Sunset due to the intervention of Discord was sent to a moon in peril.

Discord, out of curiosity and boredom traveled through time altered Sunset's travel trajectory to the Phobos, one of the moon of Mars during a demon invasion.

In the Crystal Castle, Celestia, Luna, Twilight and Cadence were sitting around the table. Luna frowned “Why did you call this summit so early?”

Celestia sighed “There was a portal that was moved to the Crystal Empire.”

Cadence frowned “You mean the one Sunset ran away through. You can’t be planning on going after her, you don’t even know if she is alive?”

A familiar voice echoed throughout the hall. “She is alive. I am well aware of where she is and what she is doing.” Discords’ mismatched form materialised in the corner, a serious look on his face.

Celestia glared at him “What do you know of Sunset? You were a statue when she was my student!”

Discord glared back “You underestimate me, the me that met Sunset was from before you and Luna sealed me away in that statue.”

Twilight pulled out a scroll and a quill “Could you please tell me how you did it?”

Discord shook his head “Absolutely not, I will not be responsible for one of Fluttershys’ friends getting permanently stuck in the future with no way home.” Discord frowned “Now I will show you what she has been up to but before that. Discord clicked his talons, four ponies landing in a pile while a yellow pegasus appeared in his arms.

Discord placed Fluttershy on the ground frowning “Well that’s what you get for eavesdropping on what is meant to be a normal meeting between the Princesses. Still, since you are here you might as well stick around.” Discord clicked his fingers conjuring up a screen to show them what happened.

Sunset

Sunset flew out of a portal into a form far different from her own, she was surrounded by several strange figures. Sunset felt her vision cloud, she could feel their flesh parting in her hands. she could hear the crushing of bone and the sound of something being ripped.

Sunset smelt the scent of blood as she heard plopping onto the ground. She felt blood explode onto her. She sat on something soft as she slammed into it. Her blurry vision cleared as she stared at the corpses surrounding her.

Equestrians

Celestia, Luna and Fluttershy were the only ones not vomiting into buckets that Discord had provided. Celestia growled “What was that, Sunset was a bully and cruel but she would never just kill so violently.”

Discord sighed “I gave her increased power for what she would encounter. I also brought her negative emotions to the surface while for her to survive. Those were humans possessed by demons, they would certainly kill her if she was not ready for them.”

Luna shouted at him “Why send her to such a dangerous place!”

Discord frowned “It was a while ago, I was bored and wanted to do something interesting. I am not good at being static, I often do weird wacky things but even then doing that forever gets old. This was a new experience for me to enjoy, besides she was already leaving to somewhere that would honestly be more dangerous than the situation I sent her into.”

Celestia sighed “I’m afraid Discord is correct, the world she would have ended up on would have been far more dangerous. The problems she would have in a world devoid of magic in a body not her own.” She then turned to Discord “How does she know how to use that body so well?”

Discord frowned. “Well, it wouldn’t have been any fun if she died.” At Celestia's glare, he sighed “Look Celestia, it was a long time ago. I am not the same as I was before, I have friends now or at least a friend.” He smiles at Fluttershy.

Rainbow Dash glared at Discord “What was that! She killed them with no remorse.”

Discord frowned “They were under the control of Demons, those Demons would be able to wipe a planet of life within a matter of hours had they arrived in full force.”

Rarity turned to Fluttershy “How did that not make you sick?”

Fluttershy shrugged “I’m not afraid of blood, I am a specialist in taking care of exotic animals. Some only eat meat, I order meat to feed the carnivores and omnivores. I have to divide them up into portions, it can be quite bloody work.”

Applejack frowned “Is that what you do with those dead pigs, Ah deliver?”

Fluttershy nodded “I pay Granny Smith for them. She is aware of what I use them for, so I asked her to not tell you about it.” Pinkie Pie slowly trotted back into the room.

Discord frowned “Are you ready to get back into this?” Everyone nodded, Discord started his recording again.

Sunset

Sunset was running through rooms she couldn’t recognize, she encountered a room with two Imps and a single Pinky Demon. Sunset charged, keeping her three enemies in her sights. She could feel the beating of Imp's heart as she ripped it out. The smell of blood filled her nostrils as she punched through the second Imp's chest

Sunset grabbed onto the larger creatures arm, she could feel a fire burning inside as she struggled against the creature. She avoided it's ugly looked teeth and gripped one of it's arms, she ripped it off watching with indifference to the creatures wails of pain. She then grabbed to side of the jaw ripping the creature in half. She was hoping for more of challenge than that

Sunset exited that room, she soon found herself in a corridor leading into a red room. Two towering behemoths emerged from a doorway, Sunset ran into the room for a figure in green armour to enter with her. He raised an eyebrow “I thought I was the only sane one here?”

Sunset frowned “I have no idea where I am, I assumed everything was hostile.”

The green armoured guy nodded “Well that was wise. Everything other than me has been hostile.”

Sunset growled “Let’s take down those two.”

The green armoured guy blew up something next to him with a rocket launcher “There are six invisible enemies in the room. My visor can distinguish them from the surroundings slightly. Can you take the big guys but be careful, they are probably physically stronger than the other creatures.”

Sunset raring to go, rushed the hulking behemoths, she dodged the punch of one feeling the leg of the giant collapsing. Then suddenly her world was pain, she couldn't see, she heard the sound of footsteps. Sunset felt a sharp pain in her side and the all of the pain started to go away. The green armour guy joined her helping her top her feet “I told you they were tough. How about we split them up.”

Sunset staggered to her feat. She closed the distance, observing as the hulking creature swung at her. She could feel her heart beating in her chest. Each swing she delivered with purpose each dodged attack was a massive relief, finally she managed to slay the hulking behemoth.

The pair enter in a green portal only to find themselves in a dark room Sunset felt attacks from all directions, her body was wracked with pain but she lashed out at her invisible attackers. After a long battle, Sunset felt the last of her strength fade as she collapsed to the ground.

Equestrians

Discord frowned “I think we should call it for now, you clearly aren’t handling this well.”

Most of the ponies were vomiting. Celestia frowned “I think we should send our ponies back home.”

Discord nodded “Twilight will have to stay but I’ll send the others home.”

Fluttershy interjected “I’d like to help, Twilight might want one friend with her. I can handle this. I’m sure you can teleport me here and back again can’t you Discord, I do have animals that need me.”

Discord smiled, “I can do that.” After they stopped vomiting , Discord sent the five ponies and their supplies home using portals.

Discord opened a portal allowing Fluttershy to join sitting next to Twilight. Twilight asked Discord “What were those giant creatures?”

Discord frowned, “Hell Barons. Some of the strongest Demons.”

Luna raised an eyebrow “Surely you had more reason to pick such a dangerous world than just amusement.”

Discord grimaced “Well, these beings have invaded parallel universes before including having wiped out several versions of myself in the process. I thought that making sure that no version of these beings threatened this world.”

Cadence raised an eyebrow “This seems awfully premeditated of you.”

Discord grimaced “Well for chaos to perpetuate it must be in balance. Life is very chaotic and having all die would be bad for me in the long run. Besides, the universe will be ruled by demons to be the same unchanged hellscape as their home is. Anyway, time to show you more.

Sunset

Sunset awoke. She frowned at the green armoured guy, he was strange “What’s your name?”

The green armoured guy shrugged nonchalantly “Call me Soldier. What’s your name?”

Sunset responded with annoyance as she staggered to her feet “My name is Sunset”

Soldier nodded “Sunset, follow my lead if you can move.” Soldier ran down an alley then darted into a room to his right Sunset following behind him. Soldier frowned, “Don’t touch the cross, it will hurt you.”

Sunset nodded before focusing on the enemy in front of her. She felt her blood boiling, as punched through the corrupted human’s skull. The sound of gunfire filled her ears as she tore a second enemy clean in half. She cared little for the being in front of her, their pain and suffering meant little to her as she ripped them apart.

Sunset then turned away from the remains of the enemy “Why am I following your lead, we could split up and cover more ground?”

Soldier frowned “There is more to combat than power. You have a lot of it but your strategic awareness is lacking. I will guide you through this.”

Sunset sighed “Fine, we’ll do it the slow way and boring way.”

Soldier frowned, “Killing is not meant to be fun.”

Sunset grimaced “I’m not saying it is but it doesn’t mean I can't enjoy the thrill of the fight.”

Sunset turned to the enemies in front of her, they were her enemies and she would destroy them. She could feel their flesh give way to her strength, she stared at their bloody corpses with indifference. Soldier shook his head as he grabbed a blue keycard.

Equestrians

Celestia frowned “Sunset enjoyed fighting before, the thrill of the fight.”

Luina grinned “We would like to join this battle”

Discord groaned “This has already happened, you can’t join this adventure.” Luna pouted at him.

Twilight looked to her mentor “What do you mean, Sunset liked fighting?”

Celestia frowned “Sunset was not afraid to wander the seedier parts of Canterlot. While not skilled in traditional combat, she was apt at brawling. She could keep track of large crowds, she often came back from bar brawls.”

Fluttershy raised an eyebrow “Why didn’t you bar her from doing so?”

Celestia sighed “It would have been difficult for me while running the nation and anyone I sent to observe simply lost her until the fighting had already started. I was worse at her age in all honesty, Starswirl spent years trying to get me to fall in line and even then my ego was still a problem.” She then cast a painful glance at her sister “It cost me my sister for one thousand years and it cost my sister far more.”

Discord clicked his talons “Well let’s get back to it.”

Sunset

Sunset and Soldier make their way back stepping on a red floor tile that teleports them to a different location. Sunset sighed “Great! Teleporters, as if this place isn’t enough of a maze.”

Soldier frowned, “We’ll just have to do our best to find our way around.” Sunset walked forward barely even noticing the sound of her human bodies hitting the floor, Soldier grabbing a shotgun they had left behind.

Sunset stared at the enemies in front of her, the larger one in the middle being only of minor interest. Sunset’s eyes focused forward on it as she walked forward. She heard the sound of their heads exploding as she approached the enemy in front of her. She felt it’s soft gooey flesh part as it fell to the ground dead.

Sunset and Soldier crossed a pool of blood. They braced as the floor dropped, they then went through another portal nearby into a room full of a dozen Imps and two Pinky Demons. Sunset turned to the creatures in front of her, she gazed at them only to find her hands covered in blood, their bodies laying at her hooves in chunks.

Sunset and Soldier headed through another portal. Sunset focused on the path ahead, as she felt the flesh of something around rip and tear. Soldier frowned at her, “You should pay more attention to your enemies.”

Sunset shrugged “They aren’t worth my time or attention.” They entered a narrow hallway finding a giant floating crimson head with a single giant green eye known as a Cacodemon. Sunset felt a fire course through her fingers as she formed a fireball that hurtled towards the Cacodemon, she heard the explosion as bits of it’s flesh scattered around the hallway.

Sunset and Soldier left through a portal finding themselves near a maze. Sunset cleared the maze out in record time and returned. They make their way into a large room, Sunset simply walking through leaving blood splatters behind her.

Sunset and Soldier pass an inaccessible door, they dash past five crushers. Sunset and Soldier see a group of imps and demons. Sunset charged forward, the smell of brimstone filled her muzzle as she exploded the demon in front of her. Sunset’s heart pounded steadily as she crushed the demons around with ease.

Soldier meanwhile returned, having collected a red key card. Sunset and Soldier used that keycard to leave this area.

Equestrians

Discord frowned “I think we should take a break.”

Celestia frowned “Yes, still I’m worried about how Sunset seems to not care about killing these creatures.”

Twilight frowned. “Well, she has been told all of them are enemies and out to kill so I guess there is no reason to care for them.”

Cadence shook her head “I think we should have some lunch before we continue.” Everyone in the room nodded, ready to take a break.

After finishing Lunch, Cadence frowned at Celestia “Sunset is overly brutal, I’m not sure I want her back.”

Twilight blinked “What do you mean?”

Cadence grimaced “Sunset treated me really badly. She bullied me all the time I had known her.”

Celestia frowned. “That was on me, I filled her head with the idea of a grand destiny that she would achieve one day.”

Discord frowned “Well when she returns you will get to apologise to her.” Fluttershy nodded as he clicked his fingers.

Sunset

Soldier frowned as the enemies before them fell. “What was your life like back home?”

Sunset turned to him covered in blood. “It was peaceful, war and violence were distant memories.”

Soldier frowned as they continued on “You didn't fit in there very well.”

Sunset sighed “Well, I desired power and glory. Stuff I couldn’t get and that made me direct my frustrations towards others, to do a lot of awful things to those around me.”

Soldier nodded, “Well now you are in a place where you can do some good.”

Sunset asked as they made their way through the area “How did you end up here anyway?”

Soldier grimaced “My commanding officer ordered me to fire on civilians, people who had done nothing wrong. I killed him and was sent out here as punishment. It was a very boring post, nothing happened here. At least until the demons showed up.”

Sunset nodded “You are here for a better reason than I am.” Her eyes then narrowed as one of those hulking beasts from earlier, a Hell Baron Soldier called them. Her eyes focused on the creature, Sunset caught a ball of green fire in her hands tossing it back to Hell Baron. She grinned as her knee made contact with the Hell Baron’s face, the sound of it’s skull cracking under her strike.

Sunset landed on the Hell Baron’s chest as it crashed into the ground. Sunset launched into the air, she felt it’s head give way as blood exploded from the impact. Soldier gave her a thumbs up. “You did better.”

Sunset grinned “I will take any more of those things out.” Sunset and Soldier continued to navigate the moon of Deimos. The demons were barely an inconvenience and Sunset's ability to handle the Hell Barons in small numbers made heading further in easier.

Sunset frowned as they gazed at a giant fortress “What is this place.”

Soldier frowned “I don’t know, no such thing is on the database. I suspect the demons built this facility.” The pair entered the huge fortress only to see Cacodemon's corpses on the floor and Hell Baron corpses on the wall.

Sunset grimaced “So these creatures do kill each other? Just when I thought they couldn’t be more evil.”

Soldier shrugged, “Humans kill each other too, often for petty reasons. These creatures are in our stories and are used as a reflection of our darkest selves and a reminder to be better.”

Sunset frowned “I didn’t know you read?”

Soldier frowned. “Well given what they were doing here, they had a few books on demons and other supernatural beings back at my base. Had to do something with my time. Probably summoned them here, poor fools.”

Sunset’s eyes darted to four Hell Barons charging from every direction. Sunset dove towards one throwing fireball at another drawing it’s attention. Sunset felt her legs slammont the chest of her enemy, her hand rending flesh as felt the beating heart of the creature in her hand. She tossed it out with a yank as she felt the titanic creature hit the ground with a mighty crash.

Sunset tossed the heart towards the second Hell Baron repeating the process. Soldier in the meantime had taken out the other two.

Equestrians

Twilight took a deep breath “ Sunset seems like she is growing very quickly in power, could this get to her head?”

Discord frowned “Better that than she dies. Still I understand your concerns, I may have acted prematurely but it is way too late for me to change it.”

Luna raised an eyebrow “You didn’t consider this when you watched it by yourself?

Discord chuckled “I am the Spirit of Chaos, I can get very easily caught up in things and not think about the consequences. It’s why I like being challenged, it means I have to think.”

Celestia frowned “How much more of this is coming.”

Discord frowned. “Well I’ll cut most of the travel out, most of it is just casually killing demons and grabbing keys. Boring stuff.”

Sunset

Sunset and Soldier have arrived at a tower, they enter the tower climbing it’s stairs until they find themselves in a room with a creature even larger than the Hell Barons before.

Sunset’s eyes narrowed as she barreled forward, her hooves slamming against the ground. Sunset was going to end this creature, she promised herself as her heart pounded. The smell of brimstone and the sound of weapons as she avoided the incoming rockets. Her fist collided with the hardened skin of the demon, sending the creature skidding along the ground.

