Ace gets sent to equestria after he dies at Navy H.Q.
This takes place after the War of the best at Marine H.Q. after Ace dies at the hands of Admiral Akainu. Rather than being sent to the afterlife he is sent to equestria. Takes place during the crystal empire, and instead of the crystal heart killing Sombra ace is going to fight him, contains one piece elements and humor.
(note: those who watch one piece will know this whole situation)
The second division commander of the White-beard pirates Portgaz D. Ace along with his younger brother, the captain of the Straw-hat pirates Monkey D. Luffy were running away from an onslaught of bullets and several other projectiles (that I cannot name) that were being fired from the navy. Ace had been captured and scheduled for execution, until all of his crew and hundreds allies came to rescue him. Being a member of a pirate crew who would bring the wrath of a thousand thunder storms would do that. They would've almost escaped if Ace didn't hear one of the navy admirals try to anger him by yelling...
"White-beard is jut a loser from the old times!" exclaimed Admiral Akainu. "Take back what you said about pops! He is not a loser!" yelled Ace angrily with flames rising from his arms. Ace just couldn't take that someone had insulted his foster parent. "While it may not be in my place to say it as a navy admiral; Gold Roger conquered the grand line and was true to his title as pirate king. And what has White-beard done?! Nothing!" yelled Akainu with magma coming of his arm. "Gold Roger: the pirate king. Monkey D. Dragon: the revolutionary leader. I will end both their bloodlines!" Akainu yelled with determination.
"Watch what I do." said Akainu with lava starting to boil from his arm. He then jumped straight for Luffy with the intention of killing him in one blow. Luffy was unaware of the attack mainly because he was reaching for Ace's vivre card. Before Luffy got his brother's vivre card, and was hit by the on coming attack Ace got in the way and took the blow for him. Luffy watched in shock as the magma fist went straight through his brother.
Ace stood there for a moment when Akainu pulled his fist out; lava still glowing on it. Ace then fell on his knees with a gaping whole in his chest, and coughed up some blood. Luffy had gotten a hold of him before he completely collapsed. He was watching with tears in his eyes as the vivre card was slowly burning away, meaning his life was almost over.
"Ace!!" shouted several of his crew-mates. Seeing that their fellow crew mate has been taken down; they fired everything they had at the the navy admiral, but to no avail their shots just went through him, seen as he was made of lava.
"So your still alive?"said Akainu,his arm turned into lava once again to deliver the killing blow when his attack was block by the fish-man and former warlord of the sea Jimbei.
" You're just delaying the inevitable, Jimbei! Since you were once a warlord, i bet you know what i'm capable of!" yelled the impatient admiral.
"I'd be happy to risk my life if I can delay it! I've been ready to die from the beginning!" yelled the fish-man determined to save his friend
"Looks like i need to execute a traitor too!" said Akainu lava at the ready
He was about to attack when heard "Jimbei, get down!". the fish-man ducked when two other commanders of the White-beards charged the admiral. Said commanders were the 1st division commander Marco the phoenix and the 5th division commander Vista the flower swordsman. Marco had used his wings and talons to cut him, while Vista used his 2 swords. When they had both landed, Marco's wings and talons made of blue fire turned back into his arms and legs; while Vista kept his swords at ready.
"How annoying!" said Akainu when his body turned from lava back to his normal look.
"So you guys are haki users?" asked Akainu.
"How could we have let this happen?!" asked Marco with disbelief.
"I couldn't have more regret about it!" said Vista.
"Can't you see that it's to late to save 'Fire Fist'?! Take a look!" said Akainu.
The two commanders looked too see Luffy holding on to Ace with the look of pure shock that his brother had been defeated. "Ace...Hey, are you alright? Hey." asked Luffy with disbelief in his voice. He looked to see that his brother's blood was on his hand. "Ace, you need to be treated right away!" said Luffy thinking he could find a thin ray of hope to save his brother.
"I'm sorry Luffy..." said Ace in a hoarse voice. "huh?" asked Luffy. "You pushed yourself that far in order to save me but...I couldn't make it all the way.... I'm sorry." Ace said his, voice still hoarse. "Wh-What are you saying? Don't be ridiculous!" yelled Luffy with disbelief.
