The Awakening

The shadows leaked through the cracks of the ice covered tundra as the head of the former crystal king came out along with the blackened smoke that surrounded his entire figure with the exception of his head. It felt like a miracle to be out of his so called 'unescapable' prison. King Sombra was free and that was all he truly cared about for a moment. Even in the terribly cold condition in his location was somewhat refreshing for even him.

The King of Shadows ended his brief relaxation once he remembered why he broke out in the first place; to in slave an unsuspecting race. He didn't care about that weak Crystal Empire that the mane six saved from his grasp. Heck, he could care less about the whole pony population in the first place. No. Instead, he wanted to conquer a place other worldly, and he knew exactly how to do it.

Sombra used his curved, shaded red horn to materialize an old spellbook that he was able to sneak out of the crystal castle before the Elements of Harmony sent him back to his prison in the ice. The demented unicorn king couldn't help but smirk at how clever he was for coming up with a plan as smart as his. Eagerly, King Sombra flipped through the pages of the book until he came across the spell he was looking for.

The spell was as old as the dark unicorn himself, if not older. The writing was in a different language, but King Sombra had studied all sorts of different cultures and languages from his time as Star Swirl's student. The spell would do the trick for sure. It had to. There was no other spell in the book that would take Sombra to another dimension.

As great as it will feel to be the tyrant of a place that nopony could ever think of, there was true meaning to the king's motives; revenge. Oh, how he loved the idea of getting revenge on the mane six for sending him back to his cursed jail, or getting rid of Celestia and that insignificant niece of hers, Cadence. However, there was one pony who gave him a bad taste in his mouth the most; Luna.

Rage boiled up in the unicorn as he remembered on how she was the one who sent him to his imprisonment in the first place. She was the one who overtook him with his own powers. She was the one who saved his entire empire the first time and kept it hidden from him for a thousand years! She was the one who had to suffer the most.

He had a brilliant plan to get his revenge on all of those foolish ponies. So brilliant, he thought of himself as the greatest mastermind in history! Even greater than Star Swirl himself! His plan was as simple as it could get: He would take over a world that was inhabited by creatures that were not ever heard of in Equestria, in slave them, bring them to Equestria, destroy the entire population, then create the strongest empire so fierce, no one in their right minds would even think about messing with it.

Putting his fantasies aside, Sombra turned his attention back to the spell in the spellbook that had yet to be read. Taking a deep breath, Sombra prepared his magic for the spell as it read:

"With the power of the dark and ancient lords,

We unleash this power so greatly stored.

For now is the time

We enter a portal to another and new world.

In the name of evil and darkness we enter through

And for purposes unknown we make our due,"

Almost instantly, the king felt his horn shoot out an incredibly strong beam of black magic as it formed what looked to be some kind of black hole! Sombra smiled to himself. The spell had worked! Then the dark king remembered; he had to retrieve the things that would lead to yet another defeat, so he cast a spell that created a strange mist to collect his prizes. Than with no hesitation, the stallion plunged himself into the abyss as his black smoke for a body followed behind him.

Meanwhile in Canterlot, the blue alicorn princess shot up in her bed in a cold sweat, "It was just a bad dream. It is nothing you should worry about, Luna. You are safe," Princess Luna was breathing heavily as she scanned her chamber to be sure there was nopony in it. Finally reassured that she was alone, the Princess of the Night laid her head back on her pillow to go back to sleep.

Where It All Begins

Luna awoke the next morning in low spirits. She was deep in thought of the dream she had the previous night. She couldn't help but feel as though her dream was some sort of vision or message. It was stuck in the alicorn's mind so much, that the princess didn't notice that her sister was even speaking to her.

"Luna, are you alright? Can you hear me, Luna?" Celestia was trying desperately to awake her younger sister from her thoughts. Finally, after about the tenth time of the sun princess speaking to her, Luna noticed her elder sister, "Terribly sorry, sister. I was just thinking about a strange dream I experienced last night." Luna apologized somewhat distractly. Her sister's demeanor quickly caught Celestia's attention; she knew that her little sister would have strange dreams. After all, Luna was the Princess of the Night for crying out loud! But Celestia had never seen Luna so bothered by a dream.

"Little sister, what troubles you? You seem so off. I haven't seen you in this much distress in a very long time," Princess Celestia couldn't help but feel a brief moment of guilt as she remembered Luna's resentment towards her which caused her to turn into the demon known as Nightmare Moon.

As for Luna, she knew she was going to have to tell the ruler of Equestria at some point, but she had hoped that she would have figured out the meaning of the dream before she told her older and wiser sister. But she knew that if there was anypony aside from herself who could figure the meaning out, it was Celestia. Perhaps if she did tell her sister than Celestia would put Luna's worries at ease. She decided to tell Celestia, "Sister, this dream I had was very....nerving," and from there, Luna told Celestia everything she could remember from her dream. She spoke of black smoke, a black portal, snow and ice, and of a stallion she couldn't recognise.

Celestia listened carefully to the moon princess's tale as she tried to come up with an explanation for the dream. However, what really caught the sun princess's attention was the 'black smoke' and the 'snow and ice' Luna spoke of. There was only one pony she knew of who could conjure up black smoke and would be in a location with snow and ice. The princess felt an unpleasant chill run down her spine as she knew who her sister was talking about, "But he is imprisoned! He couldn't have escaped even if he wished to." thought the sun goddess. Then it hit Celestia like a bullet, "Unless..."

"Guards!" Celestia knew that she had to get in contact with Cadence and Shining Armor as quickly as she could. At her call, two Canterlot guards rushed to the two immortals in a flash. Without waiting for them to ask, Celestia gave them their orders, "Get into contact with Princess Cadence and Prince Shining Armor. Tell them to check their library for a book known as 'Dark Spells and Enchantments' immediately!" at her command, the two stallions galloped off.

Luna was stunned; she had never seen her sister so worked up over a dream. All the blue alicorn's hopes of being reassured went away instantly. She now knew that her dream was very important and she wanted to understand why, "What is the matter, dear sister? Is my dream...more?" at the blue princess's words, Celestia turned with a concerned expression plastered on her face as she answered, "I hope it is nothing, Luna. But if the book is what I fear it is, well, it will not be a good thing,"

A week later, Luna was still anxious for any word from the Crystal Empire. She was very confused about everything that was happening around her; Celestia was giving the guards orders non-stop, Celestia was looking frantically through all of her spellbooks, and every night Luna found it was getting harder and harder to raise the moon. What was even worse, Celestia received an urgent letter from Twilight Sparkle, informing her that the Elements of Harmony were missing! All except for the Element of Kindness.

All of these events hadn't gone un-noticed by the public; much of Equestria had gone into a panic upon hearing that most of the elements were missing. It was all getting so overwhelming for Luna as she grew more and more impatient with her niece. She was tired of seeing everypony in Canterlot so frightened and confused. It was all starting to get to her. Just when the alicorn princess was ready to call it quits however, a letter from the Empire arrived.

Once the princess heard of this news, she bolted to the throne room where she knew Celestia and the letter would be. At last, Luna arrived to her destination, but was met with not only her sister with the letter, but with the six mares who wield the Elements of Harmony. But instead of being greeted warmly by the young ponies, they held their heads in despair. Luna also noticed that their coats were pailer instead of them being well kept and colorful.

