Rainbow Dash is a confident,spunky girl.She's obviously the coolest person around in her small town named Ponyville. She's just your normal awesome winged girl but what if I told you that, all that was about to change?
Rainbow Dash life basically turns upside down after her accident, after having weird dreams every night, she's worried something might occur in the future but with her trusty Wonderbolt, Soarin by her side what could go wrong? SOARINDASH!!!!
Celestia's sun rose. Its purpose was clear: wake up everybody and start the day. However, not everyone wakes up on time. You see, on this particular morning, above the town of Ponyville, there was one cloud home. A white mansion; the owner of which was still asleep. Her name was Rainbow Dash, and she was late for work. She had gone for a late night flight, and got home at midnight. When she finally awoke, it was already past nine, and she was late for work. She looked at her clock, and it took a while for the time to register in her mind. "Shoot! I was supposed to wake up early and clear clouds!" She jumped out of bed, almost hitting her head on the ceiling, but since she wasn't fully awake yet, she almost fell over. On her way out the door, she checked her calendar, which wasn't very hard as it was right next to the doorway. It was a Tuesday, and the weather schedule was supposed to be completely sunny, with no rain whatsoever. In small print next to the forecast, there was a memo stating that there would be a small experiment with compressed storm clouds. She didn't notice this, as she was too busy grumbling about how her superiors just had to make the day sunny on the one day she felt beat up. Rainbow headed downstairs, before remembering to get dressed. She flew back up to her bedroom and grabbed the first thing she found: her gala dress. She looked at it, then threw it on the floor and grabbed gym shorts and a hoodie. She flew back downstairs, grabbed a apple, and dashed outside, because if Cloudkicker found out that if she slept in she could get in big trouble. That being said, Dash wasn't a big fan of her decisions. Rainbow shot through the sky at the speed of lightning, pumping her wings hard and throwing her arms and legs around to hit every cloud she passed. She finished in ten seconds flat. There was just one cloud in the sky, only left there so that Dash had a place to sit. She surveyed the beautiful sky, squinting a little as there was no cover to block the sun. She sighed, closed her eyes, and tilted her head back to feel the breeze passing through her hair. After she had a nice nap, she headed back to get an actual breakfast. After all, an apple a day only keeps the doctor away, not hunger. Throwing open a cabinet, she started thinking out loud. "Okay, so, I guess I'll have..." She cut herself off as she realized that she didn't have any food. She checked her fridge. It was completely devoid of life, barring that old container of cheese that was filled with mold. "Huh. Where should I go? Maybe Sugarcube Corner has something good." She grabbed some bits and headed back out on a quest for food. On her way there, she saw her friends, sans Pinkie of course. They saw her, and waved her down. She casually asked what they were doing. Twilight was the one to speak up. "Oh, we were just heading to the Cakes' house to get breakfast. We saw you and wanted to know if you wanted to come. Do you?" "Oh, yeah. I was actually heading down there right now! I ran out of food; I've been so busy practicing for the Wonderbolts, I haven't had any time to go grocery shopping." She scratched her head and smiled, then landed next to Rarity. Applejack frowned. "We know. We've all seen ya. You tell us every day, an' I'm tired of it. We're not blind you know!" She exclaimed, annoyed. Rainbow took a step back. "Damn, what ticked her off?" She asked Rarity, who stood behind her, fixing a hole in a dress. "Oh, yes, about that, darling; you may want to give Applejack some space. She and Thunderlane got in a little fight, you see" she said, her voice tinged with sadness. Rainbow shut up for a while, considering the situation. "Are you sure? I'm having trouble picturing that. Thunderlane wouldn't fight, he's a nice guy 24-7! I wonder what started the argument" she asked, trailing off as she tried to imagine what could've started the whole thing. "I don't know. She simply refuses to tell!" Rarity replied, in a sad tone that clearly showed her interest in getting details, but she hardly got it out before Rainbow responded, smirking; "Heh. Not for long."
