On a boring night Princess Luna decides to delve even deeper into her sister's book "Sunset's possible returns". What other crazy scenarios did Celestia come up with?

If you haven't, read the prequel first. Otherwise this one won't make much sense.

Luna, Boredom and a Prologue

View Online

It had been an exciting day in Canterlot for Luna. After many years her sister Celestia has finally been reunited with Sunset Shimmer, her former student. But despite all the good news about Sunset’s development Celestia had been very nervous, what led to a few interesting secrets accidently being spilled, when Luna tried to calm her down. Like a book filled with potential scenarios for Sunset’s return. Each one weirder than the one before. Luckily the reunion was a happy one, without any involvement of poison, weapons or catching devices. After that they spent the remaining day making up for lost time with Twilight playing the role of the awkward third wheel and Luna happily watching from afar.

So why was this night so boring? Luna sat alone in the throne room doing literally nothing. She actually expected to have at least something to do considering her sister skipped day court. But no, the universe loved being ironic too much. Celestia and Sunset were probably still doing their funny teacher/student-activities, like stargazing or cooking or target shooting. Also for some odd reason everypony in Equestria seemed to have a good night, and no nightmares means no work for Luna. Not even guards were currently present in the throne room. Twilight demanded all of them to assist in her investigation of a mysterious fire in the library. This also left getting a book from there out of question. She had already read all neighponese mangas of this month anyways.

And while the Princess of the Night waited for literally anything to happen, she suddenly got an idea. One she might regret in the near future. There was one book she could read, which also just happened to be very close to her. Luna looked around the throne room. She lit up her horn and used her magic to open a hidden drawer at the side of the throne. A book slowly levitated out of it and stopped before her face. Luna looked around the throne room again. Luckily nothing has changed in the last sixteen seconds.

The Princess of the Night stared at the cover questioning the morality of what she was about to do. “Sunset’s possible returns” by Princess Celestia. It still looked exactly like on this morning. A leather bound book displaying a picture of Sunset stepping out of the mirror. Someone might confuse it for an actual novel.

She already got a chance to look through it a few hours before, but that was under her sister’s watch. Luna couldn’t know how Celestia would react to her secretly reading it. She also wasn’t sure about how this book could affect her own mental health. The alicorn thought about this difficult dilemma for at least ten more seconds before boredom decided to creep up again.

“Eh, what Celestia doesn’t know.”

With that Luna opened the book at a random page and started reading.

Scenario LZ-AB#2:

Sunset stepped out of the mirror wearing a big, green hat.

Celestia wanted to welcome her former student, but the unicorn just trotted up to her without saying a single word. She then pulled out a bottle and swung it at Celestia, who suddenly found herself inside of it. Sunset closed the bottle and held it up into the air.

You put Princess Celestia into a bottle. It's a tight fit, and she complains all the time. Maybe she’ll heal you, when you release her.

“Alright, I’m already regretting this. But no turning back now.” And she continued reading.

Pokémon, Pants and a Llama

Scenario PM-AC#1:

Sunset came out of the mirror wearing a smug grin on her face.

“Yes, yes. ‘Oh, Sunset, I’m so glad you’re back.’ Let’s just skip that part and go to the important stuff. You see, I went into this unknown world and had to work up to the top completely by myself. I travelled the whole country alone and defeated every enemy on my way. In the end I became the first champion of the Alola-region without any friends or such. Just me and my Pokémon.”

She pulled out six red and white balls, which she threw into the air. The balls opened and released beams of energy, which solidified into six creatures. A red and black tiger with a burning belt, a white fox with nine tails, a rocky brown wolf, a toucan with a long beak, a blue dragon with red wings and a purple cat with a red gem on its forehead.

“So, what do you say, Celestia, now that I have disproven all your friendship-talk?” Sunset asked smugly.

Celestia couldn’t help but laugh. “Silly Sunset. What are you talking about? What I see is a nice collection of friends on your side.”

Sunset stood there with a stupefied expression before she replied. “W-What? No! I trapped these innocent creatures in tiny balls, trained them as my slaves and forced them to fight their own.” The creatures looked confused at this comment.

“No. You found friends that are willing to travel with you everywhere and love you enough to even fight for you.” To this the creatures replied with happy noises.

It took Sunset some time until she fully realized what Celestia said. “Y-You know what? I’ll just go now. Important champ stuff.” After that she turned around and walked back through the mirror followed by most of her pokémon. Except the white fox, who seemed to like the palace.

Sunset came back through the mirror. “Come on, Weiss!”

“D’aww. You even gave her a nickname.”

Sunset started to blush. “S-Shut up. It’s just a reference!” She proceeded by jumping through the mirror again.

“You and the others, please take care of Sunset, alright Weiss.” Celestia said to the fox.

“Ninetails!” Weiss answered with a smile and then hopped through the mirror.

“I could beat her team easily.” Luna announced smugly.

Scenario SS-RP#2:

Celestia saw a yellow unicorn wearing blue, ripped pants leaving the mirror and collapsing on the floor.

“Ponyfeathers! It’s Sunset!” She ran to the mare and lifted her up. “Why?! Why?! Why?!”

Come closer…” Sunset managed to say in a hoarse whisper. “I need… I need…

Celestia held Sunset closer while tears welled up in her eyes. “What do you need?”

A tailor... because I ripped my pants.” Sunset started to laugh. Celestia took on a serious face, let Sunset drop on the floor and walked away.

“Worth it.” Sunset said from the floor.

Luna looked confused. “I don’t get it.”

Scenario KL-LP#53:

Sunset came out of the mirror looking like she was regretting something.

“I’m sorry, Celestia. I really regret my actions. Can you forgive me? I even brought you some spinach puffs from the other world.”

“Don’t worry, Sunset. I will always forgive you. And these spinach puffs do look tasty.” Celestia reassured her student.

While Celestia tasted and visibly enjoyed the spinach puffs, Sunset chuckled inwardly. Suddenly an explosion of purple smoke enveloped the eating princess.

Now Sunset was laughing out loud. “Mwahahaha. You really fell for the old poisened-food-trick. Now nopony can stop me from taking over the throne, you dumb… llama?!”

At Celestia’s place was now standing a llama. An angry llama. An angry llama which still somehow had all-powerful magic. An angry llama which still somehow had all-powerful magic and looked ready to use it.

