When Steel takes the concept of discipline too far, it puts Nate, the Gold Ranger in trouble and the only one who can stop him is...Fluttershy?
Fluttershy is trying to get her animal friends to work on the choreography for Twilight’s coronation in Canterlot, and is trying to reminisce her moments without Starlight and Spike being seen, which proves to be a tough task for her. At the same time, Steel is learning the concept of discipline, and is starting to use it toward others. However, the learning of the concept is taken too far, when a robotron created by the Storm King brainwashes Nate into doing his master plans for an upcoming creation using an infected hand puppet.
This makes the Gold Ranger Public Enemy No. #1 for his friends, and their allies as they have to fight him. However, while the rangers have an array of weapons, and Armor at their fingertips, there may be one hero with the skills and knowledge to stop him. One hero who has a kind heart of bravery, and that has fought alongside the rangers. And, that hero is...Fluttershy? It’s the Element of Kindness Vs. The Gold Ranger! Who will win?
Continuity: Beast Morphers - Takes place during “The Blame Game” My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic - A rewrite of the season 10 episode, “Memnagerie,” so most of this will probably not be canon.

It was a nice day outside at Coral Harbor park. The rangers were playing some football catch together, and it looked like the day couldn't get any better, as they threw the ball to each other and were having a great time. Ravi threw it to Nate, who then threw it to Devon, then Ben, then Zoey, and then, Steel, as he caught the ball triumphantly.
"And, touchdown!" The Beast Bot said, as they cheered. "Right? That's how it works?" The rangers were about to enjoy another game. Things were going well.
Well, except for Fluttershy, who was already at the park, trying to get some of the geese to practice the choreography for Twilight's coronation in Canterlot. So far, it wasn't going well for her.
"Eloise, Hubert, we've barely practiced for the coronation at all today." She tried to reason with them. "How can you be tired already?" The geese just squawked in frustration, as they wanted their food. Fluttershy luckily got out a bowl of greens for them to happily munch on.
She arrived to one of the doves. "Any luck with the rest of the flock, Josephine?" She kindly asked. The dove just pointed up to the other doves, who were just flying frantically, as it flew up. Fluttershy was already getting worried about her animal friends, that she wouldn't get anything done in time.
"Hi, Fluttershy." Zoey said as the pegasus turned to see her. She yelped, as she fell on her behind.
"Oh, Zoey you scared me." she said, shaking nervously.
"Oh, sorry." Zoey said, quickly. "Did you still want me to see the rehearsal?"
"I do, but I don't know what's gotten into everyone. Getting them to practice has been a real challenge. And the choreography for the coronation is very specific." Fluttershy said worriedly, as they dodged to dove herd briefly. "I hope we have enough time to get it all down."
"I'm sure that whatever you have planned, there's no one better for the job than you." Zoey said, confidently.
"I hope so. At least things have been better with you guys fighting the Storm King ever since you got the Green Ranger in your side. And, Angel seems to have a handle on the butterflies and hummingbirds." The kind pegasus said, as her pet bunny, Angel was holding up a flower. But, he ducked behind her as the butterflies went right for him.
"Or maybe not." Fluttershy said sadly. "I'm already nervous about the performance, and this isn't helping." She sighed in defeat. "I just don't understand why no one will listen."
"Do you think the animals might be picking up on your stage fright?" Zoey asked her. "I remember how much of an issue that's been for you."
"I guess that might be why none of the animals are responding to me." Fluttershy said in realization. "I hoped having you here might inspire them, but that doesn't seem to be the case." The doves flew over them briefly again, as they dodged them again. "I know I should get tough with them, but it's just so hard."
As she was talking to her friend, a little girl was enjoying a sandwich on the bench with her father, as they saw the game the teens were playing. She unwrapped the sandwich, thew the wrapping on the ground. The father noticed her doing that and frowned slightly. "What do you think you're doing, young lady?" He asked, calm but strict.
Fluttershy took notice and saw the father scold his daughter. "Like that." She said, as she pointed to what she saw unfold. Unbeknownst to her, Steel was watching the same thing too.
"You can't just toss your trash on the ground." The father continued to say to her. "I want you to pick up 3 extra pieces of trash. Right now. Go on."
"Aw, Dad." The girl said, as she put her sandwich down to do the chore her father told her to. As she did that, Steel was a little confused about all this.
"Wow." Steel said, as Fluttershy and the others took notice. "That's one mean father, punishing the poor kid."
"Not at all." Nate said, trying to help him understand. "He's just teaching her a lesson so that next time, she won't litter."
"So...it's a good thing?" The bot asked confused.
"It's called 'Discipline.'" Ravi said to him.
"It's basically the practice of training people to obey rules or a code of behavior, using punishment to correct disobedience." Ben added, as Ravi nodded.
"Been there, done that." Devon said in agreement. "When I acted up, my parents punished me by making me pull weeds in the yard. It straightened me up fast." They then started to get back to their game...except for Fluttershy that is, as she wanted to further explain this new concept to him.
"Steel, discipline isn't a bad thing." She reasoned to him. "It can be good to teach many to learn about what to do next time. Nothing wrong about that."
"So, people use punishment to teach each other lessons, Fluttershy?" Steel asked.
"Of course." The kind pegasus said. "It helps people to make the right choice in the future, as to not repeat that mistake again."
"Interesting..." Steel thought, intrigued about learning the concept of discipline more.
Meanwhile in the Crystal dimension, Vaygoyle was busy getting his plan working on the Morph-X laptop, ready to construct his new plan, when Robo-Blaze, Robo-Roxy, & Grubber came in. Blaze was already carrying a pink paper bag.
"Vargoyle!" Robo-Blaze said, as the robot turned to face them enter.
"Well, it's about time!" The metal dreadlock robot said in glee and seriousness. "I've been waiting all day! Did you get what I need?"
"Yeah, we got it." Robo-Roxy said as Robo-Blaze opened the bag, and handed the puppet to him. "Your precious puppet."
Grubber managed to snicker as he saw the color of the bag. "Shut up! It's not that funny!" The Amber-suited robot said to him seriously, which made him stop snickering.
At that moment, The Storm King and his lieutenant, Tempest Shadow came in as well. "Get to work!" The Storm King ordered.
"At once, your Storminess!" Vargoyle said, as he got out a creation key ready.
"Remember...our target is the Gold Ranger." Tempest said to him. "We can't afford any mistakes." She snarled under her breath, "Not since that new Green Ranger interfered."
The robot plugged the key into the puppet, making it transform into a Manta Ray-like blue and red-colored Robotron with a black and white puppet.
He jumped before the new legion. "Controlatron is ready to get this puppet show going!" He introduced himself. "Who do I get to play with?"
"Ah, that's easy." Grubber said to him. "Your target is at Grid Battleforce!"
"I was going to say that." Tempest snarled under her breath, as Grubber looked nervous at her. "Sorry." He confessed.
"No matter." Tempest said, as she turned to them. "Blaze! Roxy! Grubber! Take him!" She commanded.
"Yes, Tempest!" Robo-Blaze said, as all three of them started to teleport.
"The fun begins!" Controlatron said in glee, as they teleported away to get to Grid Battleforce. That destination was their next target, as the Gold Ranger was the next Prime target for their new plan.
The 6 Power Rangers and Fluttershy had arrived back at the base, and were waiting in line to get checked in. Fluttershy was a little nervous, however. But, she knew it was procedure. After the person got scanned permission, the other one was scanned in, and was just about to go in, when suddenly, the unexpected happened.
“WHOA! Hold up!” Steel said, stopping the employee from entering. “What do you think you’re doing?”
The scanner employee was confused. “I’m sorry. Is something wrong?” He asked.
“You were going to let this worker walk in without scanning her package!” Steel explained bluntly. “THAT is against the rules!”
“No. No.” He started. “Toni works here. And, that’s just her lunch.” He motioned to the item Toni was holding.
“We’ll see about that!” Steel said skeptically, as the worker opened the box, revealing to be her lunch. “Oh, right.” He let her go.
“We were lucky this time, but Battleforce rules clearly state that all packages must be inspected.” The Beast Bot looked at the worker’s name tag. “...Cole.”
“You’re right, Mr. Steel.” Cole said. “I’m really sorry.”
