Simple Mission Get in and Get out not at all a simple mission
It's the year 2050 and things have changed a lot there is now a special force simply known as Extraction. There job is exactly as it sounds. Private Riley Conner has finally finished his training and is assigned what is described as an easy mission. But not everything always works out as planned.
"Welcome Riley Conner." A voice in the walls announced clearly and loudly. Riley just stood there as several beams of blue and green crossed though his body, the hallway has a blinding plain white the walls had lights in them as well. The floors made of solid glass that would make you think about falling, the glass how ever was tougher then bullet proof glass capable of stopping an rpg at less then twenty yards away. This was the most of the layout for extraction. That is all they have ever been called and probably all they will ever be called. The lights flashed off as did the blue and green lasers did as well. Riley sat in the darkness only for a moment before a giant cinder block rushed at him. Riley all ready knew about this it was in his training. He quickly ducked and rolled, as two cinder blocks fell to where he was standing only a minute ago. The lights quickly flashed on again, as a male voice came through the walls.
"Just checking if it really is you Riley." The man called out.
"I all ready know the protocol." Riley said his voice sounding calm and collective. He watched as the window opened revealing a room. Riley quickly ran to the room. He watched as the room filled with gas and the door shut. He chuckled remembering if he never dodged the cinder blocks he would be in a lot of pain, if he dodged them then he would get caught in the gas. Finally after a few more attempts of his training he made it through with no trouble.
"Ah so it really is you then private." The man from the walls said, as he stepped down from a stair case.
"Yes sir." Riley said saluting the man.
"Well then private my name is Conner Sanchez." Conner said as he shook Riley's hand.
"Please to meet you in person, Commander Conner." Riley said as he scanned the room. It was much bigger then he thought many computers and machines all over, the room was pitch black made out of pure granite. The room was very plain not much to it.
"Well then Riley I'm all ready assigning you an assignment." Conner said, as he stopped Riley out of his day dreaming state.
"What is it sir?" Riley asked his voice changing tone, instead of his calm voice it turned to one of that a Drill Sargent blood would run cold.
"I'll show you a bit of information, I think you might even know the target." Conner said as he began walking. Riley quickly jogged up next to Conner as they walked up to a computer.
'I wonder what he meant by knowing the target.' Riley thought as he stopped, and started looking at the monitor.
"Bring up audio file from last night." Conner ordered as he spoke to the computer.
"File 17,755500?" The computer asked her voice sounding plain.
"No file 17,755501." Conner corrected.
"Old piece of junk." Conner whispered to Riley, who only chuckled seeing as how this machine was only a few months old.
"Extracting data..." The computer said as her voice stopped and a option popped up. It said play yes or no. Conner quickly grabbed the mouse and moved it to yes.
"I ne-need help....aft-afte- me found out-secre-.....send help." The voice said as static cut in.
"That voice sounds familiar." Riley admitted.
"It should after all you are a brony." Conner said as he looked at the private.
"You know about that huh.." Riley admitted as a blush formed around his face.
"It's cool I'm one as well." Conner said as he brohoofed Riley.
"So then who was the voice?" Riley asked.
"That is the voice of your favorite pony." Conner told Riley, Riley's eyes went to those of interest to those of shock.
"You mean that is Twilight but what is happening?" Riley asked worried.
"Well who knows now that we discovered the fourth wall was just a thing lied, to by our government we have been able to do so much more." Conner admitted as he folded his arms across his chest.
"True I guess but I mean it's Equestria the most peaceful place ever. Besides the dragons and stuff but I mean come on." Riley said.
"Exactly it's most likely something small still an easy mission even for a private." Conner said handing him a pistol and a smg.
"What is this for?" Riley asked looking at the guns.
"You have to carry them around these are the guns bestowed on a private." Conner said.
"Wait come on did my report not tell you my favorite weapon?" Riley asked a little angered.
"Ah yes how could I have forgotten a sniper rifle." Conner chuckled as he, reached down into a compartment and pulled out a rather large weapon.
"Oh a .50 Cal sniper and it's bolt action a change, a change I like very much." Riley said as he smiled. "One problem with it being Equestria they probably don't use firearms although their fourth wall has never been broken. We have no idea what awaits you there but a human might freak them out try to stay hidden. Take out the dragon or what ever it is." Conner sighed handing Riley four mags for his pistol and a few more for his smg, and only one mag for his sniper.
"Don't you think this is a little to much?" Riley asked.
"Yes but it's standard protocol I don't even expect you to use your weapons." Conner said. He turned to the computer and pushed a few buttons and salute Riley.
"Good luck soldier and bring her back to us." Conner called out as Riley sunk through the floor. Riley watched as his body felt like it broke though glass. He fell to the ground quickly and looked and saw he was in Equestria.
"Much smoother then the training missions." Riley sighed as he brushed him self off. He looked around and his eyes dropped from the sight. "This is...
"You know what you have to do." Celestia said handing Trixie a few forbidden spell books.
"Yes Trixie knows what to do princess." Trixie said with a grin.
"It pains me to do this and keep this hunt going for my student, but she knows to much do with her as you wish Trixie if you can find her." Celestia told Trixie with a look of sorrow in her eyes.
