A unicorn who has lost everything will now be shown the magic of friendship
When a unicorn who has lost everything is hurt once again its the last straw for him. but can others help bring him out to show him friendship and reveal he is not doomed to pain and suffering.
I walked over to my desk looking down at the arrangement of Flowers I had bought so I picked them up as well as a card and I slowly walked over to the front door. My hooves were shaking as I reached for the door knob “I can always do it some other time… ya” I said in a shaky voice and turn around “NO That is the same thing I said last year I HAVE to do this” and so I turned around and walked to the door but stopped and looked at myself in the mirror both my dark blue coat and my dark brown mane were shining having been given a extra attention my horn was also in tip top shape, everything was set to go and with that I walked out the door.
**** “Spike could you bring me that herb” she said as she stared over a cauldron of a unknown substance, she had recently found a book with a lot of faded wording and missing pages in it along with the recipe for a potion so she had decided to find out what it does. “Spike?” she turned around to see spike running around wildly “oh I hope I haven’t forgot anything” he said as he quickly checked through his bag “never mind I will get it she said as she trotted over to a small table picked up the object in question and dropped it into the potion.
There was a knock at the door “that must be them” Spike said grabbed his bag and walked over to the door “have a nice trip to Canterlot tell Celestia I said hi” Twilight said and she continued to stare at eh potion before her. Spike opened the door to see 2 royal guards “I’m ready” he said as he walked to the carriage and jumped in “Bye twilight” he said as they flew off. Twilight waved as they flew off once they were out of sight he turned around picked up a spoon and top a sip from her potion…. and nothing happened taking a few notes down she put the spoon down and began to clean up.
So she decided she would start with the cauldron but while was emptying it she felt something nagging at the back of her brain annoying her to the point where she lost focus and spilt some of the concoction on the floor. She swore, and kicked the side of the sink with a loud thud she stopped, she had never sworn before but now that she thought about it the act was entire justified so she sworn was more getting quite angry from the fact that she now had a new mess to clean up. After she had finally cleaned the mess of the caldron up see was much angrier than when she had started she couldn’t explain the anger that she was faced with but really she didn’t care. She looked at the herbs and bottles that she still had to clean up and gave a annoyed grunt, as she levitated them sorting them back to their original spot but at this time she was to angry to concentrate and ended up dropping a vile of a very precious herb of the floor ruining it. She swore once again and as she threw a chair at the book shelf causing the books to tumble off this caused Twilight to get even angrier as she realized that she had an even bigger mess to clean up when she started so absolutely sheathing see got to work in silence.
Scattered throughout the pile of books she found pages the made her think that she had a damaged book which didn’t help her temper so she gathered up the paper and set it on her desk so she began to pile up the books before putting them away and she searched each one to see if it was damaged in anyway. After seeing that none of them had any sign of harm she walked over and examined the pages to see if they had any clues as to what book the belonged to and upon closer inspection she found they were apart of the book that she had been reading earlier and of the potion she had made earlier. Diving into the she was able to find out the side potions effects on whatever pony drinks them. “this potion was discovered by a pony who was seeking revenge on one who had wrong him and used it to cause the pony to get in trouble with the royal leader at the time and was imprisoned for a short while. The point of this potion is to aggravate the drinker and create feelings of hate and anger the potion lasts for several hours or until the pony next goes to sleep”. Twilight set the pages down now knowing what the cause of her anger was, but she still didn’t seem to care all she felt was anger that such a stupid and useless potion had ruined her day. There was a knock at the door
******* I put my hoof down after I had knocked on the door heating up as I began to get nervous. Twilight opened the door with a less then welcoming “what”. “um Twilight, I, um, will you be my special someone for hearts and hooves day” I blurted out “It’s just your so smart and from the first moment I saw you I fell in love, every time I look at you, you fill my heart up with joy, and you can always cheer up a day of sadness for me, so will you be my special someone” I said as I placed the card and flowers in front of her. Twilight stared down at the items in front of her than looked at the pony still angry and said “oh what a pathetic gift from a pathetic pony” she said as I stared back in shock “who would have thought that a pony like you could think that I would like you, in fact I don’t see any pony liking you, you should go back to your house lock the door and never come out and in fact about your little gifts” Twilight reared back and stomped on the items multiple times and with that she slammed the door shut.
