After the Canterlot Wedding Soarin', one of the famous Wonderbolts, starts to take a liking to the pony who saved his pie, Rainbow Dash. He and Dash have now been dating for 6 months. Soarin is ready to get serious in the relationship, but is dash?
It was a normal night in ponyville, everypony getting ready for bed and closing up shops for the night.

Rainbow Dash had been waiting all week for tonight, she had never been so excited in her entire life.
It was 9 o'clock at night when Rainbow Dash walked into the Carousel Boutique, Dash was nervous.
"We're closed for the night" Called out Rarity from behind her sewing machine.
"Sorry to bother ya' Rarity but uh- I kind of need your help" Said Rainbow Dash gulping back her fear of Rarity making her look girly.
"Oh Rainbow Dash, I didn't know it was you! Of course darling, what seems to be the trouble?"
"I'm going on a date tonight, and I need to look-"
"OH DASHIE! Whose the lucky stallion? or is it a mare?"
"It's a stallion-"
"Ahh Dashie I'm so happy for you. I thought you went for mares, oh well I am going to make you look fabulous darling! We need to fix your mane, put on some make-up, maybe a dress-"
"WOAH WOAH woah, who said anything about dressing up? I just need your help with my mane and maybe a sleek outfit."
Rarity sighed, pushing back her long purple hair "At least tell me who he is."
"Remember Soarin from the Canterlot Wedding? From the Wonderbolts, well he ask me out after the wedding and I said yes. We've been dating for 6 months now. So he's taking me out tonight"
"You're dating a wonderbolt? Oh how exciting! Let me see, I believe I have this gorgeous black jumpsuit, if you'd like to wear that?"
"perfect, oh and Rarity. Thanks" she said as she tried to hide a smile.
"Anytime Dashie, where are you meeting him at anyway?"
"I'm meeting him at sugar cube corner" She said excitingly as Rarity started to brush her mane.
Soarin loved walking through ponyville, he's only been there twice in his life. He let out a large sigh. Tonight was the night. Soarin quickly made his way through the town straight to Sugar Cube Corner. He stepped inside for a quick glance and there stood a pink mare cleaning off a counter.
"Hi, welcome to sugar cube corner can i get'cha anything? Water, Soda, Pie, Fruit Pies those are my absolute favorite! We also have Strawberry Cake, Wedding Cakes, Chocolate Cakes, Carrot Cakes but I don't really care for carrot cake. Oooh we also have-"
"Thanks, but no thanks. I'm meeting somepony here for a date." Soarin said.
"Ooohhh whose the somepony, if ya don't mind me asking?" Pinkie Pie said excitingly.
"Uhm, her name is Rainbow Dash." Soarin said looking for Dash out through the window.
Pinkie's mouth dropped open " You're dating DASHIE?!?!"
"Dashie? He proclaimed confused.
"UH, YEAH! That is one of my bestest friends! And you're having your date here?!"
"Why yes we are actually" Soarin said with confidence.
"Give me a few minutes, I will get this place in a romantic setting for you two!" Pinkie said while rushing into the back room.
"You really don't need to do that!"
"To late!"
By the time Soarin could blink the place looked amazing. There was a table set up with a red silk cover to it, white candles, and Classical music playing. He looked into the doorway to the back room and there Pinkie was dressed up in a waiters suit.
"Welcome to Sugar Cube Corner of .... Love" She spoke in the worst french accent Soarin had ever heard. He tried very heard to keep back his laughter. Pinkie smiled and said "everything is on me tonight."
"Well thank you very much! This is so, so-" As he looked around the room in excitment. Pinkie heard the door open through the music.
Pinkie's eyes widen, and with a giant smile "Beautiful".
"Yeah my words exactly!"
"No no, look!" Pinkie pointed to the front door.
Soarin turned around to look, and there she was. Beautiful as Pinkie would put it. Rainbow Dash stood in the doorway of Sugar Cube Corner, and she looked stunning. She was wearing a jet black jumpsuit, it was so tight to her body it showed every amazing curve she had. Her hair was the same, but combed through, it shinned much more than it ever did before. Her face was to the floor, she was shy. When she finally looked up she batted her eyes, and her cheeks turned pink. Soarin was stunned, he was speachless.

Rainbow Dash looked around the room confused. "Who redecorated this place?"
Pinkie ran up to the mare "Ooooohhh it was me!"
"Wow pinkie the place looks great, very... err... romantic?"
