6 months had passed. Everybody grew stronger during this period. But as they were expecting to another attack from the Legion of Darkness, A whole new threat emerged, Magic has gone haywire and it's presence in the human world is causing worldwide crisis. Monsters attacks, corruption, magic anomalies affecting oceans, nature, wildlife and weather, causing ton of destruction, to name a few. Who's behind this? Our heroes must figure it out while protecting the many cities affected...
Sunlight was in the middle of the ocean, fighting a giant, Kraken that appeared out of nowhere.
“Yesterday, it was a giant reptile that came out of nowhere, said Sunlight. And now, this abomination!! And if that wasn’t enough, i had to prevent dozen of natural catastrophes from striking highly populated cities. Earthquakes, Tsunamis, Hurricanes, Heat waves, Forest fires, Meteors and Floodings. It only the span of a week! It’s definitively caused by magic, but where does it came from?”
The Kraken tried to hit Sunlight with a tentacle that the hero dodged nimbly.
“I’m done playing with you, he said. I’ve got an anime to watch”
Sunlight did a cutting movement with his left hand.
“Tempest Slicer” he said, calmly.
The monster was sliced in half, from head to waist. The ocean was also splitted in half by the sheer power of the wind blade. Sunlight then burned the two halves of the creature to ashes.
“6 months ago, i would have never been able to beat that thing, said Sunlight. It’s crazy how much stronger those elemental gems made me. Oh well, i should probably contact my friends to see if they are okay!”

Sunlight was lying down on his back in the middle of a field.
“I’m so glad this is over!! He said. It took me 4 painful months of intensive training, but i mastered every element!!”
“You insisted on doing it the fastest way possible, said Celestia. I’m glad you had the will to go through it.”
“Well, i have no equal when it comes to magic, said Sunlight. My learning capabilities are incomparable.”
“That is true, said Celestia. Your intelligence is remarkable, on par with Twilight Sparkle. I’m glad you didn’t use it for evil...”
“Thank your student for that, said Sunlight. She and her friends exploits encouraged me to follow the path of good. Had it not be the case, i would probably have took a more violent path to stardom.”
“And i’m sure someday, said Celestia, you’ll inspire someone to follow the same path. Now, Discord, bring the elemental gems”
“Wait, already? He said. Fine...I guess you are ready to connect with them...We’ll go one by one.”
“What’s supposed to happen when i merge with them?” asked Sunlight.
“To be one with an elemental gem, said Discord, you must tame the beast inside. Only then, you’ll acquire the gem power”
“How do i tame them?” asked Sunlight.
“It will depend, said Discord. Each elemental beast have it’s own personality. Taming them with force is one way, but i would propose befriending them instead.”
“Let’s do this!! Said Sunlight. I’ll begin with the Fire gem...”
Back to the present
Sunlight was heading for the location where Sunset Shimmer was currently at, when he was caught by a tentacle and pulled underwater. The Kraken he supposedly killed earlier looked at him with angry eyes.
“You again? Asked Sunlight. I left you a chance to retreat, now, i’m going to get rid of your stupid face for good...Maelstorm, Spirit of the water...Take over my body and eat that monster!!”
Sunlight turned into a giant mutant Shark. The Kraken got scared and tried to flee.
“You’re not getting away, pal!! Said Maelstorm. I’m hungry, and your my meal!!”
Maelstorm swam at sonic speed at the monster and chomped it’s body in half with his gigantic jaw. He then swallowed the two part whole.
“Well, thank you for the meal, Sunlight, he said. Call me again if you need my help!!”
Sunlight body returned to normal and he headed to the surface. He then looked at the Fourth Wall
“You must all be wondering how i can turn into a giant shark, said Sunlight. The answer is magic, of course. It would be hard to explain, but to summarize it, it’s a transformation. During it, the elemental spirit take over my body, using it as a vessel to manifest in the physical world. What about my mind, you ask? Well, my spirit take the beast’s place in the gem, until it decide to return my body to me. They trust me, and i trust them, Friendship can really do wonders”
The voice of Aeria, spirit of the Wind gem, spoke to him in his mind.
”Sunlight, she said. I sense a massive change in pressure in the atmosphere!!”
“It’s the sign of a mega hurricane, he said. This one gonna be bigger than the ones i stopped before, way bigger. I might need you to intervene personaly with it.”
”Heck yeah!! She said. I mean, of course, count on me...”
A massive hurricane formed quickly a few miles from his location.
“Aeria, spirit of the Wind, Queen of the sky!! Said Sunlight. Take over my body and stop that huge-ass hurricane!! Transformation!!”
Sunlight’s body turned into a massive and elegant falcon. Aeria flew in direction of the hurricane. Once she arrived, she started flapping her wings slowly, creating a wind so strong than in less than 5 minutes, the hurricane was no more.
“My wings are numb, now, she said. I’m going to let them rest for some times. Take back your body, Sunlight!”
Aeria returned inside the wind gem, and Sunlight turned back to normal.

Sunlight touched the water gem, after what he found himself in the middle of a big, sparkly ocean. There were no traces of marine life.
”I’ve got to find the water spirit living in this magic gem, he thought. The fire spirit was a dragon, what will the water spirit look like? A giant octopus, a Kraken? A whale? A Sea Serpent? A giant crab? Or a Shark?”
He sensed something big approaching him at high speed. Sunlight instinctively created a water barrier around him and waited to see what was coming at him. His face turned blue when he saw a rad-looking shark twice the size of a Megalodon and tried to swin back to the surface immediately.
“I would have prefered an Octopus!!” he said.
The giant shark charged at him, jaws wide opened. Sunlight propulsed himself out of the danger with a powerful blast of water and landed on the shark’s head.
“Listen to me, you brute, he said. Gosh, i sound like Rarity. Uh-hum, I am not your dinner!!”
“Come on, dude, said the giant shark, i haven’t ate something in forever, i’m hungry!!!”
“And you think something as small as me will satisfy your hunger? Asked Sunlight. And then what after you eat me?”
“Well, uh, answered the beast. What are you proposing, then?”
“One of my friends can probably make you a seafood feast, said Sunlight. But first, you have to accept me as your friend!!”
“Don’t you mean master? Asked the Shark. It is why you’re here, right? To tame me? Make me your slave?”
“I’m not, said Sunlight. Forcing someone to follow you by using fear, violence and manipulation never lead to anything good, in the long term. I want to build a relationship based on respect, not fear.”
“Those are wise words you’re speaking, tiny man, said the giant shark. I’m really sorry for tryin’ to eat ya!! I’ll be your friend if you can keep my stomach full!...What’s a friend, anyway? Is it something edible?”
“A friend is...Well, said Sunlight. A friend is someone you can count on, someone who got your back, help you when things get bad. Friends support each other, laugh with each other, share secrets with each other, share your sadness, anger! Food can fill your stomach, but only friendship can fill the void in your heart. Let me offer you my friendship...Wow, that was a really good speech.”
“So that mean that if i become your friend, said the shark, I’ll get both a full belly and a full heart?”
“Sounds good, right? Said Sunlight. All i ask in return is let me access to the magic of this world.”
“You’ve got a deal, man! Said the Shark. By the way, my name is Maelstorm, but call me Mael. What’s your name?”
“Sunlight, he answered. Sunlight Blaze.”
“Accept this blessing from me, said Mael. I grant you the unique ability to command to sea life!! Might our friendship last for centuries!!”
Back to the present
Sunlight arrived at the location Sunset was at, and saw she was overwhelmed by dozen of giant, magically mutated bugs.
“Hey, Aragon!! Said Sunlight. Want to burn those bugs?”
“You really asking that to me? Asked Aragon. You know i love burning things!!”
“Aragon, supreme master of the fire!! Said Sunlight. I allow you to take over my body, and reduces those bugs to a crisp!!”
Sunlight’s body transformed into a giant dragon. Aragon took over his mind and flew down
“I hate insects!! Said Sunset. Why did it have to be insects!! My psychic powers don’t affect them and i’m too scared to transform!! Someone help me!!”
The insect in front of her was suddenly covered by flames.
“Sunlight?! She asked. Sunlight!!”
“Close, said Aragon. Get on my back!! Young girl!! Let’s burn some vermin!!”
“Who are you?” asked Sunset.
“A friend of your brother, answered Aragon. I’m Aragon, the Fire Spirit of the Flame Gem.”
“Did he sent you to help me?” asked Sunset.
“Yes, you can say that, answered the dragon. Now, stop talking and get on my back!”
Sunset levitated on his head.
“Oh, a psychic!! Said Aragon. Didn’t see one in ages!!”
Aragon tore in half a giant goliath beetle coming at them and burned the two parts to ashes. Sunset laughed and used her psychic powers to manipulate Aragon’s fire breath.
“That’s the spirit, girl!! Said the dragon. Alright, let’s get them all at once! Can you make them follow you?”
“I can try! She answered. What’s your plan?”
“You’ll see” said Aragon.
Sunset sent to all the giant bugs a powerful telepathic wave. The monsters got mad and all went after her.
“Okay, i got their attention, now what?!” asked Sunset.
Sunset got cornered by the bugs, she saw Aragon’s signal and sheltered herself in a forcefield.
“Meganova!!” shouted Aragon.
The bugs were vaporized in an instant by the flames, while she was protected by her magic. The flames disappeared as fast as they appeared and she lowered her barrier.
“He’s right, said Aragon. Shouting the name of your attack really make it sound different!! Well, i’m done here, so i’ll just leave him to you!”
He laughed and transformed back into Sunlight.
“Wait, what? She said. You were that Dragon?!!”
“Yeah, i should probably have mentionned this exact detail to you, said Sunlight. Didn’t i told you i could transform into elemental beasts? Well, now you know!!”
“I didn’t felt your presence inside him, asked Sunset. What happened to you while he was out!”
“Oh, i was just taking it chill in the Flame gem, answered Sunlight. Don’t worry, they’re my friends, i trust them and they trust me!! Oh, and sorry i took so long to join you, i had to fight a giant Kraken and stop a mega hurricane on the way. Oh, do you want to meet my friends?”
“You mean, the elemental beasts? Asked Sunset. Of course, i do!!”
Sunlight made the water gem appear in his palm. Sunset hesitated, but Sunlight reassured her. She touched it and found herself in the middle of an ocean. A giant shark appeared behind her and she freaked out.
“Relax, girl!! I won’t eat you!! Said the Shark. So, you’re his sister? Nice to meet you!! My name is Maelstorm, but you, milady, can call me Mael!”
“You’re pretty chill for someone who could eat a building in one go, said Sunset. So, you are the water beast that lived inside the water gem?”
“I sure am!! Answered Mael. I am the master of the seas, the King of all oceans!! And a seafood expert!”
“Well, nice to meet you, Mael, said Sunset. My name is Sunset Shimmer. Do you want to be my friend too?”
“How could i resist to such a cute face like your? Said Mael. You can never have too much friends!!”
Sunset came back to the real world, confused.
“I like him, she said. He’s such a big softie!!”
“Yeah, he’s pretty sweet, said Sunlight. He’s got a heart as big as his stomach.”
He then swapped the water gem for the wind one. She touched it and was immediately free falling. She landed on the back of a giant bird.
“Hi, fellow girl!! Said Aeria. I’m Aeria!! The graceful spirit of the wind!! What brings you here?!”
“Nice to meet you, Aeria!! Said Sunset. My name is Sunset Shimmer! I’m Sunlight’s sister!! He wanted me to meet you!!”
“Well, it sure is a pleasure to meet you, Sunset Shimmer!! Said Aeria. You might wonder what pushed me to follow your brother, right?”
“I would love to hear about it!!” said Sunset.
“Well, it was 2 months ago, said Aeria. Cue the flashback sequence!”
Two months ago.
Sunlight was free falling from the sky, not perturbed at all. He yawned and stopped his fall with blast of winds, then landed on clouds. He only made one step when he saw emerging from the clouds the silhouette of a head. The clouds disappeared and the silhouette revealed to be a giant falcon that was looking at him with curious eyes.
“Oh!! You look tasty, little man!” said the giant bird.
“You look tasty as well” answered Sunlight.
The bird laughed.
“I’m Aeria, Queen of the skies, Master of winds, guardian of the Wind gem!! What brings you in my world, little human?”
“I was hoping you could allow me to use the powers of the gem, said Sunlight. Be reassured, i won’t use violence, nor intimidation. Rather, i’ll use Kindness to tame you!!”
“Like you could land a scratch on me! Said Aeria. You can fly, right? I’ve been so bored, lately, i’m craving for a competition!! If you can beat me in a race, i’ll judge you worthy of my friendship, and the wind gem’s power!!”
Wings appeared on Sunlight’s back.
“This is only for the race, said Aeria. If you can beat me, i’ll allow you to keep them in the real world!! As for the race itself, the first to make it past that giant storm and arrive on top of the Sky Mountain win!! I’m warning you, i aced it at least thousand of times!! So it won’t be easy for you!! Anything goes!!”
“Bring it, birdbrain!! Said Sunlight. I’m ready...”
“The race begin now!!” she said.
Aeria flew at supersonic speed toward South, leaving Sunlight far behind. He smiled and followed her, quickly catching the distance in minutes. Sunlight generated a smoke screen using fire magic to blind Aeria.
“Did you pick that trick from Aragon? Asked Aeria. You’ll have to do better, son!! I know this place like the bottom of my stomach!! I don’t even need my eyes to see where i’m going, i’m feeling the wind!!”
She grabbed Sunlight in her claws, did a full circle and lauched him away. She then continued flying in direction of the storm. Sunlight regained his balance and flew toward Aeria.
“There are lots of clouds in this world, said Sunlight. That gives me an idea!!”
Sunlight turned the clouds into water, that he shaped in a giant sphere.
“Hey, birdbrain!! Said Sunlight, who appeared above her. You need a shower!!”
“Whaaaat? Asked Aeria. What do you mean?”
Sunlight enveloped the giant bird in a water bubble that he then make explode.
“So, i’m wet! Said Aeria. Now what? You think being covered of water will slow me?”
A spark appeared in Sunlight’s hand. Aeris’ eyes widened in fear.
“I’m kidding!! Said Sunlight. I’m not a bad guy!”
He generated sand from his palms that he aimed at the giant bird. Water and sand mixed on her body to make mud, who quickly dried up with the wind.
“That should slow you down, said Sunlight. Well, i have a race to win!!”
Aeris laughed.
“He still have no chance to win against me, even with those tactics, she said. But i have to admit he’s pretty smart...”
Aeria continued flying, covered in dried mud and was catching on to Sunlight.
“Damn, he said. That didn’t even phased her...She’s still very fast!! Alright then, time to rise up the heat!!”
Sunlight created multiple clones of himself.
“Hold her back with everything you’ve got!! Said the original Sunlight. We have to win this race!!”
The Sunlights turned clouds into water and formed it into a prison to stop Aeria.
“Don’t underestimate me!! She said. That is an impressive technique you’ve used, but i’m the master of winds!!”
She broke the water prison and send the clones flying far away. They came back and stuck themselves against various part of her body.
“Get off me!! She said. Your tickling me!! Stop!!”
One of the Sunlights was holding the base of her tail. He saw her butthole and smiled devilishly.
“Don’t you dare!! She said. What are you going to do to it?!!”
