Chapter 1
The Tradition

Sharp Spell is Celestia's best student in Canterlot 1000 years ago, long before Twilight Sparkle, in fact he's her great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great great grandfather from long ago. Sharp Spell was in his room in the Canterlot Castle as he was reading a few books on magic, which was also known as the castle library. He continued to the the many books piled around him as he heard a knock from his door. He went to open the door to find Princess Celestia with her flowing pink mane smiling upon her student. "Hello Sharp, are things well with you?"

"Yes Princess, though all of this reading is somewhat boring." He doubts himself as he picked up a random book. "Like this book of master spells. I read it over about a dozen times and I've pretty much mastered it." He said as he placed down the book and slumped over a random pile of books causing his teacher to giggle.

"Worry not my young student, I have an assignment for you."

The student's head popped up as he beaming like the sun. "An assignment? Oh good, I've been looking for something to do around this castle. What is the assignment princess?"

"I want you to accompany me to Cloudsdale, we will partake in a special tradition there."

"Okay princess, when will we be leaving?"

"In a few minutes. Please note that we will be staying there for a few days so pack well." The princess informed as she bowed to her student and left him for his packing.

Sharp was in his room as a thousands words of theories raced around his mine. "Hmmmm so a tradition in Cloudsdale? Haven't been there before, might be fun." He said to himself as he ran around in his room packing up his saddlebag of clothes, toothbrush and paste, paper, ink, quills, and best of all books. He packed up all that he needed in a fairly sized backpack as he trotted outside of the castle. The time was near winter as he heard the call from his teacher being made nearby. "Hello princess, are we ready to go to Cloudsdale? I am excited." The student said as Celestia chuckled at his gleefulness.

"Yes we are ready." She said as both ponies climbed onto the carriage and rode off into the sea of clouds. The young student had nothing but glee on his face, but for his teacher, she had a sad long face. She had remember what she did just a year ago. It had been at least at year at the choice that she was force to give.

"Princess," Celestia snapped her head back into consciousness as her student called for her. "are you still sad that you banished Luna to the moon?" Asked a concerned Sharp Spell

"Yes Sharp, I am." She said in a sad tone as a tear escaped her eye. "If only I could find some other way to help her." Sharp placed a hoof on Celestia's shoulder as she started to shed less. "I hope she will forgive me."

"It's okay Princess, I'm sure in the future she will forgive you. I promise you on my afterlife."

"Thank you Sharp." The sad princess thanked as the two arrived at the cloud city known as Cloudsdale. "Now Sharp don't forget to activate the master version of cloud walking. It lets you walk on clouds for a few days, instead of of one, which gives you enough days to spend in Cloudsdale."

"Yes princess." Sharp shimmered his horn as his feet began to glow and feel lighter like air. "Alright feet are light, time for the test." Sharp announced as he slowly placed his hoof on the cloud. He could feel it thick as a log, but soft like a marshmallow as he stood on top of the cloud. "Alright, good to see this is working. So where is this tradition being took place princess?"

"At the weather station. Come I will explain what we will be doing there." Sharp nodded as the two made their way towards the weather station of Cloudsdale. "This was introduced just 10 years ago, a small little filly had a dream, to spread happiness across Equestria. She made something small, but beautiful, during a project for a class in Cloudsdale, she took a small piece of ice and she carved it into what she said was a star, a star of winter. She wanted to make winter a time of happiness and so she did as she made more and more. We loved her project, especially Luna as her stars inspired this filly to create them."

"Wow princess, I'm amazed that such a little filly amazed you with a small piece of ice."

"I was surprised too but it was so beautiful. She called them snowflakes. After that project, many pegasi in Cloudsdale began to make more and more snowflakes as they stored them up in clouds and let them fall for all the ponies on land enjoy them and become happy. As the years passed, many pegasi create the wonderful art known as snowflakes and many ponies on Equestria enjoy them, she has made Equestria a new place with these snowflakes. And the fun part is, no snowflake is the same, you can create it in any style you want."

"That is interesting princess, I am excited to partake in this tradition." Sharp said as he hopped around in glee.

"And so am I my young student." The two arrived at the massive cloud building, there were pools, fountains, and waterfalls of liquid rainbows, machines that produced puffy white clouds from buckets of water, wheels with wires plugged into grey painted clouds, and a tall building with a blue white star on the top of it. Also known as the weather station. "Here we are, now let's find Snowdrop."

"Is she the creator of snowflakes?" Asked a curious Sharp Spell.

"Why yes she is, she is about your age, just a year younger and she is a very talented pegasus."

"I bet she is, how come I never heard of her princess?"

"I gave you newspapers about her. Did you read them?" Celestia asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Hmmmm....."

---Flashback Mode---

"Sharp, I have the newspaper for you. It's a very good article and I thought you might want to read it." said a castle maid as she walked inside Sharp's room.

"Sure, just place it on my table." Sharp walked over to the newspaper as he piked up the paper and looked at the article. "Hmm Snowdrop? she made-" He was interrupted as a 'bonk' noise came from his window. He quickly dropped the newspaper as he ran towards the window, he opened it do find his pegasus friend Firefly rubbing her head in pain. "Firefly what are you doing here?"

"Oh I was wondering if you wanted to hang out."

"I got time, sure!"

And he never picked up that newspaper again.

---Back to reality---

"mmmmm nope." Sharp said in a flat tone as the two walked through the colorful factory of weather. They walked in the factory as they found a large door with a ice white star above it. Two pegasi in lab coats, goggles, helmets, gloves, and boots came in with two boxes.

"Princess, you will need this to partake in this tradition." One pegasus said as they both opened the boxes revealing white uniforms, the two were wearing the exact same thing. "And don't worry about your luggage, we will hold it for you until you are finished." The pegasus proletariat said as several pegasi flew over to Sharp and Celestia and brought their bags to the nearest room.

"Of course." Celestia compiled as she levitated a uniform to herself and one for her Sharp. They both put on all the required parts of the uniform as the two pegasi nodded and opened the door. The two entered the room as they found tens of tables of working pegasi making the beautiful ice art known as snowflakes. They came in all shapes and sizes, the two walked through each working pegasi, Sharp noticed something strange...it was quiet.

He leaned in closer to the princess as he was close to her ear. "Uh... princess, why is it so quiet here?" Sharp asked in a whisper.

"That's because each snowflake is very delicate. It's like glass basically, but they are very thin like paper." Celestia whispered back.

"That's amazing." Sharp snapped out lout as every pegasus in the room shushed him as he shrunk back in embarrassment. "Sorry." he apologized in whisper. "So where is Snowdrop?"

"She's right over here." Celestia responded as she pointed towards an icy blue pegasus mare working on snowflakes. The two walked over behind her as Celestia cleared her throat. "Snowdrop?"

The pegasus mare jumped in surprise as she nearly dropped her work in progress, she turned to find Princess Celestia smiling upon her. "Oh princess! It's so good to seee you." She said as she ran over and embraced Celestia, who also embraced back. "It's so great that you wish to partake in snowflake making." She whispers as she beamed at the princess.

The princess breaks the hug as she cleared her throat as pushed Sharp Spell forward. "Snowdrop, I'd like you to meet my personal student, Sharp Spell." Celestia introduced as Sharp Spell was frozen like an ice cube. Not only him but Snowdrop stared at him like an owl, her cheeks felt warm like Celestia's sun in the spring. As for Sharp Spell, he felt the same way.

Sharp's head was plagued with many thoughts, most acted like a little filly on fire. She's so....beautiful.

I don't inside me, sure she's.....cool looking but that doesn't mean I have a crush on her.

Yes you do.

Do not.

Do too.

NOT "H-Hello" Sharp Spell introduced timidly.

"Um...Hello." The pegasus said in a shy tone.

Omigosh he said hi to me!

And he's so cute.

I wonder if he likes me.

I but he does.

Oh what do I say now?

Celestia couldn't help but chuckle as she easily put the pieces together for those two. "Snowdrop, may you please teach us as to how to make snowflakes?" Celestia insisted as the icy snow pegasus mare snapped back into consciousness as she bowed her head in apology.

"Yes of course, right this way." The pegasus compiled as she led the two ponies to another room. Inside were massive blocks of ice, there were many pegasi who were shaving the ice until they had a nice sheet of ice and placed it gently on a tray and brought it into the room they were just in. "This is the resource room, this is where we get all the ice to make snowflakes. It's really easy, all you do is take a razor and shave a paper sheet of ice. Be careful though, that razor is sharp enough to cut your tongue." The mare informed as a pegasus brought in a tray of three separate razor blades. The three ponies grabbed the blades with there mouths as they approached a glacier of marble white ice. "So you must gently press down the blade of the ice as you get a the paper thin ice. Be careful not to make tot thin, tot thick, too long, or too short. Any damage to the ice would result as a waste and we have to throw it away." The mare informed with the razor blade in her mouth as she placed the blade on the ice. "Let me show you first before you try it yourself."