This was the case with all of the mane six but with the exception of the one mare who wore her element; Fluttershy. The yellow pegasus herself looked terrified, but she still looked healthier than her fellow elements. The Princess of the Night felt awful for all of the mares who saved her six years ago. They were all very nice to her even when she had tried to destroy them.

Turning away from the six mares, Luna turned to her sister on her throne to be met with an upset Celestia, looking down at her with tired eyes. With a jolt of realization, Luna felt petrified to the spot as her sister announced, "The book is gone. He took it. King Sombra." Celestia used her magic to close all the curtains in the room, shut and lock the throne room doors, and then materialized what looked to be a floating table that gave off an eerie arora to light up the middle of the room.

Princess Celestia didn't have to give an order as everypony in the space made their way to the table. Luna was the last to get there. Her heart was pounding so hard, she thought it was going to burst out of her chest. She couldn't believe that Sombra was back. She didn't want to believe it. Oh how she wanted all of it to be a nightmare, but she knew it wasn't.

Once everyone was gathered at the table, Celestia began to manifest images as she spoke, "Sombra has somehow escaped from his prison and has gone with this book," an image of an old looking spellbook appeared. Luna's eyes widened as she recognized it instantly. She stayed silent however so her sister could finish her speaking, "I believe he used this book to escape and go to another dimension," at those words, not only Luna, but the rest of the mares all gasped in awe.

"Another dimension? But, I thought the magic mirror and that transporter I built were the only ways anypony could travel to dimensions!" Twilight's voice was weak and very frail, it was hard for anypony even close to her to hear. Rarity's voice was equally weak as she spoke next, "I must agree. I thought there was no other way to travel dimensions. Was there a spell in that spellbook that took Sombra to a dimension?" "Yeah, ya'll reckon there's a spell that can do that." Applejack asked.

Celestia nodded her head as she continues on with the next image. This time was an image of a spell, "Sombra used this spell to get to a new dimension. The reason why you couldn't use this instead of the mirror Twilight was because it was suppose to never be cast or used ever again. If it was, than it could rip the fabric between dimensions and bring terrible misfortune to one of them. In this case, our dimension got lucky."

Luna could not believe what her ears were telling her; How were they lucky? The Elements of Harmony were missing except for kindness, Equestria was getting more and more scared, and she was losing control over the moon. By the way everything was going, they were anything but lucky, "Sister, what about the Elements of Harmony? How do we plan to defeat Sombra without them?" the moon princess was getting tired of sitting around doing nothing. She wanted to get back the elements and restore the harmony of her kingdom.

Rainbow dash couldn't agree with Luna more. She spoke in a tone that was determined, but her voice came out like a whisper, "Yeah, let's go and get that no good dark unicorn for a king." Rainbow dash attempted to zoom around the room at top speed, but instead found that she was too tired and weak to even lift up her wings. Celestia looked at the rainbow haired pegasus in sympathy, "Stop. You are weak,"

As the princess said this, she changed the image, which was of all the mane six wearing their respected elements, "You are all connected to your elements by spirit, heart, and soul. If anything were to happen to the elements, it would affect you. So, that would mean that if the elements were to be destroyed..." "We would be destroyed!?" Fluttershy blurted out of the blue.

With a tragic frown, the Princess of the Sun nodded her head. Everypony gasped at this, "No! That can't be true! I have so much to live for!" Pinkie Pie's mane was deflated and had tears coming out of her eyes at this terrible discovery. Luna watched in complete sadness as the mane six all crowded around each other, silently letting the tears flow down their faces as they gave up on the last of their hope.

Then Luna became determined; she was not going to lose hope that easy. The mane six had went through so much to help her, so now it was her time to repay them, "This is NOT over!" Luna slammed her front hooves on the table, causing it to shake and have everyone turn to her in surprise, "We can't just give up! Sister, I was the one who had the dream, so I should be the one to go after him and get back the elements!"

Celestia was in complete shock at her sister's outburst, but she had to admit that Luna had a valid point; Luna was connected to night and nightmares, and Sombra was the one who studied the night, black magic, and darkness. Perhaps fighting fire with fire would give them an advantage. As good as a plan as it was, Celestia was not going to let her younger sibling go to a new world alone, "Very well, Luna. But you are not doing this alone. You will need all the help you can get, which means that you will need the only element that is available to us," the white alicorn spoke.

At this, everypony turned to Fluttershy, who was dumbfounded by the statement, "Oh gosh, I-I don't know. I'm not strong or brave like any of you. What if I can't help?" Fluttershy hid behind her mane, "Don't worry, my little pony. You are much stronger than what you think. I have the up-most confidence in you," Celestia spoke in an encouraging and kind voice. Fluttershy then felt the hooves of her friends rap around her shoulder, "We all do," Twilight smiled at her pegasus friend as all six friends embraced in a tight hug.

From a few feet away, Luna couldn't help but crack a smile at the group. They were all so close it didn't even feel like they were all friends, but sisters. They were always there for each other no matter what. Luna was not about to have that kind of love jeopardized by a monster. No matter what.

A New World

The next day, Luna awoke early for the spell. She had her things packed and she was waiting in the throne room alongside her sister for the mane six to arrive. Though they all agreed that Fluttershy should accompany Luna to the new dimension, the rest of the Elements of Harmony insisted to join their friend to Canterlot to say their goodbye. Luna was beyond nervous as her sister tried to calm her fears, "Don't threat, little sister. Everything will turn out alright in the end,"

The Equestrian ruler nuzzled the smaller alicorn for reassurance, causing the Night Princess to give a small smile of gratitude. Luna was thankful to have an older sibling as kind as Celestia. She knew that her sister would no matter what do the best things just for her.

The alicorns were interrupted from their private calm when the room door opened up to reveal the mane six. All of them except for Fluttershy looked worse than the previous day; they looked exhausted, sick, and their coats looked as though there was no color in them whatsoever. It pained the two immortals to see their friends in that state.

Gracefully, Celestia and Luna flew down from the pedestal that Celestia's throne stood and joined the group. Luna noticed that Fluttershy was wearing her element around her neck, she had a saddlebag around her back, and that on top of her head sat a snow white rabbit who had a face only a mother could love. Without waiting for a greeting, Princess Celestia asked, "Ready?"

Everypony in the group, including Luna, nodded their heads. With little effort, the Sun Princess used her magic to close the doors and curtains to make the room dark again, but with the levitating table illuminating the middle of the room. However, before the ponies walked towards it, Celestia levitated up another object; an old but fancy hand-held mirror, "Take this mirror with you. It is your only connection to Equestria,"

Luna took the mirror with her own magic and examined it, "How does it work?" Luna eyed the mirror than her sister, Fluttershy spoke next, "Um...Yes, uh..h-how does it work and can we use it anytime?" Celestia shook her head at the question, "No. You cannot use it whenever. It can only be used on a full moon. And how it works is by magic. You have to say only this, 'Show home,' and it should show me to you two above that table," Celestia gestured to the table in the center of the room that was giving them light.

