After being flung into a portal by yours truly: Dr eggman, he is transported to Equestria along with the chaos emeralds. he faces challenges he'll have to do on his own. Well not really...
“Ohohoho! Try and stop me!” A certain mad scientist laughed madly. It was none other than eggman. Or Doctor Ivo Robotnick, whichever you want to call that fool. And who is there to stop this madman? Well none other than Sonic and his trusty sidekick Tails. Tails was born with the genetic abnormality which gave him two tails, from which he earned his nickname, but also made him the target of much bullying. Also, because of his unusually high IQ, Tails became a master engineer. Why am I telling you this dear reader? That's because something very interesting is going to happen. Tails will have to face something alone.
“Drop him Egghead! Whatever you plan on doing, don’t!” Sonic yelled as tails was dangling from a robotic hand. Tails was struggling to get out of his grasp but he failed ultimately. Eggman was just grinning with an evil smirk. Whatever he was planning, was not for the faint of heart, as eggman cackles maniacally.
“Help Sonic!” Screamed Tails.
“That’s none of your business! But I'll elaborate you on my plan. Since I can't take over this land, I'll do it where you can’t stop me! Also with this brat, he’ll help me conquer said land! And without you, or anyone to stop me, I’ll conquer it with an iron fist! Ohohoho!” Sonic just snarled at him. What he said next was a big mistake though.
“Drop him or I’ll make you regret it!” Eggman just laughed as he opened the rift to the other world under Tails.
“If you insist!” He dropped Tails into the rift. Sonic screamed in rage as Eggman went in after Tails.
Tails groaned as he gripped his head. Whatever happened, made his head feel like it was splitting apart. He then opened his eyes, revealing his surroundings. He was on a bed with a nightstand on his left along with what seemed to be a… pony? When he made eye contact with the mare, she made an ‘eep!’ noise and took cover behind the nightstand. Tails was very confused, and most of all, curious.
“Umm… miss? You ok over there?” He asked the mare as she peeked at the two tailed fox. He hopped out of his bed and to the mare. She looked at his soft blue eyes as she hid her face in her mane.
“I-i didn’t expect you to wake up s-so quick.”
She whispered quietly. Fortunately, foxes have great hearing as tails picked up her voice rather quickly. He smiles and pats her on the head. She flinches but allows him to pat her on her head.
“What's your name miss?” She looks up at him and gives a smile. Tails nearly felt his heart shatter to pieces. She is almost adorable to the chao!
“F-Fluttershy…” She whispered again. He smiles but something grazed his mind, what kind of name is Fluttershy? But he couldn't talk because his name is Miles Prower.
“Miles. Miles “Tails” Prower.” He said while giving her a calm smile. He then looked around the place. It wasn’t everyday you see a talking pony or their humble, quaint, home.
“Why do you have two tails Mr. Prower?” Tails looked at her with a mix of confusion, that was until he knew what she was preferring to. He places one of the tails in his hand.
“I was born with these. I used to get picked on alot until I figured out how I could use them. Also don't call me mister please? Refer to me as Tails.” He said as she got herself up. Tails made idol small talk with Fluttershy, he asked where he was and she told him he was in Equestria the land of the ponies. Tails thought of the possibilities, how did he get here? As she kept on making idle chit chat until it hit him: if he got here too, that meant Eggman is here too. He sat up with a serious expression on his face. Fluttershy looked at Tails with a worried look.
“Are you alright Tails?” He put his hands on Fluttershy’s shoulders. He looked her dead in the eyes.
“Can you take me to your leader? I have a serious matter on hand I should warn them about.” Tails said to Fluttershy.
“GET YOUR HANDS OFF HER CREEP!”
Tails was quick on his feet and dodge an angry pegasis. She slammed her head in the wall and fell to the floor, dazed. Tails just shook his head
“Just the same as Knuckles. She’s fast like Sonic, but lacks wit.” he mentally thought as she rubbed her head with her hoof and stared angrily at the fox.
