‘With Great Power Comes, Great Power hungry Bad Guys´
Sonic used to live in Equestria with Celestia and Luna but was forced to leave after Discord became corrupted. 13 years later he returns but is fearful of being discovered by others, he ends up finally letting his emotions go on one faithful night 3 years after his arrival and releases a shockwave that attracts a new threat to Equestria.
The Storm King arrives to not only steal the magic of the princesses but to claim Sonic’s power as well. The main 6 along with Spike team up with Sonic and set out on a journey of Epic Proportions.
(Takes place within the events of MLP Movie while having elements of Sonic Movie thrown in. There will also be a bit of new scenes and dialogue to go along with this story so keep that in mind)

Canterlot Above the lifeless look of the beautiful Canterlot city are two blurs that were moving at incredible speeds, one Blue and the other being a mix of White and Black, shots appear from the Black and white trail as it tries to hit the Blue trail causing explosions to happen.
The Storm King is flying with his staff trying to hit the Blue Blur who is the blue hedgehog himself Sonic who is running for his life but then everything freezes.
‘So I know what you´re thinking. Why is that incredibly handsome, Hedgehog being chased by a yeti with a staff who belongs in the police K9 dogs?, well to be honest it feels like I´ve been running my whole life. Is this to much? Am I going too fast? It´s kinda what I do, you know what let´s back up. (Rewind sounds).´
A series of different scenes show the Blue Hedgehog and some Ponies together before everything changes to...
Castle of The Two Sisters: 1003 years and 3 months ago
Inside of the castle are Two Alicorns, a bunch of guards and a baby Blue Hedgehog. Everything seemed to be normal until Celestia awoke from her slumber with sweat covering the bed, she looked around and saw the little Blue Hedgehog tucked next to her.
She smiled slightly before Luna came into the room sensing something was wrong. “Tia what happened?” Celestia got off her bed walked towards her balcony and looked up at the moon that shined brightly.
“Sister, it seems that our friend Discord has gone rogue.” Celestia explained with sadness in her voice.
“How could this have come to fruition?” Celestia shook her head and looked back into her sister's eyes.
“It seems his chaos magic has consumed him, and corrupted his mind.” she inquired, Luna was starting to stress.
“What should we do?!” Luna asked in desperation, Celestia closed her eyes to hide her pained glimpse.
“We are going to stop Discord, but first we have to do something that I never wanted to ever do.” Luna raised a brow at this and noticed her sister dawning her eyes on the sleeping Blue Hedgehog.
“Sister, what are you doing?” Luna polled with concern, Celestia sighed heavily before meeting her sister's eyes once more.
“We have to send Sonic away from our world.” Luna´s eyes widened with shock, they were going to have to remove Sonic from their home that isn’t fair on him.
“Why must we do such a heinous act, he´s only an infant!?” Luna stressed with fear growing inside of her. Celestia sighed again.
“Because if we don´t Discord will take his power and not only will he become impossible to stop, but it´ll kill Sonic in the process.” Celestia explained Luna realized her sister was right they have to do this in order to prevent disaster from happening.
“So where do we send him?” Luna asked solemnly, to which Celestia responded.
“I know of an old friend who could care for him until we stop Discord.” Celestia inquired, Luna still felt sad but agreed with her sister.
After a few minutes of preparation, Celestia sent a letter to this old friend of hers and she waited patiently with her sister hoping they would arrive soon. Their patience was satisfied when a portal shaped as a ring appeared in front of them, and out of it came a large owl who now stood in front of the two royals.
“Hello, Celestia.” The owl spoke.
“Welcome back Longclaw.” Celestia responded, they both exchanged a brief hug before readjusting themselves.
“What do you need me for?” Longclaw asked, Celestia quickly explained the situation before floating Sonic into the Owl´s wings.
“Please take care of him for us until we stopped Discord.” Celestia requested, Longclaw nodded and hugged both of the royals one last time before leaving through the portal.
It disappeared and both Celestia and Luna turned to face each other before they walked away to go and stop Discord. They walked past a window before facing it at the same time with one thought in Celestia´s mind.
‘This place my friends is Equestria, a land of magic, friendship and so many species that would be considered fiction. But as you can see they are real enough for me.’
‘But the place we see now is known as Ponyville, only the best place to live in all of the universe! Heck, the reason I love this town so much is because of the people or ponies in this case.’
‘They gave me so much inspiration a lot more than the donut lord who was pretty cool. Oh that’s right before I came here, I lived on Earth for ten years because of the Echidna tribe finding me and Longclaw.’
Flashback
Random Planet: 13 years ago
Longclaw is holding Sonic trying to fly away and escape but gets hit by an arrow to the side of her body, she then falls down to the ground while still protecting the Blue Hedgehog. They quickly got up back to their feet.
“Listen carefully Sonic. You have a power, unlike anything I’ve ever seen. But that means that someone will always want it.” Sonic looked down in sadness.
“The only way to stay safe is to stay hidden.” She then grabbed a ring from her pouch and threw it causing a portal to open up into a forest.
“This world is on the far side of the universe, you should be safe there.” Longclaw panted heavily, Sonic realised he was going by himself.
“I don’t wanna go without you!” He opposed
“You must!” Longclaw gave the pouch of rings to Sonic.
“These rings will be your most important possession.” She explained, before looking up to see the Echidnas running towards them weapons at the ready.
“If you’re ever discovered use one.” She then pushed Sonic softly toward the portal. “Never stop running! Now go!” Sonic ran through and made some distance before looking back to see Longclaw gets ready to fight the tribe.
“Longclaw!” He dropped the pouch and began running back for her. “Goodbye Sonic.” She spoke one last time looking at him before facing the tribe.
“No!” Sonic screamed almost reaching the portal before it disappeared. “NO!” He slowed down and breathed heavily before silently crying to himself, he returned back to his rings and began walking slowly away from the area.

‘Ever since that day I had to navigate Earth, it was fun for a while but afterwards I was getting really, really bored and lonely until something happened.’
Flashback #2
Earth: 3 years ago
Sonic was walking back into his cave with a sad look plastered all over, he sat down and began rubbing his quills until he felt something he grabbed hold of the object.
‘It was a white feather of sorts, I didn’t understand where it came from but somehow it was there, but then something in my mind snapped.’
Sonic then fell over with his knees and hands being placed onto the ground, he held his hand onto his head trying to ease the sudden pain. He then saw something so bizarre, it appeared to be a white horse of sorts from what he could tell, it was blurry and he couldn’t make out the figure.
But then everything cleared and he saw the Figure a lot more clearer. She had a flowing rainbow sort of mane along with wings, a horn, golden footwear, a golden chest plate and a Sun symbol on her flank.
Sonic then saw a flash of images appear at a rapid pace before he was then pulled back into reality comprehending what he had just witnessed, but he could only mutter one word. “Mom.”
‘I somehow remembered my supposed mom and began to plan, I knew going against Longclaw’s instructions was bad but I really badly wanted to see my mom.’
‘After finally getting ready, I just thought of the world my mom lived in, after throwing the ring I ended up in another Forest and began searching for where she could be.’
End Flashback
Ponyville ‘Three years later and I have figured out where she is but, I don’t want to cause a ruckus with the guard and considering the fact there are bad guys who steal power I decided to stay in hiding for now. But it hasn´t stopped me from finding some cool ponies, which leads me to my favourite group.’
The towns folk are all going about their lives being normal. We are then shown The Mane six and Spike at the Train Station.
´I like to call them the “Rainbow Ponies” simply because they all are different colors go figure, heck they even have a small dragon which makes them even cooler. I even gave them their own names, First is “Fashionista” or the “Drama Queen”... it goes either way. She loves to make clothes and dresses but at some points, she gets dramatic when her hair or clothes get ruined.´
Rarity is seen making sure her Mane was done right by holding a mirror up to her face.
´Next we have the “Animal carer”, she loves all kinds of animals and protects them with her very life a lot of the time, but she is also very scared of lot´s of things if she wasn´t I would´ve immediately gone to her. Next is “Cotton Candy Pony”, she is really hyperactive and funny but I have the slightest suspicion she knows I´m here because she looked in my direction and smiled at me, she can also pull stuff out of her fluffy hair.´
Fluttershy is talking with Applejack while Pinkie just waves at... Wait hold on a second did she just wave at me. Huh? Guess it is impossible to write a story without her breaking the 4th wall.
´Next we have “cowgirl” (How Original) who lives on a farm of apples, she wears this really cool looking hat and loves her family so much, I´ve taken a few apples off one of her trees a while back and she´s still to this day wondering who took them. We then have “Skittles” who can fly extremely fast and make this thing called a Sonic Rainboom from what I´ve heard, kind of makes me want to race her someday.´
Applejack is talking to Fluttershy about some critter that took some apples a few years back, while Rainbow Dash floats above the group minding her own business.
´Next we have “scales”, who is the dragon I mentioned earlier he can do many things like breathe fire and um... breathe fire. But he also can carry tons of books and he really loves comics, with his favorite being Power Ponies and the Secret Rings, which i´ve read as well. Finally we have my favorite member of them all who I´ve dubbed as “The Book Master”. She is nice, caring and overall is the one I relate to the most.´
Spike is holding a checklist with a quill in hand, while Twilight is seen counting the items she brought with her, they then hop aboard the train with everything they brought in tow. Twilight looks out the window and sighs.
‘She feels very alone at times and wishes she can be a normal Unicorn again, which makes me want to just hug her already. But even though I’m supposed to be in hiding, I do send her secret letters to try and make her happy, so that way she won’t have to feel alone.’
She then grabs out a note she had in her saddlebag with magic which read ´Don´t give up, cause the future is brighter ahead.´ She smiles and puts it away in her saddlebag once more with a thought lingering on in her head. ´I really hope I can meet whoever is sending these notes.´
Random Places
‘As for me I’ve been living in a cave next to this stream that’s right below the city of Canterlot, the reason I live down here is that I’ll always know that my mom is up there, and it’s the only place that feels closest to home.’
Sonic sleeps in his bed of random items.
‘Even with everything happening, I know for sure one day I’ll be able to walk amongst the citizens of this land but for now, it’ll be just the same routine of checking out the place alone… Oh yeah I forgot to mention, that there is one Pony onto me her name is Lyra or in this case “Crazy Lyra”.’
Lyra in another part of the train is talking to her friend Bon Bon about this creature that she saw with excitement in her voice while Bon Bon rolls her eyes with a ´Here we go again´ face.
‘She’s been going nuts over me, ever since I accidentally revealed my eyes to her once behind some bushes. She even gave me a nickname called the “Blue Devil” but as far as I know, no one believes her which makes me feel bad but Y’know the rules by now.’
Sonic then wakes up and stretches his arms cracking them into place. He walks out of his cave ready to begin the new day ahead of him, he breathes in deeply before exhaling and smiling at the slow rising of the sun. “Canterlot! Here comes Sonic!”
He then zooms off towards the city of Canterlot ready for what awaits him today.
Twilight was still deep in thought about the event that was happening. She was hosting the first ever Friendship Festival, all the way up in Canterlot she was very stressed but tried to remain as calm as possible.
She looked over at her friends, she’s known them for three years but it feels like they’ve been friends ever since they were fillies. At least that’s how Twilight feels, she always knew they would be by her side until the day they died.
But today she felt so empty like something or somepony was missing, she had Spike, her friends, a brother, sister and Nephew, even a mentor who was the goddess of the sun as well as her parents.
But still, she felt incomplete. She was so lost in thought she didn’t notice everybody was looking her way, noticing the lost expression plastered on her face.
Spike then gave her a light nudge to the side of her body, which pulled her back into reality. “Twilight are you okay?” Spike asked with slight worry, she turned to face her Assistant who carried a face of uneasiness.
She then noticed her friends also facing her with same expression that Spike held. “It’s nothing Spike just a little bit of Emptiness that I feel.” Spike stared curiously wondering what she could’ve meant.
“Did ya leave, anything behind?” Applejack spoke up, to which Twilight shook her head. “No, no. Not anything like that, it’s just I feel like I’m missing somepony.” She explained with an unreadable face.
Rarity raised a brow at the reply. “Whatever do you mean darling? Everypony is accounted for from what I can see.” She gestured to everyone else with her hoof getting nods in agreement from the others.
Twilight’s head perked up. “That’s just it! I know Everypony is here, but I feel like we’re missing Somepony even though we’re all here.” She exclaimed with doubt clouding her inner thoughts
‘I sound so ridiculous, why would there be Somepony missing if I don’t even know who?’ She scolded herself.
“Maybe you’ll find out in a later Chapter!” Pinkie exclaimed, making everyone tilt their heads in confusion to which Pinkie raised a brow with optimism.
“What? I might as well add something to the conversation that’ll go silent throughout the rest of the ride.” Pinkie complained before eating a random cupcake she pulled from her mane.
Twilight sighed, “Maybe pinkie’s right. Who knows maybe it might be a creature we haven’t met yet from the different species, or another Pony.” The others nodded in agreement, with Rainbow Dash closing the conversation.
“Don’t worry about it, Twilight just know we’re all here together right now for this big event you’re holding. Cause in my opinion, after the Festival we’ll help you figure who’s “Missing” and everything will go smooth sailing from their!” She declared, with the others openly agreeing.
Twilight couldn’t help but smile. “Thank you girls and Spike.” They had a quick hug before sitting back down in their respective seats, Twilight was a little more optimistic now she’ll figure out something.
‘Rainbow Dash is right, we’ll figure it out after the Festival. If it goes off without a hitch.’ She then relaxed back into her seat and began conversing, with Spike and the others catching up on their lives, with her previous thoughts being pushed to the back of her mind for the remainder of the ride.
Canterlot
Just on the outer borders of Canterlot a Blue trail, which quickly traversed the terrain and went through the entrance of the city, it moved through the streets a little bit not being noticed by the residents due to it moving to quick.
It arrived on top of a tall building and dissipated, leaving nothing but a Blue Hedgehog to stand there and watch the scenery, he took notice of all the Ponies ranging from Nobles to your Normal pony you would see down the street.
He loved it so much but restrained himself from just popping up, he also knew to not get to close to the castle because of the guards who would raise alarm of his presence.
But even he was aware that they wouldn’t be able to do much against him since in his words they quote. ‘Are just as bad as Stormtroopers trying to hit their target.’
In the corner of his eyes he caught sight of The Friendship Express, that was pulling up to the station with its whistle announcing its arrival to those nearby.
Sonic moved from the top of the building and got a bit closer to see, he arrived on top of the border wall (which thankfully didn’t have any guards) and watched in anticipation of who might arrive.
After it stopped and blew out its initial steam, the passengers were released from the transport.
Sonic gasped as a wide smile crossed his face, he saw The (Rainbow Ponies) Mane six and Spike hop off the train, along with almost all of the residents of Ponyville doing so as well with familiar faces such as Starlight, Trixie, Dj Pon 3, Lyra, Bon Bon, the CMC, Derpy and so on and so forth.
Sonic was on the verge of having a heart attack from seeing so many of the familiar faces, which he´s given nicknames to... (Let´s be clear I don´t want to suffer, trying to find perfect nicknames.)
He brought his attention back to the Mane six and Spike who had gotten all of their belongings, they began moving towards the entrance, with optimism high in the air exposing itself to the warmth of the sun, which burned brighter.
Sonic moved down from the wall and traveled up top another building closer to the Mane six and Spike, he could hear the voices of them much clearer from here and caught wind of this “Big Event” that was happening tomorrow.
He got even more excited by pumping his fist into the air in celebration, this could be his chance to finally reveal himself to the world and maybe finally meet his mom up close.
He then noticed Twilight stopped moving and tense up, Sonic got nervous believing he may have just caused noise to let her know of his position, with that he dashed away not wanting to see what would happen.
But now he was glad that he could finally have a chance to reveal himself to the world and finally reunite with his mom once more, but before he could indulge further into the pleasant thought his ears perked up to a sudden sound of cheering to which he changed course, and departed towards the source of the noise.
Canterlot: Minutes Earlier
The Friendship Express had finally arrived at Canterlot after only a few hours of traveling, it seemed every year since it was built it slowly got faster at arriving to its destination, Twilight and her friends all stood up and began to head out of the doors that lead to the outside world.
After making it out they proceeded over to the Stallion, who was pulling out the luggage that belonged to everyone on the train, he muttered something about ´crashing onto his bed once today was over.´
A few minutes went by and the Mane six and Spike got everything they brought from the Stallion, they proceeded through the entrance of Canterlot, the group were chatting up a storm about plans they had for the Festival which brought a smile to Twilight´s muzzle, but then she stopped moving all of a sudden and tensed her back feeling like she was being watched, she then heard the wind blow from somewhere above and quickly darted her eyes toward the noise.
Only to see nothing up on top of the building, she swore that something was there watching her but when she felt that presence it wasn´t that of Malice, hate or jealousy it was excitement and hope.
She then heard her friends call her name and advanced forward to catch up, not before giving one last glance at the building´s roof.
She caught up with her friends who looked at her with puzzled looks, Twilight took notice of their stares feeling nervous as each second passed.
“Twilight is there something you want to tell us about?” Fluttershy spoke up, breaking the silence.
Twilight stared for a few moments before replying with a shake of her head.
“N-no, it's nothing to worry about.” she reassured them, to which they respected her wishes and didn´t try to pressure her.
Twilight focused her attention back to in front of her as she and her friends made their way towards the giant castle, that loomed over them sending shivers down their spines even though they´ve been here before multiple times before, just the way the castle stood there towering over them was enough to make look on in awe and amazement that something this big was built.
Canterlot Baseball Field
Sonic managed to find the source of the noise which turned out to be a bunch of fillies and foals playing baseball, he peeked out from behind a tree that he was hiding behind for cover.
“Woah! The playoffs!” He whispered to himself with interest and awe, he saw a foal throw the ball at the filly holding the bat who swung it successfully hitting the ball and knocking out of the field getting a home run, with cheers rising from audience.
Sonic quickly dashed under the bleachers before anyone could see him, and continued to watch in awe and saw the filly run around the field, with a smile and began high hoofing the coach followed by the rest of the players on her team, Sonic saw this and really badly wanted to do that.
The filly got picked up by her whole team receiving high hoof after high hoof with smiles dawned on all of their faces.
Sonic smiled looking at a group of young ponies imagining himself alongside them. He really badly wanted to try the game himself but knew he had to wait patiently.
Hours after the victory, everyone left to go home and prepare for tomorrow´s big event.
Sonic on the other hand stayed and waited till there was no one in sight, he turned on all of the lights on the field and walked out still in awe of the sight.
“Whoa! So cool!” He whispered in amazement, he then drifted his eyes towards the equipment that was left on the field just waiting to be used by its next Players or in this case Player.
Canterlot Baseball Field: A Few Minutes Later
A bat tapped the home base which was being held by Sonic who raised it up and began to talk to himself.
“Bottom of the ninth, tie score. And exactly who you want at the plate with the game on the line--Sonic!” He then rushed over to where the Pitcher would be while swinging his arm with the ball in hand in circles with a glove on his other hand.
“But staring him down from the pitcher's mound is the most fearsome southpaw in Canterlot--also Sonic!” He returned back to the Home Base with the bat back in his hands.
“Okay. Focus, Sonic. If you win this game, you'll be the most beloved kid in Canterlot.” He swung the bat in a circle before returning to his normal position, he then dashed away again to Infielder position.
He then does a secret code with his fingers, straightens his cap, slaps his face a few times, does a couple of armpit farts, flaps his hands and cups them against his mouth.
“Hit to the guy on the left! He’s a real space case.” He then moves to the Left Fielder position blowing some bubblegum before returning to the pitcher position.
“Ugh, I can’t with that guy.” He whined to himself.
He then becomes the Umpire while making hand gestures. “Hey, batter Sonic. Hey, batter Sonic. "Suh-wing," batter Sonic.”
He then returns to the Pitcher position and throws the ball towards the batter, to which he becomes and swings the bat hitting the ball successfully.
The Outfielder Sonic is smelling a flower when he sees the ball coming towards him. “I got it, I got it, I got it!” He then misses. “I don’t got it.” He spoke with disappointment.
Batter Sonic then drops the bat and begins running and gets to the first base about to make it to the second base, to which Outfielder Sonic throws the ball at him and misses barley as Batter Sonic doges it and passes the second base.
He then runs towards the third base as he sees a teammate which is just him yelling. “Go Home! Go Home!” He then rounds the third base to which Umpire Sonic smacks his fist into his glove.
“Come on!” Batter Sonic then dives for the home base just as the ball passes him, Umpire Sonic catches the ball which is followed by Batter Sonic sliding across the Home Base as Umpire Sonic puts his glove down onto the base just missing his chance.
“Safe!” Umpire Sonic called. To which Sonic jumped up in victory after sliding on the ground.
“Ah, yes! Yes, yes, yes! I did it! Did you see that? I did it! I did it.” he looked to the right and saw no one. He then slowly looked left and yet again saw no one in sight.
He then looked down and whispered in a depressed voice. “I really am alone. All alone… forever.” He pulled the helmet off his head and began running around the field in circles.
He felt tears on his face but it didn’t stop him from slowing down he progressively got faster and faster, with anger slowly crawling across his face.
Blue Lightning started producing on his quills making its way over his body, the dirt began going deeper as he kept going. His speed kept going up and up with him panting heavily before screaming in anguish and pain.
“AHHHHHH!!!” A bright blue electromagnetic pulse explodes in the air, causing the lights in the baseball field to explode. The brilliant pulse blooms outwards and spreads across Canterlot. Several cities and Towns across Equestria black out, plunging into darkness.
Sonic stood there mouth dropped at what just happened. “I’m pretty sure no one saw that giant Blue explosion, right?” He then zoomed off back to his home hopefully to hide away from anyone coming by to check what had just happened.
Canterlot Castle
To say that everything was in chaos would be an understatement everyone had been shaken up from the explosion, that had just occurred the Mane six, Spike and other Ponies inside of the castle appeared in the throne room which had very limited light.
Celestia, Luna and Cadance were all up the front with everyone else trying to get their heads wrapped around the situation.
“Calm down my little ponies! We know that you´re all wondering what has just happend, but fear not as the Royal Guard have already gone to investigate the disturbance. As for the rest of you I suggest getting some sleep for tomorrow!”Celestia called, to which everyone listened and followed the instructions.
Twilight made it back to her room with Spike who collapsed onto his bed immediately and was out cold, meanwhile Twilight hopped into the comfy confinements of her bed, with all sorts of thoughts appearing in her head.
But she chose to ignore them for now and focus on getting some sleep, she had an idea to tell the princesses about in the morning.
But that wouldn´t get here sooner if she continued to listen to her plagued thoughts. She finally closed her eyes and dozed off into the realms of sleep but not before having a last minute thought.
´I really hope everything goes right, cause it would be a disaster if anything went wrong.´ she finally blacked out and began snoring softly into the night.
???: Hours Away from Canterlot
Somewhere away from Canterlot there were airships hovering above the land heading towards Canterlot at a rather slow pace, but something happend a shockwave of sorts hit it.
The airships deactivated for a second before reactivating once more, Inside of the Biggest airship there stood a shadow that walked toward someone sitting on a chair the figure having sparks of light accumulate off her head.
it then stopped before speaking in a low, threatening, female voice. “We´ve sensed a massive energy spike from the capital of Canterlot. What should we do?”
The figure sitting in the chair held his staff tight before speaking in an equal voice to the former being. “Let us quicken our pace... I suspect that whatever caused that Energy spike will be the source to my victory.” He chuckled evilly.
The shadowy figure nodded slowly before making their way out of the room, she made her way towards a room with a small black Antrho hedgehog who was piloting the ship. “Orders, General.” He asked with slight fear.
The figure stood in the shadows looking at the Small Hedgehog, “Make haste to Canterlot. Something interesting has come to fruition.” she began to chuckle evilly as she left the room with the doors closing behind her as she left leaving a dead atmosphere to take over the echoey ambiance that filled the room.
The morning sun shines brightly for a new day has begun, a group Pegasi start flying around above the clouds and dive down close to the ground before spreading their wings, they flew above many Ponies that were walking towards Canterlot.
They then launch themselves up which reveals the big city of Canterlot, they do some cool air tricks before continuing to fly above.
Other ponies have filled up the streets of Canterlot, from the entrance all the way up to the castle. A group of Ponies are setting up a table with food when all of a sudden Spike drops down from nowhere, (Seriously where did he come from) and lands on the jello before landing on the ground with Scrolls in his hands.
“Scuse me! Dragon on the move! Important princess documents, comin´ through!” He called to the other ponies who watched in shock at his sudden appearance.
He ran past two Earth Pony's who were talking to one another. “Wow! Everypony from Manehatten to Saddle Arabia is here!”
“I know, filly! We almost couldn´t book a stable!” The other mare responded.
Other ponies were having fun talking to one another or playing the activities, two Pegasi who were flying began talking about Twilight.
“Princess Twilight must have her hooves full with this giant Festival!” To which other Pegasus flew up closer,
“Are you kidding?! She's smart and organized and cool under pressure! There's nothing she can't handle!” They both flew past four stained glass windows which showed the four Princesses, But unannounced to anyone there was a Princess behind one of the Stained Glass windows.
Canterlot Castle
Twilight was standing there with her wings flared with her crown on top of her head, as she tried to maintain composure by meditating.
“Ommmmm... Ohhhhhhh mmmmy goodness, I can't handle this! Ooh! Nothing is working! I just have to get it together! Just go in there! And ask! This is your Friendship Festival! Everypony's happiness rests in your hooves. Ohhhh!” she then facehoofed in worry that it´ll go wrong.
Spike then entered through the door, “Okay, Twilight. Got all your charts and graphs.”
Twilight calmed down a little bit. “Oh, thank goodness your here, Spike! I’m just so nervous about this meeting!” She exclaimed with her eyes getting smaller.
Spike looked up at her with a look. “Whachoo talkin’ ‘bout?”
Twilight sighed as she turned to face the opposite direction. “I’m about to ask the three most royal princesses of Equestria for a huge favour! What if they reject me?”
Spike tried to reassure her. “It’ll be fine. Just remember the most important thing.”
Twilight then turned to face him with the widest and creepiest smile he had ever seen from her.
“Smile?!” She exclaimed, to which spike looked at her deadpanned.
“Eh… no. You’re a Princess too.” He explained, causing Twilight to stop smiling.
“Right!” She then exhales before opening the doors to the throne room, which revealed the three princesses. The first being Celestia who had White fur, a flowing rainbow-y mane and a crown to boot.
On her right was Luna who was smaller than her sister, she had black fur, a Dark Blue flowing mane and a black crown.
Then on the left was Cadence who had pink fur, a Pink, yellow and purple mane and a tiara that sat on her head.
“Good morning, Princesses. Thank you all for seeing me. I have an idea that I think will make our Friendship Festival the most wonderful celebration Equestria has ever seen!” Twilight greeted, while holding her composure.
Celestia spoke up. “Yes Twilight! We are very excited!”
“Ponies have been arriving from all over all morning.” Cadence explained.
“I’d like to think it’s to see us, but Songbird Serenade might be the bigger attraction.” Luna inquired.
“Yes she is the… “mane” event!” She giggled before resuming.
“And to make it extra special, I could use your help. Spike?” She called for her assistant, who pulled a whiteboard from nowhere.
She began to explain in full detail. “Songbird Serenade's performance is not scheduled to start until after you begin the sunset. And based on my precise calculation, to get the very best lighting for the stage, Princess Celestia, I was hoping you could make sure the sun stays about 28.1º to the south, and, Princess Luna, if you could raise the moon 62º to the north at the same time, it would reflect the sunlight on the other side and really frame the entire stage perfectly!”
The other Princesses stared in confusion not being to able to comprehend the whole idea. “I…” Luna was cut off by Twilight.
“But wait! There's more! Cadance, if you could use your crystal magic to create an aurora above the stage, the sun and the moon will shine through it and create a truly amazing light show!” She looked up to see Spike hand send glitter up into the air, before holding a Songbird Serenade cut out on a stick.
“Presenting Songbird Serenade! Yeah, yeah, yeah! Whoa-ho! Whoa!” Spike hopped up onto the Whiteboard before falling off and landing on the ground.
“Ta-da.” He spoke weakly.
“So you're saying you want us to move the sun and the moon for the party.” Luna asked deadpanned.
Twilight looked nervous. “Well, I'd do it myself, except I don't have your magic.”
They then walked up to Twilight with smiles. “Twilight, each of us uses our powers to serve Equestria in our own way. You are the Princess of Friendship. You already have all the magic you need.” Celestia explained.
Twilight looked up at them with disappointment. “So… that’d be a no?”
Below Canterlot
Sonic woke up from his uncomfortable sleep, still upset about what happened last night on the baseball field. “Ugh… I can’t believe I did that last night, I’m so stupid!” His ears perked up at something of what appeared to be the sound of whooshing.
He walked out of his cave rubbing his eyes and looked up at Canterlot to see a Rainbow trail going about the place, letting him know that the “Big Event.” Has begun.
“Oh no! I slept in!” He turned back into his cave and came back out wearing a Hat, that covered both his quills and ears, with a Shirt that was red and went down to his legs. “Okay… ooh almost forgot these!” He then put on some sunglasses before dashing off towards Canterlot. ‘Today’s the day I finally… or hopefully meet Mom.’ His smile grew wider as he began getting closer to the city.
Canterlot
“Yes!” Rainbow Dash blitz across the sky clearing the clouds. “Sky’s cleared and ready for the festival!”
She began zooming around doing whatever she needed to do. Pinkie was currently blowing up some balloon animals, with her current balloon being an orange one.
The balloon then went thin as she started tying it around until it turned into Discord, which then lost all air and sent pinkie backwards.
Fluttershy was seen with a choir of birds, with one of them being Angel in a bird costume. The balloon suddenly went by startling Fluttershy, Pinkie then jumped onto the stands the birds were on which made almost all of them fly away.
“Heads up, Fluttershy! Out of control balloooooon!!” Pinkie continued to hop on through and away from the area, a bird suddenly flew into Fluttershy’s head.
“Hoo. I don't think it's the balloon that's out of control, Pinkie Pie!” she commented, while having the bird perched on her hoof.
Applejack came in with a wagon attached to her with barrels being held. “Hey y’all!” She called as Pinkie dashed over her, holding the balloon.
“Anypony up for some free samples of my family’s apple cider?”Rainbow Dash perked her head up and zoomed over.
“Thank you! Loved it!” She took the cup and brought it back into Applejacks hoof who looked down in shock too see it all gone.
Rarity was putting a small diamond on a pink ribbon directly in the center with her magic, Applejack came over unbuckled from the wagon.
“Wow, Rarity. It's a fine job you're doin' there. 'Course it might not get done 'til after the concert.” Applejack expressed pointing out how much there was left to do.
“Applejack, darling, anypony can do "fine". Twilight asked me, so clearly, she's going for fabulous, and fabulous takes time.” Rarity explained confidently.
Rainbow Dash then flew down. “Fabulous takes forever! But "awesome”… (she proceeded to do all of it really quick, even tying up Fluttershy in the process.) …can get done in four seconds flat! Faster if I do my sonic rainboom!” She exclaimed ready to so.
“Aah! Nono, oh no! Don't you dare, Rainbow Dash! It looks wretched enough already.” She explained pointing out how messy each one looked.
“Oh come on, it’s fine!” Rainbow Dash said flatly.
“If you were raised in a barn! Ahem, no offense, Applejack.” Rarity quickly apologised.
“None taken. Especially since I wasn't raised in a barn. My family just happens to have a barn. Where I was born. And... spent most of my formative years...” she then realized she was technically raised in a barn when Rainbow Dash came down for another cup of cider.
“Raised in a barn!” They then heard Twilight talking as she was ticking off a checklist, with Spike following in tow. “Hey, Twilight!” They all welcomed her in unison.
“Hello, Spike.” Rarity greeted causing the Lavender dragon to blush.
“Uh, hi, Rarity. Heh heh.” he chuckled nervously.
“How'd it go with the other Princesses? They like your idea?” Applejack asked with curiosity, Pinkie hopped after the balloon she had been chasing.
“I bet they loved it!” Pinkie yelled with enthusiasm.
Twilight sighed in disappointment. “Not exactly. They think I can make today perfect without their magic.” Rarity turned to face her friend after fixing one of the decorations.
“And they are absolutely right, darling. This festival is your brilliant idea and we know you're up to the task!” She told Twilight who began to hyperventilate.
“But what if I'm not?! What if Songbird Serenade hates the stage?! Or nopony makes a new friend?! And if I fail at the festival, then who am I?!” Pinkie dropped the caught balloon and grabbed Twilight´s face with her forehooves.
“Twilight, look at me! This will be the biggest celebration Equestria has ever seen! As the Princess of Friendship, you cannot fail! This day will define who you are! The pressure is intense! It's almost too much for any single pony to handle!” Pinkie screamed into the heavens making everyone nearby look at her.
She then jumped back to the others. “But you have us! So stop worrying.” The ribbons around Fluttershy fell down, as a balloon popped along with Rainbow Dash burping from the cider she had consumed earlier.
Twilight smiled Awkwardly before Applejack pulled her up.
Applejack: It's time to show 'em what you've got
Applejack dusts Twilight’s chest, to which her crown tilts
Rarity: It's time to go and get things done
Rarity walks over and levitates Twilight’s crown back onto her head properly
Fluttershy: But you don't have to do it on your own
Fluttershy walks over as Rainbow Dash lands opposite of her position
Pinkie Pie: 'Cause you've got friends right here to make it fun
Pinkie pops up out of nowhere and pulls them all into a group hug

