A mysterious pony has ended up in the life of Luna and Celestia who is he exactly?
As Luna was walking in the park she feels that something is wrong. Worried she goes to her sister and talk about it. Celestia tells her that nothing is wrong and she should just head to bed. Following her sisters words she goes to bed. waking up in the morning she finds that she finds someone that will change her life forever. She will never forget who this pony is and why he is there.
It was a cold and windy night just about every kind of night. Princess Luna was strolling around the park. She had just finished setting up the moon for the night. It was so radiant the way the moon shined and lit up Equestria. “Wow, the little alicorn thought. Its such a beautiful night, I really outdid myself.” She laughed as she walked alone. Then something caught her eye. This was very unusual since the entire town was asleep at this hour. She turned and looked around. The park was as empty as space around her. Puzzled she continued to stroll along. At that moment a laugh occurred, it sounded familiar… like she heard it before. “This is all nonsense, but still I better tell my sis about this.” She nodded as she spread her wings and flew to Celestia’s room.
“SIS!! Luna cried, are you there?” She waited as a white alicorn appeared in her presence. “What is it dear?” “I was walking in the woods and I heard this weird laugh and I felt like something was following me. It felt so strange and it felt so familiar.”
“WHAT!! Exclaimed Princess Celestia. Something felt familiar you say?” Celestia looked down scaring Luna. When did Celestia look down on something? When did she ever look so sad, almost angry? Before Luna could ask Celestia began to talk. “Don’t worry about it Luna this is just all nonsense you were just hearing things. Here, go to sleep and in the morning I will make your favorite breakfast after all an alicorn needs a healthy meal.” Luna smiled as she thought about her favorite meal. Pancake that was shaped like the stars and the moon mixed with maple syrup and strawberries. She smiled as she went up to her room dreaming about the day to come.
Luna woke up early eager to eat her fresh breakfast just begging for her. She walked past her sister’s room and found out that she woke up before her sister. “That’s odd, she said. Why is she still sleeping its almost 7 o clock?” She raised her hoof to knock but she was stopped short with a low voice talking behind the door. It was deep, almost soothing until she heard him yelling. Since Luna just loved to be curious she put her ear to the door. What she heard she would never want to hear again. “WHY DO YOU ANGER ME CELESTIA! AFTER ALL THIS TIME I HELP YOU AND WHAT DO U DO? NOTHING JUST NOTHING WHY DO U NEED MY HELP! The voice sighed and went on in a steady voice. I get the space you need to do your job and all I get is a job to look after you and your sister from our mother. Then I come over here to see how you are doing since it’s been so long and you just yell at me that I am not doing a good job.”
“Okay I know I should stop asking you for more space gal, chimed celestia. You just need to understand that you really scared Luna. Why are we still talking about space that was years ago, at least 10,000 years. Luna came to me last night saying that she was being watched.”
“Well I just can’t put it down. You always complain that the sun has no room to make the earth shine. Also there is no way I can stop Luna at doing her job. Look I know you’re afraid that Nightmare Moon will return one day but its ok, she will never come back no matter what you do or I do.”
“Fine Celestia said in a low tone. The faster you get out of here the more I can keep a close eye on Luna.”
“You don’t need to do that Celestia.”
“Why is that?
“Well for starters Luna is at your door.”
Shocked Celestia looked at the door. She used her magic and slowly opened the door to see a dark blue alicorn at the doorway. Luna stood still and looked around frantically. She finally looked at the mysterious male in the center of the room. To her surprise it was an alicorn! Jet black was the only color on him. Taller the her older sister and looked very intimidating. His cutie mark was a black hole, hard to see at first but then showed very lightly against his coat. She looked at her sister. “Sis who… who is this guy? Why is he here, why were you fighting? Why is he an alicorn?” Celestia sighed as she looked into the small alicorn. “His name is Galaxian or Gal for short. I’m sure you have met him before when you were very little. After all he is our older brother.”
