Kirby and Meta-Kight visit Equestra, and help stop an old foe.
Princess Celestia senses a grave threat to Equestria, and calls on Kirby and Meta-Knight to help stop him. Will the heroes of Popstar and Equestria get alone? Will the demonic beast be defeated? Only one way to find out!
In the far reaches of the galaxy a fierce creature known as Nightmare tried to take over the universe with his legions of demon beasts. A group of people, not willing to grant him victory, formed their own army and battled his forces. These warriors came to be known as “Star Warriors”!
Only one of the warriors lived to tell the tale, his armor battered and chipped. The war only delayed Nightmare, who used his demons as tools for business, selling them in order to keep them at all stars in the various systems.
Not all hope was lost though as the lone knight took off waiting for a new generation of young Star Warriors. He took haven on Popstar, working for the selfish king of a country known as Dreamland. The knight, garbed in a blue cape and white armored mask, patiently waited for a Star Warrior to arrive.
And arrive he did. He was an eight inch tall, pink little puffball, with eyes blue of the ocean, red feet and rosy cheeks, named Kirby. Kirby had remarkable abilities. He was able to inhale entire tables’ worth of food, among other things. He could eat almost anything, (though he’s most fond of tomatoes) and fit endless amounts of items in his stomach. On top of that he had a unique ability to copy the skills of whatever he devoured. There was only one catch; he was awoken two-hundred years early!
As a result he was effectively a baby, and incapable of language. The king, known as Dedede, took an immediate disliking to the pink puff, and mocked him at every opportunity. Perhaps because the king was envious, of Kirby’s popularity or of his being a Star Warrior, maybe he just found Kirby annoying, no one can really say. Despite this Kirby held no personal qualms with Dedede.
That said the penguin king crossed the line when he stole all the food from Dreamland. Kirby confronted the king and recovered the food for all of Dreamland to feast on. His relationship with the king has evolved from animosity to a slightly more friendly rivalry. As for the Knight he applied his own... unique methods to train the young Kirby.
Eventually, Nightmare himself attacked dreamland using the fountain of dreams. With the power of the Star Rod Kirby managed to beat the evil business lord and peace returned to Dreamland. (At least, for a while)
Since then, Kirby has made new friends and gone on great adventures! Only time will tell what he will do now…
Terrible circumstances have arisen. A dark creature that seeks to conquer the entire universe has set its sights on us. I will need your help, as well as help from your friends. Don’t be anxious though, my young pupil, as I will be enlisting help from two brave warriors, one of which managed to defeat this dastardly foe before! With his assistance the Elements of Harmony Hopefully will not be needed. Please come to Canterlot post haste.

After a long train ride to Canterlot…
“Oh, maybe this warrior will be a fierce beat with six arms and giant razor sharp teeth.” Said a pink mare with a cotton candy mane as she left the train.
“Pinkie, please stop.” Mumbled a shy, Cream Colored Pegasus pony, hiding behind her long pink
mane.
“Or maybe he’s a pony with a huge buster sword on his back and does all sorts of magic!” Pinkie rambled on.
“And what else?” The orange southern pony added sarcastically, “Is he genetically modified?”
“OHMYGOSH he might be!” The spastic pony buzzed.
“Oh fabulous, now you’ve got her even more excited.” A posh white pony criticized.
The party pony droned on and, on as they made their way across the city. Eventually, they reached the castle gardens.
“And maybe he’ll have mixed up memories!”
“Pinkie,” The princess’s pupil tried to step in, a bit more than annoyed.
“We’ll have to help him fix his memory, and”
“PINKIE!” The cyan Pegasus yelped from above the rambler’s head.
“Yes, Dashie?”
“We’re here.” Twilight chipped in.
“OOOOO! What are we waiting for lets meet the Hero!”
“Ah, here you are my little ponies.” A regal voice called from the now open door.
“Princess Celestia,” Twilight Sparkle greeted with a bow. “We are ready to see this warrior.”
“Is he here? Let me see him? Come on, pretty please!?”
“I haven’t summoned him yet, truth be told all that I know is that this warrior has beaten the creature that seeks to destroy us and that he doesn’t speak our language.”
“Oh…” The pink pony sighed. “Well that means it will be an even bigger surprise!”
“But Princess, how will we communicate with him?” Twilight mumbled.
“Don’t worry about that my young apprentice, as an ally of his that can speak to us will arrive as
well.”
“Well let’s get this show on the road!” The Rainbow maned pony declared.
They made their way through the beautiful castle. Passing room after room, the 5 out of 6 of the young ponies were still taken aback by the stunning marble architecture. After traveling from room to grandiose room the ponies reached the hall with stained glass portraits. There was one for each of Equestria’s many historical events; such as Celestia banishing Nightmare Moon, and the holders of the elements of harmony defeating both Nightmare Moon and Discord after their separate returns. Soon they came to a large empty chamber.
