Hello everypony, my name is Special Hoof. And, I'm the leader of the Universe's unstoppable heroes: the Great Defenders of Friendship. We started out as regular ponies living in separate ways until magic returned throughout the world. Since a princess appeared before and told me that I need to go on a quest with some friends, my life had changed forever. I wasn't sure if I was prepared for an adventure, but in the end, I had friends who helped me and we all became heroes. And after that, we continue to do more rescues, quests, and adventures. We'd got magical geodes, which gave us our very own powers. We traveled around the world and see amazing things, even in outer space. Most importantly, our own thing to do is to make friends with everypony and remind them of how important friendship is throughout the land and years. And of course, we told everypony to accept themselves and others the way they are because being special is what they have to do. And, we also became friends with other creatures: griffons, changelings, kirin, zebras, kelpies, abadas, poxies, breezies, dragons, yaks, deer, and hippogriffs/seaponies. They were amazing creatures, they'd show us ponies about how great they are in some way in the different species. But, what I'm gonna tell you is how me and my friends came to be. I was accepted to everyone, but my problem was that I couldn't figure why I was born so different. So, allow me to tell you of how we became heroes in book form.
Once upon a time, there was an earth pony named Sunny Starscout. She was living in a world without harmony, all she wanted to do is to get all ponies: earth ponies, pegasi, and unicorns, back together, but she didn't prevail. One day, a unicorn named Izzy Moonbow came to Maretime Bay and befriends Sunny. Izzy revealed that she and the rest of the unicorns have lost their magic. For that, Sunny began to help Izzy to figure out how the magic was lost by traveling to the pegasus city of Zephyr Heights, ruled by Queen Haven. But, when they got there, they got arrested and sent to the dungeon, which was more like a luxury hotel room, only behind bars. The queen's elder daughter, Zephrina Storm, or Zipp Storm, visits them in secret and helped them escape. She lead them to her secret hiding spot, which was an abandoned station for when unicorns and earth ponies used to visit Zephyr Heights. Zipp showed Sunny and Izzy a stained glass window, and on it were two crystals: one of pegasi and on of unicorns. Sunny figured that the magic was gone when the crystals were separated. So, they decided to find and bring the crystals back together in order to bring back magic and get all ponies back together too. Queen Haven had the pegasus crystal as part of her crown. Zipp, Sunny and Izzy made a plan to steal the crystal by replacing the crown with a decoy. They got the crown, but they didn't plan to escape, they accidentally ruined the royal celebration and performance of Princess Pipp Petals, Queen Haven's younger daughter and Zipp's younger sister. Since the whole city discovered the royals were faking their flying, the queen was sent to prison. But, Zipp and Pipp escaped with Sunny and Izzy. And, an earth pony stallion named Hitch Trailblazer, the sheriff of Maretime Bay, followed Sunny and Izzy along the way, only to arrest Sunny for breaking the town's rules. But then, he changed his mind to see how friendship is important for all ponies.
After the five ponies got the pegasus crystal, they had to get the unicorn crystal in Bridlewood Forest, home of all unicorns. The crystal was in the hoofs of a tall unicorn named Alphabittle Blossomforth, owner of the Crystal Tea Room. The only way to win the crystal is to beat Alphabittle's challenge of a dance game. Sunny won the challenge, but got her and her friends' covers blown, so they began to escape. But then, they ran into Queen Haven, who escaped from prison to search for her daughters. Sunny combined both the crystals together, but nothing happened. She went back to Maretime Bay to accept her failure. She started to storage her childhood stuff, and while she was organizing her pictures, she discovered a slot below the lighthouse light, and the last crystal: the earth pony crystal. The slot was for all three crystals to be placed into. But, before she could tell it to everypony, she and Hitch discovered that a bad earth pony named Sprout Cloverleaf took over Maretime Bay and was about to start a war. Sunny and her friends has to put the three crystals together in the slot, before it was too late. But unfortunately, it still didn't work, and Sprout destroyed Sunny's lighthouse with his war machine. Sunny was down to see her home gone and magic still not coming back. But then, she realized the true answer: it was the ponies that need to be brought back together, not the crystals. It was up to everpony to everything that was lost back to where it was, once they do the right stuff. What's important is that love and friendship is true magic, like it was many years ago. All the ponies choose friendship instead of fear, just the way Sunny wanted. And by that, the crystals became activated, turned Sunny into an alicorn, and magic came back to all over the world. The unicorns can finally levitate objects with their horns, the pegasi can finally fly with their wings, and the earth ponies can control plants with their hooves. Sunny was proud to bring harmony back.
Then, Sunny and her friends rebuilt her home into a Crystal Brighthouse, and became roommates. They learned lots of friendship lessons, went on more adventures, and made Equestria better place to live again. But then, Sunny was wondering right now, who would also be like her and her friends to keep friendship going after?
Right now, let's talk about me. It started after Sunny's adventures, like I was born in Zephyr Heights, and I was born with lots of gifts. I can interpet dreams to tell ponies what's gonna happen in their future, except my own dreams. I'm also born with lots of strength, speed, and smarts. And, I can invent some helpful inventions, do great works of art, build furniture, bake, cook, swim, climb on trees and mountains, hike trails, dance, sing, play all sorts of musical instruments, and so many more hobbies, personalities, and purposes that everyone had. But, the problem is that I couldn't figure out why I was born with all those gifts. All I wanted was an answer to help be unique or something. I was a pegasus with sea-form fur, brown hair, and wings with different shades of blue. But, I didn't have a cutie mark yet. Me and my parents moved from Zephyr Heights to Maretime Bay, when I was 7 years old. Right now, I was 9, and I was allowed to explore around town. As you could see, Zephyr Heights was a little too big for a little pony like me, that's why we moved away. My dad got a new job, he was the new manager of the Maretime Bay movie theater. My Mom has got a new job too, she was an assistant of a fashion shop. She loves making clothes, shoes, and other apparel. I've had a great family.
One morning, I was sleeping in my bed, until my alarm went off to wake me up. I got out of my bed and began to stretch. I was going to school that day. There were 5 more school days left before summer vacation was here. I made my bed, packed up my backpack with school supplies, went into the bathroom to brush my teeth and comb my mane, then downstairs to meet my parents at the dining room. My dad's name was Humble Hoof, and my mom's was Sharey Hoof.
"Good morning, Mom and Dad." I say to my parents.
"Morning, son." my dad replied.
"Morning, Special." said my mom.
Dad was going to work in a few minutes, he just wanted to say "goodbye" before I leave. Mom made me breakfast for school, and she made me lunch in my lunchbox.
"Here's some pancakes for you." Sharey said as she gave me my breakfast.
"Thank you, mom." I say to my mom.
After I'd finish my breakfast, I grabbed my book bag and lunchbox, kissed my parents goodbye, and walked out the door and started walking to school.
My childhood house was 30 yards away from town, I'd just have to walk like 10 blocks once I go into town. Before I could enter town, 2 foals followed me to school. One was an earth pony filly with fur that's lime colored, mane and tail in magenta and white streaks, and a cutie mark that was a yellow circle and multi-colored crescents. Her name was Amber Lake. The other foal was a unicorn colt with gold colored fur, copper colored mane and tail, and a cutie mark as a smiley face with a horseshoe for the smile. His name was Joydan Gallop.
"Hey guys, what's up?" I asked as I saw them walking towards me.
"We're just so excited about summer vacation coming soon." Amber answered. "My family's going to Zephyr Heights once school is over."
"And me and my family are going back to Bridlewood afterward." Joydan replied.
"I'm excited for summer, too." I responded.
Then suddenly, 2 more foals showed up. One of them was a pegasus filly with baby blue fur, mane and tail with streaks of white, blueberry blue and dark blue, and a cutie mark that was 2 clouds. Her name was Cloudy Carla, and she's my cousin. The other foal was also a unicorn colt, whose fur was red, mane and tail were light purple, and cutie mark as a planet with rings. His name Astro Alex.
" Hi everypony, I knew I could catch up with you." said Cloudy.
" I would be faster as a comet in the outer rim in space." said Astro.
"Great. Come on everypony, let's go to school." I say.
Once we all made it to the Maretime Bay Elementary School, there was an earth colt near the doors. He had bright yellow fur, vermillion colored mane and tail, and a cutie mark, which is a smiley sun. His name was Daytime Darwin.
"Daytime, how's our happy sunlight?" I asked Daytime.
"Well, I can feel the days of summer coming along the way." Daytime answered.
Then, we all got inside and few more of my friends along the way. Another earth pony colt with tangerine colored fur, red and primrose painted mane, and a cutie mark of a sliced tangerine. His name was Tangerine Twist. Another pegasus filly, whose fur was blueberry blue, mane and tail were light blue and chartreuse streaks, and cutie mark was a constellation of the Big Dipper. Her name was Constellation. Another earth pony filly with coral colored fur, infra red and pink mane and tail, and a cutie mark of magenta frosting. Her name was Frosty Flavor. A pegasus colt with teal colored fur, bright blue mane and tail, and a cutie mark of a big bubble. His name was Bubble Burst. And last, but not least, a unicorn filly with royal violet fur, mane and tail with 2 lighter shades of purple, and a cutie mark of a dark purple flower. Her name was Violet Rosey.
We all met each other at our lockers, we opened them up to put away our back packs and grab our school supplies for our classes. Before we can go to our classrooms, we began to talk about what's gonna happen.
"So everypony, what's happening at school today?" Constellation asked.
"I heard there's a new student is joining our class today." Bubble answered.
"A new student?" I asked surprisingly. "We should meet him or her now. Did somepony say where he or she came from?"
"No not yet." Astro said. "Let's go to class and see."
And, we all grabbed out stuff began to go into our classrooms.
Now, allow me to tell you about my friends. First, Amber Lake likes to make shoes, so everypony could have their hooves good looking.
Joydan Gallop is an expert of card games and board games. His favorite card game was poker, and his favorite board game was chess. And, he'll even reach anypony how to play the games by the rules.
Tangerine Twist was working at a farm. He helped his family for sometime, he enjoyed making some fruit juices and smoothies.
Cloudy Carla loves the weather; the sun, rain, snow, clouds, sleet, hail, wind, temperature, and even different weather in her imagination. And, the next thing is she loves animals. She sees them rather cute, and the animals are attracted to her. She is rather a very pegasus.
Constellation loves the night sky. She loves to see the stars at night, she would look through her favorite stargazer(telescope). She also loves to find shooting stars, and even make wishes upon the stars. And, she knew that someday her wishes would come true.
Daytime Darwin is an expert of fun, he could see how somepony else was blue(sad) that they couldn't find something fun, he can help them find it.
Frosty Flavor wants to be a baker and have her own bakery, when she grows up. What she loves to bake is cakes, but she can also bake cupcakes, muffins, cookies, scones, and even a creme brulee. Frosty is the best baker anypony has ever known.
Bubble Burst loves to blow bubbles. He blows bubbles big and small, and he was able to do bubble art(bubble shapes). Bubble if the best bubble blower ever. And, he wants to be a sailor, when he grows up.
Violet Rosey is graceful sometimes. She loves gardening and horticulture. She knows how all plants are important to everypony. And, what she loves to plant are flowers.
And last off, Astro Alex loves the night sky too, but he also loves outer space. He loves to learn about the stars, planets, moons, asteroids, meteorites, comets, galaxies, the universe, and the multiverse. He hoped someday he could go to space and find out.
Once me and my friends entered out classroom, we put our school supplies on our own desks before class starts. Our teacher, Ms. Mareson, came in and told all her students to take their seats, that class was starting now.
"Morning class." said Ms. Mareson. "As you all know, summer vacation is now 5 more days, we'd have to have our studies finished on time, before our fun begins."
We all sat down in our desks and listened to our teacher loud and clear.
"Also, we have a new student in class today."
And then, the new student walked into our classroom. It was a unicorn filly, whose fur was solid white, mane and tail were colored purple, pink, magenta, and blue, and her cutie mark was 3 stars, each with different colors.
"Hello everypony." said the new student. "My name is Ellagant Glare."
We were all starting to like her, she was looking amazing. Ellagant sat at her own desk, put her stuff down, and we all started class.
Hours later in the day, school was over, and we all left and started to walk back to our homes. I told my friends I would see them around, before to started walking back home.
I walked near the boardwalk, where ponies would look at the beautiful views of the beach and the ocean. I stopped to take a look at the sea, it was amazing with the waves, boats, dolphins, and whales. Anypony could go sailing to see the wonders of the ocean. And at the beach, ponies would build sandcastles, tan, and drink their favorite drinks.
While I was still enjoying the view of the ocean, Ellagant Glare, the same new unicorn student, walked by and saw me close by. She recognized me, she walked closer to me tapped me to get my attention.
"Hi there." she said. "Did they say your name is Special Hoof?"
"Yes I am." I answered.
"Well, it's nice to meet you."
"What brings you here to Maretime Bay?" I asked her.
"Well, me and my family moved here 2 days ago. My mom just got a new job at Mane Melody."
"Cool, that's the hair salon owned by Princess Pipp Petals herself."
"I know. I love Pipp so much."
"Well Ellagant, Maretime Bay is a great place to live and visit. There's lots of shops to buy stuff, an art museum, a rope course, and this beach here is full of fun and sunshine."
"Thank you, Special. I can't wait to do all of this." Ellagant said happily. "Can you show me around? My parents let me go exploring after school."
"Sure." I answered. "Let me show you my house, my parents are probably still at work."
Ellagant and I made to my house to hang out a little. My parents were still at work, so we'd need some time to know each other.
"You look amazing, Special." Ellagant told me. "You may be a pegasus, but you are unique."
As I looked at Ellagant, I saw the beauty of her. She was the beautiful unicorn I'd ever seen. Her blue eyes sparkled like mine, her mane was stylish and glittering, and her hooves were good in silver. When Ellagant looked at me staring at her, she thought I was inspiring her, which I was.
"Do you also like staring contests?" she asked me.
Then, she stared at me for 5 seconds, until she blinked,
"Sorry, I blinked. You're really good at keeping your eyes opened."
"There's a real unicorn in my house." I talked to myself. "This is so great!" I said excitingly.
"Whoa. You have a stargazer? It looks so beautiful." Ellagant said when she saw my telescope.
"So your name was Ellagant Glare?" I asked her.
"Of course." she answered.
"Okay, can I call you Ella?"
"Ella? I love it! I always want a nickname!"
Then, I thought of something: I took some cookies out of the kitchen cabinet, so me and Ella could have a short snack.
"Special, your house looks pretty. You should come to my new house someday, it's full of amazing design." Ella requested me.
"That would be great, but why don't we go to the roof for a few minutes?" I say.
"The roof? Okay."
