-Story-
Xehanort(Young) is attempting to bring more worlds into sleep to try and corrode all worlds, it's now up to the 7 legendary keyblade wielders to stop him, but with Xehanort's time traveling powers he's not only revived the Kingdom Hearts Universes most terrible enemies, but he's also teamed up with two other familiar evil entities. Will the heroes save the day, or will they need help from five familiar faces? Find out in My Little Kingdom Hearts: Hearts Are Power!
In the castle grounds Twilight, Pinkie Pie, AppleJack, Fluttershy, and Rarity are lying in the grass looking at the stars in the sky.
“Wow, it sure is beautiful.” said Pinkie Pie in a trance.
“It sure is.” replies Everypony.
“So, Twi.”
“Yes AppleJack?”
“What do ya think Princess Celestia’s Mark of Mastery Test is gonna be like?”
“I’m not sure, but we’ll have to rest up. Who knows what Celestia will have in store for us tomorrow.”
“Aw what are you guys so worried about?!” asks Pinkie Pie rolling onto her tummy. “Were gonna do great! We’ve trained hard for this right?”
“RIGHT!” shouts everypony.
“And we’re gonna give the test our all right?”
“RIGHT!”
“And we’re gonna pass with flying colors right?!”
“RIGHT!”
“Exactly!” shouted Pinkie Pie as she rolled onto her back with a huge smile. “So we’ve got nothing to worry about.”
“Pinkie’s right.” said Rarity. “We’ll do just fine.”
“Thanks Pinkie.” said Fluttershy with a smile.
“For what?”
“The confidence boost… I was a little nervous at first, but thanks to you I think I can do it.”
“Glad to help.”
“Hey, I have an idea.” said Twilight standing up and pulling out her keyblade Spell Caster. “Let’s spar before we head home. It’d be a great way to get us fired up for tomorrow’s test.”
“Ah couldn’t agree more.” said AppleJack as she pulled out her keyblade Cider Buster and took her battle stance.
Pinkie quickly shot up with her keyblade Party Palooza in hand. “Woohoo! This is gonna be fun!”
Rarity casually stood up with her keyblade Generous Gift in hand. “Yes, well let’s not take too long with this. We don’t want to be ‘too’ tired for tomorrow.”
Fluttershy slowly get up and pulls out her keyblade Butterfly Kiss. “Um, g-guys…could you pl-please go easy one m-me?”
“Sorry Fluttershy, but Princess Celestia isn’t gonna go easy on you tomorrow, so you’re gonna have to give it your all like the rest of us.” said Twilight.
“Uh, o-okay.”
“Let’s begin!!” shouted Pinkie Pie as she charged out at AppleJack and attempted to strike at her face. AppleJack easily knocked her keyblade to the side attempted to strike at Pinkie Pie’s stomach. Twilight quickly knocked AppleJack’s keyblade up and swings at her, Rarity charges at AppleJack but she quickly ducks causing Twilight’s keyblade to swing at Rarity which she barely blocks Twilight’s keyblade swing. Fluttershy just stands on the side lines watching the battle rage on until Pinkie Pie gently pokes her on the shoulder with her keyblade getting her attention.
“Ready Fluttershy?”
“Uh…Not really Pinkie.”
“Here I come!” Pinkie Pie pulls her keyblade back and swings at Fluttershy. Fluttershy quickly ducks and runs away from Pinkie Pie. “Hey! Come back here!” shouted Pinkie Pie as she charges after Fluttershy.
“Pinkie! Please! I don’t want to continue!”
“You have to! It’s gonna be on the test!”
Fluttershy’s eyes quickly went from scared to intense. “I. Said. NO!!” Fluttershy quickly hops back and swings at Pinkie Pie. Pinkie Pie barely blocks it and even though her keyblade stopped the attack she was forced to the ground due to the force of Fluttershy’s swing. Fluttershy looked down at Pinkie Pie with an enraged face panting, after a few seconds Fluttershy gasps and helps Pinkie Pie up. “Oh Pinkie, I am so sorry. I didn’t mean to-”
“That was great! Keep that up and you’ll pass tomorrow for sure.”
“Uh, r-right.”
Back with the others Twilight, AppleJack, and Rarity are still trading keyblade swings. Rarity swings at Twilight but Twilight easily cancels out her attack with a fire spell, knocking Rarity’s swing back. AppleJack tries her luck and swings at Twilight, she barely blocks AppleJack’s attack and pushes her back. Twilight and Rarity then quickly go back at it trading swings with each other. AppleJack quickly re-joins the intense battle until the three jump away from each other, panting for air.
“N-Not bad, you two.” Twilight said, still gasping for air. “I-I think we’re ready for tomorrow.”
“Ah th-think so, too. So what do ya say Twi? Should we stop here and get some sleep?” asked AppleJack.
“Yes, I think now’s a perfect time to pack it up. Hey, has anyone seen Pinkie or Fluttershy?”
The three look around until they spot Fluttershy still running away from Pinkie Pie.
“PINKIE!! PLEASE STOP CHASING ME!!” shouted Fluttershy running at top speed.
“BUT WE HAVEN’T EVEN GOTTEN INTO IT YET!!” shouted Pinkie Pie running at top speed with keyblade in hand.
Twilight, AppleJack, and Rarity couldn’t help but laugh there heads off at the spectacle.
-In the castle thrown room-
Princess Celestia is looking at the moon with concern in her eyes.
“What troubles you sister?” asks Luna as she approaches her sister.
“I sense, a storm coming.”
“Is that why you decided to have the girl’s mark of mastery exam early?”
“Yes, I need to see if they’re ready for anything. Tomorrow will tell me everything.”
“Will you tell them the situation tomorrow?”
“Only IF they pass the test.”
-In the Maze Garden at Midnight-
A figure in a black coat walks up to Discord's statue which had him in his petrified state and he places his hand on his leg and the stone which had encased him slowly disappeared until he was freed.
“Ah! To be free and all powerful again!” said Discord stretching his arms. “And who are you?”
The figure removed his hood and revealed himself to be young Xehanort. “My name is Xehanort. And you’re going to help me drown the worlds in darkness.”
“Worlds?” asked Discord in actual shock. “You mean there are other worlds besides this one?”
“Yes, and I require your assistance to guide them to the depths of darkness. Will you help?” asked Xehanort holding out his hand.
Discord the let out a devilish smile and shook Xehanort’s hand “Of course child, any excuse to cause chaos is a good excuse.”
“Good.”
Then a black portal opens up and Vanitus walks out with an unconscious Luna on his back. “I brought her like you asked. She was a little bit of trouble, but I was able to take her down.”
“Is she alive?”
“Yes master, I was surprised, the enhancements you gave me actually gave me an edge. But I don’t know what you see in this loser. She was tough, but nothing to actually report.”
Xehanort's no name keyblade appears in his hand and he aims his keyblade over her heart. “It’s not ‘her’ I want, it’s what exists inside her heart.” Xehanort then stabs Luna’s chest causing her to slightly yelp in pain as her heart begins to unleash darkness until the darkness takes shape into Nightmare Moon. “Dark creature from Luna’s heart, tell me, are you the creature the beings of this world refer to as ‘Nightmare Moon’?”
“Yes, and I thank you for freeing me, now I’ll be on my way.”
“Halt!” said Xehanort slightly raising his voice.
“Hm? What is it?”
“I did not free you from your prison just to watch you go, I require your assistance.”
“Oh really? You already have that brain dead idiot helping you, what could you want from me?”
“Well, ‘hello’ to you to Nightmare Moon.” said Discord crossing his arms in annoyance.
“I need your help because I intend to drown the worlds in darkness. I need your help.” Xehanort then held out his hand. “Will you help me?”
Nightmare Moon stared at Xehanort for a few seconds and looked at his hand and smiled. “Alright, if it means drowning worlds in darkness I’m in.”
“Good, now let’s go. We need to meet the others.”
“Others?” asked Discord and Nightmare Moon.
“Yes, there are others that will assist in blackening the worlds. We will now go and meet them.” Xehanort raised his hands to the sky and the four disappeared in a flash of darkness.
Celestia is taking a stroll through the garden until she spots Luna on the ground seemingly lifeless. “Luna!” Celestia runs to her sister and helps her up. “Sister! Are you alright?!”
Luna’s eyes slowly begin to open. “T-Tia? I-Is that you?”
“Yes! It’s me Luna! What happened?!”
“L-Last night, I was, a-attacked, by a boy. With a…keyblade.”
Celestia’s eye pupils shrank at the word ‘keyblade’ “Could it be that ‘he’ attacked?” Celestia then took a quick look to her left and saw that Discord’s statue had disappeared causing her to shiver. “No! It cannot be! It’s far worse than I thought. Guards!! Guards!!”
