The mane six are faced with a new evil threat and a new spell that will change Equestria forever.
In the time after Starlight Glimmer's reformation, Twilight obtains a strange book that holds the secrets to a new power: FUSION. Meanwhile, a mysterious pony proves to be one of the most powerful villains in all of Equestria. It is up to the mane six to use their new powers to stop this treacherous foe.
Twilight was trotting down the dirt path that lead to Ponyville. She was floating a stack of books using her levitation spell as she walked. "I can't wait to read these books I got from the Castle of the Two Sisters! They'll make an excellent addition to the new library! Especially this one!"
Twilight levitates the book on top of the stack out from the rest of the floating books to her face so she could read the fine text. The text was in Old Pony English, an impossible read for any normal pony today, unless they were around during early Equestrian times, but luckily for Twilight, Old Pony English was like fillygarden alphabet because mostly everything in Twilight's library was Old Pony English. However Twilight's home got destroyed during the Tirek attack and now she has to restock her books in the Crystal Castle that appeared after defeating Tirek.
The book read, from Twilight's translation, "The Fusion Spell." This peaked Twilights interest because she had never heard of a spell called the fusion spell. Twilight is a professional when it comes to spells, but the word fusion was an unknown word to her. Twilight increased her speed tremendously so she could hurry home and read her book. Right when she saw the large crystal castle in view, she wasn't paying attention and slammed into an oncoming pony. Twilight and the mysterious pony both fell on their backs both landing on their wings which caused a sensitive pain to emit from their backs. Both Twilight and the mysterious pony let out a painful "OW!" The mysterious pony's voice was deep, too deep for a normal pony. But there was also a high pitch to the voice as well, like two ponies were talking at the same time. Twilight, still levitating her books rolled over and helped the mysterious pony up. The pony had his face covered with a cloak. The pony forcefully jerked his hooves away from Twilight's. Twilight first thought the pony was Zecora because of the cloak, but her thoughts immediately changed after he spoke again.
"Watch where you're going!" The hooded pony hissed.
The voice sounded demonic, chilling twilight to the bone with every word. She wanted to get away from that pony with every fiber of her being. But her self righteousness let out a scared "sorry" and Twilight bolted. This time, Twilight was more careful of where she looked so she didn't bump into anypony else. Finally, Twilight reached the entrance of the crystal castle and opened the front doors with her magic. "Spike! I have more books for you to put away!" Twilight called out into the castle for his friend. A little green and purple dragon came running from the depth of the crystal castle to Twilight's side and did a salute. "Assistant spike here for duty!" Spike said in a commanding voice. Twilight dropped all but the fusion book into Spike's claws. Spike was able to carry them with ease because he could carry almost every book in the old library at once without a sweat.
"Put those books on the shelves in the library. I'm gonna go read this one." Twilight said.
Spike gave an assuring nod and sped down into the castle, away from twilight's view. Even though it has been a few months since this castle rose from the ground after Tirek's defeat, the very halls seem to impress Twilight with their crystal beauty every time she walks through them. It's also a surprise that spike hadn't eaten the castle yet because crystals are a dragon's favorite meal. Twilight reached her study room and dropped the spell book on a desk at the opposite end of the room. The study room also had shelves where Twilight keeps her favorite books. Twilight was hastily rushing to the desk and opened the book to the first page. Then the next page, then the next page. Before twilight knew it, she had read the book in less than a minute. It's not a surprise that twilight could read a book in less than a minute. She read every single book in her old library five time in just a weekend. Twilight thought about reading the book again until she heard a knock at her study door.
"Twilight, are you in here?" Said the voice on the other side of the door. Twilight used her magic to open the door and noticed the pony was Starlight Glimmer on the other side. Starlight Glimmer is a reformed unicorn that has the same amount of magic power as Twilight. Starlight started out by making an equal society, but The mane 6 foiled her plan, turned her society against her, and drove her out. To take revenge, Starlight used a time traveling spell to go to the past to prevent the sonic rainboom from happening, which caused the mane 6 to prevent getting their cutie marks. Twilight reformed Glimmer into an ally before she could do anymore damage to the timelines and now she resides in the crystal castle with Twilight.
"Man this castle is big! How do you know where to go? I'm already lost." Starlight sighed.
"Starlight, I put signs up just so you don't get lost." Twilight said.
"Where are they? I can't see them anywhere." Starlight complained.
"Have you tried looking up?" Twilight said. Starlight looks up and notices the thousands of signs littering the ceiling showing directions to each room in the castle. "Why don't you put them closer to where I can see them?" Starlight bickers as she walks away. "Does that pony ever do anything other than complain? You try to do something nice and this is what you get." Twilight said to herself, frustratingly gritting her teeth. "Now I've lost interest in reading this again. Maybe one of Pinkie's parties will help me get my inspiration back." Twilight gets up from her reading desk and uses her magic to write a note on a piece of paper:

She puts the note on top of "The Fusion spell" book and walks out of the study room, closing the door. Twilight looks up at the multiple signs she put on the ceiling. They look fine just the way they are. Twilight reassured. Twilight didn't need the signs to know where she was going. It may have been a big castle, bigger than Canterlot maybe, but twilight knew her way around the castle like the back of her hoof. Once Twilight was at the exit of the castle, a huge tremor shook the entire castle causing some crystals to dislodge from the ceiling and hit the floor around Twilight.