Ella and I went upstairs to the roof. Once we got there, Ella was amazed in awe about how it looked. The roof was my own private place. There was a big shade tent to keep me a little better to see from sunlight, and protected from rainy days. My dad got it completely secured, so the wind doesn't blow it away. What I had on the roof was some been bag chairs soft enough to on, book shelves full of books, a table for arts and crafts, a table where I write my stories and do my homework, a table where I eat my lunch, and a television for watching movies and playing video games. It was the best fun place a family could have.
"This is your own special place? Ella asked me. "It's lovely."
"My parents set this up for me." I told Ella. "It's for my friends too, whenever they come over."
Ella and I sat on the bean bag chairs, eating cookies. Then, we started asking each other some questions.
"So, were you born in Zephyr Heights?" Ella asked me.
"Yes I was." I say. "I lived there for 7 years, until my parents knew it was a little too big for me. They knew Maretime Bay would be the best place to live, so we'd move here."
"I see." said Ella. What was it like? Does it have lots of shops and malls? Is it ruled by Queen Haven?"
"Oh yeah." And then, I just remembered something else. "Hey, let me get my journal"
I got off my seat, walked towards my desk, took out my journal, and walked back to Ella to ask her some questions I need to know.
"Okay, I've prepared a lot of questions for new friends." I told Ella. "Question #1: Where did you came from?"
"Bridlewood."
"I knew it. Do you unicorns really live in tress?"
"Of course. And, our trees in all shapes and sizes whenever we move away from one to another."
"Cool. Can you also play some games whenever you got the time?"
Then, I thought of something else that would be very interesting from Ella.
"Can you make this float?" I asked as I tossed a wooden block to her.
"Well, of course." she answered.
Ella used her magic to levitate the wooden block.
"I could also do this." Ella said when she was going to show me something else.
The next thing she did with her magic was using a transfiguration spell to turn the wooden block into a plastic box. And, I was amazed to see her doing it.
"You can turn that wooden block into a plastic box?" I asked Ella surprisingly.
"I can do unicorn spells; I've been studying magic to be powerful."
Then, Ella showed me more unicorn spells. She demonstrates a shield spell, which shields around her; A teleportation spell, which helps herself and/or anypony and anything to different locations; a freeze spell, which freezes anypony without stopping theirs eyes and speaking from moving; a transformation spell, which transform herself and/or anypony else into anything they want or need to be; a simulation spell, which gives her some simulations of potential outcomes; a cloud-walking spell, which lets herself and anypony else to literally walk on clouds; a crystallizing spell, which could crystallize anything or get ponies trapped in big crystals; a super speed spell, which could help her go super fast; a self-duplication spell, which could let her make a clone of herself; an invisibility spell, which could help herself and a friend camouflage; and other spells that will be told for later.
I was in awe to see Ella doing those spells.
"You can perform spells? No way." I exclaimed. "I bet the other unicorns at Bridlewood were inspired with you magic skills."
When Ella heard my words, she changed her smile to frown, slightly.
"Actually, nopony appreciates my magic skills back in Bridlewood." she said.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
Then, she started telling me her story of her time in Bridlewood.
The story took place back to when Ellagant Glare was 3 years old in her old home in Bridlewood. She was living with her parents, who were unicorns like her. Her father was named Lumere Trunk, and her mother was named Blossom Twink. Ella started narrating the story to me.
"I was 3 years old back in Bridlewood." Ella said. "My parents taught me how to levitate objects with my magic."
Toddler Ella was making her ball float, just like her parents taught her.
"I was doing it well, but then my magic starts to go a little brighter, I felt like I was a little charged up."
Ella's magic came to swirls, right up to the ball. Then, the ball changed into a cube.
"I'd turn the ball into a cube. That's when I discovered I could do spells."
Then, the story skipped to when Ella was 5 years old.
"When I was 5, I was reading a book of unicorn magic. It had lots of lessons of how to use the spells properly and carefully."
She read to book and studied a spell to use. It was the transfiguration spell. She tried it on a block, and it worked.
"The transfiguration spell was the first spell I'd ever studied."
Now to when Ella was 6 years old. She studied and performed more spells throughout the months, but something worse had happened.
When I was 6, I did more spells, and I showed everypony around. But, nopony impressed with my skills at all."
Then, when Ella was 7 years old, she got made fun of from the other unicorn foals.
"Everypony around Bridlewood was being mean to me. Telling me that I was puny, terrible, not all that smart, and that I'm not like them."
After the story was over, Ella was shedding a few tears about her past. I was feeling sorry for her.
"Ella, I'm sorry about what had happened." I say.
"That's okay." Ella said. "But, maybe they were right about me, maybe I'm not a special unicorn. I'm more magical, but I'm not special."
After Ellagant Glare told me about her time in Bridlewood, we walked outside my house to talk more.
"Everypony wasn't happy to see me doing spells around them." Ella said.
"So, what do you do since you came here to Maretime Bay?" I asked Ella.
"I just kept my magic performance a secret, so I'd never be making fun of again."
"I understand." I said as I wrapped my arm around Ella. "You know, I like your performance when you showed me what you can do. It was the best thing I'd ever seen for years. When you know you're special, it doesn't matter what everyone else thinks or says; you can just be your true self."
Ella was listening to every word I said and feeling a little better.
"I'll see what I could do about it." Ella told me. "I'll see you around town, and around summertime too."
Then, Ella walked off. She walked across the street, turned left, and went into her new house not far from my house.
"Her new house was across the street?" I talked to myself.
I was excited to see Ella living across the street, I may visit there someday.
Hours later, it was dinner time at my house; my parents made spaghetti with garlic bread sticks on the side. I started telling my parents about everything at school.
"So Special, how was school today?" my dad asked me.
"Well, there was a new student in class." I say.
"A new student? Really? Was it another pegasus?" my mom asked.
"Actually, no. It was a unicorn filly from Bridlewood."
"Oh, I see."
"Right after school, she bumped into me, when I was at the boardwalk. We became close friends throughout our spare times."
Then, I my smile turned upside-down as I was going to tell my parents about her time in Bridlewood.
"But, she told me about her time in Bridlewood, and it turned out bad for her. She's more magical than any unicorn; she can perform some other magic spells from her horn. But, the other unicorns in Bridlewood were teasing her and telling her she's not like everypony else."
"That's not very nice to say that." my dad said.
"Well, I told her that she needed to be herself no matter what everypony said."
"Well, that's great of you to say." said my mom.
"I just hope she's okay, now."
Now let's go and visit Ellagant's new house. Ella was having dinner with her parents. They were having grilled cheese sandwiches with mozzarella sticks on the side.
"I made a new friend today." Ella was telling her parents. "His name was Special Hoof, and he's a pegasus."
"A new friend?" Ella's mom asked her. "I new you would make new friends at school someday."
"Was he friendly?" Ella's dad asked.
"Very friendly." Ella answered. "He's sweet, and the best thing about him is that he's literally a really special pony."
"How special is he?" Ella's mom asked.
"110% special. I told him everything about my time in Bridlewood."
"Do you told him about your unicorn powers?"
"Yes, and he also gave me an advice: be myself no matter what everypony else says or thinks."
"Well, that was very cool of him to say." said Ella's dad. "It's like he knows what's right and wrong."
Ella seemed to be enjoying her time in her new home and life in Maretime Bay. She hopes someday she could make a difference.
Nighttime fell upon Maretime Bay, it was time for everypony to close the stores and restaurants, head home, and get some sleep for the next day. I'd brush my teeth after I took a bath. Then, I put on my pajamas for the night. It was Friday night so I could stay up a little late tonight before I could go to bed. I went up to the roof to play for a while.
I was worried about Ellagant Glare since she had a rough time back in Bridlewood. I got out of the tent to see Ella's new house. I used my binoculars, so I could see far enough to see how Ella was doing. Ella was in her pajamas, going to bed. Her mother was tucking her in.
"I definitely love Maretime Bay, there's lots of sites to see." Ella said happily.
"Maybe we'll go on a tour tomorrow, it'll be fun." said Ella's mom.
"You're amazing. Thank you for being my mom."
You're welcome, sweetie."
Then, Blossom kissed her daughter goodnight, turned off the lights, and closed the bedroom door. Then, Ella went to sleep.
I've watched the whole scene to check on Ella, and it seemed she was doing okay. I was hoping she would cheer up more someday.
Now, as you can see, I was wondering why I'm the only pony with such gifts. Nopony mind about my skills, but I wanted answers. You may think it's a secret, but it's not, it'll be revealed throughout the rest of the story. But, other than myself and Ella, I was hoping everypony in Equestria stays friendly to each other, it was the only way to keep ourselves alive. We all used to distrust each other a few years ago. But then, when the ponies got back together, the magic came back. I just wished it stays that way. And then all of the sudden, I saw light coming from a big bright star in the night sky. When I looked at it, I started to make a wish to have everypony get a chance to make a difference. Then, I began to enjoy the night sky.
I was still looking at the night sky, when suddenly, the bright star starts to glow brighter. In fact, the star was approaching me, I started to back up a bit. As it was getting closer, it turned from white to magenta. Once it landed on my roof, the star changed into a pony. That pony turned out to be a pretty tall alicorn. She had purple fur, her beautiful wavy mane and tail had colors of purple, dark purple, and magenta, and her cutie mark was a magenta star. It was none other than Twilight Sparkle herself, Equestria's rightful ruler, and the Princess of Friendship.
"Special Hoof," she said. "I'm Princess Twilight Sparkle, ruler of Equestria, and princess of friendship."
"Princess Twilight? I've read about you." I say. " What are you doing here?'
"I've come to tell you something I want you to do." Twilight answered.
Then, she offered me her hoof, before I took it. She and I flew up into the night sky.
We were approaching a vortex full of stars and swirls. As we entered, we were zooming a little faster. It didn't take long enough to get to the other side. Then, Twilight and I were at strange, ethereal space full of stars and nebulae. We were walking on a trail of stars, it was like walking on a sidewalk to heaven. Twilight was telling me something while we were walking.
"Special, as you can see, the reason why you're here, is because I've chosen you for a quest." Twilight told me.
"A quest?" I asked.
Then, Princess Twilight used her magic to make a magic-like projector to demonstrate.
"A long time ago, When I was a principal of the school of friendship in Ponyville, a pegasus filly named Cozy Glow turned evil against Equestria. She was stealing magic at first, then she was freed to her secret hideout far away. She used the Bewitching Bell to make herself all-powerful to take over the land. Me my friends, and multiple allies from around and beyond defeated her. Then, Princesses Celestia and Luna, and Discord turned her into stone as punishment."
I listened to every word from the princess; I could see that it was an important quest.
"Why would a foal do anything like that?" I asked the princess.
"The answer to the question is unknown." Twilight said.
After she showed me the story of Cozy Glow, she turned towards me to tell me more.
"But the stone prison wasn't permanent, Cozy has returned to Equestria 15 years ago. There was no clue of where she went until now. She's at the old castle of the two sisters in the Everfree Forest."
"You want me to go to the castle and defeat Cozy, alone?"
"No Special, you will be going on this quest with a group of foals and Sunny Starscout and her friends."
"Thank you, Princess Twilight."
"One more thing: you should know, the answer of how you were with your gifts will be given to you on your trip, too."
"How will I know my answers will come to me?"
"You'll know, my little pony. Now tomorrow morning, go see Sunny and the others at the Crystal Brighthouse. They will be there to support and the foals."
I won't let you down, Twilight. I'll make everypony proud."
Then, Twilight led me back home, by using her magic to teleport me out of the ethereal space and into the sky above Maretime Bay. And, I flew back down on my roof of my house.
I got back inside my house, and went into my bedroom. I was feeling tired after seeing the Princess of Friendship. I climbed into my bed, pulled the covers on myself, rested my head on my pillow, and went to sleep for the next day to come.
That was the beginning of my very first friendship quest. Over a thousand years ago, Princess Twilight Sparkle was a guardian of harmony along with her friends; Applejack, Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Parity, Fluttershy, and Spike. They protected Equestria from being destroyed by anything involving disharmony. Now, she's chose me to do the work for her.
The very next morning after I had breakfast, my parents walked to work, which gave me lots of time to go to the Crystal Brighthouse. I grabbed my backpack and emptied out my school supplies, I packed some snacks, drinks, a sleeping bag, a flashlight, sunscreen, bug spray, a pillow, an inflatable mattress, sunglasses, and my own cell phone. I feared my parents would be mad at me for sneaking away from home (my house), so I wrote them a note to let them I was going to be gone for a few days. I grabbed my stuff, left my house, and started my walk to the Crystal Brighthouse.
It took a few minutes to get to the Brighthouse, it was located on a cliff in Maretime Bay. When I arrived, I could see how beautiful it was, the design is intended to present elements from Maretime Bay, Bridlewood, and Zephyr Heights. It was used to be a lighthouse for Sunny Starscout and her late father, Argyle Starshine. But since Sunny and her friends were trying to get magic back by puzzling the Unity Crystals, Sprout Cloverleaf wrecked the lighthouse down to stop them. After everypony was reunited in friendship, Sunny and her friends rebuilt the lighthouse into the Crystal Brighthouse. It was now Sunny's home, for Izzy Moonbow, Pipp Petals, and Zipp Storm.
I'd knock the front door to let anypony inside know I've arrived. The door opened, revealing Sunny Starscout herself. Sunny was an earth pony with orange fur, primrose colored mane with rainbow streaks, and her cutie mark was a shooting star. Sunny can transform into an alicorn whenever she needed to.
"Oh hello." Sunny said when she saw me. "Are you Special Hoof?"
"Yes I am." I say. "And, you must be Sunny Starscout."
"Of course. Princess Twilight told me you would come."
She let me inside the Brighthouse. I met mote ponies inside: Sunny's friends, and more foals Twilight told me about.
Let me tell you about Sunny's friends. Izzy Moonbow was a female energetic unicorn. Her fur was purple, her mane was blue, long and curly, and her cutie mark was a blue heart with a button in the center and three pins on the side. She loves to make arts and crafts, and she could even do some unicycling.
Hitch Trailblazer was a male earth pony. His fur was yellow, has mane was turquoise, and his cutie mark was a shield with a blue horseshoe on it. He's the sheriff of Maretime Bay, he's good at keeping the town safe and sound. And, one thing about Hitch is that animals are attracted to him, he became friends with them.
Pipp Petals was a beautiful pegasus. Her fur was pink, her mane was stylishly purple with a tiara, and her cutie mark was a musical note with a crown. She was the princess of Zephyr Heights. She was also the manager and stylist of her own salon, Mane Melody. Pipp was a very popular pony, she was a singer, dancer, and media influencer. Everypony loves her all around Equestria.
Zephyrina Strom, or Zipp Storm, was a cool looking pegasus, and Pipp's elder sister. Her fur was white, her mane was pink, scarlet red, and light blue streaks, and her cutie mark was a red and blue lightning bolt with a crown on top. Zipp was also a princess of Zephyr Heightsm and the heir to the throne. She was a teacher of flying to teach the pegasi how to fly better. Zipp was also Maretime Bay's detective, she checked around town for anything suspicious and solve mysteries.
