The Obvious Conclusion

Coco and Applejack have a party to announce their upcoming engagement.

Coco and Applejack still have a young relationship but they don't think that waiting too long will benefit them so they are already announcing their engagement after a mere month.

This is the second part of the series I started a bit ago, shipping the main six with background ponies. Fluttershy will be released later, I have to chop this up a bit, as I'm currently writing five stories at once!

This story is pretty tame (I can't guarantee it will stay that way) but it's teen because some of the others are teen and I don't want this changing on people unexpectedly.

I've added an in story dating system to the stories as the stories are actually somewhat intertwined so for any of you who are reading all of them they'll be easier to line up, the dating system has nothing to do with the real world (except that they coincide with 2019 just so they can be more easily tracked.)
Note on crossover chapters. They are the same chapter in two stories because they are relevant to both. They will say with what story they cross over and have the same (or very similar) titles.
Other Titles:
Rarity and Minuette: Time To Model
Pinkie and Zecora: Secret No More. Romance Galore
Flitter and Rainbow Dash: Overprotective Marefriend
Twilight and Cloud Chaser: Secret Visits
Fluttershy and Octavia: Not Every Song...

Party Preparations (June 7th, Friday morning.)

Apple Bloom and Applejack sat back watching Coco run around frantically as she continued to set things up for the party later. She had been frantic about it last night, and again this morning. They had barely gotten her to go back to Rarity's for the night as she was so busy. Applejack sure wasn't sure what all Coco was doing really, it looked like she was redoing things done to be slightly different. "Uh, sis, she does know it's not until after work right?"

"Yeah, she does."

"Then what's she doin'?"

"She just wanted to make sure everything is perfect." And it did look quite perfect. The strings with celebratory flags were hung, the tables were set out, the chairs, the table clothes, the centerpieces, everything that Applejack could have thought of and then some after Coco and Rarity got done with them. She wasn't sure where the two had pulled all the decoration ideas from but that was their business, hers was applebucking, which she should be doing right now. But she liked watching Coco, she was such an adorable mare.

"Hey sis, shouldn't we be workin'?"

"Yeah, we should."

"Hey, you're grinnin' in that weird way whenever you're watchin' Coco!"

Applejack tore her eyes away from the other mare. "I am not sugar cube!"

Apple Bloom grinned widely. "Were toooooooo! You were thinking about Coco!"

"Consarnit Apple Bloom, I told ya I wasn't daydreaming!"

"Well I just said thinking about her not daydreaming!"

Applejack grumbled and pulled her hat down a bit over her eyes, the best admission of defeat her little sister was going to get who just giggled as Applejack walked over to Coco. "Hey there sugar cube, you doin' ok? You're kinda lookin' a bit frazzled out here."

Coco shook her head, smiling. "Oh no, no, no, I'm good!" She adjusted a centerpiece slightly and grinned widely at Applejack for a moment before blushing a bit and looking away.

"Sugar cube..." Applejack walked up and pressed against Coco's side. "I told you, you didn't need to decide so quick like. I'm perfectly happy if you wanna think about it for a while. Go back to Manehatten and do your job for a bit, let your mind settle."

"N-No Applejack! You asked and I said yes!"

"You sure did Coco, but I'm jus' worried I rushed ya is all. You're... Er... Still young an..."

"Applejack!" Coco actually managed to snap at Applejack, who's ears went down at it, she only really had an issue with one thing, when Applejack brought up their age difference. "I am perfectly capable of making my own decisions!"

Applejack raised her hooves placatingly. "Sorry Coco, sorry. But just... I mean when we make the announcement people'll talk..."

Coco whined gently and pressed up against Applejack. "But that doesn't matter right...? Because you love me...?"

Applejack groaned a little and nodded. "Of course I do sugar cube. It's just... A month isn't a particularly long courtship."

"You're the one who asked..."

"I know sugar cube."

"Are... Are you unasking."

