Fourth story in the My Little Flame Pony series. Fireflight, main Element of Frost, has kept a diary ever since she transformed back into a Frost Pony. She also writes down about her crush, and best friend, Twilight.
You'll never guess what Thunderlane said to me today! You know what? Instead of guessing, I'll tell you. He told me that he loved my dress I picked out for our prom! Isn't that sweet?
I personally think he's cute. So is his brother, Rumble. Rumble is so sweet with his big eyes and pink cheeks.
My best friend, Twilight Sparkle, said that Thunderlane once stayed in the hospital on Tornado Day. Twilight's a real natural when it comes to history and science and math. I've seen her help Rumble and Scootaloo with their homework in the library. (Don't ask me how I've seen that, I have my ways.)
Scootaloo's one of my other best friends, too. I adore seeing her on her scooter, zipping through town with her great, messy mane.
I also have five other best friends. One of them is Fernflow. She's great at gardening and magic. The four other ones are Firefringe, Shadowflame, Scortchfire, and Flamecatcher. Another one is Fireflier, but she's just my sister. Even though we're both Elements of Frost.
Scootaloo and Rumble have serious crushes on each other. One time, at Sugarcube Corner, I saw Rumble offer Scootaloo a Cheeta-Chip. Scootaloo's cheeks turned red.
It can be bad when two friends like the same pony. I know I can't because I should be dating ponies my own age. Scootaloo said that Rumble should be dating ponies his age, like her. I must have smirked or something, because she looked at me annoyed.
Last night, Twilight snuck a book into my saddlebag. I found out right away who it was who gave it to me. I've known her ever since I met her when I blocked Shredder's Maze and requested a crystal.
I don't get how I was that mean. I mean, yeah, I was a Flame Pony before, but... It doesn't seem right that I was a bully. Sure, I was mad at something, but why would I have the right to bully ponies? It just wasn't right. I don't remember what I was mad at, but I know that it had something to do with wintertime.
Usually I look back to that time, two millenium ago, but seriously, bullying isn't... Right for someone like me. I think I've made my point.

June 3 Why, hi diary,
Tonight's the official prom. I'm planning to go out with Thunderlane, and wear my special golden dress with my blue necalices and headwear.
Rarity made them for me. She's an excellent dress designer. Sometimes I sit back and wonder how she can do all that work. I mean, my job is just helping winter come.
Some more news is that my sister and I are going on a trip... To FILLIDELPHIA. ACROSS EQUESTRIA.
I know that the train ride to it is really long, but we're not taking the train. We'll fly there. I've flown across Equestria a million times myself, but I've never stopped to check out Fillidelphia. We're going because my sister offered me a trip to see it for once.
And I saw the calender today. We're leaving tommorow.
One more day till we're on our way, Don't I see that it's away, away, away?