“Hehe, but you liked the spinach puffs, right?”

*****

On the other side of the portal was a huge, purple room. A table filled with lab-equipment stood in one corner and a shelf filled with potions in another. The rest was empty. A muscular man was standing in the middle of the room currently being in the middle of cleaning the room.

Suddenly a red-haired woman with a burning backside shot out of the portal, landing face-first on the floor and sliding over it until stopping right before the man.

“Wrong… potion… Kronk…” She managed to say through the floor.

“Did she at least like the spinach puffs?”

“... Yes, yes she did.”

Luna couldn’t help but laugh at the mental image of her sister as a llama.

Scenario DW-DE#8:

Sunset stepped out of the mirror.

“Sunset, you have returned.” Celestia said surprised.

“Yes, and I want to apologize. I was rude and mean towards you and everyone else. I learned from my mistakes and–” Suddenly a mechanical eyestalk pierced the skin on her forehead. “EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!”

Before Celestia could react several robotic creatures, which kinda resembled pepper shakers on first sight, teleported into the throne room and started to shout the same words while shooting at everything that did or didn’t move.

Celestia decided to do the only logical thing in this situation. She jumped and hid behind the closest sofa.

“Please, these things don’t sound threatening at all. They probably can’t even climb stairs.” Luna criticized.

Scenario ML-AH#3:

Celestia expected Sunset Shimmer to come through the mirror, but the pony before her only seemed to resemble her in basic shape. She had the same cutie-mark, but her fur was dark red, her hair stood upright and seemed to glow like flames and she carried large, leathery wings on her back. All in all she looked like a demon in pony shape.

The alicorn nearly didn’t dare to ask. “Sunset, is that you?”

“Oh yes, Celestia, it’s me. Someone just gave me the power to finally claim what is rightfully mine.”

As if on cue and invisible to others a pink-glowing outline of a butterfly appeared before Sunset’s eyes. She also heard a male voice in her head, which despite being telepathic managed to sound angry.

“And HOW is this supposed to help me get the Miraculous? Maybe I gave you too much freedom.” The voice threatened her.

“Don’t worry, Hawkmoth. Once I’ve settled this I’ll have even more power and use it for whatever you want. These two wannabe heroes won’t stand a chance against me.” She reassured the voice.

“Sorry for the delay.” She addressed Celestia again while she rose into the air and her forehooves started to burn. “Now I’ll show you what la Démoné is capable of.”

“My sister has truly miraculous ideas.”

Thieves, Doppelgangers and a Lemon

Scenario RH-SF#6:

In the middle of the night Sunset suddenly stepped out of the mirror. Following her were a few shady-looking ponies, who tumbled around as if they were ponies for the first time in their lives. Of course this created some noise.

“Pssst! Silence!” Sunset growled in a low voice. “Do you want to blow–”

“Hello? Is somepony ther– Sunset? Is that you? You finally returned!”

Sunset and her group, at least the ones who could stand properly, immediately froze, while Celestia walked up to them.

“I can’t believe you came back. It has been so long. And are these ponies your friends? I always knew you would eventually find some. Come on, introduce us!”

Luckily Sunset has the ability to adapt quickly. “Oh… Ehhh… Yes! Yes, they are. I made friends in this other world and I wanted to show them, where I came from. H-How about me introducing you over tea and a piece of your special cake?”

“Oh, what a great idea! You wait here and I’ll quickly bake the cake for you!” With that the princess ran into the direction of the kitchen.

Sunset waited until she was sure Celestia couldn’t hear her. “Alright. Quick. You take everything of value and throw it through the mirror. And you follow me to the treasure chamber.”

“And what about the cake?” Asked one of the ponies.

“Shut up, Johnny. And you really don’t want to taste her cake. Why do you think she has so many cooks?”

Some time later Celestia returned with her super-tasty, but sadly underappreciated, cake to find Sunset and the other ponies gone. As well as the decorations of the throne room. And the contents of the treasure chamber.

“Does this mean Tia’s cooking has not improved? What have you done for the last thousand years?” Luna wondered out loud. “And why am I most concerned about cake?”

Scenario RH-AD#8:

Sunset stumbled out of the mirror. She looked completely disheveled and dirty. And she also smelled exactly like she looked. It also seemed like her mind was anywhere but here.

“Sunset, what happened to you?” Celestia asked with motherly concern.

“Ohhh… N-Nothing… Celly. We just had an awesome *hick* party and all those drinks and I was like ‘heeey, wonder what *hick* Celelestia is doing’.” Sunset said while slowly failing to keep her balance.

“Sunset, are you drunk?” Celestia asked even more concerned.

“Well, I don’t feel sober… This could explain why everything smelled like alcohol. Hehe.”

Centuries of experience made Celestia very patient and calm under nearly every circumstance. This wasn’t one of them. “Young mare! You’ll go up to your room and go to bed right now! And then you’ll sleep until you can think straight again! And tomorrow we will have a much needed talk about the meaning of ‘responsible drinking’!”

“Al-right, alright. Jeez. *hick* Now I remember why I ran away.” Sunset started to walk to her room. To her credit, she nearly reached the halfway point before falling asleep on the carpet.

“Eeyup, that’s one of the things that can make Tia really angry.” Luna commented. “Who am I talking to?”

Scenario CC-MS#2:

A yellow unicorn mare walked carefully out of the mirror. She had red-yellow hair and a sun as cutie mark. She looked around the throne room trying to take in as much of it as possible.

“What is this place? It looks so… lively and colorful.” The mare voiced her thoughts. Suddenly she heard someone entering the huge room behind her.

Princess Celestia stared at the surprising visitor for a few moments. “Sunset? Is that you?”

She started to run towards the unicorn, but stopped immediately when she noticed the mare shrinking back like a scared little filly. When the princess got close she heard her muttering something in a shaky voice. “P-P-P-Please, d-don’t p-p-punish m-me, e-e-empress. I-I-I’m s-sorry for r-running away.”

Celestia was surprised to see a pony that looked like a mirror-image of Sunset acting like the full opposite of her. “I don’t know, what you are talking a about. But know this, little pony, nopony here wants to punish or hurt you in any way. How about you calm down and introduce yourself to me first?” She said in a motherly tone.