They get squeezed tighter into the hug

Rainbow Dash flies off the ground and grabs Twilight by the hoof taking her and Spike up into the sky

Twilight, Spike and Rainbow Dash are flying together, then Rainbow Dash flies upwards poking a hole into the cloud which let’s the sun beam down on Twilight and Spike who fly up to where Rainbow Dash is

Rainbow Dash grabs Twilight’s mouth and makes her smile to which the Wonderbolts come out from below and make the clouds disappear

She then places her hooves down onto the water before launching herself upwards back to Canterlot

Pinkie is seen riding on a unicycle which has two whisks attached to the bottom of it, mixing some white substance in a massive bowl

She is also wearing a Headband, four hoofbands and one tail band while sweating heavily
Oh, wait! There's something better we can do
Trixie lights some fireworks which go off (Also Starlight is there)
We're gonna need some more supplies
Pinkie then pulls a wagon with all sorts of items past some other ponies
To make a really big surprise
She then passes Cheese Sandwich who is working on something, he turns around and sees a ginormous pile of items
She'll be so shocked, she's sure to love it, too!
Gummy drops a wrench from his mouth, while Pinkie jumps onto her small wagon which launches everything onto the pile before she put on some goggles. She then starts building something and even throws a wooden plank at the pile and even one towards- OW! God Damn it Pinkie!

She then picks up Gummy with her forehooves

She then pulls Gummy closer with one hoof while pointing somewhere randomly with the other. then three wonderbolts pass by and get rid of another cloud

A crowd of Ponies trot towards the stage from the right swinging their heads left and right

They continued forward where the Wonderbolts and Derpy came together to put hooves together with Derpy falling down

The Mane six are seen coming out of a line which then had Twilight stand on her Hindhooves spreading her wings. A giant cannon appears behind her and aims up into the sky, before firing.