Luna could only stare wide eyes. Her older brother? She never knew of another sibling other than Celestia. Her mother or her sister never talked about an older brother. “Now Luna said Celestia. I know you may be confused but all the answers will come soon.” “Well then get on with them. Who is he, and if he was our brother where was he the whole time?” Gal walked up to Luna. He stood very high above his little sister. Luna was in panic knowing that whoever he is he is very intimidating. In a booming voice Gal spoke. “Of course Luna you know me as Galaxian, but just call me Gal. Our mother wanted me to take care of you and luna also she wanted me to give you two a job. Since our ancesters helped create the Galaxy they needed someone to keep it steady. So they gave me the job of monitirng space and they gave me the name Galaxian. Since Mother wanted me to give you and Celestia jobs as I mentioned earlier. I gave Celestia the control of the sun and we discussed that since the moon was smaller and you were a young alicorn at that time we gave you the charge of the moon. You only saw me once so you would never remember that, even if it was an important memory.” Luna wasn’t sure if she wanted to be happy or not. Here was this guy telling her that he helps steady the galaxies and gave her and her sister a job of helping Equestria. Before Luna could say anything her sister chimed in. “Ok Luna, Gal has to go so say goodbye and I’ll make you your breakfast.”
“Wait I still have more to ask him said Luna.” At this time Gal looks up and moves toward a window. “Don’t worry Luna I’ll be back soon than you can ask me all of your questions.” At that he jumped out of the window and soared towards space. Celestia beckoned her sister out of the room. “After I raise the sun I will make your breakfast.” Luna looked up, nodded at her sister and walked to the door. She looked towards the window and walked out the door way.
Luna looked up into the starry sky. She was sad but she didn’t understand why. She thought back a week ago when she first saw Gal. “I still have more questions for him she thought. Why did he go out of his way to talk to my sister? I mean he does look after the galaxies.” Luna sighed as she slowly walked back into her room. At that instant she heard a laugh, now she knew who it was coming from…Galaxian. Frantically looking around she found nothing, nothing but a book lying on her bed. It was black and purple not a likely book you would see lying around. In fact why was it there in the first place? Luna didn’t read much and when she did it was only books about the moon. She levitated the book with her magic and threw it out the window. The book looked ominous and she didn’t feel like reading it. She laid on her bed and feel asleep.
The next morning she woke up with the sound of knocking on her door. She groggily got up and opened the door. The person that met her early in the morning was none other than Princess Celestia. “GOOD MORNING” she yelled. Almost scaring Luna she stared at her sister wide eyed. “Sis why are you so happy? I mean I know your happy a lot but not this abundantly happy.”
“Well the reason I am so happy is because not only I threw up the most magnificent sun I could and was successful, I found a gift for you. It was in the mail.” Luna took the package that Celestia nearly threw at her. Inside was a letter and a book, a purple and black book. Luna opened up the letter and what contained in it spooked Luna.
Dear Princess Luna, In the darkest of nights rose the evil being. The only problem was it wasn’t a dark night it was a beautiful night. Use the crystal and do it again, make night how it was again.

Your Number One Fan Luna didn’t know what this meant. The darkest of nights? Luna looked up and saw that her sister left, must have been trouble if she left that fast. She turned the letter over and found another sentence on the backside.
The crystal is in the basement. Luna remembered a basement in the castle but her sister never allowed her in there. Looking at the book she opened it up. Her heart was beating frantically; she didn’t know what was in it for her. Although there was nothing in the book, nothing but a ripped of picture of discord shaking hands with a big rip in the picture. “So the picture is ripped in half she thought. What could the rest of the picture be?” looking at the picture some more it looks like it would take about two more segments of the picture to fix it. Below the picture in green lettering there was a sentence that said GRAB THE CRYSTAL! Luna didn’t know why this sentence kept popping up but she was determined to find out. “The next stop is the basement. I will find out what this all means.
