The Rainbooms Problem

View Online

One sunny day in Canterlot High we see everyone enjoying their day as well as doing their classes. When school ended we see seven girls walking out the building. They were the heroes and Guardians of Friendship as well as a band. The Mane Seven which contains of Twilight Sparkle, Sunset Shimmer, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Rarity. Then were heading out til something caught their eye. They saw a flyer for an upcoming festival.

"Wow. A music festival. We should definitely sign up! We can play great music!" Rainbow replied.

"Sure Rainbow. We do have a fun time playing music." Twilight agreed.

So they went to the sign up stand and talked with the manager that's gonna be hosting the music festival. Then Sunset signed her and all her friends as the Rainbooms to play on the stage for tomorrow night.

"Ok girls. Just remember that by tomorrow night you must be here to perform whatever song it is that you're doing." The manager reminded them.

"We'll be there ma'am. Thanks again." Sunset smiled.

The Mane Seven all left the sign up booth and headed straight to the mall. When they all arrived they all were having a smoothie to drink and discussing what song they could play at the music festival.

"So girls. Since were gonna be performing at the music festival tomorrow night we gotta decide on a theme so we know what songs to perform." Sunset suggested.

"Good idea Sunset. I suggest we try 80s techno music. That be something for the audience." Twilight offered.

"Are you kidding? No one wants to hear egghead music! I think we should try 80s hard rock! That's far better for them!" Rainbow argued.

"No Rainbow. That is far too loud. I'm thinking we can do 70s rock opera. The music of love." Rarity suggested.

"Y'all are a bunch of crazy people. Let's do some country music from the good ole days." Applejack said.

"That's a good idea Applejack but we should save that for another time. I'm think we can do heavy metal." Sunset offered.

"Um no offense Sunset but that kinda hurts my ears. Can't we try like some classical relaxing music?" Fluttershy asked.

"Where's the fun in that?! I think we should try some rap music!! Really get the beat pumping!!" Pinkie said dressed up as a rapper.

But none of them can agree on what theme they can choose. And some of the band members don't believe that mixing genres is feasible. After a few minutes they slumped their heads in disappointment and realized that they can't seem to choose a theme and may not be able to perform in the music festival.

"Girls? I don't think we can decide on what them we want by arguing. Maybe we need some fresh air to try and clear our heads." Twilight suggested.

The girls couldn't argue with that. So they all got up and headed out to clear their heads.

They all took a walk in the park and while they were walking they tried thinking of a theme to use for the music festival. But so far they can't decide on one. Then suddenly they heard a guitar playing. They turned and saw a man playing the guitar. He was brown skinned, wearing a jazzy outfit, and has a fedora on his head. He was T-Bone Crosby, the famous blues musician. The girls saw him and walked over to his place.

"Excuse me sir? We couldn't help but enjoy this guitar solo. It sounded jazzy." Rarity said.

"Thank you kindly ma'am. Now what brings you gals over to see T-Bone here?" He asked.

"Well we were actually gonna try and perform at the music festival tomorrow but the issue is we can't decide on what theme we want to do. Were supposed to perform tomorrow night but we don't have anything for it." Sunset explained.

"Oh. Sounds like y'all in a real fix you dig?" T-Bone replied.

The girls were confused hearing what he said.

"Y'all are in a jam with no peanut butter." T-Bone added.

"Um sir we can't understand what you are trying to say." Fluttershy said.

"I'm sorry lemme rephase that. What I'm trying to say is that you all have a problem." T-Bone clarified.

The girls finally understood what he said and they nodded yes.

"Yes. That's actually what it looks like. If we can't decide on one theme for the music festival then we can't perform. Everyone will be really disappointed when were not there." Rainbow admitted.

"No worries girls. T-Bone can help you out." He replied.

"You can? Oh that's great! So how can we decide on a theme?" Twilight said in relief.

"Well I happened to know that on the streets is four cats who solve problems. See when I saw them I was stuck on thinking of new songs. Til they helped me realize that I was doing the same routine over and over again. Thanks to them I've been experiencing new things and got more song ideas than ever. So if you want to figure out what theme you want then I recommend you go see these cats." T-Bone said giving Twilight a flyer.

Twilight looked at the flyer and it showed four guys in matching blue jumpsuits on it.

"You got a situation that needs imagination? Call the Imagination Movers?" Twilight read.

"Oh wait! I know those guys! They helped me get out of my Creative Block!" Rarity realized.

"Yeah and they have lots of good ideas!! So they should help us figure out a theme for us to perform at the music festival! I say we should go pay them a visit." Applejack agreed.

"Well if you really think that these Imagination Movers can solve problems them we should go pay them a visit." Twilight said.

Then in an instant, all the Rainbooms rushed out of sight as if they wanna solve this problem in time for the music festival. Get ready for them to see the Movers and how they can solve their problem!

The Idea Warehouse

View Online

Inside the famous Idea Warehouse we see the four guys known as the Imagination Movers doing their daily activities. Rich was doing some exercising, Scott was polishing a burrow statue, Dave was building a new invention, and Smitty was planting a marigold flower.