It was a giant cake that went high up above, which casted a shadow over Twilight who gasped. The cake then landed covering Twilight until it all melted with Twilight still under it, gasps filled the other Ponies as they saw what happened.
Twilight poked her head out of the cake before looking back at the cannon. “Pinkie!” Yelled annoyed, to which a candle landed on her horn sticking perfectly alight.
Pinkie popped out of the cannon, “Oopsie! Guess my easy bake confetti cake cannon needs a little bit more fine tuning!” Pinkie yelled back, to which Twilight glares back at her friend before blowing out the candle with a groan. They then turned their heads towards some gasps, to see none other than Songbird Serenade, who approaches with two CIA Ponies following in tow.
“Hiya. I´m lookin´ for the Pony in charge?” She then does several poses as cameras flash all around her.
“I need to set up for my sound check.” She explained.
Twilight’s eyes widen. “Ms. Songbird Serenade? Um, I was just going to check on you. I'm Princess Twilight, and sorry about the mess. I'm usually not so...” She accidentally flicked some cake at Songbird which caused gasps to fill the air.
“Caked in Cake?” Songbird asked jokingly, to which Twilight laughed nervously. The CIA Ponies talked through their earpieces, afterwards the one on the left walked forward and wiped away the cake on Songbird’s shirt.
Twilight told Songbird where to go which led the crowd away, she decided to relax a little bit and told her friends to continue getting ready, which they went to do.
She started walking backwards before bumping into someone on accident, she turned to face the Pony to apologize only to be greeted by a strange sight.
Canterlot: Minutes Earlier
Sonic had made it into Canterlot successfully and although, he got the occasional strange look from bystanders no one seemed to mind his existence, he had been walking to where the event would be mainly held, but along the way he heard singing in fact a lot of different voices singing, but eventually it all quieted down to one voice that Sonic has heard multiple times before.
“The Book Master” He turned to face her direction and she quickly flew by before Sonic could react in time.
That was another thing he loved about this world, the singing. It was most of the time great and wonderful, which inspired him to try to do so as well.
He quickly made haste to the top and found a stage that was all set up and ready to go, he also noticed a ton of other ponies arriving here at the same time as he did.
They were also seeming to be finishing up the song to which he joined in, his singing ended up blending in really well with the huge crowd making him look less suspicious.
Once it finished, he heard the cannon being shot and looked up to see a big cake come crashing on top of Twilight, he winced a little bit from the impact but turned his attention to some gasps from the crowd, he then saw Songbird Serenade who he´s heard about all day leading up to this point.
He decided to split from the crowd and checkout the place, he turned around and looked on in awe, Canterlot had never looked so beautiful before.
“This is amazing.” He commented to himself, he turned his head to face the castle which shined brightly giving him more hope.
“I´ll be home soon Mom.” He whispered. Before he could take in more of the beauty he accidentally bumped into someone, but when he turned around to apologize he was greeted with an amazing sight.
Canterlot: Present
Twilight’s eyes fell upon a biped of sorts it was wearing a red shirt, a hat similar to Applejack’s and Sunglasses sitting there hiding its eyes, it was also only a little bit shorter than her, the both of them stared at each other for a few moments, before Twilight finally snapped from her daze and recuperated herself.
“I-i´m sorry stranger I didn´t mean to bump into you.” She apologized nervously, but to her surprise the stranger smiled back.
“Hey don’t worry about it, I should have watched where I was going. Cause in all honesty this place is a sight to behold.” He explained while also apologizing, Twilight nodded in agreement while Sonic chuckled.
“Anyway, my name is Twilight Sparkle the Princess of Friendship and I´m hosting The Friendship Festival. Who might you be?” She asked politely.
“My name´s “Ryan” but my friends either call me “Roger” or “Jason”, and I arrived here not too long ago for the Festival.” He lied somewhat, Twilight giggled at his introduction.
“Well “Ryan” i’m glad you could make it, so what do you plan to do here today.” She asked in curiosity, Sonic was geeking out so much right now he was talking to the one and only “Book Master” up close.
“Well i´m here because of the activities and being able to make friends with all sorts of ponies!” He exclaimed, wondering how the disguise is still working.
“Well this place has all of that! And I think you just met your first Pony friend!” She declared, causing Sonic to get excited.
“Who?” He asked, She giggled a little bit.
“Well-“ Before she could finish, the loud noise of Thunder made itself known catching everyone off guard, Twilight and Sonic looked up to see dark brown clouds appearing from nowhere.
´Something tells me, everything is about to go downhill.´ Sonic thought to himself before seeing Twilight walk over to her friends, to which Sonic followed closely behind.
The dark brown clouds continued to spread across the skies of Canterlot, casting a shadow over everything and everyone there, Twilight walked up to her friends frowning. “Storm clouds? I ordered perfect weather! Rainbow Dash?!” she glared at her friend who replied the best she could.
“Uh... I... don't think those are storm clouds.” The brown clouds continued to spread across Canterlot making everyone feel anxious, Sonic stared at the scene before he made a deadpanned face and looked both left and right.
“Okay who had Taco bell for breakfast.” He said to no one in particular, he then saw two lightning bolt symbols appear from the clouds, which then revealed a ship that loomed ominously above making its way across to a landing zone, a Foal and a Filly walked backwards to their mom to which she pushed them Gently behind her for protection.
Pinkie Then started jumping up and down “Ooh! I bet those are the clowns I ordered!” The ship stopped moving and began to descend crushing three spire thingies. (I don´t know what they are) Which fell down and crushed Pinkie´s balloon stand, sending a balloon animal forward and landing in front of the ship.
“...Or definitely not the clowns I ordered.” Pinkie spoke flatly, losing her optimism. The ship finally landed before opening a door which slammed down on top of the balloon animal causing gasps to fill the air,
“Brian, No!” A random pony yelled, Twilight glared up at the ship while Sonic looked worried he quickly thought back to the night before and realized he caused this to happen in the first place, making feel really guilty.
They then heard footsteps coming out from the entrance of the ship to reveal a small creature holding a black box with the same symbol on it, Celestia, Luna and Cadance all walked out from the castle with Celestia having a stern expression, Luna having a worried look and Cadance had one of confusion.
The creature revealed himself to be a small anthro Hedgehog with white hair going from the back of his head all the way down to his tail, after he put down the box which opened up to be a megaphone of sorts with the hedgehog holding a small speaker that was connected to the megaphone.
he walked forward a little bit after it finished being turned into the megaphone causing an evil grin to spread across his face, he then cleared his throat before starting his speech. “Ponieth of Equethtria, we come on behalf of the fearsome, the powerful, the almighty...Thtorm King!” Everyone stared at the hedgehog curious, until the banners went down revealing a yeti of sorts with black armor and the symbol on its chest it also has a set of horns on top of its head.
This caused a lot of the ponies to whisper amongst themselves in fear, Applejack walked forward with a glare while Fluttershy looked scared from everything that was happening, Twilight and Spike turned face each other with unease, Sonic walked up next to Spike making Twilight face him as well with unease but she noticed something about his stature, it gave of guilt and sorrow which made her wonder why He was feeling that way?
The small Hedgehog continued to speak snapping everyone´s attention back to him. “And now, to deliver the evil, evil methage, put your hooveth together for Commander Tempeeeetht!” He gestured his hand towards the ship, which revealed a unicorn who had dark purple fur, a red like mane, a battle suit and a broken horn with magic sparks flying out of it.
“Is that a... unicorn?” Twilight asked unsure, Spike then spoke up.
“I think so, but what happened to her horn?” He asked in confusion. The three other Princesses dropped down from the sky and landed in front of everyone there, Sonic froze at that moment there she was his mother right there standing tall for all to see.
Sonic wanted to just run on over but remembered he had to keep his disguise on, so hesitantly he didn´t move forward. “"Tempest" is it? How may we help you?” Celestia questioned while remaining on guard.
“Oh, I'm so glad you asked. How about we start with your complete and total surrender?” Tempest requested sternly her gaze boring onto the all of the Ponies, she even spotted a bipedal in the crowd right beside Twilight but kept quiet.
Twilight proceeded to walk out next to Cadence. “Hi there. Princess of Friendship. Not exactly sure what's going on, but I know we can talk things out.” She smiled forcefully, hoping that the situation would deescalate unfortunately that would be proven wrong.
“Oh, goody. All four Princesses.” Tempest sarcastically spoke before marching forward.
“Here's the deal, ladies. I need your magic. And whatever caused the blue explosion. Give it up nicely, please, or we make it difficult for everyone!” Her voice boomed across, Luna grew a scowl.
“And why should we cower before you? There's one of you and hundreds of us.” Luna retorted back, which caused Tempest to chuckle.
“I was hoping you'd choose "difficult".” From behind her two Storm creatures appeared, along with a bunch of airships arriving from behind the dark clouds, causing both Twilight and Cadence to gasp.
Just then more Storm creatures rained down from the sky and landed on the ground causing Ponies to run around screaming with fear.
All around more of them showed up, some climbed up from the sides others continued to drop from the sky.
Tempest´s horn lit up as she jumped high into the air, and kicked a ball of sorts at the Princesses, Cadence jumped in front of Celestia and casted a shield spell which held it in place, which ended up failing as it went through and hit her and exploded on impact.
“Cadence!” Celestia yelled.
“I can´t... stop it!” Cadence yelled back while trying to breathe.
This caused green smoke to come out and cover Cadence in stone, The princesses and Sonic watched in horror as she was turned into a statue unable to do anything, Tempest then bolted forward towards them still intended on completing the mission.
Celestia turned to Luna with a panicked face. “Luna, quick! Go south beyond the Badlands!” Luna nodded, not noticing Tempest doing a spin move and kick another Stone ball towards Celestia.
“Seek help from the Queen of the Hippo-“ She didn´t get to finish as she was hit by the stone ball and turned into a statue, Luna gasped in horror and quickly shot a Storm creature before trying to fly away.
Tempest kicked another Stone ball and nailed Luna in the back causing her to fall down through the roof of the stage, Twilight caught her statue before it could make impact with the ground, she struggled as all the stress was getting to her.
“Luna!” She cried trying to carefully place her down, Tempest chuckled before jumping up and kicking another Stone ball directly at Twilight.
Twilight saw it coming and could do nothing but watch in fear, but right before it hit her something grabbed her hoof and pulled her away.
Tempest walked over with Grubber chuckling believing she had caught her, “Easy as pie.” She commented.
Grubber walked up next to her whispering about how he loves pie. Once the smoke cleared it revealed a pony with a party hat, “Oh, you totally got the latht Printheth!” Grubber said with admiration, only for the party hat to fall to reveal it was Derpy who had been hit.
“That´s not the Princess!” She growled with her horn flaring, she then turned to face her Hedgehog friend.
“Grubber, get her now!” She ordered, to which Grubber ran off.
“Guyth, we gotta get the Princess!” Tempest then looked down at Twilight´s crown before crushing it with her hoof.
Canterlot: Meanwhile
Sonic kept on running with Twilight not going to fast to avoid his identity being revealed, but that didn’t matter right now to him all he could think about was what just happened.
Three of the four Princesses were turned to stone right in front of his eyes, one of them being his mom, Sonic almost couldn’t hold back the tears when that happened.
But he knew that if he wanted see her again he was going to need to protect “The Book Master” which he didn’t know if it would be possible.
He was so caught up in thought that Twilight’s voice caught him off guard. “”Ryan” what are you doing? You should be getting away from me!”
Sonic turned to face her with a worried look. “Listen I know that they are after you, but I couldn’t just let them capture you!” He retorted, to which Twilight silently agreed.
They then heard Applejack’s voice. “Over here y’all!” Sonic continued to hold Twilight’s hoof, as they dodged a few Storm creatures trying to nab them.
“Come on!” Twilight yelled to her friends who ran across the bridge with Spike riding Fluttershy, Sonic let go of Twilight’s hoof to which they continued running.
“Who are you!?” Rainbow Dash asked, to which Sonic faced her with his Sunglasses off his face revealing his eyes.
“Why would you ask that now of all times?!” Sonic questioned, they kept running forward until two Storm creatures landed in front of them with shields and weapons at the ready.
The group stopped running, as Twilight tried to blast them only for her shot to bounce back and hit their position, causing the bridge to break and send all of them down to the water below screaming.
Sonic’s hat flew off his head, revealing who he was but no one had time to talk as they hit the water and were carried down the stream struggling to swim, they then went over the waterfall screaming all the way down and disappearing from sight.
Grubber and two Storm creatures came to the edge of the cliff looking down at where they fell.
“Which one of you guyth ith goin' down there?” he asked getting a growl in return.
“I would, but I jutht had a hearty meal, and I will think and I will thide-cramp. I'm very big-boned. I think quick.” They walked away not knowing that the group had survived the fall.
Below Canterlot
Twilight’s vision was blurry she couldn’t make out what was happening or where she was, her eyes continued to readjust until everything became clear.
She looked around to her friends all around her starting to wake up, she looked to her right and saw a stream of water, to which she slowly got to her hooves.
Her friends slowly got up from the ground, all finally able to see normally again, Applejack even found her hat right next to her to which she put it on.
The group finally got their bearings before Fluttershy spoke up. “Um, how did we get here?” She pointed at the spot they were all sleeping, which caused the others to think about it.
Twilight then noticed someone was missing. “Hey where’s “Ryan”!” She blurted out, while looking around, the others looked at her with raised brows.
“Uh… who?” Spike asked, they then heard whistling of a tune that came from a cave opening which the group had just noticed.
They tensed up as it became louder and closer, they then saw a shadow coming from the cave, which revealed a big Blue Hedgehog, who sung to himself with his eyes closed with a pouch in his left hand and a gold ring in his right hand.
”This is my escape I’m running through this worl-“ He stopped mid sentence as he opened his eyes to see Mane six and Spike look at him with wide eyes.
Sonic also stared wide eyed with his mouth dropped slightly he then thought of only one response.
“Uhh… meow?” The Mane six and Spike scream in terror as does Sonic before he’s quickly shot with magic from Twilight which makes him drowsy.
“Ow!” He then looked up at the invaded city.
“Canterlot?” He muttered.
He then dropped the ring which everyone watched with curiosity as it traveled forward until it turned into a portal, making everyone jump back in surprise.
Sonic then fell forward as his pouch fell through the portal and onto the balcony of Canterlot Castle, the portal began closing as Sonic made a desperate attempt at trying to get his rings.
He then collapsed onto the floor asleep, the Mane six and Spike could only stare before muttering one word in unison. “What…?”
Sonic’s eyes began to slowly open, everything felt foggy as he couldn’t remember what had just happened before he fell asleep, his vision became a bit better and he was even able to stand.
When he did he saw the group of Ponies and Dragon together facing away from him, he slowly felt more normal as he started to fully come out of his drowsiness.
The Ponies and Dragon turned to face him only to jump back in surprise, “Rainbow Ponies?”
“It can talk. You’re not… you’re not here to attack us, are you?” Twilight spoke with caution.
“You attacked me!” Sonic retorted, making the group lose their cautious looks.
“Okay, that’s a fair point. What are you? Why were you helping us?” Twilight pressed further, with a serious look.
“Because the river would have taken you. Plus you’re Equestria’s only hope “Rainbow Ponies”” Sonic explained.
“Why do ya keep calling us “Rainbow Ponies?”” Applejack asked with caution.
“Because you’re all different colours. Just like a rainbow.” To which the group lost their serious looks, well Fluttershy looked scared and Pinkie looked happy.
“Again, fair.” Twilight spoke up, Sonic then proceeded to touch his chest, only to go wide eyed as he then spun around trying to look for something.
The Mane six and Spike watched in confusion before Sonic, looked back at them with worry. “I lost my rings!”
He then ran back into his cave a lot slower than before, the group listened carefully and heard a bunch of noise coming from inside, before Sonic came back out.
“Okay, okay, okay… My rings are missing!” Sonic yelled, making the girls move back Sonic ran out from under the giant tree above them, and looked up at Canterlot.
“Are you kidding me! Come on, this just isn’t fair!” Sonic yelled once more before sitting on his knees, Twilight walked slowly up to him and tapped his shoulder making turn to face her.
“What’s going on and what’s so important about those rings?” Twilight asked, still confused.
Sonic stood up before beginning to explain. “Listen those are no ordinary rings, as you saw before. They have the ability to go anywhere as long as you can picture it.”
They all listened with interest, with Twilight having a thought come to mind.
“What were you going to do with the one in your hand from earlier?” Twilight asked, with less caution and more interest.
“I was going to use it so we could find someplace safe, to think of a plan but now that opportunity is missing.” Sonic grumbled the last bit, making Twilight feel guilty.
“Look I’m sorry, you just caught us off guard and we didn’t know if you were a threat or not.” Twilight explained, Sonic looked back up at Canterlot with sadness.
“Anyway so what now?” Sonic said to the group which got them talking about everything that happened.
“Well we just got our cupcakes handed to us by the worst party crasher ever!“ Pinkie explained.
“We gotta go back there and fight!” Rainbow Dash said determined.
Spike then spoke up. “Well, you saw the size of those goons. You seriously wanna go back?”
“Listen you do not want to go back there right now!” Sonic spoke up, everyone sans Twilight looked at him.
“Why not?” Rainbow Dash asked curiously.
“Well… First off there’s Scar lady who just took down three of the four Princesses.” He nearly choked up when he said ‘Princesses’. “Two there are too many guards and finally we have no army.” Sonic explained.
Everyone realised he was right, even though they just met him he was just helping them like a close friend.
“So, now what? We can't hide here forever.” Applejack inquired, which made Sonic look at the ground.
“I know what that’s like.” He muttered to himself, Twilight who had been looking at the water turned to face them, she had remembered what Celestia was saying to Luna.
“The Queen.” She said, above a whisper Pinkie bounced over excited.
“Yeah, the Queen! Uh, what queen?” Pinkie asked with confusion, Twilight looked up a Canterlot which was still being invaded.
“Celestia told Luna to find the Queen of the... "Hippos". Luna can't, so I have to.” She turned to face her friends with determination.
“Uh, hippos? Seriously?” Rainbow Dash asked deadpanned, to which Pinkie spoke up.
“I've heard they're surprisingly graceful for their size. Huh, but they're always hungry.” Pinkie looked upset at the end.
“Hungry?” Spike said aloud.
“Hippos?” Applejack finished.
Fluttershy and Rarity looked at each other confused while Sonic simply stared at the group thinking of a board game.
“They're somewhere south, past the Badlands.” Twilight further explained, which made Sonic stare at her.
“The board game or the actual animal?” Everyone stared at him with confusion but chose to ignore what he said.
“But that means we'll have to... leave Equestria. Oh!” Fluttershy added with fear in her eyes.
Rarity popped up next to her. “I'm not even packed!”
Sonic silently commented to himself. “I’m not wearing any pants!”
Twilight looked at them with a caring expression. “I understand you're scared, and nopony else has to go. But I have to find this queen. She might be our only hope.” Twilight began walking by herself.
The others (except Sonic) looked to one another before smiling knowing what to do, Rainbow Dash then flew over to Twilight’s side.
“Well, you're not getting all the glory. We're in this together.” Rainbow said, Applejack then walked over and put a hoof on Rainbow’s back.
“We got your back.” She added.
“Indeedy!” Pinkie smiled after she bounced over.
Rarity walked over. “I am ready to save Equestria!” She declared.
Fluttershy silently walked over and gave a quiet cheer. “Yay.”
Spike ran in front of the group. “We're all behind you, Twilight.”
They then heard footsteps come closer which revealed Sonic standing next to Fluttershy. “Till the very end.” He spoke, the group were in silent shock.
This creature who they’ve never met ever is just willing to help them, on the whim even after accidentally attacking him.
Twilight smiled seeing them all willing to help, Twilight faced Sonic and continued to smile. “What’s your name?” Sonic smiled back.
“If this was a little bit ago I would have said “Ryan” but just call me Sonic, Sonic the Hedgehog.” He answered.
After being satisfied with the answers they were ready to go, Pinkie then jumped forward. “Let’s go find this hippo!”
The group watched on in confusion Spike broke the silence. “Uh, south?” He pointed to his left, Pinkie then jumped towards where Spike pointed with the group smiling at her antics.
They finally began walking down the path to begin their journey, Sonic looked back at his home still walking before facing forward with excitement filling his body all the way up to his nose.
“Anypony up for a game of “I spy?”” This caused most of the group to groan with the exception of Sonic who smiled brightly.
“Oh I do, I do!” Most of the group were caught of guard by his sudden excitement.
“I spy with my little eye something that is orange.” Pinkie started, making Sonic look around to which he looked at Applejack and guessed.
“Is it “Cowgirl?”” Sonic asked causing most of the group to stop moving and look at him.
Sonic noticed everyone staring at him confused. “What? Is it because I smell from the river?” Everyone kept looking at him with confusion before Twilight broke the silence.
“Uh what do you mean by “Cowgirl?”” Sonic looked at her and began to explain.
“Okay so, I’ve never really knew your actual names so I came up with nicknames for each of you.” The others made ‘oh’ sounds before continuing to walk.
“So who’s, who?” Pinkie asked, making Sonic smile.
“Well first we have “Cowgirl” because she wears that hat and lives on a farm.” He pointed at Applejack who smiled at the name.
He then turned to to Rarity. “Then we have “Fashionista” or “Drama Queen”… honestly it goes either way.” The others slightly snickered while Rarity pouted at the latter nickname.
“We then have “Animal Carer” who gets that nickname for obvious reasons.” Fluttershy blushed a little bit and hid her face.
“Then we have “Cotten Candy Pony” because her hair looks like Cotten Candy.” Pinkie smiles at the nickname seeming to have accepted it.
“Next is “Skittles” the reason behind the name is because of a Candy that I’ve tried before that has the slogan, ‘Taste the Rainbow.’” Rainbow Dash, simply snorts at the name.
“Why I didn’t get a cooler name!” Sonic simply gave her a smirk.
“Unless you want to be called “LGBT”” Everyone except for Twilight and Rainbow gave confused looks.
“What does that mean?” Fluttershy asked.
“You don’t want to know.” Twilight told, Rainbow Dash immediately shook her head before replying.
“Okay “Skittles” is fine.” Sonic chuckled before continuing the Nicknames.
“Continuing forward we have “Scales” but honestly you can take the nickname “Spyro” if you want.” Spike smiled at his nickname's.
Sonic then pointed at Twilight. “And finally we have “Book Master” who knows practically everything about books.” The others giggled at the name while Twilight blushed.
“Okay, okay we get it, it’s funny but we do have names. You already know my name, so I’ll introduce you to the others.” They all stopped moving.
“Howdy there I’m Applejack!” She tipped her hat to him.
“I’m Pinkie Pie! And your so cute better than the original design!” Everyone else gave questioning looks, to which Sonic leaned over. “Is she always like this?”
“Mostly.” Was all Twilight could say, before everyone else continued.
“I’m Rarity and… Oh my! Whatever happened to your footwear!” Sonic looked down at his grey shoes that he’s been wearing for a few years, they had holes and tear throughout.
“Oh yeah that… honestly I don’t see the problem.” Sonic shrugged making Rarity gasp.
“How could you say such things! This will be fixed when this is all over!” She exclaimed, making the others roll their eyes except for Sonic, Pinkie and Fluttershy.
“Anyway I’m Rainbow Dash, fastest flyer around this side of Equestria!” She boasted making the others groan, while Sonic simply stared at her.
“We’ll it’s nice to know there someone who’s also fast.” Everyone stared at Sonic with raised brows, with Rainbow staring with curiosity.
“What’d you mean?” Sonic smiled back.
“I’ve always been able to go fast and I’ve never had anyone to challenge me, so maybe sometime we could race?” Everyone looked at him confusion, he then sighed.
“Hold on I’ll be back in a second.” He then ran all the way back to his cave and came back with a fresh apple, everyone jumped at his sudden speed from running to the cave and back.
“Okay… I’ll think about it.” Rainbow responded with her mouth agape like everyone else’s.
“I-I’m F-Fluttershy.” She spoke quietly but Sonic caught her name, he turned his attention to Spike.
“I am Spike the number one assistant of the Princess of Friendship!” He announced proudly.
“And you know me as Twilight.” She finished, Sonic simply smiled in return.
“Well now that we have names out of the way, let’s do this thing!” He declared, which the group proceeded forward unaware of what was happening at Canterlot minutes prior.
Canterlot: 15 Minutes Earlier
Back in the streets of the now invaded city Storm creatures are everywhere, with a row of them following a chain of ponies who have been captured.
The Unicorns can’t use their magic due to their horns being covered, and Pegasi have their wings bound to the sides of their bodies and to top it off their muzzles are clamped shut.
One Storm creature sees a collection of balloons and cuts the string, causing them to fly up into the air towards the balcony of the castle.
Tempest sees the balloons and comments to herself. “All this power wasted on parties.” She walks into the throne room and past the statue of Celestia, and looks at the reflection of herself.
“When there are far greater uses.” Her horn flared, as she walked past and saw two of the Storm creatures, walk forward with a potion in one of their hands that was making a ringtone noise.
Tempest looked annoyed. “Well? Answer it!” she demanded the Storm creature, pulled of the cap and poured the liquid into the pot that sat there in the room, causing an effect of Blume flames to rise up, causing both creatures to walk backwards.
After some startup noises, a head of a figure appeared. “Where am I supposed to be looking? I never understand how this spell works. Tempest!” He called in anger, to which Tempest looked at him with slight annoyance.
“Over here, Your Excellency.” she said deadpanned.
“Where?”
“Over here.” He looked to his right missing Tempest.
“No.” He looked to the left.
“No, right. Look right.” She continued to look deadpanned.
“My right?” he looked down to his right.
“Yep.”
He then finally saw Tempest and began. “Oh. There you are. Here's the deal. I'm in the middle of a big re-brand here. "The Storm King" is tracking well as "intensely intimidating", but you know what? I need to back it up. You know what I need to back it up with? A storm! That would be great! You promised me magic that could control the elements, and right now, I'm holding a what? A branch. A twig. Bleh!” Tempest walked closer unaffected from his outburst.
“Uh, that would be the Staff of Sacanas, Your Excellency, and it will channel the magic of the four rulers of this land, along with whatever caused the Blue explosion.” The Storm King kept on nodding his head not really paying attention.
“You'll soon have the power of a hundred armies.” She finished explaining, to which The Storm King who was still holding the staff faced her.
“So that would be a yes on your locking down the four Pegacornicuseses, or whatever you call them? Along with the thing that caused the EMP? I can’t believe I’m the only one to get that right.” He stared right into her eyes with a bored expression.
“Give me three days. I’ll have everything ready for your arrival.” Tempest requested.
The Storm King then changed his tone of voice from bored to ominous. “Remember, Tempest. Only I have the power to make you whole. Make this twig work, and you'll get your reward. Fail me, and your horn won't be the only thing that's broken.”
Tempest eyes stared deeply into The Storm King’s. “It won’t be a problem.” She replied.
“Good. I’ll see you then with you still being a pony, or as nothing but the stains that cover these walls.” He finished before disappearing.
Grubber stood on the opposite side of the pot with a surprised expression. “Thorry, bad thpell thervice. You want me to call him back?” He asked to which Tempest walked over towering him.
“Do you have the Princess?” Grubber became nervous and tried to explain as best as he could.
“Well, uh, funny thtory. It kinda theemth like she... she might've like, you know, got away... a little bit. I know you're dithappointed, but I got one word for you: "thpongecake". He then got zapped in response by Tempest who glares heavily.
“I need all four for the staff to work” she walked away from Grubber, still glaring heavily at the floor.
“Hey, I know! I want the Thtorm King to fix that crazy horn as badly as you do. It lookth like a crackly chipped tooth on the top of your head. And you know you don't look good in hatth.” Tempest then ran right up to him with her magic going crazy.
“That Princess is not gonna keep me from getting my horn back! Prepare my ship!” Grubber ran from her in fear, she breathed heavily and regained her cold exterior.
“Please. How far could one little pony get on her own?” She then turned her head back to her ‘friend’ who walked up to her before stammering.
“We… also tthound… this.” He opened up his hand to reveal a blue quill glowing brightly, Tempest’s eyes grew wide as she processed this new info. ‘Wherever this blue quill came from, it must’ve came from whatever caused the EMP.’
Grubber looked at her before whispering to her. “Listen whatever you do, don’t try to eat it cause it tthaps you.” He then gave it to Tempest before running outside to the ship.
Tempest stared at the quill and had more questions raised in her head, for what this quill belongs to but she couldn’t dwell on that now. She had a mission to finish, whether she hated it or not she was going to catch that Princess no matter what.
She finally proceeded out the doors of the throne room towards her ship to begin searching for her target, but as she left a portal appeared above the balcony of the castle and a pouch of rings dropped down and landed.
They sat there waiting to be picked up by anybody, but no one came by to claim it, the sound of screams echoed across the city with the only thought on everyone’s minds being. ‘Celestia help us.’
Canterlot was far away from this place and all that accompanied the wasteland, was a bunch of rocks and one massive skull of a creature that had very pointy teeth.
Weird bug creatures even lived in this thing, but other than that was the dunes that covered the place, no matter where you looked.
But climbing up one of these dunes were the Mane six, Spike and Sonic who’ve been traveling for several hours across the land of Equestria, and into the badlands without any real idea of where they were headed.
Everyone of them were sweating heavily, with bags under their eyes and hair sticking out of place, they were all tired and wanted to rest but knew that the fate of their home rested in their hooves/hands.
Pinkie was busy talking to herself panting heavily. “There's sand in my... everything... Heh... Saving... Equestria...” She began to laugh which made Sonic believe she was on the point of breaking her mental stability.
She then looked down and picked up a skull “Oh! Look! Maybe this guy knows which way to go! What's that, friend? We're lost?” After throwing the skull away, she continued to laugh only to start coughing wildly, she then stood up straight with her tail before face planting into the sand.
Spike who was walking alongside Rarity and Rainbow Dash fell to his knees as they walked past. “We could be going in... circles! Endless... sand... (inhales) Nothin' for miles... but sand... (breathes) and this rock... (coughs) and this cactus... (breathes) and this roooooooooaaaaaad.... (breathes, faints, breathes) ...this rooooooad....” He collapsed onto the floor in exhaustion with a cactus attached to his back, Twilight faced him as she realised what he had just said.
“Hmm? A road? Where there's a road, there's a...” She gasped in excitement of what she saw ahead of her, it turned out to be a giant city with factories scattered across along with Airships flying the sky.
The others voiced their awe with Sonic’s mouth dropping in awe, he was excited to see what he could do here with the “Rainbow Ponies” by his side.
Pinkie jumped back up from the sand with new found energy, she also looked normal again. “Oooh! A city! We are doing it, you guys!“ She exclaimed happily making Sonic pump up his fist in victory.
Rarity then voiced her opinion. “You know what they say: where there's a city, there's a spa!” Sonic faced her, with a deadpanned look.
“Um… I’m pretty sure no one ever says that.” Rainbow Dash agreed with him, with Applejack voicing her own thoughts.
“'Case you forgot, we're on a mission to save Equestria.” Rarity was a little annoyed by the reminder.
“I can multitask.” Sonic retorted with his own comment.
“Try playing Table Tennis by yourself.” Rarity glared at him, while Rainbow and Applejack held back their laughter.
Klugetown
A bird flew over them and went inside of the city squawking loudly, before being pulled down by a rope and into a cage by some Pig creatures, who smiled evilly.
They were laughing after commenting on giving the bird to the highest bidder, the Ponies, Dragon and Hedgehog walked in with worried looks as the place felt off.
They walked by a vendor who grew curious at Twilight. “Ooh. Hey! You with the horn, you selling?” Twilight quickly moved away feeling uncomfortable, Sonic stared at him as he walked by with an awkward smile.
They walked past some birds in some cages who squawked loudly when the group walked past which scared Fluttershy, they then came across a turtle who was carrying a barrel onto his wagon.
“Hi there!” She greeted, the turtle placed the barrel onto the wagon which caused the other two barrels to fall out. “Ooh, I'm sorry. Here. Lemme help you with that.”
She then grabbed all of the barrels and placed them perfectly onto the wagon, but a cat nearby wearing a red jacket moved his head slightly catching sight of the group.
The turtle glared at Twilight. “Hey! No magic around my merchandise!” He then raised his hands up and scared the group off, the cat watched on and smiled mischievously.
“Hmmm... Very interesting...” He held his hand to his chin, he then took note of the bipedal Blue Hedgehog with them, he knew that the Hedgehog felt out of place amongst the ponies.
With that in mind he followed them while keeping his distance with a smirk that remained on his face the whole time.
Klugetown: Meanwhile
After escaping the giant turtle the group continued forward with Twilight telling them what they should do. “Okay. We just gotta stick together. Be careful who you talk to. And try to blend in.”
Sonic raised a brow at that but then realised that a certain Party Pony was missing. “Uh… ‘Bookmaster’ I think we have a bigger issue.” The others wondered what he meant but they then heard screaming in the distance, and quickly realised what Sonic meant.
Pinkie was out in the middle of the crowd screaming her head off. “Can anypony take us to the Queen of the Hippos?!” a big fish that was walking in her direction, spoke up.
“You want something? You gotta give something!” Pinkie then jumped into his arms, which made him feel uncomfortable.
“Well, how about a big warm hug from a grateful pony friend?” The fish dropped her with disgust before walking away, Pinkie then went up to other strangers.
One of them she tried to give a comb (that she never used) to, another she got a picture of her sister Maud and she even went up to a Pig who she offered a breath mint to only to get burped on, to which she felt sick and fell down.
Twilight and the rest of the group walked over to their Pink friend. “Pinkie, you can't just take off!” She then clenched her teeth. “And you don't need to announce to every...” she tried to explain her frustration only to get interrupted by Pinkie.
“Relax, Twilight! I totally got this!” Then a bunch of the bystanders walked over and surrounded the group.
“How much for the gecko?” A lizard asked, which made Spike feel offended.
“Who you callin’ a gecko?” Twilight put her hoof in front of Spike for protection, “Uh, Spike isn’t for sale.”
Another creature then pointed at Rarity. “I want that fancy purple hair! I'll give ya two storm bucks for it!” She offered with greed only for Rarity to scoff.
“Two storm bucks?! It's worth more than that!” The group were very confused by that but the crowd of creatures kept coming closer, and kept saying they want certain ponies or Spike.
Sonic realised that this was gonna get bad so he did the one thing he could think of. “Uh no offence to any of you, creatures but your breath stinks!”
Everyone stared at him with blank stares. “Yeesh tough crowd, I’m just being honest.” The creatures continued forward backing the group up against a venue, when a figure dropped from above and held his paws out.
“Back up, everyone! Back it up! Y'all in some serious danger! Now you didn't touch any of them, did you? Just look at all those colors! You think that's natural? They're infected with "pastelis coloritis". This new figure whispered the last part getting gasps from the crowd.
Applejack and the others looked at him with glares. “Now, you listen here, fella, there ain't—” she was cut off when he put his tail on her mouth.
“Don't worry, don't worry, as long as you're not covered in purple splotches, you'll be fine. Uh-oh.” He secretly splashed some purple paint into the big blue fish from before who started to panic.
“What do I do?!” He asked scared, to which the cat smiled mischievously, “Enjoy your last moments and don't touch anyone. Because parts will fall off.”
The whole crowd disappeared in a flash leaving the group and the cat alone together, he then walked in front of the group. “Well, all right.” The group walked towards him with Rainbow Dash flying up to him.
“You are awesome!” She exclaimed excited, Sonic then walked up to him.
“That was pretty cool and nice digs.” He said with optimism, Rarity came up to the cat as well.
“And quite charming.” Spike crossed his arms and glared at the cat before letting out an annoyed ‘huh’.
The cat swiped of some dust from his jacket and began his introduction. “Capper's the name. Charming's my game. So... to the Hippos, then?” he bowed down before, turning around holding his jacket with his hands.
He began walking off, to which Pinkie began to follow him bouncing away Twilight’s eyes widen before flying over, she blocked Pinkie from advancing with her wing.
“I don’t know if we should trust him.” Twilight whispered in suspicion, but Pinkie smiled in return. “We could definitely use a friend out here!”
“Yeah plus you trust me, even though we just technically met a few hours ago.” Sonic reminded her.
Capper came back over and gently pushed Twilight’s wing down with his finger. “You know what? Little Cotton Candy Hair is right. And, if I do say so myself...” He trailed off and began to sing.
(Honestly nothing really changes in the song and I’m not putting myself through pain of writing out what happens so enjoy this moment.)