I stood there my mouth agape as my body tremble and I turned around and I ran back to my house locked the door and silently walked over to my desk. Levitating a small note pad and pencil I collapsed on the floor and began to write something down. As I wrote It became increasingly hard to write with each letter when finally I screamed and ripped all the pages from the book and began to cry on the floor “WHY, WHY IS IT THAT EVERYTHING THAT I LOVE AND CHARESH RIPPED AWAY FROM ME” I screamed as I bawled on the floor and after what seemed like hours and I could no longer cry I stood up and walked outside to a place that I sometimes went to when I was feeling sad.
Meanwhile…. Twilight after slamming the door in my face and feeling satisfied surveyed the room and got angry when she remembered that she still had a huge mess to clean up, giving a very annoyed grunt she kick over a pile of books which in turn started an avalanche burring and knocking out Ywilight sparkle.
Later (after the potion had worn off) Twilight awoke under what was a immense pile of books she lifted the pile up with magic and stretched out her sore limbs “uuggg why is it such a mess in here, no matter” she said and because she could now think clearly she was able to make quick work of the library and had everything back in its place. Glancing at the clock and realizing what time it was “OH SHOOT, I’m late to meet the girls at the spa” galloping towards the door she opened it and was about to gallop off when she stepped on something at her door step a mashed up pile of flowers and a small letter I wonder what these are doing here she said picking them up. Suddenly all of her memories came back from when she had first taken the potion and when she had been knocked out, she could barely breathe at first as she sat there in horror at everything she had said and done forgetting about everything she galloped off towards my house
“ED!!!” she scream as she barreled through the door she ran through the house searching for me once realizing that I wasn’t there she trotted back into the main room and looked at all of the pages on the floor with a quick spell she was able to determine what the pages numbers where and quickly arranged the accordingly. Her heart filled with sadness as she skimmed through the pages and when she read the last entre she began to fill with a mixture of dread, terror, sadness and the general oh my god wtf have I done felling. And with this she burst out of my house and headed to the spa
********* “OH this is the life” rarity said as laid her head back against the side of the spa tub. Rainbow, Fluttershy, Applejack and pinkie were also in the tub, “OH this bath is so amazing it’s so quiet and….” “GIRLS” Twilight screamed as she ran in. everypony jumped in surprise as she yelled ad turned to face “what is it sugarcube” apple jack said immediately upon hearing her stressed voice, Twilight took a deep breath in as she explained everything that had happened in the past little bit and with in seconds they were searching everywhere.
With no success they all met in town square “where is he oh where is he twilight said as she search around and stopped and charged back to the group “found him yet” twilight blurted out when she reached them and was disappointed when all she heard was no’s from them. “hey what are you grils up to” the cutie mark crusaders said as they approached the group “HAVE YOU SEEN ED” twilight screamed a them. All startled but twilight “um ya he was up at sunset hill” sweetie belle said as she realized she was talking to a dust cloud of where twilight had been before taking off to where I was.
********* Sunset hill is a steep slope on one side and a cliff on the other. It has its name because it gives a excellent view of the sunset.
I sat on the hill head down on the grass as I though over everything that had happened to me, was I really always going to be alone? Yes, there was no question about it there is nothing for me but just sadness and I can’t take it any more so I looked across and saw the sun going down as rays of light and darkness shot across the shy seemingly battling each other for victory. Standing up I walked over to the edge of the cliff looking one last time I jumped off and began to plummet to the ground below.
Was this it? Is this were my life is supposed to flash before my eyes? Well even though that wasn’t happening I looked at the sunset on the way down it truly was a beautiful sunset and I was glad as this was my final sunset that it was such a beautiful one. The rays of yellow orange and red yielded to the rays of purple, blue, and black as the sun crept down. I held my hoof up to my face looking one last time at myself before I started to glow a light purple but before I could find out why all there was, was pain and darkness.
My fuzzy mind slowly began to slowly wake up from the endless sleep it was in but then I sensed something…. a sound but how could I hear stuff? I’m dead, the pain of the other world is now behind me and can’t hurt me anymore. But what is that? I began to pull together my shattered thoughts, I still had no feeling in my body yet. Wait do I even have a body? Is this all there is? I could now somewhat make out the sound as me senses came back to me and some feeling returned it was a rhythmic beating sound by now I had somewhat control and was able to force my heavy eyelids open.
Everything made sense now. The beeping noise was coming for a heart rate monitor, I was in a hospital! But it didn’t make any sense I shouldn’t have been alive the fall was should have been more than enough to kill myself, but anyways I can think of that later. I tried to stretch but I soon found that I couldn’t move any of my legs, looking down I saw that leather straps sacred me to the bed all except my back left leg which was in a cast. The rest of my body was covered in burses and the left side of body was covered in bandages.
