A little filly, named Stargazer has to cope with being stuck in the human world. She has one advantage: she can shapeshift!
She came to the human world as a human girl at the age of 11. She came to having no memories of herself, expect for a family she is sure that isn't her own.
This is Stargazer's story on finding who she is and where she came from.

I have always thought that there was something wrong. My first indication was when she first came to. I was 11 at the time. I woke up and had no memories of herself except for her name and age.

That day I woke up in a bed with pink covers and had a woman looming over her.

The woman said, “Stargazer, it's time for you to go to school.”

I groggily took in my surroundings. It seemed that my room had a sky painted on the walls with pegasi on some clouds.

Then I noticed the woman had a shirt in that said “Mom of the Year” on it. So I took a gamble, hoping that nothing bad will come of it.

“Okay, mom”, I said as I started getting out of bed.

She started walking down stairs, “Okay sweetie just be down soon. You don't want to be late on your first day of school.”

The next time I realized something was wrong was when I was 14. I was at the mall with some of my friends. This was the first time I went out with them to the mall. We were in front of a mirror looking for clothes. I have seen myself in the mirror before, however this is the first time I’ve seen myself with others in front of one. I saw herself as a little filly when everyone else had human figures. My friends didn't seem to have noticed this however so I decided to keep quiet.

That was also the day my friends introduced My Little Pony to me. I was watching the first season and when a nagging feeling was telling me that it was wrong.

“So much of this is all wrong,” I thought. As I did I came to a sudden realization, “Wait, how do I know this?”

As I kept watching the show I was pondering this question. When I finally got to the end of the second episode in season 2, where Discord made his first appearance in the episode prior, he walked out of the screen. Although it seemed that his counterpart in the show was still there.

I let out a startled gasp at this and luckily my parents are out so they wouldn't come up stairs , because judging by the show Discord’s pretty powerful.

Fortunately Discord seem as shocked I was so he didn't hear me yet. He was taking in his surroundings, so I gathered up some courage to make sure he knew I was there, “Um, excuse me, but you are Discord, correct?”

He seem amused by my question, “Of course, I am. Who else would I be? Don't you remember me Stargazer?”

“H- how do you know my name?”

Discord sighed like he was disappointed in my answer almost like he knew this was going to happen, but then he brightened up again. He reached a finger towards me.

“W- what are you doing? Get away fro--”, I tried shouting as I back away, but it was too late. Discord's finger had reached my forehead.

Suddenly a bunch of memories hit me like a train. The few memories I saw as they were passing by were Twilight ascending into an alicorn, the crystal empire reemerging, and Starlight and Trixie doing a magic show together. Although, there was one in particular that caught my attention. It was me constantly taking different transformations fighting unknown enemy.

As I came back Discord suddenly flinched pulling his hand away from me, “Drat, something is preventing me from unlocking your true memories. The only ones you have right now are from the version of our world this place has created.”

I was breathing heavily and trying to process all the information I suddenly got. I began to trust Discord as my mind is telling me that these memories are somewhat true and that Discord is reformed.

“Stargazer, do you remember how to use any of your powers?” asked Discord.

I told him what I might be able to shapeshift from what I had seen from the memory dump I got.

I realized I didn't know what to turn into, but then I remembered to figure I had seen whenever I look at myself in the mirror. I closed my eyes and concentrated on that image willing myself to turn into it.

When I opened my eyes again I was on four hooves. I had fur that was of a light pink and had red colored hair.

“No matter how many times I see that it never gets old,” said Discord, “and being an immortal god of chaos I've seen a lot of crazy things."

I was getting used to walking on four hooves while he was talking. I gotten the hang of it pretty quickly as I used to have this form.

“Well it seems you chose you're old body back when you last used it in Equestria,” commented Discord. “I haven't seen you since then, which was about three years ago. Three long years of searching for you, but you're here. I've got to bring you back.”

“Back?” I asked. “What about my parents?”

“They aren't your real parents. Upon arrival I found out that they have papers for adopting you, but I don't that you remember since you think that they're your parents. Meaning that you don't remember an orphanage that you've been at. I take it that you just woke up in a bed at this house?

“That's right,” I said feeling surprised, “ but even if that were true I still have to leave a note of some kind.”

