The Broken Station

It was a stormy night in Canterlot City and everyone is trying to get home safely. But with the crazy storm happening it was almost impossible to dodge. But everyone managed to get out of the rain and into there homes. But the rain was still falling down hard and lightning came and struck on the train station! It continued til all it was is a pile of burned rubbish.

The next morning we see seven girls with their principal coming to the train station because she has assigned them for something special.

"All right girls. Now this assignment I'm giving you is to write down everything you see on your vacation to Maretopia. So make sure you don't write anything inappropriate." Celestia said.

"No problem Principal Celestia. We will write down all the things we did in this vacay report." Twilight stated.

Celestia smiled as she can always count on her star student. Everyone continued heading to the train station. But when they got there they gasped in horror! The station was all destroyed and the trains kept going like they can't see where to stop anymore and the passengers tried to catch the trains but missed.

"Oh dear. The train station is destroyed. How did this happen?" Celestia asked.

"I'll tell you." A firefighter said as he came to them. "The storm from last night came and destroyed it. We managed to rescue the person that works here but he's in the hospital now. we are hoping to call the construction crew to come fix it but the last time I called them their boss said that their on vacation."

"WHAT?!" The Main Seven said in unison.

"But we have a vacation report to do! Is there anyway to get the station fixed there?!" Rarity panicked.

"Sorry ma'am. Until the crew returns the station is off limits and won't be fixed for a while. Unless you can hire another construction crew that can help." The firefighter suggested.

"Well thank you for letting us know. Come on girls. Back to the school." Celestia said.

So everyone headed back to the school but with gloomy looks on there faces.

At Canterlot High and everyone is doing good in their classes. But today wasn't really a special day for the Mane Seven considering that the train station got busted and aren't able to go to Maretopia for their report they sat in the principal's office with Celestia in hopes of finding an answer to fix the station. But so far there was nothing.

"Sorry girls. I can't seem to find a phone number for a construction crew." Celestia said.

"So that's it? We fail because of the storm that destroyed the station?" Twilight asked.

"No. I'll just keep looking til I find someone who can get the job done." Celestia answered.

"You say that now but what if you can't find a construction crew?" Rainbow wondered.

Celestia frowned and choose not to answer that. She kept on looking through the phonebook and after a few hours the Rainbooms started to fall asleep and began resting. Even Celestia herself was getting a little tired. But then her prayers were finally answered as she found something in the phonebook. There was a picture of a man wearing a construction outfit smiling big and has a phone number with the name Bob the Builder on it. Celestia smiled and knew what to do.

"Girls! Wake up! I believe I found someone who can help rebuild the train station!" Celestia said.

The girls all woke up and smiled in excitement.

"You found someone?! That's great to hear Principal Celestia! So who's the person that can help rebuild the train station?" Applejack asked.

"Well according to the phonebook this man is named Bob the Builder. Bob and his group help with renovations, construction, and repairs and with other projects as needed. And we have his phone number here. So he'll be perfect for the job." Celestia explained.

"Perfect! If Bob and his crew can fix the station then we are off to Maretopia for our vacation! And to also write our reports on what we see." Pinkie said with glee.

"Wait. Where is his crew? He honestly can't get the job done by himself." Rainbow wondered.

"Maybe they bring whatever tools they need and ride on the machines they use to get here?" Fluttershy said.

"Don't worry. Here's the names of his crew. They are Scoop who has a habit of making jokes, and assists Bob in being in charge whenever extra help is needed. Scoop can be sometimes bossy and sarcastic, but he is very kind and caring to others. Muck who sometimes gets very clumsy for certain things and is especially fond of getting dirty hence the name. Dizzy who happens to be the second youngest member of the team. Roley who is always energetic and very rowdy. He often acts before he thinks (sometimes due to his heavy weight), which could lead to trouble. He also has a pet bird. Lofty who lacks the confidence shown by the others. He is hesitant and cowardly, but with the encouragement of the team comes through in the end. Despite his nervousness, he is a loyal friend and always gets his work done. And finally we have Benny who was hired by Robert to help him out in Bobsville while the team were in Sunflower Valley, and even helped them out on a few jobs. He looks up to Scoop and calls him "Big Banana." Celestia explained.