He started yelling out for someone to help Ace. He started to feel relieved at the thought of his brother being okay, until the the doctor of the White-beards said that his wound could not be treated. Upon hearing this he pleaded with them to try and help. "It's no use... My organs have been burned... I can't hold out any longer." Ace said, his voice still hoarse.
"I can tell my life is ending."Ace said. "That's not true." Luffy almost yelled. He then thought of his friend that helped him rescue Ace, he pleaded with him to help his brother. The one who helped Luffy said that Ace won't be making it. Needless to say he was distraught at hearing the bad news.
"Huh? No way... You promised me! You said ...that you'd never die...no matter what! Ace!!!" shouted Luffy.
"Ace... What did you say? You can't hold out any longer? You promised me... that you'd never die... no matter what! Ace!!" repeated Luffy, almost sobbing. One question ran through Ace's mind 'Do even I deserve to have been born?'. 'No one wanted me to be born.' thought Ace. 'I wouldn't even have a will to live...'
was the last thought Ace had before he spoke. "...if it weren't for Sabo and a high maintenance brother like you... Oh yeah, if you see Dadan someday say hello for me. When facing my own death i even miss an old bat like her." said Ace, seeing his time was almost up. " like I said, don't say that you're gonna die!" said Luffy unwilling to accept his brother's death.
"There is one thing that makes me wanna stay. That is my desire to see you fulfill your dream." said Ace trying to cheer up his distraught little brother. " But i'm sure you can do it. Because your my brother!" said Ace, certain his brother can fulfill his dream.
"like we promised on that day I have no regret... in my life." said Ace .
"That's a lie! don't tell a lie!" yelled Luffy with tears coming out of his eyes.
"I'm not lying. Something tells me that what I truly wanted was not fame. 'Did I deserve to be born?', what I wanted was an answer to that question." said Ace, in a hoarse voice. After several flashbacks that Ace had, from joining the White-beards; to his friends trying to stop the execution, he had one last thing he needed to say; and he needed Luffy to help.
"I can't raise my voice to let everybody hear me anymore. Could you tell them... what i'm about to say now?" asked Ace, almost sobbing.
"Pops! Everybody! And you, Luffy. Thank you... for loving someone like me who is good for nothing... and who has such bad blood in his veins... up to today... Thank you!" sobbed Ace, knowing these would be his last words.
He closed his eyes, had a smile on his face, then collapsed on the floor of the battle field. All of his friends that helped him, and 2 of the navy, being his grandpa; vice admiral Garp, and fleet admiral Sengoku saw this. One of Ace's beads rolled to his captain, White-beard reached down to pick it up, with a few tears in his eyes. And with that his vivre card burned up completely; leaving no trace of it, meaning Ace had truly died.
"Ace... Ace... ACE!!!" cried Luffy. At that point, he'd completely broke down and started crying.
But when a vivre card burns up, it ends up somewhere else.
Celestia sat in her regal throne doing her normal jobs as princess. That was until one of her guards burst through the doors. "News from northern Equestria, uh your highness." said the guard as he did a slight bow. "Yes?" asked Celestia, wondering what the guard had to say.
"I am simply to tell you that... it has returned." said the guard his voice was uneasy. Celestia instantly knew what the guard was talking about. "Huh!" she then turned to another guard, "Find princess Cadence and Shinning Armour." Celestia said with seriousness in her voice.
"Yes your highness!" responded the guard, they then ran to find the said ponies. the princess then began to write a letter to her student Twilight-Sparkle.
"My dearest Twilight, you must come to Canterlot at once!
Twilight was running up and down the library looking for several books and supplies that she would need for any possible test that the princess would give her. She had her friends standing by for the moral support. While Twilight was searching for her books, her friends were worried that she would freak out. There were books and supplies flying directly to Spike, who was holding out a bag for them to land in. Until Twilight dropped a very large book that almost killed the poor dragon.
"Flashcards! I need flashcards. Spike I'm gonna need you to quiz me. On everything I ever learned." said Twilight. Spike managed to get out from under the book, only to have his claws filled with flashcards. He was about to argue with Twilight about how this is just a test, until he noticed a flashcard different than the others. While the others were blue and firm; this one was white, flimsy, and it appeared to be moving.
"Hey Twilight, look. This card is different than the others. and its moving." said Spike trying to get his master's attention. At the last part her dragon said, she immediately became interested in what he was talking about. This did not go unnoticed by the rest of their friends.