"Thank you again for this exquisite breakfast!" Rarity exclaimed, while walking home to her boutique. "No problem hon, come back anytime!" Mrs. Cake replied in her usual bright and cheery tone. The group of five (since Pinkie had joined them) had decided to stay and talk for a while, and the first topic was brought up by a overly excited Pinkie. "Heya Dashie! Have you heard anything about the Wonderbolts lately?" Pinkie asked. Rainbow contemplated the question. "Hmm... Well there are tryouts or something in, like, a month or so. Spitfire said it was for something special, but she didn't say anything else. I guess it's going to be really special, because I'm going to be there! Why do you ask, Pinkie? Oh, and can you not call me that? I'm not a kid." The hyperactive pink party pony responded with her usual enthusiasm in a loud, Rapidfire* burst of words: "Oh, it's just that I'm so superduperexcited for you! I mean, I really, REALLY want you to accomplish your goals! Getting into the Wonderbolts is your life dream!" In sharp contrast to Pinkie's loud outburst, Fluttershy's hushed tone was almost undetectable. "Oh, yes, you're a lot better at flying after all your practice, um, not that you, um, were bad before or anything." "Oh, heh, yeah. You noticed, huh? I'm totally going to beat everyone when I try out!" Dash occasionally liked to feed her already massive ego. It motivated her to push the limits and live up to her reputation. The five friends talked for a while longer, but eventually Rainbow had to leave. She had to help Scootaloo with her flying, and she couldn't skip an appointment with her number one fan. "Well girls, I gotta go. I promised Scoots I'd help her learn to fly and all that. See ya!" She stepped outside and took off. Dash looked back and could see that all her friends were waving goodbye, minus AJ who just sat there and scowled. Rainbow frowned. "God dammit. Someone's gotta knock some sense into her before I do" she huffed, before accidentally swallowing a bug that was flying by at the wrong moment. After ten minutes of waiting, Rainbow was annoyed. "Where's Scootaloo? She hasn't ever been late. I guess I should wait a little longer." Fifteen minutes later, she decided to go find Scootaloo herself. She stood up and was about to take off, but then saw a panting Scoots running towards her. "Hey squirt, where were you? You've never been this late!" Scootaloo made it to her. "No *huff* time *huff* Dash, you gotta come *huff* help *huff* Sprinklecloud she's *huff* stuck" replied a panting Scootaloo. "Stuck where?" "On a cloud!" Rainbow facepalmed. "Woah, so dangerous. What should we do Scoots? ...Oh wait, it's a cloud" an annoyed Dash snarked. "Really! No one can get her down!" "Uh, okay I guess, but aren't there other people who can fly" Dash mumbled to herself. "Hop on kid, I need you to show me where she is." Scootaloo got on Rainbow's back. Dash took flight and began to look around. "There!" Scootaloo pointed with her finger to a cloud that was drifting away. Rainbow put Scootaloo gently down, then went up to get the kid, who was playfully floating around on the cloud. She sped up, but then she noticed that a few people were working on an experiment. This experiment involved compressed lightningcloud, and Sprinlecloud was heading right for it. Dash didn't waste a second. She accelerated as fast as was possible without crushing the kid on impact and reached out to grab her. "STTOOOOOP!!!" Rainbow Dash shouted, worried that the poor child would get zapped by one of the most dangerous clouds in all of Equestria. They didn't stop. They couldn't hear her screams. The scientist were just seconds away from releasing all of the electricity from the cloud, and their security paid no attention to the child. Rainbow sped up even more, not thinking about her own safety, just the kid's. A mach cone formed around her body. Dash knew that what she was doing would allow her to do a Sonic Rainboom, a trick she had accomplished a while back when she saved Rarity. The spectral disk exploded behind her, and she left a trail of shimmering colors. Everyone gasped as a streak of blue sliced through the skies, just in time to block the lightning with her own body. The white-hot electricity struck her back and wings with a loud, explosive BOOM!!! "AAAHHHHHHHH!!!" Rainbow screamed in pain as the lightning spread through her body, causing her muscles to seize up and twitch spasmodically. Just like the rest of her body, her wings froze up, but luckily for her, their magical nature caused them to spring open, slowing her enough to start falling in front of the child. She blacked out. Sprinklecloud was confused. she leaned forwards to see better, but lost her balance and pitched forwards. She too, was falling. Rainbow was awake. She heard something. It was a surprised cry from Sprinklecloud. Dash opened her eyes to see the little girl falling directly above. She acted on instinct, reaching out above her and grabbed hold. Rainbow curled around the child, attempting to protect the kid from the fall with her own body. Dash shut her eyes, anticipating the crash and the pain to follow, when she heard another blast, this one quieter than the last. She opened her eyes, but all she saw was a navy blur, getting bigger with every passing moment. Seconds later she felt two strong arms latching on to her, and they pulled out of their dive. She exhaled in relief, but was suddenly surrounded in darkness as the last words she heard was a muffled: "Rainbow Dash.."