The lights were off and with nothing to I laid my head back to sleep. The door opened, I waited a few seconds before opening my eyes and when I did I saw somepony that was unmistakable: Pinkie Pie. All though she was different, her mane was deflated and she looked completely sad I had never seen her like this before so it came as a complete shock to me. She slowly walked over to the side of me bed and took out flowers from her saddle bag and placed them on the night stand and looked over at me. “oooohhhhh your awake I’m so glad your alright” she said in a hushed voice smiling weakly “I was so worried after you…..” Pinkie Pie stopped and her mouth closed along with her eyes. Her body began to tremble and then suddenly her eyes snapped open.
“HOW DARE YOU, HOW DARE YOU!!!!!!!” she said her deflated mane lit on fire and shot up into the air and her eyes beamed of something that might have been equivalent to Fluttershy’s stare. “HOW DARE YOU DO SOMETHING AS FOALISH AND SILLY AS THAT THERE ARE ALLWAYS OTHER WAYS TO DEAL WITH SOMETHING BAD YOU ARE IN BIG TROUBLE MISTER” she screamed at the volume 2 times Luna’s royal Canterlot voice. My entire body was shivering and my heart rate monitor was going crazy this but as soon as it had started it had stopped. Pinkies hair return to the way it was before and said “but I’m glad you’re ok”.
The doors open and doctors and nurses flew into the room and a nurse picked up a fire extinguisher and tried to spray the ceiling with it but instead of the white power, Icing shot out instead to which pinkie replied “oh I knew I left my 2 tons of icing at the fire extinguisher factory”. “Sedate him” I heard one of the doctors say as my heart continued to go crazy before I was greeted with blackness once again.

Once again a hoof pounded on the door to the library “oh come on sugarcube you really shouldn’t stay cooped up in there were your friends and were here to talk to you” Applejack said but was still not greeted with a response she sighed no matter who or how hard somepony tried they were unable to get Twilight to come out even Spike who had some back from his after he spent the night in canterlot was staying at Fluttershy’s house could get in. “well I think I will just leave these here then” she said pacing a bag of groceries in front of the door turned and left at least she knew that Twilight was eating this way but she was still sad as she went to meet the others girls at Flutters house because Rainbow said she had a plan. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Applejack had finally made it to Fluttershy’s house she trotted on the small bridge she could hear the birds chirping and singing but she didn’t have time to listen to them right now she had to meet up with the rest of the gang to find out what to do. She tapped on the door with her hoof and waited.
“Hello?” replied Fluttershy in a hushed voice sticking her head out “oh it’s you applejack come on in, me Spike and Rainbow already here” “thank you Fluttershy, so were still waiting for Rarity and Pinkie?” Applejack said as she trotted in. “Actually no Pinkie Pie went to visit Ed in the hospital she not doing great either I think the fact that Twilight won’t come out and of what Ed did has made Pinkie quite sad in a way but other than that it’s just rarity” Fluttershy finished.
Applejack looked around the small cottage spike was sitting on the couch looking down right miserable and rainbow sat with her forelegs crossed “Why is it taking so long for Rarity to get here” she said in frustration. “I’m here” Rarity said walking in the door.
Apple jack raised an eyebrow, rarity walked in wearing a dress, rubies neckless as well as a hat to complete the outfit making everything seem a bit over the top. “Don’t I look simply fabulous girls” Rarity said with a smile “ya you look wonderful, but what took you so long” dash said in an annoyed voice. “Well since this is such a VERY important meeting I couldn’t just come to it looking drab no could I and I think that’s worth time doing” Rarity said waving her hoofs around in gestures for effect “fine but now that you’re here lose the outfit we have work to do” rainbow said back “NO” “YES” “N..” “GIRLS” Applejack interrupted “this is important and were not going to stand around bickering now rarity”. “Fine I will take off the dress and the hat but the necklace stays” “OK now let’s get down to business here is what we should do…..”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Twilight laid on her bed mane a complete mess she slowly got up her stomach refusing to wait any longer for food as she trotted down stairs and began to rummage through her fridge “TWILIGHT” Rainbow yelled from the other side of the door “this has gone on long enough it’s time to stop to this and tell us how you feel”. Twilight shot the door a glance of anger “I already told you to go away I want to be left alone” Twilight yelled back. “Ok then you asked for this CHARGE” Rainbow yelled as the door was blown from its hinges by a battering ram as the girls charged in “quick hold her down!”. Fluttershy charged towards Twilight as she tried to recover from the shock of her home being invaded, Fluttershy sprang into the air as she got to Twilight but just before she tackled her she stopped in mid air hovering over her. “um do you mind if I tackle you and pin you to the ground?” Fluttershy asked, everypony in the room face hoofed except Fluttershy and twilight.
