Nightmare moon was defeated, right? That is until Sweetie belle comes across something.... very special.
A Long Time ago, The Mane 6 Defeated Nightmare Moon and the Darkness inside Princess Luna is gone. Or.... was it? Sweetie Belle comes across piece of that defeated from that night long ago. She decides to keep it. But what she doesn't know is that, the Darkness is still there, waiting for it's next host. Will history repeat it's self? Will Princess Luna help stop the Darkness that once control her?
“Ugh…… why do we have to go and find some old fabric in the old castle?” I whine as My sister, Rarity, and I trot through the Everfree Forest.
“Because Sweetie belle, I'm making a new line of dresses! Im calling it….. Antique chic!” My sister poses for a second, then back to trotting.
“So, I need to see and get bit more of the ‘Antique’ fabric to make it more fabulous! After all, it’s all about the details! Besides, I thought you wanted to come with me?” Rarity chuckled.
“Because I thought we were going to explore the forest!” I huffed.
“You and the others, rarely let Me, Applebloom, and Scootaloo go into the forest before, so, I thought that we were going to explore the forest a bit more, maybe even find something cool!” I glare at Rarity.
“Well Sweetie, That’s because, One, you’ll don’t know what Dangerous thing you’ll find in here! Plus, you were smaller and younger, I couldn’t let ANYTHING happen to you! And Second, You are older now, even though you are still small, You can use your magic to protect you! Plus you have your cutie mark now, that means you're one step closer to Marehood! Now come along now!” Rarity trots faster. I sigh and follow after her. It’s true, I was getting closer to being mare and not a filly anymore. Though not that long ago, my friends and got our cutie marks. Our talent is to help ponies figure out what their density is. It’s been little challenge, trying to find ponies with these problems, but, we push on though! But, hey, it gives us the time to do what all three separately like to do! Like, scootaloo, who likes to ride her scooter all day, and Applebloom, who likes to build and repair stuff. Then there’s Me! I love to sing to my heart's desire. I always wanted to sing in front of a crowd. Though truth be told, I’m kinda scared to sing in front of a crowd. Which is why I kinda hoped that my cutie mark would involve singing, so I could get over it and perform for ponies. But…. my destiny isn’t that…. But that doesn’t mean i'm not happy with the destiny I got!
“H-hey! Wait up!” I quickly follow after her.
We soon reach the castle and we walk inside. I look around at the old cracked walls. It’s feels like this place can crumble at any minute. We walk around for a bit and I'm already getting bored, looking at some of the same old crumbling walls.
“Oh my CELESTIA!” My sister suddenly scream, almost right into my ear. Ow. I see her run ahead looking some old torn banner.
“This is PERFECT! Oh, but it’s missing a piece of fabric! I need to find the torn piece!” Rarity proclaims. I huffed. I don’t waste more of my day in here.
“Rarity, can’t you just take it without it?” I point out.
“Well….. I could… But, let’s see if we can find the missing piece first!” she said. I sigh, yeah that figures. Wait, maybe this is my chance to explore abit….
“Maybe I could look around then, by myself that is!” I Squeed. Rarity looked at me worriedly.
“Oh, but Sweetie, this castle is full of hidden doors and traps, and trust me, I should know…..” She looks away. What is she talking about- oh wait, I remember, she told me about when Fluttershy and her went to the castle. I snicker abit. Rarity mane had gotten dirt and some twigs in it and when she came home that day, I tried to get her a ‘mane makeover.’, because well, I thought I could get my cutie mark as a mane stylist. Let’s just say that didn’t end well.
“Please? Besides, If I get into trouble, I can just use my magic!” I squeed again.
“Oh alright, but be care-”
“OK RARITY!!” I cut her off and ran down a hall.
“Just be careful!!” I hear Rarity yelling behind me. I run past halls and looking into each room. Some of the rooms had some old furniture in them and some old books I really couldn't care about. I wanna see something interesting! I then see some light coming into another room. I trot in there to see that the room is huge and not only some cracks in the walls where light is coming in, there was also some old stained glass windows. Wow, for a empty big room like this, it’s kinda pretty. Something shiny catches my eye. I trot over to it. It looks like a piece of armor. I pick it up with my magic to see it a little closer. It’s light blue with with a lighter color moon in the center.
“Wait a minute, I seen this somewhere before….” I say to myself. Thinking… Thinking…. I started to think back to Nightmare Night. It then hit me in the head.
“This is…… Part of Nightmare moon’s Armor!” I look around to see more smaller pieces around the floor. This must have been the room where Rarity and the other defeated Nightmare moon! Wow, even that was so long ago, there’s not dust or any rusting on it. I use my magic and put it in my hooves. Honestly, I don’t think I should be holding it, but this is a piece of history, not only making my sister a protector of equestria, it’s also what Princess luna turned into! As I look at it more, It’s actually kinda pretty. But still, to hold in my hooves…… It’ll be cool to take this with me! I could get some stuff and turn this into a necklace! Thought Rarity might not like me having some old Nightmare moon armor with me…. But what to do--
“Sweetie! Sweetie belle! I found the other piece!” I hear Rarity yell down a hallway. Oh no, I can’t let Rarity see me with this!! I panicking around, then I got an idea. I’ll just do what pinkie does! Put stuff in her mane! I put the Armor into my mane, and mess with it until it covered it.
“Sweetie? Sweetie Belle! Where are you?” Rarity yelled again.
“Coming Rarity!” I said then double check my mane to make it err, secure in my mane. I then trot out of the room and run into Rarity.
“There you are Sweetie! I worried There for a second that-- Umm… Sweetie belle, what is going on with your mane?” I she looks at me with a worried face.
“Oh um…. I had trip over something and uhh….. scruffed up my mane!” I squeed.
“Oh my! Well when we get home, I shall fix your mane! Anyways I found the piece! Once I sew this back together, it will fabulous! My next line shall be perfect!” She started to troted away.
“Hey, wait up!” I yell as I trot after her.
Meanwhile In Canterlot…..
“Ah, Is it that time of day already?” Luna asks as she see’s Celestia finishing lowering the sun.
“Luna you must really keep track of time you know.” Celestia joking said.
“You know that I have to sleep during the day.” Luna huffed. Celestia chuckles.
“I know sister, but now you must rise the moon so that the ponies of equestria may have sweet dreams.” Celestia trots away then looks back.
