chapter one

“Why did I come with you two again, Mason?”

"You had nothing to do."

I looked at my friend, who dragged me to com-a-con. I wouldn’t dress up like an anime character the same as he did. He had dressed up as Sanji from one piece. As we walked around, I saw a stand full of anime items. I walked over to it as my friend kept walking as I looked around the stand. I looked around and saw all of Zoro's swords.

I smiled then looked at them. “Let me get the swords.” He smiled as he looked down at me.

“Sure, that will be five thousand barriers.”

I looked at him for a second, then smiled as he looked at me.

“In American dollars, it’s a thousand dollars.”

I laughed the took out my wallet then pulled out my bank card. He smiled then took my card then pushed the swords and a strange-looking fruit. My way, the fruit had a tag on the side. The one I was looking at looked like flames. I looked at the tag and read it. “Flame-flame fruit type logia.

“I like you, have a devil fruit and good luck, AHAH!”

Everything suddenly went black as he laughed.

Ponyville Island pov

On the Island of pony walked about the only town on the island. Then a crash came from the everfree Island a few miles away. Six people on the coast looked at the island. Rainbow spoke a bored tone in her voice as she checked over her bow.

“Some of the larger beasts must be fighting again.”

“A new king of the island my being crowned.”

“Applejack, I don’t think we need another new beast king on the island; we get our medical herbs from is a good thing.” Commented Rarity as she cleaned a cuttle with a golden and gem incrusted guard.

“Of what is somepony fell from the sky!”

Pinkie yelled while swinging a massive battle-ax.

“Pinkie, there no way somepony fell from the sky and crashed down that hard. But, even if somepony did, they would die on impact.”

Twilight spoke as she looked through a grimoire given to her by her teacher Princess Celestia.

Twilight looked up at the girls around her with a frown on her face. “Say, we haven’t heard anything from the guards in town about the last pirate attack on the treasure ship last week?”

Donovan pov

I floated in a pinny blackness, unmoving, not knowing which way I was going. Then a blinding light struck me as I started to open my eyes. I saw large trees all around me, and I felt like I was dreaming as I looked up at a bright blue sky. I moved and felt things touching my sides. I looked down, and reality kicked back in as I looked at the swords and devil fruits. I blocked then looked around my area. I was in a dark forest, with my oy light coming from the opening I saw the sky from a moment ago. "What the hell is going on!?" After my yell, I heard something stomping up behind me. I slowly turned my head to see what behind me. I saw a set of yellow eyes a good twelve feet in the air. Without thinking, I scope up the fruit and swords then took off running. I heard this thing behind me as I ran. 'If this is a dream, I want to wake up now!' it was getting closer, and I knew I wasn't getting. I looked down at the fruit in my arms and knew I could save myself it one of them but the curse.

"Get down or get crushed!"

I heard a woman yell, then was a massive log swing right for me. "Buwa!" I dropped to the ground sliding a few feet as the log flew over, and I heard the pained yell of a beast than a crash. I looked back, and I saw the log trap had smashed whatever was chasing me. I signed as I looked forward and found a woman with a light brown tan. She had on clothes like a female Indiana Jones. With a hard cap, a whip on her side. She walked over to me then, grabbed my shirt, and started to yell.

"Do you have any clue how lucky you are?!"

I nodded my head, and she let me go. I got up, and she looked at me for a second.

"You're no herbalist or a treasure hunter, that's for sure. So what are you doing here?"

I looked at her for a second, then I got up then ran away from her. I didn’t know what was going on, and I heard her yell for me to come back; she would help me. I ran through the trees and kept running until I couldn’t hear her anymore. I stopped and looked around to see if there was anything around here. I saw a cave, but I knew there was something there, but I need the shelter. I set the fruit down then drew Woda Ichimonji. I widen my stance then raised it behind my head then grabbed my right arm with my left. “Single Sword Rising Phoenix!” I swung with everything I had and, to my shock, then attacked worked. A blast of air flew from my swing turning the air itself into a blade.