Twilight having fully recovered from shock screamed “I SAID LEAVE MY ALONE” and she sent a powerful shock wave through the room with magic knocking everypony back giving her a chance to charge up to her room and magically seal each entrance so that no one could get in.
“So what seems to be bothering you my faith student” twilight whirled around to see princess Celestia standing behind her the balcony door open she gorgeous mane fluctuating in the golden sunlight that shone out behind her. “Princess Celestia” Twilight said bowing, but she walked up and placed a hoof on her shoulder. “There is no need for that now… I have not come today as a princess or your teacher but as a friend and someone who cares about you and what I need you to tell me everything that happened every thought that has passed through your mind in the last 24 hours I need you to tell me” Celestia said kneeling down beside twilight bringing them to eye level. Twilight looked into Celestia’s eyes tears welling up she collapsed into Celestia’s embrace and began to cry,
“It’s all my fault princess, I was sssooooo stupid what was I thinking drinking that potion when I had no idea what was in it and I could have found out about it to if I had actually looked carefully around the library before I drank it, and how could I say such horrible things to Ed even if I was super angry and to ED maybe if it was some other pony they wouldn’t have reacted the way they did but when I went to his house I found his journal and I didn’t know anypony had such a horrible past and when he had tried to ask me to be his special some pony as well I was just….” Twilight was soon unable to speak as she cried into Celestia’s embrace. “twilight” Celestia said looking down at her faithful student “it’s not your fault everypony makes mistakes once and a while and yours just came at a bad time and as for what you said that is in no way your fault either beside stop worrying about what has happened and start thinking about what you can do to fix it and I think I know just how to do it, and also I think it’s time we put some other ponies worries to rest as well” and with that princess Celestia stood up and unlocked the doors to the room allowing Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow dash, and Fluttershy to move inside “oh thank goodness we were so worried about you” Fluttershy said.
Twilight stood up wiping the tears off of her face and smiled “thank you everypony for being so concerned but you don’t have to worry anymore I am fine now thanks to Princess Celestia, she said looking up at her mentor “anyways what were you ponies going to do anyways” Twilight said looking at the 4 of them. They shuffled uncomfortably “It doesn’t really matter twilight all that matters is….” Applejack began to say before being cut off by Rainbow Dash “we were going to break the door down and Fluttershy was supposed to hold you down while we tie you to the couch and we weren’t going to let you up until you told us what was bothering you” Rainbow said receiving a harsh look from Applejack. “anyways” Twilight said with an annoyed look on her face “what did you have in mind Princess Celestia” asked Twilight “well I..” Celestia began before pinkie appeared out of nowhere bouncing up and down saying “he’s awake, he’s awake, he’s awake” she said startling everyone in the room. “well that’s great new pinkie but where did you come from and how did you get in here?” Twilight asked “well I came from outside I walked up to the bedroom door and opened it silly” pinkie pie concluded “ok whatever, let’s go and see Ed before we do anything else” “well actually he’s not awake any more he had to be sedated after I kind of.. um … lost my temper and started yelling at him”.
Everypony in the room looked at pinkie, she rarely lost her temper and when she did she exploded “well then before anything else interrupts me let’s talk about what needs to be done” Celestia said as everypony gathered round “we need to…….”

The smoke stun my eye’s as I pushed up against the beam that pinned down my father. “Son go before the fire gets to you” he managed to choke out.
“NO I can’t leave you, I just have to push a little harder” I said trying to move as I felt it shift slightly “son listen please leave me there is nothing you can do now go before you die with me” he said looking at me with pleading eye’s
“No I’m not going to leave you were both going to be fine I just have to push a little harder” I said as my muscle strained to move the Immense weight.
“you always were stubborn” he said with a slight chuckle and with that he grabbed me and before I could do anything he used the last of his strength to throw me out the window “DDDDDDDDDDDAAAAAAAAAAAADDDDDDDD”.

I jolted awake examining my surroundings Dad room I looked at straps that held me down and sighed “that’s going to make entertainment a problem” I said as I laid on the bed. I thought about what I was doing before I last fell asleep as images of pinkie pie flashed through my head, giving a shiver I hoped that I was never going to go through that again. I was going to see if I could get some sleep but then I heard hoof steps coming from outside.