The unicorn seemed to calm down at Celestia’s voice and opened up. “M-My name is Sunset Shimmer and I’m the personal student of Empress Celestia, a powerful alicorn, who tries to take over the world. Studying under her was very hard and she always pushed me over my limits so I could become a strong alicorn as fast as possible. But one day… I just couldn’t take it anymore. I questioned my ruler and she got angry and I ran away in fear. It showed an image of me enjoying a calm and peaceful life, so I just went through it without thinking. What will happen to me now? Do I have to go back?”

Celestia couldn’t help but smirk when she realized the irony of the situation. “Don’t worry, Sunset. I’m pretty sure you’ll like it here.”

“Oh no, please no more doppelgangers.” Luna said in a clearly annoyed tone. “I’d prefer to never meet transdimensional counterparts ever again.”

Scenario JR-BN#6:

Sunset stepped out of the mirror. She looked around the throne room for a few moments while a surprised Celestia watched her.

“Nope.” Sunset turned around and walked through the mirror.

Meanwhile a confused Celestia just stood there. “What?”

Meanwhile a confused Luna just sat there. “What?”

Scenario EG-LZ#1:

A pegasus mare stepped out of the mirror connecting Equestria to the human world. Her fur was a shade of pink, while her wild and unkempt mane consisted of different shades of green. Her cutie mark looked like firework in the shape of lemon slices. She listened to music over her dark pink headphones with her eyes closed while bobbing her head in the rhythm of a rock song and seeming to be completely oblivious to the new world around her or her sudden change in physiology.

Celestia watched the unexpected visitor walking around aimlessly until she bumped accidentally into her. The mare finally opened her eyes and took off her headphones, whose obnoxiously loud rock music could now be heard in the whole room.

“Oh, sorry, ehh, do ya maybe know where the toilet is?” She asked without any apparent shock or surprise.

Celestia pointed with her hoof to the closest bathroom.

“Thanx. Man, your school looks much bigger on the inside.” The mare walked into the bathroom. A few minutes later she came out and walked back through the mirror.

“I really hope she washed her hooves.”

Meanwhile a confused Luna just sat there. “Again, what?”

Tales, Presents and a Hearth's Warming Eve

View Online

Scenario CS-CC#24:

Twas the night of Hearth's Warming Eve. Celestia spent the late hours still doing work in the throne room. Work usually helped to distract her. In this case from realizing that she was spending this holiday of families and friends alone. Again.

It didn’t help much.

Just when she was about to call it a day, she noticed something happening with the portal. And then a familiar mare walked out of it.

“Sunset? Is that you?” Celestia said while tears welled up in her eyes.

“Princess!” Sunset shouted joyfully and ran up to the alicorn with tears in her eyes to embrace her in a tight hug. “I’m so sorry for everything I did, princess. I was dumb and selfish. Can you forgive me?”

“Of course, my little Sunset. But if I may ask, what caused your change of heart?”

“You probably won’t believe me, but I met three ghosts of Hearth’s Warming and they showed me past, present and future, so I could learn from my mistakes. Sounds silly, I know.”

“If you say that you saw them, I’ll believe you.”

The two then celebrated the holidays together and lived happily ever after.

“I would actually like to put on the cloak again.” Luna thought for a moment. “I think the last one was Snowfall Frost.”

Scenario CS-WB#26:

Again Celestia was celebrating Hearth's Warming Eve alone. She stood before the mirror, staring at the portal Sunset had disappeared in.

Then the princess suddenly got an idea. She summoned a scroll alongside feather and ink, wrote something in it and threw it through the mirror.

After a few minutes a yellow unicorn ran out of the mirror and hugged Celestia’s forelegs.

“Princess Celestia, I’m so glad to see you again. Of course I will celebrate the holidays with you. I’ll go ahead and already prepare everything, alright?” Sunset said in an overly-sweet voice.

After Sunset went a guard that saw everything approached Celestia. “If I may ask, what did you write into that letter?”

“I promised Sunset her own throne if she makes it here before six.” Celestia answered smiling.

“Of course she would get her own throne. If I don’t get my own soon, I will start eating nachos while sitting here again.” Luna said grumpily.

Scenario CS-SP#25:

Celestia saw a present coming out of the mirror portal on Hearth's Warming Eve. She carefully eyed the mysterious package from all sides. And yes, it looked like an ordinary present.

When Celestia got closer the present suddenly started to move. She tried to back away, but it was too late. The present opened and something jumped out and… hugged Celestia. When she looked down she realized that this something was actually a yellow unicorn mare.

“Happy Hearth's Warming, Princess Celestia! I missed you so much.” The unicorn said.

“Oh Sunset, you made me the best Hearth's Warming-present ever.” Celestia responded while nuzzling Sunset.

Luna d’awwed.

Scenario CS-WU#23:

Celestia heard some strange sounds behind her. When she turned around she saw a mysterious present sitting before the portal. She approached the package despite being sure that it moved a bit.

The alicorn read the little card hanging on it. “For Princess Celestia. Now she’s your problem again.” She read out loud.

Confused Celestia opened the present and was surprised by what she found in it. Her former student, Sunset Shimmer, sat in it. But probably not voluntary, as she was bound in wrapping paper from head to hoof and visibly struggling to get out of it. She even had a little bow on her horn.

Celestia couldn’t stop chuckling. “Do you need help. Seems like you are a bit short-bound.”

Sunset only glared at her and managed a low grumble.

Luna visibly winced at the end.

Scenario CS-NN#31:

Sunset stepped out of the mirror. She wore a red full-body spymare-suit with a metallic belt with a heart on it.

“Happy Nightmare Night, Princess Celestia!” Sunset shouted happily.

“Ehh… It’s Hearth’s Warming Eve, Sunset.” Celestia cleared up.

“Buck!” Sunset turned around and disappeared through the mirror again.

“What’s wrong with my favourite holiday?” Luna asked herself confused.

Dragon Lords, Dragon Cards and a Dragon Maid

View Online

Scenario SB-TC#8:

Sunset walked out of the portal. With her magic she was carrying a large, bulky machine vaguely resembling a black dragon head. While Celestia was trying to figure out the strange machine, its front ‘maw’ started to glow orange, only to release a few seconds later a black, straight shot at the surprised princess. The shot pierced Celestia, who started to glow in a golden light.

