What if Pinkie didn't make it to the bathroom in time in Dodge Junction?

In the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic episode The Last Roundup, Pinkie had barely made it to the bathroom in Dodge Junction. But what if she didn't? How could one event completely change the outcome of the entire adventure?

This is a one-shot idea I had a while ago, and just not got around to posting. Rated Mature for descriptive urination.

Pinkie wets herself

The Ponies have just arrived at Dodge Junction and all disembarked the train, Pinkie speeding off.

"Ooh, pickles!" She exclaimed as she tried to find a restroom. it took her several minutes to find one and she immediately knocked while doing a potty dance. "Hurry up in there!"

There wasn't an immediate response. It took a few seconds, but the occupant replied, "Ah'll be a minute!"

Pinkie groaned at this. "I don't think I have a minute!" She exclaimed in panic. "It feels like I'm going to burst!"

The occupant huffed. "Well Ah'm busy mahself! So you'll either have to just hold it or go find somewhere else to go!"

Pinkie groaned more as the last vestiges of her will power started leaking away. Even now she could feel herself leaking. Crap, I'm leaking! If I don't find somewhere soon, I'll have an accident! I haven't had one of those since I was a little filly! I'll be the laughing stock of my friends!

Pinkie left the porta-potty and looked for somewhere else to go. But no matter where she looked, she couldn't find anywhere else. it didn't help that everywhere she looked, ponies were making use of water. Soon, she gave up searching and ran out for some outdoor privacy.

Before she could make it, though, she felt her will power give out and her bladder start to constrict as the urethral valves opened. Even though she knew it was wrong, she couldn't help the urine that flowed out, mostly clear with a touch of yellow. it sprayed behind her as she ran, leaving a trail. It felt like several hours to Pinkie, but was only about several seconds when she was done and the last drops of urine left her. Her face was deep maroon as she cried from embarrassment. As she made her way back, her mane and tail deflated from mortification and her coat turned a dull pink. What am I going to say to my friends? if they find out I had an accident, I'll be laughed at for sure!

"Pinkie Pie! Where are you?" Pinkie's ears perked up at that. Oh no! My friends! She looked behind her and saw the trail she made. If they follow that trail, they'll find me for sure.

As Pinkie wondered where to hide, Rainbow noticed the trail of liquid. "Guys, I found something!" The others Ran to Rainbow's side as she suddenly held her nose with a hoof. "That's definitely not water on the ground. Smells like pee."

"If that's true then it looks like somepony had an accident." Twilight said.

"If that's true, Twilight, then that pony could use some comfort." Everyone else agreed with Fluttershy's statement.

"Come on, if we follow the trail, we should find them." The others agreed and galloped along, their original mission forgotten. It didn't take them long to find the end of the trail, and sitting on the ground was Pinkie.

"Oh, Pinkie! You had the accident?" Twilight exclaimed. Pinkie turned, expecting to see the others struggling not to laugh, but instead found them sharing sympathetic looks.

"Twilight, Dashie, Fluttershy, Rarity? You're not laughing at me for this?" Pinkie asked, surprised. The others were shocked.

"Pinkie, dear, whyever would we laugh at you for this?" Rarity asked, concerned.

"Because I wet myself, that's why? When I was a little filly, ponies would laugh whenever I had accidents." Pinkie said, dejected.

"Pinkie, I thought you knew us better than that? We'd never laugh at something like this!" Rainbow exclaimed.

"Rainbow's right, Pinkie." Twilight said. "We're your friends. And friends don't laugh at each other's misfortunes. We've all had accidents before. Right girls?" The others nodded, even Rainbow Dash. "You see, Pinkie? it's perfectly normal. Now let's find someplace to get you cleaned up." Pinkie smiled and just like that, having her friends accept her even after her accident made her mane and tail poof back to normal and her coat regained its color. Twilight chose to speak up again. "After you're clean, you can write to Celestia about the lesson you learned." Pinkie smiled and giggled, hugging her friends.

Dear Princess Celestia,

After a harrowing day looking for a friend, I learned a valuable lesson in friendship. I thought my friends would laugh at me after my "accident", but boy was I glad to be wrong! They comforted me and dispelled any doubts I had about them being real friends. The lesson I learned is that real friends will always stick by you, no matter what.

Your faithful subject,
Pinkie Pie

Pinkie finished dictating the letter. "Go ahead and send it, Spike." She said. Spike rolled the letter up, applied a seal, and sent it on its way. he turned to Twilight. "So, what happened with Applejack?"
Twilight Smiled sadly. "She wanted to stay in Dodge Junction for a while. Said something about working off a debt. She'llcome home when she's able. It's too bad about the rodeo, though. She participated in so many events, but didn't win first place in any of them." Here Spike frowned. "So she's working at a cherry farm to earn enough money to fix Town Hall, since she promised Mayor Mare to use the prize money for it. I only hope she doesn't over work herself." She smiled at Spike and her friends. "She said she should have enough money by the end of the month."

It was shortly after that that a familiar shout got their attention. "Ah'm home, everypony!" The other five rushed out to see Applejack standing in front of the library.

"Applejack! You said you wouldn't be back until the end of the month!" Twilight exclaimed.

Applejack smiled. "That was before I got a letter from Ponyville explaining that Derpy would be paying for the damages as well. With Derpy paying half, I only needed half of what I originally thought, which I had already earned in runner-up prizes, so as soon as I received the letter, I left my place of employment and took the first train back. Boy, it's good to be home." She hugged her friends and all was well.