"No!" Applejack's retort came out a bit harsher than she intended but Coco was grinning again, and Applejack sighed, leaning in and nuzzling her marefriend. "I'm sorry Coco, this is just a big step you know. I guess I'm a little nervous."

Coco giggled. "That's my job Applejack! I'm the timid one and you're my big strong protector!"

"Oh, like this?" Applejack pulled in as much air as she could, standing up to her full height and puffing out her chest.

"Yes, just like that Applejack."

Applejack blew out her lung full of air and frowned at Coco. "You know sugar cube I have a question. But it's not about the party."

"Oh?"

"I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm not demanding one or anything, but you don't have a pet name for me."

Coco giggled and raised an eyebrow. "You just noticed?"

"Well no! But I just thought you were takin' your time, but now with the party and all that."

"Hehe, I tried to come up with a name to call you while writing all those anonymous letters but it just seemed so strange... You're Applejack. And... That's the pony I love."

Applejack grinned wide, leaning in and giving Coco a kiss on the cheek. "Aww, ya sappy mare, that was adorable."

Coco grinned and nuzzled into her marefriend before she heard a clucking at her and blushed a little, taking a few steps away from Applejack. "Ya know, in my days mares didn't go pining after their marefriends when there was work to be done." Applejack rolled her eyes as she turned around to see Granny Smith, who was smiling, but obviously, she had a point to get across.

"I hear ya Granny, but..."

"No buts young lady! Get yer flank out there and start bucking!" Applejack leveled her gaze, having a staring contest with her grandmother who sighed. "Fiiiiine, but finish up yer flirtin' fast." The grin on Granny Smith's lips took any bite out of the words. She loved playing the old crotchety matriarch who was there to make sure they didn't put a hoof out of the line of prudence, but really she was just happy that Applejack had finally found her special somepony. She'd been getting worried about her two eldest grandfoals but then like a snap they both found their special someponies. Now if only she could get control over Apple Bloom...

"Sweetie Belle!" Said grandfoal went streaking past Granny Smith's legs to tackle her marefriend, grinning as they rolled a little and ended up with Applebloom standing on Sweetie Belle's chest.

Granny Smith rolled her eyes but smiled and started towards the two. "Now girls... It ain't proper for two young ladies in a relationship to be roughhousing so..."

Applejack grinned as the matriarch of the family was distracted from her and Coco. "But she is right, I do need to get to work."

Coco leaned out and after a glance at the distracted Granny Smith stole a quick kiss on her marefriends lips, blushing gently. "Okay, I'll make sure everything here is perfect."

Applejack grinned a bit brighter, it was rare for Coco to work up the courage for a real kiss. "I'll talk to you at lunch sugar cube."

Lunch. (June 7th, Friday noon.)

View Online

The Apple family and Coco sat down to a large lunch set out by Coco. Granny loved having Coco around as it meant she didn't have to make lunch during the busy times. Usually, Applejack took care of lunch but when there were so many chores to do she couldn't spare the time, and it was hard on Granny's old bones to make lunch, but now with such a young mare about almost permanently, it took a load off her. And Granny would be hard pressed to find a mare more to her liking for Applejack. Perhaps one of the Pies would have been a theoretically better match as other farmers but they were all so... Unique. Quite happy, Granny Smith turned her head to Coco. "Tell me, dear, have you put any more thoughts into a date for the wedding?"

The pause in conversation was deafening as everyone stared at Granny Smith. No one had accused Granny Smith of keeping her peace when something bothered her, she had a question so she asked it. Applejack did her best to redirect her grandmother's questions onto herself. "Uh... No, we haven't Granny, we've only been engaged for a few days give us some time!"

Granny rolled her eyes slightly. "What's the point of long engagements Applejack? When I said yes to your Grandfather I got married a week later."

"Well, this is a lot more complicated Granny! We need to send out invitations, get Coco's folks and kin down here, and all. It's not like we can do that in a week."