Two guards approach Celestia and salute her as they halt in front of her. “Yes, your highness!”
“Take my sister to the infirmary, and call my students! It seems there mark of mastery test will be held earlier than planned.”
“Yes ma’am!” the two guards shouted as they took Luna and left.
Celestia slowly approached where Discord’s statue once stood. “To think he enlisted that lunatic. I can only hope this’ll work.”
-2 hours later-
Twilight, AppleJack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity are in throne room wait for Celestia to arrive.
“That’s odd.” said Twilight rubbing her chin.
“What’s that Twi?” asked AppleJack.
“I thought our mark of mastery exam was supposed to be next week. It’s kinda out of the blue to just have it today.”
“Maybe something came up?” asked Fluttershy.
“I hope not.” replied Rarity.
Celestia then walked into the throne room and sat on her chair. “Welcome my students, I’m sorry for calling on you on such short notice, but I’m afraid we ‘must’ have your test today.”
“But why princess?” asked Twilight. “What came up?”
“If you pass your test, I will inform you, but for now I need you all to focus on your test.”
Everyone saluted the princess. “Yes ma’am!”
“Now you’re test is this: Do you remember those two individuals that cause trouble in the market place?”
“Yes ma’am.” replied everyone.
“I heard that even the royal guards can’t catch them.” said Rarity.
“And that is your mark of mastery test, if you can catch those two and bring them to me, you all will pass.”
“You can count on us ma’am!” said Pinkie Pie whimsically.
“Let’s go girls!” shouted Twilight.
“Right!” The girls ran out of the throne room.
“Good luck girls, for you’re next adventure maybe more dangerous then I had hoped.”
-In the market place-
A homeless kid is sneaking about and sees an apple on a kart and takes it and runs as fast as he can.
“Hey!!” shouted the merchant as he chased after the kid. “Get back here and pay for that!”
The kid keeps running as fast as he can and ducks behind an alley but stops in horror when he notices it’s a dead end. The merchant catches up with the boy and slowly begins to approach him.
“Alright, kid. Last chance, give me the apple, and I won’t call the guards!”
The kid clutches the apple and slowly backs up. The merchant was about to grab the kid until a trash can lid flies out of nowhere and slams into the back of the merchants head. “Grah!!” shouts the merchant as he falls to his knees and looks to see who threw the lid. “What?!?! I-It’s you two?!”
Two figures in brown cloaks walk up to the merchant. “Let the kid go.” said the first figure.
“Get outta here kid. It’s not safe for you here.” said the second on the right.
“Th-Thank you.” the kid said weakly as he ran at top speed out of the alley.
“Curse you two! That kid is getting away!!” yelled the merchant.
“So? That kid was obviously have a hard time getting by, it was just one apple anyway, I don’t see what the big deal is.” said the second figure.
“Grr! You two, you’ll regret this!” the merchant then ran off. “I’ll call the guards on you two.”
The two figures began to laugh as they took off there hood revealing them to be Rainbow Dash and me.
“HAHAHAHAH!!! He obviously doesn’t know who we are!” laughed Rainbow Dash.
“HAHAHAHAH!! Like calling the guards will do much, we’ve been evading them for years!” I laughed.
“So, what should we do? Stick around or just leave?”
“Meh, lets leave we can get our exercise after lunch.”
“Right.” Rainbow Dash and I disappear.
The merchant runs up to his shop and begins to write a letter until he sees Twilight. “Oh, miss Twilight!”
“Hm? Oh, hello mister. How can we help you today?”
“Those two thieves just helped a child steal one of my apples!”
“Perfect timin’ we were just lookin’ fer those two.” said AppleJack pulling out Cider Buster.
“Thank you girls, I saw the heading off over there.” the merchant points to said location. “Please catch them.”
“Don’t worry sir!” said Twilight in a heroic voice. “We’ll catch them, we promise! Let’s go girls!”
“Right!”
The girls run off with there keyblades in hand.
With me and Rainbow Dash we slyly walk by a pear kart and as we walk away we start to eat a pear while gently laughing.
“That was too easy.” I laughed.
“It’s like they don’t even pay attention anymore.” Rainbow Dash chuckled as she took a bite of her pear.
“Stop right there criminal scum!” shouted Twilight.
“Really? That’s really what you’re going with?” asked Rarity.
“What, it’s a great heroic line!”
“I liked it!” shouted Pinkie Pie with a wide smile.
“Thank you Pinkie, now let’s-” Twilight was then interrupted by my and Rainbow Dash’s laughter.
“BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Are you serious?! Are you guys really the chosen five trained by Celestia herself?!” laughed Rainbow Dash.
“HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Stop! I can’t breath! HAHAHAHA”
Twilight and her friends became irritated and they all pulled out there keyblades causing me and Rainbow Dash to stop laughing for a moment.
“Hm, maybe they are for real.” I said taking a bite from my pear.
“There swords remind me of that one guard that was chasing us.”
Huh? A guard with a keyblade? Twilight thought. “Oh! You must mean Shinning Armor!”
“Was that his name?” I asked.
“I dunno, I didn’t ask.”
“Shinning Armor is my brother! And I don’t know how you two got away from him, but I can assure you both that neither of you will get away!”
“Is that right? Well then little lady, come and get us!” both me and Rainbow Dash pull out smoke pellets and toss them to the ground causing the girls to cough while Rainbow Dash and I made our escape.
Twilight barely saw Rainbow Dash and I run off and her keyblade began to glow. “Oh no you-*cough* don’t! Wind!” raising her keyblade to the sky, Twilight summoned a powerful gust of wind to form blowing the smoke away. “Don’t let them get away!!”
“Right!” replied everyone as they charged off.
“Yo! Rainbow!”
“Yeah?”
“Let’s split up! We can regroup later!”
“Right!”
With that me and Rainbow Dash took off in opposite directions causing the girls to stop.
“Pinkie Pie, you and Fluttershy, deal with the boy. Me, AppleJack, and Rarity can handle the girl.”
“Right!” Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy took off with the others heading off to get Rainbow Dash.
Rainbow Dash looks around her checking to make sure she wasn’t followed. “Well, the coast looks clear so far. Who knows, maybe we already gave em’ the slip.” as Rainbow Dash looked in front of her she saw Rarity and AppleJack in her path with keyblades at the ready. “Uh oh. Not good.” Rainbow Dash stops quickly and runs down an alley path and wall jumps of the narrow walls and begins to jump from roof top to roof top trying desperately to escape the two keyblade wielders.
With Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie, they were checking in all the alleyways and behind every crate and barrel making sure I wasn’t hiding behind anything.
“Man, where could he have gone? He couldn’t have gotten very far.” said Pinkie Pie scratching her head.
“Maybe he’s hiding on the roof tops?”
“Nah, I doubt he’d do something that crazy.”
Just then Fluttershy saw me jump over Fluttershy’s head. “Uh, Pinkie?”
“Not now Fluttershy, I’m thinking. Hmm…maybe he went home?”
“Or maybe he’s up there?” Fluttershy pointed at a roof top and Pinkie Pie nearly dropped her keyblade.
“Fluttershy! Why didn’t you tell me?!” Pinkie Pie then dashed off in hot pursuit.
Fluttershy had an annoyed look on her face. “I did tell you.” Fluttershy then ran off to catch up with Pinkie Pie.
Meanwhile, Rainbow Dash was starting to get descent distance between her and AppleJack and Rarity. “Finally, I think the worst is over.” suddenly Rainbow Dash bumped into Twilight. “Huh?! What the-?! How did you get up here?!”
“I can use magic with my keyblade, duh.”
“Oh, right.”
“Now, are you gonna surrender? Or does this get ugly?”
“Alright, I guess it’s no use to-PHSYCE!!” Rainbow Dash instantly pulls out powder from her back pocket and throws it in Twilight’s face hitting her eyes and causing her to cough up a storm.
“Haha! See ya sucker!” Rainbow Dash jumped off the roof and landed in a mobile kart undetected.
“W-*cough* *cough* Wait! G-Get ba-*cough* *cough* back here!” Twilight then fell to her knees coughing.
“Haha! She’ll be coughing for hours. Now All I’ve gotta do is ride this kart all the way back to the hideout.”
Meanwhile, Pinkie Pie was already catching up me until I had slipped and fell off the roof top and landed inside a pile of boxes. Pinkie Pie jumps down and lands in front of me and holds out her hand. “Are you okay?”
“Y-Yeah, I think so.”
“Good. So are you gonna surrender now?”
“Sure, I just need to check one thing first.” I started to search in my pocket for something.
“Goodie! So, what are you checking on?”
“My smoke bombs!” I quickly throw it on the ground and dash out of the alley way and run at top speed. “There getting closer and closer. I gotta stop fooling around and just get back to the hideout!”