The clone entered in the hole made a great quantity of air enter inside, bloating her belly. Aeria became a dizzy and slowed down. The Sunlights disappeared at the same time in an explosion of smoke. Meanwhile, the original Sunlight was already flying through the storm.
“That last one was probably out of place, he said. But she said anything goes!!”
He got past the storm and saw the big mountain in front of him. Aeria finally got her balance back and started flying toward the storm faster than ever. After a few minutes, she saw Sunlight, who just arrived on top of the mountain.
“You bastard! You pervert!! She said, enraged. Have you no respect for a girl’s genitals?!
“My clones have their proper will, said Sunlight. I have no control on what they do...I didn’t expect one to do such a thing!”
He laughed.
“That’s not funny!!” said Aeria.
“Still, i won!! Said Sunlight. So, you have to be my friend. Oh, and i’m sorry for what my clone did, what can i do to make it up to you?”
“First, you’re going to clean my body from that mud!! Answered Aeria. No magic allowed. You’ll do it with a scrubber and a bucket of water!! And no clones!”
“Fine, he said. Well, better get to it, then!!”
Back to the present
“After that, we became friends!!” said Aeria.
“You totally liked having him inside your butt, don’t you?” asked Sunset.
“Maybe, she said, embarrassed. It was so long since someone touched me down here...Thinking about it, it was the first time it happened!!”
“I can hear you, you know!! Said Sunlight’s voice. Don’t get the wrong idea!! I’m a human, you’re a giant freacking bird!!”
“I have more than one form, you know!! Said Aeria. I could take a more human shape if you want?”
“Okay, end of the conversation!!” said Sunlight, who cutted the telepathic link.
Sunset came back to reality.
“You still have it with the girls, she said. Even a giant female falcon can’t resist you!!”
“Shut up, he said. It was my clone who did it, not me”
“Sure, said Sunset. Well, i’m receiving a signal from Twilight!! She need our help pronto!!”
Sunlight and Sunset were heading for Twilight as fast as they could. Sunset was flying using her powers and Sunlight, using the wings Aeria gave him. Thousands of miles from them, Twilight was trying to fend off an army of killer robots.
“It had to be robots, she said. It had to be ROBOTS!! I can’t allow myself to destroy one, even if it’s trying to kill me!!”
“Don’t lose your cool, Twilight!! Said Spike, wearing a combat suit. I’m sure Sunset will arrive soon to help us!!”
“I hope so, she said. Cause i don’t know how long i can hold!!”

“I can’t do this, it’s too hard!! She said. Covered with injuries. I’m going to die if that goes on!”
“What a drama queen, said Discord. I can heal you whenever i want. And if you die, i can just ressurect you! Do you want to become stronger?! Do you want to protect your friends?!”
“How do i awaken the true power of my pendant? She asked. I’ve learned all sort of magic spells, survived curses and fought magic beings. My element is the one of Magic, right? So what am i doing wrong?”
“Nothing, said Discord. You are doing great, but you’re going to need a lot more training before breaking the limit of your Geode.”
“Maybe i need to look at it from another angle, said Twilight. What if the element of Magic was not only about magic? There is something i overlooked...I’m sure of it. Friends....Friendship...Wait, I got it!! It’s friendship!! Friendship is magic!! Of course. Twilight is the princess of Friendship, that’s why the element of Magic chose her!! And that’s why it chose me as well!!”
Twilight thought of the friends she made along the way, what they’ve done for her.
“I made nice friends, she said. And that changed my world for the best. My friends are my power!!”
Her necklace glowed and she was enveloped in bright purple light. When the light faded, she saw that she was wearing a whole new futuristic-looking outfit.
“My outfit, it changed!! She said. Does that mean i did it?! Did i broke my limit?”
“Only one way to be sure, try lifting this house!!” said Discord.
Twilight lifted the house with no effort with her magic. She then crushed the house into a small cube.
“That’s my true power? Asked Twilight. Wow!!”
“No!! He said. Not even close, baby girl! Crushing this house is only a fraction of what your magic can do!! The more you tap into your Element, the more powerful you’ll get!! Why don’t we test what else you can do with that newfound power?”
“Can i take a pause? Asked Twilight. I’m so exhausted!!”
“Fine, take a break, said Discord. I’ll let you 1 hour!!”
“One hour?! Said Twilight. Give me a whole day, you jerk!!!”
Back to the present
Twilight had found a safe spot to hide from the robots. Spike was doing the sentinel, looking for dangers.
“You need to attack, Twilight!! Said Spike. I know you don’t want to damage such advanced robots, but by running away, you put lot of civilians in danger!! We need to counter attack!! You were able to crush a big house, i’m sure a hundred of robots won’t be a challenge for you!!”
“I know i have to do something!! Said Twilight. But it goes again my moral code to destroy robots!! But it don’t want to endanger more civilians because of my selfishness!!”
She left her hiding spot and faced the robots.
“I’m sorry for what i’m about to do!! She said. Please forgive me!!”
She lifted all the robots in the city and stuck them together into a big ball. She shedded a tear as she crushed thoem into pieces. But as people was about to cheer her up, a giant robot, twice the size of the Liberty Statue, appeared.
“Don’t count on me to lift this one!! Said Twilight. Lifting a house is one thing, but this machine is a least a hundred of meters tall, it’s way out of my league!!”
Sunlight and Sunset saw the giant robot at the horizon.
“So, how do we take that thing put?!” asked Sunset.
“I know the perfect match for this mechanical titan, said Sunlight. Kami!!!! Do you hear me?”
“Yes, what do you want from me?” he asked.
“There is a huge-ass robot that could use a good dose of lightning!! He said. Interested?!”
“Heck yeah!! Said Raikiri. I’m doing this!!”
“Raikiri, said Sunlight. Master of Lightning, Tamer of Storms!! I allow you to take over my body and roast his circuits!!”
Sunlight transformed into a giant, Blue, white and Yellow cybernetic Wolf.
“A cyborg...wolf? Asked Sunset. That’s so cool!!”
Raikiri ran at lightning speed toward the robot and bit it’s left arm. He infused lightning into his fangs and electrocuted the robot’s circuits with hundreds of teravolts, damaging the robot’s critically.
“And for the final trick, said Raikiri. Overload Roar!!”
The thunder beast pulled the robot’s body far from the city and threw it in the air. Kami let out a powerful roar that summoned a huge beam of lightning, that stroke the enemy with violence. Once the beam had vanished, there was nothing left of the giant robot.
“That was fun!! He said. If there is nothing else for me to do, then i’m going!”
Raikiri’s body disappeared and let place to Sunlight.
“Such power, said Sunset. In one bite, he immobilized the enemy, and with one roar, he vaporized it...How the hell did you convince him to lend you his strenght?”
“I’ll explain it to you soon enought, said Sunlight.
They stopped in the city and looked for Twilight. Sunset located her quickly and the two of them ran in her direction. Twilight saw them arriving and also ran in their direction. She hugged Sunset and Sunlight.
“You are late!! Said Twilight. But i’m glad you came!! By the way, where did this giant wolf cyborg came from? And where did it went?”
“It was me, answered Sunlight. Well, sort of. This wolf is the magic spirit of the Thunder gem. Really Nice guy, albeit a bit bloodthirsty sometimes. Let me tell you how i made friends with him...”
2 months earlier
Sunlight was walking in the middle of a semi-futuristic forest, where trees were made of metal, circuits and cables.
”I was expecting something more...Thunder-y, thought Sunlight. But yet again, i guess electricity and technology make a perfect match. But why a forest and not a city?”
Sunlight didn’t took long to figure that this world was totally made of technology, powered by electricity. He touched a big tree and started absorbing it’s energy. Immediately, a giant Cyborg wolf appeared behind him.
“Stop what you’re doing right now, human!! Said the giant beast. Or i’ll be forced to destroy you!!”
Sunlight returned the electricity he stole from the tree and faced the beast.
“Tell me what your business here is, human, said the wolf. What brings you into the world of Kami, the Lightning Fang?”
“I’m here to make you my friend!!” answered Sunlight.
“Me, Kami, the master of Thunder, be friends with a human? Said the beast. That’s a good one!! Tell me one reason why i would need a friend!”
“You’re a cyborg, right? Said Sunlight. So you are not totally devoid of feelings, emotions and intelligence. I’m sure you feel lonely...”
“Not at all! Said Kami. I enjoy being a lone wolf...Literally, because i’m the only living being in this world. I passed centuries alone, trapped in this gem, and i’m still sane. If you’re here, it’s to get your hands on the powers of the thunder gem. I know you’ll use it for good, i can see it in your eyes. But still, it can only happen if i’m willing to give it to you.”
“Well, said the hero. Have you ever thought that, maybe, your life might be worth living if it’s to protect someone else? You have all that power, and you can’t use it!! That must be so frustrating!! You’re a predator, right? You need to hunt!! But you won’t hunt anything if you stay alone in there!!”
“You make a point, said Kami. I’m a predator, as such, i must hunt and kill. I’d give so much to be able to eat some tasty meat, or bite into something ferocious.”
“I can give you that, said Sunlight. Still, your size might be a problem in my world...Can’t you like, shrink down?”
“Our size depend on the amount of magic available to us, answered Kami. When we are inside our gems or them inside us, we become huge beasts like you see now. If we were outside our gems, or at a good distance from it, our size would lower drastically. In Equestria, we would be at least the size of a small house. In a place with few amount of magic, or no magic at all, we would be twice the size of our normal animal counterparts. However, our power remain the same, no matter our size.”
“Great!! Said Sunlight. If that’s the case, then you’ll be definitively able to hunt at your liking. But for that, you need to lend me your power. Let’s be friends, and protect each other! So what do you say?”
“Fine, said Kami. I guess i’ll be your friend, my power is your to use!”
Back to the Present
“You, see, the gems are now part of my body, said Sunlight. And the elemental beasts are part of the elemental gems. Thus, The elemental beasts are a part of me too. See it as them using me as an elemental gem when i summon one to battle.”
“I see, said Twilight. They can only be this size if they are inside the gems, or physically connected to them. Since the gems merged with your body, Elemental beasts can use you as one, due to them being directly connected to your body. How do you summon them outside their gems and your body?”
“Like this, answered Sunlight. Kami, come out!!”
Kami appeared in front of the trio. Tall as a small house in height (on his 4 legs).
“He’s still so big!!” said Twilight.
“It might be because the magic flux in this world is out of control, said Sunset. The magic concentration here is similar to the one in Equestria.”
Twilight received an emergency call from one of her friends.
“Applejack needs our help, she said. She’s overwhelmed by the enemy!!”
“I found her psychic signature!! Said Sunset. She’s at two thousand miles from our location.”
“Can you get us there, Kami?” asked Sunlight.
“Get on my back, answered Kami. I’ll bring you there in less than 2 minutes!”
The trio got on Kami’s back and the wolf started running at lightning speed. They arrived at Applejack’s location in no time.
“He was right, said Twilight. It only took him one minute and thirty seconds!! Thank you, Kami!!”
“You’re welcome, said the wolf. Do you still require my assistance, Sunlight?”
“No, he answered. You helped me a lot today, i won’t ask you for more”
Kami disappeared in a bolt of lightning.
The group was running inside the city, looking for Applejack. In less than 10 seconds, they bumped into a hord of rock golems, who were breaking and eating everything around them. Twilight crushed into pieces a small group of rock golems heading for them. Sunlight smiled.
“Hey, Quake, said the hero. Those rock golems need to learn who’s their boss. Can you take care of this?”
“I’ve got this!! Answered Quake. I’ll call those little rascals back to order!!”
“Quake, said Sunlight. Powerful guardian of the earth, King of the moutains!! Take over my body, and show those monsters who’s the king!!”
Sunlight transformed into a giant Gorilla, covered in an armor of moss and rock. The beast was towering at hundreds of meters tall, making buildings near him look minuscules. He let out a powerful roar that stopped all the golems in their acts of destruction.
“You are supposed to be protectors, said Quake, not destroyers!! How can you let yourselves get used that way!! You are better than that!! As the King of the earth, i order you to stop destroying stuff, and return to your slumber!!”
The golems all disappeared in the ground one after another.
“That’s a big-ass Monkey!!” said Applejack.
Quake disappeared and let place to Sunlight.
“Sunlight? She asked. You were that giant monkey?”
“You saw it with your eyes, said Sunlight. I’ve gained tremendous power over those 6 months. And i also made quite a lot of new friends!! Wanna know how me and Quake became friends?”
“Make it quick” said Applejack.
“Well, said the hero, all it took to convince him was a moving speech about friendship. Of all the beasts i met, he was by far the easiest one to befriend”
“What the 2 last elemental beasts look like? Asked Twilight. The fire beast was a dragon, the wind beast was a bird, the water beast was a shark, the thunder beast was a wolf and the earth beast, a gorilla. So, what sort of animal are the Nature and Light beasts?”
“You’ll have to wait a bit longer for that, said Sunlight, winking at the Fourth Wall. Better keep it for the next chapters”
Applejack, Sunset and Twilight were flying on the back of Aragon, heading for the Middle East. One of their friends, Pinkie Pie, called them for help. They quickly arrived on the site of the battle, Aragon blew a stream of blazing flames on a huge plant monster, turning it to ashes. Sunset took out a huge group of enemies with a psychic wave, crushing them under hundred of G’s of gravity. Twilight sliced clean in pieces a dozen of the plant monsters with magic sawblades. Applejack jumped in the air and stomped the ground with such force that the plant monsters were sent in the air, leaving Aragon the chance of blasting them.
“Hi girls!! Said Pinkie Pie. What are you doing here?!”
“You called me in emergency, said Applejack. So we came as fast as we can, riding on this beast, that is none other than Sunlight.”
“Did i? Asked Pinkie to herself. I was dealing pretty well with those plant thingies. I supposed i might have called you by accident. Sorry to have you worried!! The monsters you took out were pretty much leftovers!! But thank you anyway!! Anyway, Fluttershy called me for assistance, can i ride on that dragon too?”
“Get on, said Aragon. Where should i head next, Pink-haired girl?”
“South America!! Answered Pinkie Pie. More precisely, the Amazonian Rainforest!!”
The group arrived an hour later above the Amazonian Forest. Aragon disappeared and let place to Sunlight, who made everyone land on the forest floor safely. Sunlight used his Nature magic to pinpoint Fluttershy’s location.
“I found her, he said. She at 10 miles from us. I also detect dozen of powerful magic auras following her. She might be in danger...Let’s go!!”
The group headed for Fluttershy, A few minutes later, her and the group crossed paths. Fluttershy hid behind Sunlight.
“Wait, those are dryads! Said Sunlight. I bet the magic corrupted their minds...One of them is big trouble for the average magic caster, dozen of them? I’m impressed you lasted this long, Fluttershy!! Don’t worry now, i got this!!”
“You won’t hurt them, right?” asked Fluttershy.
“I’ve got better, he answered. Hey, Phyllia! Think you can bring those rogue Dryads back in line?”
”That will be no problem, said Phyllia. Leave it to me!!”
“Alright, then, said Sunlight. Phyllia, gracious queen of the Forest, Take over my body, and bring those poor creatures back in line!!”
Sunlight transformed into a giant Jaguar, with a wood-like brown fur, covered of green vines and leaves and eyes shining like emeralds.
“Did Sunlight just turned into a giant jaguar? Asked Fluttershy. Awesome!!”
“Dryads!!” said Phyllia, letting a huge roar out.
