The Winter Warrior

Let's see, half the Avengers are under custody, the other half are Domesticated and I am free to do as I wish. Well used to, if I wasn't brought into a whole new world by some disgusting dogs.

"Hail, Hydra! Immortal Hydra! We shall never be destroyed! Cut off a limb, and two more shall take its place! We serve none but the Master—as the world shall soon serve us! Hail Hydra!"

That is what I've learned throughout my life in a cell. I was born somewhere in the United Kingdom but raised in a hidden Siberian base. I was taught how to talk, to read, to kill and to follow orders. The man who raised me thought of me as his own but as soon as I turned fourteen, the others noticed and I was ordered to kill him...and I did.

I lived the life as a Hydra operative alongside another man that calls himself Bucky. He told me that he and I are prisoners, I didn't believe him.

September 19, 1991

They sent.Bucky out to retrieve a very important serum. The serum is said to create super soldiers and once Bucky came back with the case, the doctors went to work.

Bucky was the first and a succes. Then came the Kill squad. At first it seemed like it worked but when they were testing their fighting capabilities one of them attacked a doctor. The others saw this and did the same with anyone near them.

After putting them down, they were about to cancel the project but one said to try once more with me. They did. The pain was unbearable but it worked, I was obedient and nigh on impossible to take down.

Years have passed and Hydra was no more, leaving me in the life of a mercenary.

Now, I'm just waiting for one of these ponies to grow some balls and actually fight me. What kind of Military carried spears when their enemy is the Winter Warrior.

I don't know. This came to me after seeing the new Captain America.

A Stroll through a Prison

I grabbed my cup of coffee and took a sip as I read the newspaper in my free hand. I couldn't help but have a little grin as I read the headlines.

Mstiteli Arestovan. (Avengers Arrested)

Taking another sip, I placed the newspaper on the table in front of me and turned the page. As I began to read the first page, I felt a drop of water on the top of my head.

I looked up just in time for another droplet of water to land on my face. Growling, I stood up and finished my cup of coffee before placing it in the sink, along with the other dirty dishes.

I looked at my little abode, seeing a small bed, a bathroom, a tiny kitchen and all in one tiny apartment. I shook my head as I grabbed my bag from the bed before heading out.

As I arrived I heard the sound of banging on the door followed by the voice of my landlord.

“Vy prosrochili platu na nedelyu, mudak! (You're a week overdue in paying your rent, Asshole!)” His arrogant voice rang through the door as he kept banging on it. I stood there with my arms crossed and silent.

“Dazhe ne pytaytes' ignorirovat' menya! YA znayu, chto ty tam! (Do not ignore me! I know you are in there!)” He shouted again. I sighed before taking the lock of my door only for it to get slammed by it.

Surprised, I fell onto the floor as I held my nose. I looked up to see two burly men in leather jackets and an overweight middle aged man between them. The man wore a black suit, the type one wears for a special occasions and a fedora.

Taking hold of the cigar in his mouth, he took it out and blew out a puff of smoke.

“Moi den'gi. Gde eto. (My money. Where is it.)” He said with a glare. I smirked before flipping him the bird.

He snapped his fingers, allowing his two lackeys to grab both my arms and pull me up. I looked up at the landlord before being hit with the back of his handgun.

“Ya terpeliviy chelovek, no u menya ne khvatayet terpeniya ili vremeni dlya vashey gluposti. Sproshu yeshche raz. Gde moi den'gi. (I am a man of pateince but I do not have the time or patience for your shit. I'll ask again. Where is my money.)” He demanded. I smirked as I slowly tightened my arms around both of the two thugs that held me.

Before he could ask again they both yelled in pain before I received satisfactory cracks and snaps from the arms. They let go to clutch their broken arm in pain and I headbutted the man in front of me before taking hold of his gun.

He tried to punch me away but I caught his fist and slowly began to crush it. The cigar he dropped slowly rolled onto a puddle next to an empty jerry can. Putting the gun in my pocket, I then took a firm grip of his entire left arm before using my knee to hold his right hand on the floor and smashing his left elbow on my knee.

Hearing his scream of agony, I stomped on his hand just as the cigar touched the puddle, lighting it aflame. Grabbing my bag, I walked out the door and closed it before locking it.

I looked to my right and saw a large bookcase. I pulled the case and blocked the door. As I walked down the stairs, their screams slowly faded away from my ears the lower I got.

Once I was at the lobby, I looked over and saw one of my many neighbors walking up to the elevator. She was an elder woman, she looked to be in her seventies.

She had a bag of groceries in her right hand and a cane on her left. I placed a hand on her shoulder, she was going to yell at me for scaring her until she looked over and saw me.

She didn't say anything and only nodded before making her way back to the front door. I helped her hurry out the door before going our separate ways. Before I rounded up the corner, I heard screams of terror.

Looking back, I saw that one of the thugs broke through the window and fell on a small station wagon. I smirked at my handiwork before scratching my nose, feeling the scar.

I was never given a name but I think of myself as a Ben kind of man. I have my reasons to hate, for one, I was raised in a top secret base in the Siberian Mountains by an organization named Hydra.

I was handpicked to become a super soldier back in 1991. After a whole set of failures, they were about to give but decided to try one more time. They had already succeeded once with James Buchanan "Bucky" Barnes, an american soldier nicknamed The Winter Soldier.

After they had injected me with the serum and hours of pain and suffering, it worked and in more ways than one. Unlike James, I didn't need a phrase and had been ordered to fight James.

I've won and had been declared as their perfect creation, The Winter Warrior.

I walked passed a few people as I held the bag over my shoulder. I turned through an alley, immediately seeing a red dumpster.

Walking up to it, I could smell the garbage inside but ignoring the horrid smell, I pulled the lid up, making the snow fall back behind the dumpster.

I looked inside and moved a few things before finding the object I'm looking for. Pulling out of the trash, I saw that it was a metal staff, my metal staff.

I pressed the button, making the staff extend both ways until was fully drawn. I saw the emblem, Hydra.

“Hail, Hydra! Immortal Hydra! We shall never be destroyed! Cut off a limb, and two more shall take its place! We serve none but the Master—as the world shall soon serve us! Hail Hydra!" I recited the oath while I spun the staff around.

I've hidden it for various reasons. I'm wanted for murder of the assassination of the Prime Minister of a minor country, firebombing bombing the United Nations, Grand Theft, etc. No one knows who I am but in all the videos and pictures I always held the staff.

Sighing, I closed the staff and placed it in my bag before continuing down the alley. I let out a breath and saw the little fog before it dissipated.

I wore large fur coat, gloves and hat while underneath, I wore a long sleeved black shirt and long black pants to match. Under my shirt was a ballistic vest.

I stopped in front of a small glass window that was covered in snow. Wiping it away, I could see that inside was one of the local pubs and seeing the jolly looks of the men and women inside brought a smile on my lips. I saw my reflection.