Moments later a big statue was standing in her place. It showed a greyed-out Celestia in a battle-ready stance on a golden stand.

Sunset took her time to look at the statue from all sides. She then decided to touch the statue at its stand. The whole statue got enveloped in a golden light again and after a few moments the normal Celestia was lying on the floor again.

Clearly exhausted from her transformation Celestia slowly lifted her head. “S-Sunset, what happened?”

“I used this cannon to transform you into a trophy.”

“Ooookay, and why did you turn me back?”

“Oh, I enjoyed it so much, I wanted to do it again.”, Sunset answered with a grin.

Celestia didn’t notice the cannon charging up again and before she could react, she got hit again. And again a Celestia-trophy was standing in the middle of the room.

“Surely someone would pay a lot of money for a life size trophy of Celestia.”, Luna was guessing.

Scenario KD-TM#5:

The mirror activated and two ponies came out of it. Celestia immediately recognized one of them as Sunset, who wore a pretty self conscious grin. But the princess didn’t know the other pony. She was a green earth-pony with blonde hair (with red tips) done in pigtails and had a look of genuine curiosity and excitement on her face. But the most outstanding features were the horns on her head, her draconic tail and the maid outfit she was wearing.

She was also the first one to speak up. “Wooow, Sunset-san, this is the place you grew up in?”

“Yes, Tohru, it is. And the white alicorn over there is the princess I told you about. You know, the one who treated me so badly.”, Sunset answered.

Tohru’s expression turned serious in an instant and she started growling at Celestia.

The princess, however, was unfazed by this. “And if you still stick to these childish ideas, then you can also continue your punishment and go back to your room.”

At this the mysterious pony got angry. “No one… punishes… Sunset-san…”. She magically turned into a huge, green dragon and roared at Celestia loud enough to shake the castle.

But the princess was still unimpressed. “If you want you can spend the time with her in her room.”

The dragon changed from angry to happy again. “Really?”, she replied in a girly, unfitting-for-a-dragon voice.

Tohru turned back into a pony. “Did you hear that, Sunset-san? We can spend the whole day together! Come on!” She took Sunset’s hoof and pulled her deeper into the castle without much effort.

“W-Wait, that’s not how it was supposed to go!”

Celestia couldn’t help but chuckle slightly.

Luna was laughing, too.

Scenario WH-HW#24:

Sunset stepped out of the mirror. In her magical glow she was holding several wrapped presents.

“Happy Hearth’s Warming, Princess Celestia!”, Sunset said happily.

“Ehhh...It’s Hearts-and-Hooves day.”, Celestia cleared up.

“Ponyfeathers!”, Sunset turned around went through the mirror again with all presents.

“Does she have a problem with holidays?”, Luna wondered.

Scenario CE-GF#122:

It was a dark day for Canterlot and its pony inhabitants. Without any prior indications hordes of dragons started attacking the capital city and the castle. Celestia and the royal guards were busy defending the innocent.

After (easily) fending off a group led by a red teen-dragon, Celestia decided to take matters into her own hooves. Most dragons weren’t smart enough for such a coordinated attack, so someone was leading them. And dragons were always following the strongest. So she flew up to the one dragon, that was nearly the height of her castle.

“What’s going on here, Torch? I made the peace contract extra easy to understand. Why are you attacking all of a sudden?”, Celestia basically shouted at the dragon.

“Sorry, Celestia, but everydragon now follows the new dragonlord and she decided to attack.” The former dragonlord pointed with his claws at the top of his head, where surprisingly enough and easily missable a unicorn was sitting. Said unicorn had a yellow coat and red hair with yellow strands and was holding a blue staff with a red stone on its top.

Celestia was shocked by this revelation. “Sunset Shimmer?!”

“I told you, Celestia, that I could be a princess. Becoming dragonlord was pretty easy. They never said magic teleportation isn’t allowed during the gauntlet of fire. And soon I will rule over both, ponies and dragons.”, the new dragonlord Sunset proudly announced.

Of course Celestia would never yield and so she charged into an epic battle of historical proportions.

To be continued

Note: Probably won’t be continued, because it’s obvious who’d win.

“I hope Celestia isn’t overestimating herself, because if any dragon would see this… Although now, that I’m back, we wouldn’t have much trouble with them.”

Scenario YG-BW#96:

A unicorn with yellow coat as well as yellow hair with red strands came through the mirror. Attached to her left foreleg was a mechanical, blade-like device with a deck of cards inserted into the middle.

“Princess, I’m going to show you now, what I’ve learned in this other world.” Sunset pulled out a card from the deck, smirked while looking at it and placed it on the device, which started to light up.

“I’m summoning my ‘Blue-Eyes White Dragon’!”

Before Sunset a huge dragon with a light blue body and blue eyes appeared out of nowhere.

“Attack her directly with your electric breath.”

Energy collected in the dragon’s maw and before Celestia could react, the dragon shot a huge beam at her. As a reflex Celestia shielded her eyes with one hoof and waited for the inevitable attack.

She waited and waited, but nothing happened. The princess slowly opened her eyes. She saw the dragon. She saw its breath. She saw Sunset, who wore a look of clear disappointment.

“It’s just…” –Celestia waved her hoof to try to touch or feel something– “... a hologram?”

“B-But in the anime they always looked so in pain when something hit them. D-Does this mean anime… isn’t real?”

“A-Anime isn’t real?!”

Counterparts, Voyagers and a Cake

View Online

Scenario MC-BC#41:

The mirror-portal activated and Sunset entered the throne-room through it. But she wasn’t alone. With her came a big, white alicorn wearing a flowing mane in the colors of half of the rainbow and golden regalia. If she didn’t know it better, Princess Celestia would think this is Princess Celestia.

“Ehm… Sunset, who is the pony with you?”, Celestia asked the obvious question.

“Don’t worry, princess.”, Sunset began. “The mirror leads into an alternate universe and there I met my new teacher. ‘Old’ Celestia meet ‘better’ Celestia. Yes, she is your doppelgänger from the alternate universe. But–”, Sunset levitated a stick to her side to point at ‘better’ Celestia. “–as you may already have noticed, her coat is four shades whiter, her horn is two inches longer, her wings are 0,0496% stronger and if you look closely, you can see a fifth color in her mane. She also knows exactly what I want and need. So, say ‘Hello’, Celestia.”