“Fluttershy, did that Two tailed idiot hurt you?” Fluttershy shook her head. The rainbow hair mare face softened and looked at the floor. A blush formed on her face, she was embarrassed. Tails walked up to both of them.
“Anyways, my name is Tails or Miles “Tails” Prower but i want you to prefer me as Tails. Before I was interrupted, I just wanted to say that a threat is here.” The two both looked at each other and then Tails with a confused look.
“What threat?” The cyan pegasus asked. Tails knew that explaining this would cause panic, he then cleared his throat.
“Dr. Eggman is the threat. And I doubt this is Mobius anymore. Eggman is a short-tempered, raucous, pompous, and cruel evil genius who is constantly planning to take over the world. His primary motivation throughout is his psychotic belief of self-entitlement. Arrogant and narcissistic, he constructs countless technological wonders in his own image to fuel his massive ego.”
“O-oh my…” Fluttershy said with fear in her eyes. The cyan pegasus just had a cocky smirk on her face.
“No problem. We can just beat him up and call it a day!” She then made a few quick jabs in the air and looked at Tails.
“Nope that is not an option. Perhaps the most frustrating and deadly aspect about Eggman is his tendency to always escape at the last minute, even as all his creations and machines crumble and blow up around him, ensuring that he will always be back again with another scheme to endanger the planet and beyond. No matter how close we appear to be finally catching the villain and putting him out of commission, the doctor always has an escape plan, which ironically enough, are the only plans he can formulate that we had been known to fail in foiling, making it nearly impossible for both of us to defeat the other for good, making our battle a never ending one. One of Eggman's more admirable, if not dangerous, traits is his courage throughout life threatening situations. Despite Eggman's continuous use of machinery to both protect himself and fight his opponents, Eggman shows considerable bravery and very rarely shows fear, regardless of who or what he is facing. Even in the wake of the Black Arms invasion, Eggman remains very composed and even enters their base of operations without showing any fear. His persistence to control other creatures bent on mass destruction and approach them to ultimately tame them, including Chaos and Dark Gaia, also illustrate his apparent lack of fear.” The two were both shocked about this and feared the worst.
“Then how do you handle him if he is that powerful?” She spoke up again. Tails then had a smirk on his face.
“Me, my friends, and of course, Sonic the fastest thing alive.”
The sentence ‘fastest thing alive’ struck a nerve with the cyan mare. She got up into Tails’ face with an angry expression, Tails backed up a bit.
“What do you mean the fastest thing alive?! I’m Rainbow Dash, the fastest flyer in Equestria for Faust sake!” Tails chuckles a bit. “What’s so funny?!” She huffed as Tails gave a smug look in which it made her even more angry.
“I think I can beat you in the ‘fastest flyer in Equestria’ title.” She was silent for a bit before bursting into laughter. Fluttershy was gone from the room leaving him and Rainbow Dash.
“Bwahahaha!!! How could you fly without wings, that's impossible!” She said while Tails got up, he started to spin his tails. They started to spin faster while she was confused… until his feet no longer touched the ground. She was shocked to see Tails flying in the air.
“Holy Celestia… HOW CAN YOU FLY?!” Tails chuckled a bit as the mare was shocked. The sound of a door opening was enough of a warning as a lavender mare showed up and saw him in the air. Not only that, but there were five mares behind said mare all gazing at Tails.
“Oh my Celestia…” The lavender mare said as they all looked at Tails. He then lowered himself to the ground.
“OHMYGOSHTHATWASAMAZINGHOWDIDYOUDOTHATDOYOULIKEPARTIESALSOHIIMPINKIEPIE!” A pink mare said at a fast velocity.
“Well ah’ll be…” an orange one said while she examined him.
“My, my, what marvellous tails you have! But, why do you have two tails?” a white mare said while Tails smiled.
“This is a birth defect. I was taught how to fly with them by my best friend and role model. My name is Miles “Tails” Prower, but call me Tails. Might I ask what are your names?” Tails asked the new mares.
“Hello Tails, I’m Twilight Sparkle.” the lavender mare said while he gave her a hoof shake.