I am a white skinned male of twenty six years. I have brown hazel eyes and dark brown hair. Speaking of hair, my hair was recently cut into a Caesar's Hairstyle. I have a scar that ran across my my right eye, nose and left cheek.

I shook my head before walking away. I heard the sound a fire engine not to far from where I am, I could only guess that they noticed the building was on fire.

I squinted my eyes as the snowstorm started kicking in, fogging my vision. As I walked down the seemingly endless alley, I took notice of one thing.

I didn't hear the sound of people. Not letting myself get frozen to death, I continued down the alley. As I walked, I heard the snow crunch behind me.

I turned around and saw nothing but when I looked back, I was greeted by a large jolt of electricity. Once it stopped, my vision was blurring as I saw a fur covered hand take hold of me before I succumbed into unconsciousness.

Meanwhile

In a land far away, a magical land full of mythical creatures and monsters as well as magic. The inhabitants vary from Griffin, Minotaur, Pony and Zebra as well as a few sub species.

Twilight Sparkle, a former student of the raiser of the Sun and co-ruler of Equestria, Princess Celestia. She was also the wielder of the element of magic and recently crowned Princess of Friendship.

But being the new princess wasn't easy, she needed to get used to her body again. Growing in size and a pair of wings along with having a bigger pool of magic, she needed time to adjust.

It's a shame that Diamond Dogs managed to Foalnap her in the middle of the night.

Diamond Dogs are a race of dog like creatures that excavate for gems and mostly travel in packs. Known for their crimes of foalnapping and slavery, they knew that the new Princess needed time to adjust to her new body and this gave them an opportunity.

That all happened six days ago and during that time, Twilight was either used for digging or pleasure. She tried her hardest to use her magic but failed each time.

She laid in her cot inside her cell. She wore nothing but a few large rags of cloth, covering herself to at least look decent enough before the dogs would come back.

Her ears twitched at the sound of the door creaking open. Preparing herself the inevitable, she closed her eyes as she heard her cell door open.

Minutes passed and nothing only the loud thump was heard next to her. Opening her eyes, she saw a strange creature. Almost pony like if it weren't for the hairlessness around his body and the ears being on the side of its head.

She saw its chest rise up before lowering, it was breathing and it was covered in snow.

I opened my eyes and was greeted by a stone ceiling. I sat up quickly and saw an iron cell door before standing up and searching myself. Nothing.

“Der'mo.(Shit)” I cursed. Whoever had the balls to take me better pray I don't find them.

I was taken out of my thoughts as I heard someone else taking a deep breath next to me. Looking to my left, I saw..a lavender fur covered woman?

As much as I wanted to take my time seeing the woman, I needed to make the fuck pay for knocking me out. Walking up to the bars, I took hold of two of them before pulling them apart.

After hearing the sound of metal bending, I saw that I've made a small enough hole and went through it. As I walked over to the only door in this room, I cracked my knuckles while twisting my neck a bit before kicking the door off its hinges.

I saw strange bipedal dog looking things holding swords. They turned to look at me with a growl, which I returned with a glare.

Freedom for the price of imprisonment

View Online

Twilight was scared, that much was obvious. The creature that those Dogs brought in easily bent the bars. Before it did though, it turned to her and stared only briefly before bending the bars.

Twilight didn't know if she should be happy, a way out and a chance to escape or terrified, what if this creature came back for her and have its way with her.

She felt helpless again and it soon worsen when the sound of fighting broke out from outside. The door was knocked off its hinges, allowing snow to go in and lower the temperature of the room, causing Twilight to start shivering.

A blizzard was raging outside, confusion donned the new Princess when she remembered one thing that would make this blizzard an oddity. It was summer, the month of June.

She tried to stand but the cold weakened her more than she was before. Twilight gave up and fell to the floor, tears were streaming down her muzzle.

I had two of these dogs in my hand, choking them while I used them as shields to block the arrows from a few archers. I didn't question their lack of firearms. The dog I held on my left hand went limp from the loss of blood.

I threw the body in front of me as the archer fired another arrow, hitting the body before it landed on the dog. I looked at my left hand and saw the dog choking before I knocked him out with a few punches. Before dropping him, I tightened my grip around his neck, earning a crack before his head hung limp slightly to the left.

I threw the now dead dog onto the snow before looking around, seeing the bodies of the rest. There was one with two swords in its eyes and another with its lower jaw missing.

The missing jaw was firmly lodged into another's throat and a hole through its chest. I walked up to my bag that was placed near a campfire.

The campfire was aflame and one of the Dog's head was in it, burning along with the fire. Picking up my bag, I took out my staff before pressing the button, fully extending it.

I then walked up to the last dog. He was under another body that was full of arrows. He tried to push the body off of him but failed.

I stood over him as he tried to push it off of him again. Twisting the center of the staff, causing the top to open up and a blade to pop up. I spun the staff around until the blade was inches away from his neck.

“P-p-pleas-” He didn't finish his plea as the blade pierced his neck and cut his throat before pulling it out. He started choking in his blood and coughed a few times.

I turned around and went back to find the woman in the cell. I entered the makeshift home turned prison and saw her shivering in the cold. Beside the cell on a table was my fur coat.

I went and grabbed before entering the cell again. I placed the coat over her. Once I saw that she was covered neck to..hoof in my coat, I went and walked out of the cell again.

I walked outside and saw the door on the snow. Picking it up, I carried it back to the small prison and placed the door where it belonged, keeping the snow out and hopefully the cold as well. I then sat down on the floor with the wall on my back and waited.

An hour later, I felt my eyes getting heavier by the minute. I tried to stay awake but ultimately fell asleep.

Twilight awoke after having slept through a blizzard. She felt warm and something covering her. She sat up without a second thought.

She looked around, seeing her prison and not her home. She then looked at what covered her and saw a fur coat. Her face paled at the sight until she felt the fur. It was fake and she sighed in relief.

Her ears were then greeted by a loud snore. She looked out of her cell and saw the familiar creature asleep on the floor.

With enough effort she finally stood up and took her first step, then the second. She walked up to the hole in the cell and went through it while she wrapped the coat around herself.

She looked at the creature as it slept. Daring herself, she got closer and heard his steady breathing. She turned to the door and saw it placed back in the doorway to keep the snow out.

The thought of leaving and returning back home was filling her mind but she turned to look at the sleeping creature. She thought about its intentions with her, why did she gives the coat?

“Dom.(Home)” It said in a language she hadn't heard of before. She walked closer to it before crouching down and getting a closer look at its face. From what she could tell, this creature was male by not only the sound of its voice but also his..lower regions.

‘What do the stallions call this? Morningwood.’ Twilight thought with a blush. Her curious side was taking over and she saw her hand reaching for the bulge in the creatures pants.

A hand took hold of her wrist. She looked up and saw the eyes of the male creature looking at her.

“Ne prikasaytes'. (Don't touch.)” he said in a threatening tone. Twilight couldn't understand a word he said but she could've guessed it meant not touching him. He let go and I took a few steps back.

