I, as my ponysona, Zap. Travel Equestria to help stop the evil that is threting to take over

You've probably read many storys about a human being sent to Equestria. Some fall asleep and find themselves in Equestria when they awaken. Others are killed and given a second chance at life as a pony. I however, was not sent to Eqestria. I sent myself there, not though magic, but though my own free will. I had no choice, but apon my arrival, I realised, that I couldn't have chosen a worse time to come to the land I'd only dreamed of visiting.

Taking on the appearance of my ponysona, Zap. I, with the help of a group of rather familiar faces, travel around Equestria to find the cause of the rising hatred that was spreading throughout the once peaceful land, and to finally vanquish, the mysterious evil, behind it all.

A Strange Transformation

It was the last week of term before the summer holidays, and I was rather excited. The year had passed so quickly it was unbelievable. It was Tuesday, and the entire college was having an assembly..at the same time..in the sports hall. It was for a good cause, but even so, I wasn't looking forward to sitting in a crowded room with twelve hundred other students for two hours.

Anyway, when I arrived at school, and sat down in the sports hall. I wasn't really expecting much to happen, I knew I'd be sitting there for a while, completely bored out of my mind, but even so, what was going to happen over the next few hours, was defiantly not what I was expecting.

After about an hour, I felt something tickling my left hand, I looked at it, but there was nothing there, so I ignored it, and just continued to listen to the head teachers speech.

After only a few moments, I felt another tickerling sensation, but this time in my right hand. As I looked at it, I saw something yellow spark from my finger before disappearing. I thought I was imagining things, so I ignored it. But before I could do anything else, I saw another yellow spark coming from my hand. I was completely confused, what was happening, was I imagining it, or were little yellow sparks flashing around my fingers.

I looked at the back of my hand, the day before I'd drawn my ponysonas cutie mark on it, mainly because I was bored, but it made me think. My ponysona could control electricity with ease, the yellow sparks I'd seen, looked a lot like electricity. Maybe I was dreaming, maybe this wasn't real life...

Before I had a chance to get my head around what was happening, the mark on my hand started to glow faintly, and then, after a few seconds a bright white light engulfed me and lightning sparked around it, I was scared, but it was so bright, i couldn't see what was happening.

After what seemed like for ever, but was only a few seconds, the light cleared. I was laying on the floor, and as I opened my eyes, I realised that my hair was draped across my face, but what shocked me, was that it was not light brown..but blue...I sat up and rubbed my head, but I couldn't feel my fingers, I looked at what I thought would be my hand, but was instead a..a..a hoof. I stood up slowly and looked at my back, wings, two blue feathered wings where folded against my sides. I glanced at my hip, and saw a yellow lightning bolt, that was slightly shaped like the letter 'Z', placed there, my cutie mark.

That's when I realised that everyone, even the teachers, where staring at me. I looked around, the people sat near me where edging away slowly. One of the boys who had been sat beside me looked up at me and spoke.

"What happened to you?" his friends where nudging him and telling him to move away.

"I---I don't know.." I mumbled.

I flapped my wings a few times and lifted off the ground. I flew around the hall and landed in front of my two best friends, they looked at me, confused. They where two of only five people who knew I was a brony, or pegasister or whatever you want to call them. They to were into the fandom, not as much as me, but, as far as I knew, they liked the show and all that. I looked at them, scared, worried, frightened. They knew who I was, they knew the pony I'd become. My ponysona, Zap.

"You better go." one of them said. "Before someone tries to catch you."

"I know but..What if I never see you again." I whimpered.

"It'll be ok." the other smiled. She hugged me tightly and I wrapped my hoof around her shoulder. "Just promise you'll return if you can." She whispered into my ear.

"I will." I replied, before letting go of her and taking off again. I flew across the room and towards the door, but before I left, I looked at everybody who was sat in the room, they where still staring at me, I saw a couple of people with massive smiles on there faces, I guessed they to, where bronies. I sighed before landing in front of the door, I opened it slowly, and walked out. I was expecting people to follow, but they didn't, no one did. I left the building and flew up into the sky.

