Expert Turbo-Duelist Sunset Shimmer, is about to enroll in the Canterlot Duelist Academy, meeting a lot of old and new faces as she progresses. Time for Sunset to bring her A-Game.

Sunset Shimmer is the new student in the illustrious Canterlot Duelist Academy, where all duelists in training come to test their skills in order to become master duelists in the future. Some people duel for fame, some duel just to show people their better than them. Sunset, however, only duels for fun and entertainment. Using her Arch-Fiend Deck and the new friends Sunset will make, Sunset will do her best to hopefully pass all of her dueling courses and become a dueling master.
However, dark forces roam through the world of Duel Monsters, spreading hate and fear, and it may bring about a duel between friends to save the entire world from eternal darkness.
(This story takes place in the ARC-V Universe, so all the duel disks in this story are the ones used in ARC-V).
Prologue: Rage of Resonator's: The Dueling Adventure begins, Ready, Set, Duel!
(This first part is a flashback). On the planet Earth, a new sensation had been rising throughout the ages, the age of Duel-Monsters. A Card Game that piqued in popularity as more people played. And many new dueling techniques were created. This instance of a new dueling technique has been all the rage in Neo Domino City, the Home of Turbo-Dueling.
"Welcome to the Everton street Fortune Cup Tournament," The Announcer proclaimed. "And now we shall announce the two duelists that will entertain us today."
"First up, it's Canterlot's Red Rocket, Sunset Shimmer, "The Announcer said as Sunset zoomed out from a shaded room into the Turbo-Dueling track.
"Alright all you turbo-dueling fans out there," Sunset said. "It's time that we kick this duel into overdrive!"
"And her opponent, our former champion who vows to reclaim his title, Sombra," The Announcer said as Sombra appeared.
"Listen up brat, you made me suffer for that humiliating duel last time when you took my title from me," Sombra roared. "Now I'm going to make you suffer just as much."
"The only thing you'll be doing is eating my dust, Sombra," Sunset retorted.
"Alright duelists, start your engines," The Announcer said as both Sunset and Sombra activated the Speed-World Field Spell, now the only spells they could use were speed-spells.
"Now, ready...set...DUEL," The Announcer said as both duel-runners took off.
"I'll start this turbo-duel by summoning the Tuner monster, Red Resonator," Sunset said as she summoned her monster.
Red-Resonator: Level-2, Fiend Type Tuner Monster ATK: 600, DEF: 200
"Oh and since I have normal Summoned a Resonator monster, I can special summon this monster from my hand without tributing, but it's attack points are halved," Sunset stated. "So say hello to Red Warg in defense mode."
Red Warg: Level-6 Fiend Type Monster. ATK: 1400/2=700, DEF: 2200
"And now I'll tune up Red Resonator to Red Warg to summon a beast of unstoppable power," Sunset stated.
"Oh no," Sombra wailed in fright.
"Oh yes Sombra, behold as I synchro summon my ace in the whole, the unstoppable, the supreme, the monster that's going to take you down, Hot Red-Dragon Archfiend,"Sunset stated as her dragon let out a mighty roar."
"Now once during each of my main-phases I can destroy all of my opponents monsters that are in Attack mode, so say goodbye to your Skull Flame," Sunset said as Sombra's ace monster was destroyed.
"NO, I WAS SUPPOSED TO WIN, THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING," Sombra wailed.
"Now Hot-Red Dragon Archfiend attack Sombra's life-points directly and end this turbo-duel, GO INFERNAL POWER FORCE," Sunset ordered as her Dragon engulfed Sombra in infernal flames.
Sunset Shimmer was looking through her Resonator Archfiend deck as the boat that was supposed to take her to Duelist academy arrived.
"Ahh, Finally, it's here," Sunset said with excitement as she hopped in.
To tell the truth, Sunset was kinda a little nervous about her first day in Duelist Academy, since duelists from around the world would also be joining in for the fun.
"Oh, if only Mama and Papa could see me now," Sunset said as she started to blush a little.
Sunset had always been a big fangirl of Duel Monsters ever since she was a little kid, but she had never gotten the time to get a deck since she was busy with chores, schoolwork, and most of all, spending time with her mother and father.
Her father was known around town as a duel monsters champion, as he was the victor of over 5 tournaments. Her father always told her that Duel Monsters will never be easy peasy lemon squeeze but as long as you play your cards correctly and never give up your hope for victory, you will always succeed in battle.
That was clear when Sunset went to get her first deck at the card shop, even though there was a deck there that had a lot of powerful fusion monsters, Sunset preferred to have Synchro Monsters since they were easier for her to master. Her deck was a combination of Structure Deck: Jack Atlas and Red Dragon Resonator. She got this kind of deck since she was a huge fan of Jack Atlas. She also knew to put her Red Dragon Archfiend themed duel runner along with all the others in the Cruise-Ships Runner Parking lot.
After parking her Duel Runner, she looked at her cards to predict what the outcome of her day would be like.
"Alright here goes," Sunset said as she pulled out a random card. "Hmm, Barrier Resonator, looks like I'll spend the day without any physical injury."
"Hey dweeb," A voice said revealing it to be Trixie Lulamoon.
"You're Duel Runner looks pretty...Too Pretty," Trixie said as she took out a sharp piece of metal.
"NO, YOU'LL SCRATCH THE PAINT," Sunset screamed as Trixie left a small gash on the Duel Runner.
Now Sunset was feeling a surge of anger flow through her, and Trixie's laughter was making Sunset angrier.
"Ohh...you just made a Big Mistake," Sunset snarled as she got her duel disk out. "You scratch my paint, I scratch yours!"
"Oh, are you challenging me to a duel, Sunset Bummer," Trixie said. "Very well, challenge accepted!"
"LET'S DUEL!" Trixie and Sunset both shouted as their duel disks activated.
Sunset Shimmer LP: 4000
Trixie Lulamoon LP: 4000
"My Turn, I draw," Sunset said as she drew a card. "First I activate the Spell Card Double Summon, this allows me to normal summon two monsters on the same turn. Whenever there are no monsters out on the field, I can summon Big-Piece Gollum from my hand without tributing. So I summon Big-Piece Gollum to the field in Attack mode."
Big-Piece Gollum: ATK: 2100, DEF: 0.
"Alright and because of the Double summons effect, I can summon another monster to my field," Sunset said. "So now I summon Medium-Piece Gollum which will also be in attack mode.
Medium-Piece Gollum: ATK: 1600, DEF: 0.
"And thanks to Medium-Piece Gollum's Special ability, I can now summon Small-Piece Gollum to the field," Sunset said.
Small-Piece Gollum: ATK: 1100, DEF: 0.
Then I put two cards face-down and end my turn.
"Alright, Dork, my turn," Trixie said as she drew her next card. "I summon Big Insect in Attack mode."
Big Insect: ATK: 1200, DEF: 1500.
"Wait a minute, you're using the Basic Insect Deck," Sunset said as she burst into laughter. "Wow, that's one of the most useless decks out there. Where'd you get that from, Weevil Underwood."
"Nrrgh, YOU WON'T BE LAUGHING AT ME NO MORE WHEN I'M DONE WITH YOU!" Trixie yelled.
"Yeah, I'll do that once you start getting a better deck, as well as some grammar lessons," Sunset said chuckling, making Trixie even angrier.
"Big Insect, attack her Small-Piece Gollum," Trixie commanded as her monster charged for an attack
"Not so fast Trixie," Sunset said. "You just activated my Face-down, The Mirror Force Trap Card. If you attack me when this card is in play, not only is the attack negated but all of your attack position monsters are destroyed.
Trixie only watched as her insect were destroyed.
"Wahh, no fair, that card should be forbidden," Trixie said.
"No it shouldn't be forbidden," Sunset said. "You're just being a spoiled brat who doesn't like to lose."
"Grr, I end my turn," Trixie said.
"Alright my move," Sunset said as she drew another card. I play the spell card, Resonator call. With this card, I can add one Resonator monster from my deck to my hand."
"And now that I've added one Resonator card to my hand, I now summon, The Tuner Monster, Red Resonator," Sunset says as she summons the tuner monster to the field
Red Resonator: ATK: 600, DEF: 200
"Oh and when Red Resonator is normally summoned, its special ability activates, in which I can summon a level 4 or lower monster from my hand," Sunset said. "So I will now summon the level 3 Clock Resonator to the field.
Clock Resonator: ATK: 1200, DEF: 600
"And now I think it's time for a little tune-up," Sunset said as she prepared to synchro summon.
"I tune up my level 2 Red Resonator with my level 4 Medium-Piece Gollum, to Synchro summons Red Wyvern," Sunset said as the synchro summon commenced.
Red Wyvern: ATK: 2400, DEF: 2000.
"And after using the Star-Changer Spell Card, I can either increase or decrease a face-up monster's level by one," Sunset said. "So now, I increase my Small-Piece Gollum's level to 4.
"Now I tune up my Level 3 Clock Resonator with my now Level 4 Small Piece Gollum to synchro summon Exploder Dragon-Wing," Sunset said.
Exploder Dragon-Wing: ATK: 2400, DEF: 1600.
"Alright, Red Wyvern, attack Trixie directly," Sunset said as her monster attacked.
Trixie Lulamoon: LP: 4000-2400=1600
"And now, Exploder Dragon-Wing, let your fire loose and lay waste to the rest of her life points," Sunset said as her dragon let out a fireball.
Trixie Lulamoon: LP: 0

