Spike atempts to Make Flurry and Pumpkin Friends, Instead they Rival over getting him a date with Pinkie
Spike attempts to Make Flurry Heath and Pumpkin Cake Friends, but it quickly turns into a Rivalry over who deserves Spike's attention more, they decide on a contest, the first one to get Spike and Pinkie together is the better one. Shenanigans ensue.
"Come on!" Flurry said, jumping in excitement "We're late, we're late!" Cadence smiled at her daughter as the two made their way off the train.
"Don't worry, Twilight has more than enough patients to wait a few extra minutes." Cadence said as the got off
"Flurry!" Twilight cheered, being greeted with a hug.
"Auntie Twilight!" Flurry said in greeting, as soon as she let go Flurry began scanning the surrounding area
"If you...oh who am I kidding...since you are looking for Spike I'll have to be the bearer of bad new's and inform you he's busy."
"What!" Flurry demanded "Doing what!?"
"Well...he may not know your here..." Twilight giggled "He's hard to talk to when he and Pumpkin are up to their shenanigans."
"Ah yes...He told me about her." Flurry scoffed "But I'm still his favorite right?" She asked
"I think you're his only niece honey," Cadence said
"No, I mean I'm still his favorite little girl right?" She asked Twilight and Cadence both looked at each other, trying very hard not to laugh at that
"No idea" Twilight answered with a shaking voice "I've Never asked him about his preference in..." Twilight snorted and Cadence cut in
"Why Don't you go find him, honey? I know you already know where he is."
"At the Castel" Flurry confirmed blasting off
"Oh, my Celestia" Twilight laughed once she was out of earshot "That sounded so wrong!"
"I know!" Cadence snorted "I know!"
"See you later Cadence," Twilight said with a giggle and a wave before following Flurry.
"Are you sure this is the right mixture Pumpkin?" Spike asked. The two were standing next to a potion set, Pumpkin was reading through a book and directing Spike.
"Positive!" she said with a nod as Spike added the last ingredient, a cup full of flowers
"I'm just thinking it should have said Flour."
"It does!" as the potion bubbled Pumpkin added "They just spelled it wrong" Spike looked over at the book and read it out loud
"Add a bowl of Flour, warning do not add actual flowers as it will result in..." two stood in silence
"Oh no..." They said in unison as the potion bottles began violently shacking
"HIT THE DECK!" Spike yelled just before the boom
Twilight and Flurry landed just in time to see the window's in the library become covered in the color blue. the two stood in silence when Spike and Pumpkin walked out the front door, walking in swirls before Spike fell down the stairs and landed with a flop
"You did that on purpose!" Spike said to the dirt
"I might have!" Pumpkin said laying at the top of the stairs "I still fooled you tho!"
"Flour is spelled wrong." Spike muttered "You live in a bakery, Can't believe I fell for that one" Spike ear's twitched "I feel a disturbance...like Flurry's heart is about to glomp me." Pumpkin was levitated next to him and they were both cleaned by Twilight.
"We have a guest, now if you don't mind I have a Library to clean."
"Spike!" Flurry cheered tackling him
"I knew it!" Spike declared with a laugh as she squeezed him till he was red "Air!" he added Flurry let go of him and turned to Pumpkin, who was looking at her with hostility in her eyes. hostility that Flurry was happy to return
"So you muse be Pumpkin/Flurry," The said in unison "Spike's told me all about you." Spike smiled
"I have indeed," he said merrily, not noticing the literal spark's flying between the two. "Flurry this is my dear Friend Pumpkin, Pumpkin this is my dear Niece Flurry."
"ha." Pumpkin whispered as Flurry turned
"But where friends to right Spike?" Flurry asked
"Of course we are!" Spike said happily "Where Family after all" The two filly's looked at each other
"Friendship is a bond that is earned with hard work" Pumpkin muttered quietly
"Family is a bond of blood that lasts forever, even threw a fight!" Flurry responded quietly, the two starting daggers at each other
"I...feel like I'm missing something?" Spike muttered in confusion, instantly the two turned to him with a smile
"Oh it's nothing Spike," Pumpkin said happily
"We're just wondering how to split our time with you? I was thinking I should spend more time since I don't Live here."
"I can see how it's fair since I see you way more often than her, but we had plans for this week, you're not just gonna throw me to the side are you?" Pumpkin Responded, making to emphasize that she saw Spike way more than Flurry.