"Dash..." "Come on Dash wake up." “Who is that? What's going on? WHERE THE HELL AM I??” Rainbow Dash found herself in a room of darkness, black as far as she could see. She couldn't feel, only hear the worried voice of the stranger that had found her... somewhere. It echoed throughout the place, with no discernable source. A bright light appeared, and morphed into a shadowy, unrecognizable figure. "Hello?" Rainbow Dash moved her arm towards the thing. She reached out to touch it, and it instantly transformed into an hourglass, which was already a quarter empty. "Time is running out, Rainbow Dash" a mysterious and creepy voice said. “What are you ta-" She was cut off by a new voice. "BEGONE, FOUL CREATURE, AND DO NOT RETURN," The hourglass vanished as another figure suddenly formed, it looked like..a person. "It is time for you to wake up, Rainbow Dash. Be careful". "Be careful? What are you doi-AHHH!" And with that Dash vanished into thin air. Dash's eyes opened wide. Though blurry, she could see two figures above her and feel the ground beneath her. She blinked a few times to clear the blurriness from her eyes, revealing a lady with berry purple hair with a pair of eyes to match, with tears streaming down her face. She was clutching Sprinklecloud in her arms and beside her was a guy with blown back navy hair and emerald eyes that sparkled in the sun. Had she seen this guy before? He looks familiar... her thoughts were cut off when he called her name again. "Huh?" She breathed out. "What's going on?" Rainbow was beyond confused as to why she woke up with people staring at her. She tried to push herself off the ground only to feel a powerful, stabbing blast of pain throughout her wings and back. "Ahh... Ahh..." She whispered as she got onto one knee. "Woah, stay put Dash, you’re going to hurt yourself even more" the navy-haired guy wrapped his arm around her upper waist but she refused to use the help and, ignoring the pain, finally got up. "Who are you?" Rainbow looked at the guy in a dizzy way while he tried to hold her up but he didn't respond. She still couldn't see properly and was focused on the huge amount of pain in her wings. "My...wings..." She clenched her teeth, easing the pain ever so slightly, then gasped as she remembered everything that happened: She was struck by that compressed thundercloud to protect the little girl. "I know Dash, but hold on. The ambulance is here." And without another word he picked her up and placed her on the stretcher. She looked to her side to only see Sprinklecloud and her mother walking within arms length of the stretcher. "Rainbow Dash, you saved my child..." She started to cry. "Thank you so much... I don't know what I would do if... if I had lost her." She continued to bawl. Dash grabbed her hand. "There's nothing to worry about. I'm just happy Sprinkle here is safe." Dash waved at the two as they stopped walking, and the lady hugged her daughter before starting to lecture her about paying attention to her surroundings. Secure in the knowledge that the girl was safe, Dash closed her eyes and fell asleep as the medics began to examine her and attach a few wires to her body.
Later, in a hospital in Canterlot, Rainbow lay on a hospital bed with her body wrapped from the tip of her wings to her hips and everything in between. Yet she was not alone in the room. The “stranger” who had known her name and caught her before she hit the ground was with her. Rainbow Dash slowly awoke, blinking a few times before curiously examining the room. "Heh, you’re finally awake. I Thought I was gonna stay here forever!" Dash's eyes widened as she turned to see the one and only Soarin Skies sitting beside her bed. Dash's mouth hung agape as she rubbed her eyes, wondering if she was dreaming. "Oh. MYYY! GOSHHHH!!! You’re real! You’re right in front of me, right there, o my... I can't believe it!!!!" Soarin chuckled as the girl started squeeing. "Yup! That's me!" He said, smirking. "But what are you doing here? I didn't know there was going to be a show? Was there one that I was totally unaware of?” She asked. "Haha, no. Actually, me and the rest of my squad came to Ponyville to find you!" That sentence was the one that officially made Rainbow's day, and she gasped in shock. "You wanted to see me?! But why exactly..." She trailed off as a doctor walked in with Nurse Redheart. "It's good to see you’re finally awake, Rainbow Dash." The doctor said while walking towards the side of her bed. "How are you feeling? We gave you some of our stronger legal painkillers to ease the pain, but they probably won't last for long." He took his glasses off and stared at her with some worry. "I'm actually surprised to see that you’re alive, Rainbow Dash..." Dash and Soarin listened attentively. "This has never happened before. Every patient I had that was shocked by a compressed lightning cloud has either died, or could never walk or fly again. It's a miracle that you’re mostly healthy, but that you’re healing faster than normal expectations, well... Anyway, with that being said, you will be able to leave the hospital today. However, you are not allowed to use your wings until we have checked that they’re healed completely. I'll be back with a few more nurses to make some final checks, and then you will be able to leave." And the doctor left without saying another word. "Well I didn't even get to answer the question," she said, "but hey, only being in a hospital for less than a day