Rainbow Dash was rather excited as she soared through the air with her marefriend Winter; she seemed to be relatively calm flying beside the pony she loves. However, Rainbow Dash thought about how after stopping Ahuizotl from causing the valley to be covered in sweltering heat for eight hundred years. They were given a letter from Daring Do, who has been tasked to help the great adventurer on another quest, and she could not help but feel so excited. It took all her mental energy to keep calm. This time, she was invited to go on an adventure with her idol and focus on flying. Winter wasn't there when the daredevil mare helped Daring Do with her last adventure and despite Rainbow was unsure if it was a good idea to bring her marefriend. However, she insisted on coming this time, seeing she's also been reading her Daring Do books and has gotten interested in the adventurer. They headed straight to the explorer’s house, and Rainbow was the first to knock on the door. There they were greeted by the explorer, who looked rather disgruntled as she eyed the two and grumbled, "I thought I told you to come alone."

Rainbow rolled her eyes as she was planning on coming along. However, Winter kept nagging at the daredevil to let her come along as she explained, "well, she goes wherever I go, besides having a goddess of winter might be helpful."

Winter's cheeks flushed a shade of pink as she squeaked out. "I hope so!"

Daring Do blinked and looked somewhat confused and curious upon hearing this as she asked, "wait are you serious? This mare is the goddess of Winter?"

The pegasus in question scratched the back of her mane as she responded with a sheepish smile. "Well, sort of… it'll be a rather long story if I tried to explain my entire past."

The golden-brown coated mare walked around the strange mare that claimed to be a goddess. "Well, I wouldn't mind having you sit down with me, and we can talk about your past together. Nevertheless, for now, let me explain why I brought you two here."

She led the two to her living room which was somewhat tidier than the last time Rainbow was here; they all sat around with teacups in their hooves as Daring Do sat down as she sipped her tea and continued. "Ok, well, first let me explain what we're looking for. Deep in the jungles, there is a mythical waterfall that is said to hold an ancient civilization and is ruled by a goddess of some sort. I was hoping to discover it and give my findings to Celestia and Luna. However, I'm not sure how primal they may be as their civilization has been lost for at least a thousand years."

"So, you got a key or something to get inside this mythical waterfall?" Rainbow asked with a suspicious look on her face wondering if this whole expedition would be a waste of time.

Daring Do took a sip from her teacup, and then she took out a statue of a phoenix and an old-looking map and explained. "I found these in an old collector's shop. I got a good deal for them. I realized that through my studies, these objects are connected to an old legend of a city that was built a thousand years ago; it was quite advanced for its time from the legends. However, they built their city next to a volcano, and it did erupt. Everypony would've been killed, but their goddess the legends used her magic to envelop the city in a protective shield and disappeared from existence."

The daredevil mare was somewhat stunned by this tale; she heard of it before as a filly a long time ago. Back when she attended school in Cloudsdale, she vaguely remembered one lesson her teacher told them. "The lost city of Phoenixoplois! That was just a legend, right. It doesn't exist!"

Daring Do gave her new friend a smirk as she explained. "From all my books you've read, haven't you learned by now that some legends are true?"

The daredevil mare scratched her mane with a hoof, feeling rather sheepish for not thinking her question through, and asked, "yeah, sorry about that."

Winter tapped a hoof to her chin as she muttered to herself. "I know there are other goddesses out there…but I did not know another one lived here…"

Daring Do sipped her tea as she responded, "The reason I'm having you two come with me is mostly for protection. I can mostly handle myself. But if the locals are hostile, I would rather have some ponies I can trust to have my back."

The blue-coated pegasus rose up; she was determined to protect Daring Do no matter what. The daredevil gave the mare a salute. "Don't worry! you count on us to protect you!"

Winter seemed to be a little jealous as she shrugged, "sure, no problem."

"Alright then, let's get going, no time like the present!" The adventurer proclaimed as she pointed a hoof towards the door.

Winter groaned as she stretched her back. "Seriously!? We just flew a dozen miles to get here."

Rainbow threw a hoof out at her marefriend. "hey, come on!? You wanted to be a part of this adventure, right?"

"Aright, but you're going to owe me when we get back to Ponyville," Winter grumbled, and the three soared into the sky and headed south to the jungles.

The three pegasi flew through the skies towards the thick jungle canopy until they came upon a giant waterfall; it was quite a spectacle, with the waterfall being as massive as pouring thousands of gallons of water poured down over the cliff's edge. Like Rainbow Falls back in Ponyville, Instead of a rainbow reflected in the water, there was a fiery red streak across the surface like a scar crossing through the crystal blue waters.

Rainbow Dash was rather excited as she started to flap her wings and bounce up and down; she couldn't help but squeal. "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! This is going to be so awesome!"

Winter herself stepped forward to the waterfall and looked at it with awe. "I can feel the power behind this waterfall…"

The adventurer removed the statue of a phoenix and held it up with a confused look, and responded, "but what do we do with this? Do we offer it?"

Rainbow looked at the waterfall and pondered for a few seconds thinking over other Daring Do books. Then the pegasus standing there had an idea popped into her head. "Why don't we fly through the waterfall with the statue? I'm sure it's like a pass or something."

The explorer got excited as she exclaimed, "That actually sounds like a great idea! It's not the first ancient temple or city I found behind a waterfall!"

She took the other pegasi by the hooves, and they all nodded in unison; they then flew through the waterfall. On the other side, they came through a fountain and popped into a Townsquare; they didn't find an ancient tribe; instead, through the waterfall, was a town similar to that of Ponyville? It looked almost disturbingly too identical and the Ponies walking around doing their own business. The three pegasi saw that the city was quite vacant and looked way too modern. They all stood, all somewhat confused with Daring Do scratching her head as she mumbled. "Huh? So, they aren't as tribal as I thought they were going to be?"

Rainbow Dash was somewhat disappointed and rolled her eyes as she replied sarcastically, "wow!? A whole town of ponies that are completely normal! I should've just stayed at home."

Winter waved a hoof at the crowds walking by as some waved back at them as she commented, "I think this is all rather sweet. It seems like everypony is nice here."

The blue-coated pegasus just scoffed as she looked upwards; the sun seemed normal, and a weather factory in the sky of their own. Rainbow Dash flew upwards into the sky to get a bird's eye view. She looked around and saw that the town was in a bubbly substance, with the city stretching to the bubble's outer perimeter. She then spotted what had to be a massive parade leading from a palace in the center of town. Crowds of ponies all gathered down a giant street from the castle with floats, giant balloons, tents, and booths. It was a lot to take in, but Rainbow Dash needed to report back to her friends, so she flew back down towards the fountain and exclaimed, "Hey! I see a crowd of ponies in the middle of town! Looks like they're having a parade!"

The golden-brown coated pegasus rolled her eyes as she commented, "ok, look, I think we should leave and come back later. I didn't come here just so we can feast on junk food and watch giant floats go on by."

Winter meekly walked forward with her cheeks flushed pink as she whispered, "I…I mean we're already here? Why don't we have some fun and see why these ponies are celebrating?"

Rainbow wasn't sure of that idea at first. Still, she also wanted to join in on the fun, seeing that this was getting rather exciting as she flew over next to her marefriend and replied, "yeah, you have a point; I mean, what's the worst that could happen?"

Rainbow Dash saw that Daring Do seemed a bit peeved at the two's decision but shrugged and relented. "Fine, we'll stay for a little bit." The other two pegasi cheered, and the three flew towards the parade.

The three pegasi found a spot among the crowds; they stood by as they watched the floats come on by down the road. There were tons of ponies there, all cheering and seeming to be having a good time with confetti slowly raining down on them. The three stood by and watched as the floats came down, with some being volcanoes, others of flames spewing out of a phoenix's mouth, others were massive columns of fire exploding from the unicorns' horns. The ponies on the floats were throwing candy and other treats at the crowds. Rainbow picked up the candy seeing labels, like, Hot bomb gum, cinnamon flakes, scorching taffy. The daredevil decided to try the scorching taffy unwrapping it, then plopped it in her mouth. Rainbow started to chew on the taffy, then her face began to glow a bright red. It tasted like an explosion of cinnamon in her mouth! She then immediately spat it out, coughing and wheezing, "Oh my gosh, that's hot!"

"I think that was rather obvious." Daring Do snickered as she pocketed all kinds of candy while Winter herself seemed to be sweltering, breathing heavily. Rainbow Dash was somewhat concerned for the health of her marefriend; she slowly came over and asked, "Hey, you ok? You're not looking too good?"

The goddess smiled at her marefriend. "No…I… I'm fine…I think I'll just head back to the fountain and cool off; you and Daring can stay and watch the parade."

But before she could go, all the pegasi saw the biggest float of them all; it was a massive effigy of what had to be their goddess. She looked rather remarkable with fiery wings and a waving mane of orange and gold, bright orange eyes. Then following the float, there was a casket held up by six stalky stallions, all looking rather stoic as they came out at the end. The cheering and noise died down as the casket came by everypony bowed before it passed except for the three pegasi shouted in unison. "Did somepony die!?"

A crowd of angry ponies "shhh!" and some pointed to the ground. The three dd as the rest of the public and bowed before the coffin. As it came to the end of the line, the parade stopped, and the casket was placed in the middle of the effigy. Then an orange coated mare with a fiery yellow and red mane flowing behind her. She was sporting golden armor; the mare came before the crowd on a podium as she addressed the assembly. "Hello, my dear subjects of Phoenixoplois! Today is a special day! Sadly our goddess has died for the hundredth time in the past ten thousand years; however, she is not gone and will be reborn again through a vessel. Before she passed, I Comet was chosen to be that vessel. Now, let's perform the duty of reincarnating the body to ash so her spirit may be free."

The guards that carried the coffin now had torches as they set the effigy ablaze. It was engulfed in flames in a matter of seconds, and as the fires soared through the sky, every pony rose and shouted, "Yes, reborn from the ashes death is not eternal!"

Winter was getting more woozy by the second all this heat was clearly making her dizzy while Rainbow held onto her. Daring Do, however, was now officially freaked out. "Ok…um…well, I don't know about you two, but I think we should get going."

"Yeah, we should go; I think we've seen enough," Rainbow growled; this whole thing was starting to put her on edge…the ponies here were basically having a party for the death of their leader? How does that even make any sense!

As the three made their way through the crowds, Rainbow suddenly felt odd as her entire body started to shiver as she thought magic went through her. Everypony around was now staring as a fiery glow was now enveloping over her, then it poured itself into Rainbow Dash's body; the crowds of ponies around the daredevil then all bowed once more and proclaimed. "The goddess has chosen a new mother; all hail the vessel!"

Rainbow started to shake all over, with sweat now pouring down her face. She was already feeling strange as if her belly felt something fiery was growing in her. The blue-coated pegasus was now beyond scared or concerned and cried out. "What the buck are all of you talking about!?"

The royal advisor slowly walked forth to Rainbow Dash. "Please don't be alarmed that the goddess has chosen you to carry her to term! You will give birth to our beloved goddess once more!"

Upon hearing this, the blue-coated mare couldn't believe what she heard; hand stammered, "wait…no! No! no! this can't be happening…I um, can one of you take her? It doesn't have to be me, right!?"

The other ponies around her all started to whisper amongst themselves. Some even agreed with her that some random pony shouldn't give birth to their leader. However, Comet threw a hoof in the air to keep the ponies quiet, then turned her attention to Rainbow Dash as she continued explaining, "sadly no, I was the one chosen before she passed, but our goddess chose you for some reason."

Rainbow Dash stepped back, and her heart was pounding in her chest. Why was this happening to her!? This can't be happening! She had to cry out loud. "This can't be happening! This is all just some crazy dream!"

Daring Do was now starting to feel guilty as she stammered. "Rainbow Dash… I'm so sorry! I didn't know any of this would happen."

Comet held up a hoof as she explained, "It's alright, I can tell you three are outsiders; why don't you come with me to the castle? You can rest, and I'll explain everything, and we can explore options." The three were then led to the castle to be told about the situation.

Winter was given an ice bath at the castle in one of the palace chambers while Daring Do and Rainbow were now sitting at a large dining table. The room itself was painted gold and red with tapestries depicting the goddess or a phoenix. The food, as Rainbow guessed, was spicy, with hot bowls of chili, sandwiches filled with spicy peppers. Rainbow Dash tried some of the food only to cough it right back up. Daring Do, however, was having the time of her life gorging away. The blue-coated mare slowly took her goblet filled with a strange red liquid; the daredevil mare gave it a cautious sip and gave a sigh of relief, "thank Celestia, it's just a fruit punch."

The advisor was patient, letting them relax a little before she smiled and asked, "so…um…you two ready for me to explain what's going on here? I rather not spoil your meal."

Rainbow just pushed the food aside with a disgusted look. "Sorry, but I'm not a fan of spicy foods; yeah, go ahead, explain why I'm the one that has to give birth to some fiery goddess."

The advisor gave a deep sigh as she started the story. "Let me explain, over ten thousand years ago, our tribe was known as the Tribe of Fire. We lived near an ancient mountain due to its lush land around it; our tribe was foolish, however. We didn't know the land was bountiful because of the rich soil and that we lived next to a dormant volcano. There we found a baby pegasus; she was different from the others; she developed quicker than the other foals and even started seeking alliances with other tribes. The history isn't well documented, so we don't know how big our tribal lands expanded to. But this strange pegasus was soon declared our leader, and some say she helped keep our land from never having to endure the harsh Winter. However, then…it happened…the volcano erupted and destroyed everything in its path. Our leader, who we named Phoenix, decided to have our unicorns create a sphere of magic to shield our city. We have been living in these pocket dimensions since. To sustain this dimension, our goddess dies and is resurrected through natural birth every hundred years. So before she dies, the goddess will choose a mare to host her spirit and have her be reborn through natural birth."

Rainbow tried to pay attention to the lesson, but she's never been good at paying attention to long lectures as she got sidetracked by looking at the dozens of Phoenixes flying around the dining room. The daredevil mare shook her head as the advisor stopped talking as she replied, "yeah…um…I got most of it, so…um one question if this goddess already chose you, why did she pick me!?"

Comet took a sip of her own drink as she continued her lecture. "Not sure this never happened before; I was chosen due to my status as a warrior. It may look peaceful now, but every now and again, weird creatures try to enter our lands. I was proven to slay the most, and that was why I was chosen."

Daring Do gave a frown and replied, "I'm a pretty capable fighter myself; I mean, Rainbow Dash is a stunt flyer, not a warrior? So if anything, I should've been chosen."

The blue-coated mare got a little peeved at Daring Do's comment and snapped, "ok, hold up! I fought off Nightmare Moon, Discord, did jousting at the Crystal Empire, and helped save the princesses from those weird vines! I think I'm more than capable of handling myself."

The advisor snickered, but she replied, "sorry, I should've explained better, it's not just about being a great warrior…she also looks for what she always quotes a pony with a fiery unyielding spirit. She wants a mother who never gives up and has a strong spirit. In a sense, she chose you, Rainbow Dash, because out of everypony here, she sensed you had the most."

The daredevil was a bit stunned at hearing this. It actually made her feel better about herself, but it was also a lot to take in all at once. "Wow…when you put it that way… that's actually really cool." The mare then stared down at her belly, seeing that maybe she should tell this goddess herself, and pointed a hoof at it. "But still, I can't have a foal right now! Hey, goddess, listen up! I'm trying to get into the Wonderbolts! And on top of that, the Equestria games are coming! So I can't have you in me right now! I appreciate the compliment, but please go back to your advisor!"

Daring Do and the other mare snickered, "I'm sorry, but right now, she's just a clump of cells dividing in your body."

The daredevil mare felt it was a rather stupid idea and grumbled, "well, it was worth a shot…ok, even if I give birth, I don't have to raise her, right?"

Comet, as she explained, "right, after the birth I can be her mother from there…. you can stay here if you wish? We would give you all the comforts we can provide…and even fewer spicy foods."

Rainbow groaned as she rubbed her belly and thought it over as much as she would love to be pampered and treated like some goddess. The daredevil mare had many responsibilities at home, and she definitely didn't want to miss the Equestria games. The blue-coated mare rose up as she shook her head. "No, it's fine. I'm just going to go home."

Daring Do also got up from her seat. "Thank you, Comet, for explaining everything…If it's alright, one of the reasons I came here was to see if you wished to have relations with those on the outside?"

Comet rose up as she gave the to mares a smile and replied, "You can relay to your rulers about our city; we would gladly talk about trade; we grow tons of spicy foods here as you all have tasted."

"Sure thing," The great adventurer responded curtly as the mares then slowly walked off as they headed to get Winter and start to go home.

The three pegasi were all now back at Daring Do's house; the three didn't speak much after leaving the strange town. As the adventurer opened the door to her home, she looked behind her, looking somewhat concerned, "look, if you two need anything, let me know."

Winter ruffled Rainbow's mane. "We'll be fine; I'll take care of her."

Rainbow grumbled something under her breath; she was still rather peeved about the whole situation. The two then flew off together; when they were in the air Rainbow Dash finally snapped, "all alright! Guess I have to deal with a pregnancy during the Equestria games!" She looked down at her belly, and she could feel the heat from within; finally, she just couldn't hold back her anger anymore and shouted, "seriously, you had to pick me out of all ponies!"

Winter's cheeks flushed red and suggested, "Why don't we confirm it? I mean, we don't even know if you're pregnant?"

Rainbow Dash just shrugged; Winter had a point but wasn't going to get her hopes up and sighed under her breath. "Sure, I guess it's worth a shot," they went to some small pharmacy outside of Ponyville. The daredevil mare gulped, realizing she didn't want to be seen buying a pregnancy test. She was still only in the Wonderbolt reserves. Still, she really didn't want ponies to start gossiping and spreading rumors about her. The mare gave Winter some bits and asked, "can…you um…buy it for me? If somepony sees me…"

"Sure, no problem," Winter whispered as she went inside the store. Rainbow Dash waited, stomping about with sweat dripping down her face. She looked around the dirt road; luckily, there are no ponies around. When her marefriend returned, Rainbow gave a sigh of relief without even saying anything. The blue-coated mare took the box and slowly went behind some bushes; after a few seconds, the usually stoic mare slowly walked over with the bit of plastic in her hooves. She was quivering all over as she gave the strip to Winter and squeaked, "I think it's positive. Can you double-check for me?"

Winter looked it over and saw the two lines and sighed, 'I'm so sorry…I really am…"

Rainbow groaned as she plopped down in the grass as the weight of what happened to her was starting to set it. She was pregnant, and there was nothing she could know. Heck, she didn't even know what to expect or how she was going to handle this. Rainbow just sat there and grumbled to herself. "Great…so it's official then?"

Winter came close to Rainbow, took her wings, wrapped them around her, and hugged her friend close to her chest. Rainbow Dash could feel the soft cold touch of Winter's wings and hooves around her body as she whispered, "Hey, we'll get through this together."

Rainbow Dash looked into her mare friend's eyes, and they deadlocked as they came close together as she whispered, "how could I find a mare as special as you?"

Winter brushed her marefriend's mane as she whispered, "you have it all wrong; I can't believe I found a mare a special as you."

The two mares then embraced each other, and they held the kiss for as long as they possibly can. After they kissed, the two flew back through the air as fast as they possibly could straight to Rainbow Dash's house. The two burst through the front door as they started to nuzzle and kiss each other more. The daredevil herself was consumed by just wanting to be with her marefirend and to forget all about her crazy day as she slammed her tongue down Winter's throat. Rainbow Dash threw the goddess of Winter onto her bed and got on top of her peering down on the sexy body of her lover. She was going to have sex tonight and forget about all of this! Maybe just maybe this was just all a crazy dream, and everything will be expected tomorrow morning.

chapter two: Rainbow Dash vs Harshwhinney

Rainbow Dash was sitting in Nurse Redheart's office she was waiting for the nurse to come back, staring at the ceiling tiles. The daredevil mare was somewhat nervous as she waited for her test results. She waited for the nurse to come by with her clipboard and looked over at Rainbow Dash with a kind smile, "hello, ready for your test results?"

"Yeah," The daredevil mare sighed reluctantly; she really wasn't, but Winter eventually convinced her to go to the hospital for a checkup.

The nurse came over and with a smile, "so…um…I guess there's good news: your growing foal seems to be really healthy, and you're also doing very well yourself."

"Oh great, thanks for letting me know," Rainbow Dash grumbled under her breath. She already figured that much by herself.