The plant creatures all looked at her, stopping their evil actions.
“I am the Queen of the Nature! She said. And i order you to stop bringing havoc in this forest and go back to your slumber until this magic catastrophe is over!! Now!!”
The Dryads disappeared inside nearby trees. Phyllia used her magic to repair the damages caused by the rogue dryads, then went back to sleep, leaving Sunlight in charge. Rainbow Dash suddenly joined them, exhausted.
“I’m here, Fluttershy, she said. Wait, what are you doing here?”
“We already rescued her, answered Applejack. Did you ran all the way from Australia to South America?”
“I did, she said. Well, i’m glad she’s safe. Now, the only one left to rescue is Rarity. Does anyone know where she is right now?”
“I believe she’s fighting monsters in Japan, right about now, answered Applejack. Rainbow Dash can probably get there in a matter of minutes. But what about us?”
“Aeria! Said Sunlight. We need your help!! I need you to transport my friends to Japan!!”
Sunlight turned into a giant bird.
“Get on my back, she said. We’re going to Japan!!”
The girls all sat on her back and Aeria took off.

Sunlight was making his way through a vast jungle, Looking for the Nature elemental beast.
“I have to be smarter, he thought. I need to bring the spirit to me, not the opposite. But how? Oh, right!! Fire, of course”
Sunlight set a couple of trees ablaze and sat on a stump, waiting for the Nature spirit to show up. It was not long before he received the visit of the Nature gem’s spiritual beast, who was a giant jaguar. Immediately, Sunlight extinguised the flames. At the beast’s surprise, none of the trees were damaged.
“You tricked me?! Said the Jaguar with a feminine voice. I should eat you whole for that offense!!”
“I just used my brain, said Sunlight. I couldn’t find you after hours of exploration, so i decided to just bring you to me! And what’s better than a good ol’ forest fire? You have noticed that none of the trees that were ablaze were damaged...How this is possible, you ask? Well, put it simply, i can control the flames’ temperature. In this case, i reduced the temperature down to one of a human body. It’s pretty handy for prestidigitation purposes!”
“You are one interesting human, said the Jaguar. My name is Phyllia, spirit beast of the Nature Gem. You knew that setting a fire would force me to show up. Yet, you were considerate enough to do it without actually hurting any tree. Tell me, why did you came here?”
“It’s simple, said Sunlight. I want you to let me access to the power of the Nature gem. Don’t worry, i won’t use violence or power to force you. In fact, i’m here to be your friend!!”
“My...Friend? Asked Phyllia. You came here to ask me to be your friend? I’m surprised...Not so many people would come on their own will in this world, and even less for something as simple as a friendship request. The last one who ask me to be his friend was a pony, looking a lot like you!”
“It must be my father!” said Sunlight.
“It was? Said Phyllia. Talk about fate!! But let me reveal you something, young hero. Me and the other elemental beast were forming a single individual, originally, said Phyllia. Refered as the Supreme Elemental God in legends.”
“Why did you split up?” asked Sunlight.
“Someone used us, as the Elemental One, as a weapon to fight evildoers in Equestria, answered Phyllia. That individual did a lot of good things with our power. But he paid the price with his life...His body simply couldn’t handle all our power. Then, a few centuries later, a powerful dragon became our wielder. He used our power for his own ambitions. He was able to wield our power longer than the first wielder. Almost a century, and could probably have handled it longer hadn’t he been slain by a rival. We changed hands dozen of times on the period of a thousand years. One of them was a nefarious individual, evil to the bone. He used us to cause destruction, desolation and chaos Equestria...To stop him, An heroic Unicorn casted a powerful spell on the evildoer, which caused the Elemental One to dissociate into 9 parts, destroying the villain’s body in the process.”
“This unicorn, said Sunlight, Was it my father?”
“Probably, answered Phyllia. Does the name Zenith Flame sound familiar to you?”
“It is my Father’s name!! Said Sunlight. What happened next?”
“Your father took the 9 elemental gems and kept them with him, answered Phyllia. He proclaimed himself the guardian of the Elements and with the help of Celestia, kept the power of the gems from evil hands. This is during this time he looked to learn more about elemental magic and realize he was good to it. He individually analyzed each of the gems and talked to us. Over time, we came to appreciate him for his presence. During that time, he met a lovely mare with whom he had two childs. One day, while he wasn’t in his laboratory, his wife, or rather your mother, Nova Dusk, entered in contact with us. However, it was with Aragon that she formed a really solid friendship. From what he told me later on, He blessed her son with his power, as a gift, that gift was heat absorbtion.”
“So, that explain why i had this connection to fire, said Sunlight. And that ability to absorb heat!”
“That also had for effect to partially change your DNA code, said Phyllia. You acquired DNA from Aragon, the fire spirit, and because Aragon was part of the Elemental One once. That mean when you’ll merge with the two last gems, and ressurect the Elemental One, he’ll become one with you.”
“Be one? He asked. You mean, i’ll become the Elemental One?”
“Yes, that’s sums it up pretty much, answered Phyllis. Don’t worry, you’ll be pretty much the same as you are right now, but with an immortal body, unlimited energy and vast knowledge of magic. He’ll be also like a voice in your head, that you can ask for guidance”
“That sound cool, said Sunlight. Only problem is, i’m currently incompatible with the Ice and Shadow gems. And that’s because of my darker self dissociating from my body. I’m looking how to reunite the both of us again, Do you know of a way i can do that?”
“Lux, the spirit of Light, might know something on this matter, said Phyllia. I believe it is time for me to land you my power!! I gladly accept your friendship...Sunlight Blaze! May my power help you in your quest for justice!!”
Back to the present
The group arrived at destination after half an hour of supersonic flight.
“I see your friend!! Said Aeria. And she seem to be in trouble!!”
The giant bird flew a high speed toward the ground and landed with such force that the enemies nearby were ejected far away. Immediately, the girls left Aeria’s back and attacked the remaining opponents. They made quick work of them and rescued Rarity.
“Hi, girls! She said, exhausted. Thank you for coming to my rescue. Am i dreaming or there’s a giant bird near me?”
“You’re not dreaming, answered Aeria. I’m the Wind gem’s guardian beast, Aeria!! So, with her, i suppose the team is complete again.”
“We’re going back to Canterlot, said Sunset. We need to rest and recover our forces.”
“Are you sure we can take a break? Asked Applejack. What are we supposed to do in case of an emergency?”
“I’ll deal with it, answered Sunlight. You can rest without worries.”
The team got on Aeria’s back and she took off, heading for Canterlot.

Sunlight was overwhelmed by an intense light when he entered the realm of the Light gem. His eyes quickly adapted to the current luminosity and he looked around him. In the clear blue sky, 4 Suns, all white, were shining brightly. The ground was totally covered of white sand, translucent crystals and crystal clear lakes. Curious, he put some water in his hand and was about to drink it.
”That’s holy water, you know! Said a mellow, crystalline voice. I wouldn’t drink it if i were you, dear!”
In front of Sunlight, a white and gold giant and majestic Chinese Dragon appeared.
“I’m Lux, said the dragon. Divine Beast of the Light!! And you are?”
“Sunlight Blaze, answered the hero. Earth’s self-proclaimed Superhero and defender of Justice! I came here to acquire the power of your gem!!”
“Then prepare to fight!!” said Lux.
“Clearly you’re wrong, said Sunlight. I have no intent of using violence, intimidation nor brute force against you to get it.”
“You believe i’m going to lend you my power just like that?” asked Lux.
“Yes, answered Sunlight. Because deep inside, you...”
“Cut the heartfelt speech, said Lux. I’ll lend you my power. We both know it’s gonna come down to it, so why bothering with long, boring speeches.”
“Before that, said Sunlight. I’m unable to cast Ice and Shadow magic, and thus, connect with the Ice and Shadow gems. Do you know of a way to solve that problem?”
Sunlight explained more clearly the whole Moonlight Frost story to Lux.
“I understand, said Lux. If Moonlight took away your ability to cast Ice and Shadow magic, then he might be able to give it back to you. Why don’t you ask him?”
“Well, i would, said Sunlight. But he’s a villain, a bad guy! He won’t listen to me. If we can somehow solve our differences and make peace with each other, that might be worth a try!! Only time will tell us...”
Sunlight was having his hands full, dealing with the magic problems happening around the world. This was exactly what Moonlight wanted to happen. For the last 6 months, he had been busy looking for Grogar’s bell and it is only recently that he got his hands on it. It was far from being easy, since the artifact was hidden in the Tartarus, under the protection of Cerberus itself. It was by doing tons of eavesdropping that Moonlight was able to learn the bell’s current location. Once he knew where it was, it was piece of cake for him to recover it. But there was one small problem.
“Why won’t this stupid bell activate!!? Shouted Moonlight, angry. I went through hell to get my hands on it!!”
“Calm down, said Sombra. Yelling at it won’t change anything...”
“I’m just so mad!! Said Moonlight. You guys went through all the trouble of opening those magic portals all around the world, plus summoning all those magic creatures and monster, for me to collect their magical energy with this thing! It would have all been for nothing if i can’t figure out how to activate this bell.”
“You still have a lot of time left, said Adagio. Those portals won’t close anytime soon...And none of those so-called heroes have figured the cause of it...”
“Yet, said Moonlight. Sunlight and Sunset are close to catch up with my plan, and once they do, She’ll close the portals and he’ll take care of the remaining monsters. So i absolutely have to get this thing working before that happen!!”
“Maybe you need some sort of spell to activate it!” said Tirek, eating a slice of pizza.
Frost facepalmed himself and started laughing.
“I’m such an idiot!! He said. How could i forgot that!?”
“You forgot?!” asked Tirek.
A book suddenly appeared out of nowhere and fell on Moonlight’s head. He grabbed it and saw the image of a bell on the cover.
“Well, that’s convenient, said Moonlight. Hum...Okay...I see...So that’s how this bell work..Well, i’m going out, guys!!”
Moonlight left through a magic portal and reappeared in the middle of a city overrun by giants mutant rats with laser eyes.
“Please, help us!! Said a fancy man, who was hiding nearby. I’m the mayor of this city and i’ll reward you handsomly if you take out those monsters!!”
“I’m not doing this for you or that city, said Moonlight. I couldn’t care less about that!! I’m here only because those monsters have something i want. Once i’m done here, i’m going to wipe out what’s left of this city myself! But you won’t be there to see it!”
Moonlight froze the scared man’s body solid, then smashed it into pieces. He then teleported above one of the monster and used the magic bell to absorb it’s magic energy, turning it back to a vulgar rat. The other monster rats charged at him and Moonlight smiled, as he took their magic one after another. When all the monsters had been dealt with, Moonlight left the city, heading for the next one on his list. Meanwhile, Sunlight was fighting a berserk hydra, under the form of Lux, the Light Dragon, under the cheers on the people watching the fight live on television.
”That hydra regenerative abilities is so annoying!! Thought Lux. And it’s toxic breath make it worse!! Fortunately, Sunlight was able to get him outside the city’s limits, so no civils will get caught in the fight.”
Lux enrolled himself around the hydra’s body like a snake to immobilize it. In the sky, a huge magic circle had formed above the two beasts, as well as below them.
“This won’t do much to me, said Lux. But you, on the other hand, you won’t survive that!! Heaven’s Judgment!!!”
From the magic circles came out a massive beam of pure, concentrated Light magic, that hit the both of them. The hydra let out a powerful roar of pain. When the magic circles disappeared and the beam of light vanished, there was nothing left of the hydra, not even the skeleton. Lux then turned back into Sunlight, who then headed for the helicopter filming the scene. (Wearing his costume, of course)
“To everyone who’s watching this, said Sunlight. You’re probably afraid, confused or shocked by the current events. But me, as well as my superhero friends, will continue to protect you the best we can. I’ll do everything necessary to protect everyone!!”
As he was about to leave, he turned back to the camera.
“You can call me Sunblast, said Sunlight. If you thought superheroes weren’t real, well, think again, because they exist!! And they are there for you. Now, if you excuse me, i have to stop an invasion of giant crab monsters in Hawai!”
He then teleported away. In the living room, Sunset and Nova Dusk, who were watching the news, looked at each other. Sunset got up and left.
“You’re going to help him, aren’t you?” asked Nova to her.
“Of course!! Answered Sunset. This is what heroes do!!”
Sunset put on her magical outfit and left the house, on her way to join Sunlight. She saw her friends waiting for her, all in their magical uniform as well.
“How did you know?” asked Sunset.
“Oh please, said Rainbow Dash. You might be a psychic, but we’re your friends! We can read in you like a book...with pictures... And giant letters...Ouch!!”
“What Rainbow’s trying to say, said Applejack, who slapped Dashie behind the head, is that we know you by heart, sugarcube...”
“After we heard Sunlight’s speech on the news, said Pinkie Pie, We knew you would leave your house and go help him!! You’re so predictable, silly!!”
“Screw our rest, said Rarity. People need us more!!”
“Well said, Rarity!! Said Twilight. Let’s go!!! Let’s save the world!!”
Sunset took off with her friends. Meanwhile, when Sunlight arrived in Hawai, he was surprised to see no trace of the mutant crab monsters. He landed on the ground and asked a citizen hiding nearby.
“Wasn’t there supposed to be a bunch of giants crab monsters attacking you guys?” he asked to the citizen.
“Someone wearing a dark costume arrived a few hours ago, answered the man. And took care of them...then left as suddenly as he came.”
“A dark costume, he said? Thought Sunlight. It must be Moonlight for sure...But why would he play the heroes all of a sudden? No, that’s not important for now, i need to focus on this crisis first.”
Sunlight saw a crab walking slowly near his foot and kicked it away. He took off and flew toward the next city in danger. On his way, he crossed by the girls, but didn’t notice them.
“Hey!! Did he just straight up ignored us? Asked Rainbow Dash. Talk about rude!!”
The girls went after Sunlight. Sunset sent a telepathic message to him and Sunlight turned back his head.
“Oh, hi girls!! Said Sunlight. Didn’t i told you to take a break?”
“Oh, so you can get all the glory for yourself?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“What Rainbow Dash mean, said Applejack. Is that we were moved by your speech on television.”
“Do you really think one person can convince the whole world to not be worried?” asked Twilight.
“No, answered Sunlight. This is why i mentionned you girls too!! Now, let’s go!! Follow me!”
The girls followed him and they arrived at the closest place where monsters had been reported. At their surprise, there was no trace of giant monsters anywhere.
“Are you sure this is the place?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“Yes, he answered. I received an emergency signal from this place 15 minutes ago. I’m betting it’s Moonlight’s doing.”
“Moonlight? Asked Sunset. What does he have to gain playing superheroes?”
“I’m still trying to figure this out, answered Sunlight. I’m sure he’s behind this whole magic crisis. He have nothing to gain putting an end to it himself. Or does he?”
“How did he took care of them, then?” asked Twilight.
“If i had to guess, Answered Sunset. He’s probably absorbing their magic”
“He’s trying to get more power for himself, said Sunlight. That would be his style to do that.”
“We need to stop him, then!!” said Applejack.
“We can’t, said Sunlight. Moonlight is smart. He probably know we’re on his trails at the moment. If we try to track him down, he’ll just distract us with an big monster attack somewhere else on the planet. Beside, even with that much power at his disposal, he will still lose to us!!”