“Sorry ISN’T going to cut it!” Steel said seriously. The others were watching surprised and confused. “To Learn your lesson, you need a punishment! He pointed to the mobile sweeper. “Go, and sweep the plaza outside the building! Right now!”
Cole nodded and went to the sweeper. “Um....maybe you’re being a little harsh, Steel?” Fluttershy asked nervously, because she cringed at Steel’s serious voice. “I know Zoey is teaching you discipline, but this isn’t like you.” Zoey nodded in agreement.
“Hey, Steel has a point.” Ravi told them. “Rules are rules.”
“It’s okay.” Cole said, with the sweeper. “I accept my punishment. Working at Grid Battleforce is a dream come true for me. So, I promise I won’t make the same mistake again.”
“Good!” Steel said, as Cole left to do his duty.
The others were still shocked at their friends’ recent change in behaviour, as they exchanged glances of nervousness. Ben walked up to him. “Steel, just for my own piece of mind, I’m not so sure that was even necessary.” He said. “I mean, Betty and my Dad is sometimes strict, but...”
“Maybe, you might be going overboard?” Devon asked, as the others nodded.
“Nonsense.” Steel answered. “I call it a lesson learned.” And left for the lab.
The others were a little unsure about this as they followed suit too. “I think Steel has much work to do on the concept of discipline.” Fluttershy said, as they nodded.
As Cole was about to sweep the plaza floor outside, four figures were ready to execute their plan...namely, Robo-Blaze, Robo-Roxy, Controlatron and Grubber.
“Great!” The robotron said. “I’ve got the Gold Ranger’s gift already prepared!” He handed them a puppet that looked exactly like Nate.
“A virus-infected puppet...” Blaze said, as he looked at it. “Very Nice.”
“As soon as he touches it, he’ll be controlled by me, the Puppet Master!” Controlatron Said, as he cackled evilly. “And, we’ll use this one to get it too him!” He handed them a puppet looking exactly like Cole!
“Go do your thing.” Robo-Roxy said sweetly to him, as Robo-Blaze nodded and while Cole wasn’t looking, put the box with the Nate puppet right by the plaza he was sweeping, with the Cole puppet in the margin of said plaza square.
Cole noticed the puppet, as he swept. “Aw.” He said. “Now, that’s kind of cute.” He picked up the puppet, and as soon as he did that, the puppet went into him, and Cole was now under control of the puppet.
“He’s all mine now!” Controlatron said excitedly as he moved his puppet on his hand, making Cole mimic the actions of him. “Now back, and right, and back!”
“Shh! Will you be quiet!” Grubber barked quietly.
“Oh, Sorry, Grubber!” He said, as he controlled Cole to get the package.
“Yeah, you are.” Grubber said, as he sulked.
“Now, be a good delivery boy, and give this package to the Gold Ranger!” The robotron said, as the controlled Cole went inside to help the villain do the deed.
As he went inside, he was able to pass through by his fellow workers, and his way into the lab.
In the lab, Nate was testing a brand new invention. It looked like an arrow, and it already had gorilla and jackrabbit DNA imprinted on it. As Cole came in, he put it down. “Is that for me?” He asked quizzically.
“Special delivery for Nate Silva.” Cole just said, monotone-like, and exited the lab.
“Weird. I’m not expecting anything.” Nate said, as he inspected it. “Who’s it from?” But, Cole had already left before he could ask.
He opened the box, and saw the puppet. “A hand puppet?” He asked. “It kind of looks like...” but, the puppet had already gone into him, and he was now being controlled!
Meanwhile at Riptide Gym, the 3 rangers, Beast Bot, Pegasus, and alicorn filly, Cozy Glow were hanging out, ordering some fruit smoothies.
"Hey, guys." Steel said as they saw him at the table.
"Golly, what took you so long, Steel?" Cozy asked. "Where's Nate?"
"He's working in the lab." Steel answered, as he joined them. "And, I've been busy trying to help better my fellow humans."
"Ahem!" Cozy cleared her throat and signify her and Fluttershy's presence.
"Oh." Steel said, accidentally. "..and ponies."
"Meaning what exactly?" Zoey asked, uneasy.
"Well, let's see..." Steel started to explain. "First I caught some technicians driving their cart too fast through the base."
Back at the Grid Battleforce hangar, a few workers were driving their cart to get to more tasks, and were just about to cross though, had Steel not stopped them.
”Whoa. Whoa. Whoa!” Steel said in a serious tone. “STOP! Over the speed limit, aren’t we? You can think about that, while you’re cleaning the toilets!” He strictly pointed to said lavatory items to the technicians.
"Then, another technician had untied shoelaces." Steel continued.
As one of the workers was entering, Steel stopped her with his hand up. “HALT!” He said, as he pointed to the untied shoelaces. “The rules clearly state why THAT is a tripping hazard! Fix them!” The worker did so, as he saw her tie her shoelaces.
Fluttershy and Cozy both gasped in shock at what Steel was telling them, and how he was trying to 'better' the workers there. "And how did you punish them?" Devon asked. "Clean your zord with a cotton swab?" He and Ravi shared a giggle at that.
“Don’t be ridiculous!” Steel said to them. “I TOLD her to use a sponge!” Just then, as the server was serving their drinks, Steel noticed the waiter had gum sticking out from his mouth.
“Well, I never! Is that GUM in your mouth?!” Steel asked, as he pointed to the server’s mouth.
“Uh...yeah.” The server said.
“It’s AGAINST to chew gum in the gym!” Steel pointed out strongly, as he got out a napkin for him. “Spit it out! Go on!”
The server spit the gum out. “Sorry?” He asked.
“Steel.” Fluttershy started to say with a calm, but serious tone in her voice.
“Sorry isn’t enough!” Steel barked to the server, completely ignoring Fluttershy.
“Steel...” Cozy started to say kindly.
“As a punishment...” Steel continued. “How about...”
“Steel!" Fluttershy said, on almost shouting level. “That’s enough!!!”
“Thanks, Fluttershy.” Devon said, before turning to the waiter. “That‘ll be all. Thanks.” The waiter left the table, while the others wanted to talk with Steel about his recent actions about discipline.
“Okay, as your friend, this is too much. Even for you.” Zoey started to say.
“Cram it, Zoey.” Steel put in. “I’m just doing the right thing.”
“What is wrong with you?!” Fluttershy spat out in shock. “You're acting so assertive, which is not so normal for you!”
“Well, whatever do you mean?” Steel asked confused. “This is just me being me.”
“No, it's not!” Fluttershy started raising her voice. “It's you being like me when I was assertive!” She covered her mouth in shock, as she realized that she said something that sparked up a memory.
“Don’t you think you might be going overboard with enforcing the rules?” Cozy asked the bot.
“What are you talking about?” Steel asked. “I’m teaching everyone important lessons about rules and safety!”
“Yes, but that is making others feel small around you!” Fluttershy said, seriously again. “How would you like it if I yelled at you for making just a silly little mistake.”
“Well, I’d feel...” Steel started.
“Exactly!” Fluttershy interrupted. “Humiliated!”
“Well, I wouldn’t say that.” Steel said fully, as Fluttershy just seethed.
“Speaking of which...where were we exactly?” Zoey asked. “About being assertive?”
Fluttershy thought about it for a few moments, and finally realized where she was. “Oh yeah.” She said. “I know I should get tough with my animal friends, and I’m trying with Steel, but it's just so hard.”
Cozy gave her a reassuring pat. “Being assertive doesn't exactly come easy to you, but you've gotten so much better at it.” she said to her.
“It's hard to figure out how assertive to be.” Fluttershy said, feeling defeat and worry all at the same time.
“I'm sure you'll figure it out.” Ravi said, as the others...except Steel (because he needed to be taught a lesson) nodded. “When it comes to animals, you always do.”
“Plus, you have Angel helping, so...” Zoey started, just as the team got a call on their wristcoms. They answered it.
“Rangers...” Commander Shaw said on the wristcoms. “A robotron has been spotted outside the base.”
“Got it.” Devon said. “Have Nate meet us there.”
“Nate’s not answering his com.” The commander told him. “But, I’ve sent someone to find him.”
“Nate’s not answering his messages on his wristcom?” Cozy asked in worry. “That’s not like him to be late for such an emergency like this!”