"Hey kid. How are you doing today?" Hitch asked when he walked up towards me.
"Really well." I answered to Hitch. "It's great to see you sheriff."
Hitch's animal friends showed up right by his sides. A bunny came to me and jumped onto my head.
"It looks like your animal friends like me." I chuckled as the bunny was tickling me.
"Okay Hopps, off of him, please." Hitch told the bunny.
Then, I met Izzy Moonbow next.
"Hi little friend, my name's Izzy." she introduced herself to me.
"Hi Izzy. I'm Special." I introduced myself to Izzy.
"Do you mean you have a special name?"
"No, I mean, Special is literally my first name."
"On, okay."
"What do you do?"
"Well, I love to make art, and I also love to unicycle some things to make them new."
"I can't wait to see what you would make."
Then, Pipp Petals was next to meet, and I was excited to meet Equestria's pop star.
"Princess Pipp Petals!" I say excitingly.
"Hello Special Hoof. You look really cute." Pipp said to me.
"I listened to some of your songs, sang them, and danced to them, too. I would definitely like make up my own songs someday, and even make music with some instruments."
"That would be great, it's just gonna be a while for you to make a band to play songs."
"Hey, can you sign my picture of you?"
"Of course." Pipp said as took out her pen and signed her signature on my picture.
And then, I last met Zipp Storm.
"Hey, kid." Zipp said to me.
"Hello, Princess Zephyrina Storm. It's great meet you too, and you really are cool looking." I say to Zipp.
"Thank you, but please just call me Zipp."
"Alright Zipp."
"Are you able to fly like me?"
"Yes I am. In fact, I got some cool flying stunts I'd like to show you later."
Can't wait to see."
After I met Sunny and her friends, I'd started meeting the foals.
There were 23 foals around me. There were even some of the same foals I became friends with at school: Amber Lake, Joydan Gallop, Tangerine Twist, Cloudy Carla, Constellation, Daytime Darwin, Frosty Flavor, Bubble Burst, Violet Rosey, Astro Alex, and even Ellagant Glare was there too.
There were also more foals I haven't met yet. Let's start with the earth ponies. The first one was a colt; he had purple fur, his mane and tail were blue, and his cutie mark was a scared face. His name was Fearful Moe. There was another colt, his fur was brownish white, his mane and tail were dark brown and copper streaks, and his cutie mark was a log with tools on top. His name was Carver Crafty. Next was another colt; his fur was copper colored, his mane was light brown, and his cutie mark was a brown feather. His name Bronze Feather. And last, but not least, the last earth pony was a colt as well. His fur was gray, his mane was white and black streaks like a zebra, and his cutie mark was a soccer ball. His name was Soccer Score.
Now, let's go with the unicorns. The first unicorn was a filly; her fur was sage colored, her mane and tail were green and chartreuse streaks, and her cutie mark was a disgusting looking face, Her name was Disgusted Lex. The next one was a colt; he had white fur, his mane and tail were brownish orange, and his cutie mark was two horseshoes. His name was Horseshoe Henry. The next one was a filly; her fur was amethyst colored, her mane was magenta and honey colored streaks, and her cutie mark was a big pink ruby. Her name was Sharpy Gem. The last one was also a filly; her fur was ballet slipper pink, her mane was bubblegum pink and hot pink streaks, and her cutie mark was a roll a streamer. Her name was Streamer Smooth.
Now, for the pegasi. One of them was a filly; her fur was in a shade of fuscia, her mane was raspberry color, rose color, and coral color in streaks, and her cutie mark was a bunch of fruit. Her name was Fruity Tooty. The other pegasus was a colt; his fur was raspberry colored, his mane and tail were marigold, and his cutie mark was a green stitch with two needles. His name was Needle Stitch. The next one was a filly; her fur was orchid colored, her mane and tail were orange, green, and purple like a rainbow, and her cutie mark was a palette with different colored paints. Her name was Color Carol. And the last pegasus was also a filly; her fur was orange, her mane was light yellow and baby blue streaks, and her cutie mark was roller blades. Her name was Rollette Skate.
Princess Twilight was right, I wouldn't be going on this quest alone. Sunny and her friends were coming along to be my guide, and the foals were also called by Twilight to come along.
"Hey, ponies." I said to the foals from school.
"Special!" my friends shouted when they turned around and noticed me.
"You're here, too!" Cloudy Carla replied.
"Well, I can't be doing anything on my own." I say.
"Do you think we can ever do something more heroic on our big quest?" Astro Alex asked me.
"I'm sure whatever lies ahead, we'll face it together." I told everypony. "I'm gonna meet the other foals."
As I was meeting the foals I'd haven't met, let me tell you about their talents and personalities. Fruity Tooty loves to make some food that only involves fruit like smoothies, juices, punches, and her favorite food, fruit salad. She was born on a farm full of fruit trees. She was working really hard to help her family with farm chores.
Disgusted Lex was a little shallow, stuck up, and sarcastic. She has high expectations for everyone around her and sometimes isn't very patient. She always has the best intentions and refuses to lower her standards.
Fearful Moe was a very sensitive earth pony, meaning he was super scaredy. He's afraid of almost everything. He knows that sometimes fear keeps him and everypony else safe. And sometimes, he knew there will be nothing to be afraid of.
Horseshoe Henry loves to do some sketching. He always comes with his papers and pencils, even some colored pencils. Whenever he sees something very inspiring, he would take out his paper and sketch a picture.
Sharpy Gem wants to be a jewelry maker when she grows up. She was really good at making something with jewels, crystals, gems, gemstones, and even with glitter. She could make earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces, and even glass slippers. She was hoping she would get everypony to notice her work of art.
Carver Crafty wants to be a wood carver when he grows up. He was really good at carving something out of wood. Whenever he sees anything inspiring, he would carve it down for more inspiration. And, he was also good at doing some D.I.Y. for anypony.
Needle Stitch is clothes designer. He could write down some designs for any clothing, find the fabric material and color would fit the design, and start creating the clothes. He also designs costumes, dresses, and ball gowns for any occasion. He could make clothes for any other creature other than ponies.
Streamer Smooth loves party decorations. Sometimes, when she was put in charge of decorating a party, she could tell what decorations would be the right ones for the party. She may be a super duper party pony when she grows up.
Bronze Feather was feather collector. Whenever he sees a loose feather from a bird or even a pegasus, he would pick it up and add it to his collection. Also, Bronze can study birds around Maretime Bay and other places in Equestria.
Color Carol wants to have her own paint shop and art school when she grows up. She loves to do all kinds of art like paintings, sculptures, clay pots, collages, montages, mosaics, origami, colorings, and many more. She would teach anypony how to do art the right way, that way everypony would enjoy some art.
Rollette Skate loves roller skating, skateboarding, scootering, biking, and unicycling. She wants to have her own skate park full of ramps, handrails, ledges, and stairs. She liked to do it inside and/or outside, and day and/or night.
And last off, Soccer Score loves to do sports. His favorite sport was soccer. He also plays acrobatics, gymnastics, archery, swimming, baseball, basketball, bowling, boxing, canoeing, dodgeball, fencing, football, frisbee, golf, hang gliding, hockey, skiing, kite surfing, parachuting, paragliding, polo, rafting, rock climbing, sandboarding, scuba diving, snowboarding, surfing, tennis, table tennis, track and field, trampolining, vollyball, weightlifting, wind surfing, and wrestling. He really works out a lot, he was really good at every sport. He would even be a sports coach someday.
Now that you know about my new friends, let's get back to the story. After I met the foals, I started wondering about Ellagant Glare. She was in the kitchen, looking out the window. I walked up to her to check on her.
"Hey, Ella." I said to Ella.
"Oh, hi Special." she said back to me after she turned her head towards me,
"Are you doing okay?" I asked.
"Yes, yes I am." she answered. "I'm happy you're coming along on this trip."
"Me too. Did you saw Princess Twilight last night?"
"Oh yes. She appeared from the brightest star in the night sky. Then, she took me to a mysterious realm of stars and told me about a bad pony named Cozy Glow, who's about to conquer Equestria. She asked me to join you and the other foals to head to the Everfree Forest."
"I'm sure everything will be okay."
"Do you think I'm needed with my magic skills for this quest?"
"110%."
After a little while, Sunny Starscout appeared before me and the other foals to tell us some rules and advises about our trip.
"Attention colts and fillies, may I have your attention?" said Sunny. "It's almost time to go on our quest to the Everfree Forest. What I want you all to know is that there may be some dangerous obstacles along the way, so we want you to stay close together so nopony gets hurt or lost."
"It's gonna take like 3 to 5 days to get there, so we must be packed up and ready." Hitch said.
"Princess Twilight is counting on us to keep Equestria safe and balanced with friendship and harmony. We can't let Cozy temp anypony to hate each other, otherwise our homeland will be a no show." said Zipp.
Now that everypony was ready, we all grabbed our bags and suitcases, and we all left the Crystal Brighthouse. And, we were off on our very first quest to save Equestria.
Let's go to the Everfree Forest. Cozy Glow was at the Castle of the Two Sisters as her hideout. She was overlooking at chamber. She was making her own minions made of lumber and wood. A machine was mixing the lumber with magic from the Bewitching Bell Cozy found since she was turned into stone years ago. Her wooden minions were a little scary for even foals ages 0-5.
Cozy was remembering her past in ancient Equestria. When she was a filly, she attended the School of Friendship, but then villainous nature was revealed as she manipulates Twilight and her friends into going to Tartarus, captures a unicorn named Starlight Glimmer, and, with the help from Tirek, steals some magical artifacts to harness their magic to take over Equestria. Her plans were foiled by the intervention of the Tree of Harmony, causing the magic she stole to return to its rightful owners. Caught between Twilight and other ponies and creatures, Cozy is defeated and sentenced to imprisonment within Tartarus, with Tirek.
After her first fail, Cozy and Tirek were transported out of their cages by an evil goat named Grogar, who also assembles them with an evil changeling named Chrysalis, and an evil unicorn named King Sombra, in order to join forces against the Mane 6. Cozy wasn't familiar with Grogar since his name has all but faded into a legend, but she is interested in the idea of befriending the villains. Cozy, Chrysalis, and Tirek were tasked by Grogar with retrieving the Bewitching Bell from the summit of Mt. Everhoof, but she was not able to cooperate with Chrysalis and Tirek at first. Cozy tries to gain safe passage up the mountain from a guard, but he refuses, and all attempts to go up alone end in failure. When Cozy finally learns to work together with Chrysalis and Tirek, they successfully retrieve the Bewitching Bell and decided to use it in their scheme to overthrow Grogar.
After they got the Bewitching Bell, Cozy, Chrysalis, and Tirek decided to infiltrate Canterlot's library forbidden wing to get information in how to activate Grogar's bell and use its magic. Cozy takes part in sabotaging the last Summer Set Celebration, and during the confusion, she and her villains stole a book from the Canterlot Archives, which they plan to use to learn how to unlock the bell's power. Cozy, Chrysalis, and Tirek successfully unlocked the power of the Bewitching Bell to make themselves all-powerful, with Cozy herself turning into an alicorn. They also drain Grogar of his magic, revealing him to be Discord in disguise. Cozy tricks her comrades into letting her absorb Discord's magic in an attempt to betray them. But, it failed due to her inability to control Discard's chaos, leaving her no choice but to let it be returned to the bell. In the evil trio's siege upon Equestria, Cozy attacks the Mane 6 and the Royal Sisters at the Canterlot Castle (using the bell to take Princesses Celestia and Luna's magic), and she, Chrysalis and Tirek overwhelm them as Twilight made her escape.
The 3 villains imprisoned Twilight's friends and celebrate their victory, but fail to reach an agreement regarding what to do with the magic they stole. After the rest of the Mane 6 escape and the windigos appear as a result of their creating distrust among ponies, Cozy and the other villains face off against the Mane 6, and later an army of their allies in a grand final battle. At the end of the battle, Cozy was turned back into a pegasus, and she and her cohorts were frozen in stone as punishment for their crimes.
After she thought of her moments over 100 years ago, one of her thugs interrupted her.
"Excuse me, Miss Cozy Glow," he said. "I have good news: the army is going on schedule and we still have a lot more lumber to make extra henchponies."
"Is there bad news?" Cozy asked.
"A group of 5 ponies and 24 foals are on their way to us. I think they're gonna came and attack us."
"Some travelers coming? Well, we better get ready for their arrival. Just keep the production in line."
"You got it, my Empress."
The guard left to do Cozy's orders, while Cozy started to do some thinking.
"So you little ponies think you can come over and stop me? Well, not when I beat you with my army and make everypony in Equestria distrust each other for good."
Then, Cozy let out her evil laugh as thunder and lightning appeared Equestria needed to be protected for good.
For me, my friends, and the Mane 5, we were walking across the prairie for 2 hours after we left the Crystal Brighthouse. The prairie was amazing, it was planted with tall green grass, beautiful flowers, and it has great bugs. Everypony seems to be enjoying this quest.
"Hello everypony." said Pipp. She was on her cell phone to livestream and broadcast the events of our quest. "Today, me and my friends are going on a quest to save Equestria again."
Then, she pointed her phone at me and the other foals to us on screen.
"We also brought along some foals with us. Say "hi" kids." Pipp told me and the other foals.
We all waved and said "hi" and "hello" to the audience.
"This trip is going to take days to get there, but I'm everything would go well along the way. I promise Equestria will be safe and sound once we complete the quest. Alright everypony, I'd better get going now. Pipp Pipp Hooray!"
"Pipp Pipp Hooray!" everypony else shouted.
We were still walking through the prairie, I was wondering what our next stop could be. So, I ran ahead towards Sunny Starscout and asked her a few questions.
"Miss Starscout, do you know where we're going next?" I asked.
"Yes, Special." Sunny said.
Then, she pulled out her map her father kept years ago and showed me the next destination.
"The prairie here is very big. It now might take like 7 minutes to get to the pond. The pond is our next destination."
"The big pond? I asked. " How big is it?"
"The pond is 2,000 feet big."
"That's so big for us to get across, I don't think we can swim to the other side."
"I'm sure we'll find a way."
We were still trotting through the field, when Fruity Tooty spotted a big apple tree up ahead.
"Everypony, I've found a really big apple tree." Fruity shouted.
Then, we all ran towards the tree. As we stood right in front of it, we were amazed of how it looks, even Pipp took a picture of it on her phone. It was super tall like a skyscraper from a city, the leaves were purple instead of green, and all of the apples were very ripe and red and really big.
"It looks like all the apples in the tree are so ready to be harvest." Izzy Moonbow exclaimed.
"Luckily, I'm an expert of how the fruits are." Fruity said. "And, according to my theory, all the apples are ripe, meaning we could eat them."
We all felt pleased to hear Fruity's words.