“Alright now I will need some space for this spell, so please stand back.” The sun goddess announced.
The princess closed her eyes and concentrated. Soon her grand ivory horn lit with a magic aura. A small cyan light started to shine in the center of the chamber. The light soon enveloped the room and brought the smell of cake and strawberry with it. A high pitch “Oomph” was heard along with it.
After the light faded all the ponies could see was a small pink ball with red feet, face down on the floor. The source of the smell was splattered in front of him.
“OH IT’S A LITTLE PUFF BALL! I WANNA HUG HIM AND SQUEEZ HIM ‘CAUSE HE’S A CUTE LITTLE GUY!” Pinkie gushed. (The others ignored her; she was just being Pinkie Pie)
Everypony else was taken aback. Could this be this legendary hero? Where’s his friend? Please tell me he’s just the friend! They all had their mouths gaping open.
Meanwhile the puff ball flipped over to a sitting position, revealing his deep blue eyes, and rosy cheeks. It looked ahead and sighed. Would he ever have his cake and eat it to? Only then did he take in his surroundings, exhaling a very confused, “Poyo?”
A blue cape swirled into existence, another circular creature in a white mask appearing in it with a strange blade held toward Celestia. The sword was golden and jagged with curved, thorn like protrusions. “Who are you? Why am I here? Where is this pla-” He belted in a Spanish accent before being interrupted by the pink blob.
The puff interrupted the masked creature in the oddest of ways. He sucked up a mighty amount of air. His mouth seemed like a vacuum cleaner, but 10 times wider and stronger! But the suction was in a limited area, and formed a cone of swirling are where it was potent enough to capture anything. After the blue attacker was in his mouth he spat the creature out. A small scolding was delivered to the caped ball in the form of a shake of the pink puffs head. (I say head; it was more like his entire body moved excluding is feet and stubby appendages)
“Kirby?” The hostile creature said after regaining his composure.
He was met by a, “Humph!” from Kirby who turned away.
An annoyed groan escaped the swordsman.
“P-Princess Celestia, w-what is going on?” Twilight stuttered.
“I’ll tell you when I know if I’ve gone insane or not!” The normally regal pony exclaimed breaking her usual demeanor.
“Princess?” The creature wrapped himself in his cloak. “My apologies madam, I was unaware of your position.” He bowed.
“Who are you two?” The Princess managed, still in shock.
“My name is Sir Meta-Knight, and he is Kirby.” Kirby delivered a high-pitched, “Hi!” at the sound of his name?”
“I hope you will excuse my previous tone, but would you be so kind as to answer my previous questions?” “That would be fine, but first a question of my own; is he the one who defeated Nightmare?” Celestia continued.
“Who, Kirby?” The crowd looked to where he was, but no one was there. Upon further inspection he was being chased about by Pinkie Pie. Surprisingly, Kirby managed to keep a fair distance from her. “Yes, he did…”
“How?” Twilight asked, slightly exasperated.
“He has incredible abilities; it would be easier to explain then as they become relevant. Why did you bring up Nightmare?” Meta-Knight moved on.
“He has returned, and is targeting us. That is why I have summoned you here to Equestria.” Celestia explained.
“Who’s this Nightmare?” Twilight interjected.
“Is it related to Luna in some way?” Rainbow added.
“No my subjects, let us explain.” Celestia began.
After the exposition from the Prologue…
“And so Kirby defeated Nightmare with the power of the star rod.” Meta-Knight finished.
“This is a lot to take in.” Applejack said.
“Indeed it is. Well I did have a feast set up to commemorate the arrival of the heroes. It’s being held in the garden, you may go I have other matters to attend to.” Celestia dismissed herself.
“I hope you have a lot of food.” Meta-Knight responded.
When they arrived at the garden there was a huge table full of food. They had everything from sandwiches to, apples, to… tomatoes! Soon, just off to the side of where a table once stood, was a swollen Kirby.
Everypony, with the exception of Pinkie who was smiling ear to ear due the adorable mass of pink standing in front of her, stared in amazement. Did Kirby just eat the table? Meta-Knight’s reaction was different.
“Kirby, you gluttonous blob, spit that out right now!” He barked.
Kirby swallowed, returning to normal size and turned away with a “Humph!”
“Now Kirby!”
The pink puff refused. The two started to bicker (I say bicker it was more Meta-Knight yelling at Kirby who responded with various “Poyos” and the like)
“Am I the only one who thinks something is wrong here?” Rarity said quietly.
“I’m not sure,” Twilight answered. “But this is… Weird”
“That’s an understatement.” Applejack added.