“And that includes me.” She then trots away again. Luna chuckles then.
“Goodnight dear sister.” Luna then trots to the balcony. Looking at the sky she prepares to rise the moon.
“Time to sleep my subjects.” Luna says then uses her magic to raise the moon.
“Huh?” She suddenly feels something a sudden plus, a very dark sudden plus. She feels dark magic in the air. Her vision suddenly flips to black and normal until she see’s a very familiar sinister grin. She hears laughter.
“Show yourself!” Luna is then Armed with magic and all very well alerted. Eye’s glow out of the darkness and the sounds of the laughter gets louder and louder until….
“Your Highness!” One of the Night guards snaps her out of it.
“H-huh….” Luna blinked, her vision is back to normal and all is what is was before.
“Y-Your Highness, Are you alright?” The Night Guard asks.
“Y-Yes Night Guard…. Please go back to your post, everything is fine.” Luna says. The Night Guard nods and trots off.
“...Something wrong. The vision….. I can feel it….” Luna says as she finishes raising the moon.
“Something too familiar…. I just can’t put my hoof on it….” Luna puts her hoof to the chest then looks up at her bright moon. She can feel it from the moon as well and from her own heart.
“Sweetie belle! Are you up?” I hear Rarity yell from down stairs. I open my eye’s and slowly get up from bed. “Ugh….. I am now!” I yell back. I then yawn. I had stayed up a little longer than I usually do, but somehow I manage to turn the piece of nightmare moons armor into a necklace. It took a bit of hot glue, but I did it! “Well, I made breakfast! Come down when you're ready for it!” Rarity yelled back. I yawn again then open the windows to let some sunlight and air in. Today is another pretty day always. And today, is another day to meet up with Applebloom and Scootaloo, to find and help ponies figure out their density! AND I can show them the armor I found. I quickly trot over to it and pick it up. Thought…. I shouldn't let rarity see me with this on. I look around then I quickly pick up the scarf that I had made. It’s Perfect! I quickly put on the necklace then put on my scarf. I quickly brush my mane and tail then trot down stairs. I look into the kitchen to see Rarity put breakfast on the table. Rarity then see’s me. “Ah, Good Morning Sweetie Belle! Did you have a good night sleep?” She says as she turns around and cleans the counter behind her with a rag. “Yep! And Today is another day for the CMC to go out and help!” I say as I trot in a sit down at the table. “Well, it’s certainly is beautiful day for that!” Rarity chuckles. I quickly chow down on the breakfast then get up from my seat. “Well, I better hurry then and get going!” I say as I trot away. “Ok Sweetie Belle take care then-- oh um… sweetie?” Rarity turns around and looks at me with a weird face. “Yeah?” I say. “A-Are you sure you want to go out w-with that LOVELY scarf you made? I could get you another one!” Rarity says while she looks at me with a worried weird smile. She then chuckles. “Um that’s ok Rarity, I like my scarf!” I say. “If you're sure then….ehehe.” She says still with that weird smile. As I trot away, I hear the front door open and the bell rings. Rarity and I trot over to see who it saws. “Hi Rarity, good morning!” Twilight sparkle trots on in. “Oh Twilight, darling! I didn’t know you were coming over!” Rarity trots over to her. “I thought I might as well stopped by!” Twilight says. I trot over to them. “Hi twilight!” I say. “Oh Hi Sweetie belle! Have you been practicing your magic since the last time we’ve met?” She asks. For while now, twilight has been helping using and controlling my magic, especially now that I have my cutie mark, twilight wants to see if my magic is effected or ,can effect, thanks to my mark. “Yes!” I say cheerfully and my horn glows a bit. “Well, that’s great! Anyways, Rarity.” Twilight turns to rarity. “I heard that you and Sweetie belle here, went to the castle of the two sisters, Did you find anything new interesting?” Twilight asks. “Well besides fabulous ancient works of art, there was nothing new at the castle.” Rarity points out. “Oh… ok then.” Twilight says disappointingly. I can see Twilight shuffling her wings. I think I better get out of here before twilight starts asking me. “Well, I'm off! Bye Twilight! Later Rarity!” I run out the door. “Just be careful!” I hear rarity yell behind me.
Back with Rarity and Twilight…..
“Oh, that filly, she’s always like rush off!” Rarity huffs then trots back into the kitchen to clean up. “She’s not really filly anymore, you know.” Twilight trots after her and chuckles. “eh, that’s true….. But she could at least go out with something nice! I love sweetie belle and all but I want Sweetie belle to grow up with style!” Rarity poses. Twilight chuckles. “Now Twilight…..” Rarity put everything up then looks at twilight. “What are you REALLY here for?” She asks. Rarity is no fool. She could tell when something is with any of her close friends and today she could feel it. Twilight sighs. “Well, I might as tell you…. Last night, I was visited by Princess Luna.” Twilight says. “Well, doesn’t the princess always checks in on everypony's dreams?” Rarity chuckles. “Well yes, but it wasn’t in the dream world.” Twilight points out. “Oh my…” Rarity says with a worried look. It’s rare of Luna to ever visit anypony during the waking times. “Princess Luna had some kind of vision, she doesn’t know what it exactly means yet, she asked me to check around ponyville to make sure that everything was ok. Or least if something changed.” Twilight says. “So, that’s why you asked me if there was anything new around the old castle.” Rarity says. Twilight nods. “But…. So far everything seems fine. Thought I'm a bit paranoid now.” Twilight chuckles. “Well darling if I see anything out of the blue, You’ll be the first one I’ll come to.” Rarity reassures Twilight. “Thanks Rarity, Anyways I better go and prepare Starlights next lesson. I’ll see you later!” Twilight waves Rarity goodbye and trots out of the boutique.
Now back with Sweetie belle…..
As Apple trees past me, I see CMC clubhouse ahead of me. I trot up to it and hear voices coming from it. Cool! Applebloom and Scootaloo are already inside. I trot up the stair and head inside. I see Applebloom and Scootaloo talking. “Ah, think was should look around central ponyville for cutie mark problems.” Applebloom says. “Well, I think we should look around the school yard! There’s tons of fillies and colts that don’t have cutie marks!” Scootaloo says. “Yeah, but there might be ponies around there having a hard time understanding their cutie marks!” Applebloom huffs. Scootaloo huffs. “How come we can’t split up again this time?” She asks. “Cause, We been doin’ that for the last couple times! I think it be might more fun doing it TOGETHER.” Applebloom huffs back. I think I better step in. “Um… Girls?” I say. “Well, Applebloom, I think helping our school mates is more important!” Scootaloo says angrily. “Ain’t the older ponies matter as well?” Applebloom angrily says back. “Um….. GIRLS?” I say worriedly. However my words do not reach them as they keep on arguing. I'm not really listening to arguing anymore. Now and then we have our arguments like this but….. ugh I'm starting to get annoyed.