"I know how to harvest them." I say. "Pegasi, we fly up and pick the apples, while the earth ponies and unicorns can catch them from below."
"I brought some satchels with me." Needle Stitch replied.
Then, we all get to work. The pegasi flew up high to pick some apples from the high branches and placed them in their satchels. The unicorns used their magic to levitate the apples from the low branches for the earth ponies to catch into their satchels. And then after it was done, we continue walking to the big pond.
We saw the big pond up ahead of us, it was like 700 feet away, which wasn't far away. We continued walking there.
"Wow, this meadow is amazing after all." said Violet Rosey. "All the flowers are blooming so beautifully, the grass os so tall for even bigger bugs, and the trees are so big for squirrels and birds to live in."
"And, don't forget about the bunnies." Cloudy Carla added. "Bunnies are the cutest critters ever. Even when they have either horns or wings."
Then, a bunny hopped out of hiding and stood in front of Cloudy.
"There's one bunny now." Cloudy said cheerfully.
She then started nuzzling with the bunny as the rest of us were laughing and enjoying Cloudy's playing.
We all arrived at the big pond. It was really big, it was far away to get to the other side.
"Wow, this is some big pond." Fearful Moe exclaimed.
"This pond is 2,000 feet in diameter, it may be too deep for all of us to swim across." Hitch said.
"How do we all get across the water?" Streamer Smooth asked.
"Well, I think we should fly over the pond with our wings and magic." Izzy thought out loud.
"No, Izzy." Sunny said. "The unicorn foals aren't strong enough to lift themselves and the earth ponies. And, the pegasi can't fly while carrying a friend."
Luckily, Carver Crafty came with an idea.
"Everypony, I got an idea, there's lots of lumber and wood over there. We can all build rafts and boats, they will float in water to help us get across the pond."
We all agreed with that idea and started to get to work. Carver brought his tools for the trip, he used a saw to cut the logs in the right measurement. Disgusted Lex used her magic to line them up right. Then, Carver chopped the lumber into planks, and Joydan Gallop placed the planks on top of the logs. Finally, I used a drill to drill in the big screws, so that the planks won't get loose from the logs.
The rafts were all done. Now we could all float across the pond. We only made 5 rafts for 4 to 5 ponies. We pushed our rafts into the water and started rowing and paddling across. Soccer Score taught us how to row as we were having a little trouble.
"Everypony, let me show you how to paddle." said Soccer. " Have 2 paddles on both sides and row in the same beat."
We listened to Soccer's instructions and we were able to paddle correctly and swiftly. As we were rowing, we saw some ducks flying by and began to swim in the water. We also discover some frogs hopping on leaf pads. Then, we found some beautiful fish swimming underwater. The fish were jumping out to play, making us enjoying their show.
After paddling across the pond for 23 minutes, we made it to the other side. Now, our the next destination if the Grassy Hills. We got off the rafts and continued our on foot.
We've walked for 10 minutes from the big pond to the grassy hills. The hills were 500 feet tall, and there were like 36 hills to hike over. We began hiking the hills with our hiking sticks. It may take a while to hike.
"Everypony, these hills are kind of steep, so be careful to walk up and down." Hitch told all of us.
While we were all hiking up and down the hills, Pipp was doing another broadcast on her phone.
"Hello, everypony." Pipp said. "It's me again. We're now hiking the grassy hills. There's lots of hills to hike on, but we can do our best to get the other side. This trip here is so much fun than I imagined, all the destinations are full of perfect views. Maybe someday you can visit those places, too. I gotta go now, have a good day."
We were still hiking, when we saw some birds flying above us. They were on a migration to the forest. Finally, after 7 minutes of hiking, we all made it to the other side of the hills. Now, our next destination was the big view cliffs.
We found the big view cliffs about 2 miles away. As we made it, we started to stay close together, so we never fall off the cliffs or get hurt. The reason why it was called the big view cliffs, it's because whenever somepony is on the cliffs, you can get perfect big views from up high. And of course, there were caves on the edges of the cliffs.
While we were walking, the sun was starting to go down.
"Hey, everypony." I say. "Look at the beautiful sunset over the cliffs."
"Oh yeah, the view with the sun setting is amazing." said Daytime Darwin.
"I just love sunsets." Pipp said as she took a picture of the view with her phone. "I could just make up some songs with the sunset in the distance."
"Everypony, since it's sunset right now, it's getting dark. We need to find a place to set up camp." said Sunny.
Luckily, I spotted and pointed a cave to fit everypony. Once we all went inside, it really was big enough to fit like 50 ponies inside. It was the best camping spot I'd ever picked.
Now, we set up camp for the night. We set up 14 tents for like 4 to 5 ponies to fit in. We rolled out our own sleeping bags and fluffed our own pillows. We hang up our lanterns for when it's too dark inside the cave. We'd put on some bug spray on us for tonight, so no bugs would bite us. Some of the ponies brought lots of lumber for a campfire. Now, we're all ready for a campfire gather round. We began to have dinner, after setting up camp. We had sandwiches, fruit snacks, cookies, granola bars, and even the apples we picked earlier. And, we drank water, milk, and/or juice to drink.
"Having a camp is so much fun." said Astro Alex.
"Mmm-mmm-mmmm These apples are much more delicious than normal apples." said Fruity Tooty.
"My sandwich has peanut butter and banana. And, I have some grape juice." said Amber Lake.
"My sandwich is cheese and pepperoni." said Needle Stitch.
"My dinner is great, but maybe next time, I would go shopping for ingredients for some grilled cheese sandwiches." said Bronze Feather.
I was having my own dinner too, when I saw Ellagant Glare outside the cave, looking at stars. So, I went outside to check in on her.
"Hey, Ella." I say "Looking at stars?"
"Oh yes." Ella answered. "It's so beautiful out here, you can see all the stars in the sky without any city lights."
"Yeah, I'd never been able to see a perfect night sky outside of Zephyr Heights or Maretime Bay. In fact, I'd never been on an adventure before, or gone outside my hometown."
"Me either." Ella replied.
Then, I began to tell Ella more about myself.
"Ella, there's more I should've told about myself: I was born with a lot of gifts."
"Really? Like what kind of gifts?" Ella asked me.
"Well, I can interpret anypony's dreams whenever they need to know what they mean. I can also invent some helpful inventions in need of a pony in need. And, I have a super big brain. I can even be strong and fast. I can do almost everything for my whole life."
"Really?" Ella asked surprisingly.
"Yes." I answered. "And, everyone likes me doing all my gifts."
"That's cool. You know, I wish everypony would appreciate my magic powers someday."
"They will. You know I still like your unicorn powers. They amazed me a lot since you showed me."
"I know you still do." said Ella.
We both started to look at the night sky again, when Zipp Storm came by to see.
"Hey you two," Zipp called to us. "What are you doing out here?"
"We were just talking to each other and looking at the beautiful stars." I answered to Zipp.
"Well, come on back inside, we're about to have some s'mores for dessert."
"Really?" Ella asked. "Let's do s'more." she punned.
We went back inside the cave to join the others for s'mores.
We were enjoying our s'mores, we put marshmallows on our own sticks, and put them in the campfire to heat them up. Then, we placed our marshmallows on top a chocolate bar and add two small pieces of graham crackers either honey or cinnamon flavored. Now that our s'mores were ready, we started eating our dessert.
"Mmm-mmm-mmm. I love s'mores." said Frosty Flavor. "With marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers, it's so sweet."
"I know, right?" Izzy said.
Then, we started to sing some campfire songs. The first song was about making s'mores. After the song, we started talking about our feelings to Sunny and her friends.
"Well everypony, I hope you all enjoy your s'mores, but now we can talk about our feelings." said Sunny Starscout. "Amber Lake, you're first."
"Well, I wanted to be a shoe maker, when I grow up." Amber said. "Since my mother's shoe was a little damaged, I had to do something to help her. And then, I found and read a book of how to make shoes. And, I finally fixed my mom's shoe, and it she'd enjoyed my shoe making ability."
"For me, I liked to make juices and smoothies." said Tangerine Twist. "Since my dad showed me how to make some orange juice, I believed I could do a juice serving business to make our family's farm the best farm of oranges and tangerines."
"Really?" Fruity asked Tangerine. "I love to make juices and smoothies, too. In fact, I love to make all kinds of food that involves fruit."
"You mean you're a fruit lover?" Pipp asked her.
"Of course." Fruity answered.
"So, you like to make like strawberry shortcake?" Astro asked.
"Yes."
"Blueberry muffins?" asked Streamer.
"Absolutely. And, what I love to make is a fruit salad."
"My turn to share my feelings." Astro Alex replied. "My own interest is outer space. What I love about space is some comets. Comets are perfect when you were able to find them. I also like to find some new stars and discover some more planets."
"I love outer space, too." said Constellation. "Although, I actually like constellations in the night sky. Ursa Major is my favorite constellation."
"Cool." said Izzy Moonbow.
"You know what?" I got to show you some of my abilities." and Ellagant Glare.
Ella was now showing us her unicorn powers like she did yesterday when she and I met each other. First, she lifted a pillow then used her magic to turn it into a body pillow. Second, she used a super speed spell to clean up the mess in the cave super fast. Everypony was impressed with Ella's magic spells.
"Wow, Ella." said Sunny Starscout. "You are like Princess Twilight Sparkle, she had lots of unicorns powers since she attended the School of Gifted Unicorns in Canterlot."
"That's nice of you." Ella replied. "But, nopony in Bridlewood said I'm not a good unicorn since I showed them my powers."
"How could somepony ever say you're not good?" Izzy asked.
"Yeah, Ellagant." Pipp replied. "You're a great unicorn."
"All my unicorn classmates were telling me so." Ella answered. "I felt like I don't want to do it anymore."
"Ella, I said to you yesterday..." I was saying.
"I know, I still had to be myself." Ella interrupted.
"Alright everypony," Hitch said. "it's time for us to get some sleep for tomorrow."
We obeyed Hitch as we all picked up our trash and threw it in trash bags. Then, we all went inside our tents for some sleep. Ella and I were in the same tent with 3 friends sleeping with us. We both tucked ourselves into our sleeping bags and began to talk to each other again.
"Ella?" I asked. "Did you ever get the same feeling I've had when you got the most unique gifts you could get?"
"Yes." Ella answered. "And, that feeling was great."
"Great."
"I hope I can make a difference during this quest."
"Don't worry. Once we saved Equestria, everypony will love you and appreciate your spells. You'll be a hero, Ella."
Then, Ella fell asleep. I started holding her hoof just like other ponies did to cheer them up. I was feeling great having a new friend with me, when I drifted off to sleep for the next day to come.
Morning came as we all wake up, then we started to have breakfast. Now, the last thing we had to do, is to pack up camp and go. We rolled in our sleeping bags, disassembled our tents, and grabbed our backpack and bags.
"Another fine day for our quest." I say as inhaled and slowly exhaled. "Princess Twilight, I sure hope I can get my answers to my gifts."
"Alright everypony, we got everything packed up." said Sunny. "Now, let's keep on going on our trip."
Then, we all exited the cave and started to continue our journey. The Big View Cliffs were amazing, but now that we left them, our next destination if the Garden of Colored Blooms and Butterflies.
Finally, after walking for 6 minutes, we'd reach the Garden of Blooms and Butterflies. The garden was the most beautiful place to visit in all of Equestria, it had lots of butterflies with very lovely wings in different color, shapes, and sizes. And, lovely flowers that grown out of the ground, tall and short, and big and small. Whenever a caterpillar is ready to turn into a butterfly, it will find a perfect spot on a twig or a leaf to sleep for 7 to 10 days and spins itself a silky cocoon. Then, one day a butterfly is out to fly around on a beautiful sunny day.
We ponies began to trot in the garden to get to the other side to our next location. We all enjoy the flowers and butterflies around this meadow.
"Hey ponies!" Violet Rosey shouted to us. "Look at those flowers. They can change colors."
We all observed the flowers as they started to change colors like a chameleon. They could change into different colors bright and bold.
"Those are beautiful flowers in all colors of a rainbow." said Color Carol.
"Hey everypony," Rollette Skate called. "A butterfly is about to come out."
We all met Rollette to where she saw a cocoon about to open up. The cocoon opened up wide enough for the butterfly to come out. The butterfly's wings have all the beautiful colors of a rainbow as it was flying around. We all believe that the butterfly's flying with all the colors makes it the rarest butterfly ever. Then, we all began to sing our very own medley about having fun in the sunshine.
Meanwhile at the Castle of the Two Sisters, Cozy Glow was watching us through her own magical screen. She feared we were halfway there. So, she came with an idea of how to slow us down.
"Guards, the travelers are still approaching us." Cozy said. "Try creating a storm cloud over them, the drops will slow them down."
"Yes, my Empress." a minion replied.
Then, the lumber thugs started creating a storm cloud and sent it towards us.
Me, my friends, and the Mane 5 made it out of the Garden of Colored Blooms and Butterflies, and we had a wonderful time singing and playing around back there. Right now, we were at the Valley of Giant Drops.
"That was really fun everypony, the song back there was a lot more exciting." said Pipp. "Right now, we got to keep going to Cozy Glow."
The valley was only full of grass, and above us were lots of big dark clouds.
"I sure hope this place is amazing, too." I say.
"Don't worry." Sharpy Gem told me. "Everything will be okay."
"I wonder why this place is called the Valley of Giant Drops." Amber asked.
"We'll see." Soccer told Amber.
"Alright everypony, let's have a snack while we keep on walking." Zipp told everypony.
We all reached into our backpacks and pulled out our favorite snacks to eat.
As we were still walking through the valley and eating snacks, the storm cloud was approaching us without us noticing. I was next to Ella as I was eating.
"You know Ella, maybe we should just embrace your magic together." I told Ella. "It can make you all better soon enough."
Ella was about to eat her snack more, when a big drop of water fell out of the sky and hit her head.
"OW!" Ella exclaimed.
"Ooh. What was that?" I wondered when I saw what happened.
Then, another big water drop hit my head. As I felt that, I looked up, but couldn't see what it was.
"Hey, what... what was that?" I asked again.
Then suddenly, a few more raindrops appeared around everypony else. Cloudy saw the drops and just figured something.
"I think I know why this is called the Valley of Giant Drops." she said.
And then all of the sudden, lightning was flashing and thunder was crashing around the dark clouds; Equestria's most dangerous storm has started. I looked up and saw a lot more giant raindrops coming down towards us and the ground.
"Oh no." I say. "INCOMING!!!"
All the raindrops were bigger, they started to hurt our bodies, when they hit us. In fact, the rain began to make the whole valley flooded with water.
"Everypony, the storm's flooding the valley so fast, we need to get going, fast!" Sunny shouted.
Then, we all ran as fast as we could to get out of the storm.
We were still running in the rain, but then all of the sudden, the water's rising even more, we were forced to swim. And then, waves started to roll and push us around. Luckily, most of us packed some inflatable rafts for just such an occasion. They pulled the strings to inflate them, then we all climbed into the rafts and started paddling.
