You work five nights at the Equestria Girls' Cupcake Corner.
You apply for a job for the Equestria Girls' Cupcake Corner and have to work their for five nights. However, working there isn't as you expected it to be. The family entertainment center you use to go to as a kid isn't the most family entertaining place it was all that time anymore.
Warning: This story is like, all scary and stuff. But for real, FNAF isn't the most kid friendly thing but you already knew that.
Today is my first day at my new job at the Equestria Girls’ Cupcake Corner. This had been my childhood since I was like no older than ten years old, and now it’s my new job. I entered the family entertainment center, admiring everything and getting some nostalgia. I then entered my office and the night shift had officially started.
As I was getting comfortable, a phone started to ring. I picked it up to see that someone had left a message.
“Hello, hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you to help you get settled in on your first night. I actually used to work in that office before you. Don’t worry, you’ll do fine. Anyways, let's just focus on getting you through your first week. Okay? Uh, let's see, first there's an introductory greeting from the company that I'm supposed to read. Uh, it's kind of a legal thing, you know. Um, "Welcome to the Equestria Girls’ Cupcake Corner. A magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life.”
The message was all fine and dandy till the phone guy said the following;
“So, just be aware, the characters do tend to wander a bit. Uh, they're left in some kind of free roaming mode at night. Uh, they used to be allowed to walk around during the day too. But then there was The Bite of 2013. Yeah. I-It's amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe, you know?”
Hearing that part made my heart stop. Knowing that this place had caused something as horrible as this made me never see this place the same way. But that wasn’t even the worst part.
“Uh, now concerning your safety, the only real risk to you as a night watchman here, if any, is the fact that these characters, uh, if they happen to see you after hours probably won't recognize you as a person. They'll most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton without its costume on. Now since that's against the rules here at the Equestria Girls’ Cupcake Corner, they'll probably try to...forcefully stuff you inside a suit. Um, now, that wouldn't be so bad if the suits themselves weren't filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area. So, you could imagine how having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort...and death.”
My adrenaline was pumping. I was literally putting my life on the line now. Hearing all the dark secrets of this place made me want to quit right now. The phone guy then mentioned the animatronics.
“Oh! And about the animatronics. If you check the cameras, you’ll see that they are all broken.”
I checked the cameras and the phone guy was right. No one was on stage. On Camera 5 showed Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, and Applejack. On Camera 12 showed Twilight Sparkle and Spike. Camera 8 showed Rarity, and they were all dirty, rusted, and broken. Why are these animatronics broken? And also, where was Rainbow Dash? I checked every camera and couldn’t find her. Did they get rid of her? If so, why? Why would they get rid of one of the main characters, one of the most popular characters of the Mane 6?
“These guys have been vandalized. No one knows why they just are. My guess is that this place is slowly becoming abandoned and the animatronics were left to rot.”
Well that answers why they are broken. However, I’m still wondering what happened to Rainbow Dash.
“With all that covered, your first day should be a breeze. I'll chat with you tomorrow. Uh, check those cameras, and remember to close the doors only if absolutely necessary. Gotta conserve power. Alright, good night.”
After the message had ended, I went back to checking the cameras.
The clock was at 1 AM and the animatronics were still inactive. After flicking through the cameras for a few more minutes, something weird started to happen. The cameras started crashing for a few seconds. After the cameras went back to normal, Pinkie Pie was nowhere in the Supply Closet.
“What the?”
I exited out of the cameras and went back to see if that was just a system problem, but it wasn’t. Pinkie Pie was no longer in the Supply Closet.
“Oh God! Uh, it’s fine. He did say that they roam around right?”
I checked the cameras to see Pinkie Pie in the Party Room.
It was 3 AM. Checking the cameras I found Pinkie at the West Hallway and that Fluttershy had made her way to the Party Room.
“Oh jeez. Pinkie is getting close and I have to look out for another animatronic. This is fine, I think.”
It was 4 AM. Pinkie was at the Left Corner while Fluttershy was at the Bathroom. Knowing that Pinkie was at the Left Corner scared me since she was literally right outside the office. I looked at the left door and saw blue eyes glowing through the darkness of the door.
“AAAAHHHHH!!!” I quickly rushed to the door button, pushing it, shutting the door. I checked the Left Corner camera and a few minutes later, Pinkie was back at the Party Room. I opened the door to preserve power. An hour later, Fluttershy appeared at my door. I quickly shut the door and waited till she left.
At this point, I had everything under control. Knowing that only two animatronics were active and that they could be stopped without even using the cameras, Pinkie and Fluttershy repeated the same pattern until it was 6 AM.
I was relieved that it was all finally over. But I got my hopes up way too high when I realized I had to work for five nights.