"of course not," Spike said turning to look up at the Castel "We can keep out plans..." Flurry's face melted in horror and Pumpkin's in overwhelming joy "...and Flurry can join us!" Pumpkin joined Flurry in horror the two instantly putting back on a happy face when Spike turned to them "Why don't you two wait out here while I go apologize to Twilight for the umpteenth time." as Spike ran up the stairs the two turned on each other
"Listen you..." Pumpkin growled
"No, You Listen, Spike is MY Uncle!"
"Spike is My First and Bestest Friend!"
"I've known him my whole life!"
"I've known of his my whole life!" the two pointed at themselves and said angrily
"I'm his 2nd favorite pony!" The two froze
"Wait if you know your not his favorite..." Pumpkin said
"And you know your not his favorite either..."Flurry agreed
"Then that means we both know that Spike..." Flurry added
"Totaly has the Hot's for Pinkie!" Pumpkin said with a nod
"And that means if we want to decide once and for all who is Number 2..." Flurry reasoned
"We'd have to see who knows Spike the best..." Pumpkin added
"...So well that we could convince him to open up to her!" They added in unison
"So it's decided then?" Pumpkin asked extending the hoof of Rivalry
"It is." Flurry declared excepting it
"First on to get Spike and Pinkie Pie together is the Winner!" They said sealing the Rivalry with a shake
"May the best pony win!" They said in unison "AND I PLAN TO!"
"Ok, I have one week to help Spike find true love!" Flurry said looking out the window with Binoculars "You may think you'll win this Pumpkin, but just because you live with Pinkie doesn't mean victory, after all, I'm here with Spike!" she smiled "And by the end of this week he will find love by my hoof, or not at all!" she declared silently with a smile Pumpkin was laying on her bed looking through a book about dating
"Alright, I have nothing but time" Pumpkin smiled "She only has a week, but once she leaves I'm still open to win this!" Pumpkin flips a page "And It might not be today, or tomorrow, but someday! I will help Spike find love!" She read a passage for a moment "Would Pinkie like Flowers or Flour more?" Pumpkin asked the empty room before jolting in a notebook next to her "Probably both" She decided.
"Alright," Spike said cracking his fingers "Time to set this plan into action!" he looked down at his tiny notebook "By the end of the week those two will be the best of friends!" He smiled as his plan "They're already kicking it off pretty good tho, a lot better than I would have thought." Spike reach up to grab an ink bottle of his shelf, and accidentally knocked Pinkie-plush off the shelf with it "Oh no" he leaned over picking up the ink-covered toy "I better clean this first, she won it for me form that carnival as a gift after all" he said as he picked it up and rushed it to the kitchen for emergency cleaning. Flurry moved in time to not be noticed by him
"I feel bad," Flurry said once Spike was out of earshot "but I have to prove to that Pumpkin girl that I am the superior one!" Flurry turned to go, then zipped after Spike "But first I'll show Spike the Ink Removal Spell I learned and save his mini-Pinkie!" she said flying to the kitchen at full speed.
Pinkie was writing in her party book when her Pinkie scene went off
"I have a might powerful feeling...that somepony is planning something to do with me..." Pinkie flipped through her notes "But my birthday isn't for another 2 months...and Gummies isn't for another 1 month and 29 days." she looked at the walls of the room in suspicion "so...somepony's trying to catch me off guard with something ey? Well, two can play at that game! I'll be so ready...YOU'LL BE SURPRISED, YOU...ENTITY OF UNKNOWN GENER OR RACE!!" She said shaking her hoof at the roof
"Yeah, I thought she might figure it out," Pumpkin whispered as she spied on her from her open door "But that just means I'll have to be twice as subtle,"
"Thank you Flurry," Spike said as he headed back upstairs with the now Ink Free Pinkie Doll
"No Problem Spike" Flurry said as he headed back upstairs "Alright, Time to put Plan A into effect!" Flurry took the ink still in her magic and ran upstairs, once to her room, she turned to a blank page in her journal and, using some reference material, mimicked Spike's handwriting as best she could.
"Dear Pinkie" She Began "We should meet up for a Lunch Date at..." Flurry looked at her notes "11:30, we can meet up at the castle, Love Spike." Flurry nodded at the letter
"Yes, Perfect!" she said looking at her well-written plan "Now...I just need to send it!"
Pumpkin, using a few letters from Pinkie, was doing the exact same thing
"....Lunch Date at 11:30, meet me at Sugar Cube Corner, Love Pinkie." Pumpkin smiled at her genius
"Let's see Flurry beat this idea!" Pumpkin said gloatingly "They'll meet up for dinner..."
"...Then he'll say he didn't plan it, and she'll think he's being hard to get." Flurry said as she walked out of the stairs.