June 4 Hey Diary,
My sister and I are leaving in 3 hours. It seems too long. I want to leave now. I told Constellia. I thought she would say, ''You're so lucky!'' since I was her student. But instead, she said, ''Fillidelphia! Cool. Please do me a favor while you're there. Write an essay about your visit.''
A whole essay! Why?!
Well, I was sorta expecting her to say that. I mean, I'm her student right? Sort of. You see, I'm currently in her new school, P.F.P School. The P.F.P in it means Perfect Frost Pony... Fireflier goes to it too. We're both almost the same age.
Now I'm starting to worry. I mean, I'm just Constellia's student, right? But it's not like Constellia's just an ordinary Frost Pony. She's the ruler of the Frost Ponies. And I also need to do my homework, or else I get a bad grade.
P.F.P is like a regular school, with report cards and stuff. I'm gonna get a report card. I don't really have any parents or anything to give it to, though, 'cause me and Fireflier are orphans. It sucks. But P.F.P is a sleep-over school (But no fun, like pillow fights or anything) so we just sleep over there. And it pays, because we can have the teachers help us with homework.
And we can sleep over with the students. But we don't have to sleep there for the night. I rented a house in downtown Ponyville. And when I found out I was roomates with Thunderlane, I immediately fell in love with him. Twilight lives right next to us, so we can visit each other. Fireflier chose to stay in P.F.P for the nights, but I'd rather not stay in a small classroom, squished in with a bunch of other students.
Frost Ponies aren't the only type of pony in the school. There are crystal ponies, timber ponies, even golden ponies. About any type of pony you can name from mythology. See, if it was only Frost Ponies, then there would only be six ponies in the class.
And there's even a Flame Pony in the school. I told Constellia, and she said that he's pretty much the only good Flame Pony around here. I don't care what Sparking Fire says, but I know that there is only a few good ponies in the whole world. The Flame Pony at my school is named Fireball. I still hate him though. So does my sister. And even Twilight doesn't trust him.
Twilight's madly in love with a stallion named Crystal Clear. He's brown with red and black hair, and his Cutie Mark is a sparkling crystal. I am so not in love with him. I actually hate him, like I do Fireball. I think I only like his name, Crystal Clear, and his Cutie Mark. I just like his Cutie Mark because it completely matches his name.
And the prom, yesterday? Well, I'll just say a few words. Mine with Thunderlane got cancelled because Thunderlane got the Feather Flu. For real this time.
But I didn't really mind, because I got to do whatever I wanted to without worrying that Thunderlane would see me. And now we're taking off to Fillidelphia in TWO HOURS.
Well, we're taking off. Fireflier is yelling something, so I gotta go. K bye now!!!
June 5 Hey diary,
Well, we arrived here today. In Fillidelphia. I hope this trip doesn't suck. I mean, it could rain. Or it could be evacuated because of some other Flame Pony or something. Anyway, Constellia specifically said I still need to go to school so no class time will be missed. So I decided to go to the Fillidelphia school: The P.F.P.
Fillidelphia's P.F.P is not like ours. There's no Frost Ponies or anything at all. Just regular ponies, like pegasi, unicorns, and earth ponies. The reason why that is is because it doesn't stand for Perfect Frost Ponies, but it stands for Proud Fillidelphian Ponies.
Dang it. I hoped that Crystal Ponies and stuff would be there. When I walked into there, I felt like I had 50 wings and 7 horns. I mean, I'm a Frost Pony, but I'm no regular pony. I'm an Alicorn. And these were all regular Fillidelphian ponies, just staring at me as if I were a zombie or something. I was glad that Fireflier was there too, so I wouldn't be the only weird pony in the class.
And then I figured out why they were staring at me. It was my Cutie Mark. It was very unusual, in fact, because it ran all the way down my leg... And it was glowing. I was really worried that it could harm me and the class if it did something.
But one of my talents is friendship, if you didn't know. Every time I go someplace where I don't know at least three ponies, my Cutie Mark glows and asks me to make some friends. The whole class was staring at me. I started sweating.
''D-Don't worry, everyone, it's just... Normal,'' I said. ''It's normal.''
''Well, class, this is Fireflight,'' Flashwhirl, the teacher, told the class. ''And this is Fireflier.'' My sister and I waved to the class.
''Hey, I know you!'' said a familiar voice. Uh oh.
''Surprise?'' I asked. Surprise was a pure white pegasus with yellow puffy hair, as puffy as Pinkie Pie's. She made enough trouble, but she's IN THE CLASS I'M GOING TO?
''Yes!'' Surprise exclaimed.
''What a... SURPRISE that you're in my class for a couple weeks,'' I replied. ''I don't remember you living here in Fillidelphia.''
''We'll get back to that later,'' Flashwhirl said. ''Today we'll be studying Frost Ponies. Any pony know anything about them? Fireflight?''
''Well... I, uh, know that I am one,'' I answered. ''And so's Fireflier.''
''And what do you know about yourselves?''
''We were Flame... Ponies before,'' I said. ''And Constellia used to be a Flame Pony, too, named Shredder Boom. But now she's ruler of the Frost Ponies.''
''And I heard you, your sister here, Fireflier, and your friends are called the Elements of Frost,'' Flashwhirl said. ''Is this true?''
''Yup,'' I replied. ''It's where we got our Cutie Marks from.''
''I see,'' said Flashwhirl. ''When did you last weild them?''
''A couple days ago,'' I said. ''It was our first time.''
''What is this, an interview?'' somepony asked. ''Get on with the lesson already!''
''Now, Tweakleaf,'' Flashwhirl warned. ''These are our new students, and they go perfectly with the subject we're discussing today. Now, I'll be passing out textbooks by Roserobin, a pony from long ago, so we can learn about Frost Ponies.''
''Roserobin?'' I broke in. ''She was... Um... Nice.''
''She was from, what, 500 years ago right?'' Flashwhirl asked me.
''Yeah,'' I answered. ''But I didn't know she wrote textbooks.''
''She didn't write it until a few days before she spoke her last words until her death,'' the teacher said.
''What death?'' I asked. ''I thought she still lives today. I think.''
''Well, that's what some ponies believe,'' she replied. ''But you're the Frost Pony.''

June 6 Hey there, diary,
I don't think I feel too happy in this new school. The ponies never look at me, touch me (Why would they?) or even talk to me. I feel worried that there's something wrong with me.

June 7 Um, diary,
I'm gonna find out what's wrong with me. I actually went to the doctor, and she said that my Cutie Mark has been glowing nonstop for days. I told her it was normal, but she said that it wasn't from what she's seen. I said that I'm not a normal pony, so when I need to make new friends, my Cutie Mark starts glowing.
The doctor wasn't any help. Now I have to go see Princess Celestia to see what's wrong with me. She's coming here to Fillidelphia for fun, like a vacation. But I seriously need help.
You know what? I shouldn't spoil her vacation. I should find out what's wrong with me myself. I think it's because my Cutie Mark keeps glowing, like the doctor said.
Let's try making new friends...