"As you wish princess." Trixie said with a bow leaving the throne room.
'Soon Sparkle I shall get my revenge.' Trixie thought, as she trotted out of the castle.
"This is not normal." Riley sighed as he looked. He saw he was in a desert of some kind. In fact this looked nothing like he saw in the show. No rail road tracks or civilization any where. "Come on this sucks!" Riley shouted, as he kicked the dirt in frustration. Riley scanned the area more and saw a hill about two kilometers away. Riley quickly began jogging as the hot desert sand and sun made the heat unbearable. Riley quickly stopped for a quick breather, he looked and saw nothing not even in the sky. The sun was all he saw and no clouds.
'No chance on rain great.' Riley thought as he kicked the sand. His body was all ready covered in sweat, Riley quickly thought of something to cool him down. He pulled out his knife and held out his arm, Riley bit on his shirt and quickly cut off the sleeve and the other on his next arm. The sun felt hotter and hotter almost like it wanted him dead.
Riley walked to maintain stamina, he wanted to get out of the desert. But not if it cost his life to get out of the desert sooner. By the look of the sun it was around four, Riley knew he had a couple of hours till dark. Riley quickened his pace, the sleeve made bandanna blocked out a lot of the sweat. The sun was starting to cool, which meant it was going to be dark soon. The sand slowing him down, Riley's boots were beginning to warm up faster then he hoped. He stopped for a second and noticed he was a top of the hill.
"Wow took me long enough." Riley sighed to himself. Riley surveyed the area around him and saw woods in front of him. Desert from behind him, and on both sides more desert. Riley sighed until he went into his bags and pulled out food. He pulled out some water and quickly chugged two bottles, only to throw up some of it a minute later. Riley set up camp on the hill for now until day break, then he would make his way into the forest.
Riley grabbed his sniper and looked down his scope, he zoomed it in to get a better view of his area. Riley saw the same thing, until he faced forward and saw smoke coming far away. "Easily a six hour run if I don't run into trouble." Riley noted. The moon was now rising, and Riley quickly lit a fire to scare away animals so he could sleep. Riley slept through most of the night, until he awoke and saw the moon was still bright in the sky. He sighed and checked his watch it was only two in the morning. Riley quickly packed up his items, and grabbed his flash light.
"I guess an early bird get's the hell out of the desert alive and sooner." Riley chuckled at his lame joke. He quickly put out the fire and packed it up in his bag. Before he did he check the usage left on it. "Only two more left better make them count." Riley said. Electronic fires were an old thing invented in 2020.
Riley flipped on his flash light and saw a purple pair of eyes glowing. "Ah who the hell is there?" Riley asked panicked. He quickly pulled out his gun, only to see it ripped out of his hands by an unseen force. He pulled out his side arm only to watch in shock, as it glowed and aimed at him.
"Stand down now." The voice said. Riley could tell whoever it was that it was female. Riley quickly got on his knees and held up his hands.
"Who are you?" The voice asked.
"Ri-Reiley Con-Conner." Riley mumbled in fear.
"What are you?" She asked.
"A hum-human ma'am." Riley stated.
"Never heard of your kind." The voice said.
"I come from Earth I'm from extraction." Riley told the female voice.
"Stand up Riley." She ordered. Riley quickly stood up and awaited his commands.
"Walk to me." The voice commanded. Riley walked to the voice.
"Stop!" She shouted, as he was only a few inches away from her. Riley pulled out his knife and rushed at the female, he quickly grabbed the head of the figure and held his knife at it's throat.
"Unhand me!" She ordered trying to struggle out of Riley's grip.
"Now it's my turn who are you?" Riley asked.
"My name is Twilight Sparkle!" Twilight shouted. Riley quickly let go of Twilight after hearing the name.
"Twilight I'm here to save you." Riley said as he sat down.
"Wait my message got to this planet called Earth?" Twilight asked.
"Well of course we pick up messages from all over." Riley said proudly.
"So then are you taking me back to Earth?" Twilight asked.
"Yes hold on." Riley said, digging through his bag and pulling out a metal beam.
"Oh I have a million questions planned out." Twilight said in joy. Riley sighed in frustration.
"Those questions are going to have to wait." Riley sighed out.
"Why is that?" Twilight asked.
"The portal it's not working." Riley said.
"What why?" Twilight asked in fear and rage.
"I don't know!" Riley shouted. He looked at the metal canister and shook it. "Come on and work you stupid thing!" Riley shouted as he shook it. The canister made a beeping sound and a flash of light happened.
"Ouch my head." Riley sighed as he opened his eyes. He looked around and saw the inside of a tree, filled with many books.
"My house! No this is bad we are in Ponyville!" Twilight shouted in fear.
"No usage left." The canister spoke before it turned off.
"Wait no come on!" Riley shouted. He turned it around, and saw the red light on it meaning it was dead.
"This is bad we are in Ponyville." Twilight exclaimed pacing around.
"I'll tell you later but for now we have to get out of here." Twilight told Riley.
"Come on Twilight this is Ponyville, what are they going to do tickle you till you cry?" Riley asked remembering how peaceful the show is besides a here and there moment.