"Oh. Well those are all nice names Celestia. So do you think that this construction crew can get the job done?" Rarity hoped.

"With ours on vacation and with no other option I say we have to try. After all without the train station all the passengers won't get to where they need to be and will be extremely disappointed. So I say that Bob the Builder is our only chance." Celestia replied.

"All right. Let's call him." Sunset nodded.

Celestia picked up the phone and dialed the number in and waited for someone to answer.

The Call and Help is On The Way

View Online

It was a bright sunny day in a place called Bobsville. Here was the home of the handyest man around: Bob the Builder. We zoom inside one of the houses and we see a man in a construction outfit and resting on the couch watching some TV. He was Bob the Builder.

"Whew! What an amazing train show. I better see what the gang is up to today. I think they are doing something fun today." Bob said as he turned off he TV and walked out the door.

Outside we see six machines moving and grooving like trains. They were making train sounds and having a great time. Then they saw Bob come out of the door and smiled.

"Morning team. What are you all doing?" Bob asked.

"We were pretending to be like trains. It's really fun. But anyways what are we doing today?" Scoop answered.

"I'm not sure. But this game sound absolutely fun and......" Bob said but then heard his phone go off. "Oh excuse me guys I gotta take this."

Bob took out his phone and answered the call.

"Hello. Bob's Building Yard." Bob started.

He heard another voice on the other line and listened to everything it said.

"What's that? The train station is destroyed? And it needs fixing? Well no worries ma'am we'll be right over." Bob finished as he hung up.

"Who was that Bob?" Dizzy asked.

"That was a woman named Principal Celestia. She said that one of the train stations is completely destroyed and needs fixing." Bob answered.

"Oh. Well we can sure fix that." Muck assured.

"I'm sure we will. But I think I better give Travis a call so that way we extra help." Bob said.

He took out his phone and called Farmer Pickles to see if Travis is available to help the crew. And sure enough a turquoise tractor arrived. He was Travis. Now Travis is generally mature and smart. He always has a quick-witted comment to give. He's very caring to others and is very headstrong and hardworking. He is both very busy and very helpful. Sometimes Travis can be sort of insecure, such as when he thinks he cannot use his plough blade to dig across the field. He smiled at Bob and prepared to hear today's assignment.

"Hi Bob. I hear that a train station needs repairing. Well I can sure help you." Travis said.

"That great Travis. We'll need all the help we can get. Alright team! Let's get going!" Bob replied.

"Can we fix it?" Scoop asked.

"YES WE CAN!!!" Everyone said in unison.

"Um. Yeah. I think so." Lofty said.

And soon Bob hopped on Scoop and they began making their way to the location where Celestia said on the phone. And the others were following behind.

At the wrecked train station we see the Mane Seven and Celestia waiting for Bob and his crew to arrive. Then after five minutes they see him and his crew coming in their direction. They smiled seeing that help has arrived and stood up seeing them. Then they stopped in front of them and Bob hopped off Scoop.

"Hello. You must be Bob the Builder I called." Celestia said.

"Yes. Bob's the name and building's my game." Bob answered.

"Were glad you're here. We really need your help. The train station is seriously damaged and we hope you and your crew can fix it. Hey where is your crew?" Sunset asked.

"Not to worry. They are right here! Meet Scoop, Muck, Dizzy, Lofty, Roley, Benny and Travis." Bob introduced.

"Hi there." They all said in unison.

"Ahh! Those machines can talk?! I thought that there was people coming!" Fluttershy said scared.

"Hey don't worry. We ain't gonna hurt you. We just came here cause were Bob's team. Now about this train station?" Lofty said.

"Oh right. Well it's right there. Or used to be right there." Celestia pointed out.

Bob and the crew saw all the damage that the station has taken and Bob was in shock seeing this.

"Oh my goodness. Yeah this station is in really bad shape. How did it get so badly damaged?" Bob asked.