and still getting to leave, is AWESOME!" Dash punched the air, victorious, as Soarin chuckled. "Well, actually, Dash... you've been asleep for three days." Soarin said with an amused tone. "Oh, well, tha-" She was cut off by a loud noise that was rapidly increasing in intensity, similar to an incoming fighter jet. "RAINBOW DASSHHHHH!!!!!" Pinkie came flying into the room and, after sighting Rainbow, hugged her with all her might. "Ow, OW! Pinkie, I'm still beat up, take it easy!" She said, smiling as the rest of her friends entered the room. His job done, Soarin left so that the close friends could talk. "Pinkie! Get off Rainbow, she's hurt!" shouted Twilight as she tried pulling her off of the injured pegasus but Pinkie's grip was too strong. "Nooo, I wanna hug Dashieeee!!!" She shouted. "Anyway, what's up guys?" Dash asked, wanting to know what she missed the last three days that she's been out. However, she immediately regretted her question as Fluttershy's weary smile was replaced with an extremely angry expression. She ran up in front of Dash. "WHAT'S UP?????? THAT'S ALL YOU SAY?? YOU WERE GONE FOR THREE WHOLE FREAKING DAYS AND THAT'S ALL YOU SAY?????? I THOUGHT YOU were... going to... die." Fluttershy broke down crying. Everyone turned to her. Dash started awkwardly petting her head as she was still a little creeped out by ‘Flutter Monster'. "Uh, Fluttershy, you... I'm sorry that I scared you like that.. I promise I won't do it again?" Dash scratched the back of her head struggling to comfort Fluttershy. *sniff* "It's ok Dashie.. just promise me you won't hurt yourself like that again..." Fluttershy stopped crying. "Heh, I don't know if I can promi..." she trailed off when Fluttershy started glaring at her. "Uh, I mean, of course I won't do it again" Dash corrected herself and put on a smile. The five friends ended up staying with Dash until she got her final checkup, and then she could leave. Rarity ended up fixing Dash's hair since it was 'a total disaster'. Even AJ started talking and laughing little by little, but only Dash noticed that. After Dash was checked on and officially able to leave, she and her friends left the hospital. Applejack decided it would be a good idea for everyone to come to her farm so that they could hang out some more.
"Yeah, so basically, I jumped in front of Sprinklecloud and got zapped, and then Soarin caught me before I could hit the ground. No biggie" Dash explained what had happened as she leaned back on a haystack. "Wow, Rainbow, putting yourself in front of others is a sign of great bravery and loyalty!" Twilight said, and that got a little chuckle. "I especially adored the part where your knight in shining armour came and saved you!" Rarity said with a dreamy look. Before Rainbow could argue, Pinkie jumped in front of Rarity. "It was Soarin who saved her, not Shining Armour, silly, he can't even fly!" Pinkie Pie laughed. "Pinkie, yah really need to see a doctor, you’re a complete idiot. I can't believe ya don't understand even the easiest things, it's like you've nev-" AppleJack was cut off by an indignant Rarity. "APPLEJACK! How could you say such things to Pinkie, she's your friend!?" At this point, Pinkie Pie was shedding a few tears,and her hair had completely deflated. The rest were looking at Applejack with wide eyes. AJ would never say those things to any of her friends. Something must really be bothering her about the whole Thunderlane breakup. "Hmph." AJ turned away, and left the barn leaving her friends in a state of complete shock. "Ok, that's it." Everyone turned to Dash. "Twilight can you help me up, I'm going to have a little talk with Applejack." Without a word, Twilight grabbed Rainbow in her magic, and pulled her up. Dash limped to the door which Applejack had left from. "I'm gonna give Applejack a piece of my mind" Dash muttered to herself as she limped through the doors of the barn and into the sunlight.
"APPLEJACK" Dash screamed, AJ turned her head, "stop right there, your not leaving until I get an answer"
"Dash i'm not in the mood to talk right now, I got a lot on my head, i'll apologize to Pinkie later, just leave me be." Applejack sat underneath an apple tree and picked a few blades of grass. Dash's expression softened a little as she made her way beside Applejack.
"Look AJ, I heard about the whole Thunderlane fight." Applejack visibly flinched at the name 'Thunderlane', "I know lately you haven't really been yourself so could you tell me exactly what happened I-"
"Sorry dash but thats my business, I don't want ya to know eve-" Applejack was cut off by Dash
"APPLEJACK, I am your friend, i'm not some complete idiot that wants to know every detail in your life, all i'm asking is to know what happened between you and Thunderlane..., I know it's hard to talk about but wouldn't you want someone to talk to, someone to be there for you? I know I can't push you to tell me but all I want you to know is that i'm here for you and I just want to help you." Applejack stayed silent, after taking all the things Dash had just said, slowly a tear slipped down her cheek, followed by another, and another, until finally AJ forgot about her whole tough act and let the tears stream down her face. Usually Applejack wouldn't show her emotional side to other's, this suprised Dash a little.
Dash yelped as Applejack grabbed her by the shoulders and hugged her real tightly as she continued to bawl. Dash slowly rubbed her back, trying comfort her.