Granny Smith nodded, seeming to accept the explanation and Applejack sighed in relief believing she'd just bought them some breathing room but... "So sometimes week after next? Surely not more than three weeks, I mean plans can be changed when something important as a wedding is on the list."

Coco has been turning progressively redder during this conversation, biting her lower lip and looking between Applejack and Granny Smith. Applejack sighed in exasperation, she loved her grandmother but she wasn't going to let her demand that Coco change any plans she might have had because of Granny's ideas of a timeline. "Granny look, I appreciate the input but we'll do things in our own time alright? I'm sure Coco will pick a perfectly respectable time! Wontcha sugar cube?"

Coco looked a bit more nervous than Applejack had expected, Coco had gotten used to the family, then the contents of Coco's sentence explained to Applejack why she was so nervous. "Uh... Actually Applejack I would like to have the wedding soon if you're ok with it..." Applejack just stared at the other mare for a few moments as Granny Smith beamed at the young mare her grandfoal had chosen for a mate.

"Ooh! Do I get to be a flowerfilly again?" Applebloom piped in, just making Applejack groan more, really, did she have to come in against Applejack too?

"I... Gimme some help here Big Mac! You see the logic in giving it a bit of time right?"

"Eeenope."

Coco looked actively concerned as Applejack seemed to be so against it. "Uh... Applejack we don't have to... It's just... I'd like to be your wife..."

Applejack groaned and nodded. "Ok Coco, I'll deal with it... I'll make it work somehow"

Coco bit her bottom lip and looked down at her food, but Granny Smith was there to stand up for the shy mare. "What in tarnation are you talkin' about Applejack!? You asked the girl ta marry you and now you're all hemming and hawing over it? That ain't how you were raised! You don't play with a pony's emotions like that!"

Applejack blinked and then her eyes widened in horror. "What? No! NONONO!" She got up quickly and walked over to Coco as the rest of the table watched leerily, even Big Mac and Apple Bloom's gazes had turned disapproving, and Applejack realized how it had all had sounded. She warped her forelegs around Coco from behind and gave her a large, tight hug. "I'm sorry sugar cube I just realized how that sounded if ya couldn't hear my thinkin'. I do want to marry you."

Coco let out a small sigh of relief and the others nodded, Granny Smith a bit more begrudgingly as that issue shouldn't have come up in the first place but if Applejack hadn't meant it and Coco forgave her all was well. Coco smiled. "What was your thoughts then? Because that did sound bad."

Applejack chuckled a little darkly. "Sorry again." She walked back towards her seat, grinning. "I was just thinking about how much work it's gonna be to get all the dresses and such, and get some fancy band, get one fo them arches, get the food and all. It'll be expensive on short notice too, but we'll get it to work, right Big Mac?" Big Mac nodded, he'd back his sister even if it meant that they had to work extra hard to get the extra bits together.

"Eeeeyup."

Coco giggled drawing a frown from Applejack, and she shook her head. "Applejack, I don't care about any of that, I just want to marry you. " Though after a pause she added. "Ok, I do want nice dresses for everyone, but the rest can take a hike as far as I'm concerned."

At that Applejack absolutely beamed, and Granny Smith nodded in approval. "Well, dagnabit if I didn't get engaged to a most practical mare didn't I?" Coco giggled as she started to clear the dishes from hte table. "Well we're gonna have two big pieces of news to tell our friends, hope they don't have heart attacks."

Coco smiled as she took Applejack's plate. "Well, only one for Fluttershy."

Applejack blinked. "What?"

Coco blushed a bit brighter. "Oh... Well, I kind of told her when I took Winona down to see her the other day..."

Applejack scowled at her for a moment, though everyone at the table could tell she didn't mean it. "Well then everyone else will have two surprises, and Fluttershy will have one."

Party Welcomes (June 7th, Friday evening.)

View Online

Coco and Applejack were smiling and greeting guests as they arrived, Minuette and Rarity were amongst the first to arrive, dressed up in all of Rarity's bells and whistles, though looking at how Minuette tugged at the dress she had made it obvious that this was Rarity's idea, not Minuette's. Both were happy to return Coco's welcome hug before heading over to the party proper, though it was at this point still mostly empty of ponies.