Slash marks formed on the stones outsides the cave mouth, and long cuts formed in the cave. A second later, I heard a roar of pain; then something started to run out of the cave. I readied myself again, then waited for whatever was coming. A second later, a massive lion came running out with its right eye cut out. ”Single Sword Rising Phoenix!” I sliced the beast down the center, and it fell over on its side. I looked down at the creature then grabbed the fruit again. I walked into the cave to see what was in the cave. It was dark, but I could see with the little light I had. When I was deep enough, I saw some more light. I sheathed the sword then started to run for the light. I ran out into the light and stopped as I looked at a ruined castle. There was a small valley to the right with a rope bridge.

“What is this place?”

I looked around as I walked to the old castle. I jumped over a few stones and downed columns as I walked up to the large doors. They were large wood and iron doors. I tried to open them, but they didn’t move at all. I frowned, then set the fruit down again, then drew Woda Ichimonji and Sandai Kitetsu. I swung both swords, and a second later, two blasts of air cut the doors down. I sheathed the swords then walked into the castle then grabbed the fruit. I looked at it as I walked down the halls. When I got to a huge room, I saw two thrones with two large banners. A blue one on the left with a crescent moon, and the right was gold with a sun. I looked at them for a moment, then I walked up to the blue banner throne, then sat down as I looked at the fruit. ‘Is it worth it? I know I’ll be cursed, but I would be all but unstoppable.’ An I looked at the fruit I decided to do it. I brought the fruit to my mouth, then took a bite and was going to throw up from the horrid taste. 'Just one bite!' I choked down the mouth full, then wait for something to happen. Nothing changed, and I felt the same as I always had. Then I felt it hit me, and my chest started to burn, my skin started to turn red as smoke started to come from my mouth. After a few seconds, flames erupted from my body, and I felt like I was coming apart. After a few minutes, it stopped then I stood up with some fire on my shoulder and hands.

“There you are... HOLY BUCK!”

I looked over to the door and saw the woman. “Stay back!” Fire shot out of my hands, and she jumped to the side. I panicked then I clenched my fist, trying to stop the flames. The fires on my hands started to die, and the fire on my shoulders died as well. When it died out, I sighed as I looked around he the woman. I found her hiding behind a large stone. “Um, miss?” She looked up at me then grabbed the whip on her side. She drew it very quickly and swung it at me.

“Whip cracker!”

I jumped away, but when it hit the wall behind where I stood. It broke right through the wall as I landed a good ten feet away. “Wait, please, I didn’t mean to!” She pulled the whip back, then swung it again.

"Whip grab!”

I tried to move again, but I was too late. The whip was on my arm then went right through my whole body, and I started to panic. “What the hell!” I knew it was coming, but I felt it going through my body, one the flames closed. I touched my body as the woman looked at me in shock.

“W-what are you?”

I looked at her and yelled. “I don’t know. I took a bite out of that fruit I have over…” I looked over to the flame fruit she looked over to, and we saw it had turned to a pile of ash. We looked back at each other then she took off running. “Wait!” I ran after her and followed her out of the castle. I chased her through the forest; then I stopped when we reached a coastline. She ran to a small ship. I looked around and saw a second island not too far from this Island, I guess. I looked back over to the ship, and she was already sailing away. I blinked, then it hit me I was alone now with monsters on this island. I looked over to the other island and decided what I was going to do. “I need to get over there, but first, I need to get control over this fruit first and the sword skills.” I turned then started to walk back into the forest and started to go back to the castle. While I walked, I heard another woman yelling, or maybe it was a young teen. I started to run that way, not have all this under control or not, and somehow, I had to help. I jumped over a small cliff and saw a woman with brown skin with white ash on her skin.

Three of these lion things were all around her, and I drew two swords as I fell. “Rashomon!” I drew the swords quickly, killing one of the monsters. I cut the lion in half, and I landed then jumped in front of the woman holding a staff. The other two beasts looked at me, then jumped at me. I turned the blades to the side then jumped up. “Tower climb!” I killed another one with two slash marks going up its chest and face. Tower climb return!” Two more air projectile slammed into the back of the beast, and it fell to the ground dead. I landed back on the ground then looked around. I looked at the woman, and she sighed then smiled at me.

“I thank you for your aid, but I must say you didn’t have to slay them this day.”

She was talking in rhymes, and I smiled as I looked at her. “I know, miss, but if you were hurt, I would be full of remorse. And, I must say I like how you talk. Rhymes are so hard to do right.” She smiled as she walked past the bodies of the best.