He stood up and stretched before looking back at Twilight.

“Tvoi roditeli ne uchili tebya chemu nibut' o poryadochnosti?(Haven't your parents ever teach you anything about decency?)” He said. Twilight looked at him in confusion and he caught on.

“Wie wäre es jetzt? (How about now?)” He asked earning the same look again.

“Now?” He asked, this time in fluent equish. Still blushing, Twilight nodded in understanding. He looked around the room, not wanting to talk with her anymore, leaving Twilight to assume that he thinks of her as a molester.

He stood near one of the candles and picked up a small bag and letting Twilight get a better view at the man. He was in top physical shape. His clothes torn from a fight which made Twilight fear in going outside as soon as she saw a few blood stains on his shirt.

He walked towards the broken door and moved it out of the way, letting the light of day inside. After he took a few steps in the snow, he looked back at the mare.

I've been in weird situations and this is no difference. I mean, I've fought against a blue fur covered man once back in the states.

As I looked at the woman with my coat, I could see her try to avoid eye contact.

“Listen, if you want to stay here that's find by me but I'm ditching this place to the nearest town.” I said to her. Her ears perked at the mention of town. She slowly walked up to me without a word.

I'm confused on why she tried to touch my dick, I'm not that kind of guy that fuck any woman that tries. Last time I was in an intimate relationship was with Raven Darkhölme or as most people know her as Mystique.

Anyway, I looked outside and saw that the corpses were buried in snow, saving this lady from seeing a few corpses. I guided her out of the camp before we started heading West as she suggested.

“Who and what are you?” I heard the lady ask me as we traversed the forest.

“My name doesn't matter and as for what I am, I'm a human or homosapien. Now who and what are you?” I asked her. She shivered from the cold before answering.

“My name is Twilight Sparkle, as for what I am, I am the Alicorn Princess of Friendship.” She said. I shook my head a bit at the mention of Friendship.

“Well it's nice to meet you, your highness.” I said to her as I saw a cloud block out the sun. I heard her groan.

“Please don't call me that, I hate being treated differently.” She said. I nodded as snow started to fall again.

We continued on through the snow fall, I've taken a few glances at Princess Twilight and saw her fur slowly turning blue. She suddenly fell on to the floor with a yell.

“My legs, I can't feel them.” She said with a few stutters. Not wanting to leave her behind, I picker her up bridal style before starting to walk again, albeit a little slower.

It felt like hours as I walked through the forest during the snow. I heard voices and metal clunking in front of me.

“Hey! Anyone out there!?” I yelled and by the looks of it, they heard me and through the snow came an armored man like Twilight. He had a horn, electric blue hair and purple armor and as soon as he looked at Twilight in my arms, he blasted me with something. I flew backwards and the back of my head slammed into a tree.

“Take him in. I want to see him rot for taking my sister.” Was All I heard before going out of consciousness

Twilight awoke a second time, seeing her surroundings had changed as soon as she woke up. The second the she noticed was the sound of a heart beat monitor.

Sitting up, she saw that she was placed in a hospital and if she wasn't mistaken, it was in Canterlot. She felt happy to be out of the forest but she couldn't find the man who helped her.

Her ears perked up at the sound of the door. Looking at who entered the room, Twilight saw her older brother and former captain of the guard, Shining Armor.

“Twily!” He exclaimed, seeing her baby sister was fine lifted a huge weight of his shoulders. While Twilight normally would jump and hug her Big brother best friend forever, she still needed answers.

“Shining, what happened?” She asked. Shining grabbed a folding chair before placing it next to her bed and began to explain how he found her being carried by a hairless monster.
“And now he's in the dungeons, where it'll rot for the rest of its life for taking you.” Shining said. Twilight shook her head before jumping off the bed.

“Twily, where are you going!?” Shining yelled.

“To fix your mistake!” She replied before appearing just in front of the palace in a blink of an eye. Stunned and surprise as she might be, she still needed to help her rescuer out of the dungeons.

As soon as she set foot in the courtyard, a hole was blown open in one of the high towers. A figure jumped off the hole and landed on one of the roofs before making its way down by ledges and landing in front of Twilight.

Low and behold it was the same human that had rescued her. Twilight was amazed, shocked and surprised at what she had just witnesses.

“Close your mouth, you'll catch flies.” The man said as he closed her mouth for her. With a few blinks she shook her head.

“I'm so sorry for what my brother did-” Twilight didn't finish her apology as the man placed a finger on her lips to quiet her down.

“Tell it to him.” He said before gesturing behind her. Turning around, she saw the face of her confused and angry brother.

The storm is coming

View Online

Twilight didn't know what had happened. One minute her brother and the stranger looked at each other, the next second they were in a heated battle.

While she wanted to separate the two of them and tell them to knock it off, she had noticed that Shining was the one that was taking the most hits. She had seen Shining take on the most elite guards when he was just a cadet but this is something else.

Shining landed a few punches, but they were not effective in the slightest. Deciding to change his tactics, Shining conjured a shield, using it to block his punches while continuing to move back with each pounding the shield took.

A few guards arrived at the scene and were greeted with their former captain being pinned against a palace wall. The guards hurried to their captain’s aid, but the stranger took hold of Armors shield and yanked it off Shinings hand before throwing it towards the guards. As the shield slowly started deconstructing, it bounced on one of the guards head, knocking him out and doing the same with the other four before the shield vanished.

What Twilight saw next made her eyes grow in fear. The stranger pulled out a knife from his boot before placing it near Shinings neck.

“Stop it!” She shouted and she was surprised at what occurred next. The stranger dropped his knife and let go of her older brother before standing straight with an expressionless look.

Twilight ran towards her brother as the latter weakly stood up and picked up the knife. He was about to strike but Twilight grabbed his wrist before taking the blade.

“Twilight! This thing is dangerous! If it can escape the cell up in the tower it has to be dealt wi-”

*Smack*

He is not a thing and in his defense, you started it by imprisoning him in the dungeons.” Twilight said with anger dripping through her tone. Shining couldn't believe what was happening, just hours ago he had rescued Twilight from a hairless monster and brought her to hospital before putting the creature in the dungeon; but yet Twilight stood there, defending it to the point of being slapped across the face.

“Why are you defending him!?” Shining yelled, pointing at the man behind his sister. The man didn't move an inch from where he stood, still expressionless.

“Because he's the one that helped me when I was still imprisoned by Diamond Dogs!” His sister retorted with a glare before turning to look at the man. Her brother stared in shock at what she had said before he saw the guards on the floor stand up.

They noticed the man before walking over to him and holding him down on the floor, he still bore his expressionless face.

“Let him go.” Armor said after a minute of thinking. The guards looked at him and did as he ordered before getting off of the man. Twilight knelt down to help him up but saw that he hadn't moved still.

“Are you okay?” She asked him. He slowly turned his head towards her.