"...And then when he sees her playing hard to get he'll just want her more!" Pumpkin said, walking down the stairs
"...And then she'll try to wow him by inviting him over instead!" Flurry said, face glowing red at the beauty of the scene in her head as she walked out the castle doors "Twilight I'm going outside for a little bit!"
"Be back before dark Flurry," Twilight called back
"...And then when they sit down and look into each other's eyes, they'll feel the love in the air!" Pumpkin coed as she walked outside "Dad I'm going to say Hi to Spike!" Pumpkin called
"Ok Honey, be back by Dinner!" Mr.Cake called back from the counter
Pumpkin made her way out the door and down the street to the Castel,
Flurry was making her way down the street to Sugar Cube corner when she spotted her rival,
"Oh, Trying to spy on me eh?" Pumpkin thought as she hides the letter from Flurry's view
"...Can't let her see this, don't want to give her tiny mind any ideas to work with" Flurry thought as she hides the letter from Pumpkins view
"Hi." They both said in unison as they passed each other at the halfway point.
"I hate her." They both thought in unison as the hightailed it to their respective destinations
"Hello," Flurry said making Mr.Cake jump
"Sweet Princess of the night!" Mr.Cake yelled Flurry cocked her head at him
"My Aunt?" Flurry shook her head "anyway Can you give this to Pinkie Pie?" Flurry asked handing Mr.Cake the letter, who handled it with extreme care
"Of..of...of..of course" he stuttered "here" he added handing her a Cupcake "On the house"
"Thank you, sir," Flurry said taking the cupcake happily as she made her way out.
"Hi Twilight" Pumpkin said when the princess answered the door "Can you give this to Spike?" She asked politely
"Oh, sure Pumpkin," Twilight said taking the letter "Do you want to come in?"
"Oh, no I have...stuff to do at home," She said "I was just doing Pinkie a favor is all" she called back before heading home, Flurry saw her coming and took to the air so as to avoid her "Show off" Pumpkin muttered as watched the Alicorn fly over her. Flurry walked into the castle
"I'm back!" She called
"Hi, dad!" Pumpkin said "I'll be in my room" Pumpkin ran up the stairs and was going to head to the window to watch Spike walk over, but was distracted "POUND!" She screamed, her brother jumping at in shock, she had caught him in the act of stealing her Spike plush
"I wasn't taking it," He said, Pumpkin levitated it out of his hoofs and squeezed it in her's.
"You stole the last one and I never found it!" Pumpkin screamed as Pound ran to the window and evacuated the building "You can only get these in the Crystal Empire!" She screamed shaking her hoof at him "I'll tell mom if you try and touch it again!" She slammed the window and carefully tucked the Spike plush back in her bed before turning to look back out the window, finding a less than desirable sight
"Weird" Pinkie said as she made her way to the castle reading 'Spikes' letter.
"Odd" Spike said as he made his way out the castle door looking at 'Pinkies' letter
"Noooo!" Flurry whispered as she watched Spike leave through the front door "My brilliant plan foiled by that no good orange..." Flurry muttered less than friendly names about Pumpkin as Pumpkin did the same for her.
"How dare she undermine my plan by making Pinke leave," Pumpkin said angrily "My amazingly thought out and detailed scheme, ruined." Pumpkin sighed "Oh well, this was only plan-A, I've still got letters B through H." Pumpkin and Flurry watched in silence as Spike and Pinkie ran into each other at the halfway point
"Dang it I can't read lips" Flurry muttered as she watched the two stop and began talking, Pinkie pointed to the castle as Spike pointed to Sugar Cube Corner, after some more talking Spike handed Pinkie 'her' letter as Pinkie handed him 'his' the two read the letters before laughing at them, Pinkie gave him a wave and Spike returned it as the two turned back and headed home with 'there' letters.
"Dangit" Pumpkin muttered "I'm so busted" she sighed as she listened to Pinkie walk up the stairs "Hi Pinkie" she muttered
"Oh hey Pumpkin," Pinkie said brightly "check this out" She showed Pumpkin the letter she had written "Rainbow was trying to set me and Spike up on a date again" she laughed
"What?" Flurry asked as Spike laughed at the note
"Well either that or a prank, not very well thought out tho" Spike giggled "sending us a note" Spike sighed "Classic Rainbow," he said with a head shake
"Um...yeah" Pumpkin agreed "She must have not had...much time to plan it out or something."
"Yeah" Pinkie agreed "It was a good laugh tho!" She said as she headed to her room. Pumpkin closed the door with a sigh of relief.