Nurse Redheart slowly walked over and handed her a file as she continued. "Look, there are options if you don't want the baby…"

"Ugh!? No, it's fine; I already promised I'll give birth to it... it's complicated; this goddess thing chose me for some reason? Guess she liked my attitude?" The daredevil mare grumbled under her breath, feeling weird trying to explain her situation to somepony else.

Redheart shook her head, seeming to be somewhat confused at what Rainbow was trying to say, and replied, "ok, well, we have you scheduled for next week for another scan, for right now, I'm just going to monitor your foal's growth…also…I know you're trying to keep this secret but …you know you won't be able to compete in the upcoming Equestria games right?"

The daredevil mare cursed under her breath as she sighed and grumbled, "Yeah, I know!? But I can still be a judge for the foals who'll bear the flag for Ponyville?"

"That's all up to for Harshwhinney; as for myself I've already approved that you can," Redheart replied. Rainbow started to get excited before the nurse gave her a glare and added, "as long as you don't overexert yourself."

"Alright," Rainbow grumbled again as she flew back down with her cheeks flushed pink.

Before she left, Redheart gave the mare a bag of supplies, "I put some vitamins in there, take each one once a day every morning, along with some helpful reading material, and you know the usual, don't drink coffee, don't drink alcohol and please don't do any crazy stunts, ok?"

"Ok, whatever," Rainbow mumbled under her breath before she stomped off, wondering how things could possibly get worse.

The daredevil mare woke up early the following day. She was supposed to be feeling somewhat ready for coaching the school foals of Ponyville and judging to see who will be bringing in the flag for Ponyville. However, Rainbow felt sick; she felt her body quivering, feeling this overwhelming urge to puke. The mare groaned, placing her hooves around her stomach. She knew her body was already acting harshly from the abnormal pregnancy. Rainbow Dash then ran to the bathroom and puked her guts into the toilet. Afterward rinsing her mouth with mouthwash and brushing her teeth rather thoroughly. Rainbow Dash then went to get some breakfast. The mare went downstairs, took out a bowl, and poured herself some Wonderbolt Flakes; she then poured some milk in and took a bite. She chewed on the cereal, and she felt that something was off. She reached over to the counter and poured some hot sauce into the bowl. She then shoved another spoonful of cereal in her mouth, and her eyes went wide. It was actually delicious now as Rainbow sat down to enjoy her meal and as she chomped down on her cereal and continued to do so for some time. After her breakfast, Rainbow Dash was still rather hungry; she then took out a tub of ice cream and tossed some jalapenos inside. After taking a few bites, she started to gorge on the ice cream shoving big scoops of it into her mouth.

She didn't even notice that Winter just watched her the entire time, looking somewhat confused, and the daredevil mare looked up with an odd look before she swallowed and asked, "what?"

"Oh nothing, just enjoying the show; I love to see your strange new cravings." Winter snickered as she went over to the fridge and pulled out a chilled latte.

Rainbow pouted, so she longed for coffee, but she knew she couldn't have caffeine as she went to the stove and boiled a teapot of water to at least make herself some herbal tea. She did tell Twilight about her issue in hopes that maybe she could help. But of course, that was pointless, but she did introduce her to Zecora, who gave her some herbal teas she says will help. Rainbow grumbled angrily to herself, hating the fact how ponies treating her like she's helpless. Rainbow took some vitamins and popped them as she drank her tea. She again smacked her lips and felt as if something was missing. She then plopped ice cubes, took a sip, put some hot sauce inside, and then finished drinking it. Rainbow Dash then placed the cup down as she spread her wings and then flew out the door. The mare groaned; still feeling sick from this morning; she hoped she didn't puke in front of a classroom full of foals.

She then flew across the sky, heading to the Ponyville; she was hoping she wasn't late; she heard of Mrs. Harshwhinny, the mare running the Equestria Games was rather ruthless and strict. She burst through the front doors of the school and saw Harshwhinney in front of her.

"Well, it's about time, Mrs.Dash. I was wondering when you would arrive?" Harshwhinney scoffed loudly.

Rainbow Dash waved a hoof as she came inside the school; she felt pretty nervous for some reason and a bit peeved at Mrs. Harshwhinney was already treating her like a school foal. But she remained silent as Harshwhinney went on a spiel about how honored they should feel flying the flag for the Equestria Games. Rainbow just sat there rolling her eyes and trying to do her best to keep her emotions in check. But she couldn't help but reminisce about her own experience flying the flag for Cloudsdale when she was a filly and exclaimed, "Yeah, I remember when I was a filly flying the flag for Cloudsdale, and how proud I felt!"

Harshwhinney turns her attention to Rainbow Dash and scolds her, "Mrs. Dash, keep your emotions in check!"

The pegasus started to get rather angry with this angry old mare, with Rainbow Dash's face turned red, and steam poured from her ears as she slammed a hoof on the ground. "I think you need to calm down!"

"Excuse me?" Harshwhinney replied, looking somewhat surprised at being talked back to.

Rainbow glared at the mare; she had enough of this old mare and stomped over, "you don't get to tell me what to do! Or how I feel! I can be as emotional as I want to be. I'm bucking pregnant!"

Everypony gasped, and Rainbow Dash just realized what she said out loud. Cheerilee came over and glared and snapped, "Mrs. Dash, don't use that language in front of the foals!"

Rainbow, however, was feeling enraged she was tired of this Mrs. Harshwhinney acting like she gets to decide how she judges!? Well, she was going to give her a piece of her mind. "I don't care! I just want to judge these foals, and this blep wants to try to tell me what to blep do! Also, yeah, I'm pregnant! I might as well and just tell you all it's eventually going to show anyways!"

Mrs. Harshwhinney's cheeks flushed pink; she was clearly unnerved and whispered, "um…Mrs. Dash, please calm down…"

Rainbow, however, had all this pent-up rage, and she couldn't stop as she shouted, "Calm down!? No, I'm not gonna calm down! I went on an adventure with Daring Do, thinking we'll be going through an ancient temple or pyramid full of traps and puzzles, but guess what? Instead, I got pregnant with a goddess of fire or something. Now I'm not sure if I'll be able to compete in the Equestria Games; heck, I don't even know if I'll be able to do this job!"

"Alright, I think Rainbow Dash needs a timeout," Cheerilee exclaimed as she bit Rainbow Dash by the ear and led her out of the school like a foal as she took her outside.

Rainbow kicked about; this was so weird she could've easily broken out of Cheerilee's grasp, but she also felt powerless at the same time as she shouted, "let go!"

Cheerilee let Rainbow go, but she still was rather furious as she asked, "Listen, can you do this?"

Rainbow Dash rubbed her ear now, feeling somewhat embarrassed and regretful for the things she said, and grumbled, "yeah, I can sorry I've just been feeling so weird…I can't believe I said all that…"

Cheerilee placed a hoof on her shoulder, "It's alright, I…I can't believe that happened to you on your trip, and I honestly can't understand what you're going through. I'll talk to Hrashwhinney and try to smooth things over, given your situation."

Rainbow Dash gave the mare a sigh of relief and whispered, "thank you."

The teacher however wasn't done as she held up a hoof and replied, "but, I have to ask do you want to continue being a judge? And can you keep yourself in check? If you have another outburst like that I doubt Harshwhinney will let you judge."

Rainbow lowered her gaze as she considered maybe just saying no and going home…but she really wanted to be a judge, pregnant or not! She looked up and stared right into Cheerilee's eyes and slammed a hoof down, and proclaimed, "yeah, it's fine, I can do this!"

Cheerilee nodded with a smile, "alright, I'll go inside and talk to Mrs.Harshwhinney; for now, I would suggest you take some time to calm down…also, please watch your language around the foals."

Rainbow just grumbled as she stomped off, still having a few choice words for Mrs.Harshwhinney but headed off to the fields near the school where they'll be doing the performances. Cheerilee was right. It's probably best she just stays here and gets some fresh air she needed to calm herself and prepare for helping the foals with their performances not her pregnancy.

Chapter three: Rainbow Hormones

View Online

A few hours after Rainbow Dash had her fight with Mrs.Harshwhinny, she was out in the fields near the school as she watched the foals do their routines. She, however, was instead blown away seeing the cutie mark crusaders finishing their routine. She was somewhat taken aback by the Cutie Mark Crusaders and their performance seeing how well they were working with each other. As the cutie mark crusaders finished, the daredevil mare rose up and started to clap her hooves and exclaimed, "that was awesome! I can't believe what I just saw!"

Scootaloo trotted over and looked up at Rainbow Dash and asked, "so what about me? Did I pull through?"

She flew over to Scootaloo and wrapped her hooves around the little filly and pulled her into a hug, and wrapped her wings around her. "Oh, you were just so good! I'm so proud of you!"

They held each other together until the little orange-coated filly squirmed about. "Alright, let me go!"

The pegasus finally got out of her grip and got out of her grasp as she brushed herself off, and then Rainbow gasped out loud. "I didn't hurt you or anything!"

"Of course not, but you're getting too…um emotional…." Scootaloo squeaked out.

Rainbow paused if the cutie mark crusaders were the ones who were telling her she was over-emotional and she's probably going overboard. The daredevil mare scratched the back of her mare and stammered. "Right…sorry…"

"Yeah, it's fine…but…um, are you really pregnant?" The little orange filly asked in a curious tone.

Rainbow cheeks flushed pink she didn't even remember telling them. "Well, it's complicated. I didn't get pregnant the normal way; it's more of some magical mumbo jumbo."

"How do you get pregnant the normal way?" All the fillies asked in unison. Rainbow was now just standing there, getting flustered as she definitely put herself in an awkward situation.

The mare stepped back, not sure what she should say, and stammered, "um…well…um ask Cheerilee, ok? She's your teacher…um, keep just up the good work! I'll see you tomorrow!" She then flew off to observe other foals hoping that the three fillies just dropped the subject.

Later that evening, Rainbow Dash was coming back home; she was exhausted, tired, and somewhat annoyed as she slowly went through the front door.

Winter was in a loveseat nearby; she looked up at her with a smile, "Hey, how's it going?"

"Ugh, horrible, I just want to eat and go to bed," Rainbow grumbled under her breath, and she went straight to the freezer. She then took out a tub of ice cream and then started to shove giant scoops into her mouth. The mare paused before opening the fridge, throwing some jalapenos in the tub, and dumping an entire bottle of hot sauce inside.

Winter just stood there shaking her head, "seriously, more ice cream?"

"Well, I can't compete in the Equestria Games, and I have a foal that I didn't plan, and I just exposed myself in front of every pony." The daredevil mare complained as she chomped down on a spoonful of ice cream. Rainbow Dash then threw the tub back in the freezer before she trotted back herself to bed and plopped on top of it. That was when Winter came over and replied, "Wait? You told more ponies you're pregnant?"

Rainbow didn't want to talk about it. Still, she knew her marefriend wouldn't let it go as she looked over and grumbled, "well…I did kind of have a mental breakdown in front of Cheerilee's class, but that bitch Mrs.Harshwhinney was getting on my nerves."

Winter held up a hoof and continued, "Hey, no judgment on my part."

She then followed Rainbow Dash to bed, and the two mares laid down next to each other as Winter brushed Rainbow's mane and asked, "So, you spent all day judging at foals doing their performances?"

Rainbow Dash turned towards the ceiling and exclaimed, "yeah, overall, it was awesome! They were amazing! You should've seen the cutie mark crusaders!"

"Sounds like you're not bipartisan in this." Winter snickered.

It was just a joke, but Rainbow got a bit agitated by the comment and turned to her marefriend and sighed, "can we just snuggle and not talk about today? I honestly just want to go to sleep."

Winter nodded, and the two snuggled each other as they laid in bed together for the night.

The next afternoon after watching the cutie mark crusader's performance, Rainbow Dash was just completely confused about why it was so horrible. As the three fillies finished, she came over and asked, "what happened? Your performance was so much better yesterday?"

Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle just rolled their eyes at each other. As Scootaloo stomped a hoof, "it's fine! It shows that I can fly, and that's what's important!"

Rainbow had a feeling about what's happening with Scootaloo and ruffled her mane. "hey, it's ok, I think you three just need more practice, ok?

"Alright…" Scootaloo grumbled irritably; something was obviously bothering her, and Rainbow wanted to help her deal with any issues she's going through. Rainbow didn't even know why she was starting to feel this need to help Scootaloo at any cost." Um…after you finish your practice, do you want to come over to my place for dinner?"

"Sure, that sounds fine, "The little orange filly grumbled as she kicked the dirt with a hoof seeming to be still irritated about something. Rainbow nodded as she flew off, wondering why she was acting so strange? Hopefully, she can at the very least help Scootaloo with what's eating her.

Later that evening, Rainbow Dash led Scootaloo to her home through the air as Scootaloo started to ask some questions, "hey um, so how did you get pregnant?"

Rainbow sighed as she was hoping to avoid questions about her but replied, "I got pregnant on accident when I went to an ancient city of Phoenixopolis where they had their goddess reincarnated into me."

"Oh wow, that's crazy!?" Scootaloo exclaimed.

Rainbow Dash rolled her eyes. She still can't believe that all happened to her as well as she continued, "yeah, I know, and if I'm being honest, I don't really want to talk about it."

"Alright," the orange-coated filly whispered.

Rainbow slammed a hoof to her face. Scootaloo seemed to be going through a lot already; she shouldn't take her anger out on her. As they entered her house, they came upon Winter, wearing an apron, and she's obviously been busy cooking dinner. She flew over and, with a big smile on her face, "oh hello, Scootaloo! It's so nice to meet you!"

The orange-coated filly cheeks flushed pink as she replied, "yeah, it's nice to meet you too, Winter. I heard you're a goddess of Winter, is that true?"

"Yes, it is a little filly!" Winter chirped and ruffled Scootaloo's mane. "Your Scootaloo, right?"

"Y...yeah…" Scootaloo stammered with her cheeks flushing pink. Rainbow was happy to see Scootaloo warming up so they can get her to talk more during dinner.

Winter turned to Rainbow and asked, "so I made spaghetti with a spicy tomato sauce. Along with a side of ice cold pasta salad. I'm sure that you like it!?"

"Like it!? That sounds great! A lot of carbs for tomorrow!" Rainbow Dash cheered as she flew to the table looking like an excited school filly. Scootaloo also got excited as she skipped over and sat down in a seat across from her.

Winter then went about serving them Rainbow Dash got both while Winter stuck with her pasta salad; Scootaloo decided to mix both like Rainbow Dash. They ate their meal together as they talked about the performance tomorrow. Scootaloo tried to remain silent throughout the meal, not really wanting to talk about it. But Rainbow decided to try to get her to open up and eventually asked, "Hey, what's up? You seem to be down in the dumps?"

The orange-coated filly looked down at her meal and whimpered, "I… I'm just nervous about tomorrow because I can't fly."

"Hey, don't sweat it; you're going to be fine if you fly or don't, "Rainbow replied back. She knew that filly was rather self-conscious of her ability to fly. Still, she seemed to be more anxious than usual. She bent her head down then asked, "did Diamond Tiara say something?"

"Ye…yeah…" Scootaloo whimpered as Rainbow rolled her eyes, "don't listen to a word to that jerk? She's just a bully; you can do whatever you want as long as you put your mind to it."

"Stop it, alright!? We won't be able to win the competition with a pegasus who can't fly!" Scootaloo snapped back.

"Hey, don't take that tone with me, young lady," Rainbow replied back.

"You're not my mom!" the orange filly shouted back.

Rainbow paused as she started to sweat a little, realizing she was overstepping boundaries, "yo...your right, I'm just trying to say that even if you can't fly, you're going to do great tomorrow, so don't worry about it, ok?"

Scootaloo nodded as she finished her meal along with the older mares. Things got relatively quiet as they finished up; an orange-coated filly asked, "so um…I guess I should be going now? Don't want my aunts to worry about me."

"Yeah, I'll escort you home, ok?" Rainbow suggested as she got up and took the little filly on her back, and then soared out from her house and headed to Scootaloo's home. On the way there Rainbow couldn't help but feel motherly to the little helpless orange filly on her back clutching her tightly. The mare felt so comforted by the fact Scootaloo was on her back and she wanted to make this flight take as long as possible. It didn't take long as they came to the front door, and Rainbow gave the filly a pat on the head, "you need anything else?"

"Nope, I think I'm good, "Scootaloo whispered; she then rushed over and gave Rainbow Dash a hug, and the mare held the filly close. Then they broke the embrace as the orange-coated filly went into her house. The daredevil mare just stood there with a smile, and tears came down her cheek. She paused and gave herself a chance wiped her eyes and grumbled, "ugh, what's wrong with me?"

The daredevil mare then flew off she definitely was getting more emotional with these hormones rushing through her body and she could only hope she can somehow remain neutral tomorrow...but Rainbow knew deep down that was a lie.

Chapter Four: Rainbow Dash The Big Sister

Rainbow Dash groaned; as she slowly got up from bed, she turned towards the window and saw that it was still night out. The daredevil mare was nervous…in fact, she wanted to just go to Mrs.Harshwhinny and tell her she wanted to quit. The mare was somewhat unsure if she should judge the competition due to her being biased and having a solid relationship with Scootaloo. The two bonded before but never like this, and it was evident that it would make it hard for her to grade them. The daredevil mare slowly trotted to the kitchen, where she took her vitamins and made herself a cup of herbal tea. As Rainbow sipped her tea, she thought things over, wondering if there was any way she could do this without making Scootaloo feel bad. The daredevil mare groaned, slamming a hoof to her face, "shut it! It shouldn't matter even if Scootaloo was my sister! I have to grade her and her friends as if they were any other pony."

She drank the rest of her tea, feeling more resolved to see bring a judge though as the mare walked over to make waffles for herself and Winter. Her marefriend then got up much later and, with a smile, came over and nuzzled Rainbow. "Wow, breakfast, huh? You got up early."

"More like I couldn't sleep," Rainbow yawned as she stretched her hooves up and then severed herself and Winter as they ate her marefriend asked, "so you going to still be a judge for the competition?"

"Yeah… I've calmed down…." Rainbow grumbled as she took a bite of her waffle.

"Hmmm, I think it would be better if you didn't, but I'll let you be you," Winter grumbled irritably.

Rainbow narrowed her gaze with a glare at her marefriend and snapped back, "what do you mean by that!"

Winter glared back and responded, "Well, because you and Scootaloo are friends, and you obviously have a bias to her team to carry the flag for Ponyville."

Rainbow Dash was starting to get irritated and slammed a hoof down and shouted, "so what!? I can be subjective!"

"Oh yeah, like how you were last night, come on, you need to find a replacement." The light blue coated mare grumbled irritably.

"Seriously!? This isn't up for debate! Besides, it's not like they're going to find a replacement on the day of the competition." The daredevil snapped.

Winter rolled her eyes, and they just finished their meal in silence. Rainbow had enough of this as she got up, "oh great, there you go, giving me the silent treatment! Alright, I gotta get going." She then got up and flew off out of the house she needed to cool her head before heading to the Crystal Empire.

Rainbow Dash spent the rest of the morning just flying around Ponyville she was still rather angry from her fight with Winter and was muttering and cursing under her breath. She eventually found the three cutie mark crusaders at the schoolhouse. Rainbow scratched the back of her mane, wondering why they were there as she flew down to see the three fillies were talking to Cheerilee; the mare's face was bright pink, and she could see the teacher sweating profusely as she stammered, "loo...look, I think that we can talk about this later."

"What are you talking about?" Rainbow asked out loud.

Cheerilee turned to her with a glare at her and grumbled, "oh yes, what are we talking about? I think you forgot you told these foals to ask me about the birds and the bees?"

Rainbow scratched her mane, now feeling somewhat embarrassed, and apologized, "Oh um, sorry about that..."

The teacher gave a sigh, "it's fine; I've been planning a class about blep education, but I feel the foals are still too young."

"Awwww," The crusaders all groaned.

Cheerilee then continued, "we can talk about this in class when you're older; for now, you all need to get to the train before it leaves without you."

"Ok," the three foals replied in unison as they scurried off.

Rainbow Dash was going to do the same, but Cheerilee held up a hoof. "Are you sure you're doing ok? You're not going to have any more outbursts, right."