“I’m Pinkie Pie! Say, what’s your favorite chocolate or vanilla?” The pink party pony asked Tails while bouncing up and down.
“Uhhh… vanilla?” And just like that she took off in a pink puff of smoke. Tails didn’t question it at all, he just didn’t want to get a headache. The orange mare walled up and to Tails tipped her hat.
“Howdy! Mah name is Applejack. Pleasure meetin’ ya'll!” She held out her hoof as everyone’s eyes went to the size of pinpricks.
“NOOOOOOO-Huh?” they all said in unison as both Applejack and Tails were shaking hands/hoofs. “Wow you're strong!”
“Wow you're strong!” Tails said as the rest gawked at the sight. Tails looked confused as they all looked like they saw a ghost. Even Applejack was shocked.
“What?” Tails asked confused and a little bit worried.
“You shook Applejacks hoof… no pony has ever done that without being flung up and down.” Rainbow Dash said while Tails chuckled a bit.
“Well you see… I'm pretty strong. But I shook hands with a person that when he punched the ground, it would cause an eruption. So on with the introductions please! I need to tell the leader of this land about a threat.” Tails said as all the mares (except Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash) cocked their heads to the sides in which Tails explained again. All of them looked horrified at the info received to them. After introductions, Tails said that he wanted to see if two of his latest inventions worked. Twilight was excited while the rest groaned. They all knew this was gonna be a long day.
“So… what are these inventions?” Tails smiled at Twilight. No-one has ever actually shown interest in his inventions (except for sonic of course), and when they did, it was most likely to get something via Amy Rose when she wants to know where Sonic is.
“It’s a surprise. But one of them requires a map. And this,” He pulls out a watch device with two tails as a logo on it with one click of a button on the side of said watch, it opened up.
“Searching... Searching… no map found. Please try again.” a robotic voice said from the watch as all of the mares gasped in surprise.
“What kind of magic is that?” Twilight said while Tails was checking some of his calibrations. He then looked at Twilight with a confused stare.
“Magic? Hmmm… considering that you have a horn on your head, which means you can use magic, but it doesn't exist in my world, but no. I do not use magic, this is Machinery, engineering.” Twilight brought out a quill and notebook and started to write in it. He smiled.
A few hours later...
Twilight was searching for a map Equestria in a pile of books while Tails made small talk to the mares. They asked all sorts of questions about him. He told them about his crazy adventures before he met sonic, and how he saved sonic from being trapped by an egg carrier.
“So darling, do you miss them?” Rarity asked Tails as he tilts his head in confusion.
“Huh?”
“You know, your family, mother, father, sister. Do you miss them?” Rarity asked as Tails looked at the floor with a mixture of sadness and sorrow. Rarity and the rest of the mane six were looking at Tails worried. Even Pinkie’s hair deflated.
“As soon as I was born, I was an orphan. My parents were captured by eggman and then roboticized. And if you don’t know what that means, it’s the process of converting living tissue into machinery: body parts are transformed into mechanical equivalents. Due to the transformation, Roboticized subjects will lose their free will as a result of roboticization, becoming almost mindless automatons. Whether it is possible to restore the roboticized subjects' mental capabilities while the bodies remain robotic is unknown. The only family I have is Sonic." Just then, they all hugged Tails. He doesn't like surprises, but he felt comfortable and hugged them back.
“Ah guess me and you are the same.” Applejack said to Tails as he nodded. Twilight then found a map in a book.
“Tails I found the map. Now can you explain what you're about to do?” She asked before Tails directed the watch towards the map and clicked the button. Immediately it made a beep noise as a blue light went up and down on the map, eliciting small gasp from the mane six.
“Scanning… Scanning… Map found! Name of Land: Equestria. Downloaded into the Tornado’s GPS.” They then looked horrified.
“Tornado?! I knew I couldn't trust you! I can't believe I hugged you!” Rainbow dash said ready to strike Tails. But tails stopped her with a hand up.
