Scratch if she knows Sparkle, then you come back to me and tell me what she says. I'll ask her a second time and see what happens, i have a feeling about this" Flutter shakes...."m-m-me? why me? i saw Aj and D-d-d-dash over there." "Cause" She smiles " Scratch knows AJ and Dash hang with me, so if one of them asks, and then i ask i'll get the same answer they do.." Twi nods "That's why you need to ask, she doesn't know you but she should know sparkle" " I dunno" the shy one would whisper. Twi looked at her " oh no you don't, fluttershy you aren't gonna get all quiet on me." You stared down a terrifying dragon when your friends where in danger, you made him cry because he made you so mad you yelled. you sent him away after that with a warm kiss and a smile, you wheren't scared when we where in danger Why now? " Flutter looked at twi. " Princess Sparkle's not in danger, and i'm shy, you know it. " Twi walks close circling her "You like her Right? " A nod came from Flutter "She likes you right? She's your friend right? She's alone right? She's a cute Terrified Filly!! you wanna help her out" Flutter was trembling "y-y-you'e frightening me Twi, but YES to everything, wouldn't be kind otherwise" "Oh sorry flutter i didn't mean to" Twi giggled.
She nodded "it's ok" The shyest pony to ever be sent into a club was bravely striding to the DJ and waited trying to keep her courage. Vinyl Scratch looked up from her turntables.." No friggin way, fluttershy? wow i didn't know you loved my wubs too, wow what brings you here never see you too far from your house." Flutter would look around well aware that she had caught the attention of the club goers, and was nervous she ended up whispering hoping the Dj would hear her. "Miss Vinyl scratch, i came in her to find my friend" Those where the words that made her braver. " Princess sparkle sky, loves music and dancing, she's a midnight blue alicorn filly without a mark.. Have you seen her in here? " Vinyl smiled " Wow flutter i didn't know you where that brave. You can call me Scratch or Vinyl." " Yes i've seen her she left with three other fillies, Applebloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle after the whole club started laughing at her thanks to Diamond Tiara mentioning her blank flank." This infuriated Futtershy and she went to the open mic stage and looked around the club glaring, it was rare to see her this peeved and she tapped the mic and cleared her throat getting the club's attention. She only had a simple thought to share, she spoke forcefully " You all should be ashamed of yourselves, you once where blank flanks too!" She left a long pause and then simply said "thank you" and walked out of the club leaving everyone's jaws dropped. As she stepped through the door the was a music skip and then regular chattering. " She left with the CmC better think of visiting AJ" Flutter would say to Twilight who would reply " Excellant work flutter and bravo on the stage show you really told them." "Thanks" was the simple reply.
Twilight Sparkle went into the club moving to the beat, she did love Vinyl's music. She headed straight for the DJ smiling. " Greetings vinyl scratch, i see you have the club bouncing tonight" Vinyl smiled and looked at her. " Yeah everybody loves the wubs, hang on twi" Vinyl would get on her mic " All right everyone you know what time it is.it's time to bring out...." she would dash to the right and drag out a huge cannon " MY BASS CANNON!!!" The club shook wildy as she used it when the bass cannon died off she would walk to twi "What dragged you away from your books tonight, you don't often come alone, usually with Rarity or AJ." While twilight stopped shaking from the cannon she spoke " My oldest and closest friend Princess Sparkle Sky is missing, have you seen her? She's a midnight blue alicorn Filly with no mark." The Dj was confused and looked at twi. "an alicorn here? i think your a ways off kiddo, alicorns live in Canterlot. Haven't seen one here." Twilight looked at her. " Fluttershy just told me that you saw her here and she left with the CMC." Vinyl looked at her " Flutter surprised me tonight when i saw her here, but she never asked about any princess . " Twi looked stunned and Vinyl continued "Flutter was taking care of Sweetie Belle while Rarity worked on the dresses for the gala, it's in a week you know." "Come on scratch don't lie to me, Flutter got up on stage and told the club off for picking on Sparkle." this was the most confused that the unicorn ever was. Vinyl looked at Twi "Yeah Flutter was up on stage, she yelled at the crowd for picking on Sweetie Belle. That lousy Diamond Tiara started a rousing chant of "Blank flank, blank Flank.. you know i don't think i ever saw her that mad, it was kinda scary." Twi let her head drop as she was sad " Well thanks Vinyl scratch, i'll go let Flutter know." Twilight walks out a bit upset and confused.
"Come on flutter lets check out Sweet Apple Acres, AJ always knows where Applebloom is and where her friends are, if your Vinyl's right we need to talk to Applejack." Twilight was cryptic. Flutter froze in her tracks "m-m-m-my Vinyl? W-w-w-what do you mean? "Come on Flutter i'll tell you on the way" The two Mares walked towards the farm...