"Well a storm last night came and wrecked it. And now without it the trains won't stop and all the passengers won't get to where they want to go for vacation. Do you think that you and your crew can fix it?" Celestia wondered.

"No worries. We'll have it fixed in no time!" Bob replied.

"Thank you Bob. We'll be going to Sunset's house for a little hangout. We'll be checking on you through the phone. You'll let us know when it's all fixed?" Twilight hoped.

"Of course. I will be sure to give you a call when the station is all fixed." Bob smiled.

"Thank you Bob." Twilight said as she and her friends left til all that remained is Bob and his crew.

They all looked at the train station and sure enough the machines cannot deny that the station is in really bad shape.

"That storm must have been a strong one if it destroyed the station like this. How are we gonna fix this?" Travis asked.

"Well we need to figure where to start and then once we do we'll rebuild it that way." Bob answered.

So they began to think where they need to start on rebuilding the station and go from there. But one way or another they will fix the train station.

1st Step: Clearing the Damage and Rubble

View Online

Bob and his can do crew were still thinking on what they should do first to fix the train station. Then suddenly Bob saw a bunch of rubble on the tracks and saw some wood had mold on it. If anything Bob knew exactly what to do first: clean the rubble and get rid of the rotten wood.

"Ok. To fix the train station first we need to clean up all this rubble and get rid of the rotten wood. Lofty? Can you use your wrecking ball to wreck the rotten wood down?" Bob asked.

"Um. Yeah. I think so." Lofty answered.

"Ok and Scoop? Can you get rid of the rubble on the tracks?" Bob asked.

"Sure can Bob." Scoop smiled.

So the two did exactly what they were supposed to do. Lofty used his wrecking ball to wreck the rotten wood down and Bob picked up any wood and placed it in Travis's trailer. And Scoop just scooped up any rubble he can find that was laying on the tracks. When Bob placed the last piece of rotten wood in he gave Travis a task.

"Travis. I need you to go get some new wood and some other strong material we can use to rebuild the train station. Can you do that?" Bob asked.

"Sure Bob. We definitely need to get the train station all fixed. The Rainbooms are counting on us." Travis said.

So he rolled into town in hopes of finding new wood to replace the rotten wood. Then Bob saw the hole that was in need of new a cement floor.

"Dizzy. Roley. We need a new cement floor. Let's get that done before Travis gets back with the new wood." Bob suggested.

With Travis he was rolling into town in hopes of finding new wood. Then suddenly he saw a girl with white skin sapphire hair and wearing sunglasses. She was Vinyl Scratch. She tried sitting on the bench but when she did the right leg broke and fell down.

"Oh! Are you alright miss?" Travis said.

"Yeah I'm ok." Vinyl said as she got up. "But darn that bench! We really need some new wood for it. Wait. Why am I talking to a tractor? That's weird."

"I know it seems weird but I assure that you are not going crazy. I'm Travis the Tractor."

"Nice to meet you Travis. I'm Vinyl Scratch."

"Hey since we both need some new wood I have a suggestion. Why don't we both head to the woodshop together?" Travis offered.

"Good idea. And maybe I can help you pick out some stronger material for you." Vinyl said.

"That would be wonderful Vinyl." Travis smiled.

Vinyl hopped in Travis and he continued on to the woodshop. Once they arrived Vinyl got some new wood and placed it in Travis's trailer. She also kept some wood for herself to fix the leg on the bench. Not only did she get the wood but there was also some bricks and a bag of cement. The duo left the woodshop and went back to the train station. Bob saw them as Dizzy and Roley were busy with the cement floor.

"Travis! Your back! And I see you made a friend." Bob smiled.

"I sure did. This is Vinyl Scratch. I met her on the way to the woodshop." Travis introduced.

"Hey Bob. Nice to meet you." Vinyl said as she shook his hand. "Hey. If it's not too much trouble I was thinking about after you and the crew finish rebuilding the station we could have like a party to celebrate? I'll need Travis's help though."

"Sure we can. But after when the job is finished." Bob smiled.

"And I be glad to help you Vinyl." Travis said.