“I concur.” Fluttershy added. “I know Nate is working on some new invention in the lab. But, this just doesn’t feel right.”
“Yeah.” Steel added. “Not even Nate would ignore a call like that.” Fluttershy and Cozy looked like they wanted to give him the stare.
“Copy that, Commander.” Devon said, as he wrapped up the call. “Come on!” The team got up and left the gym, and over to the scene of the crime. Little did they know, they would face not only a robotron, but a familiar face as well.
The rangers, Cozy & Fluttershy, minus Nate raced over to Grid Battleforce and arrived there in no time flat. They saw their friend leaving the building, already morphed.
“There’s Nate!” Cozy said, as they went up to him, but also saw Controlatron walking up to their friend. “Look!”
“Hey, Bro!” Steel said as he saw Nate walking up.
“Whoa! A robotron!” Devon said, as said robot came out to them as well.
The heroes approached the two, and saw the robotron coming right for Nate. “Watch out!” Steel said. But, however, the robotron’s puppet made the ranger bow to him, and he didn’t hurt him at all. “Hey, what are you doing?!” The Bot asked frantically.
The robotron quickly turned to the heroes, and saw that they meant business. “He’ll do whatever I tell him to!” Controlatron said to them. “Just like a good little puppet!”
“I’m a good little puppet.” Nate said under the robotron’s control.
“What are you talking about?” Ben asked.
“What have you done to our friend?” Cozy asked in horror.
“It’s show time!” Controlatron said, as the Gold ranger ran up to them. “Let’s play!”
Nate started this fight by kicking his own friends, but they dodged his kicks. He did however throw Devon to the ground, and he already grabbed Ravi.
“Stop! Don’t hurt him!” Zoey cried out. But, Nate was under the robot’s control.
“Stop, Bro!” Steel said in shock, as he too dodged Nate’s attacks.
“Don’t do this, Nate!” Ben said, as he dodged his attacks as well.
“Nate, we’re your friends!” Cozy said.
“Friends?” Nate said. “Controlatron is my friend. And by the way, the Princess girl is out!” He delivered a swift kick to Cozy’s gut, as she fell to the ground.
“Nate, NO!” Fluttershy said in sheer horror, as she tried to use the stare on him. But, Nate kicked her in the face, as she fell down.
“FLUTTERSHY!” Zoey said, as she Ben and Cozy rushed over to her quickly.
The kind Pegasus got up slowly, rubbing her eyes and watching this unfold horribly before her eyes. “Even my stare doesn’t work on him.” She said, disappointed.
“A punch and a kick!” Controlatron said, as Nate was ready to deliver the final blow, but his friends all regrouped, and were ready to fight the robotron.
The rouge ranger and playhouse-happy robotron regrouped as well. “There’s no point, rangers!” Controlatron said triumphantly. “I pull the strings on him now!” He waved his puppet, making Nate spin around once in victory and them pose!
Ben saw what was controlling him. “It’s the hand puppet!” He said in realization. “It’s controlling Nate’s moves!”
“If it is, then let’s put on our own show!” Cozy said, before turning to Devon. “Shall we?” She asked.
“Yes. Let’s! It’s Morphin’ Time!” Devon said, as they readied their Morphers. “ACTIVATE BEAST POWERS!” They shouted as they morphed into their ranger forms.
“UNLEASH THE BEAST!” The Red, Blue, Yellow, Silver and Green rangers, along with the alicorn filly and Element of Kindness said, introducing themselves to the robotron.
“TRONICS!” Nate said in a gladiator-like voice, striking a pose, as the tronics appeared right next to them, clumped.
“You heard the golden boy!” Controlatron instructed the tronics. “Fight!” The tronics ran up to them.
“Go, rangers!” Devon said, as they all went for the horde of tronics, throwing punches, zaps and kicks at them.
“Now, don’t hold back, Little Puppet!” Controlatron said, as Nate went after them, joining the fight.
Ravi, Steel, and Ben were dodging Nate’s attacks as Blue and Green jumped on trash bins, while Silver stayed on foot. “Calm down, Bro!” Steel said, trying to talk some sense into him.
“He can’t control himself!” Ben said, as the rangers were in a fierce conflict with their friend.
Controlatron was watching with glee as they saw the heroes fight their friend. “Destroy!” He said, waving his puppet. “They kick, they punch! What a show!” Steel, and Ben fell to the ground while Ravi stayed balanced to handle Gold ranger.
Meanwhile, Zoey, Cozy and Fluttershy were facing the tronic army as they jumped up and landed on a high surface. Cozy noticed a broom, and handed it to Zoey. “Here, Zoey!” She said. “Catch!”
“Thanks, Cozy!” Zoey said, as she took it and whaled the tronics with it, “This’ll sweep them up!” She swung the broom at them like a sledgehammer while Cozy and Fluttershy defected the tronics with their hooves.
Devon was taking on a few Tronics too as he kicked and punched them with pout even breaking a sweat! He was on a roll! Elsewhere, Silver, Blue and Green weren’t so lucky as Nate kicked them down. Devon still threw a few punches and kicks to the tronics, while Zoey, Cozy, and Fluttershy deflected them.
Blue, Silver and Green were having a tough time taking on their Gold friend, as he kept coming at them. “Nate!” Ravi said, as he tried to get him, but Nate had him in an iron grip.
“Gotcha!” Nate said, as he held him in his grip.
“Ravi!” Steel and Ben said as they both went for him, but Nate kicked them back and threw Ravi to the side.
The girl team, and Devon were just about wrapping up their battle with the tronics, as they knocked the last batch down. “And stay down!” Cozy said.
They then noticed their friends taking on their friend. “Come on!” Devon said. “We gotta help Nate!” The others nodded as they went right to him. However, Nate used his Striker Saber, to send Ben, Ravi and Steel down and out, just as they regrouped again.
“Are you okay?” Fluttershy asked, trying to get them back up, as Devon posed before the villain.
“Sorry, but it’s time for intermission!” Controlatron said. “Come with me! The Storm King has got bigger plans for you!” And he and Nate teleported away.
“No!” Devon said as they were gone.
“Oh, man!” Ben said in shock. “Nate’s completely under that robotron’s control!”
“We need to figure out how to stop it!” Steel said urgently.
“You think?!” The pony girls said angrily to him, shooting death glares.
“Let’s find out what happened.” Devon said as they all raced back to the base.
Back at the Crystal Dimension, Nate was busy typing up the final touches to the Storm King's secret weapon. The Storm King, Vargoyle, and Tempest were watching proudly as the Gold Ranger was working for them, as he was being controlled by Controlatron's hand puppet.
"Ah! Now you see?" The Storm King said in his glory. "This ranger here has the know-how to complete the programming for my secret project! And, Controlatron is making him do it!"
"Could any of you have made that happen?" Tempest asked, turning to the robots and hedgehog as they backed away in a little fear. "Blaze, Roxy, Grubber! You have continued to fail the master!"
"What?" Grubber asked. " Wasn't it we who..."
"And Volia!" Controlatron said, as Nate has finished up typing the programming needed for the secret weapon.
"The programming is complete." Nate droned mindlessly, as the two evil generals smiled.
"Excellent!" Tempest said, as she pushed Nate out of the way. "Soon, we'll move on to the next phase of our plan!" She then turned to the usual lackeys. "In the meantime, Golden boy can help us destroy his friends!"
"Good one, Tempest!" Vargoyle said, as he walked up to the computer. "You know what's better than a gigadrone attack? TWO gigadrones attacking!" He cackled evilly, as he punched the coordinates possible to get the two gigadrone ready. "None of the rangers will be able to escape destruction today!"
The next phase of the master plan would be ready in a moment's notice! But, in the meantime, the rangers HAD to figure out what happened to their golden friend, and how they could reverse it!
Part 3: The Element Of Kindness Vs. The Gold Ranger
Back at the Grid Battleforce base, the remaining 5 rangers, Cozy and Fluttershy were taking Cole to the lab. Steel already knew what Cole would be chewed out about on.
“I really think we should talk about this, Steel.” Cozy said, worriedly.
“Don’t you think you might be going overboard?” Fluttershy asked, worriedly as well.
“Absolutely not!” Steel said, serious. “The commander needs to know!”
As they were walking to the lab, Betty ran up to them. “Devon! Ben!” She said, urgently. “I think I saw Nate behind the base!”