“Well, if my rhymes are what you like, maybe you’d come to my house for dinner tonight?”

I laughed a little then, not my head. “Sorry, miss, but I have to start training because of this.” I held my hand up then flames erupted from my hand. She looked at me, shocked as she looked at it.

“Mage is in my gaze!”

She smiled as she looked at me.

“Say would you like to train with my friend someday?”

I nodded as I sheathed my swords then started to walk away. “No, but thanks for the offer. I need to go and get ready for tonight.”

“Very well; I hope the night sees you well.”

I waved as I walked back into the darkness.

Daring do pov

Pov I sat on my ship as I looked back at the Ever free island, unsure what I really saw. I took my notebook and then took my pen out then started to write out a note about the strange man I saw.

‘A young man maybe five foot-seven a strong build with long blonde hair with brown eyes. Around his early twenties. He has some form of magic I’ve never encountered before always the attack was sent right through his body. But one strange thing beyond this magic I noticed was that he was carrying three swords.’

I finished writing and stood up, then started to use a magic gem on the mass. A strong gust of wind blew into the sail, taking me away from the island. I didn’t feel right leaving him there, but I had no way to know what to do if something happened. After an hour, I was across the channel, docked in ponyville docks, and jumped off the ship, then started to run to the golden oak’s library. Everyone looked at me as I ran up to the door. I slammed the door into the wall, and I saw the elements of harmony in the main room. They all looked at me as I gasped for air. “Call the princesses! We have a big problem on Ever free Island!”

Donovan pov

I sat next to a fire with a large piece of meat cooking with Zecora sitting on the other side, making tea.

“How has your two weeks here faired, I hope you faced no despair.”

I smiled as I looked at her as she grabbed the long spear and held a piece of meat out to her. She smiled as she took a knife out then cut a chunk of flesh out then places it on a large left. I grabbed a large piece of meat then took a bite out of the chunk. As I chewed, a branch snapped to outright. We jumped up, weapons in hand, ready for an attack. Zecora had her staff, and I had a ball of fire in one hand and Shusui in my right hand. We watched as seven people walked into the clearing I had made while training my flying sword attacks. Seven were in gold armor, with one woman in the back in purple armor with gold trim. I put myself in front of Zecora as I looked at them. “What do you want?” The man in the purple armor walked out from a trident in hand with a shield on his back.

“We're looking for someone that matches a description given us to the crown by a miss Daring Do. You match the description, so we need you to come with us for questioning.”

I looked at him for a second before remembering the first woman I meet. “You mean the woman who I almost burned by accident?” He nodded then I sheathed Shusui as I looked at him. “I’ll come without a fight.”

“WHAT?!”

Zecora yelled behind me, and I looked back at her. I took my swords from my side then held them out to her. “Hold onto these for me, Zecora, and I’ll be back in a few hours.” She nodded, a little worry in her eyes as I turned, then walked over to the group of guards. They pulled out a pair of cuffs, and I let them cuff me before we started to walk. As we walked, a few of them looked at me, surprise on their faces. I looked at the leader, and he spoke.

“We weren’t expecting you to go without a fight. In fact, these are some of the top elite guards of the sea marines. We half expected you to be a pirate or maybe an enemy of the nation.”

I laughed as I held the cuffs up, a smile on my face. “I have no reason to fight with you, plus I didn’t mean to shoot fire at her, so I have nothing to fear by coming with you.” He smiled as he looked at me, then stopped and the rest of us did as well. He pulled out a key uncuffed me to my shock and the elite's shock.

“I’m a pretty good judge of character, and I don’t feel that you're going to attack me or the others. Besides, you left your weapons behind instead of making us fight you for them. Your flames will be fine as long as you wear this.” Once he had the cuffs off, he pulled out a black ring with a large red gem.

“It’s a magic blocking ring; if you wear this, then you can walk without the cuffs.”