“He have a point, Darling, said Rarity. Normal People’s safety pass first! Moonlight can’t be everywhere at once, can he?”
“He can’t, said Sunlight. My guess is that he’s only targeting the biggest monsters, or those with a lot of magic inside them. Twilight and Sunset, i’m giving you a special mission”
“A mission?” they asked.
“That magic must have a source, said Sunlight. I want you to find it, Twilight. As for you Sunset, The reason i’m pairing you up with her is because you can contact me quickly with your psychic powers when she find an answer. As for me and you girls, we’re going to do our best to protect everyone.”
“But we’re just 6, said Applejack. We can’t be everywhere at once! Well, except you, since you can make clones of yourself...”
“Unless you can make clones of us too, said Rarity. Can you?”
“I’m afraid i can’t” answered Sunlight.
“Could it be possible to draw all of them to us?” asked Fluttershy.
“I doubt it can be done” answered Sunlight.
They saw a pack of military helicopters coming in their direction.
“Should we run?” asked Rainbow Dash.
“No, said Sunlight. In fact, they could be of use to us. Let me deal with them...”
Sunlight waited for the helicopters to land on the ground. Many dozens of soldiers showed up and surrounded the group, pointing their guns at them. A few moment after, someone ordered them to drop their guns down. A familiar-looking man walked in his direction, followed by 3 other intimidating men.
“Holy cow, it’s the President! Whispered Rarity to Sunlight. I never thought i’d saw him in person!”
The man stopped once he was in front of Sunlight.
“I am the president of the country, said the man. President Gladmane”
“You must be kidding me, thought Sunlight. This motherfucker is our fucking president?”
“To my right is the Head General Wind Rider, said Gladmane. He is the Head of our country’s military force.”
“Sorry for having my men point their guns at you, said Wind Rider. They are just nervous”
“To my left is the Head Director of our country’s Intelligence Agency, said Gladmane. Mr. Steven Magnet.”
“It’s nice to meet you, young man” said Steven.
“As for the man behind me, said Gladmane. He is the Vice-President, Mr. Svengallop.”
“I am honored that the president, vice-president, Head General and the Head Director had to move all the way just to see me, said Sunlight. Behind me are my hero friends.”
“I am Titania, said Applejack. The strongest girl in the world!!”
“I am Adamanta, said Rarity. The prettiest girl in the world!!”
“I am the Wonder Bolt, said Rainbow Dash. The fastest girl in the world!!”
“I am Candy Girl, said Pinkie Pie, the craziest girl in the world!!”
“I am...Uh...Lady Butterfly, said Fluttershy. The cutest girl in the world...Probably...”
“And i am Sunblast, said Sunlight. You came there to request our help, right?”
“Yes, said Steven. My agency have been keeping a close eye on you and your friends, ever since this worldwide crisis began. You make our most powerful weapons look like kid toys.”
“If only we knew where to focus, said Sunlight. Some cities have it worse than others. If we knew which of them need us the most, and which one can wait, we’d be able to effectively protect their population. If you watched us, you must have an idea of what our powers are...”
“Yes, We do, said Steven. But just to be sure, can you told us what your powers are about, exactly?”
“Well, said Applejack. I am super strong! I can send flying into space pretty much any creature in one punch.”
She lifted an helicopter using only one finger.
“I’m basically super, duper fast, said Rainbow Dash, who was eating a burger. Just now, i ran all the way to Manehattan to buy a hamburger and a soda two second ago, while she was talking.”
“Basically, said Pinkie Pie. I turn anything sugar based i touch into explosives!!”
She grabbed a cupcake and threw it in the air. The cupcake exploded a few seconds later.
“My god...said Wind Rider. What a terrifying power...”
“As for me, said Rarity, who was holding a sword and a shield, both made with her magic. Well, what i’m holding is made of a magic diamond-like material i can generate at will. It is ideal for defense as for offense.”
“I control, uh, animals, said Fluttershy. Including insects. I can also increase their power if i wish. For example, i could make a wasp dozen of time bigger, stronger and resistant than a regular one. The same goes for any other animal...I...I can also connect my mind to theirs, allowing me to see what they see, smell what they smell, etcetera.”
“As two members of my team are on a mission, said Sunlight. I’ll introduce them to you myself. This one is Techno Girl, our team’s brain. She use magic telekinesis, and she can do pretty much anything with it. As for the other, she’s called Daydream, she is the heart of our team. She’s a Psychic, and a powerful one at that. I believe she can also manipulate the fabric of Reality as well.”
“My god, said Svengallop. We’re really lucky you’re all nice and not bad.”
“As for me, said Sunlight. I’m an Elementalist. I have full control over every single element, as well as being able to generate them myself. I’m also a versatile spell caster, i can teleport anywhere, multiply myself, generate powerful magic barriers, fire magic beams and projectiles and turn into different magic elemental beasts, to name a few. I’m basically what you might call a demigod.”
“Those two friends of yours, asked Wind Rider. The one that are absents, are they going to show up?”
“They are on an important mission right now” answered Sunlight.
“And what is that mission about, exactly?” asked Steven Magnet.
“Let’s just say that if this mission is a success, said Sunlight. We will be able to end this whole crisis once and for all. But it could take them some times, so me and those 5 are protecting the world in the meanwhile.”
“Let’s not wait any longer, then, said Gladmane. We’ll do our best to support you!”
Sunlight, with the help of the country’s military force and the Secret Services assistance, was able to come up with the perfect strategy to protect cities that were dealing with magic. For the next few days, him, the girls and the military forces united their forces, protecting cities and people from all over the world with maximum efficiency. Moonlight was almost done collecting magic with Grogar’s bell, the member of the Legion of Darkness were still opening portals all over the world. Sunset Shimmer and Twilight Sparkle were closing in on the source of the magic.
“All civilians in the city have been evacuated, Mr. Rider. Over!!” said Rainbow Dash.
“Perfect, said Wind Rider. Nice work, Miss Rainbow Dash. Over.”
Sunlight and the girls, along with hundred of soldiers, attacked the enemy, bringing it down in a matter of minutes. In a desperate effort to win, the rest of the creatures killed themselves, singing a dark incantation. As they dropped dead, their magic energy formed a black magic circle. As the circle was growing bigger, everything inside was decaying.
“That’s a spell called Circle of Decay , said Sunlight to the others. Basically, Any life form inside the circle area will well, decay in a matter of seconds, both body and soul. The more living organisms this spell consume, the larger it will expand.”
“How do we stop it?!” asked Applejack.
“Once this spell have been casted, answered Sunlight. Nothing can stop it from expanding. However, every spell have it’s counterspell. Opposed to the Circle of Decay, which is a magic that destroy, there is a spell called the Circle of Revival, that revitalize what it touches. By combining Water, Earth, Nature and Light, one can create a Circle of Revival. And turns out that Elemental magic is my specialty. Note that the spell have to be casted by 4 or more people. But i already have the solution to this.
Sunlight made 3 other clones of himself. They each started pronouncing different incantations. The first of the 4 Sunlight casted an Earth magic circle, followed shortly by the second, who casted a Water magic circle, the third one casted a Nature magic circle. And finally, the original Sunlight casted a Light magic circle. Once the 4 circles were combined, the 4 of them pronounced a final incantation. Immediately, the Circle of Revival started expanding. The girls, who were close to it, were feeling the effects of the spell.
“That feel so good, said Fluttershy. It’s beautiful!!”
“I know!! Said Rainbow Dash. My fatigue and soreness are going away!!”
The Circle of Revival eventually crossed paths with the Circle of Decay and started pushing it back until, eventually, the dark magic circle got completely swallowed. Sunlight put an end to the spell a few minutes after and dismissed his clones after thanking them.
“I think that was it, said Sunlight. This was the last city that needed us, right?”
“For now, said Wind Rider using a communication device. You did once again a fine job. Well played, Mr. Blaze. You and your friends can take a rest until another city need you and your friends. You can return to your houses, go to My H.Q, or go the Secret Intelligence Agency’s H.Q, or even the White House. You chose!!”
“I’m definitively going to the White House!!” said Rarity.
“My family need me, said Applejack. So i’m heading back to Canterlot.”
“Me too, said Fluttershy. The Cantelot Animal Shelter require my services.”
“Well, i’m going to Rider’s Military Headquarters!!” Said Rainbow Dash.
“I’m going with you!! Said Pinkie Pie. I’m gonna bake a big victory cake for those brave soldiers!”
“You go, said Sunlight. I’m going to look for Sunset and Twilight.”
He took off and flew up high above the clouds. He focused on finding Sunset’s magic signature, but was unable to sense her. He searched for Twilight’s magic signature instead, and traced her location in no time. Her magic aura was weak.
”That’s not good” said Sunlight to himself.
He flew in the direction of her magic signature and arrived a few minutes later. He saw Twilight, uncounscious on the ground and analyzed her body.
”She’s in a deep slumber, thought Sunlight. I detect traces of a powerful sleep-inducing spell in her body.”
Sunlight covered his hands with electricity and put one on her chest, and the other one on her forehead. A few seconds later, she opened her eyes and gasped.
“Sunlight!! She said. I’m so happy to see you!! We found where this magic comes from!! They are coming out of magic portals!!”
“That’s a good new, said Sunlight. But where is Sunset?!”
She pointed at a magic portal.
“Something really powerful came out of the portal as Sunset was about to shut it down, answered Twilight. A powerful individual named Anarchy. I believe he put the two of us to sleep and brought only Sunset with him.”
Sunlight filled her in on the current situation and told her to return home to recover. She refused and insisted on going with Sunlight to save their friend. He accepted after realizing she wouldn’t step down. They both entered inside the portal and reappeared in another dimension. Sunlight immediately looked for Sunset’s magic signature. He found it after a couple of minutes, overshadowed by an insanely menacing one.
“What a dark and unsettling aura” said Sunlight, slightly intimidated.
“Can you beat him?” asked Twilight.
“Oh, you bet i’m going to beat this motherfucker, answered Sunlight, filled with rage. No one, absolutely no one kidnap my dear sister and get away with it...He’s going to beg for his life once i’m done with him...”
Sunlight headed for Sunset Shimmer. Meanwhile, in his lair, Sunset was locked inside a fancy room. She was wearing around her neck a collar made of a material blocking her psychic powers. She couldn’t use her dream magic either, because of the rules of this dimension. Anarchy knocked at the door and opened it. His look was reminescent of the one of a jester, mixed with the physionomy of a devil.
“So, still enjoying yourself? He asked. Have you changed your mind about becoming my wife?”
“No, you creep!! She answered. You’re wasting your time...I’m never going to marry you!!”
“You have a strong will, said Anarchy, But i’m going to break it eventually...”
He left the room and headed for his throne, pissed.
“Master!! Said one of his subordinate. Master!! We’re in trouble!!”
“What?! He shouted. What do you mean, we’re in trouble!? Explain yourself!!”
“A human is destroying everything in his path!! Said the imp. And he’s headed right for us!!”
“A human?! He asked. Destroying my army?! Impossible!!”
The imp showed him the live footage via a mirror. Sunlight was burning everything in his path, radiating like the Sun.
“This is the four-eyes that was with my soon-to-be wife, said Anarchy. I thought i’d killed her!! I bet her psychic friend must have protected her. And this human’s aura, it’s terrifying! I’ve never seen one that powerful and bright. What’s making him so mad?”
“Well, said his right hand man, who just showed up, the young woman you kidnapped appear to be this young man’s sister. And he fully intend to kill everyone that stand in his way to get her back... He annihilated 90% of our troops already, almost every of our strongest generals have fallen trying to stop him. What project do you have for him?”
Anarchy didn’t respond and headed for the entrance doors. He opened them and walked down the stairs. He raised his hand in the air and fired a huge beam of dark energy visible from miles. Sunlight saw it and threw away the demon general, that he was beating to a pulp.
”It’s him, said Sunlight. I didn’t expect him to come after me. I thought that he would hide in his castle like a coward and send his subordinates do all the work.”
Sunlight finally arrived face to face with Anarchy a few minutes later.
“Give me my sister back, said Sunlight. Or i’m going to break you!”
“I’m afraid i can’t do that, said Anarchy. She’s going to be my wife!”
“She’s never going to marry you, he said. She’s not into clowns, i’m afraid, and neither am i...”
“I’m a Jester, you idiot!! Said the demon. Not a clown!!”
Sunlight smiled.
“Alright. I’m gonna make this quick, he said. I’m gonna kill you, clown!!”
“You can try, but i’m immortal while in my realm!! Said Anarchy. And for the second time, i’m a Jester, not a clown!!!”
“Let’s put that claim to the test” said Sunlight.
He blasted Anarchy with a beam of fire, turning him into ashes. But he came back a few seconds later, totally fresh.
“My turn, now!” said Anarchy,
He blasted Sunlight with a powerful beam of dark energy. This one avoided the attack swiftly.
“He’s fast! Thought Anarchy. Let’s see if he can dodge this!!”
He unleashed attacks after attacks, all being dodged or blocked by Sunlight.
“The only advantage you have is being immortal in this dimension, said Sunlight. But i’m far superior both in power and speed...Let me show you something! Lux, take over my body!!”
Sunlight transformed into Lux, the Light Beast. Immediately, Lux’s aura started turning Anarchy’s dimension into his own.
“Oh, i presume Sunlight didn’t told you about me, said Lux. Let me introduce myself. I am Lux, also known as the Holy Dragon Luxaura. I am the divine beast of Light!”
The castle and all it’s inhabitants were being purified by the light aura spreading inside. The light reached Sunset’s room.
“I recognize that energy, she said. It’s Lux’s Magic energy!! Then, that mean...Sunlight is here!!”
The collar around her neck turned into dust. She felt her magic coming back and destroyed the door. On her way out, she splattered against the walls many imps and low-class demons.
“I can’t stay in his realm much longer, said Lux. I hope i was useful, Sunlight!”
He then let his place to Sunlight.
“Ha!! Said Anarchy. You got me scared for a moment!! You clearly underestimated the power i have over this dimension. Not even you elemental beasts can hurt me!!”
“That wasn’t the intention” said Sunlight.
Anarchy realized too late Sunlight’s plan. Sunset blasted the entrance doors, levitating down the stair.
“Crap, said the demon jester. Crap crap crap!! I’m sorry for kidnapping you!!”
Sunset pinned Anarchy to the ground away with her magic and hugged Sunlight.
“I’m glad you came, she said. Took you long enough!!!”
“I’ve been busy, he said. Saving the world is not an easy task”
Sunset touched his arm and read Sunlight’s memories of the last days.
“I see, she said. On my side, me and Twilight found that magic portals were the cause of all this magic catastrophe. I was about to close it using my Daydream powers, when this asshole came out of it, He tried to kill Twilight, but my power were able to save her from certain death”
“Thank you, said Twilight. I’m sorry i couldn’t do anything!”
“So, what do you want to do with him?” asked Sunlight.
Suddenly, a shadowy figure emerged from a shadow portal and shot a beam that hit Anarchy. This one felt his magic power leave his body and get absorbed into the portal. The portal disappeared as fast as it appeared, leaving the trio confused.
“What just happened?” asked Twilight.
“I should have known it was your doing, said Anarchy. Well played, He he he”
He suddenly coughed blood and had convulsions. He then dropped dead on the ground a few seconds later
“His heart, said Sunlight. It exploded.”
Another demon appeared above the group.