"Welp, Looks like I win again," Sunset said as the duel concluded
"Argh," Trixie growled as she lay on the ground in defeat. "Grr, YOU ALWAYS WIN, WHY WON'T YOU LET ME WIN FOR ONCE! ARGH, I HATE YOU!"
"I'LL GET YOU BACK FOR THIS, I PROMISE YOU THAT," Trixie roared as she and her cronies took off running.
"Sigh, when will she ever learn," Sunset said as she was polishing her duel runner to get rid of the gash on it.
On the sidelines, Celestia, one of the headmasters of the academy, was watching Sunset and Trixie's duel.
"Hmm, It seems that you have a lot of dueling prowess," Celestia thought to herself. "You are going to be perfect for the Synchro House at the academy."

Chapter 1: Synchro Spectacular: Part 1 of 2: A Great Evil Emerges
Sunset Shimmer was fast asleep as the ship was starting to head towards duel island, when she felt something being put on her lap, which resulted in her waking up.
"I ACTIVATE MY TRAP CARD...huh," Sunset said as she was startled awake.
Sunset then saw that there was a strange golden crown that was on her lap. The Crown had an eye in its center.
"Hmm, where did this come from," Sunset thought to herself as she examined the strange crown. "Ahh well, I'll just put it in my backpack and look at it some more once I get in my assigned dorm room."
"Well well well, I didn't know that The Red Rocket herself was enrolling in the academy," A female voice said behind Sunset. When she turned around, her face was filled with joy.
"ADAGIO," Sunset shouted with joy. "Oh my gosh, what are you doing here? I thought that you were competing in the Canterlot Fortune Cup."
"Oh, I'll have some time to learn in the academy before the Fortune Cup continues," Adagio said.
"So I guess you brought your Deep Sea Atlantean deck with you," Sunset said.
"You know me so well," Adagio said. "So I see that you have your Resonator Archfiend deck as well," Adagio asked.
"Yep," Sunset said. "And I also brought my Red-Eyes Black Dragon deck with me just as a back-up."
"Alright," Adagio said. Suddenly, Adagio saw the Golden Crown in Sunset's hands.
"Wait, you have one to," Adagio said as she got out a golden Gemstone, with an eye in its center.
"Wow, this is really strange," Sunset said. Although they both look really pretty."
"Yeah, I know," Adagio said. "I saw it lying on the desk in my room when I woke up this morning."
"Well, I take a closer look at this cube when I get to my dorm," Sunset said as she puts the cube in her backpack. "Tell Aria and Sonata I said Hi."
"Alright, will do," Adagio said as she returns to her seat.
However, unknowingly to Sunset, a girl with glasses is watching Sunset from afar, the girl also has the symbol of a shining Dark Purple eye on her forehead.
"So, Sunset and Adagio have Millennium Items as well," She says with a sinister grin on her face. "The Power of the Millennium Items belong to me, not these pathetic mortals." The Girl says as she gazes upon her Millennium Spell-book.
"You better prepare yourself Sunset, for when The Shadow Games are played, it will be a duel in which you will not win," Dark-Twilight said with a devilish grin. "And when I am victorious, your Millennium Item will be mine and your soul will be forever banished to the Shadow Realm, Hahahahahahaha."
"Weevil you cheapskate," Trixie said in an angry tone. "You said these insect cards would help me defeat Sunset, instead I was defeated and humiliated by her. I WANT A REFUND!!!"
"That's because you don't understand how to use the power of my precious insects," Weevil snarled. "At least I wasn't stupid enough to actually scratch a perfectly functioning duel-runner to instigate a duel," Weevil said with a devilish smirk as he walked away.
"Grr, if only I had a deck powerful enough to defeat Sunset," Trixie snarled.
"And I think just have the deck for that," Said a voice in the darkness.
"Who said that," Trixie said, just as a girl appeared out of the shadows. "Twilight Sparkle, is that you."
"Heh Heh Heh, no, the Twilight Sparkle you knew is long gone, I'm something much darker than that" Dark-Twilight said with a sinister grin on her face.
"Wait a minute, if you're not Twilight than who are you, and what's with the glowing eye on your forehead," Trixie asked with a worried expression on her face.
"Hmm, Who am I," Dark-Twilight said. "I am a fiend and a stealer of souls, and I believe that you are just the little guinea pig I need to test out my new shadow games."
"What do you mean by guinea pig," Trixie said as Dark-Twilight handed her a deck.
"This is a deck known as End of the World," Dark-Twilight said as the deck emitted a dark blue aura. "With it, you will be able to lay waste to all of your opponents, with the all-powerful Ritual Monster, Demise, King of Armageddon."
"Let's make a deal," Dark-Twilight said. "If you win against Sunset, I will allow you to keep the deck, and in return for your victory, you must give me Sunset's Millennium Crown."
"Alright, that seems easy enough," Trixie said, but then Trixie had a thought that sent a shiver down her spine. "Wait a minute, what happens if I lose the duel."
Dark-Twilight's grin widened, "Well, to answer that, look at your feet."
Trixie then saw a dark portal below her, and saw shadowy figures reaching out for her which terrified her to her core.
"Now you know the stakes of failure," Dark Twilight said with a devilish smile. "If you lose the duel, your soul will be spending an eternal trip in the Shadow Realm, but I doubt that will happen with such a powerful deck at your disposal. So failure would be quite an anti-climax."
Suddenly, a dark blue eye appeared on Trixie's forehead, as she grew a devilish grin.
"Heh, now that you have taken the bait Trixie, you are now my first Dark Duelist," Dark-Twilight said. "Now go and bring me the Millennium Crown."

