They seemed normal enough, just regular ponies. Hoof didn't seem to enthusiastic about having to make friends with them, he always said. "We have enough friends at the orphanage... WHY do we need more?" Though he would say it often enough, our mother would always meet his resistance with a simple "Because." She was a hard working mare, she had many things to tend to, dealing not only with her diplomatic career, but also the job of a full time mother. She would always try and teach me how to balance my jobs equally for my future... I wish I would have listened, for now I have a young one of my own. He is very strong, being in the state he was not even 2 months ago. SkyBreaker... I have High hopes for you, and I know you will be a very strong stallion later in life.

She was met with some resistance as Hoof would always complain about doing anything other than sleeping or eating. But he was never to friendly around other ponies, he was not rude, he just didn't feel comfortable talking to people he did not know. "I don't see how you can be like this to me, but never seem to like interaction with other ponies." my mother said sounding very irritated and trying to pry Hoof off of his bed. "UNHAND ME!" Hoof shouted at the top of his lungs, I laughed and started to tend to my mane, We were able to get Hoof out the door and towards the school, but every step we took we always seemed to get a complete monologue from Hoof I didn't see it as something to be very aware of, mostly due to the fact that he would become quiet as soon a we reached within earshot of anypony, but my mother would always try to keep him quiet, probably because she was already irritated by him that she didn't want to hear it but he would continue dispite my mothers best efforts.

"Welcome! Welcome! come in and have a seat, class will start shortly." the teacher said in a very cheery sounding voice. 'We are going to have so much fun!" she continued, it was all a ruse, although when I was younger I didn't notice, now that I look back on it, I can't get over how cheesy she sounded. I think Hoof caught onto it earlier than I did, because I heard him chuckle next to me.

I can't remember much from that day, but what I do remember is that I made 2 new friends, DawnBreaker and SkyChaser.

After school had ended, Hoof and I ran back home to the orphanage knowing my mother would not be home until later that evening, when we arrived back at the orphanage Hoof went straight to his bedroom to sleep, while I went to the library to study my magic, although my horn was broken at a very young age I was still able to use it. When my mother had arrived, she was very tired and told me to go to bed for I was a young Philly, and I should not be up so late, so I did what mother asked of me.

The next day we were split into 3 groups, Pegasi, Unicorns, and Earth ponies. Being the fact that my most dominant feature was wings I went with the Pegasi. we were learning how to fly, I being one of the only one who could amazed the teachers, looking back at it know, I can understand why, being as young and as small as I was, would amaze even the princess herself.

SkyChaser wasn't very happy that I was getting all of the attention, so he did a little performance... long story short it ended when he broke a wing and almost every widow in the school house.

Multiple Years later I fell in with a bad crowd, so to say. A band of thieves and liars, my mother was not very happy, in fact, once she had to chain me to my bed just to keep me in one place. One of my many regrets is that I got Hoof mixed up in all of it... so many things changed in him, none of it good, he disappeared about a month later. After he left, my mother didn't think of me the same, she looked at me as if I was a monster, she treated my like I was a stranger, I was lucky if she would even talk to me... but when she did... nothing was good. When I was old enough to live on my own she made sure I got out. She handed my a purse of 5,000 bits and said "Just go." I stayed with Dawn and Sky who were already thinking of getting hitched.

I stayed with the for Three and a half months, at which point I rented an old one story house that felt like home to me, not only because it was homey, but also because it was my original school house. When I was 25, Dawn and Sky were going to have a child together, when I received the news, I was an Officer in Princess Celestias royal guard. I was a very decorated solder and was later given an Honorable discharge due to an illness that I am yet to recover from.

A month after my discharge Dawn had her young colt, he was healthy and a true blessing. But Dawn wasn't as happy as the rest of us, she refused to believe it was hers, when I asked her why she responded with "He is not a Pegasus, nor a Unicorn." this was a shock to all of us. But after much convincing, she took the baby home.

Three years passed and the young colt was still unable to walk, after further investigation it turns out that she was stabbing him in the legs with her horn, and constantly throwing him from place to place. When Sky and I confronted her, she attacked me and killed Sky, if it weren't for a guard hearing the cries of the young colt, I think she would have killed me,. I recovered from my injuries and took the young colt to care for, its been a year, and he has become a strong young Pegasus Unicorn, already able to fly and is as I write this he is reading Star Swirl the Bearded's book on the Omniamorphic spell, and I have named him. SkyBreaker.