Snowdrop slowly and gently pressed down the blade as a sheet of ice began to form, it was small like a sticky note and thin like paper. She then pulled away from the ice as the ice sheet fell slowly onto the mare's hand. "And this is ice paper, we use these to either make multiple snowflakes, or one big one."

"Cool, may I try?" Asked Sharp

"Go ahead." Sharp walked up to the icy mountain as he placed the blade on the ice. He pushed down the blade as it slipped causing his razor to fall to the floor, and causing the stallion to slip his head making contact with the ice wall and his forehead.

"Owww....." The stallion whimpered in pain as the two mares behind him giggled in torment. "Okay I got this." Sharp proclaimed as he picked up the blade and pressed it down on the ice, this time with more prestige he gently pushed it down until a sheet of ice was removed from the icy mountain. Sharp quickly placed his hoof under the paper as it gently landed on his hoof. "Yes! Got it!" Sharp exclaimed as his newly born paper, shattered like glass. "What!?"

Snowdrop couldn't help but giggle at the stallion's failure. "You had it, but you were too loud. Now let's get some ice paper, shall we?"

"Of course, it would be my honor." Celestia said as the three ponies began to carve into the rock ice walls as they collected several pieces of ice paper.

"So is this enough? With this amount, it just looks like cardboard." Sharp theorized as he picked up a small tray full of paper ice.

"Yes, it's enough to fill a whole cloud. Now let's go to the modeling station, it's where we make our snowflakes." The two Canterlot ponies nodded as Snowdrop lead them towards the same room with several working pegasi. "Now we must stay very quiet, each snowflake is very delicate." Snowdrop whispered as she led the two to an empty work table. "Now let's get started." She quietly said as she laid down three sheets of ice paper for each of them.

"Soo, what do we use to carve snowflakes?"

"Well, you can use a feather or a quill to carve snowflakes. Just be gentle because if you press to hard, you could shatter the whole thing."

"Alright." Followed Sharp as he grabbed a nearby feather and levitated it above the ice paper. He slowly pressed the sharp tip of the feather against the ice as he slowly moved it left and right slowly carving the piece of ice. In a slow and long process, Sharp was able to create a fairly decorative snowflake. "Is this good?" He asked the two mares.

"It doesn't matter." Said Snowdrop. "No snowflake can ever be the same, it's what make's snowflake making fun. You can make any design you want. The more unique the design, the more happy the ponies of Equestria can be." The two laughed as they paused in red embarrassment. "Let's see yours Celestia." The princess nodded as she levitated up her complete snowflake.

The two ponies both dropped their jaws to the floor at the decorative design of this snowflake. "Wow princess, that's an amazing design!" Sharp quietly exclaimed.

"Yes, It's the best I've seen." Complimented Snowdrop.

"So where do we take these snowflakes?"

"Just over to the ice clouds. It's where we store the snowflakes for them to fall." All three of them walked over to the clouds as Snowdrop and Celestia flew over to the clouds, leaving Sharp Spell behind. Snowdrop looked over to find Sharp sitting lonely on the cloud floor as she quickly flew over to the lonely unicorn. "Oh sorry I forgot you don't have wings." She apologized as she dropped her head down.

"Yea, It's okay. So how am I going to put this in the cloud?" Asked a confused Sharp Spell.

"Hmmm...... how about you ride on my back?" Sharp Spell suddenly cringed back at the suggestion and turned pink in his cheeks.

"Umm..... I uh...are you sure? I mean I could just try to use the wing spell." Suggested a timid Sharp Spell

"Well I don't want you to over use your magic, so you can just ride on my back." Clarified Snowdrop as Sharp opened his mouth in suggestion, but said nothing in defeat as there was nothing to protest about.

"Alright fine." Snowdrop landed on the cloud floor that Sharp stood on. She lowered herself as Sharp carefully sat on Snowdrop's back. Snowdrop slowly lifted up from the cloud as she carried sharp on her back, as they came in close to the white filled air puff, Sharp took his snowflake and levitated it into the cloud.

---Meanwhile in Snowdrop's head---

Ohmigosh ohmigosh ohmigoooooosh he's riding on me.

Y'know that sounds wrong right?

I don't care! He's so soft and CUTE!!!

Yea, he is. This is good, keep going and make sure that he kisses you.

Gaahhh! Too far, it's too soon for that now!

Well at least ask him out.

But I don't know if I can talk to him. I mean he's a-

"Snowdrop?" Snowdrop snapped back into consciousness as she looked up at the confused Sharp Spell. "You gonna put me down now? We've been up here for a few minutes and everypony starting to watch." Sharp said in embarrassment as Snowdrop turned red and quickly flew down on the base cloud floors. Sharp hopped off as he stared at Snowdrop who continued to be red like a rose. "You okay? You zoned out up there."

"I-I-I-I-I-I'm fine, I uhh... had something on my mind." Snowdrop exclaimed as she covered her face with her wings.

"Oh well okay, well Celestia and I are going to our hotel rooms. You're kinda cool, we should chat sometime." Sharp shrugged as him and the princess walked away from the pegasus mare.

Smooth move, "we should chat sometime" reeaaaaaal smooth.

Shut it, at least I can get the chance to know her.

And whyyyy?

Because she's......kinda cute.

HA! KNEW IT!!!

Oh shut it!

As the two Canterlot ponies exited the weather station, they took off their uniforms and give it to the workers in exchange for their luggage. Sharp and Celestia soon arrived in their hotel as they soon entered their rooms. Sharp had his own room for obvious reasons, he took his key and opened his room door. Everything was made of clouds but felt like real wood, they were colored and looked exactly like a hotel in Equestria. He threw his saddlebag in the corner as he slumped on the bed as stared at the ceiling. "Man, I think I'm going to enjoy my stay here." Sharp said with a smirk as he slowly drifted off to sleep.

---Meanwhile with Celestia---

"Bwahahahahaha I can't believe he has a crush on Snowdrop! Bwahahahahaha!!!"

Chapter 2
The Eyes of Ice

Sharp woke up in his room in the early morning of his teacher's sun. He rose from his marshmallow like bed as he let out a relaxing yawn and trotted towards the bathroom. He trotted inside his shower and tapped the cloud above him, hot rain water began to shower over him as he washed himself over his hot shower. He finished his shower as he took his towel and was about to dry himself off, but he was interrupted as he heard a ring from his door. He slacked the towel over his neck as he trotted towards the door. "Coming." He said as he opened the door to reveal Snowdrop.

Snowdrop was standing in front of Sharp as she gazed upon his wet coat. She could feel her wings starting to raise up as she quickly tried to think of something else in her mine. Her cheeks turned red as Celestia's sunset as she tried to hide her face from Sharp. "Oh I'm sorry Sharp, I didn't know you were taking a shower." Snowdrop apologized as she continued to mask her face with her wings.

"No it's okay, so why are you here?"

"I was uh... wondering if you wanted to grab some breakfast?" She asked in a timid tone as Sharp started to rub the towel on his mane.

"Yea sure, just lemme dry off and grab a few things." Sharp informed as he walked inside his room. "Come in Come in, I don't bite." Snowdrop compiled as she walked inside Sharp's hotel room. Sharp continued to dry off as his coat was completely dry and his mane was partially dry. He walked inside his room as he levitated his backpack on his back as he strapped it tight as walked into the living room. He picked up a few books, papers, ink, and quills as Snowdrop awaiting patiently on the couch. "Alright ready to go!" He pronounced as Snowdrop flew up from the couch.

"So where do you want to go?" Asked Snowdrop.

"I don't know, you're the native..." Sharp stated in an obvious tone as Snowdrop blushed in embarrassment.

"Oh right sorry, well there is The Sweet Puff, it's a cafe that serves breakfast and lunch."

"Cool, let's head on down there." Sharp pronounced as the two ponies walked out of his room. "Hold on." Sharp paused as he pulled out a some paper and wrote a note, he stuck it to the wall as he signed the last section of his note. "Okay, now let's go." Sharp finished as the two ponies walked out of the hotel and down the fluffy roads of Cloudsdale.

"So what was that note for?" asked a curios Snowdrop.

"I just wanted to tell Celestia where I went." Sharp answered as the two arrived at a cloud building that had the shape of a marshmallow with a liquid rainbow trails swirling around the entire cloud building. "So this is The Sweet Puff? Looks like a marshmallow." Sharp stated as Snowdrop started to giggle.

"Yea, this place is great. And the owner is really funny, she's one of my best friends too." Snowdrop said as Sharp trotted to the door and left it open for Snowdrop.

