Chapter 1: Gaming World

Dear Diary,

Today i died, the end.

Just kidding, this story isn't even halfway done, I've got years of misery ahead of me. Allow me to introduce myself, I am Jackson, Jackson Krul. I'm a Gamer, and this is my story

Here I am, floating around in an endless void of white light, you see, I'm pretty sure I'm dead. This must be Purgatory, the world between world's, the afterlife's waiting room.

"Not quite my child," rang a soft motherly voice "But a good guess nonetheless."

"Then where am I?"

"You are dead, but it appears you're not supposed to be, how peculiar that he'd send you to me," said the voice softly.

"Who's 'He' exactly?"

The voice giggled "God, well the God of Your Universe."

"There's more than one God?"

"Well yes, but actually no," replied the voice.

"Care to explain?"

"Existence is broken up into twelve universes, each of these universes was created by a 'God.' I am the creator of a universe more commonly known as as 'Equus.' A universe you will soon cohabitate in."

"So you're sending me to your universe?"

"Yep! Though I'm not sure why Deus sent you here as apposed to simply resurrecting you. Then again, he's REALLY lazy, so it makes sense," replied the voice with a jovial tone.

I laughed in return.

"I don't mind, I needed a new Champion anyway, someone to look after and care for my youngest daughter. In the end, it's less work for me to do. The real problem I'm facing is, what abilities do I give you? Mind if I peruse your mind for a minute?"

"Aren't you a, you know, Omnipotent Goddess, do you really need to ask my permission on anything," I asked curiously.

"I don't like revoking free-will, so yes, I do have to ask permission, don't want to be charged for Mind Rape, now do I?"

"That makes sense, alright, sure go ahead and molest my mind," I replied jokingly.

"I'll be gentle," she said giggling.

I felt a sudden surge of energy rip through my body, but it didn't hurt, it actually felt rather soothing.

"Hmm, you seem to have a massive fascination for these "Games," as well as magic, yes... this will do nicely."

"So, was it good for you too?"

She giggled "Hush, I'm beginning the construction of your physical body, so relax, and try not to make me laugh, breaking my concentration could result in dire consequences."

"Can I at least get your name?"

"Faust, it's a pleasure."

My body started to feel hot, like Angelina Jolie levels of hot. Soon the white background faded, and a distorted myriad of colors started swirling around me.

Good Luck, you're gonna need it."

My vision instantly darkened.

I awoke shortly after in a long corridor. Large windows to my left, and tables with flowers on top, to my right. The corridor was ornate, white walls with gold inlays. Quite the sight to behold.

A screen popped up in my face.

Welcome Gamer to Equestria, your stats will now by configured.

After a few seconds I heard a ding, and the screen changed.

"This... is all super surreal," I muttered.

"Did you hear that," said a voice down the hall.

"Let's go investigate," said another voice.

Coming around a corner, spears in hand, were two four foot tall, bipedal pony creatures.

"Halt, state your business here in Canterlot Castle Creature!"

"I come in peace, take me to your leader," I replied, holding up two Spock hand signs.

"Come with us, and no funny business!"

I tower over these little guys, so cute. I decide to comply with their demands, but as we were walking, I noticed a bubble over each of their heads. They read as followed.

Silver Hoof: Lv 14 Guardsmare

Iron Shield: Lv 12 Guardstallion

A sudden ding attracted my attention to the screen in front of me.

New ability learned "Observe." By looking at a person or object, you can learn more about them, the higher your level, the more you can learn.

Huh, that'll be useful.

I soon came upon a set of double doors, the two guards stationed at each side opened them without a word. Walking down a stupidly long, and obserdly open room, lead me to the foot of a small flight of stairs, with a tone at the top. Sitting upon that throne, was a very surprised looking white pony. This pony was taller than the others, much taller. Standing at about six foot even, a few inches taller than myself. She wore a simply flowing yellow sundress, a large gold necklace with a purple stone embedded in it, and a gold tiara.