The two where talking about the incident in the club. " I know you're really smart too, but do you follow what i found out? " Twilight would ask. "Oh Yes"Flutter would review "When i went into the club it was a different reality, the vinyl scratch i spoke to was the one from this reality." Then somehow when you went in you spoke to another Vinyl, one who doesn't know Sparkle or hasn't met her yet. Flutter pondered on a couple points "Only things i don't get is why Sparkle seems to know us, but we have no memory of her. "Even Rarity didn't remember and that WAS a dress she made, how would sparkle have gotten it?" Twi smiled " Precisely, those are excellant questions, both have the same answer." They both said it together " Sparkle is from another reality, but witch one? " The unicorn pondered now. " We'd have to ask Applejack, she didn't meet her when we did, she would have just met her if the fillies came here"
Off in the distance down the path Twilight saw her loyal assistant Spike. "Hey Flutter you see who's down there. She looked down the path and smiled "Why that's your cute baby dragon, i really like him a lot" she'd look to the right. "Oh m-m-my that's Big Macintosh over there " She'd stare starry eyed at the large strong red stallion. "Why didn't he want to keep me? I still feel like i did something wrong, i still love him. Twilight swatted her " Snap out of it Flutter, you guys had different ideas of love, and well he was as shy as you or even more so." "Hey Twi and Flutter what are you guys doing here?" Spike the baby purple dragon saw them while Flutter was watching Big Mac. " I would ask you the same thing spike." Twilight seemed a bit miffed. "Chasing Aj's tail I'll bet." "Can you blame me? " He chuckled. Twi did not look amused. " You had so much work to do today at the library, remeber? " Spike Smiled proudly " Aw don't worry i got it done, well Aj helped and fixer your leak, Rarity taught me generosity so i came to help Them with the farm" he climbed up on Twilight's back " it's not fun to work here i'm beat" Spike was worried usually by now Flutter was talking to him constantly. "Flutter? hey Flutter? OH... " He'd watch as flutter would be walking down the hill with Big Mac chatting quietly, one could hear the conversation a little as they approached. "You mean you have seen the fillies ? " Flutter spoke "Yup, dey went ta talk ta Aj" The red stallion would say more then anyone's heard him say . "Did they happen to have a midnight blue filly with them" Twilight asked "Yup, afer dey went ta the top field ah hadta do some work and lost dem. Ah needta get back te work" Mac smiled "nice ta see ya Miss twilight" he bent to Fluttershy "Mah dear ah'm glad ta have gotten ta see ya agin, and well ya know ah'm still available and ah love ya still" He planted a sweet kiss on Fluttershy's lips "I-i-i- w--w-will seriously t-t-t-think on it, i umm missed you too" Flutter kissed him back and watched as he headed up the hill .
Spike made a disgusted face and twi shook her head. Flutter was beaming "What? you never found that special stallion? anyways, what did spike say about our friend? Twilight and flutter looked at him, spike jumped a little on her back. " I saw a filly i never saw before, she was talking to me telling me about the time we met...but i was just hatched when she spoke of it...she called herself "Princess Sparkle Sky" Told her i didn't know her. " "Where did you see her last Cutie?" Flutter spoke. "Last i saw her she was heading for that old clubhouse,you remember the one Applebloom rebuilt? Used to be where AJ would hang out." Spike would say confidently. They walk toward the hollow area, looking for Applejack. They where going to test her, she never lied and would be the voice of reason. If SHE knew Sparkle as she claims she was, then maybe they where in the wrong reality themselves. This was where Flutter would stay behind Twilight Sparkle, since she was a little afraid of AJ. They walked up to Applejack as she was bucking a tree, under that tree was Caramel Apple, a farm pony who worked here because of AJ he was waiting to catch the apples. "Hey Aj, i know your busy but i need to talk with you." Twi said. The golden Earth pony was kicking at the tree clearing it in one shot. "Well Ya'll ah got tahm, and dis ain't to much work what ken ah do fer yah? "We're looking for our friend, spike and big mac told us where to find her, but i need to know" Twilight paused "Do you know a Princess Sparkle Sky? She's a midnight blue alicorn, or she WAS." AJ looked " Come on twi ah gotta get da trees done, please dun yammer on jest get to the point" " Oh sorry " Twi continued "Sparkle said that she helped you out two years ago clearing the apple trees with her magic,also said she helped you get aquainted with Prince Scarlet Seas." Aj looked at her very confused... "Naw ah just met Sparkle and she's a filly, ain't no way she'd be able ta talk ta a prince at her age. She does have some good magic though, no offence Twi but ah tink she's better den ya at it, anywho ya'll gonna find her in the clubhouse if'n dey didn't follow Trixie to town. The two mares Jumped and both yelled "TRIXIE?!!" "Oh no no no that's very bad" flutter would stammer. Twilight would gallop off heading for town Flutter flying behind. "Get Dash and Rarity and get your tails to the commons, we're gonna get pinky!! HURRY!!" The two ran off to town.