“Hello” a grey mare said as she burst in through the door carrying a brown paper bag. I looked at her trying not to stare, she was a Pegasus grey fur with a with a blonde hair her cutie mark consisted of a few bubbles and her most puzzling feature was her eye’s which had both of them staring in different directions.
Not wanting to insult her I refrained from asking. “um hello? May I ask your name and why you have come to visit me?” I said looking at her standing in front of me “oh sorry my name is Ditzy Doo or Derpy I came to cheer you up silly everyone can have some moments in your life where you feel down so I got together a little present and came down here to give it to” Derpy said.
We stared at each other for a few seconds before the mare said “OH your gift right anyways I am proud to present you with my favorite food” she paused, stood on her hind legs razing the bag over her head and said “MMMUUUFFFIIIINNNNSSSS”.
And with that she turned the bag over and muffins began to come out in a endless stream as they began to fill up the room “YYAAAYYY” Derpy said under the shower of muffin that cascaded down from the mountain. My jaw hit the floor as I looked at the bizarre site. Finally after what was about 30 seconds the fountain stopped and Derpy stood triumphantly on top she slid down the mountain and presented me with one and shoved it into my open mouth.
I was hit like a train to the face with flavor, that muffin was the most amazing muffin I had ever eating. I chew slowly and when I was done I looked at Derpy and said “one how did you fit so many muffins in there, two that was delicious did you make that yourself?” “Yup I made it myself and I’m glad you like it, but as for the amount I had a unicorn enchant it so that it can hold more” Derpy said
“Anyways I have to deliver mail now so enjoy your muffins” Derpy finish as she walked out of the room. I went to grab another one but was held back by the leather restraints glaring at them I sighed and sat down starring at the delicious muffins that were so close and so far away.
“It’s time for your afternoon me WWWWHHHHHAAAAAA” the nurse said before being buried under the muffins. I laughed and said “you know I would help you but I’m kind on tied up at the moment” and with that I closed my eyes and once again began to sleep as the nurse struggled to get out from under the pile of muffins.

“You guys go on a head I think I’m going to wait here for the moment” twilight said as they reached the entrance to the hospital. “You sure twilight, I mean you need to be in there as well” Applejack said looking at twilight “ya you guys go on ahead I will come in when I’m ready” twilight said looking down at the ground.
As much as the group wanted to protest they understood a little about how she felt and so they went inside and began making their way towards my room.
“Um rainbow I thought his room was that way” Rarity said looking at rainbow as she lead them through the hospital “I know but I wanted to take a slight detour to see what Pinkie looked like this time” Rainbow said as they came to the security office.
The whole group shuttered except pinkie when they thought about the last time pinkie had gotten angry. It was when applejack had broken a Pinkie promise and Pinkie went berserk.
A few minutes later….
They emerged from the security office all of them except Pinkie who was still being Pinkie Pie had their eyes open as far as they would allow them to be, what they had seen on the video had truly been a horror and they all stared at Pinkie hoping that they would never have to come across what they just saw.
“Ok lets continue on” Applejack said nervously “yes and lets not have any mire delays” replied Rarity “meep” was all Fluttershy could say and Rainbow could only stare. So they continued on walking in silence all of them recovering as pinkie bounced along beside them happily.
After they were able to recover they reached my door knocked and went in.

I closed my eyes annoyed at the sound of hooves can’t they just let me sleep? But my thoughts were interrupted when the door opened. I looked at the mares before me I didn’t know much about them apart from the fact that they were twilights friends.
Applejack worked and lived on sweet apple acres, Rarity who worked at a boutique making fine clothing, Pinkie Pie party lover worked at sugarcube corner, Fluttershy lived on the outskirts of Ponyville attending to woodland creatures, and Rainbow who managed cleared the sky above Ponyville.
I looked at the now Rarity was looking at me with her left eye twitching for some reason looking at me, Pinkie was bouncing up and down still having a huge smile on her face, and the rest of the girls were looking at me with slight smiles on their faces.
“So, what brings you girls here?” I asked “were here to see you silly” Pinkie said teleporting next to me “ya sugarcube we came to see how you were doing and what were going to do now” Apple jack said trotting over to the right side of me.