Capper’s House After making their way up they followed Capper until he pushed open a hatch door that led into his house. “Welcome, my little ponies, to my little manor.” He moved onto the floor to which the group popped out and gaped at the sight.
“Ooh! A sort of a roco-hobo-Bohemian hodgepodge.” Rarity commented, to which Sonic retorted.
“You really like to point out the details, don’t you?” Rarity lightly glares at him, with Rainbow and Applejack snicker a little bit.
They then climbed into the room and looked around, Pinkie and Sonic looked up at a chandelier made of bottles. “Ooh! So many fun breakables!” Sonic nodded in agreement as they continued to look around.
Rainbow and Applejack came across a teapot that had multiple spouts, which surprised Rainbow and made Applejack chuckle, Rarity looked at some sort of painting of a warrior that had Capper’s face slapped onto it.
Sonic then walked over to Twilight who was looking at some books, he faced her with curiosity. “Hey ‘Book Master’ if it’s okay to call you that, uhhh… what are you exactly looking for?”
Twilight looked at him, with a small smile before returning to the book shelf. “I’m just looking at the books to see if there’s anything useful.” Sonic made an ‘oh’ sound which made her giggle a little bit.
She then noticed a certain book that had a map picture on its cover, she proceeded to pick it up and take it to the table with Sonic following closely behind.
But unbeknownst to the heroes they were being closely followed.
Klugetown: Meanwhile
A Storm creature opened up a barrel and found no sign of the Ponies, only food scraps that were thrown away, he threw it away before continuing the search.
Another knocked away some stands and found some of the other creatures and scared them, all of them were being lead by Tempest who marched through the streets slowly, with Grubber following behind her eating some food on a stick.
Thea Storm creatures continued trashing the place. “You really think the ponieth got thith far?” Tempest sniffed the air before eyeing a string of pink hair, she frowned and responded.
“Oh, they're here. Attention! A little purple pony passed this way. Tell me where she is...” Grubber then jumped in.
“...or thumpin real bad'th gonna happen.” The big fish from earlier walked over which made Grubber walk back in fear, Tempest however was unfazed.
“You think we're gonna fall for this again? I don't know what kinda scam you're workin' with Capper and the rest of your friends, but--” Tempest interrupted.
“Friends?" The fish then continued. “Poison or no poison, you’re gonna pay!” He tried to punch her, but Tempest ducked and kicked the fish in the chest causing him to fly back, she ran over and sweeper his legs with her hooves before jumping into the air, grabbing the fishes tail bringing him up into the air.
She finished the small fight by slamming him onto the ground, leaving a defeated fish lying there. “Ohhhh, Fishman juth got dropped!” Grubber called out.
Tempest walked over and hopped onto the fishes back staring into his eye, he appeared very terrified and began whimpering. “Now... about this… “Capper”…” Her horn charged causing the fish to become more terrified.
Capper’s House
The group were all having a good time laughing and telling stories, Rainbow Dash finished talking about her Sonic Rainboom. “Stop playin' me! A sonic rainboom? That's not a real thang! Is that a real thing?”
Rainbow Dash flew from her spot and readied herself. “I’ll show ya!” Capper immediately rose his hands. “Naw-naw-naw, I don't need you sonic "rainbooming" up in my place, thank you very much. Whoa, hey, hold up now. Whoa.”
His arm got grabbed by magic to which Rarity fixed his jacket sleeve that had a rip, he was actually genuinely shocked. “Here you go. I do apologize. If we were back home, I could've done something truly fabulous.” She then placed to golden buttons onto his jacket which made him feel confused.
He felt a little suspicious about it though. “Okay… what’s the catch?” He walked away from her with his index finger, raised to his chin.
“Nothing. After all that you've done for us, consider it a "thank you".” Capper froze and he felt different, instead of his mischievous demeanour it was slight sadness.
“Oh. Uh don’t thank me. Really.” He then had a thought. ‘Am I doing the right thing?’ Sonic then walked over to him, to which Capper made eye contact.
“You look really cool, Y’know?” Capper hasn’t interacted with Sonic yet and the Blue Hedgehog complimented him on his look, Capper smiled back at him.
“Your not so different yourself, I’ve never seen anything like you from around here do you come from a different place far from here?” Sonic sighed in sadness.
“Well technically yes and no.” This caused everyone to look at him even Twilight who was busy looking at the map she had found.
He sighed again. “You see, a few years ago I was on a different planet and I was sitting in my cave but then all of a sudden had a vision of sorts. I saw a Pony that stood there and I realised who it was.”
Fluttershy walked over. “Who?” Sonic’s mouth quivered a little bit thinking back to what happened in Canterlot hours earlier. “My mom.” Gasps filled the room, he was here on their world looking for his mom.
“And to be honest I don’t even know why I left this world, and well back at Canterlot I found her but she was already… taken.” Sonic looked at the ground, tears threatening to leave his eyes.
The Group and Capper looked at the Hedgehog in a new light, Capper began to realise that maybe what he did earlier was a mistake, Twilight who had been silent walked over to Sonic and to the Hedgehog’s shock he was hugged.
For the first time in years… 13 years he had been hugged by someone, and it was filled with care and empathy.
He was at a loss for words but fell into it none the less, after a few more seconds Twilight and Sonic parted from the hug and stared at each other. “You feel better?” Sonic nodded in response.
“Thank you, I really needed that.” He then faced everyone else in the room who had smiles except for Capper who had a neutral look, Sonic then strolled over to the table and sat down on a chair.
He then looked at everyone, with a newfound smile. “What are we waiting for, let’s find these hippos.” The others nodded Sans Capper and walked over.
They proceeded to look at the map at all the different places, then Twilight spotted something. “Guys look! We've been looking for the wrong queen! We don't need the Queen of the Hippos! We need the Queen of the Hippogriffs! Part pony, part eagle!” She explained pointing her hoof at the mountain that showed two Hippogriffs standing tall.
Capper became nervous. “Oh! Oh, the Hippogriffs! Now, the trouble with that is... no one knows... where they are...” Twilight got very suspicious of Capper.
“Says here they’re on the top of Mount Aris!” She pointed at the mountain on the map again, Pinkie perked up.
“You mean the mountain right outside the window?” She pointed out the window and in the distance was Mount Aris in all of its glory.
“Objects in windows may be less mountainous than they appear. Heh heh heh...” Sonic caught onto his nervous posture, he was hiding something from them.
Twilight was unamused and grabbed the map with her magic, “Let’s go, everypony.” Capper ran over to the door quickly blocking it.
“Wait! You can't—you can't make it by y'allselves. You need an airship! And lucky for you, I can get you a ride.” He placed his hand on the back of Twilight’s head causing her to grit her teeth, she pushed him out of the way. “I think we can get there on our own.”
She opened the door only reveal a rat on the other side wearing a suit with a bow tie and a top hat. “Here’s Verko!” He began laughing as Twilight gasped walking backwards.
“These ponies better shoot rainbow lasers out their eyes if they're gonna settle your debt! Brought the big cage. Let's load 'em up!” Twilight and the others grew scowls.
“You were... You were going to sell us?” Rarity yelled, Twilight stomped her hoof. “I knew it!” Capper held his hands up caught red handed, he started to feel guilty.
Sonic felt hurt from his trust being broken, some electricity started to form on him but they died down when Twilight continued. “We gotta get outta here!” Before they could begin to leave an evil chuckle was heard causing them to stop.
The sounds of magic started to crackle loudly as Tempest walked forward revealing herself. “Silly little ponies.” She faced them with an evil smile causing the group to feel fear.
“Tempest!” Twilight spoke, causing Spike to scream while Fluttershy put a lamp shade over her head for protection.
She continued to chuckle. “Trusting strangers? Big mistake. Big...” she eyed Capper who held fear, but she refocused on the group.
“Huge!” Grubber finished for her then Verko grabbed Tempest’s face who grew a scowl. “Well, look at you! With your scary broken horn and scowly eyes. What tricks do you know, my little pony-wony?”
Tempest’s horn flared before blasting Verko who had soot all over him he then fell backwards unconscious, when he did Twilight and her friends climbed onto the windmill. “Go! Go!” She flew up to her friends to which Tempest ordered the Storm Creatures to get her.
“Get her now!” They advanced with both Grubber and Tempest staying behind, they then heard the sounds of electricity to which Tempest then saw a Blue Blur fly at her, she didn’t have time to react as she was flung out of the building through the door.
Klugetown Street She skidded across the floor and looked up to see Sonic staring her down with what looked to be anger, she stood her ground glaring at the being in front of her.
“Get out of my way rat! This is none of your concern!” Tempest ordered, to which Sonic gritted his teeth in reply.
“You made a mistake coming here!” Sonic called back to her, Tempest then noticed his quills and remembered the quill from earlier that Grubber gave her.
They looked the exact same the length, colour and texture were the same. ‘This thing caused the explosion!’ She smiled evily and chuckled.
“Well that’s something that won’t be necessary to find.” Sonic raised his brow, before smiling to himself.
“Y’know for a villain you get the job done pretty well except for the fact, that almost all ponies are adorable including you!” Tempest went wide eyed and blushed from embarrassment, she then growled.
“Enough games! Turn yourself in peacefully or else!” Sonic simply shook his head.
“Not happening chief!” Grubber and Capper who had been watching we’re feeling nervous, thinking about how this fight would go down.
“Fine then enjoy your freedom while it lasts.” Her horn lit, sending sparks flying around. She then leaped forward with intent on kicking Sonic down, but he dodged out the way at the last second making her skid across.
She glared heavily at the Hedgehog who smiled at her with amusement, she tried to do it again only for Sonic to dodge again, This happened a third time only for Tempest to trip form Sonic sticking his foot out.
She quickly recovered and faced Sonic with a snarl. “You are very annoying!” She growled, only for Sonic to retort.
“And you are very bad at hitting your target!” This made Capper and Grubber snicker, while Tempest glares harder at the hedgehog, who was still smiling.
“I took down three princesses with ease eventually you’ll be down as well!” Sonic immediately dropped his smile and clenched his fists while gritting his teeth.
He then launch himself forward towards her and grabbed her by the throat and threw her at the wall, she made impact and fell down. She stood back up and regained her balance, she then faced the Hedgehog who had a snarl of his own.
Tempest then ran over and the two of them locked Hands and Hooves together as one of them tried to gain the upper hand, neither of them gave up.
Tempest then managed to throw Sonic away causing him to slide across the ground, he then got back up before running back over. He dodged over the incoming hoof, before riding on her back.
“Giddy up horsey!” He yelled with a cowboy voice, Tempest then jumped around trying to get him off, after a few moments tempest grabbed Sonic with her mouth before throwing him away. (End Song)
Quickly getting up Sonic looked back at Tempest with a hard glare. “You annoying pest, why are you even wasting our time with this pointless fight!” She spat.
Sonic then heard a loud ruckus from far before smirking. “I just needed to create a diversion.” Before Tempest could blink he sped up top of a nearby building before calling out.
“Sorry but we’ve gotta run! Don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll get the chance to play again real soon!” He then gave a two finger salute before bolting away.
Tempest growled angrily she had been deceived by this thing, how could it have come to be. “Uh, boss you could’th used your magic.” Tempest gave a death glare but faced the Storm creatures who had returned.
“To the ship now! And bring him!” She pointed at Capper who was grabbed harshly before being dragged of with them.
Tempest thought about the Hedgehog the way he went from joking to being serious was sudden, but that didn’t matter all that did was that she got the last princess.
‘Nothing will stop me even that annoyance of a Hedgehog won’t prevent me from getting what I want.’ They continued back to the docks they had arrived from to interrogate their new prisoner.
Klugetown: Earlier
Verko was currently in front of Tempest preventing her from getting to them, Twilight knew that this was their chance to escape.
She quickly ushered the group out the window and onto the windmill for escape, she didn’t notice Sonic staying behind as Verko got zapped causing her to freak out.
“Go! Go!” She then flew upwards to catch up with her friends, she heard Tempest yell something but didn’t pay attention to it, she reached her friends then she noticed somebody was missing.
‘Where’s did he go?!’ She didn’t have time to think as a Storm creature appeared from the window and began pushing the windmill backwards, Twilight and Rainbow Dash zipped over to the rotor that their friends were on and began pushing back.
The struggle for victory became apparent to both parties as they continued pushing with all their might, they didn’t notice the windmill slowly getting loose from its spot.
The rotor that the Storm creature held broke and smacked him in the face, the Mane six and Spike spun around in circles at a fast pace before the windmill detached from its holding point.
This caused it to start bouncing down the road, with Applejack expressing her inner thoughts out loud. “I'm... gonna... be... sick!” After a few more spins and bounces they let go of the rotor and landed on a wooden path.
They began immediately running with Twilight and Rainbow Dash flying behind, the windmill was destroying everything behind them making the pressure even more intense.
They jumped to another wooden path and continued forward, they barley managed to make the jump to safety as they were all running with fear, except Pinkie who… For god sake she waved to me now of all times.
They then exited the tunnel like area they entered and looked around, Twilight saw a ship on the docks. “We have to get there! To the docks! Hurry!”
On their way up the stairs they felt a gush of wind pass them to which they faced to their left to see Sonic running alongside them, smiling.
“So what did I miss?” None of them responded, to his question with the only focus being to get onto the ship.
They arrived at the docks and saw the ship leaving, Sonic and Rainbow Dash zipped over to the rope that was hanging form the ship, Sonic began running backwards pulling with all of his might.
Rainbow Dash was also doing the same, the others quickly made it across with Fluttershy flying across, Pinkie then jumped onto the rope causing it to fall.
Spike who was traversing the rope managed to hang on, with Sonic and Rainbow Dash falling downwards as well, Sonic held on for dear life now wishing he had his rings.
Pinkie unfortunately wasn’t lucky and began falling into the clouds below. “Pinkie!” Twilight shouted, she dived for her friend and managing to catch her right before they hit the ground.
Twilight carried Pinkie up to the ship and fell onto the deck exhausted, Pinkie then shot her head up. “Best... escape... plan... ever!” Twilight‘s eyes shrunk had her friend really said that right before her potential death.
“WHAT?!” They then got lassoed by Applejack when they landed Spike shushed them, as they looked up and saw two shadowed figures approach each other.
“Did you hear something?” The one on the right asked to which the other squawked, they began moving away. “Eh, probably just the rats. If we find 'em, we'll eat 'em.”
The group became terrified after he mentioned eating them, Rarity took note of what he called them. “Rats?”
“Oh come on that’s the second time that someone’s called me a rat!” Sonic whispered in equal tone.
The group faced him with looks of fear while Twilight glares at him. “Where did you go?!” She whispered, to which Sonic smirked.
“I fought with the scar faced pony, that’s all.” The group became silent to which Twilight groaned in annoyance. “Never do that again!” She hissed.
Sonic simply crossed his arms and looked at the floor frowning before whispering to himself. “Gee thanks mom.” No one picked up on it. But what they didn’t know was some good luck was coming their way.
Klugetown docks: Meanwhile
Capper landed on the ground with a thud after being pushed by one of the Storm creatures, he went wide eyed when the shadow of Tempest loomed over him.
He looked up to see her face staring back at his own. “Now... where are they going?” Her horn charged up causing intimidation to fill Capper’s face.
He then stood up. “Okay. No need for violence. Uh, they're headed...” He was about to say where they were going but the golden button on his jacket dinged, causing him to look at it remembering what Rarity did earlier.
He also remembered about how Sonic was looking for his mother, the kid was lost and alone he needed help.
Capper then made his mind up. “They headed east! Yeah, to... to Black Skull Island.” Tempest and Grubber looked at each other before focusing on Capper who was walking away.
“So, uh, glad I could be of service to His Majesty, the Storm King. I'll just be on my way.” He was then blocked by the Storm creatures and faced Tempest.
“When I get my Princess. Until then, your fate is still... up in the air.” Tempest smirked at him before walking back to the ship.
“Oh, you're gonna go in the thkiff! Which ith a boat! Thpethifically, a air-boat!” Grubber added while laughing.
He turned around and caught up with Tempest, Capper was pushed forward to which he gave up and slumped forward.
‘I really hope they make it, especially that kid he reminds me of how I was back when I was younger.’ Capper thought, making him remember his younger years.
But right now he just had to hope that his lie goes smoothly and if doesn’t he’ll be roadkill.
Up high above the dark clouds that operated the open sky, was a ship that blared its horn loudly as it traversed through the dark world.
Hiding behind some supplies were the Mane six, Spike and Sonic who have taken refuge ever since escaping Tempest back in Klugetown. Both Rainbow Dash and Applejack peeked from behind some crates, and looked to see some of the ships members.
There was a pink bird of sorts carrying a crate while another walked past them before stopping, he then burped before scratching his behind causing Rainbow to gag in disgust.
Applejack looked over at Twilight who was looking at the map. “Whadaya think, Twilight? Should we just... ask 'em to take us?” Twilight dropped the map before facing her Apple bucking friend.
“Last time we trusted somepony, he tried to sell us!” Sonic walked over to her and put his hand on her shoulder.
“Look ‘Book Master’ I know it’s scary right now, but we should at least try to ask for help…” Then a box was moved out of the way revealing them to a green bird.
“…Or they find us.” Sonic finished, the bird in question was wearing black clothing along with a grey hat.
“Hey, guys! Come check this out!” Another bird came over he looked similar to the other one, only he had an eyepatch and looked skinnier. “Looks like a pack of stowaways.”
The same pink bird came over stroking her chin with a fork. “What are we s'posed to do with 'em?” Once again a bird with a beanie and some accessory on his beak popped out and squawked loudly.
“I think we tie 'em up!” Applejack gasped at that.
“We clip their wings!” This made Rainbow gasp.
“Nah. We scar ‘em…” Rarity yelped at that.
“…Emotionally!” He finished making Fluttershy sob.
“Wai-wai-wai-wait. What say the book, Captain Celaeno?” He turned around and watched as one final bird named Celaeno walked over, who had a wooden stick instead of a foot.
She carried a book which had the Storm King’s symbol on it, she then opened it. “Storm King's rule book says, "Throw them overboard."”
The group went wide eyed when that was spoken. The eye patched bird pull on some rope which brought out a wooden plank on the side of the ship, which led to the abyss that was below.
They started to make their way towards the group, ready to grab them. Twilight, Rainbow Dash and Applejack all got into defensive stances while Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Flutttershy and Spike all looked horrified.
Sonic on the other hand needed to do something to keep the birds distracted, he then looked at the floor and quickly got an idea it might not work but at least he would go down trying.
The ship crew were about to grab them when they then heard a tap against the floor, everyone turned their heads to see Sonic who looked nervous.
Before anything could continue he then tapped the floor again with his foot, he realised it was working and knew what to do.
He began tapping over and over again which started a beat to which he then sang.
Sonic: There once was a ship that put to sea The name of the ship was the Billy of Tea The winds blew up, her bow dipped down Oh blow, my bully boys, blow (huh)

Before anyone could say anything a loud steamy whistle blew causing the group of birds to forget what they were going to do.
“All right! That’s lunch!” No one could even process what happened as they all ended up in a dining room and were all served food.
“What?” Was all Twilight could say still confused with what just happened, she looked around the room and was in shock of how calm the workers were being.
Sonic was just left dumbfounded at how his distraction worked, he also managed to somehow do the distraction long enough for the whistle to blow.
Rainbow was just as confused and decided to speak up. “Whoa, whoa, whoa! So you were about to toss us overboard and you stopped for a lunch break?” Twilight leaned forward giving Rainbow a stare.
“Storm King only allows one break a day for meals, then it's back to hauling goods.” Sonic perked his ears up.
“So you don’t do anything fun?” To which he got a shake of a head in return.
“So you’re delivery guys?” Spike asked to which Celaeno responded.
“And gals. These uniforms aren't exactly doing us any favors.” Twilight who felt a little optimistic pulled out the map.
“Then can you deliver us to Mount Aris?” To which Celaeno replied solemnly.
“Sorry. We do what the Storm King orders or we suffer his wrath.” Sonic took notice of how utterly defeated she looked, he needed to at least make their time fun.
“Right. still going overboard.” Twilight concluded.
The Pink bird spoke up. “Eh, it’s nothing personal. Pudding?” She asked, which made Rarity perk up.
“There’s pudding?” She then received the same food they were all served.
“Well at least you have friends to hang out with, that’s something to look forward to… Right?” Sonic spoke up trying to make the group of birds, feel optimistic.
They turned their heads and faced the Hedgehog. “If we wanted to we would, but when you’re put into a position where you could lose a part of yourself for not following orders, it limits what you can and can’t do with friends.” Celaeno explained, which made Sonic feel bad for asking.
“You weren't always delivery birds, were you? What about before the Storm King?” Rainbow questioned.
Celaeno looked up. “Yeah. We used to be much more adventurous.” She replied while pulling a poster of the Storm King out of the way, which revealed a flag with a skull on it.
“Ooh! I met that guy in the desert!” Pinkie called out, Rainbow went wide eyed. “Whoa! You used to be Pirates?!”
The eye patched bird sitting next to her and Applejack corrected her. “Um, we prefer the term "swashbuckling treasure hunters".”
“So… pirates.” Sonic said.
After a squawk Rainbow looked up determined. “You birds have a choice to make. You could let some cloven-hoofed Storm King tell you how to live your lives, or...” She flew over to the poster of the Storm King and ripped it off.
“…You could be awesome again!” Twilight realised what was about to happen. “Rainbow Dash, this really isn't a good time for a—”

(Before we continue once again nothing really changes so just imagine Sonic is there doing similar things to the characters.)