Chapter 1: Synchro Spectacular: Part 2 of 2: Resonator vs. Predaplant, Sunset Shimmer vs. Wallflower Blush Part 1 of 3: Deadly Vines
"Attention all future duelists," The Captain of the ship said. "This is your Captain speaking, The ship will be heading to Duelist Island in about 15 minutes, please return to your seats as we approach our final destination."
Sunset had gotten into her seat after she was sure that her duel runner was perfectly polished. It's as her father always said, "A Clean Duel Runner is a Perfect Duel Runner." This made Sunset chuckle a little.
"Oh, I can't believe that I'm going to be enrolled in the Duelist Academy," Sunset thought to herself. "Don't worry Dad, I'm going to make you proud when I pass and become New Domino Cities Top Turbo-Duelist, just like Jack Atlas."
Suddenly, Sunset saw that there was a short girl with leaf green hair sitting in the seat that was next to her.
"Oh, hi, I didn't see you there, my name's Sunset Shimmer, what's your name," Sunset asked the girl, who was looking at the cards in her deck.
"Wallflower Blush, my name is Wallflower Blush," Wallflower said with a shy tone in her voice. " I saw that you had a lot of Synchro monsters in your deck, that must mean that you're going to be put in the Synchro house for sure."
"Yeah, I'm sure I will," Sunset said. "Say, could I see what kind of deck you have?"
"Sure," Wallflower said as she handed Sunset her deck.
"Oh, you have a Predaplant Deck, that is a really powerful deck, there are a lot of very powerful fusion monsters in that deck," Sunset said. "You must be really into plants, huh."
"Yeah, you could say that," Wallflower said. "You know, I saw you talking with that other girl, her name was Adagio, right?"
"Yes, you are correct," Sunset said.
"Oh, ok, I just wanted to ask, was Adagio born in New Domino City like you were," Wallflower asked.
"Oh, no no, Adagio and her sisters were born in the Satellite Sector," Sunset said with a sad expression. "And if it weren't for me and my other friend, Rainbow-Dash, all three of them would be locked up for life in the facility by Sector Security."
"It's a good thing that Rainbow-Dash joined Sector Security," Sunset said. "Even though Sector Security was full of a lot of Bad Cops, Rainbow was taught by a duo of Good Cops, Officer Tetsuo Trudge, and Lieutenant Spitfire."
"Hmm, I guess Sector Security is going to get a little better now that they're under new leadership," Wallflower said.
"Yes, you're correct on that," Sunset said. "Hey, speaking of dueling, once orientation is over, do you mind if we have a little duel together."
"Sure, I'd like to have a little duel with you," Wallflower said as she started to blush a little.
Suddenly, both girls felt the boat come to a screeching halt. "Alright everyone, we have arrived at Duelist Island, please bring all of your belongings and exit the Boat. Orientation will start tomorrow, but all you have to do today is go to the security officials at the front of the building once that is done, tell them your name, then show them your decks and ace monsters. We thank you for having a safe trip with us at Kaibacorp Mariners, and we hope you all enjoy the rest of your day."
At that moment Dark Twilight was watching from the shadows.
Well, well, well, It seems like we've arrived," Dark Twilight said.
"It could be easy for me, but with Cinch in possession of the Millenium Gauntlet, she'll be able to detect my dark spirit," Dark Twilight said.
"So, I'll just lay low for a while. It looks like that fool Twilight will get to control her body for a little while," Dark Twilight said. "You better be on your guard Shimmer, you haven't seen the last of me, HAHAHAHAHAHAHA."
The Purple eye vanished from Twilight's forehead, as she collapsed to the ground.
Then a few moments later, Twilight would awaken.
"Oh, my head," Twilight said as she regained consciousness. "Wait where am I, what happened?"
As soon as Sunset and Wallflower got off the boat, they were then met by a security official.
And as instructed by the boat captain, Sunset showed the security official her Hot Red Dragon Archfiend, her ace monster.
Wallflower also showed the official her ace monster, Predaplant Triphyoverutum.
Once this was done they were allowed to enter the academy on Duelist Island.
Once Sunset had found her dorm room and had situated all of her belongings, she then proceeded to go to the duel runner track room to test it out with her duel runner.
However, before she could, she then saw Wallflower out in the standard dueling arena and decided to have a standard duel with her.
"Hey Wallflower," Sunset greeted.
"Oh, hello," Wallflower said.
"So how about that little duel you wanted to do," Sunset said.
"Oh, you want to," Wallflower said in astonishment.
"Of course, I always keep my promises," Sunset said with a smile on her face.
"Alright then, let the duel begin," Wallflower said as they both prepared their duel disks.
"Let the duel commence," an Ai in both their duel disks said.
Sunset Shimmer LP: 8000
Wallflower Blush LP: 8000
Sunset and Wallflower began drawing 5 cards each.
"Alright, my turn," Sunset said.
"I'll start this duel by summoning Twin-Sword Marauder in attack mode," Sunset said as she summoned her monster.
"Predaplant Spinodionaea, attack her Marauder," Wallflower said as her monster attacked and destroyed Sunset's Twin-Sword Marauder.
Sunset: 8000-200=7800 LP.
"Wow, I'm impressed," Sunset said. "But you just fell into my trap."
"What," Wallflower said.
"I activate my Trap-Card Rope of life," Sunset said. "By discarding my whole hand to the graveyard, I can target a monster that was destroyed by battle and bring him back, but now with 800 additional Attack points."
"Aww, man," Wallflower said. "I put one card face-down and end my turn."
"Alright, I draw," Sunset said. "And I'll use the Spell Card: Pot of Greed, which will allow me to draw two more cards from my deck."
"And now I'll activate my second Trap Card, Graceful Revival," Sunset said. "With this, I can bring back one Level 2 or lower monster from my Graveyard and place it in Attack Mode, so I'll bring out The Tuner Monster, Force Resonator."
Force Resonator: Fiend-Type, level: 2
ATK: 500, DEF: 500
"Now, I'll tune up my Level 2 Force Resonator with my Level 4 Twin-Sword Marauder, to Synchro Summon, Red Rising Dragon," Sunset said as she completed her synchro summon.
Red-Rising Dragon: Dragon-Type, Level 6.
ATK: 2100, DEF: 1600.
"Oh, and thanks to my Red-Rising Dragon's Special Ability, when this card is synchro summoned, I can target one resonator monster in my graveyard and can special summon it to the field," Sunset said. "So now I summon the Level 2 Crimson Resonator."
Crimson Resonator: Fiend-Type, Level 2
ATK: 800, DEF: 300
"And with that, I'll tune up my Level 2 Crimson Resonator to my Level 6 Red Rising Dragon to Synchro Summon my Ace Monster, Hot Red-Dragon Archfiend," Sunset said as she completed her synchro Summon. "Come on out Hot-Red Dragon Archfiend, and show your rage."
Her Dragon let out a mighty roar as it entered the field.
Hot Red Dragon Archfiend: Dragon Type, Level 8
ATK: 3000, DEF: 2000.
"Just to go easy on you, I'll put three cards face-down and end my turn," Sunset said.
"Oh, how am I supposed to fight that thing," Wallflower thought to herself. "Ok, I'll try to hold on while I still can."
"I draw," Wallflower said. "And I'll use the spell card Swords of Revealing Light," Wallflower said as three swords descended from the sky. "You can't attack for three turns."
"Alright now I activate the continuous spell, Predaponics," Wallflower said. And with it, I can special summon one level 4 or lower Predaplant monster from my hand or graveyard once per turn."
"So I special Summon Predaplant Chlamydosundew in Defense Mode," Wallflower stated as she summoned her monster.
Predaplant Chlamydosundew: Plant Type, Level: 2
ATK: 600, DEF: 200.
"And now I'll use the spell card Polymerization," Wallflower said. "So I'll use it to fuse my Predaplant Spinodionaea and Predaplant Chlamydosundew to Fusion Summon Predaplant Chimerafflesia."
Predaplant Chimerafflesia: Plant-Type, Level 7
ATK: 2500, DEF: 2000.
"Yikes, that's one mean-looking flower," Sunset said in shock.
"Yeah, and there's more," Wallflower said.
"I activate the Spell Card, Card Destruction," Wallflower said as she activated her spell card. "We must both discard our entire hands and draw the same number of cards that we had from our previous hands."
After this was done, Wallflower had 5 new cards and Sunset had 4.
"I activate the Spell Card, Predapruning," Wallflower said. "With this card, I can target one Predaplant Monster in my graveyard and I can special summon it, so I call forth Predaplant Squid Drosera to the field."
Predaplant Squid Drosera: Plant-Type, level: 2.
ATK: 800, DEF: 400.
"And now I'll use a second Polymerization spell to fuse Predaplant Chimerafflesia with Predaplant Squid Drosera to fusion summon Predaplant Dragostapelia," Wallflower commanded as she fused her monsters.
Predaplant Dragostapelia: Plant-Type, Level: 8
ATK: 2700, DEF: 1900
"Now I summon Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio in Attack mode."
"And when Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio is normally Summoned, its special ability activates," Wallflower said. "I can choose one Predaplant monster in my deck and special summon it, so I'll Special summon Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra in defense mode."
"Oh and when Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra was summoned due to the effect of a Predaplant Monster, it's special ability can activate," Wallflower said. "I can add one Polymerization or Fusion spell card from my deck to my hand."
"And now I activate Predaprime Fusion," Wallflower said as she activated her spell card. "With this I can fusion summon one dark fusion monster from my extra deck if I have Predaplant monsters out on the field."
"And so, I will now fuse Predaplant Dragostapelia, with Predaplant Ophrys Scorpio and Predaplant Darlingtonia Cobra to make my ace monster, Predaplant Triphyoverutum," Wallflower said as when her three monsters fused, the resulting monster let out a frightening screech.