"Thank you Travis. I will be back later after the train station is all fixed." Vinyl said as she left leaving Bob and the gang to finish the job.

"Alright Travis. While Dizzy and Roley are finishing up the cement floor let's get all that new wood and other material all ready? We'll need to build the whole outside of the station so the passengers can come in and out." Bob suggested.

"Good idea Bob." Travis agreed.

So Bob opened up Travis's trailer and got all the wood and bricks in place ready to rebuild the outside of the station. After he did that Dizzy and Roley were all finished with the cement floor. Now come the part for Bob to do: building the outside of the station. Yep they need to know where to go in to receive their tickets and know where to wait outside for the trains. Then Bob got his toolbox ready to action.

"Ok. Dizzy? I'm gonna need you to make more cement, Lofty. When I finish with the walls I need you to hold the wood in place so I can nail it down to make the roof." Bob told them.

The two nodded in agreement and they proceed to do their jobs. And as Bob always knew that working as a team can get the job done quicker. And the fun is in getting it done.

2nd Step: Building the Outside.

View Online

After the cement floor was completely dry Bob was ready for the next part of fixing the train station: building the outside and figuring out what rooms there will be.

"Ok. Dizzy? Can you make some more cement? I'm gonna need it for when I rebuild the station." Bob asked.

"Sure Bob. I'm get some ready for you." Dizzy answered.

So Dizzy being a tilting-drum cement mixer trailer decided to let Bob use the cement bag and water and mix it all up. Then Bob called in Lofty for the roof he will do much later. Then Bob grabbed a hand float and spread cement on each brick forming a new station one by one, little by little, building bit by bit, and block by block. Soon the whole outside was finished and now it was time for the roof to be build. But after the cement dries of course.

"All right. The outside looks great. Now let's wait for the cement to dry and then we'll get started on the roof. Lofty I will need your help doing that." Bob said.

"Ok Bob. I'll try." Lofty replied.

So the whole gang decided to take a little break as they wait for the cement to dry. Bob was enjoying some tea as he was waiting patiently. Then after 30 minutes he went to the wall and touch them to see if it was dry. And sure enough it was all dry and ready.

"All right team. Now let's get started on the roof. Travis I'll need a ladder and Lofty? I need you to hold the wood in place so I can nail it in place." Bob told them.

The two nodded and they did their tasks. Travis opened his trailer allowing Bob to grab the ladder and then he climbed up and Lofty carried the first piece of wood to him and Bob took his hammer out and nail it in place and made sure that it didn't wobble. Then he did the same thing on the other pieces he hammered down and once he reached the last one he smiled in satisfaction. But something was missing.

"Hmm. I think this roof needs some coverings. Hey Travis! Is there any roof covering we need to place on here?" Bob asked.

"Yes Bob. Try using these asphalt shingles. They should last for a long while." Travis answered.

Bob climbed down and got the asphalt shingles along with a nail gun and some gloves and safety goggles. He climbed back up and once on the roof he placed on the goggles and gloves and got ready to nail asphalt shingles in place. Then he started to nail them til the top came together. Of course being the handyest man in town he made sure the covering was not wobbly and had no holes in them. Then after 50 minutes he finally got the last tile on and the roof was complete. Then Bob came down and looked at it. It was really coming together but something was still missing.

"Nice work. This station is really building up." Bob smiled.

"Yeah. So now can the Rainbooms head to there vacation in Maretopia!" Roley said.

"Nope. It's still not finished. We did the outside of the station but now we need to work on the inside. We need to decide what rooms they're will be in the new station." Bob corrected.

"Oh. Bob's right. Without new rooms the passengers won't be able to tell where they are in the station. So we definitely gotta do that. But there's like three big empty spaces in there." Scoop replied.

"Not to worry Scoop. One room will be the waiting room and the other will be the control room. Those are important to a train station." Bob said.

"But wait Bob. There's one more empty space. What do you think we should make that room? Maybe like an arcade with a jukebox, and a mural on the wall?" Roley suggested.