Luna put the mirror in her saddle bag as she turned to face her sister, but was instead met by a tight embrace from the tall alicorn ruler. Luna was stunned for a few short moments before returning the hug, "Don't worry, Tia. We'll get back the elements and bring Sombra down," Luna looked over to see the six friends also embrace each other as they said goodbye, "We know ya'll can do it, sugarcube," "Yeah, go and pound Sombra's face into the ground for me!" "Indeed. We have complete confidence in you, darling" "Don't forget to have fun! Oh and bring me candy when you get back," "We are right here for you,"

Even though the mane six's words of encouragement were weak, Luna could tell that they meant every word. Once everypony were ready for the spell, Luna and Fluttershy stood on top of the table as Twilight put up a force field around herself, her friends, and Celestia so they wouldn't get sucked in by the portal. Celestia then began to bring an old sheet of paper towards her as she spoke the words of the spell, which could not be heard by the two mares on the table.

The spell must have worked though, because Luna and Fluttershy felt a strong current of force pulling them into what looked like a black hole! The two ponies were terrified, although Luna quickly got over it. She knew her sister would never send her into a black hole that could hurt her or anypony else. she looked around to see that Fluttershy was yelling at a high pitch as her stuff was being scattered in all directions.

Fluttershy was regretting going into the portal; she knew it was for the good of her friends and Equestria, but she didn't expect it to be this terrifying. Angel was clinging on to her mane for dear life as the yellow pegasus went deeper and deeper into the abyss. Fluttershy could feel a few strand tears leak out of her eyes as they floated above her do to the gravity. The pony was about to let out another scream before she felt a pair of wings enlace around her. She opened her eyes to see Luna smiling at her reassuringly as the alicorn flew straight to the opening at the end of the portal.

The creature was so strong; it had come out of nowhere and was now battling the Teen Titans like a bull. They were all being flung, thrown, tossed, and punched around with no mercy whatsoever. This was the fourth time this week that an unexplained beast has been attacking the city. None of the titans could explain what was going on. Sure, there would be an evil monster who is either controlled by a villain, or just wants to eat people, but this was getting ridiculous!

"We need to retreat, Robin! I don't think we can stop this thing!" Beast Boy shouted to his leader as he dodged another punch from the monster. Robin was too busy strangling one of the creature's tentacles to respond to Beast Boy. The green hero looked to see that Cyborg and Starfire were shooting beams of electricity and green flames at the creature's mouth, only to have it swallow the beams with no effect.

Raven couldn't help but agree with Beast Boy's claim, but she was not going to give up that easily; using her telekinesis powers, the caped superhero surrounded the biggest object she could find; a statue of the founder of the city. Using all of her strength, Raven through the statue straight at the beast's green, demented eye. Hitting the monster hard enough to make it fall hard on the pavement, the Teen Titans went to the ground to examine their fallen opponent, only to find that it grew smaller and mutate into a strange mist.

The strange mist zoomed off down an ally, but not before Starfire speeded after it and was able grab a piece of it before it vanished for good, "Friends, what do you think this means?" "I don't know, Starfire. But, don't worry. We WILL stop whatever is going on here," Robin stood next to his girlfriend to try to get a better idea of where the smoke went off too. He then took the piece Starfire was able to get from the creature, "Okay, Titans. We have a new objective: to figure out what all these creatures are and where they are coming from," Robin held up the strand piece of mist to his team mates.

Raven approached what Robin was holding, but when she did she felt an extreme headache overtake her as she crumbled to the ground, only to have Beast Boy catch her, "Uh...th-that thing. It..it is made from dark magic..." Raven winced in pain before passing out in Beast Boy's arms.

The group was dumbfounded; they had never seen Raven so affected by anything as small as an unknown mist. Not to mention that she said that it was created by black magic. This was a sign that whatever they were dealing with, it was not just another minor problem like they've dealt with in the past; this was an emergency that they had to stop before it was too late. The question was: If a little patch of smoke could cause Raven to pass out, then what would it do if it got stronger?

The team was just about to go back to Titan Tower when Cyborg stopped them, "Guys, stop. Listen, can you hear that?" the group listened for a minute before they heard a distant "HELP!" and bolted to their feet with the exception of Beast Boy, who still had Raven in his grasp. Robin was the first to speak, "Titans,go!"

The Titans rushed to the end of the allyway and turned to the right, only to find a shocking discovery.

********************************************************

The portal opened up to allow Luna and Fluttershy, along with their saddlebags enter through. Luna landed gracefully on the hard ground, while the bags and Angel plopped on it with a little thud. For a moment, Luna found that it was hard to breath, so she checked her back to find that Fluttershy was gripping onto her neck and was shaking her tail off, "Uh...Fl-utter-sh-y, I-can't-BREATH!"

Fluttershy opened one eye to see that they were safe and on the ground. Frantically, the shy pegasus yanked her front hooves away from the princess's neck, "Oh dear! I am so sorry, your majesty! I didn't mean to!" Fluttershy quickly got off of Luna's back to observe their surroundings, "Where are we?"

The Moon Princess gaped at all the buildings around them; they were nothing like what the princess has ever seen! That was really saying something considering that she has lived for more than a thousand years, but the atmosphere was just too new and strange. Some of the buildings were even taller than Canterlot Castle!

The princess was interrupted by her sightseeing however, when she heard a scream from Fluttershy, "AAAAHHHH!!! WHAT IN CELESTIA'S NAME IS THAT!!!???" Fluttershy was pointing at a huge monster that was terrorizing the city and destroying some of the buildings. Luna was glued to the spot, before a car smashed right next to her! She knew that this was not a safe area to be in, so the true leader in her came out, "Fluttershy, follow me and be on the lookout for falling objects and anything out of the ordinary apart from THAT thing!" Luna and Fluttershy bolted in the opposite direction of the monster, taking flight once they were a safe distance away.

In mid flight, Luna halted and turned back in the direction of the beast, only to have Fluttershy stop with her, "Keep going! I'm going to try something and I don't want you to get hurt!" Luna flew straight towards the rampaging monster as she gathered up all the energy she could muster and shot at the creature, causing it to fall to the ground. The Night Princess watched from afar as she witness about five smaller creatures wearing strange clothing cornered the beast as it started to turn into nothing more than a purple mist.

Before she could go back to Fluttershy, Luna saw that the mist zoomed away at lighting speed. She knew she had to follow it, even if it wasn't her business. For all she knew, that 'thing' could be apart of King Sombra's magic, and she would have just let get away like it didn't matter. Luna speeded after it, flying past Fluttershy as she shouted, "Come on! We can't let that thing get away!"

Fluttershy reluctantly followed, picking up Angel and zooming as fast as her wings could take her. Together, the two ponies were flying at high speeds to get the mist before it was out of their vision. Luna spotted the smoke go down an ally and quickly gained on it's tracks.

However, when Luna turned down the ally she was met with the mist purposefully shooting into her head, which caused an extreme sensation of pain overtake her as she knocked into some trash cans! The princess weized and winced at every movement she made. Nearby, she could hear her companion gasp in horror as she blacked out. The only word she heard was, "Help!"

Fluttershy was terrified; she knew that she had to get help for the princess, but she couldn't just leave her after that strange smoke knocked the Princess of the Night out! The young pony had tears coming down her cheeks nonstop. She had been calling for the past few minutes, yet no one had come to her aid. The pegasus was losing faith every minute that past. No one, not even her beloved pet, Angel could make her feel better.

Finally, Fluttershy went quiet as she drained the last of her hope. However, the yellow mare's ears perked up when she heard voices; they were distant, but she did hear them. She looked in the direction she heard the voices from, but was startled by an agonized shriek! Angel had also heard, because he pulled at Fluttershy's long, pink mane and pointing in the opposite direction the scream came from.

