Golden Bells 3: The Newborn Pie
(Yet Another Hearth's Warming Special)

It was Hearth's Warming Eve morning in Ponyville and everypony was either excited or the holidays or anxious to get their last-minute holiday shopping done. The former, however, was the department Golden Flare and Pinkie Pie were in, but it's not just excitement for the holiday of Hearth's Warming, it was also because of their expectancy for their child. Pinkie has been eight months pregnant with Golden's child and they were expecting the baby to come before the holidays.
After Golden had Pinkie lay down on the couch to keep the baby and herself well rested, he began to decorate the outside of the house, despite the cold winds nipping at him; even when he lived in Dodge Junction, Golden couldn't stand the cold weather, it was just too much for him, but he chose to grin and bear it, for his wife and his soon coming child. As soon as everything was decorated, he reentered his home and joined Pinkie on the couch, stroking her mane and the belly that held his foal as he and she got cozy.
"Goldie, can't I do something to help? You know I don't like sitting still." Pinkie moaned.
"Neither do I, but you need your rest, you're pregnant and we can't risk hurting the baby before he or she is born. Plus, it'll do damage to you too, especially since you've never been pregnant before." Golden argued.
"Oh...Alright. But I'm DEFINITELY helping next time, mister!" Pinkie scolded him as she poked Golden in the nose.
He chuckled at her demand and the bop at his snout, "Okay, okay, miss boss mare."
The two snuggled closer together and enjoyed each other's warmth as the day continued on with nothing else to do but wait for the inevitable.
Several Hours Later...
Golden wakes up, finding that he and his love had fallen asleep on the couch, but what woke him up was Pinkie's heavy breathing, which soon became hyperventilating.
"Pinkie, what's wrong?!" Golden asked in a panic.
"Goldie, I..." Pinkie takes a deep breath, "I think...my water broke!"
Golden's eyes widened, he knew it would before the holidays, but he didn't think it would be this soon. "Sweet Celestia..."
Golden wasted no time gingerly picking her up and rushing out the door, wings flapping like crazy to the hospital.
"Don't worry, Pinks, we'll be there soon."
Golden flew past the Castle of Friendship, waking Twilight, Spike, and Starlight, all three of which went out and began following Golden.
"Golden, what's going on?!" Twilight yelled.
"Pinkie's about to give birth!!" Golden yelled back as he picked up the pace.
Starlight heard the news and rushed to gather the others starting with her friends, then Golden's best friend and brother, all of which had their own reactions before racing to the hospital.
"Say what?!" Applejack said.
"Eep!" Fluttershy squeaked.
"Pinkie's what?! Right now?!" Rainbow shrieked.
"My word!" Rarity gasped.
"You're kidding!" Roland shouted.
"Already?!" Lloyd yelled.
They all ran to Ponyville Hospital together, once inside they had to duck and dodge doctors and nurses until one nurse stopped them at the Emergency Room.
"I'm sorry, only family allowed right now." she said.
"I'm Golden's brother!" Lloyd protested.
"Really?" she asked and Lloyd nodded. "Alright then, but everypony else stays in the Waiting Area."
Lloyd follows the nurse into the Emergency Room while the other headed to the aforementioned Waiting Area. Three hours, that's how long they've all waited until the doctor in charge of the procedure came out to them.
Twilight came up to him, "How is she?"
The doctor smiled, "The baby is a little girl."
The ponies cheered until Twilight quieted them down, "Can we see them?"
He nodded, "Of course. Follow me please."
The doctor leads them into a room where they relocated Pinkie after the procedure, next to her was a smiling and tearful Golden and Lloyd and in her hooves was a beautiful pegasus foal wrapped in a soft blanket, she had a magenta coat, pink mane with golden yellow streaks, and deep blue eyes. The three grownups turned their attention to the newcomers.
"Look, isn't she beautiful?" Golden asked them.
"She is." Fluttershy agreed.
"She's got your eyes, Golden." Starlight commented.
"No joke." Roland added.
"What is the widdle one's name?" Rarity asked in baby talk.
Golden and Pinkie smiled at each other before smiling down at their daughter as they spoke at the same time.
"Flambé Pie."