"Thanks! It took me half a sec to do!"
Dash just chuckled at the pony, as she walked up to Soarin she became very nervous.
I wonder if I look okay.

And as Soarin walked up to her all he could think about was how amazing she looked.

Rainbow Dash was face to face with her coltfriend, and all she could do is smile. Soarin couldnt find the words to tell Dash how she looked. The two ponys took a seat at the only table around. Soarin could not stop staring at Dash, the way the candle light shined on her perfect blue face, the way the black jumpesuit made her hair look so vibrant, she glowed with beauty.
"Alright Soarin what gives? You've been staring at me for 5 minutes now without even one word." Dash said confused.
"I'm sorry Dash, you just look so amazing right now." Soarin said as he finally shook himself out of his thoughts.
"Oh stop it, you're the one that looks good tonight" Dash said blushing.
Soarin's cheeks turned bright red. He had to tell Dash, after 6 months of dating her just had to say it.
"Rainbow Dash?"
"Yes Soarin?"
"I love you"
Rainbow Dash's face turned bright red, she held Soarin's hoof.
"I love you too Soarin"
"And I love you more"
He leaned over the table, and kissed the mare gently. He'd never seen Rainbow Dash smile so big in her life. And he had never been happier.
The stallion reached under the table and pulled out a box. "I wanted to wait a little longer, but I don't want to wait any longer to start my life. Our life"
Rainbow Dash looked at him with shock, her gaw was dropped open.
oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh why me? why now? why am I not saying anything?! WHY CAN'T I TALK?!?!" What the hay is going on with me right now?
Dash stared at Soarin blankly, no movement, just stared. Her mouth still wide open. Soarin began to worry about his marefriend repeatively saying her name. "Dash? Rainbow? RAINBOW DANGER DASH?! HELLO? oh god are you okay? Dashie SAY SOMETHING!"
Dash's eyes started to role into the back of her head, she started to fall out of her seat as she whispered "Somethin-" Dash's body hit the floor, she couldn't hear anything anymore. She slowly black out.
Dash started to wake up, as she slowly opened her eyes she started to hear music. "Wha-? What's going on?" Rainbow Dash realized she was at the Gala where Soarin first asked her out. She couldn't stop smiling, yet out of no where she heard Spitfire say " Always hungry after a show, eh Soaring?" As she turned she saw the Stallion of her dreams standing there. "Heh yup" Just as he said that his pie fell out of his mouth, Dash flew as fast as she could to catch the pie, as Soarin was screaming "MY PIE-". Dash caught the pie and looked up to Soarin's eyes. His eyes were amazing. Soarin looked at her compationately. Dash became shy all over again, hoping Soarin wouldn't notice.
"You saved it, thanks" Soarin said to Dash calmly, he couldn't help but smile at her. "Hey no prob" Dash said shyly, something happened there she thought. Soarin started to walk away now, he did turn around to look at the pretty mare once more. She didn't notice though.
I kind of like him, he's cute in a dorky way
Spitfire started to talk to Rainbow, Dash was excited but honestly didn't pay attention, her mind was on Soarin, until she mentioned Soarin again. Dash looked over at Soarin Gobbling down his apple pie like a fool. Dash thought it was absolutley adorable the way he ate messy.
"Hey do you want to hangout with us?" Spitfire said to Dash.
Dash froze for a second
"Yeah sure why not?" she said all confident and cocky. As the wonderbolts started toward their VIP section Rainbow couldn't help but yell out "I'm hanging out with the wonderbolts AHH!" Rainbow walked in and it was instantly noisy. She could barley handle it. She walked up to Spitfire, she tried to talk to her over the noise yet Spitfire could not hear her and continued on with a conversation she was already having with another pony. Dash then saw Soarin talking to another pony, she decided to give him a try. Kind of hoping he wouldn't hear her, she tried talking to him. He didn't thank Celestia. She walked away disapointed, Soarin saw the pony that saved his pie and realized she was sad and walking away. Soarin was being forced to keep talking to people though, even though he desperately wanted to comfert her. Dash walked up to the roped that held back everyone else and sighed. "This isn't hanging out"
Rainbow Dash tried so hard to impress Soarin, but nothing did it. Soarin started taking pictures with mares who were fans, and Dash became extremely jealous. Dash brushed it off and tried to forget him.
If he doesn't notice me, why should I notice him? But he's so cute...Wait Dash what the hay are you saying?
