Contrary to what most may think Celestia does do things to protect Equestria without Twilight Sparkle.
For example one day a secret cult attempting to bring back an evil know as Rizuzu Adahella Hivous Mureus.
Celestia had learned of their plans but before she could stop them the ritual was completely and now the ancient evil has been revived...

At least she was cute.
Twilight Sparkle
When Celestia had asked if she could come to me to ask a favor I accepted without a thought.
Going over the possible things it could have been in my head I was prepared for many kinds of things, but not this.
Sleeping wrapped up with blankets in a basket before me was a foal who was supposed to be one of the greatest evils Equestria had ever faced.
Rizuzu Adahella Hivous Mureus the pitch black alicorn with slit eyes and bat wings.
Though Luna had decided to rename her Night Shade.
Sure I had prepared my castle to take care of Flurry Heart for a prolonged period of time if needed but to care for such a foal long term?
I asked Celestia could not care for her with Luna?
According to Celestia their responsibilities meant that they were unable to give her the time and attention she needs.
Well I guess that was a good enough reason.
I asked Spike to inform the others of this new arrangement while I took little Night Shade to the nursery playroom I had originally set up for Flurry Heart.
This is going to a long day.
When I put her down in the playroom I nudged her awake so that she will tire herself before it was time for bed.
I was worried that she wouldn't react well to being in an unfamiliar place but fortunately she was just curious.
After sniffing me from the basket she looking around and sniffing the room.
When she walked up to the stuffed animals she stopped to inspect them.
It was so cute maybe she will pick out her own Whammy.
She stopped at a small rabbit calling it Bubby.
Aww it was so cute she named it Bubby...
And then she grabbed it and bit it's head off.
She shook it around before moving on to tear apart the others.
As I got a closer look at her muzzle I noticed that she had not any a pair of fangs but a full set of sharp looking teeth.
Well hopefully this will not be a sign of things to come.
She saw the a stack of wooden blocks stacked next to what was once a pile of stuffed animals that was now a soggy pile of cotton.
She was about to put one of the blocks in her mouth but I took it using my magic.
And then the next one too, before taking all of them.
Maybe she was just hungry?
Ya that must have been it.
I teleported us both to the kitchen with a high chair and put her in as she giggled.
Looking into the cupboard I saw what flavors of foal food I had.
Peaches, squash, pumpkin, spinach, and sweet potato.
She was bound to like at least one of them.
Since I was worried that she may actually try to eat any spoon I use to feed her I decided to levitate it into her mouth.
She seemed to like all of them but made a mess of her face and me.
I mean seriously how did I even get some between them?
As I cleaned up the spilled foal food when I heard the sound of wood snapping.
When I turned back to Night Shade who had ripped the tray off of the high chair and was making her way to the fridge.
It was at this point that I remembered that I had forgotten to give her a bottle of milk.
I quickly levitated and gave her raspberries while I prepared her bottle.
Once she was happily sucking away on her bottle I teleported us both to the bathroom to prepare it for both of us.
While I focused on stopping her from splashing water out of the tub she ended up tearing apart my rubber ducky.
I levitated Spikes' own rubber ducky before she could get to it too.
Lucky Night Shade was not upset about it, but she started to reach for other things.
When we finished our bath I put her down in the playroom and prevented her from destroying to much.
Tiring us both out when Spike suddenly returned.
Apparently Pinkie Pie had set up something so that we would all switch everyday so I could have time to set up a nursery that could survive her.
The one who would come pick her out tomorrow would be Pinkie Pie.
That was great.
I put her to sleep in her crib and for the night and went to sleep.
The next day I woke up early and made my way to the nursery only to see a hole in the bars of the crib.
While have a panic attack I searched the whole castle until I found her.
Well since she is only a foal I guess that I shouldn't hold it against her, but I should probably feed her before Pinkie Pie arrived.
As she finished up her bottle Pinkie Pie entered and started to comment on how cute she was, tickling her nose with her mane.
This caused Night Shade to sneeze, firing a beam of magic at a potted plant turning it into some kind of slimy flesh tentacle thing which wrapped themselves around me.
I screamed as it pulled me towards it as one of the tentacles latched onto my horn preventing me from casting spells.
Pinkie Pie
As I left for Suger Cube Corner with the little one I heard Twilight playing the screaming for help game.
Night Shade giggled as she was giving me a mane cut with her teeth as I bounced back to Sugar Cube Corner.
When I entered she seemed to be overwhelmed with the smell of all the baked goods.
I set her down in the playroom with Pumpkin and Pound knowing that she was in good claws with Gummy watching them all got to work.
When it was time for lunch I came out to find Gummy frozen in carbonite.
Pound and Pumpkin were still here and pointed at a hole in the ground.
Jumping into the hole I found a maze filled with all kinds of baked treats that I had stored beneath the ground in my party cave.
As I chased her Misses Cake was feeding the twins choosing not to ask about what was happening.
Night Shade had cleared five levels before I managed to catch her.
After we emerged from the hole I used her to cut Gummy out of the carbonite.
I let Gummy recover and kept Night Shade with me the rest of the day trying to keep her from eating our cooking utensils.