"No and how do you know about Ponyville?" Twilight asked, in a accusing tone.
"Um...this is hard to explain." Riley started.
"Oh really?" Twilight asked.
"Yes but that can wait for a different time." Riley stated.
"Fine but I still want answers." Twilight reminded Riley. Riley nodded at Twilight.
"Ok then you said we have to get out of here, so let's get moving should be easy enough." Riley said as he walked to the door. Riley quickly opened the door and looked outside, he saw wanted posters of Twilight and ponies with....guns!
"Halt!" A pony said aiming a gun.
"What the hell when did ponies use guns!" Riley shouted as he slammed the door shut.
"Um about two hundred years ago." Twilight stated.
"No that is a lie in the TV show you are all peaceful and stuff, and that you never had guns the guards had spears!" Riley shouted as he cocked his smg.
"TV show what the hay are you talking about?" Twilight asked.
"Um well on Earth there is a TV show called My Little Pony Friend Is Magic. And you see you, Rainbow Dash, Rarity, Applejack, Fluttershy, and Pinkie Pie are the main cast wielding the elements of harmony. It's mostly about you learning friendship and writing friendship reports to Celestia, after we watch your adventures with your friends." Riley said as he popped the door open a bit.
"Wait a second we are in a TV show!?" Twilight asked Riley.
"Yes well I guess not any more after seeing this mess, and I guess they never did show us the real side of Equestria with it being a kids show." Riley admitted not thinking about that part.
"Wait so they show us all peaceful?" Twilight asked. Riley nodded as he aimed his weapon.
"Yes because like I just said, the show is normally a kids show." Riley sighed out as he scanned the area.
"Good times those five years ago everything was peaceful." Twilight sighed.
"Sorry there kid but no back story time right now." Riley told Twilight as he threw her his pistol. Twilight quickly grabbed the pistol with her magic.
"So then are they only after you?" Riley asked.
"It seems not, they took my friends everything. Entire cities suffered because of me." Twilight said as tears fell down her cheeks.
"Shh it's alright Twilight I'll get you out of here." Riley told Twilight trying to calm her down.
"No not without my friends." Twilight said her head snapped back up.
"I can't do that it is not my order." Riley insisted. Twilight just shot him an angry glare.
"Screw your orders or tell them I would not go with you, until I had my friends." Twilight said aiming the gun at the back of Riley's head.
"You sure aren't acting like you do in the TV show." Riley sighed out.
"Stop relating me to the TV show this is real life here!" Twilight shouted.
"There they are!" A male pony shouted, as he pulled out his gun.
"Duck!" Riley yelled as he ducked. A few bullets ripped through Twilight's tree house.
"They're in there!" Another voice shouted. Riley took the butt of his weapon and smashed through the window. He crawled to the right shooting spot, as he avoided bullet fire that was ripping through the house. Riley peeked around the corner and saw a stallion giving orders. Riley ducked down as he avoided a bullet again.
"Ok for things with no hands they are pretty accurate." Riley noted as he poked around the corner again. He quickly pulled the trigger and hit two guards in the chest. A bit of blood came out from the wounds. They dropped to the ground motionless.
"Shoot him before he shoots us!" The stallion yelled out.
"Yes sir!" At least forty guards said.
"Come on and shoot them down!" Twilight shouted.
"No Twilight we are not some super pony or super human here. The only thing we can do is run." Riley said as he reached into his bag and pulled out two odd shaped cones.
"How are cones going to save us?" Twilight asked angrily.
"Shut up and come on." Riley ordered, hoofsteps started to pound on the door. On the fourth attempt the door cracked open and in rushed the guards.
"Howdy there fellas." Riley said with a smirk on his face.
"What are you doing?" Twilight asked.
"Surrender your self and you will face judgement by the princess, who is most generous. If you come with us we will not mention the two guards you killed." The stallion from outside said walking in.
"Sorry boys but I got orders." Riley said with the same stupid smirk on his face.
"Alright open fire boys." The stallion ordered. "Watch now Twilight these stupid cones are helpful, just you watch." Riley said, as he threw them where the ponies stood.
"What why would you even throw cones at us. How pathetic." The stallion chuckled. Riley peaked out from behind the corner once the ponies ran out of ammo.
"Sorry boys I would love to stay and chat, but I just gotta cancel the tea party." Riley said as he pressed a button and the cones exploded. An explosion of several thousand shards of glass and nails erupted from the cones. Riley watched as they ripped his enemies body's to shreds.
"Whoa what the hay." Twilight said amazed at the creation.
"What?" Riley asked.
"Those cones who knew." Twilight sighed out.
"I'm not much of one who likes to get up close and personal, I've always had a great mind so I make these things just in case I have to get close. To be honest I'm strong but not as strong as I would like to be, I've also been known to be pretty quick. Not gonna lie though I do prefer long ranged weapons." Riley sighed out.
"I see so you hate watching things die up close." Twilight said.
"Exactly I hate watching things die slowly and painfully." Riley said as he jumped through the upstairs window. "Let's go!" Riley shouted as he dusted him self off from the fall.
"Look out!" Twilight shouted as she jumped on Riley. Twilight just smiled and giggled.