I made some friends today! I made friends with three ponies. Their names were Lily Lightly, Sun Love, and Moonshadow Mist. My Cutie Mark calmed down a little, but I'm guessing it still says that I need to make more. I don't want to make more. Because it's hard finding friends that will actually befriend you.
Okay, that's it. We're having PE today...

June 9 Uh oh, diary,
Today I just lost those friends. I don't know why. They must have heard something bad about me. I hope they don't hate me... I don't like being hated.
I just saw Fireflier in the Fillidelphia store. She was paying for what she bought. I thought the colors seemed familiar, and the shape. Then I figured out what it was she was buying.
It. Was. A. Diary.
JUST LIKE MINE!!!
I even didn't bother mentioning it to her. Because she'd think I was spying on her or something, like she always does... I'm positive. Don't believe me? Let me give you a few examples.
One time, she started squealing in her room back in our not-Fillidelphian P.F.P school. I heard from the next room. I opened the door connecting mine to hers. I asked, ''What's going on?'' and she yelled, ''Don't spy on me!!!'' She can be really annoying sometimes, but I really enjoy actually having a sister. I remember when we were fillies...
Okay, just... See what I mean?

June 11 Hi diary,
I still can't figure out why my friends that I just made hate me. Did they figure out I used to be evil? Things like that happen sometimes. I actually wish I can rewind back to the past and erase everything that happened so I wouldn't have to keep being reminded that I was a Flame Pony.

Talk about two words that don't go together, like ''sweet'' and ''sour.''
It's not fair. My friends can't just leave me here like this. Even Surprise has been avoiding me a lot lately. And I can't do anything about it.

June 12 Hey there, diary,
I'm going on a quest. To see if I can figure things out to save our friendship. Even if it takes up 5,000 years, I'm not-- I repeat-- NOT gonna give up. I can't live a life like this.
I heard something from Constellia's teaching called the Elements of Befriendment. They activate the whole land's friendship and allow friends to treat each other perfectly. I don't know about the ''perfect'' part. But back in the day, the Elements of Befriendment were very useful. It even had a good poem:
The Elements of Befriendment hold the universe, All night and day The stars, they gleam for everyone What big job they do And the world, Held together, With Elements so shining The Elements of Brefriendment hold friendship together, Forever And ever
I may be immortal, but I don't even care if it KILLS me to go on a quest like this. It's not good when a friend betrays you for no known reason.
Anyway, my sister just got a dog. She named her Fireflier Junior. I said that was a stupid name. She said I'm stupid. I say she's stupid.
Fireflier is also gonna get a cat soon. I wish she would stop hogging all of our pets. I'd actually like a cat, too. If I did, I'd name him Crystal Clear, named after Twilight's boyfriend.

June 13 Hi diary!!!
Guess what? Fireflier just invited me to go to the pet store with her!!! And she said that I can pick out a cat for myself!!!!!!!!! I hope there are some cool cats there. I'm thinking of a golden one with just hints of black and white. I'm still thinking of calling it Crystal Clear... And Fireflier's also getting herself a cat too. I hope by the end of our trip we don't have a house full of pets.

June 14 Hey, diary,
I got my cat today! I did name him Crystal Clear, but I changed ''Clear'' to ''Clover'' because I didn't want to get mixed up with the other Crystal Clear. And I didn't get the golden cat. I got a gray and black one. It still looks super cool though, probably because of the collar I picked out for him.
It was a golden one, with a small gem icon of a purple diamond. It even fit perfectly, like it was even MADE for him. Now that I think about it, I've seen a collar like this on Sparking Fire's cat, Firebloom. Except Firebloom's had a gem icon of a crystal heart.
And Rarity's cat, Opalescence (Opal for short), used to wear one that looked just like the collar too, except the gem icon on it was a blue ribbon bow.
Lyra's cat, Red Rose, had a collar like Crystal Clover's. Except the gem icon was a yellow star. It seemed cool, probably my favorite.
Dinky Hooves has her own cat. She named it Sun Drop. (Get it? Rain Drop? Sun Drop?) It has a golden collar with a gem icon as a picture of a sun.
Princess Cadance has a cat, too. She named it Golden. It was actually a blue, no, ocean, colored cat. It did have a golden collar like Crystal Clover's, but the gem icon was two hearts connected, one red, one pink.
I've actually been getting suspicious. With the collars. I read once that there was an empire of ponies that were cursed. I don't know what kind of curse it was. They used these necalices called the Elements of Befriendment and killed the curse. And transformed into cats to hide their pony appearance. But their necalices were turned into collars.
But nah. These cats can't possibly be them. Because these cats just ordinary, everyday cats. And it doesn't seem possible that they are actually ponies.
Cat. Cat. Cat.
Cats everywhere. I'm still suspicious...

(P.S., it is now 9:00 at night and I am playing with Crystal Clover. I am also trying to eat some pretzels at the same time, and trying to go on the Internet to look up reasons how to know if your cat is an Element of Befriendment or not. So far, no luck.)