Next to arrive were Flitter and Rainbow Dash, the first thing that Applejack noticed was that though the two were a couple they didn't tend to be overly affectionate, but Flitter was sticking very close to Rainbow Dash. Flitter was usually a very independent pony but today she seemed to be letting Rainbow Dash take the lead. "Hey Applejack, Coco, how are you two doing?"

Applejack smiled at her friend. "Oh, we're good, got quite the party planned for y'all." Coco took a somewhat timid step forward and raised a foreleg offering both the others a welcoming hug, much to Applejack and Coco's surprise Flitter took a step forward and took the hug before quickly retreating back to stand next to Rainbow Dash.

Rainbow Dash smiled a little and leaned in, giving her marefriend a gentle nuzzle before looking back to Applejack and Coco. "That's good, how many ponies did you invite?"

Coco smiled, looking to the side, causing Applejack to chuckle. "Well Coco kind of went overboard, probably half of Ponyville or something?"

Rainbow Dash laughed loudly, grinning at Coco. "Well now isn't that cute? Well, we'd better let you greet your other guests, we'll see you about." Applejack chuckled in return and waved as they passed, glancing over and frowning, pretty sure Rainbow Dash just whispered something to Flitter.

Next came Fluttershy, who was alone, as expected, Fluttershy still hadn't worked up the courage to talk to Muffins, Fluttershy had a really unfortunate crush. Muffins was not a pony to pick up on subtleties and Fluttershy was in no way a direct pony. Applejack had considered telling Muffins for Fluttershy but that would not be appropriate obviously, though she had a time or two considered offering Fluttershy that option she had a feeling she'd be turned down. And anyway, that wasn't the proper way to start a relationship. Next came Twilight, slightly late. Which for any other pony wouldn't be unusual but for Twilight was extremely unusual, the only pony she'd found that was more punctual was Minuette, and she had that entire. 'Oh, I have time magic so I'm never late.' thing going for her. Applejack took a few steps forward, not overly concerned but more curious. "Everything okay Twilight?"

Twilight smiled and nodded. "Oh yes, don't worry about me. I was just spending some time with a friend and figured I could be a little late."

Applejack nodded. "Oh sure thing Twilight, was just unusual."

Coco giggled and smiled at Twilight. "Hello, Princess Twilight."

Twilight rolled her eyes slightly but took the proffered welcome hug. "Goodness Coco, I told you just Twilight. Or should I call you Miss Pommel?"

Applejack chortled as Coco flushed, shaking her head. "O-Oh no Pr... Twilight. I'll get used to it."

Twilight smiled. "Good! I'll see you in the party!" She waved and trotted into the party to let the two hostesses get back to their greeting duties. Applejack narrowed her eyes as she looked down the road.

"Coco, is that Zecora and Pinkie Pie...?"

Coco nodded hesitantly. "Uh... Yeah, I think so, something's off..."

Applejack frowned as she tried to figure out why they looked so weird until she realized that Pinkie was taller than Zecora? Was Zecora slouching? Was she hurt? Then she shook her head, no, Pinkie was just taller than usua... Wait... WHAT!? "Coco, did you tell Pinkie costume party...?"

Coco shook her head. "No..."

"Then what in tarnation are these two up to?"

Pinkie and Zecora trotted up to Coco and Applejack, Applejack had managed to corral her face into something calm and normal, Coco was still openly staring. Pinkie, was, of course, the first to pipe up. "What's the matter? Aren't you happy to see us!?" Pinkie couldn't keep the snicker hidden, obviously knowing why everyone was staring. The normally vibrantly colored pony was grey and a darker grey, painted or dyed to resemble Zecora, even wearing Zecora's normal earrings and her necklace around her upright foreleg. Zecora was painted now pink, with Pinkie's cutie mark painted on her flank.