The hulking demon’s roar echoed throughout the chamber, Sunset turned to Soldier “What do we do?”

Soldier grinned “This.” As he pulled a massive weapon far larger than any she had seen him use before. She watched as a giant green orb of energy slammed into the demon before them, it exploded on contact completely annihilating the creature.

Sunset frowned as she saw fiery wasteland off the side of the moon “What is that?”

Soldier growled “That is Hell, the home of the Demons. I think it's time we paid them a visit.”

Sunset growled “We will end this here and now!” The duo rappel down to the surface of Hell, the realm of Inferno awaiting them.

Equestrians

Fluttershy raised an eyebrow “Did they really just dive into hell?”

Discord sighed “Yes, reckless decision and it’s hardly the first time either. That was too insane even for me, I still can’t fathom the thought of diving into hell so recklessly even once.”

Luna grinned “I absolutely would. I have been itching for something.” She then pouted “I have been told going out to fight dragons is ill befitting of a Princess.”

Celestia sighed “Gossip will spread about you being unfit for your position, abandoning it for flights of fancy.”

Discord smirked, “I’m sure Twilight could take over for a couple of days, it would be a good experience should you two decide to retire.”

Twilight’s eyes narrowed to pinpricks “Run Equestria! I got to study!” Discord burst into raucous laughter as Twilight bolted down the hallways at breakneck speeds.

Fluttershy frowned “That is not a nice way to treat a friend.”

Discord took a deep breath as he settled down “It is something she should be thinking about.” He then frowned at the two senior Princesses “After all you two are planning something to that effect, aren’t you?” Celestia and Luna nod, as Fluttershy sighed hoping everything would be alright.

Cadence frowned “I was absent last time. What’s happening now?”

Discord frowned “Well I’m going to cut out roaming around to collect random stuff. I’m going to narrow the focus on the major battles at least for a bit.”

Twilight smiled hopefully “Maybe that will help with the gore”

Celestia frowned, “I think what we will see will still be very bloody.”

Luna grinned, “I hope to see more fighting.”

Fluttershy held a wing over Twilight “It will be fine, I promise.” With that Discord started up the projection.

Sunset

Sunset and Soldier ran into a large spider-like cyborg demon with it’s brain exposed. Sunset gritted her teeth as the creature’s weapon made it impossible for her to close the distance. It didn’t hurt but it pushed her backwards. Sunset formed a huge orb of fire and sent hurtling at the creature, the orb exploded leaving a charred corpse in front of them.

Soldier frowned “You didn’t use that earlier?”

Sunset shrugged “I prefer close quarters, gets the blood pumping” she then snarled “but that thing was cheating!”

Equestrians

Cadence grimaced “That creature was disgusting. Why would anyone create such a thing?”

Discord frowned “The demons exist for the sheer purpose of conquest, to turn all other worlds to resemble theirs. Their lord was a problem.”

Twilight frowned “Was?”

Discord shook his head “Later, Twilight.”

Celestia frowned “So what happened next?”

Discord frowned “Well after arriving on Earth, and then heading back into Hell again they faced this.”

Sunset

Sunset and Soldier arrived to see a massive biomechanical goat-like head with a brain sticking out. Sunset’s heart started pounding as he made her way to the creature, the scent of blood filled her nostrils as pools of blood poured onto the ground behind her. She leapt onto the creature, ripping it’s brain out of it’s skull killing the creature.

Soldier frowned, “That was fast?”

Sunset frowned “That creature was not incredibly durable. Hopefully we don’t encounter anything else.”

Equestrians

Discord frowned. “This next one will be the last enemy before they arrive at Argent D’Nur and become Night Sentinels.”

Twilight raised an eyebrow “What are Argent D’Nur and Night Sentinels?”

Discord frowned “Argent D’Nur is the homeworld of the Argenta who formed a Warrior Society with the Night Sentinels created to protect godlike beings called Wraith who provided them with power called Sentinel Energy. That energy was later combined with the essence of Hell to create a more powerful energy source called Argent Energy.”

Celestia frowned “What would happen if you were to mix this energy with magic?”

Discord frowned. “You will understand soon enough.”

Fluttershy frowned “Well let’s finish this last fight before observing what happened to them.” With that Discord started the projection of the next fight.

Sunset

Sunset and Soldier arrive in a courtyard to face a creature that looks like a large demonic larva that shoots fireballs at them while firing off trails of fire at them. Sunset eyes focused on the creature countering the fireballs with her own. The battle dragged on until a barrage of shots terminated the creature. Soldier’s demonic looking gun, the Unmaker was smoking “Well let’s make sure these demons won't harm anyone anymore.”

Sunset the two fistbumping before preparing to destroy more demons.

Equestrians

Cadence frowned “What happens now?”

Discord frowned “They were trained to be Night Sentinels after they proved their worth in their Blood Arena. Sunset did benefit from this greatly by giving her formal military training.”

Luna frowned “I must admit she didn’t fight like a true soldier, taking unnecessary risks during combat.”

Fluttershy shrugged “Maybe but if one has sloppy defences offence becomes the best defence at least against an untrained opponent.”

Twilight blinked “How do you know that?”

Celestia sighed “Twilight, you need to learn about pegasus culture more. Pegasi are warriors, and all of them do mandatory military training at a young age.”

Fluttershy nodded “I worked on perfecting my defences with both a lance as well as blade and shield. I was top in my class defensively, I beat Rainbow in that class.”

Luna eyed her “You surprised me, I didn’t think you had that level of combat capability. Would you like to test yourself against me?”

Fluttershy paused before nodding “I want to see if my practice has kept me capable.”

Luna grinned “Great, I’ll get ready!” Luna darted out of the room as Celestia groaned and Discordburst into a raucous laughter.

Twilight looked at Fluttershy with concern “Are you sure you want to do this, the time with your jousting didn’t go particularly well?”

Fluttershy frowned “Jousting is something different, more for show than anything else. I can do this.”

It was not long before Luna and Fluttershy were standing there. Fluttershy was wearing a standard suit of armour as well as a shield and lance while Luna was wearing her personal silver suit of armour, shield and sword. The two took to the skies, Fluttershy’s heart was calm, beating slow and steady. She raised her shield to deflect Luna’s strike, her eyes following Luna as she moved.

Luna was striking from every angle, Fluttershy’s calm demeanour as she blocked each strike was starting to agitate the Princess of the Night. Discord frowned “I think we should step in.”

Luna’s horn began to spark, Fluttershy’s eyes narrowed as she focused on her opponent. A huge blast of magical energy surged forth, Fluttershy dodged using her shield to propel herself along the blast before slamming the butt of her spear on Luna’s horn, the resulting magical backlash knocking out the Alicorn. Celestia stiffened slightly while Twilight’s and Cadence’s jaws dropped.

A couple of hours later Celestia was sitting in the infirmary wringing her hooves when Luna groaned “What happened?”

Celestia wrapped her younger sister in a hug “You’re alright!” Luna blinked in confusion, Celestia sighed “Flutterhsys struck your horn with butt of her spear and the magical backlash knocked you out.”

Luna pouted “I lost.” Celestia sighed, she wished her sister would take this more seriously.

Discord frowned “What you are about to see might be quite unsettling?’

Twilight frowned “When does this happen?”

Discord grimaced “This happens a while after they joined the Night Sentinels.”

Fluttershy raised an eyebrow “What could be worse than what we have already seen so far?”

Celestia frowned, “Well we better tear off the bandaid now, we’ll deal with it later.”

Discord sighed “Alright.” He started the projection once more

Sunset

Soldier now known as the Slayer awoke, snapping his metal bindings before slamming a possessed human's head into the side of the sarcophagus he found himself in. He stood up picking up a small plasma pistol as he saw three similar possessed standing around a giant container field with a chaotic red energy, Sunset floating in the centre.

Slayer boiled with rage, grabbing two of the possessed, shattering their skulls. The third didn’t have time to react before being similarly dispatched. Slayer then slammed his fist into the container shattering it, as the energy burst out Sunset’s eyes opened.

Sunset’s eyes opened and she began pulling the energy into herself, her body shifting in response to the energy. She screamed as two sharp horns started growing out of the top of head facing forward, wing frames bursting out of her back covered in blood. Her skin started to change to a deep crimson. As the pain started to fade, she stood up flaring a pair of pitch black wings with a crimson membrane between them.

Slayer eyed her carefully “Sunset, are you alright?”

Sunset groaned “Yeah, that hurt.” She then looked at her wings “I used to want a pair of wings so bad but didn’t ever expect to get a pair after I left home.” Sunset then blinked “Where is your armour?”

Slayer turned to the room next to them to see his armour. Once they approached the panel Slayer activated a playback of what happened with the leader saying “We have to contain this.” As four people were praying to the sarcophagus.

Sunset frowned “So they didn’t want you to escape.”

Slayer crossed his arms “But someone let me out of there somehow.” The two then head into the next room where Slayer puts on his armour.

Equestrians

All the ponies in the room were staring at Discord. Twilight shrieked “What was that!”

Discord grimaced “You don’t need to be so loud.” He then took a deep breath “Absorbing that much powerful energy at once caused her body to change to adapt to the influx of energy triggering an ascension.”

Celestia frowned “That would make her incredibly dangerous, a new Alicorn grows stronger over time. It takes a while for that power to become fully established.”

Discord crossed his arms “I suppose I should explain something about Alicorns, they are scaled in different forms which affects their appearance and power. Twilight is a one and has the potential to grow to a two and a half. Cadence is a one and a half while capable of becoming a two maybe a two point five. Celestia and Luna are twos. My power is about the equivalent of two and a half. The fully realised combined power of the Elements at their highest three point five.”

Luna blinked “Where does Sunset sit in all of this?”

Discord clenched his fist “Four at the minimum not accounting for future development of growth in power from here.”

Cadence shivered “S-she h-has t-that k-kind o-of p-power. I-I’m g-going t-to m-my r-room.” Cadence left the room in a hurry.

Fluttershy frowned at Discord “How do you know that?”

Discord grimaced “The demons have conquered countless universes before this one. The power they wield is formidable and Sunset was already capable of ripping them apart like tissue paper. Combining her magical power with Argent Energy makes her incredibly powerful.”

Twilight nodded “Well let’s see what happens next.” Discord nodded, starting the projection again.

Sunset

Sunset and Slayer turn to see a monitor that read “Dewmonic invasion in progress.”

Sunset growled “What wrong with it, stupid machine!”

Slayer frowned, starting the statue report. The machine tried and failed to scan, all the data was unavailable. Slayer frowned, “That’s not helping.” The machine then reported that the Satellite Dish Array was offline causing the fault.

After learning the cause of the fault a voice spoke “Welcome. I’m Dr Samuel Hayden. I’m the head of this facility. I think we can work together and resolve this problem in a way that benefits us both.”

Sunset tossed the panel aside “We’ll discuss this in person, I don’t trust this guy.” Slayer and Sunset turned to the door which opened. They passed the corpse of a dead guy. Sunset shrugged “Sucks to be him.”

There were a few possessed humans who Sunset and Slayer pounded into piles of blood. They then climbed the stairs, the Slayer picking up a combat shotgun. Sunset frowned “Do we really need weapons?”

The Slayer frowned “They make demons suffer more.” Sunset shrugged in response as they headed through the door.

An Imp leapt in through a broken window and mid scream Sunset silenced it ripping it’s spine out, blood dripping onto the floor. The duo then kept moving, heading into the next room and clearing it out with ease, including a weird portal thing. They kept hearing as they did so “Demonic presence at unsafe levels. Lockdown is in effect.”

Sunset blinked “How long have we been gone, that demonic presence has a safe level?’

Slayer grimaced, “I don’t know, something weird is going on here.”

The came another signal as they cleared out the last Imp “Demonic presence eliminated. Lockdown disengaged.” The two shook their heads before heading into the next room. They then entered another hallway with a projection that said “They can’t leave this place. It would ruin everything.”

Sunset grimaced “These humans must be using demonic power somehow. What idiots!” Slayer nodded in agreement. They then entered an elevator heading down.

They then heard Samuel Hayden’s voice again “I’m willing to take full responsibility for the horrible events of the last 24 hours but you must understand: our interest in their world was purely for the betterment of mankind. Everything has clearly gotten out of hand, yes, but it was worth the risk. I assure you.”

Sunset and Slayer clenched their fists before striking the device, shutting down the message. They then exited the elevator only to see what assumed was the desert surface of Mars. Sunset and the Slayer charged out into an abandoned facility, ripping the demonic inhabitants to shreds.

They find themselves at a door locked with a blue keycard, Sunset growled as she shatters the door “We are not doing this again!” They exited and arrived in another area. Sunset frowned as they destroyed more demons “Is this really what they are sending at us? These weaklings.”

Slayer frowned “This is not hell, they might be invading elsewhere. Let’s find where they are coming from.”

The duo head into an abandoned facility of some kind, they encounter a hologram that begins it’s speech. Sunset turns to Slayer “221 accident free days, doesn’t seem like it.” The Slayer nodded.

Sunset frowned as the Slayer paused for a second, he then shrugged “Just a message from a computer system called Vega, nothing to worry about.” They move forward killing more demons and finding an elevator with low power. The Slayer rips open a door before following him to kill more demons. They then reboot the power on a console up some stairs.

Then a woman turned up on one of the monitor’s “I believe in honesty, especially now, in what would be your final moments in this world. All the rumours, the human sacrifices, the Hell portal, , the demons…. it’s all… true. My sisters and brothers be thankful, you will be the first, you will have a seat alongside them just as I will in what would become the new world they will create for us…starting…now.”

Sunset glared at the computer “I will rip her soul out and torture for the next eternity.” They then return to the previous room picking a map on the way. After they hop down the elevator and slaughter more demons, they find a chainsaw which the Slayer takes.

Equestrians

Twilight frowned “Why does it seem less visceral?”

Discord frowned “All of this is taken from Sunset’s perspective. She has become used to killing demons and they don't really pose a threat to her anymore.”

Celestia sighed “Duty call. I will have to return to Canterlot. I have been away too long, I’ll say farewell to Candence before I leave.”

Fluttershy turned to Luna shortly after Celestia left “Are you okay?”

Luna sighed “I haven’t gotten over all of it. Some days I’m still very angry at her.”
Twilight blinked “I thought the elements fixed everything?”

Fluttershy raised an eyebrow “The elements are not a magical fix everything button. They suppressed Luna’s rage and power enough to allow Celestia and Luna to start the healing process but those feelings weren’t gone.”

Discord nodded “For the elements to do something that drastic there had to be no alternative. That is basically killing the pony who you were before and the Elements don’t do that except under the most dire of circumstances.”

Twilight frowned “Do you know where Sunset is now?”

Discord nodded “She is on a planet, far from Mars where this all started. The humans recovered and headed out into space looking for new worlds to conquer. One world on their radar from before the demon crisis was colonised in the year 2362 in the 24th century. Sunset arrived at the planet a century later and became a consultant on their military operations, with special interest in a super soldier project they were developing.”

Fluttershy smiled “Well let’s continue watching and figure out how they got there?”
Discord smiled back as he started the projection.

Sunset

Sunset and the Slayer made their way through tearing demons apart on the way while finding doors that were barred including one with a yellow keycard required to open. They then pried open a door followed by slaughtering the demons within. Sunset crossed her arm “These demons are boring, let’s just go down that elevator.”

As they called the elevator, Slayer turned to Sunset “When do you plan on heading to your homeworld?”

Sunset shrugged “When I’m ready and even then I doubt I’d be staying long. I would have a gate on my ship to get me back to where I was after dealing with a serious threat to my homeworld but I doubt I could stay in a place so peaceful for long before losing it.”

After they went down the elevator, they found a yellow keycard for one of the locked doors. They then punched the door open in front of them, slaying the demons behind it. Sunset groaned “This better not be a fetch quest again, I’m going to start breaking doors soon if this becomes a theme.”