That sounded like it came from outside the castle! Twilight thought impatiently. Twilight hurried and swung the entrance doors open with her magic. In front of twilight, towering above her, is the powerful princess Celestia. Celestia's mane flowed with grace as the sun god stood before princess Twilight with a stern, troubling face. She then spoke with a powerful voice, "Twilight! You need to leave Ponyville!"
Twilight was baffled to hear she needed to leave ponyville.
"Wha- What do you mean? What's wrong?" Twilight asked profusely.
"I received a letter from one of my royal guard scouts that a disturbance has fallen upon ponyville. Twilight, have you met anypony unusual lately?" Celestia asked.
"There was one pony with an awfully strange voice wearing a hood. I accidentally bumped into him when I was heading to the castle. Is there something wrong about him?" Twilight shivered.
"You must stay away from that pony!" Celestia demanded.
"If this is a friendship problem, I'm sure I can handle it." Twilight walks past Celestia only to see the same hooded pony right in front of her. All the courage in Twilight's body faded away. This pony had an evil aura to him that friendship wasn't gonna solve.
"Twilight get behind me." Celestia said sternly. Twilight did as she was told and backed up behind princess Celestia. "What do you want?!" Celestia snapped angrily.
"I just want to have a little fun." The hooded pony's voice was like that from a nightmare. "To start, I need to take out all the princesses of equestria. Like I've done before." The pony laughed an evil wicked laugh.
"You will never do anything of the sort nor will you ever do it again!" Celestia charged her horn with magic and blasted the hooded pony with a yellow beam. The hooded pony got hit by the blast and disappeared, leaving his cloak to fall to the ground. Celestia had successfully banished the pony to the moon. However, Celestia still had that disturbing feeling that there was something wrong.
Was that pony even the disturbance I was sensing? I need to make sure. Celestia puzzled. Celestia used her magic to examine the moon for anypony, but what she saw caused her heart to drop. "The pony I banished to the moon is not there!" Celestia alerted.
"What?!" Twilight yelled in uneasy disbelief.
"Looking for me?" The same demonic voice came from behind Twilight and Celestia. Both of the princesses turned around with a quick jolt to see a Pegasus flying above them. He had no mane or tail, and he had an evil expression on his face. Although, the most striking thing about this Pegasus was his colored fur. A normal pony usually has all his or her fur in one color, but this pony's colors cut down the middle of his body. The right side of him is all white, and the left side of him was black from his hooves to his wings. Neither Twilight nor Celestia had seen any pony like him before.
"Did you just- ?"
"Yes I did." The Pegasus answered Celestia before she even asked her question, which caused Celestia's despair to grow even more. "I flew from the moon to the earth in about.." The pony looked down at his front bare forehoof like he was checking a watch. "...Five seconds. I think that's a new record."
"Who are you? How did you do that?!"Twilight yelled in pure confusion.
"My name is Xero. I could take all day to explain how I went from the moon to the earth. And you know what, I'm not gonna do it!" Xero exclaimed.
"Wh- wha-?" celestia stuttered. The feeling of disbelief still on her face.
"I'm not gonna waste time on explaining myself! I'm just gonna do what I initially came here to do!" And with that, Xero punches Celestia square in the face with his white hoof at blinding speed. Celestia's face made contact with the hoof causing a huge white explosion to emit from the pony's hoof that knocks her out cold.
Twilight gazed at Celestia in shock. The feeling of dread overcame her as Princess Celestia, her teacher, was knocked out with a single punch by this Pegasus. Twilight's mind was racing.
This is impossible! Twilight screamed to herself. There's no way Princess Celestia could be defeated so easily by this pony!
"You're next..." Xero whispers right next to twilight's ear with the twin pitched voice. An evil expression of delight came from his face. Twilight screams a bloodcurdling scream and quickly begins the teleportation spell. She knew all she needed to do was think of the place to teleport and she'll be there. She also needed to remember to take Celestia with her. There is no way this pony will leave Celestia alone after I left. Twilight focused all of her magic into this one teleportation spell and closed her eyes. Once she opened them, she was on the streets of Cloudsdale.
It was a good thing she was an Alicorn otherwise she would be falling through the clouds. Only ponies with wings can stand on clouds. Twilight looked around at the floating city in the sky. There were many pegasi flying too and fro, noticeably one cross eyed pony flying upside down, and saw Celestia passed out right next to her with a black eye which was beginning to swell. Good, she managed to teleport with me. Twilight smiled. Twilight was also looking out for any pony who was half colored black and white and was relieved to not see him anywhere in sight. Twilight thought, Why did he let me teleport? Twilight had bigger things she needed to worry about.