“Ya gotov otvechat'. (Ready to comply.)” He said. Twilight was confused, not too long ago he spoke in Equish now he's back to whatever language that is. She then started shaking him.

“Please answer me.” She said to him. He closed his eyes before opening them again.

As I regained consciousness, I could feel someone shaking me a lot. Opening my eyes, I saw the worried loom of Twilight. Placing my hands on the ground, I pushed myself back up before placing a hand my head.

“Are you okay?” I heard her voice and I nodded before looking around. Twilight wore the same rags I found her in, it was still snowing and she had left without the coat.

“I'm fine.” I answered and as I did, I noticed her shivering again. Standing up, I picked her up, knowing she won't be able to walk in the cold.

I saw her brother a few feet away from me and saw him shivering as well before spotting me. He glared at me and I did nothing but take Twilight inside the large palace before the storm kicked in.

As soon as Twilight's brother closed the door, he turned to look at his sister. He walked up to me before checking Twilight.

“What's wrong with her? She isn't like this around snow.” He asked me. I shrugged at him before setting her down. Twilight placed an arm on my shoulder for leverage as she tried to move her legs.

“I don't know.” I answered the man's question.

“But we do.” I turned towards the voice, seeing a much taller woman. She was like Twilight a pair of wings and horn on her forehead. The only way I could describe her height was that of an Amazon. Her fur was white, and her hair was a variation of three colors that waved in the nonexistent air. Next to the tall Amazon was a slightly smaller, and significantly darker one. Like her partner, she had both a pair of wings and a large horn. How I could tell if they were women, it's pretty obvious if you ask me. Besides the obvious feminine features present in most mammals, they both wore long and elegant dresses that matched their furs.

The man next to me bowed at them before turning to me with a glare that practically yelled Do as I do. Rolling my eyes, I looked at the two women standing a few feet away.

“And the reason is?” I asked them. The white one walked over to me before placing a hand on Twilight's cheek. She then pulled her hand away with a sigh.

“She hasn't adjusted with the change yet, which makes her body weaker to extreme cold, especially if in this peculiar weather. But beyond that, what confuses me the most of this situation, is you.” She said as she looked at me straight in the eyes.

“If what Shining Armor said was correct that you were walking in the middle of a blizzard unaffected by the cold, you have no magic in you yet you could resist the frozen weather outside like if it was your everyday routine.” She said to me with curious eyes.

“I was trained to withstand the harsh elements and the cold never bothered me anyways.” I told her before turning to look at the struggling Twilight. I then turned back to the Amazon woman.

“Who are you?” I asked out of the blue. She looked at me as if I was mental.

“You don't know who I am? The Princess of The sun and Co-Ruler of Equestria.” She said and with a shake of my head, she thought of a solution to why I didn't know her. As she thought, I had realized what she had said.

“Hold on a minute..Equestria?” I asked her and with a nod from the woman, I groaned.

“Blyat'.(Fuck.)” I cursed before looking at the monarch in front of me.

“Well your highness, it seems that I've gotten into a bit of trouble.” I said out loud before walking towards the wall behind Twilight and began to smack my head against it.

Twilight was weak, that much could be said about her current situation but she was relieved to hear that it was just her adjustment to Alirconhood. Looking at her former mentor, Twilight saw the look of worry on Celestia and followed her gaze.

Twilight's eyes landed on her rescuer repeatedly hitting his head against the wall while speaking in whatever language he spoke in.

“Princess-”

“Twilight, there is no need for you to call me princess anymore, you're an Alicorn now and that makes us equal in status.” Celestia said cutting off her former student.

“Sorry, old habits die hard.” Twilight apologized before remembering what she wanted to say.

“Celestia, this weather is a strange phenomenon, it's June, the sun is supposed to be out not covered by an endless sea of clouds.” Twilight said to her fellow princess while Luna kept staring at the human.

“I know, Twilight and I have Equestrias finest Meteorologist researching the cause of the storm.” Celestia informed her but it wasn't enough, Twilight was still worried that the storm could cause damage across the country.

“Sir, I'm sure there is a better way to vent out your frustration.” Twilight could managed to hear Luna’s voice behind her followed by the banging of the wall.

After a full ten minutes, I finally stopped banging my head and looked at the dark.colored woman. She looked at me with worry before I grunted and turned around, I still needed my bag and with that in mind, I walked out the front door, ignoring the woman’s call and into the storm.

As soon as I gotten my bearings through the storm, I started climbing up towards the hole I made. I stopped half way to catch my breath, climbing is exhausting but effective in keeping me ready.

After a few minutes, I've finally arrived and found the cell I was located in before seeing a small locker with the label confiscated items. Breaking the cell door open and walking up to the locker, I raised my fist before reeling it back then thrusting my fist through the metal locker door, scratching the skin of my hand to the point of bleeding before ripping the door off and seeing my bag labeled Ben.

Taking the bag, I turned back around and started heading towards the hole again before jumping off, landing on a nearby roof before I jumped off again and landed in the courtyard.

Looked at the large door then at the gate behind me. Turning around I headed towards the gate.

I've helped enough and I want to try to find my way back ho-’ I had stopped that thought before realizing something slightly funny, I have no home.

‘Well now, this changes my plans some - but it is not unwelcome.’ With a smirk, I shook my head and headed east towards the side of the mountain.

Frezing away into oblivion

Frozen and wet, two things I felt as I had regained consciousness though the pain was only felt a few seconds later. It was only the second time I've woken up and had been punished for my disobedience.

I felt the cold water drip down from my bare and bloodied chest, bruises could be seen as well. If only I could yell or scream to the man for him to stop.

“Tupoe otrod'e, ti ne dolzhen teryat soznanie! (Stupid brat, you are not supposed to lose consciousness!)” I heard one of them yell as the stomped onto my frail body. I'm only six years old and this man beats me just for me to listen to his orders.

“Otstavit', serzhant! on prosto rebyonok! (Stand down, Sergeant! He is only a child!)” A familiar voice belonging to the only man who had shown me kindness throughout my life in this infernal place.

“Mayor, pri vsem uvazhenii, mi nikogda ne sdelaem iz nego soldata, esli vi vsegda budete s nim dobri. (Major, with all do respect, we'll never make a soldier out of him if you're always kind to him.)” The other man said as I tried to sit up only to fall back onto the cold wet floor.

“Serzhant, ya povtoryat ne stanu. (Sergeant, I will not repeat myself.)” The kind man growled at the other. The latter scoffed before nodding and walking away. Sniffing a bit, I felt fresh tear stream down my cheeks.

“Do not cry little one, it is over.” I felt a hand brush through my hair. I didn't speak, I couldn't speak, never learned and never taught. I felt a pair of hands grab me by my sides before lifting me up. The man then cradled me into his arms as he walked out of the room.

I weakly turned my head towards him, seeing his face. A thirty two year old man that wore soldier clothes. He has been the only nice person I've known, which always makes me wonder, is the world out there as cruel as the men down here.