“Really?” Ben asked, as his sister nodded. “Thanks!”
“We’ll check outside!” Devon said, as he and Ben rushed outside. “Come on, Ben!” Ben nodded as they went to find their friend.
Meanwhile in the lab, Commander Shaw took notice of the other heroes that entered. “What’s going on?” She asked.
“Commander, we have security footage of Cole taking an unscanned package into the building!” Steel said urgently. “It’s the second time today! Only this time, the package came from the Storm King!”
“It’s true.” Ravi said, as he pulled up the footage on the lab computer. “Watch.” The footage was playing, and what was being shown was no doubt the truth. It showed the brainwashed Cole taking the package into the building to give to Nate in the lab earlier today.
“Look! In his hands!” Steel said, as the video zoomed in to show the package. “See that? Cole walked through security without getting that package scanned!”
“And, that’s how Nate fell under their control.” Zoey said, with Fluttershy nodding in agreement.
They saw the rest of the footage that showed Nate receiving the puppet and getting brainwashed by it. That was all the commander needed to know.
He opened the box, and saw the puppet. “A hand puppet?” He asked. “It kind of looks like...” but, the puppet had already gone into him, and he was now being controlled!
“I see.” The commander said seriously before turning to Cole. “How do you explain this?”
“I’m sorry.” Cole tried to explain. “I don’t remember. My mind’s gone blank. It’s like a fog.”
Steel wasn’t convinced. “Weak excuse!” Steel said, as what he said next shocked everyone, except the commander and Steel! “Cole, you’re fired!” Everyone gasped.
“Fired?” Fluttershy, and Cozy asked in shock, as tears started to stream out of Fluttershy’s eyes.
“What?!” Ravi exclaimed.
“Fired?” Zoey asked. “Hold on...”
“No.” The commander cut her off. “Steel’s right. You repeatedly broke the rule that requires inspections, and that has put a ranger in serious danger! You’re relieved of your duties.”
Cole looked at the others who were indeed shocked at what Steel insisted on, but knew there was no way out. “I failed you...and the agency.” He said. “I’m so sorry.”
“Please see yourself out!” Steel said. Cole walked out of the lab, and got ready to pack his stuff.
Fluttershy had now had it, as she had enough of Steel’s constant discipline. She put her hoof down. “STEEL!” She screeched angrily. “I have just about have heard ENOUGH OUT OF YOU!”
“But, Fluttershy, Cole was breaking the rules, so...” Steel started.
“NO!!!” Fluttershy shouted, now very angry with her friend. “YOU DON’T GET IT! I have tried to kind to faithful to you about the concept of discipline, but you don’t listen to me! And as a result, your rash decision to fire Cole has led to some SERIOUS consequences!” Everyone was scared at how Fluttershy was acting, especially since she usually NEVER yells like that within the base.
“Fluttershy, please try to understand...” The Commander tried to explain.
“I DON’T WANT TO HEAR IT, COMMANDER!” The element of Kindness furiously raged, before turning to Steel. “You went over the line with the concept of discipline! I’d never do that to you!” She breathed a little bit before letting loose the rant she had set out for him. “You took the concept of discipline WAY TOO FAR! And, because of your own selfish actions about setting things right, has out your own brother in danger!!!” She pointed to him accusingly. “You don’t even think about your own brother! All you care about is the consequences of others, and yourself! Do you know what you have done?!”
“Well, when you put it that way, it sounds really bad.” Steel said to her.
“That's because it is really bad!” the kind Pegasus shouted at him. “What even made you think that taking the concept of discipline, and using it to fire a Grid Battleforce employee was even remotely a good idea?”
Steel stammered at a loss for words. He never thought it would lead to this. “I didn’t think about that. I may have completely missed the whole point.” He said.
“Exactly!” Fluttershy said to him, getting right into his face. “Y’know, I never said this to you before, because you are a good friend to me, but I am going to say it now, since what you did was very unruly: Steel Silva, you have SO CROSSED THE LINE!”
Steel realized something. He had completely took the concept of discipline too far, and it put his own friend, Nate the Gold Ranger in big trouble. “You’re right, I have no excuses!” He said regretfully. “I may have been totally over the line.”
“Over the line?!” Fluttershy shouted, which made everyone jump in shock again. “You-you’re-you’re so far past the line, that you-you can’t even see the line! The line is a dot to you!”
“Yes. Yes! Right!” Steel acknowledged. “And I feel horrible. You have to believe me!”
“I think you need to leave!” Fluttershy said, mad at the Beast bot. The robot started to get up, and leave the room. “Leave! As of now, this lab is EMPTY to you! And, I’m not nuts about you either!” Steel left the room dejected, which made everyone shocked.
Zoey marched up to the Fluttershy as she didn't like how she yelled at Steel. “Fluttershy! He didn't mean to-" She said before she was interrupted.
“Don't think you can lecture me as you had a part in this!" Fluttershy said while pointing a hoof at her friend. This caused the remaining rangers, and Cozy to gasp in response. “I tried my best at making my animal choreography perfect for Twilight’s coronation, and Steel took the concept of discipline too far, and you think you KNOW what I’ve been through?!”
She started to sob loudly in the lab. “It’s not fair really to fire Cole, even though what he did was under the Storm King’s control!” She wailed. “And my group of friends is falling apart, and...” she cried so loudly that everyone in the base could hear her weep. “CAN’T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?!?!”
The others were all shocked. They didn’t know what their kind friend had been through, and they realized that they had overlooked so many things in helping Fluttershy’s gift for Twilight that they had forgot about it.
Ravi walked up to her. “Fluttershy, we’re really sorry.” Ravi confessed. “We didn’t know that you were under a lot of stress, and we thought you were trying to help us with Nate, and...we kinda lost sight about what was important with you.”
“Yeah.” Cozy said, patting her on the back. “We didn’t know that’s what you went through, and one thing led to another and, I guess we were all out of our element.”
“Oh, that’s okay.” Fluttershy said sadly. “I guess there are times when we were out of our element.” She looked at the screen sadly. “I'm afraid at this rate, there won't be an animal performance for Twilight’s coronation. On top of that, Nate’s in danger!”
“Have you thought about using the Stare?” Ravi suggested.
“I tried. But even the stare didn’t work in Nate.” She said. “Sometimes my stare works well.”
“To be fair, you were pretty sick then.” Cozy reminded her.
“Still, I find that I get the best results when my animal friends want to help me.” Fluttershy said. “Even with you guys.” She smiled at them. “In fact, I know that Steel didn’t even mean to put his friend in danger. Heck, they’re so close to being friends, that they’re practically brothers. I remember when Nate told me how he was force to work for Evox before he met us.”
“He was forced to work for Blaze and Roxy, but luckily he had a trick up his sleeve, And he became a ranger in the progress!” Fluttershy continued. “But he didn’t expect one other surprise when he first met his own creation.”
“Unfortunately, no one seems interested in helping me with our friend. So I guess that means we won't be able to get our obstacles down.” She said, getting back to her sad state.
“Fluttershy, that’s not true.” Ravi pointed out. “You’ve helped out others, even us! Can’t you remember how Nate helped you previously?”
“Yeah.” Fluttershy said. “I can.”
”This task will be an optimal moment for our ranger powers!" Nate said.
”You're going down!" Sombra shouted as he prepared to blast them!
”Wrong!" Steel said. "They're coming out!" They aimed their striker morphers at the prison, and blasted it open, freeing the rangers and the mane 6.
"What?" Applejack asked. "Who are ya'll?"
”More new Power Rangers?!" Rainbow Dash asked. "11 times more awesome!"
”Nate!" The main 3 rangers said.
"And that's--"
"Not the best time for intros!" Steel warned them. "Come on!" and with that, all 11 heroes went for Sombra!
“If only we had another Zord to take them on, then we’d have the upper edge!” Nate said in agreement. “Like maybe some more firepower!”
Just then, Devon put 2 and 2 together and just came up with an idea. “Waitaminute...that’s it!” He cried out. He contacted Nate. “Nate! Has the Beast-X King Zord finished completion?”
Nate shook his head. “It’s still nearing the final build and it hasn’t been tested yet.” He told him. “I don’t know if we’re ready for it!”