“I’m sorry for all the trouble my former master caused for you, he said. I am Diavolo, I was Anarchy’s second in command, his right-hand man.”
“So, he was talking about you before he died, Said Sunlight. Tell me why i should believe you are not like him?”
“He made sure i didn’t lack of anything, said Sunset. If it wasn’t for him, i would have been thrown in an oubliette and left to starve”
“Alright, said Sunlight. I guess i can let him live. But wait, he said he was immortal while in this realm! Was that a lie?”
“His magic was what made him immortal, answered Diavolo. As long as he was in possession of it, he couldn’t be killed.”
Diavolo opened a portal to their homeworld that the trio left this dimension.
Sunlight and the two girls reappeared in their world, in the middle of Canterlot. The siblings looked for Fluttershy and Applejack, then called the rest of the group for a reunion at the army’s military base.
“Me and Twilight have discovered the cause of all that magic problem, said Sunset. The magic is leaping out from portals that i’m pretty sure Moonlight opened himself. When i’ll close those portals, the magic should stop flowing in our world.”
“Okay, said Wind Rider. So, we know what’s causing this, and we have the mean to deal with it. Only thing that’s left is locate those portals, and thank to a bit of Twilight’s help, our technology is now able to locate them”
“Sir!!! Said a soldier. Our satellites are done pinpointing all the magic portals.”
“How many portal do we have to deal with?” asked Rider.
“At least 50, Sir!!” he answered.
“Think you can manage it, Sis?” asked Sunlight.
“Yes, she answered. No problem! But since those portals were opened by either Moonlight or his team, someone need to deal with it, so they don’t open more!!”
“I’m dealing with Moonlight myself, said Sunlight. You girls just chill out and be ready to intervene if a city needs you.
“Are you sure you’re going to be okay against Moonlight? Asked Twilight. I mean, with all the magic he’s absorbed by now...”
“His magic aura didn’t change since he started stealing magic, said Sunlight. Which lead me to believe he used a magic artifact instead of a magic spell. There is only one artifact i know of who can steal magic: Grogar’s Bell!!”
“Grogar’s Bell?” asked Sunset.
“An artifact that belonged once to Grogar, the Father of all Monsters, answered Sunlight. His bell had the power to steal the magic of a living being, no matter how much power it has. One day, a brave unicorn stole the bell from him and used it against Grogar, stealing his magic. The magic bell was then brought at the summit of the highest mountain in Equestria, Mount Everhoof, protected by a barrier to prevent anyone from taking it. But way later, Chrysalis, Tirek and Cozy Glow got their hands on it, and used it to fulfill their plans of ruling Equestria. They were ultimately defeated and the bell was locked up once again, protected by Cerberus in the Tartarus.”
“Are you sure? Asked Sunset. Are you sure that Moonlight have this artifact in his possession?”
“Let’s ask Twilight! Answered Sunlight. She’s the one who hid the bell after that fateful battle. Take your book and write to her to look if Grogar’s bell is still in the Tartarus”
Sunset made her magic book appear in her hands and wrote the message in it. A few moment later, she received her answer.
“She claims that the bell indeed have disappeared from Tartarus” said Sunset.
“No doubt about it, then, said Sunlight. Moonlight does have it in his possession. Tell Twilight that i know who have the bell and that i intend on taking it back.”
Sunset wrote the message in the book. Twilight replied almost immediately.
“So, what did she wrote?” asked Sunlight.
“She told us to be careful, answered Sunset. That’s all”
Sunlight took off and went to look for Moonlight. Sunset also took off as well, heading to the magic portals to close them for good. Sunlight quickly located his nemesis and intercepted it as he was standing on a building.
“Give that bell back, would you?” asked Sunlight, politely.
“I’m afraid i can’t do that, answered Moonlight. Although i’m done stealing magic with it, i still need it for the second phase of my plan. Grogar’s bell is already hidden somewhere in my lair.”
“Those portals, were they your doing?” asked Sunlight.
“Yes, answered Moonlight. I gave my Legion of Darkness the task to open those portals. It was meant to distract you and your friends from interfering with my plan and to give me plenty of magic energy to steal. Now that i’m done stealing magic, i have no need to have them open portals anymore”
“You stole ton of magic with the bell, said Sunlight. What are you intending to do with it?”
“As if i was going to tell you, said Moonlight. But i can say that this magic isn’t for myself. While you’re here, let’s fight! If you beat me, i’ll give you an amazing prize.”
“I accept the challenge, said Sunlight. I’ll beat your sorry ass into next week!!”
Sunlight punched Moonlight with a magic fist and sent him flying into an empty building. He smiled and waited for him to come back. Moonlight reappeared behind him and tried to stab Sunlight with a shadow blade. Sunlight blocked it by creating an air barrier behind him. Moonlight stepped back and smiled, Sunlight created two clones of himself and sent them attacking Moonlight. The two clones combined air and fire magic to create a powerful flame that Moonlight tried to block with an ice barrier. The fire attack pierced it and injured Moonlight badly and he fell on his knees. Sunlight called back his magic clones. Moonlight was already exhausted, despite barely fighting.
“You are already down with two attacks? Asked Sunlight. You have to be kidding!”
Moonlight laughed and took down a spell he used to mask his weak magic aura.
“Feel this magic aura of mine? Asked Moonlight. It’s weak, ain’t it? The truth is that i always had been weak...During our first confrontation, i had to resort to a magic ice gem to take on you and your friends. In our second battle, i’ve been fighting on the defensive, hoping my teammates would beat you before i ran out of energy. On our third fight, i took advantage of you and your sister being away to attack your friends.”
“So, why don’t you absorb all the magic you stole with the bell? Asked Sunlight. With all the magic you’ve gathered, you could easily match my current power!”
“It would make sense for me to do that, said Moonlight. But my body wouldn’t support all that power. You see, when you destroyed the ice gem that was embedded to my body during our very first battle, my body sustained irreversible damages that fragilized it. There is also the fact that i’m still linked to you.”
“Are you slowly dying because you dissociated with me?” asked Sunlight.
“Yes, i do, answered Moonlight. And i’m afraid to be at my terminal phase.”
“How long?” asked Sunlight.
“4 days at best, he answered. The plan i’ve come up with those last months is my final one. This plan will be my greatest masterpiece and it will succeed for sure!! If i’m going to disappear, i’m doing it with a bang!!”
“What is it going to be this time?” asked Sunlight.
“If i told you, it would spoil the suspense, answered Moonlight. And since i’m fair, i’m willing to give you a chance to survive the next battle that await you all.”
Moonlight touched Sunlight’s chest with his hand.
“Since i stole from you the ability to cast ice and shadow magic, said Moonlight. It’s common courtesy to give it back to you. And you won’t have to master them, simply due to the fact i’m also lending you my Ice and Shadow magic knowledge.”
The magic transfer lasted for a few minutes. Moonlight removed his hands from Sunlight and disappeared. Sunlight felt the power of ice and shadow magic flowing in his body.
“If he gave my back my ice and shadow magic, said Sunlight. That mean what he told me must be true. But what did he meant by giving us a chance to survive the upcoming battle? Is the enemy we’re going to face that powerful? Whatever, now that i can use ice and shadow magic again, and already master them as well, it’s time to merge with the Ice and Shadow gems”
Sunset was heading toward the biggest magic portal as fast as she could. When she got in front of it a few minutes laters, she was surprised by it’s size. She transformed into her Daydream form and used her magic to close it. It took her a few minutes, but she was able to shut it down. She then used more of her magic to repair the damages caused by the portal.
“One shut, she said, alright, next one!!”
She headed to the closest portal from her location at blinding speed. After she arrived, she immediately closed the portal and cleaned the area from it’s corruptive magic. She continued to close portals for an hour and a half and was almost done shutting all of them. There was only one left, and Sunset was struggling to stay transformed. She closed the last portal with difficulty and immediately turned back to normal. She was falling head first in the ocean, when Rainbow Dash showed up and caught her in her arms.
“Got you, sis!! She said. I had the feeling you would be completely exhausted after shutting down all those portals. So i flew as fast as i could when you were heading toward the last of them. It’s all over, now.”
The two girls headed for the White house, to announce the President that the crisis was over. When they arrived there, Rainbow saw her friends waiting for her and Sunset. The President Gladmane was also there, along with thousands of people gathered at the gates.
“There is so much people! Said Rainbow Dash, who landed in front of her friends. Are they all here for us?”
“Of course, they are!! Said Gladmane. You saved the world after all, didn’t you?! They are there to see their heroes, who so valiantly fought to defend them. Oh my, i see that your friend is exhausted! Who wouldn’t be after closing so many portals? Bring her to my guest chamber and let her rest a little. The ceremony to celebrate the end of this crisis, and your brilliant victory is only going to take place in a few hours”
“Where is Sunlight?” asked Rainbow Dash.
Twilight pointed at a buffet table, full of spicy delicacies, and Sunlight was downing them like crazy.
“Oh” she said.
Sunlight saw Sunset Shimmer in Rainbow Dash’s arms and headed for her. He took her off Rainbow’s arm and hold her against him. He transfered some of his energy to her, and Sunset woke up, suddenly full of energy and hit Sunlight in the face.
“Oops, sorry, she said. Are you okay?!”
“I’m fine, he said, putting her down. Great job closing the portals, by the way!”
“So, did you get the bell back?” she asked.
“No, answered Sunlight. He already got rid of it when i faced him. But i still kicked his ass, though, and he gave me something for doing it”
Sunlight crafted in one palm a sword made of ice and in the other, a sword made of shadow. Sunset and the others were surprised.
“No way!! Said Twilight. You can use Ice and Shadow magic?”
“Pretty neat, uh? Said Sunlight. And i don’t even have to train to master both, because he also gave me his knowledge on ice and shadow magic along with it.”
“Why would he do that?” asked Sunset.
“Beat me! Answered Sunlight. He told me i would need it when we’ll face our next enemy, that’s all i know.”
“It is only a supposition, said Sunset. But maybe Moonlight is fading away, dying. He’s not his own individual, after all, he’s the manifestation of Sunlight’s darkness.”
Sunlight slowly walked away, heading for the buffet. Sunset pulled him back to her.
“Well, said Sunlight. I know that he use a spell to maintain a physical form. I guess if the spell wears off, Moonlight will become a ghost, without a physical body. If he’s dying, like you said, it might be because he got separated from me for too long. There might be a spell that could merge us together again...Let me check in my grimoire.”
Sunlight pulled from his magic snatchel his grimoire, opened it and looked for the page about fusion and fission magic.
“Found the page!! He said. Let’s see. Hum...Not that, not this one either...Ah, there it is!!”
Sunlight’s mood changed from joy to disappointment.
“The spell is simple, he said before Sunset asked him about his change of mood. Only problem, for it to work, Moonlight need to be willing to do so, since the spell require the target’s consent to operate.”
“Yeah, said Twilight. That is definitively going to be a problem. I doubt Moonlight will accept to merge back with you, since you’re his enemy.”
“At this point, said Sunlight. His life goal is to kill me, or see me die. We need to somehow get him to have a change of heart...And furthermore, a new enemy is going to show up in the next days, one that will beat us for sure, from what Moonlight said.”
“If he’s going to show up in the next days, asked Applejack, we won’t have enough time to get stronger.”
“You 6 don’t need training, said Sunlight. You can power up by drawing into your Element of Harmony. Same goes for you, sis. You can do the same to boost your magic power, plus having reality-breaking magic at your disposal...”
“And what about you?” asked Pinkie Pie.
“Well, he answered. Once i’ll merge with the Ice and Shadow gems, i’ll have merged with all 9 element beasts. That will allow me to summon the Elemental God, which i suppose i’d have to convince to lend me his power. If i can convince him to do so, i’ll reach the peak of my power and will become more powerful than ever before. But for now, let’s celebrate our victory!”
Sunlight was in his room, looking at the ice and shadow elemental gems in front of him.
“Which one should i merge with first? He thought. Ice or Shadow?”
He picked the Ice gem, immediately, it started entering his body. Sunlight’s spirit left his body and appeared in the Ice realm.
“It’s cold, he said. And the Ice divine beast is supposed to be somewhere in that frozen wasteland. I wonder what he or she look like...I’m betting on a bear or a penguin. Now, let’s bait him...or her...”
Sunlight surrounded himself with an aura of fire and melted the ice around him. Soon enough, a silhouette manifested.
”You’ve got balls to use Aragon’s magic in my realm, boy, said a smooth feminine voice. I’ll shield you from the cold if you need, but stop using fire magic.”
Sunlight removed the fire barrier around him, expecting to feel the bitter cold again, but didn’t.
“What’s your name?” asked the hero.
A giant majestic looking Polar bear appeared to him.
“Totally called it” said Sunlight.
”My name is Ursa, said the beast. Empress of the cold, Queen of the Winter. You came here because you seek my power, is that right?”
“For what other reason would i come there? Asked Sunlight. I’ve never been fond of cold, i hate it, to be honest, but i need your power to face a powerful foe. I’ve already merged with 7 of the elemental beast: Aragon the fire dragon, Kami the lightning wolf, Maelstorm the aquatic Shark, Aeria the wind Eagle, Phyllia the jungle jaguar, Gaia the rock gorilla and Lux the light dragon...”
”If Lux and Aragon chose you to bear their power, then i know i can do the same” said Ursa.
“So, why do you hate Aragon so much? Asked Sunlight. Did you two had a story, by any chance?”
”Nothing like that, i assure you, answered Ursa. I just hate him because he is fire and i am ice. We are polar opposites, destined to clash with each other.”
“Fire and ice are polar opposites, sure, said Sunlight. But they revolve around one foundamental principle”
”What is it?” asked Ursa.
“Temperature, answered Sunlight. Simply put, heat is the result of a rise in temperature, while cold is the result of a drop in temperature. Fire is associated to heat, while Ice is associated to cold. Do you understand?”
”I do, she said. You’re right. I hereby accept to lend you my power! Use it as you please!!! Before you go, be careful about Noctara, the Shadow beast, when you’ll end up in his realm. She’s rather, slutty, try not to fall for her charms.”
“He’ll warm up to me, i can assure you! Said Sunlight. Do you know what she look like?”
“A snake, if i’m not mistaken” answered Ursa.
Sunlight opened his eyes and looked at the shadow gem.
“Only one left, he said. Let’s finish this.”
He touched the last gem and started merging with it. His spirit left his body and reappeared in a dark place.
”Well, as i expected, i can’t see a thing, he thought. It’s so dark, it could definitively use some lighting...”
Sunlight created a ball of light that illuminated a small area around him. He saw that he was next to a big lake. He put his hand in the water and removed it, then tasted a drop. It was surprisingly sweet.
“It’s good, he said. I was expecting the water to be poisoned or cursed, but it taste just like clear water, only a bit sweeter.”
”I would be careful not to drink too much of that water, said a seductive voice. You’re drinking my bath water.”
Sunlight looked further and saw the head of Noctara above the surface, staring at him with her serpentine eyes,
“Well, that explain the taste, he said, holding back from puking. I will make it short, i’m Sunlight Blaze, and i’m here to convince you to lend me your power.”
“You don’t strike to me as an evil person, said Noctara. I feel barely any darkness in your heart.”