It was still raining and the valley was completely flooded. We were still paddling on rafts, but we were soaked with lots of water. Then suddenly, we were approaching a raging river and too close to avoid it, so we had no choice but to paddle down. The rapids were so rough, the water splashed all over us again. Luckily, we were able to row without falling overboard, and thanks for rafting lessons from Soccer Score, we made it to the end of the river.
The valley was still flooded, we still had to stay in our rafts until the water dries up. On the other side, the raindrops were getting smaller and smaller; the storm will be gone soon enough.
"Well everypony, that's some crazy weather we have today." Hitch said. "Luckily, we never drowned and the rain is shrinking down. But of course, the valley is still flooded, we's have to stay on these rafts until the water dries up."
While we were still floating above the water, I was wondering about the weather above us.
"You know, storms never had bigger raindrops." I say. "I believe this is what Cozy Glow was up to to stop us fro getting to her."
"I don't know, I' sure the weather was part of the valley." Cloudy told me. "After all, this is the Valley of Giant Drops."
"Cloudy, this storm never had giant drops before, literally." Sunny told her. "In fact, Special may be right, this weather may be Cozy's doing."
"She might just tried to stop us from going any further at any circumstances." Zipp said.
We all wondered the same thing, we'd better stay alert from anymore obstacles Cozy was gonna throw at us. After being rained on for 40 minutes, the storm stopped, the clouds parted, the sun came out, a rainbow revealed itself in the sky, and the flooded valley was all dried out. We got off our rafts, deflated them and placed them in our backpacks, and now, we could continue walking on hoof.
After the events at the Valley of Giant Drops, Sunny started telling me about our next destination.
"That storm was back at the side." I say.
"Yes." Sunny agreed. "But now, we should go to our next destination: the Forest of Fall."
"What's that?" I asked.
"The Forest of Fall is a forest that has events of the 3rd season, fall, everyday." Sunny told me.
"That's so cool." I say.
After a few minutes of walking, we all made it to the forest and it was beautiful. All the leaves in the trees were in all colors of fall; red, orange, yellow, brown. But, only a few of them fall down and new ones grew. The grass was greenish-brown colored. Apples and acorns were all over the ground. Pumpkins were ripe enough to become Jack-O-Lanterns for Nightmare Night or pumpkin pies for Harvest and Hugs Day. And, hedgehogs were rolling on piles of leaves, and squirrels were harvesting acorns. The Forest of Fall was another place to visit, it would be for like events that could happen in the fall.
"Wow, this is my kind of place." said Fruity Tooty. "I love autumn."
"True." Izzy Moonbow agreed. "The Forest of Fall is the only place to stay autumn. The trees loose some of their leaves and grow new ones. Some of the trees have acorns for all the squirrels, while, this is the best part, other trees grow some delicious candy apples."
"Candy apples?!?" Frosty Flavor asked excitingly." Can you show us where one of the trees is?"
Then, Izzy lead us to a tree that grows candy apples. The apples were covered in caramel sap the tree leaks out. It is sap, but it never makes anypony sick, it still tastes like caramel. Carver Crafty brought popsicle sticks with him for any occasion, for holding the apples because everypony always know to hold candy apples with popsicle sticks at all times, while they eat them. The pegasi foals flew up to the apples and made them fall down to the unicorn foals, who caught the apples with their magic. Then, the unicorns pushed the apples onto the popsicle sticks. Now, we can all enjoy the snacks of autumn.
"These are the best candy apples I'd ever tasted." I said as I took a bite.
After we ate the candy apple, Izzy gave us more information about the Forest of Fall.
"There's another fun part about the Forest of Fall. Follow me." Izzy told us.
We followed Izzy to another fun part of the forest. She lead us to a very cool entertainment, the slides of leaves. The slides were literally covered with leaves.
"Wow, those slides rule." said Fearful Moe.
"The only way to get to the other side of the forest is to ride on the leaf slides, nothing harmful going on there." Izzy told us.
"Now that's my kind of fun in the fall." said Joydan Gallop.
"Come on everypony, let's go!" I called everypony.
We jumped and began to slide down the leaf slides. The slides were very long, but none of us don't mind at all. There were lots of entertaining things along the way, we went up high and down low, did zigzags, and curves, jumped over gaps, and approached the big drops. It took 5 minutes, but we made it to the end of the slides and the forest.
"Wow, that was so awesome." said Horseshoe Henry. "Let's do it again."
"Sorry, we got to keep on going. We got a pony to stop." said Sunny Starscout.
We got rid of the leaves off our bodies and manes, and continued on our journey.
After we left the Forest of Fall, Sunny told me about our next destination.
"So we left Maretime Bay, walked across a prairie, rowed across the Big Pond, hiked on the Grassy Hills, camped at the Big View Cliffs, sang a song at the Garden of Colored Blooms and Butterflies, got wet at the Valley of Big Drops, and enjoyed the Forest of Fall." I remembered. "So, what's next?"
"Well, now we're going to the Winter Mountains." Sunny answered. "The mountains are all high up to the clouds and all covered in ice and snow."
"That does sound cold." I say. "Luckily, I brought my winter clothes, even for Winter Wish Day."
"Great." said Sunny.
After a few minutes, we made it to the mountains. It was a little hard to get up there, but at least, we all brought our climbing tools for mountains. We took out our winter clothes and put them on. Then, we took out our mountain climbing gear for climbing the mountain.
"Okay everypony," said Hitch Trailblazer. "Mountain climbing may take like an hour, but we can all get to do our best to get to the other side of the mountains. So, let's go up."
We only had 8 ropes for us to climb up, so we had to take turns. From climber to climber, we were climbing up to the top, it was 1,500 feet high. Then finally, after 45 minutes, we regrouped after the climbing. Now, we can continue on hoof to get to the other side of the mountains.
We were all wearing snowshoes on our hooves, that way it's easy for us to walk on the snow without going deeper. The Winter Mountains were beautiful; all the snow was soft and sparkly, the snow animals were playing around, and it was full of snow clouds almost all the time.
We were hiking up to the top of the mountain. Some of us were playing in the snow by making snow angels and snowponies, and rolling on the snow. It was so much fun in the snow, but we still need to keep on hiking. Until finally, when we'd reach the top we found a big lodge cabin. The cabin was big enough for us to stay in, so we ran towards it to stay in for the night. As we walked inside, it was amazing for a winter house for Winter Wish Day.
The lodge up in the Winter Mountains was a blast. It had lots of tables to have customers, a cafe with great food and drinks, old paintings hanging or the wall, wood carved sculptures, and a great fireplace.
We need to rest for the night, we sat down at the tables, while a few of us sat by the fire since they got cold. Then all of the sudden, somepony popped out from another room, it was a unicorn stallion named Andri Douglas. His fur was grayish blue, his mane was gray, yellow, and white streaks, and his cutie mark was a ranger badge.
"Greetings everypony." Andri said. "Welcome to the winter lodge. I'm pleased to have some visitors here, why don't you all stay for tonight? It's getting dark outside now."
Andri was right, the sun was going down, we all decided to stay and sleep at the lodge for tonight. Andri took us to the hotel rooms, where we would be sleeping. We got our coats off, put our bags and cases in closets, got into our beds, turned off the lights, and drifted to sleep.
The next morning, we packed up our bags and cases, then we all met at the cafe, where were gonna have breakfast, before we leave on our quest. For breakfast, we had pancakes, omelettes, cereal, milk, orange juice, and hot chocolate. The lodge was amazing to visit at the Winter Mountains, most ponies would want to take a vacation there.
After we had our breakfast, I asked Andri a few questions.
"Andri, we had to get to the other side of the mountains." I say. "Is there a fast way there?"
"Oh yes." Andri answered. "Just find the sled rental shop, get some sleds, and sled down the mountains to get to the other side at the bottom."
I obeyed, told everypony else the directions. Then, we thanked Andri and left the lodge. The sled rental shop wasn't far from the lodge. We walked towards there and started renting some sleds. We bought a sled for 3 ponies each, put on our helmets for safety, then we all approached a slope that leads to the other side of the mountain. We all got on our sleds, then we all started sledding. The slope we were sledding on had lots of obstacles along the way. First: we avoided the evergreen trees. Second: we were bouncing on snow bumps. Third: we entered the icy tunnels, going in spin cycles, which made some of us dizzy. And last: we were now sledding on a steep slope, going down really fast. We were approaching an off ramp, we went too fast, we launched up and off the sleds. We feared we could get hurt, but luckily, there was a big snow bank, we landed on it without any harm.
"Thank goodness for snow." said Cloudy Carla. "Let's do that again."
"We should do this everyday." said Izzy Moonbow.
"You roll your dice, you loose your mice. Nopony gets hurt." said Disgusted Lex.
"Guys," Daytime Darwin cried. "I can't feel my legs! I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS!!"
"Daytime, those are my legs." Hitch said when he popped out of the snow.
"Here, let me help you out." Zipp Storm said when she lifted Daytime out.
"Wow, just like a pillow." said Needle Stitch.
"I should visit the Winter Mountains more often." said Rollette Skate.
"Alright everypony, it sure was fun, but we got to keep walking." said Sunny Starscout.
And, we all got off the snow bank, and continued on our quest.
Meanwhile at the Castle of the Two Sisters, Cozy Glow was still watching us from her magic projector. She was angry that we were almost there to fight her.
"Guards!" Cozy shouted. " Our enemies are still coming. Since that storm didn't stop them, I got something that might help. Go capture Sunny Starscout and her friends and bring them here. We'll be ready in no time."
"What about the foals?" one of the guards asked Cozy.
"No need to worry about the foals." Cozy answered. "They won't ever come near without grown ups."
Then, her thugs left the castle go find the Mane 5. Cozy looked at the projector again.
"You little ponies won't be celebrating more. I'll be pooping on your party soon enough." Cozy said before she let out her evil laugh.
We left the Winter Mountain and took off our winter clothes since we were now in a warmer area.
"This is more I like it, warm breezes and soft grass." said Horseshoe Henry.
"Yeah." Bubble Burst agreed.
"Alright everypony, now our next stop is the Caves of Crystals."
"CRYSTALS?!? I LOVE CRYSTALS!!!" Sharpy Gem shouted excitingly.
"Me too." Izzy replied. "I can't believe we have so much in common."
Then, we all continued our walk. I did had a good time on this quest, but I was still thinking about how I got my gifts.
After 20 minutes of walking from the Winter Mountains, we'd finally reach the Caves of Crystals. The cave entrance was big enough to fit even a big dinosaur.
"This must be it, the Caves of Crystals." I figured.
"I can't wait to see the crystals in there." Sharpy said excitingly.
Then, we all entered the cave. We had to be careful in the cave because there may be loose rocks that could hit our heads, and that reminded me about the storm from yesterday. Luckily, we all brought our helmets for such an occasion. It was a little dark in the cave, so we used our flashlights to see better. We didn't see any crystals yet, but then, Sharpy bumped into one.
"Hey everypony, look. I found a big red ruby." she shouted to us.
It really was a ruby sticking out of the cave floor. When Sharpy was touching it, something amazing happened, there were more crystals glowing around the rest of the caves. Now, we were able to see in the cave.
We were walking through the cave to get to the other end. The Cave of Crystals was another beautiful place to visit Equestria. It was filled with crystals and gems like rubies, sapphires, emeralds, amethysts, garnets, jades, and many more. It may be the perfect place for mining.
"You know everything, some of the crystals are really amazing, we should pick them." Izzy said to us.
"Okay then." Pipp replied to Izzy.
"Luckily, I got lots of baskets with me." Fruity said as she took out her baskets.
Then, we all began to pick some crystals, big and small. When we touched them, they began to glow a little brighter. Then, we put them into our baskets. Sharpy was picking a lot of crystals since she adored crystals.
"Isn't this fun, everypony?" Pipp asked us.
"Some of these will really be perfect for my new works of art." Izzy said as she put some small crystals on her mane.
"I really love the light and colors, this going to be the best trip ever." Color Carol said happily.
Just as we were still picking crystals, Fearful Moe was struggling to get one.
"Fearful?" Rollette Skate asked. "Are you having any trouble?"
"This tricky turquoise crystal won't come loose." Fearful answered as he was still struggling.
Then, Fearful finally got the crystal loose, but he was tripping over and fell onto Rollette.
"We're okay." Rollette said to everypony.
After we got our baskets full of crystals, we kept on walking.
We were still walking through the caves, it may take a while.
"How long is this gonna take?" Carver Crafty asked.
"We just have to keep spelunking until we reach the other side." Hitch said.
And then all of the sudden, we discovered bigger crystals. Unlike the crystals, there were some frozen prehistoric creatures inside them. They were all in order from the very beginning of the age of Earth: Triassic, Jurassic, Cretaceous, Cenozoic, Paleolithic, Mesolithic, and Neolithic. There were dinosaurs, mammoths, and caveponies. The crystals also contained a big UFO from outer space, we began to wonder how it got here.
Then, we approached the crystal slides.
"Hey look, everypony. This crystal looks like a slide." I say.
"A crystal slide?" Awesome." Izzy hopped happily.
"I bet this is the fastest way to the end of the caves." Zipp figured.
"Then, let's slide!" I told everypony.
We all began to slide down, and it was scary and fun at the same time. There were a number of naturally formed crystal slides, though along the way, some of them were peppered with sharp crystals that formed upside-down and upward along with a number of natural drops and pits that led to more slides. We were sliding pretty fast, we did some loop-de-loops on the cave walls, bouncing up and down, took different tunnels at forks, fly off ramps to a different slide, and avoid the sharp crystals so we didn't get cuts. Until finally, I found light, we'd reach the end of the caves. But, we couldn't stop that the crystal slides were slippery, we zoomed through the cave exit, and started falling. Although, me and the other pegasi were able to fly, the others fell on the ground, but luckily, no one got hurt.
"Ah man, I'm feeling dizzy." said Disgusted Lex.
"And for my next trick, let's do that again!" Izzy shouted.
"Not a good idea, Izzy. I'm just having enough of sliding for today." said Fearful Moe.
"Thank goodness, we're back to the surface." said Astro Alex.
"Yeah baby!" Zipp shouted. "Who's up for round 2?"
"Not now, Zipp. We need to keep going." Pipp told her sister.
Then, we all got up and continue our journey, again.
"Well, we made it through the Crystal Caves, and it was amazing." Sunny said. "But now, let's get to the Cloudy Fields."
"The Cloudy Fields?" Cloudy asked. "Is that in the skies?"
"Of course." Sunny answered. "It's not far from here and there are some hot air balloons over there that they can get us up there."
Sunny was right, there was like 20 hot air balloons up ahead. Once we'd reach the balloons, we climbed aboard and we flew up toward the Cloudy Fields. We landed on the clouds, got off the balloons, and then we began to walk on the clouds, all thanks Ellagant Glare's magic spell to let all unicorns and earth ponies to walk on clouds since they may fall through.