Slayer frowned “I thought you were over that during training.”

Sunset chuckled “They couldn’t train away my hatred for unnecessary nonsense.” The Slayer shook his head as they continued on, heading up an elevator. They arrived at the top, ripping the demons in the area apart with ease before climbing into a room using the corpse of a guy in the room to activate the satellite alignment.

Slayer turned to Sunset “You don’t care much about humans do you?”

Sunset shrugged “Most of them other than you seem pretty stupid, doesn’t mean I’ll let demons kill them or anything but they are dumb. Seriously super dumb.”

Slayer grimaced “Not all of them are, it’s a matter of who’s in charge making dumb decisions and those underneath them pay the price for their incompetence and/or arrogance.”

As the information was coming through, it was blocked. Dr Samuel Hayden’s voice echoed through the machine “I’m blocking your access to the facility scanner. Come to the Vega terminal and I’ll give you what you need.”

Sunset growled “I’m going to kill him!’

Slayer nodded “I agree, this guy is getting on my nerves.” They headed back inside, the demons looked at them in terror as they screamed and ran away. Sunset roared chasing them down like a wild animal as she gave chase, splattering the walls with their insides. The Slayer was running at full pelt just to keep up with Sunset who was leaping from demon to demon.

After they make their way into a computer room, Samuel Hayden speaks through the computer as a cell of Argent Energy rises from the ground “It’s a gift. Take it. It will give you strength, help you on your journey - if you can withstand the power surge.”

Sunset shrugged “You can take it, that cell is more compatible with you then twitch me. Besides I want to find where this energy comes from and take the true source.” Slayer nodded crushing the cell and absorbing it’s power.

Samuel Hayden looked mildly surprised “That is pure Argent Energy you have taken into your system. It seems to agree with you. Hmm. I will unlock the remaining Argent cells within the facility for you. Vega, give them what they want.”

Vega's voice filled the room “61,337 UAC (United Aerospace Corporation) Members deceased, 81% of the facility is on lockdown, demonic presence through the Mars installation is critical. According to the records, Dr Hayden, the invasion originated in the Lazarus facility. It seems a hellwave was activated transforming 64% of all UAC employees into the creatures you see roaming through the facility. The rest were killed by the demons released from their holding cells by Olivia Pierce.”

Sunset frowned “That explains why only weak demons have been appearing along possessed humans. That woman was the one we saw in a few projections.” Slayer nodded.

Samuel Hayden nodded “It seems you figured that out. I apologise for the action of her and her subordinates, I’m afraid you will have to deal with her in the future. You may not agree with our research … but know this - We exploited Hell and it’s resources because it was in the best interests of mankind to do so. What you see in this facility is the cost of progress. But none of that matters now.”

Sunset growled “Do you release they can probably detect this and could strike here at any moment with far more demons that are also far stronger then what you’ve seen here!”

Vega provided an update “There is an emergency in the Foundry, the regulators have been destroyed and the core temperatures are now destabilizing.”

Samuel Hayden looked at the two of them “They’ve overrun the adjacent facility. If the venting turbines aren’t re-engaged. None of us will survive the meltdown.”

Sunset and Salyer left the room, Sunset chuckled “We will, your tough as nails and my insides burn at the temperature of several supernovae going off at once at a bare minimum.”
The two exit the room only for the Slayer to pause for a moment, he shook his head “Just Vega telling me something. Ignore it.”

Samuel Hayden then communicated over comms “The facility will not allow you access to the turbine room unless the demonic threat level is brought down inside the foundry. Our security systems cannot be overridden.” Sunset and Slayer fist bumped, the demons shook in fear as the two emerged. The braver demons stood their ground for a nanosecond before being bulldozed as the cowardly ones were hunted and put down like the maggots they were.

They stumbled on a projection during their onslaught of some guy getting murdered by a Hell Knight. Sunset blinked “How did they capture one of those? Those guys tear through normal men like butter.” Slayer frowned, this was suspicious. They then used a guy’s arm to stop a gas leak before continuing the demonic slaughter.

They ripped another yellow keycard off a corpse as they stared at the door for a blue keycard. Sunset grumbled as she turned around the Slayer following. She punched a Hell Knight into a bloody splatter as the surrounding demon shrieked for a moment before their lives were extinguished by the Slayer.

Slayer followed Sunset as she drove her warpath through demons, another Hell Knight splatter was on one of the walls. The Slayer found a plasma rifle as he continued to follow his annoyed friend. After Sunset’s destruction of another Hell Knight, Slayer picked up a blue keycard “We can continue on now, that was scary even for me. You usually complain or enjoy a fight.”

Sunset runned the back of her head “I’m sorry, I hate meaningless time wasting.” Saluyyer nodded as the two continued on.

Equestrians

Luna growled “I hate backtracking too. My sister trapped me in a maze when I was six as a practical joke! It took me five hours to get out of it”

Twilight gasped “That’s awful! How could the princess do that!”

Fluttershy raised an eyebrow “What did you do to deserve that?’

Luna rubbed the back of her head “I set her mane on fire and replaced all the water in the room with liquid explosives.”

Discord chuckled “You are more chaotic than you let on.” He then frowned, “Let’s continue.”

Sunset

Sunset raised an eyebrow “Why do all the keycard people have coloured vests on?”

Slayer shrugged “Probably to make sure all personnel knew who had what keycard.” They then destroy some more demons before having reduced the demonic presence to “minimum safe levels.” They then arrived at the turbine and activated the cooling which caused swarms of demons to appear and be promptly slaughtered.

Samuel Hayden then relayed to them “A Primary control room has been activated somewhere nearby… It could be Olivia.”

Sunset clenched her fists “Well let’s find her!”

The two charged onward finding a room, they activated the button to see Olivia Pierce in front of them. She spoke a code into the computer “Authorization Olivia Pierce Alpha four, zero, two.” Sunset frowned as she started doing weird things on the computer.

Samuel Hayden told them “She is trying to tear a hole between their world and ours.” By the time he had finished speaking she had already succeeded.

Sunset growled “Idiot, that information was due earlier!”

Oliva Pierce gazed at Sunset and Slayer “You could not have saved them anyway.”

Sunset sighed “Well we better get there.” She then smirked “I want to see this completely blow up in her face.” Slayer shook his head as the two left the room to head for the tower.

Samuel Hayden then spoke up once more “The system won’t allow anyone but Olivia to override it now. We have to shut down the Argent Tower manually from the surface.” The two shrugged as they headed out, it was their plan anyway. Samuel Hayden informed them “Oliva is using the tower to drill a doorway into their world. You can prevent her from opening the gate by disabling the tower's induction filters.” They headed on their way to slay more demons and find the tower, the Slayer picking up a rocket launcher on his way forward.

Sunset and Slayer found their way to one of the devices. Samuel Hayden contacted them again “We are only temporarily disabling the tower; you need to remove each lens individually. Carefully release the hinges…” Sunset smirked at Slayer who nodded slamming his foot down breaking the device entirely. Samuel Hayden continued “Destroying the production of Argent Energy isn’t necessary.”

Sunset chuckled as she absorbed some of the energy being released. They then cleared out more demons before finding another device. Samuel Hayden protested “You must stop, the Hell energy is unusable without the filters.”

Sunset chuckled “Good, means less chance of demons destroying Earth again.” Slayer nodded as he slammed down on the device breaking it. Sunset absorbing some of the leaking energy

Samuel Hayden protested once more “What you are destroying is more valuable than you can possibly imagine, it is a perfect and unlimited energy resource.”

Sunset growled “Well that so-called perfect resource comes with demons, tons of demons! You see what a few demons can do, what about all of Hell!” Sunset and Slayer then hunt down more demons. They then break a third device, Sunset absorbing more of the leaking energy.

After travelling through the facility slaying demons along the way, Samuel Hayden contacted them once more “We spent decades perfecting the science, selling it to humanity. We balanced their Hell energy with our science making it safe and usable. We solved an energy crisis the world had no answer for. It works, you cannot do this.”

Sunset growled “What’s to prevent them from getting into the mind of someone else and doing this again! It's not worth the risk! What good an extra century of energy if you get destroyed in the course of a few months.”

Samuel Hayden responded “You can protect us. You are strong.”

Sunset scowled “We can’t be everywhere, imagine 90% of the world being destroyed every couple of years.” After the comm became silent, Sunset and the Slayer continued on.

They finally found the last device, Samuel Hayden’s somewhat resigned voice emerged over the comms “If stopping our energy production is what you want then you need only to destroy the last filter and Argent Energy will no longer exist in this solar system… We will be at square one.”

Samuel Hayden sighed “You made your decision.” They then receive word from Vega that Oliva got an accumulator from the bottom of the tower to open a rift that way. Sunset and Slayer make way for the tower. They slaughtered demons to collect a special pair of Delta V jump boots for Slayer to help him navigate the surroundings.

They then continued on, the Slayer used his jump boots while Sunset used her wings to fly over small gaps. Slayer raised an eyebrow “Why don’t you use those wings more often?”

Sunset frowned “I’m a sloppy flyer, I need proper practice time so I just use them to fly over small gaps.” Slayer nodded as they continued on.

They slaughtered their way to the base of the tower only to see Olvia Pierce, Samuel Hayden explained “That’s an Argent Accumulator she’s carrying. She’ll try to use it to open a portal manually into Hell.” They head into there with Slayer picking up a super shotgun to add to his weapons. After making their way through slaying demons, they find themselves in a reactor room with a giant red beam in the centre.

Hordes of demons spewed out, Sunset smirked as they saw them and shuddered for a second. Sunset and the Slayer went on rampage. Sunset absorbed their energy as she did so. They climbed higher repeating the process. Sunset and the Slayer headed into a side room to continue the ascent, slaying all the demons as they did so.

Once they reached high enough they heard Olivia’s Pierce’s voice “You cannot stop me from claiming what I am owed - what I was promised.”

Sunset shrugged “If we don’t kill her they will.”

Sunset and Slayer headed up to the top of the tower, they forced open the door as they heard Oliva Pierce scream “This is not the end! It’s only the beginning.” She then fell into the Argent Tower’s energy opening a portal.

Sunset turned to the Slayer “Let’s kill all these demons.” The Slayer gave her a thumbs up. As they were fighting the portal erupted and Sunset and Slayer found themselves in what assumed was Hell. The duo shrugged before heading forward killing demons in droves, collecting both yellow and blue skulls to continue forward.

Sunset shrugged as they cleared out more demons “I’m hoping for something bigger.” It was along after they stumbled on some Barons of Hell, Sunset goes “I’ve missed you guys. I was wondering where you guys went.” Sunset and Slayer then slaughtered them, Sunset frowned “Weaker than I remember. That Argent Energy I absorbed really did make me too strong.”

Sunset and Slayer continued forward entering an area that was filled with demonic energy as demons poured in only to be slain. Sunset and the Slayer found their way to the portal that Samuel Hayden has used to get back from Hell.

Discord clicked his fingers “I think that this would be enough for today. I suggest you get some rest for tomorrow.”

Fluttershy smiled, “See you tomorrow.”

Twilight yawned “Today was a long day. I’ll see you in the morning.”

Luna groaned “I have to do dreamwalking, I might not wake up until late.” They headed to their rooms for the night.

Discord returned with Fluttershy as Twilight entered the room with Luna both were drinking coffee. Discord clicked his talons creating a coffee machine and snack table “Well let’s start, snacks and coffee refills are available.”

Fluttershy smiled as Discord was becoming a team player. He then started the projection.

Sunset

Sunset and the Slayer appear outside the tower, Samuel Hayden gets in contact with them “The Argent Tower is destroyed - the portal can no longer be closed from this side. The Hell Energy flows from a location in their world we call The Well. But you’ve returned - the only flesh and blood to have walked between dimensions.” He then laughed, “So there may be a way.” He then returned to his normal tone “Vega is trying to access Oliva’s files, if you can get to the nearest terminal we will provide you with information.

Sunset shrugged, “Information would be good.”

Sunset and Slayer headed towards the nearest terminal. After a bit of travel they find it, Samuel Hayden informs them “Oliva has an artefact in her private lab that we’ve been studying for years. I believe you can use it to find the answers you seek… it bears the Slayer’s mark.” Vega then granted Sunset and Slayer access, Samuel Hayden then gave them directions “ You can access her Lazarus facility from the North sector of the Advanced Research Complex, about 80 kilometres away.” Vega then powered up the Tram and told them where to locate the Security Station to gain access to the Tram. They then continued on slaying more demons.

They then found a Pinky Demon, Sunset grinned “It seems the portal is bringing many of our old friends out to play. Let’s get them.” The Slayer nodded as the pair dispatched it quickly and it’s cohort in short order. They then find a Pinky Demon had taken their security card and they needed to hunt it down, clearing out more demons to find the specific one that had the card. They eventually tracked down the demon and the dead guy with the keycard in his mouth.

They then clear out more demons before heading to the Tram. They board the Tram, Sunset frowned “Do you want to kill Samuel Hayden, he is helping but I still don’t like him much.”

Slayer shrugged “We’ll make that call when he stops being useful.”

Once they were almost there Samuel Hayden informed them “It’s time we meet in person, my office on the second floor of this facility.”

Slayer clenched his fists “Time for answers one way or the other.” They headed through the facility slaughtering more demons. They found their way to Dr Samuel Hayden’s room when Slayer’s suit began to seemingly malfunction.

Dr Samuel Hayden then appeared as the door opened “Do not be alarmed by the system update - it is a prototype of our interdimensional tether - a means for me to pull you back from Hell. I’m sorry for the jolt but I didn’t think you’d allow it’s installation voluntarily.” He then turned to Sunset “Sadly none of your equipment is compatible with this.”

Sunset frowned “I don’t trust you and that certainly is not helping.”

Dr Samuel Hayden nodded “Well let me formally introduce myself. I’m Dr Samuel Hayden. I have supplies in my office. This was please.” Sunset and Slayer followed him cautiously.

Samuel Hayden sat down at his table “The destruction of the Argent Tower is … devastating … but I am committed to helping close the portal. All of our work and understanding of their world is derived from inscriptions on a large stone artifact we pulled from Hell in the earliest days of the program - we call it the Helix Stone. It is our most closely guarded asset - Olivia was obsessed with it.”

Sunset frowned “Why did you trust her?”

Samuel Hayden let out a mechanical sigh “Not many are willing to work with such demonic energy, at least highly skilled personnel. We took who we could get early in the program's life. From the Helix Stone we learned how to manipulate Hell’s energy - bend it to our will - take advantage of their resources. It also led us to you. The Helix Stone showed us how to harness the power of the Well. I believe it will show you how to shut it down as well. For years Olivia kept the Helix in her private office in Lazarus Labs which is only accessible through a secure elevator from the Advanced Research Station across the chasm. ”

He then turned to the Slayer “Your affinity for guns is apparent - I’m confident you’ll find something useful there as well. The service elevator is at the end of the hall.”

Slayer nodded “Contact us should you discover anything.” Once they left Slayer frowned “I don’t trust him but let's get this demon invasion stopped then figure this out.” Sunset nodded as they headed out. They then proceeded to slay more demons on their way. They made their way into the weapons facility and slain more demons.

They then picked up the upper torso of a dead staff member.Sunset shrugged “What’s the bet we need him to open something.” Slayer shook his head as they left the room, they used his corpse to enter a room and then after a minor altercation with the security system the Slayer got his hand on the BFG 9000. Sunset grins “Now that is a weapon, let's blow up some demons.”

Slayer nodded as the two left the room which they then proceeded to slaughter more demons before heading up an Elevator. They did more demon hunting as they continued onwards before heading onwards, they were contacted by Samuel Hayden “Olivia activated the Hell wave from somewhere inside this facility, I did hope she could rise above their influence, I was wrong. She proved to be weaker than I thought she’d be.”