Flying felt amazing, I was now very glad that I'd made my ponysona a Pegasus. At first I thought that flying would be hard, but I felt as if I 'd been able to do it all my life. I headed towards the main gate of the school. I didn't know what had happened, but I had a pretty good idea that the only way I'd find out, was if I left the school grounds and had a look around town.

I flew over the gates and followed the road towards my house. The streets where fairly quite, it was ten o'clock on a Tuesday morning after all. But the people who were there, looked up at me and just frowned, they obviously thought they where seeing things.

I reached the church in the middle of town, and landed on the top. There was an amazing view of the town from up there, I could see everything, the super market, the park, the schools...My house. I sighed.

I can't go back... I thought. If I do..What will my mum and dad think.. I looked at the sky, it was overcast, and rather chilly for the middle of July, It had been raining the day before, and the clouds were still rather grey, and I was hoping it wouldn't start raining again. I closed my eyes and thought. What do I do..Where should I go? As I opened my eyes, a white flash caught my eye. I turned my head and saw a very peculiar looking cloud, it almost looked 2D and was pure white, causing it to stand out against the others. I flew towards it, and as I came close to it, I could feel a strange energy flowing from the cloud, I touched it gently with my hoof, and a white circle of light started to appear slowly. When it stopped growing, I put my hoof in slowly, sparks of electricity flew down my leg and threw my body, causing me to pull my hoof back.

"What the.." I muttered. I swallowed hard and took a deep breath before flying though the light. Everything went white, then black, and then, I think, I passed out..

Where Am I??

As I started to come to, all I could here was voices, hundreds of voices. I opened my eyes slowly, and the first things I saw where a pair of crimson eyes staring right at me. I jumped to my feet and looked at the pony stood before me, a dark unicorn stallion, the funny thing was, he seemed strangely familiar...

"W-Who are you..." I stuttered, my voice was quite, I was scared and confused, why did this stallion seem so darn familiar to me?

"That's not important. Why are you here?" he asked, his voice showing no emotion but his eyes where full of anger.

"I--I don't know...I didn't mean to come here.." I muttered, he didn't seem to belive me though.

"Of course you didn't. You know, its not everyday I find an unconscious Pegasus laying in the street, shouldn't you be up in the clouds with all your friends." he said slyly, I didn't understand, I thought that everypony, regardless of there species, where welcome to roam the streets freely, but maybe I was wrong.

"What do you mean, I thought everypony was welcome everywhere, regardless of there species." I said, starting to find my voice.

"Where have you been the past three years?" He asked, the horn on his head started glowing faintly. My heart was pounding in my chest, I was petrified, I couldn't compete with unicorn magic. That's when I noticed, that all the ponies surrounding me, where unicorns, not an earth pony in sight, or a Pegasus for that matter. I was surrounded, there was no way out, I thought I was done for.

That's when I heard the flapping of feathers coming from above, a Pegasus flew down towards me and wrapped there fore hooves round my waist, lifting me into the air and flying upwards towards the clouds. I looked up at who had saved me, they had a solid blue coat, that seemed to dark a shade to be natural colouring.

We flew though the thick cloud barrier and they slowly lowed me onto the clouds.

"Who are you?" I asked, as they let go of me. But as they came into my view, I recognised them instantly, this stallion, was one of my OC's, one I'd made quite recently in fact, I knew who he was, but I didn't say anything.

"I'm Hurricane." he smiled. "Who are you? Haven't seen you round here before."

"I'm Zap." I smiled. "I'm not surprised you haven't seen me before, I only just arrived here. Oh and..thanks for helping back there."

"Don't worry 'bout it. Just don't expect me to save your butt again anytime soon." he smiled. "That guy's pretty violent, I don't know him very well but he will attack anyone who gets in his way. Come to think of it, why didn't you just fly away?"

"Well, I would of flew off, but I was..I was rather scared, I didn't know what was going on..." I sighed. Not sure how I was expecting Hurricane to react, guess I was expecting him to laugh, but he didn't, he seemed to understand. And if that unicorn was who I think he was, I'm not surprised.