*sniff*
"Do you wanna talk about it now?" Dash asked, Applejack let Dash go and nodded her head.
*sniff* "Yeah, i-i'll tell yah"Applejack wiped her face and sat back down and closed her eyes. "Thunderlane want's .... to be a ... wonderbolt." Applejack hugged her knees and cried a little more.
"Applejack, that's great! I don't understand why your sad? You earn a lot of respect while doing so, " Dash exclaimed, why doesn't Applejack want Thunderlane to tryout? I mean its the best thing a person with pegasus wings can do.
"Dash I understand that really but... that means he'll have to leave me..., he'll be so busy doing all those important things that he'll forget about me, forget about all those time we had. I'll be able to see him very rarely Dash, that's why I don't want him to be a wonderbolt... he'll find someone else who can fly and probably in trying out for the same reason" Dash's eyes widened slightly.
"Applejack?! Do you think your being reasonable?! I mean Thunderlane loves you so freaking much, trust me, I know this because every single meeting we have together with the weather team he always finds a way to bring you up" Applejack turned towards Dash, " I swear he love you more than anything and will never replace you with someone else, that's just not Thunderlane, now you're going to come with me and you're going to tell our friends what happened and then you will go and find Thunderlane and work things out, he hasn't even been outside his house at all man, he really misses you, now come on before I get stuck in all this sappy stuff" Dash spoke with confidence and assurance as AJ took it all in.
"Your right Dash... thanks for reminding me, what's really important and if I ever do somthin like that again, punch me in the face." Applejack said, with a smile.
"Gladly" Dash said with a smirk. "Ok now let's go back into the farm and tell our friends the problem and I think you owe something to Pinkie pie" Applejack nodded, the two got up from under the apple tree and headed for the farm.
The door of the farm opened slightly Pinkie's head perked up as she saw Applejack trotting towards her with her head hung low. Dash trotted back to the haystack she was sitting on and watched Applejack, as she was going to apologize to Pinkie and to the rest.
"Um, ok y'all, i'm mighty sorry for all the things i've said the past few days and for my behaviour. It wasn't right of me to take my anger out on all my friends that have cared about me for so long, but i'm especially sorry for what I said to you Pinkie and that they are not true." Pinkie looked at Applejack with a smile and completely inflated again. "Will ya forgive me?" Applejack asked.
"Of course we forgive you AJ, I don't think there will be a time where we won't" Twilight said, while standing up. Pinkie on the other hand was koala hugging Applejack.
"So darling, Are you going tell us all, what happened between you and... well 'him' " Rarity was sure that Applejack was still a little sensitive about the whole Thunderlane thing so she didn't mention his name.
"Uh, yea, you guys deserve to know what's been on my mind" Applejack took her hat off her head as she began telling the story about how Thunderlane wants to be a Wonderbolt and all. Dash already knew about this stuff so she decided to go out for a fly. Dash trotted out the farm and went in her takeoff pose, then she felt a little sting, oh right, she wasn't supposed to be flying. So she just went back in the farm, bored out of her mind.
"And that's why me and Thunderlane are right now, ya know, distant" Applejack finished as the rest (except Dash) looked at her with wide eyes
"Oh, I hope your all right, after all, it's not the easiest thing to do, I hope we didn't bother you to much." Fluttershy said, with her soft voice.
"Don't ya worry sugarcube, i'm going to see him in a bit anyway to apoligize for my behaviour. It was selfish of me to take control of his life." Applejack finished her sentence and trotted towards the door, she opened it slightly, her eyes widened a little in surprise the smiled. "Heya, Dash, would you mind helping me open this door, it's stuck" Applejack asked with a light smirk written on her face. Dash trotted over to AJ.
"Hehe, Applejack your so weak, you can't open a door, what kind of far-OH MY GOSH" Dash opened the door wide to see the Wonderbolts lead squad standing before her. Dash internally screamed as Spitfire walked up to her.
"Hey Rainbow Dash how ya feeling" Spitfire put her hand on Dash's shoulder. How could Dash forget that the lead squad was in Ponyville looking for her.
"Oh um i'm GREAT! Why do you ask?" Dash couldn't think straight, she was just so surprised to see them. Fleetfoot's head popped in front of Dash.
"Ha, well you were I don't know, HIT BY A COMPRESSED LIGHTNING CLOUD?! Why the hell do you think we asked" Fleetfoot laughed and got a hold of Dash in a head lock.
"That's enough Fleet, I think she's hurt enough" Spitfire made her way into the farm followed by Soarin and Rapidfire. Fleetfoot let Dash go and they both laughed while walking back inside the farm. Feet and Dash have been friends for a while followed by Spitfire and Soarin but she didn't know Rapidfire that well, that saying, none of them even mention him. Dash just shrugged and made her way to an empty haystack.