“Fine, just be quick about it.” Discord sighed.

I quickly wrote a note explaining what had happened to me not going into to much detail. However, it was hard writing with my mouth, but I made it work. Just saying that I recalled memories of not being your real child, that I found out where I came from, and that I love them.

When I went back up stairs I noticed Discord waiting for me, sitting down on the chair I was using to watch My Little Pony.

“You ready?” Asked Discord.

“Yeah” I replied ready to go back to Equestria.

Discord snapped his fingers and we were gone.

I opened my eyes and light came flooding in. I saw shelves of books of different colors, authors, and genres.

No one else was in the room at the moment, so I decided to take a look at a book. The End Of Nightmare Moon: The Beginning of Harmony? caught my eye. I picked up the book in my hooves and began to read.

Nightmare Moon's return brought Disharmony throughout all of Equestria. She kept Equestria in a shadow of darkness causing many plants to wither and die.

Nightmare Moon used this to her advantage. She forced everyone to obey and worship her or she would let them starve.

Many ponies gave in thinking there was no hope, but there were 2 groups of rebels that arose calling themselves The Nightmare Vanquishers and The Light Bringers.

The Nightmare Vanquishers work to defeat Nightmare Moon and help others under her tyrannous rule.

The Light Bringers work solely for the purpose of helping the ponies surviving from Nightmare Moon.

One day Nightmare Moon decided to take the battle to them. She had however mistaken the identities of the two groups and attacked The Light Bringers.

Desperate, The Light Bringers requested help from The Nightmare Vanquishers. They quickly accepted thinking the greater numbers.

Unlike the previous battles Nightmare Moon decided to take to the battlefield herself the next time they fought.

There has been a pony, to this day who is still unknown, that worked for Nightmare Moon realized that they had no chance of winning. This pony also realized that they couldn't reach the rebels in time and so decided to fight her themself.

The battle subsided in under an hour and the mysterious mare or stallion emerged victorious, as the sun came back up to the sky. The mysterious mare or stallion hasn't been seen after that incident, however, and had been declared the Restoration Hero for saving Equestria in its time of despair.

As I finished reading the book I found myself wondering, “Why did that seem to familiar?”

Then the door opened revealing Spike the Dragon opening the door. Realizing I was awake Spike called out, “Twilight, Stargazer's awake!”

In a flash of purple magic, Twilight teleported herself in front of me. “Star, you're finally awake! Where have you been for the past few years?”

“Star?” I thought intrigued, but seeing the reason to lie I told her the truth, “I was on a planet called Earth. I'm not entirely sure how I got there though,” I admitted.

“Earth?” Twilight quickly began levitated books off and back on the shelves looking for a certain book.

“Twilight, here's the book you want.” Spike had somehow found the book before Twilight.

"Thanks, Spike." Twilight started flipping through the book upon finding the page she wanted, she smiled triumphantly. “I knew it! Earth is the place inhabited by humans. The creatures Lyra is so interested in, but I wonder how you got there. Even Discord was unsure.”

“Is there there anypony we could go to that does know, like Lyra?” I asked.

Twilight thought about this. “Well, Lyra is very interested in humans, but she doesn't actually know much about them.” Then she saw the look on my face. “Oh I already spoke to her about this subject before as I've traveled to a human world as well, but it doesn't seem like the one you were on, because we would have found you a long time ago.”

“Is there anypony else?”

“I could ask the princesses for help, but I think we should go directly to them instead of just writing as someone could find out about you if someone who isn't supposed to sees that letter. You think you're up for it?”

“Yeah I don't see why not. It could reveal some very useful information.”

“Good, now I have to go pack. Seeing as you don't have anything to pack, though, you could try practicing your shapeshifting. Discord told me you just started relearning it, so if you use it more you may be able to get better at it,” Twilight explained. “It is possible that you may need to use it, because if anypony finds out about you they may try to use you for their own personal gain.”

I thought about this for a moment and asked, “What forms should I try changing into?”

“Well, maybe you should try turning into a pegasus or a unicorn. As a pegasus you can fly away and if you get the hang of it you can teleport away as a unicorn.”

“Okay, I'll try it out while you're packing up your stuff.”