"What are you talking about Spike, there is no way that a card can move on its own!" shouted the blue pony known as RainbowDash.
"Ya, just what in tarnation are ya'll talking 'bout?" asked ApppleJack, curious.
"Yes just what are you talking about 'Spiky-wiky'? It seems rather far fetched." asked Rarity, somewhat concerned for his well being.
"Oh oh! If the card is moving, maybe it'l lead us to a new friend, and we can trough them a party!" exclaimed an excited PinkiePie. Everyone rolled their eyes at her theory.
"Um, maybe we should leave it alone." said a nervous Fluttershy hiding behind her mane.
"I dunno Spike, are you sure you didn't just start seeing things? I don't that's possible." said Twilight, not believing her assistant.
"Come on!" whined the baby dragon "Just look." said Spike in an annoyed tone. He put the card down on the floor, they watched it for a few moments in anticipation, Twilight was getting irritated and was about to go back to her preparations, but before she had the chance to even do so; the card moved. All save for the baby dragon looked with wide eyes as it moved again. They turned to the direction that the paper was moving towards. It was in the direction of Canterlot.
with ace before the others got news of the crystal empire
Ace slowly opened his eyes when he was hit with sun light. He was currently in the outskirts of Canterlot, just below the mountain it resided on. He tried to remember how he had gotten there in the first place, he thought for a few minutes until he remembered. 'I died.' he tried to tried to put his hands to his head to try to find out how he is still alive. But he reached for his head a little to fast, and felt himself get hit by a blunt object.
"OW!" shouted Ace in slight pain. He looked down at his hand only to find a 'stump'. He then quickly inspected himself, only to find that he had a different body. He spotted a small river and bolted straight for it, tripping a couple of times. Ace looked at his reflection only to find a pony with a red-orange coat, a black mane and tail, freckles around his snout, orange eyes, and on his flank the jolly-roger of his first pirate crew 'The Spades pirates'. He also some how had on his trademark hat and beads, along with his pack that was in the form of a saddlebag.
When he saw that he his old crew's symbol, he checked to see if his old tattoos were still in the same place. Thankfully he still had the one on his arm to remind him of his his brother Sabo, and the one of the White-beards on his back.
"Oh good. I thought I didn't have those any more." sighed Ace in relief. He remembered something else that was extremely important to his survival. Ace looked around for a sharp enough rock to test his devil fruit powers. When he found one, he tried to ram it through his hoof. When Ace did that, the rock went straight through and burned slightly. He checked his hoof and smiled when he saw that there was a hole that was closing with his flames.
"Good to see that I still have my powers." Ace said to himself.He might be able to use all of his attacks, except the flame pistols; but he wasn't sure. He had decided to take a nap seeing there was nothing to do now. Not two seconds later he was woken up by "GGGrrrrroooooooowwwwwwlllll", he checked to see if there were any wild beasts looking for a meal. When he didn't find any he looked down to his stomach and started laughing.
"Hahahaha! Well looks like I need some food." he laughed to himself. He started looking around for anything that can be qualified as food. Ace looked up hoping to find some birds, instead he found the city of Canterlot resting on the side of the mountain. He thought that a city that big would have tons of food.
"Well it looks like they have restaurants up there." stated Ace. Before he made his way up the mountain, he thought there could be a possibility that someone might recognize his marks. He checked his pack to see if there was anything that could hide his tattoos and 'cutiemark'. Remarkably he found a cloak that was dark blue and had pattern of fire along the ends of the sleeves and the trim, similar to the one he had in Alabasta. He didn't put on the hood cause that would attract unwanted suspicion to him.
He started to walk up the mountain, and fell several times until he got the hang of walking on all fours. When he finally reached the city gates he had seen that there were guard-ponies posted, and inspecting the ponies that were coming in to the city. Since he had turned into a pony this didn't surprise him. 'Well that's just great.' thought Ace with sarcasm. He decided that he would have to sneak into the city to avoid the guards. And as luck would have it, a pony came by with a fairly large amount of luggage.
Ace saw this opportunity and took it without a moment's hesitation. He quickly made his way over the wall while the guards were distracted with the other pony's bags. As soon as he made his way over the wall, checking to make sure the guards behind didn't see him, and to make sure there were no other guards past the wall to worry about. When that was done he began to walk through the streets of the city, hoping nothing will draw attention to him. Until he bumped into a certain pony, similar to a Celestial Dragon.