I smiled, then took the ring then put it on. He nodded, and we were on the way again. Not too long after, we started to walk again. We walked onto the beach and walked down the beach until we walked up to a large ship. We walked on board; then, as we were about to set sail, we heard yelling. Zecora came running out of the forest with a larger bear coming out after her. I turned, taking off at a sprint to the side of the ship. I grabbed three swords as I ran past the elite guards. I jumped over the ship's side; as I landed, I put my hand and swords over my mouth and swung forth a forward descending slash with them. At close range, it would incapacitate this thing at least. I slashed the beast leaving a long slash mark over its chest, and blood flew in the air. As the beast fell, I ran over to Zecora, grabbed her, and then ran up to the ship again. Once on the ship, I yelled out for them to get moving. After a second, they got to it then activated some large set of gems. A large green light flashed on, then the ship lurched forward, and we were on our way. Zecora dropped my swords to the sides as she clung to me. I spit the sword out of my mouth then dropped the other swords to my sides.

“What was that?”

I looked up at the leader and hugged Zecora as I started to explain. “Santoryu is my sword fighting style. You wield three Katana, one in each hand and one in my mouth. There are many different techniques for this sword style, including high-speed attacks and direct hit attacks. I can even compress air to make projectile attacks.” They all looked at me for a second then one of them spoke up.

“Can you teach my son and me to use it?”

And that sparked everyone else to ask the same. I laughed, then patted Zecora’s back, and she let me get up as I grabbed Shusui. “Let me show you one of these attacks.” I stood up and walked over to the edge of the ship. I jumped up on the ship's side rail then looked at the bear as it got onto its hind legs. As it stood up, I ready my attack aiming at the bear’s chest. “Yakkodori!” I launched a blue crescent moon-like projectile of compressed air at the bear. A few seconds later, the attack hit, and a massive x formed on the bear's chest. As the bear fell to the ground, dead blood flew from its mouth. I smiled as I looked at the dead bear as it crashed down onto the beach. I sheathed my sword then hopped back down on the deck of the ship. I held my sword back out to the guards, and they took the sword then gathered the other swords. They looked at me with slight fear in their eyes.

“You’ve gotten even better, Donovan; you are better than any beast kin.”

I looked at Zecora as she stood up and walked over to me. I smiled as I looked down at her, a slight blush on my face as I saw a gap in her top. Zecora laughed into her hand, then turned around and walked over to the side of the ship, looking at the island we were heading for. I sat down where I was in everyone's sight, so they knew where I was and knew I wasn’t going to do anything. Halfway through the voyage, Zecora came over to me with two trays of food in hand with one of the rings on her right hand. I smiled as I looked at her as she sat down beside me as we ate while the guards started to eat ass well. Another hour went by, and we arrived at the island and disembarked from the ship. Zecora walked to my right as the guards walked us down the street in the middle of the town. We soon walked up to a town hall, walked into the hall, and sat down in a cell. Zecora didn’t have to, but she sat there with me as we waited for whatever was going to happen.

“Come with us, please.”

I looked over to the cell door and saw two women. One was dressed as a cowgirl with long blonde hair and green eye. She had a large hammer in hand. The other woman had a bow and arrow on her back. She was a sporty-looking girl with a head of long rainbow head of hair. I nodded, then stood up and walked over to the cell door and pulled it out as the cowgirl reached for a set of keys. They looked surprised, but I explained the guards hadn’t locked it since I can freely without a fight. They nodded, and the four of us walked into an office where sat four more women. A woman ina dress with a cutlass on her right side with a head full of curry purple hair. Beside her was a woman with a head full of puffy pink hair. She was in a shirt and skirt combo with a large battle-ax at her side. Beside her was a long pinkie hair girl in a yellow sweater with a green skirt with a medical bag in her lap. The last one sat at the group's head with a book in hand, reading as I took a seat with Zecora being told to leave by the cowgirl.

“But…”

“It will be fine, Zecora go on ahead, if need be, I’ll handle it, ok?”

The one holding the book looked up at me, and we locked eyes. She closed the book quickly, making a loud snap as she looked at me. I heard the door behind me shut then I smiled as I looked at her.

“Is that a fact?”