This mare radiated energy like a star, a very calm, and oddly soothing star.

"Sup," I gave a curt greeting, one that seemed to amuse her.

I cast observe on her, and oh god is she OP.

Celestia, Princess of the Sun: Lv 69 Battlemage

I'd be fucked if she suddenly decided she didn't like me.

"How odd, it has been several thousand years since I have laid eyes upon a human, to what do I owe this pleasure," she asked eyeing me curiously.

"I, well, I've been sent on a mission by an omnipotent goddess to save her daughter, " I replied honestly, shaking in my boots.

Now, when I said she radiated power, I mean she RADIATED power, my body felt so heavy under her almost motherly gaze.

"I'm guessing my mother sent you," she asked smirking.

"Faust?"

The mare sighed.

"Really wish she'd warn me about these things, I would have dressed better if I knew I'd be getting a visitor."

"Am I in trouble?"

"Depends, have you committed any crimes," she asked raising a brow.

"No, I don't believe so."

Celestia twiddled her fingers on the armrests of her throne, her gaze suddenly much more harsh.

"Do you intend to," she asked, her voice cold like ice.

"No, not at all."

"Then you are not in trouble, so long as things stay that way."

I swallowed hard, finding the ground far more interesting than the Princess sitting before me. I feel like I just got chewed out by my mother.

"With that out of the way, what is your name?"

"Jackson, Jackson Krul, it's a pleasure to meet you."

"I am Princess Celestia, the feeling is mutual."

"Now, come with me, we shall discuss this privately, guards, you are dismissed."

She's scary, but doesn't seem inherently mean, just a bit stern.

God I hope I don't piss her off.

Chapter 2: Mission Start

I had been lead by Celestia to a small room, containing a tea table, four cushions, and a tea set.

During he walk, I had gotten a better look at Celestia. Her body proportions were a little weird. Wide hips, thick thighs, and proportionally short legs and arms. She looked like a cartoonish pony that had suddenly sprouted hands, and decided to start walking upright. More pony than human, she wasn't neccisarially a furry, more Anthro than anything (and yes, there is technically a difference, even though the terms can be used interchangeably in certain circumstances). She also looked a little pudgy, not fat, just... plump.

"Please sit, I'd like to discuss some things with you."

I sat down, wanting desperately to stay on her good side.

"Tell me about yourself," said Celestia, dainty pouring two cups of tea.

Wasn't expecting that, well alright.

"What do you want to know?"

"Where you're from, what you did for a living, from whom you're descended from, I want to get a grasp on what kind of person you are Jackson Krul. And don't think about lying to me, I'll know."

Celestia used Scary Face.

Jackson is paralyzed.

I gulped nervously again.

"W-well, as you know, my name is Jackson Krul, I'm nineteen years old, I'm an American of Romanian-Irish decent. I used to work as a cook at Mg Ronalds partime, going to a trade scool to get a Business Degree. I get my hazel eyes from my mom, and my black hair from my dad..."

While I was going on my tangent, Celestia simply nodded politely, passed me my cup of tea, and began elegantly sipping hers.

"Tell me about this 'America,' is it your home country?"

"Yes it is," I replied happily.

"What's it like living there?"

"Depends on where you live, Middle America tends to be very calm, the only thing that most people need to worry about is wild animals, maybe a stray storm or two. On the coasts however, it's a little different. The cities are a major factor in this difference, higher population density leads to a higher crime rate. Taking into account the incompetence or corruptness of many police and politicians in these areas makes the whole ordeal worse. But, all in all, there are worse places to live."

Celestia nodded her head, humming softly.

"What about your parents, what were they like?"

"Amazing actually, my Mom's side of the family has lived in the States since the eighteen-hundreds, my dad is a second generation Romanian immigrant, my mom was as sweet as can be, always making sure I was happy and well fed. My dad was a bit old fashioned, always dragging me outside to play catch, or taking me to baseball games, it was amazing."