Twilight looked at Celestia and began to cry. Salty tears welled up in her eyes as she pictured what had just happened to her all powerful teacher. The only time Twilight saw Celestia in a state like this was when she got defeated by Queen Crysalis, but this was way faster. Celestia was being unresponsive to anything twilight attempted. She tried shaking, using her magic, and also slapping. Her feelings couldn't be contained anymore. She needed help from other ponies. "PLEASE HELP!!" Twilight screamed tears flowing down her face. "CELESTIA'S HURT!!"
In a flash the Wonderbolts arrived at the scene leaving behind their thundercloud stream wearing their Wonderbolt outfits. Rainbow Dash was sleeping on a nearby cloud and heard Twilight's cry. Rainbow had never seen Twilight this distressed before.
"Why are you up here in Cloudsdale, twilight?" Rainbow asked. She looked down at Celestia and her jaw dropped. "And what happened to Celestia!?" Rainbow asked.
"Princess Celestia, please wake up!" Soarin, the leader of the wonderbolts, was shaking Celestia with all of his might but was left with no response. "This is serious, we need to get Celestia to the hospital."
"But the hospital is all the way back in ponyville. And I used up all my magic to get her here," Twilight bawled. Twilight was in no state to teleport again.
"Didn't you know? We have a hospital here too." Rainbow declared. "In fact it's right over there." Rainbow Dash pointed her hoof in the direction of a large two story building made of clouds. The entrance had large glass doors, tall cloud columns and a big Red Cross on the front of the building. A sign on the outside of the building read: "Cloudsdale hospital"
"Excellent!" Soarin' exclaimed and rushed into the building along with the rest of the wonderbolts. After a couple of minutes, four pegasi wearing paramedic uniforms burst out of the doors carrying a large stretcher. All four pegasi carefully picked up Celestia and laid her down on the stretcher and flew her into the Hospital. Twilight wiped the tears from her eyes with her hooves. She was happy that Celestia was in good care, but she was worried about someone else now, Xero.
"So what happened to Celestia?" Rainbow dash repeated her question. Twilight didn't want to think about the traumatic experience she just witnessed, but she had to tell her friends about it.
"I'll tell you what happened once I gather everypony else." Twilight reassured.
After five hours of sneaking around, careful not to get spotted by Xero, the mane 6 had all met up in Sweet Apple Acres. Twilight had already told what happened so far to Pinkie, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rarity, and Rainbow Dash. All the ponies gasp in shock.
"Wait a minute, sugar cube!" Applejack exclaimed. "You're telling me there's a pony who's strong enough to knock out the princess in one go?"
"And Celestia didn't stand a chance?"Fluttershy whimpered.
"AND... He went back from the moon to equestria after he was banished by Celestia?!" Rarity gasps.
"And You say he's just a random O.C from a brony who wanted attention from this fanfic?" Pinkie Pie puzzled.
"Yes that is all correct." Twilight confirmed. Wait, what did Pinkie just say? Twilight thought to herself.
"Y'know, to be honest I kinda find that hard ta believe." Applejack said.
"Believe it!" Rainbow Dash exclaimed. "I saw Celestia myself, along with the wonderbolts. She had an eye that was all swelled up like a mango!"
"I believe you twilight." Fluttershy whispers.
"I'm still not convinced this Zero guy is that big of a deal. I mean why don't we just use the elements of harmony?" Applejack asked.
"I'm right ahead of ya!" Pinkie joyfully giggled pulling the box of elements out of nowhere. Twilight declared, "We need to take out Xero as fast as we can before he causes more trouble." Twilight uses her magic to levitate the elements of harmony onto each pony. The elements glowed with magic power as each were put on their own consecutive pony. "Now let's deal with him like we dealt with Discord," Twilight said. "We turn him into stone." The rest of the mane 6 nod in agreement.
"Turn me into stone, that doesn't sound like it would be fun."
Twilight's heart dropped as she heard the same demonic voice from the Pegasus that took out Celestia emanate from right behind her. Whoever was behind twilight, the rest of the mane 6 saw him. They leaped back facing Twilight and glaring at the monstrosity that was behind her. Twilight did not want to look behind her, but she knew she had to. She started turning her head to the left and looked behind her. There she saw the face of the black and white Pegasus evilly grinning at her. Twilight jumped from fright and teleported near her friends.
"Alright everypony, get your elements ready!" Twilight shouted to her friends. As the six ponies concentrated, white light began to shine from the jewels of the elements. All of the ponies started to float in the air except for twilight whose eyes shone a blinding white light. A giant rainbow appeared from behind the ponies, arched up then down onto Xero. However, unlike discord, Xero seemed to be unresponsive to the rainbow. He didn't scream in agony or in terror. All he did was just stand there hooves crossed with a disappointing look in his face. Then his skin started to harden into stone until all of his body was encased. Now all that remained was a statue of a standing disappointed Pegasus. Twilight and her friends gave sighs of relief. But they were cut when they heard loud cracking sounds coming from the statue. Large cracks appeared one after the other on Xero's statue until all the stone flew off of him leaving him unharmed. The mane 6 were breathless at how the elements were utterly useless against this pony.