Though Angel couldn't talk, Fluttershy quickly got the message and shook her head, "No, Angel. We cannot run away, they could help us. Besides, I wouldn't be able to get the princess out to safety in time," there was no changing Fluttershy's mind now; she had to get the princess help even it it was a bad idea.

So, Fluttershy gathered up as much of her voice as she could, took a deep breath, and yelled as loud as she could, "HELP!!!!" there was a moment's silence before she heard what sounded like a group running at top speed towards them. Fluttershy let out a breath of air she didn't realize she was holding, until she saw who had come to her rescue.

*************************************************************************

The titans stared, dumbfounded by what they found; a small, yellow pony with wings sitting with an unconscious blue pony with wings and a unicorn horn! The group, along with the mare and her pet locked eyes with each other. The Teen Titans had never seen such a strange trio of animals. For a moment the team eyed one another, mentally asking if they were seeing the same thing.

As for Fluttershy, she stared fearfully at the group. She took a minute to wonder if these creatures were the 'humans' Twilight talked about when she returned from her first encounter to the human world. The mare then spotted a green human carrying a female person in a blue cloak. She could only guess that was the one that shouted earlier. The pony was caught by surprise when one of the 'humans', at least she thought it was a human, spoke in a voice that sounded very clear and kind, "Aww, it's so cute! But is that kind of creature common on earth, Robin?"

"Not from what I hear, Star. But let's not make any sudden movements. We need to search for who called for help," Robin started to direct his team mates to different areas in the clearing to look for the one who called. At this statement, Fluttershy arced an eyebrow; surely they had to know that she was the one who called for them. Who else would? She was the only one who was capable of speaking. Fluttershy decided to get to the bottom of this strange behavior.

"Um, excuse me? I was the one who called for you," At the sound of Fluttershy's voice, everyone turned in her direction, but instead of seeing anybody, they just shrugged it off as their minds playing tricks on them. Now Fluttershy was frustrated; she had spoken right to them and they clearly heard her, yet they still ignored her, "Um hello! DOWN HERE!!!!"

This time the group knew the voice wasn't in their heads; doing what the voice told them to do, the titans turned to look at the ground only to find an irritated Fluttershy. With a pang of suspicion, Beast Boy tested out his theory by asking a question, "What color is my skin?" it was a stupid question to ask, but it received an answer nonetheless, "Oh, well um it's......green," Fluttershy bashfully hid half of her face as the titans went wide eyed and had their jaws drop to the ground, with sounded like heavy concrete.

It took all of Beast Boy's will power to hold onto the sleeping Raven after he got an intelligent response from a pony! Cyborg was the next one to speak up. He rose his voice very loudly as her got in the pegasus's face, "Your a PONY! PONIES AREN'T SUPPOSE TO SPEAK!!!!"

Fluttershy coward away in fear as Angel came up in front of her protectively. Starfire smacked the half robot in his face, "OW!!! WHAT WAS THAT FOR!!!!????" Starfire spoke in a calm yet serious tone as she gestured to the scared pony, "You are scaring her!" everyone turned to Fluttershy to see that she was weeping softly and was being comforted by her bunny, who turned to Cyborg and gave him the death glare. With sympathy for the animal, Robin took everyone aside to speak.

"I don't think that pony is from here, and when I say here, I mean that she's not from Earth." "So, you think we should help her?" Beast Boy had put Raven down so he wouldn't use up his strength, "Maybe. First let's get her and her friend back home, then we'll see if we can do something," the group turned back to Fluttershy to see that she was staring up at them with tear stained eyes and cheeks.

Robin was about to kneel to the mare's level when Beast Boy put his green hand on Robin's shoulder and kneeled close to Fluttershy, he smiled kindly to the animal. He could see that the pegasus was still frightened, so he knew he had to be gentle in this situation, "Hey there. So, sorry if we scared you. We just don't usually get talking ponies around here. What's your name?" Fluttershy felt much better after hearing the green man's words, but as usual, she was still shy when it came to talking to new ponies, or in this case, humans.

"My n-name is F-Flutter-sh-y," Fluttershy's voice was so soft that nobody but Beast Boy could hear her; after all, being able to change into any animal gave the boy the privilege to hear things that an ordinary man could not, "Oh, that's a nice name. So Fluttershy, can we take you to our tower? We promise we won't freak out again. Right, guys!" the titans all nodded in agreement as they got closer, "B-but what about Princess Luna? She is badly hurt and we still need to get our stuff," Fluttershy looked towards the sleeping princess who did have a few scratches and deep bruises in areas.

The adults were stunned; not only did these ponies speak english, but one of them just so happened to be a princess. Starfire couldn't help but give a small squeak of glee. She couldn't help but love the idea of having another princess around. That is if the animals decided to stay.

This time, Robin answered the pegasus's question, "Of course she can come with us. But how did she get like that?" Fluttershy just let out a sigh, "It's a long story," the titans sensed that the yellow mare didn't want to talk about such events right then and there, so they dropped it. for now at least.

Fluttershy got onto her hooves as Robin picked up Luna and led the way out of the alley. Halfway through the opening to the streets, Cyborg turned around to see Beast Boy scooping up the still unconscious cloak covered mass that was Raven, "You want me to carry her?" Beast Boy simply shook his head at his friend's question, "No, I got her," at that, Cyborg just gave the green man an all knowing smile as they both exited out of the alleyway towards their home.

Dream of Connection

Fluttershy was astonished when she and the titans arrived at Titans Tower; the place was huge even in the common room. There was a long curved out couch facing a breathtaking view of the ocean, a bar area, and a little lounge! The pegasus pony marveled at everything she laid her green eyes on. Even her rambunctious bunny was impressed by everything, "You live here?" Fluttershy trotted over to the big window overlooking the sea as the sky was giving out mixtures of reds, pinks, and oranges, indicating that it was going to be dark soon.

The titans watched the female pony for a second in amusement as she explored the areas in the room. Then, Robin and Beast Boy remembering that they had two sleeping girls in their arms, approached the couch and laid them gingerly on the sofa on different sides. Fluttershy, now noticing the humans gathering around the unconscious Raven and Luna, walked over to join them.

"Oh, I hope they will be alright. Princess Luna still has to raise the moon up in the sky," Fluttershy looked out the window in concern, hoping that her friend would not miss her deadline.

The superheros went wide eyed at the part about Luna raising up the moon, but they decided that now was not the time to ask questions seeing on how the mare yawned in exhaustion. Starfire approached the pony and scooped her up with a gentle smile, "Seems you are very tired. I shall escort you to your bedroom for the night,"

Fluttershy gave the alien a smile of gratitude before giving Luna another look of sympathy, "Luna will be okay, right? And what about our saddlebags? We need some of the stuff in them," Robin came up from behind Starfire's shoulder and smiled, "Don't worry, we'll take care of Luna and go back and grab your stuff for you," with that, the yellow coated pegasus told the adults where they could find the saddlebags and what they looked like before she fell asleep in Star's arms.

Once Starfire went to put Fluttershy in her temporary room, Robin turned to the rest of his team, "Okay guys, here's what we are going to do; Cyborg, you go and put the princess in one of the guest rooms, and I will go and retrieve the 'saddlebags' that pony told me about," "Her name is Fluttershy, and what about me?" Beast Boy stared at his leader expectedly, waiting for him to give an order.