I let out sickly cough before sniffing a little.

“Let's go see what's making you cough lately.” The man said as he stopped in front of his room door before opening it. The room was bigger than any other room I've been in, a bed, a dresser and a work desk were the key furniture in the room, there were shelves on the walls, filled to the brim with books. He walked up to the bed and placed me down gently before letting my head rest on the soft pillow.

He then walked towards one of the cabinets above a metal sink. He took out a thermometer, a soft sponge, a bottle and a towel. I still felt cold and hurt, so I waited with silent hiccups.

After closing the cabinet, he walked back and pulled the seat near his desk with his foot dragging the seat. He almost trip a couple of times, which caused me to let out a few giggles.

After setting up the seat next to the bed, he sat down and held the thermometer closed to me.

“I'm going to need you to open your mouth.” I shook my head after he spoke.

“I promise this won't hurt you.” He said with a soft tone. I slightly opened my mouth and he placed the thermometer under my tongue.

“Now close it please.” I did as he said and closed my mouth. While he waited for the thermometer, he began to clean the blood from me while checking for any major injuries.

I heard the kind man whisper something before cleaning my wounds with the sponge. Wincing a bit, I felt more tears well up from the pain but I soon felt calm once the kind man spoke.

“Do not cry, little one. I'm only trying to clean you up, so do not be afraid when you feel a little sting.” He said as finished soaking up the blood before placing the sponge on the floor next to him. He then picked up the bottle and the towel. He then opened the bottle before dipping the towel a bit.

“Hold still, little one.” As he said this, I felt a sudden surge of pain from the wound. It lasted for a minute and during that time, the kind man picked up everything before sitting back down next to me and taking the thermometer out of my mouth.

“Let's see.” He said before squinting.

“Poor child, you have a fever.” He said to me. “I'll go get you some medicine and in the meantime you can rest.” He said as he stood up from his chair.

I stared at him as he walked towards the door and out. After the door closed behind him, I began to feel exhausted and with a yawn, I went to sleep with a little smile donning my lips.

I awoke from the sound of the winds and sat up from my area before running my eyes. I then stretched and earned a few satisfying pops from my shoulders.

Standing up, I walked up to the burnt pile of wood before looking out of the cave and seeing the forest outside. It had been a week since my initial arrival and during the week, I had noticed that the blizzards were becoming less frequent by the day until yesterday when it hadn't snow at all and I guess the snow melted during the rest of the day.

I looked over to my bag that hung from a stalagmite on the wall and walked over to it before opening it, hopping that I had at least one last set of clothes but found nothing.

Sighing out loud, I closed the bag after taking out my staff.

“Should've known better.” I muttered to myself as I looked at my current attire. I've been wearing the same pair of clothes since day one. It had accumulated dirt over the course of the week but I was at least thankful that they were still in good condition.

I spun the staff before pressing the button, fully extending it. After spinning it around for a bit of fun, I walked out the cave opening and took in the fresh forest air.

It had taken a bit of time to find this cave after jumping off the mountain, leaving the royals to their businesses but I guess that they didn't take the message because there had been soldiers flying above the forest every now and again.

I stopped walking as I saw the edge of the hilltop, it had a beautiful view of the forest but that's not what I came here for. I looked to my left and saw a flowing river and a large bear trying to catch some salmon.

I walked up to the river, earning a growl from the bear.

“It didn't work the first time, Barry, I doubt it'll ever work.” I said the bear. The bear and I used this river as a food and water source, after a few days of sharing the same river I had named the bear Barry. I also knew that it was the same bear every time just by looking at his eyes, there was a scar over his left eye.

Barry roared silently at my comment before catching a large salmon in his mouth. I spun the staff around again while the blade extending from the tip. In a seconds notice, I jabbed the water as I saw a salmon swim under the water.

Raising the staff from the water, I frowned as I saw nothing. I tried again and like the first attempt, nothing. I've spent almost an hour trying at least catch one but alas it was just not my day.

I felt a poke behind me and turned around, coming face to face with Barry as he stood on all fours. He had another salmon in his mouth but dropped it onto the dirt before pushing it a little more with his nose.

I crouched down and hovered my hand over the salmon. I looked at the large bear in front of me as it nodded and with that I took hold of the salmon and straighten back up.

“Thanks.” I said to the bear before he walked away into the forest like he always does. I crouched down again and began cleaning the dirt and saliva off the fish before sticking it onto the blade of my staff.

Twilight was home, everypony in Ponyville knew that much but what they did not know or noticed is that Twilight sneaks away into the Everfree forest ever since her return. Her friend, Fluttershy caught her red handed only three days later.

Twilight then explained her reason in going into the forest and revealed that Twilight was in search of her rescuer. She had so many questions for the man and she hasn't even thanked him for her rescue.

Fluttershy, being one of Twilight's friends, kept it a secret and even helped Twilight in the search. A day later, they had found a lead on his location but had gotten back to town before night came.

Today, they set off towards the supposed direction they could find him in but only managed to escape the clutches of a large brown bear.

“Twilight, I think we lost it.” Fluttershy said to her friend as they both landed safely on the ground. Twilight landed as well but then collapsed onto the dirt before groaning.

“Umm..Twilight?” Fluttershy said as she crouched down next to her friend. Fluttershy wore an outfit no pomy expected her to have, an adventurer's outfit. She had explained to Twilight that she only wears such clothing when she goes out to see exotic butterflies.

Fluttershy’s ears twitched at the sound of another groan from her friend before she lifted her face off the dirt, revealing that she had mouth full of grass before spitting out.

“Ew ew ew.” Twilight said before quickly springing up to her hooves. She quickly dusted the dirt off herself. Fluttershy had straightened up and waited for her friend to finish.

“It's hopeless!” Twilight exclaimed before picking a twig from her hair, a result from her run in with the bear.

“We'll never find him.” Twilight said in a saddened tone. Fluttershy knew this meant Twilight was giving up.

“Twi, I'm sure we'll find him, it's just going to take time to search let alone in a forest.” Fluttershy said to her friend. Twilight sighed before sitting back down onto the dirt before covering her face with her legs. While Twilight was distracted with the feeling of failure, Fluttershy had caught a familiar scent, the scent of cooked salmon.

Looking at Twilight and seeing that she hasn't moved at all, Fluttershy went ahead and headed towards the source of the smell.

Ponies would usually turn and walk the opposite direction but Fluttershy had dealt with animals that ate meat. She even has a bear friend that would help her around the cottage, so the scent of fish wouldn't disgust her.

After a full six minutes of treking through the forest and going up a hill that led towards a cave, she saw a small campfire and the salmon above it.

Squinting her eyes, she saw that the salmon was being held up by a knife. Following the blade she saw that it wasn't knife, a spear and her eyes landed on the owner of the spear.