"Woah, my Hot Red Dragon Archfiend and her monster have equal attack points," Sunset said. "That means if she attacks she'll take out both monsters. So if I don't find a card that can deter it, my monsters will be turned into Plant-Food. I need to find out what to do before it's too late."
(Meanwhile in Cinch's office)
Twilight then entered through the front door of Cinch's office.
"Hello Principal Cinch, did you want to see me," Twilight asked as she came in.
"Yes, I did," Cinch said in a stern tone of voice. "Did you get those rare cards I asked you to get?"
"No, I'm sorry, they're very hard to find," Twilight said with a worried tone.
"Twi, I cannot have weak-willed duelists in my academy, do not make me get rid of you," Cinch sneered as Twilight became more frightened.
"I've heard enough of your banter, you old crone," The Spirit of the Millennium Spell-Book snarled as it emerged from the book as a purple fog with red eyes.
"What, what dark trickery is this," Cinch said in shock.
"You'll find out soon enough," The Spirit of the Millennium Spell-Book said as it went into Twilight's body.
Twilight's frightened frown turned into a sinister grin as she looked at Cinch with eyes full of malice and a purple eye appeared on her forehead.
"Who or what are you," Cinch shrieked in shock.
"I'm the Twilight that your student alway's wished to be, I'm the true Twilight," Dark-Twilight said as she picked up a deck in her pocket.
She then put three cards face-down on the table.
"These three cards will help predict your past, present, and future," Dark-Twilight said as she flipped the first card face-up.
"The first card is the trap card tragedy," Dark-Twilight said. "It depicts that you were once happy, had a happy family and were expecting a child, unfortunately that child died from a miscarridge and later your husband abandoned you after the child's death."
H-How did you know about that," Cinch said as tears were starting to form.
"The next card is Vain Betrayer," Dark-Twilight said. "This depicts your present state; you became egotistical and vain, and you cared little for all the problems that were occuring in the world at large."
The final card is the monster card, Dark Spirit of Banishment," Dark-Twilight said. "It's a very poetic card to depict your future...because I'm about to banish your soul to the Shadow Realm forever."
"What," Cinch squeaked before Dark-Twilight handed her a duel-disk.
"If you want your soul in one piece, you have to beat me in a duel," Dark-Twiight said.
"Very well, you will regret making me angry Twilight or whatever you are," Cinch said as she readied her psychic deck.
"Whatever," Dark-Twilight scoffed. "Prepare yourself Mortal, and let the Shadow-Game begin, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!"

"Get ready Twilight, even someone like you is no match for the power of my Psychic Monsters," Cinch scoffed.
"Oh I'm trembling in my boots...not," Dark-Twilight snickered as she prepared her duel disk as well. "Just to let you know, I won't be using any of Twilight's pathetic spell-casters, I have a new deck ready, with even new terrifying twists that even you will never see coming!"
"I'm not scared of you, or your new deck," Cinch retorted.
"Oh Really, then why do I see such fear in your eyes," Dark Twilight said as the right side of her face started to distort into a more demented-looking face.
"Let's Duel," Both Dark Twilight and Cinch said as the duel commenced.
Twilight Sparkle LP: 8000 Abacus Cinch LP: 8000
"My turn," Cinch said as she drew 1 card.
Cinch's Starting Hand: Psi-Blocker, Reinforced Human Psychic Borg, Emergency Teleport, Telekinetic Power Well, Psychic Feel Zone, and Mental Seeker.
"I summon Psi-Blocker to the field in Attack Mode!" Cinch commanded.
"Then I'll activate the spell card, emergency teleport," Cinch stated as her spell card activated. "With this card, I can special-summon one level-3 or lower psychic monster from my hand or deck, but I must banish it during the end phase of my turn."
"And with that, I summon the level 2 tuner monster, Psychic Jumper," Cinch said as she summons her monster in defense mode.
"And now, I will tune up my Level-2 Psychic Jumper with my Level-4 Psi-Blocker," Cinch said as she prepared to synchro summon. "Let's just see how powerful your new monsters are against this!"
"I Synchro Summon, PSYCHIC NIGHTMARE," Cinch roared.
"Heh, clever, very clever," Dark Twilight retorted. "But even that won't save your soul as I drag it down into the dark abyss."
"We'll see," Cinch said. "I place two cards face-down and end my turn, your move."
"Very well," Dark Twilight said as she drew a card.
Dark Twilight's Starting Hand: Humanoid Slime, Foolish Burial, Monster Reborn, Polymerization, Black Pendant, Remove Trap.
"First, I'll activate the spell card, foolish burial," Dark Twilight announced. "When this card is activated, I must send one monster from my deck to my graveyard."
Dark Twilight then sent the monster, Worm Drake to her graveyard.
"Now, I'll summon Humanoid Slime in defense mode," Dark Twilight said as she summoned her monster.
Humanoid Slime: Level-4, Aqua Type ATK: 800, DEF: 2000
"Then I'll activate the spell card, Monster-Reborn," Dark Twilight stated. "This card allows me to revive one monster from either of our graveyards."
"So, I revive my Worm Drake from my graveyard," Dark Twilight announced.
"So, now I'll activate the spell-card Polymerization and make my two monsters into one powerful creature," Dark Twilight says as Humanoid Slime and Worm Drake are fused.
"I fusion summon, Humanoid Worm Drake," Dark Twilight announced.
Humanoid Worm-Drake: Level-7, Aqua Type ATK: 2200, DEF: 2000
"Hah, if you think that slime worm will stand a chance against my Psychic Nightmare, then you're dead wrong," Cinch retorted.
"Oh but I have a card that could change all that," Dark Twilight said in a sinister voice. "I activate this spell card, the Dark and Mystical Black Pendant."
"The monster I equip this card to will gain 500 additional attack points, so I'll equip the black pendant to Humanoid Worm Drake," Dark Twilight retorted.
Humanoid Worm-Drake: Level-7, Aqua Type ATK: 2700, DEF: 2000
"WHAT," Cinch said in shock.
"Humanoid Worm Drake, feast upon her Psychic Nightmare," Dark Twilight commanded as Humanoid Worm Drake destroyed Psychic Nightmare.
Cinch LP: 8000-300=7700
"Ugh," Cinch moaned in pain. "I'll make you regret that."
"Heh, you won't be doing anything for much longer once your soul is in the shadow realm and the Millenium Gauntlet is in my possession," Dark Twilight stated. "I end my turn."
"My move," Cinch said as she drew one card from her deck.
"I summon Silent Psychic Wizard," Cinch announced.
Silent Psychic Wizard: Level-4: Psychic Type ATK: 1900, DEF: 0
"And once my Silent Psychic Wizard has been summoned, its special ability activates," Cinch retorted. "I can target one Psychic monster in my graveyard and I can banish it."
Cinch then banished her Psychic Nightmare.
Then I'll activate my face-down card, the spell card, Telekinetic Power Well," Cinch stated. "I can now special summon any number of level-2 or lower psychic monsters from my graveyard to the field, but it will cost me 300 life points for each psychic monster summoned."
"So, I'll bring my Psychic Jumper back to the field," Cinch said.
Abacus Cinch LP: 7300
"And now I'll tune up my level-2 Psychic Jumper with my level-4 Silent Psychic Wizard, to Synchro Summon Hyper Psychic Riser," Cinch announced.
Hyper Psychic Riser: Level-6: Psychic Type ATK: 2000, DEF: 600
"And now that my Silent Psychic Wizard has left the field, I can summon the monster I just banished back to my side of the field," Cinch said as her Psychic Nightmare returned to the field.
"And now, I'll activate Psychic Nightmare's special ability," Cinch said. "I get to choose a card in your hand, and if I choose it correctly my Psychic Nightmare gains 1000 attack points."
"And since there's only one card in your hand, I say it's a spell card," Cinch said, much to Dark Twilight's shock, as it was her remove trap spell card.
"Psychic Nightmare, exact your burning vengeance on her Humanoid Worm Drake with Psychokinetic Pulse," Cinch ordered as Psychic Nightmare destroyed Humanoid Worm Drake.

