A what if story if Discord had been playing along to being friends to Equestria as all a part of his master plan.
We all know that during the season nine finale, it was revealed that Discord was Grogar the whole time and planned every attack on his friends to prepare Twilight to become the new ruler of Equestria and help his friends to defeat the trio once for all. But what if he intentionally sent those attacks on Twilight and the gang and brought together the trio in the first place. Playing along with their little "friendship" games up to that point and despite gaining trust among the others, kept reminding himself of his true intentions. This is the most likely way that it would happen.....
Discord at that moment couldn't believe that the three he was training to put together turned against him, but the truth had to be revealed and he was pleased to see their reactions. "That was unexpected," Tirek responded as Discord put on a villainous grin and waited for the chance to speak. "So wait, you were Grogar?" Discord finally responded,
"Yes indeed my Dear Cozy glow and I'm so proud of you three, you all came up with a plan and had gotten the bell without telling me, brilliant simply brilliant! I knew you could work together."
The three looked at each other before Cozy Glow questioned "So you brought us all together and purposely did those attacks on your friends?"
"Friends? HA, more like my enemies, all this time they thought of me as their friend always counting on the lord of chaos to "save the day" while behind the scenes the whole time I've been planning my ultimate revenge on Twilight and those pitful ponies, oh my apologizes I meant our revenge."
"Yes it was indeed unfortunate that I had to be involved in stopping your plans, Chrysalis, Tirek. I had full intentions to join you tirek until you stabbed me in the back and stole my magic and was forced to reside with those pesky ponies and had to find the last key from the harmony chest." He made a disgusted noise when he said harmony. Chrysalis when I heard of your plan to replace ponies, with your changelings and even kidnapping the princesses priceless! Unfortunately, you lost your kingdom, when I found you three and Sombra I had aimed at some point to join up and take back your kingdom from that goody good Thorax!!" "But now things can go back on track, in fact, I just had the most wonderful idea! I can go run to those ponies, while you all follow me (without being seen of course) and then do an attack on them, I reveal my intentions, we steal all the magic in Equestria and then we can make powerful Tirek once again and wreak havoc on this world and, you Chrysalis we will march to Thorax and take back the throne that you desire and deserve, what do you say?"
"Discord, do you tell the truth, you see what I said when we first met?"
"Indeed Tirek I agreed that friendship was prison always asked to do things always have to say sorry, have to try to be nice and I can't even let loose my chaos anymore *sniffle* I miss that all so much."
"And Discord is it true that you were intended to help me get back my kingdom?" Chrysalis asked before Discord replied, "Absolutely my dear, I miss all their previous terrifying designs, fangs, and swarming in like a army but now they look too cuddly, and their so nice it disgusts me!"
They all had knowing expressions on their faces as they looked back at Discord. Cozy Glow then had a suspicious look before asking "what's in it for us?"
"You will have my full support and give use certain abilities if you want and, I will make us immune to Grogar's bell." They looked at each other with surprise, immunatity to Grogars bell? They would be unstoppable and with Discord's help they can finally get their revenge,, after all so did Discord. After talking among each other before turning back to Discord and stating we agree with your plan Discord. Discord started laughing silently at first before growing into evil laughter.
"Excellent, excellent, excellent! Just follow me and we'll start heading towards the castle i'll be running to seem like something went wrong, then you guys come in and we'll take over the castle, get those ponies out of the way and then the extraction will begin and I will travel with you Chrysalis, to take back your throne. So what are we waiting for our takeover to begin." He ran off at first on all fours running on his way to the castle while the other three followed behind with smiles on their faces, it was happening they were finally going to take over Equestria and nothing were going to stop them.