”Bingo!” Rainbow said. “Nate! Get the commander to deploy the Beast-X King Zord now! It’s time to introduce it to those bad guys!”
”Right!” Nate said, giving in. He used his morpher to contact the commander. “Commander! Deploy the Beast-X King Zord!” He told her. “That’s a direct order!”
“Nate was even a good friend to us, even me.” The kind Pegasus continued. “He even helped create many new inventions.
“We made a trans-dimensional teleporter", the boy genius announced before his friends. "it somehow can now make weapons or arsenal teleport in almost any dimension."
He took the glass case off to reveal the new red blaster. "Check it out! I've decided to call this the Beast-X Ultra Blaster. Want to try it out?"
"Sure." Ravi said, as Nate took the blaster out of the case and handed it to him.
“It’s not only more powerful than your Beast-X Blasters, but it's also got rapid fire." Nate said excitedly. Just in case anyone tries to come after our Morph-X again."
“You see, Fluttershy?” Cozy said, trying to rally her up into a pep talk. “You can't all just abandon your friends like this! Don't you want to stand by them? Think of all the times you stood up for yourself, and us.”
Fluttershy realized that she has helped others, and even herself in various missions, and she blushed a little bit. “I'm glad we all are such good friends.” She said.
“Us, too.” Ravi told her. And even though things might be difficult right now, I want you to know how much you're appreciated.” He gave her a pat on the back.
“Thanks, but this whole thing with Nate is just too difficult.” The kind Pegasus said, worried again. “I don't think I have the patience to try to help him regain his memories.” The others just laughed at that. “What's so funny?”
“We’re sure dealing with your big issues like Nate and your animal friends are frustrating sometimes...” Zoey explained. “but you've dealt with the most frustrating being in existence.”
Fluttershy realized that she has dealt with such issues including Discord, and she felt a whole new wave of confidence sweep her like never before. “Wow. You know what? You're right!” She said boldly. “I guess I just needed a bit of a confidence boost.”
“Some days are like that.” Ravi said, smiling. “But for you, this is your day!”
“I think that was what I need to gain the strength I needed to get back in the game with freeing Nate.” Fluttershy said happily. “I can’t wait to tell Steel!”
“No need.” A voice said, they turned to see Steel leaning against the side of the lab door hatch. “I already know.”
Fluttershy was defiant as soon as she saw him again. “Oh, what are you doing here?” she asked harshly.
“Look, I'm sorry for what I said earlier.” The Beast Bot said to her. “It was a stupid thing to say, and I didn't mean it.”
“Yeah, right!” Fluttershy just scoffed.
“You know, this wasn’t the first time I had a falling out with my teammates like my brother before.” Steel started to tell her.
Fluttershy perked up and raised an eyebrow. “I’m listening.” She said.
“You see, when Nate was working on some of our tech in the lab, we fought one time about what was fun for me and what was fun for him. I found out the real reason why Nate was mad at me...was because he never learned to play any physical activity.”
“But when Nate was cloned by one of Evox’s robotrons, I eventually got back in the game and saved him from harm’s way.” Steel continued, as another memory sparked up.
“And sure, Nate and I might not agree on everything together...” Steel continued. “But, sometimes even the slightest disagreements can lead to some wacky consequences.”
“So, what I’m trying to say is... Nate may be a teammate to you, but to me, he’s my family.” He said. “And, he’s the best family I’ve ever had.”
Fluttershy smiled, but was still confused by all that he was telling her. “Why are you telling me all this exactly?” She asked.
“Because, you’ve got the power to do something like this.” Steel reassured her. “You even played the spy for Twilight one time, when she asked you to go undercover in Starlight’s old village.”
“If you're willing to take the risk, you could beat Controlatron, and free Nate of his control.” Steel said.
Fluttershy smiled. “I guess I did need a little push in the right direction. Okay, I’ll do it!” She said.
“I knew you could!” Steel said. At that moment, the alarm went off in the base. “What now?!” He asked, feeling like he couldn’t handle any more situations.
Ravi saw what was on the screen. “A pair of gigadrones incoming.” He said, urgently. “Sector TANGO 5-5!”
“Gigadrones already?!” Cozy said in shock. “But, we haven’t freed Nate yet!”
“That’s not important right now.” Commander Shaw urgently. “You three need to get to your zords.”
“Copy!” Ravi said, as he, Cozy, and Zoey left to get to their vehicles.
“Devon, where are you and Ben?” The commander asked.
Devon and Ben turned up on the screen. “We’re outside the building.” He told her.
“Betty thought she saw Nate out here.” Ben added, as they both scanned the area.
“Okay, excercise secretary caution.” Commander Shaw told him. “Your team can handle the gigadrones for now.”
“Roger that, Commander.” Devon said, as he exited the call.
Fluttershy knew she had to take immediate action to help her friends. “I’d better go with them!” She said, as she flew out of the lab, and out of the building.
Meanwhile, Cole was exiting the building he had worked for the ranger for so long at. He was now cleared of his duties for working at the base. He turned to look at the base one last time, before leaving. At that moment, Fluttershy left the way he went, and kindly shoved past him. “Sorry, Cole.” She said to him. “I gotta go! My friends need me!” And she left to go catch up with her friends.
Meanwhile, Devon and Ben were looking for Nate outside the base. “Nate!” Devon called out for him. “Nate!” Ben called out for him to. They looked around, and there was no sign of their friend.
Devon contacted the commander. “False alarm, commander.” He said. “There’s no sign of Nate out here.” Unbeknownst to them, Nate and Controlatron were behind him by some Morph-X bins. Nate seized this chance to sneak out of the hiding place.
“We may need to check surveillance again.” Devon said, not knowing that Nate readied his striker Saber, and got ready to charge at the two rangers.
Fluttershy arrived to where her friends were, and saw that Gold was about to strike Red and Green! She was frightened. “DEVON! BEN! BEHIND YOU!” she called out. They both turned around and were shocked to see Nate about to strike them. They both dodged out of the way, just in time! Cole came, and saw the fight unfold too. “You were trying to tell them too?” She asked.
“Yeah.” Cole said. “But, it looked like you handled that already!”
“So close!” Controlatron said, as he waved his puppet to make Nate attack them. Devon, and Ben were engaged in combat as Fluttershy and Cole ducked behind a car to watch the fight.
They dodged Nate’s saber, and Devon grabbed Nate by the arms, only to be flipped over by him. Ben tried to intervene too, but was spun by him. Finally they both regrouped against their friend, and were ready to duke it out...western style! They readied their Morphers. “ACTIVATE BEAST POWERS!” They shouted, as they morphed into their ranger forms.
“TRANSPORT! BEAST-X SABER!” Devon and Ben both hit their transporters, summoning their sword weapons.
“It’s the fight you’ve been waiting for!” Controlatron said, as he waved his puppet for Nate to start the fight off. The rangers clashed as saber struck saber, and it looked like it was evenly matched so far.
Fluttershy watched the fight, and decided to join in as well as she left Cole to go join her friends. She struck a punch at Nate, making him stagger back, but he wasn’t about to go down just yet. The took this over to a nearby park alley to continue, as Nate went after them.
The two ranger threw punch after punch at Nate, while Fluttershy tried to grab him, but they were all flung off him and onto the pavement.
“He’s just not going down!” Ben said, as they started to get up.
“Oh my!” Fluttershy said in shock. “This is even harder than when I took on that manticore.”
“You took on a manticore?” Devon asked, as the kind element nodded. “Then, this must be harder compared to what this is!”
“We’ve gotta stop him!” Ben said, as they got back up.
“Wait.” Fluttershy said.
The two rangers traded slash for slash at him, until they held him up, “That robotron is messing with you!” Devon warned him. “You gotta snap out of it!”
Nate only threw a few slashes and grabbed the Red and Green rangers forcefully. “QUIET!” He said, as he kicked them to the ground.
“Nate!” Fluttershy said, worried.
Nate approached his teammates. “You’re wrong!” He said, aiming his saber at them.
“Please, Nate!” Ben said, as they got back up again. “Listen to us!”
But, Nate was still under his control. “Nobody tell me what to do!” He said, as he charged toward them.
“Nate!” Fluttershy said, her temper rising by the minute.