In fact, it was Smitty who said in a normal voice: “For Those About To Rock.” which no one noticed whatsoever.

As Smitty finished planting the flower the furry resident Warehouse Mouse came out wearing some sun shades and has a guitar.

“Hey little buddy! You're looking good and cool!” Smitty said.

“Very cool Mitty!” Warehouse Mouse replied.

“I bet you wanna play a rock and roll tune for us don’t you?” Smitty asked.

“Uhuh.”

“Well let’s hear it! Hey guys! Warehouse Mouse is gonna play a tune for us!” Smitty said to the others.

The three Movers came to where Warehouse Mouse is and the show began. We see him rocking out on his groovy guitar and dancing at the same time. The Movers were dancing and grooving to the beat and once Warehouse Mouse finished he posed and the Movers clapped.

“Nice solo little buddy! You make a great musician!” Smitty praised.

“Thanks Mitty!” Warehouse Mouse said and he went off the counter and into his mouse hole.

“You know Movers? I think today is a great day to play some tunes! What do you say we get our instruments and play some music?” Rich asked.

“That’s a great idea Rich!!” Smitty agreed.

“Yeah! Maybe we can sing a song about burrows!” Scott suggested.

“Anything we can think will work!” Dave said and looked at the readers. “Sometimes playing music is a great way to get your body and your brain working.”

"And it's a great way to get a little exercise in and get your body moving." Rich added.

The Movers agreed and just when they were about to get their instruments they heard the doorbell rang.

“A customer!” the Movers cheered.

Then all four Movers stood at attention before the front door, waiting anxiously as Rich answered the door. They see the Rainbooms at the entrance and they smiled.

"Hi. Is this the Idea Warehouse?" Sunset asked.

"Yes it is the Idea Warehouse! And were the Imagination Movers!!" Rich answered.

"Well it's nice to meet you. I'm Sunset Shimmer and these are my friends, Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, and Rarity."

"Oh we know Applejack and Rarity. Last time we saw them was when Rarity had a Creative Block." Scott said.

"Oh so you already met two of our friends?" Sunset asked.

"We sure have. Though we didn't expect to meet more of you. You must be a popular school group." Dave commented.

"Funny that you mentioned that cause we are called the Rainbooms. At school and when we play music. But enough about that. We came here because of something else." Twilight said.

"Well do come on in girls." Rich said allowing them inside.

The Rainbooms all headed inside and they looked around the Idea Warehouse and saw a lot of cool stuff to do here. Pinkie smiled seeing all the colorful stuff.

"Ooh! This place is so neat!! I could spend everyday planning parties!!" Pinkie beamed.

"Well we do love a party. But this is also where we work." Smitty replied.

"Really now? Cause this place is really big to work in." Twilight said.

"Oh it is Twilight. Believe us. Now anyways we believe that you girls are here for a reason?" Rich asked.

"Yes sir. We heard that you guys solve problems right?" Twilight asked.

"We sure do Twilight! Problem solving is exactly what we do!" Dave answered.

"That's good. Because we need your help. We all have a big problem." Sunset said.

"Well let's see what we can do. What seems to be the problem Sunset?" Rich asked.

"As Twilight already told you we are a band called the Rainbooms and we were always known for playing great music at lots of different festivals." Sunset started.

"That sounds like fun!! We happen to be a band too!" Scott replied.

"You guys play music too?" Rainbow asked.

"You bet! We have some instruments of our own and we even filled in for T-Bone Crosby when he got a cold at the great City Hall! It was a great concert!" Dave answered.

"Cool! And do you sometimes play music when you solve problems?" Pinkie asked.

"We sure do! Sometimes when we solve problems we like to play music to get our brains pumping!" Smitty answered and Warehouse Mouse came out agreeing.

Fluttershy saw him and her eyes were sparkling.

"Is that a mouse?" Fluttershy asked.

"It sure is. This is my little buddy Warehouse Mouse. And he's really friendly." Smitty answered.

Fluttershy came to the mouse and gently carried him and he came up to her face. He was feeling something in his chest and turned to Smitty wondering who she was.

"That's Fluttershy little buddy. She's very nice. Talk to her." Smitty smiled.

"Hey.." Warehouse Mouse said all lovestruck.

"Hi little fella. Are you hungry?" Fluttershy asked.

Warehouse Mouse could only nod and Fluttershy gave him a piece of cheddar cheese and he climbed off her and headed back to his hole.

"He was nice. But I'm always nice to all my animal friends." Fluttershy said.

"Wow. You must really know how take care of animals if you really like them. But anyways you said you have a problem so please continue." Rich reminded them.

"Oh yes. Anyways were a band called the Rainbooms and we happen to be set for a performance at a music festival." Sunset continued.

"A music festival? That's a lot of fun for hearing and dancing to music! But why is that a problem?" Scott asked.

"Because....we can't decide on what theme we want to do." Sunset answered.