I smiled wider as I looked at her, then held up my hand with the ring up, then set my hand on fire. The ring melted away and fell through my body. All of them looked at me with shock and horror as they looked at me. “Now, what do you need, miss?” She narrowed her eyes as she looked at me then looked behind me. I jumped up as the two women who brought me here tried to jump on my back. I jumped over them and landed on a desk as they all got up then ready their weapons and book. “Come on now, and I don’t want to fight.” They looked at me, and the woman in the sweater slowly walked up to me, then hiding behind her hair. A few of them reach out to grab her, but I smiled and patted her head when she was close. Then she looked me in the eyes, and I blinked as I looked back at her. “If you're trying to scare me, you can’t. Your too cute to be scary, miss.” She looked at me, shocked as she looked into my eyes.

“How can you still talk?”

I laughed, then got off the desk started to walk over to the chairs, and they all looked at me as I sat in my chair. They all looked at me as I smiled at them, and slowly they retook their seats. When they all sat back down, they just looked at me. “So, any questions?”

“What did you do?”

I looked at the girl with the book in hand and answered. “A devil fruit.” They all looked at me; then I sighed as I rubbed my eyes then started to explain. “Devil Fruits are mystical fruits found throughout the world that, when consumed, provide the eater a special ability, depending on the type and variation of the fruit itself. With only one notable exception, an individual can only acquire the powers of a single Devil Fruit. Mine is the flame flame fruit a logia.”

“A logia?”

“ A logia is an immensely powerful and one of the rarest types of Devil Fruit. The only type of Devil Fruit that is as rare as the Mythical classes of Zoans. These Devil Fruits are not limited to the classical elements: fire, water, earth, and air, but also include physical states like smoke and sand. A Logia user can be shattered, split, or otherwise separated into multiple parts, sometimes down to the size of dust, and reform without injury. Another trait was displayed with this ability to recover from physical damage, when one half of the body was able to act freely of the other when cut in half, displaying that part of cut Logia's body can even act in a fragmented state.” They all looked at me, shocked as they looked at me.

“So you can’t take damage no matter what happens?”

I nodded then looked at her. “No, despite the fearsome power of Logia users, they are far from truly invincible. Sneak attacks are more likely to work, as the user will not be ready to avoid them. However, with training, most Logia users learn to transform by reflex, eliminating the ability to strike them by conventional means. For example, there was another logia user Enel's ability has been trained to the point that he could reflexively change form while half-asleep, this could be discussed to also be due to Mantra or Haki.”

“Mantra, Haki?

I smiled as I crossed my arms as looked at her. “Haki is a mysterious power that is found in every living being in the world. It is not that different from the typical senses. However, most people do not notice it or fail to awaken it. Broadly speaking, There are two types of Haki available to everyone, given the proper training, but there is a third type that only a certain group of chosen ones are said to possess. In simple terms, Haki is an ability to sense and predict spiritual energy, use life force as physical reinforcement and, for the rare, overpower enemies' willpower with your own just by looking in the other person's eyes.” All their heads snapped to the long pinkie haired girl with the bag. She flinched as she looked at all of them, and I blinked; then, in a second, the door flew open, and a dozen people fell into the room. It was all of the guards, Zecora, and a man in a white suit with long blonde hair. He was on top of Zecora, and I got a little angry. I got up, grabbed him by the back of the suit then threw him over the desk.

“Wow….”

I picked Zecora up and then helped to get the guards up. “All right, Zecora, they have what they wanted so that we can go.” Before they could stop us, we quickly left the town hall and but not before the guards returned my swords. Then we started to make our way to the coastline.

“WAIT UP!”

I looked back and saw the Rainbow haired woman running up behind us. She came to a stopped and grabbed my shirt, then started to shake me back and forth.

“Tell us how to awaken this haki stuff!”

I grabbed her hands then looked at her with a frown on my face. “I have no idea of how to awaken the abilities of haki. I can’t tell you how to awaken what I can’t even use.” She let me go then she pointed over to a small sailboat on the coast.

“That is a boat for you Zecora, think of it as thanks for of the herds you’ve gotten for you over the last two years.”

We thanked her before we started to ready the ship to set sail. Once ready, I pushed the ship off then jumped onto the ship before touching the water. I made sure not to tell them about seawater's weakness, and I wasn’t going to see it. Once onboard, we looked around the small ship and found a small bedroom with a kitchen on the ship. Once we were far enough away from the shore, Zecora activated another wind gem, as I was going to call them. The wind started to blow as we started to move as I sat down on the deck. Zecora came and sat down beside me. She leaned into my side then spoke.