"This is your most powerful weapon? What a letdown!" Xero complained. "Now let me show you what I can do." In an instant, Xero roundhouse kicked Twilight in the face, knocking off the element sending it flying and landing on a nearby cloud. Twilight flew past her friends and crashed into Applejack's barn, leaving a giant hole in the side. All the ponies looked at the barn and the giant hole Twilight made from Xero's kick. Fluttershy and Rarity screamed in terror. Applejack was infuriated because Xero, one kicked her friend and two destroyed her barn she just recently raised.
"You're gonna pay for that!" Yelled Applejack.
"How dare you hurt my friend!" Pinkie yelled. Both Pinkie and Applejack charged at Xero at full speed. Both were hoping to slam into him and squish him into apple cider. But then Xero crouched down crossing his front hooves on his chest then quickly whipped them out pointing each hoof at Applejack and Pinkie Pie. Then once Pinkie and Applejack slammed into each of his hooves, a white light emanated from his right hoof and dark energy emanated from his left hoof. Each end of the hooves exploded in black and white energy knocking back Applejack and Pinkie Pie. Rainbow Dash watched as her friends soared through the apple trees knocking them down as they flew through each one. Rainbow noticed that Fluttershy and Rarity were gone. She flew up and examined Sweet Apple Acres for them. They were nowhere in sight. Why did they decide to chicken out now? Rainbow dash thought to herself, puzzled at the fact that Fluttershy and Rarity would just leave their friends. Since Fluttershy and Rarity were nowhere in sight, there was only Rainbow Dash left to face Xero. Rainbow Dash felt the pressure rising on her.
Oh my gosh, All of Equestria is depending on me, Rainbow Dash thought to herself. She knew this would be a big moment that will surely make her famous with the Wonderbolts. However, Rainbow was contemplating with herself so much she didn't notice the white hoof uppercut her face launching her farther into the air. Rainbow Dash shook off the punch and bolted towards Xero at full speed. "Not cool man, I wasn't ready!" Rainbow Dash yelled.
"One should always be ready in a fight." Xero grinned. Rainbow saw how high she soared when she was punched and she thought, this is a perfect distance for my sonic rainboom. Rainbow Dash tucked in her wings to increase her speed and she put one hoof in front of her. A cone formed around her as she was traveling at incredible speed. Finally she broke the sound barrier increasing her speed tremendously causing a rainbow shockwave explosion. All of a sudden, Rainbow was immediately stopped by Xero's black, left, hoof on her face. All the wind and the rainboom traveled past Rainbow and Xero as they fly motionless in the air. "Too slow..." Xero said with a smirk. Rainbow felt her energy leave her as she started to lose consciousness and fall out of the sky. The end seemed near. Xero had won. Or that's what he thought.
Xero looked down at where Rainbow Dash should've been. He had drained her energy so she should not be able to move. Instead, it was just a field of grass with no pony there. Xero then searched the barn he kicked Twilight through only to find it empty. Xero was starting to get angry.
There must be someone left, Xero thought, infuriated. Xero flew to where Pinkie and Applejack should have been. And as usual, those ponies were gone too. Xero was all alone in Sweet Apple Acres.
Now where could they have gone? Xero puzzled. Then a thought hit him, Maybe they went to where I punched that silly "god" of theirs, that shiny castle.
Xero was about to speed off until he felt a familiar presence befall upon him. A distortion in reality caused an open door to appear. The door seemed to lead to an alternate dimension of confusion. Buildings were floating and the sky was purple and black. It would not be a place Xero wanted to go to. Out from the door came an unexpected creature who closed the door once it was out. He looked like he had gotten out of a shower with a shower cap and drying himself with a towel. The creature had an elongated body like a snake, a face like a goat with a stubby long goatee, an antler and a horn on it's head, a bat wing and a Pegasus wing on its back, a lion paw and a griffon claw for hands, and and a dragon claw and a hoof as feet. The creature noticed Xero and threw the towel and shower cap away.
"Why hello there Xero," the creature said, he had a casual tone to his voice. "Long time no see. It's been years since I saw you, until I got turned to stone."
"It's ok master Discord, I have taken care of their God and the 6 ponies that have troubled you so much." Xero proclaims
"Oh yeah, about that..." Discord said troubled. "I can't believe I forgot about you. Those ponies are actually my friends. Well, they forced me to become their friends. But Fluttershy is my true friend." Discord snaps his fingers and a table and two chairs pop out of nowhere and float in midair. Discord sits in the chair opposite of Xero. "I'm retired from being evil now. Have a seat and enjoy the scenery." Discord motions to the chair across from him.
"There's no way I'm obeying you, imposter!" Xero knocks the floating chair away from the table. The chair falls to the ground and smashes to splinters. Xero then slams his hoof on the table, breaking the table in half. The table also falls to the ground breaking into millions of wooden pieces. Xero charges at Discord, who is still sitting in his chair. Discord teleports out of it before Xero touches him. Xero proceeds to destroy the chair with his explosive punch, vaporizing it. Xero spotted Discord floating above the barn and chased him yelling "Imposter!"