“Right I'll see you in a little bit!” Twilight walked out of the room leaving just Spike and me.

“I don't really have anything to do at the moment. Can I stay and watch you?” Spike asked a little sheepishly.

“Eh, sure. Maybe I can do even better with an audience,” I mused.

“Alright!” Spike shouted, but then he realized I was there too, “heh heh, sorry.”

“It's alright” I replied.

Then I closed my eyes then imagined myself with wings. I felt myself spreading out my wings as they formed.

“Woah,” Spike breathed in. “That's amazing!”

I slowly opened my eyes and snapped my wings back to my side. Then I opened them again to make sure they function. A grin crawls onto my face. “They seem to be working fine, but let's see how well I can fly with them.”

I flapped my wings downwards and soon I was off the ground. Luckily this library was pretty big so I had room to work with.

I flew around the room in a big circle. Then I remembered something from the show.

I started ascending to the the top, which was actually pretty high up for a library. It seemed to go up a few hundred feet.

As soon as I reached the top I stopped for a moment to catch my breath. I prepared myself , but then Spike shouted up to me, “What are you doing? That's really high up. You could hurt yourself!”

“You'll see,” Was my only response.

I started diving, building up speed. Soon I saw an air cine in front of me and Spike’s eyes widened. I was about break the cone when suddenly it snapped back forcing me to fly up into the air.

I instinctively shapeshifted into a unicorn flaring up my horn. I was trying to teleport, but it wasn't working. Right as I was about to hit the ceiling, though, I reappeared on the ground in a flash of white. I was breathing hard, almost panting from my near crash into the ceiling.

Spike instantly ran to my side, “Stargazer, are you okay?”

“Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just a little tired,” I said.

Spike sighed, relieved. “Next time be more careful, okay?”

“Yeah, I will. Thanks for worrying about me.”

“No pro--”

Then, Twilight ran into the room, “What just happened? I heard something loud crack from my room and came to check on it.”

“I- um, may have tried to do a sonic rainboom, but failed. Heh heh,” I replied, feeling ashamed.

“But- What? That was extremely reckless of you. That’s something I would except Rainbow Dash to do!.If you failed the resulting air cone should have knocked you all the way to the ceiling! Do you know how many bones you could have broken? How are you not hurt?”

“I kinda used my powers to turn into a unicorn and teleported down here?” I replied, hoping it was the right answer.

Twilight's eyes widened. “But that's really advanced magic! Having to teleport while reducing your momentum to zero is something I learned 3 years after I turned in to alicorn. That's just how advanced it is. And to top it off you did it under pressure as well. How are you this powerful?”

While I was wondering how Twilight said all that in one breath I responded, “I'm not sure. I kinda just did it. Come to think of it it wasn't even really that hard for me. It just felt like it since I had such a short time frame to pull it off. It also felt like I've done it before and I was a little rusty at it.”

Twilight's eye twitched. “Rusty? Judging by the height of the ceiling and from time of the crack followed by the burst of magic I heard, you had about a two second time frame to pull it off and that's assuming you teleported right as you hit the ceiling! I stand by my earlier statement: How are you this powerful?

“Ugh, never mind, you obviously don't know. Let's just get going I finished packing anyways.”

Twilight, Spike, and I made our way to the train station, stopping along the way at Sugar Cube Corner, because we hadn't eaten breakfast yet, which is where I met Pinkie Pie.

She tried to get a “Welcome Back to Equestria” party ready for me, even though she didn't know about me at all, because Twilight forgot to tell her about me, claiming that she was busy.

Luckily Twilight grabbed Pinkie's tail with with her magic and stopped her. Apparently Twilight doesn't want anyone to know about me yet and she made Pinkie do a pinkie promise to prevent from telling anyone.

Anyways with that over we got to the train station and bought our tickets. For some reason we got four tickets, an extra.

“Why do we have an extra ticket?” I inquired, thinking about who may be coming with us, “Is there somepony else coming with us?”

“Maybe. It all depends on whether or not you’ve been discovered and if your enemies will act on it if you have any at all,” Twilight explained. “If they do so something about it then you can change to get away, but if you get back to the train and you are seen before you can change back you can give them the other ticket.”

