Fluttershy is getting lonely with all of her friends finding their special someponies. With her planned relationships dying before it even started Fluttershy latches onto the next pony that shows her kindness.
This is the second part of the series I started a bit ago, shipping the main six with background ponies.
I've added an in story dating system to the stories as the stories are actually somewhat intertwined so for any of you who are reading all of them they'll be easier to line up, the dating system has nothing to do with the real world (except that they coincide with 2019 just so they can be more easily tracked.)
Note on crossover chapters. They are the same chapter in two stories because they are relevant to both. They will say with what story they cross over and have the same (or very similar) titles.

Now this is a story I can get behind. This is actually a pairing that I've had difficulty finding good stories on so when this popped up in my feed I had to read it. I can't wait to see where you take this and I hope it ends happy, Fluttershy is my favorite of the mane 6 and Octavia is one of my favorites from the interactive background ponies.

Well Vinyl and Octavia aren’t a couple in the story so she doesn’t have a strong opinion on it as of yet. (She’s not shown up yet.)
And the gossip mill begins to turn. Can't wait to see Fluttershy's reaction to octavia's parents and their reaction to the rumors that Octavia is dating Fluttershy.

Hehe, it'll be fun! But I realized I might have to give this one a bit of an accelerated timeline; because I'm not sure how long I can plausibly keep Octavia in the dark.

You might be able to go with one more chapter and then at the end of it have a small snippet where Snooty Noble number one talks "gossip" to snooty noble number two. And Snooty Noble number two is one of Octavias parents. Instead of actually giving a reaction to the gossip just have a basic conversation revolving around different gossip and then have one of them say shoot "by the way have you heard about the scandal going on in ponyville, apparently a high-born is traipsing around with some strumpet." And let that pretty much be a to be continued moment where that's the hint that Octavias parents find out and that would send them to ponyville to stop whatever is going on with their daughter. It would make for an interesting confrontational chapter or two later having Octavias high class wealthy parents showing up in ponyville to tell their daughter what to do.
I have never had the urge to hit anyone in my life as badly as I want to smack the shit out of Octavias mother. FLUTTERSHY IS NOT A TROLLOP YOU HAG!!!!!

Let's see how this turns out, at least, it seems that Octavia finally understood why Flutters was acting like that.
Just re-read through all the chapters, sad to see that you haven't found inspiration to finish the next one, still looking forward to it though.