Pinkie Pie slowly walks out of the alley coughing with Fluttershy finally catching up. “Pinkie? Are you alright?”
Pinkie Pie pointed behind her. “Th-That *cough* way.”
“Right!” Fluttershy ran at top speed eventually catching up to me.
“Oh come on! Do theses people ever give up?!” I reach into both of my pockets and grab a handful of smoke bombs and drop them leaving a huge wave of smoke behind me. “Ha! Try and catch me now!”
Fluttershy raises her keyblade to the sky and the tip begins to glow. “Wind!” she shouted as a huge gust of wind blew the smoke away in an instant.
“Oh so they have magic now? Great, just great.”
Unknown to me or Rainbow Dash, the kart she was resting in was about to come into a collision course with me. I kept running while looking behind me still unaware of the kart until BAM! I slammed right into the kart send both Rainbow Dash and I flying across the sky and crashing hard into a brick wall only to land on the concrete.
“Ow.” We both moaned.
Twilight and the others were quick to surround us.
“Great, just great.” pouted Rainbow Dash.
-Back in the throne room-
“We did it Master Celestia! We captured them!” Twilight announced happily.
“I’m impressed my students. You’ve actually done what my royal guards could not.”
“It was easy yer highness.” said AppleJack saluting.
“Actually no, it wasn’t easy at all.” said Pinkie Pie.
“Now why did ya go an say that?!”
“What? It’s the truth!”
Celestia giggled. “It’s quite alright, but since you have caught them your mark of mastery test is complete.”
“Alright!” shouted everyone.
“Now as for the two of you-”
“Oh great, here it comes.” I whispered to Rainbow Dash.
“I would like to know your names.”
Me and Rainbow Dash give each other an odd look.
“The name’s Rainbow Dash, don’t ware it out.”
“My name is David. And as long as you don’t execute us, then I can safely say it’s nice to meet you.”
“Don’t worry, I won’t. For I require both of your assistances.”
“SAY WHAT!?!?!?” shouted everyone in confusion.
“Yes, Twilight.”
“Yes princess?”
“Remember when you asked me why you were having your mark of mastery test so early?”
“Yes.”
“My reason is this, as you all know there is a balance between light and darkness in all worlds keeping balance through out the universes, but there have been strange fluxuations in darkness as of late. And my suspicions were confirmed earlier this morning when I found my sister beaten and semi-conscious in the garden.”
Everyone looked at Celestia with faces of pure horror.
“What?! Princess Luna was injured?” asked Twilight in shock.
“Forget about that!” I interrupted. “She was actually defeated?! What type of power are we dealing with that can actually defeat a goddess?!”
“A power beyond my expectations. Which is why I needed my students to capture you both.”
“You’re speaking in riddles to me.” said Rainbow Dash. “Exactly how was catching us going to help them deal with these bad guys you’re talking about.”
“Because I’m going to make you two keyblade wielders.”
Everyone’s jaws nearly dropped to the floor. “WHAT?!?!”
“But, Master Celestia, I don’t think that’s a good idea! These two are thieves!”
“Hey! Do we come into your homes and insult you guys?” I asked offended.
“Then please tell us, what do you two do?” asked Celestia.
“…okay we steal.” I admitted.
“But we only do it so we can survive. We’ve had it rough recently.” said Rainbow Dash.
“How?” asked Pinkie Pie with curiosity gleaming in her eyes.
“Well it’s kind of a long story.”
“Who should tell there side first?” I asked.
“Rock Paper Scissors?”
“Definitely.”
Me and Rainbow Dash play three rounds of Rock Paper Scissors and Rainbow Dash wins.
“Dang it!”
“Aw yeah, I’m going first! Alright well, I had to start stealing a few years ago. One day I left my house and went off to play at the park until I ran into these strange purple monsters that were slim and quick. They were tearing up the whole park and I barely managed to escape. I thought I was safe until I found out there were other monsters in the city with the same strange symbols and they were setting the whole town on fire. When I reached home, it was nothing more than flames, and in front of the flames was a boy who was holding a sword. I was able to escape and since then I’ve been living on my own.”
“I see.” said Celestia rubbing her chin. “And what did the symbols look like?”
“I can’t really remember. I was too busy running away.”
“I understand. What about you then?”
“Well… really don’t remember anything about my past, all I know is that I started out living like this, having to steal just to survive. One day I was trying to steal a loaf of bread and I ended up getting caught. Those salesmen were gonna kill me, until I was saved by Rainbow Dash. She beat all three of them up with just a stick, long enough for us to make an escape, since then we’ve been helping each other survive.”
“It seems you both have had it rough.”
“Yes your highness.” We both replied.
“Which is why I’m giving you two a chance to improve your lives. Will you two become keyblade wielders, and help my students defeat the upcoming evil?”
Me and Rainbow Dash stare at each other for a few minuets and smile. “We’re in.”
“Excellent!” Celestia stood up and walked towards us. “Now the 1st step for you two is to pass the test of the station of awakening.”
“The station of awakening?” we asked in unison.
“It’s a weird place where you have to pick your path for the keyblade to adjust to your fighting style.” Pinkie Pie explained.
“I don’t get it but we’ll do whatever it takes.” I said.
“Good. Twilight.”
“Yes Master Celestia?”
“You and the others are free to do whatever you want. I need some time to train these two to be ready for the journey ahead.”
“Yes ma’am!” the girls replied leaving the room.
-Meanwhile, at the keyblade graveyard-
This is one of the worlds that have been engulfed in darkness. The only change to this world is that it’s darker and the sky is purple. Xehanort walks out of the portal with Vanitus, Nightmare Moon, and Chaos behind him.
“Nice place. I thought I knew what depressing was, being trapped in stone for so long. But I must say that this is a nice change of pace.” said Discord grinning at the drained environment.
“Enough, now it’s time I informed you all on the situation.” said Xehanort facing the group.
“Finally, the suspense was killing me.”
“Do you ever shut up?” asked Vanitus with his irritation starting to show.
“You’re such a bore…”
“Vanitus.”
“Vanitus, just like Celestia.”
“Cele-what?”
“Enough you two!” said Xehanort slightly raising his tone. “Save your petty squabbles for later. As I was saying the situation is this: A little while ago I had gathered the thirteen seekers of darkness so I could set my future in motion and grow into the man that would live beyond the keyblade war-”
“Time out!” called Discord.
“What is it?”
“You’ve lost me, what are the thirteen seekers of darkness, and how did this set your future in the way you wanted it, and what is a keyblade war?”
“I see, I thought you already knew, but it seems I’m going to have to start from the beginning. The seekers of darkness, in a short version, are the thirteen individuals that knew of light and darkness but chose to seek out the darkness, they knew that all worlds began in darkness and all so ended. So they decided to abandon the light that had deceived and blinded them, and sought out to find the secrets of the darkness. They would set my future in motion because I had all of there hearts and minds hooked up to mine so they would all have my heart and thought, insuring that they would all become me. Ensuring that I’d live past the keyblade war to see what answers would lie beyond it. And to answer you final question, the keyblade war was a legendary conflict that took place many years ago. It is as my older self said, in ancient times, people believed that light was a gift from an unseen land by the name of Kingdom Hearts. But Kingdom Hearts was safeguard by its counterpart, the χ-blade. Warriors vied for that precious light, thus beginning the "Keyblade War". The violent clash shattered the χ-blade into twenty pieces—seven of light and thirteen of darkness. And only the real Kingdom Hearts was swallowed by the darkness, never to surface again.”
“So you want to forge this ‘χ-blade’ to find this kingdom, right?” asked Nightmare Moon.
“Precisely.”
“So how are we involved in any of this?” asked Discord.
“Like I said in the beginning, a little while ago I had gathered the thirteen seekers of darkness and had it set up so they would turn into me, but we were interrupted by some uninvited guests. But my older self ensured that the thirteen seekers of darkness would reunite again one day. But I found a way to enhance there power so we could become strong enough to easily over throw anyone who tries to intervene in my plan again.”
“And how did you manage that?”
“Most of the seekers of darkness are from recent time lines, time lines that are near enough for me to jump through and pull them into this time line. I found out that I could infuse people and things with darkness, greatly enhancing there power and speed. And I realized that if I could do that to most of the seekers of darkness, then I could make us stronger, and in the end make myself stronger as well, and that’s why I need your assistances. If we corrode as many worlds as possible with darkness, then I can infuse the seekers that are with me now with darkness, so that when we unite, I will become one with darkness.”
“Ah, so that’s your plan huh? So where are these seekers of darkness?”
“One of the seekers is right next to you, his name is Vanitus as previously stated, he is the darkness that was once trapped inside a boy named Ventus. He is quite a capable keyblade wielder, he will be a valuable ally to us.”