"Alright, time to start on plan B," Flurry said as she looked through her notes "This time I'll have to factor Pumpkin in, think she can throw me off hu?"
"Think's she'll win just because she's playing dirty?" Pumpkin asked the empty room "oh no, I'm going to win without stooping to her level!" the two fillies held up their hoof respectively.
"I will be Spike's Cupid!" They Declared before they buckled down and began work on their next Relationship building plan.
Spike smiled happily as he looked through his book, unaware of the tension between Flurry and Pumpkin,
"So Flurry," Spike said, the two fillies putting on a happy face to not give away their rivalry to him. "Today Pumpkin was going to help me with Castle Day, but as I've told her many times, you don't have to help me with that if you don't want to."
"Spike doesn't be silly," Flurry said, "I literally came here to spend a week with you."
"Hey." Twilight said poking her head in through the door and startling them all "You better believe I'm gonna steal you for a while." She said happily "at least one of your 7 day's are gonna be spent with me."
"Of Course Auntie Twilight" Flurry said "It'll be fun" Twilight smile and left appeased, Flurry, turned back to Spike "So what is Castel Day?"
"The Day I go through every Room in the Castel and Clean it." Flurry's jaw dropped
"You clean the entire Castle by yourself!?"
"No, I help him" Pumpkin chimed in "But even then he's really fast and efficient."
"It's why Twilight kept me," Spike said happily before Twilight called back
"I kept you cause I love you, Spike." She said, "Don't think otherwise for a second, you're my Little Brother rather you like it or not." Spike blinked before calling back
"Either come in or go do your chore list." Twilight could be heard making her way down the hall as Spike turned back to his friend and his Niece. Pumpkin was squinting at him
"You where doing it again," She said disappointedly
"Oh come on, I was just joking, not being self-deprecating." he laughed as Pumpkin looked at him hard
"Fine, I'll let it pass...this time" She added eyeing him as he got up.
"Alright, I'll be back in 5, I'll call you guy's when I've got the cleaning cart." Spike got up gave them both a smile and made his way out of the room "Don't have too much fun while I'm gone" he added happily, "I'm so glad they're getting along" he added happily once the door was closed, Pumpkin and Flurry continued Smiling at the door in silence until their respective sensory spell's indicated to them he was gone,
"Your pathetic" Pumpkin said, Flurry snapped her head in her direction
"Oh! This is coming from you? You sad sack of Orange fur."
"Oh, that's mature. Let me guess, you were up till midnight thinking up insults."
"I was only up till 11!" Flurry snapped back "And don't think for a second you'll be able to get in the way of my Plan B!"
"As if I'd stoop to your level!" Pumpkin replied, sparked coming off her horns
"You couldn't get on my level if you had a ladder!" Flurry shot back, sparked cackling off her horn, "Now prepare, for I have come up with such a brilliant plan than even I am impressed with it's Brilliance!"
"It'll pale in comparison to my plan!" Pumpkin said, the two pointed their hooves at each other and said in perfect synchronization
"I've Invited Pinkie over to join in our activity today!" the two blinked and stood in stupified silence for a second
"How Pathetic, trying to take the glory for my plan." Flurry scoffed
"YOUR PLAN!" Pumpkin called back angrily "your delusional if you think anyone would believe some pricy rich foal could come up with a plan like that!" Flurry gasped
"You dare pull the rich card!"
"Oh, I dare!" Pumpkin shot back. as the two where bickering Spike had gotten the cleaning cart and meet with his surprise visit.
"Hey, Spike!" Pinkie cheered as she popped out of the cart making him jump.
"Oh Sweet Mother of mine!" Spike yelled in terror as he fell to the floor.
"Sorry bout that" Pinkie laughed merrily as she helped him up "But look at this!" She presented Spike with two Invitations, with the Words Flurry and Pumpkin on them respectively. "Isn't this adorable!" She asked, "I guess your friendship plan worked!"
"Wow" Spike said looking at the cards "There almost Identical" he smiled "Guess there becoming friends faster than I thought." he smiled "and you where afraid they'd rival for my attention" he added as he picked up Pumpkins and read it aloud "Dear Pinkie, it would bring Spike the highest amount of Honor to have you come over and join use for Castel day, I'm sure you'd make it 10 times better, Love Pumpkin." Spike laughed "Sounds about right, Well since your here I guess you're accepting their invitations?"
"Indeed I am." Pinkie smiled back, Spike took her hoof and got on his knee
"Then It is with great Honor that I greet ye to my Castle Miss Pie," Spike said in a horrible accent
"Oh Why thank you, Sir Spike." Pinkie responded in an equally bad accent before cracking up "Alright let's do this where are the girls?"