“OH for goodness sake I can’t take it anymore” Rarity exclaimed as she levitated a brush out of her saddle bag. “You seriously need to take better care of you mane” she said and despite my protest I couldn’t really do anything since my legs were strapped down as she began to furiously brush my mane and tail which had a serious case of bed mane.
“There much better” she said as she put the brush away satisfied that my mane was now nicely brushed and looked well kept.
I gave her an annoyed glance and the asked “What do you mean what you are going to do now”. “Well we can’t just ignore what you did even if we didn’t know you that well we still would help you and you need it so that’s why we are here” Fluttershy said walking to the foot of my bed. “Ya whether you want it or not” rainbow said hovering above me.
“I don’t need friends or help I’m fine on my own” I said with a huff. “I strongly disagree” a both strong and soothing voice said I looked to see who had said it and was surprise to see Princess Celestia standing at the door.
“It has been 2 years since I last saw you Ed” Princess Celestia said walking slowly, I shrank back into my bed as I saw her enter.

A few minutes before… “Are you going to go see him twilight” Princess Celestia asked her as they stood outside the hospital. “I’m not sure, I’m not sure if I can face him. I mean I know that it wasn’t entirely my fault but I still can’t forgive myself for doing that to him I mean he has had such a sad past I didn’t read much from his journal but it told me all I needed to know” Twilight responded looking at the ground.
“Yes it I know somewhat of what he has been through it has been about 2 years since I last saw him” Twilight looked up at her mentor “wait you knew him to?” Twilight asked “yes I took him in as his teacher, kind of like you and me but he kept himself distant only really ever opening up to me and a few years back but after a few years he left without warning, I’m was surprised to find out that he was living here”.
Twilight nodded “but wait how did you meet him in the first place” she asked “well if you must know it was…” ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(just to not confuse anypony this is still going to be written in Ed’s point of view even though Celestia is telling the tail.)
My stomach growled as I sat reading my most prized possession, it was all I had left, I was a large leather bound book on advanced magic and I had taken it upon myself to read the entire thing and learn every single spell in it, and so far I wasn’t doing too bad.
My stomach growled once again as I looked down at it, it had been quite a while since I last ate and I needed food. So I hid the book in the side of the alley way and protected it with illusions and enchant ments.
I took a moment to admire my work as I examined the concealments. Nopony would be able to find it unless they were looking for it, tore the building down that it was hidden in the side of, or was very advanced at magic.
Trotting off I use a spell to hide the mess that my mane and coat were as I went out of the alley. I also used it to make my saddle bag which was my only other possession less of a used look and made it look high class of a sort. Now looking perfectly normal except I wasn’t dressed in anything fancy I was able to somewhat blend in with Canterlot’s crowds. I spotted a market stall owner who was busy talking to a few people there for not watching his stall that well.
I slowly began to make my way toward the market stall in a zigzagging fashion. When I finally arrived I didn’t stop but instead I continued walking as I began to cast a spell. Not noticed by the busy shop keeper one if the apple bags began to fade and become somewhat see through making it less and less noticeable.
The bag lifted off of the table still begin somewhat visible but not that noticeable made its way along keeping close to the ground as it began to make its way towards me. I walked up next to a wall keeping one side facing the wall so that nopony could see the bag of apples slowly slip in.
I gave a sigh of relief when my spell was done, I could make stuff disappear and be invisible but doing it under the sun where it was quite bright was another thing and then making a moving object invisible is also on a completely different level. It was less like of being seen but it still made me nervous and it also drained my magic reserves.
I began to walk away glad that I now had something that could keep me alive “STOP THEIF” I glanced over my shoulder to see 3 guards heading straight for me. Not good.
The crowed parted as the chase began and I cast a spell that sort of made a rear view mirror for me as I ran galloped down the street as the 3 guards gave chase before they split one following me and the other going right and another going left once again not good.
It was very hard for me to move through the crowd a I had to push my way through on many occasions the guards however had people gladly moving out of their way to let him past. I continued to run taking turns trying to lose him with no luck. That’s when they came back.
The 2 guards that I had seen run off before jumped out of the alley ways on both sides in front effectively trapping me. But with a quick puff of smoke I sent off a image of myself in one direction from inside the barrier and was able to fool them as the jumped at it.
Not losing a second I ran off in a different direction but as soon as they passed through the illusion of me they were able to quickly identify me and continue the chase. After a few minutes more and more guards began to show up as they slowly cut off my roots it didn’t take long before I was completely surrounded.
Tired and hungry I panted in the middle of the large circle they had formed around as I my horn began to light up one last attempt to escape. The highest ranking guard there stepped forward “stop there is no way out of this, you’re only going to make it worse for yourself” he said.