The two rangers got out of the way, and started to go at him again, but it was hard to do, since they were teammates. They still had the fight evenly matched. Nate tried to get to the two rangers, but they still tried to throw punches at him. They eventually struck him to the ground.
Controlatron was shocked as he saw the puppet fall down. “Get up, and fight, you dummy!” He said, waving his puppets. Devon and Ben both saw the puppets on his hands.
“Huh?” Ben said. “Wait a sec! Those puppets are what’s controlling him!”
“Then, we gotta snap him out of it!” Devon said, as they both started to go for him, and kick him. But unfortunately, Nate flipped them both to the ground. The two Ranger’s plan to free Nate had failed.
“Now to finish you off!” Nate said, raising his Striker Saber at them.
“NO!!!” Devon and Ben called out in shock.
Fluttershy couldn’t watch her friends suffer. She had to do something. She mustered out her strength and shouted at the top of her lungs. “NATE!!!”
Nate halted, and saw the Element of Kindness angry at him, as the latter got into a fighting position. “It’s me you want!” She said. “Come get me!”
Both of them charged at each other with Green and Red jumping out of the way. Fluttershy grabbed Nate’s Saber furiously. “Nate! Snap out of it!” She said in a serious tone. “The Storm King has done something to you!”
“LIAR!” Nate said, as he tried to fling her off, but she kept holding on tight.
“Listen to me!” The Pegasus said serious and worried.
“NO MORE LIES!” Nate shouted, as he flung her off, but she would not give up, as she got back up whole Nate tried to swing at her.
Both rangers saw the fight unfold and needed to step in. “Fluttershy needs us!” Devon said, as they started to go for them but Controlatron got in their way.
“Not so fast!” The robotron said. “I want to put on a show!” He charged at the two.
Nate rose his saber high up, and it clashed with Fluttershy’s wings, as she was trying to hold it back. “Nate, you gotta trust me!” She said.
“WHY SHOULD I?” Nate said, as he flip kicked her to the ground, and was ready to finish her off.
Meanwhile, Devon and Ben was having a tough time with Controlatron as he whapped them to the ground. “Not good!” Ben said, as he and Devon struggled to get up.
Nate still had Fluttershy pinned down to the ground with his saber on her. The kind Pegasus tried to break free. “Nate! Please!” She tried to say.
“You betrayed me!” Nate said, still keeping her pinned down. “And now, you will PAY for your betrayal!!!”
“It was Blaze and Controlatron! They betrayed you!” Fluttershy said to her friend. “Think, Nate! Think!” As she said that, Nate started to remember the memories that he was in: The introduction of the rangers, meeting the elements of Harmony, and their battles with them. Nate struggled to break free, but still had his friend pinned down to the ground. Memories seeped in with his family, the birth of Steel, and the zords being built.
Nate was still struggling, as Fluttershy tried to reason with him. “Think, Nate! Think!” she said. “You’re under some kind of mind-control!”
Nate continued to struggle, as he still tried to fight her. “You’re confusing me!” he said, as he struggled. “NO MORE OF YOUR TRICKS!” He raised his saber at her.
“NO!” She said in fear, as he lowered the saber, and she grabbed it.
“FLUTTERSHY!” Devon and Ben both shouted, as they saw the fight, and got beaten by Controlatron.
The Kind Pegasus mustered enough strength to throw him off of her, as she got back up. “You’re our friend!” She shouted.
Nate got back up too! “I told you! Controlatron is my only friend!” He fired his striker blaster at her, as she fell to the ground.
Fluttershy got back up, as was furious. She tried to reason with him, but he didn’t listen! It was time for her to play rough! “Enough is enough!” She said, as Nate was coming right at her. “Looks like it’s time for some tough love!”
Nate arrived at her, but she threw some punches at him, and gave the stare, and then another punch to his face, which sent him to the ground. Now, Fluttershy had her friend pinned down, and she was growling at him.
“Now, you’re gonna listen!” She said, angrily. “And, you’re going to listen good!” Nate was struggling to break free. “Nate!” she shouted. “You’re the gold ranger! And our friend!” She shook him hard. “Come on, shake it off!”
“No!” Nate said. “You’re lying to me!” He threw her off. “I KNOW THE TRUTH!” Fluttershy got up, and was horrified and saw that her plan failed. “Ouch!” She said, as she recollected her bearings.
Nate got back up, and was ready to finish her off with her striker saber! “This is the end, Fluttershy!” He said.
“NO!” Devon and Ben said, as the tried to go for him, but Controlatron knocked them down again.
“Your little gold friend can’t help you now!” Controlatron said, as he rushed over to the Gold Ranger! “That’s right, Gold prepare for the final count!”
“NO! FLUTTERSHY!” Ben and Devon both shouted as they saw their friend about to be killed.
Fluttershy was frightened as she saw what was going to befall her. “Nate! It’s me!” She said. “Nate! You have to stop this! You’re being controlled! The other rangers are suffering! Please stop this, Nate! NATE!”
Nate stopped and heard her voice. Something was coming back to him! “Something’s wrong!” He thought. “My head!” He then remembered his memories...memories of his past as the gold ranger, and Steel, and meeting Twilight and her friends, his inventions. It was all coming back to him! “It’s coming back!” He thought. He just stood there frozen, aiming his saber at her, while his friend was quivering in fear.
At that moment, as the last of the memories went in his mind, his Morph-X key started to glow. Fluttershy was shocked upon seeing this, as it went from gold to yellow with a pink blade. It lept out of Nate’s pocket and into his morpher. Once that happened, the transformation took place as Nate was enveloped in a yellow tornado with the element of Kindness in the middle. Once the transformation completed, Nate’s suit and helmet were yellow with a hot pink visor. He had transformed into his Element-X Kindness form!
Controlatron was still wating for the end to the Element of Kindness, as he was right behind him. “That’s it, Gold ranger!” He said, gleefully. “Finish her off!” However, Nate was now in full control of his own body as he turned around and slashed him, making him stagger back!
The robotron backed away in shock. “Hey, what are you doing?” He asked. “You’re supposed to trash the Element of Kindness! Not me!” Nate paid no attention as he made his Kabuto beetle saber formation to send it to him.
“But, I thought we were on the same team!” He shouted as the attack hit him, and sent him down to the ground. He got back up in an instant. “I guess not!” He blasted Nate, but he retaliated by deflecting his missiles with his saber, and sent them right to him. “My precious!” He shouted as the missiles exploded, making him get thrown up in the sky 5 feet before hitting the ground again.
He was furious that his plan was falling apart quickly, as he got ready to strike. “You’re finished, Gold ranger!” He shouted.
Nate was ready to take him on too. “No, it is you who is finished!” Nate said, as he raised his saber, and spun it slowly in the shape of a butterfly. “STRIKER SABER...BUTTERFLY SLASH!” He shouted, as the attack slashed Controlatron, making his short out quickly.
“NOOOOOO!” He shouted as he exploded. “I just wanted... to put on a show!” He was reduced to smithereens and was now no more.
Once that was over with, Nate felt a surge in his body as his suit reverted back to his original color, and fell for only a short second, but got back up. He heard Fluttershy rush over to him. “What...what happened?” He asked. “Fluttershy? Where am I?”
“Nate!” Devon and Ben rushed over to him.
“Nate!” Fluttershy said excitedly. “You’re back!” She hugged him tightly, and cried tears of excitement.
“Yes, I am back.” He said. He then saw the others. “Devon? Ben?”
“It’s us!” Ben said to him. “How are you doing, buddy?”
“Just a little dizzy.” Nate answered. “What happened?”
“Some robotron got under your skin and used you as a puppet.” Fluttershy told him.
“No way.” Nate said, dizzy and surprised all at once.
“But, we’re glad you’re back!” Ben finished as they smiled at him.
Nate saw his friend and smiled back. “Yes, guys.” He said. “It’s good to be back!” He hugged his friends tightly.
“All right, Devon!” A voice called out. “You guys did it!” The heroes turned to see Steel already morphed with the memory scrapbook in hand. He opened the book, and the remains of Controlatron were sucked in the book, as they formed another memory inside the page.
“Steel?” Nate said, bewildered as his iron brother appeared. “Okay, what's going on?"
“You’re back bro!” He said, as he rushed over to hug him. “Thank goodness you’re not controlled anymore!”
“Hey, what’s with the book you’re holding?” Devon asked.