"Don't worry about me. I'm fine!" Rainbow cried out as she waved a hoof and then flew off after the three fillies and then led them to the train station. When they got to the station, the cutie mark crusaders started to argue amongst each other. The daredevil mare rolled her eyes and just made sure the rest of the foals made it on the train; she glared at Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon as they went on board; it took a lot of self-restraint to keep her calm to not just explode at her. Once she was sure every foal was accounted for, she went inside the train, where she plopped down on the benches and then laid her head back. The mare was already starting to feel more exhausted than she usually did and wanted to take a nap on their way to the Crystal Empire. But then she saw Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom enter the train and noticed Scootaloo wasn't with them and asked, "hey? Where's Scootaloo?"

"Oh, she decided to stay," The two grumbled irritably.

"What!?" Rainbow Dash cried out in surprise; her heart almost stopped upon hearing the news. She then got furious, glaring at the two fillies, and stomped a hoof, "how could you just leave her like that!"

"But...but...but." The two fillies stammered, being somewhat scared of her.

"No buts, we're going to go back, find Scootaloo, and you two will apologize to her, understand?" Rainbow scolded them as if they were her foals.
.
"Yes, mam." The other two fillies responded once again.

Rainbow took the two by the hoof as they flew off together through the air from the train as they headed to the train station.

"Aww, looks like the cutie mark crusaders aren't going to be at the competition after all," Diamond Tiara jeered.

"Hey! You watch your mouth, young lady!" Rainbow shouted, making the filly squeak as she jumped back from the window.

The daredevil really wanted to give Diamond a piece of her mind. But, she needed to focus on finding Scootaloo and getting her back on the train. She soared along through the air and eventually came to the train station. Rainbow and the two fillies looked about but saw that she wasn't there.

"Where can she be?" Rainbow Dash asked out loud.

"Maybe she's heading back home? I mean, school's canceled for the day, and it's not like there's anything else going on?" Apple Bloom suggested.

"And she came here by scooter; there's got to be tracks!" Sweetie Belle exclaimed.

Rainbow ruffled the manes of the two fillies and complimented them. "good thinking, you two, let's follow the tracks; maybe we'll catch her before she reaches her house."

The daredevil mare flew towards her house; she caught Scootaloo on her scooter heading home by herself. She flew right in front of her and held a hoof out, making the little, orange-coated filly squeaked as she braked in front of her. Scootaloo skidded the scooter bringing up a cloud of dust right before she hit Rainbow Dash. When the dust cleared, the angry little filly shouted, "Hey, what ya doing! You almost got hit!

Rainbow was feeling very peeved with her as she thought she got through to her the night before and snapped, "what I'm doing, what are you doing? You just gonna bail on your teammates like that?"

The orange filly glared at her and shouted, "stop acting like my mom! Ugh, what's gotten into you!"

"Yeah, stop holding our hooves!" Apple Bloom snapped, pulling her hoof from Rainbow's hoof.

The daredevil mare blinked she stepped back, seeing she was definitely acting more strangely than usual. It was clear they all needed a break and something to cool themselves off…literally. The daredevil mare then apologized, "Look... I'm sorry ok? You're not the only one dealing with issues…how about we all get some ice cream and talk things over? My treat?"

The fillies all shouted, "sure!"

The mare gave them a smile as she led the three foals down the street as they headed to Sugarcube Corner.

Once the three foals were settled at a table, Mrs. Cake came over to serve them, "good morning; what do we have today?"

"Vanilla ice cream milkshakes!" The cutie mark crusaders all exclaimed at once.

"Wonderful choices!" Mrs. Cake chirped cheerfully; she then turned her attention to Rainbow, who was pondering what she wanted. She was having her odd cravings as she cleared her throat and asked, "I will have a strawberry milkshake mixed with hot fudge, along with a drizzle of hot sauce and topped with jalapenos."

Mrs. Cake blinked as Rainbow snapped, "just let Pinkie make it, ok?"

"Yeah...sure…" Mrs.Cake whispered as she wrote down the odd order; she then blushed and added, "oh um, congrats on the baby. If you need anything, I got plenty of foal supplies to spare."

The cutie mark crusaders all snickered, but Rainbow wasn't really in the mood for jokes about her pregnancy and grumbled, "Yeah, save it, ok!? I'm not going to raise the baby," Mrs. Cake nodded and gave the mare some space, "right, sorry to intrude, I'll go get your orders."

The big blue mare then went off to fetch their shakes. Rainbow settled in her seat as the three fillies all were sitting around, anxious for details about her pregnancy.

"Ok, you want to know how I got pregnant too right?" Rainbow grumbled.

Sweetie Belle scoffed, "we don't want to know how you got pregnant; yeah, Scootaloo told us all about that? Are you getting fatter? Rarity said she's making you some outfits when you get bigger."

"Well, yeah, eventually, but I don't need to wear any special outfits," Rainbow snapped.

Apple Bloom chirped, "I've seen cows get pregnant before, and their udders are huge! Ya gonna grow udders!?"

"No! I'm not going to grow udders!" Rainbow scowled.

Scootaloo snickered behind a hoof. "Oh, that would be hilarious! Rainbow would have big rainbow-colored udders!"

The fillies all burst into laughter, making Rainbow snicker along with them; she could picture herself with rainbow-colored udders.

"Alright, sweethearts, here's your milkshakes!" Mrs. Cake exclaimed. She then placed the vanilla milkshakes down for the foals and then gave Rainbow Dash the crazy (rather disgusting) looking milkshake to her. The fillies all stared at Rainbow Dash who took her milkshake and started to slurp it up. She moaned as the flavor of the ice cold ice cream hit her tongue along with the flavor of the hot sauce and jalapenos melding together. She continued drain her milkshake without realizing everypony else was watching.

Scootaloo was the first to tease her. "Wow I've never seen ya drink a milkshake like that before? Must be those crazy cravings pregnant mares get?"

Rainbow looked over at the orange filly with her cheeks flushing pink as she replied, "yeah something like that..." She also figured these new cravings were a result of her pregnancy but she was still unsure. Everything was feeling like a hurricane of emotions; she was frustrated at Scootaloo but at the same time wanted to do what she thought was best for her. She turned her attention to the small orange filly once more and continued, " look, I have to apologize to you for my behavior. Being pregnant is not an excuse for how I'm letting these crazy emotions control me. Still, it's hard to control how I feel...especially around you. I mean, I'm not trying to be your mom...maybe more like an older sister."

Scootaloo finished her shake, then gave her a smile and replied, "right...I...I would like you as an older sister."

Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle both blushed and dawwed, "awww, that's so cute…."

"Shut it!" the two pegasi exclaimed.

Rainbow Dash then sat back in her seat and sighed, "ok, now we need to talk about you being self-conscious about your flying. I thought we talked about this last night?"

Scootaloo lowered her head and grumbled, "right...I mean, how can we have a team with a pegasus that can't fly? It's still bothering me…"

Rainbow got up, seeing that she should let the three talk this out without her. "Well, I think that I did everything I could, and I think you should talk amongst yourselves; when you make a decision, let me know, and I'll zip you guys to the Crystal Empire myself."

"Ok!" the three fillies chirped as she walked off out of Sugarcube Corner. She looked upward, knowing that Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle both will somehow get Scootaloo to change her mind. But at the very least, it would be their decision, not hers. Mrs. Cake came over with a smile, "I saw you; you're a natural with those foals."

"What! No, I wasn't...I... I'm just…ugh, I don't want to be a mom like you, ok!" Rainbow shouted.

Mrs. Cake held up a hoof, "I get it; I'm not trying to pressure you into giving up your dreams for a foal. But, I'm just saying I think you would be a wonderful mother, is all."

"Sure...look... It's not like when I have this foal, I'm gonna bail on her...I just don't feel ready ...and I don't know...maybe I was taking out my emotions of not wanting a foal with my marefriend. Then with Scootaloo maybe I was taking out my emotions with her…I don't know what I want." The mare ranted; her cheeks flushed pink at the realization she was talking out loud.

"Hmm, sounds like you just need to take your time making a decision," Cupcake responded as she placed a hoof on her shoulder. "Trust me, you think I was ready for foals? Especially twins?"

Rainbow Dash snickered, "probably not, heck; we were all surprised! Pinkie kept telling us you guys had one foal for weeks!"

She paused and then started to shake all over as the image of her holding two screaming baby alicorns came into her mind then exclaimed. "W...what if it's the same for me? What if I have twins?"

Mrs. Cake blinked looking unsure then replied, "I thought you said the spell that made you pregnant would only make you have one baby."

Rainbow Dash slammed a hoof to her face. "Ugh, like we know anything about magic! I need to be sure! I mean, what if that's why I'm having these cravings of wanting ice-cold food and spicy food mixed together!"

Mrs. Cake held up a hoof. "Woah, slow down; we don't know anything yet, and you're jumping to conclusions."

The Rainbow coated mare took a few deep breaths to get her bearings, then whispered. "Yeah, you're right; I'll look into it later."

She then saw the cutie mark crusaders burst through the front doors and head off down the dirt road singing a song together. Rainbow couldn't help but chuckle, "It looks like they're back and ready to kick blep!

Mrs. Cake then headed back to Sugarcube Corner and replied, "go after them and stop worrying about your choice right now; when the time comes, you'll make the right decision that's best for you and your foal...or foals."

The daredevil mare gave one deep breath she was ready to go and be the best less emotional judge and whispered, “thanks Mrs.Cake."

Rainbow was going to speed off after the trio but stopped as she realized that Mrs.Cake maybe the only mare she knew who had foals recently and could help her out. She gulped before asking, "before I go...you wouldn’t mind if I ask you advice on um...being pregnant?”

“It would be my pleasure,” Mrs. Cake snickered as she bowed then Rainbow Dash with a smile flew off after the fillies feeling much, much more confident and with a clear head.

Chapter Five: New Surprises

View Online

A few weeks after being a judge for the flag bearing, Rainbow Dash slowly woke up and looked over at her marefriend laying down in the bed next to her. It was early in the morning, with the moon and stars still shining outside. She groaned. Her body was already changing. She was already putting out with her blue belly-bloating outward, and the mare could feel pressure near her nether regions. She didn't even want to look downward. The daredevil mare knew that her teats were growing, and she didn't want to acknowledge that yet. Rainbow Dash went downstairs, and then they continued to make herself some herbal tea and take her vitamins.

Winter slowly came over with a smile as she asked, "Hey, you heading out?"

Rainbow shrugged and then added, "I told Twilight I was gonna help renovate the old castle in the Everfree forest; I also have a yoga lesson with Fluttershy, I have a doctor's appointment after that, I need to pick up tea from Zecora, today is just gonna be one heck of a busy day."

Winter walked over and wrapped her hooves around Rainbow Dash and nuzzled her marefriend as she whispered, "I mean…it doesn't sound too bad, I personally can't wait for the doctor visit."

Rainbow Dash slammed her hooves into her face and shouted, "I can't…I…I mean it's been about what two months!? And I'm gonna see our baby for the first time!"

Winter stepped back and replied, "Hey, take it easy…also, did you just say our baby?"

Rainbow cheeks flushed, but she wasn't sure why she said that it wasn't like the two pegasi made the foal through natural means and grumbled irritably, "It's not even our baby; it's just some random goddess that appeared out of nowhere."

Winter looked downward as she whispered, "look, I know that it's not up to me and that you're still debating on whether or not you're going to keep the baby…but…I think we should raise her."

Rainbow eyed her and asked, "you know foals are a lot of work, right?"

"Honestly, until winter actually comes and winter wrap up, I'm just standing around doing nothing most of the time anyway." The goddess explained.

Rainbow Dash shrugged. She wasn't sure yet of her decision, and she didn't want to give a definite answer. She turned to Winter and responded, "I… I'm still not sure about that yet, but we can talk more about this after the doctor's visit."

She then walked over and kissed her mare friend on the lips, and they locked in their embrace for a while, just standing in the kitchen and making out. They eventually broke their embrace and then nuzzled her before whispered, "alright, I gotta get going…."

"Alright, have fun," Winter whispered back as she watched the mare fly off.

At Fluttershy's cottage, the daredevil mare was stretching her wings and back alongside her friend. Rainbow Dash was arching her back and loving the early morning air, with the fresh dew under her hooves. She spread out her wings, letting every feather she even felt the pressure in her nether regions being relieved. The daredevil had to admit she loved doing yoga and was quite happy with herself for joining in. Fluttershy then looked over and asked, "so how are things? You haven't talked all morning."

"I know; I'm just nervous that I'm going to see my foal for the first time." Rainbow gave a deep sigh as she got out of her pose.

Fluttershy got really excited and chirped, "oh wow! "That's wonderful! You're going to get pictures right!"

"Um…uh…sure?" Rainbow stammered; she felt so awkward talking about her pregnancy so openly.

The daredevil then changed her pose, going on her back and spreading out her legs and wings. Fluttershy then looked over at her friend, and her cheeks flush red. "oh wow? Your um…mammaries are getting rather big."

Rainbow Dash squeaked as she shoved her hooves over her crotch area and shouted, "Hey, stop staring!"

"S..s…sorry," Fluttershy whispered meekly as she laid down on her back and went and did the same pose as Rainbow Dash.

As they laid next to each other, Fluttershy looked over and asked, "so…um…have you considered raising the foal here?"

The blue-coated mare rolled her eyes; she knew Fluttershy wanted her to keep the foal, but again she was on the fence still and grumbled irritably, "maybe, but honestly, I'm not sure if I'm going to raise the foal. But then Winter comes out of nowhere and suggests she be the mother. I'm not sure if I'm being honest."

"I…um…uh...think that um…oh never mind." Fluttershy stammered.

Rainbow Dash eyed her friend and then asked, "just spit it out? What are you trying to say?"

"I…um agree with Winter." The yellow-coated mare whispered meekly, and this made Rainbow then slowly got up on all fours then grumbled under her breath. "Yeah…yeah…but even if she watches the foal and becomes her mother, where does that leave me?"

Fluttershy then got up too as she turned to her friend and replied, "I think you can be a mom and be where you've always been trying to be a Wonderbolt and being yourself."

Rainbow Dash blinked, thinking things over. Was it really that simple can she raise her foal and be herself? Maybe she's overthinking things, but Fluttershy's words did ring true she might be able to do both. She got up to see the sun finally coming over the horizon; it was rather beautiful seeing the sunrise over the hill. And shining down on them, she then headed to the hospital.

Rainbow Dash was lying down in a hospital bed at the hospital once again, looking up at the ceiling tiles above her. Redheart came over with a smile, "hello Rainbow Dash, sorry to keep you waiting."

The daredevil mare just gave a sigh; she was trying to be patient, but she hated being in hospitals and grumbled, "it's fine; I guess you came back with my blood test results?"

Redheart beamed a smile at Rainbow Dash and responded, "Yep, and you’re very healthy. I'm happy to see you're taking the vitamins I prescribed."

Redheart then looked down with her cheeks flushing red as she looked down at Rainbow Dash's teats. "Before we check on your baby, I have to say your teats have grown substantially since your last appointment. I would suggest that we milk you; we can use your milk to help pregnant mares who are having trouble with lactation."

"Stop! Ugh, no way! No one is drinking my milk!" Rainbow shouted as the nurse raised her hooves and stepped back. "Woah, woah, take it easy; if you don't want to do it now, it's fine."

Winter then burst into the hospital room panting and looking rather frantic and shouted, "am I late!"

"Nope, your right on time," Redheart replied with a smile as she waved a hoof.

Winter was next to her holding her marefrend's hoof as the nurse took some cream and rubbed the cold cream over her belly; she shivered as she then saw the mare placing a wand on her stomach. Redheart then started to move the medical wand device on her. The two mares both watched the screen and saw that there was not one on the screen but two little blobs on the screen with the sound of a heartbeat reverberating outward.Nurse Redheart, Winter, and Rainbow Dash just gaped in awe as the daredevil mare's mouth was agape and whispered, "a...are…those what I think they are?"

"Yep, it's twins…I can't tell their genders or what species they are yet…but yeah, they're twins," Redheart explained.

"H…how!? I thought I was having only one foal?" Rainbow Dash cried out.

Winter shook her head and grumbled, "did my magic seep into your body or something?"

Redheart shrugged and replied. "Look, I don't know anything about magic; I just know what two fetuses are when I see them. I'm sorry, but that's just the facts."

Rainbow rubbed a hoof over her face and groaned under her breath, "just great twins…."

"Hey, I think that's great! At least our daughter is going to have a playmate!" Winter cheered as she clapped her hooves.

Redheart shrugged as she replied, "We still don't know the gender of your goals yet; I don't care what mystic mumbo jumbo is going on here. So let's just wait until your next appointment to confirm that. Other than that, you're looking great; what are you doing to keep yourself active?"

Winter snickered behind a hoof as Rainbow Dash just explained, "yeah, since I can't fly as much, yoga has been my way to exercise without straining myself, and supposedly it will help with the birth."

Redheart nodded as she replied, "yes, that's very true; stretching is very much encouraged, helps with circulation and keeps your muscles limber when the baby comes…or I guess in your case, babies."

Rainbow Dash still couldn't believe that she was having twins as she just gave an irritated sigh, "alright, thanks…."

She then got up and headed out into the hallway with Winter and looked over at her. "Alright, I thought it over for a while…if you're willing to do most of the childcare, I'll keep the foal…guess foals now."

Winter was surprised and responded, "wait…are you actually being serious? You're actually willing to keep the foals!"

Rainbow Dash didn't want to be mean, but she had to be sure her marefriend knew what they were getting into. "Yeah…but your changing diapers, feeding, and caring for them alright; after the foals are born, I'm going to be busy trying to get into the Wonderbolts. I'm not letting anything get in the way of my dreams."

Winter's eyes filled with tears as she hugged Rainbow. "Please, you're going to give birth to not one but two goddesses! It's never happened before, and I would be happy to be their mother."

Rainbow gave her a sigh, feeling so relieved that Winter was excited and seemed to be ready to bear the bulk of raising the foals; she then hugged her marefriend back, wrapping her wings around her, and whispered, "alright,,, then… I'll keep the foals…." Rainbow Dash finally said it; the words came out of her mouth, and she felt like she was in a fever dream. At the very least, Winter seemed excited; she was still doubting whether she was willing to really ever deal with two foals; it was bad enough she was having one.

They broke the embrace as Rainbow looked over at Winter and asked, "hey do you want to come with me to Zecora's? Then we can go help Twilight to renovate the castle."

"Yeah, that sounds like a great idea; come on!" The goddess squealed as she took Rainbow's hoof, and they flew off through the halls.

Rainbow Dash and Winter both were slowly walking through the Everfree Forest; she was heading to the former castle where the princesses lived, but her mind was stuck on thinking about how she found out she was having twins? She needed to talk to Comet and see if they knew what happened…she did have sex with Winter not long after their goddess went into her…but they were both mares; whatever happened was magical.

"Hey, you've been quiet for a while? Do you wana talk about anything?" Winter asked as she looked over to her marefriend with a concerned expression on her face.

Rainbow Dash shrugged, "we sort of talked about everything we needed to back at the hospital. It's still just a shock to me that I'm having twins."

Winter nuzzled her, "come on! More foals, the merrier, I say!"

Rainbow Dash just nuzzled back; she didn't want to ruin Winter's excitement over the news. They then found themselves at Zecora's hut and saw the open. Standing before them was the mysterious Zecora, who stood there with a smile as she asked, "It's nice to see that you came for more tea."

Winter stuck a hoof out, "well, it's my pleasure meeting you, Zecora."

"Yes, Winter, it is a pleasure meeting you too." The zebra chimed as she shook the goddess's hoof. They then went inside the hut where Rainbow Dash was left, standing there shaking quite nervously.

Rainbow Dash was feeling somewhat nervous as she stammered, "Yeah…also…um I don't know if this information is in regards to your herbal tea, but I…um… I'm having twins…."

"I know, that already my dear, so there's no reason to fear," Zecora explained as she gave her a little package full of premade tea bags. Rainbow Dash was somewhat surprised, "wait, you knew I was having twins!? How!"

Zecora laughed, "I used to help plenty of pregnant mares back at my home; this isn't, as Applejack would say, is not my first rodeo."

Winter shook her head, "I should've realized she had twins sooner myself."

"Like how would we even know! We were told that I was having only one foal!" Rainbow shouted angrily, seeming to be still pissed that she was having twins.

She didn't notice that Zecora went around her to take a look at her backside. "Your teats are quite bloated, I fear; I do believe they need to be milked, my dear."