A dark creature born from someone else’s heart huh? I thought I was the only one like that. thought Nightmare Moon
“Although there not all of the seeker’s of darkness, most of the members I was able to assemble are here.”
Three dark portal open up and Ansem, Xemnas, and Xigbar walk out.
“Well, talk about drained of hope, couldn’t you have picked a place less depressing than here?” asked Xigbar rubbing the back of his head.
“These are second, third, fourth seekers of darkness, Ansem, Xemnas, and Xigbar.”
“What’s up?” said Xigbar grinning.
“Xigbar huh? Nice name.” said Discord trying to hold back a laugh.
“Yeah, and Discord isn’t a name that’ll get a kid beat up at the park.”
“Ah, touché.”
“Now, the six of you take as many unversed with you as you can and spread darkness to all worlds, understood?” said Xehanort
“Sure. Why not, it’ll be a nice change of pace since you guys had me dealing with keyblade wilders last time.”
The girls are in the waiting room each looking either anxious or nervous.
“Do you think Master Celestia is making the right choice enlisting those two?” asked Fluttershy.
“Well, I think it’s a mistake, but Master Celestia has never been wrong before. So who knows, they may or may not help us at all. It’s their choice.” Twilight said pacing back and forth.
Pinkie Pie however seemed impatient. “Oooh! I hope they hurry up in there! I want to see what their keyblades will look like! I’ll bet they’ll look totally awesome, like ours!”
“Shucks Pinkie, nothin’ ever worries ya huh?”
“Nope! Why should I be worried AppleJack?”
“Eh…never mind.”
“Okie dokie lokie!”
Rarity then stood up and walk towards the door. “Well, while you all wait for them to get out with Master Celestia, I’m going to make them new outfits. What they’re wearing is baggy and atrocious.”
“Okay, if they get out before you finish we’ll find you.” said Twilight.
“Right.”
-In the throne room-
“Now, before we get started, I want the two of you to know that acquiring a keyblade is an intense experience, and if you die in the station of awakening, you will die in this world too, so I want you two to be as careful as possible while in there okay?”
Both Rainbow Dash and I look at each other nervously.
“But if anything does go wrong, you can always get us out before we get killed right Master?” asked Rainbow Dash.
Celestia only shook her head. “I’m afraid not, the station of awakening is an unknown land, filled with magic that is beyond my knowledge and my understanding of magic. I can only send you there. I can’t bring you back, only you can do that once you have received your keyblades and completed your final test you both will arrive back here. Are you two ready?”
“Yes ma’am.” we both replied.
“Okay, now I want you two to close your eyes and concentrate. After you concentrate long and hard enough, the test will begin.”
Rainbow Dash and I close our eyes and we arrive at the station of awakening, only were in two separate stations.
-Rainbow Dash POV-
Rainbow Dash gently floats and lands on a stain glass blue stain glass with a rainbow colored finish around the edge and has her and me holding a keyblade in the center. Above Rainbow Dash’s head it shows Twilight, AppleJack, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, and Rarity.
“Huh? What does this mean?”
It seems you have a strong connection to many people, but it seems your connection with the boy is strong too, like a sister to her brother.
“Huh? I-I can hear a voice, but I don’t see anyone.”
The connections you have with the people in your life will make you stronger. Keep these connections close.
“Uh, sure I will.”
The door is still shut. Now, step forward. Can you do it?
“Uh, sure.” Rainbow Dash slowly and steadily walks forward until three pedestals with a sword, shield, and wand appear.
Power sleeps within you. If you give it form… it will give you strength. Choose well.
“Uh, right.” Rainbow Dash looks around and notices the shield and picks it up.
The power of the guardian. Kindness to aid friends. A shield to repel all. Is this the power you seek?
“If I’m going to protect that little spaz and our ‘new friends’ then yes, I’ll need this.”
The shield disappears.
Your path is set. Now, what will you give up in exchange?
“Hmm…” Rainbow Dash walks up to the wand and picks it up.
The Power of the Mystic. Inner strength. A staff of wonder and ruin. You give up this power?
“Yes, I’m not all that with magic and I don’t get how it works, so why keep what’ll hinder me.”
The wand disappears.
You’ve given up the power of the mystic. Is this the form you chose?
“The form? Sure, I guess.” the pedestals collapse and disappear and the stain glass she stood on began to shatter and she fell through. As she descended she saw another stain glass only it was purple and it had Princess Luna and Nightmare Moon in the center.
Rainbow Dash gently lands and her keyblade Soaring Loyalty appears in her hand.
You’ve been given the power to fight. You have chosen the path true to your heart. For your purity, you have received the keyblade. A marvelous weapon created to remove darkness and replace it with light. Use it to dispel the darkness.
“What does that mean?”
Dusks appear and surround Rainbow Dash.
“What the-?! What are those?”
Dusks are creatures that symbolize incompleteness, they’re beings that are the remains of those who have lost there hearts to darkness. What do you think they could symbolize for you?
There’s no time to think now, they’re ready to attack.
“Huh?”
A dusk twirls in the air and swings its arms towards Rainbow Dash trying to strike her. She skillfully blocks and swings at him slashing him in half. The other dusks quickly gang up on her and pin her to the ground. After a few seconds a huge flash of light appears under the dusks and after the light dies down only Rainbow Dash is left and she slowly stands up.
“Huh?”
It seems the light within you is strong, strong enough to fend off the incompleteness within you.
“What does that mean?!”
A door appears in the middle of the platform.
“Huh? Maybe that’s the way out.”
Rainbow Dash opens the door and is engulfed in a white light. Rainbow Dash shields her eyes and walks in. As the light dissipated Rainbow Dash looks around and sees that she’s back in the city.
“What the-?! Am I back? Is the test over?”
No, not yet anyway. The door won’t open just yet. First, tell me more about yourself.
“Uh, sure? What do you wanna know?”
AppleJack, Pinkie Pie and I appear in front of her.
“Hey Dave! Finally, a familiar face. How’s your test going?”
“Tell me the one thing that’s most important to you?”
“Huh? Odd time for questions, but okay. Um, the most important thing to me would have to be…my friendship with you and those other girls, even though they do come off as boring.”
“Friendship huh? Is that really so important?”
“You’re acting strange, ya know that?”
I vanish causing Rainbow Dash to jump slightly.
“What the-?! Oh right, the test is still going on, this isn’t real. That spaz is probably having a hard time choosing his weapon.” Rainbow Dash slightly laughed as she walked over to AppleJack. “So, what question do you have for me?”
“What do ya want most outta life?”
“Hmm…I’d have to say, to broaden my horizon. I was recently told there are a lot of worlds out there, and I wanna see them all.”
“To broaden yer horizon huh?”
AppleJack then vanishes and walks over to Pinkie Pie.
“Alright pink hair, what’s your question?”
“What are you afraid of?”
“Hmm…I’d have to say, getting old. Definitely.”
“Getting old? Is that really so scary?”
You want to be strong. You want to broaden your horizon. You’re afraid of getting old. The next part of your test is the last part, and it will also be the most intense. Keep a steady pace and you’ll come through fine.
“Sounds good to me.”
The day you and your friend will open the door is both very near and very far, but be careful, for darkness has its sights set on you and your friends, keep them close.
“Can do.”
Rainbow Dash reappears at the station of awakening and a bridge appears the left side of the stain glass leading to another stain glass platform.
Continue. For your story is very far from over.
“Right.” Rainbow Dash runs past the bridge and as she makes it to the second stain glass platform the bridge disappears and Twilight Thorn appears looking down upon her.
“Gah!! What the heck is that thing?!”
The light within you is strong indeed. But the incompleteness within you will always return until it’s been made whole. Like the body when it loses it’s heart, the body will try to replace it the first chance it get, the mind is no different.
“Th-The mind? Could the voice be talking about-”
Twilight Thorn raises it’s arms and Rainbow Dash is instantly suspended in mid air by shackles of energy binding her arms and legs. Twilight Thorn slithers up to her and pulls back his fist, and as he swings Rainbow Dash quickly shatters the binds and runs on Twilight Thorn’s arm and slashes it right in the face causing him to fall to the ground.
“D-Did I do it?”
Rainbow Dash cautiously walks up to Twilight Thorn as she approaches it summons multiple dusks and it slithers under the platform.
“So, he can spawn more huh? Ha! More fun for me!”
Rainbow Dash quickly and swiftly cuts down the newly spawned dusk’s and as soon as she finishes off the last one the platform beneath her begins to shake until it tilts completely causing her to fall, but she quickly stops herself by placing her keyblade into the platform.
“Woah, what the-?! YOWZA!” Rainbow Dash looks down and sees that Twilight Thorn had gathered energy into a massive ball and as it jumped off it caused Rainbow Dash to plummet. Taking advantage of situation, Twilight Dusk grips onto the energy ball and swings it towards Rainbow Dash, Rainbow Dash continues to plummet until she glows white and I appear and give her a boost up into the air. “D-David?”