"Do you also get your pale complexion from one of them? Because the last human I met had... much darker skin? Is it hereditary?"

"My mother is Gaeilic, Irish to be exact, so I get it from her, and yes, it does tend to be hereditary."

Celestia nodded politely again.

"Tell me more about you as a person Jackson, I apologize if I'm coming off as impatient, I'm actually very curious is all."

This lady has one hell of a pokerface, I can't read her at all.

Fucking politicians. (Is joke, please don't freak out)

"I like to think of myself as a kind person, I'm the kind of person that'd go out of my way to help someone."

"Anything else noteworthy?"

"I also tend to be a very bad lier, the guilt eats away at me, before to long I burst."

That actually got a giggle out of her. Progress.

Her passive gaze shifted to a much more mirthful expression, I could even see a little bit of solemn sadness in her large purple eyes.

Her mask is slipping, and she knows it.

"That's quite the relief, I'm sorry if I scared you, but the current situation is quite dire."

"I was kinda worried you'd order my execution with how... I don't know, blunt you were being."

"I'm a Princess, I have greedy nobles, and self-righteous zealots hounding me at all hours of the day, after all this time, I've learned the best way to make progress, is to take a step back and be "blunt" as you so eluquently put it."

"So, what kind of situation will I be dealing with," I asked nervously.

"My sister is returning from her imprisonment on the moon, I want you to help reform her," replied Celestia.

I gulped nervously.

"Is she as strong as you?"

"Under the influence of the Limelight, she is actually slightly stronger, but far better trained in terms of combat than I," said Celestia seriously.

I'm boned.

"Thus why you are not fighting her alone, you will accompany my young student, and assist her in defeating Nightmare Moon."

"Does she know about this plan," I asked, sweat dripping from my brow.

"No, she doesn't, I am leaving it up to her to formulate a 'gameplan' to defeat Nightmare Moon."

"Why do I have the sneaking suspicion you're actually a raging sadist?"

Celestia giggled softly.

"Well, at least I know you'll behave yourself, you wouldn't want to upset me, would you?"

Is it me, or is the room suddenly fridgidly cold?

"Of course not, ma'am, I'll behave," I said nervously.

A message suddenly flashed in front of my face.

New Mission: Harmony Returns

(Warning: This is a Primary Mission and thusly cannot be denied)

Rewards: 75,000 EXP, 2000 Bit's, and a Random Spell.

Failure: Enslavement or Death.

Goodie, this mission is going to be insanely difficult, but hey, that's a lot of good rewards.

"Good, Twilight will be notified of your accompaniment, you will set out in two days, until then you will be provided lodgings in the palace, breakfast is served at Eight Thirty sharp, and dinner at Nine."

Celestia stood up and motioned for me to follow.

She lead me down a flight of stairs and to a much more "moody" part of the castle. The lavish whites, yellows, golds, and purples of the brighter parts of the palace were replaced by dark blues, grays, silver, and the occasional splotches of red. It was a near complete reverse of what I've seen thusfar. And it was beautiful.

"Canterlot Palace, much like the Everfree Castle, is divided into two parts. The right side is the Day Court, it is where I reside, and the left side is the Night Court, it is where my sister will reside once she's freed from her curse."

"You seem really sure if our success," I said thoughtfully.

"Of course, if my mother sent you, she must be confident in your abilities, so I will be as well."

Shortly after you stopped in front of a large oak door, a crescent moon emblazoned on the front.

This will be where you'll be sleeping, there is an en suite bathroom, a bed, desk, and many other things that'll no doubt make your stay pleasant, have a lovely night."

Celestia gave me a wave as she left.

Good God that mare is scary.

Chapter 3: Tutorial

I had awoken the next morning to a horrid sound, a sound that any man would dread at six in the morning, Celestia singing cheerfully.