“That's the surprise. It’s not a literal tornado, just a nickname for something I have!” He said as the mares calmed down.
“But I'll need an open field for said surprise.”
One Transition Later…
They were all in the middle of a vast open field and all of them were gathered around Tails. He then cleared his throat, ready to blow their minds. He then pulled a disc like object from one of his tails and pressed a button on it. He threw it out and then in a matter of seconds, a puff of smoke enveloped their vision. Now stood a vehicle with completely red wings and fuselage outlined with yellow and white lines. It also has a three-headed tractor screw and a black power plant. For the design, the cockpit has either one or two seats and a small windshield. Above the top wing and vertical stabilizer, the Tornado got emblazed with Tails' symbol, and behind the cockpit on the fuselage is the word "SONIC" written in white. The Tornado also has a small jet engine between the front wheels and machine guns on both sides of the fuselage. they all marveled at the sight.
The mane six approached the vehicle. Twilight was studying it’s machinery, Rainbow dash was just laying on top of the biplane probably snoozing, Rarity was marvelled by the design of the plane, Pinkie was in the cockpit pretending to be the pilot, Applejack just stared at it with Fluttershy behind her. Tails was working on the plane and working out possible future kinks, Twilight came up towards him in which Tails looked at her while she was gazing at him.
“Uhhh… need something Twilight?” Tails asked in which snapped her out of her trance.
“O-oh umm… I’m fine! Just wondering why you showed us this uhh…”
“Biplane?” Tails answered her.
“Y-yeah!” She said with a bit of a blush on her face all Tails could think is:
‘Weird…’
“Well i wanted to see your leaders in person to tell them about dr eggman. So that they could be read for any kind of assau-” He was then interrupted by the start up of his biplane and then a huge explosion came from the engine. Tails ran over to Pinkie who’s hair deflated. There was smoke coming out of the engine as Tails walked up to the engine.
“I'M SO SORRY!” Pinkie said while she started to tear up. Tails instead just looked confused.
“It’s not your fault entirely, I haven't repaired the tornado in a while. But next time, be a little bit more careful, Kay?” She nodded while Twilight came up to Pinkie to scold her.
“Pinkie what were you thinking?! You could've gotten hurt! I don't even know if he could fix i-” she was interrupted by one finger touching her lips.
“Twilight, I've built a TV out of paper clips,”
“What's a TV?”
“and reprogrammed a super computer using dishwashing detergent and a toothpick.” He said while she still remained confused. His hands now on the engine of the bi-plane
“Okay?” She said while she looked at him still lost.
“So look, fixing an engine on a bi-plane? That's about as difficult as taking a nap!” he said as he finished and motioned pinkie to turn on the engine. Soon as she did, he then spinned the propeller, alarming a sleeping pegasus on the wing that suspiciously, did not wake up during the incident.
“WHAT THE HAY?!” Rainbow yelled as Tails and the rest of the mares laughed hard. She then blushed and turned away. Tails then told pinkie to turn off the engine which she did. Tails then wipes a tear from his eye.
“Man I haven't laughed that hard ever since we call Eggman Baldy Mcnosehair.” he said as the mane six giggled at the nickname. Twilight then patted his shoulder in which he turned around to a slightly blushing mare.
“Huh? What is it Twilight?” he asked in which she started to stutter.
“I-I-I was wondering if you could teach me about machinery l-later on… if that's ok with you that is!” she was visibly flustered and so was Tails.
“U-uhh sure.” He said rubbing the back of his head with a bit of a blush as Rainbow sneaked her way in the middle of them.
“Looks like Twilight has a coltfriend.” She said smugly. It only took two seconds for Tails to figure out what she was saying. Which in response, he blushed. Now Tails has weaknesses, but one of Tails' bigger weaknesses is his meekness towards women. He is easily flustered, something typically attributed to his young age. This allows him to be easily manipulated by Amy's overzealousness or Rouge's flirtatious nature should they want his help. So in short, he was a stuttering mess.
“N-N-N-N-No! Were not t-t-t-that! I swear!” everyone except Tails and Twilight were laughing.