The Movers gasped hearing that.

"What? You mean you don't know what kind of song you want to play?" Smitty wondered.

"It's sad but true darlings. And no matter how hard we try thinking we can't decide on one theme for our song and we fear that we may not perform." Rarity admitted sadly.

"That's terrible. I can't imagine what would happen if we couldn't figure out what theme we want to do for our performance if we were scheduled to perform." Rich replied as the others agreed.

"Yes it's terrible. But that's not the worst part of the problem." Fluttershy said.

The Movers prepared to hear what's next.

"So what is it?" Scott asked.

"Well were supposed to perform at the music festival tomorrow night. But if we can't choose what theme to do then we can't play for everyone. They will be extremely disappointed to not hear a song from us. Can you help us Movers?" Rainbow asked.

"Yes we can. Cause that is a big problem." Rich answered.

"This isn't just a problem guys. It's an....." Dave started.

“Idea Emergency!” the guys finished together.

By the entrance, a blaring siren sounded out, startling the girls.

"Is this a good thing Rarity?!" Twilight asked.

"Don't worry darling it is! That will go off when they have an Idea Emergency!" Rarity shouted.

They faced the Movers as they began speaking.

"We need to help the Rainbooms..." Smitty began.

"Figure out what theme they want to decide on..." Dave continued.

"So they can perform at the music festival tomorrow night..." Scott picked up.

“And that means we need some good ideas!” Rich finished.

“Let’s brainstorm!” the guys said together.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=J10ut-3pt60&list=PLUhA5OoRMxdjtZRwCg4Gm3VffKwoAeoZe&index=2&pp=iAQB8AUB

And that began there famous dance that always happen when they get started to solve a problem and the Movers were all ready for that. And that's with Rich and his Scribble-Sticks, Scott and his Wobble-Goggles, Dave and his Gadget-Hat, and Smitty and his Journal, the guys came together in a storming cloud in the room that blew everything away that wasn’t nailed down.

The Rainbooms are all in shock seeing this happen. Pinkie who was enjoying the tune was dancing to the music. They were all the while watching with wonder as the guys sang about thinking of ideas. And while dancing like crazed monkeys the song ended with Warehouse Mouse singing the last few lyrics with a deep voice for a mouse.

“Reach high!” Rich raised his hands up.

“Think big!” Dave spread his arms out.

“Work hard!” Scott flexed his muscles.

“Have fun!” Smitty pumped his fist in the air, ending the song with the guys putting their hands together before pumping them up with great enthusiasm.

And just like that, any semblance of that Brainstorm had disappeared as soon as it appeared.

The guys shook it all off and the Rainbooms were all in surprise and Pinkie smiled so big after that.

"That was amazing!! I loved that song!!" Pinkie said.

"I'm glad you liked it Pinkie!" Scott beamed.

"But how did any of that happen?! There's no way a storm can be inside!" Twilight asked.

"That was actually a brainstorm Twilight. It's how we do our thinking and come with ideas." Rich corrected.

"Oh. Well alright then." Twilight said.

"That was a little scary but if that will help you guys solve our problem then please carry on." Fluttershy replied.

"We will." Dave agreed.

Scott's Idea

View Online

"Alright Movers. Who's got an idea?" Rich asked.

They began thinking til Scott had something.

"Hey guys. I think a have an idea." Scott said.

"Well let's hear it!" Rich smiled.

"Maybe the Rainbooms can't think of a theme because they don't know what they all like in common when playing music. So maybe if they can share what they all like when playing maybe that can help them decide what theme they can choose." Scott explained.

"Good idea Scott!" Smitty beamed

"So we need to share what likes we have to get our theme?" Rainbow asked.

"Yes. And I’ll use my Scribble-Sticks.” Rich said pulling them out. "Now I want you girls to tell us what kind music you like and maybe we can find something that you all like in common."

"Well I like techno music." Twilight said as Rich drew a picture of a techno music symbol.

"I like heavy metal." Sunset said as he drew another symbol.

"I prefer opera music." Rarity replied.

"I love rap music!!" Pinkie smiled.

"I go all hard rock!" Rainbow said.

"I like the country music." Applejack offered.

"I happen to enjoy some classical music." Fluttershy finished.

Rich finished drawing the symbols and put his Scribble Sticks away. "Alright girls. Now try and think about what you all like in common with these."

"And I will use my Wobble Goggles to see the likes." Scott said.

So Scott slid down his Wobble-Goggles and clicked the buttons, and emitting those telltale flashing techno blue lights. He aimed them directly at the Rainbooms and the vision warped as each of the Rainbooms had different colored music notes in their heads.

"Uh oh. I'm not seeing any likes right now. They just have the same music in their heads. Rainbow has red rock music notes, Applejack has orange country music notes, Rarity has indigo opera notes and the list goes on." Scott said as he clicked the buttons again, shutting down the Wobble-Goggles for another use sometime in the future.

"Have you girls tried to combine the music genres? Cause maybe you can see what you like." Smitty asked.