"After you." Sharp said in a smooth tone. That was sooo bad.

Shud up!

"A gentlecold, thank you!" Snowdrop complimented in a sweet tone as she entered with Sharp behind her. As they entered the building Sharp could see a wall of sweets, there were lollipops, cake, pie, brownies, donuts, cookies, cupcakes, muffins, pastries, and even candy. "Surprise, are you here?" Snowdrop asked as a white pegasus mare with a puffy yellow mane popped out from under the counter.

"Hiya Snowy! What can I get cha?" The cloud white pegasus ask as she glanced over to the unicorn. "Hey Kewl, who's this Snowdrop?" Asked the white pegasus mare.

"This is my new friend Sharp Spell. He is visiting here with Celestia for a few days to partake in snowflake making." Snowdrop answered as Sharp bowed his head in great.

"Nice to meet you." greeted Sharp.

"Nice ta meet cha too, I'm Surprise and I run this place and throw PARTIES!" The pegasus mare yelled as she flew around in circles in the cafe. She paused as she flew behind her counter smiling at the two costumers. "But to smiles, what can I getcha to eat?" The two sat down at the counter as they skimmed through the menu.

"I'll have some eggs and iced tie please." Sharp ordered.

"And I'll have some pancakes and an orange juice please." Snowdrop ordered as the white pegasus wrote down their orders.

"Alright, I'll be back in a moment. And Snowdrop I've been meaning to ask?" Snowdrop raised her eyebrow in confusion. "Is Sharp your coltfriend?" Asked Surprise as the two ponies turned red like a rose with jaws snapped open as they looked at each other blushing even more.

"N-NO! We're just friends!" Snowdrop pleaded as she covered her face with her wings.

"Y-YEA! W-What she said!" Sharp followed as the white pegasus started to snicker with mischief.

"Heheheheh sorry, I just got curios. Well just wait here, I'll work on your orders right away." The party mare announced as she flew to the back of the cafe creating sounds of sizzling and crackling leaving the two ponies alone, little did they know, she finished their order in just seconds. "Heh heh heh, I wonder what they will do."

"Hey Snowdrop-" Snowdrop lifted her ear in compile. "I was wondering, your eyes are...well, can I ask you a question?" Asked Sharp in a timid tone

"Yea sure, anything."

"Are you blind? It's been plaguing my mind since I saw your eyes." Sharp asked as Snowdrop gave a soft sigh but smiled at the question.

"Yes I am."

"But I noticed that you could navigate your way through the city, even through the front door. My second question is how?"

"Oh well that's easy. Princess Luna herself loved my snowflakes idea that she offered me a gift. She cast a spell on me that could make me see, but the problem is, I'm colorblind now." She said in a small sad tone but she still smiled. "But on the bright side, I can still see."

"So your colorblind, but can you still see colors? like red and green?"

"No, she may have cured my blindness but I have a rare colorblind that some ponies have, and since this was magically made, it can't be cured. This type is monochomacy, I can only see grey, black, and white colors. So I don't know what colors look like, other than their shape."

"I-I'm so sorry, I wish they had a cure for you."

"It's okay, at least I can see and that's what matters." Snowdrop said gleefully as Surprise came back with their orders on top of her tail and mane.

"How can she do that?" Asked a timid Sharp.

"Nopony knows, but we just go with it." Answered Snowdrop as Surprise placed their orders on the counter.

"Okay, well since you two are my first costumers today, your orders a free." Surprise said in a cheerful tone.

Sharp looked at the meal and the white pegasus in a surprised expression across his face. "Are you sure? I mean I can pay." Sharp offered as Surprised placed a hoof in front of his face.

"NO! Please I insist, I just love making ponies smile!" Surprise said in a cheerful tone as she cracked open a massive smile across her face.

"Alright, if you insist." Sharp gave in a defeated tone as he took some pepper and shook the flaky crushed herbs onto his eggs, he took a bite and look at the white pegasus with a smile. "These are delicious, thanks Surprise."

"You're welcome, now you want any sweets?" Asked the party pegasus.

"No thanks, I'll stick to brain food." Answered Sharp as he continued to eat his eggs.

"What about you Snowy?"

"A slice of cheesecake?" Asked the ice mare as Surprise nodded and pulled out a slice of cheesecake from under the counter. "Thanks."

After chatting, fun, and eating, the two ponies left the cafe as they said their goodbyes to the yellow maned pegasus. The two walked down the puffy streets of Cloudsdale as Snowdrop took her wing and grabbed Sharp's hoof as she dragged him around town. "C'mon, I want you to see somepony very special to me." Said the ice colored mare as Sharp gave in and became the fish on a hook. Snowdrop pulled the green unicorn as they reached a lone cloud house away from the city in the sky. Snowdrop flew up as she picked up Sharp by his armpits as she carried him towards the cloud house. "This is my home, it's not much but it's my favorite place in the city. Now I wan't you to meet somepony special to me." Snowdrop said as she opened the door. "Mother, are you home?"

"Snowdrop? Are you there?"

"Yes mother, and I have a new friend here." Snowdrop answered as a cream colored pegasus with a pink and white stripped mane walked into the living room. "Mother this is my new friend Sharp Spell. Sharp, this is my mother Primrose."

Sharp walked over to the mother as he took her hoof and kissed it. "It's nice to meet you Primrose."

"Nice to meet you too Sharp, my my what a gentlecolt."

"Funny that's what your daughter said when I opened the door for her." Sharp joked as Snowdrop turned pink in within her cheeks.

"M-Mother, Sharp is from Canterlot. He's Celestia's personal student." Snowdrop informed as Primrose's eyes widen with a warming smile across her face.

"My my a royal pony, it's been a long time since we've had any company from Canterlot to join us." said Primrose

"Well I bet you don't get much visitors, not with this house. But it's a nice house, away from the public, I like that."

"Thank you, that's very sweet of you. Snowdrop, is this your new coltfriend?" Asked a curios mother as Snowdrop and Sharp Spell both blushed red and broke open their jaws.

"M-MOTHER!" Snowdrop pleaded in embarrassment as her mother started to giggle.

"How many times will ponies assume this?" Sharp asked in a loud tone as Snowdrop's mother continued to giggle.

"I'm sorry, but it's nice to have company. Would like to sit down for some tea?" Asked Primrose

"Sure, I love tea." The three sat down as Primrose had three cups and a teapot full of hot tea as they drank and chatted throughout the day.

"So Sharp, what do you do in Canterlot?"

"Well read, study, and draw at time to time. I mostly spend my time in the castle studying magic and practicing spells, which is how I'm standing on this very city right now."

"My goodness that is impressive, what about your parents? What to they do in Canterlot?" Asked Primrose as Sharp's smile slowly started the descend into a sad frown. He gave a heavy sigh as he took a large sip from his tea.

"I...I don't know, I never met my parents. I was born during the Feather Striped war, the war when Equestria was in a triangular war with Zebrica and Griffania. When Canterlot was invaded, my parents were killed when I was only a few months old. Nopony remembers how, but I know deep down inside they loved me and protected with their whole bodies, literally."

Both Primrose and Snowdrop's ears slowly descended at the sad story from. "I'm so sorry, I didn't know."

"It's okay, I know that they loved me and would give anything, unfortunately it was their lives."

"Then how did Celestia take you in as a student?"

"When I was about a colt, Celestia found me in the trash scrapping for food. She didn't want me to starve so she took me in the castle. She was kind enough to have a DNA test to find out who I matched with, but when they did, they found my dead parents. Celestia felt bad for me that she took me in as her son and has been raising me ever since, teaching me the works of magic and I loved it." Sharp finished as he took a sip from his tea. "But it's past me and I learned to look at the present and future of my life.."

"I'm really sorry for your loss, I wish there was something we could do." said Primrose

"No nopony can help this crack in my heart. Death is the only answer, it's not rewritten but concluded. It can be scrapped, finished, or rushed just like a story. Not even the princesses could help my parents."

"Well I wish you the best of luck." Primrose complimented as she looked over to the clock. "Snowdrop, isn't it about time you should get to work on the snowflakes?" Asked the mother.

"Oh right, c'mon Sharp, we need to make more snowflakes for tomorrow's winter fall."

"You go on ahead, I need to ask your mother a question." Snowdrop nodded as she soared out of her house and flew off into the distant. "Primrose, I've noticed something about your daughter. She looks about your age as if she could be your sister. Care to explain?"