"Good morning, good morning, it's time to get up, good morning, good morning to you!"

"Mrrfh'" was my reply.

Celestia threw open the curtains, letting beams of harsh malicious sunlight dance across my face. I threw a pillow at her, hitting her right in the muzzle, and buried myself in my large midnight blue comforter. Not caring that I technically just assaulted a monarch.

"Too early, come back when I'm dead," I replied groggily.

"Now now, it's time to get up," was her snarky reply.

Celestia gripped me in her magic, lifting me out of the bed, and threw me into the in suite bathroom. I landed flat on my face, turning around I shot her a vicious glare, which she replied to with a coy smirk.

"You are evil incarnate," I said angrily.

"I try, now wash up and meet me in the Dinning Hall for breakfast."

I did as I was told, though I threw a lot of explicit's at the Solar Monarch.

At least i feel for comfortable around her, it'd suck if i continued to stumble over my words simply because I was talking to her.

I took off my clothes, setting them neatly in the floor beside me. A quick shower will do wonders to wake me up.

A few minutes pass and I'm once again dry, feeling refreshed. Looking down at my clothes on the floor, I realised I was going to need to get more, especially if I was going to be living here.

Begrudgingly I slipped them on before making my way to the door. Once outside the door a blaring white screen appeared in front of my face.

Congratulations Gamer, you have survived your first night on Equus. You'd be surprised by how many die within the first hour.

But that doesn't matter right now, you've progressed far enough to start the tutorial! Bet you feel Special!

Why does this feel so demeaning?

I felt myself sweat drop as I continued reading.

Moving forward, you will be taught the basics of your abilities, your crafting systems, Gamer HUD, and Evolution Possibilities.

Starting with your race:
Hailing from a world devoid of magic, you have a natural Magic Absorption. This allows you to take Mana used to formulate spells, and turn it into Magicka. This ability only activates if the spell directed at you in hostile in nature. Healing spells, Neutral Spells (like telekinesis) cast by friends or companions, or bolstering spells fall under this exception. Magicka is a force only you wield, and thus no creatures on Equus have a resistance to it, aside from normal elemental resistances (Dragons: Fire/ Pegasus: Lightning/ Yaks: Frost ect.).

Similar to Skyrim, though there are some obvious differences. Spell absorption in Skyrim is chance based, but it appears i absorb a set amount from all HOSTILE spells directed at me. So it works similar to ward Absorb, hmm.

WIS has increased by 1 due to your logical deduction.

Your Magicka also naturally regenerates much faster than Mana, but make no mistake, a sufficiently powerful Pony Mage could potentially have you beat regardless.

There are two ways to increase your Magicka Regeneration, Leveling Up and Enchanting.

Crafting Systems:

Enchanting LVL. 15:
Enchanting allows magic users to infuse magical effects into clothing or weapons. As a Battlemage, using both Blade and Spell, this skill is especially useful to you. Similar to the Game "Skyrim, an Arcane Enchanting Table is required, though this is where the similarities end. Unlike in Skyrim, Soul Gems are not needed in order to Enchant objects, instead, you use an Enchanter to directly infuse your Magicka into the selected object. An Infusement Gem can be crafted using the Smithing Skill in order to infuse objects without an Enchanter, though it is inefficient. In order to Enchant something with a Magical Effect you must first understand it. In order to understand Fire, you must feel it's sting. In order to understand Magicka Cost Reduction, you must first learn to efficiently use your Magicka, and so on and so forth.

Smithing LVL. 15:
As implied previously, Smithing is the more Day to Day crafting skill. Unlike Enchanting and Spell Creation, the Smithing Skill is more often used in the more Mundane sense. Repair your clothing? Smithing. Forge a Sword? Smithing. Craft a Splint to set a broken limb? Also Smithing. Despite its name, Smithing can be used for many different things, and unlike the other Crafting Skills, requires nothing but a surplus of resources, and the ingenuity or training to figure it out.