"Don't you dare! I already told Nurse Redheart nopony is touching my teats!" She snapped back. Zecora shook her head and explained, "if they keep swelling with no relief, you're only going to give yourself grief."

Rainbow Dash groaned as she thought things over, to be fair, Zecora had a valid point; her teats were starting to hurt; it was like she was holding in her pee. On top of that has been a lot more helpful than nurse Redheart…and she was the first pony she told she was pregnant that wasn't a friend.

Rainbow Dash pointed a hoof at the zebra and shouted, "Fine…but you tell nopony about this ever!"

Zecora bowed and responded with a smile, "of course, my dear, now hold still this might feel weird, I fear." She then bent down next to the daredevil mare with a bucket. Rainbow had to look away as her cheeks flushed pink. She then felt the cold touch of Winter's hoof touching her's, and she felt ready like a foal bracing itself for a shot.

Then she felt her teats being held by Zecora's cold hooves; the daredevil shivered and braced herself as she felt the pressure being relieved from beneath her. The mare could hear the milk hitting the pail first like rainwater hitting metal. Then the sound turned to more of a plopping sound with the smell of her…milk…coming forth.

She turned to see Winter was enjoying this with that cute smile printed on her face, but at the very least, she knew Winter wouldn't tell any pony about this either. Zecora held the pail up as she poured it into the giant jar; she replied, "now, I suggest we take this milk to the hospital as a loan to help mothers who can't produce milk of their own.

Rainbow grumbled under her breath; she didn't like the idea of being treated like a cow. But her babies aren't coming out for several more months, and there wasn't much else she could do with it either. Winter then gave her those adorable puppy dog eyes and relented once more." Fine, I'll donate my milk to the hospital, but you do it and don't tell anypony where it comes from, understand?”

"I will make sure nopony is aware, where this milk comes from, I swear." Zero chimed, sealing the jug and lugging it onto her back. Rainbow looked away, still feeling so embarrassed that she produced so much milk.

"No, I must go to the hospital for this burden I must relieve; however, do you need anything else before I leave?" Zecora asked, grunting a bit due to the weight of the milk.

"Um…nothing…and um thanks… you've been a big help," Rainbow mumbled; she felt both embarrassed and a bit guilty for putting Zecora through all of this. But the zebra just beamed her another smile and replied, "it's what I do; I know the pain you're going through."

Rainbow turned her head away, feeling even more guilty now! She knew Zecora came from a distant land, but she never explained her past…not to this extent. She scratched the back of her mane, wondering if maybe she could give her some pointers on her specific situation, and asked, "Um...have you ever heard of a mare being pregnant with a goddess?"

Zecora stood there for a moment and replied, "Well, I have heard of a tale from far away that a mortal gave birth to a goddess who was then known as a goddess herself on that day."

"Yeah, forget I said anything," Rainbow stammered as she left with Winter following from behind. The last thing she wanted to do is be referred to as a goddess of maternity or something like that. Now she's giving her breastmilk to other mares. The idea made her quiver; she needed to just go help with the renovations and forget she's pregnant for a bit.

Chapter six: Meeting Batmare

View Online

Rainbow Dash trotted through the Everfree Forest as she headed over to the old castle deep within the dark forest. She walked over slowly to the decrepit castle ruins. She came through the ancient ruined grand hall and saw her marefriend Winter and her friends already busy with renovations of the place. The mare was a bit unsure of what to do, so she walked over to take some rotting beams of wood. But suddenly, out of nowhere, Applejack quickly grabbed them and placed them over her back. "Don't ya worry, I got this?"

Rainbow Dash got rather angry, knowing full well Applejack was being overprotective of her, and snapped, "Hey! I can easily lift those too!"

Applejack seemed to try to explain her action in a rather nonchalant tone, "Hey, I'm the earth pony here, so stop worrying about it."

"Ya sure it ain't because I'm pregnant!" Rainbow Dash growled under her breath.

The farm mare held up her hooves in defense. "What!? N...no! Ya overthinking about this!"

Applejack then scratched the back of her mane and replied sheepishly, "b...but I have to ask how ya holdin' up?"

"Oh, I'm fine alright, In fact, I just got back from the hospital, and I found out I have to…." Rainbow trailed off with her cheeks flushing red, realizing she almost exposed her secret.

"Wait...what did ya say ya, havin' twins!?" Applejack exclaimed at the sudden news.

Pinkie Pie slid over to the two on the brushes strapped to her hooves and squealed, "oh! I felt my mane twitching earlier. I knew somepony was having twins, but I didn't know it was you!"

"Come on! I didn't say, twins! I said to...t…to...oh forget it!" Rainbow started to sweat as she began to feel more frantic with the news now known among her friends.

Twilight walked over with a smile on her face and asked, "oh Rainbow Dash, you're having twins! Did you just find out!"

The daredevil mare started to feel her face turn hot and begin to turn red, then shouted, "yeah! I'm having twins, alright! Now I can just get back to work!"

She flew off looking for anything to do to get the idea of having twins from her memory. The daredevil mare looked over and spotted Rarity, who was busy fixing up the drapes and stitching them together. Rainbow Dash walked over and asked, "Hey, need any help? Want me to get you some supplies?"

"No, darling, I'm quite alright; there's no need to strain yourself, and congrats on the twins! I'd have to make some adjustments on your paternity dress designs…." Rarity explained.

"What, no...I don't need any dresses!" Rainbow Dash roared in anger and slammed a hoof to her face. "You're all just crazy!"

She flew off, now more furious, and flew off to find a quiet palace by herself. She'll just find something to do, avoid her friend, and prove she doesn't need to be coddled!

Later that afternoon, the pegasus was busy tossing out debris from a tower, taking old fallen bricks or rotting wood, and tossing them out a broken window. The mare was just pissed off and taking the time to vent her frustrations on the stone and wood lying about. While going about her work, she almost didn't notice Spike was sitting down on some pillows and reading a comic book.

Rainbow Dash was rather curious as she slowly came over to see the portrait of Maneiac on the cover. In all honesty, the comic looked pretty cool as she asked, "Hey, what's that?"

"It's my comic about the power ponies, that's all…." Spike explained.

Rainbow Dash scratched her mane. "Huh, I think I saw foals reading those back in Cloudsdale? Ya think I can borrow it after you're done?"

"Seriously, I thought you hated books!" Spike asked out loud.

"Of course not! Well...I hate most books, but Daring Do was cool; I guess I could try reading something else while waiting for her next issue." Rainbow Dash explained rather sheepishly.

Spike opened up the comic and revealed the last panels, and explained. "Yeah, but something is wrong with this comic, the last page is missing, and instead, there's something written here in small print on the back cover."

Rainbow tapped a hoof to her chin. "Hmmm, I think there was a magnifying glass somewhere…."

She then spotted one and tossed it over to Spike. "Here, now I'm gonna leave the room just in case of spoilers!"

"Alright, go on! I wana to see what this says!" Spike exclaimed excitedly. Rainbow chuckled as she flew off to leave Spike to his comic. At least she had something to look forward to later...then she heard her friends shouting and turned to see that they were coming around the corner.

Twilight waved a hoof and asked, "Hey, Rainbow did you see Spike? He's been gone for some time."

"Yeah, he's down t-" then suddenly, bright light exploded forth and enveloped them all in its blaze. Rainbow Dash had to shield her eyes as she and her friends were pulled into a vortex of colors.

Rainbow Dash groaned as she slowly got up, rubbing a hoof over her head. "W...where am I?"

She looked around and realized that she wasn't in the castle anymore...she was in some strange city...it looked a lot like Manehattan with rising skyscrapers and giant streets full of neon signs. Rainbow Dash looked upward to see that it was now in the middle of the night with giant air balloons flying overhead. Everything seemed to be dark. She then noticed that she was wearing...a dress! She looked around herself to see the dress was sporting violet color, and she had a big sun hat over her head. "What kind of outfit is this!"

As the mare was walking, a building near her exploded with the bricks and glass shattering all over the streets. Rainbow Dash was somewhat surprised by the sudden explosion as she cried out, "what the buck was that!?"

She then looked over to see that some crazy-looking stallion was wearing a strange outfit. One half of him was a white coat with a gold mane and blue eyes, looking like a prince from a fairytale. The other half of his body was a dark-looking stallion with a black mane, a red and black striped mane, and red eyes. The strange-looking stallion was wearing a suit, with one side being nice and clean while the other side was torn and filthy. He had a gang of weird-looking cronies running off with sacks with giant bit signs plastered on them to some chariots nearby, throwing the bags inside and riding off in a cloud of dust.

Rainbow Dash wasn't paying attention to anypony else as she was memorized by the strangest pony she's ever seen. The stallion had an evil grin as he looked over at Rainbow Dash and laughed maniacally, "So! Some random civilian in the middle of my heist! You will make for a perfect hostage!"

"Buck that!" Rainbow shouted as she rose up and flung her wings out, and then the dress disintegrated, leaving her in a rather strange-looking flight suit.

The stallion gave a loud gasp and cried out, "Zap! I thought you retired!"

He then slammed a hoof into the ground and shouted, "it doesn't matter! There's no way you're going to ruin my heist!"

The stallion's horn then shot out a barrage of black crystal shards. The daredevil mare braced herself as she threw her hooves over her body, deflecting the crystal shard with ease.

As the barrage of shards ceased firing, Rainbow Dash flew high in the air and shouted, "I have no idea why you're calling me Zap! But my name is Rainbow Dash!"

She then dived down headfirst into the crazy stallion, then lit the left side of his horn shooting blinding lights. Rainbow Dash dived headfirst nonetheless, and instead of a rainbow trail, she was starting to shoot lightning outward at the strange stallion. The crazy stallion jumped back as he then shot out a giant spire of black crystal at his foe. Rainbow Dash flew backward to avoid being skewered, and that was when the stallion seemed to notice her bulge.

The villain bowed and commented obediently, "I apologize for insulting you; you're pregnant; no wonder you retired!"

Rainbow stopped in her tracks and squealed, "wait! You're not going to fight me because I'm pregnant!? Come on, seriously!?"

"Of course not! I could never harm a beautiful mare like you!" the stallion proclaimed in a sweeter tone.

But then he had a devilish grin come over his face as he snickered, "but that doesn't mean you wouldn't make a perfect hostage lay a trap for Batmare!"

He then took out a net gun at her and shot it at the daredevil mare as she wrapped around her body. Rainbow kicked and shouted, in turn being trapped in the next being unable to escape from its grasp.

The strange stallion tied her up and carried her to a chariot. After placing her inside, he waved a hoof and snapped, "Alright, let's go!"

They then sped off down the road as Rainbow Dash sat across from the stallion struggling against the ropes. Still, every time she tried to send electricity through her body, it would dissipate.

The villain waved a hoof with a smirk, "sorry, my lady, that rope is made of rubber; you're just going to have to be patient and be saved like a good hostage."

Rainbow snarled at the comment, but this crazy pony had a point there was nothing she could do...she just had to wait to be saved.

After the long chariot ride across the dark city, they came to a warehouse where she saw many goons stacking sacks of bits and other priceless artifacts and art pieces. Rainbow Dash was led through a house, still tied up to a rather strange-looking dining room. One side had its walls and table warped and in a state of decay, with mold growth and the chairs broken and strewn about. While the other side of the room was relatively pristine with a beautiful chandelier overhead, the tablecloth a pure white, and the room on the right side was spotless. Rainbow Dash was then placed down on the far end of the table, tied up in her chair, half-rotten and the other half well kept. The crazy pony then untied her, walked to the other side of the table, and sat down. A waiter then came by, giving the mare a platter and revealing a dandelion sandwich; one side was cooked to perfection while the left looked like a sloppy mess and burnt to a crisp. Rainbow looked up with a glare and snapped," I'm not eating that."

"Then starve!" the stallion snarled as he pointed a hoof at his horn. “I'll remind you that I have full control of this building, plus my men are all outside still sorting out my treasures. Make any sudden moves, and it ain't going to end well for you."

Rainbow eyed him as she started to figure out what was going on; she must have been sucked down in Spike's comic book. As crazy as that sounds, this strange city and this crazy gangster obviously was proof of that. She needed to first get an idea of who she's dealing with to escape and asked, "ok...so who are you, and why did you kidnap me?"

"Oh, that's easy, my name is Geode; I have my more proper princely side," Geode explained, but then he gave an evil grin again and growled, "then there's my more devilish side. I kidnapped you because you are a witness to my crime, so I can't just let you go. Secondly, you're bait for my nemesis Batmare!"

"Batmare!? Wait...am I in a comic book!" Rainbow groaned as she was sort of hoping she was wrong.

"Comic book!? What are you talking about1? This ain't a comic book!" Geode shouted as he slammed a hoof down on the table.

Rainbow rolled her eyes as Geode's behavior confirmed to her this was indeed a comic book. That must also be why she was wearing some stupid costume, plus this villain was obviously some insane mobster. Also...she had to wonder if this is the same comic Spike had, and if so, that means her friends should be here too... But she couldn't have them see her like this! Worse, have them rescue her! Not a chance she was going to get out of this and bring this crazy mobster to justice...but she had to be wise...he has some sort of split personalities, like a mix of King Sombra and an arrogant Prince Blueblood. She couldn't help but realize that this would be much more difficult to track, never knowing what side she was dealing with.

She then looked up to see a strange-looking pony in the rafters above them. The pony was wearing a strange outfit with a cowl and pointed bat ears. There was a long black cape, and the mysterious pony was wearing a utility belt around their waist. Rainbow Dash noticed she looked somewhat similar to the Mysterious Mare Do Well, who was really just her friends trying to teach her a lesson. It could be one of them there! She couldn't just let her take her thunder and rescue her!

Rainbow's eyes narrowed at the mare, and they had to find a way to escape! She then eyed the goblet of water near her and then took it with her hooves as she asked, "so...Geode, tell me what is that you're going to do with all those bits?"

"Oh, you would like to know, wouldn't you!?" Geode growled.

He then looked somewhat apologetic and held up a hoof. "I am so sorry for my behavior; of course, I would love to explain what I'm going to do with the bits! A few years ago, I was a prince who was in line to inherit my parent's money. But, something horrible befell me when thieves broke in, and one cursed me, turning half of my beautiful body into a hideous creature. I was then thrown out of my home and forced to create a gang to inherit a fortune of my own!"

As Geode kept on monologuing, Rainbow Dash took the drink and poured it down her body, and groaned, "oh no! I think my water just broke!"

"What!?" the stallion shouted and looked down to see the puddle of water forming under his hostage's hooves. He ran over and was panicking, "why would you pee all over yourself!?"

"This isn't pee; my water broke, you morone! I'm giving birth!" Rainbow shouted.

The stallion then untied Rainbow Dash. She then gave the stallion a good kick with her hooves with electricity shooting outward to boot. Rainbow rose into the air and shouted, "aha! Take that idiot!"

Then she felt two things woosh over her head, and she looked behind her to see two goons bonked on the head by what looked like boomerangs. Then the mysterious pony flew down from the rafters with her dark cowl covering her face, and two leathery wings sprouting out from her sides. She turned to Rainbow and growled, "Zap, you always seem to forget to mind your surroundings, and when did you get pregnant?"

"Excuse me, but I don't think we met before?" Rainbow growled.

"Very amusing now pay attention there's more coming," The mysterious mare replied, and soon the two were surrounded by goons with Geode standing upward with his minions. He pointed a hoof and roared," Get them!"

"And mind Zap she's pregnant," he added in his strange apologetic tone.

The hordes of ponies ran in. Rainbow and the mysterious bat pony started to knock them out, with Rainbow Dash sending bolts of lightning at the ponies and knocking a few down. She turned to see the bat pony was taking on double of her number, flipping around and smacking ponies down with bat shaped boomerangs. She was now fighting Geode with the crazy stallion shouting, "Batmare! We meet again!"

The mare's eyes narrowed, "Geode, I know that what happened to you wasn't your fault, but robbing banks and art isn't going to change things."

"Of course not! But this city owes me, including my parents! They all deserve to burn for abandoning me!" Geode roared as he began to shoot both bright light and black crystal shards at the same time!

Batmare was able to fly up and dodge most of the projectiles and slamming her hooves into the stallion's face and sending him backward. He held his ground and was going to ram his horn into the Batmare. Still, Rainbow Dash could fly across the room with lightning bolts flying from her body as she slammed him into the wall.

"I saw that coming," Batmare grumbled as she walked away. This Batmare's behavior did more than just piss off Rainbow, who shouted, "oh well, your welcome!"

She then flew after the Batmare and asked, “So, what now?"

"We run, I already called the cops, and you don't want to be here when they get here," Batmare explained rather bluntly as she took Rainbow Dash by the hoof, and the two flew off through the skylight.

The two mares were now standing on the roof watching some cops bringing the gang into the back of their chariots and driving off probably to some prison. Rainbow felt rather proud bringing in a bunch of gangsters into justice...but she couldn't help but feel bad for Geode, who seemed to be a tragic villain caught up in unforeseen circumstances. "That Geode though, I mean, he's crazy, but I can understand his situation... I'm forced into having twins I never intended to have."

Batmare shook her head and replied, "every pony goes through unforeseen misfortunes; it's what you do to overcome those challenges that define you."

"Well, that's easy for you to say!?" Rainbow Dash scoffed, getting more annoyed with this moody superhero.

Batmare turned to face her and responded, "trust me, I understand what you and Geode are going through more so then you realize. But you can't change the past but what you do with your future is up to you."

Rainbow Dash paused for as second that was pretty wise....even if it's a bit patronizing she then asked, "say...you don't have powers, huh?"

Batmare, looking into the night sky and replied, "besides flying and being good in a fight, not really."

Rainbow Dash was somewhat astonished, "dang, that's crazy! You're fighting superpowered villains with no powers!? Are you crazy!"

"Maybe, but I like to think I'm just making this city a better place," Batmare responded in her rather serious tone.

Rainbow Dash wasn't a fan of the mare. Still, she turned away and looked down to see the last of the gangsters being rounded up and replied, "Well, you're not my favorite hero, but I think you are making this city a better place."

She then looked up to see a light shine in the air shining into the sky in the shape of a bat. "Thanks, but now I must be going, looks like something else came up."

"Alright, just wanted to say th-" Rainbow paused mid-sentence looking around and saw that the mare was gone. "Ugh, seriously!? That was rude."

Then suddenly, a bright light hit her once more, and she felt herself being sucked into the light itself.

Rainbow Dash woke up from the blinding lights seeing dots dancing over her eyes. She was back in the castle and turned to see her friends and Spike all over the place looking discombobulated and getting up, most being as confused as she was. The daredevil mare was the first to ask, "Hey, what happened!"

"Oh, Rainbow, I'm so glad you're ok!" Winter squealed as she flew over and gave her marefriend a hug.

Rainbow hugged her back, and they held the embrace as the others got up. Spike looked over and asked, "Hey, where were you, Rainbow?"

Rainbow Dash looked over at Spike and retorted, "where were you guys?"

The young drake gave the mare a smirk as he replied, "oh, we were just fighting the crazy Maneiac, and I was actually pretty useful considering I was Humdrum!"

"Oh, that's nice to hear; I got kidnapped by some crazy gangster named Geode." Rainbow Dash replied.

The others were confused, but Spike was rather surprised and gasped, "you mean you faced Geode by yourself!?"

Rainbow scratched the back of her mane not knowing how to take that and replied, "well, there was this dark and brooding mare named Batmare."

"You met Batmare!" Spike squealed, "oh, that's so cool! The power ponies always try to recruit her, but she always denies them."

Spike then made a solemn-looking face and replied, "she then always says, sorry I don't do superhero groups I work alone."

The other mares were all somewhat confused but snickered at Spike's impersonation as Rainbow Dash responded, "yeah, I'll admit she seems to be a bit of a loner, and I think it's crazy she's trying to fight superpowered ponies without powers. But she did help me, and I did learn a lesson or two."

The daredevil mare then gave out a yawn and stretched her limbs as Winter walked over and gave her a pat on the back, "As interesting as your story maybe, I think we both had enough excitement for one day; why don't we head back to your place?"

"Sure, that sounds like a good idea," Rainbow yawned as she laid over Winter, letting her take her back through the air...Rainbow Dash wondered deep down how she felt at times being like Geode, and wondering if she will be able to keep herself under control and finally accept what's happened to her.