The cream colored pegasus mother gave a deep sigh as she set her drink down and looked at the unicorn with eyes of care and joy. "Well, when I was younger about a teenage mare-"

Chapter 3
Filly of Mystery

The winds were fierce as a winds roared across the cold cloud city known as Cloudsdale. A teenage pegasus mare with a cream colored coat and pink and white striped mane was walking through the tough winds of the cloud city as she battled fearlessly through the harsh winds. "Goodness, are there windigos here?" She question herself as she continued to crawl through the tidal wave of icy wind. As she continued to walk through the city, she stopped and rested in a nearby alley as she tried to catch her breath. She sat down as she breathed heavily to regain some energy. Nearby a box moved, the teenage mare took a quick glance at the closed box that it started to lightly rumble. "Huh?" The mare slowly approach the box as she reached out her hoof, but the box cover popped open from a small kick to reveal an icy blue baby filly with a white and whitish blue striped mane and beautiful crystal ice blue eyes.

"Oh my, what are you doing here?" The mare asked as she looked around to see if anypony was around her, but there was nopony. "Helloooooo? Does anypony know who this foal belongs to?" The mare asked as she looked at the baby foal. Her eyes gazed upon the teenage mare as she gave a soft yawn and slowly drifted off to sleep. Ohhhhhhh so cute! The teenage mare exclaimed to herself as she scooped the box and kept it closed as she carried the baby through the terrible storm of Cloudsdale. She carried the sleeping foal as she reached a small house away from the city, she flew towards the house as she walked inside and placed the foal in a box on the couch. "Mother? Mother!?" The teenage mare called out for her mother as hoofsteps came from a nearby room.

"Yes Primrose? What is it?" The mother asked as she walked in the living room to find her daughter with a nervous look on her face. "Primrose, is something the matter?"

"Well mother, upon my return here to home, I came across a fragile and odd...object." Primrose started as she pointed at the box.

"What is inside the box?" Asked her mother as she stepped in closer to it. Primrose and her mother both sat next to the box as Primrose opened it to reveal a small leaving pegasus foal causing her mother's eyes to widen with surprise. "Primrose, where did you find this baby?" Asked a confused and shocked mother.

"I found her in the alley alone mother. I tried to look for her mother or father but I had no luck, I couldn't see anypony because of the storm." Primrose quickly explained as the young foal gave a small soft yawn and continued to sleep. "I couldn't just leave her outside in the storm."

"I'm glad you saved this baby Primrose, but we can't just keep it."

"We have to mother, I don't think she can make it on her own." Primrose objected as she defended at baby foal.

"Then who's going to take care of her? I certainly will not, not with the small space we have."

Primrose thought long and hard as she looked at the sleeping foal who had a smile on her face. "I will." Proclaimed Primrose as she picked up the baby.

"W-What?"

"I will mother, I need to learn of responsibility. And so I will take this challenge."

"Primrose, are you really sure you can take care of this foal? What will you even name her?" Asked Primrose's mother as a knocking came from the front door. Primrose set the foal back in the box as she opened the door to reveal a jet black stallion with a yellow spiky mane.

"Hey Primrose, you ready to drop the snow clouds off at the weather station to make more water?" Asked the stallion as Primrose looked around for a distraction.

"Yes Thunder Rod, just let me help my mother tend to the flowers, then I'll meet you at the station." Primrose averted as she quickly looked at the baby foal.

"Oh, okay! I'll see ya later!" Thunder shrugged as he flew off into the distance towards the weather factory. Primrose walked back to her mother and the foal as her mother scratched her chin.

"What shall we name her?" Asked Primrose's mother.

"I don't know." Shrugged Primrose as she picked up the baby foal.

"Well, maybe we can think while we tender to the new snowdrops." announced Primrose's mother as she nodded and followed her to the back of the house. There were boxes full of soil and white flowers with petals hanging down like raindrops. Primrose walked up to one as she bent down with the foal in her hoof and gave a plentiful whiff as she could smell the fresh blooms of the flower. The baby foal reached out to the flower as she plucked it changing Primrose and her mother's faces into shock. "Oh my, it looks like we can't sell this batch in the market." Proclaimed Primrose's mother as the baby foal giggle causing Primrose's mother to give an get away smile. "Oh well, as long as the baby is okay."

*Quick author's note. "When Primrose's mother means snowdrops, she means the flowers. Here is a picture of what they look like, just to clarify things, have fun reading the rest of the story :)*

Primrose watched as the baby foal played around with the white flower as she balanced the tip of the broken stem on top of her nose. It fell as it landed on her bellybutton causing the little filly to giggle as the petals started to tickle her like feathers. "So you like snowdrops don't you little cutie?" Asked Primrose as the baby filly started to giggle some more. "Hmmm, how about that, Snowdrop. That's your new name. Welcome to the family Snowdrop."

"And so I have been raising her as my own ever since. I told her eventually and she took it quite well to a surprise, she was glad to have a family like my mother and I. After a few years of selling flowers, my mother died from a terrible illness, I was in grief and Snowdrop was only 6 at the time. But she was the only one who kept me smiling, so I became my own, I raised her as if mother had raised me. Over the years of taking care of her, I found out she was blind, so I helped her navigate the city. I carved in little crater into the cloud streets so that she could feel her way towards the school that she went to. But then after her class project, and thanks to Princess Luna, she is no longer blind, but color blind. But I couldn't ask for anything else." Primrose story told as she looked up at a picture of her mother and gave a soft sigh at her. Her coat was white as her yellow mane was separated into small sections like petals on a flower. Sharp walked up to the portrait as he read the carving.

"Dandelion Wing. I think I heard about her. She was the one who rejected the 1st place award at the flower show, I was surprised as everypony else, I mean her orchid flower was amazing, it's petals had all the colors of a rainbow, she won, but she rejected the award." Sharp remembered as Primrose gave a soft sigh as she walked next to the unicorn. He looked next to Dandelion's portrait as he gazed at a picture of the exact orchid that was displayed during the flower show.

"Yes, I asked her why she didn't take the award and she told me this. "Metal and paper isn't something to remember, it's not something to keep what we remember. What we remember what comes from within, to make new memories for us to remember." Primrose recited as she let out a single tear. "I've still kept those words to this day, even Snowdrop was fond of them. I was so proud when she rejected the trophy for that class project. Because she told me that the real trophy, was a new happy season." Primrose remembered as more tears started to spill out from her eyes. Sharp Spell gave a hug towards the young mother as he patted her back.

"Go ahead, let it all out. You deserve to release your watering can of love." Sharp advised as Primrose let out a waterfall of tears full our love and proud memories.

"Thank you Sharp, please promise me something." Pleaded Primrose as Sharp broke the hug and looked at the young mother in confusion. "Please take care of my daughter, I can feel that you are just right for her."

Sharp gave a heavy sigh as he looked at Primrose straight in the eyes. "I will, by Celestia's crown I will take care of your daughter. I swear this on my life." Sharp promised as Primrose started to tear up more with remorse and happiness.

"Thank you. Now I think you should go with Snowdrop, she's waiting you know." Sharp Spell nodded as he walked outside the house to reveal a path made up of small clouds. On the ground Sharp found a small note.

Dear Sharp,

I remembered that you couldn't fly, so I made a path of clouds for you so you could walk back to the factory, hope to see you soon.

-Snowdrop

Sharp smiled at the note as he hopped from one cloud to another as he reached the main part of Cloudsdale. As Sharp walked along the streets of the cloud city, he could feel a slight tap on the top of his head. He looked up to find a single snowdrop flower on his head. He levitated it in front of him as he felt another one land on top of his head. He looked up in the sky to find no cloud, nor pegasus pulling a prank.

Thank you

He heard from the farthest distance as he looked around only to find nopony near him. As he continued walked he felt something a little heavier tap him on top of his head, he looked up to find a bright, rainbow colored orchid. He took the orchid as he looked towards the sky and smiled. He walked towards the nearest cafe with a flower bed as he placed the flower within the bed of different ones. He continued to walk as the rainbow flower grew stems as it plugged itself inside the new bed of flowers, the stem started to grow as the flower reached it's maximum height as leaves started to grow, other ponies started to crowd over it as they were amazed at the color and texture.

"Wow!"

"Cool."

"It's so beautiful."

"I love the rainbow color!" Ponies compliments as a single drop of water came from the orchid. The drop of water looked heavier and was sweet with pride and joy. It dropped out of the orchid as the rainbow colors of the petals began to swivel like a wave as ponies became amazed at the plant.

Sharp continued to walk with a small but proud smile as ponies gathered around the magical plant. He walked as he reached the massive weather factory as he put on his uniform and went inside. He opened the door towards the snowflake station as he tip-hoofed his way towards the nearest table. He picked up his tools as he started to make snowflakes from different patterns, shapes, and sizes. After about a few tens of snowflakes, he felt a hoof tap on his shoulder, he turned to find Princess Celestia smiling down on him. "Yes princess?"