I let out a sigh. “Let’s hope I can pull this off four more times.”
It was the second night. I entered my office and got another message.
“Uhh, Hello? Hello? Uh, well, if you're hearing this and you made it to day two, uh, congrats! I-I won't talk quite as long this time since the animatronics become more active as the week progresses. Uhh, it might be a good idea to peek at those cameras while I talk just to make sure everyone's in their proper place. You know…”
I checked the cameras to see that Pinkie Pie was already in the Party Room.
“Holy crap! He wasn’t kidding.”
“Uh... Interestingly enough, Twilight doesn't come out very often. I heard she becomes a lot more active in the dark though, so, hey, I guess that's one more reason not to run out of power, right?”
“Great. Just perfect,” I said sarcastically.
“Also, check on the curtain in Rainbow Cove on Camera 4 from time to time. The character in there seems unique in that she becomes more active if the cameras remain off for long periods of time.”
“What the?” I checked Camera 4 and saw the Rainbow Cove.
“How on Earth did I miss that?” Not only did I somehow miss that, but that’s the first thing I see before I enter my office.”
So they didn’t get rid of Rainbow Dash. Never thought I would say this but I kinda wished they did since I don’t want to handle more animatronics.
“Anyway, I'm sure you have everything under control! Uh, talk to you soon.”
Now I have another animatronic to look after. I suddenly realized I wasn’t paying attention to the cameras since I was listening to the phone guy.
I checked the cameras to see Pinkie and Fluttershy were in each hallway.
“Oh my God!!”
I decided to check the Rainbow Cove to see the curtains had opened, revealing Rainbow Dash.
It was 3 AM. Out of nowhere, both Pinkie and Fluttershy were at each door. I immediately closed both doors. I checked on Pirate Cove to see Rainbow Dash had exited the cove, as if she was ready to come get me. I checked the cameras to see Pinkie in the Party Room and Fluttershy at the Bathroom. I was free to open both doors.
4 AM and Pinkie hadn’t moved for some reason while Fluttershy was in the East Hallway. I checked on Rainbow Cove to see that Rainbow Dash was no longer on the camera. I quickly looked for her and found her running in the West Hallway. Scared out of my mind I quickly shut the left door. There were three knocks on the door. Checking the cameras, Rainbow was back at Rainbow Cove, allowing me to open the door.
Just like last night, I had figured out a pattern. Check the doors for Pinkie and Fluttershy and the cameras for Rainbow Dash. I made it to 6 AM alive. Three more nights to go.
As much as I wanna quit this job, I still need the money. That doesn’t change the fact that I have a risk of dying but I made it through two nights so surely I can get through three more, hopefully. I entered my office and received another message.
“Hello, hello? Hey, you're doing great! Most people don’t last this long. I mean, you know, they usually move on to other things by now. I'm not implying that they died. Th-th-that’s not what I meant.”
“That doesn’t make me feel better,” I said to the phone.
“Uh, anyway I better not take up too much of your time. Things start getting real tonight. Oh, and if you look up, you’ll see a vent.”
I looked up to see a vent. I actually did notice it but didn’t think much of it for some reason. I knew things were gonna be real since the phone guy mentioned it.
“So on this night, Applejack in the Supply Closet with Pinkie and Fluttershy and Spike in Supply Closet 2 on Camera 12 will be active tonight. They’ll go through the vent but they can be easily stopped. Once you hear noises from the vent, that means one of them is there so just close the vent door on them and wait till they’re gone. Um... Ok, I'll leave you to it. See you on the flip side!”
“Great, two of them are active.” I checked the cameras to see Pinkie and Fluttershy were on the move. Checking the other cameras I saw the curtains revealing Rainbow Dash, and Applejack was ready to go.
2 AM and Pinkie arrived at the door. Didn’t scare me since her eyes glowed through the darkness. I closed the door and checked the cameras. Fluttershy was at the East Hallway, Rainbow Dash was ready to run, and Applejack was at Party Room 2, a camera I never paid attention to until now. Few minutes later Pinkie went back a camera so I opened the door.
3 AM and things were getting real. Fluttershy was at the door, Rainbow started running down the hallway and Applejack was in the vents. I closed all the doors and opened them when they weren’t near. Checking the cameras I found Pinkie still at the West Hallway and Spike at Party Room 2.
I’ve got the pattern under control. Out of the five animatronics, I don’t need to use the cameras on four of them. By just looking at the doors, listening to the vents, and checking on Rainbow Dash, I made it to 6 AM.
It’s my fourth night here. This nightmare is almost over. I entered my office and received a message like always.
“Hello, hello? Hey! Hey, wow, day 4. I knew you could do it. Hey uh, if you check the Prize Corner on Camera 8, you’ll see the Rarity animatronic.”