Chapter seven: A Date in Manehattan

View Online

It's been about a month since Rainbow Dash's misadventures in Spike's comic book, and things have progressed much with her pregnancy. The pregnant mare groaned as she was slowly getting up and looking down at her bloated belly. She gently took a hoof, rubbed it over her body feeling how tight her stomach was, and looked down at her stress lines running all over her body. Everything about her feeling off both having shivers feeling cold while her forehead was hot to the touch like she had a fever. She was feeling sick, and she ran to the bathroom, where she puked hot flames and snow from her mouth. Most would be somewhat stunned by this, but Rainbow Dash was used to this by now. After flushing and gurgling her mouth with mouthwash, she looked into the mirror seeing her dreary eyes staring back at her. Rainbow Dash still couldn't believe that she was actually going through with this pregnancy. Still, the pegasus was rather happy that she wasn't doing this on her own. She slowly walked over to the guest room she rarely used, and her face turned a bright red. The simple guest room was now looking like a nursery with two cribs, a diaper changing table, and a few toys. The walls, however, were still bare, being a dull white. She and Winter were still debating how they were going to go about painting the nursery, but it's not a big deal. She was around four months pregnant, so it would be a while before the foals were born. Rainbow Dash went down the hall and wasn't that surprised to see Winter already up with breakfast ready to go,

"Eggs, pancakes, and tofu bacon topped with hot sauce and a sprinkle of frost." Winter chimed as she slid the meal towards her marefriend.

Rainbow's mouth was drooling, looking down at the table, and she snickered as she sat down at the table, "thanks, but seriously, I can make breakfast once in a while too. I'm not helpless, you know?"'

Winter threw a hoof nonchalantly. "Oh, don't fret about it; I know you're throwing your weight cloudbusting; it's the least I can do."

Rainbow Dash nodded as she dug into her meal, too busy gouging into her food. But it gave her time to think a little, realizing that Winter hasn't been able to do much since winter wrap-up. She then looked up and replied, "alright...I know it's hard for you since Winter is still months away."

Winter threw a hoof in the air and replied, "oh, it's fine; I have no issues with how things are besides? We have bigger issues we need to address."

Rainbow scoffed, wondering what they could possibly be missing, "we already have a bunch of foal supplies, a crib, and even nursing equipment. What else could you even be addressing?

"Hmmm, nothing like that. It's just that Rarity wants us to go to Manehatten, and you haven't responded, and the train leaves in a few hours." Winter explained.

Rainbow Dash looked down at her body, seeing how her belly was bloated outward and teats now bulbous again. She didn't want to admit it, but she was becoming self-conscious about her body as she shook her head, "I... I'm just uncomfortable with going out looking like this."

Winter shook her head as she walked over and placed a hoof on her mare friend's shoulder, and commented, "Rainbow, you're beautiful."

"Oh, stop lying!" Rainbow Dash cried out, feeling somewhat flustered from the compliment.

Winter threw her hooves over her eyes and squeaked, "I'm serious! You look amazing! You make me blush, for crying out loud!"

Rainbow Dash was stunned as Winter had a bad habit of not telling how she really feels, but she could tell that Winter wasn't lying. The mare got up and walked over to her marefriend and nuzzled her. "I'm sorry you're right, and thank you. I appreciate your compliment."

The two kept nuzzling each other, which eventually led to kissing. Still, the moment broke when Rainbow Dash got up and groaned, feeling the pressure in her teats beneath her underbelly. The mare then walked off back to her bedroom with Winter, who then helped push the cups over her teats and turned the machine on. Rainbow closed her eyes as she had her teats being milked. After an hour of being on the device, she felt the pressure release hearing that satisfying "pop." Winter closed up the machine then asked, "so...you want to go to Manehattan?"

She gave a sigh thinking it over; she already took a few days off in advance just in case she decided to go, or she was just planning to relax and have a staycation. But in those last few moments, she decided to go and grumbled, "Yeah, I guess so."

"Alright, well, we should get packing," Winter replied as she helped Rainbow Dash off the bed, and the two mares went along and picked up clothes and had them pack her milk machine. As they were getting ready to go, Rainbow Dash found herself looking in the mirror multiple times and having doubts about this trip. It wasn't just the fact her friends were going to see her like this, she still had a dream of becoming a Wonderbolt, and she didn't want her public image marked by her pregnant body. But... Winter's words came back to her about being beautiful, and she did admire her slender curves. Her somewhat toned body gave her a feeling of admiration that she still retained her physical prowess despite the pregnancy. Rainbow Dash then came to the door with a single suitcase, only bringing the milk machine and her vitamins.

Winter turned and snickered, "you sure you don't want to bring any clothes?"

"Buck, no, I'm not going to be modeling or anything...also we're going, but I'm going to ask for our room for...you know...privacy," Rainbow mumbled, feeling embarrassed about her teats and didn't want an audience made up of her friends watching her being milked. They then set off from her house above Ponyville, and she could only hope that there weren't many ponies at the train station.

Rainbow Dash flew down to the train station accompanied by Winter as they came upon the rest of her friends at the train station. The other ponies seemed to be rather excited about the trip and talking primarily about the new musical "Hinny of the Hills," Rainbow Dash's cheeks were a bit pink as she also heard about the musical and was also interested in seeing it. But it didn't take long for the rest of her friends to look over at her and gasped in surprise. Rarity was the first to come over and compliment her, "Rainbow Dash! I'm so glad you could make it! I was worried that you were going to not come!"

Rainbow Dash took a second to compose herself, seeing her friends weren't gawking at her or making her feel uncomfortable. She got up and replied, "yeah, of course, I was going to come, but...I would like to ask a favor?"

Rarity threw a hoof, "oh, if you're going to ask for a private room for you and Winter, that's already been arranged. I know with your condition you would like some privacy."

Rainbow Dash beamed a smile; out of all her friends, she and Rarity don't get along that much, but she had to admit she knew when to make accommodations. She does an excellent job. "Alright! Well, then it's settled; let's get going!"

Rarity, however, just stood there and slowly opened her mouth as if to say something, and she eventually did, "Rainbow...I know you are still against the idea of trying out some maternity dresses, but I was t-"

"No thanks! I'm not going to model anything while we're out, ok!?" Rainbow snapped she wasn't going to ruin her vacation by modeling dresses or whatever else Rarity had in store. She then flew into the train and plopped down on one of the seats. Winter eventually flew by her and asked, "hey? Rarity didn't mean to embarrass you; I think she just got inspired by your new body and wanted some help with seeing how they would look."

"I understand that! But I really don't feel comfortable doing that, ok?" Rainbow Dash growled as she settled into her seat. As her friends got on the train, it wasn't much longer; the chugging of the train pulled itself from the station, and they set off to Manehattan.

When the ponies finally made it to Manhattan, Winter and Rainbow Dash settled with Winter in their hotel room. The pregnant mare was laid out on the bed, relaxing on the bed and stretching her limbs, "ugh, that was one heck of a train ride! I never felt so stiff in my life!"

Winter walked over and asked, "so...while Rarity is off doing her fashion week contest, why don't you and I go hit up the city by ourselves?"

"Yeah, I guess we got nothing else to do?" Rainbow grumbled, "but I swear if any other pony comments on my body, I'm going to blow a fuse!"

"Ok, ok, just don't go ballistic on anypony," Winter snickered.

The two then set off through the city; as they walked about, Rainbow Dash could feel the stares of many ponies gawking at Rainbow's body. She was feeling rathered and flustered, but Winter's presence kept her that soothed her down to not start shouting at everypony and looking crazy. They then came to see a relaxing looking spa with a statue outside of ponies sitting cross-legged outside what looked like an oriental temple of some sort. Winter was the first to point a hoof at it and asked, "Hey, why don't we try that?"

Rainbow Dash realized it has been a while since she had a massage; she knew due to her condition, she wouldn't be able to get her super deep tissue massage that she usually got back in Ponyville, but anything would be nice to alleviate the stress of her pregnancy. "Alright, it wouldn't hurt to get a massage."

She and her marefriend both then walked inside. They were surprised to see the interior with an oriental-looking interior; the walls were decorated with exotic flowers and bamboo with a small waterfall in the back of the relatively large waiting area. They then both walked up to a receptionist, a young pegasus mare sitting in a cross-legged yoga pose with her eyes closed. She didn't even open her eyes when she addressed the two and asked, "hello there and welcome to the Zen Spa; how may I assist you?"

Winter paused, looking somewhat surprised as Rainbow Dash held up a hoof and asked, "so...um, do you have any recommendations for a pregnant mare? Or is this one of those things I can't do while pregnant."

The mares looked up, and upon seeing Rainbow, she smiled and replied, "oh, of course, we do! We will do a light massage around your belly and groin area. We will do our best to provide a soft, pleasant blend of oil and creams to help elevate any aches and cramps. Of course...there is even a discount for pregnant mares."

Rainbow was actually enticed by the offer and nodded, "yes, please, I'll do it!"

"Oh, and can I get something like an ice bath while Rainbow Dash gets her massage?" Winter asked.

"Oh, of course! Now together, both will cost three hundred and fifty bits." the mare replied.

Both Rainbow and Winter squeaked at the price, but Rainbow took a bag of bits out. "It's fine; when we are on vacation, there's no reason not to spend a little."

After she paid for their treatments, Rainbow Dash was taken to a bench that was surrounded by candles and incense burning on sticks. It was thick with a relaxing and welcoming aroma. She was laid out on her back, wings stretched out, and flopped over. She laid her head back and let the mare do her work. She could feel the gentle hooves hitting several tight knots in her back. The hooves were covered in a coat of oil and cream, helping smooth out the skin underneath her coat. The feeling and experience of the massages were so relaxing and gentle Rainbow Dash couldn't help but moan once in a while. The feeling of the masseuse's hooves moving across her back felt so lovely, and she was somewhat cautious as she pressed gently into the sore spots across her shoulder blades. It was unlike anything Rainbow Dash ever experienced, and it was, without doubt, a gentle but well-deserved massage. Then the preening began as she felt her wings being groom with the feeling of the hooves of the masseuse moving across her feathers, removing bent ones, and cleaning the dirt from the crevices. It was a tense and sensational feeling as she could feel each of her feathers being touched. She shivered and whimpered as they were gentle, seeming to make sure that they weren't harming or making her feel uncomfortable. Then she was told to flip over, which she did without hesitation. The masseuse took some more cream and oil and rubbed them over her hooves. She then progressed, providing a very light touch to her pregnant belly. Rainbow's cheeks flushed pink, seeing her move around the bottom part of her belly, smoothing out the tight skin and making sure to not be near the womb. The mare hummed as she made sure to provide light, smooth, relaxing motions making her way to Rainbow's nether regions as she asked, "may I provide comfort in your private areas?"

The daredevil mare wasn't sure at first, but the masseuse was so kind and relaxing that she couldn't help but want to get some relief around her more tender areas and nodded "yes." The mare just gave a nod back before starting to rub her hooves around her crotchboobs and making sure to just rub the oil over them, smoothing them out; she squeaked, feeling them leak a little. But the mare already had a small bucket catching the excess milk and placing it aside. She then continued until she came to Rainbow's more sensitive parts. Rainbow laid her head back and just let the masseuse do her work, rubbing those gentle hooves over the most sensitive parts of her body. Rainbow Dash felt at peace with herself and the world and was feeling relatively relaxed from the massage. When she opened her eyes, the mare replied, "alright we're finished here."

Rainbow slowly got up, and she was surprised that all the aches and tightness throughout her body seemed to have disappeared. She felt as if a giant weight was lifted off her shoulders, and all the stress and pain from her body was gone. Rainbow Dash rose up and stumbled after the masseuse. She draped a bathrobe over her and then applied a chalky green face mask over the pegasus's face as she explained. "Now, your marefriend is in an ice bath and finishing, I suggest you come with me to a nice warm bath. I filled it with soft bath salts to help finish your cleanse."

"Yeah...that sounds really nice," Rainbow sighed as she followed her to a small warm pool of water, letting it engulf her body. She sank into the soft clean water that seemed to just amplify the masseuse's work on her body as the mare felt any minor pains wash away from her body. Being rather tired and quite relaxed, she closed her eyes and sunk into the water, and decided to take a nap.

After a few hours soaking in the hot tub, Rainbow Dash reunited with Winter at the lobby; she also seemed to be preened and relaxed from her own experience at the fancy massage parlor. They both hugged each other with Rainbow Dash whispering, "my goodness, I feel so relaxed; I'm glad we came here."

"Me too, you look...wow even more beau-" Winter was going to finish her compliment. Still, Rainbow Dash planted a kiss on Winter's lips, and they held their embrace for a moment before they both trotted out the door with each other's heads nuzzled next to each other. Winter looked up to see the sun setting and suggested, "hmmm, maybe we should head back? Rarity might be back from her event?"

Rainbow Dash was going to agree, seeing she was well relaxed and ready to see Hinny of the Hills, but her stomach then made a loud growl, and both mares burst into laughter. Rainbow Dash turned to face her marefriend and suggested, "well, then guess if we could get a bite to eat first."

"Yes, who knows if we'll be able to eat during the musical," Winter added.

They then saw they were next to a rather homely, looking pizza parlor with some ponies on tables enjoying delicious-looking slices of pizza. Enticed by the aromas that wafted from the food, Rainbow Dash and Winter both walked into the parlor with the smell of garlic, tomatoes, and cheese seeming to encase them. There was a happy chubby stallion who waved a hoof, "welcome! You two are here for Manehattan's best quality pizza, am I right?"

Winter snickered as Rainbow rolled her eyes, "I bet every pizzeria owner says that? What makes you so special?"

"Oh, come now!? You two have no idea what you're missing! I am the best, and I have proven it again and again. Now come and sit!" the chubby stallion exclaimed as he patted the two chairs down with a hoof.

The two then sat down across from each other, and then they ordered a giant pizza. Rainbow Dash's side had spicy jalapenos, ghost peppers, hot sauce, a dash of cold mozzarella cheese, and frozen tofu pepperoni. In contrast, Winter just had that on her side. Winter ate her side of the pizza with a smile as she watched her marefriend devour her's. Rainbow was immersed in eating the mouthwatering pizza with the spiciness and cold texture melded into perfect harmony in her mouth. She ate about a quarter of the pie before she burped and wiped her mouth with a napkin. "That was good."

"Yes, it was; we should bring some of this pizza to our friends," Winter added. The fat stallion waved a hoof, "hey, if you enjoyed it so much, please come again! I love serving new customers!"

"Oh, we will! We're going to come back every time we visit!" Rainbow chirped, and she meant that, having never eaten sound this good in her entire life! As the two got up they walked off back to the hotel.

As the two came to check on their friends, the two pegasi were somewhat astonished at what they saw. Rarity was freaking out and having the rest of her friends have taken any kind of fabric, along with every curtain and sheet in the room, and had turned them into long rolls of cloth being ready to be made into outfits.

"Uh, what's going on?" Rainbow Dash asked, looking both confused and concerned at the state of the room.

Rarity gasped and shouted, "everypony, stop!"

She turned her head to Rainbow and pleaded, "Rainbow! I require your assistance! Somepony stole my ideas and ruined me! I have made a full line of maternity dresses already. But...I...I need your help! Would you model for me?"

"What!? No way!" Rainbow Dash shouted back, being adamant about not being a model for any reason.

Rarity threw herself at Rainbow's hooves, wailing, "Please! I'll do anything!"

Rainbow Dash looked over at her friends, who all shrugged, as her marefriend just had a sheepish grin who was probably wanting her to take the offer. Rainbow Dash really didn't want to do this but seeing Rarity was looking rather desperate, it was obviously the right thing. The pegasus slammed a hoof on the ground and shouted, "fine, I'll do it!"

"Thank you! We must be there early though, can you manage waking up at five A.M? We have to be at the studio by eight." Rarity squealed as she was jumping up and down in joy.

Rainbow Dash muttered some curses under her breath, and she threw a hoof as she walked out the door, "fine, whatever, just let me sleep then, alright. Also, I got this stuff called pizza; I had a lot leftover, so please enjoy yourselves."

The rest of her friends all looked down at the odd pizza, with most of them giving it a look of disgust. Pinkie Pie, however, was already chomping away at it, but half her face turned blue while the other half a bright red as she squealed, "eeep! That's hot and cold at the same time! How is Rainbow eating this!?"

The rest of her friends snickered while Twilight did her best to explain. "She's pregnant Pinkie, from what I've read, pregnant mares have the oddest of cravings, and seeing she's giving birth to a goddess of winter and one of fire, I assume that has something to do with her odd cravings of late."

Applejack just shrugged, "I just hope she gets back to being our old Rainbow Dash when these babies come out."

Rarity got up and shouted, "enough of this nonsense! Don't you see that Rainbow Dash needs her beauty sleep!? Besides, Applejack, you don't see what I see in our new Rainbow Dash; she isn't just any pregnant mare, she's grown into a goddess of fertility! I mean, my outfits will accentuate her femininity, but as a model, I think she will become a star!"

Fluttershy lowered her head and muttered, "hopefully, she won't get carried away as I did when you made me into a model."

Rarity coughed as she rolled a hoof over her mane, "yes, I do apologize for that. No, I'll be clear with the judges that this is a one-time thing."

The others just rolled their eyes as Twilight shrugged, "All alright, well, at least your debut at the Fashion week will be successful….but where are we going to sleep?" She looked around, seeing the sheets of the beds were now giant balls of yarn.

Rarity scoffed, "I'll just pay the hotel extra for the damages; we shall go to a new room far from Rainbow Dash to give her adequate room to rest, now come along!" She then strode off with her friends shrugging and following after the fashionista.

As the rest of her friends sought a new hotel room, Rainbow Dash strolled into her room and yawned rather loudly, stretching her hooves out. Despite the Hinny of the Hills show being delayed due to Rarity's drama. She honestly was glad at the same time, being a little too relaxed and bloated from all the food she ate. Rainbow Dash plopped onto the bed and barely noticed Winter drifting the covers over her and tucking her in. Feeling the warmth of the blanket cover her entire body. She then soon drifted off into a deep sleep, dreaming of eating pizza while sitting in a natural hot spring somewhere high on a snowy mountain top. Rainbow Dash looked down at her pregnant body and smiled. All that insecurity and shame she felt about herself seemed to have wafted over her. The daredevil mare laid back, feeling the strange mixture of the hot water around her body and the cold icy air around her mixed together. She just sat back, listening to the wind whistling around her as the hot boiling water around her body softened her body and made her feel at peace.

Chapter Eight: Rainbow Dash's catwalk

View Online

The following morning Rainbow Dash woke up rather suddenly as she suddenly had the urge to puke. She sprinted across her hotel room to her toilet and puked her guts out; this time, it was a mix of snow and bits of flaming coals that poured from her mouth. For some reason, her mouth and throat felt fine; however, the rest of her body felt like it was in excruciating pain. She groaned, lay on the bathroom floor for a few moments, and wondered if she should cancel doing the fashion show with Rarity. Slowly the daredevil mare stood up on all fours, then looked over at the bathroom mirror and stared right at her face, which looked somewhat bloated and grumbled, "there's no way I'm ever getting used to being pregnant."

The mare got up off the floor as she slowly trotted out of the bathroom and back to her room where Winter was now up and flashing her marefriend smile. She couldn't help but trot over and nuzzle the pegasus and asked, "Hey, how ya doing?"

"I'm fine," Rainbow Dash growled angrily, seeming to be somewhat irritated by being patronized by her marefriend.

The daredevil then looked at a much larger mirror and looked over the rest of her body, seeing how round she was. She looked back to her round hips and thicc rump. Rainbow Dash usually could give less of a horseshit what others thought of her. Still, at this moment, she couldn't help but feel self-conscious about her large, bloated body. Rainbow Dash then looked towards her marefriend, and with a whisper, she asked. "Do I really look beautiful?"

"Yes, you are," Winter chimed, rubbing a hoof over Rainbow's face.

"Thanks," Rainbow Dash mumbled as she turned away with a half-hearted look; she didn't know if Winter was just being lovely; regardless, whatever Winter said in response, she really was starting to feel ugly and fat. The daredevil then nuzzled Winter for comfort as she strolled out of the hotel room followed behind as she headed downstairs to the hotel lobby where Rarity was standing by, waiting patiently for them. The fashionista looked up and flashed Rainbow Dash a smile as she commented, "darling, you look amazing,"

"Stop lying seriously; I know I'm just fat and ugly," Rainbow grumbled irritably, not wanting to be patronized by her friend.