"Haha very funny now if you forgot your life is at stake here. So where are your friends." Riley said with a smirk on his face.
"You're going to help out my friends?" Twilight asked in joy.
"Might as well besides orders are like rules, sometimes they are just meant to be broken." Riley said.
"Oh thank you thank you." Twilight said in joy.
"Don't be thanking me yet, we still have to go through this town." Riley said pulling out some type of glasses from his bag. He put them on and scanned for heat signatures.
"Incoming." Riley told Twilight as he reloaded a mag into his smg.
'Damn I should have gotten more.' Riley thought, as he watched the mag hit the ground.
"What do you mean?" Twilight asked.
"I mean that we have some guards coming." Riley sighed face palming.
"60 of them what the hay!" Twilight shouted panicking
"Actually we are looking at about 120 guards." Riley said calmly.
"Why are you so calm?" Twilight asked looking at Riley.
"It's simple stick to the rooftops I told you I lack strength but have good speed." Riley told, Twilight as he began finding cracks in the bricks to climb on the rooftops. Twilight just teleported onto the roof above Riley.
"I still don't see how this is going to work, what about the pegasi?" Twilight asked worried.
"Well it's simple you don't stop running or teleporting." Riley said grabbing a smoke bomb.
"There they are!" A voice shouted. Riley quickly threw the smoke bomb.
"Ah smoke everywhere!" A pegasus shouted, as he fell to the ground from flying blind.
"Yo-you coul-could have warn-warned me you we-were goi-going to throw that!" Twilight coughed out.
"Shut your mouth and keep running straight." Riley ordered. Twilight didn't question his orders. Seeing his attitude change completely.
"Use your magic to blow it away." The stallion yelled out.
"Damn..." Riley said stopping.
"Come on Riley!" Twilight shouted.
"Keep going Twilight." Riley told Twilight as he pulled out his smg.
"No not with out you!" Twilight cried out.
"I'll be fine." Riley said turning around to face Twilight and gave a smirk, revealing a few little tiny metal canisters.
"Fine but you better hurry." Twilight said. A few pegasus dived at Twilight but she teleported out of the way, only to return fire by firing a few bolts of magic that ripped the ponies in half.
"Well then you human, you wish to aid a fugitive you must pay for your actions." The stallion said to Riley looking him in the eyes. Riley returned the gaze his dark brown eyes giving him a death stare.
"Orange hair how odd the last human we killed had brown hair, but yours is spiky. His hair was flat." The stallion said. "Odd the last group of ponies I dealt with talked this much, well then allow me to introduce myself I'm Private Riley Conner." Riley said his voice calm and cool. 'Another human here but how?' Riley thought silently sweating bullets.
"A private well then this will be easy." The stallion said looking at Riley's dog tags.
"Don't count on it, if you were paying attention you would notice the gas in the air." Riley said hoping back from the gas.
"What is this?" The stallion asked.
"Simple the gas kills you rather fast, it shuts down all your organs starting with your heart so you don't suffer to much." Riley sighed leaving.
'If I keep running into these big groups I'm going to die that was one of my last tricks, the next time I face a big group I'm dead if I don't play my cards right.' Riley thought as he caught up with Twilight.
"Um Riley how are you back so fast?" Twilight asked.
"Let's just say a gas that kills you in about 30 seconds." Riley told Twilight.
"Why would you even have that!" Twilight shouted.
"I uhh you know what I don't really know." Riley admitted a blush covering his face now.
"Princess we have word that a human is helping Twilight." A servant said.
"Then he too is wanted, only I want the human killed on sight unless he holds information, that will help us." Celestia said.
"Go to sleep Twilight." Riley told Twilight. "I can't just let you stay up and guard me." Twilight tried to argue. "Twilight just do it for me please." Riley begged. Twilight just giggled and nodded. "Thank you." Riley told Twilight. Riley covered Twilight up with his blanket and leaned against a tree. "This is Private Conner." Riley said using his head set.
"Ah Private Conner this is Commander Conner." The Commander said. "Sir I'm afraid the mission is much more different then we thought, it turns out all of the elements have been kidnapped. The ponies now have guns, this is nothing like the TV show." Riley said.
"Of course nothing can go right, do you at least have Twilight?" Commander Conner asked, hoping Riley would say yes. "Yes I do but I'm going to need backup." Riley said. "Well unfortunately every one is busy on a mission, what about your device to bring you back here?" Conner asked Riley. "Well it's not working right now." Riley sighed out as he looked at it.
"Dammit to hell alright hold up I will ship you supplies, tracking your location new mission rescue the Elements of Harmony." Conner said over the Com-Radio. "Yes sir." Riley said before the communications went offline. Riley sat there as he saw his new orders come through his helmet, he also saw a list of supplies being dropped through.
"If they can ship supplies can't they get us out of here?" Twilight asked standing up. "No it's not that simple we can't get out of here without this." Riley said holding up his escape pod. "Why can't they send us another one?" Twilight asked. "These things cost thousands to make and one certain microchip that is special, it has a certain code in it that only lets you out of certain areas for example this one is for Equestria only." Riley said holding up the escape pod.