Meanwhile in the castle of Harmony, Luna had teleported the mane 6 to Twilight's study room. Only Fluttershy and Rarity were unharmed while the rest had severe wounds. Rainbow Dash, Applejack, and Pinkie Pie were unconscious and still wearing their elements. Twilight was badly injured, but she was still standing.
"What were you thinking? You should've just run!" Luna yelled at the ponies still conscious. "It was lucky that I was able to teleport you all, but that has left my magic drained." Twilight, Fluttershy and Rarity gasped at the state their beaten friends were in.
"Rainbow Dash!" Fluttershy screamed.
"Pinkie Pie!" Twilight screamed.
"Applejack!!" Rarity squealed. All three of the screaming ponies were having tears flowing down their faces. They were about to rush over to their friends when Luna steps in between them.
"They need to rest, I'm sure they will be fine. Let's focus on the matter at hand." Luna said. Luna also looked like she was on the verge of tears. Twilight, Fluttershy and Rarity looked at their friends behind Luna still weeping. The three ponies wiped their tears with their hooves. Twilight felt her sore cheek where Xero had kicked her and noticed her element was missing.
"Where's my element?!" Twilight gasped. Twilight began to panic and search all over her study room for her element of harmony.
"I only teleported you ponies, so if it fell off then it still would be where you dropped it." Luna stated. Twilight sighed, she knew that the elements would not make a difference now.
"What are we going to do?" Fluttershy quivered still wearing her element.
"We have nothing that can defeat him." Rarity said also wearing her element.
"Actually, there is one thing." Twilight declared. Fluttershy, Rarity, and Luna looked at Twilight in confusion.
"What do you have in mind Twilight?" Luna asked.
"I have a book that will solve our situation!" Twilight answered. Luna was curious.
What kind of book would this be? Luna thought. Twilight remembered the book she left on her desk. The piece of paper was still on the front. Twilight levitated the book, took off the paper on the front, crumbled it, and threw it in the trash bin next to her desk.
"This is a book called 'The Fusion Spell' that I found in the Castle of the Two Sisters. It says here that we can combine ponies. Maybe they will be more powerful than a normal pony." Twilight said. Luna's eyes widen and she gasped. She remembers that book.
"Twilight be serious! All of Equestria is in danger! And also, why have you taken that book out of the castle?!" Luna yelled. "Neither I nor Celestia had used that spell before! It may lead to drastic consequences!"
"There's nothing else we can do!" Twilight argued back putting down the book on the stand. "The Elements didn't work! We have to try it! Besides, what would you do?!"
"I would have destroyed that book when I had the chance!" Luna glowed with magic energy. "In fact, I might just destroy it now!!" Luna's horn charged with magic, gathering immense power. Twilight was frightened, her best chance at saving Equestria is about to be destroyed. Luna fired a magic beam in the direction of the Fusion spell book, but Twilight went in front of the beam blocking the attack with all of her force screaming
"NOOOO!!!!"
Fluttershy and Rarity screamed as their friend was hit with a full on magic attack without using her shield. Luna was also surprised, the magic left her body leaving only natural fur on her coat and mane. Twilight had managed to take on the blast full force but she was still standing. Twilight was gritting her teeth from the pain.
"I will not let you destroy the savior of Equestria!!" Twilight shouted at Luna. Twilight was full of anger and also full of sadness. She couldn't contain her tears and cried for a few minutes. Her panting was immense. Twilight was trying not to collapse.
Luna sighed "I admire your persistence, but we have never tried fusions before. Do you even know how to work the spell?" Twilight was saving her magic for this particular moment.
Twilight was breathing heavily. "I think so, first I have to select one pony then select a second pony."
"Just be careful Twilight. Be prepared for anything." Luna warned. Twilight turned her head to Fluttershy and Rarity. "Fluttershy? Rarity? Do you want to be fused?"
"I don't think we should be fused. Is there any other option?" Rarity said with discomfort.
"I agree with Rarity." Fluttershy said. "We should just run away."
"Xero will surely find us since he can move way faster than Rainbow Dash." Twilight said exhausted. "Besides, there's nothing stopping Xero from coming after us now. We should hurry up!" Fluttershy and Rarity clearly did not want to be fused, but they knew there was no other choice. Twilight was determined to save Equestria.
Both Rarity and Fluttershy look at each other with worried faces. Then they look back at Twilight with confident faces and nod. Twilight begins by re-reading the contents of the spell book. Then she puts down the book and her horn begins to glow with a magenta hue.
"Wait!" Rarity screams. "I just need to fix my mane." Rarity levitates a comb and brushes her mane delicately.
"Where did you get that?" Twilight wondered.