I considered this. “Okay, that makes sense,” I said slowly, “but what if it turns out we don't need it?

Twilight bit her lip, then sighed. “Well better safe than sorry, right?”

I considered this for a moment and said, “Yeah that
makes sense, but what if I have to change multiple times?”

“Hmm, I guess just stick with your pegasus form?” Twilight mused. “That way you can have an easy escape out a window and get back seemingly as that same pony.”

“Okay, good idea, but I don't really want to change just, yet. I'll only change if I need to. Also there isn't really anywhere to do it without anypony seeing me right now”

“Oh, right!” Twilight laughed. “Oops!”

“ALL ABOARD!”

The train arrived. We all went aboard it and sat down in an empty compartment.

All in all though the ride went pretty smoothly. We talked about what Canterlot is like and how Celestial is like as a pony.

As a bonus I also got to see the cool scenery between Ponyville and Canterlot.

We started walking up to Canterlot Castle was and where the princesses lived. We encountered many nobles along the way. Unfortunately they were pretty much all snobs, because whenever I happened to be in their way and they walked into me they were very rude about it, saying that “I should watch where I was going.”

I don't think I'm going to like any of the nobles here.

When we made it to the front of the castle the we were met the Royal Guard. They stepped aside and bowed.

“Princess Twilight Sparkle, welcome,” They chorused, before standing back up.

One of them stepped forward and asked quizzically, “But what are you doing here, princess? We weren't told if your arrival.”

Twilight face hoofed, “Ugh, oh right. I knew I forgot something.”

I got a little confused. “But I thought you didn't want anyone to know we were coming.”

Twilight sighed, “Well, I didn't want anyone to know about specifically, except for the princess, but I did want her know we were coming so she could get ready.”

“Okay,” I said slowly. “So when do we go inside?”

The same guard from before stepped up again to answer, “Unfortunately since you have failed to contact the princess you will have to wait until the day court is over. You can wait in your old room, when you were living here, if you would like or you can stay with your parents.”

Twilight takes a glance at me and sighs, “As much as I would like to catch up with my family, I would also like as little people as possible to know about this.”

“That's understandable, but with all due respect, you are a princess right? Anypony would recognize you trotting around Canterlot at this time of day.”

Twilight blushed a little, “Oh! It was a disguise spell I created that lets select ponies see me as myself and everypony else as a random passerby.

“Hmm, given your status as a guard I could teach you the spell later for any stealth missions your ponis decide to undertake.”

The guard rubbed his chin, “Well, that would be useful. Yes, it would be an honor to learn from you, Princess. Thank you”

That was when I realized something. “Your ponies?” I asked speaking to the guard. “Are you a high ranking guard?”

“Yes,” She puffed out her chest. “In fact I am second in command here. I am Lieutenant Sweet Heart, but don't let the name fool you I can easily beat you if I have to.”

To this Twilight started giggling. “Oh, I don't think you'll be beating Stargazer. If you are ever unfortunate enough to face him that is.”

“Is that so?” Asked Sweet Heart. “Well I guess I gotta see him in action first.” She had a wide grin on her face. “I guess I have something to look forward to.”

“Well,” I said, “You may have to wait, because I am not exactly up to par right now, since I lost my memory.” At this Sweet Heart raised her eyebrows, but chose not to say anything. “Although, I think I still have some muscle memory of this, so there is a chance you may see it if I am in danger.”

“I see,” She replied. “Well, in any case I've held you up too long. You can go up to your room. The princess requested that we left it the way you was when you left.”

“Okay, see you later,” I told her.

“Bye” Twilight said as she rejoined the conversation.

“Yeah, see you around.” Sweet Heart waved us goodbye.

Twilight started walking and I followed to what assumed was the direction of the room she stayed in when she was learning as Celestia's personal student.

Before we got 20 feet, however, Sweet Heart started calling out to us, “Wait! The princess has requested to see you two right now.”

So we walked back over and the doors to the castle started opening. We walked through the long hallway inside and came to another set of double doors.

Inside I saw Celestia sitting on her throne. She turned to the doors.

She took one look at me and narrowed her eyes.

“Guards! Take that pony down to the dungeons right away!”