"Care to explain what's up Pinkie or is this a new guessing party game?" Applejack couldn't help but feel like there was something she was missing here, and she wasn't going to let these two into her party until she knew what it was.

Zecora was the one to explain, however. "It is no game my friend. This new color is a means to an end. Amongst my people this is tradition. For those in our situation. We are courting like thee. Pinkie Pie and me."

Applejack's eyes widened at the ambush but Coco could only let out a loud squee and rush forwards hugging both her friend Pinkie and acquaintance Zecora. "That's great!" Coco smiled a bit sheepishly as she retreated back to Applejack's side.

Applejack smiled a bit. "Well, this sure is a surprise you two, congratulations."

Pinkie Pie grinned widely and hopped around a bit. "We've been dating secretly for six months! I don't know why but it's Zecora's thing, but now we can let everyone know! YAY!"

Zecora smiled, nodding at the statement. "We have indeed. We must give tradition heed. Though to ponies it may sound out of place. My people's traditions I will not outpace."

Applejack chuckled. "Well, I'm sure you have plenty of people to tell, judging by Pinkie." Pinkie was veritably vibrating with excitement and Zecora nodded.

"I will see you two in the party. Telling others our news will make us hearty." Applejack nodded, smiling as Zecora walked past them and Pinkie, after giving Applejack a hug, and Coco another hug she hopped after her.

Applejack looked at Coco. "This is certainly going to be an interesting party sugar cube."

Coco giggled and nodded. "Yep!"

The Announcement (June 7th Friday evening)

View Online

Applejack grinned as she looked around at her friends and their marefriends. While ideally, Applejack would have liked to split her friends off from their marefriends Rainbow Dash seemed completely unwilling to leave Flitter’s side; the opposite true as well. The normally very independent Flitter hadn't left Rainbow Dash for a moment. And Applejack couldn’t let just Flitter come. So Minuette and Zecora were with them too, but that was ok. Applejack liked them all to varying degrees.

Of the three marefriends, Zecora was actually Applejack’s friend independently of her relationship with Pinkie Pie. Due to just finding out about it Applejack didn't know how the relationship would affect her friendship. Flitter was a nice mare, but she was an odd one. Flitter would sometimes simply walk away in the middle of conversations but besides a few oddities, she was a nice mare. Minuette was a bit more trying at times, then a barrel of laughs at other times.

Applejack looked over to Coco who smiled at her and gave a small nod. Applejack cleared her throat to pause the chatting amongst her friends and smiled widely. "Thank y'all for coming. We're going to announce this later but we wanted to tell you first. Me an' Coco are engaged!"

Applejack smiled at the clapping and group congratulations that all came at once. A few moments later however Applejack noticed that everyone seemed to be happy of course, but none were surprised in the least. Applejack looked over at Coco then Fluttershy with a frown, but both of them shook their heads. Applejack cleared her throat and frowned at her friends. ”Thanks for all the support all but who spilled the beans? I was lookin’ forward to surprising you all.”

There was an awkward silence as Applejack looked around the area. No one said anything for a few moments before Rarity cleared her throat. "I'm sorry darling but I know all the jewelers in town and they mentioned it..."

As Applejack turned her eyes on Rarity, thankfully for everyone another voice interrupted Applejacks intended reprimand. "Yeah, I saw you buying it too, Applejack." Applejack's head whipped around to look at Rainbow Dash now. She was legitimately surprised by two of them stumbling across the information...

"Yeah, Princess Cadence sent me a letter." Applejack turned quickly to look at Twilight then groaned slightly.

"Ugh, my heads starting to hurt from all this looking around..." Applejack smiled when she got a good-natured giggle from her friends, looking, calmly this time, at Pinkie Pie. "And you Pinkie?" Though Applejack had to readjust her sight as she turned to look at actual Pinkie Pie, not Zecora painted like Pinkie Pie.

"It's my special talent to know what all parties are about!" Pinkie Pie chirped up.