Captain Celaeno: Hey Scallywags, it's time to be awesome
Everyone (Except Twilight): Hey Hey Hey Hey
Captain Celaeno spun the wheel. “Come on! Let's show these little ponies how it's done!” The rest of the crew pulled on some ropes, which caused the top of the ship open its wings that were in the colour of a Rainbow.
Most of the group looked on in awe while the Pirates looked proud, the ship sailed across the sky brighter then ever, thanks to the sun shining down on it.
“Awesome! I knew you had it in ya! And now for the finishing touch!” Rainbow Dash flew up into the sky high above.
“Rainboom! Rainboom! Rainboom! Rainboom!” Pinkie chanted, which made everyone looked excited.
Except for Twilight her pupils shrunk knowing that this was bad. “No no no no no! No!” Sonic caught wind of her panic.
“What’s wrong with her doing a Rainboom?” Twilight quickly whispered into Sonic’s ear, which made Sonic go wide eyed.
“Oh crap.” He faced up at Rainbow who flew down at incredible speeds, there was nothing anyone could have done to stop her.
The cone surrounding the Pegasus became thinner as Rainbows covered it.
BOOM!!!
A giant Rainbow ring appeared as a rainbow trail followed the speeding Pegasus, “Aw, yeah!” She flew around the ship creating rainbow rings it was a sight to behold.
Twilight could only groan before face hoofing, Sonic looked at her. “At least it can’t get any worse.” He said with a shrug and a nervous grin.
Tempest Airship: Meanwhile
A bit of distance away however was Grubber who had a slice of cake in his hand ready to be eaten, he opened wide ready to devour the goodness when all of a sudden…
BOOM!!!
A large rainbow ring appeared in the distance revealing a ship, Tempest went wide eyed realising where the Princess was along with that Hedgehog.
“Looka that rainbow! Looka that rainbow! Whoa, that'th so cool!” Grubber commented.
Tempest smiled evilly. “Yeah. Of them to alert us.” She then frowned and faced Capper. “Funny, though. They don't seem to be heading to Black Skull Island.”
Capper became nervous seeing his lie be destroyed, right there and then. “Like "ha ha" funny or... ha ha...” Tempest moved over to the steering wheel and knocked Grubber away spinning it fast.
She then pushed down on switch which made the ship go faster, as it turned leaving a long smoke trail behind.
Pirate Ship
Two swords clashed as Celaeno and Rainbow Dash had a sword fight, Boyle along with AJ, Rarity, Fluttershy, Spike and Sonic stood there watching with smiles.
They had a good laugh and Sonic decided to do something fun. “Hey can I borrow those swords really quick?”
Both Rainbow and Celaeno looked at each other before nodding, they gave him the swords to which he smirked and began.
“Who dares interfere with me ship!” Sonic asked to no one in particular while wearing a Pirate hat with a sword in hand.
Another voice then appeared. “I have, because this ship never belonged to you!” Everyone turned their heads to see Sonic once again, this time wearing a red hat with an eye patch as well.
“Oh so ye think, you can come aboard unannounced!” He zoomed back over.
“Yes! Because I did so already!” He then swapped over again. Everyone watched in surprise seeing how he was just being two characters, even Twilight looked on with admiration for his acting.
“I suggest giving up against me or you shall walk the plank!” Captain Sonic ordered.
“Never!” Pirate Sonic replied before throwing his sword forward like a javelin.
Captain Sonic did so as well with both swords hitting each other before falling on the ground, Pirate Sonic ran up to one of the swords and threw it near where Captain Sonic was, it resulted in it getting stuck into the wooden wall.
Captain Sonic stood there defeated, he looked at his “adversary” that stood before him. “You give up now.”
“I yield! I yield!” Captain Sonic replied, to which Pirate Sonic did a midair spin before landing and doing the… ugh Floss.
“Sonic, one. Captain, zero. I’m sorry. Did we get that on camera?” The others looked dumbfounded.
“How did you even do that?” Rainbow asked.
“I have no idea!” Sonic replied before returning everything back.
“That was fun.” Celaeno looked at him with a smile.
“That sure was kid.” Sonic smiled back at her before looking at everyone else who had smiles of their own, he then felt sad for some reason. He couldn’t figure out what it was.
“Uh could you give me a minute please?” They all nodded with Spike being confused, Sonic then walked up to the nose of the ship and sat down admiring the view of the sky.
He then heard footsteps behind him. “Hey can I sit next to you?” Sonic turned around and saw Spike standing there innocently, Sonic nodded his head.
Spike walked over and sat down next to the Blue Hedgehog. “So why did you come here by yourself?” Spike asked.
Sonic faced him with sadness before staring back at the open sky. “I’ve never really gotten this much attention and care before, and I feel like I don’t deserve it.”
Spike was taken aback, ‘Why would he not want any attention or care for that matter. Is it because of something that happened?’ “What makes you say that?”
Sonic looked reluctant but knew he had to tell someone. “Well to tell you the truth, I feel like all of this is my fault.” Spike grew more confused to which Sonic saw.
He sighed before continuing. “You remember the night before the Friendship Festival?” Sonic asked, Spike raised a brow, but he spoke anyway.
“Yeah. Why would you ask me that?” Sonic hesitated to talk but he finally caved in.
“You remember what happened on that night?” Spike was still confused. “There was a loud noise, that caused us all to wake up, why would you wanna-“ Spike froze, he took in what Sonic was trying to tell him which made realisation crawl across his face.
“Wait… you caused… the loud noise?” Sonic nodded solemnly.
“Yes. But it wasn’t just a loud noise, it was a Blue explosion that spread across Canterlot and who knows how far. And ever since The Storm King invaded, I feel as though I’m reason he’s even here. Why Tempest is after ‘Book Master’. All because of me.” Sonic explained, which made Spike go wide eyed.
“But why did you do it?” Spike asked, Sonic looked more sad as the talk progressed, with another heavy sigh he continued.
“I didn’t mean to but something was bound to happen, after spending Thirteen Years in isolation.” Sonic saw Spike grow a pity look.
“And I saw the playoffs on the baseball field, which made me want to join in. But when I played by myself and did it no one was there to give me a high five, or a compliment.” Spike felt more sorry for the Blue Hedgehog as he continued to explain.
“And I guess my emotions got the better of me, but ever since we’ve gone on this journey I’ve felt like I shouldn’t even be around you guys. Because I caused all of this to happen in the first place.” Spike realised how bad Sonic felt about this, he was feeling guilty and depressed.
“So go ahead, say what you want I probably deserve it anyway.” Sonic closed his eyes and looked down at the ground, he wanted to cry but why should he, he doesn’t deserve any pity.
He then felt something attach to his body, he looked down to his right and saw Spike hugging him. “Hey don’t blame yourself because of this, Nopony could have saw this coming not even You. Besides I know how you feel being alone and such, but don’t worry cause once this is all over I will hang out with you to make you happy.”
Sonic was surprised, ‘Scales’ forgave him and was willing to hang out with him and be a friend. Sonic finally smiled before hugging back the young dragon.
“Thank you Spike.” Spike opened his eyes in shock, for the first time Sonic had said his name, in fact it was the first time he said any of their actual names.
Spike quickly got over the shock and continued to hug the Hedgehog. “Your welcome Sonic.” It was Sonic’s turn to widen his eyes for the first time in Thirteen Years his name was said by someone other than himself. (End Song)
Sonic couldn’t feel any happier right now, they continued to hug for few more moments before departing from it. They walked back to the others who looked at them, with raised brows.
“Uh where did ya two go?” Applejack asked, to which Spike replied.
“Just a little area to have a private talk.” Both Sonic and Spike chuckled at this, making the others more confused.
Before they could continue talking a bell rang for everyone on the ship to hear, they turned and saw The bird Squabble pointing out to the clouds.
They looked where he was pointing, and saw a ship coming towards them at a fast pace. “Storm guards! Looks like they found you!” The group realised who was on the ship.
“Tempest!” Twilight yelled with fear, Celaeno drew her sword. “Secure the rigging! Lock down the cargo! Everyone, prepare to be boarded!” Boyle ushered the group to head to the cargo, which they did quickly.
They all walked to the back with fear huddled up together. “Ya think she saw my sonic rainboom?” Rainbow asked nervously, Twilight glared heavily at Rainbow Dash. “Are you kidding me?!”
Sonic placed a hand in his face, and could say one thing. “Why couldn’t I keep my mouth shut.”
All of sudden Tempest’s ship shot a harpoon that was connected by a chain, it made impact with the Pirate ship causing it to tilt this made the Pirates lose their balance, while the group in the cargo crashed against the wall.
The harpoon then attached itself to the ship preventing it from moving, Tempest’s ship came closer until it eventually was close enough for Tempest, Grubber and some Storm Creatures to board.
They jumped on with the pirates having fear go through their bodies, Tempest was here and she was as emotionless and blunt as ever, they knew what she was capable of.
Tempest then marched across slowly. “Where is the Pony Princess?” She asked.
Celaeno walked over to a list. “"Princess"? Prin-Cess, Prin-Cess... Nope. All we're hauling is Storm King merchandise.” Squabble pick up a bobble head of The Storm King, he pecked it making the head bounce around.
Tempest smirked she knew they were lying. “You do realize that if you were to shelter fugitives, the Storm King would be quite... explosive.” Celaeno gulped nervously realising they couldn’t lie their way out.
Pirate Ship Cargo
Twilight looked up with worry, she had heard the threat Tempest had made if this continued on for too long they were bound to be found, she quickly faced the rest of the group.
“We have to get off this ship before they tell Tempest we're here!” Twilight whispered loudly, she wanted to trust the Pirates, in fact she did but didn’t want to run the risk of capture.
Rainbow on the other hand looked hopeful. “We helped them get their mojo back! They're not gonna give us up!” Twilight looked at her friend in disbelief.
She looked at everyone else, Rarity was breathing heavily with Spike trying to comfort her, Fluttershy was hiding behind some crates shivering on the spot, Applejack simply sat down and waited for the end, Pinkie hopped into a crate, while Sonic hugged himself muttering quietly.
Twilight shook her head frowning at how Rainbow found hope at all, she then looked to her left and saw a banner of The Storm King, she then looked down to see another crate with rope and supplies as well as a lever to open the hatch below.
She smiled confidently. “I’ve got this!”
Pirate Ship Deck
Tempest was walking slowly towards the group of Pirates she knew that the group of Ponies, Dragon and Hedgehog were here she just had to find them.
“Now, I'm gonna count to three, and if you don't tell me where they are, your ship is going down. One...” The Pirates glanced nervously to one another.
Pirate Ship Cargo
Twilight grabbed some rope and the banner with her magic and gave them to Rainbow Dash who looked confused. “Hold this!”
Rainbow could only reply with one thought. “What are you doing?!”
They noticed Twilight grab the lever with her magic.
Pirate Ship Deck
“…Two…” Tempest glared waiting for an answer, Celaeno gripped her sword glaring back at the Unicorn. “Oh, thith is inteeenth!” Grubber commented with a cupcake in hand.
“Three!” Tempest was ready to fire when a sudden noise stopped her along with screaming that came from below, she turned and faced the door that led to the Cargo hold.
“What?” Celaeno breathed a sigh of relief glad that they made it out, but now she knew that Tempest wasn’t going to be lenient in the slightest.
Open sky: Below Pirate Ship
The hatch door in the Cargo hold was wide open showing the abyss below, The group had fallen out of it and began free falling with the banner, rope and crate falling alongside them.
“Oh, for Celestia's sake!!!” Rarity screeched.
Pinkie was also screaming but eventually stopped and began laughing embracing the fall, Fluttershy looked down to see the ground closing in on them. “I can’t look!” She used her wings to block her eyesight.
Rarity was seen screaming normally before coming across a mirror, she quickly stopped waving at herself before resuming her scream this time more dramatically.
Sonic who was taken by surprise of the fall quickly spread his arms and legs out to slow down his pace, he noticed Spike who was below him.
He quickly dived down moving faster and managed to catch Spike. “Thanks Sonic!” The Hedgehog nodded in reply and returned to trying to reduce his falling speed.
Twilight accessed her magic and quickly flew around catching everyone including Rainbow Dash who looked annoyed.
She put everyone into the crate to which she grabbed the rope and the Banner, and quickly spun around said crate while attaching them together.
She tied a tight not on the side of the crate to stabilise it before getting into said crate grabbing Spike, she fell on her back pushed down on Spike’s belly causing him to breathe Fire upwards into the banner.
After falling for a few more seconds the group were pulled right back up in the now makeshift Hot Air Balloon, nearly missing the ground.
They all sighed relief with Spike breathing heavily form the amount of fire he breathed. “Phee-yew! Quick thinkin', Twilight!” Applejack complimented.
Twilight couldn’t contain her excitement from the victory. “Yahoo! Ha ha!” Pinkie came up next to them.
“That was fun! Can we do it again?” Rainbow Dash who had hopped out flew behind the balloon. “Next stop, Mount Aris!” She announced beginning to move the balloon forward towards the mountain.
“We’re home free!” Twilight celebrated, the others agreed as well with their own cheers.
Sonic smiled happily, they were going to do it the only thing left to do was to find the Hippogriffs and stop The Storm King.
“We’ll be home soon mom… I promise.” He whispered which was heard by Twilight who smiled at him. “Don’t worry we’ll get their help and once we restore everything back to normal, we promise to reunite you with your mom.” Twilight said.
The rest group nodded in agreement, which made Sonic smile even more, he then looked back up at the sky where they had just fallen from.
“Am I the only who hopes they’ll make it out okay?” The others looked where he faced and gave their own murmurs of agreement.
How much they wish to have known what was happening up there.
Pirate Ship
There was nowhere to run. No place to hide. The only to leave was off into the clouds below. The Pirates and Capper were backing up slowly away from Tempest who stared them down like a dog on chain.
The Storm creatures were going around searching the place, while two of them stood guard preventing escape.
Grubber came up from the cargo with items in hand. “There'th no ponieth. But I found thith. It'th a... kind of a cupcake... with thprinkleth... Oh, yeah, and I found thith, too.”
He showed the map that the group had been carrying around, Tempest grabbed it and was in slight surprise seeing where they had went.
“Wow, this is a real artitht!” Grubber commented.
Tempest stared at the trapped individuals with a blank stare mostly aimed at Capper. “Looks like they're heading to Mount Aris.”
Capper became nervous. “Really? Mou- Mount Aris? I... Well, that's my mis— I didn't know that... Mount Ari... My bad, I didn't... That's my... I'm sorry, I'm very very sorry.”
Tempest was having none of it and lit up her horn. “Now, about your betrayal…” Capper and the Pirates looked on in fear, Tempest then fired a bolt of magic, towards some boxes before it rebounded to other parts of the ship.
This ended up causing the ship to fall, Tempest, Grubber and the Storm creatures quickly left leaving the group of birds and cat on the now destroyed ship.
Parts of it fell below into some water, starting with a barrel, then the steering wheel followed up by a chunk of the ship itself causing a massive splash of water.
How could things get any worse for the Pirate Crew and Sly Cat.
The group had successfully arrived at Mount Aris after a little crash, they began climbing up the mountain’s stairs slowly but surely, making their way to the top.
Sonic who was following closely behind Twilight, Spike and Rainbow Dash was smiling a little bit, glad that they were finally going to succeed in their mission, but that happy thought was interrupted by Rarity’s whining.
“We had to crash the balloon at the bottom of the mountain! That's it! I simply... cannot... even! I have nothing! The bad guys have won! I'm so sorryyyyyyyy-y-y-y!”
Sonic frowned and quickly sped his way back down the steps to Rarity. “Hey you could’ve asked me to carry you up!” He said with an annoyed tone.
She looked up at him with a frown of her own. “Sorry if I’m whining but we’ve been going up these stairs for so long!” She continued, only receiving deadpanned stares from the others.
“Uh hello, we started going up these stairs three minutes ago!” Before an argument could happen, Rainbow Dash flew above and called down. “We’re almost there!”
Rarity was beyond annoyed. “Will you stop saying that!”
Sonic retorted. “Will you stop complaining.” He earned a glare in return.
“No really! We’re actually here!” Rainbow replied, Sonic smiled and scooped up Rarity bridal style and ran up to the top, he managed to also pick up Applejack, Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie as well.
They made it to the top and Sonic placed the four Mares down on the ground, Rarity shook in place after experiencing the speed. “What was that?!” She screamed at the Hedgehog who rolled his eyes.
“Listen ‘Drama Queen’ you were complaining the whole way so I made the journey shorter for you, so can you shut it!” Rarity glared heavily but kept quiet to his relief.
“Thank you!” He finished, before looking at the sight in front of them, two Eagle like statues stood tall, with an entrance in between.
“This is it!” Twilight whispered loudly with a wide smile on her face, the others also commented on the sight in front of them as they began walking forward through the entrance.
As they walked forward they had happy and excited faces, but they were slowly changed into looks of uneasiness and fear, this place was abandoned and old, fog was covering the place alongside the worn out structures.
“Are we sure this is the right place?” Rarity asked, Applejack looked at her surroundings. “Hello?! Is anypony home?!”
Pinkie popped out of nowhere. “No Hippogriffies here!” She then started popping in everywhere around the place. “Or here! Or here! Or here or here or here!” Holy crap she’s in my room! Annnddd she’s gone.
“Waaaaaiiit!” She fell from nowhere and landed in front Twilight looking at a rock on the floor, she lifted it up and found nothing underneath it. “Nope! This place is emp-ty!”
Twilight looked on confused and worried, did they come all the way out here for nothing? “But... Celestia... The map. They have to be here.”
Sonic walked over to a Hippogriff statue with Spike following closely behind. “Something bad happened here. Something that turned this whole place into a ghost town.” Spike said, causing Fluttershy to get scared.
“A g-g-g-g-ghost town?!” Then the sound of some humming appeared making Fluttershy gasp and push her mane over her muzzle in fear.
They all turned to face the direction of the sound, seeing an entrance blocked by some rocks that had fallen to cover it up. “It’s coming from over there!”
Twilight moved forward and found a way through below the blocked entrance, she lit up her horn and crawled underneath with the others following suit.
They navigated through the darkness of the cave, looking around at how it all looked broken and lifeless.
They then entered a massive room which had two giant statues that looked like ponies, with water streaming down them, with a giant lily flower sitting in the middle of the water.
It had a bright yellow glow emanating off it, the sound was coming from this lily or whatever was inside of it.
The group saw it and froze in place cautious as to what it could be, Pinkie stepped forward and accidentally broke a part of the stairs causing the humming to stop. “What was that?!” The figure spoke.
The figure jumped into the water diving below, Pinkie bounced forward. “Hey! Wait up! Cannonball!” She jumped into the water, causing a splash.
The others ran down the stairs and hopped in with Sonic staying out of the water. “Pinkie!” Twilight called to her friend worried.
They all went in to which Pinkie came back up and spat out some water. “She’s gone!” The others were confused but noticed a certain Hedgehog not with them.
“Hey where’s Sonic?” Spike asked.
“I’m right here!” Sonic called to them, they turned around and saw him standing on the edge of the floor, out of the water. “Dude why aren’t you coming in?” Rainbow asked, Sonic looked nervous.
“I uh… let’s just say I’m scared of water.” The others looked at him deadpanned.
“Seriously?!” Applejack asked, to which Sonic nodded.
“Yeah I don’t know how to swim.” Before they could continue, the sound flushing appeared making Twilight groan. “Now what?” They all ended up getting caught in the swirling vortex that appeared.
The lily went down under the water continuing to take them. “I hate epic adventures.” Rarity commented. They all screamed on their way down.
Sonic saw what was happening. “Oh no! I gotta help them! But I really hate water! Uh screw it, if I’m losing a life I might as well go out trying!” He then jumped into the vortex barley before it started to close.
He screamed as well before being sent out into some deep dark water, alongside the rest of the group. He regained his barings and opened his eyes seeing everyone else with their eyes closed.
‘What do I do?’ he asked himself, he then with all of his effort tried swimming to the others, but he only ended up getting to Twilight whose eyes were barely open.
He looked around and saw nothing to help him, this was how they were gonna go. He looked back at the Lavander pony, and hugged her he wanted to have some comfort before leaving the world.
A hoof slowly crawled around his back, he looked up to see Twilight trying to hug him, her eyes were opening and closing trying to keep awake, Sonic was also trying his best to stay awake.
But all efforts were futile and thus both of them closed their eyes and slipped into darkness.
???
Suddenly Twilight breathed heavily, opening her eyes. She looked around and noticed the object around her head was a bubble, she placed her hooves on it testing it’s strength.
“Way to leave it to the last minute, Twilight!” Pinkie said breathing heavily.
“I didn’t make these bubbles!” Twilight replied, she then noticed the feeling against her body, and saw Sonic holding onto her.