“What’s this I...” Ben started, until they all realized that Steel had brought the scrapbook over to collect more memories. They all shared a chuckle. “Okay, I think we get it, Steel.”
“You guys can come out, now.” Devon called out to a pile of Morph-X bins, of which Starlight Glimmer and Spike came out of.
“Starlight? Spike?” Nate asked upon seeing them. “What are you guys doing here?”
“We were just trying to collect memories for our scrapbook.” Spike said. “And, from what I heard, Fluttershy handled things pretty well.” Fluttershy blushed and smiled, while the other ranger exchanged looks of shock.
“Getting you guys to believe Nate and my animal friends were giving me trouble was even easier than I thought.” She said, as she flipped the pages and saw the memories that were recently collected. “After that, it was simple to to reminisce about all the things we've been through together.”
“Collecting these memories for Twilight is really going well.” Starlight said excitedly. “I hope she likes the scrapbook.”
“I'm sure she will, and I'm glad we could help.” Fluttershy said, as the others nodded.
Just then, the rangers got a call on their Morphers. Nate answered it. “What is it, Commander?”
“We have two gigadrones incoming in sector TANGO 5-5!” The commander contacted.
“Two gigadrones?” Nate asked in shock.
“Already?” Starlight asked as well.
“Ravi and Zoey are already facing them.” Commander Shaw said. “They might need your help. I’m deploying the Zords now.”
“How are we going to handle those gigadrones?” Fluttershy asked.
“We could always use the Beast-X King Zord.” Spike put in.
“The Beast-X King Zord’s got a few bugs in the system.” Nate told them.
“But, It worked well last time we used it.” Starlight said.
“We trying to smooth those out.” Nate told them. “So, that option’s out.”
“We could use the Striker Zords to take on those metal creeps.” Steel put in.
“Good idea!” Nate said. “Let’s do it to it! Starlight, Spike! You two come with us!” He turned to Red and Green. “Devon, Ben!” Go get the Racer and Hydro Zords!”
“Got it!” Devon said. “Let’s go, Ben!”
“Right!” Ben said, as he and Fluttershy went with Devon to get to their zords.
“Let’s go!” Nate said to the others as they nodded and rushed off to their zords. “STRIKER MEGAZORD....DEPLOY!” Nate and Steel said, hitting their transporters, and summoning their zords. They were off and about to help their friends take on a pair of incoming gigadrones!
Devon, Ben, Starlight, Spike, Steel and Fluttershy had a hectic battle, trying to free Nate from Controlatron’s grasp, but after the element of Kindness got her friend to remember the memories of being a ranger, he was free from the Storm King’s control! But that happy ending would be put on hold as now, they had two giant problems in the form of gigadrones. Quickly, the heroes deployed their zords to join Ravi and Zoey.
Digidrone had landed right in the city square, and the Wheeler and Chopper zords had already arrived. “The detectors’ have picked up two gigadrones on approach.” Ravi said. “Let’s keep an eye out.”
“Got it.” Zoey said, as they got their zords to charge.
At that moment, the Wrecker, Jet, Racer and Hydro zords arrived on the scene, ready to help the others. “Racer Zord...Battle Mode!” Devon said, as said Zord transformed in action.
The Wrecker and Jet zords both combined to form the Striker Megazord. “STRIKER MEGAZORD...UNLEASHED!” Nate, Steel, Spike and Starlight all called out as they were ready as well.
“Is this a private party, or can anyone join?” Ben asked with Fluttershy in the cockpit with him.
“Guys!” Ravi said, as he saw the others. “Perfect timing!”
“Thanks, Ravi!” Devon said. “Alright, Team! Let’s take these guys down!”
“Okie-doki!” Steel said.
“Roger!” Nate said as well.
“You got it!” Ben said, as their zords started to advance to the gigadrone.
The Striker Megazord started it off by grabbing the gigadrone and swatting it away. The chopper Zord fired a barrage of blasts, making it stagger back.
As the Striker Megazord was holding it back, The Wheeler and Hydro zords were ready to step it up a notch. The Wheeler Zord punched the gigadrone with its fist, while the Hydro Zord used its Mecha-tongue to strike it, sending the gigadrone down to the ground.
“Yeah!” Starlight said in excitement.
“Great Punch!” Steel added, as the good side was ready for more.
The Wheeler, and Chopper zords as well as the Striker Megazord fired an array of blasts at the gigadrone, making it further stagger back.
“Take this!” Devon said. As the racer Zord advanced to it, and knocked it down with its sword.
“You like that?” Ravi asked.
“Nice one!” Ben said in excitement.
“Yay!” Fluttershy added as well.
The zords were about to go for round 2 with Digidrone, when Controladrone arrived behind the Wheeler Zord. Devon took notice, and saw what it was about to do. “Ravi! Behind you!” Devon shouted in alarm.
“Huh? What?” Ravi turned to see Controladrone behind him, but he was too late as it launched its hand puppet into the Zord! Now, the Wheeler Zord was under its control!
“No!” Smash said, as he struggled to break free. “It’s taking control of our systems!” Controladrone waved his puppet to control the Zord.
The others noticed and were shocked at what happened to their friend. “Oh no!” Devon said in shock.
“Not good!” Nate said in alarm.
“Uh oh!” Spike said in shock.
“Oh, man!” Starlight said in surprise.
“That’s one big puppet!” Ben said in shock.
“Oh, no! Ravi!” Fluttershy said, as she curled behind Ben in fear.
The Wheeler Zord fired an array of blasts at the Striker Megazord, and punched it in the ‘chest’!
“Dude!” Steel said as the Zord got beaten.
“Ravi!” Spike said as he felt the same thing.
“No!” Nate said in shock.
“Sorry! Ravi said, as he struggled to free the Zord. “I can’t stop it!”
“Me neither!” Smash said as he was stuck in the gigadrone’s grasp. As that happened, the two gigadrones advanced toward the Striker Megazord, and it looked like things were about to get ugly.
The Wheeler Zord did a handstand, and kicked the Striker Zord RIGHT to the ground. “Sorry, Guys!” Ravi said sadly.
“This is wrong!” Steel said, as he struggled to get the Zord back on its feet.
“I agree with Steel!” Starlight said flustered. “I don’t know what team you’re on, but it isn’t that gigadrone’s!” Unfortunately for them, the Megazord continued to get pounded by Ravi’s Zord.
Ravi still struggled to break free, but to no avail. “Smash!” He told his beast bot partner. “Try and override the system!”
“I tried that!” Smash fretted. “But, that didn’t work!” He and Ravi were really in a stuck pickle, as they were stuck under the gigadrone’s control.
Luckily, Zoey and Devon arrived just in time. “Rapid blast!” Zoey shouted, as she blasted Controladrone to the ground. His hand puppet was fried, which meant that Ravizord was no longer under his control.
“Cheetah Strike!” Devon shouted as the racer Zord slashed Digidrone, sending it down with the other gigadrone.
Ravi was ready to finish his friends off, when the Zord jerked to a stop, and then moved normally as it regained its own free will. “Back in control!” Smash said in relief.
“Thanks, guys!” Ravi said to his friends as they came to his side.
The two gigadrone got back up to fight again. “Now, it’s our turn!” Devon said.
“You got it!” Ravi said, as the Beast-X rangers activated the combination code to their Megazord. “BEAST-X MEGAZORD...GOING ONLINE!” Ravi shouted.
“Initiate sequence!” Devon said, as the Racer, Wheeler and Chopper zords combined to form the Beast-X Megazord.
“Let’s finish this!” Fluttershy shouted, as she and Ben readied the Hydro Zord’s finisher. “Hydro Bombs away!” Ben shouted as the Zord fired tadpole bombs at the gigadrones, making them stagger back.
“Transport...CHEETAH BEAST BLASTER!” Said, as he summoned his weapon, and aimed it at Digidrone. “BEAST-X HYPER STRIKE!” He shouted, as the Beast-X Megazord slashed the Digidrone, making him down and out for the count.
“Steel, disengage the Jet Zord!” Nate said. “Spike and I have an idea!”
“Okay! If you say so!” Steel said, as he disengaged his Zord.
“Not again!” Starlight said, as she and Steel were thrown off of the Wrecker Zord.