“Hello, Celestia!”, said the other Celestia.

Sunset looked around for a moment. “Well, actually bragging was everything I came for. And we still have much to do, so say ‘Goodbye’, Celestia.” Sunset then walked back through the portal.

“Goodbye, Celestia!” The other Celestia waved to her and then followed Sunset.

After a few moments of silence the princess finally responded. “I’m sure my coat is whiter.”

“Tia might have some self-esteem issues.”

Scenario DD-DD#3:

Sunset came through the mirror accompanied by… another Celestia.

“Celestia, I wanted to apologize to you.” Sunset looked up to the other Celestia, who just nodded to her to continue. “My actions were dumb and I didn’t listen to you. The other Celestia taught me my mistakes in the other world. And I’m really bad at this stuff here, too, as I don’t know what to say anymore… So, can you forgive me, please?”

“Of course, my little student.” Celestia nuzzled Sunset affectionately.

After a minute of nuzzling Celestia turned to her counterpart. “I should thank you, too, for helping my student.” She held out her hoof.

“The joy is on my side.” The other Celestia proceeded to shake her hoof.

Though the moment the two Celestia’s touched they got obliterated without leaving any trace.

“Huh… So that’s what happens when you touch yourself from another universe…”

“Interesting theory, if we wouldn’t have already proven it wrong…

“They...They did touch, right?”

Scenario AA-FP#2:

Sunset Shimmer came through the mirror.

“Hello Celestia. How have you been?”, she asked nonchalantly.

“Ehh… I’m fine… thanks for the question. But why are you back? And why are you so casual about it? Especially considering what happened between us…”

“Oh yeah, that… Don’t worry I’m over it. I’ve learned much in the other world. I’m visiting an academy full of heroes and other people with superpowers. We’re regularly fighting villains there… Actually we’re fighting one right now and that’s why I’m here. I have to spend like 4 hours in the portal and I’ll be rewarded with sunstones, which we can use to fight these evil giants, which will then drop iron ore, which I can use to go on level 1 skycycle-missions, which will give me arrows for level 2 skycycle-missions, that reward me with helmets for level 3 missions, from which I can get backscratchers for the level 4 missions, which drop traps, that give me the chance to fight the boss, who upon defeat drops pterodactyls, chest hair and space herbs to recruit a new hero and level him up. This in turn allows us to get more money from the mission board to… Oh… Someone used crystals to speed things up. I’ll probably be back soon. See ya!”

And Sunset ran back through the mirror. Meanwhile Celestia continued to look completely lost. “Uhh… What?”

“Who in their right mind would subject themselves to such a torture?”

Scenario CC-ST#17:

Celestia sat in her throne with piece of cake held in her telekinetic grasp.

“Mmmhh… Chocolate… My favourite…”

When she was about to take her first bite, she got disrupted by a guard, who called the princess for help in an urgent problem. Reluctantly she placed the plate with the cake on her throne. It won’t run away, she thought.

When Celestia was gone, suddenly a hidden door opened behind the throne and a fiery-maned unicorn stepped out of the hidden corridor.

“So? Where does this one lead to… WAIT!” Sunset tensed up, looked frantically around and then released a breath. “Phew… She isn’t here. Celestia would be mad, if she found out I’m living in the secret tunnels of the castle. Better go back before she sees me”

The unicorn turned around and walked back, closing the door. Then she opened the door again and levitated the cake to her and closed it again. As if on cue Celestia came back in this moment.

“Not sure if a handful of broken spears are so urgent, but at least I don’t have to deal with it later and can now completely focus on my… my… MY CAKE! WHERE IS IT?!”

Behind the hidden door Sunset was enjoying the cake as well as the sounds of Celestia frantically searching/destroying the throne room.

“How many hidden tunnels are in this castle?” Slightly frustrated Luna stomped a hoof on the ground. This activated a hidden trapdoor before the throne. “Uhh… I should keep that one in mind."

Scenario SS-CR#7:

Celestia sat in her throne doing nothing special. Suddenly out of nowhere a portal opened in the middle of the throne room. Out of it fell Twilight and Sunset.

“Ouch, Sunset. We really have to work on our landing. Anyways, where are we? It looks like Canterlot Castle. Are we finally home?”, asked the Twilight.

Celestia approached the two ponies. “Twilight, is that you? Didn’t you just went home? And is that unicorn with you… Sunset Shimmer?”

“I don’t think this is our universe.”, Sunset spoke up. “And I’m really not in the mood to deal with that problem, too. Even if it isn’t our Celestia.”

Twilight was quick to apologize. “I’m really sorry for the trouble, princess. The short explanation is, that we two are from an alternate universe and are using a device called the TBT–”

“The Talisman.”

“–to travel between the worlds. Again, we’re sorry for the interruption. It’d be best, if you just forget what happened.”

Twilight pressed a button on the strange device and a new portal opened up. Not wanting to mess up this world more with her presence she quickly stepped through it.

When Sunset was about to step into the portal, she turned to Celestia. “Don’t worry. If your Sunset is anything like me, she probably regrets her actions and will return someday.”

With these final words she walked through the portal, which closed shortly after. Celestia couldn’t help but smile.

“Who can come up with such crazy ideas?”, Luna wondered.

Scenario GM-SP#1:

Sunset Shimmer came through the mirror. But she wasn’t alone. Floating behind her were three sea-ponies in yellow, purple and blue.

Sunset was the first to speak up. “Celestia, I have to apologize. During my time in the other world I learned much about myself and others and realized, that you were right and I was wrong. You might recognize these sea-ponies as the sirens. They had been banished to the other world by Starswirl the Bearded and caused chaos and mischief there. I helped to not only defeat, but also to redeem them.”

Celestia just stood there completely stunned.

“Yeah, that might be a bit much at once. But while you try to compose yourself, we can show you, what we prepared just you.

“So girls, as we trained… 3… 2… 1…

Shoo-Bi-Doo Shoo Shoo-Bi-Doo

Luna skipped the rest of the page.

