Spike makes a new Friend a Changeling Named Chris One day the CMC are killed and Chris gets the blame what happens when the real killer is caught but both of the changling get killed will spike be able to live on with out his friend or will he die to
Spike meets a Changeling stuck in a tree so Spike helps him out. Later that day they become friends and hang out for months after that. Till one day another changeling finds them and ends up killing the CMC and the changeling that is Spikes friend is blamed. His life and Spike life are both cut short but they and the CMC make one last appearance until years later a new Prince Of friend ship sees them and the mane six all in the field of their graves. He is handed a book by the former princess and reads it.
Today was the the day something good was going to happen thought to himself while getting stuff for twilight. He had been asked to get some plants for one of twilight lesson. He had left the castle early and was still tired so he went to sugarcube corner to get some coffee and a cream filled doughnut. He was walking to the door when he looked up and seen that the moon was still high in the sky and that there were still some stars left. He continued walking down the path to sugarcube corner and whispered to himself "Twilight make sure you can find soempony else to do your stuff" and with that he walked until he noticed pinky pie hanging out front of sugarcube corner and he decided to scare her.
Spike walked up to the door as soon as pinkie pie had opened it and walked straight to the counter and order a strawberry frosted doughnut and a small coffee and left to go back to get the plants that twilight need for her new lesson with Starlight. He did not notice that farther down the path was a changeling stuck in the tree. He was heading towards the edge of ponyville about to enter a forest and as he walked into heard a noise that was not animal like and started to heads towards it. When he came to where the noise was he noticed that it was a changeling stuck in a tree and it was looking at him with sadness in his eyes and it said "help me dear dragon do not be afraid I will not harm you I promise.
Spike was worried that it was lying and faked being stuck but he noticed it was trying to push itself out but then only struggle and started to cry and cry. So spike went behind the tree and pushed from behind and noticed that the changeling was starting to move out and then *pop* out went the changeling who flapped it wing and spike looked through the hole to see the changeling smiling and he looked over to a bush and noticed that on the ground was the plants were their that he need. So he piked them and put them into his bag and went around the tree to see the changeling still there looking at him with a smile.
The changeling looked at spike and held out its hoof. Spike was cautious when he took it but then notice that the changeling started to shake his hand and spike calmed down a little and looked at the changeling and said"my name is Spike what is yours? The changeling looked at him and said"my name is Christopher but that is to hard and to long to say so I gave myself a nickname and that kind of stuck. My nick name is Chris and nice to meet you spike. Thank you for saving my life, Hey do you want to be friends Spike?"
Spike looked at Chris and shook his head yes but told him that they had to keep it a secret from everypony and that if they were caught they would both be in trouble and with that they set up a place and time to meet and went there separate way and hung out later that day and from weeks on they had become close friends and would hang out at the secret spot from then on. Month had passed and it had begone to snow and it was also close to heartwarming eve and Spike wanted to get a present for his best friend Chris.
So later that they he asked twilight if he could go out for a while and she said yes.
There was a Spy watching Spike and Chris. It had been watching them for months things of ways how to get rid of the traiitor Chris then he had it. He seen the dragon hanging out with three young fillies and that is when he had come up with the idea to kill them and frame the traitor. He had waited and waited then he found the chance a couple of month later when it was snowing he would kill them all in the woods.
The Cutie Mark Crusaders where out shopping for their sister all but Scootaloo who was shopping for RainbowDash for Heartswarmings Eve when they met up with spike at a book store he told them "I am getting something for myself and other ponies and need to collect wood later for the fireplace like twilight", So they deiced to follow spike unknowing that he was a changeling in disguise and was going to kill them in the woods to frame it on the other changeling. The CMC were done shopping for now they each got a card and all of them got materials to make presents for there sister and Rainbow Dash too. So as Spike started to head out of town to collect the wood they followed him trotting next to him.
Spike walked towards the edge of the woods with the CMC standing next to him and he said "want to play a game a tag since we still got time" they all looked at him and nodded there heads yes.. He knew that he had to be quick with what he did So he ran into the woods leaving footprints for the CMC to follow and yelling catch me if you can. It had started to snow which had worked out for the changelings advantage for what he was gonna do next. He heard hoof stomps behind him and took out an Ax he had kept hidden and hid waiting for the young orange pony name Scootaloo to pass him by.