"I saw what happened at that cafe." Celestia reminded as Sharp gave a small smirk as he turned to continue with his snowflakes. "I am very proud of you Sharp, I just wish Luna could see this." Celestia said in a low tone as Sharp turned around.

"Don't worry princess, she will forgive you eventually." Sharp comforted as the sun goddess smiled upon her student. "By the way princess, have you seen Snowdrop?"

"Yes, she is right now filling in more clouds. May I ask why Sharp?"

"Because I want to do something special for her and I need your help. With your permission your highness."

"Of course, anything you need, just ask me. What is it that you will do for Snowdrop?" Sharp Spell leaned in close to the princess' ear as he whispered his entire plan causing his teacher to giggled and smile upon her student.

Chapter 4
True Colors

Sharp Spell had just finished his last batch of snowflakes for the winter season. He wiped away his sweats of hard work as he picked up his tray of art through levitation as he carried it towards the cloud station. As he trotted towards the orchards of clouds, he levitated his flakes to the nearest cloud as he carefully poured his art inside the white puff. He smiled at his achievement as he took off his lab coat and gear, returned them to the factory staff and trotted down the fluffy streets of Cloudsdale. As he trotted he looked around for Snowdrop to show her something that could change her life forever, problem is, where is she?

Where is she?

You like her don't you?

Well she's.....kinda cute.

HA I KNEW IT!

Maybe she's at The Sweet Puff. Sharp theorized as he trotted around the cloud town. After several minutes of wondering around the puffy town, Sharp found the marshmallow shaped building as he saw several ponies inside. He walked inside as he saw Surprise flying to several pegasi with orders balancing on her mane and tail as she served them with happy smiles and food. She noticed Sharp was standing at the door as a massive smile cracked on her face as she flew in front of the stallion.

"Hiya Sharpy!" Surprise greeted in a hyper tone as Sharp facehooved himself.

"Please don't call me that...ever..." Said the blue unicorn in a low tone causing the pegasus to giggle.

"Sorry, but I love nicknames. So, what can I getcha?" Asked the waitress pegasus as she pulled out a pencil and a notepad.

"Acutally, I was looking for Snowdrop, have you seen her?" Asked the curious unicorn.
.

"Nope sorry." Sharp hung his head in disappointment. "Why are ya looking for her anyways?" Asked the white pegasus.

"Well, I-" Sharp paused as he scratched the back of his head.

"You like her don't you?" Surprise predicted wit ha grin as Sharp turned scarlet.

"I-I-I-I uhhh....." Sharp started to sweat as bullets of sweat started to rain down his head. He swallowed down a pill of guilt and embarrassment as he gave out a massive heavy breath. "Y-Yes... I like her." Sharp admitted as he turned to a deep bloody red, as Surprise started to snicker mischievously.

"Well I'm happy for you, are you going to tell her?" Surprise asked as she hung upside down.

"Well, I need to give her something first. Mind keeping this a secret." Sharp pleaded.

"Yep. Cross my heart, hope to fly, stick a cupcake in my eye." Surprise said as she made multiple gestures leaving Sharp confused.

"......what?"

"Oh nothing, now back to Snowdrop. I think I saw her at her house helping her mom."

"Thanks." And with that Sharp left the cloudy cafe and trotted across the cloudy town. He reached Primrose's house as he could see Snowdrop and her mother tending flowers on a nearby cloud. He emitted a light on his horn as he guided a few clouds to make himself a path towards the small cloud house. He hopped from one cloud to another as he reached the small landscape of the house. "Hey Snowdrop." Sharp greeted in a gleaming tone as Snowdrop turned with a beaming smile.

"Oh, hi Sharp, what are you doing here?"

"Well, I just finished my last batch of snowflakes, I thought that I might help you out with your flowers." Offered Sharp as Primrose gave a loving smile at Sharp.

"Yes, we would love that. Thank you Sharp." Primrose thanked with a loving soft tone as Sharp levitated a potting shovel and started to dig into the soil. He picked up a fresh group of snowdrops as he plugged it into the soil and patched up the remaining cracks with dirt.

"Hey uh Snowdrop?" Sharp started as Snowdrop gave a questionable look at him. "I was wondering, if you wanted to hang out tonight, y'know?" Sharp asked with a blush as Snowdrop blushed even deeper.

"Umm...well...I guess so." Snowdrop said as her coat became a small red polish. "What are we going to do?"

"I wanted to try something new with magic, and it's well.... something I've been kinda wanting to do." Sharp explained in weakly as he scratched the back of his head. "Y'see, it's a very advanced spell and it only works once in a unicorn's lifetime. I was hoping you would help me out, feel free to say no of course." Sharp asked with a blush as Snowdrop looked at her mother who nodded in agreement.

"Umm.... okay, sure I'll uh... go."

"Great, meet me at my place around 8." Sharp said as he galloped off towards the main cloud town. Snowdrop stood there confused as her mother started to giggle."

"You like him don't you Snowdrop?" Primrose asked in a giggle as Snowdrop turned scarlet.

"M-Mother, please I-" Snowdrop's head started to polish and turn red as she look around. After a few seconds, she gave a heavy sigh as her coat became unpolished. "Y-Yes, I...like him mother. Are you mad?"

"What? Of course I'm not mad Snowdrop, I wan't you to be happy all your life. I've seen you spread happiness across winter, now I want you to experience it a different way." Her mother confessed as Snowdrop embraced her mother and shed a few tears.

"Thank you mother." Snowdrop said through her tears as Primrose returned the gesture.

"Of course, anything for my daughter."

Hours passed as Sharp was in his hotel room as Luna's moon was shinning out in the night . He grabbed his saddlebags as he filled it with books, scrolls, paper, ink, quills, and even more books. He looked around to see if anything else he had missed before his big project. He opened his room door as his face made contact with a hoof as he fell back eyes closed. "Sharp! Sweet Celestia, are you okay?" At the door was Snowdrop who was about to knock the door, instead, he knocked Sharp upside the head. Snowdrop leaned in towards the unicorn as she took a look at his grey coat. It was grey like a storm cloud, she looked at his black mane which was messy and spiky causing the pegasus to blush. "Oh....my..." The pegasus started to blush to a scarlet color as she leaned in closer to the stallion's head.

Ohhhhh.... he's so cute.

Should I kiss him?

Oh I don't know.

I don't think he likes me back.

Mmmmmmaybe I could just give a peck on his cheek. Thought Snowdrop as she leaned in closer to the unconscious stallion's head. She puckered up her lips as they were mere centimeters away from the stallion's grey cheeks.

"Ugh." Sharp moaned in a small pain as Snowdrop turned scarlet and quickly sprung back away from Sharp. Sharp slowly opened his eyes as he could see Snowdrop in front of him. His face turned scarlet as he started to sweat bullets. He stood up as they both eyed away from each other in embarrassment. "Umm.... let's just go to the cloudy fields. That's where we'll meet the princess." Sharp said as he avoided their embarrassing situation. Snowdrop nodded as the two proceeded out of the hotel and towards a empty large landscape of white fluff.

Celestia sat on her haunches on a small blanket drinking tea as she gazed down on the landscape of Equestria. She could her clouds being squeezed from hooves as she looked behind her to find Snowdrop and Sharp Spell together. "Ah, hello you two. Are you ready for Sharp's experiment?" Asked Celestia as she gave a quick wink towards Sharp.

"Yep." The two said simultaneously as Sharp walked next to Celestia.

"Now Snowdrop, you might feel a slight tingling sensation during the spell. So try not to move, or close your eyes." Warned Sharp as Snowdrop nodded in agreement. "Alright, stand still." Sharp instructed as his and Celestia's horn both started to shine as a circle of light started to surround Snowdrop. beams of light started to surround the pegasus as her eyes started to light up like fire and her eye lids started to twitch in slight tickle. "Don't do it Snowdrop! If you close you're eyes then the spell will fail!" Barked Sharp as Snowdrop endured her eye twitching as Sharp and Celestia's horns both grew bright. Soon, Sharp's left eye started to glow as it slowly started to fade into grey, Snowdrop's eyes started to shade into a darker blue as Sharp yelled in pain. "All....most...got...it!!!" Sharp yelled through pain as all the lights burst into pitch black and then nothing as the three ponies all blew back some feet. Snowdrop crashed on the cloud ground unharmed as Celestia flew up and gained levitation from her wings, as for Sharp, he was nowhere to be found.

"Sharp, Sharp where are you?" Worried Celestia as she flew upward to get a better view. She could see her student on the cloud ground yards away from the magic sight.

"Princess, do you see...him...?" Snowdrop drifted off as she could see something different. She could see something strange, it wasn't grey, nor black, nor white. "W-What is this?" Asked Snowdrop as a tear shed from her eye. She whipped away the tear with her hoof, but she paused as she looked at her own hoof, it was....different. "C-Celestia, what has happened to me!?" Asked Snowdrop in panic.