“Oh Celestia are we dead! Is this the afterlife! Can I finally see mom!” Sonic asked to no one, only to open his eyes and see that they were still alive, he also noticed everyone looking at him with confused looks.
He then realised he was holding Twilight quickly letting go and blushing in embarrassment. “Oops sorry!” He then began sinking. “Oh crap could use some help!”
He was grabbed by Spike who helped him stay afloat. “Thanks Spike.” To which the Dragon nodded.
“Who made the bubbles then?” Fluttershy asked. They then saw a figure swim by them, causing them all to gasp and huddle together.
Twilight grew enough courage to speak. “Hello? We’re looking for the Hippogriffs.” A ball of light appeared in front of them.
“How do I know I can trust you?” The ball of light asked with suspicion.
“Please. The Storm King invaded our land. And we need their help.” Twilight answered holding Spike close to him, which in turn had Spike holding Sonic.
“The Storm King?!” The light asked to which it moved forward and changed into a creature that had a yellow coat, blue hair and fins along with red wings of sorts, it even had a pearl.
“I'm so glad I saved you guys! I'm totally taking you to my mom!” she swam up to them and grabbed Twilight’s hoof and dragged her along with her friends in a line.
“Does your mother know where they are?” Twilight asked.
“Ooh! She might have an idea!” The creature replied in a singsong voice. This made Twilight cheer as she and her friends were taken to find out about the Hippogriffs.
Sonic was smiling brightly. ‘We’re so close, don’t worry mom you won’t have to wait much longer!’
After traveling through the cave for a few seconds the group managed to get out and saw a beautiful sight, it looked like a chandelier of sorts that was humongous.
It glowed brightly making its presence known, the group made their amazement known as they looked on in awe with Spike spinning in a circle while Sonic rode on Twilight’s back, his weight being non existent.
They swam up to the giant structure not noticing the residents of the place, staring at them with fear. The group swam through the hole that was at the bottom of massive structure, and we’re ready to meet the queen.
Sea Kingdom: Throne Room
Princess Skystar who was the one who saved the group, swam into the Throne Room and and lifted her arms to show the group, the size of the place. Inside were some guards along with the Queen on her throne.
Skystar quickly swam over to the Queen. “Mother, look what I’ve found!” Skystar clapped her fins together quickly excited to show her mom the group.
“Is it another shell? Because I am telling you if it is another shell, I am—” She looked down at the group and gasped loudly, she faced her daughter with disapproval.
“Princess Skystar, whatta you done?! You know surface dwellers are forbidden here! Guards!” Four Guards quickly swam over and pointed their spears, at the group who huddled together.
“No no n-no! M-M-Mom, please! It is so not like that! The Storm King is trying to destroy their home, too!” Skystar explained.
“We need to find the Hippogriffs. Do you know what happened to them?” Twilight asked, to which the Queen changed her tone.
“Well, of course I know. I'm the queen. I know everything.” Sonic looked up at her.
“Do you know Star Wars?” Sonic asked, to which everyone stared at him with questioning looks. “Wait! Wait! None of you have seen Star Wars?!” They all shook their heads.
“Dang it, we are going to have to fix that, after this whole adventure.” Sonic finished, Skystar swam in front of her mom, who crossed her arms.
“Oh, oh, it’s such a good story!” Skystar exclaimed excited.
“Don’t you dare tell them!” Her mom exclaimed with a frown, but her daughter did it anyway.
“Once upon a time, like, a while ago, the Hippogriffs did live on Mount Aris.” This made the group all ‘Oooh’ at the same time.
Her mom facepalmed. “Did I not say don't tell them? But hey, I'm just the queen. Don't mind me.” She swam over to her throne.
“Fine! I can't tell you! But if I couldtell you, I'd say that that horned beast did show up to steal their magic!” Her mom looked deadpanned while the group kept interest.
Skystar continued the story. “But, to keep it out of his clutches, their brave and majestic leader, Queen Novo, hid them deep underwater where he could never go! We are... Well, we were the Hippogriffs! Ta-da!” She laughed before whispering to the group. “But I totally did not tell you that!”
Her mom knew she couldn’t do anything about it and just gave up trying. “Well, I guess the pearl is out the oyster now. I am Queen Novo.”
“That is so cool!” Sonic whispered, Applejack swam forward. “Hold on now. Lemme get this straight. When the Storm King came, you just abandoned your entire city and fled?”
Skystar swam down to correct Applejack. “We didn't flee! We swam! Y'know, in order to flee.”
Twilight raised a brow. “But… how?”
Skystar perked up and went up to her mom. “Oh! Can we show them? Huh? These are the first guests we've had in, like, foreveeerrr! Can we, can we, can we, can we, can we, can we, can we, can we, can we?”
“Well, I suppose I should make sure it still works.” Novo swam up and circled the giant jellyfish that was above everyone.
It then lowered down a tendril of sorts which slowly released the Pearl. “Careful, now.” She put her fin over the pearl, before pushing out some of its energy.
It made its way over to the group, removing their bubbles and transforming them from their regular selves into Seaponies.
Their hind legs were gone along with their tails which turned into fins, and some of them grew back wings.
All of them were excited, Rainbow Dash swam around quickly and cheered raising her hooves up into the air, while the others tested it out Spike unfortunately got um… “Guys? Guys? What is…” Spike who was now a Pufferfish puffed out. “…Happening?”
“Aw, so cute!” Fluttershy commented. They then looked over and saw Sonic who looked the exactly the same as he did before, but he could breathe without a bubble and had little platforms that appeared beneath his feet.
He took a step forward to see the platform under that foot had disappeared and reappeared where he placed it, he flashed a grin before taking off with his arms behind his back, he ran around the group, Skystar and Novo before running like he was on a loop with a blue trail following him.
He ran back to the group and laughed with happiness. “Oh yeah baby! I can run underwater!”
Twilight who showed the most excitement swam over to the Queen. “This is amazing! With this, we could transform everypony at home into something powerful enough to face the Storm King's army!” Novo covered the Pearl.
“Or it could end up in his greedy claws!” Twilight looked upset. “But…”
Novo sighed. “Honey, I'm sorry about your home. I truly am. But my responsibility is to protect mysubjects. The pearl...” she put it back where it belonged. “Is not going anywhere.”
Twilight swam in front of her. “But we've come all this way. And you can't just hide down here! Trapped forever! There's so much you're missing!”
Novo wasn’t convinced. “We are one hundred percent ok with that!” Then a random creature swam over to Novo and talked to her.
“Yes, Jamal?” The creature talked some more, and got Novo excited.
“Ooh! Time for my seaweed wrap.” She swam away to go do whatever she was going to do with the creature following suit.
The rest of the group came up to Twilight. “So that's it? We left home for nothin'?” They all faced Skystar who got excited.
“Oh, my gosh! Best... idea! You can stay with us! Forever! There are so many things we can do! We can make friendship bracelets out of shells and... picture frames outta shells and... decorative wastebaskets out of shells... Oh, I have so many projects that involve shells, haha! Now I have someone new to share them with! I mean, aside from my friends, Shelly and Sheldon. Right? "Shelly"?”
The group looked on nervously while Pinkie found it exciting Skystar brought the shells closer to the group. “And "Sheldon"? Get it?”
“That sounds lovely, darling, but you must realize, we can't stay.” Rarity admitted not trying to hurt Skystar’s feelings.
“We’ve gotta get back to our families.” Applejack admitted. Sonic felt sadness come across him, he had no family, was he gonna have to be on his own again?
Skystar felt upset after this. “Oh, no. Of course. Of course. Heh. Of course you have your own friends back home. It's fine. It's fine. Heh. [whispering] Shelly and Sheldon get jealous anyways. Heh. It's probably for the best. [sighs] Yeah, I'll just, um... [sadly] I'll get Mom to, uh, turn you back so you can go home.” Skystar swam away, and Pinkie swam forward with a sad frown.
“I know we have to go, but you guys saw how disappointed Princess Skystar was. Couldn't we stay for just a little longer?” Pinkie requested, Applejack wasn’t on board. “Pinkie, we just don’t have the time for—“ But Twilight suddenly interrupted.
“Oh no. No no. Pinkie’s right.” The group raised brows. “Say what now?” Rainbow asked confused, Twilight elaborated further.
“Well, we still need to come up with a plan to get back. A few minutes won't make a huge difference. And if there's anypony who can cram a lifetime of fun into a blink of an eye, it's Pinkie Pie!”
Twilight continued facing her friend. “So, go ahead and show Skystar the best time ever!”
Pinkie smiled brightly. “I won’t let you down!” Pinkie saluted.
Twilight pushed her friends away with Pinkie to go and have fun, after she was sure they left she looked up at the jellyfish which had the pearl, she just had to figure out how to get it.
She swam up to it ready to act out her plan when all of a sudden. “Book Master?” Twilight stopped moving and looked behind her to see Sonic standing there with his brows raised.
“What are you doing?” He asked walking towards her, Twilight knew she was caught, maybe she could somehow lie.
“Well I wanted to stay here to come up with a plan.” Sonic caught on to her nervous tone.
“Oh okay I’ll be making my leave…” He began walking away making Twilight breathe a sigh of relief. “except…” Twilight froze again and saw Sonic turned back around.
“…The ‘Book Master’ would usually be thinking of the plan, and not looking up at the pearl. Sounds to me like you want to take it, am I right?” Twilight got more nervous.
“What? No, no. I’m not trying to steal the Pearl. I’m just… uh.” Sonic’s brow raised even more. “Ok fine I am trying to steal it.”
“Why? Why are you doing that?! That’s not the ‘Book Master’ I know!” Sonic exclaimed pointing at her.
Twilight knew she couldn’t back away now. “What does it matter to you? I’ll just take the Pearl and we’ll go home.” Sonic grabbed her hoof preventing her from swimming to it.
“You aren’t going to that missy, we’ve gotten this far already, we’re not going back to square one!” Twilight yanked her hoof away from Sonic’s hand.
“Whether you like it or not, i’m going to get the Pearl, it’s the only way!” Twilight swam up for the Pearl to which Sonic ran up and blocked her path.
“Sonic please! I need to get the Pearl!” She tried to go around him only to be blocked repeatedly. “I’m sorry ‘Book Master’ but we can’t make risky choices right now. Please just let our friends convince Skystar to have a good time, do it for us. Do you want to disappoint the Princesses.” Twilight froze in place.
He was right she was so focused on getting the Pearl, that she had just used her friends to try and get it so they could stop The Storm King, she would be going against her title. ‘Princess of Friendship.’
She stopped and looked down before facing Sonic. “I’m so sorry, I didn’t mean to go that far. I was just so desperate, I, I—“ She was cut off when Sonic placed his finger on her mouth.
“Hey look I understand. The stress was getting to you, sure we’ve almost gotten caught by Tempest, but we’re still here. You know what let’s go help them.” Twilight smiled and nodded.
“Thank you Sonic.” He nodded in return, Twilight began swimming towards their friends, with Sonic about to follow when all of a sudden a tentacle wrapped around him, causing him to yelp.
Twilight saw this and got worried. “Sonic!” She swam up to him and tried to pull him out by his hand, only for more tentacles to wrap around him and tie him up.
Twilight swam away to prevent getting caught herself, then the room started to flash red as an alarm noise went off, they both had looks of horror in their eyes.
“Oh no. No, no, no, no, no!” Sonic said repeatedly trying to get free only to fail.
Before either one of them could think of what to do they saw Queen Novo, Skystar and their friends come in and Novo looked furious.
Sonic and Twilight knew they were in trouble. Which was only justified when he gulped nervously. “Abra-Kadabra?”
Sea Kingdom: Meanwhile
The group along with the Seaponies, Skystar and Novo all cheered happily after they sung and danced together, this was best time of their lives in years.
The Mane five hugged each other, with smiles they had managed to cheer up Skystar and Queen Novo.
Novo looked at the group. “Well, I guess there is one small thing we can do.”
The group smiled with excitement when all of a sudden an Alarm went off loudly, making them gasp.
Novo and Skystar looked around hearing the Pearl alarm going off, Novo looked at her daughter with a stern look.
They quickly swam into the throne room and saw Twilight looking up at a tangled Sonic who was trying to pry himself free, both of them then looked at group and had looks of horror.
Novo grew an furious look, to which Sonic gulped nervously. “Abra-Kadabra?”
Novo swam over and took the exposed Pearl. “Wait! This is a mistake, we weren’t trying to take the Pearl I promise!” Sonic yelled.
But all word fell on deaf ears. “All of this so you could sneak in and take the pearl?!”
“No! I didn’t mean to cause the alarm!” Novo refused to listen, and grabbed Skystar pulling her away from the group who were heartbroken.
“This is why we don't bring strangers into our home!” she faced Sonic with a glare that pierced into his soul.
All of a sudden the Pearl reacted and hit Sonic with a beam, this caused his eyes to glow white as a screen appeared.
It showed from Sonic’s eyes him running around in circles around the Baseball field getting faster until he screamed. “AHHHHHH!!!” The bright blue explosion spreads across Canterlot making Sonic stop. “I’m pretty sure no one saw that giant blue explosion, right?” He then ran off.
It then switched to when they were on the Pirate Ship. “And ever since The Storm King invaded, i feel as though I’m reason he’s even here. Why Tempest is after ‘Book Master’. All because of me.” He explained to Spike.
It all faded away and Sonic’s eyes went back to normal, Everyone looked at him with shock and he realised what just happened, he looked at Novo who scowled at him. “You don't deserve to be one of us.”
She used the Pearl and transformed them back to their normal selves, but not before transporting them out of the Kingdom.
Mount Aris: Coast
In the water just off the sandy beaches of Mount Aris, the group rose up and breathed heavily. They all almost drowned even though they were sent away from the Kingdom they were still a bit below the surface.
Sonic was seen riding on Twilight breathing heavily as well.
They eventually reached the shore, Sonic hopped of Twilight and walked forward away from the group and sat down he grabbed his quills and squeezed the water that was in them.
After doing so he closed his eyes and took a deep breath, he reopened his eyes and looked behind him to see everyone looking at him, with glares from Twilight, Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie.
While Fluttershy and Spike looked worried, Sonic knew why they were looking at him like this he couldn’t avoid it anymore.
Sonic continued looking at the group no longer dawning a smile but more of a sad frown, they had just seen what he had done on the Canterlot baseball field.
Which led to them knowing why The Storm King even invaded them in the first place, Applejack was the first to break the silence. “You mean to tell me! That y’all the one who made The Storm King invade our home!”
Sonic was taken aback by her angry tone, but sighed and replied. “Yes… but not intentionally.” He admitted, Pinkie was the next one to speak.
“The Queen was going to say yes! But then you set off the alarm!” Sonic grew annoyed. “That was an accident especially after ‘Book Master’ here decided to risk the chance to save our home!”
The others raised brows and looked at Twilight. “Oh you guys don’t know, you see she wanted us to go and help Skystar while she could take the Pearl!”
They all gasped and looked at Twilight with frowns. “I never would have done it but this isn’t Equestria! Besides you stopped me from doing so, but why didn’t you tell us about the Blue Explosion you caused?!”
“Well…” Sonic stammered.
Twilight pushed it further. “Did you think it was ok to betray our trust?!”
“No!” Sonic replied growing more angry by the second, the others were starting to get worried.
“Then why did you do it?!” Sonic faced away from them and gritted his teeth electricity sparking on him. “Because…”
“Because what?!” Sonic snapped around to face her. “IT WAS BECAUSE I WAS SCARED OKAY!!!” The outburst caused them all to step back in surprise, they also noticed his eyes change from green to blue as electricity appeared on his quills.
“After I caused the explosion I felt guilty about it! And I didn’t tell you guys because if I did, I would have lost the first friends I’ve had in years!” The others were to say the least shocked.
“And you should know that better than anyone! ‘Princess of Friendship!’ But I guess you aren’t that considering you almost botched everything!” Twilight grew an angry look now.
“Well I’m doing the best I can!” She stomped her hoof forward. “We can’t just dance around with con artists, make rainbooms in the sky and expect everything to work out! because we are not enough!”
“Yeah but you are also the one, who can’t even trust her own friends!” Sonic spat back, Twilight finally snapped and marched up to him.
“Or maybe we would have been better off without somepony like you!” Her horn flared with its normal lavender hue before it suddenly made both Twilight and Sonic’s eyes glow white.
???
Twilight opened her eyes and discovered she was floating in a dark void. “Where am I?” She darted her eyes around the place, she then remembered what had just happened.
She had yelled at Sonic out of frustration from the adventure, she then remembered how her horn flared and then everything went black. ‘Wait am I…’
Her thoughts were halted when she heard noise behind her, she spun around and saw something play. It was of Sonic when he was younger and had lost Longclaw.
‘Was that a memory from Sonic’s childhood?’ She then looked to the right and saw another memory, this time being the baseball field except this time she got to see why Sonic caused the explosion.
’He was alone. I can’t believe it, he was just looking for friends to be with.’ She felt more guilty as each memory came one after the other, then she came across one last memory.
It showed Sonic walking into a cave and grabbing something from his quills, he grabbed and revealed a white feather.
Twilight then saw something that shook her to the core of her soul, Princess Celestia was there in a vision Sonic was having. ‘Wait why is Princess Celestia here? Unless… no way…’
”Mom.” That one word was what made everything click for Twilight. Sonic’s mom was Celestia herself, and not only that but he’s been alone for a long, long time with his last parental figure, presumed dead.
’He was alone for so long and he felt so guilty. No wonder why he didn’t tell us! And I yelled at him and my friends, it’s All. My. Fault.’ She couldn’t delve any further as everything started to go white, until it consumed everything including Twilight.
Mount Aris: Coast
A total of five seconds had elapsed as both the Hedgehog and Alicorn stood there with white glowing eyes, then both of their eyes returned to normal both feeling dazed from what just happened.
Twilight shook her head before realising she was back to reality, she quickly looked behind her to see her friends with shocked faces of hurt.
She remembered what had happened before entering Sonic’s mind, she gasped silently before facing Sonic who was walking away slowly. “Sonic, I—“ But Sonic beat her to it and raised his hand up.
“I just can’t talk right now.” He continued to walk away silently, Twilight with the little courage left tried to approach him.
“Wait! I just need to—“ Sonic however spun around, facing her with raw rage and hurt on his face with his eyes, quills and body sparking.
“LEAVE ME ALONE!!!” Twilight along with the others took a step back from the sheer volume of his voice, it was filled with pain and sorrow from years of isolation.
His face slowly changed to one of remorse as he turned away with regret, slowing walking the opposite direction of the group.
The rest of the Mane five did so as well looking at Twilight with disappointment, she had messed up big time.
Spike walked up beside Twilight and reached out his hand to the others but could do nothing, Twilight turned the opposite way and hung her head low walking away slowly, tears brimming her eyes.
Mount Aris: Cliffside
Off by the edge of Mount Aris was cliffside that led to the sea below, that crashed against the rocks that populated the area.
Twilight walked up to the edge head still hung low, she sat down and let the tears spill from her eyes, unknown to her Spike walked up slowly behind her. “Twilight? It's okay. You'll figure it out.”
Unfortunately it didn’t work. “No! I can't. I ruined everything! There's no chance to save Equestria now. And I yelled at them because of a misunderstanding. It's all my fault!” She weeped heavily, tears falling from her eyes.
But she realised that Spike had gone silent, this made Twilight look to her right. “Spike?” She faced his direction only to gasp.
A Storm creature held Spike preventing him from moving, he tried speaking but it came out muffled. Twilight readied her horn for an attack when a cage came down and prevented her from doing anything.
She was trapped. “No, no, no, no, no! Noooooo!” She looked down and called for her friend.
“Spiiiiiike!!!” Spike breathed flames on the Storm creature’s arm causing it to let go of him, Spike ran forward calling back to her friend. “Twiliiiiiight!!!” It was futile, he wouldn’t be able to reach her.
He quickly ran back for the others to try and get help. The last thing Twilight saw of the outside world disappeared as she entered the ship.
Inside of the ship was Twilight in her cage, the light above shined down brightly preventing her from seeing what was above, she tried firing magic at the bars that surrounded her.
It did nothing as if her magic had been restricted. She tried slamming her body against the cage which also didn’t work, she fired another blast of magic only to see Tempest walking down the stairs that led into the room.
Twilight gasped she was truly stuck, and had been caught so easily by the one who’s been chasing her this entire time. Tempest came closer and walked around her. “Aww, the "Princess of Friendship". With no friends! And no way out.” She chuckled mocking the Alicorn.
Twilight felt hurt she was alone. “Why are you doing this? You're a pony! Just like me.” She said, Tempest then moved forward and slammed her hooves against the cage, causing Twilight to yelp as magic zapped around her cage.
“I'm nothing like you! I'm more than you'll ever be!” Twilight watched as Tempest began to sing.