Rarity simply scoffed at the notion with a wave of her hoof. "I have no idea what you're talking about; you look absolutely stunning."

The daredevil mare just bent a wing over her face feeling too embarrassed to even respond to the compliment as she was then escorted out of the hotel.

The two mares were trotting down the streets of Manehattan, and Rainbow Dash was trying to keep a low profile as she didn't want to draw attention to herself. They eventually made it to the hotel where they were hosting Fashion week. As they trotted inside, they were greeted by a rather bored-looking receptionist.

"Good morning, darling!" Rarity chimed as she trotted over to her.

"We're here for the finale for fashion week and to show off my new designs!"

"Right…" the bored mare grumbled as she looked up at the clock overhead. "Well, you're early, so just go on ahead."

"Thanks, darling," Rarity replied as she trotted off with Rainbow to a grand auditorium, and that was where they met a bunch of other designers and models running around like chickens with their heads cut off. They were all scrambling about trying to get models prepped for their catwalks or finishing up last-minute designs. Among the chaos, there stood Photo Finish shouting out orders to her own assistants getting cameras set up, lights adjusted, and getting out backstage equipment or serving sandwiches and coffee. She then turned to face Rainbow Dash. "So, Rarity, this is the model for the new maternity line you're presenting?"

"Yes, she is; as you know, I ran into some issues with my old fashion line," The fashionista responded somewhat begrudgingly as she stared right at a light pink coated earth pony with a death glare. Rainbow Dash has seen Rarity angry a few times, but her icy cold glare with the intent to kill made her shiver.

Photo Finish then began to circle around the daredevil mare. She was starting to feel uneasy as the light blue earth pony continued to trot around her gauging her from every angle. Photo Finish then took a hoof and gently brushed it over Rainbow's face, and asked, "how long have you been pregnant?"

Rainbow Dash cringed at the questions being rather uncomfortable about it, and admitted, "Around four months."

"She's also having twins!" Winter added with a chirp.

"Seriously! Like she needs to know that!" Rainbow Dash shouted.

"Oh my, that'z why you're so big early on!" Photo Finish added, then threw her hooves in the air and proclaimed, "well, I have to zay! Rainbow Dash, you're absolutely ztunning! I would go az far to say you're a goddezz of fertility!"

Both Winter and Rarity started to snicker at the adorable compliment Rainbow Dash; however, was not taking any more of this teasing. Her face turned into a beat red as she snapped back, "I'm just here to help my friend! So don't get any ideas! I'm doing this once, and that's it!"

Photo Finish then threw her hooves in the air and exclaimed, "Of course! But if you ever want to do zome modeling gigs, please don't be afraid to call."

Rainbow Dash just rolled her eyes and had Rarity escort her to the back of the stage, where the pegasus was placed down on a stool. She started to look around frantically as she started to freak out a little. "Hey, what's going on here!?"

Rainbow was having makeup and blush applied to her face. The daredevil hated getting all dolled up, but she endured it as two other mares went about applying makeup and fixing her mane. No matter how much of her face was caked in makeup or how smooth her mane looked, Rainbow Dash still just couldn't help but stare at her reflection with a feeling of disgust welling up inside her.

Winter stood by looking like she wanted to say something, but she stayed silent, knowing words wouldn't help make Rainbow Dash feel better.

Rarity eventually trotted into the room, shooed the makeup artists away, and then trotted over to her friend. "Darling? Are you doing ok?"

Rainbow continued looking at her reflection in disgust with her rage coming to a boiling point; she then suddenly cried out, "look! I'm not one to complain about my looks, but come on, stop lying! I'm disgusting! aren't I!?"

Rarity turned to face her friend's reflection and said, "darling, you're a bit bloated, is all, that's all."

"Didn't you hear me!? I don't feel a bit bloated," Rainbow snapped back. Winter then trotted over and wrapped her hooves around her marefriend and pulled her into a tight hug as she enveloped the mare in her wings. They held each other in a tight embrace, and Rainbow Dash nuzzled into Winter with tears flooding her eyes. They settled into each other, and the daredevil seemed to finally calm down. Rainbow Dash took a deep breath then turned to her friend. "Fine, what do we do from here?"

"Just come along darling, I need to get you dressed into your first outfit!" She then took out a maternity dress with a design of a dark blue with yellow lightning bolts printed over the fabric. The outfit looked similar to a Wonderbolt flight suit, and it was designed to fit over her pregnant body. She looked back at the mirror and stared at her reflection for some time. Then it came to her for once she saw what everypony else was seeing: her soft, supple fur, pregnant frame shaped by the dress that now covered her body. For a moment, she thought about what Photo Finish called her an hour ago; she might indeed resemble a goddess of fertility.

A few minutes later, Rainbow Dash was now standing behind a curtain, feeling irritated as she was fidgeting about still feeling rather queasy about her situation. She looked around and saw that other models all started to whisper and snicker amongst each other. The daredevil tried to ignore them, but she could feel her anger boiling, seeing they were mocking her because of how she looked! Rainbow Dash then turned around and then shouted, "what the buck are you all laughing at!?"

The other models all stopped, some being somewhat frightened by her anger. Rainbow Dash then flared her wings and roared, "If you want to know, I'm pregnant! Not fat!"

The other mares all looked down, and some even apologized as Rainbow Dash just slammed a hoof down. "Look, I don't care about being a model, so I'm not here to upstage you; you all can go first."

As the other models settled down it wasn't long until they heard Photo Finish shout.

"Ladies and gentle ponies, welcome to fashion week!"

Everypony in the crowd clapped and cheered, then the curtains were raised, and the models were all revealed to the crowd. Rainbow Dash was squeamish as she stood there with the rest of the much skinner mares. She did her best taking in deep breaths and remaining calm using all her mental power to not run. It wasn't long until the rest of the mares began to strut out onto the stage one by one, showing off the outfits others made. She noticed Rarity was glaring at that smug-looking pink-coated earth pony who had this cocky grin and had an air of snobbishness around her. Rainbow didn't know precisely why Rarity had a grudge against her. Still, she knew that her friend sounded rather desperate last night making her wonder if this other mare sabotaged her previous fashion line? This realization made Rainbow Dash feel more determined as she thought to herself. That no matter what, she'll help Rarity show off her new outfits and help her win Fashion week!

After the final model came back from her catwalk. Rainbow Dash took in a deep breath; this was without a doubt going to be the most embarrassing thing she's ever done, and she was somewhat nervous about being strutting out in a dress!

She was so focused on feeling nervous being on the catwalk, but Winter trotted over, nudged her, and reassured her. "Hey, it's alright, you got this."

Rainbow Dash gulped as she did her best to shake off this fear. She's done some crazy stunts, from performing a Rainboom twice, crashing into the ground from thousands of feet, or even the feeling of having gone through the young flyers competition. The daredevil mare then strutted out onto the catwalk, shaking her rump back and forth. Rainbow Dash was caught up in the fog that covered the walkway, and the dubstep playing in the background with flashing lights surrounding her.

All of the lights and sounds were blinding and deafening, clouding her senses. Still, as she continued her strut, Rainbow Dash noticed ponies all around her began to whisper amongst themselves. She wasn't sure if they were praising or mocking her, but the mare's brain kept telling her it was the latter of the two options. The daredevil mare did her best to ignore them, but as she trotted to the edge of the catwalk. There were dozens of cameras snapped photos of Rainbow Dash, who was now staring over the crowd of ponies all whispering and talking amongst themselves. She was doing her best to ignore everything, trying to look stoic and trying not to show off too much emotion on her face. Rainbow Dash did her best to show off the dress around her body some poses. The low mutterings turn to those of approval with a round of applause. The daredevil mare quickly strutted back down the catwalk and went behind the curtain. She was then swarmed by assistants once more, who promptly changed out of the dress into what could be described as a light white toga decorated with lightning bolts and with a gold leaf clipped over her right shoulder and a gold circlet made of gilded leaves placed over her head. Rainbow Dash then looked over into a mirror, gazed at her reflection, and saw that she was indeed looking rather stunning in her outfit. The Toga draped over her body showing some of her pregnant belly and her curves under the outfit leaving little to the imagination.

Winter then trotted over looking wide-eyed as she commented, "Wow, you really are looking like a goddess! Are you sure you're not a descendant of one?"

"I wish!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed as she nuzzled into her marefriend. Rarity then trotted over then asked, "so are you ready for round two?"

The daredevil mare gave a loud sigh, "Yeah, sure, let's do this!" The fashionista nodded as she removed the curtain, and Rainbow Dash strutted back out onto the catwalk.

Rainbow Dash then strutted out onto the stage, and to her surprise, instead of the hush whispers like before, the crowd was much more lively. The daredevil began to strut across the stage with her cheeks flushing red as she got even more applause and admiration from the crowd. She couldn't help but get into the groove a bit more than before. The daredevil began to strut her and shake her rump as well, all the while cameras snapping photos and applauding as she continued to trot across the catwalk. After getting to the edge of the catwalk, she struck a few poses and shook her rump without a care in the world.

Photo Finish placed a hoof over her chest and exclaimed, "Don't you see! This iz Rainbow Dash, the goddezz of fertility!"

The daredevil mare was somewhat taken aback by the new nickname, and she couldn't help but start feeling rather embarrassed as many started chanting, "Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash! Rainbow Dash!"

Rainbow Dash started to feel embarrassed, and she briskly trotted back behind the curtains. There she took a second to take a breath as she began to recover from the second round of her catwalk.

"Bravo! Bravo! You are simply marvelous, darling!"

Rainbow Dash looked up to see Rarity trotting towards her, flashing a lovely smile. The daredevil eyed her, "ya sure? Because I distinctly remember when you made Fluttershy a model, and you got really jealous when she was outshining your outfits."

"Oh, that was a long time, darling, and besides, you swore this was a one-time thing," Rarity chimed in response.

Rarity and a few other assistants swarmed her once again, and was dressed into another outfit. This time, she was dressed in an adorable apron with Wonderbolt designs colored in a dark blue with yellow stripes and a wonderbolt sigil printed on the front of it. The daredevil couldn't believe what she was dressed in...an apron!? And on top of that, there was even a thick dark blue and yellow striped diaper bag strapped around her chest. Even the toga and the dress before weren't as embarrassing as this! She then glared right at Rarity and shouted, "seriously!? What is this!"

Rarity simply threw a hoof once more in response. "Oh, come now, when your two little munchkins come out, you'll need something to protect your delicate coat from all sorts of messes." The white-coated unicorn then trotted around her and tied the bow behind the daredevil, and commented, "Now this is the last run, just go out there and do your stuff!"

"No way! The dress and toga were bad enough. I'm not gonna go out there dressed up like a mom!" Rainbow Dash shouted.

Rarity paused, seeming to be a bit hurt by this, but Winter was the one who trotted over and poked a hoof at Rainbow Dash's pregnant belly. "Like it or not, you're going to be a mom, But I think that you should finally realize being pregnant doesn't change you as a pony."

The daredevil mare stopped with her heart pounding in her chest as she stared right into her lovely magenta-colored eyes.

“No...y...your right! I...I didn't mean to be so mean...ya...ya know…."

Rainbow Dash then trotted over and gave her marefriend a kiss on her cheek. "Thank you."

The daredevil mare then turned her attention to Rarity and asked, "I'm sorry for earlier."

"It's quite an alright, darling; I know this is way out of your comfort zone; if you wish, you don't have to go on stage. I'm sure my last two outfits should suffice."

Rainbow Dash sighed as much as she would instead jump into an ice-cold pool in the middle of Winter; she might as well go through with this and finish the fashion show. As Applejack said, she made a promise, and she was bent on keeping it. "Nope, I'm going through with it!"

The daredevil gave a deep breath before trotting through the curtain one last time.

Rainbow Dash threw her mane and trotted across the catwalk, with the crowd now going wild as they continued to shout and chant not just her name but her new nickname. "Goddess of fertility!"

The pegasus was somewhat stunned at the new nickname and felt a bit embarrassed. Still, she continued to trot across the catwalk with her head bopping to the music, unlike the dress or the toga before; this was much tighter. She could feel her crotch teats to her body, making her feel rather squeamish being so exposed to many strangers staring at her. Many mares, some who looked much older than her, commented how well she looked in the apron. She did her best to ignore them as she continued to strut all the way to the end of the catwalk for the third time to another round of cameras flashing and ponies cheering her on.

"Come on, Rainbow Dash! Show off!"

It didn't take long for the daredevil to get caught up in the atmosphere as she stood up on her back legs and showed off the apron in its full glory to everypony. The crowd went into a roar clapping and cheering her on. Rainbow Dash threw her forelegs over her head and struck a few poses. Then as Rainbow Dash went back on all fours she threw them a kiss and slowly strutted off towards the curtain once more. As she went backstage, Rainbow Dash turned to see Rarity and Winter, and the daredevil turned to the white-coated pegasus. The mare in question looked over and asked, "Hey, so how did I-"

Winter flew towards her and landed a kiss on her cheek.

Not long after the fashion show, Rainbow Dash was sitting down on the train alongside her marefriend Winter, waiting to be taken home. Many ponies around them were looking in her direction and whispering amongst themselves. Rainbow Dash looked over and was surprised to see her figure sporting a toga on the cover of dozens of fashion magazines.

"So, what do you think of your new nickname? The goddess of fertility," Winter chimed.

"Oh, shut it!" Rainbow snapped back; she then laid back in her seat, trying to avoid eye contact with anypony, as she was still extremely embarrassed by the nickname. But as she snuggled into her marefriend feeling her frosty coat and taking in the aroma that smelt of a cold winter breeze. She then felt Winter rub a hoof over her belly as she whispered, "It won't be long until they're out."

"I know; I hope you're ready because you'll be changing their diapers," Rainbow whispered.

The two burst into laughter as they snuggled into each other some more. As the train started to roll and chug off Rarity trotted over and sat across from the two pegasi, the fashionista flashed her friend a smile and said, "darling, I just want to say thank you for helping me; you went above, and beyond anything, I asked for."

Rainbow wasn't sure how to respond as she gulped and replied, "Sure, it's no problem; it was actually kind of fun being a model for a day."

"Oh, thank you, and what do you honestly think of my outfits?" the fashionista asked with a hint of nervousness in her voice.

The daredevil mare was about to say something, but Rarity held up a hoof, "don't just give me lip service or lie; if you hated them or thought I was just embarrassing you, let me know."

Rainbow Dash bowed her head, being slightly embarrassed as she enjoyed her time at the fashion show. But she didn't want to straight-up admit it and at the same time, the outfits were a tad embarrassing including that apron and diaper bag combo. Rainbow Dash paused a minute before she said, "I thought your outfits were great, really...in fact...I just want to say thank you."

Rarity’s eyes filled with tears as she responded, “thank you!”

“Yeah, yeah, just let me sleep alright,” Rainbow Dash yawned as she snuggled back into Winter; she was starting to feel pretty tired, so she instinctively laid her head into her Marefriend’s mane using it as a pillow. The last thought that crossed her mind was thinking about her nickname. The goddess of fertility on second thought it was starting to have a nice ring to it.

Chapter Nine: Rainbow Dash's Flight School

View Online

Another month has passed since her trip to Manehattan. Rainbow Dash groaned as she was lying in the hospital bed; she could feel the familiar aching pain coming from her bloated teats. The daredevil mare slowly raised her head and peered down only to see her bloated bulbs covered in blue fur were pretty massive, being the size of small melons at this point. It was so embarrassing and annoying to walk around with them; luckily, her marefriend Winter was by her side. The daredevil mare was doing her best, trying to not show any anger. Still, she was pissed that she was missing out on being a part of qualifying races for the relay team to compete in the Equestria Games. Realizing that she was replaced by Derpy made her that much more angry and infuriated. She had been coaching her along with Fluttershy and Bulk Biceps. But Derpy was the pony that needed the most work and needed one-on-one training she was planning to do later this evening. The whole situation was indeed what was making her even more pissed off than seeing her bloated belly. While Rainbow Dash grumbled about her condition, Nurse Redheart looked over her with intense scrutiny and wrote things down on her clipboard. She looked over at her patient with a smile, "I have to say your pregnancy is coming along quite well; your foals are healthy, and from your bloodwork and ultrasound, there are no health issues as far as I can see."

Rainbow Dash pointed a hoof towards her nether regions and shouted, "So then why are my teats so big!?"

Nurse Redheart gave a shrug and said, "well, for one, you have two goddesses in you, and I don't know anything about magic. Also, this is rather normal considering you're having twins, and this is your first pregnancy, so your body is overreacting with hormones being pumped throughout your body."

She turned her attention to Winter and asked, "she is taking the hormonal suppressors, right?"

"Yes, every morning as prescribed," Winter responded curtly.

Nurse Redheart eyed them and just shook her head as she said, "I'm sorry, but I don't have any other treatment other than we constantly have you milked when your teats become bloated."

"Fine, just get it over with," Rainbow Dash groaned as she then laid back on her hospital bed; at this point, she was too annoyed to really fight back. Nurse Redheart then went to hitch her up with a pumping machine. She monitored it as the pump went to work pumping her milk and seeing it getting sucked out and placed into a container. Rainbow shivered as the sensation went through her as she felt her milk being pumped out from her body. Winter sat by her and sat next to her side through the entire ordeal. She was a sense of comfort, and it was nice to have her marefriend be by her side. As the milk pumping machine finished its job, she was taken up back on all fours, and like every time before, she felt a wave of relief that it was over. In fact, it always felt somewhat relieved of not having all that excess weight beneath her body suddenly disappearing.

Nurse Redheart trotted over and bowed her head, "I have to thank you; your donations are helping a lot of first-time moms, especially those who unfortunately can't nurse their foals. So please don't feel embarrassed about this."

"Yeah, yeah, don't mention it," Rainbow Dash snapped. She really wasn't in the mood to discuss how she felt about basically being a cow and having a bunch of foals drinking her milk. It was all too embarrassing and bucking annoying to deal with all at once with being a coach and having the pressure of Ponyville's qualifying in the upcoming games. The mare then started to trot down the hall alongside her marefriend, and that's when as they passed a hospital room, she turned her head and noticed Soarin was lying down in one of the hospital beds.

She was somewhat surprised to see a Wonderbolt in Ponyville General, seeing he was supposed to be trying out for the Equestria Games. But from the looks of it, he was pretty battered up with his wing tied up in a cast, and the stallion looked like he was in quite a lot of pain.

Rainbow Dash couldn't help but feel sorry for the Wonderbolt. Seeing his injury was probably keeping him from competing; heck he might be out of the Equestria Games just like her.

"Hey, you should go talk to him," Winter suggested nudging her mare friend abit. Rainbow Dash wasn't sure what to say to him, but she wanted to give him her condolences and wish him to get better soon. She then slowly trotted over to his hospital bed and gave Soarin an apologetic smile, and asked, "hey Soarin, how are ya?"

The stallion looked over, and his eyes went wide and said, "I heard you were pregnant!? But wow? You're getting big!"

Rainbow Dash groaned and rubbed a hoof down her face as she bowed her head. "Yeah, yeah, I know this is as crazy for me as it is for everyone else."

"Right, but still… I can't believe the rumors were true, "the stallion responded, still gawking as in complete awe of Rainbow's pregnant body.

Rainbow Dash just rolled her eyes as he hadn't even answered her question then asked, "So you got into an accident?"

"Yeah, just got into a stupid crash, and my teammates replaced me," Soarin grumbled rather irritably.

Rainbow Dash couldn't help but empathize with his situation seeing she was also replaced and said, "yeah, I'm in the same boat."

"Yeah, it sucks, right? But hey, glad to see you're doing well? Are you gonna try out for the Wonderbolts after you uh….ya know…"

"Yeah, of course, I am! I'm not putting my dreams on hold just because I'm having foals!" Rainbow shouted. She then turned her head as she hated the fact everypony she came across kept talking about her pregnancy. It was getting rather annoying as she continued, "well, I have my marefriend Winter she'll help me with child-rearing."

Soarin gave Rainbow Dash a smile and said, "right, that makes sense, well at the very least let me give you some advice, try taking the time to study for the written test. Most ponies who try to become Woinderbolts usually forget to study and fail that part."

"Yeah, I've been studying; I'll be ready for it," Rainbow responded rather sheepishly as the mare felt somewhat embarrassed for the fact she hadn't studied the material at all.

Soarin laid his head back on his pillow then yawned, "you'll do fine, trust me, you're practically a Wonderbolt already."