"I think I can answer that." Snowdrop looked up as she could see a gray stallion with a red spiky mane. He had patches of black all over his body. She could also see that one of his eyes had a white retina in it while the other had a red retina in it.

"W-Who are you?" Snowdrop asked the stallion as he chuckled and smiled at the pegasus.

"Snowdrop, it's me. Sharp, and I just did something special for you." Claimed Sharp as he helped up the pegasus.

"W-What did you do to me Sharp, and what happened to your eye!?" Snowdrop asked in panic as the stallion chuckled softly.

"Snowdrop, welcome to the world of Color"

Chapter 5
Rainbow of Sight

"Welcome Snowdrop, to the world of Color." Sharp announced as Snowdrop look at her hoof, her eyes were tearing from disbelief as Sharp walked over to her with a worried face. "Something wrong, you don't like it?" Snowdrop leaped towards Sharp and she embraced him with all her might. "GAAK Snowdrop... Can't...breath..." Sharp pleaded in a weak tone as the icy mare quickly released her grip.

"Thank you Sharp, I couldn't ask for anything else." Snowdrop said through tears as they showered down rapidly down her cheeks.

"You are very welcome. I may have lost an eye, but at least you're normal." Snowdrop's ears perked up as she backed away from the stallion.

"W-what? Why? You sacrificed one eye for mine?" Snowdrop asked in shock as Sharp started to chuckle.

"Well that's simple, you are a friend of mine, a friend that doesn't feel normal. I felt terrible that you couldn't see the true world, so I decided to help you with that. I gave up my left eye, so that you could see color with both of yours." He said as Snowdrop looked into his left white eye. It was plain white like a sheet of paper, no pupil, no outlines, nothing, just plain white.

"I...I don't know what to say or how to..." Snowdrop was interrupted as she felt the stallion's grey hoof shield her mouth.

"It's okay, you don't have to say anything, but only one word." He let go of her mouth as they both blushed deeply into a rose red color. "Snowdrop, would you like to-"

"SNOWDROOOOP!!!!" Both ponies' faced turned to their normal colors as they looked over in the distance to find Snowdrop's mother flying over with swift speed. She landed in front of the two as she quickly ran towards Snowdrop and embraced her daughter with safety. "Oh thank goodness you're okay, I thought-" Primrose paused as she looked into Snowdrop's eyes. They weren't white, they were a deep oceanic blue. "S-Snowdrop, what happened to your eyes."

Snowdrop looked at her mother, she could admire the beautiful colors of her creamed colored coat and her white and pink striped mane. "M-Mother, I never knew your mane was that color." Snowdrop said in surprise as Primrose's face turned to shock. She turned to the partially burned stallion with a look of confusion.

"Sharp, what did you do to my daughter?" Asked Primrose as Sharp chuckled and cracked a small grin across his face.

"Well Ms. Primrose, I gave up the sight in my left eye and gave it's color to your daughter. She is now normal, she can now see color." Sharp announced as Primrose stood still like a statue as her jaw hung down with disbelief. "You see, thanks to myself and Princess Celestia, we did a master degree spell known as Sight Swap." Primrose and Snowdrop both looked at the stallion with confusion. "You see, the spell is suppose to give the sight of a normal pony to any pony with a disabled vision. But the spell requires a sacrifice, so I sacrificed one of my eyes and gave it to both of Snowdrop's eyes." Sharp clarified as Primrose took another look at her daughter and back to the half blind stallion.

"Thats...That's amazing!" Primrose admired as Sharp bowed down.

"Thank you. Now Snowdrop, I will need to go back to my hotel room and rest. This was one of the hardest spells I have done in my life, so it took a lot of my magic and strength away from my body." Sharp informed as he started to limp away from the ponies. C'mon, C'MON, you can make it, just a little father. Just....a...little... After a few feet of weak limps, Sharp could her the strength in his legs fall apart like a building as he fell to the white floor.

"Sharp!" Snowdrop yelled as she hurried over to the unconscious stallion. Celestia and Primrose soon joined her as Snowdrop placed a hoof on Sharp's neck. She could feel a small pulse tap her hoof. "He's still alive, thank goodness." Snowdrop sighed in relief.

"He needs his rest. Can you please take him back to his room Snowdrop?" Asked the sun goddess as the icy mare saluted in loyalty. Sharp's bags were placed on Snowdrop's back as Sharp was later placed on her back as she started to walk towards the cloud city. Snowdrop's mother followed her as they both made their way towards Cloudsdale. Along the road, Snowdrop could feel the soft winds on her neck as Sharp slept peacefully, her cheeks turned pink as the two continued to walk towards the hotel.

"He is cute for you Snowdrop." Primrose said in a giggle as Snowdrop turned scarlet.

"M-Mother, please! He's still sleeping." Snowdrop pleaded as Primrose giggle mischievously.

The two reached Sharp's hotel room as Snowdrop placed Sharp in his bed. He was sleeping peacefully as Snowdrop admired the colors around her. She could see blue, red, white, green, orange, pink, colors at many different shades and textures. Her mouth gaped open as she admired all of the colors. "It's so beautiful."

"Yes, yes it is." Primrose followed as she looked at the clock. "Oh dear, I'm sorry Snowdrop I wish I could stay but I need to tend to the snowdrops. I think you should stay here in case Sharp needs anything." Primrose said as she walked out the door but stopped halfway and looked at her daughter. "Try not to do anything *giggle* funny." Primrose said in a mischievous tone as she left leaving Snowdrop turn red like blood. And then there were two, Snowdrop was all alone with the stallion that she had a crush on. Her eyes averted to his sleeping head.

Ohhhhh..... He's so cute.

I dare you to kiss him, maybe that'll wake him up.

No, i couldn't I-

C'mooooon, this is your last chance to kiss him. And I don't mean on the cheeks.

I-I-I guess it wouldnt be...so...bad...

Snowdrop leaned over to the sleeping stallion as she slowly moved her lips towards the stallion's face. She puckered up her lips as she was mere centimeters from the stallion's firm lips. Her cheeks turned scarlet as she started to sweat down bullets. Her heart pounded like a drum as she breathed in and out of her nose.

As for Sharp his eyes felt weak from their slumber as he started to crack open his good eye. He could see something sky blue like ice, he could feel something on his lips, like they were being pressed upon. He could taste something...strange, it tasted like sweets and happiness combined. He fully shot open his eyes to see that Snowdrop was kissing him...on the lips. His eyes widened as he let Snowdrop's tongue swirl around his. What the hay is going on!?!?!?

A cute girl is kissing you! Don't mess up or I will destroy you!!!

Snowdrop let go of her lips as she pulled back away from Sharp as she could feel bliss all over her face and body. She looked at Sharp and instantly turned scarlet as she could see that he was awake. The two stared at each other with gaped open mouths and widen eyes as the two stayed silent for the entire time.

"Umm." Started Snowdrop.

"Wow." Said Sharp as the two both blushed with utter embarrassment.

"Um...sorry. I'll just... leave...now." Said Snowdrop in a sad tone as she slowly started to walk away. She suddenly stopped as a hoof was wrapped around her neck, she could feel herself being pulled into Sharp as he pressed his lips onto Snowdrop's as the two shared a passionate kiss. Snowdrop gave a small 'chirp' in the kiss as she could feel that this kiss is different. Sharp broke the kiss as he stared into Snowdrop's new oceanic sapphire eyes, as for Snowdrop, she stared into Sharp's one red ruby eye as the two stayed like that for minutes.

"I...I always liked you Snowdrop. Like, I 'like like' you." Confessed Sharp.

"I felt the same way Sharp, when I first met you."

"Yea, same here." Sharp said as he let out a yawn like a bear. "Sorry, I'm just really tired." Sharp said in a weak tone as Snowdrop giggled as she approached the half blind stallion a little closer.

"I'm tired too, do you mind if I lay down with you?" Asked Snowdrop in a soft tone as Sharp gave a weak nod. Snowdrop slowly climbed into Sharp's bed as she snuggled herself next to the gray stallion. She let out a relaxing sigh as she snuggled closer to the stallion. "I can't wait for tomorrow." Whispered Snowdrop in a soft tone.

"Why's that?"

"Because that's when we start the seasonal Snow Fall, which is also the start of Hearth's Warming Eve." Reminded Snowdrop in a chiming tone as she creaked a smile with glee.

"Oh yea, and y'know what the best part is?" Asked Sharp as Snowdrop gave a confusing 'hmm'. "It will be our first Snow Fall and Hearth's Warming Eve, together."