“If he’s a hero, how will he fight?” Rainbow Dash wondered. “He doesn’t look so-”
“CRACK!” Her thought was interrupted by a crash of thunder. They all looked up. It was sunny out with only one white cloud in the sky. How could- Wait! Was it getting closer? Are those yellow spikes around it?! DOES IT HAVE AN EYE BALL?!
As the cloud came closer, Meta-Knight and Kirby put their argument on hold.
“Kracko?!” Meta-Knight was shocked. The look on Kirby’s face told the same story. “Quick we must find somewhere underground!”
The 8 ran for the city. Kirby held his stumps up above his head/body, as his feet fluttered across the ground. Meta-Knight ran with his blade ready. Kracko followed, striking lightning at them, especially Meta-Knight who was slower due to his armor. They zigzagged through the streets of Canterlot, yelling for ponies to go indoors. The group eventually made it to a subway station to catch their breath.
“W-what is that?” Twilight panted.
“Kracko,” The blue knight explained, “One on N.M.E.’s oldest monsters. As you see he’s a lightning elemental monster.”
“How do we fight it?” Rainbow asked.
Meta-Knight turned to Kirby, “Call your warp star.”
Kirby pulled out a small pink box. It had buttons, a screen, and an antenna with a star at the end. Kirby blabbered into it. Soon a large yellow star soared in.
“What is that thing?” Applejack asked.
“The warp star is like a power source for Kirby,” The armored puff explained. “He can also use it as a flying vehicle. Now all we need is something to arm Kirby with…” Meta-Knight and Kirby scanned the room, they could use Meta-Knight’s sword but that probably wouldn’t be affective.
“I have a boomerang!” Pinkie spoke up. Out of nowhere she pulled out a metal, somewhat ‘V’ shaped, bar.
“Why do you have that?” Meta-Knight asked.
“In case of boomerang emergency, silly!”
Both deciding it was best to just accept her madness, Kirby took the boomerang. He threw the weapon up and swallowed it. As he did a yellow hat with eye’s appeared on his head. Down the middle of the hat was a sharp curved yellow blade.
Kirby jumped on the warp star and took off.

“A HAT!?” A confused and frustrated Twilight sounded, “Kirby’s oh-so-powerful ability is making hats!?”
“Remind me to ask Kirby to help me at the boutique later.” Rarity whispered to Fluttershy, who was hiding in a trash can.
“You do not understand Ms. Sparkle,” Meta-Knight started, “Kirby has a very unique ‘copy ability’ that allows him to get special powers from what he eats. That Yellow hat has a blade sharp enough to pierce steel, and he has an infinite supply of them.”
“Then why does it have eyes on it?” Twilight asked.
“As I said Kirby is still very young, and it shows in some of his ability hats.”
“Why did he need my boomerang for that?” Pinkie seemingly came from nowhere.
“The cutter blade functions as a boomerang; it will travel a short distance frontwards then a very quickly backwards as it returns.”
Kirby flew toward the now massive cloud; riding is warp star like a skate board. He dodged many bursts of green lighting as he rose into the air. Eventually, he floated at the demon beast’s height. Kracko charged a green aura opening him up to attacks.
Not daring to bridge the gap between them, the Pink warrior tossed blade after blade from his hat. After a short flight forwards, the golden cutters curved over Kirby and pounded Kracko’s eye. After an onslaught of boomerangs, Kracko had his aura fully charged.
A brilliant ball of green slammed into Kirby sending him spinning end over end away from his warp star. The vehicle chased after its owner. A mere 10 feet from the ground and the star caught Kirby, who flipped to his feet. The lightning demon had enough time for another aura to build up and be fired. Quickly, Kirby did a barrel roll around it. As the puff breathed a sigh of relief, a bolt of lightning shot past him. From the ground the battle looked like a fierce thunder storm with a yellow star flying towards its eye. Desperate to bridge the gap between them, Kirby boosted forward. He bobbed and weaved past shot after shot.
Finally, he was close to the monster. With a final boost of speed Kirby went right up to Kracko’s eye. He grabbed a blade from his yellow hat and mercilessly sliced at the cloud. “NYAH!” He cried as he did a powerful jump slash. “HAY!” He slammed on to his warp star onto the ground with great force, running his blade through Kracko as he did so. The warp star soared down, the demon beast exploding behind it. [Music Stops]
His friends where on the ground to meet Kirby as he came down. When he did he spat out the boomerang, losing his power in the process. Then he did what he always did when he achieved victory; he danced.
He jumped and turned a full 360 degrees in the air, then rolled across the ground. After a few arm pumps he moon-walked and struck a pose, with one foot on the ground the other straight outward and he pointed his arms in different directions.