"No need to be ashamed. I'd be pretty scared to if I was faced with him and about a hundred other unicorns." he said.

"This'll sound like a stupid question. But why where there only unicorns down there? And why did he seem so aggressive towards me? I never did anything." at first he didn't reply, the smile on his face disappeared, and I realised that something must of been wrong. "Is everything all right?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'd rather not talk about it, but I guess you have a right to know if you don't already. For the past three years, the three species that roam Equestrian, well, they haven't exactly been getting along, I don't know why, and many ponies have tried to find out the cause of all the hatred, but so far, no one has been able to help. Even Princess Celestia can't stop who ever is causing all this. The thing is, not everypony wants to fight, some could care less, but some ponies who have shown little interest in fighting have literally disappeared, including my sister...She was young, she didn't understand, now I don't even know if she's still alive. I haven't seen my father in three years either. Since he isn't a Pegasus. Everypony's been hit hard by all this fighting, families have been broken apart and friendships destroyed. I've done what I can, but I fear that if I stop then I'll be taken away as well..." he said sadly, I walked closer to him and gently placed my hoof on his shoulder.

"It'll be ok, I'm sure your sister will be fine, and I'm sure that we can find the cause to all this." I smiled, trying to reassure him. But then it hit me, did this have something to do with why I was sent here?

He smiled softly. Before he spoke again. "Thanks, Zap. Come on, lets go find my mum, she's been trying to stop the fighting for a good year now, working with some of her close friends to help the Princess stop all this nonsense, she's been travelling back and forth from Canterlot allot recently, but I think she's at home at the moment, follow me its not far." He smiled, starting to look a little more cheerful. He flapped his wings a few times and took of into the air. I unfolded my wings and followed behind.

We where flying for about ten minutes before we made it to Hurricane's house, although, the cloud building looked allot like a certain cyan Pegasus mares house from the show. We landed by the front door, and as I looked around, I saw a small pen with straw and a little hut in it.

"Huh..what's that?" I said to myself, but Hurricane must of heard me, as he turned and hopped over the fence, how he jumped over it so easily I don't know, since the fence was nearly as tall as I was..

"This is Tank's pen." Hurricane smiled as he put his fore hooves into the little hut and pulled out a tortoise. "Little guys older I am, mum adopted him a few years before I was born." Tank smiled slowly as Hurricane held him in his arms.

"He's cute." I smiled as flew over the fence and walked over to them.

"Yeah. He is isn't he. You wanna hold him?" He asked. I thought for a moment before replying.

"No thanks. Maybe later. Besides, didn't we come here to see your mum." I smiled. I did really want to hold the little tortoise, but I was scared I would drop him, since I wasn't sure if I'd be able to hold things with my hooves yet..

"Oh ok." the blue stallion smiled as he put Tank down and jumped back over the fence. I followed, but I flew over the fence since I doubted I'd be able to hop over it like Hurricane did.

Just as he was about to knock on the door, it opened and a rainbow maned Pegasus stood in the doorway and smiled.

"Hi Hurricane." she smiled. "Who's your friend?"

"This is Zap." he smiled.

"Its nice to meet you." I said.

"Its nice to meet you too, Zap." she smiled. That's when I realised, that the mare stood before me was Rainbow Dash. One of the fastest flyers in Equestria. I was still so confused that I'd forgotten half of the things I knew about my own OC's, and actually meeting them didn't help my confusion go away either. I'd completely forgotten that Hurricane was Rainbow's son, which was weird considering the two's similaritys. There mane and tails wheres styled similarly, though Hurricane's was cut shorter, and they where both pretty fast flyers to.

I guess I'm a couple years ahead of the shows canon, or maybe a few more than a couple, I'm gonna guess a good twenty years, I dunno, since I have no idea how old Hurricane is...

Rainbow invited us inside. I followed behind Hurricane as we walked into the living room, but as we all sat down, the smile on the cyan mares face disappeared, I didn't say anything, but I was rather confused as to why she suddenly seemed so upset.

"Is everything all right?" Hurricane asked. His voice was full of worry and fear, Rainbow sighed before she replied.