"Well no. But that's because I think we like hearing the music that each of us like. And I still think that we should play hard rock." Rainbow answered.

"Are you crazy? No we are not playing that! I suggest the opera music!!" Rarity shouted.

Then suddenly they all broke out into a huge arguement and the Movers were scared seeing that. Warehouse Mouse even saw that and when he saw Fluttershy all worried he had to do something. He ran out of the mouse hole and climbed onto the counter and took a deep breath and yelled.

"STOP!!!!" Warehouse Mouse yelled.

The Rainbooms got scared and they all went silent. They realized that they were scaring the Movers and that arguing wasn't gonna get them anywhere.

"Oh. Sorry Warehouse Mouse. I guess we let our anger take over again." Rarity said.

Warehouse Mouse muttered something saying that it's okay and he jumped off the counter and faced the Movers again.

"Sorry guys. Sometimes when we try to think of a theme we intend to break out an argument. But we didn't mean to." Sunset replied.

"It's ok. But it doesn't look like trying to combine their likes helped. They still can't decide." Rich told Scott.

"Looks like we need another idea." Smitty suggested.

The Movers agreed and the door opened to reveal , a middle-aged man in glasses and a fully beige business suit, and a woman who wore a bright white shirt and matching bright red pants and jacket with black pigtails and cherry red hair-ties. This was their neighbors Knit Knots and Nina.

"Hey guys." Nina greeted.

"Nina!" The Movers said in unison.

"Movers." Knit Knots said.

"What brings you two here?" Rich asked.

"Well we were busy in my office doing lots of stapling, stamping, and stacking til we heard some arguing coming from here." Knit Knots answered.

"Oh sorry. That's was the Rainbooms." Dave said.

"Oh you mean these girls here?" Nina asked.

"Yes. Nina was it?" Sunset asked and she nodded yes. "Sorry about that. But we have a problem that the Movers are trying to help us with."

"They are a band and they want to perform at the music festival tomorrow night but... They can't decide on a theme right now." Scott replied.

"Well this is much too exciting anyway. I'm gonna leave now. Coming Nina?" Knit Knots said.

"Actually. I'm gonna see if I can help them decide what theme they want to perform at the music festival." Nina answered.

"Oh alright. Have a boring day everyone." Knit Knots said as he left the warehouse.

The girls were confused hearing what Knit Knots said. But Pinkie didn't like what he said.

"How can he hate anything fun?! That's a real grumpy pants that should leave and never come back!!" Pinkie yelled.

"Pinkie! Pinkie! Relax. It's always been like this with my uncle. He never really likes anything fun and only likes boring things." Nina replied.

"Well sounds like your uncle should loosen up or he should get out! No offense." Rainbow said.

"None taken. I sometimes wished he be more fun too." Nina admitted.

"Um guys? We still have an Idea Emergency to solve." Dave reminded them.

The Rainbooms and Nina all agreed and had to get back on track.

"Ok well your first idea didn't really work. We were always attached to the music we listen to separately and can't think of anything else." Twilight said.

"Coming up with different themes is hard. But you know girls that different music genres can blend well together. Doing that can show you that there isn't just one kind of music but others making the sound better." Nina offers.

"Yeah. Blending music genres can really make a tune sound better. Especially when you play in a band." Smitty agreed.

"That does makes sense. I guess we could." Rarity thought.

Then in the white backdrop that was dotted with all sizes of colorful dots we see the Rainbooms trying to think of ways to combine the music genres with the Movers but so far nothing.

Smitty's Idea

View Online

The Movers, Nina and the Rainbooms all continued thinking about what to do when it comes to mixing music genres but so far they still don't have anything.

"Oh it's no use. We can't think of anything that could help us." Fluttershy said in defeat.

"Now don't say that Fluttershy. We ain't giving up. Were gonna get to the bottom of this problem before this day is through. I guarantee it!" Rich said with confidence.

"Just because one idea didn't work doesn't mean were out of ideas." Dave added.

"It's true Fluttershy darling. When I was worried that I wouldn't get rid of the Creative Block the Movers didn't stop til they solved the problem. So they'll think of something." Rarity replied.

"But if only we can think of something similar to the music we listen to." Twilight worried.

After hearing that Smitty had an idea go off in his head.

"Hey! I have an idea!!" Smitty smiled.

"What is it?" Nina asked.

"Well. The Rainbooms like different kinds of music when they listen on their spare time right?" Smitty asked.

"Yeah. We do." Sunset answered.

"So maybe what we can do is try finding similarities between them, to try and find similar sounds between music genres." Smitty suggested.

"Great thinking Smitty! Cause if we find similarities in different songs based on the music then they can decide on the theme no problem!" Dave noted.

"That just might work. But how can you find similarities in different songs?" Twilight asked.

"Easy. We'll check my journal." Smitty answered.

He then pulled out his Journal from his extra pocket. He then opened up to a page and everyone looked at the journal as we zoom in seeing a picture move.