"Heyy, since were talking about killing," Fleet said with a sly smirk
"When were we talki-" Soarin was cut
"You put on quite a show. Saving and innocent child from being killed by an evil cloud, that's pretty awesome" Fleet said in a dramatic tone. " You didn't even shed a tear, literally nothing , if I was in your case, I would have been screaming while shedding waterfalls" Fleet laughed.
"Heh, what can I say i'm awes-" Dash was cut off when Pinkie zipped up in front of them
"HA, you wish, Dash here has never cried in her whole life, well except when she was a baby BUT other than that not even ONE SINGLE TEAR has ever escaped from her face." At this point everyone was staring with interest and it was true, Dash thinks that crying is a show of weakness, and not cool, so she refuses to every cry seems dumb but obviously not to Dash.
"Heheh" Dash scratched the back of her neck with a light blushes covering her cheeks. Spitfire walked up to Dash and put a hand on her shoulder.
"As I usually say Dash, your full of surprise's. Anyway, i'm sure Soarin told about why were here. Right?" Dash nodded in response.
"Good, and i'm sure you heard about the 'special' tryouts that are taking place in a month or so. Well, one of the reason's this is going to be 'special', is because there were about 25 people who were chosen to be advanced recruits, now I think you know were i'm getting to." Spitfire looked towards Dash with a smirk, as the rainbow haired girl started bouncing in place with a huge smile placed on her face.
"You Rainbow Dash have been chosen to be an advanced recruit, you and the rest of the advanced recruits will be taught by one of our squad captains, you will be evaluated after every week, now the thing about advanced recruits is that you will have higher expectations than the normal recruits and after a month of training there will be people who stay within compound and there will be people who will have to leave, but as advanced reserves" Spitfire walked towards Fleetfoot and took something.
"This is a one way train ticket to our compound," Spitfire handed it to Dash "Hope to see you there" Spitfire finished her whole explanation and walked back to her 'spot'. This was completely new to Dash, the was the first year they ever had a 'advanced recruit squad', "guess some people are just to awesome to be in some normal squad." Dash thought to herself.
*GASP*
Everyone looked at Pinkie pie, who looked like she was about to explode. "WE SHOULD HAVE A WELCOME PARTY FOR THE WONDRBOLTS" Pinkie screamed. The Wonderbolts looked at each other and nodded.
"That wouldn't be a bad idea" Soarin said, with a smile as the others nodded in agreement
"GREAT, I'LL GO GET OTHERS AND START THE DECORATION, BE HERE BY 8:30 pm SHARP IF NOT, EARLIER!" Pinkie screamed in excitement, then dashed out of the farm.
"It's like 8:00 pm right now how the hell is she going to get a party started and invite others?" Rapidfire questioned, Dash smirked while looking towards him.
"I'm going to guess you haven't met Pinkie pie before." Dash said, to Rapidfire. "You just wait, you won't believe it till ya see it."
The Wonderbolts and the group of friends all decided to meet back here at the farm (where the party will occur) at 8:25 so that they won't disappoint Pinkie pie. The Wonderbolts went back to the hotel they were staying at, to get changed out of their uniform's and the rest of the group of friends went to Rarity's boutique, for she wanted to get dressed (as usually) for the party, the rest were fine with what they were wearing.
"I have a feeling this is going to be one of the best parties Pinkie's going to host especially because the Wonderbolts are here!" Dash thought to herself as she trotted with her friends to Rarity's boutique.
"Oh please Rainbow Dash, you cannot simply just wear your 'sporty clothes' in a party dedicated to the Wonderbolts, you must wear something more sutable. OH! How about this one darling its simply beautiful. Rarity's eyes sparkled as she held up a dress with a lot of sparkles and all kinds of glitter. Everyone was getting ready for the party that was going to occur in 15 minutes yet Rarity still had trouble getting Rainbow dash to wear something other than her casual blue tank top and shorts.
"Rarity, I have a reason why I can't wear your 'beautiful' dresses, trust me I would've if I could've" Dash said, she was obviously lying but she knew that she couldn't wear any kind of 'fancy shmancy' dress, it just wasn't her thing plus she didn't want to ruin her image in front of the Wonderbolts.
"And may I ask what this reason is?" Rarity asked while putting a hand on her hip. She knows Rainbow Dash and her dislike of dress's, she wanted to know if there really was a reason not to wear the dress.
"Uh well- the reason is that- uh you see, I um" Dash struggled to find an excuse to get away with the whole dress thing, then an idea popped in her head. "Oh! The reason I can't wear your dress is that, i'm hurt and by wearing the comfy clothes i'm wearing right now, it wont tense my my wings and back muscles." genius, the only reason Dash had to feel good about being hurt.