"Heh, thanks to Black Pendant going to the graveyard, you lose 500 of your life points," Dark Twilight cackled.
Abacus Cinch LP: 7300-500=6800
"Hyper Psychic Riser, attack her life points directly," Cinch ordered as her monster attacked.
"AAAGGGHHH," Dark Twilight wailed as she took the direct attack.
Twilight Sparkle LP: 7300-2000=5300
"So, have you had enough pain for one day," Cinch asked.
"Heh heh...hahahahaha...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA," Dark-Twilight laughed as she got off the ground.
"What's so funny," Cinch asked.
"Oh, what's so amusing to me that the warm-up is finally over," Dark Twilight cackled. "Now with the Magic of my Millenium Spell-Book, we'll be taking this duel to the birthplace of Duel-Monsters, THE SHADOW REALM!"
"LET THE SHADOW-GAME BEGIN," Dark Twilight laughed with Twisted Delight as the duel field was engulfed in a black and purple fog. "Be afraid Cinch, be very afraid, for the rules of this duel have now changed...FOREVER! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!"
"What is this, I've never seen a duel like this before," Cinch screeched in shock.
"I wouldn't be surprised," Dark Twilight retorted. "I'm playing the game as it was originally intended, back in the ancient times when God's fought against great Titans and armies of men killed each other for power and greatness."
"Y-YOU'RE INSANE," Cinch cried.
"Oh am I, do you say that because I use dark magic to fight in my duels," Dark Twilight retorted. "Last Time I checked, you do the same thing with your Millennium Gauntlet."
"ENOUGH, I ORDER YOU TO END THIS NOW," Cinch bellowed.
"You are in no position to be giving me orders, you pathetic mortal," Dark Twilight stated as her face distorted again.
"YOU WILL END THIS DUEL NOW," Cinch roared.
"Never, the Shadows grow hungry and they will be fed," Dark Twilight stated. "Besides you won't be entering the shadows alone, as when I do away with you and your Millennium Gauntlet is in my hands where it belongs, little weak Twilight will be joining you in the shadow realm."
"Now before we continue, I want to ask you a simple question," Dark Twilight asked.
"What is it," Cinch retorted.
"Have you ever wondered how the Millenium Item in your possession was created in the first place," Dark Twilight asked?
"Then tell me," Cinch asked.
"It was created after The Mighty Pharaoh lost against Yugi Muto and returned to his slumber," Dark Twilight said. However, there is more to this story. Have you ever heard of the Legend of the Cursed Eldlands?"
"If not, then allow me to tell you," Dark Twilight said. "There were once a group of Alchemists that wanted many things, including riches and fame. So they attempted to create the Magnum opus of alchemy, a Philosopher's Stone."
"However, to create such a relic, they required human souls," Dark Twilight said. "So they slaughtered many of their people to create the Philosopher's Stone.
"The Alchemists were trying to create this stone because they heard that a philosopher's stone had the magical power to turn something completely worthless into something valuable," Dark Twilight proclaimed. "They also heard that the stone excreted a certain elixir that would give the drinker immortality."
"And so, The Alchemists, blinded by their greed, had successfully created the Philosopher's Stone," Dark Twilight stated. "However, something went wrong, as the stone through the four stages of the Alchemical evolution."
"First was the Negredo stage, known as The Blackening, in which the stone started to decay and turn into a sickly black," Dark Twilight stated. "Then it went to the second stage, the Albedo stage known as The Whitening, in which the stone started becoming clear and turned white."
"Then came the Citrinitas Stage, or the yellowing, when it started letting out an infernal golden light," Dark Twilight stated. "However this was the part that went wrong, as the light started going out of control, as it regurgitated the souls of the people who were sacrificed to create the stone."
And finally, the stone turned to its fourth and final stage, the Rubedo stage, also known as the reddening," Dark Twilight stated. "It was a sign that the alchemic stage was complete, as it then let loose a bright crimson light, and the Alchemist's wishes had been granted."
"Everything that this crimson light touched turned into gold and all the people that saw its glow were granted with immortality," Dark Twilight said. "However, the rule of equivalent exchange had not been bypassed floors the walls and the statues all began turning gold so did the insects the animals and even the people."
"The gift of immortality was true, however the flesh of the mere mortal bodies began to decompose and their once great minds began to blur into a mindless haze when the dust finally settled, all that remained was horror," Dark Twilight stated. "And at the center of it all the philosopher's stone. The city would be renamed from this day onward as The Cursed Eldlands, a place that no one would dare tread."
"Well, that is until from the shadows a man appeared or perhaps a creature, for he had heard rumors of a city of gold with a jewel sitting at its center," Dark Twilight fortold. the man walked straight into the heart of the city and grabbed the mighty philosopher's stone with his bare hands."
"Through pure strength and his own sheer level of ego and greed he was able to perform a ritual that focused the gold's curse onto himself," Dark Twilight stated. "Because of this, the stone began merging with him warping him into the controller of the most powerful element and source of strength on the planet."
"With this power fused to his armor and with an army of golden-clad immortal soldiers he began his march to conquer the world turning all who would cross his path into his golden servants," Dark Twilight stated. "However once again the rules of equivalent exchange had been broken and a price needed to be paid, because, the more the golden lord used his powers the more his mind slowly began to slip from him until eventually the once proud and greedy lord had become a mindless creature and the stone that had started it all began taking on a new form."
"True, the original seven Millennium Items were away after the Pharaoh passed on, however, seven new Millennium items were created by this ancient deity of immense power, Eldlich, The Golden Lord."
"Eldlich was always afraid that one day the Pharaoh would return and smite him," Dark Twilight explained. "He was afraid that the Pharaoh would become a greater threat to him, so after reading from the ancient Egyptian scriptures, Eldlich sacrificed 99 of his subjects to give rise to the new seven Millennium Items."
"The Millennium Crown, The Millennium Spell-Book, The Millennium Gemstone, The Millennium Mirror, The Millennium Shield, The Millennium Gauntlet, and The Millennium Stone," Dark Twilight explained.
"However, Eldlich The Golden Lord sealed away a piece of his dark essence inside the Millennium Spell-Book, a piece of his essence that over time gave rise to me," Dark Twilight confessed. "That's right you pathetic mortal, I am the last fragment of Eldlich's essence that gained sentience over time. And it is my mission to prepare for my master, The Golden Lord's Resurrection to this world and his rise back to power over all creation."
"And it was poor pathetic little Twilight who then found me right before she entered the boat for Duelist Academy," Dark Twilight retorted. "And when she read from the spell book's ancient scriptures, she released me from my eternal prison, and gave me permittance to control her body, mind, and soul."
"But telling you this won't matter in the end, because if you think this is it, just wait. The Darkness of the Shadow Realm has an endless array of frightening twists that will send you screaming in sorrow, like being trapped in an eternal nightmare," Dark Twilight cackled. "Only this nightmare is much too real, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!"