Discord finally arrived at the castle and he saw the six there, "perfect" he thought before covering himself in leaves and other things and using his excellent acting to seem like he was tired. After telling them they responded to the princesses who wondered what he had done. He hid the scowl that was starting to cross his face, the princesses scolding him like some kind of child, pathetic he was surprised he even lasted so long with them around. After what he considered a boring speech suddenly Cozy Glow appeared throwing a ball of guards to the ground and making a joke about Twilight's speech, Discord attempted to keep in his laughter and do so skillfully as Cozy Glow attacked Twilight causing her to hit the chair and landing on the cold floor. Discord and the others gasped (Discord faked it) before blasting off the laser. Meanwhile, Tirek was busy dealing with the pillars as they attempted to fight off Tirek but were overpowered by the Centaur. Stealing all of their magic before heading back to the castle to continue Discord's plan. While Chrysalis went looking for her arch nemesis: Starlight Glimmer.
They began to fight as Starlight teleported them to a snowy mountain with the wind blowing. Starlight put up a good fight but in the end, she got caught in her cacoon and headed back to the castle. Back at the castle, Cozy Glow fought off the guards and opened a portal to where they fell outside into the water near the castle. As the princesses attempted to shoot Cozy Glow she used the bell to harness both of their magic causing pain to both of them as their magic was sucked. The Main Six attacked her surprise after surprise as she attempted to dodge all of them. Before being lassoed down by Applejack, she was surrounded. Cozy smiled as the others returned blasting through the glass and swiping the throne out of the way. Discord was hiding behind it before being escorted by Cozy Glow to the ground and pulling thumps up to Cozy and winked, which Cozy winked back as Discord looked for a hidden area.
Twilight made a short speech to them about how they would still win in the end, they laughed but a fourth laugh could be heard in the corner, suddenly Fluttershy noticed something, somepony was missing, "where's Discord?" as the three continued to laugh. They explained that they were the cause of many things before Cozy proclaimed that it was time for some redecorating before a voice came out of the shadows, "I can't agree more Cozy Glow" as Discord emerged from the shadow drinking a potion before his body shinned as renewed chaos magic flowed through him "Ah, much better."
Applejack first replied with "Discord you were able to get out, help us get rid of these three!" Discord smiled in an evil grin as he stated "You fools thought that all of this time, you thought we were friends? Simply hilarious and, tricked you all!" Celestia replied, "What are you talking about Discord?" "Isn't obvious Celestia? I purposely brought them all together for my best plan yet on you pitful ponies, my true revenge on you all!"
"Discord why, why revenge on us too?"
Twilight asked before flying over to Twilight and stating, "Well duh you girls, sealed me in stone a second time and when Celestia tried to "reform" me it was the perfect chance to get my full revenge, I'll tell more later but me and my allies have plans." All four of them turned towards the back of the room and fired one powerful beam, destroying a part of Canterlot as rubble fell from above. They showed off how powerful they were and proved their point when they broke the shield. Tirek carried Twilight over and all four prepared to get their revenge on Twilight before Rarity threw a boulder at them, causing Twilight to fall from their grasp. They all fired again as Twilight rose some part of the castle to protect them from the blast. As Twilight teleported away destroying the piece that was protecting the others.
Canterlot was in ruins, smoke rose from the castle from the blast by Lord Tirek, Chrysalis, Cozy Glow, and, Discord. The remaining ponies that were on the scene were captured and put in a cell which was reinforced by green coccoing from Chrysalis. Cozy Glow wanted to destroy them but Chrysalis told her to be patient and being destroyed was too... permant. She thought that it was best to show Equestria how their heroes had fallen and how every pony that posed a threat was as well also in a cell. Tirek argues that they should hunt down Twilight, as she is far too dangerous to be free and roaming about (Chrysalis teased Tirek for being afraid of Twilight).
After a while they realized that pieces of Chrysalis's throne were being used, so they took advantage but it would also affect their power as well and to not get close to it. "Thanks to Grogar's bell, isn't that right Grogar?" From within a small cavern which ominus glowing crystals resided inside, Discord emerged from the cave streching and replied to Chrysalis.