"Incredible it's almost like magic the wrong type of concentration and you could have a failed spell or a reverse spell, doing the spell wrong affects to the pony who cast it." Twilight exclaimed. Riley looked at Alpha Glove hitting a few buttons on the screen. Twilight looked over interested in what he was doing.
"You might want to back up a bit." Riley warned Twilight, as he took a few steps backs. "Why?" Twilight asked before she looked up and saw a strange crate coming through the sky, she yelped before she teleported next to Riley. "That's why." Riley said walking forward to the crate. He bent down and typed in the combination the airlock opened as the giant metal door slammed down.
Riley used his Alpha Glove as a flashlight sorting through the items he turned and threw a bulletproof vest, two Desert Eagle pistols, one M16 and, one Remington 870 shotgun to Twilight. "What are these for?" Twilight asked. "Those are your weapons." Riley stated as he grabbed his MP7 and more ammo for his .50 cal, he grabbed a few grenades, as well as more bullets for his .45 Magnum, last he grabbed a Remington 870 shotgun.
"If came from here!" A voice shouted. "Quickly move find out what it was." A voice said. "Shit." Riley whispered before he inserted a grenade into the Alpha Glove, he aimed it up a bit and pressed a button launching it to the assigned area.
"Run now!" Riley shouted to Twilight. Twilight lit up her horn and ran towards Riley. "Now towards me!" Riley shouted grabbing the riot shield.. "Trust me." Twilight said as her horn flashed. Riley closed his eyes and quickly opened them to find they were in a city. "What no this is not the right spot!" Twilight shouted angrily.
"That's right Sparkle first I'll see how you do in these situations before I come have my fun." Trixie said with a smirk on her face.
"What do you mean?" Riley asked. "Somepony is interfering with my magic." Twilight said. Hoofsteps came from all directions from where Riley and Twilight where. "Stop right there criminal scum!" A guard yelled. Riley looked around to see they were surrounded from all sides. "You asked for backup here is comes." Commander Conner said through the Com-Radio. Riley looked as he saw his HUD display incoming drones.
"I owe you Commander." Riley said. "Alright we surrender." Riley said. "What are you doing?" Twilight whispered.
"Lower your weapons then!" A guard shouted. Riley quickly lowered his MP7, Twilight lowered her M16. "Kick them to us." The guard ordered. "Incoming." Conner said over the Com. Riley gave a smirk before shooting a few guards in the head before the aerial drones started firing on the guards.
"Quick aim for those things in the sky!" A guard shouted. "Run!" Riley shouted pulling out his riot shield, he ran through the guards knocking them on the ground. "There they are open fire!" A pony shouted, Riley quickly felt a few bullets hit his riot shield. Twilight and Riley hid behind a building. "They went behind the building." A guard said.
"Riley drones are picking up multiple hostiles in your vicinity." Conner said. "Roger that." Riley said, as he pulled out his Remington. He waited till he heard hoofsteps up close before he turned corner and shot the guard in the chest. Riley saw his armor get ripped to shreds as the pony flew back against a wall.
"Over there return fire." A few ponies shouted shooting off towards the area where they were at. "What ever those things were in the sky are gone sir, but they took out many stallions." A soldier reported to his superior. "Great now we have soldiers to deal with." Twilight sighed. "Bring out the heavy weapons try not to kill the PC's Celestia wants them alive." The commanding officer ordered. "Grenade out!" Riley shouted launching and throwing one. Riley watched as a few guard where filled with shrapnel.
"Return fire!" The commanding officer ordered. "Pegasus bombers incoming!" Twilight shouted shooting a few down. Riley watched as a grenade landed behind Twilight. "Move Twilight!" Riley shouted jumping on it with the riot shield. The grenade went off destroying the riot shield, some of the shrapnel went through hitting Riley's vest.
"Are you alright?" Twilight asked ducking behind a crate to avoid fire. "Just a bit shaken up." Riley said dusting himself off. He noticed he was bleeding a bit but he ignored it for now. "Where is the nearest way out of here?" Riley asked. "Let's see this is Manehattan to the ocean would be the safest area for now." Twilight said. "Sir I need you to mark the Manehattan Coast on the HUD, and I'm going to need two suits we are going wet." Riley said returning fire hitting a soldier that popped out from the corner.
"Copy that head twenty meters right and go straight for one kilometer from there it's wide open ocean." Conner said. Riley saw that the suits were dropping in five minuets. "Let's go pull out the shotgun don't stop running!" Riley shouted throwing an electric grenade and a flash out. "Go now!" Riley ordered shooting a guard who ran up in front of them, he flew back his body had several holes in it.
Twilight shot a guard who was hiding behind a wall, Riley turned around seeing a pony with a suicide vest on. The pony ran straight at them, Riley pushed Twilight out of the way before tackling the suicide bomber to the ground. "Go!" Riley ordered "Not without you." Twilight said. "Do it now Sparkle at least one of us needs to make it out of here." Riley said throwing Twilight the Com helmet.
"If I'm not back at our first camp sight by tomorrow I'm either dead or captured if so then request back up." Riley said slashing through the wires before the suicide bomber could press the button. "Please come on you have to come with me!" Twilight shouted. "There they are!" The commanding officer shouted.
