a betrayal occurs, Discord gets his revenge, on ponies, and humans
An accident has happened dash has no memory prior to or after the accident. Until an old enemy comes and tricks her into darkness, discord, together, they have become a force to be reckoned with, causing chaos to ponies, and humans alike.
This is my first fanfic, in an alternate universe were the only alternative is war. A war brought to humans and will have four of the mane six, dead.
Rainbow Dash didn't remember a thing, she woke up in a hospital bed, oxygen mask on her mouth. Her head really hurt, as if smashed repeatedly with a hammer. Her wings hurt as if snapped like sticks. Finally her back legs hurt the worst and both were in a cast, with signatures all over it. She heard the door of her room open, a doctor came in, "oh goody your awake, nasty fall you had there. 5000 foot fall." Dash was perplexed by his report and and she pulled the mask off her mouth and asked asked, "Who am I and who are you?!?" The doctor said back, "Let me bring back Twilight, you might remember her." Dash was still confused, "Who is Twilight?" The doctor, backed up a bit and left the room, Twilight was outside the room. The Doctor said, "It is much worse than expected. She has no memory whatsoever, you should probably go in there, it might help her memory." Twilight, speechless with the report said, "You said yesterday, she had brain damage so bad, she would never wake up and would be brain dead the rest of her life." The doctor replied back, "The limited brain activity started up again in the morning, and she just awoke, its been a month almost. This is a medical miracle!"
Twilight Sparkle walks into the room, "Hi Dash, your awake!" Dash felt like a stranger listening to her, listening to Twilight tell her of all her achievements and then Pinkie Pie (unsuccessfully) tried to hold a party in her hospital room. she thought Pinkie Pie was insane, and yelled at her like she never knew her. Days past, then weeks, she still had no memory of what happened and didn't remember any of her friends at all. Twilight tried to explain to her again, the element to her, along with her dream of becoming a Wonderbolt, her job to keep the skies clear, and her flat out awesomeness. Dash didn't remember any of that still. Until a surprise guest came.
Someone walked into the room, a pony wearing a Fedora hat, he removed it, it changed its shape, it was Discord. She didn't remember him, but he somehow got in and sat in a chair, and said, "Hello Dash, longtime, NO SEE." Dash then asked what became a very common question, "who are you?" Discord gave a small laugh and said, "I am your friend, I finally learned of your accident and came to see you" Dash felt happy listening to him and said, "This is very thoughtful of you, thanks friend." Discord said, "Those others coming in have forgot about you, deep down they HATE you for who you are, unique, I like that, and need you to do a favor. I am hated as well, like you unique, I need your help, the elements of harmony are needed, I have acquired an ancient tool, the portal staffs, I require the elements to power them. Will you bring me the elements?" Dash thought of it, then asked "why? Why me? why do you need the elements? And what are you going to do with the staffs?"
Discord replied, " We need the staffs totake Equestria back for me and only you can do it, your trusted." Dash thinking much more, thought it through and then said, "Discord, I will do what you need done. I accept." Discord, pleased with his triumph, then said "good choice. Good choice, Rainbow Dash."He put his Fedora back on, as the pony that came in and left the room.
During the next few days, she learned of her accident, a storm had approached Equestria, she was sent to clear the skies, a heavy wind gust hit and sent her falling, blacking her out and fell at least 5000 feet headfirst, into a tree, nearly killing her. She was rushed to the hospital immediately, were she went into shock and then had a cardiac arrest from it. she was in coma for at least two months. The doctors even said, it was impossible for her to get out, she was close to being brain dead. When she awoke it was a miracle she awoke. Dash still was clueless and couldn't remember what had happened, had that really happened to her?
About a week later, dash was transferred to a flight rehabilitation center to learn how to fly again. She got the hang of it, even though her back legs didn't show, they started healing quickly also, within a month, she was in full health, except for her memory, which was still broken, and corrupted by Discord. She had limited visits by Twilight and a brief short visit the night before being discharged out by Discord.
Discord in his pony disguise, entered her room and formed into his shape once he removed the hat, turned to Dash and said, "Remember our plan Dash, we need the elements to take back Equestria. If we are successful, your will be rewarded handsomely for your actions. Equestria was wrongfully taken by that corrupt bile filly named Celestia." Dash agreed with him and said "Tomorrow, i get out, I will help you master". Discord was please with what he heard and said, "good, good Dash.Remember what I said you are unique and you should be proud of your uniqueness." after saying that, he lifted his lion paw hand out to her hoof, she lifted it up and he grabbed, producing a large smile on his face. He put the Fedora back on and transformed back into his disguise. Dash got out of the bed and in the bathroom in the room, she looked in the mirror, she asked herself, "Am I really this unique?" she went back in bed and slept the rest of the night. The next day, she was released and started to plot out the plan, the plan to take Equestria back to Discord.
The moment Dash was released, news finally broke of Discord's escape. Dash knew deeply of his plot, but had to think harder to get the plot in action. Celestia summoned them and said that reports have been shown that he is in the everfree forest, and immediately they where sent there to encounter him with the elements of harmony.