“Well, i’m not a paragon of heroism, said Sunlight. Okay, i admit, I’m a talented, powerful, charming, intelligent, courageous, kind and well endowed individual. I have everything someone could ask for: Power, friends, family, money and beauty to name a few. It can be hard for others to see any flaws when they look at me, but i do have some. They’re what created Moonlight Frost, my doppleganger...”
”Life definitively smiled upon you, said Noctara. Are you interested in alternative timelines, by any chance?”
“Well, not really, he answered. I prefer not thinking about what my life or the life of my friends could have been if i made different choices.”
”Well, that’s too bad, she said. Because i could have shown you some...Like what if you and your sister never got separated at birth, what if you grew up together? Or what if the Mane 6 never influenced you into becoming a hero?”
“Nah, not interested, said Sunlight. Tell me your condition for lending me your power...”
“Well, said Noctara. I’m kinda horny right now.”
“No, i don’t like where this is going, said Sunlight. I’m out!!”
”You can’t leave without me giving you the permission” said Noctara.
“Have you seen our size difference? Asked Sunlight. How do you expect it to work out?”

Sunlight took a deep breath and smiled.
“What you crave is not pleasure, he said. It’s affection you desire, i see it in your heart. That slutty attitude of yours is only a facade to hide a lonely heart. More than pleasure, you need a friend, someone who truly care about you...I can be that friend.”
Noctara laid her head on the ground, in front of Sunlight, in tears. He petted her head and looked her in the eyes.

She licked him with her long tongue. Sunlight was surprised.
”If i had arms, she said, i would hug you so much. This was the closest thing to a hug i could do, with my size. I’ll lend you my power, little hero...”
“And i’ll lend you my body, said Sunlight. Wait, that came out wrong...”
Noctara laughed, and Sunlight too shortly after. The next moment, he woke up in his room. He got up and summoned small shadow tentacles from his hands.
“Okay, he thought. Now that i’ve merged with the 9 elemental gems completely, it mean that i should be able to bring back the Elemental God. But how am i suppose to do that?”
”The Original Gem was split up using a powerful spell the caster refered as Magic Fission, said Lux, inside his head. He casted it during the passage of the Brightstar Comet.”
“That comet only show in the sky once every 500 years, said Sunlight. It have the unique property to drastically weaken the power of magical artifacts and magic item, and drastically increase the power of magic spells. The last time it passed was 430 years ago, and i can’t wait seven whole decades!!”
“To be able to fuse the gems back together again, said Lux. You need to go at the Elemental Shrine, located deep in the Everfree forest. Then, we’ll dissociate from our respectives gems, because merging the gems while we’re still inside mean we will cease to exist. And let’s be honest, we don’t want to cease to exist.”
“Then what? Asked Sunlight. What will happen to me if you dissociate from the gems?”
”Well, to tell you the truth, said Aragon. We merged with the gems too. Before becoming master of the fire gem, i was a weak dragon that had been banned from my land. I came upon a charming unicorn that just gave the fire gem to me. Hungry, i ate the damn thing and i’ve woken up inside the fire gem. I believe it was the same for all the others.”
”I was a giant Roc, said Aeria. Before merging with the wind gem.”
”And i was a Timberwolf” said Kami.
”Me, i was a shark” said Maelstorm.
“As for me, said Gaia, i was a gorilla.”
”I was a Cobra” said Noctaris.
”I was a dragon to, said Lux. An old one at that!”
”I was a bear” said Ursa.
”And finally, said Phyllia, i was a panther”
“So, said Sunlight. You realize that dissociating from the gems will mean getting back to your original selves?”
”We know, said Lux. And we’re fine with that, trust me.”
”For now, said Noctara, let’s head to the Elemental Shrine!”
Sunlight left his room and kissed his mother before heading for the entrance door.
“Where are you going?” she asked.
“Oh, just in Equestria, he answered. To bring back an ultra powerful Elemental god that i’ll then merge with. A normal Tuesday, what?”
“It’s already the time?! Asked Sunset, eating a cake in the next room. Can i go with you?”
“Hum...Nope, he answered. This is something i have to do on my own.”
“Fine then, she said, disappointed. I have my own business to take care of anyway.”
Sunlight teleported in front of the C.H.S portal and entered in it. He reappeared on the other side and bumped face first into Flash Sentry. His lips accidentally touched Flash’s ones as they loudly fell on the floor. Sunlight immediately turned into a mare right before he could open his eyes.
“Oh...I’m so sorry, said Sunlight. Are you alright, Flash?”
“I’m fine, he answered. Wait, how do you know my name?”
“This is your name, really? Said female Sunlight, faking surprise. I called you by that name because you reminded me of someone...Uh... Looking really similar to you.”
“Well, you guessed right, said Flash Sentry. Flash’s my name, Serving the ladies, my game. Hum, can you get off me, please? I’m gonna get aroused if we stay in that position longer”
Sunlight looked around.
“Is that so? He/she said. Well, today is your lucky day, Flash. You’ll lose your virginity to a goddess”

Aragon appeared to his sides, in his original form, followed by the other beasts, except Maelstorm.
“So, this is it, said Sunlight. This is what you guys really look like...Wait, where is Mael?”
”I can’t breath outside of water!! Said Maelstorm. Can you, i don’t know, dig a hole and fill it with water, for me?”
Sunlight obeyed and made a small pond for Maelstorm. The shark immediately appeared and jumped in it.
“Much better” said the shark.
“You can still talk?” said Sunlight
“Yes, and no, answered Phyllia. Even if we dissociated from our gems, we still have some of their magic left inside us. Our special bound allow us and you to communicate normally, understand each other.”
“Now, let’s proceed to the ritual! Said Lux. You see those 9 pillars around you? They all have a different symbol on them.”
“This pillar have a flame symbol on it, said Sunlight. This one have a lightningbolt, and that one, a water drop, this one, a snowflake, that one a Sun, this one a Crescent Moon, there is a leaf on this one, a cloud on that other one and finally, a boulder...It’s obvious each of them represent an element. Fire, Thunder, Water, Ice, Light, Shadow, Nature, Air and Earth.”
Sunlight instinctively set his right hand ablaze, then touched the flame pillar. The pillar started shaking and crumbled.
“That’s okay, said Aragon. Those pillars act as seals. Keep going, son!!”
Sunlight then turned his right hand into a taser and touched the Ligthning symbol. Shortly after, the pillar crumbled down as well. He continued that way until all 9 pillars were destroyed. The shrine started shaking violently and Sunlight was pulled down in the middle of it, unable to stop. Once he was at the center, the gems left his body and circled around him, then merged together. The newly formed gem entered in the ground and the earth started shaking violently. From it came out a massive tree similar to the Tree of Harmony. The difference was that it was composed of all 9 elements at once, plus having 9 branches instead of the Tree of Harmony’s 6. At the extremity of each of those branches, were embedded each of the 9 elemental gems. An etheral being suddenly showed up to Sunlight, looking exactly like him.
“What your ancestors have tried to do for thousands of years and failed, said the being. You are the one that finally succeeded at bringing me back. I waited so long!! Thank you, Sunlight Blaze.”
“Wait, said Sunlight. I don’t understand...”
Sunlight disappeared in front of his beast friends. He reappeared in another dimension, at the sides of the tree’s avatar. This one told Sunlight that he brought him to the afterlife, then proceed to share it’s memories through multiple magic screens, with Sunlight. This is how the hero learned that his first ancestor tried to take the power of the Tree of Elements for nefarious purposes, and when he failed to do so, used a forbidden spell to destroy it. The elemental gems were scattered, and chose 9 beasts as their guardian. Their task was to protect their magic power from being used again by ill-intentioned creatures again. His ancestor, all tried to get their hands on them, for selfish or selfless reasons, only to fail. His father, however, did something different: He decided to look for the gems to bring the Tree of Elements back. He was only able to found one, the fire gem, and gained the friendship of it’s guardian, Aragon. Finally, Sunlight learned that his dad convinced Aragon to save his son’s life by sharing a small part of it’s life force with him, giving the baby the ability to absorb heat. Everything else was stuff he already knew.
“Now that you know everything, said the Tree of Elements. I have one last thing for you, a gift for bringing me back. "
Sunlight was brought back in the living world, in front of the Tree of Elements. He felt something new inside him and when he looked at his body, he noticed that wings had appeared on his back.
“Oh my god!! Said Sunlight. I’m an Alicorn!! Awesome!”
“This is my present to you, said the magic tree. Glad you like your new form...”
“I can’t believe you took away my ability to cast elemental magic!!” said Sunlight
“A small price to pay” said the Tree of Elements.
“Yeah, right, said Sunlight. And how am i supposed to use magic in the human world?”
“The answer is around your neck” said the magic tree.
“My spiked necklace? Asked Sunlight, removing it. You enchanted it?”
“Yes, since it is a part of you, said the magic tree’s avatar. It works the same as your friends’ magical geodes, allowing you to cast magic spells in any world you go, even those without magic.”
“So, it’s a magical artifact, now, said Sunlight. Is there a condition to using it? Or a drawback?”
“Glad you asked! Said the tree. No, and yes, it does have one small flaw: The necklace is a magic battery, meaning there is a finite amount of magic you can draw from it at once. But no need to worry!! You just expose it to sunlight to recharge it. The more intense the sunlight, the faster it replenish itself. The moonlight also replenishes it, but less effectively than sunlight does.”
Twilight appeared behind him, exhausted.
“Oh, hi princess!!” said Sunlight.
“So, this is the source of the magic i detected, she said. Incredible, it look just like the Tree of Harmony!!”
“I am the Tree of Elements, said pseudo-Sunlight. I’m not as powerful as the Tree of Harmony, but my power is still something not to be messed with.”
“Why did you take Sunlight’s appearance, though?” asked Twilight.
“Because he’s the one who brought me back, answered the tree. By doing so, he proved himself worthy of becoming an Alicorn.”
“Tell me everything!! Said Twilight. I want to know everything about you!!”
“Well, said Sunlight. It’s time for me to return to Canterlot. Goodbye, everyone!”
Sunlight teleported back to Canterlot, entered in the castle, then the room where the portal leading to C.H.S was located and passed through it.
Arrived back to the human world, Sunlight saw that the dusk settled in. He determined that tomorrow would be the moment that Moonlight would chose to put his plan into motion.
“Even if i became an Alicorn, thought Sunlight. My spell repertory is lacking. Thanks to that magic tree taking away my ability to cast elemental magic, i’m stuck with only 5 spells.”
He teleported in his room and grabbed the magic tome Discord gave him.
“I should at least learn a dozen of spells to replace the lost of my elemental ones, he thought. But time is running out for me.”
He called for Discord.
“Congratulation on your promotion!! Said the Lord of Chaos. What do you need me for, this time?”
“Here’s the thing, he said. I need to learn a lot of magic spells in the space of a night!”
“I think i can help, said Discord. There is a dimension i know where 1 year is the equivalent of an hour in ours.”
“So, following this logic, said Sunlight, I can get a decade worth of training in the space of a night. I could easily learn dozens of magic spells during that period. Let’s do it!!”
“I want to go with you!” said Sunset.
“Are you sure?” asked Sunlight.
“Yes!! She said. Mother told me that to unlock her full potential, she had to meditate everyday, 20 hours a day, for over a decade. If there is really a dimension where i can get a decade worth of training in the span of a night, i can’t just let this opportunity go to waste!!”
“Is there facilities in this dimension? Asked Sunlight. You know, a shower? A bath? A bathroom? A toilet? A bed?”
“We also need water and food!” said Sunset.
“There will be no need for that” answered Discord
“Meaning?” asked Sunlight.
“Put it simply, said Discord. This dimension restore your stamina, energy and mental shape to it’s peak at the start of each day. You’ll start each new day fully rested, satiated and clean. Your body clock will reset each day as well. So your hormones won’t get in the way of your training. Finally, you won’t age at all.”
“Let’s do this already!” said Sunlight.
Discord opened a portal leading to the dimension he mentionned earlier. Sunlight and Sunset looked at each other and nodded, then entered the portal.
The next day
The duo reappeared in Sunlight’s room. Sunset left and returned in hers. Sunlight looked at the Fourth Wall.
“You’re curious, aren’t you? He asked. Well, i currently have 36 magic spells in my repertory, including those i already mastered before. Creating magic clones, cast magic barriers, Disable magical artifacts, teleport harden my fist and feet with magic and dispel illusions. As for the new spells i’ve learned, try to keep up!!”
He took a deep breath
“Here we go, said Sunlight. First, the basic spells: Magical Blades, Magical Spears, Magical Bow, Magical Disks, Magical Armor, Magical Claws, Magical Healing, Magical Pistol, Magical Paralysis and Magical Boomerang. Then you have the intermediate spells: Magic Blast, Magic Cannon, Invisibility, Magic Reflector, Magic Counter, Magic Grenade, Magic Chains, Magic Lock, Magic Prison and Iron Maiden. Now, let’s pass to the advanced spells: Magic Explosion, Body Swap, Magic Shrinking, Dragon Wrath and Magic Surge. And finally, the Forbidden, Ancient and Lost spells: Magic Ban, Weather Control, Time Stop, Magic Portal and Reality Overwrite. I’ll try to use them all, so you know what they do. Now, let’s get the third act started”
Meanwhile, in the Legion of Darkness’ lair.
“It’s time, said Moonlight. Time for those heroes to die!! Bring me Grogar’s Bell!!”
Sombra threw the magic artifact at Moonlight, who stopped it before hitting him.
“Sonata, Aria, Adagio!! He said. Are you done tracing the summoning Pentagram?”
“It’s done, chief!” answered Adagio.
“Great!! Said Moonlight. We are ready...”
Moonlight placed Grogar’s Bell in the center of the pentagrams. He started pronouncing a forbidden incantation. The lines forming the pentagram started to glow red. After a few moments, the magic bell started floating in the air and a portal opened below it. An intimidating, colossal shadow emerged from it. The shadow took the form of a giant, buffed, intimidating, Barbarian-looking individual. His skin was blue, his beard and hairs were white. He was proudly arboring two massive Ram horns. He was fully naked, revealing an herculean physique. Moonlight looked at the lower half of his body and whistled.
“Oh my, said Moonlight. He’s well-endowed, that’s for sure!! Look at the size of this dong!!”
The Dazzlings and Abacus Cinch were also sharing his reaction. Sombra, Tirek, Flim and Flam were looking away.
The being’s deep yellow eyes opened, piercing Moonlight’s soul like daggers. The man took the bell in front of him and attached it to his spike collar. He looked at Moonlight and the other, who were either subjugated by his nudity, or jealous. The imposant being stretched his body and flexed his muscles.
“Welcome to the world of the livings, Mighty Grogar, said Moonlight. Me, Moonlight Frost, and my Legion of Darkness, that you see behind me, brought you back from the dead. Not only that, but i also filled your magic bell with an insane amount of magic, coming from the most powerful of magic creatures, some of which you created.”
“Is that so?” asked Grogar, looking at Moonlight’s body.
This one noticed that Moonlight’s body was dying. He used the magic in his bell to give Moonlight a new, immortal alicorn body.
“There, much better, said Grogar, grinning. How do you like your new body?”
“I love it, said Moonlight. It feel so good to have an Alicorn body...I feel my power growing drastically...It’s amazing. But you should do something about your nudity. Nice cock, by the way.”
Grogar laughed, then drew into the bell’s power. A black bodysuit covered his body, then covered by a black and gold magic armor. His helmet had two holes for the horns to fit through.