Luna waited for this night to come. The night where she will go into the basement and discover what lies in there for her too see. Of course this too meant the crystal; for she was transfixed by the comments she got from the mysterious letter. She looked outside no stars were out and the moon looked dimmer tonight. She frowned knowing that she could do a lot better. She opened her door slowly looking left and right she could see the guards pacing back and forth. Luna slowly walked out of her room hoping that the guards would never notice. Luna didn’t do this alone oh no. Maybe she didn’t get a real pony to help her but surprisingly the back of the picture showed a half drawn map of the basement. Not surprising since it was ripped apart. The little alicorn paced herself slowly at first there was a guard that noticed her but she hid herself in time. One time she stepped on a rubber duck. “Ughh she thought, my sisters toy. She calls me the young one.” Sighing Luna went on her way to the basement door. When she got there she opened the door. Of course the big ominous door had to wake the entire kingdom since it creaked so loudly. Luna rushed in not caring if anyone was following her or not. When she was sure nothing was behind her she found a pedestal in the middle of a dome. Inside was a note which read

“Evil, the princess thought? I know about the Elements of Harmony but how will they bring evil? Hmmm no matter I will reach the end of this basement.” The deteremend Princess started to remember the elements of harmony again. Kindness, laughter, generosity, honesty, loyalty and magic. She shuddered remembering the dreadful night she conjured after being Nightmare Moon. Thankful that the Elements of Harmony put a stop to that. She walked on when she came to a room that had one pony in it. Puzzled Luna walked up to a bright blue pony with a purple and blue mane. “Hi I’m Luna what’s your name?” she blue pony looked up. She had a sad look in her eyes. The pony looked down and Luna heard a growl. Looking at the pony she figured out that the poor pony was hungry. Looking in her bag where the book was she found the apple that she took from one of the passing guards. She gave the apple to the little pony. The pony smiled a big smile took the apple, ate it the left in a trail of white smoke. In that instant a door opened from within the wall. Being cautious Luna went through the hole in the wall and walked into another room.
As she entered the other room she saw a box, an odd looking box to be exact. Luna walked up to it. Luna got up close at out came a scary puppet that jumped out of the box. Luna jumped backwards and screamed. The puppet went back into the box and nothing else happened. Luna thought about it. Than thought of a plan, she walked up to the box and when the puppet sprained out she laughed and in a quick puff the box and the puppet vanished. Luna smiled she didn’t think it would end up working. Another door has appeared and she walked through it. There were a total of 4 more rooms, all dealing with the Elements of Harmony. Then she came to the final room which had a glowing black orb in the middle. The young alicorn walked up to it. Looking around she picked up her hoof. She didn’t know what but she wanted to touch it, she got closer to it then she blacked out. She got hit in the head with something hard. She woke up looking around frantically. She was chained to the wall she looked up and saw a white alicorn, she gasped and she didn’t believe what was going to happen next.
Luna couldn’t believe what was happening her sister was in front of her while she was in chains to a wall. The white alicorn looked at her little sister in shame, and then she laughed. “Hahahaha is this how my sister is ended? Left rotting in the jail cells of the dungeons? Poor poor Luna, I hope you can last down here ha-ha. Celestia laughed as she walked up the stairs out of sight. Luna sat there in awe she couldn’t believe it. Her sister left her and now she’s in the dungeon. The longer she sat there the longer she got sadder and sadder until she started to cry. It felt like hours until heard someone talk to her. She looked up and she met the similar but mysterious Gal. “Luna what’s the matter, why are you crying?”
“Oh gal, she said as she choked. My sister I think something is wrong with her. She locked me in the dungeon and left me here. When did she start doing this? When did she thought thinking evil? Gal sighed and looked at the little blue alicorn. “She has touched the dark crystal.”
“Dark Crystal?”