Twilight's describing of him was spot on. He was what Twilight called a human, he wore a long black sleeved shirt that had a few dirt patches and a pair of black pants that were almost covered in dirt.

Fluttershy then heard singing, his singing and it sounded like a lullaby but she couldn't be too sure. The human then snapped his head towards her direction, Fluttershy moved her head back before being spotted.

After a minute of silence, Fluttershy sneaked away undetected and headed back to Twilight.

What I've done

View Online

I took a deep breath, feeling my skin boil as the fans continued to cycle hot air into the chamber I was held in. The men behind the viewing glass observed as I ignored the burning sensation.

They locked me up inside this room, a room made to simulate different climates such as extreme cold and heat. I sat in the middle of the room, sweating and wanting nothing but a cold drink. Thinking about it, the men outside wouldn't hesitate when I tell them to retrieve something for me, knowing I can and will annihilate them for disobedience.

It has been three years since Bucky and I had stolen the serum, and during those years we have been modifying the formula, but in the long run the Winter Soldier program was a complete sham. The Hydra kill squad had been turned into mindless fighting machines, while Bucky and I were the only ones with full control.

I was still subjected to some experiments, some lethal and some non, but Bucky had by far the worst of it, being brainwashed with codewords to activate his trance.

I knew they did the same to me long ago, but they have forgotten the phrases. So I sat here with legs and arms crossed as the men turned the temperature up to one hundred and fifteen degrees Celsius.

The serum had upped the amount of heat my body could take before any serious harm could occur during such an extreme heatwave. It's astonishing really, if only the major was here to see it.

‘The Major…’ Guilt filled my very being as I was reminded of my actions. It was one of the reasons that the men have forgotten my phrase.

The Sergeant was to blame, and all know this - including the scientists. The Sergeant used the phrase and ordered me to kill the man I could call my father - and through his last dying breath that he not only took me out of my trance but had also said how he was proud of me for my prowess, how guilty he was for taking me from my true family and that he was glad that he could call me his son.

In my arms he passed away, taken away by some power hungry soldier looking for an easy way up the ranks. It was that day that I took vengeance. I had also turned fourteen that day, adding to the pain and turmoil I felt for my actions.

To say how shocked the was to find me out of my trance is putting it mildly, he was paralyzed with absolute fear. He begged for mercy as I broke his arms, he pleaded innocent when I shot his kneecaps, and he screamed in pain as I broke his lower jaw.

A bloody mess was what remained of the man that laid before me, laying in a puddle of his own blood. His rapid breathing made it clear of how much I had done to him, but I wasn't done yet. No; rather, I had just started.

With a knife in hand, I began cutting open his chest. His ribcage soon was fully on display with his barely-functioning organs contained inside. I stood up and placed the sole of my boot on top of his ribcage, before stomping once, twice, and finally, with a powerful third stomp, his ribs shattered and his organs were punctured by the fragments. He laid there in his room, choking from his own misplaced blood flooding the remains of his now-shredded lungs, before finally succumbing to the bitter mercy of death.

From that day forward, any and all evidence leading towards my control phrases were burnt, shredded, or otherwise destroyed. We still honor the Major to this day, and any disrespect towards him would be rewarded with a week in the hole.

I opened my eyes, feeling the tears evaporate from them as I did. I then stood up before walking up to the door while hearing the room shutting down. Opening the door, I was greeted with a guard holding my clothes. Handing me the clothes, he saluted before leaving.

Only putting on the cargo pants, I placed the shirt over my shoulder before walking down the hall. Just yesterday I had turned seventeen, and I show more intelligence than almost anyone of the same age.

Seeing my destination closing in, I also saw two guards stationed in front of the door. They stood in attention once they saw me.

“ Ser (Sir).” They said before stepping aside, allowing me to enter my room. Closing the door behind me, I then turned the lights on and saw my room.

It belonged to the Major before his demise and the others had said that I had deserved the room more than anyone else. Age had gotten to the soldiers and scientists, and with age came wisdom and sympathy.

Seeing the queen sized bed neatly made, I tossed my shirt onto the bed before I headed into the bathroom and took a cold shower. It was after the cold shower that I had flopped onto the bed, tired and exhausted - as well as angry.

‘Time will tell if I deserve to live or die but until then, I must find a way.’ I thought before drifting off to sleep. How I thought that time will decided my fate seemed foolish, but I was right in certain ways.

I sat in front of the fire, holding my staff that had a large salmon embedded on the tip of the blade. The fish hovered over the fire for what felt like hours - but were only minutes - before it was fully cooked and ready to eat.

Sinking my teeth into the center of the salmon, I bit off a large chunk of it before I began to chew. Swallowing before taking another bite, the fish was slowly eaten away, leaving the bones in a pile after almost swallowing them multiple times.

It was after I had eaten that I had felt as if I was being watched and with a quick turn of my head, I caught a glimpse of something pink before it vanished. I did nothing and waited as I started putting out the fire.

Stomping the burning wood with my boot before the fire was fully put out, I grabbed my staff just as I heard someone nearby. Slowly walking towards the opening of the cave, the voices became clearer and I realized I could recognize one of the two voices. The one that I knew was Princess Twilight, but the second voice was an as-of-yet unseen speaker.

I retracted the blade from the staff before walking out, almost bumping into Twilight as I did. She looked surprised to see me while I observed her friend, who's hair is as pink as Twilight's cheeks suddenly were.

Silence grew between us as no one said a word. Growing annoyed by the sudden lack of conversation, I chose to be the first to speak.

“Can I help you two?” I asked, breaking the silence. Twilight shook her head before looking back at me.

“Why did you leave?” Was her response, a question that I didn’t quite expect. Raising a brow at her, I crossed my arms.

“Pardon?” I said in slight confusion at her question.

“You left the palace without any warning. Why?” She asked. Blinking a bit at her question, I found it odd that she traveled to find me only to ask that question.

“I had no reason to stay after seeing you were in good hands, so I left.” I answered her while her friend stood in silence.

“But we could've given you a room in the palace to stay as a way of showing our thanks for aiding me.” She said. This got a questioning look from me, but I shook my head before speaking.

“I can live without a bed. Is this why you're here? To ask me why?” I asked her. Her ears folded down and the rosy tint on her cheeks returned.

“It's just that you left before I could even thank you and-”

“Thanking me is unnecessary.” I said to her. My answer didn't seem to satisfy her as she frowned.

“You may think that saving my life isn't a thing to be thanked for, but I disagree. Without you who knows what would have happen to me.” She said, tears beginning to well up in her eyes. “Just please, let me thank you with a place to stay.” She said.

I would've said no, that I actually liked living out in the woods, but what I said left me internally surprised.

“Alright, just don't start crying on me. I don't like seeing women cry.” I said, while I internally wondered what I had just said, why the hell I did say it. With sniff from her, she nodded before wiping away her tears.

My gaze then turned to look at her friend, whom had yet to be introduced. Unlike Twilight, she had no horn and had a safari outfit adorning her body.