Scootaloo had walked past the changeling and he heard a noise from behind and then she seen a shadow of a dragon holding an Ax high above his head the next thing she know her left hoof is on the ground and blood is flowing from her now detached hoof and then she plops down onto the ground and out walks spike with a grin on his face and a now stained Ax with the blood of Scootaloo.
Scootaloo watched in horror as she spike picked up the now useless hoof and walked towards Scootaloo. Spike took the hoof with his left hand and walked over to scootaloo and shoved the hoof into her mouth and made her chocked on her own hoof a few seconds later their lay on the ground a dead Scootaloo and a blood stained snow. The changeling had started to drag the body when he heard to more ponies come toward him and he had changed himself into a bear and walked silently unto the two unsuspecting ponies and had swung his paw killing one and picked up the other and squeezed the life out of her he had cut open both of their dead bodies just to rip out there hearts and stick them in the dead ponies mouths and with that he took all three bodies and put a map in of the bodies sticking out reveling the location of the traitor and the dragons hideout. He had made sure to take a pic of the changeling and put it with the map and stuck the bodies in front of a bush and then the changeling flew back to his real job but before that he dropped the Ax of at the traitor's house and flew off.
Shortly after that Rainbow Dash,Rarity, and AppleJack went searching for the CMC and so they searched in the club house and searched all over town later that day they all started to head down the path when they noticed three small figures down the road and when they got closer they notice the bodies and something sticking out of Applebloom Stomach and Rainbow dash had pulled out a map that led to a house in the forest and then noticed that there was a picture of a changeling with an Ax that he was leaning on and next to him was the CMC Bodies.
They were furious that someone so evil had done this. So they went to go and capture the ponies after the bodies had been removed. shorty after the bodies had been taken care of they went to the killers house and noticed that the Ax was there in front and that the door was opened but nopon had been there. They wanted revenge on the pony that did this and they knew what they had to do find him. So they looked and looked but nightfall had come and it was cold out but they would try again tomorrow.
Later that day the real spike was out shopping for his friend Chris he had learned a lot about his new pal and was happy to see that he had started living in the new place where they hung out. He had picked out a hat and scary for his new friend and would give it to him later that night. After he was done shopping he went back to twilight's castle and feel asleep in his own room. He had a bed and a window.
Later hat night his friend had tapped on the window and Spike opened it up and let his friend share the bed and they both fell asleep earlier the next morning Spike heard twilight call his name in a distraught voice filled with sadness and he knew something was wrong but he did not anwser but had woken up his friend and told him to hide under the bed and don't make a noise.
Chris hid underneath the bed and heard the door open and noticed that a purple mare had walked in and started to walks towards the bed and spike said"Hi Twilight what is wrong?" and her response was "Spike somepony killed the CMC. Rainbowdash, Applejack and Rarity had discovered the bodies and apparently a changeling had done it"*Achoo the changeling had sneezed and twilight had noticed it and she had been looking at spike and asked her dear friend"What was that?". So spike tried to lie an say it was him but twilight but then two more sneeze came from underneath the bed an spike looked worried.
Twilight had asked spike what was underneath the bed but spike said nothing. Then three more sneeze came from underneath and so twilight used her magic to pick up both the bed and her dragon friend and when she seen the changeling she belived he had killed the CMC and was gonna kill Spike next so She used her magic to create a Sound Proof cage and before Chris could run he was thrown into the cage and started to scream and scream but no luck. Spike knew it was bad when twilight had done that but told her he did not do it but she did not listen only told him that it will be ok and that the changeling would pay for its crimes.
A Few weeks later there was a funeral for the CMC but spike did not go for he was too worried for his friend. He knew that his friend would be found guilty and put to death but he was worried that his friend may have killed the CMC but he knew better because his friend was good and not evil. So he sat there for weeks only coming out when needed too. Weeks had passed and Chris would have his trial and he knew that he was doomed so either way he was doomed.
Chris was heading down the hall to go towards a trial. He was trying to prove his innocence and say that he was not the one who killed the CMC but they had a map to his house a weapon and a changeling in a picture. He had at last given in and pleaded guilty. He knew either way he was going to die. He only had one regret that his friend Spike would find him guilty. As they entered the doors to the court room he noticed that ponies where looking at him with disgust and hatred.