“Come on, let’s finish him!” I shouted.
“Right!” Rainbow Dash and I throw our keyblades at the giant ball of energy causing it to burst open and knock Twilight Thorn back but Rainbow Dash’s Keyblade still falls down at great speed going straight through Twilight Thorn’s face killing it instantly. And as both Rainbow Dash and Twilight Thorn slowly drifted to the floor of another stain glass platform Twilight Thorn dissipates as she lands softly.
“Aw yeah! Now that’s awesome! Great job dude!” as Rainbow Dash looks around I’m gone.
“Where did he go?”
That was called a D-Link.
“A D-Link?”
Yes. A D-Link is a magic ability that only those with strong attachments with that other person can pull off. With it, you can either temporarily summon them, and you can even imitate there abilities and fighting styles.
“I see. That sounds like it’ll come in handy.”
You survived. But there are many more trials ahead of you in your life, find the incompleteness in your life and make your mind whole again.
“Right, but if you’re talking about that incident long ago…it might be hard.”
A door appears behind Rainbow Dash and she turns and faces it.
The test is complete, head through the door.
“Right.” Rainbow Dash opens the door and she becomes engulfed in light.
-David’s POV-
I slowly land on a black stain glass platform with a picture of Xehanort on it.
“Huh? Who the heck is that?”
Do you recognize the face you see below you?
“What the-?! A voice? Hmm, probably just a part of the test. But to answer your question, no. No I don’t.”
It seems he’s tied in with your past some how. Ties of darkness, or ties fate. Are you willing to seek the answers the worlds have in store? Even if it sinking into darkness?
“As long as Rainbow Dash is by my side, I don’t fear the darkness.”
The same sword, shield, and wand appear before me.
A path that holds many possible outcomes lay before you. It’s up to you to shape your destiny.
“Right.”
Now, pick which power you’d like to gain.
I walk up to the sword and hold it in my hand.
The Power of the Warrior. Invincible courage. A sword of terrible destruction. Is strength important?
“Yes, without strength I can’t protect anyone, and after RD helped me through out my life, I want to be there to help her.”
The sword disappears and becomes the Yin-Yang Keyblade.
You have been given the power to fight. Use it wisely, for the darkness can easily entice violence.
“Right, I know being a keyblade wielder is gonna be tough. But as long as RD is by my side, I don’t care.”
Ten shadows appear and they quickly circle me.
“What the-!? What are these things?”
They are called “shadows”. They represent the darkness in people’s hearts.
“I see, well they won’t stop me!”
A shadow jumps up and swings at me with its claws. I barely block it and slash it in half causing a heart to float up into the air.
“Hm?”
I watched the heart float up and while I was distracted a shadow jumps up and slashes me in the back causing me to fall flat on my face.
Ugh, oww… okay, note to self: Focus, or die.
I quickly jump up and take a swing at a shadow but it quickly dodges and jumps up and tries to slash at me. I block it and slash it in half. The rest of the shadows jump up in the air in the same time and try to bring there claws down on me. In fear, I block and a bright flash of light appears in front of me and causes the shadows to disappear. I slowly open my eyes and I see Rainbow Dash for a moment and she disappears.
“Was that-?”
It seems your bond with Rainbow Dash is so strong; you’ve even gained a D-Link with her.

“Heh, cool. It’s just like RD said. Even when we’re apart, our hearts keep us connected.”
A bridge appears the left side of the stain glass leading to another stain glass platform and I quickly cross the bridge and I notice a beam of light and I slowly approach it.
The closer you get to light, the greater your shadow becomes.
I slowly look at my shadow and it quickly faces me and rises up from the floor and grows in height and becomes Darkside.
But don’t be afraid. And don’t forget…
Darkside charges dark energy in his fist and punches the ground, forming a small pool of dark energy to form below it. I run up to his fist and try to slash it, but a shadow pops up from the dark pool and lunges at me. I quickly cut through the shadow and I make a second attempt to slash Darkside’s arm but three more shadows jump out and block my path. And as the two shadows attack Darkside lifts up his arm causing the dark pool to disappear.
“Great, so this thing can create the little punks! I gotta end this quick.” I quickly cut through the two shadows and charge at Darkside. Darkside slowly gets on his knees and fires dark energy balls at me.
“Aw, come on!!” I shout quickly dodging the dark projectiles. “I can barely touch this guy, but yet he can attack at the drop of a hat!”
As Darkside’s assault stops he leans forward appearing to be exhausted.
“Now’s my chance!” I activated my D-Link with Rainbow Dash and a larger keyblade appears between us and we immediately start slashing away at Darkside’s chest causing him to fall on top of me.
--But don’t be afraid.
I quickly try to squirm free of the darkness, but it quickly begins to shroud over my body.
You both hold the mightiest weapons of all.
I try to stand up but the darkness quickly pins me down.
So don’t forget.
I slowly close my eyes awaiting my fate, until a hand grabs mine, filling the platform with light.
The connections you have, will keep the darkness at bay.
-Back in Celestia’s throne room-
Rainbow Dash and I slowly open our eyes.
“W-Woah, that was, close.” I said panting for air.
“It sure was. But we did it.” said Rainbow Dash patting me on the back.
“Yes, you two have indeed passed. Take a look at your right hands.”
Rainbow Dash and I looked and noticed in shock that our keyblades were in our hands.
“You both have officially become keyblade wielders.”
“AWSOME!!” Rainbow Dash and I shouted jumping up and down.
“You two have done well, but I’m afraid it’s not over yet.”
“Yeah, we know. But don’t worry, we won’t fail.” said Rainbow Dash as we both gave Celestia a thumbs up.
“I know you two won’t. As long as the two of you work with the other girls, no one can defeat you. Now I want you two to go find them and get to know them better before you depart. As a team, you guys need to get used to each other as much as you can.”
“Yes ma’am!” we both replied.
“Good. You two are free to go.”
Me and Rainbow Dash walk out of the room talking about our keyblades.
Celestia remained on her throne deep in thought. “… I really don’t want to do this. Because if they find out they might think I don’t trust them. *sigh* But it’s better safe than sorry.” Celestia closes her eyes, concentrating hard until she appears in a white world and Yin Sid appears in front of her.
“Ah, Celestia. My oldest student. How are you and your sister?” Yen Sid asked with a smile.
“Not good, and it’s why I contacted you.” Celestia replied in a serious tone.
“Is there something wrong?”
“Yes, my sister was attacked last night by what she described a boy in a mask. And someone managed to free Discord and Nightmare Moon.”
“What?!” said Yen Sid wide eyed. “Hmm… a boy in a mask. That sounds very familiar…and I’m sure I don’t need to ask if you felt the dark fluxuations.”
“No, I felt them last night. Something big is going on.”
“Are your students looking into this matter?”
“They would’ve but there’s been a delay.”
“A delay? What happened?”
“I enlisted two new students to assist my current ones.”
“Hmm…I see, a smart move actually. With the darkness I’m feeling I don’t think those five alone will be able to stop this force.”
“Actually…I still don’t think they’re ready. There may be seven of them now, but remember, the two I enlisted just now became Keyblade wielders and I don’t think they’re ready.”
“I see…I know what to do.”
“What is it master?”
“I’ll send my students in to help you.”
“Do you mean, Sora, Riku, and Mickey?”
“Yes, but not only them. Just like you Celestia, I’ve also taken up a new student.”
“Really?! Who is he?”
“His name is Lea.”
“Lea?”
“Yes. Just like your two keyblade wielders, he too has just become a wielder.”
“I see. Thank you for your support master.”
“You’re welcome old friend. Farewell for now.”
Yen Sid reappears in his castle slowly opening his eyes. “Sora, Riku, Mickey, Lea.”
“Yes master Yen Sid!” replied Riku and Sora.
“What’s up master Sid?” said Lea casually.
“My old student Celestia and her students need your help.”
“Celestia? Who’s she?” asked Sora.
“She’s a princess who guards a land called Equestria. A world known for being the birthplace of light, it’s a rare world where no matter how hard you search, you won’t find the tiniest shred of darkness.
“Woaaah, cool!” replied Sora with a childish smile.
“But long before she became a princess, she became my very first student. Long before you Mickey.”
“Gosh, that’s pretty amazing.”
“Yes, I taught her everything I knew and each day her magic became more and more powerful until her magic surpassed mine.”
“WOAH!! Her magic surpassed yours?!” replied everyone in the room.
Yen Sid chuckled slightly. “Yes, her magic is now so powerful, she’s able to raise the sun. Something not even I can do.”
“That’s awesome!” shouted Sora.
“So what’s wrong master Yen Sid?”