Twilight had the elements ready and they all went to the forest, sure enough, Discord was there, along with two black Pegasi, with fangs dripping blood. "Well, you have arrived." Discord said. "so I'll be defeated again, as story goes". One of the Pegasi growled and was about ready to attack when Discord calmed it down. Twilight had them ready for action, until Dash said, "hold on a moment, I want to say something to him." Dash approached Discord, and then, bowed down to him. "Discord, I accept you, as my master, and from hereby forward, Celestia, her allies, and the citizens of Equestria, are now enemies of you, me, and our cause." She said, she yanked her element off and handed it to Discord.The others were shocked, Dash, the element of loyalty, betrayed them. Discord, pleased with his triumph, pulled out a bag, glowing blue, with lighting surrounding it. "For your loyalty to me Dash, here is a gift I bring on you." he said as he pulled out an orb and handed it to Dash."You may arise." He said, Dash got up and grabbed the orb, the lightning shot out into her, Twilight looked her in the eyes and noticed, they were now blood red. the lightning stopped shooting out and she nearly passed out from its power. she got up and looked at the others, "You are now enemies of me!" With a swipe of a hoof, the elements came to her and Discord. Discord, put an arm around Dash and said, "You did well." twilight tried to talk to Dash, but threatened to shoot her new power at Twilight. Discord took the elements and pulled gold staffs out of another bag, the elements formed in to a jewel and went into the staff. Twilight tried to use her magic to get the elements back, but it seemed the staffs had a property that was keeping magic from working on it.
It seemed everyone couldn't contain their rage, the one upset the most was Applejack, she approached Dash and said, "Dash, I can not believe you betrayed us and took the elements from us!" Dash gave out a small laugh and said, "You never really cared for me in the first place. Its your fault for the accident that nearly killed me anyway AJ." Applejack was confused by her statement, and said, "Ma fault? MA FAULT? dash, it was YOUR job to keep the skies clear! You were slackin' a bit that day! You were totally unprepared for it! Since when is one of your problems, MA FAULT?" Dash, felt a bit defeated yelled back, "to keep you precious apples! It seems you care more about apples than me!" she took her hoof back as if to punch Applejack, but instead, lightning shot out and hit Applejack, she turned pale and fell over, Twilight and Pinkie went to her, however, she turned to dust. Where she once stood, a pile of dust lay there, with her hat on top of the pile, as the wind blew it a little bit. "Anyone else going to contradict and question my new power?" Dash asked. Pinkie and Rarity backed down and Pinkie ran away. Discord then went to a small tree shaped like an arch, put the staffs under it and lightning also shot out of the top, Discord, the two pegasi, and Dash walked through the lightning and disappeared. the staffs also disappeared. Twilight who ducked and took cover at the sight of the lightning, got up and noticed they were gone. the others soon came, and looked at the pile of dust that was once Applejack. "Now what?" rarity asked. "Dash turned on us for Discord, this is totally unbelievable!" She said again. "Well, her memory is ruined from the accident, and is still recovering, I think Discord corrupted it." Fluttershy said. Twilight said, "Well one thing is for certain, Dash is an enemy now."
Meanwhile, Discord, Dash, and the Pegasi came out into a desert. They walked to a cave and entered it. More black Pegasi, from young fillies, to old ones on the verge of death, looked up on them from the cave. Dash came in and approached some fillies, looking up with blood red eyes and small fangs developing. They were hungry, really hungry. All of them seemed to be hungry, Discord left with the two Pegasi for a moment and came back, with sacks. The twp Pegasi ripped open the bags, they were full of feed, chicken feed. all of them huddled over the feed and devoured it, devouring every last bit. That night, they set up a campfire and they all sat around it, one of the two Pegasi that was at Discord's side, came up and started speaking, his name was Artillery, A tough Pegasus with a Scottish accent. He started to speak in his accent:
Everypony, we were once accepted, accepted for who we were, then Celestia banished us, banished our hopes, spirit, and freedom. We have been hiding here, here in this God-forsaken place! The day will come, the day when we march on the Canterlot castle bring Celestia and dye the steps with our blood and guarantee our fillies the freedoms they could only dream of. Celestia will fall, her blood will be spilled in the name of Discord! Long live Discordian Equestria!
He was close to tears after his speech, his fangs continued to drip blood and he left into the crowd. another Pegasus, a female this time came up and started a speech too, her name was Skydive, and she had an accent too, an Australian one.
Everpony, we were taken out of Equestria wrongfully, those pitiful low lives, besides our newest addition defeated him when he arose. WE WILL NOT GIVE UP! We will take Equestria back, in the name of Discord, LONG LIVE DISCORDIAN EQUESTRIA!
Dash was touched a bit by their speeches, finally, she realized, Celestia was a bile monster who hated all who were different or unique. That's what Discord said and that night, everyone else went to sleep, she stayed up and spent the night looking at the stars, she flew up to a cloud and tried to sleep on it, not like at cloudsdale, but it was a cloud. She eventually fell asleep.