"I always keep an emergency brush with me." Rarity claims finishing her hair. Rarity puts down the brush and all of her emergency equipment onto the floor. Twilight then fires a magic chain from her horn that wraps around Fluttershy. Then Twilight shoots another magic chain at Rarity that wraps around her. The chains connect between the two ponies and starts to pull them together. The sudden jolt scared Fluttershy who tries to pull away whimpering.
"It's ok Fluttershy, you'll be fine. Both of you will." Twilight said to reassure Fluttershy. Fluttershy relaxed herself after hearing Twilight and continued to move with the chains.
Fluttershy and Rarity begin to phase through each other until there was an outline of one pony with characteristics of both Fluttershy and Rarity. The color of the fusion's fur shifted from white to lightish yellow until it balanced out. It's cutie marks begin to circle around one another until they came to a stop. The mane and tail flowed like Fluttershy's and ended in Rarity's. The pony had a horn and wings, making her an Alicorn.
"How do I look?" The fusion of Fluttershy and Rarity said nervously.
"You look magnificent." Luna complimented.
"Oh, Good." The fusion said calmly.
"What would you like us to call you?" Twilight wondered. "How about Flare? Since you are both Fluttershy AND Rarity, Flare would be a fitting name."
"I like Flare... It suits me." Flare agreed. Twilight gave a nod of approval, smiled, and collapsed from exhaustion.
In Twilight's dream, she heard an unidentifiable voice.
"Twilight..." The voice said.
"Luna? Is that you?" Twilight yelled in her dream, but her yell was hushed by a louder voice.
"It's ok." Said the calm mysterious voice echoing through Twilight's mind. "I'm going to find the solution to your problem." The voice sounded like Flare.
Was Flare talking telepathically? Is this a power that fused ponies have? I need to write this down, Twilight thought. Twilight looked around and noticed Flare was walking towards her.
"I'm going to sympathize with Xero. But first, I need your help." Flare said. "Do you know why Xero is here?"
"No, I just met him." Twilight responded.
"False, you heard his motivation, now tell me what it is." Flare's size grew immensely. Twilight jumped at the giant Flare that seemed to be 700 times bigger than her normal size. Flare's eyes seemed to pierce Twilight's soul.
"He said something about taking out the princesses." Twilight stuttered, scared at the giant Flare.
"That's all I need to know. Thank you, Twilight." Flare said returning to normal size smiling.
"Wait! When you go make sure the book is safe!" Twilight yelled out to the remainder of Flare. Flare had exited Twilight's mind and said to Luna
"I'm going to face Xero, but if I don't win, make sure everypony is safe." Flare trotted towards the door and gave Luna a final message. "And stay away from that book," Flare gave Luna an aggressive side glance that shook Luna to her core. With smooth grace, Flare flew out of the castle, aided by the signs hung up on the ceiling.
Thanks Twilight, for the signs, Flare thought happily.
Flare flew past the city of ponyville, testing out her new fused wings. Using her knowledge of Ponyville, she followed the road leading to Sweet Apple Acres and noticed Xero chasing Discord. Discord seemed to be dodging Xero by teleporting out of Xero's reach. Discord then happened to teleport right next to Flare. "Oh and who might you be?" Discord wondered rubbing his finger underneath flare's chin. He saw her cutie mark, noticing the pink butterfly and snapped his hands away.
"Fluttershy?!" He exclaimed in confusion.
"My name is Flare." Flare answered looking at Discord, weirded out.
"Whats wrong Discord? The real you could defeat me easily!" Xero yells charging at Discord. Discord turns around and looks at Xero with a worried expression. Then Discord puts his hands together in a begging motion facing Flare.
"Please, I beg of you! Make Xero come to his Senses!" Discord pleaded. "I've tried all of your tactics to friendship, but they are not working."
"I will try my best," Flare agreed. Discord nodded and wished Flare good luck and teleported away. Flare was now alone with Xero, who was still looking for Discord. He was flying to and fro from every single tree. Flare decided she needed to confront Xero. She shouted at the top of her lungs, "Xero! The one you are facing is right here!"
Xero heard Flare's shout and sped over to her.
"Well look at you, you sure are pretty." Xero flirted. "You don't look like a pony I have seen before." Xero began to put his hoof around Flare, but flare hit it away from her.
"Get away from me! You don't know what i can do! I will defeat you!" Flare stuttered. She was scared she did not know what Xero would do to her.
"Defeat me? Come on, i beat your god and the mane 6. There's nothing you can do to me. I am god now." Xero grinned.
"No." Flare whispered. Flare felt a spark of courage ignite inside her.
"I'm sorry, what was that?" Xero taunted.
"You will never be our God, nor will you ever be anything after what you've done!" Flare gritted her teeth. Her spark became a raging fire of hatred.
Twilight, i sure hope your fusion thing was a good idea, Flare thought. "I heard you like punching in the face"
"Why yes i do, but why would i punch you?" Xero questioned.
"Because of this," Flare bunched up her hoof and smacked Xero in the face with all of her might. The hit didn't seem to do anything, less than scratch Xero in the face.