He had passed the family and friend of the CMC and noticed that spike was next to him and he had hope that Spike would prove his innocence but as he looked at Spike he seen his own friend look worried and he knew that if he had to lie about their friendship to save himself . But Chris was not worried because at that moment he heard the Jude say may the defendant come to the stand. As he did he heard other ponies around him whisper and he started to make up lies but held some truth to them.
He had gotten done with what he had to say and next came the CMC family and friends. They told everypony what they found and other details they had seen from the bodies. Spike was the last and had lied to protect himself from death but Chris was not worried he told the judge that he was scared of the changeling for it had not hurt him he just needed a place to hide. The Judge looked at him with a confused look but did not think to much about it. After he was done the jury was going to find him guilty no matter what had happened.
He did not fear death for after they came back one of the ponies from the jury said"we find the defendant guilty " and with that he had been sentenced to death which was rare in ponyville. He had to wait three days before he would hang by the end of the noose. He had walked towards the end of ponyville three day later. He noticed that spike was on the stage and had mouthed the words"I am and will always be your friend". And as he walked up the stage to see for the last time what this sweet town had he was asked if he any last words.
He looked out into the crowd and said my only regret that I will not be able to hang out with my friend ever again and I am sorry for causing this wonderful town any problems. With those last words the pony had pulled the lever and Chris was now hanging over the open gap dead but with a smile on his face. Spike knew his friend was innocent but then they heard a shout from the sky"Wait you got the wrong one this changeling had been the one who killed the CMC not that one" and then after those words Princess Celestia said"We found this traitor among are guards and he killed the CMC. She held it up and it knew it was not going to live for much longer".
Chris Body had been removed from the rope and set on the ground and was folded up in a blanket. The traitor changeling looked at the crowd with a smile and was put to his death. Princess said to the crowd"This changeling was the traitor and the one we sentenced to death was named Chris he had been living here in the woods bothering nopony but we made a mistake and killed the wrong one. We shall bury Chris next to the CMC graves a sign of respect for his friend whoever it is and apologize to that pony who was kind to him. Later that day they had a funeral for Chris everypony had come to show respect to the good changeling and all but Spike had left he had stayed there at the grave of his now friend and took out the scarf and gloves and laid them on the grave before walking away crying.
It had been a week since what happen to Spike's friend and he had gotten depressed when people talked about it. He knew he wanted to see his friend one more time. He tried to cut himself but that just made him feel guilty about it as he did not want to trouble anypony else. He was starting too get worse a the days went by. He had loved his friend like a brother and before he knew it his friend was gone. He had cried and cried after the first day.
He was now just a husk of his formal self. He was not happy at all. He hid he scars on his wrist which was easy due to his scales as weeks had passed he got worse and twilight was starting to notice that Spike was spending time alone which was fine but he did what he was told without a word and then things took a turn for the worst when Starlight had walked in on him while he was cutting himself to check on him when she was asked but screamed at the site of blood which made Twilight come running to check on them both.
That is when she noticed that Spike was bleeding from his wrist and that he was crying for no reason. She had made sure they were both ok and asked Spike if he was ok but Spike just said"I am fine Twilight I just broke a mirror and with that she did not think much of it but was worried that he was hurt so he took him to the hospital to get banged up and they went home together later that night Spike was awake but knew it had to be done he had to see his friend again.
So Spike ran towards a window and crashed through it. Moment later he had hit the ground and he said to no one in particular"I will see them again the CMC and my friend too. We can all hang out with each other" and with that last couple of words he took his last breath and closed his eyes for good.
Moment later Twilight and Starlight woke up when the heard the crash and ran out of their beds and headed towards Spikes room. As they got there they seen that the door was open and that the window had been broken and as Twilight got closer she looked down and seen her friend spike laying in a pool of blood. There was some shards of glass on the floor but she did not care. She ran down the stairs past Starlight and opened the front door to go towards her now dead friend.
Twilight had used her magic to keep Spikes body together but was sad that she lost her friend. She did not noticed that Starlight had come an stood next to her with a blanket and a letter addressed to her. Starlight looked at spikes body and started to cry and that is when they notice that Spike was holding something and it was a glove just a single glove. As they both went back inside they wrapped up spike body and set him down in his old bed.