Oblivion Style Spell Creation LVL. Max:

Just like the name implies, this skill allows you to create spells like in EOS Oblivion, the more complex, the more effects a spell has, and the more power a spell has, the more Magicka it consumes to use.

Next we move onto more General Abilities:

Atherian Life Force LVL Max:
Due to your heavy connection to the Realm of Atherius you have an extended life span, similar to an Elf, you have the potential to live for well over a millenia. Note, this is unique to you due to Gamers Body.

Oh shit, that may raise a few eyebrows, namely Celestia's.

Spellcraft Novice

You are new to the ways of Magic, but with time, and a good teacher, you'll become a formidable force.

Swordsmanship Novice:

You are one with your blade! With time and effort, you will become a powerful Knight. Just remember to practice.

Gamers Mind LVL Max:

Perceive life like a Game!
Immune to mind Control, and you do not require sleep, but sleeping is advised.

Gamers Mentality LVL Max (Locked) :

Allows the user to suppress their emotions, to an extent, allowing the user to make rational decisions, even in the most dire of times.

(Note: Overwhelming Grief, Saddness, or Bloodthirst can negate this ability.)

Gamers Body:
Live life like a Game!

Immune to Body Snatching or other abilities that would seize control of the users body.
Allows user to regenerate Health, Magicka, and Stamina through sleeping.
User will still receive physical damage like any other, but will not die until health hits 0. (Results May Vary) ,

Bonding LVL Max:

Allows User to make friends or attract romantic partner(s).

Observe LVL 12:
Allows User to study a person or object to learn more about it.

HUD (Locked)

Portrays Health, Stamina, and Magicka for convenient monitoring.

Also helps User navigate better.

Skyrim Schools of Magic:
Destruction
Restoration
Enchanting

DnD Schools of Magic:
Evocation
Abjuration
Transmutation

1000 Page Spell Book (Guide)

Simply say "Spell Book" or "Guide" and it will appear.

I.D. Create:
Create an Instant Dungeon for grinding.

I.D. Exit:
Exit any Instant Dungeon.

Would you like to enter a Dungeon Now?

Later, Celestia wants to see me in the Dining Hall for breakfast.

Acknowledged!

Congradulations, you have completed the Tutorial!

Rewards:
1000 Exp
Shield LVL 1 (Novice Abjuration Spell)
Freezing Grasp LVL 1(Novice Evocation Spell)
Frostbite LVL 1 (Novice Destruction Spell)
Jace's Robes
Steel Sword

Gamers Mentality and HUD have been unlocked.

You can access your physical rewards by saying "Inventory"

At the bottom of my vision, I saw three horizontal lines, one blue, one red, and one green. I'm guessing Magicka, Health, and Stamina respectively. Neat.

" Inventory, " I said quietly.

A new screen appeared in front of my face, identical to the Skyrim Inventory system.

Opening Apparel I found my new robes.

"I think I just came a little... These are awesome!"

Taking off my old clothes, I slipped on my new robes and used observe.

Jace's Robes (A Class Item)
Increases Spell Damage by 25%
Decreases Spell Cost by 25%
Increases Magicka Regeneration by 100%

"Not Bad, not bad at all. "

Guess I shouldn't keep Celestia waiting any longer.

I approached the door to my room and opened it carefully, standing outside was the same Guardsmare that initially brought me to Celestia. Silver Hoof, I think her name is.

" Greetings, " I said trying to sound friendly.

She turned and saluted at me.

"Private Silver Hoof, Night Guard Division. Princess Celestia asked me to escort you to the Dining Hall," she replied.

" I appreciated it, please lead the way," I said smiling mirthfully.

Honestly, seeing a short mare that came just up to my lower stomach in height saluting and talking like a battle hardened warrior was kinda cute.

She nodded and turned to march down the hall.