“Um…. I really wouldn’t call it pathetic.....” I say out loud nervously.

Actually, that’s not a bad idea. Um thanks weird voice for the idea? Anyways, I trot over to the both of them. I focus really hard on my magic and I manage to separate and pick up the two of them. “What the?!” Applebloom said. “Hey!!” Scootaloo says. Then they both turn to look at me. “Oh, Hey Sweetie belle.” They both say simultaneously. I sigh. “Ok look, how we spend part of the day in the school yard, and the other in central ponyville.” I point out. Applebloom and Scootaloo look at each other. Then they awkwardly smile and chuckle. I quickly put them down. Just picking BOTH of them up just drained my magic. “Hey, Sweetie Belle, how com’ you wearin’ that scarf you made?” Applebloom asks. Finally I can show them! “Well I wanted to show you what I found yesterday at the old castle!” I say then pull off my scarf. “Taadaa!” I show them the necklace with Nightmare moons armor on it. “No way!” Scootaloo says while her wings flap. “Is that part of nightmare moons armor?! I can’t believe you found that! What a treasure!” She says. “I wouldn’t say that a treasure…” Applebloom says worriedly. “Sweetie belle, why in the world would take that? If there was still some old dark like magic still in it! I mean for love of celestia, it’s Nightmare moons armor!” “Well, Nightmare moon was defeated a long time ago! Remember the Elements of Harmony purified everything and saved luna! And besides…. If anything weird happens…. I get Twilight to look over it…” Though I'm not going to tell Applebloom and Scootaloo of the strange voice i just heared a while ago. The voice I heard must have just been in my head, after all it did help stopping the both of them tearing each others fur off. “Well, was Rarity OK with you having it?” Applebloom suspiciously looked at me. “Well….. I haven’t told her….. Yet.” I say. To be fair I was telling the truth. “And when are you going to?” Applebloom says. “Once after she… finishes her next line of clothes.” I smile awkwardly. I DO really want to tell rarity eventually. But now just doesn’t seem the time. Applebloom sighs. “Well ok then….. Alright girls let’s get ready for a day of helping ponies!” Applebloom says. “Yeah!” both scootaloo and I say. Applebloom and Scootaloo run out the door. I quickly put my scarf back on and run after them. Time to help out some ponies!
“Goodnight Sweetie!” Rarity says as I snuggle up into my bed.
“Goodnight rarity.” I say as Rarity turns off the lights. It had been a long couple of days. After our little argument at the clubhouse, we went schoolyard first, and while there weren't any ponies with cutie mark problem, we got to hang out with some of our other friends and checked in on how are they doing. We then headed out to central ponyville. We also had no luck there finding ponies with cutie mark problems. But the next day, I headed to the farm to help Applebloom with some chores. I had a little too much fun cleaning the animals. It was more fun when we pretend help the pigs get their ‘cutie mud marks’. Then the day, we helped Aquamarine understand her cutie mark a bit better, Later on, I went to see twilight for our magic lessons but she was busying doing something about princess luna. That reminds me, I haven’t seen her in awhile, maybe I’ll get to see her in my dreams tonight. Especial talk about that weird voice. I hear it now and then but it’s so weird. I mean, it’s not bad, it actually helps at times but still…. Anyways I'm tired, I yawn then snuggle up in my bed and close my eyes.
In the Dreamscape…….
Princess Luna floats down the pathway of stars as each door pasts her. She looks at each one with care and pride knowing that her ponies are safely sound asleep. However a fear still lingers at the back of her mind. Seeing that vision, Seeing THOSE eyes, it was all too familiar to her. Luna stops in her tracks. Even though time has past since then, she can’t get rid of the thought in her head.
“I…. I must not think of it. I must protect my ponies!” She tells herself that. Part of her doubts that the shadows of her past might return. But in her heart, she knows that if it does, she WILL be ready to protect her ponies. She continues forward until something catches her eye. There is a door that is covered in dark mist. Something feels off about this door, yet familiar. Luna feels like knows this pony, she just knows it. She tries to open the door to the dream but it won’t budge. Luna fires her magic at the door but it just backfires. How is this possible? Soon dark thoughts came back into luna's mind.
“I must find this pony at once!” Luna says to herself as she quickly flies off.
In Sweetie Belle’s dream…..
I look around me to see the stars above and all around me. However the usual bright space like sky was dark and gray.
“Hello?...... Princess Luna?” I call out but there is only silence. What’s going on? This place is really weird then again it is the dreamscape, anything can happen. Wait, maybe I can create something liven up this place! I concentrate really hard about bunnies around me…… but nothing happens. I sigh. This place is really boring.
~ It doesn't have to be boring my dear. ~
“Gah!” I jump. It’s that voice again! This is a bit creepy. I look around but I see nothing but greyness and stars.
“Um…… then can you change things?” I ask nervously.
~ Of course my dear, what would you like? ~
“Um….. make the room pink?” I ask.
~ Pink it is. ~
The gray room suddenly shifts into a bright pink.
“Hehe……. Now can you do it in a purple?” I ask, being a bit more relaxed.
~ Purple it shall be. ~
The room then turns Purple. I giggle, purple is my favorite color, and pink too! Mostly because those two colors are in my mane. But back about that voice…..
“So um…… Who are you exactly?” I ask.
~ Some may call me, a shadow, Some may call me, a lost soul, but for you my dear, You may call me…. ~
Suddenly a shadow appears in front of me. The Shadow pulls itself up from the ground and starts to turn into that of an alicorn. The dark shadow alicorn gets a long flowing mane almost like Princess luna’s but with colors of black, purple, dark and darker blue plus with no stars in that mane, and as well as the tail. She has purple eye’s then smoke flows into the colors of the mane. Her cutie is made out of dark stars and smaller one’s.