“It seems that Celestia, like me has sensed dark fluxuations throughout the worlds, and she gathered up her students to prepare them for the coming threat. But, it seems she does not think her students are capable of dealing with the threat alone. Which is where you four come in.”
“So, we’re going to Princess Celestia’s castle to team up with her students?”
“Yes Sora, I’ll have you all depart for the castle tomorrow. So be ready.”
“Yes sir!” replied Sora, Riku, and Mickey.
“Heh, an adventure huh?” smiled Lea. “Sounds like fun.”
“King Mickey!” shouted Donald and Goofy. “We’re going with you!”
“Aw shucks, thanks guys you really are good friends.” smiled Mickey.
-In Radiant Garden-
Discord and Xigbar are standing on a stone walkway looking over the town.
“So, shall we get this party started?” asked Xigbar.
“Sounds good to me.”
“Unversed! Run wild!”
As soon as Xigbar finished his sentence, unversed immediately appear from under him and Discord and they begin there assault on the town. As the unversed tore through the town Discord began laughing uncontrollably.
“AHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Ah Xigbar, I think this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.”
“If you say so. I just hope our little party catches the attention of the foes Xehanort was going on about.”
“Oh don’t worry, if our enemies are who I think they are then this’ll definitely catch there eye. Oh and by the way, where is Xehanort anyway?”
“I’m not sure, said something about “taking care of some lose ends” whatever that means.”
-In Shibuya-
Xehanort, Nightmare Moon, and Vanitus appear on top of Tipsy Tose Hall.
“Why are we here?” asks Vanitus in an annoyed tone. “Just look at this world, it’s boring and pointless.”
“Nonsense Vanitus. I actually needed to come here. I made a deal with a boy in this world and I intend to repay him for a job well done.” said Xehanort with an evil smile.
“Whatever.”
“So, what’s the plan Xehanort?”
“Simple Nightmare Moon, I’m going to lure out the child by unleashing the unversed in this town. And when the boy appears to try and stop the unversed, I’ll kill him. While the two of you just go around town and cause as much destruction as you can.”
“Yes sir.” replied Vanitus. “At least there’s something for me to do.” Vanitus opened a portal and walked through and as he disappeared the unversed rose up from the floor of the roof and they jumped off the roof and quickly began destroying Shibuya.
“Ah, such lovely destruction. It warms my heart to see such carnage and fear.”
“I agree.” said Nightmare Moon smiling at Xehanort.
“Now go, I’ll need you to cause some panic too. The more destruction, the more darkness spreads into this world.”
Nightmare Moon quickly snapped out of her trance. “U-Uh, right. Of course.” A dark portal appeared behind her and she quickly walked through.
“Now then, lets get re-acquainted, Neku Sakuraba.”

Xehanort attacks! The fight for Shibuya and Raident Garden!
“So, what do you want to do next Rainbow?” I asked holding my hands behind my head. “Do you either wanna eat, or get to know the team first?”
“Hmm…well, I am hungry. Maybe we should grab a bite before we-”
“Hey! Over here!” shouted Pinkie Pie waving her hand.
“Welp, looks like we have a change of plans.” said Rainbow Dash with a disappointed look on her face.
Pinkie Pie runs up to me and Rainbow Dash shakes our hands vigorously. “Hi! My name is Pinkie Pie, it’s nice to meet you two, I hope we can get along and put that fight we had in town behind us! Because I’m sure you guys were just trying to help each other and you guys probably had some good intentions but still it was an order from Princess Celestia herself so we had to anyway! But seriously I hope we become the BEST of friends!”
Rainbow Dash and I were astonished at how Pinkie Pie was able to fit all of that in one breath. It was definitely a sight to behold.
“Uhh…yeah, anyway do you know where we can get something to eat around here?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Yup! The royal chiefs now how to prepare an awesome meal! Come on, let’s go!”
‘If the castle itself is massive, just imagine the dining area.’ I whispered to Rainbow Dash.
‘Yeah, let’s just hope the food here is good too.’
Pinkie Pie leads us to the dinning hall where the food was already prepared and laid out across the table. It contained many foods of different type’s fruit, meat, vegetable, and dessert of all kinds.
“Woah!” both Rainbow Dash and I exclaimed.
“Look at all that food!” said Rainbow Dash.
“I know! So can we eat?”
“Sure! Just take a seat and enjoy! ...Oh! Actually, can you guys not eat yet? I wanna go get the others! We can get to know each other over lunch!”
“Sure, sounds great to me.” I said.
“Just please hurry, I’m starving.” said Rainbow Dash holding her stomach.
“Don’t worry, I’ll be back in a jiffy!” said Pinkie Pie with unwavering mirth as she left the room in a quick blur.
“Well, at least we’ll be killing two birds with one stone.” I said taking a seat.
“Yeah, we get a great lunch and we’ll be bonding with our new friends. How could it get any easier?”
“I’m baaack!♪” sung Pinkie Pie as she bounced into the room with the rest of the main 6 walking in behind her and they quickly took there seats.
“So, you guys were able to get your keyblades?” asked Twilight.
“Yup, it wasn’t easy but we were able to pull it off.” replied Rainbow Dash with her signature confident smile.
“That’s good to hear. By the way, my name is Rarity. It’s nice too meet you two.”
“Nice to meet you too. My name’s David”
“And my name’s Rainbow Dash.”
“My name is Twilight Sparkle, and this is AppleJack and Fluttershy.” Twilight said pointing to the respective person.
“Howdy!”
“H…Hi.”
“What’s up with her?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Oh it’s nothing. She’s normally shy.”
‘Which explains the name but also raises another question,’ I said whispering to Rainbow Dash. ‘How the heck did she become a keyblade wielder if the test was anything like what we had to go through?’
Rainbow Dash only shrugged as Pinkie Pie and the royal chiefs entered the room with plates filled to the brim with food.
“Alright!” Rainbow Dash and I cheered as the chiefs placed the plates in front of everyone.
“Thank you for the food!” everyone replied as the chiefs took there leave.
As everyone began to eat AppleJack was the first to break the silence with a question. “So, if ya both don’t mind me askin’ why were the two of ya stealin’ from the merchant in town earlier?”
“Well…the thing is, the two of us lost our homes and families long ago.” I said. “We both met after stealing from the same food cart. We helped each other escape from the royal guards and the next thing we knew we became friends.”
“Yup, good time dude. Good times.”
“Can you really call it good times?” asked Twilight. “I mean, having to steal to survive?”
“Well, some days are better than others. Besides, we were able to help others who were just like us, so that was a good thing.” said Rainbow Dash.
“Exactly, when you live a life like that you can’t waist your time thinking on the negatives.”
“I guess you’re right.”
“But what about you guys though, tell us about yourselves.” said Rainbow Dash.
“Well Twi here was Celestia’s first student and she’s almost mastered th’ keyblade, she enlisted me when I was just roamin’ around Canterlot. She said I had hiddin’ talent that she wanted to put t’ good use. So I accepted and became her student, it sure is hard masterin’ th’ keyblade though.”
“Don’t worry AppleJack, you’ll get it eventually. Just hang in there.” said Rarity.
“Thanks.”
“That reminds me.” I said. “How did Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy become keyblade wielders. Including you Rarity, you three don’t seem like the battle type.”
“Well Fluttershy was enrolled because Princess Celestia said that she wanted to help her with her low self esteem but she also said Fluttershy had hidden potential that needed help getting free, so she decided to take her under her wing.” explained Twilight.
“I see, so how good are you with a keyblade?” Rainbow Dash asked Fluttershy.
“Uh…I-I wouldn’t say I’m good, I guess I’m…ok.”
“Aw come on, give yourself some credit. I’m sure you’re not that bad.” I said.
“Yeah, you gotta have more confidence in yourself.” said Rainbow Dash.
“Well, I…uh.”
“Alright let’s not crowed the girl, Pinkie Pie I do believe it’s your turn.” said Rarity.
“YAY! Okay, so one day I moved into Canterlot a few months ago and Princess Celestia said that I had potential to becoming a great hero! So I was all like, “Woah! Ya mean it?!” and she was all like, “Mhm.” So I was all like “Hip! Hip! Hooray!” so I went to the castle to become her student and that’s when I met Twilight, AppleJack, Fluttershy, and Rarity! And since then we’ve been the best of friends and when we’re not training, we’re hanging out! I just love my life here! It’s soooo awesome!”
Once again, Rainbow Dash and I found ourselves dumbfounded on how Pinkie Pie is able to fit so many words in one breath like that.
‘Hey Twilight, how does Pinkie Pie do it?’ I whispered.
‘Do what?’
‘Say all those words without taking a break or even inhaling?’
Twilight let out a soft giggle. ‘We have no idea. It’s just Pinkie Pie being Pinkie Pie.’
“It’s your turn Rarity!” said Pinkie Pie.