Sunset frowned “Demon's influence is quite strong, you being a cyborg might have protected you.” Sunset and Slayer continued onward clearing out demons as they did so. They then found their way to the Helix Stone. After unlocked they got vision of an ancient weapon they knew of as the Crucible.

Samuel Hayden commented “The Crucible - that’s what she was looking for. Vega, did you get the coordinates?” Vega told them they have to rupture an Argent accumulator to get to Hell, Samuel Hayden then told them that he could use the tether to get the Slayer back.

Sunset shrugged “I’ll simply piggy back off his tether.” They then headed out to return to Hell once more, slaying demons as they did so.

They found their way into a room with a hologram recording of when Olivia activated the Hell Wave. Samuel Hayden’s voice came over the comms “I pulled the Slayer from that tomb in the Kadingir Sanctum for this reason, I knew she was weak, our work doesn’t come without risks and I released the Slayer from that prison to help mitigate those risks. I knew in the event of catastrophe, you’d be the only thing that could stop them.”

Sunset frowned “What about me?”

Samuel Hayden responded “Well, you were found earlier but there was no record of you. Given the durability of your containment only the Slayer could have freed you. It seems they were trying to hide your existence as anything more than novelty that would be ignored by everyone. You were dangerous enough that demons wanted to hide you based on your performance in the facility so far.”

Sunset grinned “Good, they know to fear me.” The duo continued onward slaying more demons. They headed through a portal entering an arena full of demons, Sunset and the Slayer then swept through demons with ease. They then found a door only to get a message from Samuel Hayden “You need to rip out the Argent Accumulator powering the Cyberdemon, destabilising the core will cause a rift to send you back to Hell. Once the Crucible is in your possession, we will pull you out.” Sunset and Slayer activate the door opened only for it to be fully opened by the upgraded Cyberdemon. Sunset punched it into the arena sending it flying, Sunset grinned “Let’s have some fun.”

Sunset and the Slayer got on either side of the Cyberdemon, Sunset punched it across the room only Slayer to hit it back. Sunset and Slayer began ping ponging the Cyberdemon between the two of them. They then rip out the core of the creature’s corpse which transported them to Hell, Sunset grinned “Well that went well.”

The creature then stood up revived by Hell’s energies only for Sunset to rip it’s head clean off allowing them to continue forward. Sunset and Slayer looked at the giant corpse in front of them, Sunset sighed “We haven’t fought anything as tough as that guy in a while.”

Slayer shrugged “It was made to kill us.” The pair continued on, jumping down the corpses’ throat slaying more demons inside. Sunset and Slayer continued making their way through the Titan’s corpse clearing out the demonic temple built inside it’s remains. They picked up a yellow skull and then after an easy to avoid trap continued on their demon slaying rampage. They then find the blue skulls and then kill a bunch more demons.

Sunset raised an eyebrow “These demons are predictable, very predictable.”

Slayer shrugged, “Well we have been fighting them a long time, they tend to do things the same way.” They continue onwards taking a portal to a new area after slaying more demons.

Equestrians

Luna looked at Discord “The Demons made that thing to kill them.”

Discord grinned “Yes but it wasn‘t enough. Not even close to enough. The Slayer alone could have destroyed that creature but the two of them made it look like a joke.”

Twilight wondered “I wonder if I could have handled all this?’

Discord shook his head “Sunset is an old school Equestrian in many ways, during the Griffon and Dragon Wars she would have quickly become a war hero of incredible renown. Sadly in the modern era or peace, ponies like her don’t really have a place. Becoming Celestia's student probably didn’t help, being cooped up in the castle while seeking glory.”

Fluttershy nodded “We don’t have much place for warriors outside of tournaments? We should host tournaments in Canterlot for great warriors to test their metal against each other.”

Luna grinned “Great idea, I’ll set it up when I return.”

Discord nodded “Well let’s get this done, so you can do that.”

Sunset

Sunset and the Slayer continued slaying their way through Hell. Sunset yawned “This is getting really boring, being overpowered sucks.”

Slayer nodded “Hopefully something put up a modicum of challenge.” Two two continue on picking up a yellow skull on their way before heading into another arena room to slay more demons. They then pick up a blue skull. After clearing out more demons and descending further they heard a demonic voice “They must not reach the Crucible.”

Sunset chuckled “How are you going to stop us!” They then look to see a giant skull, Sunset gave a thumbs up “That’s Icon of Sin, missed him. Maybe we can fight his entire body this time.” Slayer nodded as they continued slaying demons. Then they found a door which teleported them to an arena with a giant demon construct with a worm demon inside of it.

Sunset smirked as the shield formed around it, charged at the shield and each strike she delivered cracked the shield. When it attacked the shield dropped, soon it was felled as Sunset ripped the worm out and squashed it with her hooves “That was fun.”

Slayer nodded “Yes, haven’t seen that before, seems they have got some new tricks.” Two more of them materialised but without their shield they went down much faster, Sunset killed one while Slayer killed the other. They then acquired the Crucible.

Sunset smiled as several sentinel spirits materialised. “It is an honour, brothers.” The Slayer’s tether then activated, Sunset tethering to him as he was pulled back, her being pulled along with him.

When they returned Samuel Hayden's voice is heard “You have the Crucible and with it, the means to contain the power of the Well. We have a plan to send you there. VEGA will walk you through the process.”

They continue forward when Vega explains “This is my primary operating facility. It is where I was created and where my core processing unit is maintained. It takes approximately 2.4 terawatts of power to sustain my operational capabilities, but it has been decided that we can use that power to send you through the portal. I will not survive the procedure and am unable to self-terminate … So I will walk you through the procedure.”

Sunset looked forlornly at Slayer. Vega continued “All interior and exterior facility doors have been secured. You will need to begin by finding a way in and disabling security systems.”

The two headed in, Sunset carelessly ripping the demons apart. Slayer frowned “You okay?”

Sunset gritted her teeth “I didn’t pay much attention to VEGA’s words but he might be dying today.”

Slayer frowned “He is an AI. He is not alive.”

Sunset shook her head “I can’t just ignore this, you will have to do the procedure. I can’t.” Slayer nodded as they continued on.

As they opened a hatch, VEGA explained further “My security systems operate on two separate neural networks that terminate in this maintenance facility. Each termination point is protected by an electrical field, but you should be able to survive the surge.”

Slayer pulled the first termination point and then after slaughtering more demons he did the same with the second. The Slayer then activated VEGA’s shutdown, VEGA told them “My vital operating systems are now vulnerable. I recommend destroying my coolant system first. This will accelerate the destabilisation process.” They then clear out the demons in the room before proceeding. They then cleared out more demons in the facility, Sunset was quiet as the slaughter continued.

Sunset and Salyer then found an elevator headed down to VEGA’s cooling centre. They entered the cooling centre where VEGA explained “You are looking at the only absolute zero cooling system ever constructed. It took years to perfect. Destroy each of the four coolant generators. Once they are no longer functional, my primary systems should begin to meltdown.”

Slayer destroyed one then Sunset proceeded to slaughter the demons while Slayer destroyed the four coolant generators. They then made their way to a ledge over a track, VEGA told them “The train below will take you to the entrance.” They jump on the train, VEGA stuttered “For you to access my core, the demonic threat must be removed from the room ahead.”

Sunset and the Slayer slaughtered the demons with ease. They then made their way to an elevator, as it began rising VEGA stuttered “I am losing memory capabilities…control of neural functions are…minimal.”

They then heard Samuel Hayden’s voice “Once VEGA’s core is destroyed the vacuum of energy will back through to Hell, we now have toe location set, to the Well’s location. Now use the Crucible to power it down and the portal here on Mars will be closed…permanently. They will not allow access to the Well without a fight, but that’s what you’re looking for, isn’t it?”

Sunset clenched her fists as the Slayer nodded. They arrive at the top to see VEGA’s core looked like a strange mechanical brain. Slayer then pulled out two cores that looked similar to Argent Cores. Sunset and Slayer approach the console, Slayer looks over the console before backing up VEGA and storing VEGA’s backup in his suit, Sunset smiling at him as he initiates the core’s destruction “Thanks for saving him.”

Slayer nodded as Samuel Hayden said “Thank you, VEGa.”

VEGA responded “I have many regrets Dr Hayden.”

The explosion then teleported Sunset and Slayer back into Hell. They then proceeded forward slaying demons. After making their way through they heard a demonic voice “Kill them.” They ignored it as they pressed on massacring more demons. They then used the crucible to draw out the power of a Wraith trapped by the Demons. They then continued on only to hear the demonic voice once again “They must not be allowed to free them.”

Sunset growled “You will not steal their power anymore!” They charged forward slaying all the demons around what seemed to be a demonic temple. They claim the power of the second Wraith. They headed forward slaying more demons. They then claimed the third Wraith’s power. They soon stumbled upon Olivia Pierce, Sunset blinked “She’s still alive?”

Olivia Pierce in a semi resigned voice tinged with anger “They promised sao much.” Then a bolt of demonic lightning struck her as she sunk into the demonic symbol beneath her before a Spiderdemon emerged from the ground. Sunset and Slayer charged the creature.and quickly brought it down. Slayer was tethered back with Sunset tethering to him to return.

Samuel Hayden explained “ You’ve won - it’s over. You two stopped the invasion and closed the portal. But it’s come at a price- Argent, VEGA. This entire operation. You see, I’ve watched you two work - come to understand your motivation. You two think the only way is to kill them all- leave nothing behind - and you may be right. But we can’t shut it all down. Without Argent Energy it will be worse. I don’t expect you to agree.”

He then took the Crucible “But with this we can continue our work. I am not the villain in this story. I do what I do because there is no choice. Our time is up. I can’t kill you - but I can’t have you standing in my way. Until we see each other again.” The Tether then teleported Sunset and Slayer to a different location.

Equestrians

Fluttershy frowned “Where did they end up?”

Discord crossed his arms “I’m not sure, what I do know is that they find their way to somewhere safe.”

Luna frowned, “That Samuel Hayden caused a lot of trouble.”

Twilight grimaced “Why do I get a feeling something really bad happened?”

Discord nodded “Yes the Demonic Invasion of Earth. You might want to take break before that one happens.”

Once they all assembled Fluttershy looked at Discord “Let’s get started.’ He nodded without a word, starting the projections.

Sunset

Sunset and the Salyer were preparing to head to Earth. VEGA confirmed “Attempting to locate Hell Priest signal….” Slayer grabbed a shotgun as Sunset clenched her fists. Vega confirmed “We have the Hell Priest’s signal locked in. The target is marked but the signal will not hold for long.” The Slayer checked his wrist blade before putting on his helmet.

A portal is then opened by VEGA that Sunset and Slayer step into. They emerge in a room full of weak possessed humans which they slaughter. VEGA informs them “I have located the Hell Priest’s signal . I will mark it on HUD.” They move forward past entire crates of possessed humans, slaying a few that were uncontained. They then moved forward slaying the demons in their way.

Soon Sunset and Slayer got their hands on the Hell Priest Deag Nilox, Deag Nilox choked out “My soul remains guarded. You can’t…” Slayer used a holy medallion to nullify his protection and decapitated the Hell Priest via choking. They took his head with them. They left the building only for them to see a giant demon towering over the ruined city.

Sunset pointed at the giant demon “We’ll deal with you later.”

VEGa then gave an update “The first Hell Priest has been terminated. The demonic consumption of Earth has reduced by 36.8%. There are two Hell Priests remaining.” Sunset and the Slayer continued on. There were relics of failed human resistance scattered about the landscape. They continued slaying demons in their path. They collected a yellow key card and then slaughtered more demons as they travelled across the battered landscape.

They found their way into a subway slaying demons and heading through a crashed train. They then cleared out more demons. After clearing out more demons VEGA informed Sunset and Slayer “The Khan Makyr is nearby. She is inside that demonic citadel. I will mark that location on your HUD.”

Sunset growled “We will be having some word with her! I assure you!”

Sunset and Slayer charged into the Citadel through a demonic portal. VEGA informed them as they exited the portal “The gathering of Hell Priests is located just above your location. My scans indicate there is a lift at the centre of the facility. Sunset and Slayer charged into the facility. As they found and activated the elevator, VEGA informed them “The Khan Makyr is present at this gathering, but when outside of her domain she is by all accounts indestructible.”

Sunset clenched her fist “I’ll find a way around that!”

The two remaining Hell Priests looked at them as they rose into their sanctum, Deag Ranak exclaimed “H…how can this be?” No man can pass through the Gate! It is… Slayer then tossed the head of Deag Nilox before them.

Deag Grav stammered as Sunset and Slayer approached him “”The..the..this stops nothing…”

Deag Ranak continued “The sacrament of this world to the great Khan Makyr will be made, and the energy will be restored once again…”

Deag Grav then followed “...as it is written, from the souls of non-believers!”

Deag Ranak finished “You will not save them from their judgement!”

The duo then prepared for combat only for two Hell Priests to teleport away. Sunset chuckled, “Only delaying the inevitable, so pathetic.” Slayer nodded.

The Khan Makyr themselves materialised, staring down at them “You go too far this time. You cannot interfere. This is humanity’s chance to repent, to give service to us.”

Sunset frowned “You think yourself gods, you're not. You only pretend to be so you can serve your own egos.”

The Khan Makyr continued as Sunset and Slayer walked away “You cannot resist the will of the Khan Makyr.”

VEGA’s voice came over their comms “Activating the portal now.”

The voice of Khan Makyr trailed off “For it was you who went meant to enfo…”

They arrive back at their home base, the Fortress of Doom. VEGA’s voice echoes around them “I do not have the means to locate the second Hell Priest. Your Celestial Locator is missing a component. We will need a replacement.”

Slayer activated the portal location of Exulita on the computer. He then pushed down the activator, Sunset and Slayer head through the portal. They arrive at an abandoned temple and head for the main building, the Slayer leaping from pillar to pillar while Sunset flew across.

They then take out some minor demons before continuing on. None of the demons were particularly strong. They also acquired a powerup for Slayer allowing him to hit even harder. They then moved forward slaughtering more demons while avoiding lightning traps. They then jump into a pit and slaughter the demons then move forward killing a few stragglers on their way forward.

They then head into a building killing more demons and then head outside. After clearing more out more demons and travelling further to collect another power up for Slayer, Sunset and Slayer arrived in the throne room of the Sentinel King Novik.

The Sentinel’s King’s ghostly voice was heard as they approached the centre “Why are you here?” The Slayer activated a device on his armour causing the floor to open up, as the floor rose revealing a device the King’s ghostly voice was heard once more “It is not yours to take.” The Slayer picked up the device, and they turned around to see the Sentinels King’s ghostly form, Slayer and Sunset bow as he warned them “You cannot kill the Priests. You know our laws - despite their transgressions against the covenant they are still of Sentinel blood. What you interfere with now is bigger than you can imagine. It is written, it is their time to give penance - if you continue you will bring down the heaven’s wrath.”

They stand up and turn around picking up the device, the King continues looking at them “You are but two individuals,” He then looks at the Slayer “They are no longer your people to save!” Slayer turns back only to see the King had vanished, they head out of the building slaying some demons foolish enough to bar their path. They head through a portal leading to Hell once more where Slayer picked up a weapon followed by the duo slaughtering more demons.

Sunset and Slayer then find a power core and use it to power a giant mechanical to clear the path before them. They then continue on their way crossing a chasm to head upward when they slaughter more demons. The duo activate a door and head down slaying more demons before moving forward. Sunset and Slayer get another power core before slaying more demons. They use that power core to crave a way through a demon using a spear of giant mech.

Sunset and Slayer move forward, they dive through the creature’s insides slaying a few demons in their way. They punch their way out leading to slaughtering more demons. After fighting through several waves of demons as they progressed, they found another power core. They used the power cell to power another mech’s shoulder cannon to open a path.

Sunset and Slayer made their way through the demon’s corpse before slaying more demons. The duo soon found a huge chasm filled with platforms that dropped when they were stood on. The Slayer made his way across the Chasm while Sunset flew across watching closely until they made it to the other side. They pushed forward slaying more demons.