"Oh you amuse me, hahaha! But yes indeed this bell was the answer to all our problems and I couldn't believe not thinking of it, I'm so glad that you three found it." Cozy Glow tried to for some reason face the bell straight towards her before Tirek swatted it away from her grasp. As he scocoled her about the last time she tried to consume chaos magic, while Cozy Glow wanted all the friendship stuff from it, while she bragged her being the best before the three started agruing. The remaining ponies excluding Celestia and Luna, were planning on ways to defeat the four and how to escape. The three continued to argue before they were interrupted.
"ENOUGH!!!! Look at you three arguing after such nonsense, no pony is better than the other one we have our strgenths and feats and they go together like a well made smoothie so please shut up!"
"You telling us to shut up Discord?" Tirek asked as Discord got into his face.
"Yeah, I am because at least I'm not arguing about who's better it's in my nature to do so but right now is not the time!" Tirek got mad and blasted at him which Discord reflected without ease as it began to hit all over the place as beams flew everywhere and it finally stopped. "HAH, you missed and nothing bad happened at all."
"Did he though?" Starlight asked before her cell seal fell apart and got free before antagonizing the group before freeing everyone from their cells before being blasted by Chrysalis, before she could advance Celestia and Luna came to the rescue and protected Starlight and told them to find Twilight. Meanwhile, Discord has never been so mad in his life at first he stood silently before his face contorted to anger and slowly began to become entirely red fumes coming out of his nose.
Celestia and Luna charged towards them while the other's ran off, but this attack was stopped suddenly as Discord now huge entirely red with fumes held the two royal sisters in his grasp before squeezing them til they were about to pop before Discord stopped and the two gathered their breath. The pillars shot at Discord and attacked him in any way possible but he didn't flinch, in fact he didn't feel it as his anger masked the attacks. "You three continue on your journey to hunting them down I'll contain the prisoners!!" Discord stated in a somewhat demonic voice as the three villains left quickly as Discord turned his attention to the others. "As punishment for this escape I shall unleash the windago's upon your all so precious.... LAND!!!"
Discord yelled shaking the ground and snapped his fingers as the windigo's did their thing before Celestia proclaimed "NO!!"
The three see the windigo's and question why they were there before Discord arrived and explained that he unleashed them. They argued a little before Cozy told the others that she saw Twilight and the others. Discord smiled before stating "that should keep you warm!"
Discord and the others came through a portal a look of vengeance with each one, with Discord having the most. "Well, well, well look who decided to show up, the princess of friendship! I'm glad you decided to come out with your friends now we can end this once and for all!"
"But why Discord? We all trusted that you indeed were reformed but now you say that you faked it all!? Was everything that we did to you and did you even feel anything at all?" Fluttershy proclaimed.
"I did! But I kept reminding myself that you six are the new elements of harmony! The things that I hate in this world as well as taking a thousand years of my life and when I got free I had nothing against you six but then you used them on me and since then I planned for my ultimate revenge on the new elements ever since so how about we stop yapping and let's get this over with!!!!!"
Cozy agreed and fired upon them and saw they were gone. "Twilight teleported them away! Keep your guards up they will plan something to get the bell and in case they get too close.... don't feel too bad because we are immune to the bell." Grinning evilly as they began their ambush. Discord assisted the other three by throwing meteors down on them it didn't hurt the three because they were specifically supposed to hit Twilight and the others. The fight continued as the distraction went on and Pinkie tried to get the bell. They got close to getting close to the bell before they noticed the others trying to get to it. "Just wait for the big surprise my little ponies, just you wait." Discord hummed before continuing the chase for the little ponies they found them and before a bit, more fighting caught Spike and threatened to rip spikes wings off. Twilight begged them to not do it before surrendering and returning Spike as Tirek boasted about how friendship is also their greatest weakness. They all prepared their lasers to finally finish this once and for all.