"In the Library, getting to know each other a little better" Spike responded happily.
"Your Wing's look stupid!" Pumpkin said angrily
"Your Bow is to Blue!" Flurry shot back
"Your Short!" Pumpkin fired back
"We're the same hight you dumb...." The two fillies froze and teleported back into their chairs and pretended to be having a nice chat about Spells.
"...so Spike let me pick from the spell book and I accidentally flooded the Library." Pumpkin said, with Flurry nodding
"As to be expected," She said when the door opened and Spike waved to em
"You tricksters ready?" He asked, the two gave their respective nodded and got out of their chairs, being stopped by Spike at the door. "Oh, and next time tell me in advance if you invite Pinkie will ya? She scared the heck out of me."
"Sorry!" Pinkie called from behind him, the two fillies smiled.
"Yeah."
"Of course Spike." with a Smile Spike pulled out of the room and the two glared at each other briefly before resuming their happy moods with being around Spike, unbeknownst to them a certain Pink Pony had seen the Glare and was now frowning behind them, feeling the sheer tension between them.
"Oh no!" Pinkie thought "it's just as I feared, their fighting over Spike attention!" She sighed before smiling "But of course, that's why they invited me, with me around I'll be able to redirect Spike to make sure they get equal amounts of attention, yes Brilliant, I'll just make sure to tag along with 'em for the week, make sure things don't get out of hoof." Her Smile Restored Pinkie joined the Trio and made it a Quartet. "So Tell me about this Castle Day."
Pinkie and Flurry watched in amazement as Spike cleaned the Hall, he had started with blanketing the floor in soapy water before grabbing a mop, had Pumpkin magically connect some special sponges to his feet and tail, then proceeded to fly across the long hall like an ice skater, his mop moving at top speed, his feet and tail catching whatever he missed, Pumpkin meanwhile used another two sponges and a bottle of cleaner and proceed to clean both the floorboards and the walls. Spike did a loop and ran his tail along the wall to give her some water to work with, the 2 watched in silence as the duo cleaned the entire hall in 8 minutes, Spike clicking a stopwatch as soon as they finished.
"Oh, 3.5 seconds away from our record." He said.
"Oh dangit." Pumpkin muttered as she removed the sponges from him and put them in a sanitization bucket "Don't worry, we've got another 78 halls to try."
"On the contrary my friend." Spike said, "Flurry will be helping with the next one so the day will end with a new record hold slot." Spike held up the page, a picture of himself, Pumpkin, and a Picture of both of them in it.
"Can't believe it uses to take you 20 minutes to do the halls."
"Yeah, I use to call it Castel week." Spike replied as he snapped the mop back onto his cart "You really helped me with that, now I'm not up till morning cleaning the halls!" Spike clapped his hand's together. "So Flurry what do you wanna be in charge of doing?" Flurry stood open-mouthed in silence when Pinkie spoke up.
"You never told me I could skate on the Castel floors!"
"Well only with those sponges, and they only come out on when the cart-"
"Why didn't you invite me over!" She demanded, "That sounds like so much fun!"
"Well it would only last so long before it just became chore work, this is just the hall stuff, after this I Dust Twilight's Room and the Library, then I clean up the kitchen, then I clean the windows, then I gather up all the books in the castle and return them to the Library...yeah even with Pumpkin it still takes three day's to Clean this castle, and even after all that I still have to do Reshelving day once it's over."
"Why don't you have servants doing this for you?" Flurry asked.
"We did for a while, but Twilight didn't 'like' or 'trust' them." Spike replied with finger quotes "Anyway it's fine, I've been doing this for a long while, I started a few months before you were born actually." Spike got back into pushing position behind the cart. "And besides I don't have much going on in my day to day life, to be honest, I spend most of my time in my room using my Magic comics when I'm not working."
"What kind of Magic comics do you have?" Flurry asked as the walked down the cleaned hall.
"A lot," Spike responded as they reached the corner, Spike halted the cart and began unloading.
"Wait this is the next hall!" Flurry asked in shock.
"Well yeah, their all conected, some by stairs of course, but I'm not allowed to clean those, I slid on the water while mopping and ended up breaking my arm." Spike held up his right arm as he said this "And I'm right-handed, that's actually why she hired some help, but she caught them pickpocketing somethings and now this is my job forever." Spike smiled at the memory before shaking his head. "Anyway, you don't have to help if you don't want to."
"Don't worry Spike." Pumpkin said as she started spreading the water "Some ponies just aren't built for hard work."