I remember seeing the Rarity on my first night. Wonder what she’s gonna do.
“So, if Rarity starts to cover up the camera, make sure to shut it down. Uh, you might only have a few seconds to react... Uh, not that you would be in any danger, of course. I'm not implying that.”
“Right.” I didn’t like the sound of that.
“Anyways, you should be able to handle her easily. Alright, that’s all you need to know. See ya.”
The message had ended. I checked the cameras to see complete madness. Pinkie and Fluttershy were in their respectful hallways, Rainbow was about to exit the cove, Applejack was at Party Room 2, Spike’s getting active, and Rarity was still inactive.
“Jesus! How fast do you guys move?! That message was like a minute or less!!” This was bad since I now have to check the cameras for two animatronics. Rainbow Dash is easy to deal with but with Rarity, one tiny mistake and I’m dead. Though, the phone guy did say she was easy to deal with so maybe I’ll be fine, maybe.
2 AM, Fluttershy appeared at my door and… you know how I dealt with that. Pinkie was still at the West Hallway, Rainbow had exited Rainbow Cove, Applejack was in the vents and… you know. Spike was at Party Room 2 and Rarity started to move. Don’t need to shut down the camera yet. I shut it down when she covers it.
It’s 3 AM. Fluttershy was at the East Hallway, Rainbow Dash came running down the hallway, Spike was in the vents, and Rarity started to cover the camera. I blocked each one of their maneuvers.
Things were starting to be a little bit of a challenge but I think I got the pattern down like always. I do everything the same way but for Rarity and Rainbow Dash, I just rapidly switch between both cameras and hope for the best. Thankfully, I survived the night and made it to 6 AM. One more night, and it’ll all be over.
This nightmare is almost over. All I have to do is survive the night, get my money, and quit and leave this wretched place. I entered my office for the last time and listened to the last message I’m gonna get from this place.
“Hello? Hey you made it to the final night! Uh the only new animatronic that’ll be active is Twilight on Camera 12 with Spike. Like Fluttershy, she’ll attack from the right door. However, unlike Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy, Twilight’s eyes don’t glow through the door. So if she appears at the Right Corner, that’s when you close the door. Anyways, that’s all you need to know.”
After the message ended, I checked the cameras to see that everyone was active. No surprise there. All the animatronics were on cameras as usual, but Twilight. Things got scary with her. Only her eyes appeared when she was on camera. That’s weird. If her eyes appear on camera, then why not the doors? It’s probably so that she can attack.
2 AM and Rainbow Dash and Spike attacked. Few seconds later Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rarity attacked. Though they attacked fast, I took care of them easily. Checking the cameras, Spike was on the move and Twilight was in the bathroom.
3 AM and all the animatronics were on the move. Applejack was in the vents and Fluttershy appeared at the door. Both were taken care of easily. I checked back on the cameras to see that Rainbow was ready to attack and Twilight was at the Right Corner. I closed the door quickly and waited till she left.
4 AM and everything was thrown at me. Rainbow and Fluttershy attacked from each door, Applejack attacked from the vents, and Rarity started to cover up the camera. Everything happened faster than my eyes blinking but I was able to counter every one of their movements.
I’ve got down to the final pattern. Same method for Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Applejack, and Spike. As for Rainbow Dash, Rarity, and Twilight Sparkle, I have to quickly switch cameras for them, specifically Cameras 4, 8, and 11. Things were getting tough and I barely avoided close calls, but after all of that was over, I made it to 6 AM and survived five nights with the Equestria Girls.
“Yes I did it!” I cheered. I was ecstatic to get my payment of $120.50. Was this job worth the money? Well… I really don’t know and frankly don’t care. All that matters is I got my money and I didn’t die. I quickly headed to my car.
I headed into my car and started the engine. I decided to check the side-view mirror and was horrified by what I saw. The animatronics were looking at me through the family entertainment center windows. I quickly stepped on the gas driving far away from that place.
*A few years later*
I was sitting in my living room, watching some TV. As I was about to get a drink, my phone started to ring. I put my phone to my ear, answering the call.
“Hey Cassandra,” said my friend Ashley.
“Hey Ashley? What’s up?”
“I’ve got some exciting news!”
“What is it?”
“Remember when we used to go to the Equestria Girls’ Cupcake Corner when we were kids?”
I didn’t really like the sounds of that from my past experience but I tried to reply in my most normal tone. “Uh, yeah. What about it?”
“Well I heard that there is a new version of the Cupcake Corner, Equestria Girls: Silly Location. They’re also now hiring for a security guard. I decided to sign applications for the both of us so we can both be security guards! Isn’t that great?!”