That Applejack had to nod in resignation. "So... You all seriously found out our secret independently?" The entire group nodded and Applejack couldn't stop herself from laughing faintly, her reveal was ruined but that was a bit amusing. She shook her head and motioned Coco up. "Well, they ruined mine sugar cube. Care to give yours a try?"

Coco smiled and nodded, taking a few hesitant steps forward as she looked around. Coco blushed a little, she was a bit shy but she was no Fluttershy. She straightened up a bit and took in a deep breath. "In addition to the engagement... We've set a date for June 30th for the wedding!"

After a few moments of silence, there was an uproar from the entire crowd of their friends. Fluttershy was clapping happily for them. Rainbow Dash was yelling something no one could hear. Rarity was clapping excitedly while smiling widely at Coco. Twilight was simply staring. Pinkie Pie had produced multiple noise makers and was enthusiastically using them, with a more reserved Zecora helping her. Flitter was smiling, though it seemed a bit forced as she clapped for them. Minuette was grinning in a self-satisfied manner as she clapped. Applejack was sure that was just Minuette being Minuette, being cocky and acting like she knew everything. At least, Applejack was pretty sure it was just acting.

The next half an hour went by Applejack in a blur. Everyone congratulating them, Coco and Rarity freaking out about how short a time they had to get the dresses done. Who was going to be involved on what side of the wedding party took up a large portion of the time. Applejack could barely field all the questions thrown at her by her friends. As bad as it made Applejack feel she was glad that Minuette, Flitter, and Zecora stayed back and let her close friends and Coco do most the talking, though she did get personal congratulations from each of the three.

After all, that was finally done and her friends had departed to finish up the time at the farm in the main party. Applejack let out an exhausted sigh at the end of it, causing Coco to giggle, nuzzling up against her fiancee and saying quietly. "For having such a big family I would have thought you'd have been better at handling so much activity."

Applejack smiled and gave her cute fiancee a kiss on the cheek. "I am but I'm not usually the center of attention for everyone. I'm not great at that sugar cube."

Coco smiled and nodded, looking out at the party as a whole. "Well, I hope you're ready for even worse then, we have another announcement to make."

Applejack groaned as she looked at the large crowd, before turning a fake glare on Coco. "This is your fault, you invited everyone! You are gonna make the announcement this time."

Coco giggled and nodded. "That's fair enough, you look exhausted anyway. I think you'd fall asleep if you tried to."

Applejack laughed as she turned and started leading the way back to the main party, shaking her head. "It's not that bad sugar cube. I'll make the announcement, I know you don't like public speakin'." Coco smiled and nodded, giving a kiss on the cheek to her fiancee.

Dinner Plans! (June 8th, Saturday morning.)

View Online

Coco yawned and stretched as she got up that morning. She was still getting used to how early the Apple family got up but she was adapting. She’d been switching between using the Apple Family’s guest room and staying with Rarity. Coco blushed gently as she realized that in less than a month she’d be living here permanently, and not in the guest room. Bouncing on her hooves she opened the door to find the big red stallion walking past her room. “Good morning Big Mac.”

Big Mac turned his head and nodded to her as he passed in his usual silence. Giving Coco a second silent look as she giggled, and he raised an eyebrow. She waved a hoof and he simply shrugged, continuing his way down the hall.

Coco nearly jumped as Applejack spoke from behind her. “Hey there, sugar cube.”

Coco turned, smiling but blushing gently as she looked at her fiancée. “Hi Applejack, sorry my mind was wandering.”

Applejack chuckled as the two started their way down to the kitchen. “Oh? About what?”

“Oh, just... Big Mac got married but Sugar Belle doesn’t live here... And they didn’t go on a honeymoon...” Coco was sure there were reasons for both but she was a bit nervous about the fact.

Applejack chuckled. “Don’t worry about that sugar cube. Sugar Belle is in Our Town getting her shop sold and tieing up loose ends and such.”