Nate advanced his Zord toward Controladrone. “Okay, you Zord controller...” He said to the gigadrone. “...you’ve done enough giving my friends a hard time. But, if you think you’re going to taken them away from me...”
“...and hurt them...” Spike added.
“...you’ve got another thing coming!” They both said, as Nate got out his Element-X key.
“Time to unleash my trump card!” Nate said as he plugged it into the Zord panel. “WRECKER ZORD...PARADOX EFFECT CRUSH!” The sky became jet black, as the Zord was enveloped in golden energy. It slowly swung its wrecker arm in a Circle and swiftly slashed Controladrone in half.
The attack was too much for the gigadrone as it shorted out, and exploded quickly! Controladrone was now down and out for good, as the Wrecker Zord posed in victory.
“We did it, Nate!” Spike said as he hi-fived his teammate.
“You bet we did!” Nate said in excitement. “Virus eliminated!” The gigadrone’s were successfully defeated, and everyone was safe! No more brainwashing or controlling for anyone...or any Zord anymore, as the zords went back to their hanger, and the heroes met back up at Grid Battleforce for a well-earned victory!
The heroes all returned to Grid Battleforce successfully, happy that their friend was back to normal. It was a tough struggle to break him free from Controlatron’s grasp, but thanks to Fluttershy, Nate was finally a good ranger once more.
“I’m sorry for giving you guys such a hard time.” Nate confessed to his friends.
“Hey, we’re really happy that you’re back to normal, Nate.” Spike said happily as the others nodded.
“I can see that, Spike.” Nate said, as he smiled and turned to the whole team. “Thank you all for not giving up on me.”
“Nate, none of us would ever give up on you.” Starlight said, relieved.
“Especially if you were under control by a robotron by accident.” Devon added.
“Though, I do have to wonder...” Starlight said confused. “...how did that robotron get under your skin, and brainwash you? Because, that sure would be something like Sombra did, and he’s not here.”
“The worst part is that I have no memory when that robotron controlled me.” Nate said to them. “My mind was completely blank. Everything was a fog.”
Just then, Steel remembered when someone said something like that earlier today. “Hold on!” He said, recalling what happened.
“I’m sorry.” Cole tried to explain. “I don’t remember. My mind’s gone blank. It’s like a fog.”
“Foggy?” Steel instantly realized that Cole said the same thing earlier, and knew he made a mistake. “Oh no!” He said in shock. “That’s why Cole couldn’t remember anything!”
“Cole?” Spike and Starlight asked in confusion.
“Of course!” Zoey said in realization. “He must have been mid controlled to bring the puppet to Nate.”
"Who's Cole?" Spike asked her.
"He’s a worker at Grid Battleforce." Zoey told him.
“Then, it wasn’t his fault at all!” Steel said in shock, as he saw Spike and Starlight glowering at him disappointingly.
"Alright Steel, what screw up did you do this time?" Spike asked.
Steel sighed, as there was no way out. “I kind of threw Cole...the worker...under the bus and jumped to conclusions about him bringing a package in the lab on purpose...and fired him, which was a huge mistake."
“Steel!” Cozy said in shock. “You fired Cole, thinking he brought a package into the lab on purpose?!”
Starlight facehoofed and groaned in frustration. “I can’t believe you did that!” She said angrily.
“Hey, it wasn’t my fault that Nate got controlled!” Steel said, which gave him death stares from Starlight and Cozy, as well as Spike. “I...I thought he broke the rules.”
"Steel, why would do such a thing?" Spike asked.
"Because I figured he already knew about working at Battleforce, and I thought they were doing wrong to Nate."
“Steel, just because somepony knows about something, and they make a mistake by a villain, doesn't mean they're automatically smart or dumb about it.” Cozy said. “If I know one thing, it's that learning never stops, and sometimes, lessons don’t come easy. But, it’s an important step in friendship that there always is room for in.”
Steel quickly pondered the quick talk and decided to set things right, "You're right Guys. I should go and take care of this right now! I owe Cole an apology." He turned to the commander. “Commander, I made a terrible mistake!”
“And, how would you like to make things right?” She asked him.
“There is only one thing to do!” Steel said determined, as he went out the door to find the person that was wrongly accused.
They all followed him outside of the base, and met up with him. “So, how are you going to fix this, exactly?” Spike asked.
“Cole should be here in a moment, everyone.” Commander Shaw told him. “I told him it’s important.”
“Thanks.” Steel said in relief.
“That’ll teach you to not go jumping to conclusions without finding out what really happens.” Starlight said, kindly nudging him.
“Starlight!” Fluttershy said, giving her the stare.
“What?” She asked. “It will teach him.”
Just then, they all saw Cole arrive on a bike at the base entrance. “Oh hey!” The Beast bot said. “He’s here.” The others turned their attention to him as he came up to the commander.
“Uh, Commander you wanted to see me?” Cole asked, unsure what was going on.
The others looked at him, smiling and gave him a kind nudge in the right direction. “Well, go on, Steel.” Cozy said.
“You can do this, Buddy.” Starlight said, with Spike nodding. Steel looked at the others who nodded in agreement. He bravely walked up to Cole.
“Actually, I did.” He said to him. “I was wrong to be so hard on you. Taking that evil package to Nate wasn’t your fault. I know now that you were being used like a puppet by a robotron.”
“I was?” Cole said, now remembering the events that had happened earlier today.
“Yup.” Steel said. “And, the thing with the lunchbox, well...” he saw his friends smiling at him, knowing that he had got this. He turned back to Cole. “I may have overreacted a bit on that. Everyone makes mistakes. They don’t all deserve punishments.”
Commander Shaw came up to Cole. “We’d like you to come back and work for us at Grid Battleforce.” She said to him.
“Really?” Cole asked excitedly. “Well, of course! Thank you! Thank you so much!” He saw the others, even Steel, smiling at him. “And I promise I will remember to scan every single package from now on...even my own lunchbox.” Everyone giggled at that a little bit. “Thank you!” Cole said happily as he went into the building, ready to get back to work.
“Guess we did a good job, giving you a push in the right direction, huh?” Starlight asked, as she walked up to Steel.
“Yes!” Steel said in excitement and relief. “It sure was a wild day today! It couldn’t get any crazier!”
“Well, we’re glad you learned your lesson.” Fluttershy said, as she smiled. “Kindness is one of the elements of Friendship, but you already know that!” Steel blushed as she said that.
“And, that’s why this ranger team needs you guys as not only guidance Counsellors, but also allies and good friends!” He said to them, as Starlight, Cozy, Spike and Fluttershy all smiled at him sweetly. So did the others, as they knew that even sometimes heroes like Steel, who was learning the concept of discipline, can make mistakes and learn from them too.
It was a good day for Steel as he not only got his friend back, but also got enough memories, with the help of Fluttershy, to fill up the next section of the book. It was also a good day for Nate too. He may not be controlled anymore, but the Storm King and his minions were probably cooking up another plan to get revenge on the rangers, and when the time was right, the heroes would be ready for him.

Fluttershy returned to her sanctuary, and saw her animals who got impatient for her return to help them with the choreography for Twilight’s coronation.
She landed and met up with them. “Hello, my little animal friends.” She said happily. “I know things haven’t been going well for the choreography, but we have a job to do, and I'm not gonna stop until it's done. The sooner you get on board, the sooner we can all take a break. So turn those wings around right now, and let's get started!” The animals cheered for her excitedly, and from the looks of it, they were ready to give the dance practice another shot. The kind Pegasus sighed in relief.
“Hi, Fluttershy.” Twilight said, as she arrived at her sanctuary. “Did you still want me to see the rehearsal?”
Her friend smiled. “Yes, I do.” She said happily. “Getting them to practice was a real challenge. And the choreography for the coronation may be very specific. But, I know we have enough time to get it all down.” The animals all cheered in excitement as they knew they could help Fluttershy get the job done in time to surprise Twilight in Canterlot.
She turned to them, smiling. “I’m glad you handled the butterflies and hummingbirds well, Angel.” She said, as her pet bunny wiped off his forehead, and sighed in relief. “...But now I think it's time we got some actual practice in.”
The swans honked at her bitterly, but Fluttershy knew that they could get the choreography down in no time for Twilight. She was ready to finish the practice, and handle any behaviour the animals threw that came her way.