Noticing my gaze, the woman gave let out a quiet ‘Eep' before quickly hiding behind Twilight. The latter looked at her friend before back me.

“I almost forgot about you, Fluttershy.” Twilight admitted. So her name's Fluttershy, I can see where the shy part comes in.

“Fluttershy, this is…” Twilight trailed off before realizing that didn't know my name.

“Ben.” I introduced myself. Fluttershy, still hiding, had given me a small wave. Without another word, I entered the cave again before coming back out only minutes later with my pack.

“So, you two know more of the forest than I do. Where to?” I asked the both of them. Hearing this finally got a response from the shy woman.

“Just follow me and we'll be there in no time.” She said before taking point. With a sigh, I followed behind her while Twilight kept up beside me.

Somehow I feel as if this'll turn out worse than I can imagine. I can only hope it's just a feeling, a terrible, terrible feeling...

“Herr Major. Alles ist vorbereitet und bereit für Ihre Bestellung.” The man beside me informed me. I looked towards the man with a cold stare. I sat in a lonely bench along the road wearing a long ash grey trench coat. Next to me sat a man in his early twenties.

“Ich will das Ziel lebendig und unversehrt.” I ordered him before dismissing him. Chewing the wad of gum in my mouth, I picked up the round device that was given to me. The target building was to my right, a U.S Embassy located right here in the city of London.

On your command, Herr Major.” A soldier said through my earpiece. Standing up from the bench I sat on, I let out a groan as I stretched my arms.

“Go.” Was all I said once I began to casually walk towards the embassy. Just as I walked, a group of men in matching suits had appeared from out an alley and quickly crossed the street and entered the building. The last one that had entered had tapped the wall, leaving a small and unnoticeable device on it. I walked off onto the grass and reached the side wall of the building.

“Comms off, hit it.” I said before quickly turning off the earpiece. Seconds later, the sound of the entire building shutting down greeted my ears. With a chuckle I took out the chewed up gum from my mouth after having to chew for the past few hours and placed it onto the wall before moving back a few feet and seeing the once pink colored gum turn into a sickly green before erupting into a large explosion, making an entrance for me. Once the dust cleared, I took count of four guards holding their weapons up at me.

“Hmph.” Was all that was heard from me before they opened fire. It was as if they had no prior training, they missed every shot but those that came close missed as I moved to the side without any problems.

Once I had them in arms reach, I took hold of the closest guard before throwing him onto another. They seemed to be stunned by the sheer strength I showed, but had only mere moments to so before I had taken a hold of one of the discarded sidearms and quickly disposed of the two guards. A groan caught my attention and I looked to see the two guards on the floor in pain from their collision. I merely pointed the gun before shooting both.

After both their bloodied heads hit the floor, I took notice of my surroundings and saw that I stood in the middle of a long hallway, the echoes of fighting came from the right so I decided to head left down the hall. It wasn't long until I had reached the targeted room.

After ripping the door off its hinges and tossing it to the side, there hid the ambassador. The one whom had crossed me once before.

“Well then, isn't this a happy reunion.” I said walking towards the cowering man before throwing his desk aside.

“Ben, pal, how's… How's it been?” The man asked, carefully choosing his words. “I haven't seen you since that whole Germany fiasco a few years ago.” He said, reaching over to a fallen gun behind him.

“Funny you should mention that.” I said, kicking the gun away from his reach. “It took me almost all of my power to get them in a more reasonable mood after what you did and they no longer want you dead.”

“R-really?” Was all he muttered. I took a firm grip on the flipped over office chair before placing right side up and sitting down on it afterwards.

“Of course, I wouldn't let friend die, now would I?” I said in a calming manner. “But…”

“But? But what?” He said, sounding panicked by my words.

“They wanted something to compensate for your treason.” I said before standing up. “Ever heard of an Eye for Eye?” I said with a grin slowly appearing upon my face, knowing full well what is about to occur.

“What?” His response came just before the face of realization and horror appeared. “No, No, No, No, please.” He pleaded.

“Don't think of it that way.” I said with a smile. “Think of it as a way to finally see your family again.” I told him with a long jagged knife in my hand.

“Please!” He yelled once more as I lifted him by the collar of his vest.

“For what it's worth.” I started before the knife was inches away from his eye. “It's nothing personal, it's just business.” With that the sounds of fighting were drowned by the screams of pain that the man produced as inch after inch of sharp steel entered through his eye socket. After the entire blade disappeared inside of him, I pulled it out and was rewarded by another scream before quickly jabbing the knife into his throat.

“Who am I kidding, it was personal.” I said with a quiet laugh.

With a loud slam, the door behind me flew open as four armed guards swarmed the large office. They were heavily armed than the previous guards.

“Freeze!” One yelled out with much force. Another took a quick glance over my shoulder only to see the dead corpse I held up.

“Or what?” I asked, dropping the corpse after taking my knife back. “You'll shoot me?” I asked once more, turning to look at them.

“I said Freeze, you son of a bitch!” The same man yelled before taking aim. “Or we will use lethal force!” He exclaimed.

“Go ahead, take the first shot.” I said before pointing onto my forehead. “Right here, good sir. Take the shot.” I dared him and he took it. Firing a single bullet out of his rifle and hitting the center of my forehead. I reeled back and fell onto the floor while screaming in pain, hopping they'd take the bait. Two of them walked up to me once I stopped moving and held my breath.

“That was… easy.” Said the closest guard before they looked down at me. From the their reaction, I could tell they saw it. The bullet was pushed out of my forehead just before the wound healed itself. With that I took hold of the closest guard, gripping their neck and standing up, much to the others horror.

“Well I did you give the first shot.” I told them as they raised their weapons and readied to fire. “It wasn't a good one but you tried and that's all that matters.” Saying this, I quickly crushed the neck I held in my hand before tossing the body at them just as they fired, further killing the man with the broken neck despite him already being dead.

After absorbing the bullets for me, the shredded corpse had landed on one of the three other guards. Without giving them a chance, I quickly pulled out a simple .44 magnum revolver.

“My turn.” I said before hearing the click to which was followed by a loud bang from the gun in my hand as it fired.

“Has your kind really advanced that much?” Asked the lavender colored woman beside me. After leaving the cave, Twilight has kept on asking me about my kind while sneaking in a few questions about myself. So to pass the time, I droned on and on about how humanity technological advances and such, fortunately this got Twilight to stop her barrage of questions. There were a few questions from the shy winged woman or mare, whatever but they were, they always seemed to lean towards the natural aspect of Earth. As I've learned from the two mares, it seems Equis and Earth are similar to one another regarding planet habitability but unlike Earth, Equis isn't so technological, stemming from having magic.

“For the tenth time, yes. Now can you please be quiet, I'm starting to regret coming along.” I told her with a side glance. ‘Like I haven't already.’ I thought as I saw Twilight looking at me with an apologetic expression.