"GO DAMMIT!" Riley shouted shooting a few of the guards and taking the suicide bomber as a hostage. "You shoot and we all die here for nothing." Riley said, as he turned around and saw Twilight running to the ocean. "Drop your weapons all of you." Riley ordered. "Only if you do first." A female voice said aiming a gun at the back of his head.
"Commander Trixie!" A soldier shouted. Riley quickly dropped his weapon. "Good now get on your knees and face Trixie human." Trixie ordered. Riley followed his orders and looked up at Trixie. "Put him in cuffs and take him to the base camp." Trixie ordered. "What about Sparkle?" A soldier asked. "I can't track her for some reason perhaps the human will tell us where she is going." Trixie grinned before bucking Riley in the face knocking him out cold.
Riley woke up with a huge amount of pain in his face, he tried to touch his face but noticed there were cuffs on him.
"You're awake that's good." Trixie said facing Riley.
"You're the one who kicked me before, I swear I'll get my revenge." Riley said trying to get out of the cuffs.
"How cute the prisoner making threats." Trixie laughed while rolling her eyes, she then moved to Riley stabbing her horn in his flesh wound. Riley screamed in agony, which got Trixie to give an evil grin. "Trixie can make all this stop and even get you home, all you have to do is tell me where Sparkle is." Trixie said grabbing Riley's face with her hoof.
Riley just gave a slight smirk before be stood up and grabbed Trixie by the neck.
"You listen here now you will let me out of here alive with my gear, or I will kill you right now." Riley said looking into Trixie's eyes.
"How did you get out of those, you know what never mind, you must have forgot about Trixie's magic." Trixie told Riley before she pinned him on the ground.
"Guards quick hand Trixie the book of forbidden spells." Trixie called out. A guard quickly handed her the book, she quickly flipped through the pages till she found the spell.
"Ah mind control there it is." Trixie said out loud on purpose. She placed her horn on Riley's head, before his eyes glowed a different color showing the spell should worked.
"Stand up slave." Trixie ordered. Riley quickly stood up and faced Trixie.
"Good boy now lick Trixie's hoof you worthless pile of trash." Trixie ordered.
"Yes master as you command." Riley said kneeling down as he licked Trixie's hoof.
"Now tell me where is Sparkle!" Trixie shouted.
"Not gonna happen there kiddo, and by the way clean those hooves more often." Riley said.
"Wait the spell it didn't work, that's impossible." Trixie stated in shock.
"No but you must admit I'm a pretty good actor." Riley said with a smirk. Trixie was annoyed by the this, and used her magic to chain him to a chair. His legs and hands were moved to where it was impossible to get out of.
"Well then, Trixie tried to be nice but brute force seems to be the only option." Trixie said with a sly grin on her face.
"Bring your worst." Riley said.
"How do I work this helmet thing?" Twilight asked herself after making it to a nearby island.
"It's working right now, and who is this speaking?" Conner asked.
"I'm Twilight Sparkle who is this?" She asked.
"Ah I see it's glad to hear you're safe Miss Sparkle, to answer your question this is Riley's boss Conner." Conner stated.
"Riley was kidnapped, he needs help I tried to help him but he told me to run." Twilight stated.
"Hmm this is a problem but luckily extraction team 1 and 2 just finished there missions, I'll send them in 0200 hours." Conner said.
"Two hours I don't think Riley can last that much longer, who knows what they are doing to him." Twilight said worried.
"I wouldn't worry about him, we had a interrogation test he lasted over seven hours an academy record. Don't worry about him." Conner told Twilight. Twilight gave a nervous sigh, before she started crying.
"Wh-what do yo-you want me..t-to d-do?" Twilight sobbed out, her face in the ground.
"Stay there." Conner said.
"Okay." Twilight said in a weak voice. She silently cursed herself for being so weak.
"Tell Trixie where she is!" Trixie demanded slapping Riley. Riley's face was a bit swollen his lip bleeding and he had two black eyes, but he still held strong. His response was a shrug and a smirk.
"You will tell Trixie now!" Trixie yelled, as she lit her horn up and rammed it in Riley's wound. He screamed only for a minute before he started laughing.
"Is this the best you have for me?" Riley asked. Trixie bucked Riley in the stomach knocking him and the chair over, before she towered over him.
"Why do you not tell Trixie where Sparkle is, how much pain do you want to go through?" Trixie asked Riley.
"Pain what a joke. Please Trixie everyone has their own definition of pain, so keep it coming." Riley told Trixie. Trixie left the interrogation room, Riley heard her say put him in a cell. A black stallion came in and undid the cuffs and chains, he helped Riley up and dusted him off.
"You sure can take a beating human, I'm impressed." The guard said.
"I'm surprised you're talking to me, but please that was nothing." Riley said. The guard escorted Riley out into the hallway, before pulling him into a corner spot.
"Listen here human I'm part of the rebellion, just play along and I'll explain everything on the way." The rebellion pony said handing Riley a pistol. Riley followed the pony, until he stopped and hid again, avoiding contact with the other guards.
"I have two snipers placed on the hills above.The rebellion pony said. On my mark we run." He finished. Before he held up his hoof and waved it up and down three times.
"Mark!" He shouted, before him and Riley quickly ran the shore.