“Yes, it has been locked in the basement for the longest time. She was waiting for someone to open it so she can use it to get rid of you and rule Equestria by herself. That way she would gain more love from the people and they would love her and not you.” Luna thought about the orb she was looking at before. Now that she opened the doors she realized that it was her fault her sister was like this. She shouldn’t have been curious. She looked at Gal “So can you help me get out of here?” He nodded and he summoned his magic. The door to Luna’s cell opened and she sprung out of there so happily. Gal told her to walk with him and she will help her escape and stop Celestia’s evil scheme. Well get the evil spell off of her from the Dark Crystal. Gal told her that the orb was there since the time of their parents rule. The crystal was made by an evil sorcerer that was jealous over their rule. Before he could activate it though he needed someone who was evil. He tried and tried to look for someone to help him but no one could. The king and queen found out of his scheme and banished him to the darkness all around him. The king and queen locked it up in the castles basement hoping that no one would touch it again. For the next person to touch it the person would turn evil and want everything for themselves. “Celestia must have accidently touched it when she tried to move it.” He said as they reached an ominous room. Luna looked at the center of the room and found the mysterious black crystal. “What are we doing back in this room Gal?”
“Well for the curse to be broken a close sibling to the user has to touch the crystal and try to fight the darkness.” “Why can’t you do it, you’re her brother she said.” “Yes I am her brother but we are not close, you’re the only one who can do this.” Luna looked at him then looked at the Dark Crystal. She wanted to touch it to save her sister but she didn’t know what would happen. She looked at Gal and he nodded at her. Even though she only knew him for a little bit she could trust him right now. After all he did save her from the cell. Luna walked up to the crystal; the hair from her coat was standing on end. She picked up her hoof and looked at the orb. She stood there double thinking what she was doing. After some time has passed she put her hoof closer to the orb. Closer, closer, closer, then she touched it. Dark electricity zapped her. Luna could feel something happening to her. She was getting larger, taller than her normal form. Gal watched smiling, he knew what would happen and he was happy to get his revenge. Dark smoke went everywhere, and then came an evil laugh. A laugh that would make ponies spines tingle. Luna looked at herself smiling. Then she yelled in the air. “NIGHTMARE MOON IS BACK!!”
Gal gave an evil laugh. “I knew I would see you again Nightmare Moon.” He bows to the evil princess. “I have no time for games she growls. I’ve been summoned again for revenge I will destroy those stupid ponies and then make night eternal!”
Gal looks up at her smiling he points to the door. “Get out of here then, your sister will be out there. Destroy her so we can rule all of eternal night.” Nightmare Moon summoned her magic and destroyed the door. After the door was nothing but debris she walked out smiling. Meanwhile Celestia was drinking some tea. She hadn’t heard from her sister for a long time. “I wonder what she up to she thought. Oh well she will come talk to me in a while.” She went to take another sip when all of a sudden the wall exploded. Out of the smoke came Nightmare Moon. “SISTER! I’ve come to rein eternal darkness”
“Again, ughh this is getting old.” Celestia got up and summoned some magic. “I don’t know how you got out Nightmare but I’ll stop you.” Celestia grew in energy; she closed her eyes and made a force field. Nightmare used her magic but it was useless it would just bounce off the bubble around Celestia. Celestia knew the one spell to stop Nightmare Moon again. To trap her back in the moon, for there was no way to destroy the form without the Elements of Harmony.
Celestia levitated from the ground her eyes grew dark and the room around them blew up from the powerful magic. The sky darkens and clouds come out of thin air. Lightning strikes in the background and Celestia’s horn glows green. Celestia fired the spell at Nightmare Moon. Gal then came out of nowhere and striked at Celestia. Celestia fell to the ground; she opened her eyes and saw Gal. “Why, why would you become a traitor.”
“I want to rule the galaxy, you and Luna share the earth with the moon and sun. I want to rule the earth so I needed to get rid of you. He turns at Nightmare moon, and you. He fires a black spell at her and it destroys her armor. She transforms back to Luna as Gal absorbed her dark magic. He grew taller and got black armor similar to Nightmare Moon’s. “NOW I SHALL RULE THE GALAXY! So long Luna,” He teleported and then he left leaving Luna and Celestia helpless.