"Alright then Twilight, make your next move," Cinch said.
"As you wish," Dark Twilight obliged as she drew her next card. "But before I do, there's something that I should tell you."
"And what would that be exactly," Cinch asked.
"That this next monster will leave you in a tight spot because this monster is virtually indestructible," Dark Twilight said. "So I now summon Revival Jam, in defense mode."
Revival Jam: Level 4, Aqua Type ATK: 1500, DEF: 500
"I then put one card face down and end my turn," Dark Twilight said.
"My move," Cinch said as she drew one card. "And I'll start by commanding my Psychic Nightmare to attack your Revival Jam."
Cinch's Psychic Nightmare then destroyed Revival Jam.
"Hmph, so much for Revival Jam, looks like your monster has been spluttered," Cinch said with a triumphant grin.
"Oh, is it," Dark Twilight snickered as the pieces of Revival Jam came back together.
"What is this," Cinch asked.
"Revival Jam can regenerate itself when it is destroyed, Dark Twilight retorted.
"Ugh fine, I put two cards face-down and end my turn," Cinch said.
"My turn," Dark Twilight stated. "I activate the spell card, pot of greed, which allows me to draw two more cards from my deck, sometimes, greed is good."
"I now summon Reactor Slime in Attack mode," Dark Twilight stated.
Reactor Slime: Level 4: Aqua Type ATK: 500, DEF: 500
"Oh and now that I summoned this monster, I must tell you its effect, starting on my next turn, Reactor Slime will be able to create 2 slime tokens, let's call this monster the better version of the spell card, Jam Breeding Machine, in which you can only summon 1 slime token."
"I now put one card face-down and end my turn," Dark Twilight stated.
"My move," Cinch said as she drew one card. "I summon Mental Seeker in attack mode."
Mental Seeker: Level 3: Psychic Type ATK: 800, DEF: 600
"And now I think level 3 Mental Seeker will now give my level 6 Hyper Psychic Riser a little Tune-Up," Cinch proclaimed. "I synchro summon, Hyper Psychic Blaster, the strongest of all my Psychic Monsters."\
"Ha, you pathetic fool, you activated my trap card, Jam Defender," Dark Twilight proclaimed. "With this trap, if one of my monsters is being attacked, I can switch it so that Rival Jam is the attack target."
Revival Jam is destroyed but then regenerated after it was destroyed.
"Fine, I end my turn," Cinch said.
"My turn," Dark Twilight as she drew...the card. "Ha, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA, I'VE FINALLY DRAWN THE MONSTER THAT WILL UTTERLY DESTROY YOU!"
"But before I do so, there's a certain effect that needs to be taken care of," Dark Twilight stated. "And now my Reactor Slime will create 2 slime tokens."
Slime Token: Level 1, Aqua Type ATK: 500, DEF: 500
"And now, it's time to summon my ultimate monster, the wicked God," Dark Twilight said. "I now sacrifice Reactor Slime and my two Slime Tokens, to create the monster of your Ultimate Destruction!"
"Great Beast of the Dark, please hear my call, reveal yourself from the kingdom of void, and bring me to triumph in this duel," Dark Twilight chanted as a dark hole appeared with purple lightning coming out from the hole. "Envelop the world with your shadow, and cast your wrath upon my foe, unlock the powers of pain and dread, so that the path to victory may be ahead. Appear in this Shadow Game, Wicked God of Hate, and ensure my opponent you will seal her fate. Appear before me as I speak your name, COME FORTH, THE WICKED DREADROOT!"
Then, a dark and mighty creature arose from the dark depth and let out a mighty roar as its red eyes glowed with absolute fury.

"Behold my great beast," Dark Twilight proclaimed. "One of the three wicked Gods, the evilest creatures to ever walk the earth! And it will be the monster to send you to the shadow realm, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!"
(Meanwhile, in the duel arena between Sunset and Wallflower)
"Now that we both have monsters that have the same number of attack points, how are you going to be able to attack me now," Wallflower asked.
"Hmm, I'll just have to see what my cards have for me," Sunset said as she drew a card.
"I activate the spell card, Red Dragon Vase," Sunset stated. "If I have a Red Dragon Archfiend on my side of the field, I can draw two cards from my deck."
Sunset then drew 2 cards from her deck.
"Yes," Sunset said in happiness. "I summon the Tuner Monster, Chain Resonator."
"Oh, and due to Hot Red Dragon Archfiend's special ability, I can destroy all monsters that are on your side of the field that is in attack mode," Sunset proclaimed. Hot Red Dragon Archfiend destroys all of her attack position monsters with Crimson Power Force."
"Oh no, my Predaplant Triphyoverutum's been destroyed, now I'm a sitting duck to her dragon," Wallflower said with a worried expression.
"But first, I'll tune up my Chain Resonator with my Hot Red Dragon Archfiend," Sunset stated.
"What, you're Synchro summoning with your ace monster, what could be more powerful than you Hot Red Dragon," Wallflower asked.
"Oh, Hot Red Dragon Archfiend is coming back, but now as the more powerful Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss," Sunset retorted.
Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss: Level 9: Fiend-Type ATK: 3200, DEF: 2500
"And now I'll summon Power Breaker in attack mode," Sunset stated.
Power Breaker: Level 4: Warrior Type ATK: 1900, DEF: 0
"And now I activate Polymerization, by fusing the Big-Piece Golem and Medium-Piece Golem into Multiple-Piece Golem," Sunset Proclaimed.
"Power Breaker attack Wallflower's life points directly," Sunset ordered.
Wallflower Blush: 8000-1900=6100
"Multiple-Piece Golem, it's your turn to attack," Sunset ordered. Wallflower Blush: 6100-2600=3500
"And now, to play fair, I'll end my turn, your move Wallflower," Sunset said.
"Alright, here I go," Wallflower said as she drew a card. "Thanks to the Predaponics effect, I can special summon one level 4 or lower Predaplant monster from my hand or graveyard."
"So I'll bring back Predaplant Pterapenthes in defense mode," Wallflower

"I now end my turn," Wallflower said begrudgingly.
"Alright, my move," Sunset said. "I'll sacrifice the weaker Power Breaker to summon the stronger Power Invader."

"And now I'll activate my trap card, Assault Mode Activate," Sunset proclaimed. "With this, I can Tribute 1 Synchro Monster; Special Summon 1 "/Assault Mode" monster, whose name includes the Tributed monster's name, from your Deck in Attack Position."
"So now, I sacrifice Hot Red Dragon Archfiend Abyss, to summon Red Dragon Archfiend Assault-Mode," Sunset announced.
"Sunset Shimmer is the Victor," The A.I. on their Duel disks said. "This Duel is now concluded, the dueling arena is now deactivated."
"Wow, that was a very entertaining duel," Sunset said.
"Heh heh, I'm not surprised that I lost, you are an experienced Turbo Duelist after all," Wallflower said.
"Experience has nothing to do with it," Sunset said. "All you need to do is believe in your deck and the cards within, and you can accomplish anything with that."
"Yeah, I guess so," Wallflower said happily
Suddenly, Sunset's stomach started growling, "Now that we're done talking, could we please go get some food, I haven't eaten anything since I got here," Sunset whimpered as they both laughed together as a new friendship is now formed.
"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA, The Power of The Wicked Dreadroot is going to send you to the shadow realm," Dark Twilight said. "Because thanks to the special ability of the Wicked Dreadroot, The Attack points of all monsters except for the Wicked Dreadroot are halved."