"I'll help Pumpkin do the walls." Flurry replied, her gaze hardening on Pumpkin, then melting back to a nice one on Spike.
"I"ll help Spike with the floors!" Pinkie said as Pumpkin started attaching the Sponges to Spike's feet and tail, once the water was spread and the sponges attached Spike began mopping and ended up being lapped by Pinkie.
"This is fun." She said as she flew past him and back towards the cart before turning back. "We should hang out more often."
"Pinkie last time you and I were alone in the room we ended up in...that awkward situation, Rainbow's never going to let us live that down."
"But we're not alone, we got tiny company!" Pinkie replied as she spun in place, Spike did a u-turn and began mopping behind her as she moved. Pumpkin and Flurry watched this while their magic scrubbed the floorboards.
"Another perfectly executed plan thanks to me." Flurry said proudly.
"What!?" Pumpkin demanded turning to her "first of this was my plan, and second, another? I haven't seen any proof of any of your plans working unless we count you pitiful attempt to mess up my plans."
"Oh please! Like you could plan anything more complicated than a cupcake recipe." Pumpkin gasp.
"You dare use my parent's business to insult me?"
"you used my parent's wealth against me, now we're even." Flurry snapped back, Pumpkin was about to respond but snapped back to her cleaning.
"-and then they walked out of the changing room and their outfits where the wrong color, of course, me and Spike laughed at that cause we knew that meant we had gotten their colors."
"Oh, you two talking about the outfit mishap before the Gala?" Spike asked, "Casue that was funny." Spike slid past with a wave.
"It sure was." Pumpkin replied sweetly, once Spike was a way's down the hall she snapped back to Flurry. "Listen, I don't care if you insult my parent's business, that's fine, you can throw empty words at me all day, and sure maybe we've just coincidently had idea's that are very similar in matching Pinkie and Spike together, But if you think I'm going to let you become greater than me in Spike's eye, oh have you got another thing coming."
"Funny" Flurry responded, "I was gonna say something similar to you." The locked eyes before turning back to their work.
"Alright, Don't let her get to you." Flurry thought as she cleaned "She may be able to predict your every move, but that means you can do the same-"
"-all you need to do is think of a way to make a situation where she is no longer a variable, think when is a period of time where you could get to Spike without her." The two thought for a while before, for the first time, Flurry realized her true advantage over Pumpkin.
"You might have time." Flurry suddenly said with a smile looking over at Pumpkin "But I have a different window of time, I don't just have all day with Spike, I have the night with him too!" FLurry smiled "Let's see how easily you block me when I go to Spike and have him interpret my words in his way, one sentence from Spike can change an idea entirely." Pumpkin almost dropped her cleaning supplies as Flurry walked past her. "Check, and mate." She added before putting her stuff away on the cart.
"Alright." Pumpkin said, taking a breath and picking up her cleaning. "You're going to play the Spike card...I'll play the Pinkie card." Pumpkin glared at the back of Flurries head "May the better manipulator win."
Flurry was exhausted, she so desperately wanted to go to her bed, collapse, and deal with her problems in the morning, she even considered skipping dinner, but she refused to fall to her admittedly tempting desire, she had a job to do, even if she had to manipulate the heck out of her uncle to do it, she would help him find his perfect match. So with all her might, and a mighty splash, she put her wet rag into the disinfecting bucket. Pumpkin giggles at how completely exhausted Flurry looked.
"Maybe Flurry should stop." She said, only just holding back a chuckle in her voice "I don't think she's used to this kind of menial labor." Flurry shot Pumpkin a death stare before sweetly smiling at Spike.
"I can keep going." Flurry said as she tried to wipe the sweat from her brow, only for it to begin coming back at once.
"I'm sorry sweetie but I think you're done for today," Spike said as he rubbed her head and flicked some sweat to the floor, Flurry didn't know whether to be sad that she'd failed, or to be seething with rage at Pumpkin, judging from how Spike reacted her face had gone to option A. "Don't worry my wet one," Spike said cheerfully. "You're just not used to this kind of menial labor." Flurry felt a little hurt at that before Spike added "But dang if you didn't try, we're almost done with the floors, I remember the first Time Pumpkin did this she only just made it half way." Flurry's heart warmed right up at that praise, Pumpkin turned red-faced at turned back before Spike could see it. Flurry managed to get her smug look in before panic ensured. "He-ya!" Spike added putting his arm around Flurry and putting a small ring on her horn.
"Hey!" She added trying to take it off, only to find it was blocking her magic. "What is this!?" Pumpkin watched as she kicked and screamed at Spike. "No, no, no!" She screamed as she tried to get away "I don't wanna!" Pinkie walked over and watched this for a moment.