“I fear the most when Rainbow met us at the coast.”

I laughed, then wrapped an arm around her, and she slowly put a hand on my chest. Her face was a little red as she looked out over the sea. “So, why do you speak in rhymes?” Se looked up at me, her blush getting redder, then spoke normally.

“My people do this to try and find a man or woman to marry. It shows we have a sharp mind if you make a brew of medical herbs to hunting.” I laughed a little, then grabbed her sides, picked her up as I crossed my legs, and sat her down in my lap. Her ears started to turn red as she looked forward. I wrapped my arms around her waist, my own cheeks a little red as I put my chin on her shoulder. “If you want, I can let you go.”

“N-no, it’s fine.”

She was still talking normally, and I smiled as we sailed. Zecora leaned back into my chest and let out a sigh as she relaxed into me.

“Say, why did you really choice to keep coming back to my hut?” She looked back at me, her face still a little red. I nodded with a smile on my face as she looked at me. “Is there something wrong with wanting to see a gorgeous woman?” She looked forward again, then slowly grabbed my hand then interlocked our fingers. I smiled while we sailed then I heard something in the water. “Zecora, get off were not alone.” She looked back at me, then a sea monster rising from the water. Zecora turned white as she looked up at the beast.

“SEA MONSTER!”

The beast was a massive yellow monster with pink eyes, huge fangs, with black spots on the head.

I grabbed on sword then drew the blade quickly; as we looked at it, a red line formed at the beast's neck. The head fell off its neck and into the water. “More like seafood dinner.” Zecora jumped out of my lap and looked at the head of the beast. Then she jumped into the water and swam over to the head of the beast. When she was on top of the beast, she pulled out a knife and cut out the eyes. I blinked as I looked at her as she threw herself back into the water then was back on the boat as fast as she was off. She smiled as she looked at me.

“For a brew I need, this will be all beyond what I need.”

I blinked then stood up. “I see, but I need some meat.” I jumped over to the body as it slowly started to sink. I cut a huge chunk out and grabbed the meat before jumping back onto the small ship. She smiled as Zecora found a bag in the hold and put the eyes inside the bag. I cut up the meat then placed as much as I could in the small refrigerator then started to cook some of the meat. When it was finished, we landed on the coast as we ate some of the meat.

“So what kind of brew do you need those eyes for?”

She looked at me as she cut up the meat on her plate.

“A brew that will help a friend in my homeland. Plus, with a ship, a trip is but a month.”

I nodded, then bite a chunk out of the meat I had.

“Would you like to come with me?”

I looked over at her then blinked as she looked at me. Zecora smiled as she looked at me, then I smiled. “Why not? Maybe I can get my own ship while we’re out there.”

“Maybe you should they and become a pirate captain if they want to treat you like one.”

I thought about it as the sun slowly set. “Maybe.”

Set sail!

I sat with Zecora at a table sitting across from the six women I dealt with not a week ago. They had come to the island wanting to ask me for some help. They said a group of pirate ships was coming this way, and the marine vessels wouldn't get there in time. Twilight spoke up as she looked at the table.

“There aren’t many fighters on this Island, and we need everyone who could fight to help protect the island. I know you don’t owe us anything, but if you can...”

I held a hand up, stopping her from begging for help. “I’ll help you fight under the conditions that people from your island to help build a real house on this Island for Zecora and me.” They readily agreed as it was the best bet they had at making it through the attack. After we finished talking, we left for the beach, we waited for something to happen, a bell sounded, and we jumped up, then rushed to the coast.

"What are we fighting?!"

Twilight yelled up to an observation tower.

"Four galleons!"

I looked out of the horizon to try and see them. I saw four dots from far off ships then I looked at Twilight. "How many people can fit on a galleon?" She looked at me, then spoke.

"Between fifty to four hundred."

I smiled as I looked at the ships, then drew my swords. "Is that all? I may get some practice in this fight." Applejack scoffed as she looked at me.

"What?"

"I don't care how strong you, not even you can take them out alone."

I smiled as I looked at her. "What would you give me if I can destroy one of those ships in one shot?" She laughed, then pulled at her top, pulled it a little.

"I'll let you feel."