"Watch where you step commoner! Do you have any idea who I AM!" shouted an angry Blueblood. Ace did not like his tone one bit, but decide not to cause trouble for himself.
"Huh? Oh, sorry I didn't see ya there." Ace said with a bored expression.
"You're lucky I have to treat this party to brunch. Otherwise I would've through'n you in the dungeon my self." said Blueblood as he walked away in a huff. When Ace bumped into him he managed to steal his wallet. He had worked on his pick-pocketing skills from his crew mates, and his little brother's thieving navigator. When the angry noble walked of to his party, Ace grinned to himself.
'How is he going to treat the party with no money' Ace thought to himself. After that little mess, Ace continued to search the city for a restaurant. While looking he noticed there are three different types of ponies walking in the streets, and some of them flying through the sky with wings. 'Well that's odd.' He thought to himself. Some had horns they used for magic to pick up stuff, and trivial things like that. While the rest didn't have horns or wings.
"Well that's interesting." Ace said to himself. Thinking nothing of it he kept searching until he found a place called 'Donut-Joe's donut shop'. 'Finally, a place to get some food.' thought Ace relieved he found a restaurant of sorts. When he entered the other ponies didn't pay much attention to him. Except 2 ponies out for lunch, who find something off about him. Said ponies were Cadence and Shinning Armour. He showed the pony his money that he stole, and asked for as much as it could get him. He almost cleaned out the shop's inventory with the amount of money he had.
P.O.V change: Cadence and Shinning Armour
"Honey, do find anything of off about that pony?" asked Cadence. Shinning looked towards Ace, and saw that he was eating more food than a starved Pinkie. He also noticed the clothes he was wearing, from his hat with the two badges and beads; to his cloak.
"Is it the clothes, the appetite, or the strange magic around him?" asked Shinning, not sure what his wife was referring to.
"I was gonna say 'the clothes'. I didn't notice the magic until you pointed it out." said Cadence, not sure about the pony sitting at the counter. They were going to leave so they can discuss it further, until Ace slumped over and collapsed into his food, his face down in his plate. They immediately went to see what was wrong with him. Several of the ponies there were shocked thinking somepony might have died.
They going to use a magical analysis to see what was wrong with him, until Shinning heard what sounded like a snore, but he wasn't sure until he heard it again. The snore was coming from the pony that they were concerned about. Shinning Armour was able to stifle a laugh when he realized what happened. He saw that Cadence was about to perform the analysis until Shinning held up a hoof to stop her.
"Cadence, I don't think that'll be necessary." said Shinning.
"What? Why not?"
"Just look." he said trying not to grin. He then tapped Ace's shoulder three times. All the other ponies were confused at this. '3,2,1.' Shinning counted inside his head. As if on cue Ace sat straight up, all the ponies present yelped in surprise, except for Shinning who was laughing a little.
normal P.O.V.
Ace looked from around a few times, confused as to why all the ponies were staring at him when he woke up from his little nap. He noticed that there were two ponies next to him, one looked surprised while the other looked somewhat amused. They were silent for a few moments until Cadence asked if he was okay. He grabbed a napkin to wipe his face from any and all food that stuck to him and continued eating.
"Sorry. I fell asleep." said Ace, as he continued to eat. All the ponies present save for Shinning had their jaws to the floor. When Shinning saw that he started laughing. Ace shrugged it off and continued to eat. Until three guards came through the door to the shop. Shinning Armour stopped laughing after that.
"Captain! the princess Celestia needs you Cadence back at the castle!" shouted one of the guards as they ran in. Ace looked a bit taken back.
"Captain?" asked Ace, some what confused.
"Oh my, we haven't introduced ourselves. I'm princess Cadence, and this is my husband; prince and captain of the royal guard Shinning Armour." said Cadence, gesturing to herself and Shinning. After hearing this, Ace had a bored expression on his face, and was slightly unimpressed.
"Your a guard and a prince? pft You need to make up your mind." said Ace, as he was finishing his meal. The other guards looked to be getting angry at the fact somepony dared to insult their captain. Shinning however grinned when he saw them glaring at Ace. He actually thought it was pretty funny when Ace didn't notice them as he began to leave.
"You know it's refreshing to see somepony not sucking up to the royals." Shinning whispered, so only Cadence could hear. It was her turn to laugh. She managed to hide it though as the guards began to get impatient.
