Twilight wears a different costume for Nightmare Night.
Twilight Sparkle goes trick or treating with Spike even though she doesn't want to because of what happened last time. So, in order to escape of being ridiculed of her costume changes, she goes as somepony else.
"Hey Twilight, are you ready for Nightmare Night?" Spike asked as he stood at the doors waiting for Twilight. He started to wait for her a little more. He continues to wait. Then, he had enough and went to where Twilight would mainly be, the library. He was wearing a gray suit with star-shaped plates on his back that glowed blue. The suit, however, didn't hide his tail point, but it was a perfect fit. Unlike all other Nightmare Nights, he wears a dragon costume. One was a purple one during his first Nightmare Night in Ponyville. The second one was when Fluttershy managed to scare him, Twilight, and the rest of there friends. His suit cover his forehead with glowing blue eyes. The neck had 6 gills; three on each side. He was dressed as the newer Godzilla of the Monsterverse. As soon as he made it to the library, he found Twilight, not wearing a single piece of fabric. "Uh, Twilight, you do realize that tonight's Nightmare Night, right?" He said as he pointed his left finger at her.
"Yes. But due to the last time we celebrated Nightmare Night in Ponyville, I was completely ridiculed when everypony guessed so many things of who I was dressed up as. Not to mention that Nightmare Night was almost cancelled by the one who represents it when ponies kept screaming and running away from her in terror," Twilight pointed out. "So, why should I dress up for tonight?" She asked as she placed her eyes back into her book.
"Okay. I get it. You're upset about what happened that time. But please do it for me; we haven't spent much time together because of your duties as a princess," he said as he walked outside the library.
Twilight looked to her right at where Spike left through the doors. Then, she places her book down on a table on her left thanks to her magic and sighs in depression. But that was all done and gone when she heard a doorbell.
Spike was waiting yet again for Twilight. Only this time, she's in the bathroom. "Are you almost done, Twilight? Nightmare Night is hours away before it's over," Spike said as he stood outside.
"I'm almost done, Spike. Hold your horses," Twilight said as she then pauses. "I mean, don't get your scales any hotter than they already are."
Spike crossed his arms. Soon, after a few more minutes, the bathroom door opened up. And blue mist has appeared from within. Next, a figure came out that resembled Nightmare Moon. It was Twilight Sparkle, yet her costume says otherwise. Her feet were cover in light blue shoes. Her tail and mane were in a blue starry tail and flowing mane. She worn a light blue regalia on her neck. Her hoodie has blue eyes with cat-like slits. Her hoodie also donned a light blue helmet with long horn. And her skin color was entirely black except for her head.
"Twilight, you're dressed as Nightmare Moon?" Spike said.
"I'm afraid so, Spike," she said as she then sat on her haunches, revealing a zipper handle located under her flank. Not to mention that her costume is entirely big.
"I think you're going to end up as a laughing stock, Twilight," Spike said.
"You think?" Twilight questions him. Twilight looked down at her collar and saw that the moon was actually a button. "Hm, what does this button do?" She asked and pressed the button which looked like a moon crescent. Then, the zipper disappeared along with the zipper line. "Um, that's new," Twilight said.
After the zipper disappeared, the suit then glowed blue and started to tighten onto Twilight's body rapidly in a short second. "Okay then, now THAT'S new," she said. Then, both Twilight and Spike heard hissing and looked at what was causing it: the button. Blue mist emitted from the button. The mist caused Twilight's costume to tighten more and get hot from within; makes Twilight start sweating from all over her body. "Too tight, and too hot," she said as she then stuck her tongue out, only to find out that it was more longer than her normal length. Then, the eyes on her hood disappeared along with her horn. Then, a wisp of the blue mist flew into into Twilight nose after she inhaled it by accident. Next, Twilight quickly placed her hooves on her head as a big headache appeared which caused her to grunt in pain. Spike stood one step away as he looks in horror at what's happening to his big sister. Twilight could feel her entire body writhe in pain as the suit contuined to tighten more. Not only that, Twilight's mane and tail burst out in flames until they become ethereal. The hood started to melt all over on Twilight's face and stopped. Twilight felt her teeth hurt as they menacingly turned into fangs. Then her muzzle started to grow as well. Her horn grew longer; her legs grew in length; her chest grew bigger, and her wings felt heavy as she felt like she can barely move them. Her body started growing in length and width as her muscles grew. Twilight looked at her hooves until her eyes started burning and had to cover them. Finally, with one more painful cry of fear, Twilight falls to the ground; unconscious due to what she just went through, but only for 10 minutes. For she felt water being splashed on her.
"Twilight, are you alright? Or are you even still you?" A male voice said.
"Yes, Spike, I'm alright. But..."
"But what?" Spike asked as he held a handle of a gray bucket in both his paws.
"What did you mean by me "still being me?" Twilight asked.
Spike placed the bucket down. "Wait here," he said as he ran to Twilight's left side of her eyesight. Then, he came back from the bathroom, AND from Twilight's left side of her eyesight once again, and stood in front of her. He used pulled a purple handheld mirror from behind his back with his right paw and placed in front of her eyesight. Twilight widen's her eyes in fear of what she saw in the mirror: a reflection of her now turned into Nightmare Moon.
(Flameboy) Her reaction is this in the next chapter...
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" Twilight screamed. "I'm now Nightmare Moon?! This suit turned me into Nightmare Moon?!" She says in panic. Then, a blue flash appeared in front of Twilight and Spike.
It was Princess Luna!
Twilight galloped over to Luna in panic. "Luna! Thank goodness you're here! Someone gave me an enchanted costume that turned me into Nightmare Moon! And I can't take it off! Do you think... Wait a minute, why are you smiling?" Twilight asked the smiling night princess until she came to realization. "YOU GAVE ME THIS COSTUME?! WHY?!" She asked her in worry and panic.
"Fret not, Twilight! I made sure this costume can only turn you physically into Nightmare Moon, not mentally into Nightmare Moon. Since you helped me with that one Nightmare Night holiday, I thought it would make perfect sense to repay the favor," she answered.
"BY TURNING ME INTO A FORMER VILLAIN THAT EVERYPONY HATED?!" Twilight shouted until she covered her muzzle with both hooves as she discovered that she now has an amplified Canterlot Royal Voice.
"It was either Nightmare Moon or countless other villains. Such as the likes of Discord who used his Chaos magic to twist the minds of your friends, caused Applejack's home to start flooding, then betrayed your friendship for power when teaming up with Tirek."
"Okay," Twilight said longingly.
"Chrysalis, who imposed as your former foalsitter, tricked your brother and your friends, including Spike and my own sister, into accepting her, causing you to be kicked out of the wedding as well as being abandoned by your friends, Spike, and even Celestia. Not to mention she later on in life kidnapped you, me, and every other important pony and fed off on our love; leaving us weak to break free."
"Now you're reminding me of Zecora."
"Let's not forget that the Shadow Pony would've probably purposely give up Stygian and use you as a new replacement for world domination."
"I see your point there."
"We also have Tirek, who stole both unicorn, earth pony, pegasai, Discord's Chaos magic, and finally your Alicorn magic combined with me, Cadence and Celestia's. Or when Sombra returned and turned all your friends into mindless/possessed zombie slaves in his army for conquest. And let's not forget that Cozy Glow nearly got rid of all types of magic if the Young6 haven't stopped her."
"Okay, okay, I get it. I see what you mean."
"Good. Now, take off your shoes," Luna said.
"How? I can't even find the zipper to this costume. And why do I have to?" She asked.
Luna used her magic to pull out a small, rectangular wooden box and laid it down in front of the two. She uses her magic to open it up....