“You may call me….. The Night mare.” she says, even though she doesn’t have a mouth.
“Ok so…… Why are you here? And how come I heard you, like, when I was awake?” I ask. I have so many questions running through my head.
“Im am here because you called to me, Sweetie belle, I am here, to help you that others can not do.” she says. Im even more confused.
“What do you mean?” I ask. However she just stares at me. Well, this is a bit awkward.
“Tell me, Sweetie….. Are you happy with your life?” She asks. That’s a weird question.
“W-well….. Yes, Why wouldn’t I be?” I say. I mean, I Love my life, I have a great sister, great friends, and I have a great cutie mark.
“So You're happy….. Even though there are the horrible lies in your happy life?” She asks.
“W-what? What lies?” I ask nervously. Now, I REALLY don’t understand. What in the world does she mean? Suddenly things get darker, and She disappears. Then everything is black
~ You shall see my dear Sweetie Belle. ~
I open up my eye’s to see me back in my room. I yawn as I get up from my bed. I open up my blinds to let the sunshine in. Gosh, that was one weird dream. I look over at the table beside me and pick up Nightmare moon’s armor. Night mare’s words are stuck in my head. Yet…. All of this stuff started to happen after I found this armor. I think I better tell twilight about this. Or rarity. I put the necklace. Well time to face a new day. I trot out of the door.
In the waking world…..
Rarity looks up stairs. Tapping the ground with her hoof. It wasn’t like Sweetie to oversleep like this. And right now, her breakfast has gotten cold.
“Sweetie Belle! Come on down Sweetie!” Rarity yells up stairs. Yet there was no response.
“Ugh. Sweetie…. I have a very tight schedule today, I have a deadline for some new dresses…” Rarity says to herself as she trots up the stairs.
“Sweetie?” Rarity knocks on the door. Still nothing. Rarity opens the door and turn the lights on. She Looks to see Sweetie belle covered up in blankets. Rarity huffs.
“Now Sweetie, this very unlike of you, but you must get up, A young filly like you needs some sunshine!” Rarity says. Still there is no response. Rarity get worried and uses her magic to pull the blankets off of Sweetie, only something not to her liking.
“Sweetie belle?!” Rarity yells.
At Twilight’s Castle….
“Well Luna, everything's been fine here…” Twilight says as she trots with Princess Luna to the throne room. Ever since their last meeting, Twilight has been double checking around the town to make sure everything is ok.
“Are you sure, Twilight sparkle? Maybe I should look around Ponyville…” Princess Luna says. Twilight grunts as they trot into the throne room. Twilight opens up the map.
“Look, Princess Luna, I know you're worried, but everything is fine. It’s been a couple of days, and nothing has happen. I’ve even been checking the map, to make sure that maybe it’s a friendship problem or something, but there are no signs of that either!” Twilight points to the map. Luna tries to say something but Twilight interrupts.
“Again, I know you're worried, But maybe, whatever you saw, might not even happen. And if it does, you can count on my friends and I to take care of it.” Twilight puts a hoof on luna. Luna sighs.
“You may be right Twilight, for now I shall return to Canterlot.” Luna says as she trots to the door. Twilight trots with her.
“Great, Just remember everything is under control--” Twilight says but is interrupted with the door flying wide open and Rarity rushes in with something on her back
. “TWILIGHT!!!” She yells.
“R-Rarity? what’s wrong?” Twilight asks nervously, hoping just to be a fashion problem.
“T-There’s something wrong with Sweetie belle!!!” Rarity says as she turns and shows Sweetie Belle, A sleep , but covered on a dark aura, and dark smoke coming from her closed eyes. Twilight gasps as Princess Luna looks a upon with fear.
“Come on y'all!” Applejack yells behind her as she runs. Fluttershy, Rainbow dash, and Pinkie pie follows from behind her.
“So, what do you think is going on?” Rainbow asks. Just a few minutes ago Twilight used her magic to shot a a cutie mark signal at the sky from the castle, calling out to her friends.
“Ah, don't know rainbow, but ever it is, it can’t be good.” Applejack says. They get to the castle and trot inside only to see spike waiting for them.
“Twilight is upstairs, she’s with Princess luna and Rarity and…..” Spike says, sounding worried.
“And….. who? Is there another pony up there with them?” Rainbow dash asks this time. Spike sighs.
“Twilight will tell you everything, right now, I’ve got to get hold of Princess Celestia.” Spike gulps.
“If the worst happens then…… we might need a bit more help, after all, we can’t use the elements, they are back with the tree!” Spike says to himself as he walks away.
“What do you mean if the worst happens?!” Rainbow dash yells after him.
“Oh dear, what’s going on?” Fluttershy squeaks.
“Maybe it’s not that bad! Oh my gosh!! What if it’s an attack of giant cupcakes?! I knew this day would happen!!” Pinkie says, trying to lighten up the mood.
“I don’t think it’s that pinkie….” Rainbow dash says.
“Ah, don’t know what's goin’ on, but I guess we are about to find out…” Applejacks trots upstairs. The others follow her. As they walk down the hallway they see Twilight standing by a guest room door. As the they get closer, they see bright lights of magic flashing, coming from the room door.
“Twilight! What in the hey going on now?” Applejacks asks as they approach Twilight.
“Oh thank celestia, you guys got here quick! We….. we have a problem on our hooves.” Twilight says. “What kind of problem? Cause if it’s like a discord problem then--” “No rainbow, it’s a different problem.” Twilight cut Rainbow off. “Right now….. Sweetie belle is in a deep sleep and is trapped in the dreamscape.” Twilight says sadly. The rest look at twilight, with horror and confusion. “In a deep sleep? Trapped??” Applejacks says in confusion. “If Sweetie is in a deep sleep, Where’s Princess Luna?” Fluttershy squeaks. Twilight signs. “It’s best if you it see for yourself….” Twilight says as she opens the door. They all peer into the room, only to gasp in horror. Floating above the guest room bed was a ball of black magic, inside laid Sweetie belle, soundly asleep. Right beside the bed, Rarity trying to hold back some tears while right beside her, Princess Luna using her magic, trying to enter Sweetie belle’s dream.
“Princess Luna is trying the best she can to enter Sweetie belle’s dream and hopefully once she does, She might have bring us along with her.” Twilight says.
“What do ya mean, Twi?” Applejack asks.