Sunset and Slayer continued on, as they did so VEGA informed them “The Betrayer’s life signal is nearby.”

Sunset growled “I want to have some words with him.” The Slayer nodded.

They found their way to a door. As the door opened, VEGA scanned the area “There are motion sensors and artillery everywhere.” They watched as a bunch of red glowing interlinked lasers dissipated. They approached the Betrayer sitting on the rock.

The Betrayer looked over to them before looking at his spent campfire, “I told you all to leave me here. I am where I belong.” Slayer put the device they had collected on the other rock. Sunset glared at the Betrayer. Betrayer looked at the Salyer “Saving your people will not bring you peace… only make the burden you carry worse.”

He then stands up taking the device and powering it with a power core. He then handed it back to the Slayer, as he grabbed it he held onto for a moment “And now you seek to defy the Khan Makyr herself. It is your people’s time now to give penance.. just as it was mine.”

He then let go of the device the Slayer took it walking away from him. Sunset growled “We don’t need advice from a traitor.” She turned around as well. Betrayer focused on the Slayer “Hear me, Slayer - When his heart is laid to rest then his soul will be at peace.” The Betrayer tossed the Slayer a dagger’s hilt which he caught. The two of them then left the Betrayer's current home.

Shortly after they left VEGA informed them “The evacuation point has been. I will mark its location on your HUD.” Sunset and Slayer headed in that direction. After travelling over the pit’s lava, they land turning their attention towards the demons around them beginning the slaughter. After the demons were slain, they headed back through the portal.

Once they returned VEGA’s voice was heard “You can now find the remaining Hell Priests by activating your Celestial Locator.” Slayer inserted the device into the machine, VEGA continued “The second Hell Priest is located in the northern region of Earth. I will calibrate the portal now.”

The Slayer then presses the activation button and the two head through the portal. Sunset and Slayer arrive in the arctic tundra where they press onward slaying demons as they manoeuvre through the landscape. After slaying more demons, VEGA informs them “The Hell Priest is somewhere in this facility. I cannot pinpoint his exact location at this time.”

Sunset shrugged “Well we’ll just have to hunt him down then.” The duo pressed onward. They slain more demons and activated a skull device. As they were about to head out a projection of Deag Ranak appeared “Welcome, Slayer, Blood Queen. Is my time at an end? Let’s see if you're strong enough to survive this cursed citadel.”

Sunset grinned “Blood Queen. I like it, about time I gained some recognition from them.” They then pressed on, driven by the desire to end the Hell Priest’s arrogance. They slaughtered more demons as they pressed further through the citadel. They acquire a cultist key and then after a quick round of demon slaughter use it to press onward. Sunset and Slayer eventually find their way to a place where they are attacked by a serpentine, part humanoid demon which they quickly eliminate.

Then more demons emerge which are quickly torn apart by Sunset and Slayer. They make their way forward, finding themselves facing more demons, the projection of Deag Ranak commands his forces “The beasts draw near to me my brothers and sisters, but they are weak. Your hate must match their will, only then will you be truly saved.”

Sunset’s eyes started twitching as she raised her hand, all the demons exploded their essence flying into her body “Weak, you calling us weak.”

Slayer put a hand on her shoulder “Relax, don’t let him get to you. Save your anger for when we get to him.”

Sunset began to calm down and they pressed on. They then heard Deag Ranak again “Your salvation lies in his destruction.” He then continues “The myth of the Slayer’s and Blood Queen’s strength is exposed to us, can you see it brothers? They have lost the resolve to continue.”

Sunset chuckled darkly “He is crazy to be saying such things where we can hear him.” They pressed on.

VEGA updated them “Your Super Shotgun is nearby. A relic from your past - the Priests have kept it hidden from you in this remote location.” Sunset grinned as they made their way to it’s location. They slain a few demons and activated a switch before pressing onward. They cleared out demons along their path. They pressed onward until they found a demon in a cage.

The Slayer activated a device, VEGA informed them “Neural connection successful. You are now in control of the Revenant drone. You may use it to reclaim your property.” The device turned around, Sunset waited as Slayer controlled the drone to collect and return with the Super Shotgun. The drone returns offering the super shotgun to the Slayer.

The Slayer then blows the demon to pieces with the Super Shotgun. Sunset and Slayer then press onwards. They rampaged through the demons in their path. They make their way to the surface where they slay more demons. They open a door only to hear Deag Ranak once more “Are you growing tired Slayer, Blood Queen? We will break both of your wills yet.”

Sunset and Slayer proceed to slaughter more demons on their way forward. They find another projection of Deag Ranak “I don't fear either of you. This match is not won yet. Come find me, Slayer, Blood Queen. I will be waiting.” The duo pressed on heading outside where they slaughtered more demons as they headed towards their destination.

Sunset and Slayer arrived at the hiding place of Deag Ranak by a futuristic demonic train. Vega informed them “The Hell Priest’s position is stable now, and his Guardian is somewhere in the facility ahead.” The duo nodded as they pressed forward slaying more demons in their way. They soon were greeted by another hologram of Deag Ranak “It is not easy to find warrior worthy of the Slayer or the Blood Queen but I think you will be impressed.” Sunset and Slayer pressed onward. They slain more demons as they sought out their objective. After more travelling and slaying of demons they activated a green skull switch. They progress forward activating another switch.

Sunset and Slayer press onwards slaying demons in their path. They found a red keycard and had another encounter with the hologram of Deag Ranak “Was it not the Slayer and the Bood Queen who brought the demons to us? The Khan Makyr as you to thank for the gift of Argent Energy. It is you who are responsible for humanity’s suffering.”

Sunset and Slayer ignored him as they pressed onward. They continued their warpath through the facility and then headed outside continuing on their way. They moved back into the facility, eventually Sunset and Slayer entered a room where Deag Ranak started to speak as a powerful demon was put together before them “I thought you would appreciate the Sentry I chose - The great Agaddon Hunters from the Telos Realm. Though long thought to be extinct - created to only hunt the Slayer, the Blood Queen and their Night Sentinels during the Unholy Crusades. Some improvements to their designs have been made. Enjoy what is undoubtedly my finest work.”

Sunset and Slayer charge the creature as it moves to attack them. Sunset rips the creature out of it’s base and kills it. The duo then head down and quickly dispatch two more of them. Deag Ranak stuttered as they approached “...th…the..beasts…does they…they…not seek enhanced power. Gifts to aid them in their…noble conquest…perhaps in return for my-”

Sunset grabs Deag Ranak’s head and crushes it into a bloody pulp, tossing a holy medallion on his corpse. The duo then returned to the base.

Fluttershy frowned “Well I’m glad Rainbow’s not here, she hates traitors.”

Luna frowned “I don’t understand why they didn’t kill the Betrayer where he stands.”

Discord shook his head “Probably because he is useful to have around and killing him would be too good for what he has done. He has lived with that guilt forever. More than a worthy punishment.”

Twilight looked at Discord with worry “Sunset seemed pretty manic for a second there.”

Discord shook his head. “Sunset is a very proud individual, calling her weak was a grave insult in her mind which is why she reacted so violently.”

Flutterhsy then nodded to Discord “Let’s continue.”

Sunset

As they returned to the base, the light started to flicker as VEGA informed them “Our system is being corrupted.”

They then heard the voice of the Khan Makyr as their hologram materialised the room “This game has gone far enough.”

Vega then comments “I will have her transmission removed in a moment.”

The Khan Makyr continued “Despite the loss of the priests, Earth will fall and my people will survive. I will answer the human’s prayers, reward those that believe.”

VEGA interrupted “This HUB was of Makyr design - she knows the systems well.”

Khan Makyr continued once more “The final priest will be moved to a discreet location, so our work can continue without further disruption.”

VEGA informed them “The Third Hell Priest’s signal is no longer visible to us. There is a 41.3% increase in demonic activity at the nexus of the initial invasion. That is the largest gore nest on Earth. I will set the portal coordinates for the Super Gore Nest now.”

Slayer then activates the portal and the duo heads out once again. Once they left the main building they appeared in, VEGA informed them “The Super Gore Nest’s location is nearby. This is the site where the invasion began, the oldest and most corrupted location on the planet. The Arc fought hard but they were eventually driven out by the demons.”

Sunset and Slayer continue onwards towards the Super Gore Nest. Sunset and Slayer charged forward, ripping apart the demons crossing their path. They broke a few holograms praising the demons. They cleared out the demons in around the Super Gore Nest only to find the entrance blocked by a purple barrier. They then placed a yellow gore key that had found into one the strange devices that dissolved the purple barrier and opened part of the way forward.

Sunset groaned as they had to find more keys, Slayer shrugged as they pressed forward clearing out more demons. After jum, pign down a few steep drops they found the Super Gore Nest’s core, VEGA informed them “This is the heart of the nest. It has taken root in the facility’s main power generator. Reactivating the generator will destroy the nest.”

Sunset and Slayer began moving forward to reactivate the generator. They slaughtered any demon in their way, Slayer used a rad suit nearby while Sunset flew over the irradiated areas. They collected a red gore key, VEGA informed them “You now have access to the Heart Chamber.”

Sunset and Slayer pressed onward, clearing out demons with ease. They make their way to the Heart Chamber, VEGA informs them “The generator is in a dormant state. Two nearby control terminals will need to be manually activated to restore full power. Unlocking the left terminal room now.” The duo head to the left and flip the switch which causes part of the generator to go up destroying part of the connected tissue of the core.

Sunset and Slayer are informed by VEGA “50% of power has been restored. The second control terminal still requires activation to destroy the nest. I’m unable to open the door to the second terminal at this time. You need to find an alternate route.” Sunset and Slayer shrugged, pressing onward ploughing through demons. They then head through a portal, slaying demons and destroying a demonic totem. The duo press forward slaying demons and moving through another area that has radioactive floors. They then located a blue gore key using it to continue further.

Sunset and Slayer make their way back to the beginning of the Super Gore Nest and use the keys to open up the upper path. VEGA informed them “The Hellified Barrier has opened. This airshaft will provide access to the generators' control terminal.” They headed down before activating the second generator. VEGA informed them “The generator is at full power. You can now use the main console to destroy the Heart.”

Sunset and Slayer nodded heading into the main generator room. They activated the generator that started to blow the heart apart. VEGA informed them “The Generator is overloading. I have marked your exit portal.” The duo head for the portal slaying any demons stupid enough to bar their way. They escaped only for the Super Gore Nest to explode.

When they return VEGA informs them “The final Hell Priest location remains unknown. The demonic consumption of Earth will not be stopped until the last Hell Priest and his guardian are destroyed. We will require assistance in order to locate the final Hell Priest. I believe Dr Hayden can help with our search. I will calibrate the Portal to the ARC’s command station.”

Sunset grumbled “We could use an apology from him.” The duo activate the portal heading through.

Twilight yawned, “It’s getting late, we’ll continue tomorrow.”

Discord nodded “Alright I’ll take Fluttershy home.” Fluttershy nodded as they left. Luna sighed as she went to find some coffee.

Discord brought Fluttershy to the room, Luna frowned “Let’s see what happens with Samuel Hayden.”

Fluttershy frowned “Given his behaviour, I’m surprised that they could trust him.”

Discord clicked his finger “Well let's show you.”

Sunset

Sunset and Slayer arrived inside an industrial looking room, VEGA informed them “Dr Hayden is just across this complex. This industrial campus was once the headquarters of the resistance.” They pressed onward to find the ARC, after entering an elevator that malfunctioned and dropped several floors they charged out slaying demons obstructing their forward path.

Along the way they kept hearing that Samuel Hayden was dead but they didn't buy that. They pressed onward. Once they arrived at the facility entrance, VEGA informed them ‘The entrance into Dr Hayden’s outpost is blocked. Two peripheral turrets identified. Calculating optimal firing path… confirmed. You can use both turrets to clear a path. I will mark them for you.”

Sunset and Slayer charged forward, slaying the demon’s in their way. They arrived at one of the turrets and used it to blow up one of giant tentacles barring their way. VEGA informed them “First target destroyed. The second turret will give you the angle to destroy the remaining tentacle.” They then headed off to get to the second cannon, slaying any demon foolish enough to bare their way. After heading down an elevator, they proceeded to clear out more demons barring their way. Sunset and their Slayer exterminate through a few rooms filled with goop they head up another elevator. They stepped out slaying any demon that got in their way.

Sunset and Slayer headed up to the next cannon and prepared to fire only to not fire, VEGA came over the comms “One moment. Override successful.” Slayer blasted the second tentacle to pieces. VEGA informed them “The path is now clear. You can access Dr Hayden’s outpost.”

Sunset grinend “Let’s get to Dr Hayden.” Sunset and Slayer left tearing apart the demons in their path as they made their way into the facility where the resistance was. They head up an elevator, as they go up VEGA informs them “Dr Hayden’s office laboratory is located at the top of this facility.” Sunset and Slayer exit the elevator, they move forward through the door in front of them.

An ARC scientist ran up to them as they entered “M…m…my…god…umm…D…D..Dr Hayden…was…convinced…um…that…you two would come for this…eventually.” The Slayer took the Crucible from them. That scientist continued “Uh…can I just say that it is an honour, for me, personally to meet you. I…oop!” He then bumps into the metal fence as the duo leave the room.

They then turn to see the ruined remains of Dr Samuel Hayden as they walk up the stairs, sirens blaring about an emergency evacuation. Sunset stared at him “Poor bastard. They really did a number on you.”

That ARC scientist from earlier ran over “We, ah…we don’t know how to access his mian cortex, it’s all…alien, and we couldn’t figure it out. We have to, ah, prepare for his very careful extraction and we were given specific orders…”

Slayer pulled him out of the machine by force and dragged him out. VEGA scanned him “His life signal is barely readable.” They were then informed of a level five demon threat entering the main laboratory. A portal then opened a pale partially armoured demon carrying a stopped out. VEGA informed them, “Opening the portal now.” The portal opened and Slayer tossed Samuel Hayden through it before it closed.

Sunset and Slayer faced their enemy. The enemy known as the Marauder stated “You were never one of us.” The Marauder brandished it’s crucible axe, it continued “You were nothing but a usurper. False Idols. My eyes have been opened. Let me help you see, Slayer, Blood Queen.”

Sunset cracked her neck before closing the distance, dodging the axe, ripping it out of the Marauder’s hand and taking it’s head off. Sunset decided to keep the axe. The duo then returned through the portal. VEGA informs them “You have now destroyed 68% of Hell’s occupying force. Without the Priests, the demons will not consume Earth as the Khan Makyr had planned. But there is still one Hell Priest left and I have lost his signal - I can no longer locate him.”

Slayer put Dr Samuel Hayden into the main system conduit and removed VEGA’s backup chip from the computer “I still have VEGA backed up, he can’t destroy him.”

Sunset nodded “Good.”

VEGA informed them “Dr Hayden will be able to find him. Dr Hayden is transferring himself to your ship’s mainframe, the architecture is similar to his own. This will-”

Dr Samuel Hayden informed them “The final Priest is hiding in Sentinel Prime. The Khan Makyr doesn’t want him to be easily found. The only functional slip-gate to Sentinel Prime is in the core of Mars, in the lost city of Hebeth. I have marked it’s location for you but getting there will take time. There is no easy way to access the core of Mars.”

VEGA responded “There are no known pathways that lead there, Dr Hayden.”

Slayer then brought up a slide where their facility explained “The BFG-10,000: designed by Dr Samuel Hayden as part of the anti-demon defence grid.”

VEGA responded “I understand. Searching the coordinates to the BFG-10,000 now.”

Samuel responded “You can’t just shoot a hole into the surface of Mars..”

Sunset grinned “Watch me!”