"And now, I'll switch Revival Jam to attack mode," Dark Twilight said. "And that's not all, I activate the spell card Ax of Despair, which I will equip to my Wicked Dreadroot which will then give the wicked god a 1000 attack point power boost."

"And now, Wicked Dreadroot, lay waste to her Hyper Psychic Blaster!"

"Then I'll use the spell card Raigeki, which destroys every monster you control, so say goodbye to your Psychic Nightmare."
"No, my monster," Cinch cried.
"You're done, VICTORY IS MINE NOW!" Dark Twilight shrieked in victory. "Revival Jam, attack her directly."

"Ugh, you may have done so much damage to me, but I'm still standing," Cinch said in defiance.
"Um, no, no you're not," Dark Twilight proclaimed. "As I activate the spell card Poison of the old man. And with this card, I can either gain 1200 LP or I can deal 800 points of damage to you."
"So now, the poison of the old man drains her life points," Dar Twilight ordered.
Abacus Cinch LP: 3050-800=2250
"And then I'll activate my second face-down spell card double attack, which can allow me to attack a second time," Dark Twilight proclaimed.
"Oh no," Cinch wept.

"I win," Dark Twilight said. "And now due to losing a shadow game, I'll take more than just your soul.
"What," Cinch cried.
"I'll also show you a memory of the past," Dark Twilight stated, as the memory of a trip to the beach Cinch and her family had planned appeared.
"There they are, you husband and the daughter you wished to have, all having fun...well, with no memory of you of course," Dark Twilight said.
"WHAT, NO," Cinch screamed.
"Now you will have to sit and watch this now painful new memory for all of eternity, Dark Twilight cackled as the Shadow Realm had engulfed Cinch completely leaving only Dark Twilight in the room.
"Now that this problem is settled and with the Millennium Gauntlet in my possession, I shall not cease until I have all 7 Millennium items," Dark Twilight proclaimed. "And then my master, The Golden Lord will finally be resurrected, and this world will be blotted out by the void of the shadow realm forever, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA!"

Chapter 2: The Orientation Duels begin Sector Security Duel: Rainbow-Dash vs Weevil Underwood/Orientation
(Meanwhile, in the ocean water near Duelist Island)
A Sector Security Boat was heading towards Duelist Academy, and this Sector Security officer was its Captain and Sunset's old friend from New Domino City, Rainbow-Dash.
Soon, Rainbow got a blip from her walkie-talkie.
"Yes, this is Rainbow-Dash, is that you Chief Trudge," Rainbow asked.
"Yep, are you on your way to Duelist Academy," Trudge asked.
"Affirmative, on my way to Duelist Academy, and even closer to squashing that cheating grub Weevil Underwood," Rainbow-Dash said.
"Alright, contact me if you find the bug, Chief Trudge over and out," Trudge said as the signal hung up the communication.
"Hope you're ready to duel Weevil because you're going to spend some time in the facility when I win," Rainbow-Dash said to herself.
Soon, Rainbow Boat finally arrives at Duelist Academy, where Sunset awaited her.
"Rainbow Dash, you son of a gun, it's so good to see you," Sunset said as she greeted her friend who was on her Sector Security Duel Runner. "Are you enrolling in the academy as well?"
"Yep, you got that right," Rainbow said with a joyful look on her face. "However, that's not the only reason I'm here, I'm also on official Sector Security Business."
"Hmm, what for," Sunset asked.
"Chief Trudge assigned me to Operation: Flyswatter," Rainbow Dash said.
"Grr, it's Weevil Underwood again isn't it," Sunset grimaced. "No good cheater, doesn't he ever know when to quit."
"I guess not, he stole a poor kid's duel-runner and threw his deck in the ocean, thank goodness I was there to get his deck back," Rainbow said.
"Are you using your Blackwing deck," Sunset asked.
"Not this time, got to use a sector security certified deck when on duty," Rainbow said. "But don't worry, that doesn't mean I'll be disadvantaged."
"Hehehe, are you sure about that copper," Weevil said as he emerged from the shadows.
"Hah, just the bug I wanted to see," Rainbow-Dash said sarcastically. "So, are you gonna return the duel runner you stole?"
"Heh, I'll only give you the duel runner and the rare cards I won if you beat me in a duel," Weevil said with a devilish smirk. "That is if you're up to it."
"Very well, I'm always keen for a duel against a bug like you Weevil," Rainbow said as they both prepared their duel-disks
"Let the duel commence," an Ai in both their duel disks said.