“Whatever or whoever did this, could possible in the dreamscape with her. We will have to face to what is doing this. But…. it might not be in there with her, so we have find the pony or thing, or at least find on how all of this started....” Twilight says. She turns to Pinkie.
“Pinkie, I want you to go to Carousel Boutique and search in Sweetie belle’s room. Look for anything out of place. Here, Rarity gave me the keys.” Twilight gives the keys to Pinkie Pie.
“Pinkie is on the case!” Pinkie says then hops away. Twilight turns to Applejack and Rainbow Dash.
“Applejack and Rainbow, I want you two to talk to Applebloom and Scootaloo. Maybe they know something, they are her friends after all. But it’s best not to tell them what’s going on with Sweetie belle. We don’t want to alarm everypony in ponyville.” Twilight says. “Not sure on how we’ll be able talk around it, but we’re on it. Let’s go, Rainbow.” Applejacks says then trots away with Rainbow.
“Um…. what should I do twilight?” Fluttershy asks.
“I need you to go talk to Zecora. If Luna can’t break into Sweeties dream, then we might have to try out other things.” Twilight says.
“Ok, I'm on it. But…. what you going to do Twiight?” Fluttershy asks. Twilight sighs.
“I'm going to try and comfort Rarity, she’s not taking this too well.” Fluttershy nods and trots away. Twilight looks back into the room where Rarity is. In certain situations, Rarity would either be dramatically upset or dramatically bold. However this time, she was either. This was a side of Rarity she’s never seen before. Rarity is in complete fear and trying to keep in her other emotions in. But so wouldn’t. Coming from the dark ball was a dark unsettling feeling of fear and doom. And to Twilight, it seemed all too familiar.
In the Dreamscape……
I trot down the stairs to see Rarity sewing some dress. Is she making something new? Oh well it doesn’t matter right now.
“Um Rarity?......” I say as I trot up to her.
“Hmm? Yes Sweetie?” Rarity says, not looking in my direction and continues working. “Um I have to tell you something….” I say. “Oh well, could you tell me later Sweetie? I have to take these new line of dresses up to canterlot today.” Rarity says as she finishes the new dress and puts it in a box with others. Rarity then gets dressed herself, ready to go out. “Well, actually it’s kinda important, it’s about what I found at the old castle….” I say. However it’s doesn’t seem like rarity is listening.
“Hmm, Yes, Yes, That’s good, Bye now!” Rarity says as she trots out the door. “But…..” I say to myself. Rarity usually hugs before she leaves…. And she would definitely listen to what I had to say. It… kinda stings my heart a bit.
~ Looks like Rarity has abandon you….. ~
“What? No! Rarity would never do that! Rarity just, has a busy day ahead of her, that’s all.” I say to Night mare.
~ The what would you do when she no longer needs you? ~
“W-Well, I…. I….. T-That would never happen! Rarity will always need me!” I say, Though my I feel my heart being torn at a bit. Seriously, who asks a question like that. Stuff like that, hurts me on the inside. Well, I better go see twilight next. I sigh then trot out the door.
Meanwhile In the waking world……
Applebloom and Scootaloo wait at the CMC clubhouse, waiting for their friend, Sweetie belle. Applebloom trots back and forth.
“Where in the hay is Sweetie belle?” Applebloom breaks the silence.
“I don’t know! Maybe she’s just caught up with something, like, helping Rarity with a new dress!” Scootaloo says. Applebloom signs then opens her mouth, about to say something.
“Applebloom! Scootaloo! Are ya’ll up there? I need ya’ll to out here.” They hear Applejack calling them from outside of the clubhouse. Applebloom and Scootaloo look at each other, confused, then both head out of the clubhouse to see Applejack and Rainbow dash waiting for them.
“Rainbow dash? What’s going on?” Scootaloo asks.
“Yeah, what’s goin’ on? …… we’re not in trouble, are we?” Applebloom asks.
“No, little sis, We just came here to asks ya a couple of ah questions.” Applejack says.
“Yeah, It’s about Sweetie Belle.” Rainbow dash says. Applebloom and Scootaloo look at each other once more with a worried look.
“What about Sweetie?” Scootaloo ask.
“Yeah, Do you know where she is?” Applebloom asks as well, staring at Applejack. “W-Well yes, but uh, that doesn’t matter right now, we uh, wanted to know uh if...” Applejack stutters, Trying her best not tell her little sister and her friend what’s going on. Though she feels her sisters stare look right through her.
“Look, We just want to know if there was anything weird going on with her for the past couple of days.” Rainbow Dash cuts in, saving Applejack from blabbing the truth and her sisters stare. However it’s already too late as both Scootaloo and Applebloom start to realize what's going on.
“Is Sweetie belle ok??” Scootaloo asks worriedly. Applebloom turns to Scootaloo in a freaked out state. “Uh course she’s not! Sweet Celestia! I told her that armor was trouble!” Applebloom shouts. Applejack and Rainbow look at each other in confusion. It only takes them a couple of seconds til both, Applejack and Rainbows eye’s shrink and then back at the crusaders.
“What armor???” They ask simultaneously.
Back in the Dreamscape…..
I trot throughout Ponyville only to see that there was no pony around. Where is everypony? On a sunny day like this, I though almost everypony would be out, But I guess not. Im kinda freaked out right now. Wait a minute…. Ahead of me I see some ponies. It’s …. Applebloom and Scootaloo! Thank celestia, at least there here. It looks like they are with ….. Gabby? What’s she doing here? Is she here to deliver some mail to Rainbow dash? Well it’s great to see her again! As I trot up to them as they seem to be talking about something.
“Hey guys! What’s up?” I ask as I get to them. They stop talking, and turn to look at me. They look at each other then look at me again.
“Uhh….. Hey there Gabby! It’s nice to see you again, how are thing going?” I ask her. However she just shifts her wings and doesn’t say anything. “Umm….. is everything alright?” I finally ask. There is definitely something wrong. “Well yes but…… it’s just…..” Applebloom says. “It’s just we don’t need you anymore.” Scootaloo says, blundly. W-what…… I can feel my heart breaking.
“W-what do you mean…..?” I ask, my voice cracking up.
“Well lately you’ve become….. Dull, just plain dull. Plus you’ve been kinda a jinx with THAT thing around your neck.” Applebloom points to the Armor on me.