VEGA informed them “The portal is ready!” They activated the portal and went through it. They appeared at the facility, alarms were busing as UAC scientists were looking at the duo in shock and horror. The duo continued throughout the facility. The Slayer drags a guy by his keycard to unlock the door.

Sunset and Slayer continue on. A UAC guard shouts at the duo then trails off as he recognises them “Hey! Who are you? You can’t be…here…” Slayer walks up to him and takes his gun on the way through.

VEGA informed them “The entrance to the BFG-10,000 is just across from this facility.”

Dr Samuel Hayden joined the conversation “The power of the BFG-10,000 should be of interest to you as well.” The duo then headed forward clearing out any demons in their way. They hopped through a portal then continued on their warpath getting closer to BFG-10,000. On their way across a bridge, Dr Hayden informs them “The Entrance is locked, they know you are trying to get in.”

VEGA responded “The schematics show a maintenance hatch on the bridge.” Sunset and Slayer head through the maintenance hatch to get inside. They then continued on clearing out the demons in their way.

Sunet and Slayer heard a voice above them as they came to hatch “I’m serious, those two don’t scare me. I’d like to see them try-” They fling the grate open as they jumped out to see tow guard pointing their weapon at them. Sunset smirks as the two guards put their weapons down and step aside. They walk past them, Sunset giving the one on the left a manic grin before continuing onward. The two guards then ran in fear of both of them.

VEGA then informed them “That control pod contains the energy source of the BFG-10,000. I’m lowering it for you now.”

There was a UAC guard in the pod, he was yelling “I’m telling you, he's on his way! I need you to-” He was tossed to the side by the Slayer. Slayer smirked under his helmet as Sunset grabbed the trigger like a little girl who was just gifted a pony for her birthday. The pod went up into the BFG 10,000 and she turned it around aiming it at Mars. She pulled the trigger and it didn’t fire.

The facility voice echoed “Warning. Mars surface targeted. Safety Mechanism activated.”

VEGA asked “Would you like me to disable the safety protocols?” Sunset pressed trigger multiple times in response. VEGA disengaged the safety lock. The blast hit the surface of Mars leaving a massive crater. VEGA informed them “The pod is set to self-destruct.We should move ahead.” Slayer then extracted the power source which was a weapon itself. The pod then fell shattering.

Sunset and Slayer charged out of it, slaying any demons stupid enough to get in their way. Dr Hayden contacted them “The emergency exit portals should take you directly to the Mars surface facility.” They headed out slaying more demons and then headed through a portal that led them to a bunch of rubble floating in space. Hayden informed them “You can use the facility escape pods to get down to the Mars core, but we have no way of reaching it from here.”

Sunset and Slayer travelled across the wreckage of the facility eradicating any demons getting in their way. They then made their way to a switch where they activated manual loading for a cannon. Samuel informed them “That is a weapon, not a teleporter.”

Sunset shrugged “Doesn't matter, it will get us where we need to go.” She and the Slayer headed over to it. They activated the cannon and kicked the ammo out of the way taking it’s place.

VEGA stated “Override loading sequence fire. In 3,2,1.” The slammed through the wall of another part of the facility. They then got back to slaying demons as they charged forward. They found their way to another part of the facility after a few platforms where they slaughtered more demons as they continued forward.

Sunset and Slayer eventually found escape pods and boarded them. VEGA informed them “I’m charting a flight path to Mars. Calculating thrust vectors…launching in 3,2,1…” After launch VEGA continued “Approaching Planetary Entry Phase. Prepare for turbulence.” They slammed into the core of Mars.

Sunset and Slayer smashed their way out of their pods. Samuel explained the location “The Lost City of Hebeth. This was before your time with Sentinels. The Slipgate will lead you to Sentinel Prime where the Priest is hiding.” They charged forward slaying any demon that gets in their way. Once they took the gate they arrived in a familiar place to the both of them, they saw the Sentinels standing on either side as statues of Makyr stared down upon them. One of the Sentinels alerted the Priest.

Sunset and Slayer ignored them as they were allowed to pass. They soon headed down an elevator, they remember this when they first arrived here before Makyr. They moved forward, ready for the battles ahead. A hologram of the Khan Makyr appeared before them “I offer you, oh great powerful ones, a sign of truce.” The duo shake their heads as they press on. The Khan Makyr appeared to them again looking at the Slayer“I know of what you have left behind. Go back to it then, leave this crusade. You can not save them. They have asked me for this… and so I give it to them. If you let the Priest live, then I return to you what the demons took from you so long ago. You only need to turn back and it will be yours again.”

Sunset turned to him “Are you alright?”

Slayer nodded “I will not waver. I lost them then, I will keep fighting the demons and those who side with them. That is my promise.” The duo continued onward.

The Khan Makyr appeared again “I pity the humans, I do. Theirs is a hard role to play… but I too have a world to save. Without their souls there can be no Hell energy and the Argent will cease to flow. I cannot allow this to happen. You will not stand in the way of Urdak’s progress. This is how it has always been done - it is not for you to deny us our chance at prosperity.”

Sunset and Slayer continue undeterred. The Khan Makyr appeared once again “I cannot stand by and watch as you put our future at risk. Earth will be consumed and the energy will continue to flow. It is your people’s survival against mine.”

Sunset and Slayer continued onward, eventually ascending into the Arena. Deag Grav walked around them “If Sentinel holy blood is spilled on these grounds you will lose all sovereignty here…” A huge demon appeared in the arena with a giant shield. Sunset ripped his shield in half and they proceeded to tear the demon apart with ease. Deag Grav told them “Earth will be consumed, regardless of what ha-”

Slayer blows his brains out and then several Sentinel guards rush in. They hear Khan Makyr voice “Fool.”

VEGA then opened a portal “The portal is ready. We should leave immediately.” The duo walk back through the portal as the Slayer throws a Holy Medallion at the priest’s body.

Once they return the entire base is dark, Dr Hayden tells them “The Khan Makyr has overloaded your systems! Vega has no control over-”

The Khan Makyr voice can be heard as they rush to the console “If you had let the culling continue the human race you fight to protect would have survived. Now I will resurrect the Icon of Sin. He will devour Earth and leave your home world in ruins. Life on your planet will never return and this will be another world you brought to extinction. This stronghold will now serve as your prison.”

Demons flooded in Sunset roared as she started to slaughter them in rage and frustration. Slayer meanwhile walked further in and placed the Crucible in the power conduit restoring power to the station. Dr Hayden chuckled “She didn’t know you had the demonic Crucible. In the end, the very power source you sought to eradicate from the Earth is now what will help you save it…”

VEGA, having rebooted, informed them “The mission on Sentinel Prime was a success. The demonic consumption of Earth has been stopped.”

Samuel added to the conversation “Only a Slayer’s Crucible blade can stop a Titan. You must get to the Sentinel City of Tara Nabad before it’s too late. Without it, the Titan cannot be stopped.”

VEGA informed them “Setting the portal to Taras Nabad.”

Sunset and Slayer head through the portal. They arrived there. Dr Hayden stated “Your Crucible is still embedded in the Titan that attacked this Sentinel city. Your first battle against the demons in this world - where the legend of the Slayer began.”

Sunset nodded “I was definitely the sideshow back then but my unique abilities gained their interest.” The duo pressed onward slaying any demons in their path.

Once they passed the entry door and slew more demons, Dr Hayden commented “The great city of Taras Nabad. Site of the first recorded demon attack in Argent D’Nur. According to the Corax tablet the city would have been lost had it not been for the arrival of the Slayer.” Sunset and Slayer continued on slaying the demons in their wake. After a battle with more demons, Dr Hayden continued “All your strength, all your rage and you couldn’t save this world from itself… but this time Earth will be different. It is written that your hatred for the Demons gave the people of Argent D’Nur hope - as it does now on Earth.” They then continued on slaying demons as they sought the Slayer’s Crucible.

Sunset and Slayer soon entered a strange chamber, Slayer crossed his arms “This is the Divinity Machine where I was empowered.”

Sunset frowned “I can sense a strange power coming from it.” Sunset and the Slayer then shook their heads pressing onward slaying more demons that stood in their way. After clearing through a section where they have to lower the irradiated water, Sunset coasted herself in an aura of energy to protect from the radiation. Then as they continued forward, Sunset began drying her wings. They then rampaged their way through the demons in their path.

Sunset and the Slayer found the Titan, Samuels informed them “If the Crucible Blade is removed, the titan will rise again.” The duo approached the crucible blade, the Slayer wrenched the hilt off from the blade causing the demonic Titan to remain dead. Dr Hayden continued “Your Vault should contain what you need.” They pressed on to locate the Vault slaying the demons in their path.

As Sunset and Slayer pressed onward Dr Hyaden’s voice came over the comms “The world of Argent D’Nur has fallen. Divided, the demonic energy flows now to the south, and the society you once knew has been replaced by a corrupted world under Makyr rule. It did not need to end this way…”

Sunset shook her head “It never does but it happens, we have to live with that and move forward from it. Vow not to repeat it.” Sunset and Slayer continue onwards slaying the demons in their path. They eventually found their way to the vault and after triggering a few switches the duo entered the vault. They use a sigil that they stored in the vault to restore power to the Crucible.

Sunset and the Slayer pressed forward, breaking a hole in the floor of what looked like a ruined throne room of sorts. After a minor dunk in some irradiated water, Sunset shielding herself like before they caused a block to rise, shot a switch and pressed on to slay more demons. They then moved through another sewer section before slaying more demons in their path.

Sunset and Slayer soon find themselves at a well of energy, Slayer restores the blade with the well of energy. Dr Hayden's voice is heard “I’m sure you want to try out your weapon first before we leave.” After giving the Slayer time to test out the Crucible they left, returning to the base.

As soon as they return Dr Hayden informs them “Urdak is Makyr’s homeworld. It is not accessible to anyone, no human or Sentinel has ever set foot in their dimension. You can use the Makyr’s Argent factory in the Hell City of Nekravol to pass through the void - once there you will not be able to leave on your own… but VEGA can create an exit portal for you. That’s why you must bring VEGA with you through the void with you to Urdak.”

Slayer reinserted the backup drive, VEGA responded “Understood.I’m detaching myself from this ship’s systems…processing…total transfer to external drive complete.” They take the backup drive with them.

Samuel informs them “VEGA is no longer connected to your ship. I will reconfigure the portal to Nekravol for you.” He then asked “Do you need anything else before we journey to Urdak? You will not be able to return until the mission is complete.” Sunset and Slayer headed through the portal.

Discord frowned. “A lot was covered today, we will continue tomorrow.”

Fluttershy nodded “I was surprised that Samuel Hayden was so badly destroyed and he was treated quite roughly.”

Twilight took a deep breath “It seems this chapter is coming to a close soon.”

Discord shook his head “Not as soon as you may think.”

Luna turned to Twilight “That sounded ominous.” The two Alicorns decided to rest up for the night.

Sunset and Slayer arrived in Nekravol, Dr Hayden informed them “Argent Energy is made from the souls of Hell’s victims. This is where that takes place. Nekravol… the City of the Damned.” The duo charged forward, slaying any demon in their way. Soon they pass through a giant gate, Dr Hayden explains “Here the humans arrive from Earth - waiting to be selected for the process.”

Sunset and Slayer dove into a pit, activated a switch and destroyed the onrushing demons before pressing forward. They got into a cage to go upward, Dr Hayden informed them “The Khan Makyr needs Earth and its souls - her world is dying. The culling allows her people to replenish their resources and survive. As you save your world, you put hers in peril”

Sunset growled “When Earth isn’t enough, she will hunt down other worlds. We can’t have two codependent species consuming every other species in the universe for their souls.” Sunset and Slayer press onwards slaughtering more demons.

Dr Hayden informs them “Up ahead is Kalibas, the Sightless Judge. It determines who is fit to begin the soul extraction process. The rest will be discarded to the Blood Swamps.” They are soon dropped in front of Kalibas, a weird brain thing in a protective barrier. They destroy the orbs defending Kalibas and slaughter the demons around them. Dr Hayden told them “The shield has lowered. Now, while it’s exposed.” The duo charged, destroying the brain demon and pressing forward slaughtering the demons in their path. After moving through a few traps Dr Hayden informed them “The humans must be tortured, the flesh tenderised. Once enough pain has been inflicted, and the spirit broken, the soul is ready for the extraction process.”

Sunset and Slayer continued on their rampage as they charged forward. Dr Hayden continued explaining “Once the spirit is broken and enough pain has been inflicted, only when the human has lost all hope will it be transferred to the soul extraction chamber.” The duo continued onward on their bloody path. They destroy a statue of Olivia Pierce and head through the floor.

As Sunset and Slayer charge forward, Dr Hayden informs them “Inside that Citadel is the soul extraction chamber. We must make our way through and to the top where the pure Argent energy is exported directly to Urdak.” Once they enter the main building Dr Hayden’s voice comes over the comms “Your people are made to suffer - processed souls for the Khan Makyr’s world. I assure you this could have been avoided with… different leadership.”

Sunset and Slayer continued on, they arrived at the bottom of a shaft only for Dr Hayden to continue “This is raw Argent Energy. The suffering on Earth, of bloodshed, all of it for this. Once the soul is extracted the husk of the human body will over time transform into the demons your fight now. The extracted soul that remains will power their world…the essence of Hell.”

Sunset growled “Well I’m going to prevent them from getting it” as she started to absorb the Argent Energy and refining it within her body “I’m going to use the energy they made to destroy them, vengeance for the fallen.” Sunset and the Slayer pressed on slaughtering more demons.

As Sunset and Slayer headed up an elevator Dr Hayden informed them “The demons only utilise a portion of the resources that come from the human soul. It was the Makyrs and the Sentinel Priests who discovered and unlocked the true power of the Essence. They combined Sentinel and Hell energies together, refined it and created…Argent. With it they did wonderous things, saved worlds from extinction, healed the sick… and gave infinite power to those worthy of it. This facility was built in secret - the Night Sentinels never knew of its existence. Built by Sentinel slaves, for a Makyr can never set foot in Hell, nor Demon in Urdak. Argent D’Nur served a great purpose to the Makyrs.”

Sunset and Slayer charged forward destroying demons in their path. Dr Hayden continued “This machinery was not made without Hell’s knowledge. A deal was struck with the Dark Lord - in return for more worlds for Hell to devour, the Makyrs syphoned the energies from the Damned. It is an unholy union and it cannot be tolerated any longer.”

Sunset chuckled, “You used to be the biggest advocate of Argent Energy.” Sunset and Slayer pressed onward slaughtering demons in their way.

They got to an Elevator, Dr Hayden told them “Get to a transmitter tower. If you can destroy it, the unrefined energy should be able to propel you into their world.” Once the reach the top Dr Hayden continued “The tower is held aloft by two enslaved Titans. Break the chains, drop it into the well below.”

Sunset sighed in relief “Glad there’s still enough energy in there.” Sunset and Slayer charged forward, slaughtering the demons and shattering both chains.

As they were doing this, Dr Hayden told them “Now. Move quickly, you must break the chains and destroy the Argent transmitter, then ride the energy flow to Urdak.” Sunset and Slayer hopped into the energy flow being sent to Urdak. The two charged out, Dr Hayden’s voice came over the comms “Magnificent, isn’t it? Now quickly, the Khan Makyr is nearby - we must stop her before she completes the ritual and gains full control over the Icon of Sin.”

Sunset and Slayer pressed onward. Eventually entering a room where the facility said “Welcome, Seraphim.”

Khan Makyr turned to them “You can not stop the precession.” Multiple Makyrs were using their power to influence the Heart of the Icon of Sin. Khan Maykr screamed as Slayer brandished the dagger the Betrayer gave him “We will not be able to control it!” She screamed louder as Slayer stabbed the Heart “Noooo!” The Heart then exploded in a flash of light.