"Yeaa....." Snowdrop gave a small soft yawn as she slowly drifted into a deep slumber. As for Sharp, he started to slowly close his eyes as he felt a slight chill. He sprung up to find that his door to his balcony was open

Was that open before? He walked outside to his balcony to find out it was night, he could see Luna's moon as well as it's shadow. The shadow looked like a pony's head as he squinted his eyes to find multiple stars twinkle. They all twinkled in a sort of rhythm, Sharp became confused as he levitated a piece of paper and pencil towards him as he sat on his haunches as he study the stars. I think I remember Celestia saying that Snowdrop could hear the stars. I wonder if-. Sharp close his eyes as he emptied out all of his thoughts. He focused them all to his ears as he concentrated.

Sharp could hear something come from the stars. It was the twinkles but as if it was, A message? Maybe, if I-

tow top

Sharp could hear the same thing, but enhancing. He focused his ears again as he awaited the same message to appear.

Sharp, please take care of her. For my sake.

Sharp Spell opened his eyes as he jumped back with cold sweat and a weak air supply. He looked up at the moon as the stars he heard disappeared from the night. He heard a voice coming from the stars, the voice, he had only heard it once during his lifetime. When somepony tried to raise a small revolution against a sibling, when she thought of jealousy coming from her little ponies.

"P-P-Princess...Luna!?" Sharp whispered in surprising shock as he gulped down a pill of fear as he looked at the moon. "P-Princess, y-you have my word. I will protect Snowdrop with my life." Vowed Sharp as he trotted back to his bed, squeezed himself next to the sleeping icy blue mare, and drifted off to sleep.

Chapter 6
Falling in Love

Sharp's eyes slowly creaked open as the birds chirped and the sun beamed as he rose up and gave a bear yawn. He looked over to Snowdrop who was still sleeping peacefully, Sharp chuckled as he slowly crawled out of his bed and entered the bathroom. He tapped the cloud as a rain of scalding water showered Sharp as he endured the small stinging of water bees as he finished cleaning up and exited the shower. He dried off his mane as he entered his room still finding Snowdrop asleep. "She's so cute when she's sleeping." Sharp muttered to himself as he entered his balcony, he looked at the sky. He gave a flat but concerned look as he squinted deeper to look for a white pale orb, unfortunately it wasn't there, yet.

But on the moon, a single mare, wept a single tear.

"Why me princess?" He asked in a flat tone as a long of soft yawn came from his bedroom. He trotted inside to find Snowdrop awake. "Goodmorning Snowdrop."

"Good morning Sharp." She said in a soft tone as she flew off his bed. She flew over to him as she gave a gentle hug as Sharp returned the gesture. "Well, we need to get going, the Snow Fall starts in an hour and we gotta hurry." Snowdrop informed as Sharp nodded quickly opened the door with his magic. Snowdrop ran out first as Sharp followed, he close the door with his magic and soon the couple ran with most haste. They ran outside as Sharp stopped leaving Snowdrop confused. "Huh? Why did you stop?"

"I know something that will make me faster." Sharp proclaimed as he lit up his horn. His hooves started to gleam like the sun as he ran in place for a few seconds and rubbed his hoofs against the ground. "Alright, now I can keep up." Sharp said as Snowdrop flew towards the factory with much haste, as Sharp galloped like lightning as they both reached the snowflake room in a few minutes. Both panted heavily as Sharp noticed that the modeling station was completely empty. "Hey uh Snowdrop, where is everypony?"

"Oh no, I forgot that they were at the Field Edge Park!" screamed Snowdrop in worry.

"Field Edge Park?"

"It's a park where the end of Cloudsdale is, many pegasi use it to fly off of Cloudsdale." Snowdrop informed as they both raced towards the park.

Celestia stood as thousands of pegasi started to argue and rebel as the annual Snowfall didn't start. A nearby pegasi worker flew next to Celestia as he whispered in her ear. "Your highness, where is Snowdrop? She's suppose to start the snow fall."

"I do not know, I hope she's alright."

The pegasi worker then saw something shine over in the distance. "What was that?" He squinted his eyes as he could see Snowdrop and a unicorn stallion both racing towards the park. They bull charged through the crowd as the stallion jumped up and landed on the clouds as Snowdrop flew up high with a hoof in the air. All of the pegasi workers looked at their boss as she chopped down her hoof signaling all of the pegasi to fly to the sky.

"Let's go, Let's go, get those clouds and shake then down!" Snowdrop commanded as all of the pegasi workers grabbed a icy white cloud as they flew everywhere around the harmonic land. Snowflakes began to fall as different designs of icy fell. Sharp looked down as he could see the many creations everypony had made. One was in a shape of a triangle, a diamond, even a circular snowflake, all different, all beautiful.

"Wow, he said to himself, this was so learning the 'Hoof Pace' spell." He said to himself as Snowdrop stood next to him.

"It's beautiful isn't it?"

"The flakes, or the ponies down there?" He asked with a smirk as Snowdrop giggled and grabbed his hoof. Sharp became confused as she flew at the edge of the park, Sharp panicked as he started to float in mid air. "Woh woh woh woh woh woh, Snowdrop what are you doing?" He asked in fear as Snowdrop released her hoof letting Sharp fall at the ground of Equestria.

"OH CELESTIA!!!!" He screamed in pain as Snowdrop appeared next to him in midair. He gave her a confused and scared look as she glided next to him and pressed her lips on his. Sharp placed his hooves on Snowdrop's head as he pulled her in for a more passionate kiss. The couple continued to fall as they caught up with the snowflakes, Snowdrop quickly wrapped her hooves under Sharp's armpits as she carried him, they slowly descended with the snowflakes as they admired each and everyone of them up close. "Now this is what I call a 'Wow'." He chuckled as Snowdrop giggled giving him a quick peck on the top of his head.

"I love you Sharp."

"I love you two Snowdrop."

The two reached the ground, well Sharp touched the ground while Snowdrop remained in the sky. Sharp gave a raised eyebrow at the icy blue mare. He connection the dots as he chuckled at the icy pegasus. "Snowdrop, are you afraid of the ground?" He asked with a smirk as Snowdrop started to blush in embarrassment.

"Um...I...yes...I am." She confessed as her hoof was grabbed by Sharp's. He slowly pulled her down as the tip of her hoof touched the cold hard earth. She flinched her hoof up in panic but slowly placed her whole hoof on the ground. Then came all four, then she walked around with a nervous look. "Wow, this is very, hard... like a rock." She stated as she started to gallop around with a beaming smile. She ran towards Sharp as she pounced him, causing them to tumble onto the grass. Snowdrop gasped as she started to pet the grass. "It's so soft! Like a cloud or a carpet!" She beamed as she rolled herself on the grass laughing with glee as Sharp chuckled at her childish play.

"Yep, that's nature for ya." Sharp slowly descended as he lied down on his back against the grass. Snowdrop soon joined him as she cuddled next to him as Sharp took a deep breath, and soon exhaled. "Ahhh fresh air." He moaned in a nature like pleasure. Snowdrop followed Sharp as she repeated his action, during her inhale a tiny bee landed on top of her nose, she looked over to the bee.

BZZZ

"AAAAAAAHHHH!!!!" Snowdrop leaped up and started to fly in circles Sharp gave a confused look at her. "Get it off! Get it off! Get it off! GET IT OFF!!!"

"It's already off!" Sharp exclaimed as he grabbed Snowdrop's tail with his magic. He pulled her down as she sat on the floor. "Man, that was way too over dramatic don't you think?"

"Well I've never been on the ground, plus I'm allergic to bee stings."

"Yea well, I think we should head back up. The princess is probably worried about me by now." Snowdrop nodded as she flew behind Sharp and carried him all the way up to the cloudy city in the sky. They both landed as they lied down next to each other on the cloudy grass. "Well, I've said this once and I'll say it again, I love you Snowdrop."

"And I love you too Sharp Spell." The two both kissed as a few snowflakes began to fall on top of them. They both stop to look up to find Surprise shaking a few snowflakes down on them. "Surprise, what are you doing?"

"Make you two fall in love." The white pegasus horribly punned as the couple rolled their eyes.

"Eh, it works I guess." Concluded Sharp as Snowdrop leaned towards him with another passionate kiss.

Chapter 7
Goodbye, For Now

Today was the day, the Annual Snowfall has ending and it was time for Celestia and Sharp to go back home. Sharp could feel his heart freezing and shattering that very day. He stood outside as him and Celestia started to walk back to their carriage. The sad thing is, Snowdrop was nowhere to be found. He let out a heavy sigh as he placed his bag in the back of the chariot and jumped on bored.