But suddenly a shield propped around them as Discord proclaimed "what now!?!!" As every single creature and pony stood against each other ready to take them down. In response, Discord laughed harder than he ever has "MARVELOUS, all of you are here!!! I was planning to spare you all but I see now that you must go down to!!!!! PREPARE TO SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR MEANINGFUL EXISTENCE'S YOU COLORFUL SON OF A *BEEP*. As he braced himself as they began to attack. They all attacked mostly on three as those who try to go near Discord gets blasted by his laser or gets swatted away and looked as they worked together, Discord's anger was now soaring as tried to keep his cool and continued to attack. The other three were not so lucky they were confused and constantly stunned from their attacks. Luckily Tirek stopped them with a fist into the ground and Discord floated them next to them and commented "nice job" before looking in the army's direction.
Twilight began a speech which Discord didn't listen to much and yawned. Before Twilight summoned the prisoners and even worse an all familiar rainbow shot out of Twilight! That was the last straw, seeing that rainbow again brought him to his full rage, time froze as he yelled at the top of his lungs before turning completely red and a fire aura surrounded him with his eyes glowing completely white. Time resume and Discord put up a shield as the rainbow collided with the shield as Discord countered with a Demonic voice full of anger, hatred and while still having his calm voice added to it, "YeS InDeED TwIlIgHt, WhErE tHeRe Is LiGhT, tHeRe Is AlSo DARKNESS!!!!!!!!!!!" Discord finished before transferring a bit of his power into the others before commanding "TOGETHER!!!!" As the three others fired all together into one massive beam pushing back the beam before Discord finished the laser with a "KAA-MEEE-HAAA-ME-HAAAAAAA!" as a giant laser added to the laser pushing the beam back even closer to the ponies as they looked on in worry before Discord sealed the coffin with a "Kaio-ken!!" As it struck the ponies causing a massive explosion sending them all back including the ones in the air landing painfully on the ground and seeing Discord in a form they never recognized before feeling something.
Something they never thought to experience as they began turning to stone. Some tried to get away but it was all in vain, it was too late, the villains have won. In the end every single creature that was brought together was turned to stone on that day. Discord wanted no chances so he destroyed them by dropping them thousands of feet in the air before letting them go and shattering against the ground similar to the Storm King's demise. Discord landed before them and looked at each other before Discord proclaimed "WE DID IT, we finally won! The battles that ended all battles and we actually won!" AS Discord began high five them as they all hollered in victory and began to all happily and evilly laughed as they continued to congratulate each other before Discord stopped them.
"We did it and it wouldn't be accomplished without you three help and know Equestria is ours!" Chrysalis came up to him and looked him up and down before floating up and passionately kissed him as Discord yelped in surprise before his eyes began to close and kissed back as he held his paw to cheek and held it there and continued as Tirek and Cozy Glow watched with jaws dropped to the ground as they couldn't believe what they were seeing. The stopped the kiss as the both breathed heavily before Discord replied with "I'm guessing that was thank you and, yes, yes I will keep my promise I will get your kingdom back, not only that but we can set up headquarters where ever we want!"
"Ooh, ooh! I want to claim the school of friendship! Now with the others gone I can use all resources I need and become the all new and powerful "Princesses of Friendship!"
"I will take over ponyvile seeing how it was the place I first lost to Twilight awhile ago! Once one of my greatest failures has now become the area reminding ponies that their princesses are gone!"
"What about you dear Chrysalis?" Discord asked her as she decided to set up a new hive in Canterlot. "Ooh, Canterlot a perfect choice and not only that but we can keep in contact!"
"Ah but here's the thing Discord you get to come with me to the hive..." Chrysalis said smirking as Discord began to blush and began to realize what she meant. He smiled with one of the happiest grins he has ever had and started laughing before snapping his fingers and began the day and night cycle as they were no longer around. They all left heading to their areas and planning to take over the areas they desire and promised to stay in contact with each other before leaving.
So you see my friends not all stories have happy endings. Sometimes there are universes that were destined to get taken over and enslaved, this is one of these cases, so good bye and have a good rest of your time.