“B-but I'm going to see Twilight, right now! I'm going to tell her about it! Like about getting rid of it!” I say.
“After so long after you lied about having it? Do you think she’ll trust you after that? What other lies have you been telling, huh?” Scootaloo angrily says. I…. I…..
“That’s why our good friend friend Gabby here, is going to fill your place. After all she’s a lot better at doing things then you.” Applebloom says as Scootaloo nods. I look at Gabby, I was about to cry.
“Sorry Sweetie Belle, but that’s just how things are, we’ll see you later.” Gabby says as she turns around and walks away. Applebloom and Scootaloo trot behind. I just... stand there for about a minute with tears streaming down my face. How…. How could they……. I run towards twilight’s castle.
In the waking world once again…..
As Fast as she could, with Applejack running behind her, They head towards Rarity’s Boutique. They slowly down a bit as they get closer to the place.
“I can’t believe Sweetie, would do something like that! Doesn’t she KNOW not to do something like that?!” Rainbow says, a bit angry.
“Ah, don’t know what she, was thinking but we have to see it for ourselves if she really does has it.” They get to the front door and just as Applejack is about to open it, The Door opens and Pinkie pie springs forth and tackles Applejack to the ground.
“Gah!!” Applejack says in surprise.
“APPLEJACK!! You’ll never believe what I found!” Pinkie yells.
“PINKIE! First off, slow the down and did you find anything weird in Sweetie belle’s room?” Applejack says, cutting pinkie off and gets up from the ground.
“Oh! Yeah ! The only thing I found was this!” Pinkie holds up the piece of Nightmare Moons armor. Both Applejack and Rainbow Dash look at it with horror.
“We need to get to Twilight quick!” Rainbow dash says.
“G-Girls!” Applejack was just about to say something, when Fluttershy comes running up to them with a couple of er animals.
“Fluttershy, what are you doing here? I thought you were going to see Zecora!” Applejack says.
“I-I was but I saw that some of the animals in the forest, freaked out. I was able to calm them down. Once they did, they told me about something being taken from the old castle. And that the air feels just dreadful!” Fluttershy says while some of the animals cuddle to her.
“Yeah, we just found the cause of it…” Rainbow dash says as she points to the armor. Fluttershy gasps.
“Come on Y’all! We got no time to waste! We to get back!” Applejacks as she runs towards Twilight's castle. The rest follow after her.
Back in the Dreamscape……
As I get closer and closer to Twilight’s castle, more hot tears stream down my face. Why would they do this to me?! We’ve been friends for almost like forever! And they just decide that they don’t need me anymore?! I-I…. I just…...why?..... I wipe away the tear to see that I'm in front of Twilight’s castle. Twilight…. Twilight will help…..She can get rid of this thing and I-I’ll get my friends back…. I walk up the stairs and knock on the huge door. The door opens and Spike comes out.
“Oh, Hey Sweetie Belle, what are you doing here?” Spike says. “H-Hey Spike…. I-I need to see Twilight, it’s r-really important…” I say, though i'm still pretty shaken up.
“Sorry Sweetie, Twilight busy right now, and she really doesn’t want to help with some ponies problem.” Spike says bluntely.
“B-But it’s a friendship problem! And I-I need to show her this!” I point the Armor around my neck. But Spike just shrugs.
“Sorry, There’s nothing I can do. You're a grown mare, you should be able to take care of it yourself.” Spike says. I….. I can’t believe what I'm hearing. I can feel myself about to cry once again.
“Oh, I almost forgot, Rarity send this letter from canterlot, She wanted me to give this to you.” Spike says as he gives the letter to me.
“Well, Bye!” Spike goes back inside and slams the door in my face. I sniff then trot towards the boutique. Why is this happening to me? I swear I did nothing wrong! Why would everypony treat me like this… I get to the boutique and trot inside. I look at the letter. Do I really want to open it and see what rarity wrote to me? I have a bad feeling. But….. maybe it’s some good news. I sigh then open and read the letter.
Dear Sweetie,
It’s seems that my new line of dresses are going to well in canterlot, that I decided to move to canterlot! So I'm leaving the old boutique to you! Don’t worry about me, I’ll be fine. Just make sure that you have everything you need, since your going to live there from now on.

I feel my heart fully shatter into pieces. Why would she leave me like this?! Does….. She not need me anymore as well? Why….. WHY?!?....... I tear up the letter and run and into my room. I take the armor on me and throw it against a wall. I then jump into my bed. I feel more tear stream down my face. I hate it….. I hate this day…. I hate THEM! I just want to dream…. I close my eye’s for minute and open them to see that I'm back at the dark grey dream area. I look around to that there is no pony.
“Night mare?.... Where are you?...” I called out to it. “Yes my dear, I'm right here” I Turn around to she the Night mare behind me.
“I… I had the worst day in my life!! Why…. Why did everypony treat me so badly like that?! Why?!” I yell while crying.
“Because my dear, it was the simple truth, the horrible lies are now revealed.” Night mare says. “Truth?! How is that the truth?! I thought….. I thought….. That would never happen in my life….” I sniff. Night mare puts a hoof around me. “I know my dear, the truth hurts….. But It’s time for your light to shine.” Night mare says.
“W-what do you mean?...” I wipe away my tears. “I help you become a better than them, better than your friends, and better than your sister.” Night mare says as she opens up her wings. Night mare extends her hoof. “If you take my hoof, I can be apart of you. Apart that can wipe away the sadness and how the world who you really are, and that you are not to be ignored!” Night mare says. I don’t know what to do…. I want to just go away and hide myself from the rest of world, so that I won’t have to deal with any of this but……. Another part wants to get revenge and show that…… I'm more than a useless pony….. I don’t want to be ignored….. That I'm more than what my cutie mark tells me….. I raise my hoof and take Night mare hoof. I suddenly see a dark grin on her face. I…… I'm sorry everypony….. Everything then goes black.
Back at Twilight’s castle……
“Ugh!!” Princess luna grunts as she uses the last of her magic at the black magic ball. There was no signs of it breaking at all. Princess luna stumbles back a bit, trying to catch her breath.
“T-This thing……. Won’t crack!” Princess luna says.
“Please Luna, you have to break it! Y-You have to save Sweetie!” Rarity says while tears go down her face. Twilight quickly trots over to Rarity and puts a hoof on her.
“Rarity…. You have to calm down! Princess Luna is doing her best to help Sweetie but we need to stay calm!” Twilight says.