"Thanks, um, take care. I hope you feel better." Rainbow Dash squeaked; she couldn't believe she got a compliment from Soarin, one of her idols! She quickly walked out of the hospital feeling much more confident. But wondering how she could help him…Then a thought came to mind: what if she helped Soarin get back in shape in time for the tryouts! She could be his coach! If she could do that, it would definitely help to get to know Soarin know and be in her debt; that would be a massive boost in help with her tryouts of becoming a Wonderbolt!

Rainbow Dash turned around with a smirk on her face with her plan in mind. The mare was asked, "hey, Soarin? I got an idea!"

"What's that?" the stallion asked as he poked his head from his sheets.

"What if I became your coach!? I've been coaching Ponyville's relay team for a few days now, and I have a training session with Derpy later today."

"Really? Even with my wing still bruised?"

"Buck, yeah, you know how many times I've flown with a broken wing!"

"Yes, Rainbow, please, tell us how many times you have flown with a broken wing!"

Both Soarin and Rainbow Dash squeaked as they turned around to see Nurse Redheart standing behind them, giving Rainbow an icy cold glare.

"C…come on, I'm just trying to motivate Soarin!" Rainbow cried out as she was somewhat terrified of the nurse and how strict she could be.

"Yeah, sure, like you ever listen to my health advice," the nurse growled as she came over to check on Soarin. She then looked over his file. "To be honest, I don't know why you're still here; your wing isn't broken, just slightly sprained."

"R…right…" Soarin snickered rather sheepishly as he got up and walked over to Rainbow Dash and asked, "so um, where should we meet up?"

"Just follow me; I gotta find Derpy anyways," Rainbow exclaimed as she flew off after Soarin and along with her marefriend. The daredevil mare couldn't help but feel excited to be actually hanging out with Soarin!

Rainbow Dash was now in an open field with Derpy and Soarin standing together, waiting for her instruction. While Dr. Whooves was out on the field with a sign that read, "Go Derpy!" their daughter Dinky Doo was all there shouting, "you can do it, mommy!"

Winter was there as nicely as she trotted over to her marefriend's side, then asked, "so, what do you think?"

The daredevil mare sighed as she rubbed a hoof over her head with a worried look seeing Soarin rubbing his injured wing sill, then said, "Um….not sure? Soarin is still injured and Derpy…."

They looked over to see she was still looking around aimlessly as Rainbow Dash gave another long and painful sigh. "Is still Derpy."

"Alright, you two get in line!"

The two ponies stood next to each other, and then Rainbow Dash started to walk back and forth as she began her lecture. "Alright, Listen up! I know that you two both want to be in the Relay race, but for that to happen, you both need to prove to me you can do it!

Derpy was still looking up at the clouds rather aimlessly, which was making Rainbow's patience wear thin, and snapped, "Derpy pay attention!"

"S…sorry…" the grey-coated pegasus stammered out as she quickly faced Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash cleared her throat then continued, "now I know that both our perspective teams will fail if you two can't compete. But today, we're going to show them that you are worth being a part of the relay teams, and nopony is going to stop you! Is that clear!"

"Yes, mam!" both pegasi exclaimed back.

Then they went about with training as three flew into the air. Rainbow Dash then hoofed Derpy a gold-plated horseshoe and ordered, "now remember you need to take this to Soarin."

"ok," The grey-coated pegasus replied, then blinked for a few seconds before she started to fly in the opposite direction eliciting a bunch of groans from the other pegasi.

"Hey, Derpy, you're going the wrong way!" Rainbow Dash shouted out at her.

"Oh am I?" the mare responded with a blush. "s…sorry."

"You're doing great, honey! Just go towards the other pegasus and give him the horseshoe!" Dr. Whooves cried out.

Derpy nodded and was about to fly towards Soarin, but she suddenly stopped with a confused expression spreading over her face; she then asked, "Um, aren't we married?"

Rainbow groaned as she and the doctor both slammed their hooves into their faces. Dr. Whooves then responded rather politely, "Darling, giving Soarin a horseshoe during a relay race isn't considered cheating."

"Oh, ok!" the mare squeaked as she then flew off towards Soarin. The stallion in question squeaked as she slammed right into him, sending him into a cloud.

Derpy gave a sheepish smile and replied, "sorry."

"It's ok," Soaring groaned as he sprung off the cloud like a springboard then headed to Rainbow Dash. Rainbow Dash smiled, seeing Soarin fly through the clouds like a pro. But He was flapping about uncontrollably; it looked like his wing was still injured and causing him issues. Soarin then suddenly tumbled through a cloud and was suddenly heading towards the ground below. Rainbow Dash gasped in horror seeing Soarin flying to the ground despite her pregnant condition; she flew over as fast as she could and barely was able to save him only a few feet from crashing.

"S…sorry…" was all Soarin could whimper as Rainbow Dash gently lowered him to the ground.

The daredevil mare was getting rather pissed at how terrible her pupils were performing and waited until Derpy flew down with them. Rainbow Dash wanted them both to be in the relay race, but it was relatively straightforward; they weren't going to make the cut, so she was going to lay it to them straight. "Look, I don't mean to be rude, but you and Derpy as you're now aren't going to make it. Maybe it's best ya guys just wait another four years for the next Equestria games."

"No, I want to prove to Cloudsdale that I can do it!" Soarin shouted.

"Yes, I want to show I can fly too." Depry chirped as she fluttered down next to the other pegasi.

Rainbow Dash eyebrow twitched as she stomped a hoof into the grass then shouted, "then try harder! Just look at you! Derpy, you keep getting distracted all the time, and you don't pay attention to where you're going!"

"Sorry?" Derpy squeaked with a blush on her face.

She then turned to Soarin and snapped, "then you, I know you're injured, but can you be less clumsy?"

"I can try…." Soarin whimpered with a blush on his face.

"Well, try harder!" Rainbow Dash shouted.

The other two pegasi looked at each other with scared looks, but Winter flew over and put a hoof up to keep Rainbow Dash at bay. "Hey, aren't you being a bit too harsh?"

The daredevil mare eyed her marefriend and snapped, "What too harsh? What do you mean by that?"

"Look, I know where you're coming from. But we can't just belittle them like this," the mare snapped, pointing a hoof down at the pegasi, looking somewhat downtrodden. "Come on, you have to be more supportive."

Rainbow Dash threw her hooves in the air and shouted, "ok, so what should I lie and tell them they can make it!? Because I'm telling the truth, they're not going to make the cut!"

"Of course they do, they both are magnificent flyers, but you just need to believe in them," Winter snapped back.

She then turned around to face the two with a smile. "Alright, I have an idea, Derpy; you should be the last pony to grab the horseshoe; all you need to do is head to the finish line, ok?"

Derpy nodded and said, "yeah, I can do that."

Winter then turned to Soarin and said, "as for you, I know you're still injured, so you should be the first to pass the horseshoe off, so you don't tire yourself out or risk getting injured again."

"Um, ok…but look, it's fine, really…on second thought, maybe we can wait for another four years…." Soarin stammered sheepishly. Despite her earlier sentiments Rainbow Dash had no intention of letting Soarin give up so easily. She then held up both of her wings then snapped, "no, I was wrong before I'm not giving up on you two!"

She then paused for a second while brushing a hoof behind her mane and apologized, "Though I'm sorry for my behavior it's been a while since I coached ponies."

"No, it's fine, let's try again!" Derpy exclaimed. "I want to do this!"

Soarin nodded, then threw a hoof up and sighed, "fine, let's try again."

Rainbow smirked and then exclaimed, "alright! But listen up were not stopping until we have this down, so you better give it you're all! understood?"

"Yes, mam," Both pegasi chanted. Then Rainbow Dash took the two pegasi and continued their flight training throughout the evening.

After several hours of training, Rainbow Dash looked over his exhausted pupils, both looking out of breath and their wings drooping from overuse. and nodded, "well, I can say you two are improving, but we'll have to see how things pan out tomorrow."

"Right," Soarin mumbled, seeming to look somewhat unconfident as for Derpy, who gave her a salute, "I promise I won't go in the opposite direction tomorrow."

“You better not,” Rainbow Dash grumbled. Despite her misgivings, Rainbow did feel like she did her best to get the two up to speed in their flying (and to correct Derpy’s bad habits), but she still had to see how they'd do tomorrow. "Right, well, you two did your best, and I think we had some major improvements. Now, I suggest taking an ice bath to help relax your muscles and have some spaghetti with tofu balls to help re-energize your bodies. Because tomorrow will be your true test. Understood?"

"Yes, mam!" Both pegasi exclaimed once more before flying off. Derpy went with Dr. Whooves and her daughter while Soarin came over and whispered, "seriously, thank you…."

"Hey, no problem, just remember me when I try out for the Wonderbolts later," Rainbow responded with a smirk, and Soarin burst into a fit of laughter. "Sure, just don't expect special treatment from me when you do make it." He replied back then with a wink he flew off back to Cloudsdale.

Rainbow Dash felt rather proud to see that she helped Soarin get back on his hooves, and she even felt more confident with Derpy seeing she was getting a better hang of what she was supposed to do.

"Hey coach, got ya something." Winter chirped, hoofing Rainbow Dash a milkshake. The Daredevil mare realized how hungry she was and started to suck on the straw. The mare couldn't help but moan as the milky fluid passed her lips having a wonderful blend of vanilla ice cream covered in hot sauce.

"Oh, thank you so much, Winter, your the best!" Rainbow squealed as she hugged her marefriend and wrapped her wings around her; it wasn't long; they were kissing and making out. They then lay on the grass staring up into the sky as it went from day tonight. Rainbow Dash couldn't help but think how Winter keeping her in check helped see what was wrong with her coaching process. Rainbow turned to face her marefriend and drifted a hoof over her lover's face and whispered, "Thanks for your help."

"There's no need to thank me you're a good coach," Winter yawned as she snuggled into Rainbow Dash's pregnant belly.

They held each other as Rainbow Dash nuzzled into her marefriend. She paused as she thought about how strict she was with these adult ponies; she could imagine this is how her parenting style would be. Feeling uncertain, she whispered, "hey Winter, if I ever get like that with my foals…."

"Don't worry, I'll be sure to keep you in check. But sometimes we're going to need you to be strict," Winter whispered and nuzzled her lover. Then the two laid there in the hot streamy night with only the light coming from the stars and the flickers of lightning bugs drifting lazily around them. It didn't take long for Winter to maneuver herself on top of Rainbow. The daredevil looked up, staring into those lovely magenta-colored eyes as her marefriend whispered, "even though your tough, you're going to be a good mom."

"Thank you now shut up and let’s fuck," Rainbow whispered back as she was done with the conversation and was impatient to get on with their lovely night together.

"So you think they're two girls?" Winter asked with a glowing smile on her face.

It was early in the morning as Rainbow Dash was slowly chomping down on some pancakes slathered in hot sauce and ice cream. The blue-coated mare looked somewhat exasperated with bags under her eyes and her mane a frazzled mess. The mare continued to eat her meal with a placid look and seemed to be in a trance. She was still relatively unaware Winter said anything continuing with her meal until Rainbow Dash felt a gentle nudge hit her shoulder. The daredevil then turned her head and looked over to see that Winter was still waiting for an answer, but Rainbow Dash had forgotten the question.

"What did you say?"

"Oh, just wondering if you think we still have girls? or maybe the gender got swapped?"

"Of course, they're fillies," Rainbow mumbled as she finished what was left of her breakfast, chomping down the rest of her food, thinking that it should be evident that her foals will be fillies.

Winter trotted over with concern on her face as she asked, "how can you know?"

"Because….I…I just know! This visit is pointless; I know their gender and tribe will be," Rainbow Dash snapped back, being abit more grouchy than average and not wanting to go to the hospital, especially with the history test of the Wonderbolts hanging over her head.

"Ok, ok," Winter backed off as she stepped back, seeing her marefriend needed a moment. The daredevil didn't mean to snap, but she was more worried about the test she had later on the Wonderbolt Reserves. She wasn't perturbed about it until this week when Twilight basically forced her to study. The daredevil mare has tried to study in her own sense. Still, she was starting to have contractions and pain, the constant morning sickness, and her teats constantly filling up and needing to be milked had her focus split, making that much harder to study. In fact, the mare wasn't feeling confident at all as she placed her hooves over her eyes and cried, "Look, I know what my daughters are. I'm much more worried about the test."

"Right, I know how that might make you feel," Winter replied.

Rainbow Dash nodded as she finished wiping her mouth with a hoof and then drank down some nasty tasting tea that tasted like dirt. She wanted to spit it out, but she remembered how Zecora said it would help her digestion and keep her babies healthy. So Rainbow Dash swallowed the tea down and groaned as it somewhat upset her stomach. She then popped the vitamins in her mouth, swallowed, and rose up, groaning from the aches in her limbs. Rainbow Dash spread out her rather pregnant body then said, "well, I will still do my yoga with Fluttershy to help me relax; I'll be at the hospital after that."

"I'll come with you," Winter chirped.

"Ok, thanks," The pegasus chirped as she fluttered over her marefriend. Rainbow Dash couldn't help but smile. She had always been there for her throughout her pregnancy journey; whenever she felt down or needed her, it was always comforting knowing she'll be there for her. Winter then continued to trot along with the daredevil mare out of her house and flew out into the air as they headed towards Fluttershy's cottage.

After a long relaxing yoga session, Rainbow Dash was lying down on a hospital bed, looking up at the ceiling tiles above her head. She winced, feeling a cold cream being rubbed all over her rather sensitive pregnant belly even though the initial shock did feel good after a minute of a screen nearby showing two grey blobs moving about. The mare was feeling somewhat stunned, seeing her foals looking now with tiny wings. Nurse Redheart took a hoof to her face. It was a lot to take in, seeing how they were growing relatively fast and how adorable they looked with the two foals curled up next to each other.

Nurse Redheart squinted at the screen, seeming to be looking for any issues or complications as she said, "so I see no issues, their heads are down, so we can do a natural birth or a C section if you choose, but regardless it seems they're healthy and your birth should be rather smooth."

"That's good to hear," Rainbow Dash said with a relieved sigh as seeing with all of this magic involved with her birth, that was a good thing to hear.

"Also, as we assumed, both your foals are fillies! And the tribe is pegasi! congratulations!"

"Yeah! I knew that already!" the blue-coated mare snapped back, seeing as the nurse only confirmed what she already knew.

"Well, it's good to confirm your assumptions, right?" Winter replied rather excitedly as she flapped her wings.

Despite Rainbow Dash feeling like there was nothing really to be excited about, she couldn't help but admire seeing her marefriend getting so excited. It made her feel good that she was pretty happy and invested in being with her throughout this process and dealing with her grumpiness.

"Well, I suggest we milk your teats before you leave? they look rather swollen."

Rainbow Dash wasn't sure if she had time; looking over at the clock overhead, her test was at twelve, and it was already eleven p.m. But her teats were also feeling somewhat bloated, so she exclaimed, "yes, please hurry. I have a test coming up!"

"Ok, Mrs. Grouchy, just hold on a sec," the nurse responded angrily. The mare then hooks the cups to her teats and started to run the machine. There was a low hum as the engine ran, and Rainbow Dash could feel the pressure from her teats release with the milk slowly pulled out. The mare laid her head back and relaxed, letting the pumping machine work. While she lay there, Rainbow Dash couldn't help but think about all the work she's done up to this point. Not only is she's becoming a part of the Wonderbolt Reserves, but seeing her pregnancy is nearing its end. She is probably two months away from giving birth and Rainbow Dash could hardly wait. She will not only be able to give birth before the Equestria Games. She will see her foals, and despite not really wanting this pregnancy, it was something that she had come to look forward to.

As the machine stopped and the plastic cups were removed from her teats. The mare felt somewhat relieved as she and Winter made their way out of the hospital. AS they were now in the streets of Ponyville Winter turned her head towards her marefriend and asked, "So you ready?"

The daredevil wanted to reassure her marefriend that she was fine and was ready to take this test and nuzzled her. "Yeah, let's go! There's no time to waste!" The two pegasi then set off from the hospital and set their course to Cloudsdale.

Not long after the hospital visit, Rainbow Dash found herself in a rather dull classroom filled with seats made for adults, a chalkboard at the front of the room, and a clock overhead. There were no windows, only light coming from the ceiling lights, making the place rather dim. Other recruits were there, all sitting down in their chairs, some chatting and whispering. Most were looking down at some note cards, trying to get in some last-minute studying. She was somewhat nervous with the rather claustrophobic atmosphere and her overall nervousness about the test. But she sucked down her worries and trotted over to a seat with her name written on a name tag. She blushed, seeing her desk was extra wide, giving her room to sit, and as she did, the chair made screeching noises making the other test takers nearby snicker. Rainbow rolled her eyes, trying to ignore everypony else, mainly having conquered her self-consciousness about her body and what others thought of her. Rainbow Dash looked up at the clock seeing they still had ten minutes until the test officially started, and at this point, she hoped the test would start sooner so she could get this over with. Then she heard somepony shout.

"Hey, Rainbow Dash, glad you made it!"

The daredevil turned her head to see Soarin trotting over; he looked rather excited, smiling.

"Yeah, I know I'm finally here, and I did take your advice," Rainbow mumbled, feeling rather sheepish from her lack of studying. Still, she did try to take Soarin's advice from when they were both in the hospital together. As Soarin marked her down as present on a clipboard, he said, "Hey, don't sweat it; you'll do fine; this test is straightforward. Also, just wanted to say thanks for helping me get into the Equestria Games. I wouldn't have made the Cloudsdale relay team without you."

"Yeah, of course, don't mention it," Rainbow said with a smug grin feeling rather proud she made an impression on Soarin. However, she paused; as much as she was worried about passing, she didn't need special treatment in becoming a reserve and snapped, "Hey, you better not go easy on me! I can pass this test without help!"

Soarin snickered behind a hoof, then said, "of course not! besides that's not up to me."

"Wait, whose grading?"

"Alright, lazy bums! Place any notes or study material in this trash can now! There will be no cheating on my test!" Spitfire shouted as she came stomping into the classroom.

The other ponies all did as she asked, throwing their notes and study books into the trash bin. Rainbow Dash didn't have anything; Spitfire came by her desk as she eyed her. "Hey Rainbow Dash, just because you're pregnant doesn't mean I'll go easy on you."

"You better not! After I give birth, I'll be one hundred twenty percent ready to be a Wonderbolt!" Rainbow snapped back.

"You better."

Spitfire then slammed a packet of paper onto Rainbow Dash's desk; the captain of the Wonderbolts trotted to the front of the classroom, turned around, and shouted, "now listen up! This multiple choice test will determine if you understand the pride and history of what it means to be a Wonderbolt! The test has twenty questions, and you need at least a seventy-five percent to pass! You have one hour, and pencils go down when the time's up. Is that clear!"

"Yes, mam!" everypony shouted at once.

"Now, there will be no cheating or talking if you wish to use the bathroom; it's too late now! You should've gone before we took the test."

The other test takers groaned, and Rainbow Dash gulped, feeling a pang in her bladder. Still, she held her "pee" and concentrated on the test, trying to ignore her bodily functions. But her need to pee continued to grow inside her and what was worse was her tired brain seemed unable to concentrate on the answers below. She could feel sweat going down her forehead and knew that she would fail. Rainbow Dash decided she'll just guess and hope she'll pass at this point. The mare looked down at the first question on her test.

1. When were the Wonderbolts formed?

A The Anniversary of the First Annual Celestial Year of Peace
B First Annual Wonderbolt Day
C General Firefly's Birthday!
D The First Nightmare's Night

Rainbow Dash scratched her chin with a hoof and grumbled, "I'm sure Twilight mentioned this? But what was the answer!" The daredevil pounded her hoof to her head, trying to remember what she said. Eventually, she gave up, slamming her hooves over her face as she took her pencil into her mouth and grumbled, "I think it's C Firefly's birthday."

She was going to bubble in an answer, then she heard a thump. Rainbow Dash paused as she looked down and wondered…Did one of my foals kick?

Rainbow Dash looked around and seeing nopony else, she seemed to hear what she just heard or felt. She was going to bubble in the answer again. She listened to another Thump. The mare then trialed her pencil down to the other solutions, D and B, received thumps against her belly. Then when he put her pencil on A, nothing happened. Rainbow Dash then bent her pencil to the answer and bubbled it in. She realized that the foals were wearing her of bubbling in the wrong answer! But her foals may have remembered!? But how would they know what she's talking about? How would they even know why she was taking this test? Is she just overthinking things!?