"Some musicians like to use the same kind of rhythm for different songs." Smitty started.

"Yeah I heard songs with the same rhythm before." Twilight agreed.

Smitty flipped to another page.

"Musicians also can combine two kinds of music to create a new melody for a song they wrote." Smitty added.

"Like trying to combine opera and rock music together." Rarity said.

Smitty nodded yes and he flipped to one more picture.

"And then musicians like to borrow lyrics from the original song to use to make their music sound good. As well, eventually, the similarity does not occur by direct repetition, but by presenting in two (or more) set of relations, some common values or patterns." Smitty finished.

With that, Smitty closed his Journal and the Rainbooms took all the information that Smitty said.

"So maybe if we listen to some music with some of our favorite music genres we can decide on the theme?" Rainbow asked.

"Yeah! If you try that then you find similarities you like! Let's give it a go!!" Dave smiled.

"I definitely heard that!!" Scott added.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=MNS6eu6-L14&pp=ygUkaW1hZ2luYXRpb24gbW92ZXJzIGkgaGVhcmQgdGhhdCBzb25n

The Imagination Movers all gathered together right in the middle of the room with their instruments in hand. In the back, we see Scott on his keyboard, Smitty and Dave on their guitars, and Rich on his drums. The four were singing as they heard some sounds going around. It was quite clear that these four were pretty much a band and sometimes they think music will help stimulate the problem faster.

The Rainbooms were surprised that they broke out in a song. Well all except for Rarity and Applejack for they already witnessed it. Admittedly they couldn't deny that the beat was funky and decided to dance along.

As they were grooving and dancing we see Rich playing a rock and roll tune with a country tune and Rainbow and Applejack liked how the two combined.

Then Scott tried playing a rap song with a little opera in it and Pinkie and Rarity gave that a try. Turns out they liked how they started with a gentle opera tune and then break out into a funky rap tune. Then Dave decided to play A techno song with a jazzy blues tune. Twilight and Sunset were grooving and moving to the beat.

Finally when Smitty played a heavy metal song with some classical instruments in it Fluttershy couldn't help but shake her head to the sweet beat.

And as the band reached the cord in their song the Rainbooms all were done dancing and smiled catching their breath.

"So girls? Did you like all those different combinations of music?" Smitty asked.

"We sure did! I loved the rap/opera beat!!" Pinkie said.

"And we admit that country and rock and roll are a darn good mixture." Applejack added.

"Ahh! I think were getting somewhere! Ok girls. Since you liked the different combinations maybe you can decide on your theme now!" Rich beamed.

"We must might! Let's try!" Fluttershy agreed.

So the Rainbooms all tried long and hard to think while Scott used his Wobble Goggles again to look inside their heads. He noticed that the notes inside began to change a little but still were some stress thought clouds in there. Ultimately the Rainbooms sighed in disappointment and Scott turned the goggles off.

"Um guys? I noticed some of the notes changed a little. But there were also these stress thought clouds in them too." Scott replied.

The Movers worried a little hearing that.

"Well at least were on the right track." Smitty said.

"Yeah but they still can't decide on the theme." Nina added.

"I don't understand. We tried listening to the different combinations of music. So why can't we think of a theme after all that?" Twilight asked.

"Well maybe it as something to do with the stress clouds inside your heads." Scott answered.

"Yeah. Usually that means that you are so stressed that you break out in arguing again and can't think of anything else. So maybe we gotta try and clear them out." Smitty replied.

"So girls? Try taking deep breathes and relax your heads." Dave said.

The Rainbooms did what Dave told them to do and closed their eyes and took deep breathes in and out and relaxed. Then after ten minutes they felt much better.

"Ok. We feel better. Thanks Dave. But we still can't decide on a theme." Fluttershy said.

"Rats. I really thought that listening to music combinations would work. Guess this didn't. Alright let's think of something else. We need another idea." Dave suggested.

Everyone agreed and began thinking again. Two ideas failed but the Movers will not give up. They solved lots of problems and will solve their problem one way or another.

The Movers simply had not thought of the right idea yet to solve the problem.

And no idea is a bad idea, not until it has been tried.

Dave's Idea

View Online

The Movers kept trying to figure a way to help the Rainbooms choose a theme but they decided to take a little break and have a snack. Sometimes it's hard to think of new ideas on an empty stomach. So they went to the fridge and grabbed a few strawberry muffins.

"Man. These muffins are so good. You girls want some?" Dave asked.

"No thanks. We had lunch before we came here." Applejack answered.

Dave nodded and finished his muffin. And then the rest of the Movers finished their muffins too. Then they went back to the Rainbooms and Nina decided to help too.

"Alright. Got a good snack. Now back to the problem." Dave said.

"Ok. Let's review what we tried so far. We tried seeing what likes you had in common..." Rich started.

"And we tried different combinations of music.." Scott added.

"And we tried helping you relax your minds." Smitty finished.

"We appreciate your hard work and great ideas truly we do. But long story short we still can't choose a theme for the music festival." Rainbow replied.