"So now let's talk while we're on the run, you said you're part of a rebellion but for whom?" Riley asked.
"Rainbow Dash is our leader and you're gonna help me bust her out of her holding cell, the Princess was smart in splitting up the elements up." The rebellion pony said.
"You saved me so I'll help you, the names Riley." Riley said looking over to the pony.
"The name is Midnight Breeze." Midnight Breeze said before he threw something at the ground, Riley noticed he threw four different flares at different locations. He used his magic to throw them further.
"Go to the blue one." Midnight called out. Riley looked before running he winced in pain as the blood started pooling out a bit. "You okay kid?" Midnight asked concerned. He nodded holding his wound.
Twilight looked out and saw the flares all over.
"What can that be for?" She asked herself.
"Get ready Sparkle the backup is coming much earlier then expected." Conner said. Twilight waited for a few minutes before she saw a few humans come in drop pods, followed by a few more. She counted six of them, she watched as all of them stepped out their weapons in the drop pods with ammo.
"You must be the unicorn everyone is talking about." A female said. Twilight backed up a bit in fear.
"My names Kayla, I'm the leader of extraction team one, the other is Tyler he leads extraction team two." Kayla said.
"Alright team two let's get on the move, double time." Tyler ordered those in his team.
"I-I'm Twilight Sparkle." Twilight said in a weak voice.
"The name is Mark team one's second in command." Mark said kneeling down.
"You know normally a war zone is the military's job." Tyler said to the others.
"You always said you wanted to be in one." Kayla reminded him.
"I know I know oh where are my manners howdy Miss Sparkle, the name is Tyler my second is command here is Jake." Tyler said.
"Who are the other two?" Twilight asked.
"The one in the white suit's is team one's James, mine the one in a black uniform is Jamie." Tyler said.
"Ok enough introductions I wanna find out what those flares are about." Kayla said. The two teams geared up before going in to the water, followed by Twilight.
'They really must do this for a living, they aren't even wasting anytime.' Twilight thought putting on the gear following the others. "They even have gear made for unicorns, that's crazy.' Twilight followed behind the others, she was surprised the suits kept the cold water from getting her fur wet. She felt it hugging her fur tightly. The water was rather dark besides the slim slits of moonlight, but she followed the others following the lights on their gear.
"Activating turbo." Tyler said over the radio. He moved ahead almost about to hit landfall. He stopped for a second before taking off his scuba helmet, he discarded it before he pulled out his side arm. Tyler motioned for the others to follow him up. The small group of seven came right in front of a blue flare.
"Quick pick up the pace." Midnight Breeze said. Riley quickly ran to catch up. The two banked left and reached the blue flare followed by the two snipers, the were met face to face with guns.
"You three ponies step away from the human." Kayla ordered.
"Wait it's fine they're with me, well..." Riley stopped as he got tackled by Twilight. "Oh thank goodness you're fine!" Twilight shouted.
"Lower your weapons." Tyler ordered.
"Sir..." Jamie said.
"That's an order." Tyler said yanking Jamie's shotgun down to the ground.
Riley stood up and told the others about Rainbow Dash, and her rebellion and the rescue mission.
"Well then looks like we are in for one hell of night." Kayla said with a slight gin.
"It's honor to be working with team one and two." Riley said holding his wound.
"Kid it's nothing special we all do the same job, now hold still this might sting." Tyler said pouring alcohol into Riley's wound. He cringed and breathed, as he watched dirt and other things come out of the wound.
"So you're saying you can rescue Rainbow Dash?" Twilight asked Midnight with hope in her voice and eyes.
"With the help of these humans yes, but follow me." Midnight said. Twilight looked confused but followed.
"I'm not the biggest fan of working with these two legs, I say we use them to rescue the others, then we get rid of them." Midnight whispered into Twilight's ear.
"What no way they are helping us, you even saved Riley's life." Twilight exclaimed shocked.
"He was a necessary asset a piece to a bigger picture." Midnight told her. He kicked the dirt with his hoof and put a hoof on Twilight's shoulder. He felt a rush emotions rush through him. He took his hoof off of Twilight's soft cost very slowly enjoying her warmth, he took in every moment of it.
"What was that for?" Twilight asked with a disgusted look. "First you want to use these humans, then all of a sudden you're touching me like you're my coltfriend." Twilight told the colt in front of her quietly, to which Midnight was greatful for. He just moved back to the group slowly, completely ignoring Twilight. "Typical colt." Twilight sighed annoyed as she moved back to the group.
"I have a feeling it seems that the Midnight pony is not to be trusted, he is just going to use us." Kayla said her eyes glancing at Midnight, showing mistrust.
"Why would he say that he helped me, why would he use us?" Riley asked confused.
"You sure are soft." Mark chuckled?
"Leave the kid alone, he is a fng anyway." Tyler said looking up at the stars.
"Wow never knew you had a soft side." Kayla said surprised.
"There is a lot you don't know about me..." Tyler replied annoyed.
"Although I do know one thing." Kayla giggled. She laughed harder watching Tyler's face turn a few shades of red.
"Don't bring it up." Tyler said as he sat up and had a slight blush now instead of his deep red one, before he packed up his gear and handed a weapon to Riley.