“STAY CALM?! How could I stay calm while my sister is trapped in celestia knows what that is!!” Rarity yells. Twilight, kinda hurt by Rarity words steps back abit.
“Miss Rarity, Please, Twilight is right, we must stay calm. Trust me when I say, I will get Sweetie belle out of this.” Luna says to Rarity. Suddenly the rest of the group comes on in. They have a worried look on their faces.
“Girls! Did you find anything?” Twilight trots over to them.
“Yeah, but you're not gonna like it….” Rainbow Dash says. Twilight looks at them with a worried face. Applejack sighs.
“This is what pinkie found in Sweetie’s room…..” Applejack holds up the armor. Twilight, Rarity, and Luna look with a terrified face.
“No… it can’t be….” Luna stumbles. Luna is gripped with fear. The memories of Nightmare moon flood back to her.
“B-But how did Sweetie belle get this?!” Rarity asks.
“Apparently, When You and Sweetie went to the Old castle, She found that and secretly took it. That’s what Applebloom and Scootaloo told us…” Applejack says.
“Oh Sweetie…..it’s my fault….” Rarity cries. Fluttershy puts her wing around Rarity.
“Oh Rarity, it’s not your fault, No pony saw this coming…” Fluttershy says.
“But I did! I knew I should have done something sooner!” Princess Luna says. Suddenly the black ball gets bigger and glows darkly. They all turn to see that they could no longer see Sweetie belle through it. Princess Luna quickly throws a blast of magic at it but it does nothing as it gets bigger. Suddenly cracks start to form.
“Everypony! Take cover!” Twilight yells. They all get down to the ground as the ball explodes. The room is covered in dark fog. One bye one they get up to see a dark figure standing on the bed.
“S-S-Sweetie belle?.....” Rarity slowly trots over to it then gasps.
“Ehahaha…… oh what good it is to be alive again…..”
As the smoke clears up, the rest gets up and gasp in horror to see Sweetie belle’s new look. Sweetie was now as tall as Princess Luna. Her once pure white coat was now a dark gray color. Her mane and tail was long and had the mix of dark purple, pink and grey in it, as well with little shining twinkling stars. Her cutie mark was dark with little cracks on its shield. Her eye’s were now a brighter green and sharpen, almost of that when Luna was Nightmare moon.
“Hehehehe….” ‘Sweetie’ chuckled, her voice now darkened.
“S-Sweetie Belle?......” Rarity says, scared of what has now happen to her sister. She takes a couple of steps forward to her ‘sister’.
“Rarity, Don’t!” Twilight shouts to her. Twilight quickly trots over to her, But Luna beats to her first. Luna puts a wing in front of Rarity, blocking her.
“I'm sorry miss Rarity but that isn’t your sister right now!” Luna shouts, Angrily looking at this ‘Sweetie’.
“Oh come now luna, we used to be the same pony.” ‘Sweetie’ says then chuckles.
“Though I suppose I’ll need a new name, after I'm no longer Sweetie Belle, or rather she’s no longer in control. Just call me…. Nightmare Belle.” Nightmare Belle says with a sickening grin.
“Nightmare! how dare thou take over Sweetie Belle! Tell me why nightmare!” Luna shouts in anger.
“Now, Now, Luna, know why, finish what we began!” Nightmare says.
“That was YOUR plan and not mine! And if YOUR NEW plan is to use Sweetie to get my body back then I--”
“Ha! Who said I would use this great new body to get your old one back? You had your chance luna, now it's time for a new AGE!” Nightmare cuts Luna off.
“But why, why my sister?!” Rarity shouts tears in her eye’s.
“Because dear Rarity, No pony will need her anymore, After all you said it yourself, she’s grown to be a young mare, just another mare in this big world of ours, the world doesn't need another useless mare, its needs a true Ruler, a true Queen! And I’ll make sure that she’ll-- no, WE’LL get what with ever we want. And not in the shadow of a greedy sister.” Nightmare says. At this point Rarity is crying, wanting her little sister back.
“Hey! You better give us Sweetie back or I’ll--”
“Or you’ll what? You can’t hurt me.” Rainbow says, ready to pounce, but is cut off by Nightmare.
“Oh yeah? well we’ll see about that!” Rainbow says, hovering in the air then tries to fly at Nightmare.
“Rainbow Dash!” Twilight shouts. Luna stops Rainbow dash by using her magic to pull her back. Rainbow looks back at Lna with an angry but confused look.
“Miss Rainbow, I'm afraid Nightmare is right, if we try to harm her, we’ll harm the real Sweetie Belle!” Luna explains.
“That’s right! Hehehe! Now if you’ll excuse me, I have some work to do!” Nightmare says. Before anypony to do anything Nightmare horn lights up and in a flash, has teleported somewhere else.
“Where’d she go?!” Rainbow says, ready to fly anywhere.
“I don’t know-- wait a minute! How’d she teleport?! I haven’t taught Sweetie how to teleport at all yet!” Twilight says, freaking out, then looks at Luna.
“Nightmare’s magic and knowledge must have combined with Sweetie magic and knowledge!” Luna says.
“AHHH!!!” Suddenly they hear a scream coming from somewhere in the castle. Twilight recognizes that scream anywhere.
“Spike?!” Twilight says. She runs out the room and into the hallway. The others quickly follow behind her.
“TWILIGHT!!” They hear Spike scream somewhere in the castle again Twilight quickly a quick minute to listen to where he is.
“Everypony hang on!” Twilight says as her horn lights up. With a swirl of magic and a flash, The ponies are now in the library of the castle. The ponies turn to see spike trapped in a magical bubble.
“Spike!” Twilight runs to spike.
“I hope you don’t mind, but…..” They all turn to see Nightmare Belle holding a couple of books with her magic.
“Finder Keepers, Losers Weepers~!” She sings. Princess Luna an angered quickly aims magic at Nightmare which turns a magical net. However Nightmare throws a book at it. The book gets caught in the net and falls to the ground. Nightmare chuckles. Her horn lights up once.
“N-No! S-Sweetie Belle! Please!” Fearing for the worst, Rarity pushes Luna out of the way and run towards Nightmare. Nightmare face darkens as the magic around Nightmare Belle becomes dark. Then suddenly blast of the dark magic shots right at Rarity.