“No! No! No! Never! No! No! No! Not again! No! No! No! No! Please no! No! Celestia, why! No! No!... It’s in my head!”

Scenario ME-TA#8:

In the middle of a boring night Luna was sitting in the throne while secretly reading through Celestia’s book ‘Sunset’s Possible Returns’. After recovering from the little tantrum caused by the last scenario, she was about to start the next one, when she unexpectedly got a visitor: A yellow unicorn, who returned only a few hours ago to make amends with her teacher. Luna quickly used her magic to hide the book at a safe place: Behind her back.

“Hey, Princess Luna, how are you?”, came the genuine question from Sunset.

“Oh, uhh… I’m alright. B-But what are you doing here? Didn’t you want to spend time with my sister?”, was Luna’s shaky reply.

“Yeah, I was just going for a quick midnight snack and then I had the idea to look, what you’re doing and what are you so obviously hiding behind your back?”

“N-Nothing! I-I was just–”, then Luna noticed the book was already gone and Sunset was reading through it. “Oh… Uhh… So…”

“Don’t worry, Luna, I’m not angry at you.”, Sunset said in a menacing tone. “But I need to talk to Celestia.”

While Sunset walked away the edges of the book started smoking.

Luna thought about her situation for a few moments. “I think Twilight wanted to learn something about dream magic.”, she said out loud before jumping out of the closest window.

“Huh… W-What? Huh?”, Luna looked around the room. “Is there something Celestia hasn’t planned?”

Scenario RI-MM#2:

Sunset came out of the mirror running and stopped right before Celestia in her throne and kneeled down, while holding a small box in her magic.

“Princess Celestia,–”, Sunset opened the small box revealing a diamond ring inside of it. “–will you marry me?”

“No!”

“Alright… So I won’t become a princess this way either?”

“No!”

Pouting Sunset went back.

“Becoming a princess through marriage… what a crazy idea.”, Luna mused.

Scenario MR-WC#34:

Celestia sat down on her throne mentally preparing for the emotionally draining job of–

PFFFFFHHHHT!

Distracted from her thoughts a blush quickly appeared on Celestia’s face. She jumped out of the throne and levitated up the pillow revealing a whoopee cushion under it.

“Hahahahah!”

Celestia followed the laughter to its origin behind the throne and found Sunset Shimmer cowering there.

“Gotcha!” Sunset then quickly bolted out of the room.

Luna snickered a bit herself. After that she stood up and looked under her pillow finding nothing.

Scenario IM-RR#1:

Celestia sat in her throne, enjoying a calm day and expecting nothing dangerous, when completely unexpected Sunset Shimmer appeared through the magical mirror, carrying a huge speaker in her magic.

“Prepare yourself, princess.”, Sunset threatened Celestia. “For I will finally prove, that I’m superior to you, as I have found your one and only weakness!”

Sunset activated the device and as the music got louder, realization slowly dawned upon Celestia, whose face paled.

We're no strangers to love
You know the rules and so do I
A full commitment's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy

“Oh no… Starting to feel… so weak… I thought I… destroyed all of them…”, Celestia struggled to stay upright.

“You’re probably asking where I got this from. HA! The internet never forgets.”, Sunset taunted her teacher.

Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

Celestia was already crawling on the floor. “Why, Sunset… WHY!”

“By the way, I can’t hear you!”, Sunset pointed at her stuffed ears. “But just to get sure I’ll turn up the volume.”

Never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down
Never gonna run around and desert you
Never gonna make you cry, never gonna say goodbye
Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you

“And after this one comes the dubstep remix! MUWAHAHAHAHA!”

“NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!”

“Goddammit, Tia!”, a frustrated Luna said louder than planned. “Do you have to point out every time how much you hate this song. I’m pretty sure you won’t lose your powers when hearing this...And now it’s stuck in my head, too!”

Scenario DB-LS34:

Sunset slowly stepped through the mirror. She wore an orange gi and her hair looked a bit more spiky than before. Her firm gaze was focused solely on Celestia.

“Celestia!” Sunset spoke up. “I’ve trained for the last thirty moons with the strongest warriors of that other dimension to become one of them. It was a long and hard time, but it paid off as I’m now finally strong enough to face you and prove that I’m worthy. I will not hold back and expect the same from you! So get ready to fight!

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!” With that Sunset got into fighting position. Her spiky hair turned golden and stood straight, while a golden aura formed around her.

Celestia looked conflicted about fighting her former student at first, but that turned into strong resolve. “If that is what you want, Sunset Shimmer, I will fight you!” And Celestia, too, got into fighting position, her horn glowing.

“Alright, I’m going to show you my strongest attack!” Sunset put her hooves together and then held them on her side to charge energy between them.

“KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA…”

“I’m ready, Sunset”

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA…”

“Hit me with your best shot!”

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA…”

“Any time now.”

“MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE…”

“How long will this take? I have some more plans for today.”

“EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE…”

2 episodes later…

“HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!”

Sunset struck out her forehooves to shoot a giant shockwave at the throne, obliterating it and every wall behind it. After the attack faded Sunset returned to her normal form. She stood there panting and watching the remains of the throne room.

“I… I did it… I did it! Yes! I beat Celestia! I’m better than her! Take that, perfect pony princess! Hahahahaha!”

While Sunset still celebrated her ‘victory’ Celestia walked into the throne room from the other side. A bit of toilet paper still stuck to one of her hooves. “Did I miss something?”

Sunset was more than disappointed. “W-W-What? That’s unfair! You are not allowed to move while I’m charging my energy. Now I have to do it all over again.”

Sunset’s hair turned golden again and the aura returned.

“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA…”

Celestia sighed. “Then I’ll wait until blocking your attack…”

“How could anyone stand through such long-winded battles?”

Scenario KD-TE24:

Three ponies walked through the magical mirror. Celestia immediately recognized her former student, Sunset Shimmer, the other two seemed unknown to her. One was a small filly with white fur and a white-lavender mane. The other was a mare in a maid-costume with green fur and a blonde mane. The odd part was that both had dragon-like horns and tails. Celestia also felt like one of them looked familiar.

“Oh! That’s where you lived, Sunset?” came from the filly.