Tails and Twilight were at her treehouse while the rest were on about their daily activities. Tails taught Twilight numerous things about how to fix things in Equestria that were considered impossible. Often she would look at Tails and both of his tails and when he turned to her, she would blush. Soon he called it a day and that's when Spike entered the library and saw Tails.
“Umm Twi, who or what is this?” Spike said as he eased his way to the two tailed fox. Tails waved, causing him to flinch a little.
“My name is Miles Prower, but you could call me Tails. And for your second question, I am a Mobian Fox. Might I ask what is your name?” Tails asked while extending his hand. Spike hesitated for a second, but shook his hand.
“Spike The Dragon. By the way, why do you have two tails? Is it regular to see people like you where you are from?” Tails shook his head and explained that he was born with them and how he could fly. Spike laughed until he took flight, in which his jaw hit the floor. After introductions, tails’ stomach began to rumble out loud. Tails had a look of embarrassment on his face as Spike and Twilight laughed out loud.
“If you are hungry, then I know a place that is just a few miles away from here.” Tails smiled at her, in result she blushed as the three left the treehouse. Little did they know, or anyone for that matter, there in the night sky, something is barely visible… something mechanical.
One walking scene later…
The three arrived at what seemed to be a building… made out of gingerbread. Tails wasn’t shocked by this because if he wants to save himself some of his rings, then he won't stress out about how this defies laws of physics. He opened the door to reveal darkness. He walked in haphazardly into the building.
Tails had a night… a crazy night. Pinkie threw him a big welcoming party and invited the whole entire town and Tails in lack of better words, was dumbfounded. He didn’t want to stress himself over it because Twilight said she was just being Pinkie. He would normally get a little irritated at this, but how she pulled out a huge freaking cannon that shot out confetti out of nowhere, he’ll take that answer for now. Somehow, mint candy and a big vanilla ice cream cake were there and tails were enjoying every second of it. It also turns out that his favorite candy was mint and also vanilla ice cream cake is not so good with mobian fox fur. Pinkie Pie decided it would be a good idea to start a cake fight which led to her hitting Tails with his entire cake. He laughed until it started to restrict his movement when the party ended. Twilight insisted that Tails stay at her house in response, Tails said no testing on him without consent which she nodded. Fast forward to when he is at her house, he was just wrapping things up in the shower and walked into the guest room where he dried himself up. He then pulled a notebook out of one of his twin tails how it didn’t get wet was beyond his concern. He then opened it and started to write in it

So… I did not know that a normal Saturday afternoon led to me being thrown into another world. I'm not complaining, but it is confusing as to why eggman would teleport me here to help him. In fact, I do know why he did that. It's because he is just too old to do stuff by himself. But on another note, I met some interesting people… er… ponies that were nice of accepting me into their world. One of them is a mix of Knuckles and Sonic. Both fast and ignorant. But she made up for it in the end though. One of them is even letting me stay in their house as we speak! But I do miss Sonic… and since eggman is here and sonic usually handles situations like this, i fear the worst could happen here… and especially to Twilight… I've changed a lot since I started hanging out with Sonic, but I can't depend on him forever. I know I can do this by myself!
Tails finished his writing and went to bed, forgetting to close his Journal in the process. Twilight then opened the door to his room conveniently when he went to sleep.
“Hey Tails, are you aslee-” she was interrupted by a semi loud snore coming from a sleeping fox.
“He looks peaceful when he sleeps. Wait what?! That's creepy!” She thought to herself as she looked at the twin tailed hero. She then without thinking, tip-toed into his room and towards his desk. She then saw his Journal wide open for the world to see. Her mind raced at what it could be about, machinery, science, about his race. But instead, she got a diary about how he was confused and somewhat worried. But what got her most was her name. Her name was in there and he was worried about her. She blushed and looked at Tails, he was still asleep. She quietly approached his bed and smiled at him. He was the first to take interest in most of her hobbies and she considered him a friend.
“Goodnight Miles…” She then quietly left his room.
