Learning to Love
Chrysalis woke up in bed with a pegasus she had never seen before in her life. Her dusty pink coat and blond mane were cute, but she didn't have time for that. She had revenge to plot. She tried to get out of the bed, but the blanket snagged on the holes in her legs, and she fell on her face. She struggled for far too long until, with a roar of frustration, she finally got to her hooves.
She walked to the window. Outside was a city she had no memory of ever entering. She looked back at the mare in the bed, an evil grin spreading on her face.. She should be a tasty snack to get her energy back.
"Oh, hey. You're awake."
Chrysalis whipped around to face a white pegasus with a mane...that reminded her of watermelon for some reason. She was very athletic looking. Just her type, for sure. But she wasn't here for that. VENGEANCE!
"Oh. You forgot." Zipp smirked and maintained eye contact as Chrysalis glared at the white pony. Zipp walked forward and sat down next to the bed. "See, we found you last night digging through a dumpster in the alley behind the stadium. You seemed a little out of it, so we brought you here to get you cleaned up."
"I would NEVER dig through a dumpster. I am a queen! I am above such things."
"Yeah, you kept saying that. You also said you were hungry. When we offered you food you said you only feed on love. I figured why not? Magic is back and weird stuff is happening all the time. Why not this? So my marefriend and I decided to feed you with a threesome."
A monstrous yawn came from the bed. Zipp and Chrysalis winced and covered their ears. Zipp walked over and gave her marefriend a sloppy and passionate kiss. Their love hung in the air and Chrysalis sucked it up greedily. The two pegasi laughed as they watched their new friend enjoy her breakfast.
"So, Miss Mystery Queen." Dazzle Feather was holding Zipp, but looking directly at Chrysalis. "What's your name? We had so much trouble getting you here, we didn't have time to ask. Then we were having too much fun to ask." She giggled and nuzzled Zipp's neck.
Chrysalis felt her power returning to her with the amount of love and affection these two were sharing. Soon, she would be able to rid herself of them and seek her revenge. In the meantime, it would do to humor them. She looked at the two and smiled.
"Thank you for your hospitality." She gestured toward the two nuzzling ponies. "And the meal. I must admit, I'm not familiar with the area. Would you mind if I stayed a day or two? Just enough for me to get my bearings."
Dazzle flapped her wings and flitted over to the tall changeling. She landed and started rubbing her hoof on the taller creature's flank. "Honey, if you keep treating us like you did last night, you can stay as long as you want."
Chrysalis couldn't quite describe what she was feeling. There was a lump in her throat and her hooves were tingling. Then it clicked. She felt loved. It was a feeling she had come close to once, but arrogance got in the way. She couldn't bring herself to be loved or to love because she was so much better than that. But she realized she wasn't better. She wanted this more than anything else she had ever wanted.
Her heart started racing and she was so happy she felt like she was going to burst. Chrysalis looked down at Dazzle Feather standing before her and the world dropped away. She didn't even realize she was smiling until Dazzle reached her hoof up and stroked her cheek. "You have a beautiful smile when you let it show." Dazzle giggled again. "And we certainly saw a lot of it last night."
Chrysalis didn't know what took over her, but she leaned down and kissed this mare in front of her. She felt like she was overflowing and just needed to pour it out. She felt warm and tingly all over her body. Her chest felt like it might explode but she didn't care. The mare's lips were soft and warm and she just wanted to love them.
"Whoah."
Zipp's exclamation broke her out of her reverie and she pulled away from Dazzle. Dazzle opened her eyes and then she opened them wider as she gasped. Chrysalis became worried. "What? What happened?"
Dazzle reached up and stroked her cheek once more. "Stay there. I'll be right back with a mirror." She ran down the hall while Zipp approached.
"You changed, Chrysalis. You were kissing Dazzle and you just...changed. How do you feel?"
"I feel..." Chrysalis considered herself for a moment. She felt the same, yet something was clearly different. She lifted a hoof to rub her head, but froze when she saw it. Her black chitin was gone. In its place was a light yellow coating free from holes. She checked her other legs. All the same color and all fully healed after all this time.
"Here we go. Take a look at yourself." Dazzle handed Chrysalis the mirror and she inspected herself. The yellow of her legs was also covering her face. Her eyes were still there, but her mane was softer and more full than it had been in her entire life. Her horn was also complete once more, matching in color with the rest of her body. She brought the mirror down and looked at the two ponies smiling at her.
"I'm not hungry." The statement surprised her as she said it. "I've been hungry my entire life. I cannot remember a time when I wasn't hungry."
The pegasi stepped forward and embraced the changed changeling queen. She sat and held them both to her chest, which was now covered in soft orange fur. She held them and began weeping. She felt so free. No hunger gnawing away at her, driving her to attack cities she had no hope of taking. No desire to take something from others that she didn’t have. Because she had it now. Not only did these two ponies see her at her worst and still love her, but she also finally learned how to love in return. And she wanted nothing more than to continue loving these two wonderful ponies.
Kisses began tracing along either side of her neck. Chrysalis's hooves began idly massaging between two sets of wings, eliciting soft moans from the Pegasus. Hooves began rubbing her thighs, slowly making their way up. A muzzle made it up to her ear. "I'm actually off work today." The other muzzle found her other ear. "I blow my mom's plans off all the time." Chrysalis turned to face Zipp in confusion, but her questioning melted away and their lips met in a passionate exchange.
She enjoyed giving love as much as receiving it. A mild bout of regret popped up, as she could have done this long ago, but it was quickly squashed. Only these gorgeous mares could have opened her eyes. She knew it. She knew it deep down in her soul.
Chrysalis lifted both pegasi in her magic and laid them back on the bed. "Are you two ready to see what a changeling queen can really do?"
Their enthusiastic nods were encouraging.