Bob gave it some time to think about his suggestion and then realized something. Since there's three empty spaces in there and already two of them were gonna be the waiting room and the control room it really wouldn't be fair it there was nothing fun for the kids to do. So Bob smiled as his way of saying that having an arcade would not be a bad idea to have.

"You know what Roley? That is a great idea. Cause what if there's families that are bringing kids on their vacation? They'll definitely want something to do while they wait. So it's decided! The three rooms in the new station are the waiting room, the control room and the most important one the arcade room!" Bob declared.

Everyone cheered hearing that.

"But there's one issue. We don't have the equipment to build in the rooms." Bob realized.

"No worries Bob. Ill head down to the hardware store and get the equipment we need to make the rooms and maybe some decorations to make it look nice." Travis offered.

"That be wonderful Travis! We'll be busy with two new signs while you get the equipment. We appreciate that." Bob smiled.

So Travis rolled back into town and Bob and the can do crew got started on building two signs for the station. But what they know is the station is halfway complete.

Final Step: Building the Rooms and Decorating

View Online

Back with Travis he continued rolling into town and found the hardware store. He politely asked the man if he can get some equipment for the train station that's being rebuilt. He had no problem helping and called his co workers to get all necessary equipment that he needs. After an hour or two Travis got the equipment and rolled out of town and back to the train station. Bob and his crew finished the signs and saw Travis.

"Hey Travis! Were glad you're here. We just got finished with the signs. Now were all ready to build the rooms." Bob smiled.

"Ok Bob. Just carefully get all the equipment and you can get started. And we'll help you if you need anything." Travis replied.

Bob nodded and opened the trailer up. He climbed in and carefully carried out all the equipment and placed it down on the ground. Now since there were three rooms to fill Bob figured he should start with the waiting room first. So he went in the empty space and build some chairs and added some light in so they won't sit in the dark. And he even added a speaker in the right corner so the passengers can hear what trains are arriving. Finally he painted the walls to make it look nice and not bland. After all that he smiled in satisfaction.

"Ok. Waiting room done. Now there's just two more rooms left to build. I better get the control room ready." Bob said.

But before he could he heard his phone go off and he answered it.

"Hello? Oh hi Sunset. Yes the train station is almost finished. Just the last few rooms I gotta build in and I'll be done in no time." Bob replied. "Oh? You and your friends are coming in a few hours after you finish packing? Ok well like I said I'll be done in no time after I get the last two rooms done. Ok see you soon."

He hung up and went back to work. He carried some other equipment and wires and went to the empty room on the left. This was gonna be the control room. Now he knew darn well that every station needs a control room as it serves as a central space where a large physical facility or physically dispersed service can be monitored and controlled. Central control rooms came into general use in factories during the 1920s. Anyways Bob began reading an instruction book on how to put the controls together. He had to wear safety goggles and gloves as well as a welding helmet in case he needed to wield something. After 2 hours of electrical building he finished the control room and stepped out wiping the sweat off his head.

"Whew! Ok. Two rooms down and only one left. The arcade room. But first I need a coffee break. I'm A little tuckered out." Bob said.

So he sat down next to Scoop and took out a coffee holder and poured some in a cup. He drank it and relaxed a bit. Yes even the handyest man around needs a little break every once a while. And after building those two rooms he definitely earned a break. Then after 30 minutes Bob accidentally fell asleep and Scoop needed to wake him up.

"Hey Bob. Wake up." Scoop said.

Bob stirred and yawned as he got up.

"Sorry Scoop. I fell asleep. Anyways lemme get back in the train station and build the final room." Bob said.

So when Bob was fully awake he grabbed the final pieces of equipment and headed in the last empty space. He then got started on placing the arcade machines where they should go and even decided to place a jukebox on the right side so they'll listen to some music. Bob even added a mural on the wall. And with the help of his long time friend/partner Wendy he didn't have trouble painting the room. See back then Bob did have trouble painting but luckily his friend Wendy showed him the ropes. Soon enough after a few minutes the final room was complete and Bob smiled as he stepped out to let the paint dry. He smiled seeing that the train station is finally all done.