Later that week spike was buried next to his friend and the CMC In the meadow which was still covered in snow. There was now five graves in the meadow Sweetie bell, Scootaloo, Chris the Friendly Changeling, Spike the baby dragon. As everypony left the mane six stayed with Twilight to keep her comfort. She knew it was going to be hard but she had to leave and as they went back to Twilight's castle she noticed a new window had appeared where spikes room had been. She did not have anypony repair it an next to the window was another window to which was not there before also. Twilight would read the letter from Spike later that day.
She and her friends had run towards the windows and as they got closer there below the window was five ghost each holding a flower below the windows. They stared at them with amazement t as they seen they all look above at the windows and seen that Spikes room was no longer there but a window with a dragon and changeling standing near a house the next window they looked at was that of the CMC tree house and noticed that three fillies had been near the bottom of it. As they stood there the ghost of their friends started to walk forward and had each turned around and thrown the flowers to the window which made one more appear it was all five graves and the ghost of the children who died and each was smiling they knew that this was what was to happen and meant to be.
As each friend had got closer the first one to speak was sweetie bell and she said"don't be sad sis I will always be there in your heart love you forever" and with that she disappeared. Next was Scootaloo who walked towards Rainbow Dash and handed her a scarf that was orange and purple and on it said for the best sister ever and with that Scootaloo had disappeared and next went Applebloom who gave her older sister a hug and whispered to her "I love you sis take care of Granny and Big Mac" and with that she disappeared.
The last two ghost where that of Spike and his friend the changeling Chris and he looked at all six and said"Spike is a good friend and I forgive everypony on what happen but mistakes where made and I am not upset now because I can see my friend again" and with that He disappeared. Next was Spike who was last and told Twilight that "You have been a good Mother and thank you for raising me up until now you and everpony else was kind to me but don't cry be happy and now it is time for me to say goodbye" and with that he disappeared.
They had all started to cry as each went their separate way after hours of crying they knew that life would be hard but they would mange. Later that night Twilight had opened the letter that spike had written. Here is what it said: Dear mom you took care of me you where not just a friend you are the reason I am alive but I know my time was cut short due to recent events. I am sad to say goodbye but I must be with my friend and now with this letter I say goodbye and ask that you don't blame yourself for what I did for it was my own choice and not your fault. So I am sorry to say that I am going to have to say goodbye to you and everypony else but I want you to know that I love you. Love your Son Spike.
With that she closed the letter and started to cry and cry she did. She felt comfort for the next weeks she and her friends had cried but knew they would be upset if they did not smile. Many ponies had help them but month later they started to smile again. The CMC Tree House was moved to the Field next to the House and with that they had lived on in the memories of everypony else.
After many years the mane six had died and where buried next to the graves of the CMC and there friend, They each had their cute mark on their graves and where all together once again. One day a pony who was walking through the meadow his name was SilverSoul and heard a noise and turned around to see three ponies flying in the air they looked old and on the ground was a young looking alicorn and next to her the ponies flying through the air had landed on her left side and on her other side stood four other ponies and a dragon.
I had looked at them and got a feeling of comfort and noticed that they had seen me and I seen the Princess calling me forward so as I got closer she was holding a book out for me to take and I was worried when I looked into her eyes I was not scared but found hope and comfort. She did not say anything but got up and walked towards the sun. The other ponies got up and followed her including the dragon who stood next to her side. I had looked at them then looked at the book for one sec as I looked back up they where gone and I felt as if they where not their anymore. It was weird but then I opened the book I got from the princess and sat down and started to read the title. On the title was the words Friendship Last forever and as I looked around just for a second I had an image flash into my mind it was all the ponies they looked younger and happier there was also the changeling and the dragon and behind them had been a castle that I knew too well.
It was an empty castle now but I was not worried I could always clean it up. I was made into an alicorn thanks to Princess Celestia after many years she sent me to ponyville to go and become it new ruler and make sure everything was ok. She sent me to the castle of her old student Twilight Sparkle and it felt empty but later today I would move in but first I opened to the first page and read it and kept on reading the book.
I did not realize it was dark until I looked up I was done with the book and was crying as I was reading the last few words were "You shall do many great things as you will live longer then me maybe forever. But remember that even if your friends die that you will always have the memories of the friendship you had made with many ponies just like I did and it will last forever new Prince". With those words I cried for a couple of minutes and started to head to my new home the castle near the other side of ponyville and knew that I was going to be good and make sure friendship last forever and protect this land for as long as I live. The End