“On my own yes but I have a little friend you see I think you should meet him" I said as I casted 3 spells at once. A giant, fully grown dragon then dropped behind the group of soldiers shaking the ground as it landed and with a roar all of the soldiers froze looking at the dragon.
It worked. My greatest achievement yet I was able to cast an illusion spell that had created a fully grown dragon, A spell that shook the earth and was able to create the sound of the roar. I smiled as I began to make my escape.
A bright beam of light shot out and hit the dragon illusion and for a moment nothing happened but then the image of the dragon shattered and tiny flakes which faded before they hit the ground. I stared at the sigh before me before I was suddenly pinned to the ground.
But not by the guards I was lifted up surrounded by a golden light as I was floated off all of them watching as I was carried away. When I finally stopped I was brought down a high class chamber certainly not what I had expected. “Now what to do with you” I froze and turned around to see stand before me in full splender princes Celestia.
author's note: I feel so terrible. after going away and promising you mor chapters when I return I end up slacking off and even though I had one ready I kept putting off posting it. :( please forgive me. anyways along to the reading! and if you notice any mistakes feel free to tell me. “Now what am I going to do with you” princess Celestia said as she towered over me. I still was only around 15 and I still hadn’t really begun to grow so even though she was still larger than anypony else my height didn’t help at all. But despite my head screaming at me to try to find somewhere to hide, I was able to restrain myself and put on a fake mask.
“And what do you mean oh so great one” I struggled to say trying desperately to hide the fear that welled up in me. She looked down at me “you come into Canterlot you steal from my ponies and stir up my guards the conjure up an image of a dragon, that cannot go unpunished” she said her voice hitting a dead low.
I wanted to fall down and plead for mercy, but something held me up maybe it was the last bit of strength and the fact so much bad had happened I couldn’t stand to let anything else go wrong. “What is even worse is you don’t even seem the least bit regretful and it’s not like you even needed those apples” she said opening up my saddle bag and presented to offending bag with her magic.
She stopped pausing after her magic had brushed up against my bag, her eye’s narrowed send fear raging even more fears through me. “AAAHHHH” I yelled as she pinned me to the ground and sent a bolt of magic coursing through me, and once the magic was gone I stayed motionless as I could feel the layers of spells that had allowed me to walk around Canterlot without getting avoided of stare’s or being forced out of places. Celestia stared down at me with the ever present truth about how bad I looked shooting out for her to see.
My mangy tangled and dirt covered hair came back into view along with my coat which covered in dirt that would make a noble man cry. My resolve broke I didn’t bother to pick myself up off the ground as my last bit of dignity slid away as my spells revealed the truth. I laid there as tears began to stream down my cheeks looking up at the alicorn as she stared back with a much more gentile gaze before.
“Why? Why, with so much magic. Do you live so low? What happened to you?” she said her voice all most motherly like. “I… could never tell you” I managed to crack out “That I fine, Because if you don’t need to tell me” she said as she began to move her glowing horn down towards me head.
My eyes widened as I realized what she was going to do “no” I said weakly. I tried to get up but she once again pinned me down with her magic, my hooves failed about trying to stop what was going to happen but then they to were pinned up against my body. “NO” I yelled as horn horn touch my fore head as memories flowed through the alicorns mind.
The room was dead quite. Celestia had collapsed onto her rump as she sat there quietly. It was a few minutes before she broke the silence “well let’s get you clean up as she levitated me into the air and into the wash room.
The next moments could have been considered the most embarrassing moments of my life but really I didn’t care. Like a new born foal unable to take care of himself I was hoof washed by one of the most powerful ponies in Equestria whose power was only possibly matched by Princess Luna. She didn’t care that normally this would be invading someponies privacy as she scrubbed every inch of me.
Words could not express how good it felt to finally be clean as I was towel dried in the air hovering above the tub. She carried me now on her back my legs hanging limply around her side as she walked to her bed setting me down with magic I looked at her my eyes speaking endless gratitude. Her horn glowed once more sending me peacefully off to sleep and for once I so long, I slept soundly not tortured by nightmares.

When I awoke I was no longer in Princess Celestia’s chambers instead I was in some other room. I got up from the bed and examined my surroundings the bed had two pillows on it as well as a large blanket beside it were two night stands, the rest of the room there was a dresser, a bathroom, and window which was covered by a drawn back curtain leaving the room a little dark but some light illuminated it from a unknown source.