Robin faced the green boy, "You stay here with Raven. She might wake up and be wondering what's going on," Beast Boy just nodded his head in understanding as he looked towards Raven, who was now breathing slowly. Beast Boy creaked out the smallest of smiles. He couldn't help but admit that when she wasn't getting angry, fighting bad guys, or scorning him for whatever, she looked quite peaceful and pretty.

Soon Cyborg left with Luna and Robin went to get the ponies bags, leaving Beast Boy alone with Raven in the living area. The only sound that could be heard was a cricket from the outside. Beast Boy stared at Raven like he was afraid she would disappear, and didn't even notice when Robin came back and hour later with Luna and Fluttershy's saddlebags.

Robin was shocked to find his animal changing friend still awake and in the same spot he left him in. With a little nudge, the man awoke the green man from his trance on Raven, "Ya know, if you want me to I can watch over her so you can get some sleep," Beast Boy simply shook his head, never losing his gaze on the cloaked woman, "Nah, it fine. I'm already situated and I'm not even tired yet,"

Robin just nodded his head when he looked out the window and noticed something odd; there was no moon up in the sky! Sure, they wouldn't always be able to see the moon all the time, but there was no illumination from the ocean what so ever! Not to mention that there was not a star in the sky and that there were no waves being pulled towards the shore of the island!

Robin just stared blankly at the window before shaking his head and walking out of the room. Little did he know that he was sheltering the only one who could bring back the moon.

************************************************

Raven walked blindly through her dark surroundings as she called out for someone to come to her, "HELLO!!" her voice echoed all around her as she grew more and more creeped out. She breathed in for oxygen, trying to keep her emotions in check. However, another voice shouted out of the darkness, catching the girl by complete surprise, "Who is there?"

The cloaked woman could tell that the voice was female as she looked all around her, expecting someone to emerge to attack her or something. But no one came into her view as she kept on walking further into the blackness. She walked on for a moment or two before she noticed something; a blue mass walking towards her direction, seemingly lost as well.

Luna was confused of where she was; one minute she was chasing after the smoke, then she was knocked to the ground. She was about to turn back when a tall, blue cloaked figure was staring at her direction. Feeling relieved that she was not alone, the princess walked toward it, "HELLO! ARE YOU THERE!? PLEASE, I AM PRINCESS LUNA AND I COULD USE YOUR ASSISTANCE!!!"

Raven was surprised that the mass was speaking to her. She could see it was not a human as it got closer to her. Hesitantly, she to approached the strange being and gasped when she saw that it was a pony with a horn and wings! Luna was just as shocked to see that the figure in front of her was a human being!

The two locked eyes as they tried to comprehend what was going on; they thought it was strange to be seeing each other together in the same place. With no one else around. To be sure they weren't hallucinating, the two girls stretched out their arms to touch each others hoof and fingers.

When they did, they both felt a blast of visions consume them as they saw flashes of each other's life, powers, and souls. Once they were able to break apart, they both took deep breaths as they stared at each other in disbelief, "You are Princess Luna, second in line of your kingdom and the Princess of the Night. You control the rise and fall of the moon," Luna went wide eyed, for the girl had gotten everything right, "And you are known as Raven, daughter of Trigon, and member of a team called 'Teen Titans',"

Raven was astonished, "That's right!" and in unison, the two girls got in each other's faces as they shouted, "HOW DID YOU DO THAT!!!!??? I DON'T KNOW!!! STOP THAT!!!" the two stared intensly for a few seconds before Raven asked dully, "What are you?" Luna scoffed, "Truly you have never heard of an alicorn before," but instead of getting a no for an answer, Raven simply nodded her head, "I have never heard of an 'alicorn' before, but we cannot worry about that now. We need to figure out where we are,"

Luna had to agree, "I suppose you are right. But I have a feeling we are dreaming," this caught Raven's attention, "How do you know? Does that mean that you are not real?" Luna narrowed her eyes at the woman, irritated by the comment, "I can assure you that I am real. And what of YOU? Are you a figment of my imagination?" "Of course I'm not!"

The females glared at one another for a minute, before they were sucked up in the air by what looked to be a blackened twister as it separated into two and sucked the two girls apart.

Simultaneously, the two girls jolted awake in their sleeping areas. Luna noticed that her surroundings were completely different then the alley she crash landed in hours ago, but quickly was reassured when she saw Fluttershy and Angel sleeping in a nearby bed. With a loud sigh, the alicorn pulled back her covers and went to sleep.

As for Raven, she jolted up and was surprised to find that she was on the couch in the common room. But what really caught her attention was who was snoring on the coffee table; Beast Boy. The cloaked woman couldn't help the small blush that was forming on her cheeks as she laid down and went to sleep. They two girls couldn't help but think about each other as they closed their eyes for the night.

Rising Moon: Part 1

View Online

Luna awoke the following morning early; she was so use to getting up at the early hours because of lowering the moon at dawn, but she figured that since it was a new dimension that she wouldn't have to worry about raising or lowering the moon. Oh how wrong she was about that.

Her mane and tail were knotted and everywhere, and her eyes were sucked in; she had clearly had a rough night of sleep the previous night. She couldn't help but have reoccurring nightmares of Sombra and the great Shadow War she and her sister became victorious in. The moon goddess also thought about the time before the war, when she and Sombra were both Star Swirl's apprentices and when they-

Luna abruptly stopped in her thoughts as she blocked that part of her mind out. She couldn't think about the past right then; she had to find out what happened to her while she was knocked out. Not to mention the fact that the alicorn wanted to learn about the 'Raven' girl as soon as possible. Grudgingly, Luna slipped out of the small bed and looked towards a nearby window to see Fluttershy sound asleep with a curled up Angel beside her on her pillow.

Luna walked out of the room and down the hallway. The mare assumed that she was in a hospital of some kind, but was shocked to find that the place looked more like a home then a medical center. Luna found a flight of stairs when she turned a corner. Feeling as though she could use some fresh air, the princess climbed the steps that led her to the roof of the building, where she was met with a thick fog that overtook her being like everything else around her. The night princess didn't mind the vapor surrounding her. Infact, the fog felt like a warm welcome compared to the hit in the face she got from the runaway mist from the previous day.

Luna sat down to take it all in as she attempted to clear her mind for a moment, when she heard a male voice from behind her, "Well, it's good to see that you're awake," the night princess turned and froze in place when she saw that the voice belonged to a human being just like the caped woman from her dream.

Robin leaned on the threshold of the door that led to the rooftop as he observed the pony with interest; he would have never believed that a creature such as Luna would have existed. Though, he had battled against many bizarre animals, creatures, aliens, beasts, and super villains so he figured that it could be possible that a unicorn with wings and a pegasus could make some sense.

Luna felt the surge of her magic well up inside of her horn as she got ready to attack if it was necessary. The man quickly noticed the action as he held his hands up in a reassuring way as he tried to calm the mare's fears, "Woah, it's okay. You can trust me. I'm a friend. Your friend Fluttershy met us yesterday and we took you two here to our home to keep you safe," the man's words calmed the princess down after he said that as the mare's muscles relaxed as she put on an apologetic face, "My apologies, it's just that I have never exactly met a male human before and I do not know you,"

The masked titan simply nodded his head, as he knew where the princess was coming from, "Yeah, I get it. I'm Robin by the way, and your Princess Luna, right?" Robin sat down next to the princess as she gave a slight smirk, "I am suspecting that Fluttershy has told you about me?" Robin just nodded as he got up and held out his arm out to Luna, who smiled and gladly took it as the two made their way back down the stairs.