"So what else can we do?" Smitty asked.

"Maybe we should cancel the show. We thank you for trying anyways." Sunset said sadly.

"Whoa!! We can't just give up! The Imagination Movers NEVER give up! We gotta try something else that can help you choose a theme. You liked the different combinations of music so your on the right track." Rich reasoned.

"True. But we wish that there was something that can rate the votes and we can decide the theme from there." Twilight said.

Like that Dave had an idea.

"You know what? Maybe there is! One second!!" Dave said.

So Dave zoomed out and we hearing mechanical stuff happening. Tools were being used and we also hear something drilling and other sounds that are heard for building. After a few minutes Dave came back with a new invention that has a huge screen, seven helmets and some lights.

"Ta da!! I present my latest invention! The Musical Theme Rater!" Dave smiled.

"Wow! It's amazing!" Twilight beamed."What does it do?"

"I'm glad you asked. Ok so say that you girls need a theme but can't choose one. And you wished that there was a way to rate the votes on what theme you want. Well with my Musical Theme Rater it will decide for you!" Dave explained.

He demonstrated by putting on a helmet and pressed the red button which got the machine started to do it's job. There were blinking lights and techno sounds going off til finally it processed a theme for Dave.

"Next invention: Use a rock and roll theme." The machine said and turned off.

"Ooh." The Rainbooms said in unison.

"Nice. If that can choose a theme for an invention then I suppose it can work on choosing our theme on our performance! Let's give it a try!!" Twilight said.

"You got it! Now lemme type in the information..." Dave said as he typed in some codes for a voting process to determine what theme they can use. "Ok girls! Give it a try."

The Rainbooms all went to the machine and placed the helmets on their heads. Once all of them had a helmet on Sunset pressed the red button and the machine started to process the votes for their music theme. Then after ten minutes the machine has the bars rated on each different music theme. However when the Rainbooms saw they ratings it was a seven way tie.

"Seven great different music themes but it's a seven way tie. You girls will have to decide which." The machine said and turned off.

"What?!" The Rainbooms said in shock.

"I thought that hard rock would win!!" Rainbow replied.

"No it won't!! Because I believe that rap music would win!!" Pinkie shouted.

Then suddenly another argument broke out and the Rainbooms were fighting and even Sunset and Rainbow got so angry at the rates they destroyed it! The Movers worried seeing all that and they decided to try and clear the fight up and Nina told them to do a few breathing exercises to calm down. After five minutes they all were relaxed and calm. But then they realized that they broke Dave's invention.

"Oops. We did it again. Were so sorry Dave." Rainbow said in guilt.

"It's okay. Sometimes my inventions don't always work the way I want to." Dave replied.

"True. But if their themes are all tied with each other..I don't think the Rainbooms are gonna be able to choose a theme like that." Rich said.

"He's right. We cannot choose from a tie." Fluttershy agreed.

"It was a really good idea Dave. But when we try to think of a theme we don't really use a machine. And plus it's not really fair if we just pick when it's a seven way tie." Twilight added.

"Yeah your right. We need another idea. But let's clean up this mess." Dave agreed.

The Movers, Nina and the Rainbooms all agreed to clean up the mess as they got some supplies. Rarity pushed a large broom across the floor, sweeping up the scattered pieces of the machine. Fluttershy was able to pick up any small pieces of glass that were scattered all over the floor. It was wonderful that the Movers were giving their all in helping them solve the problem, but with the previous ideas ending not in their favor they all became worried that they won't be able to perform in the music festival.

"Well not even a wonderful invention can help us choose our theme. Maybe we should tell the manager that we can't perform." Rarity said sadly.

"Don't give up yet girls. The Movers won't quit yet. I noticed you liked the different combinations of music and while you're not the right track maybe you need something else that you can sample." Nina suggested.

"But every time we try and sample something to choose we keep arguing. I really don't want that happening again." Sunset worried.

"You know guys? Maybe that could be part of the problem. Every time they argue they can't think of anything else. So maybe the first thing we should do is help them rid the stress clouds inside their heads." Scott replied.

"Yeah. Cause if they keep getting stressed and argue all the time they won't choose a theme for the music festival." Smitty added.

"Good thinking Scott. Girls. I'm gonna play A little relaxing tune on the radio. I want you all to close your eyes and relax til Scott sees the clouds disappear." Rich said taking out a radio.

The Rainbooms nodded and Rich pressed the play button and when Scott actived his Wobble Goggles he saw the stress clouds vanish away and the notes began changing more.

"Guys! It worked! The stress clouds are gone! I think the Rainbooms can now think better without getting in another argument!" Scott smiled and deactived the goggles.

"All right! That part is solved. Now we gotta figure out what the other part is." Dave said.

Then Rich remembered what Nina said about mixing music genres and sampling different tunes. He knew there was something else to this that the Rainbooms were forgetting and wanted to see if that was what the Rainbooms need it might be there one chance to solve this problem.