Rainbow Dash gulped, being instead worried as she realized she hadn't answered a single answer and looking up at the clock, she had half an hour to finish. The only way she'll pass is if she can hope her babies can help her "cheat" she then bent down over her paper and started to bubble in the answers listening to her foals' kicks.

As the test finished, Spitfire took the papers and then went to the front of the class as she graded them one by one, taking a red marker to grade the test papers in front of them. Rainbow Dash twiddled her hooves, waiting impatiently as Spitfire rose up and handed the papers out like an angry teacher. When she approached Rainbow, she eyed her and snapped, "you didn't cheat, did you?"

"N…no! Of course not!?" Rainbow cried out; she wasn't lying, seeing going off her babies kicks to answer the test isn't technically cheating.

Spitfire then placed the papers down on her desk, and Rainbow's eyes went wide, seeing a big red 100% on her test. Rainbow flipped through the packet and saw that she got every question right.

"Well, welcome to Reserves Rainbow Dash! After the Equestria Games and after you give birth, I hope that we'll see you on flying alongside with us!"

"Of course!" Rainbow squeaked, being somewhat surprised as she rose up from her desk and flew out of the schoolhouse, still being instead embarrassed her foals passed her test for her. As she came out of the building, Winter turned her attention to the daredevil mare and asked, "so, how did you do?"

Rainbow Dash decided to prank her marefriend a little just for fun as she placed a hoof over her eyes and groaned, "oh, you don't want to know!"

"Come on, it can't be that bad," Winter meeped, looking somewhat concerned.

Rainbow placed the papers into the innards of her wings, which made Winter get rather peeved. "Oh, come on! Stop being so stubborn!"

"No, you can't; it's horrible! I think they'll kick me out of the Reserves! My dreams of being a Wonderbolt are dashed!" Rainbow cried out, dramatically flopping down on the clouds below.

Winter then flew over as she took the paper from the wings and looked over the grade and her heart seemed to stop as she gasped, "you got a hundred!"

"Yeah, can you believe it!?" Rainbow dash burst out with a smile.

"That's amazing!" Winter squealed as she flew over and hugged Rainbow Dash, and they embraced each other, wrapping each other in their wings. They held each other for sometime as Rainbow did feel relieved believing from this point forward it'll be smooth sailing.

Just then Derpy clumsily flew down over the two pegasi and took out two letters. "Um…Rainbow Dash?"

"Yeah, it's me; just hoof me the letters Derpy," the daredevil grumbled, being rather grumpy with the moment between her and Winter now interrupted. She took the letters from Derpy's hooves and looked over a scroll that looked like one of Twilight's old friendship lessons. She untied the red ribbon around the parchment and unfurled the scroll, which exploded with flame, making her wince. As the fire faded she then began to read.

Good Morning

I Comet have come to say that it is time for us to discuss the future of the goddess Phoenix. I know you previously said that you decided on being the mother and raising our goddess in Ponyville; however, we must come to inspect your household and your town later this Friday. I look forward to visiting you and seeing your world.

Sincerely

Captain Comet

Rainbow Dash groaned as she wasn't looking forward to being inspected that she was going to be a mother. She then opened the other letter (a bright pink envelope), and this second letter exploded with confetti. The pegasus spat the confetti out and started to read.

Good Morning, Rainbow Dash!

You're invited to your own baby shower this Friday! We have everypony coming, including Winter's friends!

Love your super excited best friend, your foals auntie, and your soon-to-be bride's maid.

Pinkie Pie!

Rainbow Dash felt the anxiety and stress this morning coming over her again! Not only was this Captain Comet coming to inspect her home! She fell into Winter's hooves as she looked right into her eyes and said. "Hey, what's the matter?"

"I have a baby shower with Pinkie Pie on the same day when I have to have this Captain Comet come over!?"

Winter brushed Rainbow's mane out of her eyes; she said, "well, I'll be here for that, and I'm sure Comet will love seeing that her goddess will grow up here in Ponyville."

Rainbow Dash gulped as she knew there wasn't much to worry about overall. Still, she wasn't feeling reassured by Pinkie Pie's antics, self-doubt, and worrying about the embarrassing presents she'll receive from this "baby shower," she wasn't feeling reassured. But…looking back over at the 100% on her test, seeing that she can get over this one if she can get through this second mountain with the help of Winter and her foals.

Chapter Eleven: The Phoenixoplis inspection / Babyshower

View Online

The two mares spent all day cleaning up the house, tidying up the place, and most importantly, making sure the nursery was perfect; they were going around sprucing things up, making sure all the toys were cleaned up, and finishing up a few touches to the nursery itself making sure that it was well cleaned and ready for the soon to be born goddess. As Rainbow Dash was tidying up the room, she could feel her babies kicking a lot more, and it was almost touching seeing that they wanted to be in their room soon.

"You can feel them, huh?"

Rainbow turned to face her marefriend, who looked rather happy with a smile on her face. She wasn't worried and seemed excited to be a mother along with Rainbow Dash.

The daredevil trotted over to the goddess and said, "Hey, have you considered after all of this is over…."

"We get married?" Winter asked with a squeak, clapping her hooves over her face.

Rainbow just kissed her on the lips then that was when they both heard a knock at the door. The two pegasi stopped and flew over, and then Rainbow Dash brushed her mane back and tried to look more presentable. Winter waited for the signal, and Rainbow Dash took a few deep breaths calming herself as she nodded toward Winter. The mare then slowly opened the door, and standing there was Comet with her dark orange coat, fiery yellow and red mane that flowed behind her, and sporting her regal golden plated armor.

The mare looked rather sharp as she strolled into Rainbow Dash's home, admiring things with a smile. "You have a lovely home."

"Uh, thanks?" Rainbow replied with a somewhat worried look; she slowly trotted over alongside Comet trying to keep pace with her. The captain then turned around and said, "I have to admit the society of Phoenixoplis is very similar to yours here in Ponyville."

"I guess that's not too surprising, but what do you think of it here?" Rainbow asked, getting abit suspicious of what she'll say in response.

"Oh, it's amazing; the ponies here are rather welcoming," Comet said with a cheerful smile on her face.

She then trotted through the halls of the quaint little home that was mostly made of clouds. Rainbow Dash slowly trotted behind her. They eventually ended up at the nursery, where she looked inside and gasped upon seeing the room and clapped her hooves over her mouth. "This is amazing! The goddess Phoenix will love it here!"

"Thanks," Rainbow Dash replied rather sheepishly as Comet inspected the nursery.

Comet trotted around the room with a smile as she went over to Winter and said, "well, I assume the reason you're the reason that our goddess will have a sister?"

"Yes," Winter squeaked, feeling rather proud of herself.

"Care to explain how you and Rainbow Dash might have conceived another child?" Comet asked in a rather suspicious tone.

Rainbow paused this conversation as she knew how Winter got her pregnant but kept her mouth shut, letting Winter explain. The goddess cleared her throat and said, "that is a private matter, but I can alter my genitalia."

Both Rainbow and Comet were surprised at what she said. Winter cleared her throat as she turned to face Rainbow with an embarrassed look. Rainbow Dash shot her a smile, trying to show she knew that was the case for a while and there was no reason to feel bad about it.

Comet looked somewhat confused then, shook her head then, and said, "ok, I get it."

"Well, I think that the Phoenixoplis empire is still wary of having the goddess of fire have a goddess of ice as a sister," Comet explained; this left the two mares both looking somewhat worried for a moment before the general continued, "But I feel that as far you and Rainbow Dash seem to be fit enough to care for our goddess. I will need to talk to others who can vouch for you."

"Of course, we will, "Winter replied sternly under her breath.

"Alright, well then there won't be any problems; now I heard that there would be a baby shower?" the mare asked.

"Yes, and there we will show that we are more than capable of raising our foals," Rainbow growled as she was getting rather peeved at the notion of the baby shower she didn't want.

"Well, there's no time like the present," Comet chirped as she then led the others towards the front door, where she and the other pegasi then flew off towards Ponyville.

Later that afternoon, both Rainbow Dash and Winter were now at Sugarcube Corner, which was full of rainbow-colored balloons and streamers, and there was a long table full of presents at the back of the room. It was a lot to take in all at once, seeing not only all her friends but also some strange ponies she'd never seen before. They were all over the place, seeming to be having a good time and enjoying the party. However, Rainbow Dash's head was swaying as she was looking for Pinkie Pie and trying to see if she was still around, hoping that maybe she was sick or out on a trip.

A giant explosion came with a rain of rainbow-colored streamers over her. Rainbow Dash turned to see the pink-coated mare hopping over with an exciting look as she shouted, "happy baby shower, Rainbow Dash!"

The pegasus groaned as she rolled her eyes and looked over at Pinkie Pie and grumbled under her breath, "hey, Pinkie."

Comet looked over with a smirk and asked, "so this is Pinkie Pie?"

"Oh hello its nice to meet you! I heard you were a mysterious pegasus whose come to inspect us! So I'll say that Ponyville is the best place in the entire world, and you couldn't find a better place to raise foals!"

Winter quickly pushed Pinkie aside and promptly added, "yes, but we also understand it's up for Comet to decide that, not us."

Rainbow Dash threw her wings over her eyes feeling somewhat embarrassed and concerned over Pinkie Pie's actions. But she then turned to see that Comet was standing by with a smile on her face. She looked rather amused and didn't seem annoyed with Pinkie's antics, and it gave her hope that they could get through the rest of the day without too much problem.

Rainbow Dash then looked over and saw that her other friends were all eating cake and enjoying the rock music playing in the background. The mare saw that Pinkie had set the place up for her, with Wonderbolt-style table cloth over the tables. She noticed the presents on the table wrapped in yellow and blue wrapping paper, waiting for her to open. The entire place was decorated as if it was her birthday, yet it wasn't; this was, in fact, a celebration for her foals and the fact she persevered through this pregnancy. It was rather uplifting, and she had to admit Pinkie did a pretty good job setting up a baby shower.

"Oh yes, darling, we understand, but Rainbow Dash's foals will get the finest clothes a foal could ask for," Rarity chimed as she trotted over with a smile on her face.

Comet looked around and smiled at the fashionista. "Well, it's nice to see you, another of Rainbow's friends?"

"Yes, and it's great to meet you finally," The captain replied as she shook the mare's hoof.

The two soon seemed to get into a conversation Rainbow Dash then took the opportunity and trotted over to her friends and tried to get involved with some meaningless discussions. She wanted to get through this and then go home and relax with Winter. But then she turned her head to see two other ponies come in through the doors. Upon seeing the cheerful middle-aged pegasi, she recognized them as her parents! Bow Hothoof and Windy Whistles.

The daredevil slammed a hoof into her face and tried to hide her face with her wings. "Oh no! They're here!"

"Oh, are they your parents?" Winter asked, looking rather curious and excited as she hadn't met them yet.

"Yes," Rainbow Dash mumbled under her breath as she saw her parents making a beeline toward them. The daredevil was then bombarded by their platitudes at them and how "she's the best looking pregnant mare ever!"

What made all of their embarrassing gestures were what Comet would be thinking. The daredevil looked over to see that Comet was nearby, unable to stop herself from snickering from behind a hoof. It was too much to take in and endure with Rainbow using all her willpower to prevent herself from bursting out in anger.

"So why didn't you ever tell me that you were pregnant!?" Windy asked rather cheerfully.

"You know why!? Because you two would be coming to my house every five seconds!" Rainbow shouted back.

Winter nudged her, then said, "well, unlike Rainbow, I'm happy to see you two."

Bow came over and held out a hoof. "Well, you're a part of the family now! Bring it here!"

Winter squealed in delight as she hugged Rainbow's dad. Rainbow relented her anger seeing her parents doting on her marefriend. As the daredevil endured more embarrassment from her parents. Three other pegasi came through the doors; one was Spring with her elegant green coat, her long braided blonde mane with birds chirping and butterflies fluttering around her. She trotted right past Winter, not acknowledging her as she threw Rainbow Dash a present. "I only came because it's my duty to acknowledge the birth of the new goddesses."

"Thanks," the daredevil grumbled under her breath as Spring trotted off. Rainbow Dash tossed her present among the rest of the packages. She then looked over at orange-coated pegasi with dark brown eyes. A dark red and gold striped mane that flowed from her head. She strolled in with fall leaves swirling around her as she sucked down on a pumpkin spice latte (the aroma wafting from it made Rainbow Dash drool as she hadn't had coffee in some time.) She seemed to be somewhat lethargic as she trotted over and hugged Winter.

"Hey, Winter, it's so good to see you."

Winter nuzzled Autumn, turned to face Rainbow, and said, "Hey, let me introduce my sister Autumn; she's much nicer than Spring."

"Yes, I apologize for Spring's behavior she can be quite a bitch," Autumn explained as she shook Rainbow's hoof, who smiled as she was given a package in the shape of a book. Rainbow Dash just gave a long exasperated sigh, "Oh great, another egghead."

"Oh, you got Rainbow a book! I got her one too!" Twilight chirped as she trotted over, and the two soon talked about books, and Rainbow couldn't help snicker seeing how similar the two were; then another pegasus came forward with a sandy coat and a bright shiny blue mane with dark, beautiful blue eyes. As the rather spunky mare fluttered over the smell of sea water wafted over Rainbow making her feel at ease thinking of crashing waves on a sandy beach. The mare trotted over to Winter and exclaimed, "Hey Winter! What's up!"

"Hey, Summer," Winter sighed as she hugged her other sister. After they broke off Summer threw a package of swim diapers and a beach ball to Rainbow. "Hey, I got ya some stuff for your kids."

"Thanks," Rainbow snickered, putting the stuff to the side as she came over. "So your Summer, huh?" she started to see that this mare, in particular, was much more like her compared to the others.

"Yeah, that's me! I know you're still pregnant and all, but after your rugrats are born, why not we go and have a beach party?"

"Sure, that sounds like fun!"

Winter blushed as she lowered her face. "Yes, that would be interesting, but I would be in the shade most of the time."

Rainbow Dash nudged her marefriend as she said, "yeah, of course, that's fine I mean we can build sandcastles and eat icecream."

Winter bowed her head seeming to not want to continue arguing about this beach party. They then went to the table full of presents, and Rainbow Dash went about opening the presents and guessing which guest gave it to her. There were different kinds of diapers from Pinkie Pie, her parents, and various other ponies who seemed to didn't know what to get her for a baby shower, adorable onesies designed by Rarity, a book on parenting from Twilight, a storybook for the foals from Autumn, a rocking horse handmade by Applejack, a pretty mobile with butterflies and rainbows crafted by Fluttershy, some naturally made formula from Spring (which Rainbow Dash was planning to toss out as soon as she can). After a long exhausting, embarrassing day, she trotted out of Sugarcube Corner and the daredevil mare couldn't but feel relieved seeing the sun setting in the distance. Rainbow Dash turned to face Comet. With her parents being rather uncomfortable and her friend's antics, she hoped that didn't sway Comet's opinion on Ponyville or her as a parent. Bu to Rainbow's surprised the warrior bowed and said, "well I have to say Ponyville is amazing, and despite being rather unorthodox citizens, I believe that our goddess is in good hooves."

"Thank you," Rainbow sighed in relief. She watched Comet fly off before she herself was escorted back to her house above Ponyville with the help of Winter. She then went to her bed, plopped down, and gave a long deep sigh, "well, that's that. I have nothing to feel bad or nervous now; now all she had to worry about was the birth itself and getting these foals out of me now." She winced just thinking about the birthing process and said, "that'll be rather painful from what I heard from my mother."

"You'll be fine. I'll be there with you the entire time," Winter whispered as she trotted over and then laid in the bed with Rainbow Dash. They didn't do much as Rainbow Dash cuddled next to her marefriend and slowly fell into a deep and peaceful sleep.

Chapter Twelve: After the birth...

View Online

Another few months later…

It has been a few days since she gave birth, and Rainbow Dash looked relatively comfortable as she was relaxing on her bed. The daredevil mare was taking in the fresh air, and she was feeling a rather pleasant morning. The feeling of all those aches and pains was gone, and the horrible experience of childbirth was finally past. She delivered two healthy babies into the world. She felt somewhat relieved from the entire process and experienced swearing to never do it again. In fact, she told Winter specifically that if they want more foals, she’ll be the one to carry them to term. She looked down over her admiring her now belly being flat, and her teats were still bulbous, but they were much smaller and much more normal looking than before. The filly then heard sounds coming from the kitchen and slowly made her way down the hall. There was her daughter Snow Angel in the kitchen with her pristine white coat and with a stubby rainbow mane of icy blue and light purple, and her sister Phoenix. The latter had a fiery orange fur, but she looked like a picture-perfect sunny day with a soft yellow and white mix of a mane. The filly was somewhat eccentric, bouncing up and down and making cute babbling noises. While Snow Angel was much more relaxed, still looking rather sleepy as she continued to chomp on her foal smeared and smearing some of it on her tray. Despite hating being pregnant, seeing her lovely foals and how their personalities were already showing made her so proud. She then slowly trotted over, giving her daughters a kiss on their foreheads; then she heard.

“Hey, Rainbow! Glad to see you're finally up!” Winter chirped as she was busy spoon-feeding them baby oatmeal, with Phoenix getting hot sauce mixed with hers while Snow Angel got melted ice cream.

Rainbow Dash looked over and said, “Hey, looks like they’re changed and fed?”

“Yup, and your mom came by dropping off some of the stuff she had when you were a foal.”

Rainbow rolled her eyes as she turned to see that all of her family was there. Her parents lying together on a couch, sleeping together. She then noticed that Summer and Autumn were outside playing volleyball. Having lived alone for so long all this company over wasn’t something she was used to but it was welcoming.

“So, are we going to miss the Equestria games?” Winter asked with her cheeks flushing pink.

Rainbow scoffed, “ya kidding me? I might not be competing, but I’m sure going to go support Ponyville. Let’s get going; we don’t want to be late!”

“Well, ok…” Winter snickered, not wanting to mention that it was already past noon and everypony was waiting for her.

Rainbow Dash quickly got out of a stroller packing the foals as her parents woke up and started to embarrass her about how motherly she looked. The daredevil did her best to ignore them as she made her way out of the house and onto the clouds outside. She stretched her body, still loving her average body back where she saw that Summer and Autumn fly over. She loved Winter’s sisters, giving them both a hug as they congratulated her and gave her foals a few nuzzles.

Rainbow Dash looked around and said, “well, guess everyone is here except Spring.”

“Oh yeah, she was here for the birth but left again; just give her time she’ll come around,” Summer added; she then nudged Rainbow Dash as they flew off together to the Crystal Empire.

The entire family was sitting back and relaxing as Winter held Snow Angel having her suckle down a bottle. Rainbow Dash had Phoenix in her hooves doing the same. She settled into her seat, watching Scootlaoo and her friends come out and waving the flag for Ponyville and then watching the rest of the games. Rainbow Dash found a ton of them boring, from archery to jousting, hoof racing, rodeo, and then the relay race. She couldn’t help but cheer on Derpy, Bulk Biceps, and Fluttershy, making up the Ponyville team, and felt proud seeing them get the gold medal. While Cloudsdale came in a close second with the help of Soarin. Despite all of battling her pregnancy and feeling so tired and exhausted, hating her body, and how she was still nervous about being a mother. She couldn’t help but see she had a lot of impact on helping Derpy and Soarin overcome their shortcomings in teaching them how to fly better and helping Scotaloo overcome her anxiety about not being able to fly. She didn’t realize it, but tears were coming down her eyes as she watched the closing ceremonies with Bulk Biceps, Fluttershy, and Derpy being rewarded with their medals and Soarin getting his silver. Winter nuzzled her and whispered, “Is something wrong?”

Rainbow just looked right into her eyes, and she couldn’t help but feel a swelling of love overcome her. She loved Winter so much, being there throughout her pregnancy and keeping her from losing her mind. These achievements wouldn’t have been possible without her support, and she was looking forward to raising her foals with her. Rainbow then bent her head into Winter’s face and kissed her on the lips; the two held that embrace for some time even as the Games ended, and it was the crying of their foals got them to stop. They then got up to take the foals to get changed, get ready to get some food and get a room at the palace, seeing it was getting late. Rainbow Dash and Winter trotted off side by side with the stroller in the middle as they trotted off from the grounds towards the palace.