"You're in no place to insult our captain." said the fist guard in a threatening tone, as he and the others blocked his path.
"Oh. And why is that?" asked Ace, with half-lid eyes.
The guards then pointed spears at him in an attempt to intimidate him...Jackasses... Knowing Ace he didn't even flinch. He just kept looking at them with with a bored expression on his face. The guards got even angrier when they realized he wasn't taking the seriously.
"If you're not gonna move... then you're in my way!" Ace said in a dark tone as his eyes shot open, his pupils became smaller, and sent out a wave of haki towards the guards; knocking them out.
Twilight and her friends had just arrived at the Canterlot train station. Spike had insisted on taking the card, hoping the princess would have an answer as to why it was moving. When they arrived Twilight told the others to wait at the station until she was finished with her test. While they were walking to the castle, they noticed a certain prince accusing several ponies of taking his wallet.
"I wonder what happened." muttered Spike, as they continued to walk. Twilight took another glance at the card in Spike's claw.
"Spike, are you sure the princess will know why that thing is moving? And are you sure there wasn't a bug underneath it? Or that somepony didn't put a string on it?" asked Twilight
"Positive, and if this thing is moving I'm sure the princess will have an answer for it." said the dragon.
"Ugh, fine. But make sure you ask the princess before I take my test!" Twilight said so her assistant understood not to interrupt her during the test. Spike nodded in order to comply with Twilight's demands. Their walk to the castle was relatively quiet, they did hear some gossip about a new pony knocked out a few of the guard without doing anything. Twilight wondered about this hoping that the royal guard didn't lose their image with the city.
"Hey Twilight, before you take the test, ya think we can go to Donut Joe's?" asked the hopeful and hungry dragon.
"Eh, why not? I am kinda hungry after the train ride." said Twilight. The two then made their way to Spike's favorite restaurant. They entered the shop they noticed that there weren't as much ponies in the shop and that Joe seemed to be a little disappointed with the amount of customers he had ever since the incident, after that he didn't have as many as he used to. But as he saw Twilight and Spike come through the door his spirit was lifted.
"Twilight sparkle, Spike! How are my two favorite customers?" greeted Joe as the two walked in, Twilight looked to a little nervous due to the fact that she had a surprise test. Spike on the other hand was happy that he was able to go to his favorite donut shop.
"Hey there Joe. Me and Twilight are great, well except that the princess is giving her a test." said Spike as they entered the shop.
"Really? Well I'm sure you'll do great. Now what can I get you two?" asked Joe.
"Two donuts please." said Spike as they sat down. After their little snack Twilight seemed to have calmed down a bit when they left the shop. That calmness was short lived when they finally made to the castle. Twilight looked like she was about to pass out from sheer nervousness. She them remembered some thing that Spike needed to do before the test. As they got to the door leading to where the princesses were, Twilight stopped and turned to her assistant.
"Spike, you go first since you wanted to ask about that stupid card." stated Twilight as they were in front of the doors.
"Alright I'll go first. And it is not stupid." said Spike as he entered the room with the two princesses. But when he came in the room he saw a strange pony standing next to the princesses. They didn't seem to notice him enter the room, except the new pony who shrugged at Spike's entrance. The three of them were looking up at the pictures on the windows.
"Um, excuse me princess?" said the purple dragon trying to get their attention. The princess turned to see Spike looking up at them. Celestia had a small smile when she saw him, while Luna kept her stern look and the other pony just had a bored expression on his face.
"Good day Spike. Where's Twilight?" asked the princess with sight confusion.
"Oh, the thing is I had question that I was positive you could answer.But Twilight said that she didn't want me to disrupt her test so she told me to go first." explained the baby dragon.
"Hm, fair enough. Now what was the question you wanted to ask me?" said the princess curious about what Spike had to say.
"Well, while Twilight was freaking out over the test, I found this weird card that moves." Spike said after he took out the card. The princesses had a confused expression on their faces, while the new pony grinned. The two princesses shared confused glances while the new pony looked with interest.
"Here let me show you." said Spike as he put the card down on the floor. And like the the princesses' mane it moved in a nonexistent breeze. The princesses were confused as to why it moved, but the new pony just grinned. Spike picked it up and held it in his claw.
"So what do you think it is princess?" Spike asked hoping that she would have an answer to his question.