Suddenly the Horse statue in the middle of the room started to fall. "here's my chance!" Dash bolted over and caught the statue. She looked over and Soarin and Spitfire were smiling at her. She finally did it, she impressed Soarin. Dash felt so confident she accidently started to wobble around and the statue hit a piller. Everything around them started to fall apart. Ponys everywhere started to run out of the building. Dash met up with her friends at Joe's donut shop where spike had been. All that was on her mind was Soarin and how handsome he was. All the ponies started to walk to their carrage to bring them home, Dash was about to climb in when Soarin dashed over to her really quick.
"Hey wait!" Soarin yelled before Rainbow got in. "Oh hey Soarin, what's up?" "I never caught your name" He said smiling. "Rainbow Danger Dash!" She proclaimed as she puffed up her chest with pride. "hah, I love that name. It suits you." He could not stop smiling at her. "Did you need anything Soarin?" "I was just wondering when I could see you again?"
Dash was speachless, all she could think about was that he wanted to see her again!
"You want to see me again?" Rainbow said stunded. "Well yeah I do actually, and I was wondering actually if you uhm.. *cough* ..would like to go on a date sometime?" "You want to date me after I just wrecked the Gala?" "You're kind of reckless, like me. I like that. A lot" "Sure I'd love to, When and Where?" "Tomorrow Night, how about at your cloud?" "In Cloudsdale?" "Yeah" "I'd love to" Dash wrote down her adress on his front left leg with a pen she found on the ground. She stepped into the carriage and saw all the girls giggling at her.
"Oh put a sock in it you guys!" "Oh common Dashie you know we're just teasing!" called out pinkie pie. "Oh whatever" Dash closed her eyes are realized she had been asked out by the Stallion of her dreams.
Dassshiiieeee "What?" Dasshhhiiiieeee "WHAT?!" Dasshiiieee WAKE UP!
"HUH, wha-... what's going on?" Dash asked waking up. Soarin stood next to her in a white room. "Where am I?" "You're at the hospital Dash, when you fell you hit your head really badly and started to bleed." "So thats why my head hurts, ouch" She started to scratch her head. "Don't touch it honey! The doctor said you'll be fine, you just need plenty of bed rest and to not fly for a few days." "Urgh kill me now" "..." "..." It was silent for a while now, Soarin sat there pondering the same question he's had on his mind since she fainted.
"Dashie?" "Yeah Soarin??" "Why did you faint?" "well uhm-" She was cut off by the doctor walking in. He flipped through his chart quickly and then turned to Soarin.
"Mr. Soarin?" "Yeah Doctor?" "Visiting hours are over. You can come back tomorrow" Soarin sat there, tears started to fill his eyes.
"oh okay doctor..." "I'll give you two a few more minutes, then you need to leave." "thank you."
Soarin turned around whiping a tear away, he looked at Rainbow Dash lying on a bed with her head bandaged up. "Dash?" She opened her eyes and looked to him crying.
"Soarin why are you crying?" "I don't want to leave you like this." "You can come back tomorrow, please don't cry." "But it's all my fault, if I just waited longer to propose this wouldn't have happened. I-" "Stop, I'm glad you did. I love you so much Soar, I really do." "...*sniffle* really?" The Mare gently kissed her coltfriend,"I love you Soarin". The Doctor stepped in the room, telling Soarin it was time to leave. Soarin stood up, and walked out. For the first time in Rainbow Dash's life she had never felt so alone. Dash started to tear up. She thought of every reason why she loved him: the way he protected her, wanting to be with her, the way he looked at her, how he wasn't afraid to cry infront of her, how brave he was, his smile, the way he held her at night, how he loved her flaws. The list went on and on, and Dash realized...
Rainbow Dash flew around her house franticly cleaning. "Oh god he's coming tonight! The house still looks bad! urgh, and so do I" She said as she looked into her mirror. "Okay Dash 5 more minutes cleaning, then down to the Carousel Boutique!
After her 5 minutes of cleaning, she looked around still disapointed.
screw it, this is as good as it gets. I better get down to Rarity's before he comes!
Dash flew as fast as she could into the Carousel Boutique window, only to hit a coat rack and tumble onto the ground.
"ouch" Dash said as she finally stopped rolling. "Oh my gosh Dashie are you alright?!" Rarity screamed out. "Nevermind about me, Rarity you have 10 minutes to make me look pretty. Can you do it?" "You underestimate me darling, of course I can!" Rarity said with a smirk on her face.