I laughed a little as I looked at her then looked out to the sea. After half an hour, they were a few hundred meters away from us. "Hiken!" I turned my fist into flames and launched it as a column of fire at the two closes galleons. This attack is so incredibly powerful as it blew through both ships in one shot. Once they were a hundred yards away, I drew my swords then put the Wado in my mouth then ran as fast as I could, then jumped, using a burst of fire under my feet, giving me a bust as I hopped over to one of the burning ships. I jumped out of the burning boat then landed on the third ship in the middle of the crew on the deck. "108 caliber pound phoenix!" I attacked the ship cutting it in half, making a column of water flew up as I jumped up into then cut the ship up another three times. The ship sunk with all hands aboard.

"Getaway!"

I heard someone yell from the other ship then I sheathed my swords before landing on the front of the boat, looking down at the frozen crew. They all looked at me then I covered my hands in my fire as I looked at them all. I covered my other hand in flames as they both turned green. I created many small, glowing greenish-yellow fireballs that float around my enemies. In a few seconds, the whole ship was covered then I clenched my fist. "Firefly burst." The entire thing turned into a fireball as the crew dropped on the deck our fell overboard. I used the same trick of a fire burst as I jumped back to the beach with the battle over. I landed behind the gathered crowd as they all looked at me, shocked at what they had seen. I walked beside Applejack with a smile on my face. "We didn't shake hands so that I won't hold you to it." I started to walk hands again in pockets as I walked back to town to find Zecora. But I noticed as I walked everyone who was going to fight was following me like zombies.

"That was so cool!"

I heard a little boy yell from my right then something grabbed onto my leg. I looked down and saw a boy with brown hair with a thin build. I lifted my leg, and the little guy was holding one for dear life as he looked at me.

"Can you teach me how to do that?!"

He yelled, a smile on his face, and I couldn't help but smile back. "Maybe when you're a little old, what's your name?"

"Pipsqueak!"

I laughed as I grabbed the back of his shirt then pulled him off my leg. "Ok, Pipsqueak, if you want to learn to use flying sword attacks then you have to have a strong body and a strong mind."

"How do you use your mind to sent flying attacks?"

I smiled as I looked at him, then set him back down on the ground. I kneeled to his level then started to explain it as best I could. "Think of it like this, and you can have all the strength in the world but without the mind to use it. You may as well be trying to cut a piece of paper with nothing." He looked at me then nodded his head.

"I get it!"

He smiled then I looked at him a smirk on my face as I grabbed a stick off the ground. "Watch this, in the hands of a true swordsman anything is a blade." I walked up to a tree than in a quick motion I made three cuts. A second later the tree fell to the side. I looked back at him is mouth on the ground as I held out the stick to him. "Cut everything and nothing Pipsqueak that is the secret to all swordsmanship." He took the stick from my hand then ran away, leaving them with that as I spotted Zecora walking. I walked up behind her a smile on my face as I grabbed her side. She jumped then turned as if she was about to hit me but stopped when she saw it was me. She huffed then waved my hands off, and I laughed with a smirk on my face.

"My you are brave, but it may lead to your grave."

I backed off knowing now if she was talking like that I was in trouble. She spoke normally more often, but when she rhymed, I knew she was mad. I quickly walked down the street to our little sailboat then waited. Soon enough, she came up two bags in hand.

"Ok, we're good now so do not frown."

I nodded as I pushed us off then hopped onto the small deck. While we sailed three more large ships with two winged and horned horse of the sail and flag. I stood up and was about to attack when Zrcora grabbed my arms.

"Stop it's the princess marines!"

I stopped as I looked at the ships again as the sailed passed us. I saw some of them looked at us as they passed us and I saw a few who may even give me a fight. I glared at them then smiled as I looked up at them. They docked on the shore when we were about to dock on the small dock I made on the island. When we landed, I tied a rope to the pier as Zecora waited for me on the dock. We walked down the path I cut into the forest the monsters had learned to stay on the far side of the island of in the day time. We walked up to her hut, and I opened the door for her then followed her in. I sat down on the chair we had made out of the stuff from around the forest.

"Say, would you go get something for me?"

I looked at her as she started to cook dinner. "Sure, what do you need?"

"Some of the fruits from the east of the coastline there are wild plum and peach trees."