"I'm sorry spike I honesty don't know why it is moving." apologized Celestia. Spike looked down at the floor with dis
"It's a vivre card." the new pony. The three of them turned to the new pony with confusion plastered on their faces. He took the vivre card from spikes claw and put it back on the ground. The card then moved towards the pony that had his ever present grin.
"And I'm pretty sure it's mine." Said the new pony. He then picked up the card and put it in his cloak. Spike was extremely confused as to why the vivre card belonged to this pony. He raised a scaly eyebrow at his statement. The new pony asked to be excused for a moment to talk to the dragon. He tried to tell a story that the dragon would believe but spike didn't by any of the lies he tried to tell the young dragon.
When that didn't work, the pony told him his name, witch was Ace (shocking isn't it) and how he got here. Ace explained how he died and the other world business but did not say he wasn't a pony, cause that would confuse him.After the story of the war and his friends from the White-beards to his little brother's crew, and how vivre cards worked, Spike had a few tears rolling out of his eyes from the really sad end.
"Now that you know everything you can't tell anyone, understand?" demanded Ace, not wanting his secret out. Spike wiped away the few tears he ad and nodded.
"You can count on me!"
Ace saw a few things that reminded him about Luffy when he was at his age that made tell the story.
with Ace before the others came to Canterlot for the test a few days before.
"If you're not going to move... then you're in my way!" Ace said in a dark tone as his eyes shot open, his pupils became smaller, and sent out a wave of haki towards the guards; knocking them out.
As soon as the first guard hit the ground everypony ran out of the donut shop as if their lives depended on it, while one of the other ponies present went to go call other guards. To say that Shinning and Cadence were surprised was an understatement. Seeing that three of the guards were knocked out, without even being touched had their eyes widened, and their jaws to the floor.
The pony that went for more guards came back with some more skilled and high ranking ones than the others on the floor. (For the higher ranks use your imagination. And for the lower ones they're privates.) There were five of them, three earth ponies and two pegasi. When Ace saw that the other guards were entering the donut shop he was certain that he would get into even more trouble.
As the guards came in they saw the other three on the floor passed with their eyes white and mouths open. Some of the guards present were either shocked or angry at the sight of their fellow guards on the floor. But they didn't care about that, they were more concerned about what would happen to themselves.They looked to Ace standing in front of the ones that were passed out.
"Are you the one who did this!" One of the reinforcements demanded. Ace just looked at the guard with an annoyed/bored expression on his face. And then replied in one simple word.
"Ya."
"Then you are going to come with us for assaulting the royal guard." another of the guards said.
Clearly these guards are angry that he didn't take them seriously. But then again why would he? There weren't any unicorn guards. Besides Shinning, and he was just standing aside seeing how this will play out.
Shinning didn't like this particular guard unit because they used their rank to get what they wanted from civilians. But when it came to other guards they kept their distance... mostly because they couldn't get anything from the other guards, and they would be ratted out. Unless one of them became a captain. But that was highly unlikely.
"No. I think I'll pass."
"If you don't then we will use force." each guard said as they pointed their weapons at the flame pony. Ace however just had a slight smirk and narrowed his eyes a bit.
"Go for it." Ace said as the temperature in the room began to rise. But before anypony could do anything, after regaining his composure Shinning spoke up and pointed at ace with a hoof.
"Before you do anything further, mind introducing your self?" Shinning asked with a small grin. Ace raised an eyebrow, slightly confused at what he said, as was every other pony in the room.
"What?"
"Well before you somehow put the others down for 'nap time', we" he gestured to himself and Cadence "told you our names and you didn't tell us yours." Shinning said trying to avoid conflict. Cadence was aware that Shinning didn't want to have a fight break out and went along with his little plan. "Shinning does have a point. And you don't want to be rude do you?" Cadence said trying to avoid a fight as well.
Ace realized what they were doing and just grinned. "Your right. I guess I did forget to introduce myself. My name is Portgaz D. Ace."
Shinning was about to get the situation under control, but when he remembered something about the first group of guards his plan was hold for a moment. It took him a few seconds until he knew exactly what it was. He looked at the second group of guards and then spoke to them.
"The first group was sent here to bring me and Cadence back to the castle. Do you by chance know why?" Shinning asked the guard group. They exchanged confused glances until their supposed leader of the group spoke up.