“Yes, Kanna, this is Canterlot Castle, the place I grew up in. And the big, white, crowned alicorn over there is my former teacher, Princess Celestia.” Sunset pointed at the princess. She then hastily added. “Who’ll hopefully forgive me everything I said and did, when I give her a really honest apology and say ‘I’m really, really sorry’?” Sunset gave a shaky smile.

Celestia answered with a sincere smile.

Sunset looked like a huge weight fell off her shoulders. “In that case I should introduce you. Princess, these are my friends Kanna and Tohru.”

At hearing the name Celestia narrowed her eyes. She already wondered why the latter had growled like a territorial dog for the last minute. “We meet again, Tohru!”

“So you do remember me after all, Celestia!” Tohru replied.

Sunset looked puzzled. “Eh, a bit of context, please?”

“I heard that a long time ago Lady Tohru and Princess Celestia met while travelling through the worlds,” Kanna answered. “Though it didn’t end very well.”

"But Celestia is a very forgiving pony." Sunset wondered. "Why would she hold such a grudge for so long?"

“YOU ATE MY FAVOURITE CAKE, YOU FILTHY DRAGON!”

“Now I understand…”

“You are still hung up on that? I obviously did your figure a favor, stuck-up princess!”

Celestia flared her wings and her horn started gathering magic. Claws came out of Tohru’s hooves, while her teeth sharpened and a fireball grew between them. Both were prepared to start a battle to the–

“Wait, wait, wait!” Sunset interjected. “Tohru, Celestia, you two can’t just randomly start a fight where you destroy everything (and probably everypony) in the whole castle… town… continent. Either you two make up or fight at a safe location!”

Claws and fireball gone, Tohru pointed at the closest wall where only a second later a portal appeared. “Alright, I know a safe place where we can take our battle.”

“You’re right. Let’s go.” Celestia silently walked over to the portal. Asking for my forgiveness, worrying for others and a monster like Tohru listening to her… Sunset must have come a long way.

Celestia stepped onto the huge, grassy field behind the portal. “You can come now!” she shouted to the others who still were on the other side of the portal.

Then Tohru closed the portal.

“That was a dirty trick…” came Sunset’s response, unable to decide whether she should be angry or proud of the dragon maid.

“I protected the order of this world just like you wanted. It was a peaceful resolution.” Tohru answered.

Sunset sighed. “Let’s just look around this place until Celestia returns and that whole situation inadvertently repeats itself. Come on, I’ll show you my old room. Pretty sure Celestia left everything as it was.”

“Yeah!” the dragons replied in unison.

Meanwhile on the aforementioned grass field...

“One day I’ll get you, TOHRU!” Celestia shouted into the sky.

“Celestia can be pretty unforgiving when it’s about cake, huh…” Luna figured.

Scenario YY-AA36:

Celestia sighed. Sunset has been gone for so long, now. I don’t even want to imagine what kind of terrible monsters were waiting for her on the other side… “I hope you’re alright wherever you are, Sunset.” she finally spoke out loud.

“I’m right here beside, Celestia.” came suddenly from her side. Celestia turned and, to her surprise, saw Sunset standing right there.

“Sunset, you’re back! And I’m so glad to see that you’re alive and well.” Celestia embraced her student. “But where were you and since when are you back?”

“The world was nothing special. It was filled with these weird, hairless monkeys, called ‘humans’, and they all went to school normally.” Sunset explained. “There were some nice girls, one more hyperactive than the other, I spent some time with in their school club. Oh, and I’ve been back for like an hour.”

Celestia thought back to what happened in that last hour (not much). “In that case I have to apologize. I somehow just didn’t notice you. It was like you were invisible.” –Sunset’s eyes widened– “Is something wrong?”

“I just had to think of a certain girl from the school. She also had the problem that people never noticed her or completely forgot she was there. That was pretty similar to what happened just now, but that would be pretty weird and–”

Akarin~

And Sunset disappeared.

“Sunset! Where are you?” Celestia looked around frantically.

“OH MY GOD! IT’S CONTAGIOUS!” Celestia heard Sunset’s disembodied voice screaming. “I knew spending time with Akari was a bad idea. I’m a main character! I’m important! Unlike her I can’t be ignored!”

“Akari doesn’t like what you say. Why did you even invite me to come with you?” another invisible and still unnoticed girl complained with an unseen pout.

“I know exactly how being ignored feels–”

Lunarin~

And Luna disappeared, too.

“Not. Funny.” came Luna’s disembodied voice.

JJ-DM1:

On a calm afternoon Celestia sat in her throne basically doing nothing. Suddenly blonde-haired stallion jumped out of the mirror and ran up to her. Before the princess could process what was happening, he reached her and kissed her right on her muzzle. Celestia’s eyes widened, too shocked to respond in any other way. The stallion finally broke the kiss and took a few steps back.

“You were expecting your student, but it was me, Dio!” he exclaimed before jumping back through the portal again.

A few moments later Sunset Shimmer appeared through the portal. “Did he kiss you?” Celestia nodded. “DIIIIIIIIOOOOOOOO!!” Sunset shouted enraged before jumping back through the portal, too.

Celestia’s brain finally caught up and gave the only appropriate response it could think of, “That was… bizarre…”

“I certainly didn’t expect that.”

Scenario PF-MN5:

Sunset slowly walked through the mirror. She held her head high and had a smug grin on her face. In her turquoise magic she was holding a small rectangular device. Celestia decided to silently observe for the moment.

“Princess Celestia,” Sunset announced. “The time has finally come. With the Metaverse-Nav on my phone and the abilities of a Phantom Thief I will enter the palace made out of your dark desires, steal your ‘heart’ and make you realize your mistakes and change your life. Finally I will make you see how you mistreated me. Now I just need to say the right words to activate the Nav… Princess Celestia. Canterlot Castle. Prison.”

No candidates found came a voice from the device.

“Ehhm… That didn’t go as planned…” Sunset was obviously surprised. “Probably just not the right distortion. Let’s try… Celestia. Canterlot Castle. And… army drill camp.”

No candidates found

“Ehehe…” Sunset now looked desperate. “How about...Celestia. Canterlot Castle. And… research facility.”

No candidates found

“Celestia. Canterlot Castle. Cloning facility.”

No candidates found

“Sweatshop?”

No candidates found

“... Maybe just school?”