"What's uh...what's happening exactly?" She asked as Spike struggled to keep Flurry from flying away.
"It's bath time," Spike said simply before getting kicked in the chin. "Geah!" Spike yelped out as he only just managed to not fall on his back. Spike managed to get her locked under his arm before waving at Pinkie and Pumpkin. "See you Tomorrow Pumpkin." He said with a wave "See ya later Pinkie." Flurry continued going against Spike as they disappeared from sight,
"Ha!" Pumpkin thought, "not very mature for a Princess!" after a few minutes of making his way upstairs, and quite a few kicks in the chin he sighed, "Flurry," He said calmly,
"No!" She replied as she tried to get out of his arm,
"You want cookies don't you?" he asked, there was a moment of silence,
"yeah," she muttered crossly.
"You keep fighting me and you won't get any," he warned. Flurry muttered angrily as Spike walked up the last flight of stairs, he was about to open the bathroom door when he sighed, "Pinkie I know you're in here," There was a moment of silence as Pinkie opened the door, Pumpkin looked amazed,
"How did we get in here?" She asked in awe.
"Pinkie Logic for the win," Pinkie said happily "I know Crystal ponies tend to bath together, and since she lives in the Crystal empire I was wondering if we could save the time and take a mega bath together, that way me and Pumpkin don't have to worry about the shower at home already being in use," Pumpkin and Flurry had different reactions,
"You take a bath with others?" Pumpkin asked
"You take a bath alone?" Flurry asked, the idea sounding ridiculous to her.
"Sure," Spike said with a shrug "I Don't care so long as it's actually a bath and not that volcanic bubble explosion you claimed to be a bath last time,"
"You've bathed together?" Pumpkin demanded in confusion.
"The long answer to that is a fairly long story with a lot of side plots with tons of filler and some romantic tension," Pinkie replied "The short answer is yes,"
"The only answer your getting from me is yes," Spike agreed as he began filling up the large tub, Pumpkin and Flurry looked at each other in silence as Pinkie jumped into the water and splashed happily as Spike began pouring bubble soap in the water.
"Interesting," Pumpkin said with a smile.
"It's not that interesting," Flurry replied with a shrug "It's just bubble soap,"
"That's not what I meant," Pumpkin snapped back before she and Flurry where picked up by Pinkie.
"Alright you three have fun," Spike said as he made to leave.
"Hey where you goin?" Pinkie demanded as she splashed some water at him.
"Flurry and you are OK, but I feel like her parents might get a little angry if they heard I took a bath with Pumpkin,"
"It's called experiencing another culture," Pinkie said as she appeared behind Spike and dragged him to the bath. "Besides I don't think Flurry's gonna actually stay in the bath if you leave," Spike looked at Flurry who gave an innocent smile.
"Can't argue with that last one," He said with a sigh, "Alright Flurry," Spike pulled out a brush and he ears went flat. "Time to get into the tub," Pumpkin and Pinkie both got into the tub and watched Spike struggle to pull Flurry into it, it ended with Spike falling into the tub with Flurry going down with him, Pinkie had added a massive amount of bubble so the two dissapered into the water for a moment before Spike poked his head out of the bubbly mess. He shook his head and look to Flurry, who was now playing with the bubbles in the tub, Pinkie was getting to work scrubbing Pumpkin, who complained instantly.
"Don't worry, this is a Crystal empire thing, it's customary to wash you bad buddy,"
"You home is weird," Pumpkin said to Flurry as Pinkie began soaping up her hooves to wash Pumpkins mane.
"Your one to talk," Flurry shot back as Spike began soaping up his hands to wash Flurries mane " A single pony bath, that's just absurd,"
Pumpkin and Flurry were sitting to the side of the bathroom as Pinkie and Spike seemed to declare war on each other. It had Started with Spike accident splashing Pinkie with his tail, and then Pinkie had splashed him, then he had splashed back, after a few minutes the two fillies were now watching the two adults assault each other with a barrage of rubber ducks. It was kind of funny at first but the two had abandoned the tub when the two started getting a little too rough with one another, They had gotten so into their fight they hadn't even noticed the tub was overflowing, most of the bathroom was now covered in water and bubbled, the only reason it hadn't reached the halls was due to Flurry and Pumpkin setting up a magical barricade.
"Wow," Flurry said as Spike got Pinkie in a headlock only for her to flip him over him and dunk him into the water. "I've never seen Uncle Spike have this much fun,"
"Well, I see it all the time," Pumpkin bit back "Every time he and I hang out,"
"Oh yeah," Flurry said sarcastically. "I'm sure he just lives for it,"
"He does," Pumpkin snapped back.