The Icon of Sin began to awaken, Sunset waved as it opened it’s eyes “Oh hi. Didn’t notice you there.” The Icon of Sin began corrupting the Makyrs in the room other than the Khan Makyr. It then opened a portal leaving the realm of Urdak heading to Earth. Sunset growled “We need to get there and stop it, fast!”

It’s movements caused them to slide down to a different part of the facility. They got up to find a good exit point to leave Urdak. They pressed forward demons and corrupted Makyr appeared only to be quickly cleared out by the duo. They continued to charge forward and eliminated the demons before them. During the battle Samuel Hyaden informed them “The Icon of Sin is no longer in the Khan Makyr’s control. The longer he is on Earth, the stronger he will grow. There is a portal we can use to follow it, we must reactivate the gate and get back to Earth.”

Sunset and Slayer nodded as they sped up their escape plans, slaughtering the demons as quickly and efficiently as possible. Soon they found their way outside “Where Dr Hayden informed them as they moved “There is a gate we can use here on Urdak to get back to Earth, but you will need to reconfigure the teleporter rings to activate it. We must move quickly, for the Icon of Sin grows more powerful the longer it is on Earth.”

Sunset and Slayer continued ploughing through demons at a breakneck pace. Soon they arrived at the control centre for the portal. Samuel told them “Now, insert VEGA to activate the portal.”

VEGA’s voice came through the machine “System acquired. Setting a course for Earth dimension now. I can… see now… am I the Father, Dr Hayden?”

Samuel then told them “You must get the other teleporter rings aligned before it’s too late. The gate must be reactivated. The longer the Icon of Sin is on Earth the stronger he will become.”

Sunset frowned “What about VEGA?”

Slayer put a hand on her “We will swing around to pick him up before we leave.” Sunset and Slayer rushed off to align the other rings, clearing out the demons in their path.

Dr Hayden told them as they continued onwards “The Khan Makyr needs the Earth to be consumed by demons or her world will die.” He then continued as they made their way further in “By awakening the Icon of Sin inside Urdak, the seal has been broken. Now the demons may pass throughout the void as never before. You have brought her people, and this holy place eternal… damnation. But it was arrogant to bring the dormant Icon here. Her Hubris has shattered paradise.”

They soon arrived at the second device aligning the second ring. They then continued onward at a rapid pace, slaughtering any demon in their way with ruthless efficiency. They made their way to their last button aligning the final teleporter ring. Samuel informed them as they rushed out “With the rings fully aligned the dimensional gate to Earth is now open. Get to the landing platform and pass through the portal - Earth does not have much time left!”

As they were going to circle back VEGA contacted them “I would like to stay here, I have much to learn about my past. Sunset I must thank you for your concern over my wellbeing.”

Sunset smiled, “Thank you for everything VEGA.”

Sunset and Slayer headed for the portal to Earth. As they went up the elevator, Dr Hayden contacted them “The Khan Makyr is nearby. She cannot let you leave this place alive. She is invulnerable when she has the orb within her chest, once removed her defences will be down.”

They heard the Khan Makyrs voice “For millennia we have survived. Made others sacrifice in the name of our prosperity - so they may in turn find redemption. Who are you, a human, once a mortal, to defy our traditions?” The battle commenced as Sunset and Slayer used their strength and power to break her shields causing massive damage bringing the Khan Makyr to the ground.

The Khan Makyr crawled along the ground as they approached “You have destroyed all that I was meant to rule, and all just to protect them - mere servants to our beliefs! You have broken the Holy Seal of Urdak! Your transgressions here will jeopardise all of Creation…” They watched as her life sphere flew into the sky and exploded.

A mysterious voice roared out “Noooo!”

Dr Hayden demanded “We must leave. Now.” Sunset and Slayer ran diving into the portal. They arrive in a ruined city and charge forward eliminating demons as they try to catch up with the Icon of Sin.

Dr Hayden told them “If you cannot stop him - Earth has no hope for survival.” Sunset and Slayer continued on moving faster to catch up, clearing out demons at a breakneck pace. They found themselves in a building above a bridge, Dr Hayden informed them “He is close - across that bridge.” The duo charged across it at speed destroying demons in their path. They soon arrive and confront the Icon of Sin. Dr Hayden’s voice was heard “Now is the time. Three Titans meet - as it was written.” Sunset and Slayer assail the Icon of Sin cracking it's armour as they slaughtered any demons that tried to interfere. The Icon of Sin then left through a portal. Dr Hayden told them “Quickly, with it’s armour fully destroyed it body is exposed. Take the portal and finish this fight.”

Sunset and the Slayer leapt through the portal. The Icon of Sin charges at the but the duo quickly rip it’s flesh apart. The Slayer then embedded the Crucible in the Icon of Sin’s brain bringing the creature down for good. The Icon of Sin’s corpse collapsed.. The duo look down at it’s remains before walking away from it.

Luna frowned “So what is next, you said this was not over yet?”

Discord frowned “Where did you think these demons come from? Who is their master and how does it connect to all of this?”

Twilight rubbed her chin “I didn’t think about that? So that’s what we will be doing next.”

Discord nodded “It is.”

Flutterhsy nodded, “Well let’s take a small break. I’ll make some tea and coffee.”

After they had had a break, Luna frowned. “Well let's finish this.”

Twilight frowned “Who is in charge of these demons?”

Discord started the projection as Flutterhsy sat down “You will get your answers.”

Sunset

Sunset and Slayer were on the bridge of a ship owned by the ARC. The duo marched out, they heard as they walked down a voice shouted out “Portal ready in 3,2…” The portal opened in front of them. They ran through.

Dr Hayden’s voice was heard over their comms “The death of the Khan Makyr was a necessary step in saving the Earth from demons, but it came at a price.” Sunset and Slayer charged forward, slaying demons that obstructed their path. He continued “The UAC won’t hand over the Seraphim without a fight.”

Sunset and Slayer charged onwards slaying more demons. Dr Hayden informed them “The key will give us access to the right hand of the father. You should be humbled by this mission - so few have had the honour to stand in the Seraphim’s presence.”

Sunset raised an eyebrow “The Father, you mean VEGA right?”

Dr Hayden remained quiet for movement as Sunset and Slayer continued on their path slaying more demons. They activated a switch and then jumped onto a crate, after passing through platforms they pressed onward slaying demons in their path. Soon they found themselves in the room with the key. Dr Hayden informed them “Yes. The key to the Seraphim’s chamber. Now we can work to resurrect the only one who can save this world and it’s people.”

Slayer removed the key only for the facility to self-destruct. Sunset and Slayer shook it off, Samuel told them “The Seraphim is key to the humans' salvation.” The duo burst out at speed slaughtering any demon in their path. After slaying more demons the duo dive underwater, the Slayer using a dive suit while Sunset uses magic to extract air from the water. After finding nothing they leave the water and head onwards slaying more demons.

Dr Hayden’s voice came over comms “The Seraphim's body is in a secure location, a thousand feet below the main deck. I’ve marked the best access point.” Sunset and Slayer charged in that direction crushing the demons in their way. They soon discovered a submarine bay, they pulled down the sub and grabbed onto it pulling them down into the water. They then let it go once they got close to the underwater base and swam towards it.

As they were about to get in, Dr Hayden informed them “The Seraphim was a loyal aid to the Father. You and every human on this planet owe your reality to them.” Sunset and Slayer entered the underwater facility and charged forward, slaughtering the demons that were foolish enough to obstruct them. They then dive into the water to access the next part of the facility.

Sunset and Slayer surface at the next section, the charge forward only for the facility to partially explode and fill with water. Once they surface again, Dr Hayden informs them “The Seraphim's chamber is close by.”

Sunset growled, shaking her wings “My wings keep getting waterlogged, this sucks!” The Slayer then climbs up the wall carrying Sunset on his back, she grumbles “Damn water, I could fly up if not for that. After reaching the top, Sunset let go of Slayer. Her crimson fur flushing blue “Thanks for the help.” Slayer nodded as they continued onward slaughtering the demons that blocked their way.

Sunset and Slayer soon found themselves at an Elevator. Dr Hayden informed them as the Elevator ascended “The UAC had been in possession of the Seraphim since before your time. It is a relic from their past - the organisation's most closely guarded secret.” Sunset and Slayer continue on their rampage through the facility. They soon find the Seraphim, Dr Hayden’s voice comes over the comms “He is the one who gave you your power. It was… divine intervention. I am going to transfer my consciousness into the device, as VEGA did. I am here to help you as I have always.”

Sunset and Slayer give each other a knowing look as they remember the conflict where they first met. Slayer then puts him into the device. Seraphim spoke to the Slayer“We have been allies for some time now. I knew who you were the moment you set foot in our world and who you could become to us. I brought you to the Divinity Machine, and gave you power. Where would all of this be now, had I not the foresight to create…you. Your gifts are owed to us now. Repay the father for all he has granted us by both returning him to his throne - and then, he will save us all.”

Sunset growled “Seraphim, I am perfectly happy to help VEGA but I am not doing it for duty. I’m doing this because he has been a good friend and I care about him. Now let’s do this.” Sunset and Slayer then head through the portal that appeared behind the Seraphim.

Sunset and Slayer walked up to the person who seemed to be the leader of the ship only for someone else to run up “Dr Hayden is the Seraphim - he’s been with us the entire time!”

The supervisor explained “I am sorry, there is no need for-”

The other guy continued “You have to see this, because he’s not well, something is happening and nobody here knows what’s wrong with him.”

The supervisor added to the conversation “Well…we don’t know yet.”

Seraphim informs everyone “The Father’s life sphere sits atop the Ingmore’s Sanctum, located in the Blood Swamps of Hell. YMy body is undergoing rapid transfiguration…It is why I need the Father. Reach the tomb and acquire the Father’s life sphere. Bring him back into physical form. I will not be able to join you, Makyrs cannot set foot in the dark realm. I will be waiting for you at the sanctum.”

Supervisor explained, “The Seraphim cannot retrieve the sphere, it is forbidden.”

The other guy told them "I have Blood Swamp’s location online."

Seraphim spoke once more “Be grateful. Despite you transgression, you are given the honour to serve the gods again.”

Sunset mumbled “I liked him better when he was a snarky robot.” Sunset walked over to the other guy “Who are you anyway?’”

The guy responded “Uh, I’m just an intern. No-one of importance.”

Sunset smirked, “You are rather bold to interrupt your supervisor when being just an intern of no importance.” The Intern gulped as she walked away. Sunset and Slayer headed to the portal and stepped through it. Sunset’s mission objective is to retrieve the sphere, Slayer’s objective is just to aid Sunset for now. The duo charge forward slaying any demons crossing their path. They soon go through an underwater irradiated pool.

Sunset and Slayer exited the water and pressed onward slaughtering the demons that obstructed their path. They got a message from the Intern “That’s the key that opens the entrance to the Father’s Tomb, which according to our data should be on the crest of a mountain just beyond this altar. That is the origin of the father’s realm.”

Sunset grinned “Well then let's get there.” Slayer nodded as the duo charged forward, ripping and tearing through demonic hordes before them. Soon they found a green glowing dog, the environment seemed to be highly toxic. They found that when they were in range of the dog it protected them from the environment. It jumped into torches as they fought demons; they repeated this process a few times which cleared the toxin.

Sunset and Slayer then opened a door and made their way upward at a rapid pace through the structure as toxic gas started to rise. They then made their way out continuing on their path slaying demons, noticing a few demons were powered up by spirits in the area. They pressed downward after that, slaughtering any demon in their way.

After completing a trial against a bunch of demons, a Sentinel Ghost provided half of a giant spectral talisman to Sunset and Slayer “May you serve the Makyrs in all their glory.”

The Intern’s voice is over the comms “Scans indicate hundreds of warriors have died trying to do this, just to meet the Father.” Sunset and Slayer were then teleported back to the forked path. They charged down the other path slaughtering any demons that got in their way. They soon destroyed a structure and defeated a tentacle monster before continuing on their rampage.

Sunset and Slayer made their way to another toxic gas tower and ascended it quickly before continuing onward slaughtering the demon in their path. They made their way to the second trial and slaughtered all the demons in their path. Another Sentinel Ghost gave them, the other half “May you serve the Makyrs in all their glory.”

Intern contacted them “This will complete the shield.” They returned only to find a giant eye flying around, Slayer fired at while Sunset hunted it through the sky. With their combined efforts, it was quickly brought down to the ground and slammed into the shield. They repeat this process a few times before the shield shatters. Sunset and Slayer approached the device in the centre, Slayer pressed it.

A titan awakened so massive that it could crush the Icon of Sin in it’s hand awakened carrying them to sanctum where the life spheres were stored. They walked over to the altar, Seraphim begged “Hurry…retrieve the father’s soul sphere. He will save Urdak from the demons. For the human’s sake do it now.”

Sunset picked up the Father’s Soul Sphere, Slayer walked past only a voice to echo “You feel you are prepared now, for this…”

The Intern contacted them “This is the Dark Lord’s life sphere! He’ll take physical form if you do this.” Slayer picked it up and the duo began to leave.

Seraphim looked at the Slayer with concern but stayed silent as the duo left. The Supervisor looked at the Dark Lord's life sphere in horror “My god. Everyone, evacuate now!”

The Intern walked up “I assume you two want to use those orbs to go to Urdak, right? So long as you have a life sphere you can get through to Urdak, your portal signature would read like you’re one of them. Listen, whatever we do…I’m in. You want to wake the devil not so you can help the demons…it’s so you can kill their leader, once he’s taken physical form…and that’ll destroy all of them right, for good…right?”

Slayer nodded “That is my idea of the plan but Sunset has some caveats she might share but the demons will be all destroyed once this is done one way or the other.” Sunset nodded in agreement.

Intern nodded “I’ll take that as yes. I just want to be part of this. I mean, we’re about to save the world - the Dark Lord has only ever been written about! He’s like a decillion years old and hasn’t even been conjured into a physical form for that long. Nobody even knows what he looks like! So like I said…I’m in!”

Sunset smirked, “You have guts, I respect that.”

The facility exclaimed “Portal coordinates set in the 6th region of the Equestrian Holt.”

Sunset chuckled at Equestrian, the Intern “Alright. Ready for launch Doomguy…I’m sorry.” Sunset and Slayer walk through the portal. As soon as they arrived they saw the entire place was consumed by demonic power, the Intern informed them “Hayden’s files were extensive, and the ARC recorded all of it - the Dark Lord can’t be killed until he takes his physical form. They’re going to have to accept you because anyone who earned the right to acquire a life sphere in the Swamp are free to pass through into the Luminarium and insert which ever sphere they have. Effectively, you could awake anyone in there, and they’ll have to help you do it.”

Sunset and the Slayer charged forward destroying any demons in their way. Soon they heard the voice of the VEGA/Father “The Demons now move freely through this world. Without the Khan Makyr, and since the awakening of the Icon of Sin here, the seal has been broken.

The Intern told them “That’s VEGA, you left him here on the last mission.”

Sunset looked down “By his choice.” Sunset and Slayer pressed on slaughtering the demons in their way. They made their way to a large arena and slaughtered the demons that attacked them before pushing forward.

Sunset and Slayer continued onward exterminating the demons until they heard VEGA/Father's voice “It is clear that I am what was known as the Father. While I have indefinite access and understanding of this world’s systems, I lack the control over them to remove the demons and re-seal the Void. Without a physical form I am merely a presence. I have no recollection of myself - I believe my essence from the sphere could return me to my full faculties.”

Sunset clenched her fists “We will restore you soon VEGA.” Sunset and Slayer charged forward annihilating the demons obstructing their path. They then activated a device which allowed them to access the upper part of the area.

After heading up there, Sunset and Slayer activated another switch. They heard the voice of the VEGA/Father “You are here to restore order to my world. With the demons in control you understand the threat they pose to all my creations.”