No candidates found

Sunset’s head fell in shame. “I give up. Obviously you are as perfect as everyone thinks you are.”

Celestia finally stepped up to Sunset. “I think I’ve seen enough. How about you let me try it? Ahem… Sunset Shimmer. Canterlot Castle. And… Empire.”

Result found. Beginning navigation. the device surprisingly announced.

Celestia clenched her eyes for a moment when she suddenly felt a strong headache. It disappeared as quickly as it came and when Celestia opened her eyes again the world around her had changed. It still looked like Canterlot Castle, but all the colors had been changed to various tones of red, orange and yellow. Important were also the massive banners and statues of Sunset as an alicorn-princess everywhere. Even the stained-glass windows that were usually showing heroic feats of the past were now depicting ‘heroic’ acts Sunset certainly never actually did (like beating Celestia in a magic duel). The two walked over to a normal window to look outside and, to nopony’s surprise, saw even more statues and banners as well as several citizens dressing up like Sunset.

Sunset failed at a laugh. “That doesn’t really paint me in good light, huh?”

Celestia’s only reply was an angry look.

“Alright, alright, I’ll get the others and take care of this… Dang, and I owe him money now. Yeah, I should maybe really start to become a better person…”

“Somepony seems to really have some issues…” Luna observed.

Scenario RR-JY4:

When the mirror portal suddenly reactivated one day, Celestia felt great hope and optimism that her student, Sunset Shimmer, would return to her. But she knew that there was a huge difference between optimism and recklessness, and she certainly hasn’t been princess of Equestria due to the latter. Because of that several members of the Royal Guard were waiting alongside her for something to come through.

When the portal started to show signs of activity everypony’s nerves were on edge. They got into combat-ready stances waiting for something to emerge from the mirror. Finally something came through the mirror and, despite the longer hair and the strange yellow gauntlets on her forehooves, Celestia recognized the yellow unicorn, Sunset Shimmer, right away.

“Guards! Lower your weapons! She’s not a threat!” Celestia immediately ordered.

But for one young blue-maned guard this warning came too late and he threw his spear right at Sunset. Luckily she easily avoided the spear by ducking under it.

“Oops… Sorry,” the guard tried to avoid the angry glances of his fellow soldiers.

Sunset didn’t seem to mind it, though. “Don’t worry. Much worse happened to me in the world of Rem…” Time seemed to slow down to a crawl for Sunset as her attention suddenly focused on only one thing: a single hair from her long mane falling down to the floor right before her eyes.

Suddenly a golden burning aura erupted out of Sunset. Her shining mane stood nearly upright and moved like flame in the wind. Her glowing rage-filled eyes shifted their focus to the one soldier that was responsible for this sin.

The poor guardspony gulped.

Ten minutes later Celestia was finally able to subdue the raging Sunset. All of the Royal Guard had to be sent to the infirmary heavily beaten up, and the castle maids would later report hearing explosions from the throne room. The throne room needed a renovation, anyway.

"Somepony seems to be a bit too focused on her mane."

Scenario HD-RC36:

Sunset Shimmer appeared through the mirror and walked right up to Princess Celestia.

“Celestia, I want to apologize for my actions. I now know that I wasn’t ready for what I wanted,” Sunset said.

Celestia was slightly surprised, but kept her composure and smiled at her former student. “That’s good to hear and I’m really glad for you. But if I’m allowed to ask, what happened to make you change that much?”

“Oh, you wouldn’t believe it, anyways. I learned many new things, made some interesting friends and had some unique experiences,” at that black demonic wings came out of her sides. She heard Celestia gasp. “As I said, I had some unique experiences. But don’t worry, I’m not evil or something like that.” Though she couldn’t suppress a grin.

Then they heard something else coming through the portal. They turned around to see a red stallion with a brown mane, who was looking around the throne room.

“So that’s where the president grew up?” he said.

“Issei, didn’t I tell you to wait while I reconcile with my old teacher?”

“I know, but I just couldn’t resist my curiosity and it actually looks pretty ni-” his eyes fell on Sunset, then they fell deeper between her forelegs. “W-W-What h-happened to y-you? Y-Y-You’re a p-p-pony!”

“Ehh… Yes, I am. I'm sure I already told you.”

“B-But I thought some k-kind of h-hot a-anthro-thing…” he broke down on the floor. “...b-b-breasts… g-gone… p-power… fa...ding...”

The remaining two ponies spent a few more moments watching him before Sunset picked him up in her magic and started carrying him towards the portal.

“He’s actually a pretty nice guy when you get to know him, but I’ll better bring him back before enters some kind of pervert hibernation. Maybe you can come over the next time.” She gave a last smile and walked back through the portal.

“Why are the creatures of other worlds always so focused on breasts?”

Scenario RH-ET68:

Sunset ran out of the portal and accidentally bumped into Celestia. “Oh, Celestia! I learned from my mistakes and I’m really sorry and ready to become your student again,” Sunset said hastily.

Celestia was a bit overwhelmed. “Umm… Sure, that’s good to hear. But is something wrong? You seem to be in a hurry.”

“Oh, it’s nothing. Hehe,” Sunset said nervously. “I’ll go back to my old room right away, and start learning. And if some weird uniformed ponies show up and talk about something weird, like… I dunno… spitting down from Eiffel Tower, I’ve got nothing to do with it.” She then ran deeper into the castle, while Celestia looked after her, confused.

“It can be hard to resist sometimes,” Luna looked away, slightly embarrassed.

Scenario MB-BP8:

Sunset came through the mirror. But she wasn’t the only one. After Sunset came another pony. And another. And another. And it turned into a seemingly endless stream of ponies.

“Here!” “This way!” “Just go forward!” “That’s perfectly normal!” Sunset said to random ponies.

Celestia walked up beside her. “What’s going on? And what does it have to do with all these ponies?”

“Oh, we’re just celebrating a big party here.” Sunset casually replied.

“You’re doing what?” Now Celestia noticed that most ponies were carrying either food, drinks or other party supplies. Before she could say anything more a white-coated unicorn with an electric-blue mane and magenta shades turned on the music and everypony started dancing. Even Sunset.

Celestia looked around the dancing ponies in her throne room. She then shrugged with her shoulders and started dancing as well.

“Apparently nopony can resist the power of spontaneous dance parties.”