"You call that a hit?" Xero taunted. "This is a hit." Flare prepared herself by putting up a magic shield, but Xero managed to shatter the shield, punching flare in the chest. Flare reeled back from the impact, clutching her chest as she fell through the numerous apple trees in Sweet Apple Acres. After a minute, Flare flew back into the sky towards Xero. Xero was dumbfounded. "How did you survive a hit like that?!" Xero exclaimed, confused. "You shouid be dead!"
Flare didn't say a word, she only flew closer to Xero. "What are you?" Xero became frightened, he had never faced anything that could survive his punches.
"My name is Flare, I am the fusion of Fluttershy and Rarity." Flare stated sternly still moving closer to Xero.
"Well how about that, i'm a fusion too. So its fusion vs. fusion, huh?" Xero mocked. Physical attacks won't work on him, Flare thought. I'll have to try some magic.
Flare gathered her powers into her horn, causing it to glow bright pink. A bright pink spear made of magic energy appeared in Flare's hooves. The spear felt solid enough to be used as a weapon. Suddenly, a burst of adrenaline hit Flare and she charged foreword, pointing the spear at Xero. Flare made an array of stab attacks with the spear, which Xero easily dodged by sidestepping at blinding speed. After making one last stab charge, Xero grabbed the spear away from Flare and snapped it in half. The spear desintegrated in pink energy floating to the ground.
Xero quickly flew towards Flare with a hoof ready to punch. Flare used her horn again to quickly make a giant magic pink shield appear on her hoof. She got behind the shield ready for Xero's punch. Xero saw the pink shield and felt confident he could break it. He stored up all his energy and blasted his hoof onto the shield with intense force, But the shield did not break. Instead, the shield rebounded against Xero, creating a shockwave that blew Xero back with the same amount of force Xero hit the shield with. To Flare's suprise, the shield held. This shield could also make a decent weapon, flare thought.
Flare flew into the air towards Xero with incredible speed. Xero was still being reeled back from the shockwave caused by the shield. Once Flare caught up with Xero, she removed the shield from her hoof and held it above her head. Flare then slammed the round side of the shield onto Xero's head. The Impact made a loud "CLANG!" Which caused Xero's ascent to stop. The shield desintegrated on top of Xero's head as he remained in the air, dazed. Flare felt this as a good opportunity to finish him off. Flare encased her hoof in a pink aura using her horn magic and charged at Xero, decking him in the face. This proved to be very effective because Xero was sent straight to the ground in no less than a second. Flare flew to Xero's unconscious twitching body. She landed next to his body and wondered why it felt too easy. Flare was just ready to phase into Xero's head until his eyes shot open and he rushed to his hoofs.
"I'm not going down that easily!" Xero declared. Flare made her shield and spear appear using her magic. "You haven't seen my ultimate power!" Xero laughed at Flare. "Witness the full power of a fusion!"
First, Xero stood on his hind legs and put his hooves together. The air around Xero grew dense causing dust and small rocks to float and circle around him. Xero's bone structure shifted from being pony like to being human like. In addition, his bald head began to sprout multiple hairs that grew rapidly. The mane seemed to extend down to his tail. His hair color was the same as his body, white on left and black on right. His hair seemed to spread out around his head like a porcupine because of the density. Xero then put his hooves on his sides as he was standing upright, his hair dropping from their suspended position and hanged from Xeros's scalp. His eye color also changed to a dark red which were looking directly at Flare with intensity. He had an emotionless expression on his face. "You're the first to see me like this." Xero stated. "But you will be the last." Xero's voice seemed to change, it wasn't demonic anymore. Instead, it sounded more clearer and like one pony talking rather than two talking at the same time. Xero's hair waved in the wind.
Xero moved so fast it looked like he teleported. He appeared right in front of Flare and slightly tapped her shield with his hoof. His hoof went right through the shield like it was nothing.
This is hopeless, Flare thought, he's more powerful and I can't fight him. My magic is useless and I have no physical strength. Flare made her spear disappear and bowed to Xero. This was the last thing Flare would ever want to do, but she knew she had no choice. "Don't give up Flare!" A voice shouted from far away. The voice had a childish Texan accent. Flare knew there was only one pony with that voice: Applebloom! Flare saw that Applebloom and many other ponies were standing on the hillside at the entrance of Sweet Apple Acres cheering for Flare. It looked like everyone in ponyville was there. Everyone was there, the Wonderbolts, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and even Luna.
"Luna told us everything and we have come to help! So don't give up!" Applebloom yelled at Flare. "I'm sure you can solve this with friendship!" Xero turned to look at the ponies that appeared on the hill.
"Friendship?" Xero contemplated, "Do you really think you can beat me with friendship?" With incredible speed he placed his hoof on Flare's horn and ripped the horn off. A hole took the place of Flare's horn. The horn dissipated as it fell to the ground. Flare watched in shock as her magical powers left her. Flare made a horrible painful scream. "Now you have nothing!" Xero snarled.