"Waaaaaiiiiiiittttt!!!" Yelled a pegasus mare as Sharp easily recognized this voice. He raised his head to find Snowdrop racing through the skies as she reached the chariot, she flew up to Sharp as she embraced him with sorrow and sadness. "P-Please, don't go!" She pleaded as she let out tears soak in Sharp's chest. Sharp returned the embrace a smirk cracked across his face. He faced towards Celestia with a question.

"Princess, can I have some time, please?

The sun goddess nodded at her pupil and smiled down on the two. "Of course." She allowed as Sharp hopped off the chariot and stood next to Snowdrop with a sad smile.

"Snowdrop, you know that I have to go. I have to go back to study my magic, and hopefully help the ponies down there like I did for you." He said as Snowdrop continued to sob.

"B-But I'm going to miss you, you'll be so far away."

"I know, but I wont in here." He said as he placed a hoof on Snowdrop's chest indicating her heart. "Don't worry, I'll be back."

"B-But I want to be with you, always." She sobbed as Sharp brushed his hoof against her mane.

"Well... come with me." He said as Snowdrop's eyes widened at the thought. Her depressed tears paused as she looked him in his one ruby colored eye. "To Canterlot, I'm sure Celestia can give you a room at the castle. Right?" He asked as he looked at the princess goddess who gave a nod. Snowdrop gave a long thought as she turned her head towards the rest of Cloudsdale. She had everything there, friends, happiness, and her mother, but it wouldn't be the same without Sharp, the unicorn she loved, she would feel frozen like ice.

"I-I don't know. I mean I-I have my friends here, the snowflake factory needs me, and my mother-"

"Is okay with your decision." Snowdrop looked behind her to find her mother and some of her friends, including Surprise all smiling at the two. "Go, go with the stallion you love dear, I will take over your snowflake making." Offered Primrose as Snowdrop rushed over and embraced her mother in thanks.

"Thank you mother, I will never forget you, and your kindness."

"Just make sure you're happy Snowdrop, maybe I'll come down and visit." Her mother said as the two giggled like sisters. Snowdrop and Sharp both hopped on the chariot as Celestia smiled down on the two. Primrose flew next to Celestia as she smiled upon her leader. "Thank you your highness."

"Anything for my subjects, even the special ones. I will protect her, you have my word." The white alicorn promised as a single tear flowed down Primrose's cheek. He faced towards the young couple with a smile. "C'mon you two, let's get going to Canterlot." She said as she signaled her guards who took to the skies as they pulled the marble colored chariot.

As a few minutes passed as the two soon reached the near ground, Sharp tapped a hoof on Snowdrop's shoulder as he pointed at the castle. "Look at that Snowdrop, there's the castle, the place I live at." He announced as Snowdrop couldn't help but admire and gaze at the massive structure against the mountain.

"Oh my gosh, the castle's so big!" She admired as Sharp rolled his eyes. Snowdrop quickly embraced her coltfriend as she gave a quick peck on his cheek. "I love you Sharp."

"And I love you Snowdrop."

Epilogue

Two pegasi were flying through the sky as they dragged a hot air balloon with four more mares inside the basket. The cyan pegasus with a rainbow mane couldn't help but splatter a paint of glee across her face. "Man, I can't wait for the Snowfall. Making those snowflakes, giving ponies below happiness! This is the one thing I love to do that's not flying or pranking." The cyan mare beamed as the yellow pegasus couldn't help but giggle.

"Oh yes, I also love snowflake making, it's one of the few things I'm not afraid to do."

"Well duh Fluttershy, I mean like ever since we found your chamber of yarn crafts, you've pretty much been the artist of our group." The cyan mare said in a obvious tone as the yellow mare blushed.

"Oh it's nothing Rainbow Dash, It's just another special talent I sorta have."

"Sorta!? You make an entire statue of ME made out of yarn, like I was a hero!" She said in a cocky tone as the yellow pegasus giggled.

"Welp we're here, Cloudsdale!" Rainbow Dash announced as she and Fluttershy landed on the fluffy marshmallow like surface. The four mares all hopped out of their basket as they soon joined the two pegasi. "Hey girls, ready for the event?"

"Yep." The orange mare agreed on.

"YES! I will make marvelous designs that would-" The white unicorn paused as she was being stared by every pegasi nearby causing her to blush in embarrassment. "-ahem, I mean I will make fabulous designs in these snowflakes."

"Celestia told me she loved making these things, even with one of her other students, Sharp Spell I think was his name." The lavender unicorn informed as the rest of the mares looked at her in confusion.

"Sharp Spell? Other students?"

"Well, let me explain. Princess Celestia told me that she had students over the thousand years that she ruled, Sharp Spell was her first as they both went here for the Snowfall, making snowflakes apparently." She informed as all of the other mares 'ooohhh'-ed in unison. They walked down the puffy roads as they walked up the stairs towards the weather factory passing a nearby statue. The orange mare stopped and walked towards the statue as her friends soon followed.

"Hey Rainbow, who's dis?" She asked as the group of mares gazed upon the statue.

"Oh that? That's Snowdrop, she's the creator of these snowflakes, and the cool thing was. She was blind!" The cyan mare announced as all of her friends except Fluttershy all gasped in shock. "I know, I didn't believe it either, but it was recorded her being blind." She said as they walked passed the statue and walked inside the factory as she continued to lecture about the statue mare. "And apparently her unicorn coltfriend sacrificed one of his eyes giving her normal vision, isn't that awesome!?" She said the lavender unicorn beamed in amazement at the magical mirical.

"That's amazing. Y'know it's funny," Twilight giggled as her friends looked at her in confusion. "Princess Celestia, she told me that Sharp Spell was my ancestor, saying he turned a challenged mare into a normal one, but she never told me who." She said with a shrug as her other friends shrugged as well.

"Well who know's it could've been anypony back then." The cyan mare stated as they arrived at the snowflake station. They were soon greeted as a yellow pegasus with a magenta pink mane walked towards them, dragging a rack full of uniforms behind here. She looked at the minorly timid yellow pegasus as she beamed as embraced her.

"Fluttershy!" She screamed as the mare squeezed the living suns out of her.

"Mother please! Can't...breath..."

"Um Miss Orchid? I think you're killing your own daughter." Informed Rainbow as the motherly mare saw her and soon dragged her in into her death hug.

"Rainbow Dash, I can't believe you're both here! It's been years!!!" She squealed as the other mares giggled at their embarrassment. Both pegasi soon forcibly broke the hug as Fluttershy gave a hard sigh as looked at her friends.

"Girls, I like you to meet my mother. Orchid." She said as her friends bowed in greet.

"All right girls, let's get going, the princess is waiting for you six!" She said as she guided the six mares into another room, all wearing identical uniforms, goggles, hates, and gloves. They all soon reached the sun goddess as she was concentrated, making her snowflakes for her little ponies. "Princess, they are here."

"Ahh, my little ponies." Celestia cheered with glee as she set her tools down. "It's so good to see you all, come and let me show you my snowflakes. She said as she showed the group of mares her many snowflake designs. "Well, I must keep this up, the Snowfall is in a few days." The Princess said as she retrieved her tools and continued to process her ice designs. Orchid instructed the group of non pegasi ponies the basics of snowflake making, after her tutorial of ice art, she trotted to a nearby station and started to make her snowflakes. Twilight stopped on her snowflake as she looked around the facility.

Where's Princess Luna?

I don't know, let's ask Celestia. The lavender unicorn mare trotted towards her teacher as she greeted with a bow. "Hello Princess, don't mind me asking but, where is Princess Luna?" She asked as Celestia pressed her feather down on the ice that it shattered her snowflake.

"She....she won't be joining the Snowfall Twilight. This event makes her sad." She said in a sad tone as Twilight raised an eyebrow in confusion.

"Sad? It's an event that spreads joy and happiness across Equestria."

"Yes I know Twilight, it's just, 1000 years ago both Luna and I met Snowdrop. She truly understood Luna's night, the stars that she could hear, and make."

"Yes I read about her hearing the stars, but why is Luna sad over her?"

"Because she was Luna's only friend before she was banished." Celestia said in a low tone as Twilight placed a hoof over her mouth in shock. "Twilight, this was a thousand years ago, ponies like her cannot live forever. So she died, while Luna was still on the moon."

"That's....that's... I can't even explain how sad I feel for her your highness."

"Yes, it will take her a long time to recover, I just hope she could learn to move on. Like I did with Sharp."

"I'm sure my ancestor kept Snowdrop happy your highness." Twilight said with a warm smile as Celestia smiled back.

"He did, he did. Now you should go back to your station Twilight, the Snowfall is only in a couple of days." She informed as the unicorn saluted and trotted back to her station. Orchid soon trotted next to the sun goddess as she smiled towards her daughter Fluttershy.

"Gee Princess, to think that my ancestor started this all."

"Yes, your ancestor was an amazing pony."

"That she was, that she was..."