“Right, well I own a boutique shop and I decided I could be a keyblade master to increase publicity for my shop. So I contacted Princess Celestia and she thought it’d be a good idea for me become a master.”
“Really? No offence, but why would she think a boutique owner would make it being a keyblade master?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Well, just like AppleJack and Pinkie, she said she saw potential in me and thought it was great that I wanted training to become a master.”
“Hmm… hidden potential huh?” I asked. “Makes me wonder what you guys can really do.”
“Well, I’m not one to brag but once were on the field you’ll see how good we are.” said Twilight
-In the Castle Recovery Room-
Celestia walks into the patient room and quickly walks up to Luna.
“Lu, I’m glad you’re okay. What happened between you and the masked boy?”
“I-It was just a small sneak attack Tia, there’s no need to worry.”
“You can’t hide this from me Luna, I can feel your pain. You have nothing to hide from me. Please, tell me what happened.”
“Well, it had started an hour after I had raised the moon and set the stars…”
-Flashback (Because let’s face it. Well all know you guys want to see Vanitus go up against Luna.)-
In Luna’s throne room, Luna had just returned from raising the moon and as she takes her seat her royal elite guard, Shadow Spear approach her.
“Greetings princess, how did raising the moon go?”
“It was perfect, not a single star out of place.”
“No surprise there your majesty. Every night you raise the moon and its perfect, I can’t even imagine you making a mistake.” as Shadow Spear finished his statement he bowed.
Princess Luna blushed at such a complement. As soon as Luna was about to say something a black portal opened before the two and a boy walks out of the portal. The boy is wearing a smooth helmet completely black with an Unversed insignia emblazoned on it. His torso and legs are also covered by a black bodysuit, with faintly glowing white highlights on the chest. The material over his arms shifts in color from black to grey to white, before shifting to black again on the palms of his hands. His boots are white with black soles. He also wears a white, skirt-like garment with black tips around his waist, held up by several grey straps. “Aw, well isn’t that precious.” said Vanitus. “A spoiled princess getting her pride stroked by her lap dog. How pathetic.”
Shadow Spear quickly unsheathed his sword and pointed it to Vanitus. “And just who are you intruder?!”
“Oh please. Like I need to explain myself to the likes of you.” Vanitus slowly raised his hand in front of him and his keyblade Void Gear appears in his hand. “But if it’s a fight you want, then come and get it.”
In a blur Shadow Spear dashed towards Vanitus and swung his sword. But Vanitus was not only able to parry the attack he also quickly kicked Shadow Spear into the wall with such force he almost broke completely through.
“I-I’m sorry, y-your highness.” He muttered before passing out.
“Was that really it? Man you are worthless.” Vanitus then slowly walked towards Luna. “Now ‘princess’ are you gonna come quietly, or does this get ugly?”
“You…YOU DARE ENTER MY THRONE ROOM, ATTACK MY GUARD, AND EXPECT ME TO SURREDER TO YOU!?!?” Luna boomed using her Royal Canterlot Voice.
Vanitus slightly flinched but quickly took his fighting pose. “Nice vocals, too bad when I’m done with you, you won’t even be able to open that spoiled mouth of yours.”
“You will pay for this!” Luna then pulled out her keyblade Midnight Princess and charged at Vanitus.
As there keyblades clashed the two moved around the room with such speed they could only be seen for a split second before turning invisible. Vanitus quickly fired a white fireball towards Luna’s face, but she quickly knocked it to the side and slammed her keyblade into Vanitus’ causing him to plummet to the floor. Vanitus quickly landed on his feet and as he looked up Luna had a cluster of balloons in front of her.
“What the-?! What is this? A five year olds birthday party?”
Luna only smiled as her unsuspecting target had no idea of her plan. Luna swung her keyblade down and the balloons began to ricochet all over the room. They slowly began to pick up the pace that would startle most, but Vanitus stood in one place, unmoved, uncaring.
“If you’re trying to intimidate me, then I’m afraid it’s not going to work. And don’t think I don’t know this spell, its balloonra, a spell where you use balloons to knock your opponent into the air. I don’t know who came up with this ridiculous spell, but I can sure you it won’t-GRAH!!” Vanitus’ speech was cut short as a balloon hit him directly in the back, but the hit was far from what he had expected the impact was just from compact air, it also had…an electric shock? ‘Wh-What the hell?’ Vanitus’ thoughts were soon interrupted as Luna instantly appeared in front of him and smacked him on the side of his head with her keyblade knocking into another balloon. But as Vanitus made impact with the balloon all the other balloons quickly made there way to him and hit him at the exact same time, causing a powerful burst of wind and lightning to fill the room. Vanitus then made a loud crash sound as he made impact with the floor. Instead getting up like Luna expected Vanitus stayed on the floor, seemingly lifeless.
Luna carefully and cautiously approached Vanitus. “And now, to finish this.” Luna raised her keyblade and prepared to strike until Vanitus instantly swung his keyblade back and knocked Luna square on the forehead causing her to hit the floor.
“You’re a persistent little brat I’ll give you that.” said Vanitus as he slowly began to stand up. “You mixed in the thundaga spell as soon as you hit that first balloon. Now I would’ve believed that one of your little balloons had lightning inside of it, but for you to hit one balloon and have that spell quickly take over the other balloons plus the fact you were able to hide the second spell from me is actually impressive, perhaps I did misjudge you.” Vanitus then kneeled down to Luna. “But that doesn’t matter now, this fight is over. Sleep tight, princess.”
-End of Flashback-
“After that I blacked out, and when I woke up I was here but I felt completely drained.”
‘That masked boy. For him to be able to overpower Luna like that, how is that even possible? Now I have even more doubts. No no! I can’t think like that Master Yen Sid’s students are gonna help them all. I have to stay positive.’
“A-Are you alright Tia?”
“Hm? Oh! Y-Yes I’m fine, just lost in thought. But I’m very proud of you for what you’ve done against the boy, you improved.”
“Thank you Tia.”
“No problem. Now then, I’ll leave you to rest, but make sure you visit Shadow Spear in your free time. But then again, you didn’t need me to tell you. I’m sure you were gonna visit him anyway.”
Luna blushed madly at the statement. “G-Goodbye sister!”
Celestia couldn’t help but laugh as she made her way out the door.
-Inside Yen Sid’s castle-
“Now then, I want the five of you to remember, the forces of evil are converging and if fail to work as a team with Celestia’s students none of you will last long in this fight and remember to back your teammates up when needed.”
“Yes Sir Master Yen-Sid!” replied the five.
“Now, Sora, Donald, and Goofy. I have something that the three of you may enjoy greatly.” Yen Sid raised his right hand and the Gummy Ship appears outside the window.
“Woaaah!” shouted Sora, Donald, and Goofy in glee.
“Master! You still have the gummy ship?! That’s awesome!” shouted Sora.
“Well after your trip to defeat Xemnas, it was in pretty bad shape. It took me a little while to repair it, but I think the results are satisfactory.”
“So, that thing can fly?” asked Lea full of doubt.
“Of course it can! We don’t call it the Gummy Ship for nothing you know!” said Donald.
“Heh, well if it can get us to our destination, then I don’t care.”
“Where is our destination Master?”
“Fear not Riku, when you all prepare to leave I will open a portal to Celestia’s castle.”
“Right, we’ll leave immediately sir. Let’s go everybody!” said Mickey.
“Right!” replied everyone as they jumped into the ship.
As the Gummy Ship began to ascend the portal opened up and quickly shot the Gummy Ship through.
“Good luck to you all.”
-In Celestia’s Throne Room-
“So, have you all gotten to know each other a little more?” asked Celestia.
“Yes ma’am. We were able to talk over lunch.” said Twilight.
“I’m glad. Now then we should-”
Celestia was then cut off by one of her guards.
“Your highness! Master Yin-Sid’s apprentices have arrived!”
“Thank you. Please send them in.”
“At once your highness.”
The guard quickly ran out of the room.
“Now, I want all of you to be on your best behavior. Okay?”
“Yes ma’am!” replied everyone.
The doors opened and the guard led Sora and the gang in front of Celestia.
“Hi!” said Sora. “Are you Princess Celestia?”
“Yes I am. And you must be Sora. Master Yen-Sid has told me a lot about you. And I assume you’re Riku, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and his new apprentice Lea?”
“Heh, not bad. The lady knows her stuff.” said Lea. “And I assume the seven of you are her students huh?”
“Yes sir. My name is Twilight and these are my friends Fluttershy, AppleJack, Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Rainbow Dash, and David.”
“H-Hi.”
“Howdy!”
“How do you do?”
“Hi!”
“Hey.”
“Yo!”
Mickey walks up to Twilight and holds out his hand. “It sure is nice to meet other keyblade wielders out there.”