Even though Luna had just met the human, she could tell that he was a good person and that she could trust him. She didn't know why, but she felt as though the man was an important figure to the dimension she found herself in, but she just couldn't put her hoof on it. They made their way into the living room to the tongue-watering smell of breakfast; Starfire was busy cooking a strange, yet delicious breakfast that came from her home planet, Tamera, for everyone.

Before Luna could move a step further, she found herself being embraced in a gut-wrenching hug by non-other than Fluttershy, "I am so glad you are okay!" the pink maned pegasus pulled away as she looked up at Robin,"Where was she?" "
She was up on the roof of the building. She was up there for a while I think before I came and got her," Robin went over to Starfire and pecked her on the cheek, causing the tan skinned female to face him and smile in greeting.

Fluttershy directed Luna to the other side of the room where Beast Boy and Cyborg were watching an action movie. Noticing the two ponies, the men got up from the sofa and walked towards them and smiled as Fluttershy introduced them to the Princess of the Night, "Luna, these two are Cyborg and Beast Boy. They live here with Robin and his mare- I mean, girlfriend, Starfire. Boys, this is Princess Luna," Beast Boy lowered down to the princess's level as he took her hoof and shook it, "It's good to meet you, your highness!"

Luna shook along with the man, but she couldn't help but wonder what the deal was with the green skin and pointed ears. She decided that she could ask later, as she didn't wish to be rude when she had just met the young man. The princess moved to Cyborg and felt intimidated a bit by the half metal exterior that covered half of the titan's body. Yet, just like with Beast Boy, she shook her hoof with the half-robot's hand and tried to be polite as another presence came behind her as she turned to see Starfire, looking down at her with two green-glazed over eyes.

Luna smiled a bit nervously, as she had never been around so many new humans before, "It is nice to meet all of you. Really, it's just...I have never been around so many of your kind before." at that, Cyborg, Beast Boy, and Starfire laughed at the comment, "Don't sweat! To be honest, I have never seen ponies like you two before, either!" Cyborg ruffled the alicorn's mane causing it to get messed up even more, but the air in the room was no longer thick. Luna actually found herself laughing along with the group as they all sat down at the table for breakfast.

Luna and Fluttershy found themselves enjoying the company of the titans as they told jokes and spoke of what they were going to do for the day. Luna was in the middle eating an apple when she sensed yet another presence enter the room. She turned to look and dropped her apple from her hoof as she stared, astonished at who came into the room.

Raven walked in the common room after getting washed up, only to be shocked into one spot at who she saw sitting at the dinner table with her friends; Luna. She also had gotten the mare's attention, for she watched the alicorn drop her apple as they both stared, wide eyed and mouths open for a moment or so.

The Teen Titans and Fluttershy also noticed the sudden character change in the princess, so they all followed her lead as they spotted the caped woman, staring in the alicorn's direction as if she was staring at a long lost relative. The group arced their eyebrows at the tension between the two females as they tried to figure out what was so shocking. It was only when the blue pegasus got out of her spot when things got even more tense; Luna approached Raven, never losing her gaze on the girl as she stopped a few feet in front of her.

Raven looked down at the pony, trying to figure out what to do or what to say, but the only thought that crossed her mind was if she was having another dream, or if she had just gone insane. The pair stared at one another for a few more seconds before they touched hoof and hand again, to see if they would be blown across the room like in their dream, but nothing happened as they broke apart and started speaking in unison, "What are you doing here? You are really here, right? Stop that! Oh, not THIS, again,"

The human and pony both fist and hoofed palmed their faces as they looked away from the other for the first time in minutes. The five people and pony watched the whole thing unfold in confusion, intrigue, and astonishment. It was like the cloaked woman and princess had already met, but how? they were both unconscious at the SAME time! Robin stood up from the table, "Um...Raven, princess, what's going on here?"

Simultaneously, the two girls pointed at the other as they both said, "SHE WAS IN MY DREAM!!!!" with that, they both started to explain on how they both had a dream where the were shrouded in darkness, walked around for what felt like forever, heard each other's voices, met, then talked about the electric spark that clashed between them and saw each other's lives, abilities, and destinies.

Fluttershy and the titans listened with much interest as the tale went on. The titans started to wonder if there was something going on that they did not know about. Once Luna and Raven ended their story of their shared dream, they waited to see if their acquaintances could come up with a rational explanation, but to their disappointment, no one could think of anything.

"We'll find out what is going on with your 'dream' later. But right now I want to talk about somethings I think are important," Robin waved at Raven and Luna, inviting them to sit at the table, which they did. But they were careful to keep their distance from each other as Robin began, "Okay guys first off, I saw something odd last night; I saw that the moon was not in the sky, nor was there any illumination in the waves," at this news, luna went wide eyed as she spit out her milk all over Cyborg, causing everyone to turn to her in surprise, "WHAT!!!??? OH NO!!! THIS IS TERRIBLE!!! HOW COULD I HAVE BEEN SO FOOLISH!!!!"

Luna began pacing back and forth as she rambled on to herself about how stupid she was for not doing her duty as a princess. All the titans except for Raven and Fluttershy, stared in confusion and shock, wondering what the mare was freaking out about. Fluttershy was the first to move from her chair as she flew over to Luna and stopped her in mid sentence, "Princess, please calm down. It was not your fault. You were unconscious and was in no capability to do your duty,"

She didn't know what came over her, but Raven found herself stand up and walk to the princess and put a reassuring hand on the alicorn's shoulder, which caused the princess to stare at her.

The Teen Titans watched with amazement as they saw apart of Raven they rarely ever saw; a kind, comforting, and caring Raven. It was strange to see her interact the way she was with creatures she hadn't known for a whole day. Everyone in the room were caught off guard when a blinking red light and a siren went off causing all the titans to jump to their feet and for Fluttershy to jump in fright.

Instantly, Robin's leader mode came out as he instructed his team, "Titans, trouble. Go!" with no hesitation, the group except for Fluttershy and Luna all ran to the door to stop the trouble that was spreading chaos in the city. However, Luna wanted to find out what was going on, so she grabbed ahold of Raven's cloak with her mouth, "Wait! What is going on!?" Raven didn't have time for this, "There's no time to explain, but stay here and don't go outside!" Raven pulled away her cloak as she exited the common room, leaving Luna and Fluttershy to look on with both astonishment and horror.

It had been eight hours and yet still, the titans had not returned home. Luna was pacing around the room, worried for the people who had saved them, "Where are they! What are they doing that could be taking so LONG!" Fluttershy followed Luna's movements with concern for the princess and the titans, "I'm sure they are fine," though Fluttershy was beginning to wonder what was going on and if it was safe as well, "I don't care! Those humans could be in need of our help and we're sitting here!" Luna stared out of the window; thinking, until she made up her mind.

"We're going after them! Come on!" before Fluttershy could protest, Luna flew out of the room at top speed. She knew that what she was about to do was dangerous, but she knew that she was going to do anything and everything in her power to help the titans, weather they wanted it or not....