Coco nodded then frowned. “Wait, if she was just in town why didn’t she come to the engagement party?”

Applejack took a moment to process the question before chuckling and shaking her head. “Our Town is the name of her town, sugar cube. She’s not in Ponyville.” Coco nodded hesitantly. “I agree it’s an odd name. As for the honeymoon they put that off until the off-season. And... Well, Coco...”

Coco giggled and decided to not make Applejack broach that herself. “You’ll need to delay our honeymoon too?”

Applejack nodded and grinned. "'Fraid so sugar cube. Though I do need to ask you, how much do ya like this house?"

Coco tilted her head in confusion but smiled. "Oh, it's a very nice house. But... Uh... I don't think we can both live in Rarity's guest room if you mean do I want to move..."

Applejack chortled gently. "Not at all sugar cube. I meant that either we or Big Mac are gonna need to build a new farmhouse. It'll still be on the farm of course. But do you want to build a new house or stay in this one?"

Coco opened her mouth then closed it, taking some time to actually think. "I... Don't really know Applejack. I can't really think of a new house being needed..."

Applejack raised an eyebrow. "Darlin', we have five bedrooms. Two are spoken for with Bloom and Granny. Then mine and Big Mac's. Then the guest room. Even if we don't have any guests, I know Big Mac and Sugar Belle want foals. And we talked about that too." Applejack grinned a bit at Coco's blush. "We need more space for two families."

Coco nodded and looked about the kitchen they'd gotten to after a few long moments of thinking. "I wouldn't mind a new place, but I'd be perfectly happy staying here too Applejack."

Applejack smiled a little wider. "Oh good, Sugar Belle was looking forward to a new, bigger kitchen." At Coco's snicker, Applejack chuckled too. "Oh yes." She raised her voice to be sure that Big Mac in the other room could hear. "Sugar Belle sure does like to cook! That kitchen is going to be huuuuuuuuuuge!" The laughing in the kitchen was redoubled by the groan from the other room.

Applejack smiled as she let herself relax, sitting behind at the table as Coco started to make breakfast. "You know sugar cube, I like your cooking and all, but I was thinking we could do something special for dinner."

Coco glanced over her shoulder from the pancakes she was making, smiling a little. "Oh? What were you thinking Applejack?"

Applejack grinned. "Wellllllllll..." To most people, this idea would be pretty much par for the course. But Applejack was very proud of herself for this supremely creative romantic idea. "I was thinking we could go to Pâturage De Fleurs. Like we did on the first date." The loud squeal and almost torpedo level of velocity that Coco achieved was more than a confirmation of her approval of the plan. Applejack chuckled and raised an eyebrow. "I take it that's a yes then?"

Coco giggled and nodded, releasing her vice-like grip upon Applejack. "Oh! Yes! Yes! Yes!" She grinned, bouncing more like Pinkie Pie than herself. "Yes! I would love to! Oh, Applejack that's so great! I didn't think that you'd want to go again! It's very expensive! But I'll be happy to help you with paying for it! I'll just ask Rarity to bring down my bags! Wait... No, we can stop by her house!"

"Coco..."

"And then I'll help pay! I mean after we're married it'll be our money to share anyway! And then we... Ooh! We can help Big Mac pay for the new house! I mean I am going to not get as much work here in Ponyville, but I won't have to pay for that apartment!"

Applejack rolled her eyes but smiled as Coco continued on one of her rambling string of thoughts. She walked over to the now slightly burned pancake and flipped it out of the pan, chuckling as it took another two pancakes for Coco to finally stop her wandering little speech. Applejack chortled as Coco came back and nudged her out of the way to take over the cooking. She grinned as she took a few pancakes and walked over to the table. "You sure are adorable sugar cube."

Coco giggled as she finished the last of the pancakes and joined Applejack at the table. "Well, I'm sorry Applejack, I kind of get sidetracked at times."

"I noticed." Applejack grinned a bit as she reached out and booped Coco on the nose before going back to her breakfast.