All the ponies gasped in surprise at the act Xero just made. All of them began to charge at Xero stampeding Sweet Apple Acres. All except Luna, who was trying to stop them. Xero put his white hoof in front of the angry pony mob and created a massive explosion in the direction of the stampede. Luckily, no pony got hurt, no thanks to Luna, who had teleported everypony out from the blasts reach. The blast had traveled all the way down and even hit Canterlot castle.
"Stay where you are! I'm going to talk to him!" Luna's voice boomed as she yelled to the ponies. Luna walked up to Xero. "Please, we are at your mercy. What are your demands?" Xero then proceeded to hit Luna sending her tumbling to the ground.
"That's all I've ever wanted. To see you suffer," Xero laughed. Flare went deep inside her inner consciousness. Inside were two ponies: Fluttershy and Rarity. All she needed was to find something that connected both of them. She knew friendship was the only solution. Flare's eyes opened in an intense rage. Her eyes were glowing with a red fire. She ignored the pain her missing horn brought and got up from the ground. Flare gritted her teeth and yelled at the top of her lungs, "XERO!!!!!!"
Flare's body became enveloped in a red flame of magic. The energy burst caused Xero to be propelled back onto a giant rock. Flare's mane and tail were a raging inferno of red magic. Her eyes glowed pinkish-red with no pupils. Flares body grew in size and her horn quickly grew back, extending longer than the first one. Flare was about the size of Celestia. Xero got off the rock and attempted to punch Flare, but his arm got caught on the magic enveloping her. His Hoof burned in intense pain and he tried to pull it out of Flare's magic grasp. The Magic flames traveled onto Xero and covered his whole body. All Xero felt was pain, he couldn't move. He felt a presence above him, Flare was standing above him, pinning him to the ground. Flare put her horn onto Xero's head.
Xero felt his mind go ballistic, he screamed a painful scream as Flare poured her magic into he head. In an instant, Xero was out cold. Flare reverted back to her normal form and aimed her horn away from Xero's head with caution. Flare gained interesting knowledge about Xero. Xero certainly was a fusion, but it was Discord that fused him. So, since Discord caused the problem, he's going to fix it, flare intended.
"Discord!" Yelled flare. In an instant, Discord popped out of nowhere.
"Yeeeessss?" Discord said gleefully.
"I understand why he's going after the princesses. He was following your orders. I saw what you did to this poor pony. Now change him back!" Flare snarled at Discord.
"Even though he was my strongest creation he certainly wasn't the brightest. I'll change him back for you." Discord said. Discord grabbed the still unconscious Xero's front hooves with each paw/claw and lifted him off the ground. He started to pull on them until Xero was splitting in half. Two ponies were being phased apart from Xero, an all black pony and an all white pony both wrapped in chains. Discord pulls out scissors coated in magic and cuts the chains bonding the fusion. The chains that were wrapped around the two ponies disintegrate. The two pony's bodies hang limp from Discord's hands. Discord lays the two ponies on the grass. Flare walks up to Discord.
"Could you change me back too? This is starting to feel uncomfortable" Flare asked. Discord agreed and separated Flare as well. Fluttershy and Rarity were both happy to not be stuck together anymore. The white pony suddenly woke up,
"HIYAAAAAA!" The pony yelled doing a karate pose. Fluttershy and Rarity almost died from shock. Both of them screamed and then Fluttershy fainted. The white pony looked first at the two mares. Then he saw the black pony next to him. And finally he saw Discord. "What's going on? Where am I?" The pony asked. Rarity walked up to the pony and slapped him in the face.
"How dare you startle us like that! And how dare you hurt Twilight!" She slapped him again, "And Applejack!" And again, "And Pinkie Pie!" The pony was confused.
"Wait! I don't know who those ponies are! Who are you? And Why are you hitting me?!" The pony splurged out while he was being slapped. "Please, Stop! Stop!" Fluttershy had awoken and went in between the pony and Rarity.
"No, Don't hurt him anymore! Let's see what he has to say." Fluttershy pleaded. Rarity stopped slapping the pony and backed away.
"Why should he be different? He's the same pony!" Rarity exclaimed.
"He doesn't bring any harm to us anymore! He's just a helpless Pegasus now." Fluttershy went up to the pony and said to his face, "are you alright?"
"Yes, thank you. That pony sure has some mental problems, Attacking someone for no reason." The pony snarled. "Anyway, who are you? I didn't quite catch your name in the slapping."
"I'm Fluttershy, and what's your name?" Fluttershy responded. The pony grabbed his head and concentrated very hard.
"Who am I? Who am I?" The pony said to himself. "Hey, where's Doom?" Fluttershy and Rarity looked confused.
"Doom?" Asked both the mares.
"Wait, don't you mean the other pony?" Rarity wondered. "The all black one? Speaking of which, where is he?" Rarity and Fluttershy looked around to see that the black pony had vanished. He was right there a minute ago so he couldn't have gotten far.
"Yes! I remember now!" The white pony exclaimed.
"What?" Both Fluttershy and Rarity ask.
"My name is Blast, nice to meet you!" The pony said gladly.