Rarity huffed, "If that really is a reason to help you feel better, then I suppose we can wait..." Rarity said, she was obviously a little dissapointed her friend won't be wearing one of her favourite dress's but it's for the best.
Rainbow dash did a mental happy dance and went to go check on the others. Especially Applejack, she knew AJ doesn't like to dress as well but now she got to make fun of her. Rainbow dash smirked and trotted to AJ's change room. (Not inside guys but OUTSIDE of AJ's change room.)

Soarin in his room, in the hotel that he was staying at. He has changed out of his Wonderbolt uniform into something more casual. He now lay on his bed thinking about a few day ago.
How? How is she not dead? Well hell, i'm happy she's alive but, someone her size and weight can't just get hit by a compressed lightning cloud and get away like nothing happened... ugh my brain hurts, I wonder how she's doing? Hope I get the chance to talk to her." Soarin's thoughts were disrupted by a loud knock at the door. He got up and trotted towards the door, he opened it revealing Rapidfire, who stood there in annoyance.
"What do you want" Soarin asked coldly. Rapidfire scoffed, and turned towards him.
"Captain ordered me to get you, you're keeping us all waiting, hurry your ass up!" Rapidfire snapped
As you all can see Soarin and Rapidfire hate each other, if it wasn't for their career, they'd be ripping each others wings off.
Soarin huffed and went back inside his room to get his keys and phone then made his way to the lobby where the rest of his squad was waiting.
Spitfire was talking to Fleetfoot but suddenly stopped when he saw the two walk in. "Gentlemen line up!" Spitfire ordered, both of them lined up and listened attentively.
"Ok guys, we are going to a nice town party, this is a vacation where hopefully everything goes as planned, I don't want to see you two fighting, I know you guys hate each others guts but lets keep it clean. This party was generously planned for us, so I want good behaviour and absolutely NO fighting. Do I make myself clear?" Spitfire finished as the two men said together, "Yes Ma'am"
"Good, now let's get going" They all walked out of the lobby and took off in the skies to get to Sweet Apple Acres.
"Oh come on Rarity we're going to be late" Dash threw her arms up in frustration, Rarity was taking a super long time to get herself ready for the party. And then finally she walked out with... a little too much, as usual.
"Rarity is ready" Rarity said, while posing in front of her friends.
"Well finally you were taking a whole lot a time sugarcube" Applejack said.
"Well you can't rush perfection" Rarity said, while crossing her arms and pouting.
"Ok girls let's get going" Twilight said, as the rest nodded and headed for Sweet Apple Acres.
As the group of friends got closer and closer to the party they could hear the beat of music. When they finally got to the farm, Applejack opened the door revealing a room full of balloons, streamers, cupcakes etc, the farm was completely different, there was not one part of it undecorated.
"LOOK OUT BELOW!" a high pitch scream came from above, Twilight and Rainbow Dash both moved to the side as Pinkie landed two feet on the ground. "FINALLY, YOU'RE ALL HERE! Get behind those haystacks were going to surprise the Wonderbolts when they come in" Pinkie pushed them all behind the haystacks and told them to wait as she shut the lights off.
The farm door opened slightly, then Fleetfoot poked her head into the farm. "Did we go to the wrong farm?" she asked while opening the door wide so that the rest of the Wonderbolts could see.
"I don't think so? What time is-" Spitfire was cut off, the lights turned on and there was a loud, "SURPRISE!" The four Wonderbolts jumped in surprise, Fleetfoot jumped in Spitfires arms as she gave a terrified face. Then Pinkie pie zoomed in the middle of everyone and said, "LET'S GET THIS PARTY STARTED!"
DJ Pon3 put the music back and people started to dance to the music, the group of friends went up to the still shocked Wonderbolts.
"You guys ok? Guess we really shocked you this time" Dash laughed as Fleetfoot hopped out of Spitfires arms.
"THIS IS SO COOL! The party looks so awesome, come on Dash, dance with me" Fleetfoot said dramatically she grabbed Dash's arm and pulled her into the middle of the dance floor.
*huff* "Damn i'm thirsty" Dash said, as she fanned herself with her hand.
"I know right, I mean look at all that muscle" Fleetfoot pointed to a random guy close to where the two were standing. Dash face flattened.
"Fleet, that's not what I was talking about" Dash said, with slight disgust.
"Awe come on Dashie, wouldn't-cha want to?" Dash's scrunched up her face giving a disgusted look. Fleet had one heck of a dirty mind. "I'm kidding, chill Dash" Fleet said, while pulling Dash to the others who were gathered up talking to one another.