Dash was thankful, as Rarity begane combing through her mane. Please don't ask me what this is for, please don't. I don't want to spend another 30 minutes here listening to you tell me what to do and what not to do on this date...
"Dashie?" "Yes Rarity?" Oh god here it comes, Dash knew she was going to ask why she needed this late night pampering. "Why do you need me to do this so fast? What's the occasion?"
Dash had to think quickly, she knew Rarity didn't know about Soarin. She was to busy being angry and trying to get cake off her dress at the Gala to knotice I was asked on asked on a date.
"I lost my comb.." "And makeup?" "Yeah I must have been robbed?" "Hmmm okay.." Rarity knew she was lying but just brushed it asided to finish.
Dash looked great, her mane was combed through nicely. Rainbow's mane wasn't sticking up anymore, Rarity got it to fall on her face perfectly. She also gave her flash eye lashes to enhance her beautiful eyes. Dash wanted to get home quickly but didn't want to fly, or she'd ruin her hair.
TWILIGHT! she can zap me to my house! The pony dashed her way to Twilight Sparkles home and knocked on the door. Twilight opened the door and was surprised it was Rainbow Dash.
"Hey Rainbow, I left a window open you know" "Yes I know but I need you to zap me to my cloud quickly!" "Uhm, okay. Wow you look great! Why do you-" "Yeah yeah I look 'ravishing' as Rarity would put it, now I need you to zap me so my mane won't get ruined!" "Okay okay, but I want an explanation later!" Twilight focused on Rainbow Dash and as soon as Dash could blink she was home.
"Hello Rainbow Dash?" She heard a familiar voice out side her door.

Rainbow Dash opened the door only to see Soarin standing there with a bouquet of roses, Dash's face turned bright pink at the thought of him bringing her flowers.
"Here, I thought you'd like these..woah." "What?" "You look amazing" "Oh thanks, and thank you for the amazing roses!" "Yeah they match your eyes."
Rainbow Dash batted her eye lashes, and smiled.
"Oh well please come in!" "Oh Thanks Dash!" The two ponys sat down at a table where a nice apple pie was laying. Soarin started to chuckle at the pie.
"What's so funny Soarin?" "We met when you saved my pie, so you're giving me another one?" "Haha oh gosh I didn't even think of that! I just knew you liked pie from the Gala" "It's not the only thing I liked from the Gala you know."
Dash's face was blushing like crazy now, she tried hiding it with her hair in her face. At that moment Soarin took his hoof and moved the hair from covering her and brushed it back behind her ear.
"I think you look prettier when I can see your face" "You think I'm pretty?" "Have ever since the moment I saw you" "Well you're a pretty good looking pony yourself, you know."
Both of them chuckled a little, and went on eating their pie. An hour past and the two had been talking about they felt about eachother. When finally Soarin was done being shy about how he felt.
"Rainbow Dash I need to ask you something" "What Soarin, anything!" "Well I really like you, a lot" "I like you a lot too, that's not a question though." "I know, my question was will you be my marefriend?" "Yes dude yes!"
Dash had never been more happy, the stallion of her dreams was her coltfriend now! Dash got even more happier when her coltfriend started to lean in to her face. As Soarin leaned in to kiss Dash, Dash became extremely nervous. What if i'm not a good kisser? But it was to late, Soarin was kissing her gently now, Dash closed her and kissed back. Dash felt his hoof hold hers.
When Dash opened her eyes Soarin was holding her hoof but they weren't in her home, they were in the hospital.

"Hey, good morning darling how are you feeling?" "Oh Soarin come here!" "Okay?" Dash gave him the biggest hug, then kissed him passionately.
"Oh somebody missed me" "Of course I did!" as tears ran down from her eyes. "hah why?" "I just did, please don't leave me again!" "I won't sweetie, I get to take you home today. The doctor said I need watch you carefully to make sure the bleeding doesn't come back." "You mean you'll be staying with me in cloudsdale?" He nodded. Rainbow Dash Hugged him tightly, as soon as they unplugged her from all the machines they put rainbow dash on Soarin's back. Soarin thought she'd be heavier than what she weighed. Soarin took off in the sky to Rainbow's home. He brought her inside the house and layed her bed, and layed next to her.
"Soarin, I love you." "I love you too" Rainbow Dash fell asleep in his arms, which Soarin Dreamt for the last 6 months. "I just wish you'd give me a straight answer dashie."