Raven was thrown into a nearby wall. Their opponent was stronger than they originally thought, for it was an entity they had never expected to encounter; it was a lot like the mist that caused Raven and Luna to black out, but worse. This time, it was more powerful, bigger, and it had friends. If that was bad enough, it could also get a hold on their abilities and use them against the heros. Yeah, definitely not something you want to go picking a fight with.

All the titans were going at the monster and its army continuously, but kept on getting overpowered when the creatures used their powers against them. At all directions, there was at least one of the five titans who was cornered, fighting constantly, or was starting to slow down in their attacks by exhaustion. Beast Boy was the last one who was clear of creatures coming at him as he breathed in deep, raspy breaths of oxygen; he was ready to take down their enemy and head back to the tower, but judging by how bad their battle was going, he wondered if he would ever see the tower again.

"Come on, Beast Boy! Keep fighting! Do it for the world, the city, the ponies, your friends, and yourself," the green man spoke under his breath as he looked around him to see the troops of the pitch black beasts grab hold of his team mates, who were either struggling in the monsters grasp, or were knocked unconscious. The man turned his head to the left to see out of the corner of his eye, Raven getting off of the ground.

Their eyes connected as the two comrades agreed on the same thing. Together, they stood side by side. Their huge, black predator noticed and laid it's demonic green eyes on the two superheros as it let out a deep, ominous laugh, "Do you truly believe that little specks such as yourselves can defeat me? I am created by pure darkness, I am a servant to the King of Shadows, I take your precious light and extinguish it. You are nothing compared to me, but I am not here for you,"

"You obviously don't know who we are and what we've dealt with in the past!" as he declared this statement, Beast Boy shape-shifted into a T-rex and allowed Raven to fly on top of his head as the dinosaur charged at the dark cloud of smoke. With great power in her voice, Raven spread out her arms as she announced her signature cry, "Azerath-metrion-sinfose!" which caused a part the roof above them to fall and crush a good amount of the army. The army's leader was momentarily distracted by the sudden attack, which gave Beast Boy to ram his giant body into the creature, who plummeted into the hard ground.

After the blow, the pitch black mist started to shrink down to the size of a human, but still maintained its dark color and mist-like exterior. While it took a moment to compose itself, Beast Boy turned back into his normal self. The man and woman ran next to each other. They got in their attack stances and were prepared for when their enemy would rise up again. However, they were lifted up by two of the monster's soldiers who had also taken the shapes as humans.

The heroines struggled and squirmed in their capturers holds, but found they couldn't. They could only watch in terror as their enemy stood up, and created a large dagger in his palm. It turned it's head around, not even having the body turn with it, and smiled. It's smile was so demented. It's teeth were yellow and sharp, with some teeth missing due to the creature's fall, and the green eyes now had slits for the pupils that ran chills down Beast Boy's and even Raven's spine.

The monster observed his dagger as he spoke in his demonic voice, "I must admit, you two make quite a team. But I am in no mood to play games with such foolish humans like you! I have a message to deliver and I do intend on delivering it," the blackened smog then came up to Raven, who glared at him with complete hatred. With his dagger, the human posing mist gently pressed the utensil on the girl's stomach, which caused Raven's heart rate to increase a mile in a split second! Beast Boy felt rage, hatred, and his inner-beast well up in him until he couldn't control it anymore, "Let her GO!!!" without wasting a second, the boy punched and kicked his way out of the dark human-shaped being's grasp as it evaporated into the clean air.

With seemingly no effort taken, Beast Boy grew claws and sharper fangs as he threw the dagger out of his opponent's shadowed hand and flung Raven's capturer across the room with amazing force, freeing her. The cloaked woman just stared at her rescuer in uoter shock; she knew that when it came to his friends, Beast Boy was very protective, but she had never seen the man turn into a raging predator like he had just done, and it was all......for her?

Raven blocked that thought out of her mind as reality came back to her as she and Beast Boy stood side by side, ready for their opponent. Their target was also prepared, despite his astonishment of the green male's outburst. The three stared intensely at each other, as the army of creatures stood on all sides, ready to see who will go down. In that moment, the real fight had begun.

****************************************************

"Princess Luna, stop!" Luna turned to find Fluttershy a few wing-flaps away, clearly out of breath from the pace she had been flying at to keep up with the night princess, "Fluttershy, this is not the time. those humans could be in terrible danger right at this moment!" Luna noticed that Fluttershy was not wearing her element, "Where is your element? We could use it," Fluttershy just sighed, "I left it at the tower. I thought that it would be safer there," Luna thought about it for a minute before she realized that Fluttershy was right; they couldn't take the risk of the last element being taken from them. Not to mention that they didn't know how to use it without the support of the Element of Harmony, yet she still had her worries. Not only for the element, but for the pegasus.

"I suppose you are right, but you will still need to defend yourself incase we are in battle," the princess then used her magic to create a sword for Fluttershy, and levitated it to her. Alas, when the pony grabbed hold of the weapon, it's weight was too much for the mare, for it caused the pony to stoop down at least twenty feet. Once Fluttershy had risen back up to Luna's level, she blushed in embarrassment at her clumsiness.

Luna hoof-palmed her face as she tried to think of what to do, before turning the sword into a bow with arrows. Fluttershy looked at the object. She had never used a bow before, so she was afraid that she was going to mess something up, but before she could bring this information to light, Luna flew off, "Come now! There is no time to waste!"

Fluttershy gave her new tools of defence one last uncertain look, before catching up with her comrade as the soured through the city, "So, um...what exactly are we looking for?" Luna only responded with a hoof pointing to a nearby street that had seen some struggle.

The two girls landed and began looking for any clues that could link them to the titans. The area had clearly seen the destruction recently, yet they still couldn't find anything that was related to the team. Fluttershy was convinced that there was nothing to worry about, at least for the titans, "Princess, I don't think we wi-AH!" Fluttershy had fallen into a opening in the ground that wasn't there before, catching Luna by surprise.

Luna flew down gingerly on the floor of the opening, only to be met with mucky water and a terrible smell that made her crinkle her snout in disgust. Fluttershy was equally disgusted by the water, if it even was that, and trotted onto a narrow pathway on the right side of the area. Luna followed her friend's lead as they looked to see that the opening led to a tunnel. The two girls could see that there was light at the leading towards the place they were looking at, but it was rather dim. Nonetheless, Luna started following the way that led to the light, fluttershy close behind her.

They both walked in silence, trying to figure out what to do. Fluttershy was wondering if the alicorn had a plan, a weapon, or a clue of what they were about to walk into, "So, you do have an idea, right princess?" Luna halted in her tracks at the question. She hadn't even thought of a plan to save the titans, or how to defeat whoever started this mess. In fact, Luna didn't even think it through when she volunteered to come to this world, stop Sombra, and return the Elements of Harmony. Luna slouched to the ground, feeling like a failure, but then felt a comforting hoof come over her shoulder. Luna looked up to see Fluttershy giving her an apologetic smile, "Oh, I'm sorry, your highness. I didn't realize-" Fluttershy was cut off by Luna's cries of despair, "This is ALL my fault! I should have KNOWN that Sombra would return, but I was just too foolish!"