"Movers? Nina? Let's huddle." Rich said.

So he signaled the Movers and Nina in a huddle so the Rainbooms couldn't hear.

"Ok. Movers. I think the Rainbooms can't choose because they haven't heard different instruments to make different tunes." Rich started.

"Rich is right. So what if we show them that playing different instruments can help them realize that mixing different tunes and sounds isn't a bad thing and maybe that way they can choose the theme?" Nina asked.

"Great idea. But what if haven't? Maybe we should ask them if they did try it before." Dave suggested.

The Movers and Nina agreed and they faced the Rainbooms once more.

"Girls. What do you do when you try to come up with a theme?" Rich asked.

"Well. We try and play our instruments and see what tune works for us. And though we liked the music combinations I feel like I had something but I can't." Sunset answered.

"Ok. Now when you play your instruments do you try some different ones? Because sometimes trying new instruments can help you figure out what tune you want to try. And if I had to bet my entire burrow collection on this then I would say that maybe having the Rainbooms sample different instruments would help them choose their theme." Scott replied.

Then suddenly when Rich heard everything that Scott said he got an idea that just might work. And he and the others would need to take them to one of their rooms for it to work.

Rich's Idea

"That's it! I know how we can solve your problem girls!" Rich said.

"You do?! What is it Rich?" Pinkie asked.

"Well what Scott said is true. Maybe the reason why you can't choose a theme is because you are so used to the same instruments you play that you didn't know that switching it up can be helpful to figure it out faster." Rich explained.

"Yeah! So maybe all you have to do is try new instruments along with the different music genres. Cause then if you try enough you should figure out a theme for your show!" Smitty agreed.

"You know what? I think that might work! But where are we gonna find new instruments to try?" Fluttershy asked.

"Not a problem Fluttershy. We can find some instruments to try in..." Dave said.

“THE MUSIC ROOM!!!” the Movers all declared.

Then Warehouse Mouse holding a saxophone begin playing and walking down the hallway and the gang all followed him to the Music Room. The Movers were dancing and the girls couldn't help but join in.

Once more in the white background with colorful dots we see the Movers dancing as they walked down. The Rainbooms were following behind with Nina as they continued grooving.

They arrived and inside were loads of different instruments to try. There were brass instruments, string instruments, and so much more. There was even a huge stage in front of them to perform on. And there was even photos of all the different great musicians and singers throughout history. The Movers were wearing different clothes that match the theme of the room. Rich dressed like a classical guy from an orchestra, Smitty was a western singer, Dave was a rapper, Scott was a hard rocker and Nina was a pop singer. The Rainbooms were so hyped seeing everything in the Music Room.

"Wow! It looks like a real music hall in here! I feel like were a concert!" Twilight beamed.

Then they see Warehouse Mouse playing a jazzy tune on his saxophone while wearing a blues music outfit.

"Except for the blues playing mouse. You don't see that too much everyday." Applejack said.

"You sure don't. Alright girls. Now here are many different instruments you should try. But before you do we probably need to warm you up before test-playing the instruments. That way you'll be ready." Rich said.

"Well it wouldn't hurt to warm up. So how will we do that?" Sunset asked

"Easy Sunset. The first thing we gotta do get your bodies warmed up. Meaning you have to be your most shakeable you!" Scott said as the music played.

Then we hear cheering as they started to sing and dance to the song. Scott was the lead singer in this as he sang and told the girls what parts of their bodies they needed to shake. The Rainbooms were loving the tune and Pinkie was the most hyped up and loved dancing to this tune. First they all shook their arms, next their legs, then their heads and finally their hips. Once they reached the jumping part they all shaked and jumped to the tune and once the Movers finished the song they posed. The Rainbooms were now all ready for trying new instruments.

"Shake, shake, shake, shakeable you! Hahaha! That was probably my favorite song I heard all day!" Pinkie said.

"Now you're all ready for trying new instruments!! Girls? Grab which instrument you want to play and then we can start making some nice music!!" Rich said.

So the Rainbooms all looked around the Music Room to see what new instruments they can try. After a few minutes they came back and saw them with new instruments. Rainbow had a lead guitar, Applejack had a acoustic guitar, Twilight had a microphone since she will sing, Rarity had a keyboard, Pinkie had the drums, Fluttershy had a flute, and Sunset had a bass guitar.

"Nice instruments girls! Ok now time for the best part! Were all gonna play some different tunes and with any luck you just might think of something that represents your theme and you can do it in the music festival!" Rich smiled.

"Well I hope you're right Rich! Let's play!" Rainbow replied.

The Movers cheered and began another song.

The Movers all began singing and the Rainbooms joined in as they played the new instruments. Even Nina joined in on the fun! As they were singing we see the Movers seeing the Rainbooms trying new music experiences and are starting to realize that blending different music genres can really make a tune sound great. We keep on going back and forth seeing the Movers sing and dance along with them helping the Rainbooms understand the importance of music mixing. And to them it seems like it was working! They even decided to add in some dance moves to the beat cause you certainly can't have a song without dances.