"Hehehe, I'll go first," Weevil said as he drew one card: Weevil's starting Hand: Basic Insect, Chainsaw Insect, Insect Armor with Laser Cannon, Insect Barrier, Laser Cannon Armor, and DNA Surgery.
"I'll summon my weak little Basic Insect in ATK mode," Weevil snickered.
Basic Insect: ATK: 500, DEF: 700.
"Hah, and if you think that's all, then you're wrong, dead wrong," Weevil Underwood said. "I also activate the Spell Card, Insect Armor with Laser Cannon, which increases my insects attack points by 700 points."
Basic Insect: ATK: 500 +700=1200, DEF: 700
"This other spell card will also be equipped to my insect, Laser Cannon Armor, giving my Basic Insect 300 more attack points.
Basic Insect: ATK: 1200 + 300= 1500, DEF: 700
"Then, I'll activate the Forest Field Spell," Weevil Proclaimed. "This Field spell allows the attack points of all Insect, Beast, plant, and Beast-Warrior monsters all gain 200 more attack points."
Basic Insect: ATK: 1500 + 200= 1700, DEF: 700
"Then I'll put one card face-down and end my turn," Weevil snickered. "Your move copper."
"Alright, my move," Rainbow said as she drew one card. "Remember Weevil, even a slimy bug like you isn't safe from the iron fist of the law."
"Due to Gate Blocker's special ability, when it's summoned, not only does it negate any field spell my opponent controls, but you also can't target any of my monsters with card effects, while Gate-Blocker remains on the field," Rainbow-Dash retorted. "Did you think I would let you use all those equips on your first turn?"
Basic-Insect: ATK: 1700-200=1500, DEF: 700
"Urgh," Weevil snarled. "It won't matter, once I have the monsters needed to summon my Great Moth or Insect Queen I'll destroy that Gate-Blocker and win the duel." Weevil thought to himself.
"I put one card face-down and end my turn," Rainbow said.
"Very well," Weevil said as he drew one card.
"I summon Chainsaw Insect in attack mode," Weevil retorted as he summoned his monster.
Chainsaw Insect: Insect Type Monster. Level-4 ATK: 2400, DEF: 0
"Haha, Chainsaw Insect, slice and dice her Gate-Blocker," Weevil commanded as his insect attacked.
"Not so fast, I activate the Spell-Card, Block Attack," Rainbow stated. "This allows me to choose one monster on your side of the field in attack mode and change it to defense mode."
"Urgh, it canceled my attack," Weevil said. "I end my turn."
"My move," Rainbow said as she drew one card. "I activate the spell card, Swords of Revealing Light, which means you cannot declare an attack for three whole turns."
"I summon Gonogo in Attack mode," Rainbow-Dash said as she summoned her monster
Gonogo: Level 3: Rock Type Monster ATK: 1350, DEF: 1600
"And now here's where the real fun begins," Rainbow retorted.
"My Level-2 Jutte Fighter is now going to tune up with my Level-3 Gonogo, to give rise to a much more powerful creature," Rainbow said as the synchro summon commenced. "I Synchro Summon Goyo Chaser."
"Goyo Chaser, attack Killer Needle," Rainbow said as Goyo Chaser destroyed Weevil's monster.
Weevil LP: 8000-700=7300
Oh, and thanks to Goyo Chaser's special ability, I can revive your Killer Needle to my side of the field, but its attack points are halved," Rainbow stated.
"And now I'll activate the spell card, Monster Reincarnation" Rainbow stated. "This allows me to summon one monster from my graveyard and place it into my hand. So I'll return my Jutte Fighter from my graveyard."
"Now I'll end my turn," Rainbow stated.
"My move," Weevil said as he drew a card.
"I place a monster face-down in defense mode and one more card face-down and end my turn," Weevil sneered. "Hehe, that cop doesn't realize that I placed my Petit moth down, I'll I have to do now is draw my Caccoon of Evolution, then I'll be able to summon my Great-Moth and squash her into submission," Weevil said devilishly to himself.
"Alright, ending it already, my move," Rainbow said as she drew another card.
"Now I summon Jutte Fighter to the field," Rainbow said as she summoned her monster.
"And now, I'll tune up my Jutte Fighter with your Killer Needle, To summon another monster of law," Rainbow stated. "To catch my prey I call upon a Predator, as I synchro summon, Goyo Predator."
"Goyo Predator, you know your assignment, attack his face-down now," Rainbow said as Goyo Predator destroyed Weevil's Monster. "Now Goyo Chaser attack Basic Insect."
Weevil Underwood LP: 7300-400= 6900
"And then I'll activate the spell card, Action-Magic: Double Banking," Rainbow stated. After discarding one card to the Graveyard, if one of my monsters has destroyed one of yours, it can attack again."
"WHAT," Weevil Shrieked.
"Goyo Predator, attack his life points directly," Rainbow ordered.
"AGH," Weevil shrieked.
Weevil Underwood's LP: 6900-2400=4500
"I now place one card face-down and end my turn," Rainbow-Dash said.
"Oh no, I'M DOOMED," Weevil thought to himself.
However, as he drew a card, he grew a devilish snicker. "Hehehe, I have now drawn the card that will destroy you."
"What," Rainbow asked in confusion.
"The Monster that I have drawn cannot be summoned unless I banish two Insect Monsters from my Graveyard," Weevil snickered. "And since my Chainsaw Insect and Killer Needle are resting cozily in my graveyard, I can now banish both of them to my graveyard to summon this insect powerhouse."
"Hehehe, I summon Doom Dozer," Weevil said as his powerful insect appeared.
"I activate the Monster Reborn Spell Card, which means I can revive any monster from either of our graveyards," Rainbow Dash stated. "So I choose my Goyo Chaser."
"Now, I summon the Tuner Monster, Torapart," Rainbow stated as she summoned her monster.
"Hah, what's that supposed to do," Weevil croaked.
"It's going to help me with a synchro summon Weevil," Rainbow retorted.
"WHAT," Weevil shrieked.
"I tune-up my Level 2 Torapart with my Level 6 Goyo Predator," Rainbow said as her synchro summon initiated. "This is the end of the line for you law-breaker, I synchro summon, my ace monster of Law, Goyo King!"
"Ha, you fool, your Goyo King has the same number of attack points as my Doom-Dozer, what could you possibly do with that," Weevil retorted.
"You would be right if it weren't for Goyo King's special ability," Rainbow stated. "You see when Goyo King is summoned to the field, it gains 400 attack points for each warrior-type monster out on my field, and since I also have Goyo Chaser on the field, it means that Goyo King's attack points will increase by 400 points.
"Goyo King, destroy his Doom Dozer with Justice Strike," Rainbow Dash said as Goyo King charged in and destroyed Doom Dozer.
Weevil Underwood LP: 4500-400=4100
"OH NO, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO MY BEAUTIFUL DOOM DOZER," Weevil Underwood yelped.
"Oh and since my Goyo King destroyed your Doom Dozer, I can activate one of two effects," Rainbow stated. I can either special summon that monster to my side of the field or put one face-up monster on your side of the field to mine."
"And so I'll bring your Doom-Dozer to my side of the field in Attack Mode," Rainbow stated.
"Oh...OH NO," Weevil shrieked in fright.
"Doom Dozer put a bite on Weevil's life points," Rainbow said as Doom Dozer attacked.
Weevil Underwood LP: 4100-2800= 1300
"You see Weevil, in the end, you were nothing more than a caged bug, thinking you had gotten stronger from the scraps you stole, and thinking that you could pull a fast one on Sector Security, It's all pretty hilarious," Rainbow-Dash retorted.
"Few have tried, all have failed. There is no escape from the silver and righteous hand of Justice and the Law," Rainbow said as Goyo Chaser Charged in and wiped out the rest of Weevil's life points.
Weevil Underwood LP: 0
"Oh no, I lost," Weevil wept in defeat. "But that doesn't mean you'll catch me, fool, Tehehehe."
However, as Weevil was making a run for it, he then bumped into something or someone.
"Going somewhere bug," Chief Trudge retorted as he then put Weevil in cuffs. "I thought Principal Celestia kicked you out because you couldn't stop cheating. Well, we'll have a long conversation while you're locked up for a few days in the facility."
"Thanks for a job well done, Dash," Trudge said as he put Weevil into a cell on his Sector Security Boat. "Enjoy your studies at duel-academy."
"Will do Chief," Rainbow said as Trudge raced away.
"That duel was awesome, Rainbow," Sunset said happily.
"Oh I know it was," Rainbow said. "Anyways, I better get out of this uniform, I want to look good for orientation."
Meanwhile, at the Duel Academy conference room, orientation was about to begin.
"First before we start, there are a few people that would like to have a few words with all of us," Principal Celestia said to all the students. "First, I would like to introduce all of you to the head of Kaiba Corp Industries, Seto Kaiba."
Then Kaiba entered the room as the students watched in awe.
"Thank you, all of you, it's nice to be appreciated," Kaiba said in a very arrogant way. "All of you should be very privileged that you will learn how to duel from me, Seto Kaiba, the world's greatest duelist! HAHAHAHAHAHAHAAA!"
"World's greatest duelist," Wallflower said in confusion. "I thought Yugi Muto was the world's greatest duelist."
"Tsk," Kaiba tensed in irritation. "Yes, as I was saying."
"Yugi is, Kaiba is just trying to flaunt his ego," Sunset confirmed. "I just can't wait for him to lose to Yugi for the umpteenth time."
"Ugh, these ingrates, I'm done here," Kaiba sneered as he stormed off.
"Well, since Kaiba has left prematurely, we shall now let our next guest talk," Celestia said. "May I introduce you all to the chairman of Industrial Illusions, and the creator of Duel-Monsters himself, Maximillion Pegasus."
"Hello, new students of Duel Academy, it's nice to see you all," Pegasus said. "As you all know, Duel Academy is a school that is geared to letting us know who is destined to become the new greatest duelist in the world."
"There are seven dorms in this illustrious academy, Standard, Ritual, Fusion, Synchro, XYZ, Pendulum, and LINK," Pegasus proclaimed. "So, let's hope that all of you get chosen in the dorm of your preferred dueling style."
After Pegasus said this he then left the orientation room.
"So for our newest students, once we put you all in your respective dorms, you will all partake in initiation duels against our state-of-the-art A.I. Duelists," Principal Celestia proclaimed.
Sunset Shimmer, Adagio Dazzle, Rainbow-Dash, and Sunset's childhood friend Starlight Glimmer were put in the Synchro Dorm.
Wallflower Blush, Rarity Belle, and Twilight Sparkle (Sci-Twi) were put into the Fusion Dorm.
Aria Blaze and Sonata Dusk were put into the XYZ Dorm.
Trixie Lulamoon was put into the Ritual Dorm.
And so after the sorting had been completed, all of the new students then went to the practice arenas to take their initiation duels. How will our new cast of heroes do in their practice duels and their first steps to becoming future Duel Masters, only time will tell.