I nodded then walked out of the hut then started to walk east. A good twenty minutes later, I found a large group of plum and peach trees. As I gathered the fruit, I heard footsteps coming from behind me. I stood up then turned my head and saw a massive group of marines with the girls out front. I set the fruit down then looked at them all.

"Donovan Arethy, you must come with us to the Capital island of Canterlot."

I nodded my head as I reached for my swords and the girls after seeing what I could do they backed away, scared of what I could do. "I don't want trouble but, no I'm not going anywhere Zecora is waiting for me." The marines stupidly charged me swords drawn ready to kill. I drew my swords and started to cut them down as they attacked me. A few even started to fly around, but I cut them down with my flying sword attack. A few tried to attack me with strange energy attacks, but I let then go through my body. I knew what I was doing and what I had done in the earlier hours of the day. As the twenty marines fell, it became clear to them the small force they had wasn't enough to take me on or capture me. I knew it didn't make sense as I killed the men. I didn't understand why I felt nothing as I killed them all; I didn't know how I killed all the pirates without feeling anything.

"Donovan!"

I turned my head slightly to see who yelled my name. It wasn't Zecora's voice; it was the little boy as he looked ar me. I let a sword got through my arm then I kicked the hell out of the man and sent him flying. "Kid you need to leave you don't need to see bloodshed." He looked at me then down at the bodies at my feet. I looked over to the girls then pointed my sword at Fluttershy, making her flinch. "Fluttershy take him and leave seeing this will do enough damage." She quickly ran over and picked him up before running for a ship. I looked at the ten remaining marines as the girls were around trying to save those they could.

"HEY!"

I looked over to the sea and saw another one of the ships coming this way. One of the men I cut down who could still move pulled out a flare gun. I was about to stop him but he fired a canister smile kind with black smoke floating high into the air. A second I looked at the ship again and it was turning. I saw cannon ports started to open up and I knew what was coming. I put Wado in my mouth then readied my strongest attack that I’ve gotten a good grip on. “!08 caliber Phoenix!” I sent the attack then destroyed the ship by cutting it clean in the middle, and I sent another attack their way and sunk the ship. I sheathed my swords and yelled at the marines that were still standing. “The hell is wrong with you!? You’d all have died if they fired on this shore!” He dropped down as he looked up at me.

“I know, but we were ordered to capture or kill you, Sir.”

I grabbed his collar, making him jump. “Why!?”

“You're a threat to ponyville island; they’re worried that you could turn on the Island if they did something to anger you.”

“So, you attack me trying to keep me from getting angry or attacking back?”

He was quiet as he looked at me then I threw him down on the ground. “I see, I help, and I get attack well fine. If you want me to be an enemy, then I’ll be the enemy.” I walked away, going to the hut, but a few of them tried to stop me. I turned and drew my swords, cutting them all as they ran at me. I looked over at the five girls, and they dropped to the ground or backed up, scared of me. I pointed down the coast as they looked at me. “Go down this coast get on that ship than leave. The fallout from this will be bad, and I don’t want you to get drawn into this.”

T-thanks.” They ran off as I walked into the forest heading for Zecora’s hut. I got the hut and found marines holding Zecora down and were trying to cuff her as she fought with her. I drew my sword then started to run at them So of them drew swords and started to charge me. I set my swords on fire as I charged the now scared guards. “Yaki Oni Giri!” I slashed all of them, blowing them away with burning wounds. The remaining marines looked at as I charged them a demon on the hunt. They turned then started to run away scared as they looked at me. I was huffing as I looked at them then turned and cut the cuffs off her hands.

“Donovan!”

She jumped up and hugged me as she started to cry. I half hugged her. She calmed down after half an hour. Zecora stood beside me on her ship as we looked back at the Island. “You sure about this? I could keep fighting them off; it wouldn’t be that hard.” I looked down at her and she as she sighed then nodded as she looked at me,

“No, I wouldn’t ask you to have to fight like that every time they come back.”

I looked down at her and sighed as I activate the wind gem. The ship started to move, and I pushed Zecora to the living area. I sat down on the deck, watching the sea waiting for something to attack. “Where do you want to go?”

“To my homeland?”

I looked back and saw Zecora looked at me. “Ya, I guess I get to meet your family.”