Twilight shook Mickey’s hand. “Likewise”
Pinkie Pie squealed and picked Mickey up. “This talking mouse is soooo cute! ♪”
“Woah! Hey! Put me down!” said Mickey desperately trying to escape the pink haired girls grasp.
“So what’s the situation princess?” asked Riku.
“Well, it’s like I told my students. Dark forces are converging together and there have been many dark fluxuations, which I’m sure your master has told you about already.”
“Yes ma’am!” replied Goofy. “So, what do we do your highness?”
“I do have an idea. The twelve of you will be split into two teams so you can eliminate the darkness faster and more effectively.”
“Great idea!” said Rainbow Dash. “So who’s team one and who’s team two?”
“Hmm…team one will be Sora, David, Twilight, Riku, Goofy, and Pinkie Pie.”
“Alright Riku, we’re on the same team!”
“Heh, yeah.”
“And team two will be King Mickey, Donald, Fluttershy, Lea, AppleJack, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash.”
“So, where do we head to?” asked Lea. “It’s not like we’ve got a tracker on us or anything.”
“Actually. I have a tracker right here.” said Celestia as she pulled out two radars. “These radars have been made to detect darkness. You can use these to track the dark fluxuations and try to stop them from getting too strong.” Celestia then used her magic to levitate the two radars to Lea and Twilight.
“Cool! Thanks master.” said Twilight.
“You’re welcome.”
“Hold on! I just thought of something! How are we gonna get from world to world? The Gummy Ship is too small to hold ALL of us, and we’ve been split into two groups anyway!” said Sora.
“No need to worry Sora, I have another means of transportation for your team. Please take a look outside.”
Everyone walks to the window Celestia’s point to and they see an airship slowly fly into view.
“Woooooah.”
“I thought you guys would like it. I call it, the Harmony Carrier.”
“It looks slow.” said Lea.
“You’ll see its speed when you leave. I wish you all the best of luck.”
“Thank you ma’am!” everyone replied.
Everyone walks out of the castle grounds and approaches the Gummy Ship. The Harmony Carrier quickly flew next to the Gummy Ship and a rope ladder unraveled from the side.
“Woah, not bad. But I bet the Gummy Ship is faster.” said Lea grinning.
“So you’re saying you wanna race?” I said grinning.
“Heh, yeah, let’s go.”
“Hold on you two, this isn’t the time for games. We’ve gotta find Princess Celestia’s portal that leads out of here.” said Twilight.
“Don’t worry Twilight, all we’ve gotta do is get into our air ships and fly towards the portal first. It’s easy, it won’t hinder us. So, what do you say Lea?”
“Sounds good to me. The first one to the portal wins.”
“Alright! Let’s do it!”
Pinkie Pie walks up to Fluttershy and gives her Rarity, AppleJack, and Rainbow Dash a hug. “Bye guys. I hope we meet up again soon.”
“Don’t worry darling, we’ll meet up soon. It won’t be too long.” said Rarity.
“Yeah, don’t worry Pinkie, when you’re ready, just tell the captain that you want to meet us somewhere. I’m sure we can do that.” said Fluttershy.
Pinkie Pie instantly perked up and smiled. “Yeah! You’re right! I’ll do just that! Thanks guys!”
“No prob Pinkie just take care.” said AppleJack.
“Will do!” Pinkie Pie bounced back to the group.
“So, this is it huh Dash?” I asked.
“Looks like it. You gonna be ok?”
“Yeah, I guess. Take care and remember, if you need help, just call us.”
“Heh, will do.”
Rainbow Dash and I hug each other and head off to our respective air ships.
-In the gummy ship-
Rainbow Dash was the last one in and she was impressed with the way it looked on the inside along with AppleJack, Rarity, and Fluttershy.
“So, you’re done saying your farewells to your boyfriend?” asked Lea taking a seat on the pilot chair.
“He’s not my boyfriend.”
“Then who is he?”
“My friend, but we grew up together, so to me he’s like a little brother.”
Lea then started to remember his time with Roxas. “Heh, I know how you feel. But now, let’s get ready for the race!”
-In the Harmony Carrier-
I climbed up the ladder and walked towards the pilot room where everyone was gathered and everyone looked like they were ready to depart.
“Alright, so who’s flying this thing?” I asked.
“Sora should, he’s used to flying the Gummy Ship, so he should pilot here too.” said Goofy.
“Cool, no complaints from me.” I said taking a seat. “So, have you figured out the controls Sora?”
“Kinda. It’s slightly harder than the Gummy Ship but, I think I got it.”
The Gummy Ship and the Harmony Carrier slowly lift into the sky and there engines slowly activate.
“Alright! Ready!?” Lea asked.
“Yeah, 3”
“2”
“1”
“GO!!!”
Both ships take off at blinding speed passing through the portal and both ships are whipped through time and space.
-With the Gummy Ship-
The Gummy Ship stops over Radiant Garden and it slowly descends.
“Heh, I wasn’t so bad for a first time pilot after all. So did we pass the gate first?”
“I-I honestly don’t know. I-I was to busy hanging on for dear life.” said Mickey slowly getting up from his seat.
AppleJack unbuckled along with Rarity and they were also dizzy from there flash trip across worlds. “Th-That was one heck of a ride huh Rar?”
“I wouldn’t say that. My hair was messed up during the flight.” Rarity tried her best to fix it before leaving the ship.
“Hey Fluttershy, you ready to-” AppleJack stopped dead sentence noticing Fluttershy was holding onto her seat for dear life. Her fingers were almost inside her chair. “Uh, Fluttershy? You okay?”
“H-H-Have w-w-we st-stopped y-y-yet?”
“Don’t worry Fluttershy, It’s all right.”
Fluttershy slowly released her grip on the chair and stands up but her knees are still knocking together.
“Hey! What’s the hold up in there?!” yelled Donald causing Fluttershy to scream and run out of the ship knocking poor Donald over completely.
AppleJack helped Donald onto his feet. “You okay Donald?”
“Wh-What’s her problem?” Donald asked trying to shake his dizziness away.
“She scares very easily.” said Rarity. “And after our little flight, I can’t say I blame her.”
“Hey! I wasn’t THAT bad of a pilot! I think I did a pretty decent job!”
“A decent job? Ha! The entire ride here was bumpy at best.” said Rainbow Dash.
“Bah! Everyone’s a critic these days!”
“Guys. Knock it off for a sec would’ja?” said Mickey in a calm tone.
“Why’s that?” asked Fluttershy. (when she rejoined the group is anyone’s guess)
“We’ve got company.”
Unversed appear all around the team ready to attack. The group pulls out there keyblades, before they could attack Discord and Xigbar appear behind the Unversed.
“Well, well, well…look who we’ve got here.” said Discord.
“Four girls, a mouse, a duck, and a traitor. Sounds like a good catch to me.”
“Alright you two. Call of these…things and just fight us fair and square.” said Lea.
“Fighting fair is boring, it’s more fun to test your enemy’s stamina before fighting. It gives the battle that extra boost in drama.”
“So, it’s true you were freed huh Discord?” said AppleJack.
“Oh yes, and it feels amazing being free!”
“And unfortunately for you kids, this battle’s gonna be your last.”
-With the Harmony Carrier-
The Harmony Carrier stops above Shibuya and slowly makes its landing.
“So, was anyone able to tell if we got through first?” I asked.
Everyone replied with a ‘No’ as Sora parked the Carrier.
“So, where are we anyway?” asked Goofy.
“I’m…not sure.” said Sora.
“What about you Twilight? You said you studied a lot, have you ever read about this place?” I asked.
“No, not really. Anyone’s guess is as good as yours.”
“Heads up! We’ve got company!” yelled Riku pulling out his keyblade.
Unversed surrounded the group as the rest pulled out there keyblades.
“What are they?” asked Riku.
“They sorta look like heartless.” said Sora.
“Heartless?” asked Twilight.
“We’ll explain later.” said Riku.
Xehanort appears behind the unversed.
“What the-?! It’s you!” shouted Sora.
“I thought we already took care of you.” said Riku.
“Foolish children, like you could ever really best me.”
“Tell us why you’re here.”
“Simple really, I found a way to make most of the Seekers of Darkness more powerful. So that when we all become Xehanort his power over the darkness will be legendary.”
“We’ll stop you!” said Twilight.
“Hmph, so you say. But let’s just see how far those words will get you.” Xehanort opens a portal and walks in.
“Come on guys, these…things have to be taken care of!” said Riku.
“Right!” replied everyone ready to attack but just before anyone could swing at an Unversed three beams of light appear and destroy the Unversed.
“What was that?” I asked.
“Look!” shouted Sora pointing at a boy falling from the sky.
The boy landed in front of us revealing himself to be Neku Sakuraba.
“Hello again, Sora.”