"Oh please at the very best your just someone he can teach magic to, and one day I'll happily be taking that role so he won't need you,"
"He loves me," Pumpkin snapped back "I'm one of his favorite ponies,"
"Um?" Spike said as he and Pinkie stood frozen in the tub, "Did something happen while me and Pinkie where-"
"He loves me more," Flurry snapped back as he horn came to life.
"He loves me more," Pumpkin snapped back before blasting a spell at the Alicorn, who did the same, The Spells collided and the magic shot up to the ceiling, Flurry let out a cry and jumped at Pumpkin, who used the first spell she'd ever used and phased threw the wall, Flurry did the same and jumped after her.
"We better go stop them," Pinkie said as she hopped out of the tub.
"Yeah I think we may miss something," Spike agreed, A Loud crack made the two freeze and look up at a huge storm cloud quickly filled up the room.
"Oh no," Pinkie managed to say before both she and Spike were swallowed by it.
Pumpkin was flying thanks to her magic and blasting random spells at Flurry, who flew with better control but less speed. Flurry was also blasting random spells at Pumpkin, each time theirs spells collided the seemed to evaporate. Flurry Charged a Spell and blasted it at Pumpkin, who dogged it and was about to fire her own when Flurries collided with the castle wall and the entire building began vibrating.
"Um?" Pumpkin questioned when the walls suddenly began warping into a solid crystal, the Windows to the outside being consumed and blocking out the light. "Oh, Twilight's gonna be mad at you," Pumpkin scolded only to be tackled out of the air, Pumpkin lit her horn and ended outside the castle. "This should give me some time to-" Another flash appeared next to her and Flurry stood at the ready.
"Got you," She cheered out as she slapped at Pumpkin, who slapped back, after a moment their battle deteriorated into slapping each others hooves and telling the other to stop.
A bright light filled the Bathroom before the Door was blasted off its hinges and both Spike and Pinkie went flying threw the hall.
"Ow," Pinkie moaned as she got up, both she and Spike had signed and were both sore.
"It occurs to me," Spike said as he got up "That they might not like each other as much as they were letting on,"
"I noticed," Pinkie replied as she watched the massive storm cloud begin to pour into the hall "let's get out of here before that thing zaps us again," The Two made it about three feet before the entire Castel began shaking, they watched as the windows where sealed shut and the walls and floors became dangerously smooth. The second it reached them the two started slipping on the sleek surface.
"I have no idea what this spell is," Spike managed to declare before falling flat on his face "But I don't like it," he decided as Pinkie tried to help only to slip with him.
"Spike the cloud is-" Pinkie was cut off as the two were once again struck by lightning and sent sliding down the hall to the staircase.
"My everything," Spike complained as he used the rails to pull himself up. Pinkie joined him when a thunderous boom blasted threw the castle.
"Spike," Pinkie said as an odd sound hit their ears "How many storm clouds can Pumpkin make?" The two watched as the Stormcloud that had struck them twice reached the stairwell and flew to the upper level just as a wave of water came down the stairs in a torrent.
"A Lot," Spike managed to cry out before both he and Pinkie were hit by the wave and washed down the stairs.
Pumpkin and Flurry were still having their slap fight when the area around them began shacking the two stopped and watched as the front entrance warped into a solid wall of crystal.
"Oh, Twilight's gonna be super mad," Pumpkin chilled at Flurry who was about to retort when a voice replied.
"Mad doesn't begin to cover it," Twilight yelled making the two jump, the two turned and watched as she made her way to the duo. "There I was, having a picnic with Fluttershy when suddenly I see my entire Castle shaking, and when I get here I find you two snacking each other as the door turned into a wall," Twilight made an angry horse noise as she looked up at her home. "And where's Spike?" She asked as the two fillies flattened their ears.
"Oh my stars," Flurry cried out "We left Pinkie and Spike inside," Twilight sighed and enveloped the two in her magic.
"Flurry do you know the counterspell to...this?"
"I don't even know what spell I cast," Flurry replied "I was just trying to blast Pumpkin out of the air," Twilight gave another sigh before teleporting the two inside, It was pitch black inside and Twilight was instantly neck-deep in water, without hesitation she bubbled herself and the two fillies and lit her horn, they were standing on the other side of where the front door had been, the three looked around as the water began quickly flowing into the first floor.
"Sweet Celestia," Twilight said in shock as the water level steadily rose and their bubble was fully engulfed.