“Sorry, it's just… you're the first otherworldly being to have ever set foot on Equis.” She apologized while adding her reasoning for the questions. “It's not something anypony would see every day.”

“Right.” With that said, we continued on the trail towards the town. If what the mare beside said was true about the pegasus’s shyness, the latter didn't seem to show it. Without even noticing, we had exited the forest and into a clearing. From where I stood, a large town could be seen from afar.

“There it is, the town of Ponyville.” Said the pink haired mare. I tried not to laugh from the sheer stupidity of the name and managed to keep it inside. “Sorry Twilight but I've been gone for a while and you know how Angel gets when I'm gone.” She informed Twilight before departing by spreading her wings and taking a leisurely flight away.

“Bye, Fluttershy!” Yelled Twilight at her distant friend. After waving her goodbye, Twilight turned to look at me with her smile faltering slightly into a nervous look. “Um, follow me. My home is just on the other side of town.” She said with a bit of nervousness in her tone.

“Then lead the way.” I said to her and with a nod, she walked passed me. It seemed as if the town was abandoned as no-one was in sight.

“I'm pretty sure a town consists of a large community, no?” I asked the princess in front of me. “Yet I see no one.”

“I-” She began. If she had said anything, I wouldn't have heard it when I felt the wind knocked out me before being shoved away.

“Get away from her, freak.” I heard the assailant say. I simply looked up and was met with another pegasus, a cyan furred mare with a rainbow colored mane and tail. Judging by her attire, I could tell she was the athletic type.

Behind her was Twilight in a state of shock and unable to speak from the sudden surprise. I straightened back up without any injuries.

“Big mistake.” She said. Without a second wasted, she had charged towards me with incredible speed with a readied fist. I simply stood my ground with a deadpanned stare. I felt the cyan furred fist strike me on the left cheek, causing me to look up from the force.

“W-what?” Said the cyan mare in shock at my expression. With an open palm I shoved her away from me. Despite her earlier attempt being a failure, the mare tried again and charged towards me but unlike last time, I caught her fist mere inches away from my face before giving it a hard squeeze. She winced in pain and let out a quiet whine as well before trying again with her other fist. I just moved my head back just as her fist swung by before looking down at her as I applied more pressure to her hand.

“Did you honestly expect that to work?” I asked in calm manner as I squeezed the mare’s hand with more pressure, making her get onto her knees in pain. “Is she a friend, Twilight?” I asked the lavender princess just a few feet away.

“Yes.” She said after a minute of silence. With a nod, I twisted her fist to the left then to the right before letting go, allowing her to regain her now dislocated hand. She yelled in pain as she clutched her hand. This finally got Twilight to move and help her fallen friend. With her horn emitting a lavender hue, Twilight began to heal her friend's hand.

As if by chance or bad luck, I was suddenly lasso'd by someone behind me. I could hear the struggling of another woman trying to pull on the lasso.

“By Celestia, what are you made of?” Came a southern accented woman. I glanced behind me and saw an orange furred mare trying desperately to pull on the rope. I took hold of the rope before giving it a mighty yank to which sent the would be assailant flying before landing just beside the cyan pegasus. She groaned and looked at me with a glare I broke out of the ropes with ease.

“Applejack stop!” Twilight yelled at the orange mare. Despite Twilight’s plea to stop, the orange mare named after a brand of cereal (or an old type of alcoholic beverage) stood up and ran towards me, before delivering a well placed spin kick to the arm and dislocating it as a result. After I realized what she had done, I simply let out an annoyed grunt before grabbing my dislocated arm and snapping it back into place.

Unlike her friend, the orange mare actually showed shock and surprise on what I'd done before frowning again. She got into a fighting stance before charging towards me again.

She tried to spin kick me again again but I quickly reacted grabbed her leg as she was in the air before swing her to the side and letting go, sending her face first onto a wall face.

“Stop hurting my friends!” Yelled Twilight. I looked towards her with a raised brow.

“Your friends attacked me, I was just defending myself.” I said just an orange fist came into view only to be caught. “I could've done worse, you know.” I told the lavender princess before twisting the fist I held and dislocating it like I did the cyan mare.

Like her friend before, Applejack tried another punch but this time was stopped by a lavender aura holding her closed hand in place.

“Applejack, enough!” Twilight yelled before pulling Applejack away towards herself.

“Why are ya trying to defend it, Twi?” Said Applejack with pained groan.

“Yeah, isn't that the creep Shining cuffed a few days ago?” The cyan mare said, still clutching her broken hand. Twilight only frowned at these words.

“What Shining did was accuse Ben for foalnapping me when in actuality, he was the one who saved me.” Twilight said with her arms crossed.

“That thing has a name?” Said the cyan mare.

“That thing kicked your ass.” I replied with smirk. “Not as if there was much to kick.” I added. She growled and tried to stand only to be put down by the same lavender aura that held the other mare.

“Enough, Rainbow!” Yelled Twilight in anger. She then looked at me. “I'm so sorry about my friends, I didn't know they'd react so…” She stopped, trying to think of the word she wanted to say.

“Idiotically? Suicidal?” I guessed the word.

“Violently towards you.” She said after a brief silence. “I had thought my friends had learned to be more trusting towards others that aren't a pony after the whole Zecora ordeal.” She added while giving both friends a cold glare.

“Whatever, just know that if they try anything again, broken bones will be the least of your worries.” I warned them before hearing something behind me again. Looking back I was greeted with an ear to ear grin faced pink mare with a party hat on. I growled at how close she was before pushing her aside.

“Hey!” I heard her yell as she fell. I ignored her and walked away from the scene towards the clearing I had just been in.

“I'm going for a walk out of town. So don't follow me until your friends now what's going on.” I told Twilight before placing my hands inside my pockets and walking away.

=Ω=

As Ben walked away from the group, Twilight couldn't help but let out a very annoyed sigh. Despite her friends doing what they thought was best, they hadn't thought of him being a good guy instead of a creature from the forest.

“Why?” She asked both Rainbow and Applejack as she raised them up to stand. “Why in the name of Celestia did you two do that!?” She yelled.

“I don't know. We couldn't find you anywhere around town and thought that they took you again.” Rainbow said with her shoulders sagged.

“Ah saw Rainbow in pain and acted on impulse.” Applejack said with a shrug.

“Impulse!?” Twilight exclaimed in outrage. “What makes attacking somepony dangerous enough to snap you in two an impulse!?”

“Because he hurt mah friend.” Answered the farmer. Twilight simply rubbed her forehead in frustration. “In mah defense, it's sort of a bad habit of mine.” Added the farmer with a bit of embarrassment in her tone.

Behind the three mares was Pinkie Pie, the town's very own party planner, baker and Element of Laughter. She rubbed her head in a bit of pain before looking towards the direction Ben had left in and narrowed her eyes.

“Geez. Grouchy much.” She said before hopping back onto her hooves. “I know what'll cheer him up!” She exclaimed before skipping away without a care of the world.