The Cloudy Fields was another one of those best places to visit in Equestria. The clouds were very soft like pillows, we wanted to have a real cloud pillow. Not only the clouds are soft , they were also bouncy we love to bounce all day. While we were bouncing and floating on clouds, I discovered something on the clouds.
"Hey everypony, I found something." I say.
What I pointed at is some ball like objects.
"I think I found some cloud balls."
While we were passing the cloud balls, they began to move around the clouds and bouncing up and down.
"Hey, the cloud balls are moving." Bronze Feather replied.
"You're right, they're not only moving, some of them are different colors." Color Carol said.
"Wait a minute." I say.
I looked closely, and I can see that the cloud balls have tails, ears, legs, wings, and faces.
"These aren't cloud balls. They're..... dogs!"
And I was right, the Cloudy Fields are populated with Pomeranian dogs with wings. Pomeranian dogs are the cutest dogs ever, and also the softest as well Zipp and Pipp's mother had a Pomeranian of her own in Zephyr Heights.
"A big cloudy fields of dogs?" Cloudy asked.
"A whole field of dogs." said Hitch.
"I love dogs, mom has one Pomeranian with her." said Pipp.
"They are so cute." said Izzy.
All the dogs are incredibly cute, some of us were very distracted by holding, hugging, and playing with them. But, we knew we had to keep going, so some of us helped the rest of us to stay focused.
While we were still walking on the clouds, I discovered something way down to the ground. It was an abandoned old village with cottages, a windmill, an apple farm, and a castle. It was Princess Twilight Sparkle's old town; Ponyville.
Over 1,100 years ago, Twilight's mentor, Princess Celestia, sent her there to learn about the Magic of Friendship. From lesson after lesson, Twilight made 5 best friends in Ponyville: a unicorn named Rarity, 2 pegasi named Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, and 2 earth ponies named Applejack and Pinkie Pie. Throughout her journeys, Twilight had accomplished a lot of quests throughout Equestria and beyond. She and her friends had redeemed Princess Luna, Discord, Sunset Shimmer, Starlight Glimmer, Stygian, Tempest Shadow(Fizzlepop Berrytwist), and Chancellor Neighsay, and defeated Chrysalis, Sombra, Tirek, the Sirens, the Storm King, and Cozy Glow.
The one best thing Twilight had accomplished was that she had finished one of Starswirl the Bearded's spells, and she became an alicorn and the Princess of Friendship. Her castle was made after she and her friends unlocked a chest from the Tree of Harmony. Together, even at the School of Friendship, they discovered and taught everypony and every creature around Equestria and beyond the Magic of Friendship. They had to keep the world balanced with life making peace all around. And when Princesses Celestia and Luna retired, Twilight and her friends were now rulers of Equestria and they attended the Council of Friendship once every full moon. And, it was amazing of how Twilight made the world a better place.
"Hey everypony, I found Ponyville down there." I say as I pointed down at the village.
They were all really happy that we'd found Ponyville because that's near the Everfree Forest, where Cozy Glow was hiding.
"Great job, Special." Sunny said to me.
"Well, how are we gonna got down there?" Ellagant Glare asked.
As we were trying to think, Bubble Burst had found a bunch of clouds looking like a staircase, leading to the ground.
"Hey everypony, let's use those clouds to climb down." Bubble said.
Then, we began to climb down the clouds one by one, step by step, one at a time. It was a long way down, but after 3 minutes, we all made it to solid ground. And now, we can look around Ponyville. For Sunny, she was excited to see Ponyville, her father told her everything about it when she was a little filly.
We finally made it to Ponyville. Sunny started giving us some instructions throughout town.
"Alright everypony," Sunny said. "we made it to Ponyville. This place may be a little unstable, so we all had to stay close together. Now, let's go look around.
Then, we all began to look around the old village.
It's been a long, long time ago, a family of earth ponies were finding a new home. A teenage filly named Granny Smith made a living by "collecting new seeds and selling the old." When they came to Canterlot, Princess Celestia granted the Apple Family land near the Everfree Forest, where they planted their first orchard. But, the orchard didn't grow overnight, the family's running low on food. One night, Granny Smith ventured into the Everfree Forest by herself to look for good food. She discovered a really incredible apple tree that grew rainbow-colored apples. When she returned home with her bag full of apples, she and her father planted the first zap apple seeds. Drawn in by the jam made from the unique fruit, other ponies started coming to the land, such as Stinkin' Rich, who started a small market that sold zap apple jam. And before we knew it, we had ourselves a nice little town, bustling with all kinds of ponies. And, that is how Ponyville was founded.
Now, let's get to me and the other heroes. We were seeing lots of buildings around town. The houses were timber-framed with distinct thatched roofs and overhanging upper floors. There was a town hall at the center of town square. There was a schoolhouse for foals; exterior shots of it shows a bell on the roof, a flag in the front yard, and a sign on the lawn decipting on an open book and the sihouettes of two rearing fillies. There was also a hospital, a train station, a clock tower, a theater, a marketplace, a spa, and many more.
We found a great shop called Sugarcube Corner. It was a bakery operated by Pinkie Pie. It reassembled a gingerbread house. Next was a Carousel Boutique; it was where Rarity designed and crafted dresses for her costumers. Rarity does most of designing in the main workroom.
And last of all, we discovered Princess Twilight Sparkle's old Castle of Friendship. As Sunny remembered from her dad, the castle was created from a mysterious chest from the Tree of Harmony. Next to the castle was the School of Friendship. It was a private vocational school founded by Twilight as a way to educate different ponies and creatures from Equestria and beyond about the Magic of Friendship.
"Wow, that is some castle." I say.
"Come on, everypony." Sunny said. "We're be staying here for tonight."
Sunny was right, the sun was going down again, ending the day. So, we all went inside to relax. But, what we didn't know, is that Cozy Glow's thugs were following us, being ready to capture Sunny and her friends.
The day ended as the sun went down. It was dark, but luckily, the castle has some lights that are still able to work. We took out our sleeping bags and rolled them out for the night. Then, Color Carol just thought of something as we entered the library.
"Hey everypony," Color said. "I just thought of something. Since this quest is almost over, maybe we can make some paintings of our trip."
"That's a great idea." Izzy said. "I got lots of art supplies with me for everypony."
"Me too." Color replied.
Color and Izzy took out their art supplies: paints, brushes, paper, and easels. Now that we were all ready, we began to paint our own pictures.
We were all painting pictures of our times around trip. We been to 10 places to get to Ponyville, some of us painted some of favorite times at those places. And of course, a few of us were painting our favorite friend who came with us.
But for me, I painted a picture of of Ellagant Glare because she was my favorite friend. I thought of everything of her: her beautiful mane, and her magic from her horn. I just hoped she could embrace her magic. Next, I was painting all 10 locations we've been to, in boxes. First, I painted black lines to make boxes. Next, I painted a different location I've been to in a different box. I painted the locations in order of which I've been to from first to last. I used almost every color to make the picture look right. Ant then finally, I've finished my masterpiece. I washed my hooves to clean the paint off. Then, I began to show everypony my painting. Everypony was amazed, when they looked. My masterpiece was all the places I've been to: the prairie, the Big Pond, the Grassy Hills, the Big View Cliffs, the Gardens of Colored Blooms and Butterflies, the Valley of Big Drops, the Forest of Fall, the Winter Mountains, the Caves of Crystals, and the Cloudy Fields. The picture was a symbol of how beautiful the land of Equestria turns out to be.
"Wow Special, you're picture is amazing." said Sunny.
"I love your art." Izzy replied.
Then, Ellagant Glare her two paintings to us all. Her first picture was the Big View Cliffs since she loved camping there. And, her second picture was her favorite friend, me.
"Ella you made a picture of me?" I asked.
"Yes." Ella answered. "Because you're not only my friend, you're also my inspiration."
"Aww, thank you."
"How come your picture has all the places we've been to?"
"Because the places we've been to are perfect discoveries in Equestria.
After we all painted our pictures, we placed them in our backpacks. But, I placed my picture behind my wing instead.
"Alright everypony, picture painting was fun, but now it's time to get some sleep. We got a big day tomorrow." said Sunny.
Then, we all started to get ready for bed.
"Sunny, I'm so nervous of tomorrow." Pipp said to Sunny.
"Don't worry." Sunny told Pipp. "We got our problems solved for years. Now, we can stop Cozy Glow with the help from a bunch of foals."
"Yeah." Zipp agreed. "Those foals may be little, but they can do big things after all."
Sunny and her friends were about to go to bed, but then, they heard a sound coming from the castle doors. As Hitch was getting a closer look, something, or somepony popped out and snatched Hitch into a sack. It was Cozy's thug she sent to capture the Mane 5. Then, more bad guys came out and captured the rest of the adults in sacks. I heard the racket while I was going to join the other foals. As I checked it out, I saw the thugs. They were taking our friends away. I overheard them talking, while they were getting away.
"We did it, boys." said thug #1. "Cozy's gonna be happy about this."
"With these ponies secured, we'll be unstoppable to make Equestria friendless." said thug #2.
After I examine the situation. I ran back to the foals to tell them the bad news.
"Everypony, I have bad news!" I panicked. "A bunch of thugs had captured Sunny and her friends!"
And, everypony gasped in horror by the news.
"That's not good at all." said Disgusted Lex.
"CAPTURED?!?" Fearful Moe panicked. "WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!! WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!!!!"
"Special, are those thugs working for Cozy?" Cloudy Carla asked me.
"Yes." I answered. "They're now heading to the Castle of the Two Sisters."
"But, that means Cozy will get her plan all ready to make Equestria divided again." said Soccer Score.
"Everypony calm down." Daytime Darwin told us. "We just need to make a plan to save our friends."
"No." I say.
Everypony heard me and got confused of what I just said.
"We can't make a plan because we're not prepared at all."
"Special, what has gone into you?" Streamer Smooth asked me.
"Everpony, I know you appreciate my gifts, but one thing you didn't know, I was struggling with why I was born with them."
Everypony was listening to me, and they could hardly believe their ears.
"I kept on thinking why this happened to me everyday. It's like I'm growing up too fast. I couldn't stop doing this force of adulting and advancing myself."
After I expressed my feelings to the foals, they began thinking. Then, Needle Stitch stepped up to me.
"Special, we understand." said Needle. "But, we like you no matter how different you are."
"And Special, you helped me to embrace my magic throughout the trip. I'm happy to have you as my great friend." Ella said when she put her hoof on my shoulder.
"Gee, thanks." I said sadly. "But right now, I need some time to think and get some fresh air."
Then I left behind my friends and exited the castle.
I was walking through the old streets of Ponyville, feeling guilty about myself. Since I was a little younger back in Zephyr Heights, I was inventing a helpful invention that everypony was enjoying it. My parents didn't mind, but I felt like I was growing up so fast, which I am. I didn't get an answer why I was born with the gifts, I felt like I was clueless for now. Right now, I feel downhearted and discouraged by myself. Throughout the entire trip, I was hoping for an answer, but nothing happened. For now on, I was afraid I let Equestria down, that Cozy Glow is going to win. And now, my new problem is: I didn't feel special anymore.
I lowered myself to the ground, feeling guilty for not being a special pony. Then suddenly, I noticed something, the ground was lit up with pink light. When I looked up, I saw the same magenta colored star from a few nights ago. I backed up a bit as it was approaching me. After it landed in the ground, it was Princess Twilight Sparkle, coming the see me again.
"Princess Twilight?" I asked.
"Hello, Special." said Twilight. "You came a long way from Maretime Bay."
"Yes, but Twilight, Sunny and her friends were taken. And now, me and my friends were stuck on how to rescue them."
"I know." Twilight replied. "Special, is there something bothering you?"
"Well, you told me why I was born with all these gifts, but as I came here to Ponyville, I got no answer."
Then, I expressed more of my feelings about my gifts.
"In fact, I feel too discouraged that I couldn't be like the other foals. I don't feel special."
With a pain in her heart, Twilight leaned down to me.
"Special, I did tell you you can see why you have your gifts, and I never lie to you." said Twilight.
"True, a princess never lies." I say.
Then, Twilight laid down just like any mother would do, and told me more.
"One thing you need to know about me, when I was depressed, my friends were always there for me. My mentor Princess Celestia wanted me to learn about friendship and protect Equestria from anypony whose trying to make anypony mistrust each other. After I made the crystals to keep magic happening from mistrust, Sunny and her friends had to make sure nopony had to stay separate from each other. My job was to make sure harmony stays alive. And, Sunny was doing a very great job, I've been more proud of her. But, she knew she and her friends couldn't do it forever. That's why I choose you and the other foals to stop Cozy."
"We're gonna take Sunny's place to protect Equestria?" I asked.
"Not just Equestria, the whole world." Twilight answered.
"Well, I would be very cool being a hero." I say. "But, can I have my answer please?"
Then, Twilight and I stood back up. She took me to a stone platform. She told me to stand on it and I obeyed. Once I stood still on the platform, something magical happened: the platform was unleashing swirls around me.
"Now Special, there is somepony who can give you all your answers." Twilight said to me.
After I got Twilight's last words, I was lifted into the air without flapping my wings. I was being teleported to the sky.
After I was teleported from Ponyville, I was sent to a place that's in space. It was guarded by a wall with a big gate. I landed on a cloud, believing the city was the place I should be to see who I should meet. But, there was no one outside the gate, waiting for me, so I decided to wait and look at the stars
While I was looking at the stars in space, I thought of lots things. I thought of my parents I missed since I left Maretime Bay. I thought of the time I met Ellagant Glare during school. I thought of the time I met Princess Twilight Sparkle. I thought of the time me and my friends had started our very first quest, and my very long walk. I thought it so loudly, I heard my thoughts talk.
"Hello, Special." said a voice. "We were expecting you."
"That voice." I remarked. "It doesn't sound much like mine."
Then, I turned and met somepony approaching me. It was an earth pony stallion wearing a white robe, carrying a harp with him, and had a golden halo floating above his head.
"Are you an angel?" I asked the stranger.
"Yes I am, kid." said the angel. "Welcome to the kingdom of Heaven."
The kingdom of Heaven is where those of us who call ourselves Christians will spend a very long time. It's where most ponies believe they are going to end up when their life is over.
"Come on kid, let's get you to meet the Great I Am."
I obeyed him and followed him to the gates. The gates opened, and the angel and I entered Heaven.
The angel was leading me through the streets of Heaven, I was amazed to see how it looks. Angels were watching the kingdom. It was home to ponies who had finished living a good long life from Earth. I could see some spirit ponies, who lived in lives in the past years, and it was great.
Finally, I'd arrive to the one I should meet. I was in awe to see who it was. It was God, the Great I Am, the Lord Almighty, the true idol, the Creator, our one true God.
"Hello, Special Hoof." God said. "I'm so very pleased that you're visiting me."
