Rainbow turned a corner, glancing over her back every 1 minute. Oh, I hope she is not following me anymore..... Rainbow heaved a sigh of relief as she leaned against the alley wall. Whew! Rainbow was about to head on home when a menacing shadow appeared behind her.

"Hey Dash!" Rainbow stopped dead in her tracks. Oh no.... Rainbow held her breath as she was spun around by a pair of strong hands. She would have normally stood up for herself, but today, the athlete Just did not have the energy. "You thought I would forget about you huh? Well, how wrong you are!"

Rainbow stumbled back as she felt Gilda's fist slam against her ribcage as she fell to the floor, groaning. "Why aren't you fighting back, Crash? Afraid I'll beat you!?" Rainbow's eyes filled with tears as she stumbled to her feet weakly, only to fall back down with a swift kick from her opponent. "Ha! loser!" Gilda erupted with laughter as Rainbow clutched her stomach, tears flowing down the sides of her face.

"Leave me alone...." Rainbow managed to plead before Gilda launched a fist at her face, her blood mixing with her tears as she fell limply towards the ground.

"Oh Dash, since you look so pathetic, I'll let you live today. But remember, I'll be back tomorrow!"

Rainbow closed her eyes and heaved herself off the ground as Gilda walked off laughing. "Oww..." Rainbow moaned as she looked at her grazed elbows and she raised her hand to her nose, looking at the red liquid that stained her fingers and blouse, Rainbow lifted herself off the ground and limped home.

"Rainbow!" Rainbow Dash heard someone call out to her in the hallway. She had nearly wanted to skip school but decided against it as finals were coming up. Rainbow covered her nose as she turned around, only to come face to face with a fiery haired girl.

"Hey Sunset!" Rainbow said as cheerfully as she could master. "How ya doing?" Rainbow turned back, hoping that Sunset has not seen the cuts and bruises that covered her forearm. Sunset, however, was not fooled. She grabbed Rainbow by the wrist, making the girl cry out in pain.

Turning Rainbow around, Sunset noticed that her friend was in a horribly dilapidated state. "Dash..." Sunset said, examining her friend closely. "What happened?" Rainbow turned away, not wanting Sunset to get involved. "Nothing..." She said, trying to change the subject. "Erm...where are the other girls?" Rainbow asked, hoping that Sunset would drop the matter.

"Twi is with Pinkie, learning how to cook at her house, Applejack is with Rarity, shopping (can you believe it?) and Shy is at the animal shelter." Sunset answered simply. "Now, stop changing the subject, what happened to you? In case you thought avoiding as all day is going to work, we noticed the cuts and bruises like, first thing in the morning."

Rainbow sighed. "It's really nothing..." She muttered, picking a few more things out of her locker and slammed it shut. "See you in the morning...." Rainbow said as she walked hurriedly out of the school gates without saying another word to Sunset.

Sunset crossed her arms as she followed closely behind Rainbow. I have got to find out what happened to Dash! First, she has been avoiding us all day, next she has been looking more and more tired each passing day, and now she's injured? Oh something is up and I'm gonna find out what! Sunset hid behind a vending machine as Rainbow looked behind her, as if checking for something.

As Sunset poked her head out to see what is happening, her eyes widened as she heard Rainbow screaming followed by a loud thud. What is going on? Sunset left her school bag behind as she crept up to the alley where she heard the sound. She had never expected to see what she saw next.

Rainbow was hunched on the floor, her face covered in blood and dirt, tears streaming out of her face as another familiar girl landed punches on poor Rainbow. Who is that? Sunset thought as she scratched her head. Wait, that's Gilda! She used to be in CHS until she got kicked out! What's she want with Dash?

Sunset stood up, deciding that if Rainbow was not going to stand up for herself, she would do it for her. After all, that's what friends are for right? Rainbow did not deserved to be beaten up like this, and I'm gonna imply that to Ms Gilda!

Sunset walked up behind the bully and tapped her on the shoulder. "Hey, you leave my friend alone!" Gilda spun around, spitting on the ground before she spoke to Sunset.

"Well well well, if it ain't the old bully Sunset Shimmer? Come to fight for who gets to beat Dash up? Sorry, but that job is already mine, why don't you pick on someone else?" Sunset crossed her arms. "Well, I am very sorry too, but I'm not a bully anymore, I have come for Rainbow."

Gilda rolled her eyes "Sunset Shimmer, oh my! You have, oh, what's the word? Friends now? Haha, very funny! It's just that I am having too much fun beating old Crash up that there is not more fun left for you! Now scram!" Gilda demanded, but Sunset stayed put. "I didn't ask. I stated. Give.Me.Rainbow"

"Oh, so this is what you want huh!" Gilda said as she kicked Rainbow towards Sunset roughly, a weak groan coming out of Rainbow's mouth. "Sunset...?" Sunset kneeled down next to her friend. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" Rainbow smiled weakly at her friend, before her eyes widened as she made an attempt to point behind Sunset. "Look...Sunset..."

Sunset turned around just in time to block Gilda's punch and kick. "You know, Gilda, I may not be a bully, but I used to be one, and I'm not stupid." Sunset launched a fist a Gilda's shocked face, sending her flying towards the ground. "I'm telling you, leave Dash alone, or else." Gilda, who was not one to give in, wiped the dirt off her cheeks and glared back into Sunset's eyes.

"If not what?" Gilda asked tauntingly. "You'll call you mummy? Oh wait, you don't have one, do you?" Gilda's laugh echoed around the alley as Sunset clenched her fists. "Oh, did I upset you? I think we need to call the orphanage, tell them that we found their lost baby!" Gilda laughed as Sunset's vision turned red.

"No one!" She yelled, running towards Gilda and knocking her down. "I repeat, no one, lays a finger on any of my friends!" Sunset rained punches down on Gilda as the other girls effortlessly blocked every single of of them. Gilda pushed Sunset off the ground and used her knee to pin Sunset firmly to the ground.

"Lay a finger on who now?" Gilda said as Sunset felt a high pitch whining sound fill her ears as Gilda landed a fist right in the middle of the face. Sunset flopped down to one side.

The last thing she saw was a passer-by, waving his hands as he pulled his phone out off his pocket. The world was flooded with Gilda's screaming, police sirens and rainbow's voice as the world around her snapped shut as if someone had switched off the lights.

Sunset's eyes fluttered open as she squinted at the bright light that shone down on her. Ugh, where am I? Am I dead? Sunset slowly opened her eyes and saw a rainbow haired girl sitting across the room, her left arm in a sling. "Dash...?" Sunset whispered, not expecting the girl to rush over instantly.

"Sunset? Are you okay? Why did you follow me?" Rainbow dash asked frantically. As Sunset tried to sit up, a piercing pain shot through her chest, causing her to yelp in pain. "Whoa now, you are very badly injured Sunny." Sunset lifted her head to see her right leg in a cast. Bandages filled her arms and stomach, and her head still hurt.

"What made you follow me?" Sunset looked up at Rainbow, sensing a worried tone in her voice. "Dash, I noticed something was up with you and....I wanted to help..." Sunset choked on her words as she looked up at Rainbow, tears streaming down her face. These were happy tears, not the sad, hurt ones that had streaked her face in the alley.

"Thank you, Sunset." rainbow said as she sat by Sunset's bed, watching over not just her friend, but her saviour.