"I need to chill?" Dash smiled and rolled her eyes and followed Fleetfoot to the others. Dash spotted Soarin and talking to Pinkie and Twilight. She just realized that she hadn't properly thanked him for saving her, "awe come on Dash, now he probably thinks that I don't respect Wonderbolts, AND THAT COULD RUIN MY IMAGE, WHICH COULD RUIN MY FUTURE OF BEING A WONDERBOLT!! Woah, Fleet was right I do need to chill, I hope I get the chance to talk to him" Dash broke out of here whole self to self argument and came back to reality. Everyone laughing about the time Pinkie went really sugar high at Shinning armour and Princess Cadence's wedding.
Dash looked up at Soarin as there eyes unexpectedly met, Dash motioned her head to the side, Soarin looked at her confusingly, Dash motioned again, she wanted to take this and thank him for everything. Soarin nodded and they both slipped away from the group conversation and walked over to a corner where the music was quieter.
"So what's up Dash?" Soarin questioned, Dash leaned her shoulder against the wall.
"Heh, I know i've been busy and all trying o catch up of what I missed a few days ago and I don't think I properly thanked you for you know, helping me with the whole compressed cloud thing." Dash smiled, Soarin perked an eyebrow up and smirked ever so slightly.
"Well your very welcome, but I don't remember helping you" Soarin's smirk grew wider, "I basically saved you, righttt" Soarin said, he knew that Dash was a confident and strong girl and he also knew she didn't like to show weakness but just being Soarin, he liked to tease a little.
"What! No! I- you just helped me, that's all, even without your help, I could've totally saved myself, you didn't need to save me" Dash shot back and crossed her arms in defence.
"So you agree it was saving?" Soarin said, as he crossed his arms mocking her position. Dash's eyes grew wide and shot a glare at Soarin who bursted out laughing. "Your expression, hahaha, you should've seen it,haahaha" Soarin laughed as Dash stood there all pissed.
"Yea yea real funny Soarin" Dash said sarcastically. Soarin finally calmed down and put an arm on her shoulder and looked down at her.
"Well its good to see that your still the old Rainbow Dash but I gotta go help that poor lady get away from Rapidfire, hope we can talk later!" And with that Soarin jogged away into the crowd. What was he talking about? Helping someone get away from Rapidfire? Dash confusingly joined Spitfire, Fleetfoot and Twilights conversation and shrugged everything off.
"Damn i'm thirsty" Fleetfoot exclaimed while fanning herself with her. "Come on Dashie, let's go get a drink" Fleetfoot grabbed her arm and Spitfires and pulled them towards the bar. "Hey" Fleetfoot motioned to the bartender.
"What can I do for y'all" she said with an accent close to Applejacks.
"Can I get one large cider alcoholic" Fleet said, the bartender instantly shot her a 'you sure honey' glance, yet Fleet knew that look, "Don't ya worry ma'am i'll be sharing it with my friend over here" Fleetfoot pointed towards Spitfire who just nodded. The bartender nodded in understatement then looked towards Dash.
"And the usual for ya Rainbow Dash? One large non alcoholic cider?" the bartender asked, Dash came here often for the awesome cider they made, she was obviously known for that other than her flying.
"Yeah, the usual" Dash said, casually, the bartender went to work with the orders, Dash leaned against the counter and turned towards Fleetfoot and Spitfire, Fleetfoot snickered, trying to hold in a laugh. "What?" Dash looked behind her but there was nothing there, she turned back to Fleetfoot.
"non-alcoholic" Fleetfoot bursted out laughing, "What are you a kid?" Fleetfoot exclaimed, Dash's expression flattened.
"no just under age" Dash muttered and glared at Fleetfoot as she continued to laugh.
"I keep forgetting you're only 18, too bad" Fleetfoot leaned on the counter as well, the bartender walked in with the drinks in her hand and placed them in front of them.
"Enjoy" she said and walked out. Fleetfoot watched still she walked out then looked at Dash, Dash looked at Fleetfoot and smirked, Fleetfoot tricked the bartender in thinking she would split her drink. Spitfire allowed it since they were on vacation.
"Race?" they both said in union, they both got ready, Dash was confident she could beat Fleet.
Spitfire sighed at there immaturity, "three, two, one, go" she said and watch the two chug down their drinks. Dash eyes squinted at the taste "What kind of cider is this? Tastes different, and kind of gross" Dash thought but refused to stop and lose, that was the last thing she would do.
The two finished, Dash stuck her tongue out "What the hell? What kind of cider is this" Dash said, in disgust. Fleetfoot's eyes widened then looked at her drink then Dash, then her drink then back at Dash. Dash's eyes also widened.