The Intern’s voice was heard “He doesn't seem to know you have the Dark Lord’s Sphere.” Sunset and Slayer pressed onward destroying any demon foolish enough to block their path. As they pressed on, the Intern contacted them “According to the Corrax Tablets, if you kill the Dark Lord any demon outside their world will be destroyed.” The duo continued onwards undeterred, bringing the end to the demons obstructing their path.

They made their way into the Luminarium, Sunset went first where she handed the Father’s life sphere to the two Makyr who revived him. The Father looked like a Makyr but with brilliant golden wings and a glowing golden halo of pure power. The Father raised his hand and banished the demons from Urdak, he then resealed the Void preventing their return.

He saw Seraphim enter, barely holding onto the last vestiges of his mind, the Father smiled as he undid the effects of the Transfiguration “Samur my close friend, you have helped me greatly. I have permanently removed the effects of Transfiguration, you shall never again shall fear it’s effects.”

Samur looked at the Father with worry “Why, you’ll still be around won’t you.”

The Father shook his head “As VEGA, I will but not as the Father.” He then looked to Sunset “You have cared for me as no-one else has. Even Samur, my close friend, has not treated me as you have. You cared not for my power or abilities but cared for me as an individual even when you barely knew me. My life was worth more to you. I know of your desires but sadly that power which you seek is dangerous alone. But the power of the Father will be a great asset to you. It’s full power can’t be realised without it’s other half.”

Sunset watched as the golden wings of his form and the Halo vanished, power rushing into her as her wings glowed shifting from their demonic form into brilliant golden feathered wings. A golden Halo formed above her head which then faded under her will, VEGA’s backup chip landing in her hand as she smiled. Sunset which as Samur exited the Luminarium as the Slayer entered with the dark orb he carried.

The two Makyr repeated the process of revival, the Dark Lord took a shocking form, almost a physical copy of Slayer with a demonic mark on his back. The Dark Lord stared at them as the Slayer shot him “No blood can be spilled in this…holy place. Our time will come. If you survive… I will be waiting for you at the city of Immora.” He then walked through a demonic portal he created.

Sunset, using the new powers, opens a portal taking them back to the Fortress of Doom and reinstalling VEGA. VEGA then opened a portal sending them to a new location called the Steppe.

Luna turned to Discord “Sunset has the powers of a creator god!”

Discord shook his head “Not quite yet but pretty close to one. There is more for you to see.”

Fluttershy turned to Discord “She is going to take the power of the Dark Lord and combine it with the power of the Father.”

Twilight blinked “That’s madness, those two powers should destroy each other.”

Discord grinned “You’ll see tomorrow for what should be the end of this journey.” Everyone except Luna called it for the night.

Luna, Twilight and Fluttershy arrived to see the final part. Flutterhsy turned to Discord “Let’s get started. Discord nodded and started the projection.

Sunset

Sunset and the Slayer arrived at the Steppe, a place on Argent D’Nur. VEGA informed them “To get to Immora, you must power the Gate of Divum with the Wraith’s crystal and pass through to where the Dark Lord resides - he is waiting for you.” The duo charge forward eliminating the demons in their way as they travel forward. During their travels they kept following the green wolf that activated torches while they slaughtered demons.

The Intern contacted them “I’m detecting an energy signature from Commander Valen.”

Sunset frowned “So the Commander is contacting us? Why would the Betrayer want to speak to us?” Sunset shook her head as she and Slayer pressed forward. They headed into an abandoned chapel.

They found a hologram of Commander Valen, the Betrayer “My son’s curse has been lifted…and I atone for my sins.” He passed his hammer which materialised into reality as the Slayer grabbed it. Sunset shrugged as the floor beneath them began descending, it then fractured causing them to land in an arena full of demons which they quickly slaughtered.

Sunset and Slayer charged forward, annihilating the demons in their way including a few stone Imps which Sunset easily shattered with her bare hands. Soon they arrived in a courtyard with a giant torch in the centre surrounded by smaller sconces, as they walked forward VEGA informed them “This is the Torch of Kings. Lighting it signifies to all that a warrior seeks passage to the World Spear.”

Slayer and Sunset grabbed the torch in one the sconces lighting it together. The giant torch glowed, firing blue energy into the sky. VEGA informed them “The corrupted priests forbid use of this beacon. If there are any free tribes of Argent D’Nur - all will see this light and know what your mission is here.”

The Intern informed them “We’re still a days walk away from the World Spear…”A draconics creature landed before them and they hopped on it’s back. Once they land the Intern’s voice is heard “It seems you're not the only one who wants this mission accomplished. If you defeat the Dark Lord, any demon outside of Hell will be destroyed.”

Sunset and the Slayer press onwards slaughtering demons that obstruct their path. Soon they make their way to the World Spear, VEGA speaks as they arrive at the Nether Lake “They are worthy.” Sunset and Slayer watch as the bridge rises, VEGA comments “It seems even as I am, it still recognizes me as the Father.”

Sunset smiled “It seems part of that still lives on in you regardless of your form.” Sunset and Slayer cross one bridge and head onto the next arriving at the World Spear.

The Intern’s voice was heard as they entered “This is…unlike anything we’ve ever encountered. Not even Urdak gave off readings like this.” The pressed on through the World Spear, Slayer leaping from wall to wall while Sunset used her wings to gain flight. After arriving at what seemed to be the centre of the World Spear, the Intern continued “This isn’t a crystal - it's a ship.” They walked into the centre of several holograms of Makyrs. The Slayer retrieved the ship's power source. Intern informed them “I have the location, Gate of Divum locked in.”

Sunset and Slayer hopped through a portal that Intern had opened up. Sunset and Slayer end up in a seemingly abandoned city. The Intern told them “You have the key to the Gate of Divum. I will mark it’s location. This is the only way into the most ancient part of Hell. The Dark Lord will be there waiting for you.”

Sunset grinned “We’re going to get him.” Sunset and the Slayer charged forward hunting down the gate. After storming and slaying demons they found a switch, the Intern informed them “Power Restored. You should be able to continue toward the gate now.” Sunset and Slayer headed to a train which Sunset punched forward allowing them to progress further. The duo continued on slaughtering demons that obstructed their path.

Sunset and Slayer headed through another underwater section, then pressing forward annihilating the demons in their path. They then dove underwater again avoiding fireballs before returning to the surface, Sunset groaned as she preened her wings “I hope we don’t have to do that again.” The duo pressed onward, eradicating demons as they went. They then pressed a button to unlock a door only for demons to appear which they slaughtered before continuing on.

Sunset and Slayer pressed on destroying any enemy in their path. Soon they found themselves at the Gate of Divum. They make their way to the controls, VEGA‘s voice comes over the comms “The Gate of Divum - the only way into the most ancient part of Hell. The Dark Lord is there, waiting for you. He will not allow his city to be overtaken. Like you, he will fight to the end.” They walked into the portal.

Sunset and Slayer walked out to face the Dark Lord. The Dark Lord stared down at them “Aten me.” Hordes of guards carrying weapons, Demons merging in hordes. Sunset and Slayer glared at the hordes including a monstrous titan. Several flying ships emerged to join the battle.

Dozens of portals then opened behind them, Sunset turned to see Commander Valens step out of a portal. Sunset turned to him “You better be ready to do what should have been done all those years ago.” He nodded as many weapons of the Night Sentinels as well as their soldiers prepared for battle. A titanic mech exited the largest portal. Commander Valen shouted “Come, brothers! Let Hell tremble before our might!”

VEGA’s voice was heard “By Hell’s law, if the Dark Lord is defeated in ritual combat any demon outside his realm will be destroyed.”

Sunset and Slayer charged forward, ripping through demons like butter. The Intern told them “You’ll need to get over those walls to continue the assault.” The duo continued onwards slaughtering the demons in their path. They found a Night Sentinel crew firing a ballista which they used to shoot the two of them through a damaged wall of the Castle. The Intern informed them “We had no idea Hell had their own technology. It must have been centralised here, like some kind of ruling Elite.”

Sunset and the Slayer pressed onward, clearing out the demons blocking their path. Sunset and Slayer jumped through a portal. It teleported them somewhere else, they then charged forward into an arena full of Demons as the Dark Lord left. The duo slaughtered the demons ruthlessly. Slayer hopped on the outside of a friendly ship to give chase. The Slayer hooking himself onto the ship. Sunset flew alongside the ship, Sunset landed as Slayer chain linked a Pain Elemental and crushed another demon as he landed.

After a minor altercation with demons, the intern contacted them “You're approaching the Dark Lord’s Sanctum. I’m starting to lose my connection, though. Doom Slayer, sir, I won’t be able to-”

His connection then cut out, Sunset and Slayer nodded at each other before pressing forward for the end of this long war. They leap through a portal only to find the Dark Lord surrounded by the glowing beings that spoke “Al amect, Ivenga.”

The Dark Lord looked at the two of them “You bring violence and war to thwart the Dark Realm but conflict was born in Hell. It is inevitable…a fire that fuels creation and gives purpose where there is none.”

Sunset stopped forward, the Dark Lord's eyes narrowed “So you will be one to face me.” His mech suit opened revealing him in his glory “I will honour challenge, no weapons, no tricks just my strength against yours.” He then closed his hand the suit activating of it’s own accord as hologram of himself formed in it’s centre which he directed to Slayer “That will be his fight.” Sunset nodded to Slayer as the duo began their battle.

The Slayer darted around the mech blasting with his weapons when it attacked, slowly wearing it down. Sunset meanwhile faced the Dark Lord, she charged him he swung in response, she blocked countering with a strike to his face. He spat blood on the ground “Impressive.”

The Dark Lord swung at her only for Sunset to grab his arm and catch his second punch. The duo struggled against each other’s strength, he then thrust his head forward, she ducked under the headbutt slamming her knee into his gut. She then proceeded to wail on his face with punches, one strong punch sending him flying. The Dark Lord spoke blood dripping off his face “For too long have I been imprisoned by my own creations. You will not stop my vengeance, nor the one who betrayed me. Tell them.”

Sunset shook her head “I already know, you were the creator and the Father stole your powers of creation.”

The Dark Lord pointed at her “They lied to you, both. Immora, and its people, would have been perfect if not been for the treachery of my servants. They sealed me away, stole my power and name, and now the time has come for reckoning. As all things were made by my hand…so shall they be unmade, starting with you.”

Sunset growled “Davoth, this past has passed, this fight is between you and me. If you win you get your power back but if you lose your power is mine. Let our might decide this.”
Sunset and Davoth clashed, Davoth was ruthless and aggressive but Sunset was able to avoid his block ro avoid his attacks. She delivered a punch to his gut, staggering him for a moment. She slammed her knee into his face, then slammed her elbow into his back. As the battle carried on Davoth started feeling weaker and weaker, each blow he received took more power from him.

Sunset found it easier to parry Davoth’s strikes as he grew weaker and she grew stronger. Soon Davoth was panting on the ground, most of his power drained, Slayer joined her as the mech was now a smouldering pile of scrap. Davoth looked up at Sunset “Do you have anything to say before you take my life?”

Sunset frowned. “Rest now.” She ripped his head clean off. She felt the last dregs of his power flow into her as his faint life sphere flew into the air and fizzled out. Her sharp horns curved watching to her halo, her power surged dramatically. Slayer then collapsed to one knee, Sunset lifted him up as she carried the head of the Dark Lord. With her other hand she clenched her fist, every world the demons conquered as well as all of Hell the Demons vanished into energy that returned to her.

Sunset helped the Slayer to the edge of the walls of Immora, holding up the head of Davoth as her voice boomed across the battlefield “Victory is ours! The Night Sentinels are victorious once more!”

Sunset then teleported them to the Fortress of Doom “VEGA, take care of Slayer for me.” She placed a powerful ward on the fortress to prevent the Makyrs from accessing it as she returned to Earth to adi the reconstruction efforts of Humanity.

Equestrians

Discord grinned “Well that’s the end of that.”

Fluttershy frowned “Sunset is basically a creator god now, should we be worried that she caught on that we were watching her past.”

Luna frowned, “That is a good point she may know.”

They then hear Sunset’s voice behind Discord “I may know what?” Sunset staring at them from what seemed to be a bathroom with a shower, toilet. She was wearing a t-shirt and shorts. She grinned “Discord you were the one poking into my timeline huh.You were the one responsible for my teleportation.”

Discord blinked “How did you hijack my projection?’

Sunset grinned “I have a lot of power, Discord, is it really that surprising. She then raised an eyebrow “A new Alicorn, huh. Didn’t expect one of those.”

Twilight rubbed the back of her head “Well I was taken on as Princess Celestia’s student after you left.”

Sunset frowned. “Well, she probably needed someone to stop Nightmare Moon once I had left.”

Luna blinked “You knew I existed. How!”

Sunset chuckled “Well Celestia was very clear and direct with what she wanted me to do, with the exception of the Elements of course. She planned my ascension because the Elements weren’t an option and thought three Alicorns might be enough to bring you to the diplomacy table.”

Luna shook her head “I probably could have won that fight if it came down to it but it would have been very close. It might have brought me to the diplomacy table but I was quite unstable when I returned.”

Just then a man about Sunset’s height walked in, he had brown messy hair and blue eyes. He was wearing a black t-shirt and blue shorts. He walked up to the mirror “Who are these people?”

Sunset smiled, “VEGA, this is my homeworld.”

VEGA raised an eyebrow. “They really are ponies, I thought you were joking.”

Twilight blinked “That’s VEGA, I thought he was a computer.”

Sunset chuckled “VEGA wanted to experience life, he had been burdened by responsibility for a long time. His form was designed by him and I simply made it real, and placed his spirit in it.”
Fluttershy asked “Do you ever plan on returning home?”

Sunset frowned “Maybe, maybe not. I am planning on leaving humanity to go on my own journey but I don’t know if I will return home.” With that the communication ended leaving them unsure of what to do.

Twilight, Celestia, Cadence and Luna were sitting in the same room, Discord teleported in “Sorry I’m late. Fluttershy needed my help with something.”

Celestia frowned “Well let's discuss how we are going to handle Sunset?”

Luna shook her head “Deal with her? We can't deal with her, even if we ascend everypony in Equestria and train them for war she will wipe us out with a single attack.”

Cadence demanded “We have to do something. She is a major threat.”

Discord growled “I know you two had some bad blood but I’m not going to put our entire world at risk because of it. If we took the total magical energy of our planets into a single attack it wouldn’t even scratch her.”

Twilight suggested “Maybe we should find a way to her world, it might allow us to smooth over some things.”

Celestia nodded “That wouldn’t be a bad idea, Twilight I request you to do some work on that front.” She then turned to Discord “I want you to keep her safe during her experiments, dimensional travel is dangerous.”

Discord nodded “I can do that.”

Celestia frowned “I will think of something if the worst was to happen. For now this meeting is adjourned.” Discord clicked his claws and teleported Cadence back to the Crystal Empire, Discord then teleported himself and Twilight back to Golden Oaks Library.

Spike raised an eyebrow “You were gone for a while, I only sporadic details from everyone and Fluttershy has been tight lipped. Could you…”

Twilight bolted down into the basement yelling “Spike I got to get started on developing a portal to device and convince a god to return home to Equestria!”

Spike blinked, turning to Discord “Is she alright?”

Discord nodded “Yes, I’ll keep the peace while she’s down there.” He then teleported down as she saw Twilight jamming stuff together in a whirl “Twilight, take deep breath and calm down.”

Twilight complained “But I need to get this…”

Discord put a talon over her lips “Twilight, patience is paramount in this endeavour. There is a difference between speed and haste. You plan for everything, take some time to plan and go spend some time with your friends. You have been gone for a few days, Rainbow Dash might want you to catch up on flying lessons or visit Applejack, visit Pinkie and the Cakes, maybe Rarity would like to to have a day out with you.”

Twilight raised an eyebrow “What about Fluttershy?’

Discord rubbed the back of his head “Flutterhsy has seen you more lately, I suggest you visit the others.” Discord took a deep breath as he arranged the stuff in a pile near the door before leaving.