"God?" I asked.
"I'm gonna help you become a special pony."
"Help me? How can I be special again, when I have gifts that made me growing up so fast?"
"Let's just show you something first." God said.
An angel appeared from behind God's throne, carrying an easel with a sheet underneath. Another served me with a piece of bread and grape juice, as I was waiting. Once the angel was in place, she set the easel in front of me.
"Alright, little pony." said the angel. "It's time that you learn what you really look like."
Then, she pulled out the sheet to reveal a picture. And, the picture I saw warmed me right to my hooves. It was me in the picture. I looked grown up and strong, my wings were sturdy and long, I was wearing a hero's armor like I was going to the rescue, and a look in my eye both courageous and free. I was surprised to see what the future me would be like, I had lots of questions about the portrait.
"The picture we made is what we see what you'll be." said God.
"You're saying that's me?" I asked. "I liked to believe it, but I'm afraid to."
"But, I know who you are." God said. "Because I made you."
Then, God started telling me the story of how special he made me and everypony else.
"Special, I made you special, I made everypony special, I made the world special. Allow me to tell you how."
Now, the story began an extremely long time ago.
"It's at the very beginning, in the first days of the creation, I made everything on earth. On the first day, I made the heaven and the earth. The earth wasn't form, but in void and darkness was upon the face of the deep. I moved upon the face of the waters . Then, I made light from the darkness, and called the light Day, and the darkness Night. On the second day, I made the firmament, and divided it from the waters, which were under it. Then, I called the firmament Heaven. Of course, the firmament is the sky. I also made the clouds to be part of the sky. On the third day, I brought dry land to appear out of the waters, and called it Land, or Earth. And I called the waters, Seas. Then, I planted grass, and herb yielding seed, and fruit trees, and other vegetation on Earth. On the fourth day, I made the sun to light the Earth to begin the day, and the moon to glow the Earth to begin the night. And, I made the stars to be part of the night. Last up, I made the seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. On the fifth day, I made the birds to fly in the sky, and fish to swim in the seas. On the sixth day, I made the beast of the earth, cattle, and everything that creepeth upon the earth after my kind. Then, I created stallion and mare in my own image. Then on the seventh day, after I finished everything, I blessed and rested on that day. The whole Earth perfect the way I created it. Then many, many, many, many years later, I made also ponies in three types: earth ponies, pegasi, and unicorns. But for alicorns, they were born sometimes. But, other alicorns were made whenever a pony did a good deed. And, I made more creatures around the world: griffons, changelings, kirin, breezies, dragons, yaks, zebras, deer, kelpies, abadas, seaponies, hippogriffs, and many more. All thanks to Twilight Sparkle and her friends, they made all of the world come in peace."
Then, after God told me about the creation, he told about how special I am.
"Most importantly Special, all the creatures on Earth were made to be special the way they are. I made you in your mother's womb with all your gifts. I gave you your abilities to be strong, fast, and smart like the other adults. I made you to be a great and intelligent pony, so everypony will learn how to make Earth a better place. I gave you the gifts to interpret dreams, and your wings. I choose them for you, they're your special things. I gave all the ponies their own gifts to be perfect the way they are, even though they don't love the way they are. Most of the ponies just made up stories to make them feel badly. The reason why I made you is because not only I want you to make Earth a better place, but also to let everyone know about me and my word."
I pounder the words been told, then of something, grew suddenly bold.
"But God, if made this incredible world, can't you make ponies obey your command?"
God beamed bright then said:
"A gift's that commandment is no gift at all."
After I learned the history of how the world was made, I thought of the ponies I'd been to on my quest. All the life at those places were signs to say that God exists. He watched how he made the world, helping animals live in the wild, making blossoms bloom, and keeping everything balanced. And, I figured God made me to help ponies to live a perfect life in his word. With my gifts, I could be a special pony, since he gave me a heart just like his.
"Well God," I say. "I do believe you're right, I am a special pony."
Then, I reached into under my wing and pulled out the picture I made minutes ago. All the places were amazing the way God made them. All the beauty and life were special,
"And since you made the life on Earth special and perfect, I made this picture with some inspirations of the places I've been to. You may have it."
When God took a look at it, he smiled and said:
"That's for my fridge."
And after he hung up my picture, he took the one of me all grown up from the easel, gave it to me and said:
"Here's what you look like, here's how I see you. Keep this with you, and it will find it will free you from all of the pictures, all of the stories, and all of the lies ponies made up just to cut down your size. And lastly, your wings; you know what they were for. But not just to fly, I want you to soar. And, one more thing."
God handed me a book, which is actually a Bible.
"Your very own Bible. I has all 66 books inside, with all the lessons, all the rules, and all the stories of my times during and after the creation. You must read it, and you'll be ready for helping ponies to give up their evil ways and violence.
I placed my Bible under my wing, then said:
"Okay God, I'll do it."
And God felt pride about me.
"Alright Special," God said. "Now, I have a job for you. It requires your gifts, and help from your friends. Go to the Castle of the Two Sisters, stop Cozy Glow, and save Sunny, her friends, and the world."
"But, how can me and my friends stop her with our gifts?" I asked.
"Don't worry. Soon the Unity Crystals will come to you and give you all your special powers only if you accept yourselves the way you are."
Then suddenly, God used his power to send me back down from Heaven to Earth to let me do my job.
I made it back to Ponyville, I ran back to Twilight's old castle to begin the job God gave me and rally the others. I met the foals at the library.
"I'm back everypony." I say.
"Special, you're back." Ellagant Glare shouted. "Are you feeling okay?"
"I'm all better now." I answered. "In fact, I'm feeling like myself again."
"You know we like you for being you." said Horseshoe Henry.
"Everypony, Twilight Sparkle talked to me again. She took me to Heaven, and I met God, the Lord Almighty."
"You were at Heaven?" Fearful Moe asked surprisingly.
"Yes. And God helped me feel better and told me how special he made me, all of you, and the whole world. He made everything like the sky, the seas, the land, the sun and moon, the animals, and us. When we know he made us special, we can still be ourselves because he loves us the way we are."
"It's true." said Ellagant Glare. "God wants us to stay who we are, so we can be just like him."
"And, he wants everypony in Equestria to learn and obey his rules, and how live a good long life his way."
"So, God gave you that soft covered book?" Color Carol asked me.
"This is actually a Bible. It contains all the stories, lessons, and verses we all need to know about from God."
"Nice." said Fruity Tooty. "Anyway, are we back to making a plan of how to save the grown ups from Cozy?"
"That just it, God gave us a job to rescue our friends, foil Cozy's scheme, and save Equestria."
"Okay, let's get ready everypony." said Daytime Darwin.
We all became confident and filled with pride and faith, we believed we could do God's job. So, we began to grab some useful supplies we could use for the rescue and the rest of the quest.
Back at the Crystal Brighthouse in Maretime Bay, the 3 Unity Crystals were starting to glow. The door opened, and the crystals started flying towards us, just as God has promised.
Meanwhile at the Castle of the Two Sisters, Sunny and her friends were in chains, so they wouldn't escape. Izzy had a chain with magic on her horn, so she wouldn't use her magic on harm. And, Zipp and Pipp's wings were affected by a magic source, so they wouldn't fly.
"Well, well, well... If it isn't the 5 heroes from Maretime Bay." Cozy Glow said. "All shackled up and no place to go."
"Cozy, you may have us in chains, nut we have company coming soon." said Hitch Trailblazer.
"That's what you want to think." said Cozy. "My plan and army is complete at last. Now, that I got all of you, no one can stop me now."
Then, Cozy let out her evil laugh as lightning and thunder effects appeared. Although there was no storm tonight, she was just doing it like acting.
Before she could order her army for marching, she needed to get all-powerful. One of her thugs brought her the Bewitching Bell and activated it. The magic from the bell made Cozy an all-powered alicorn with a long horn, and bigger wings. She had been unbeatable years ago, she might be unbeatable again against Equestria. Now, that Cozy's ready, she could start her invasion.
For me and my friends, we were gearing up for the rescue and fight. Streamer Smooth, Horseshoe Henry, Sharpy Gem, Carver Crafty, Needle Stitch, and Color Carol were designing and making weapons, and crafting some outfits for all of us to wear in the fight. Finally, after 20 minutes, we were all suited up.
"Wow everypony, you all look like a big group of warriors." I say.
"Yeah, I can't believe I'm really gonna be a hero." Cloudy Carla said excitingly.
"Oh yeah, baby!" said Astro Alex. "I can be a shooting star!"
"Alright everypony." said Carver Crafty. "All of our weapons are complete."
I looked into the mirror and my warrior outfit was the same one I was wearing in God's portrait. I remembered he told me that the Unity Crystals will come and give us special powers soon, all we had to do is wait and see.
"Everypony, God also told me the Unity Crystals will come and give us our own powers. But, he didn't say when, so we should wait until they're here." I told everypony.
"Special powers?" Ellagant Glare asked. "That's so amazing."
"Okay everypony, this is our finest hour. This is our moment to shine, and make our minute to save Equestria. We all know God made us to be who we are, and gave us this quest as a test. We can do our part hoof to heart. For Twilight Sparkle. ARE YOU READY?!?"
Everypony cheered as the answer of saying "yes." Then, we all left Twilight's castle and discovered a big glow in the distance in the Everfree Forest. We believe we should follow the light to find Cozy Glow.
"Alright everypony, let's ride like the wind!" I shouted.
Then, we started galloping to the Castle of the Two Sisters to complete our quest.
We were running through the abandoned streets of Ponyville, entered the Everfree Forest, and luckily, we brought lights with to see in the dark. It was taking a while, but we were able to get pass the scary trees, across the river, and then we finally found the ancient castle.
"We found the castle." said Constellation.
"It's like 1,100 years old." said Sharpy Gem.
"Come on everypony, let's cross this bridge and go inside." I say.
We were walking on the old bridge to get to the other side.
Chapter 13: The Birth of the Great Defenders of Friendship
Cozy Glow had Sunny and her friends locked on cages, she was going lower them into a pit of lava to burn them for good.
"Alright my friends, it is time to see your doom, before I start my invasion." Cozy said. "I can't believe it's going great, I'm finally ready to make my Equestria."
Sunny, Izzy, Hitch, Pipp, and Zipp were worried they would be goners, until their cages stopped. The contraption hanging cages was now jammed. As a thug was trying to fix it, a booming sound came from the castle doors. As Cozy saw the door about to be opened, she flew to the front of it to see what is was. And then, the door bursts opened, and it was me and my friends trying to enter the castle. Once me and my friends were ready for a fight, Cozy was surprised to see us.
"Oh good, company." said Cozy. "So you must be the one Twilight Sparkle send to here." she said pointing at me. "Who are the rest?"
"We ma'am are Equestria's newborn heroes of God: the Great Defenders of Friendship." I answered.
That is how I named our group.
"Oh yeah? And, are you here to play around the castle?" Cozy asked.
"No! We have come to rescue our friends and get rid of you. We know everything about: you were trying to steal all the magic around the world, tempting everyone to mistrust each other, and getting rid of Twilight and her friends. We know you're trying to do all of it again, and we can't let you. We will definitely defeat you today."
"That's right." said Needle Stitch. "Because there's 24 of us and only one of you."
But, Needle was wrong, Cozy made her army.
"How is this now?" Cozy asked.
Me and my friends feared we wouldn't be able to beat the army, but then all of the sudden, the Unity Crystals had finally arrived, just as God had promised.
"Now it's ready." I say.
The crystals separate, but the magic in Equestria is still active since everypony was still getting along, and they twirl around in circles; they were about to give us our special powers. They charged up, and then their magic beam connects to us. Then, after a few seconds, we are finally all-powerful.
"Alright Cozy, LET'S GET STARTED!!!" I shouted. "CHARGE!!!!!"
And so, the battle began as we, the Great Defenders of Friendship, Cozy' army were charging towards each other to fight.
Me and my friends were able it use our powers to defeat the baddies. Allow me to tell you what our powers are. My power was alicorn magic on my hooves, I can do the same spells as Twilight had. But, I had zap at the baddies.
Amber Lake's power is that she can make discs to throw at something and/or someone, and some whips to whip her enemies. As she was using her whip, she can also give her enemies to spin faster to their defeat.
Joydan Gallop's power is that make things explode into glitter. He can turn his enemies' weapons into glitter, making the baddies running away.
Disgusted Lex's power is some Chinese powers. She could summon her magic dragon to attack her enemies. And, she's an Chinese unicorn, she had the Kung-Fu moves to fight her enemies.
Tangerine Twist's power is to grow trees. Earth ponies do have their magic to grow plants, but Tangerine had to grow trees to attack his enemies.
Fruity Tooty's power is to grow vines. She could use her vines to capture her enemies.
Cloudy Carla's power is for her to make different weather clouds. Right now, she could use a thunder cloud to fry her enemies with lightning.
Fearful Moe's power is a mega bounce. He can bounce off any surface to avoid approaches and push his enemies.
Horseshoe Henry's power is he can make any type of horseshoe's for any way to beat the enemy.
Constellation's power is to make helpful things she made when she draws out of her own constellations. She made a big deeper (a giant fry pan) to hit her enemies.
Daytime Darwin's powers are he can glow bright, and shoot lasers out of his eyes to zap his enemies. He represent the power of the sun.
Sharpy Gem's power is she make anything out of her jewels and gems. She created with her magic. She made swords for herself and her friends to fight the baddies.
Ellagant Glare's magic is more powerful than ever, she can now challenge the baddies to a magic duel.
Carver Crafty's power is he can control wood. He could use his magic to make anything out of wood. This time, he made a wooden mallet to smash his enemies.
Needle Stitch's power is he can unleash some thread out of his wings. He's using his thread to tie up his enemies.
Frosty Flavor's power is she can make some frostings with different kinds of color and powers to stop her enemies.
Streamer Smooth's power is for her to make some streamers in different lengths and sizes. She was using them to whip and tie up her enemies.
Bubble Burst's power is for him to make mighty bubbles to trap and catch anything and anyone. He was using his bubbles to trap his enemies.
Violet Rosey's power is to grow flowers and plants. This time, she was using her plants to eat up her enemies.
Bronze Feather's power is for to make some sharp feathers. He's using his feather as a sword to flight the baddies.
Color Carol's power is for her to change color and camouflage like a chameleon. She would turn invisible to fight her enemies without being seen.
Rollette Skate's power is she would go super fast. She could zoom towards her enemies to knock them down.
Soccer Score's power is a super kick. He could kick his enemies super far.
And Astro Alex's power is for him to make icy comets and fire meteorites. He could freeze his enemies with comets, and burn them with meteorites.
Me and my friends were learning how to use our powers fast and perfectly. We didn't get hurt or beaten, we could dodge any of their attacks, and punch the right punches. Once some of us got stuck in a fight, we teamed up to get rid of the baddies fast. We even use our own weapons we made before we got the powers, to challenge the baddies so easily. We were all great warriors, we could beat anyone in our way.