Twilight placed her hoof in front of her face after her cage rose up to the deck of the ship, before adjusting her eye sight to see Canterlot had been fully taken over, she couldn’t believe it.
She looked down in sadness, Tempest came up and walked forward. “I’m so sorry you felt so alone.”
“I saw the truth. My "friends" abandoned me when times got tough. Looks like I'm not the only one.” Twilight looked away ashamed.
Tempest looked at her with a blank stare. “Face it, Princess. Friendship has failed you, too.” She stared forward.
Twilight looked back over. “Friendship didn't fail me. I failed friendship. And most of all I failed at helping him.” Twilight looked forward as well.
“You mean that kid, he won’t be too far.” Twilight perked up. “What do you mean?” Tempest smiled evilly.
“He’ll come running back, and soon he will have to give up just like you.” Twilight remembered seeing Sonic’s memories, his power from what she gathered was limitless.
Meaning it could… ‘oh no, he’s a goner if it gets taken from him by force!’
She wanted to say something but couldn’t, she sat down defeated and waited for the inevitable arrival, to Canterlot.
The group who had walked away from Twilight all sat down, they all looked defeated with all hope gone from their eyes.
But Sonic on the other hand looked crushed he sat there looking towards the open sea with his knees curled up, and his arms sat on top of them with his hands hanging.
Rainbow scraped her hoof across the dark sand, head on her forelegs. Fluttershy brushed her mane for some comfort. “This whole journey was such a mistake. All we wanted was somepony to help us.”
She looked over at the others before looking at Sonic who still sat there, he hadn’t made a sound since their fight with Twilight, the others also looked at the Hedgehog.
They were all angry at him before but now they weren’t so sure. Applejack who had been silent sighed heavily. “Ya think, maybe it's time we talk to Twilight?”
The group were about to respond when a voice broke the abrupt silence. “She's! Been! Taken!!!” Spike came from behind one of the large rocks running.
The group faced him with shock, Rainbow Dash flew over. “What?!” Spike stopped right in front of her and explained. “Twilight's been taken! Tempest! She grabbed her! And took her on her ship!”
Everyone gasped. “We gotta get her back!” Rainbow stomped her hoof down, only for Fluttershy to speak up. “How? We'll never catch up!”
Applejack then further evaluated their dilemma. “And we got no way to defeat those monsters.” Everyone looked down once again.
Sonic only looked at them he was also in shock but didn’t stand, he turned away and looked at the ground, a shadow of a figure appeared before them. “Well, good thing I happen to know of a group of mighty heroes that could handle this easily!”
They all turned to see Capper on top of a rock looking down at them. “Well! Look what the cat dragged in! Himself!” Rarity said angrily.
Capper ignored her and continued. “These heroes have faced the Storm King's army and escaped! I've seen them tackle the streets of the roughest towns, break out of the tightest situations, and inspire others to join their cause!”
Everyone except for Sonic and Applejack oohed, Applejack walked forward with a frown. “Now don't get too excited. He's just talkin' about us.”
They all groaned, Capper smiled and slid down the rock. “They even escaped certain doom at the hooves of Commander Tempest!” He finished with a flip and landed on his feet.
Rainbow Dash smiled. “Yeah. That was pretty great.” Another voice appeared. “Are you kidding me?!” They looked up and saw the Pirates standing tall, they jumped down and landed in front of the group.
“That was awesome!” Squabble squawked in agreement.
“Figured you could use a claw!” Boyle said with his fake hand raised in the air.
“We're on board to help you fight the Storm King! Just not on board our... actual ship.” She explained.
Mullet stepped forward. “That crazy unicorn sunk it. But you got back our argh! And we're ready to kick some booty.” The pirates got out their weapons showing they were ready.
The water of the sea started to ripple as a golden light shined from below, they all turned to face it they then saw a figure appear in the sky as it shot up, and it was none other than Skystar.
She spread her wings out revealing she was a Hippogriff instead of a Sea Pony, Capper was the first to recuperate himself. “Is that what I think it is?” Skystar flew down and landed.
“Hellooooooo!! Me again! I'm gonna get so grounded, but I talked things over with Shelly and Sheldon and they pointed out that you were just trying to help your friends.” Pinkie smiled happily.
“So I wanna help too.” She flew over to Pinkie. “'Cause ya know... one small thing...” She leaned over to Pinkie’s ear. “can make a really big difference!” Spike looked deadpanned.
“That's it, right? We didn't make friends with anypony else?” All of them seemed ready to go.
Pinkie quickly looked over past Skystar. “Sonic you in!” She then noticed he wasn’t there. “Sonic?” They looked around until Spike pointed towards their right.
They all saw Sonic walking away slowly, leaving footprints behind. “Sonic?! Hey where you going?” Pinkie asked catching up to him.
“I’m leaving like I should have done.” He told her, pinkie along with the others followed him. “But we can’t give up now! Don’t you remember, we can save your mother!”
Sonic stopped moving and faced her slowly. “I can’t, not after I lied to to guys.” They all noticed the amount of defeat in his voice, long gone was the confident and happy go lucky voice.
“Besides I caused him to invade Canterlot in the first place, because I couldn’t keep my powers in check!” Capper, The Pirates and Skystar were watching this unfold, never had they seen someone so depressed.
“And because of my powers I lost my mom, your friend and Longclaw.” The Mane five and Spike didn’t know what to say, he blamed himself for everything.
“Who’s Longclaw?” Fluttershy asked, slightly backing away just in case it was too personal, but Sonic just shook his head.
“It doesn't matter anyway, all I’ve done is mess things up for everyone.” His response was met with looks of empathy.
“But darling you’ve done amazing things!” Rarity countered. Sonic looked up at her with sadness still in his eyes. “Oh yeah? Okay tell me one thing I did right, on this journey.”
Everyone stopped at that question, as they thought back to everything that has happened, Capper was the first to speak. “You helped these little ponies and dragon by fighting Tempest.”
Sonic’s ears perked up, he did do that. “You helped us from being taken by the river.” Rainbow said next, Sonic was starting to smile a little bit.
“You also showed loyalty to us when we went to find the Hippogriffs, by coming after us even when you were afraid of… water.” Fluttershy explained.
“And most of all, you gave us something that is hard for anypony to do.” Sonic was confused by what Spike had said.
“What?” Spike smiled and replied.
“Hope.” Sonic immediately froze, he thought back to everything that had happened over the course of this adventure, he had not only helped inspire others but gave the group hope to continue forward.
“Wow. I-I never thought about it like that.” He admitted, his smile starting to come back slowly.
Then Celaeno came forward and kneeled down to eye level with the Hedgehog. “We also noticed how much fun you were having as well as making others laugh, and that stunt where you played two different pirates was Awesome.”
Sonic had a single tear slide down his face, he smiled fully this time Celaeno stepped back as Skystar came forward this time. “Also there is one small thing I can give you, that can help.” She pulled out what looked to be some shoes, they were red and had a thick white straps going across.
“Woah.” Sonic said in awe, Rarity walked over. “I believe it needs a little magic touch.” She used her magic and the shoes changed to be a lot more like a normal shoe.
Sonic couldn’t hide his amazement. “No one has ever given me a gift before.” He quickly took of his old shoes and put on the new ones.
He ran in place a little bit and did a tap dance before spinning around laughing. Everyone else smiled at the sight, his confidence had returned at full throttle.
“All right, y'all! I think our course is clear. Y'all ready to do this thang?” Capper announced, Pinkie stepped forward.
“We’re coming, Twilight!” She declared, everyone cheered ready for this upcoming battle. “As soon as we bake up a plan!”
Canterlot
Back in Canterlot everything was awful, Ponies were locked up, others were being pulled to follow Storm creatures, another pony was a stool and was shaking at the legs while another was massaging the same Storm creature.
In the distance singing could be heard from Songbird who was also locked up. “I am here and I see your pain Through the storms, through the clouds, the rain I'm telling you you can not escape!” A nearby Storm creature came over and knocked on the cage making her stop.
She then heard a wheels squeaking as she saw Twilight in a cage of her own, they both made eye contact for a few seconds but Twilight looked down, she couldn’t bare to look at anyone.
Canterlot Castle: Throne Room
The doors to the Throne room opened as, two Storm creatures stepped aside for Tempest to walk in with the trapped Twilight, both of the ponies pulling the carriage were looking down depressed.
But Twilight was worse after what had happened earlier, she couldn’t do anything to fix this. Twilight looked up and silently gasped at Celestia who was still trapped in stone, she understood how Sonic must’ve felt seeing that happen.
Her cage was placed down in the corner of the flower logo on the floor, she looked at the ponies who were forced to leave her behind, Grubber closed the doors and laughed.
Twilight looked at Tempest who walked up to her. “Tempest, don't do this. Don't give the Storm King—” she was cut off.
“Your magic? Did you think you'd keep it all to yourself? Time to share.” Tempest turned around. “I'd love for everybody out there to know what I can really do.”
A silhouette appeared in the door behind them that lead to the balcony. “Ooh, fascinating! What can you really do?” They both turned to see The Storm King walk into the room.
Tempest quickly gained composure and stood up straight. “Your bidding, of courth, Your Mighty One.” Grubber bowed, but felt awkward he made his way to the door and left the room.
“Bidding sounds great but I couldn’t care less for it from, a simple minded creature.” He looked down and saw Twilight. “Um, what are you supposed to be?“ He asked losing his serious tone.
“I’m the Princess of Friendship!” The Storm King reeled back in laughter wiping a tear from his eye. “Oh good one and I thought Grubber being part of this army was a thing… wait your being serious!” He couldn’t believe it.
“Well then.” He faced Tempest with anger. “Why is this one still moving?”
Tempest was quick to respond. “She and her friends put up a bit of a fight, but she's alone now. She won't be a problem.”
The Storm King nodded, and walked past Tempest. “Alright now the one thing I’m wondering is how to extract the magic from these pests.” Twilight felt fear, this guy didn’t care about anyone else.
“Your majesty I thought you would of had to is figured out?” The Storm King snapped his head towards her. “And your lucky I won’t have to place your remains around the room.”
Twilight knew what he meant by that and slowly walked away from The Storm King in her cage. “Deliver the punchline, Tempest, because this has gotta be a joke!” He slammed his staff into the centre of the flower causing it to glow.
The glow traveled through Celestia up through her wings and into her horn, it glowed a yellow colour before it blasted towards the crystal on the staff.
The same happened with Luna and Cadence before making its way to Twilight who felt it, her eyes glowed purple as her magic was draining from her. “No!” She screamed.
The Storm King laughed maniacally, he was gathering so much power from these Princesses. It not only affected the four Alicorns, but all of Canterlot as it lost colour and became lifeless.
After a few more seconds it stopped and Twilight felt weaker than ever before, this was worse than when Tirek had taken her magic, because she was first off defenceless and secondly she was trapped.
Twilight fell down exhausted, the colour on her body was faded. “Now give me the quill.” Twilight looked up slowly, what did he mean?
Tempest grabbed the quill she had been holding onto since leaving Canterlot, The Storm King grabbed it and placed it onto His staff and its energy made the staff even more powerful.
“Now let’s get this Storm started!” He announced, he faced Twilight who had fear in her eyes. ‘That much power in one quill!’
She didn’t have time to notice the blast that came at her.
Canterlot Castle: Balcony
She was sent flying out onto the balcony and slid across, her cage dismantled into parts that surrounded her, The Storm King stepped out.
“That was good, I might as well have fun with this before officially be ridding you of this world.” He said to Twilight.
“Your Excellency, you promised to restore my horn and give me—” He waved his hand in front of Tempest. “Okay, let’s see here.” He aimed his staff around at the sky and saw the sun move, he looked over and moved his staff again.
The sun moved wherever he pointed to. “No way! I can move the sun! Now I have more reason to have fun!” He walked next to Twilight and dropped something on her.
“Think of this as your last parting gift.” He moved over to the balcony’s edge, Twilight looked at what he had dropped on her, she couldn’t believe her eyes right now.
It was Sonic’s pouch of rings, she remembered how Sonic told her about using them and got an idea of using one of the rings to escape. ‘But if I use one now they’ll catch me! I hope my friends come back.’
“Why would you give me this?” Twilight asked, The Storm King faced her. “Why would I need silly gold rings, when I have all of this power in my grasp!” He utilised the staff’s power and started to play some music.
He began to dance to it while moving the sun and moon, he did many cool moves such as skiing, robot dancing and so on and so forth.
Twilight faced tempest who looked unsure about this, why couldn’t he just give her horn back?
She walked past the Alicorn behind her master and watched him continue to dance, Twilight looked behind her with a thought on her mind. ’Sonic I’m so sorry.’
The sun and the moon kept on moving a few more times before finally coming to a stop, and on the way towards the entrance was a cake like a really big cake.
On top of it was Spike who acted like a candle and the Mane five were pulling it with downed faces, Capper however walked in front of them with a chef’s hat and apron with a paper in hand.
The Storm creatures guarding the entrance blocked his way as he looked up at them. “Uh, yeah, I got a delivery here for a Mister "The Storm King". I was given explicit instructions to bring this here cake to this here castle's throne room.”
The Storm creatures looked at the cake and the ponies, they weren’t convinced and pointed their weapons at the cat. “All right, then. Look here. Could one o' y'all go be a pal, go tell your boss he's not gettin' his "congratulations on subduing defenseless pastel ponies" cake? 'Cause I don't wanna be the one responsible for the big guy missin' his special dessert. You know what I'm sayin'?”
He walked over to the group and looked at Pinkie who looked up at him with a frown, he held out three fingers and counted down, when he finished the guards moved out of the way.
Pinkie smiled as Capper winked at her, they proceeded in. “Thank you kindly, fellas. I'mma be sure and put in a good word for the botha y'all.”
Pinkie held a wide smile while the others continued to frown buckled up to the carriage, they passed by a Storm creature who looked at them suspiciously, Applejack caught on to why. “Pinkie, quit lookin' so happy! Ya ain't foolin' nopony!” Pinkie understood.
“Oh! Okay!” She then made one of the saddest frowns and winked at m—… yep I’m not gonna question it.
They walked on through passing nearby captured ponies and menacing Storm creatures, in a nearby pie stand Grubber popped up with two pies in both hands.
He then noticed the giant surprise on the carriage. “Oh, hello, cake!” His eyebrows moved up and down, he threw away the pies he was holding and hopped up onto the carriage.
“Ooh! Don't mind if I do!” He swiped his paw across it revealing an eye, he didn’t notice it at first. “Mmm! That's some, like, gourmet ithing!” He then noticed it and leaned closer. “Who putth eyeballth in filling?” it then blinked.
Grubber panicked and yelled. “Guards!” Squabble came out and pulled Grubber inside, however the guards turned to face the group of ponies they were caught.
They came in closer blocking their path. “Uh-oh. Plan B?” Capper suggested, Rainbow wasted no time. “The jig is up!” She then bucked the carriage with one leg.
The cake burst open as the Pirates, Skystar and Sonic jumped out, and landed. “Come on!” Celaeno yelled they all launched forward.
Boyle swung his hook knocking away the Storm creatures weapons, Skystar avoided them and swooped down grabbing a guard and dropping him on four other guards, who surrounded Spike.
Squabble placed a floaty around one making the Storm creature drop his weapons, Lix Spittle poked a guard in the butt making him yell in pain while she laughed.
Applejack tied a rope around a guard and made him fall down, while Capper and Rarity tripped three guards with a massive ribbon and wrap them up in a bow. “Lovely!” Rarity said.
Pinkie then came from nowhere with a present. “Surprise!” She gave it to the guard and left, the guard took it and looked at it with curiosity.
Only for Pinkie to pop out of it with a cupcake. “Double surprise!!” She smacked him across the face and began spinning her forehooves in circles with cupcakes, coming from nowhere.
They kept on hitting the guard who fell down after taking to many of them at once, Pinkie laughed like a maniac and even sounded demonic.
Fluttershy stopped running after a weapon pierced the ground in front of her, she looked up and saw the guard glaring at her with intimidation.
She lost her fear. “You seem tense. Do you wanna talk about it?” Oh god it’s adorable.
The guard became confused. Celaeno and the Pirates kept on fighting the guards, she managed to kick one of them away with the help of Rainbow Dash who flew down.
She locked weapons with a guard and looked at the group, and noticed how many there were. “It might take a little bit before you can get to the castle!” Sonic who had been helping out a little bit saw a Storm creature try to rush him.
“Sonic watch ou—“ Spike’s voice came but it suddenly stopped as did everyone else, except for one that is. “Really?” Sonic asked to the frozen Storm creature, he smirked before running off.
Sonic ran slow as he navigated around and even smiled when he saw what Pinkie had done, he proceeded to take all of the Storm creatures weapons and place them above their heads.
He then moved everyone out of the way as he proceeded to grab a very long pennant, and run around the creatures legs and even managed to tie it to a nearby lamppost.
He then ran around the place and freed all of the Ponies that were locked in cages, and all of the Ponies who were prohibited from using their magic or wings.
He then tied a trio of guards together with some other items he found around the place, and smiled at his work.
He then returned to where he was standing at the start and stepped to the side pointing out his leg, and everything returned to normal speed. (End Song)
The effects were immediate, the guards who had their weapons taken from them were down for the count as said weapons fell on them, most of the guards fell over from the pennant, the trio of Storm creatures fell on the ground tied together and all of the ponies were freed.
The final Storm creature ran forward only to trip over Sonic’s leg and smash into a stand knocking him out cold, the group of heroes came to and saw the aftermath, they were confused until Sonic came up next to them.
“So should we continue?” The Mane five (except Fluttershy) and Spike nodded. Celaeno and the rest of the Pirates saw the Storm creatures getting back up.
“Head for the Castle! We’ll hold them off!” The others nodded. “Come on!” Rainbow Dash ordered as they ran off with Capper and Skystar. They also ran past Fluttershy who comforting a crying guard.
“Let it all out.” She then heard her friends call her name. “Oh! Sorry, our time is up. Buh-bye!” She hopped away and followed her friends, the guard waved to her still crying.
The group began making their way up towards the castle, but a squad of guards followed closely behind them, Skystar faced them. “Keep going!” The others did so and continued forward.
She brought out her two clam friends. “Shelly? Sheldon?” She threw them and managed to successfully hit a guard in the eyes, the rest of them ran past her but she managed to pick up one and take him away.
Canterlot
The Mane five, Spike, Capper and Sonic made it up to the top of the stairs only to encounter, more Storm creatures. (You know what I’ll call them Storm guards!) “Uh-oh!” Applejack said aloud.
Capper got an idea. “Hey, ain't you a fire-breathin' dragon?” Spike smiled up at him and was grabbed by Capper who aimed Spike at the guards.
They were all catching fire as Capper continued to use Spike as a flamethrower, the group advanced forward successfully making their way towards the castle.
Canterlot Castle: Balcony
Up above on the balcony Tempest and Twilight saw what was happening. “What?! How?!” Tempest growled.
Twilight looked down and gasped happily her friends were here, she even saw Sonic who seemed to be having fun. “It's... It's the Magic of...”
The Storm King then appeared from nowhere. “Yeah, yeah!” He grabbed them both in a fake hug. “Friendship, and flowers, and ponies, and bleh! I’m sick of this brainless pony garbage. This will all… end… now!” He aimed his staff up and began performing a spell.
He spun the staff around in a circle motion as the dark clouds above, started to come down in a spiral, the others who were below noticed this and were immediately hit with a strong wind.
Twilight and Tempest watched the tyrant use the staff to create a tornado, that had lightning appear out of it, Canterlot also became darker as well.
Canterlot
The group below realised how bad this would get. “Move them hooves, ponies!” Capper yelled, they all made a run for it as other Storm guards were ready to grab them.
Unfortunately the guards were swept away into the tornado, the group hid behind a stand and noticed how powerful the tornado was. “You'd have to be flying faster than a speeding Pegasus to break through that wind!” Rainbow exclaimed, seeing the Storm Guards being tossed around.
Pinkie gasped heavily at that. “Excellent idea, Rainbow Dash!” They all looked at her as she put on a helmet. “Pinkie are you thinking, what I’m thinking?” Sonic asked.
“Yes I do ‘Mr Needlemouse!’” Sonic smiled and together with the rest of the group went to go an in act Pinkie’s idea.
The Storm King stood there with his arms out wide, he had successfully created a storm with the power of his staff. “Now I truly am the Storm King! And the entire world will bow before me!”
The Storm raged on and Tempest walked forward. “Yes, yes, you are every bit as powerful as I promised, Sire, now, restore my horn and I swear to use my magic to serve you!” She bowed, but then laughter came from the king.
“Who cares about your dinky little unicorn horn?!” He pushed past her, and she was in shock he had lied to her. “But... we... we had an agreement!” She ran in front of him.
He chuckled eviliy. “Are you this stupid?! Everyone should’ve known that this was gonna happen! The villain backstabs his right hand man… or pony in this case. But don’t worry you’ll be remembered as the head on my wall!”
He began blasting Temepst with his staff missing as she dodged each one, she then blasted her magic at his own and it caused a mini explosion, causing them both to fly back.
Tempest grabbed hold of the balcony clinging on for dear life, while The Storm King hit the wall and fell onto the ground.
Twilight gasped she had a choice here, to get the staff while she could or save Tempest, she knew what to do.
Tempest was doing all she could to hold on but began to slowly let go, her strength finally gave out as she was grabbed by the wind of the tornado, before she could be taken Twilight grabbed hold of her hoof.
“Hold on!” Tempest was in shock why did she save her, after everything that has happened. “Why are you saving me?” Twilight who had a good grip smiled. “Because this is what friends do.”
Tempest was amazed this was true friendship, something she had forgotten over the years because of her childhood, she smiled at the Alicorn who managed to pull her back to safety.
Twilight placed a hoof on the Unicorn and they stared into each other’s eyes for comfort, only to be interrupted. “Awwww! Isn't that just so sweet!” The Storm King walked up to them laughing, and pointed his staff at them which began to power up. “See ya!” Both Twilight and Tempest looked on in fear, they couldn’t run away they were trapped.
Canterlot
Back in the streets of the city Boyle, Sqaubble and Capper all stood there next to detonator that was being held by Squabble, they looked nervous. “You sure about this?” Boyle asked.
“Just do it! Thank you!” Pinkie answered making both Capper and Boyle even more nervous. Inside of the cannon the Mane five, Spike and Sonic were all squashed together ready to be blasted.
“I'm excited! Who's excited?! Aaah! I've never been so excited!” Sonic who was curled up in a ball answered. “I am! I’ve never gotten to ride this before!”
“Don’t worry cause your about to experience, the ride of a life time!” Back outside Squabble squawked ready to push down, Capper blocked his ears while Boyle sat there.
Squabble then pushed down on the detonator.
BOOM!!!
The cannon fired and all of them were sent flying at high speeds, Rarity and Fluttershy were screaming while Pinkie laughed.
Sonic started to build electricity as he went faster, they flew through the tornado avoiding its wind, and crashing right into The Storm King who was aiming his staff at Twilight and Tempest.
He was pushed back by all of them losing his staff that crashed into the window above, they all rolled around the place with Pinkie crashing up against Fluttershy. “Bull’s-eye!” She announced.
Sonic who was still curled up in a ball uncurled onto his back and stood up dazed. “Guess I had a bonus life.” He managed to regain his stance and realised they managed to successfully get in.
“Sonic!” He turned and saw Twilight walking towards him.
“You all came back! I’m so sorry! I was wrong to—“ She was cut off as Sonic ran up to her and hugged her tightly.
“I’m sorry, too.” He replied, Twilight hugged him back. “We all mess up sometimes, but that doesn’t… Holy crap that looks bad!” Sonic exclaimed pointing at the staff.
It was going haywire and blasted the roof of the room, causing it to fall onto the floor around the group, Tempest who came in was blocked as the debris surrounded her.
The Storm outside was still going getting stronger as it progressed, Twilight knew what had to be done. “I’ve gotta get control of it!” She explained.
“Go! You've got this, Twilight!” Pinkie yelled pointing her hoof at her friend, Twilight shook her head. “No. We've got this. Together.” She stated everyone came together with confidence.
Sonic was amazed by their teamwork. “That includes you too, Sonic.” Twilight finished, he nodded.
With a rope they tied around a part of the debris, Twilight flared her wings as she and her friends were in a line together, she grabbed Pinkie’s hoof followed by everyone else until it was Applejack.
Twilight flapped her wings and they lifted up into the air, trying to reach for the staff it was a little difficult due to the power of the Storm but they slowly ascended.
The Storm King appeared out of the rubble and began climbing his way towards the staff. “The staff belongs to me!” He growled.
Twilight gasped, he was going for it as well and fast, he jumped from one rock to another getting closer everyone else noticed and tried to keep stable.
Twilight reached out her left hoof for the staff with all her might. “No! That's my staff!!“ The Storm King yelled.
Twilight got closer and closer as well as The Storm King. “Miiiiiine!! Mine!!!” He jumped for it, Applejack who was had the rope around her was pulled forward. “No!” Twilight let go of Pinkie’s hoof and grabbed the staff.
But The Storm King also grabbed it and they both were taken into the Storm, Sonic saw this and went wide eyed.
“No!” He quickly hopped out of Applejack’s grip and climbed up the others, he then jumped up after the Alicorn and King, the others gasped at this and landed back on the ground shocked.
“He’s gonna get killed in there!” Rainbow exclaimed, there was nothing they could do but wait.
The Tornado
Sonic was taken by the power of the Tornado but he didn’t care as he saw his target, Twilight and The Storm King were fighting over the staff, Sonic quickly swam his way up only to see Twilight get kicked away.
He landed on a Storm Guard that was caught in the Tornado, He jumped up and managed to catch her. “You okay!” He asked, he received a nod in response and sighed in relief.
Then he noticed something the Tornado was disappearing, and soon they began to descend.
Sonic and Twilight held each other as they fell faster with each passing second, Twilight looked at the Hedgehog. “Sonic! Here!” She gave him the pouch.
“My rings!” He saw the ground approaching, and he looked over at the balcony seeing their friends watching.
He then opened the pouch and grabbed a ring as the others fell out, he pushed Twilight down and threw a ring below her, it opened and revealed the balcony.
She went through and it disappeared, Sonic screamed in fear as he neared the ground, before he did reach it he suddenly landed on a Storm Guard who was on the ground.
He bounced off of him and landed on the ground hard as everything else from the Tornado landed around the area, his rings also landed around him.
He slowly raised his head from the ground.
Canterlot Castle: Balcony
The other came out and looked up to see both Twilight and Sonic falling, with the staff nowhere in sight.
They got worried as they fell quicker, they then saw Sonic push Twilight away and throw something.
Their answer was granted when a portal opened in front of them, Twilight shot through and crashed into them softening her impact, they all smiled.
“Twilight your okay!” Spike exclaimed, they all sat up and grouped hugged each other, Twilight smiled happily she was reunited with her best friends.
She then noticed Sonic was missing, she got out of the hug and ran to the edge of the balcony and saw him laying on the ground, he slowly got back up making Twilight sigh in relief.
The rest of her friends came over and watched the Blue Hedgehog try to get up, they then saw The Storm King float down near the Hedgehog, they all sat there and waited to see what would happen.
Canterlot
Sonic shook his head but heard nearby chuckling, he looked to his right and saw The Storm King floating with the staff in hand. “Can I give you one genius piece of advice? Don’t run. It’ll only hurt more if you do. And it’s bad for your joints, they proved it already!”
Sonic however was done playing games. “All right, Storm King. You wanna get fast? Let’s get fast!”
Sonic then ran around and picked up all of his rings within a few seconds, before darting off down towards the streets of Canterlot.
The Storm King chuckled. “The hard way it is.” He readied himself before also zooming off after the Hedgehog.
Sonic was seen running through the streets, dodging stands and ponies as he tried to escape the mad king, he panted over and over again and noticed the tyrant was following him.
Ponies only caught glimpses of the two trails that moved through the streets at high speeds, The Storm King began firing bolts of magic at the Hedgehog who dodged them narrowly.
Sonic put his hand on the ground and used it to turn right down another street, avoiding the bolts of magic that were aimed at him.
He looked back and saw The Storm King close behind trailing him with full intent on catching his prey, Sonic focused on what was in front and made a left turn this time.
He passed by Capper, the Pirates and Skystar who were on their way to the castle after the storm calmed down, they were also in shock of the chase.
“I’m pretty sure you can’t turn left there!” The Storm King commented.
Sonic ran to the right and bounced off another stand, then everything froze again. ‘So, here we are again! We’ve been through so much together! Now you understand why there is a psychotic Yeti… well Storm Monkey, chasing a Super Sonic Blue Hedgehog. Want to know how it ends? Yeah, me too.’
Everything returned to normal, Sonic continued to zigzag his way through the city, The Storm King didn’t let up and he continued to shoot at the speedy Hedgehog.
Sonic then hopped up on top of a building and ran across it, a bolt of magic exploded on impact behind him, he then jumped into the air off the building and did a cool pose.
His left leg up, with his right arm across in front of him, his right leg bent and left arm straightened behind him.
Dodging over another shot of magic, he slid down the wall of another building, and hopped off and continued to run forward.
He then slid under a carriage barely avoiding the blast from behind, he got back up and continued with the Tyrant still on his tail.
Sonic was majorly confused. “How is this possible?! No one’s ever caught up to me before!”
He grabbed a ring from his pouch and thought of a different place and threw it.
Crystal Empire
Shining Armor was walking with Flurry Heart in his arm when he heard a noise behind him, he turned and saw a portal that led to Canterlot but he saw something blue coming at him.
“Coming through!” Sonic yelled as he came out and passed the pair, Shining Armor was about to demand an explanation but saw another object fly out, and realised it probably wasn’t the best to ask.
Sonic ran through the streets and threw another ring ahead of him to another place.
Klugetown
Sonic and The Storm King went through the portal and arrived in Klugetown, Sonic smiled with confidence. “Here we go! Room to open it up!” He ran through the many alleyways and streets in hopes of losing the villain.
But it proved ineffective, he even ran on some walls which didn’t help at all, he returned back onto the path and threw another ring.
“I can’t lose him!” He exclaimed as he passed through the portal.
Badlands
Sonic entered the desert of the Badlands only to nearly be hit by a bolt of magic, that caused the sand next to him to erupt up into the air.
This caused his pace to become slower, as he did his best to avoid sand getting into his eye, he managed to get enough time to burst forward again.
More bolts were sent his way as they traveled across the barren place, after running a bit more Sonic slid across while doing a spin and watched as the King flew past him.
Sonic noticed the sand that came up and got an idea. “If you can’t beat ‘em, blind ‘em.” He ran over to where The Storm King was and ran circles around the villain.
This created a Sand Tornado that wasn’t nearly as strong as the Storm King’s Tornado but it was enough to blind the Tyrant.
“Lost… visual contact!” He said, Sonic continued to do it and quickly made his way up a tall pyramid structure, The Storm King saw this. “Your not allowed up there! It one of the seven wonders!” He growled, not acknowledging what he had just said.
He then flew out from the Sand Tornado and made his way towards the Blue Hedgehog, he charged up his staff ready to fire.
Sonic threw another ring to where this chase started, before he could successfully make it through though, the blast of magic exploded right behind him, causing his body to be flung through the portal.