“This armor was forged in the flames of Tartarus, by a master Blacksmith. Then, it was enchanted with high level enchantments, by a Master Sorcerer.”
Grogar used his magic on Moonlight, giving him a black, red and purple armor.
“This is the Black Scale Armor, said Grogar. Made with the scales of a deadly and wicked Dark dragon i slayed long ago. I embedded it of his soul. Wearing this, you’ll be immune to elemental attack and low tier magic.”
“I appreciate your generosity, said Moonlight. But don’t forget my Legion of Darkness helped me a lot with this plan. From left to right, there is Sombra, Tirek, Flim and Flam, Abacus Cinch, Aria Blaze, Sonata Dusk and Adagio Dazzle, also known as the Sirens.”
“Did you said the Sirens? Asked Grogar. You mean to tell me those 3 girls are the Sirens?”
The trio summoned the spirit of their Equestrian counterpart and grew wings.
“I see, said Grogar. Well, Daddy’s back, girls!”
Adagio spitted out her drink.
“Did you just say daddy?!” she said
“I made the 3 of you, said Grogar. That make me your father, and you, my daughters.”
“Well, with what you’re packing there, said Adagio, touching his crotch, You can be my sugar daddy...Hmm...”
Grogar turned red. Moonlight lifted Adagio in the air and sent her away.
“Mission first, said Moonlight. What do you say about a warm-up first?”
“Tell me more” said Grogar.
“Why don’t you try conquering this world first, said Moonlight. It would be a perfect warm-up before invading Equestria.”
“I do like the idea, said Grogar. Once i’ll conquer it, i’ll make it the Heart of my empire of Darkness. As for those insects called humans, they’ll become my faithfull servants, soldiers and slaves. As for you, you’ll have your part of the cake, don’t worry. Seeing how weak the people of this world are, it will be a piece of cake.”
“Well, think again, said Moonlight. Conquering this world won’t be easy. Here’s the reason.”
Sombra showed a photo of Twilight and her friends from this world. Grogar raised his left eyebrow
“Individually, those 6 girls are amazingly strong, said Moonlight. This one is super fast, that one, super strong. That one can make magic crystalline constructs and that one can lift or crush anything with her magic. That girl command to animal and insects and that one make stuff explode. They bested my team twice. But what truly make them terrifying is their magic of Friendship. The power of the Elements of Harmony is their greatest weapon. Not even you, as powerful as you are, could fight against it. However, my Legion of Darkness could keep them out of your way, but they’ll need a huge boost in power.”
“It’s done, said Grogar, who used his dark magic to empower the Legion of Darkness, making them ten time more powerful than they were.”
Moonlight showed a picture of Sunlight Blaze.
“Why does he look like you?” asked Grogar.
“Ugh, answered Moonlight. He’s my doppleganger, Sunlight Blaze. I was born from his darkness and manifested as my own entity much later. As such, we share a similar appearance, but we don’t share the same mentality, or personality. I’m the doppleganger, but once i’ll defeat him, i’ll assimilate him, and become my own individual once and for all. He’s as powerful as i am and his spellcasting is on par with mine. This one is mine...And i kept the best for you, of course!”
He showed a picture of Sunset Shimmer.
“Sunset Shimmer!! Said Moonlight. She’s got very powerful Psychic magic. It’s wise to believe she’s mastered it perfectly. And on top of her insane psychic powers, she can draw magic from the Dream Dimension, which grant her reality warping powers. She need to transform into her Daydream form though, to use it. She’s also Sunlight’s sister, and mine, by extension. But that doesn’t mean i like her like he does. She disgust me, in fact, with her stupid compassion. Hurting her brother or her friends might be her only weakness.”
“I’m trembling of excitation at the idea of fighting her, said Grogar. Let’s not waste any more time!”
Grogar opened a portal that Moonlight and the Legion of Darkness disappeared through. They reappeared on top of a hill, where Sunlight, Sunset and the mane 6 were waiting.
“Oh, so, you were expecting us!! Said Moonlight, laughing devilishly. I should not be surprised...”
“Your power is different from last time, said Sunlight to his doppleganger. It’s way more overwhelming, did you transformed yourself into an Alicorn?”
“I did became an Alicorn, yes, said Moonlight. However, i didn’t do it myself...It’s your cue, Grogar!!”
“Wait! Said Sunset. Did he said Grogar?!”
Grogar appeared, slowly and dramatically, all glorious and mighty. He smiled to the heroes when he saw them.
“Your world is mine, he said. And so will be Equestria!!”
Moonlight looked at Sombra and the others. This one nodded and lauched an assault on the 6 girls, followed by the rest of the team.
“They are coming for you, girls!!” said Sunset.
“Then, we’ll do the same!! Said Rainbow Dash. Come on, girls!! Let’s show them they are no match for us!!”
Moonlight rushed toward Sunlight, his fist charged with dark energy.
“You’re mine!!!” shouted Moonlight.
“Let’s get this over with, said Sunlight, calmly blocking the hit. Give me a good fight, will ya?”
Sunset looked at Grogar and walked toward him, and he did the same. She floated above the ground and raised herself to Grogar’s head level, looking him directly in the eyes.
“That flame in your eyes, that boiling compassion in your soul, said Grogar. This determined stare, not even scared, uh?”
“Because i’m going to be the winner of this duel, said Sunset. I saw the future, and it ends with you biting the dust!!”
“Oh, is that so? Said Grogar, grinning. Well, Future can change...It is not set in stone. Let me prove it to you...”
Grogar powered up, Sunset was pushed back by the sheer energy emanating from him.
“The truth is, thought Sunset, I saw my defeat in the last vision i had, drowning in my blood. Barely conscious...But as he said, the future can change at any moment. I can change my future...I will win this fight and save the world!!”
Sunlight and Moonlight were fighting hand to hand, focusing their magic energy in their fists. They were pretty much evenly matched, as both of them hadn’t inflicted a major blow to their opponent.
“You’re insane, Moonlight!! Said Sunlight. Bringing Grogar back from the dead?! Have you lost your mind?”
“The one reason i’ve brought Grogar back was to have him fight your sister, answered Moonlight Frost. He’s an opponent that Sunset Shimmer won’t be able to beat easily. I don’t care about the outcome though...If Grogar defeat your sister, that’s a win. If your sister beats Grogar, it’s also a win for me, because then, she’ll be too weak to fight me. But right now, all i care about is bringing you down, Sunlight. I’m going to replace you!!”
Sunlight created two blade made of magic energy in his hands that he started swinging at Moonlight. This one copied his spell and created two dark magic sabers. Their weapons clashed multiple times, creating sparkles of pure energy with each strike.
”Damn it, thought Sunlight. He’s using the exact same techniques that i do! It’s like he’s copying them...But how?”
Sunlight took some distance and summoned a magic bow from thin air. He then fired two magic arrows at Moonlight, that shattered when they hit his armor. Moonlight laughed.
“Not only did Grogar made me an Alicorn, said Moonlight. Making me immortal and infinitely more powerful than before. He also gave me this Black Scale Armor. Made with the body and soul of a Dark dragon!! It is impervious to elemental magic, and very resistant to magic. You’re as good as dead, Sunlight.”
“I wouldn’t be so sure, said Sunlight. I was fully prepared to this eventuality.”
Sunlight’s aura increased
“Dragon’s Wrath!” he said.
Sunlight’s aura spiked drastically, scales covered part of his face, torso, arms and legs. His eyes became more ferocious and a set of holographic dragon wings appeared in his back.
“You think buffing up will suffice? Said Moonlight. Pfft, Alright, give it your best shot!!”
Sunlight punched Moonlight 5 times in the chest really hard. This one was knocked back from a few meters, seemingly unaffected. Moonlight laughed at him.
“See? Said Moonlight. Not a scratch!!”
His chest plate cracked loudly and he stopped smiling.
“Impossible!!, said Moonlight. With just 5 hits?!!”
“Because you counted 5? Asked Sunlight, turning back to normal. I punched you 300 times...”
“Three....Three Hundred?” asked Moonlight.
Multiple cracks appeared on Moonlight’s armor. A few seconds later, the chest plate shattered into pieces, releasing the spirit of the Dark dragon. The other pieces of the armor all shattered one after another, except the draconic gem that was embedded into the chestplate. It was the Dark dragon’s heart and it was floating in the air.
“There’s no way!! Thought Moonlight. He hit me 300 times in the span of 3 seconds?! No, i can’t accept that!! I can’t!!!”
”Thank you, said the gem. I’m finally free of this prison...But my spirit will be only in peace after i make Grogar pay...of his life. But my time is coming to an end...”
The heart floated toward Sunlight’s. When he touched it, the soul contained inside the draconic gem transfered into his body. The dragon’s spirit partially connected itself to Sunlight. This way, he could see what his host was seeing, feeling, touching, or hearing, without interfering with it’s liberty of movement and free will. The two instantly shared their memories to each other.
“I see, said Sunlight. You only accepted to work with Grogar so he’d spare the dragon clan. And of course, Grogar didn’t respected the deal and wanted to enslave the dragons anyway. You alerted them from the threat and took on Grogar afterwards. This one defeated you, using your skin to make an armor, and trapped your spirit inside. That’s fucked up, You were given the nickname of Ragnaell the Traitor, when you sacrificed your life to save them.”
Sunlight’s mood changed. A flame was burning in his eyes.
“He’s going to pay, alright” said the hero.
He was heading for Grogar, but Moonlight appeared in front of him, with a crazy smile.
“Not so fast” he said.
“But i have a score to settle with this one, said Sunlight. And don’t help me, Ragnaell, i can beat him myself. Keep your strenght for Grogar, supposing my sister doesn’t beat him first.”
”She’s what?! Said Ragnaell. She got a death wish?!”
“She’s stronger than i am, said Sunlight. If anyone can defeat Grogar, it’s her...”
Moonlight’s aura increased in power, he smiled like a psychopath and laughed. Scales grew on his body, and holographic dragon wings appeared on his back.
“There’s no doubt anymore, said Sunlight. You’re copying me...But how?”
“If you can learn and use a spell after only seeing it casted once, answered Moonlight, so can i!! I’m you, remember?! What you can do, i can do it too!!”
Sunlight retransformed into a pseudo-dragon.
“If only you used your talents for good, he said. Your inferiority complex is clouding your judgement...”
While Sunset was fighting Grogar and Sunlight and Moonlight were setting a score, Twilight Sparkle and her friends were trying to keep up with the Legion of Darkness.
“Ya got way stronger! Said Applejack, who was brawling with Tirek. A gift from Grogar, i suppose? You had to receive help from someone else just to keep up with me? How coward of you...”
“It’s Moonlight who asked Grogar to give us more power!! Said Tirek. Beside, we don’t need to beat you. We just have to hold you away from the others, so you girls don’t use your Rainbow Magic!!”
Rainbow Dash was messing with Flim and Flam, running around and dodging all her attacks.
“Stop dodging!! They said at the same time. We’re trying to hit you!!”
“The hell i will!! Said Rainbow Dash. Hey, Pinkie Pie!! You want to switch with me?! My opponents are too boring!!”
Pinkie Pie was fighting Sonata and Aria at the same time and was struggling to keep up.
“I’ve got my hands full, right now!!” she said.
Twilight was dueling with Abacus Cinch, and the latter seemed to have the upper hand, despite Twilight’s best efforts. Fluttershy was fighting Sombra the best she could, but the odds were not on her sides. Rarity, her, was facing Adagio, and was also struggling to land a hit.
“Damn it, said Rainbow Dash. We’re losing...I can hold up those two clowns, but if the rest of them gang up on me, i’ll be pushed to the edge...”
“It’s generally at this moment, said Pinkie Pie, when the heroes are losing, that a miracle happen!!”
“It’s not the time for jokes like that!! Said Rarity. We are the only ones with powers here!!”
“It’s a good thing we showed up, then!!” said Chrysalis.
“We? Asked Twilight. What do you mean?”
Their friends showed up behind Chrysalis. Flash Sentry, Wallflower Blush, Trixie, Big MacIntosh, Sandalwood, Bulk Biceps, Juniper Montage, The Diamond Thugs, Maud Pie, Timber Spruce, Gloriosa Daisy, DJ Pon-3, Vignette Valencia, Shining Armor, Zephyr Breeze, Lyra and Bonbon and finally, Principal Celestia, Vice Principal Luna and Vice Principal Cadance.
“I’m glad our friends came!! Said Rainbow Dash. But how are they going to help us?! They have no powers!!”
“They do!!” said Chrysalis.
“I felt bad for not lifting a finger to help you, said the voice of Discord. So, i gathered all your relatives and friends and gave them magic!! Here’s the miracle you were hoping for, Pinkie Pie!”
“You’re the best friend someone could ever wish for!!” said Pinkie Pie.
Discord smiled and disappeared. Sandalwood, DJ Pon-3 and Zephyr Breeze went to help Fluttershy, while Timber Spruce, Shining Armor, Cadance, Celestia and Luna went to help Twilight. Big MacIntosh and Bulk Biceps went to help Applejack, while Lyra, Bonbon, Maud and Juniper went to support Pinkie Pie. Finally, Vignette and the Diamond Tughs went to support Rarity. Rainbow Dash looked back at the FlimFlam Brothers, a grin on her face.
“I guess no one will help you now!!” she said.
Wallflower Blush, Trixie, Flash Sentry and Gloriosa headed for Sunlight.
“Sunlight!! Said Wallflower Blush. Sunlight!! We’re coming to help you!!”
The girls and Flash stood beside Sunlight and faced Moonlight.
“Out of my way!!!” said Moonlight, creating 4 clones of himself.
“Isn’t that your technique?” asked Trixie.
Sunlight also made 4 clones of himself.
“I can deal with him, don’t worry, he said. Sunset could probably use some help, though!”
He pointed the direction where she was figthing.
“That giant is Grogar, said Sunlight. An ancient, evil overlord bent of world destruction. He’s a powerful enemy, i’m not even sure i could beat him by myself. Let alone Sunset...This is why i want you to support her!! Your presence will boost her morale! Now go!! This is a fight i have to win by my own means!”
“I’ll stay and encourage you!! Said Wallflower. I won’t interfere!!”
The trio nodded and went to help Sunset. Sunlight and Moonlight continued their epic battle, Sunlight encouraged by Wallflower Blush, which gave him more strength. On her side, Sunset was losing against Grogar, who’s overwhelming magic power and Psychic resistance were too much for Sunset to handle. She was losing her willpower but then...
“You can do it, Sunset!!” Shouted Flash.
“Go!! Sunset!! Shouted Trixie and Gloriosa. You can do it!!!”
“My friends!! Said Sunset. I’m so glad to see you right now!! I already feel my forces come back!!”
She turned into her Daydream form and turned the tide of the battle. Now, it was Grogar who was pushed back.
“I see, he said to himself. Moonlight told me friendship was the source of their power. I guess i’ll have to take this seriously!!! No more holding back!!”
Grogar took all the power inside the bell and absorbed it. He grew in size and his aura reached a critical level. Sunlight and Moonlight stopped fighting when they felt it.
“Now, she’s done for! Said Moonlight. She have no chance of victory, now!! Ha ha ha!!!”
Sunlight sucker punched Moonlight in the face, sending him down.
“Your support is appreciated” said the hero, waving at Wallflower.
Moonlight grunted and impaled Sunlight with a long magic blade. Wallflower gasped.