"What are they talking about?" Riley asked, taking the weapon moving over to Mark.
"Let's just say teams two's leader over there has a bit of a crush on team our leader, but hey I can't blame him she is a pretty attractive girl." Mark said. Kayla looked at Mark and rolled her eyes.
"Hold still for a second." Tyler said spraying Riley with something in his wound this time, before he wrapped him up. Twilight cringed seeing Riley cringe, it pained her to see him like this because of her. A tear hit the ground.
"Tha-thank...you." She whispered as another tear hit the ground.
"What was that?" Riley asked looking at Twilight, with a puzzled look.
"I said thank you." Twilight repeated as a few more tears hit the ground.
"It's really nothing Twilight I'm doing my job literly." Riley looked at Twilight trying to reassure her.
"Your mission was to rescue me, now instead you're risking your life with the others because of me." Twilight sighed, her deep purple eyes welling up with more tears. They stained her soft Lavender coat. Riley wiped away her tears and hugged her.
"Everyone needs a shoulder to lean on in their darkest hour. It may not make sense now but give it time." Riley whispered as he slowly stood up. He saw and heard Twilight calm down a bit.
"I might have a soft side but I'm not that soft, so then Midnight where is your base camp?" Tyler asked the last part so everybody could hear it.He was glad no one saw him wipe away a tear after what happened.
"It's closer then you think." Midnight said with a smirk on his face, pointing his hoof into the woods.
"Let's go now." Tyler said with a strange look towards the town. Riley stood up and started walking ahead of the group with Twilight.
"So what happened to you?" Twilight asked looking at Riley.
"I was captured by Trixie and well she thought she could make me break, but she would literally have to pour acid down my throat to get me to say anything." Riley chuckled trying to make a joke, which Twilight did not take to lightly because she actually gave Riley a punch in the arm.
"Sorry I guess that wasn't funny." Riley apologized.
"No it wasn't." Twilight coldly stated. The others laughed except for Midnight.
'What the buck just happened. I thought for sure Twilight would agree to ditch these clowns after they've served their purpose.' Moonlight thought leading the group.
"Look here stick to the shadows and we should be fine. Trixie will probably send an entire platoon after us. Don't get spotted and we should be fine." Moonlight told them.
"How are you feeling Riley?" Twilight asked looking at her new friend.
"Just peachy." He replied weakly.
"You are such a terrible liar do you want to end up like Tyler? Quit pulling the hard ass act." Kayla said looking at Riley held his stomach wound still.
"Hey that was uncalled for!" Tyler shouted before he was met with a bunch of shut ups. He just grumbled quietly which got Kayla and Twilight to giggle softly. "Yeah, yeah laugh it up." Tyler whispered rolling his eyes. He still had a blush on his face.
"So with you being team's one and two does that mean you are the best?" Twilight asked looking at the others.
"No not even close compared to another group." Mark sighed. Twilight looked confused.
"How come Riley was so amazed by seeing you guys then?" Twilight looked at Riley who gave off a blush.
"It's because they are pretty much the best of the best." Riley admitted.
"That might be true but there is a team that puts ours to shame. It's known as team S. They are a squad of ten, the director himself only has special jobs for them only." Kayla said looking at Riley and Twilight.
"Yeah there is no way either of our teams will be able to touch them in skill." Tyler admitted sighing.
"There might be a way." Riley said stopping for a second.
"Oh yeah what is it?" James asked following suit in stopping.
"Simple combine teams one and two, call yourselves team D." Riley said with a grin on his face looking at their surprised faces.
"Look you don't think we thought about that before?" Jamie asked.
"Look I'm sure you have but have you ever tried to put it into action?" Riley asked.
'This kid might be onto something.' Moonlight thought looking back at the group.
"Well...ummm no." They all said at the same time. Riley just sighed and face palmed.
"Why the hell haven't you?" He asked confused.
"Well because of the love interest the two team leaders have for each other. They just won't tell them how they think about the other." Mark said before being interrupted.
"We so don't like each other!" They both shouted, both their face glowing red with a blush. They both looked at each other before shrinking back a few inches.
"See and because of this every attempt to combine the two just fails." Mark finished.
"Well I've noticed that separate teams have been combining into larger ones. So why not do the same now, I mean this is the perfect time. The director didn't just pick your teams by coincidence now did he?" Riley asked as the two teams looked at each other again. "So why not just do it I'm sure that your team will be able to beat team S in no time." Riley said. He looked as Kayla and Tyler both talked about it with each other. Riley noticed both of them split up and looked directly at Riley.
"Well you see there is one problem." Kayla said looking at him.
"What is it?" Riley sighed waiting for a stupid response.
"It's just that you called it our team, you see it was your idea, so it just wouldn't feel right if you weren't apart of it." Tyler said.
"I didn't even come up with the idea, you guys said you all ready came up with it. All I did was make you guys realize that you should team up." Riley said blushing again.
"Look bottom line is you helped us so it's official you are now apart of Team Delta!" Kayla and Tyler shouted before being told to shut up again. By all except Moonlight who stopped.
"Well here it is the rebel base camp." Moonlight said as his two snipers were by his sides.