Looking around I walked to the door and opened it peeking my head out only to find myself face to face with one of the palace gaurds, putting a hoof on the door to prevent me from opening it any further he said “by order of the Princess you are to stay in this room until she comes to get you” I nodded and closed the door. So after opening the curtains I went and sat down in one of the chairs that were by the side until the princess comes to get me, what does that mean? Having nothing else to do I sat and began thinking about the situation that I face.
I had stolen from the market place sent guards on a chase summoned up a fake dragon and when it came time for my punishment I had still yet to receive there was none. Instead I as hoof wash by the princess! I was surprised to say the least but I was infinitely glad that I was finally clean I looked back down at my coat which shined in the light. After what had happened so far I was interested and also worried of what was to come.
As it turned out I didn’t have to wait that long the guards had sent word that I was awake and I was soon once again face to face with the princess. With a gulp I bowed slowly before being told to rise, “Edward from what I have seen in your memories, you have suffered greatly much more than anyone pony should have to go through and I will keep that in mind when I punish you.” I grimaced when she said that. She continued “and as for your ability for magic, it seems you have quiet the skill that dragon was a very convincing illusion but It seems that your talent is mainly focused upon illusions but judging from what you needed to do to survive that’s not surprising. That is why I would like to take you on a student.”
With that my jaw hit the floor. This was not what I had expected becoming a student to the princess was a once and a life time opportunity and I had not expected to be asked after what I had done. “So what do you think?” think princess asked with a slight smile on her face quickly recovering from the shock I nodded “it would be an honor”. The princess nodded “well then that’s wonderful that you accept, as for your punishment I believe that that all of the books in our wonderful library could use re-shelving, once you have finished doing that I will start teaching you”.
I hung my head low, I had to re-shelf every book. That was not going to be a pretty task considering how many books there were, but I supposed it was better than being banished. “*sigh* when do I begin”?
Flash back ended
“So that is how I came to know Ed.” Princess Celestia said looking down at her student. “ok but why would he leave? I mean it seemed like he was happy” Princess Celestia sighed. “well I personally believe it was because of a girl he had met you see about 3 year after he became my student he began to have feeling for a mare that worked in a town and after about another year he finally managed to muster up the courage to ask her out and she agreed.” She paused “but on the day before their date she was killed in an accident, and Ed was devastated he wasn’t eating or coming out of his room and after three days of giving him time to himself I walked down to his room to try to comfort him but, all of his stuff was gone and Ed was nowhere to be found”.
The regal princess looked down he face filled with remorse “I was a fool, I knew that he had been through much and having lost someone when he had finally managed tell them how he felt, but I just thought he needed time to get over it. I never expected him to leave, I was distraught and I ordered guards to start searching for him but it seemed he was already out of canterlot. I made a mistake and he had to pay for it, a pony was hurting and I stood idly by and watched it and by the time I went to help him it was too late. I was such an idiot.”
Twilight could only stare at her teacher with disbelief “Princess Celestia your not an idiot you the most caring and understanding pony I know! Everypony makes mistakes you can expect yourself to be perfect”. Celestia looked back at her beloved student with caring eyes “yes, I just wanted you to realize that as well so why don’t we go visit our friend” Celestia said. Twilight nodded in response and the two walked into the hospital and headed towards Ed’s room leaving a wake of surprised doctors from seeing the princes in their wake.
Princess Celestia was the first to the door and pushed it open revealing the 5 mares standing/hovering around the stallion. “I don’t need any friends or help I’m fine on my own” he said looking at the mares not noticing the princess until she said “I strongly disagree” she could she him shrink back when he noticed her standing there before him.
“It has been two years since I last saw you Ed” Princesses Celestia said as the others recovered from the surprise of the Princess coming I without warning. “As I was saying despite what you may believe you need the help of those around you. You’re just having trouble seeing it from everything you have been through.” Twilight joined the group alongside Ed having come in “The Princesses is right Ed were all here for you now all you need to do is accept our help” Twilight said with a slight smile.
Ed looked down at his feet unable to look at the mare who was talking to him “And so as a reaction to your actions and all that has happened I hereby as princesses decree that these six mares along with anyone else who is willing to help. Teach you about the magic of friendship.” The princesses finished and everyone walked to the door, “so when you get out of the hospital you will have a new life, but for now get some rest. You deserve it.” With that everybody left and closed the door leaving a very confused Stallion lying in his bed.
A tear fell out of his left eye. Does this mean she doesn’t hate me?