"Yes captain, all of the royal guard has been informed. But we didn't really understand what she meant when she announced it."
"Did she say anything that might help us understand why we need to go back?" asked Cadence.
"I think she said 'The Crystal Empire has returned'."
(back to where we left off, sorry for the wait, had to get a new computer)
"I think she said 'The Crystal Empire has returned'."
Both Cadence and Shining were wide-eyed with shock when the guard finished telling them. Cadence was told about the empire and that she was the crystal princess when she was a filly by a certain sun princess who needs no introduction. Shining also knew but he was informed after he and Cadence were married.
Ace however was rather curious about what the guard said, mainly because he knew nothing of the world he was in. Plus it wouldn't hurt to gather some information about Equestria and this 'CRYSTAL' empire. Being a former pirate and all he thought the Crystal empire would have some treasure lying around.
"What is the Crystal empire?" He asked with a raised eyebrow. The reaction he had expected was what he got: angry glares from the second group of guards, and ignored by Cadence and Shining because they were still shocked about what the leader said.
The leader of the 2nd group looked at Ace angrily. "Why would you need to know!?"He shouted at the (still unknown to them) flamepony . Ace however just smirked at outraged guard.
"Just curious. And a place called the Crystal empire doesn't sound so bad." Ace replied grinning, he could tell the guard didn't know he was talking about treasure because of the confused look he had. But the guard quickly shook it off and returned his attention to the still shocked royal couple. He got their attention by waving a hoof in front of their faces.
"We have time to be in shock later your Highness, princess Celestia wants you two back at the castle." He said with a stern face, 'After we get rid of this bastard.' he finished that last thought looking at Ace. Shining and Cadence were out of their shocked state and looked at the guard.
While this was going on Ace decided to forget about leaving for now and turned to the huge pile of food he still had and went back to eating. After all he has a bottomless pit for a stomach, and he lost interest in the conversation anyway. While he was eating a certain thought came to him.
'I wonder if this world or where ever I am has meat or sake.' He thought to himself. After all what is a pirate without meat. That and he was still human, well mentally at least.
Back to the conversation at hand. Shining thought about it for a few moments before he came up with his answer.
"Yes I think princess Celestia would like to give us more information on the matter. Should we get going Cadence?" said Shining. He looked towards Cadence for her answer and she nodded a yes. The distinct sound of eating broke them from the conversation. They turned to see Ace devouring his food mountain. This made the guards even angrier since he had audacity to ignore them.
"HEY WHO SAID YOU COULD IGNORE US!" The first guard yelled, somehow obtaining shark teeth.(note: yes ponies will have the various reactions like this one)
Ace looked back at the guard with a bored expression on his face still eating the various donuts and pastries. He stopped eating for a moment and swallowed his food. Then he told the enraged guard something that only angered him and his group further.
"Oi... you're to loud. Calm down would ya." The guards had enough of Ace while Shinning was trying hard not to show his amusement. For the guards this was the last straw. What happened next was not very surprising as they all charged at Ace seeing red from the anger.
But what followed not even fifteen seconds after they attacked Ace shocked Cadence and almost made shining armor burst out in laughter at the result. Can't really go into details because it happened to fast, but this is the end result. Two of the earth pony guards were covered in comically oversized bumps tossed to the other side of the donut shop. The leader was halfway inside of a trashcan face-first. And the pegasus guards were smashed halfway through the wall.
Ace was almost finished with his food when he remembered the other two ponies in the room. He looked to see Shining Armor holding back laughs and Cadence glaring at him for not taking Ace seriously. After a couple minutes Shining Armor regained his composure.
"Ahem, now that you're done making fools of my husband's guards would you tell us who you are?" Cadence asked regaining some control of the situation.
"Oh, my name's Portgas D. Ace." He replied with a grin. Now that Ace gave his name to the royal couple they asked him how he was able to knock out the guards without moving and the as they call it 'strange magic' that they sensed. Ace didn't take too long explaining since they were some of the smart ponies in equestria(not showing the explanation cause that will take too long). Ace had told them there was more too it but would not explain the rest.
Shining and Cadence had asked ace if he would come with them to see the princess in return for not saying anything about the incident with the guards and explaining the rest about his haki. He agreed as long as they don't freak out about the whole explanation. Shining Armor made a joke saying that was more his sister twilight.