Canterlot
Everybody arrived on the streets and were trying to figure out what was happening, then a portal opened up catching them off guard.
Then an explosion erupted out of it as Sonic came through and made impact with the ground, he slid forward as his rings went away from him off to the side.
Everybody saw him and gasped in silence, but they then noticed something else coming from the portal, The Storm King slowly floated through the portal and into the city of Canterlot once more.
Ponies got scared and backed away screaming in fear, The Mane six, Spike and Tempest came out from the direction of the castle, they heard The Storm King laugh as he floated a bit of distance away from his target.
Twilight noticed the pouch of rings and picked it up, she had a plan so rash it would give Rainbow Dash a run for her money.
“You’re an Astonishing little creature. It’ll be fun to take you and study how you work from the inside out. Any last words?” Sonic tried to get up but failed. “Friendship… I like that word.” He fell unconscious after that.
“I don't have to tell you how much power breakthroughs will be made possible by testing you. You're being very selfish.” A portal opened up right next to him.
“Going my way?” He turned and saw Twilight. “What the—“ He didn’t have time as Twilight jumped through and grabbed him, they got into a fight.
Twilight managed to punch him, only for The Storm King to punch her back. “Who the heck do you think you are?!” He asked only to get punched hard in the face.
He was then grabbed as Twilight held him down. “I’m the ‘Book Master’ you son of a—“ She couldn’t finish as she was elbowed by The Storm King who then grabbed her and threw her down onto the ground.
She landed hard and felt pain go through her body. “You Ponies don’t understand, how hard it is to fly!” Twilights friends came over to help her. “Twilight? You okay?” Applejack asked, her friend nodded as she tried to get up.
They turned their gazes to the The Storm King. “Why? Why would you throw your life away for this...thing? That's why I don't have friends. Next thing you know, you're somebody's best man, they want to have the wedding out of town... Like nobody has anything better to do!” The group scowled at him, but he didn’t care.
“Anyway, where were we? Oh, yes--you were about to die.” Suddenly a Bullet of magic hit his Armor, he turned and saw a Unicorn standing there.
“That’s my friend your messing with!” Starlight warned, Lyra then came over and had a chainsaw and… wait where the hell did she get a chainsaw from?!
“And our Blue Devil, who, as everypony can see, is a very real creature and not at all invented by me!” Starlight felt uncomfortable, but Bon Bon came over and pushed the chainsaw down.
“Twilight...” Fluttershy whispered to her friend, she looked at where Fluttershy and her friends were facing, they saw Sonic on the ground he didn’t make a sound or any movement.
He was just laying there. ‘No… he… he can’t be gone.’ Twilight felt tears well up in her eyes but they didn’t leak.
The Pirates, Capper and Skystar who had arrived around when Twilight fought The Storm King looked at the Hedgehog with sadness, he was just trying to have a life and it was taken from him.
The Storm King was getting annoyed. “I don't mean to be indelicate here, but someone should get some ice, keep the body fresh” Twilight lowered her head while her friends glared at the King.
“He's just a silly little alien. He didn't belong here!” The Storm King continued making Twilight look back at him, she gritted her teeth and began to stand. “That little alien... knew more about being pony... than you ever will. His name was Sonic. This was his home... and he was not just my friend.” She looked at her friends.
“He was our friend!” The Mane six and Spike said in unison.
Sonic’s eye snapped open as a loud boom echoed, with a Blue light blinding everybody they all turned to see Blue lightning striking down on the Hedgehog.
The Storm King put his hand up to block the light. Slowly but surely Sonic rose up from the ground, the lightning continued to cover him as he stood up in defiance.
His injuries gone seemingly to have been healed, his quills glowing a bright blue and his eyes did the same no longer being green.
He stared at his foe from afar with a determined expression. The group smiled happily seeing their friend alive, Twilight looked at The Storm King who had worry on his face, she looked back at Sonic. “He’s all yours!”
She and her friends quickly moved to the side with everyone else. “Everypony get back!” They all did so and watched.
Sonic looked at the Tyrant. “I think you have something that belongs to me!” He clenched his fist as lightning came from the staff’s crystal, The Storm King lost his balance for a little bit not expecting this.
It went on for a few more seconds until the quill dimmed down, The Storm King grabbed it and realised that most of his power was gone.
Sonic then faced him again. “This is my power, and I'm not using it to run away anymore. I'm using it to protect… my… friends!” He stated.
The Storm King got angry he was being defied by this stupid animal, he wouldn’t lose to this thing. He stared down the Hedgehog trying to be intimidating.
Sonic didn’t let up, in fact he glared back at the King showing no fear. The Storm King aimed his staff at the him, but this didn’t make Sonic flinch.
He still had electricity crackling around him showing the amount of power that he had within him, Sonic slowly got down into a runners position, fists on the ground, right foot forward and left foot back.
Everyone were worried about how this would go down. Sonic who had his eyes closed opened them and stared back at his opponent, The Storm King smiled evilly.
He fired multiple bolts of Magic at Sonic who dashed forward, and dodged them he continued running forward until he jumped onto a wall of a nearby building and flung himself at the King.
He hit him and bounced off to another wall, he did it again and swung off a lamppost and rebounded, he did this over and over again constantly dealing damage to the power hungry villain.
Sonic then bounced back to where he started and slid across the ground in a crouched position, The Storm King was frustrated. “Now you’ve done it!”
Sonic however didn’t care. “Guess what, Monkey Man? I’m not leaving Equestria. YOU are! ‘Book Master’?” He turned and face Twilight who nodded.
She ran with the pouch of rings and got behind The Storm King, she got out a ring with success and thought of a place.
She threw it behind The Storm King and stepped back. Sonic smiled with confidence as he stared down his foe, The Storm King was angry and flew towards Sonic.
Sonic did the same and bolted at him, they got closer and closer until Sonic jumped up into a ball and smashed right into The Storm King’s chest, and in slow motion grabbed the Staff from him.
The Storm King screamed as he was sent through never to be seen again as it closed. The lightning on Sonic crackled loudly as it slowly dissipated, it eventually died down and Sonic stood up tall proud of what he had done.
An applause could be heard as Sonic looked to his right saw everyone come out, The Mane six and Spike came forward Twilight was the one to speak. “I mean we sung about it earlier but you got this.”
Sonic corrected her. “Hey, we got this.” She smiled and lifted up her hoof, Sonic gasped at this he ran around like a little kid before jumping up and pressing his hand against her hoof.
He landed on the ground and smiled at his new friend/friends, she then held out his rings. “I think these belong to you.” Sonic held out his hand to receive them. “Thank you very much!”
But Twilight moved her hoof away. “Never scare us like that again.” Sonic gave her a smirk. “You know I can’t promise that.” She gave him his rings.
Tempest then walked over. “I um… wanted to apologise… for everything, I was very foolish to believe him and—“ Sonic held his hand up silencing her.
“Hey I forgive you. After all I only interacted with you once. And plus I should apologise too for uh fighting you.” Tempest chuckled at his apology.
“Eh it didn’t really hurt.” Sonic smiled and looked back at Twilight. “So ‘Rainbow Ponies’ you ready to fix things.” They all nodded.
“Okay are you gonna explain to me about this whole ‘Rainbow Ponies’ thing or…” Tempest asked.
“Nope, sorry That's between us and the little guy. Right?” Sonic nodded, he then turned around and picked up the staff.
“Now there’s only one thing left to do.” He looked at Tempest, and held it out to her. “And I believe you should do the honours.”
Tempest took the staff carefully and smiled at the Hedgehog, who smiled back he then walked over and hugged her, she froze a little bit before giving in and hugging him back.
Starlight took action. “Alright everypony let them do their thing, it’s still a few hours until the night arrives so let’s get everything back up!”
Sonic and Tempest parted from the hug and with the group, nodded and proceeded towards the Castle, ready to return everything back to normal.
“So wait where did you send him exactly?” Rainbow asked, Sonic and Twilight snickered to which the Alicorn answered .
“Let’s just say he won’t be the only ‘fun-guy’.” Even though it was terrible, both Sonic and Twilight laughed at the inside joke.
The others gave them looks of confusion. “I don’t get it?” Pinkie said, but it was ignored as they continued to the Castle.
They all managed to arrive at the Castle within a few minutes and made it to the Throne room, Tempest and Twilight walked to the centre which had the flower on the floor.
Tempest looked at the Lavander Alicorn who nodded, Tempest then flipped the staff and placed the crystal into the floor, this caused the colour of rainbows to spread across the floor and towards the Princesses.
They began to become free from being imprisoned starting with Cadence, then Luna and finally Celestia. They were dazed from being freed but regain composure, Celestia saw her student.
“Twilight!” She exclaimed happy, Twilight smiled back. “Princesses!” She hugged all three of them happy to see them back to normal.
The Throne room was repaired as the debris put itself back in the roof, after a few more seconds they broke from the hug and smiled at each other, Celestia then saw Tempest who looked away.
“Tempest look at me.” The unicorn did as she was told and faced the Solar Princess, she was in further shock as Celestia smiled at her.
“I see you have changed for the better, and I’m glad you saw right.” Tempest processed this, she was already forgiven by the Princesses. “But I trapped you, and caused trouble for Twilight and her friends. Why would you forgive me.”
Celestia came down to eye level. “Because we saw something inside of you that needed to be opened up, and you managed to do it.”
Tempest after a few more seconds smiled. “Thank you.” Celestia nodded, she then looked over to the direction of her throne and saw another figure looking at her.
It was a Blue Hedgehog, one that was familiar. ‘Is… is that.’ She couldn’t process the thought as he spoke. “Mom?” Everyone else heard it and looked at both the Hedgehog and Alicorn who looked at each other.
Celestia could only say one thing. “Sonic?” The Hedgehog gasped and smiled happily. “Mom!” He ran over to her at normal pace, Celestia also ran forward.
Sonic ran in and embraced her, he was finally home. “Mom.” He sobbed into her fur, Celestia hugged her son back. “Sonic.” She replied tears streaming down her face.
Luna who stood there was in shock, he had returned home to them, Sonic and Celestia broke from the hug but still held each other. “I missed you so much.” Celestia said with tears still fresh.
Sonic had tears also go down his face. “I missed you too.” He whispered, Luna then walked over to him, Sonic looked up at her. “Nephew.” Sonic eyes widened.
“Wait I have an aunt?” Luna nodded and Sonic ran over and hugged her as well, the former doing so as well.
“It is alright Sonic we’re here now.” The group all stood there with mouths dropped except for Twilight who already knew.
“Wait! So Celestia is Sonic’s mom?!” Rainbow asked, Celestia nodded in response. “That… is so… awesome!” She yelled.
Sonic and Luna parted from their hug and Cadence came over. “I guess that means we’re technically cousins.” She giggled and Sonic hugged her as well.
“Cousin or not it doesn’t matter, because I have a family now.” Silence filled the room as Sonic and Cadence continued to embrace, they finally parted from the hug.
“Now what do you all say, wanna get this Festival back up and running?” Sonic asked and he received cheers from everyone.
They were ready for some fun.
Canterlot: 3 Hours Later
After three hours of work everything was back to normal, all the damage was fixed and all the ponies were freed.
Spike who was wearing sunglasses put a mic up to his mouth and cleared his throat. “Fillies and gentlecolts, get ready for a little...” The lights turned on and aimed at the pony on the stage.
“Songbird Serenade!” The pegasus flared her wings then curled them up, Twilight and her friends stood in the middle of the crowd alongside their newfound friends from their adventure.
Everyone cheered loudly. “And now, to celebrate the fact that we're all still here in one piece, give it up for Princess Twilight and her friends!” She pointed at the group.
The Mane six and Sonic smiled happily as the spotlight shines on them, they were cheered for as they managed to save them all. “And give it up for the one who, came and helped us in the time of need, Sonic The Hedgehog!”
It then shined on the Blue Hedgehog who received a loud round off applause, he never felt more proud in all his life.
They smiled at him and he even got a pat on the back from Capper, he and Twilight looked over at the Princesses who bowed to them, they bowed back in response.
The lights went out and they looked up at the stage ready for the performance, the lights came back on slowly as Songbird began.
They watched as she turned around and walked forward, all seeming to smile leaving the invasion behind them.
The song was quiet but then got louder as six other ponies with similar hair styles to Songbird, jumped out from behind her.
She raised her left wing up and did it with other one as well, within the crowd Rainbow and Celaeno hoof/fist bumped each other with respect for one another.
Rarity put black clothing on Capper who liked it, she then finished it by putting a top hat on his head that had a blue feather attached to it.
Pinkie and Skystar had a hoof and wing around each other, laughing. Skystar looked up to the left and saw her mom and four other Hippogriffs fly on down. “Mom!”
They embraced in a hug and Novo had a devious smirk. “You are so grounded!” She laughed while Skystar went wide eyed.
Songbird raised up into the air on a circular platform and continued to sing, the song impacting a lot of ponies who danced to the beat.
She then shot up into the air doing a spin move, and stopped in the air before flying down near the crowd, she flapped in front of Twilight and Sonic and nodded at them.
They nodded back to her and watched as she flew past them, they moved their eyes to straight ahead and saw Tempest all the way up the back, she walked away off to the side.
Sonic and Twilight nodded to one another, and made their way over to the Unicorn. They stood behind Tempest who was aware of their presence. “Well, that's one thing that never changes around here. The party.”
Twilight spoke to the Unicorn. “Well, I hope you'll stay. More friends are definitely merrier.”
Tempest sighed. “But, um... my horn.”
Sonic stepped forward with the Lavender Alicorn. “You know, your horn is pretty powerful, just like the pony it belongs to.”
Tempest who had finally turned to face them, smiled as she spoke once more. “I did say I wanted to show everypony in Equestria what I could do, right?”
Sonic was a little confused. “Not to me but please go on.”
Tempest lightly chuckled at his humour and shot a bolt of magic into the sky, they waited in anticipation until…
BOOM!!!
It exploded like a firework and rebounded to different parts of the sky, making a wonderful display for all too see.
Twilight smiled at Tempest with admiration who looked away in embarrassment, Sonic also looked over at the Unicorn who faced him, he nodded with a smile of his own.
They faced the sky again, it was interrupted by a familiar voice. “Nice touch, Tempest!”
The trio of ponies and hedgehog walked over. “Actually, that's not my real name.” Tempest admitted, Pinkie bounced over with the rest of the Mane six and Spike coming over.
“Oooh! What is it?!” Pinkie put her ear closer, Tempest leaned over and whispered. “It's "Fizzlepop Berrytwist".”
Pinkie gasped so heavily her eyes grew two big blue stars. “Okay! That is the most awesome name ever!” Pinkie screamed. (End Video)
Sonic smiled and looked over and saw Queen Novo, he frowned a little bit but knew he had to clean up this mess. “Hey I’ll be back in a second guys.” Without warning he took off into the crowd, leaving the group behind.
Twilight saw this and realised she still felt guilt over yelling at Sonic earlier, and they hadn’t made up yet, she followed after him but needed to wait until he was available.
Canterlot
Queen Novo who let her daughter go have fun for the night, stood in the crowd watching the show. She had to admit it was enjoyable to say the least, her attention was then turned to a voice she hadn’t heard in a few hours.
“Excuse me Ms Novo.” She turned and looked down at the Blue Hedgehog, who looked right back at her.
“What a coincidence that we meet here.” She said flatly, still feeling sour from earlier. “Look I know we didn’t get off on the right foot, but I just wanted to apologise.”
She became a little surprised at this. “I know we shouldn’t have gone near the Pearl and such, but you must know it wasn’t our intention to steal it.”
She took in his words and remembered his pleas about it all being a mistake, she also remembered the memory that was revealed. At first she thought nothing but the worst of it, but remembered that the Pearl only reveals partial bits of memories.
“I guess I should apologise as well.” Sonic was the one to get surprised this time, she was apologising to him for what?
“I jumped to conclusions way to quickly, all because of fear from The Storm King and the fact that you were different, don’t take that the wrong way.” Sonic although he was in disbelief, managed to smile up at the queen.
“Yeah I can see why… so no hard feelings?” He asked to which she nodded in reply.
They heard hoofsteps come their way and turned to see Celestia come over with a smile, both of them smiled at the Princess as she came closer.
“Hello Queen Novo, it’s been quite some time since we last met. I see you have met my son already.” Celestia began and she looked at Sonic who blushed in embarrassment.
Novo went slightly wide eyed, this little Hedgehog was Celestia’s son. This just got awkward. “I see…”
Celestia knew that it was going to be a long talk. “Sonic my son, do you mind if we have a talk?” Sonic shook his head still smiling.
“Okay go have some fun.” He nodded and walked away feeling satisfied with the apology, Celestia watched Sonic disappear into the crowd. She smiled happy to see him home once more, she faced her Hippogriff friend who was still gobsmacked.
“Please tell me what has happened.” Novo asked, and Celestia nodded and soon both of them discussed about their lives, from when they last met till now.
Canterlot Castle: Rooftop
Sonic who had walked through the crowd decided to go and get a better view of the performance, he decided to run up to the roof of the castle, which not only allowed him to see the stage much better. But it also was close enough to hear the song clearly.
He sighed and felt at peace, all worries about being alone disappeared right then and there, no longer needing to worry about walking amongst ponies. Although he saw some giving him glares (More specifically nobles), he didn’t let the stares get to him.
He then heard the distinct sound of flapping from behind him, he turned to face the newcomer and saw ‘Book Master’ who landed behind him with a smile of her own.
“Oh hey ‘Book Master’! What brings you up here?” Twilight who continued to smile while walking forward. “I saw you come up here and wanted to join you.” She explained.
Sonic nodded as if to say ‘Come aboard’. She understood and walked over and sat down next to him, both of them stared down at the wave of colours that were everywhere around the stage.
Twilight felt the guilt bite her from the inside. “Hey I… um needed to… talk to you.” Sonic took his gaze away from the ground and met with Twilight’s. “About what?” She felt her hooves shift in place, trying to get into a more comfortable sitting position.
But she then felt the hand of Sonic rest on her shoulder. “Hey it’s okay. I’m here to listen.”
She suddenly felt more comfortable and relaxed a bit. “I wanted to apologise.” The face on Sonic went from curiosity to realisation as he understood, what she meant.
“Oh from before.” He whispered, she nodded to confirm it. “I didn’t mean to say those things. I was just so stressed from everything that’s happened, and I didn’t think things through.”
Sonic felt sympathy for her. “Hey don’t worry, I’ve already forgiven you just like with Tempest. I get it, it was very scary but look at us now, we’re all still here, I reunited with Mom, my Auntie and my Cousin and the Festival is going really well.”
The Alicorn felt touched but had to disclose on another thing, that bothered her. “I also wanted to tell you about something else…”
“That you saw my memories.” Sonic finished for her, she went wide eyed.
“How… how did you know?!” Sonic laughed.
“Hello you knew about the Mushroom Planet, and I went through same experience with the Pearl earlier as well.” She sat there dumbfounded, and before anyone knew it, she started to giggle.
He also began giggling until they began laughing, which turned into them bursting out loud. This went on for a few more seconds and they finally calmed down, both breathed heavily and sighed in unison.
“So how have those secret messages been?” Sonic asked, Twilight froze and realised what he meant. “You mean you sent those notes to me!” He nodded. “But why?”
Sonic softened his look and studied her seeing the curiosity flaring, on the Lavender coat of fur. “Well you know how I… watched you guys from afar?” She nodded.
“Well I saw you look sad at times and when I got in closer to feel like i was hanging out, I would hear you say things about regretting being and Alicorn, or how you feel so lonely.
So I thought by sending you those notes it would make you feel better, and that no matter what happens you’ll always have someone or somepony to be there for you.”
The explanation made Twilight feel better, she also took into account that he cared for her even when he was in hiding. Without even thinking she leaped into him and embraced, Sonic was taken aback but fell into it regardless.
They sat there for what felt like hours which in reality was a few minutes, they both broke from the hug and smiled. They looked back down at the stage below them, it shined brightly into the sky never once losing its beauty.
Sonic wrapped his right arm around Twilight and pulled her in, she didn’t resist and did the same thing with her left wing. They smiled at each other and returned their gazes towards the stage below, enjoying the show.
Twilight then had an idea. “Hey I think we can have one more song today.” Sonic perked up at that. “Ok who’s gonna sing it?”
She pointed her hoof at him and herself. “No way! Your serious?!” She nodded.
“Okay then, let’s head down.” He ran down the Castle and Twilight flew down after him.
Canterlot
The Mane five and Spike along with the friends they made during the adventure were all talking to one another, talking about their lives and such. Not knowing what was about to happen.
Spike looked around and noticed Twilight was nowhere, he continued search his surroundings but still found nothing. “Hey guys where do you think Twilight went?” The others looked at him.
“I don’t know, but I think she went looking for Sonic.” Fluttershy guessed.
The others murmured their agreements and continued to relax, Songbird had just recently finished up her song and everything seemed to be calming down.
Just then distant clapping could be heard along with music accompanying it, they all turned their heads to see two silhouettes of figures standing on the stage.
Then lights came on as the music got louder and it revealed, both Twilight and Sonic on stage both having a microphone each. Twilight was the first to speak.
Twilight: So, we wanna stay But can't find peace while sitting still I guess we never will
Sonic took his turn
Sonic: We're on the way We won't hurry back again The journey is the end
He faced her
Twilight: I love this very moment We're speeding up not slowing
Sonic: We might know we can't win But we're dumb enough to try
Twilight: We're going, there's no maybe
Sonic: That's why they call us crazy
They both faced each other and looked back at the crowd
Both: And we'll say if anybody asks us
Hey, where you gonna go? We're off to see the world We don't need to know, oh
Hey, where you gonna go? We're off to see the world We don't need to know
The Mane five and Spike were dumbfounded to say the least and made their way towards the stage
Sonic: We never need to know Seeking boundaries to break Let's forget the ones we've made
Twilight: So we carry on Don't let good things pass us by The time we're gone will be the best time of our life
Then a new voice appeared
Pinkie Pie: I love this very moment
Pinkie arrived onto the stage but she wasn’t alone
Rainbow Dash: We're speeding up not slowing
Rainbow was there as well
Fluttershy: We might know we can't win
Fluttershy also arrived shocking the others
Applejack: But we're dumb enough to try
Soon the rest of the group came up
Rarity: We're going, there's no maybe
Spike: That's why they call us crazy
Twilight and Sonic were surprised but smile with even more confidence
Sonic and Twilight: And we'll say if anybody asks us
All of them: Hey, where you gonna go We're off to see the world We don't need to know, oh
Hey, where you gonna go We're off to see the world We don't need to know
All of them (except for Sonic and Spike): So go tell 'em we won't stop We know they can't change us We're gonna go way off the map To get ourselves back on the track
Sonic and Spike began clapping with the rest of the crowd joining in, even the Princesses did so.
All of them (except for Sonic and Spike): Go tell 'em we won't stop We know they can't change us No need to worry so much We do whatever we want, oh
Then everyone there began singing
Everyone: Hey, where you gonna go? We're off to see the world We don't need to know, oh Hey, where you gonna go? We're off to see the world We don't need to know
The applause was loud and the group bowed in respect, they all hopped off and made their way towards the friends they made outside of Equestria.
“That was awesome!” Celaeno exclaimed, the others nodded in agreement.
Celestia then came onto the stage along with Luna and Cadence. “I would like to say that today’s Friendship Festival was a success.” The crowd cheered.
“Unfortunately it is time for us to go and rest up, so thank you all for coming and goodnight.” Celestia finished. The crowd began to disperse and leave down the way they came, the group were all happy that it worked out in the end.
The princesses approached the group. “As for all of you, come inside I believe you’ve all had an adventure.” Skystar on the other hand chuckled.
“Sorry but I’ve gotta go home with mom, but I promise to come on by every now and then. Anyway goodbye everyone!” She and her mom along with the other Hippogriffs flew off into the night.
The group waved goodbye to them, before turning around and facing the Princesses again. “Come along now.” Celestia spoke as she, Luna and Cadence all began walking to the castle.
The others all began following after them, cause they were all pretty tired from the adventure and just needed to rest.
Canterlot Castle: Bedroom
Sonic walked into his chosen bedroom and he gawked at what he saw, it was pretty good size and had a very nice bed against the wall.
He took off his shoes and hopped up onto the comfortable surface, of the mattress that sat below him. He pulled the covers and slid himself underneath them getting into a comfortable position, the softness of it all made his eyes grow heavy.
Something told him this was gonna be the best sleep of his life. He smiled happily before drifting off into a peaceful slumber, he had a last minute thought. ‘I wonder what will happen tomorrow. Well I’ll just have to wait and see.’
He began softly snoring, and began dreaming of all the possibilities that could available to him when he awakes.
Two days had passed and Tempest needed to talk to Twilight, the others were all eating together. The Pirates and Capper had left the day prior to go back to their normal lives, to try and be better.
Sonic sat in the seat next to Celestia, they all had their usual talks. Sonic was talking with Celestia about what happened to Longclaw and Celestia felt heartbroken, Luna also found out and shared the same feeling of loss and heartbreak.
“I can’t believe she’s gone.” Luna said with sadness, Celestia agreed in silence.
“All I will say is that, the thing she would have wanted most was for you two to be happy.” Sonic explained, both Celestia and Luna smiled at that knowing their friend cared for them.
Twilight then walked in and sat in the seat next to Sonic. “So what happened with Tempest?” Applejack asked, to which Twilight held a smile.
“She told me, that she and Grubber are going to go around and fix the whole mess with The Storm King.” Twilight explained.
“That’s nice to know she’s already turning over a new leaf.” Fluttershy added, everyone else smiled as well. Sonic had a thought come to mind, one that bothered him greatly.
“Hey mom can I ask you something?” He faced his mother who shared a smile similar to her sister’s. “Go on Sonic.” She replied in a motherly tone.
“Well I did some thinking about something, and I just needed to know what I should do.” Celestia nodded her head so that he could continue.
“I was wondering what I should do, now that I’m here at home. What will be my purpose?” The others all ended their conversations and faced towards him and Celestia.
The Solar princess grew a soft smile. “I think there is something we can do.” She looked at everyone else who understood what she meant.
“But first let us eat.” Sonic wanted to ask further but went against it, they ate for the next few minutes and went back to their halted conversations.
They then finished up their meals and sat up, they got together. “Now we can show you.” She lit up her horn and they teleported out of castle to a nearby town.
Ponyville: Friendship Castle
They teleported into a dark room, and nothing but the sounds of their breathing could be heard. “Uh are you sure we’re in the right place?” Sonic asked, only to receive a small laugh from Celestia who lit up her horn.
“I believe some lighting is in order.” Twilight walked over to the entrance of the room and hit the light switch. Everything came on brightly, making Sonic block his eyes with his hand.
He was able to readjust, and what he saw made him lose his ability to think. “Oh, my-- Are you kidding me?” He saw all of his items from the cave in this one room.
“I can't believe it. How did you-- It's-- it's all here.” He couldn’t find the words, the others all smiled at him.
“We remembered about your cave, and took all of your things and brought them here.” Pinkie explained.
“Although I question some things.” Rarity commented.
“Welcome to your new home Sonic.” Celestia finished, he looked around amazed.
“Look at this!” He zoomed up to the window that was above him, he then zoomed back down and went around the room.
“And the beanbag?! No way! How did you even get this?! And you got it all the way over—“ He laughed and hopped onto his car bed, that looked clean and had actual blankets.
He began to… again floss, (honestly I couldn’t care less) and jumped up and down on his bed and flopped onto his back. He sat back up and the others walked over and sat next to him.
“We decided that you will live here so you can make more friends and bring peace with the residents, and you can visit us anytime if you want.” Luna explained.
Sonic was so happy. “Thank you, so much.” He managed to get into a group hug from the Mane six and Spike who held him tightly.
They then broke from it, to which Sonic walked over and hugged both Celestia and Luna. They hugged him back as well, both feeling just as happy.
“I promise to visit whenever possible.” Sonic said with determination, after breaking from the hug.
The royal sisters nodded and were ready to make their leave, but Sonic quickly stopped them. “Hey wait before you go!” They looked at him and he got out some rings.
“These will allow you to go anywhere as long as you picture it, please keep them safe and if you need me just send it here.” He gave them both a few rings, and they held them tightly.
“Thank you Sonic.” Luna thanked, Sonic nodded and together both sisters disappeared.
“So what now?” Sonic asked, the others shrugged. The doors then opened showing Starlight who came in.
“Hey I just needed to tell you—“ She saw Sonic sitting there, he waved at her. “Hi there!” She waved back.
“Nice to meet you, but I think you all need to see what happened to the map.” The Mane six and Spike perked up at that. “Uh… what map?” Sonic asked.
“Just follow us and you’ll see, after all this your new home, and you can be apart of these meetings if you want.” Twilight told him.
“And not be with my favourite group of all time, no way I’m missing this!” He hopped of the bed and zoomed over to the door next to Starlight.
She seemed shocked by his sudden speed. “Well, what we waiting for let’s go have a look.” The others got up and walked over and together they all began making their way to the Cutie map room.
Life was perfect right now. What could possibly ever go wrong.
Mushroom Planet
Millions maybe Billions of light years away was a Mushroom Planet that looked abandoned, but on this planet was The Storm King who had much more messy fur, his Armor a lot more dirty as well.
Maybe this was normal? “My grasp on sanity remains... absolute.” Or not.
He turned his head. “Isn’t that right, General Stone?” He looked at a rock that was carved in the shape of a random Storm Guard’s head, he picked it up.
“Why don't you get a head start?” He tossed it away. “Do some Rock-Connaissance! HAHAHAHAHA! ROCK-CONNAISSANCE! Come on, that's hilarious!” He then hits a random mushroom.
“What's the matter with you?!” His sanity was pretty much gone, no longer being somewhat contempt. “Here's the "sitch": Uninhabited planet, no resources, no supplies, no apparent way home... A lesser creature would die here.”
He then pulled out Sonic’s quill that had electricity sparking on it, it still had power.
“I'll be home by Hearths Warming.” He began making robot noises while walking like one, he then stopped and picked up the rock he had thrown and tossed it.
“ROCK-CONNAISSANCE!!!” He bellowed and laughed like a mad man, showing how big this place was.
“Come on! Cheer up!” He yelled, he wasn’t going to back for awhile.
In the garden of Canterlot castle was a Pony statue, it sat there in silence until a crack appeared on it and sinister laugher echoed across the garden.
Cause when he awakes he will begin the hunt.

Out in the mountains of Equestria there is a cliffside all by itself with nothing around. But then leaves start to swirl around as the wind changes direction, all of a sudden a ring portal opens up and out jumps a figure who has orange fur, Two Tails, a backpack and a gadget in his hands.
He looks at the device before looking up. “If these readings are accurate he´s here, I found him. I just hope i´m not too late!” He then jumped off the cliff before flying with his two tails like a Helicopter, he then blasts off into the distance before disappearing.