Mr. Cake was just happy that she didn't eat the walls.
I was sure that I could watch an alicorn filly for a day.
I mean what was the worst that could happen.
The filly sneezed a beam of magic that shot out of the window towards Twilight's castle.
Twilight Sparkle
While on my way to the kitchen with the replacement plant when suddenly a beam of magic hit it and it transformed into a tentacle creature like before.
Rainbow Dash
I looked away form her for a second and now there was a hole in the cloud floor.
Oh buck did she fall to the ground!?
I dove into the hole and dug to the bottom of my cloud home looking all over the ground below.
She wasn't there?
I noticed a piece of my houses shadow separate from the rest and I gulped.
Didn't Pinkie mentioned something about her eating a maze into the ground.
Then one of my many trophies fell to the ground.
I managed to catch it before it was destroyed but more and more continued to fall and I had to drop the ones I was holding when the fridge nearly fell on me.
Right now I needed to stop her from eating my house.
I quickly flew around my house and pushed the parts that were floating away back together and began my search for the little trouble maker.
Luckily I had left Tank with Fluttershy before I got her.
As I continued my search I heard more of my things crashing to the ground below me.
Maybe I could convince Fluttershy to have Discord fix all of it?
Eventually my entire kitchen counter fell down below revealing Night Shade to me.
She was eating my house!
When I pulled her out of the wall she giggled while smiling at me.
Well I guess I should push the rest of my house together again.
I flew around at high speed putting the last of my house together I realized that I should have put her down somewhere.
I held her out in front of me.
She just giggled happily, and I sighed in relief.
And then she projectile barfed into my mouth.

I need an adult.
Fluttershy
I was more than happy to take her in early when I heard what happened to Rainbow Dashs' house.
But after Rainbow left to scavenge whatever survived the fall I found that Night Shade was an absolute darling.
Since I didn't have any particular arrangements for today I decided to go to Sweet Apple Acres and pick up the little one on my own.
When I arrived though I noticed that there was some kind of commotion.
As it turns out Applejack had left her alone last night to sleep.
When the Apple Family had woken up though they found that Night Shade had eaten all the pies they had prepared and even some of the apples they had picked yesterday.
No to mention a few family heirlooms.
That was not a mistake I was planning to make.
Applejack tried to offer me a a stroller that she had made but luckily I had brought my own.
I mean really the stroller she had absolutely no sense of style.
As I made my way back home the little filly I heard her giggling at something and realized that there was a slight tearing sound.
Ohh no she was tearing out the laces.
When I got in front to see the damage I saw her tangled in them.
When I tried to untangle her from them her horn started to glow causing the laces to fly off into the bushes before I heard a short scream.
Twilight Sparkle
I had gone into town in order to buy a few things that I would need for the nursery to be enchanted against Night Shade.
And to be honest I just wanted to be outside my castle when whatever happens today happens.
I thought I was in the clear when a bunch of laces shot out of the bushes and tied me to a tree.
Rarity
When made my way into the Carousel Boutique I took her out of the stroller to prevent further damage and see if I could get it fixed.
Lucky the damage was minimal.
Then I heard a tearing sound and giggling.
She was biting into one of my dresses.
This is the worst possible thing.
I brought out my fainting couch and was about to black out when I was brought out of it by the sound of more tearing.
Now was not the time to pass out.
Luckily it was only one dress.
Looking down at her I couldn't help help but think she would be a perfect model for a new dress.
Later...
As it turns out it is impossible to have a foal stay in place like that for a prolonged period of time.
Why did I have to agree to this.
Wait a minute...
Rainbow Dash pawned her off on Fluttershy, so why can't I?
When I brought her to Fluttershys' cottage Fluttershy asked if she ate my house too.
Luckily she was just as understanding about my situation as she was with Rainbow Dashs'.
Much to my confusion Fluttershy was the one who brought Night Shade.
Strange considering that it was supposed to be Rarity caring for her yesterday.
Thankfully Fluttershy volunteered to help me with checking if my enchantments will be able to prevent her from destroying the nursery.
And fortunately she was not causing any problems so I told her that it okay for to go home now while giving Night Shade a pacifier.
As I looked back to Fluttershy who began to point behind me.
I looked back at my charge and saw her chewing the pacifier apart.
I teleported it out of her mouth and sighed.
Fluttershy questioned why whenever she caused trouble was always biting into stuff?
Wait a moment?
Could that be it?
A familiar voice echoed throughout my castle.
Emerging from the ceiling came a familiar face.
Discord had apparently stopped by after noticing that Fluttershy was not home came looking for her.
He hummed while inspecting Night Shade who looked at her with curiosity.
Discord then snapped and a odd looking teething ring.
When Night Shade started to happily chew on it Discord mentioned that he had not only made it durable but change flavor and texture so it won't bore her.
I had not considered the idea that she was teething do to her having teeth.
With a solution found for Night Shade's teething Celestia and Luna were willing to bring her back to Canterlot so that she was not a burden to my friends or I.
I also learned that Celestia had tried this with Shining and Cadence before us.