They continue this til they reached the end of the song. After all that dancing and music playing the Rainbooms were a little tired but they all had fun nonetheless.

"Wow! That was amazing! I can't how well those tunes mixed well together!" Rarity said.

"See girls? Mixing it up can be fun!" Nina smiled.

"In fact....since we tried out new instruments I think I'm starting to get something for our theme!" Sunset said.

"Me too! I think I got a brainwave coming!" Twilight added.

Soon all the Rainbooms were starting to get something in their heads. Scott slid down his Wobble Goggles one more time and saw that their multiple notes changing colors and a few ideas bouncing around. Scott smiled seeing that. "Guys! There starting to get something! I think we might have found the answer!" He said as he deactived them.

"But there's only way to know for sure!" Dave said.

"Yep! Come on everyone! Let's head back to the Think Tank and see if you got a theme now!" Smitty replied.

Everyone nodded in agreement and they headed out of the Music Room and back to the Think Tank.

Then in the white background with the colorful dots the Rainbooms and the Movers were all dancing bust out some moves as they made their way back. Looks like this problem is about to be solved!!

Problem Solved!

Everyone finally arrived back in the Think Tank and The Rainbooms all sat down on the couch. The Movers stood in front of them with giddy looks on their faces because they hope that this idea has solved the problem.

"Ok girls. Try and think long and hard to come up with a theme now." Rich said.

The Rainbooms nodded and closed their eyes and thought long and hard. The Movers noticed that there was no arguing anymore and were happy for that. Then suddenly after a few minutes the Rainbooms all had ideas and tried combining those into one for the theme.

"Girls. If we try adding some techno..." Twilight started.

"And a little opera...." Rarity continued.

"Definitely put a lot of rock and roll...." Rainbow picked up.

"And add a teeny bit of rap tunes...." Pinkie replied.

"Along with the other music genres we could do...." Sunset said.

"Greatest Hits of Music History!!!" The Rainbooms finished in unison.

They wrote down a few song from different musicians they know they listened to and after five minutes Pinkie gave the list to the Movers and they saw that this theme was perfect!

The Movers cheered long and loud knowing that the Rainbooms finally have a theme for their performance and can do their show in the music festival. The Rainbooms smiled in pure joy and smiled at the Movers as they gave them the list back.

"You guys were right all along! We couldn't choose a theme because we didn't try mixing it up! And try new instruments for different tunes! But now that we did we finally have a theme!" Sunset smiled.

"And if you happen to be stuck on that again then all you have to do is try new music combinations and you'll be having new themes for future performances!" Dave replied.

"And you won't be having trouble choosing themes again!" Nina said.

"Thank you everyone. We really appreciate all your hard work and great ideas. Now we can perform in the music festival!" Rainbow smiled.

"In fact... Why don't you all come and watch us perform?" Sunset offered.

"Sure we love too! We really want to hear the songs you wrote and will sing!" Smitty agreed.

"Great! You'll be our guests of honor for saving our show! And bring Warehouse Mouse and Nina with you! We really owe them a big thank you for helping us understand that music mixing is a great way to come up with new themes." Pinkie smiled.

"We will certainly be there." Nina said.

Then Warehouse Mouse appeared on Fluttershy's shoulder and played a jazzy tune on the saxophone and she enjoyed that.

"Cool Daddy-o!!" Warehouse Mouse said.

"Oh you definitely are coming to see the show. And if you can play a jazzy tune afterwards I would really like that." Fluttershy said.

Warehouse Mouse nodded yes and got off her shoulder and went to Smitty.

"Well everyone we will see you at the music festival. And again we thank you for helping us solve this problem. But before we go we leave with this saying." Twilight started.

"When playing music it's always a great tune." She started.

"And sometimes you gotta find a little theme and beat to make it sweet." Pinkie continued.

"But if you can't.... Try and mix it up and try new combinations. Thank you again Movers. You guys are great problem solvers." Rainbow finished.

"Goodbye!" The Rainbooms said in unison.

The Movers all said their goodbyes as the Rainbooms all left the Idea Warehouse and they smiled at seeing more happy customers leave with their problem solved.

"Well Movers. We did it. We helped the Rainbooms choose a theme." Smitty said.

"And we'll get to see them at the music festival!" Scott replied.

"We sure will but you know what this is?" Rich started.

"Another Idea Emergency solved!!" The Movers said in unison.

Then the Movers all high fived and Dave missed his chance. But the Movers were so glad they helped them. Then we cut to see them sing one final song.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0MMAnWpW82s&pp=ygUaaW1hZ2luYXRpb24gbW92ZXJzIGp1bXAgdXA%3D

As the Movers were singing the final song we cut back and forth seeing all the highlights of their previous ideas they used to solve the problem. And then when we got to the end which also shows us the final idea they used the Movers got tired and sat down on the couch to relax as we cut to a black screen. And thus my friends end this crossover with the Imagination Movers.

The End.