"Well team. Great job! We fixed the train station! And we managed to make it better than before." Bob said.

"Yeah Bob. Now the Rainbooms can get to where they need to go." Travis said.

At the same time they saw Vinyl Scratch coming here. "Hey Travis. Wow! That station looks amazing! Oh wait til Twilight and her friends see this!"

"They will be so happy to see this." Muck stated.

"Hey Vinyl? Since there's an arcade in the station now think we should plan a party?" Travis asked.

"Uh yeah! Let's plan a special party for them so that way they'll get a kick out of it before the leave for their vacation in Maretopia!" Vinyl agreed.

"A party sounds like a great idea! Let's get it set up and surprise the Rainbooms!" Bob added.

Everyone agreed and they all band together and headed into town one more time to pick up some party supplies. This will be the best party they have ever seen.

The Party and Goodbyes

View Online

Back at Sunset's house the Main Seven were still waiting for the train station to be fixed. But so far they waited for like a really long time. Luckily Sunset had a few games they were playing to keep themselves entertained for a while. But Rainbow however was starting to lose patience and Rarity had to do what she needed to do to keep her calm. Then suddenly Sunset's phone went off and she answered it.

"Hello?"

"Hey Sunset! It's me Vinyl! Listen I saw how awesome the train station looks now! Were throwing a big party for you and to celebrate a job well done! Bring your friends! You'll love it!" Vinyl replied.

"Ok. But wait. Did you say that the station is fixed now?" Sunset asked.

"It sure is! Come on by and we'll get the party started!" Vinyl answered.

"We'll be there." Sunset said as she hung up. "Girls. That was Vinyl. She's letting us know that the train station is finally fixed and that there planning a party there."

"A party?! I love parties!! Let's go there now! I don't wanna miss the cake!!" Pinkie yelled and ran out the door.

So everyone else headed out in order to catch up with Pinkie. Soon enough they all arrived at the train station. And boy they looked so happy to see it rebuilt and in better shape.

"Wow! Bob really did a great job on fixing the station! It looks awesome! Let's go in!!" Rainbow beamed.

So they all headed inside and they were all starry eyed seeing the detail that was put in. And what caught everyone's attention was the new arcade room where we see many party decorations placed and we see Bob, Vinyl and the can do crew enjoying the party.

"Hey girls! I'm glad you could join us! You like the new improved train station?" Vinyl asked.

"You kidding? It looks awesome! And I can't believe that there's even an arcade room! I wonder who had the idea of adding that? It was a great idea!!" Rainbow wondered.

"It was my idea Rainbow. I thought maybe there should be a room for you and your friends to enjoy while you wait for your train." Roley answered.

"That was an amazing idea Roley. And Bob? Thank you for rebuilding the train station. It looks amazing!" Twilight smiled.

"You're welcome Twilight. All part of doing my job. Now let's enjoy the party." Bob said.

So for the rest of the day Bob and all his friends went back in the arcade room and enjoyed the party. The next day we the Rainbooms getting on the train with Principal Celestia and smiled knowing that thanks to Bob the Builder and his crew the passengers are happy once more and can now get on the trains to their vacation.

"Thank you Bob. We couldn't have been on our way to Maretopia without you. And we will definitely give you a call the next time when something is broken. But for now we best be on our way. Thanks again." Celestia said.

And then the train began moving and off it went to Maretopia. Bob and his crew all said their goodbyes til the train was no longer visible. Then Bob smiled at his crew.

"Well team. Great job. Another customer is happy and we fixed the train station. Now everyone can get to where they need to go on the train." Bob smiled.

"Thanks Bob. And I'm glad I was able to help out." Travis commented.

"So do I Travis. Alright gang let's all pack up and head home. It was a busy day and I sure need rest." Bob said.

All the gang agreed and Bob got his stuff and placed it in Travis's trailer. Then he hopped on Scoop and took off heading back into Bobsville. And as Bob said whenever something is fixed means it was another job well done. And thus my friends end a wonderful crossover with the handyest man around: Bob the Builder.

The End.