“AHHHH!!” Rarity screams as she is blasted back.
“RARITY!!” They all scream. They all run up to rarity as Twilight finally gets Spike out of the bubble trap. Slowly Rarity tries to get up from the blast however she falls back down as pain spreads throughout her body. She looks up at Nightmare Belle. Nightmare turns around and horn lights up again. She closes her eyes then looks back at Rarity.
“I do not need you, as you do not need me.” Nightmare says then in a flash she disappears. Rarity disheartened looks down to the ground. Spike runs over to Rarity.
“R-Rarity! Are you ok? Are you hurt?” He asks in a soft voice.
“Physically, I'm quite alright, Spikey….” She slowly gets up. Tear streams down her face.
“I just want my little sister back….” She says in low voice.

“I really hope Sweetie is ok…..” Scootaloo as she looks out the window of the CMC clubhouse. Outside of the window, the sun is slowly going down and sky color becomes a bit darker. Meanwhile Applebloom is trotting around in circles. Scootaloo signs.
“Applebloom, you really need to calm down, I'm sure Twilight and others have the situation handled.” she says. Through the truth was that Scootaloo was freaking out on the inside.
“But what if it isn’t! Ah can’t help but to feel that way!” Applebloom says then sits down. Just as Scootaloo was about to say something, they hear a knock at the door. They look at each other then trot to the door. Applebloom opens the door to see a normal Sweetie Belle right there with a backpack.
“Hi girls! I'm soooo glad to see you guys! You have no idea what I’ve been through!” she says.
“Yeah! We were worried about ya, Mah Sis and Rainbow told us that something was wrong!” Applebloom says, even though in truth they really didn’t tell and she knew there was trouble when they asked about Sweetie Belle.
“Oh well there was a bit of trouble but it’ fine now! Anyways I was wondering if you girls could help me with something!” Sweetie says with a grin. Slowly, Applebloom gets a bit suspicious.
“With what?” She asks.
“Well, I need some help putting this back wear it belongs!” Sweetie says as she pulls out the piece of nightmare moons armor.
“Wait, you mean…. Put Nightmare moon’s armor back in the old castle?” Scootaloo asks. Sweetie nods.
“Yes! Now come on! I know a shortcut!” She says then trots away. Applebloom and Scootaloo look at each other then follow behind.

“Twilight, what are we going to do? That Nightmare is somewhere out there planin’ who knows what!” Applejack says while she, Twilight, Rainbow, and Pinkie surround a table in the library of the castle. In the corner Fluttershy is help Rarity recover from the magical bast. Princess Luna had gone back to canterlot to raise the moon and look through the dreamscape for Nightmare Belle. Meanwhile Spike tries to find out what books Nightmare had taken.
“I don’t know, Applejack. We are dealing with ,well, something new, this isn’t some random mad pony that’s been possessed, this is Rarity little sister! WE could try using the Elements of harmony, but they are back with the tree and I fear if we take them away again, it's only going cause more problems and we don’t know what kind of effect it would have on Sweetie!” Twilight says.
“What do you mean, what kind of effect? When used them on Luna, she turned back to normal!” Rainbow says.
“Yes, but that was AFTER she got hit with the Elements a second time, The first time when they hit her, it sent her straight to them MOON! And don’t forget they also put Discord in stone as well. I don’t want put that risk on Sweetie, you heard what luna said, if we try anything, it might harm the real Sweetie belle.” Twilight says with a heavy heart. The other look at each other, fear dread on their faces. Twilight sighs then looks over towards Rarity. Rarity blankly stared at a wall, no emotion, just nothing on that blank face.
“We just got to keep searching for a way. No matter what.” Twilight says as she turns back to the others. The others nod in agreement.
“Uhhhh T-Twilight! I think you might want to take a look at this!” Spike says in a scared voice. Twilight quickly trots over to Spike. The others quickly follow behind her.
“Spike, what is--” Twilight cuts herself off as she see’s glass on the floor. She looks ahead of her to see, that glass of her dangerous spells and books case was broken into.
“Nonononono!” She quickly says then looks through the books.
“Starlight’s time spell, here…… Dark curses, check…... .. Dark Legends, check……” She says. Suddenly horror creeps upon her face.
“NONONONONONONO!!!” She starts to freak out.
“Twilight! Calm down, just what in the hay’ did nightmare take?” Applejack says and puts a hoof on Twilight.
“S-she took Starswirl's old Spell book!!” She says.

Dusk comes closer and closer as the CMC make their way through the Everfree forest. Sweetie takes lead as Scootaloo and Applebloom take behind. Applebloom suspension grows with every step they take.
“Hey, Scootaloo….” Applejack quietly says to her friend beside her.
“Yeah?” Scootaloo says back.
“I think somethin’ is….. Off about Sweetie Belle.”
“What do you mean?”
“Well….. Sweetie eye’s look kinda different. They are more….. Greener and Sharper. And was it me, or did the piece of armor look kinda different? Like not the same one.” Applebloom says, looking at Sweetie Belle ahead of them.
“Well, now that you mention it….. Yeah I kinda notice too. What are gong to do about it?” Scootaloo asks.
“Well, we’re about to find out…” Applebloom says as they finally get to old castle. Sweetie stops at the front steps.
“Ah, we’re finally here! How about you girls head in first, you girls have to see some of the remodeling Rarity and the others have done.” Sweetie says with a smile.
“Yeah know Sweetie, I don’t think we should go in.” Applebloom says with a stern voice. Sweetie drops her smile.
“Why not?” She says.
“Y’ah don’t think we’ve notice how weird ya bein acting?! And how ya look kinda different?! Tell me the truth right now!” Applebloom snaps and stomps her hoof to the ground. Sweetie Belle blinks then signs “I was hoping to do this inside, but….. I guess right here is good.” Sweetie voice suddenly changed. In a sudden swirl of magic Sweetie Belle changed into her much more darker self, Nightmare belle. Applebloom ad Scootaloo gasp. Before they could say anything, They grip hold of a spell and can’t not move. Suddenly their hooves becomes stone. This stone spell slowly grows up their legs. Horror grows on their face as to what is happening.
“S-Sweetie! Stop this! Please!” Scootaloo shouts. However Nightmare only laughs.
“S-Sweetie Belle, no, WHO EVER YOU ARE! Please! Why are you doing this?!” Applebloom cries out.