Back at Equestria, Celestia had summoned the rest of the four. They arrived at the castle, in shock from the events. "One has died, and one has betrayed us. What else is going to happen?" She asked. Twilight said back to her, "We have no idea what caused her to do this, but she wasn't the same, she was more aggressive and her eyes, Oh my, her eyes were blood red, from a power Discord gave to her." Celestia was in shock hearing of this, and then Twilight continued. "She took the elements, and put them into staffs." Celestia, who was sitting in her throne, got up and said, "The Portal staffs? I banned those along with Discord because of their danger to us. Apparently he has found them and plans to use them on us, be prepared for an attack, and these staffs, are the master staffs, they control all portal staffs, there are hundreds of them, the are nearly indestructible and have properties to avoid magic from interfering with it. The master staffs only work under an arch shape. The rest are independent of operation under an arch, but are weaker and scattered throughout the world." Twilight learned a lot and realized, that Discord is planning something, something big.
Dash and Discord returned to Equestria the next night, the night Discord said, he would be taking back Equestria for himself, and had the staffs ready, he ordered Dash to set them up in the park, due to the fact that the staffs were the master staffs, and could only work under an arch. While Dash went to the park, Discord was going to the castle to reclaim Equestria for himself.
Twilight how ever spied on them the whole time and knew the plan, and wondered if Dash would do such a thing, she followed Dash to the park and watched her let go of the staffs, they floated into position under the arch of a footbridge. "Dash, no! What are you doing?!?" Twilight yelled. Dash, surprised, looked back and said, "Making things better." She then twisted the top of the center staff and lightning shot up on the arch, forming a portal, back in the desert, the darkbolts, blood drooling from their mouths, saw the portal, ran to it and popped out of the portal back at the park and ran to Ponyville and Canterlot, bringing destruction with them. "It was you, Dash, you stole the elements, you MURDERED Applejack! You betrayed us!" Dash looked back up and said, "I did this for my own good, this was my Destiny."
Back at the castle, The guards barricaded themselves in the castle as the mysterious attackers were trying to get in and destroying the town, the smell of burning filled the air as buildings and other objects burned, Discord was able to get in the castle, stunning two guards, and going to the throne room, with Artillery and skydive at his side. He entered and saw Celestia sitting in the throne, "Celestia, I have come to reclaim my rightful place as ruler, so I am giving you the chance to step down as ruler and leave, I will spare." Celestia laughed and said, "Discord, I will NEVER step down, you are going to plunge Equestria into darkness and chaos. You have also filled one of my most loyal subject's heart with darkness, so LEAVE while you have the chance. Discord wasn't happy with what he heard, "Celestia, Celestia. Unable to do a simple task, its a pity. A true pity."
Back at the park, Twilight tried to reason with Dash, but it was no help, "Dash, your element is loyalty, why the change of heart all of a sudden?" She asked. Dash looked at Twilight, her blood red eyes looked in disapproval of her, said, "You don't care about me, the others don't care about me!" the smell of smoke continued to fill the air as Ponyville and Canterlot burned. Twilight walked up to a staff and picked it up and said, " I didn't want to do this, but this is the only way!" and smashed Dash in the face with the Staff, she fell back, put her hoof on her face, and saw blood, enraged, she took a staff and smashed Twilight in the head with it, knocking her out. Dash took the staffs and left, the portal disinterested and vanished under the bridge.
Back at the castle, Celestia and Discord were dueling each other, the victor would be the ruler of Equestria. Discord at one point had Celestia pinned down, only to be attacked with a spell, Celestia pinned Discord down on the floor, horn pointed at him, and said, "You have lost Discord, surrender, and I'll spare you." Discord said back, "It is too late Celestia" and pushed her against the wall, and said "Celestia, you could never make the hard decisions, your lucky I am letting you live. But I must warn you, at your weakest, I WILL CRUSH YOU, and my newest Apprentice has served me well." Discord went up to the stain-glass window with the relief of the mane six and the elements, and punched it, lightning surrounding his fist, as it turned to dust and vanished once more, Celestia got up and sat back down in the throne, two guards entered, the ones he stunned."Guards, bring Twilight and the others to me this instant!" Celestia order, The two guards saluted, and said, "Yes your majesty!" and ran out of the room.
Meanwhile, Discord rendezvoused with Dash outside the town, Dash, wearing a tan cloak and hood, had a bag, squirming, struggling. Discord asked, "Dash, what have you got for me. Dash responded back, "This filly tried to stop me, she wouldn't leave me alone." She emptied the bag and an orange and purple Pegasus filly fell out, It looked at Dash and asked, "What is wrong with you Rainbow Dash?" It was Scootaloo, with a look of fear on her face. Dash picked her up by the tail and stuffed her back in the bag, and handed it to Discord, who handed it to artillery. They all vanished in the portal Dash set up and were back in the desert.