“Eyes always on the enemy, said Moonlight. He he he...”
Sunlight smiled and impaled Moonlight with a magic spear. They both shared a mutual grin of joy and teleported at the same time out of reach of the blades. Sunlight healed his wound and Moonlight as well. The hero did a thumbs up to Wallflower and she calmed down. Meanwhile, Applejack, Big MacIntosh and Bulk biceps, with their combined super strenght, were able to outmuscle Tirek. The tide had turned and the heroes were now at an advantage. Celestia, Cadance, Shining and Luna were protecting Twilight from Abacus, this one was unfairly outnumbered and in distress. Rarity, Vignette and the 3 Diamond Thugs were turning the tides against Adagio, who was running out of breath. Zephyr Breeze, Sandalwood and DJ Pon-3, with Fluttershy, were also gaining terrain on Sombra. Maud, Lyra, Bonbon and Juniper rescued Pinkie Pie, helping her reverse the situation. Rainbow Dash had knocked the brothers out cold and went to assist Fluttershy.
“Hey, Rainbow Dash! Said Zephyr. I know you’re worried for me, but i’m fine.”
“Shut up, Zephyr!! She said. I’m here to help Fluttershy.”
“So, Flim and Flam were defeated, said Sombra. Oh well, i guess i have to use my joker! I was keeping it for Sunlight, but oh well...For you, Moonlight!!”
Sombra turned himself into a monster made of shadows and black crystals. The rest of the Legion of Darkness got inspired by Sombra’s resolution. Tirek entered into a berserker mode, Sonata, Adagio and Aria transformed completely into their Equestrian forms, Abacus Cinch gave herself more power by writing compliments, encouragements and boost destined to her. Sunlight looked at them, then Moonlight.
“See that? Asked Sunlight. They are fighting for you...They are willing to give everything they got to make you happy, because you’re their friend, their inspiration!! But they are not going to win!!”
Moonlight looked at his friends. They were losing, even so, they were not giving up.
“You’re better than me, Moonlight, said Sunlight. I really think it.”
Moonlight was shocked by this statement.
“Of course i’m better than you!!” he said.
“If you want so much to defeat me, go for it, said Sunlight. I won’t fight back...”
He stood immobile, exposing himself to Moonlight. This one unleashed hell on the hero, until Sunlight couldn’t stand up anymore. Moonlight stepped on him and had a look at Sunlight’s pitiful state.
“You did it, said Sunlight, smiling. How does it feel to see me in this state? Was it worth selling your soul to the devil?”
“No...Answered Moonlight. I should be happy to see you utterly defeated. But i don’t...It isn’t satisfying...You just stood there and took the beating, smiling despite the pain.”
He looked at Sunset and friends, who were struggling against Grogar.
“This is our sister that’s fighting that madman, said Sunlight. Is her death worth it for defeating me?”
Wallflower put Sunlight’s head on her legs. Chrysalis appeared behind Moonlight.
“Please, Moonlight, she said to him. Do the right choice...For your friends...For me...”
“Wait, said Sunlight. Is there something between you?”
Moonlight blushed and looked away.
“Maybe” he answered.
“Totally!! Said Chrysalis. We dated a lot of time during those 6 last months!!”
“Deep inside you, i know you care about your friends, just like i do, said Sunlight. You have the heart of a hero...I’m proud you came into my life, because i finally found someone worthy to be my rival. We’re the same, you and me...But look around you, look what you’ve done to satisfy your ego...Are you proud of it?”
Moonlight healed Sunlight and helped him get up.
“Damn it, he said, sheding a tear. After everything you said...I can’t continue that stupid war. You stepped on your ego just to boost mine...Damn you...Sunlight. How selfless can you be?”
Sunlight hugged Moonlight.
“I caused this mess, said Moonlight. So i might as well help cleaning it...”
The Legion of Darkness and the heroes stopped fighting when they saw their leaders hugging.
“They did it...Said Twilight. They finally buried the hatchet...”
Moonlight sent his clones between the two sides.
“Stop fighting, said all his clone to each of the member of the Legion of Darkness. I don’t want to risk your lives for a lost cause. I’m going to fight Grogar, with my arch-enemy, at that. I want you to do the same.”
Tirek calmed down and fell on the ground, exhausted. Applejack and BigMac helped him stand up. Sombra returned back to his normal form and Fluttershy helped him get up. Cinch fell on her knee and was contemplating the ground, Cadance grabbed her hands and looked at her in the eyes. Pinkie Pie untied Flim and Flam and offered them cupcakes. Sonata and Aria also turned back to normal, then Adagio. They joined Sunlight and Moonlight shortly after.
“So, what’s the plan, boss?” asked Sombra to Moonlight.
“Help us take this guy down, he answered, poiting at Grogar. I’m done walking in the path of villainy...Starting now, we are antiheroes...We’re the Shadow Force!!”
Sunset Shimmer was on the ground, defeated. Grogar was exhausted, but happy.
“You have won my respect, Sunset Shimmer, he said. If you surrender now, i’ll spare your life.”
“Just kill me, she said. Because i refuse to be your slave...”
“I didn’t want to kill such a worthy enemy, said Grogar. But i shall grant your wish...”
Grogar was hit by an explosive projectile, that knocked him back.
“I won’t let you kill her! Said Sunlight. You’re figthing me now...”
“So, Moonlight was defeated, said Grogar, Humph...I was going to kill him and his friends anyway after i won.”
Grogar was struck by another explosive projectile.
“That’s funny, said Moonlight. I was exactly thinking the same about you.”
Grogar smiled.
“You two down, the other will lose their will to fight, he said. I spent a lot of power to beat her, but i can still wipe the floor with you...”
Chapter 10: The Conclusion!! You can do it, Heroes!!
Sunlight and Moonlight we’re facing Grogar, with fire in their eyes. Grogar casted a magic dome around him and his two opponents, and Sunset, still unconscious.
“Your friends won’t be able to help you, said Grogar. Nothing can enter this dome, or leave, without my consent.”
Sunlight looked at Sunset and his blood boiled. He teleported above Grogar and did a Summersault Kick that didn’t make the opponent flinch. Sunlight jumped back beside Moonlight.
“Magic chains!!” he said.
Chains ensnared Grogar. Moonlight joined in and casted the same spell.
“Magic Lock!!” said Sunlight.
Locks appeared on the chains, then Moonlight casted the same spell. Grogar was trying to free himself, but with no avail.
“Magic prison!!” said Sunlight.
Grogar got trapped inside a magic cube made of an unknown metal and with spikes inside
“Die, said Sunlight, doing a crushing motion with his hands. Iron Maiden!”
The magic cube started shrinking. Inside, Grogar was laughing and pushed back the deadly trap. Sunlight had a hard time to keep the spell under control.
“He’s going to break out!! Said Moonlight. My turn, now!! Hyper Gravity!!”
Grogar broke out of the magic trap, but was hit by hundreds of G’s at once
“Zero Gravity!!!” said Moonlight.
The gravity around Grogar disappeared, lifting him in the air.
“And Hyper Gravity!!!” he said.
Grogar violently hit the ground. Sunlight threw at him a magic projectile that exploded. He started rapidfiring them without holding back.
“Zero Gravity!!” said Moonlight.
Grogar suddenly floated in the air.
“Hyper Grav...” said Moonlight.
Before he could finish the sentence, Grogar broke free of his spell.
“Enough!! He said. You two are dead!!”
Grogar lost his calm and unleashed a torrent of attacks at his opponents.
“Die!!” he shouted.
Sunlight and Moonlight protected themselves and Sunset with a magic barrier. Seeing that he was wasting his energy, Grogar tried to calm down. Sunset opened her eyes and saw Sunlight and Moonlight fighting Grogar. She tried to get up, but she was too weak. Moonlight put his hand on her head and healed her wounds.
“I’m sorry, he said. I hope you will forgive me”
“You’re fighting together!? Asked Sunset. Did i missed something?”
She touched both of their arms and saw what happened.
“He’s giving us a hard time, said Sunlight. Do you want to fight him again?”
“I’ll try my best, she said. But i barely have any magic left.”
Sunlight and Moonlight nodded at each other and went in their dragon mode. They attacked Grogar head-on. Seeing them fight side to side, in perfect synch with the other, after they had been enemies for so long gave Sunset a shimmer of inspiration. Grogar was on the defensive, tanking Sunlight and Moonlight’s powerful punches and kicks. He knocked both of them back.
“Can’t you do better, shrimps?!” said Grogar, laughing.
The two rivals made copies of themselves...
“Do you want them to use Dragon’s Wrath or not?” asked Moonlight.
Grogar was looking worried. Their clones all buffed themselves with Dragon’s Wrath and ganged up on the villain. Grogar took up the beating and started charging a spell.
“Call your clones back!! Said Sunset to her brothers, using telepathy. Grogar is going to use his bell to absorb their Magic!”
They immediately called their clones back and Grogar was getting pissed again.
“That girl...he said. I need to get rid of her...”
Grogar’s bell was hit by a spell from Sunlight. The artifact lost it’s magic power.
“I forgot about his bell, said Moonlight. Thanks for reminding us, Sunset!!”
“Good luck trying to use it!! Said Sunlight. My Disable spell shut your little toy down...”
“Idiots!! Said Grogar. You let your guard down!!”
Sunlight and Moonlight were suddenly paralyzed from head to toes.
“He he he he!! Said Grogar. It won’t last long, but...”
Grogar lifted Sunset Shimmer by the neck with a magic grasp. Powerless and horrified, they saw him snapping her neck clean. Her body fell lifeless on the ground. Sunlight’s rage exploded, shattering the dome with the sheer power of his aura. Moonlight immediately grabbed Sunset and brought her away. This one suddenly came back to life, gasping for air. Moonlight smiled.
“I’m alive? She asked. But how?!”
“When i touched your head a few minutes ago, answered Moonlight. I didn’t just healed you...I also casted on you a powerful spell that nullify mortal injuries: Undying Body.”
“You learned necromancy? Asked Sunset. Somewhat, i’m not surprised. But how did you know Grogar was going to kill me?”
“Call it a hunch, i guess, answered Moonlight. I also knew that seeing you die would motivate Sunlight. Ol’ Grogar is done for, now.”
Despite Sunlight unleashing all his power and rage on Grogar, this one was still able to stall him. After a moment, Grogar was able to calm Sunlight down a few notches by beating him to the ground. He stepped on Sunlight’s chest, with the intention of crushing his heart.
“I’ll send you join your sister, said Grogar. Be happy...”
Grogar suddenly floated in the air.
“Hey, assface!! Said Moonlight. Don’t forget about me!!”
Sunlight teleported away from Grogar, next to Moonlight.
“I couldn’t avenge her, he said, tears in his eyes. I failed as a hero...”
“She’s not death, dummy, said Moonlight. I’m a full fledged necromancer, you know. I knew Grogar would kill her to erase a potential menace, so i casted on her Undying Body, a spell that nullify mortal wounds once. I also knew you would get super pissed and go godmode on him. Now, girls!!”
A Rainbow Laser struck Grogar. This one used the last of his forces and tried to resist the attack.
“He’s resisting it?!” asked Moonlight.
Sunlight got up and walked toward Grogar.
“I was keeping this spell for an emergency, since i can only use it once, he said. A spell that turn the caster’s desires to reality: Reality Overwrite!”
The Rainbow Laser stopped suddenly. The lower half of Grogar’s body was petrified in stone. Sunlight looked at him in they eyes.
“My desire is that you stop existing, he said to the villain. I want you erased, gone...”
Sunlight was about to cast the spell.
”Goodbye, everyone, he said to himself. The reason this spell can only be used once, is because it kill the caster, erase him from existence...”
“I’m sorry, Sunlight, said Ragnaell. Who took over Sunlight’s body. If someone is going to erase this filth from existance, it have to be me. You have friends that care about you, those people need you. I’m already at death’s door and i want to atone for my sins before dying. REALITY OVERWRITE!!!”
Grogar screamed of fear. A bright, flashy, golden light appeared. The light reached the heroes, the later covered the whole planet, then the solar system, then the galaxy, the Universe, to finally reach beyond, Not only Erasing Grogar from this Universe, but accross the whole multiverse as well. The light faded and Sunlight was standing up, alone.
”Thank you, Ragnaell, he thought. I will remember your sacrifice...”
Sunset jumped on him, followed by Trixie, Wallflower and Gloriosa.
“Woah!! Said Sunlight. One at a time, please!!”
“Is it finally over?” asked Wallflower Blush.
“Yes, answered Sunlight. Grogar is no more, he’s been erased, he doesn’t exist anymore, not even in another dimension.”
He grabbed the bell in his hands.
“Discord, he said. Bring this to Twilight and tell her to get rid of it.”
Discord’s arm grabbed the bell and vanished away with it. Sunlight looked at Moonlight.
“Let’s talk about your punishment, he said. For endangering the entire world, and ressurecting an ancient supervillain...”
“That can wait!!! Said Moonlight. Let’s celebrate our victory first!!”
“Party at the White House!!” said Pinkie Pie.
During the next hours, everyone were having the fun of their life. They were laughing, eating, drinking and laughing some more. After the party ended, Moonlight and his friends were nowhere to be seen.
“And he’s gone, said Sunlight. Too coward to face his punishment...Oh well, We’ll get up to it in due time. For now, let’s just chill!! I’m going on a triple date with Wallflower, Trixie and Gloriosa this week.”
“You’re not inviting Flash?” asked Sunset.
“I leave him to you, he answered. I love Flash, but you’re the one for him, Sis.”
They all returned home in a private jet. In the next weeks that followed their victory, life became normal for our heroes again. Working for their future...And thus, the odyssey of our hero came to an end...
“Alright, alright, stop, said Sunlight. It’s just the end of an arc, not the end of the story. There is still one arc to do!! And there is still one volume to this arc to complete. It’s filler, but it’s going to be light-hearted and fun. Let’s finish this volume on a cool note by writing what happens to us in the future...And cue the ending sequence!!”
Fluttershy bought Canterlot’s Animal Shelter 2 years later, and turned it into a paradise for abandonned animals. She married Sandalwood 10 years later. She eventually overcame her social fear and shyness and lived a long, happy life, helping those who needed it...She died at the respectable age of 109 years.
“Hum, said Sunlight. I would have prefered another guy than this one...But who am i to judge? Okay, next one!”
Rarity became over the years a renowned icon in the world of fashion. She was one of the most successful women in this domain. She never got married and dedicated her life giving to people, without expecting something in return. She ends up murdered by a jealous rival at the age of 40, leaving the world in sorrow.
“That’s fucked up, dude!” said Sunlight.
Applejack finally took over Sweet Apple Acres when Granny Smith died, 10 years from now. She made peace with Flim and Flam, marrying with them eventually. Thanks to the brother’s expertise in business, S.A.A grew up to be one of the biggest farm in the world. She dies at an honorable age of 79 years, leaving her 12 childrens at the head of the company.
“I’m not even gonna comment on that one” said Sunlight.
Rainbow Dash became a world renowned athlete, winning hundred of gold medals and 1st place trophies in her carreer. She gave a lot of money to charity, notably Fluttershy’s one. Somehow, Zephyr ends up winning her over and got many childs with him. She died at the age of 108 years, leaving behind her a legendary legacy.
“Okay, you know what? Fuck this!! Said Sunlight. End the Volume right now!!”