"I have some bad news, Hurricane." she spoke. "I received a letter from your father this morning, Lightning's disappeared, he's been taken.." Lightning...no no no..not..how..he's..

"What! But how! He's four years old! He doesn't understand what's happening!" he said loudly, his voice was wobbly and tears started to form in his emerald green eyes. I put my hoof on his shoulder but he pushed me away, he jumped off the sofa and ran up the stairs.

"Who's Lightning?" I asked, I knew, but if I said I knew it would probably freak Rainbow out a bit, since she's never met me before.

"Lightning is Hurricane's younger brother. He's been living with his father for the past three years, since there both Earth Ponies it wouldn't be possible for them to live here." she said sadly, I could see she was upset. "It doesn't help that Hurricane barely knows him, since the three groups where split up when Lightning was only a year old.." she stopped as tears started to fall from her eyes. "I just don't understand--whoever is doing this is breaking families apart--they've taken Sunny and now Lightning, why are they taking young ponies who have no idea what's going on..." she cried. Sunny, or Sunshine Dash, is, as you've probably guessed, Hurricane's sister, she's a young, Pegasus filly, who loves flying fast. Yes she is one of my OC's, as is Lightning, but the fact that they've been kidnapped..or would it be foalnapped. Hmm..Anyway, kind of makes it harder for me to process everything that's happened in the last..hmm...twenty minutes or something like that.

I sat there silently as Rainbow cried, I wanted to reassure her, but how..I was lost in thought. Thinking about why I was sent here. Maybe, maybe there was a reason, maybe I was sent here to help the ponies who have suffered. But how would that work, I don't have any special powers, or do I...

Seeing Rainbow cry was rather shocking, I'd seen her tear up in the show, but never full on brake down into tears. I sighed. I felt so useless as I sat there, doing nothing. I knew I should do something to try and cheer her up.

"Miss Dash." I said softly..Then it hit me, why did I say that! She hasn't told me her name yet! She doesn't know who I am, or why I'm here! She's probably going to think I'm a mind reader or something now..

"Yeah.." she whimpered as she lifted her head slowly and looked at me, her eyes where red and her cheeks where wet with tears. Yet she didn't seem to think much of me calling her by name when she hadn't properly introduced herself to me yet.

"I understand why your upset, but you need to stay strong, I'm sure that Sunny and Lightning will be fine. I may not know much about them, or you, or Hurricane, but I will stay by you and help you, after all, your son did save me, Its only fair that I help him." I smiled. Rainbow tilted her head slightly and smiled.

"He saved you, how so?" she asked.

"Well, I ended up surrounded by Unicorns, one of them was going to attack me, but Hurricane came down and took me back up towards the clouds." I smiled.

"He's so kind hearted, he can be a little shy around fillies his own age, but if somepony needs a helping hoof, he's never afraid to help them." she smiled as she sat up. "But how did you end up surrounded by Unicorns, Pegasi are told to stay above the cloud barrier unless told otherwise."

"Its kinda hard to explain.." I said. I wasn't sure how I could tell her where I was from, she probably wouldn't belive me if I did say.

"That's OK. Your safe and that's what matters." she smiled. "And Zap,"

"Yeah."

"no need to be so formal, you can call me Rainbow, I won't be offended by it." she said. I smiled softly, though inside, I was confused as to why she hadn't asked how I knew her name. Maybe she had become a Wonderbolt and was used to being called by name to ponies she'd never met before.

The seemingly calm atmosphere was broken as a crash and a shout were heard from upstairs.

"What was that?" I asked as I looked up at the ceiling.

"Probably Hurricane, do you want to go talk to him, he's more likely to listen to you at the moment." Rainbow said as she stood up.

"Ok, but why would he listen to someone he barely knows?" I said.

"Well, he's upset, and something tells me he'd rather talk to someone who's not part of the family." she said softly. As I thought about it, what she was saying actually started to make sense. I smiled and stood up, before trotting up the stairs and down the corridor. I didn't know where Hurricane was. But I was guessing he'd be in his bedroom, but where was that?.......