While me and my friends were still battling the army of thugs, the cages holding Sunny and her friends were functioning again, they were gonna be boiled in the lava soon. I saw the whole thing, and I hired a few of my friends to save them.
"Cloudy Carla, Carver Crafty, and Violet Rosey, our friends are trapped in cages and they're gonna be burned in the lava. I need you three to save them fast."
"Yes sir!" they shouted.
Then, they were off to rescue the Mane 5. Cloudy, Carver, and Violet had reached the chains and were trying to figure out how to free their friends. Carver found a lever, he pulled it, and the cages were being pulled up and out of the lava pit. Then, Violet let their friends free.
"Well done, kids." said Sunny Starscout. "I knew you would come."
"You guys have powers?!?" Izzy exclaimed.
"That is so amazing." said Pipp
"We're happy you're okay." said Carver.
"It's because you saved us right on time." said Zipp.
"Let's just go to work, foals." Hitch ordered everypony.
Then, the fight continues. There were still more thugs attacking us, but with the help of the Mane 5, we could still win this. Sunny Starscout unleashed her alicorn magic she had when the Unity Crystals were activated. She was flying above the battle to zap the bad guys with her magic. Izzy Moonbow was zapping her enemies too with her own magic. Hitch Trailblazer started kicking his enemies and started spear fights. Pipp Petals was punching her enemies along side Zipp Storm.
Cozy was now running out of thugs. She got so mad, she began to push everypony out of her way.
"You may all have freed your friends and got rid of my soldiers, but I can still beat you up." Cozy said. "And, I have to say, your all very dumb for having your own gifts and all-so powers."
We were all hearing Cozy's words, and some of us were feeling low that she may be right. But, not me.
"Before you all came here, you had bad times with ponies making fun of you. And of course, they were correct, you all really are silly ponies, none of you are great at all."
I heard all of Cozy's words, but I knew she was wrong. God told me he made me and my friends very special the way we are. I helped Ellagant Glare to advance her inspiration, and she got happy again. I knew the only way to stop Cozy is to prove her wrong.
"You're wrong, Cozy." I say. "We are special. The Lord Almighty made us to be who we are even when somepony was trying to discourage us. It never matters what we look like or what we do, we are all special the way we are. Even Princess Twilight believe we can make a difference."
Then, elsewhere at the Castle of the Two Sisters, at the Tree of Harmony, the Elements of Harmony began to glow and form a magic rainbow beam. And then, it began to zoom towards the battle.
"For now on, we have the Elements of Harmony within us. Friendship may not be easy, but there's no doubt it's worth fighting for. We each have unique gifts that made us who we really are. We have to accept everypony the way God loves them. I appreciate these foals to be with me."
And then, before I do the rest of my speech, the magic rainbow levitated me and the other foals.
"I almost lost my way, but they have reminded me of the true power of friendship. There will always be darkness in the world, but there will also always be light for us to find. When God made the world special, he made us special too. He never makes mistakes or tells lies, he's always rightful and true. His word said that he loves the way he made us. The power of God and the Elements of Harmony along with the Unity Crystals showed us how strong we can be to live forever to bring peace and harmony around the world. Our friendship was stronger together, we can work to bring justice. But there will always be more to do. We can teach others about the Magic of Friendship and the Power of God. Others who will continue our mission after we are gone. Now I truly understand, the Elements and Crystals were just symbols. The magic and power have always been right here! And, the more who understand how powerful friendship and faith is, the stronger, faster, better, and more powerful we will all be! Together forever!"
After I finished my speech, the Magic of Friendship and the Power of God were both unleashed. The rainbow was swirling around us, making our manes in different streak colors. We glow and the rainbow-colored double helix envelopes Cozy Glow, then destroying the Bewitching Bell. And the battlefield is flooded with light. When the light fades, we were knocked out a little then woke up.
"Is everypony okay?" Horseshoe Henry asked us.
"Everypony, my mane has different colors." Disgusted Lex said when she looked into her mirror.
"Oh yeah, our manes look amazing." said Color Carol.
"And look, we're all wearing some pretty necklaces around our necks." Sharpy Gem responded.
And she was right, we were actually wearing geodes around our necks. Each of them had different colors and our cutie marks on them. For me, I didn't know it yet. But then, Ellagant Glare noticed something else magical happened.
"Special!" she shouted to me.
"What is it?" I asked Ella.
"You finally got your cutie mark."
When I turned to my flank, Ella was right, I finally earned my cutie mark. It was a shield with many different colors and a cross on it.
"This is so cool." I say.
"Everypony, we finally did it." said Sunny Starscout. "We started from Maretime Bay, and made it here to the Castle of the Two Sisters. And now, we won the battle of the Defenders."
"We sure did our best, and God is smiling down on us." I say.
"I don't have bars on my phone right now, but you all look amazing with your new mane styles and geodes." said Pipp Petals.
"Gee, I thought we would still be screwballs. But, we really do represent the Elements of Friendship." said Joydan Gallop.
As we were still celebrating our victory, the sun rises, and the magenta star is coming towards us, saying Twilight was coming to see us.
"Princess Twilight Sparkle!" I say after she landed on the ground.
"Special Hoof, my faithful foal. I knew you could do it." Twilight said as we were hugging.
"So when you send me and my friends on this quest, it's just the beginning of a new generation." I say.
"Of course, Sunny and her friends are still protecting Equestria, but we knew they couldn't keep doing it more."
"We need to raise up some young guardians to take our place someday." said Sunny Starscout.
"So, you Twilight choose us for being your new warriors." I figured.
"And, after you defeated Cozy Glow, you and your friends are the Great Defenders of Friendship, and I couldn't be more proud of all."
I felt grateful for Twilight's appreciation, and my friends were happy to be heroes too.
"I saw the signs of Cozy's return. And, I knew you, Special Hoof, had the power and magic in you to defeat her. But you couldn't unleash it until you learn God's lesson in being yourself and have friends appreciate you for who you are."
Then, Twilight turned to Cozy Glow, who was turned back into a pegasus after her defeat.
"Cozy Glow," Twilight said. "It has been years since you have been like this. It's time to put the past behind us. I want you to have a better life in Equestria, and so does God. We all need to stay balanced. Will you accept our friendship?
After thinking it over, Cozy accepted.
"I'm so sorry." Cozy said in tears. "I missed you so much, princess."
Everything had turned out find and perfect. We had a fun and delightful journey. We visited lots of places, made it all the way from Maretime Bay to Ponyville, and redeemed a pony in pain. I feel proud to be myself again and inspired by God that he knew I could do great since he made me.
Chapter 15: Medals of Friendship, Faith, and Righteousness
The Unity Crystals made it back to the Crystal Brighthouse, and then they lit the skies with auroras. Our very first friendship quest was finally over, but my story wasn't over yet. After several days, we all made it back home to Maretime Day. Even Princess Twilight Sparkle and Cozy Glow came long with us. And, our families were overjoyed to see home. Princess Twilight was planning an award ceremony for me and my friends since we saved Equestria.
The next day was the ceremony. Everypony at Maretime Bay came around. Most of the earth ponies were there, even some unicorns from Bridlewood and some pegasi from Zephyr Heights attended. And, Twilight was going to give us the awards after the intro.
"Welcome everypony," Twilight said as she started the ceremony. "We are gathered here today to celebrate some new heroes who saved us from an ancient evildoer. Their leader had lead them to their very true paths to who they really are. He deserves perfect gifts to help us all in need. Our heroes had learn and give us an important lesson: our God, the Lord Almighty, the Great I Am, had made the whole world by hand. Since he create our planet so special, he also made us special, too. We just need to accept others the way they are, no matter how different. God loves us for who we are, even we don't love the way we are. We just have to be our true selves, no matter what everyone else thinks, and that will lead us down the path of faith."
Everypony was listening to Twilight's speech, and they were really learning the lesson well. The heroes' families were happy and joyful for us, even some were shedding tears.
"Mares, gentlestallions, and foals of all ages, may I present our new heroes, the Great Defenders of Friendship!"
Then, everypony clapped and cheered as we came out. Me and my friends were walking on a red carpet to meet Twilight and the Mane 5 on stage. Once we got onto the stage, the Mane 5 started giving us our awards. One by one, we received a medal of each of us. But for me, I received a bigger medal. After we got our awards, we all began to have pictures from the audience.
After the ceremony was over, we began to celebrate a little more. Some of the defenders were talking with their families, while the Mane 5 were talking with Twilight Sparkle about us. For Ellagant Glare, she was enjoying her day before some unicorn foals approached her. They were the ones who were making fun of her during her toddler days in Bridlewood. What would they do to Ellagant now?
"Ellagant," said unicorn foal #1. "We just wanna come see you and say we're very sorry for picking on you. We could've been appreciative about your talented magic skills, we didn't see how important it was for Equestria. Can you ever forgive us ?"
For me, I was talking with my parents. They were proud of me for being my true self and saving the day.
"Oh Special, my baby, I'm so proud of you." my mom said as she was hugging me and shedding tears.
"We're so happy you can embrace the magic inside of you." my dad said.
"Thank you mom and dad." I say.
"Now go on and party with your friends." my dad told me.
As I was enjoying the celebration, I bumped into Ellagant Glare.
"Ellagant." I say.
"Special." she responded. "How are you?"
"I'm going great." I answered. "And you?"
"I'm going great too, the unicorns from Bridlewood are finally appreciating my unicorn spells at last."
"Really?!" I asked.
"Really, really. And, I want to thank you for everything, Special. You had encouraged me to be myself since God made me special. And now, I feel inspired again."
Ellagant was about to hug me. I was backing up until I bumped into a cactus. The prickles hurt my hind legs, I jumped in pain. But then, I accidentally kissed Ella in the lips. I felt embarrassed of what happened, but Ella didn't mind as she closed her eyes and showed her rosy cheeks.
"I'm so sorry Ella. I didn't mean to do that." I replied to Ella.
"I actually don't mind. You're still my favorite pony of the quest." Ella said.
Then, we both giggled for our actual first kiss. I do love Ella, but she and I had to wait until we were 19 years old, so we would date, marry, and maybe have a family of our own. Ella didn't know I love her, but deep down, she loved me too, which I didn't know either.
Me and the other defenders had our very first quest ever to protect Equestria, we had accomplished it. We knew our homeland could be in more trouble soon. We'll get to that later.
The defenders were having lots of fun at the ceremony. Cloudy Carla was playing a white flying Pomeranian dog, whose name was Cloudpuff. Cloudpuff was definitely having fun with Cloudy, he showed her his owner, Queen Haven. Queen Haven's the ruler of Zephyr Heights and the mother of Zipp Storm and Pipp Petals. She was talking with a tall gray unicorn stallion named Alphabittle Blossomforth, who's the owner of the Crystal Tea Room in Bridlewood.
"Oh, I see you made a new friend." Queen Haven said when she saw her pet playing with Cloudy.
"Good evening, sir." Fearful Moe said to Alphabittle.
"Hi there, buddy." said Alphabittle.
Disgusted Lex and Horseshoe Henry were doing some sketching of Hitch Trailblazer and his dragon child, Sparky Sparkaroni.
"Thanks for teaching me how to sketch a picture, Horseshoe." said Disgusted Lex. "I got to do this more often."
"And you thought it was digusting." said Horseshoe Henry.
Tangerine Twist was using his earth pony magic to grow some fruit trees with an earth pony named Posey Bloom. And Fruity Tooty was growing grape vines on the trees.
"Now this is what I call a perfect orchard for our markets." said Posey. "And you can grow plants, too?" she asked Fruity.
"Well, I only grow vines." Fruity answered.
Amber Lake was getting her own hooficure from an earth pony named Jazz Hooves. Her hooficure was magenta colored with green and purple polka dots.
"I love this hooficure, thank you." said Amber.
"Great choice, kid." Jazz replied.
"Can I get my own, too?" Color Carol asked when she approaches her.
Then, Jazz gave Color her very own design, which was all the colors of a rainbow in stripes.
"Now, this is so me. Thank you." said Color.
Astro Alex and Constellation were observing the night filled with lights.
"Aren't the stars beautiful?" Constellation asked.
"They sure are." Astro answered.
Carver Crafty was showing his wood carvings to everypony.
"Wow, that carving of a seesaw is so amazing." said a unicorn named Jasper.
Bubble Burst was showing everypony his brilliant bubble blowing skills by making bubble art.
"Oh boy, I really wanted to make those kinds of bubbles." said a unicorn colt.
And, Sharpy Gem was using her new powers to create some jewelry for everypony. She gave Pipp Petals a pretty necklace with pink crystals, and Queen Haven a lovely bracelet with blue gems.
"Now this is my kind of style. Thank you, Sharpy." Pipp said.
"Wow, you really are one hoof of a crystal." said Queen Haven.
"Thank you for your honest opinion." said Sharpy.
For Cozy Glow, she enjoyed her time, talking with new friends. Since she was now in modern Equestria, she had to learn a lot of new things. An earth pony named Sprout Cloverleaf started talking to her.
"So Special," Twilight said. "there's a lot more quests you and your friends may take, I may need you all in a home you can all share."
"A home we can all share together?" I asked.
I was doing some thinking, and then I finally got some perfect thoughts.
"You know what? I think we can have our very headquarters where we can sleep, play, have meals and other stuff."
"Now that's some idea you could have." said Twilight.
"Well, I got myself a lot of questions." said Ellagant Glare. "How come I didn't a have advanced magic before?"
"Yeah, why do we all have out own powers, and why are the permanent?" asked Joydan Gallop.
"I understand we're the ones worthy of being heroes, but why not send grown ups? asked Rollette Skate.
After I heard all the questions, I knew the answer to give.
"Well, at least I know one thing for sure." I say.
"What's that?!?" Cloudy asked.
"With God's help, no matter what lies ahead, we will face it together."
They all agreed with me, then Twilight gave us her last word before she leaves.
"Well, everypony just remember, keep Equestria in peace, teach them the ways of God, and have fun."
Then, she opened her big wings and flew away into the horizon.
It was an amazing trip we had. At first, most of us were downhearted when everyone said we're not perfect. But when Princess Twilight came to us for a quest with Sunny, Izzy, Hitch, Pipp, and Zipp, we had the courage to enjoy our gifts. The places we've been to on the quest were amazing the way they looked with the weather, the plants, and the critters. When I first met God, my life had a purpose to bring harmony around the world. Me and my friends will always be ready for any problem from anypony. But most importantly, the lesson is: God made the whole world special with his own hands. He made the world during the creation. God loves us for who we are, he gave us some gifts to help others. Everyone may be picking on us, but we can remember God's love. God may not be finished with us yet, but he's always been giving us a heart just like his. That's why he's been making us, molding, and shaping us, so we can be just like him. And, when you know God made you special, you'll be just like him too.