Fluttershy gasped in horror at the princess's accusations, "No, no...princess, this is NOT your fault. We all didn't see it coming," "But I should have! I am the Princess of the Night for feathers sake! King Sombra is connected to darkness, and so am I!" Luna was angry with herself for all she had done to cause this misfortune upon her sister, her kingdom, her friends, the titans, and herself. She wanted it all to be nothing more but a bad dream, but if it was, she was not going to wake up from it any time soon.

Fluttershy was outraged by this accusation, so mad that she raised the princess's head up by the chin and got in her face. She was not about to let the ever so regal royal put herself down. The pink maned pegasus had done that to herself before, and she was not about to let an almighty god do the same, "Listen to me, Luna. You are not the cause of this! Do you hear me! Yes, it's true that you are connected to darkness, but that gives us an advantage in a way. I believe in you, Celestia believes in you, my friends believe in you, and Equestria believes in you! You can do this!" Luna whipped a few tears away as she gave a smile of gratitude to her young friend.

Luna regained her composure, stood up, and plastered on a face of determination. She knew that she had to put guilt aside for now and focus on the task at hoof. It was the only way they were going to make it through, "You are right, Fluttershy. I do have others who are counting on me, and I'm not going to let them down! I have a plan, but I will need your assistance," Fluttershy nodded in understanding, "Well, what is it, princess?"

***********************************************

Beast Boy and Raven breathed heavily; they had used everything in their willpower to destroy their attacker, but were starting to tempt fate and let the monster-turned-human do what he wished with them. They were just too tired to continue on in the battle, "Aw, what's the matter? Have I bested you and your pathetic abilities already?" the monster spoke in a tone that was confident and smug. The two heros just glared at him before collapsing on the floor, to tired to fight on even if it costed them their lives.

Their opponent just grinned as he was about to give the adults his final blow, but was then shot by a blue, strong beam of magic hit the creature right where it's face would be, causing it to be flung against the wall! Raven and Beast Boy had enough strength to lift their heads up to see who their rescuers were, but didn't expect to find that they were none other than Princess Luna and Fluttershy! The two stared in awe as the ponies ran over to their aid, "Wh-why didn't you st-stay at the t-tower like I said?" Raven could specifically remember that morning when the emergency signal went off and told the alicorn and pegasus to stay in the tower.

Luna just smirked at the woman, "And leave you and your team to fight alone?" Beast Boy was the first to get to his feet, thanks to Fluttershy, "Well, you came just in the nick-of-time! We were about to be dead!" but before anyone could say another word, they all heard the demented laughter of their enemy as it shaped itself into a pony, "Well, seems that I shall get a chance to deliver my message to you, Princess Luna," at that, everyone, especially Luna, turned in shock, but then Luna's curiosity grew, but she would not let her guard down.

"What message?" she asked, "The message is from the King of Shadows," Luna's eyes widened and Fluttershy gave out the smallest hint of a gasp at the news. The beast only chuckled, "Yes. He wants me to tell you that you shall have six months until you meet with him," Fluttershy, and even Beast Boy and Raven went wide eyed. Luna however, remained calm, but on the inside she was terrified out of her mind. Nevertheless, she spoke boldly and proudly, "Why does Sombra wish to speak with me?"

"Oh, I think you know, your majesty. To discuss his plans for Equestria and this dimension, and to also go over old times," Fluttershy, Raven, and Beast Boy were confused and astonished by the dark smog's exclamation, but Luna was frozen where she stood, "I see that you clearly remember everything, despite it being one thousand years ago," Luna shook herself out of her trance as rage just consumed her. With no mercy, the princess shot continuously at the smog, causing the army of monsters to charge right at her and make Raven feel the same surge of power course through her veins as she joined Luna in the firing.

Beast Boy watched the scene unfold as the two girls shot in every direction, shooting off at every incoming black mist creature that got in their range. Their messenger was nowhere to be found, but they couldn't worry about that at the moment. Not when Luna and Raven were too busy fighting off the army to notice that their attacks were ricoteighing off the walls and ceiling, causing the concrete to crack little by little until the roof of the cave started coming down on them!

Remembering that he still had his fellow comrades lying in different places of the room, Beast Boy got Fluttershy and instructed her to go and get Starfire while he got Robin and Cyborg. Fluttershy did what she was told, but Beast Boy still needed Raven and Luna to stop their attacks, "Guys, STOP! Your bringing down the entire tunnel!"

Hearing the green boy's call, both Luna and Raven stopped what they were doing to see the destruction they were causing. They both flew out of the way when a huge concrete ceiling nearly crushed them! Beast Boy transformed into an elephant as he scooped up his leader and robotic teammate with his trunk and waited by the exit of the cave for everyone else. Fluttershy went first with Starfire on her back, then Raven went along with Beast Boy. As for Luna, she was the last of them to get out of the cave as she took one good look at what she had caused before rushing out along with the team, the messenger's words echoing in her mind as she went.

Luna was on top of the roof of Titans Tower, getting ready to bring forth her moon and night. She was just worried that she wouldn't be able to do it, not when she was increasingly losing her powers over the moon, but she would try, "Can I join you?" Luna turned to see Raven at the door, the princess cracked a small smile, "Of course. I could use some company," Raven nodded plainly and sat on the edge of the roof next to Luna, "Someday, huh?"

Luna let out an exasperated sigh, "Tell me about it. I cannot believe I have six months until I have to meet with that scum!" Luna couldn't help but feel sadness overwhelm her, but was interrupted by another question, "So...what did that thing mean by 'despite it being one thousand years ago'? And did it say something about a place called 'Equestria' and a 'dimension'?" Raven couldn't help but ask. She normally didn't care about that stuff, but it seemed that information was important and she wanted to know why.

Luna just sighed, "That can wait till morning. Right now, I had a job to do," and with that, Luna spread out her wings and took to the sky. Using every ounce of strength she had left, the night princess used her magic to lift the moon in the sky.

****************************************************

Inside the tower, Fluttershy and Beast Boy watched in awe as Luna raised up the moon in the darkening sky. Beast Boy was amazed that the mare who was out there, did such an amazing thing every night. Without taking his eyes off the moon, he asked his new pony friend, "So is this why she's called 'The Princess of the Night'?" Fluttershy simply nodded and smiled as she answered, "Yes, that's why," together, the two beings watched in amazement as the night gained it's rising moon.

New Team, New Friends

Somewhere in an ominous and dark tunnel under Jump City......

The former Crystal King waited impatiently for his Servants of Shadows to return from their mission. To be more specific, he was awaiting for the commander of the fleet to come to him and inform Sombra that he, or rather 'it' had delivered it's message to Princess Luna. The stallion was getting more and more agitated with his messenger every minute that past. He grimaced when he wondered if the message had even been sent. At last, the demented unicorn felt the prescience of his commander of black, smoky smog infest his chamber.

Once Sombra knew for sure that the smoke was in earshot, the red-horned pony spoke in his calm, yet most traumatizing tone so horrible, it could scare even the bravest of all grown stallions, "I hope you were successful in your task. If not, then you know what shall come to you..." as he said this, King Sombra opened the slightest of openings out of thin air with his magic. It was an opening to oblivion.

The smoked creature quivered a little bit, as it did not wish to be sent to such a place. The smoke was very grateful that it did have good news to it's master, "...Yes, sire. The task is complete...the Princess of Slumber now knows of your request to meet with her in six moons..." the grey-coated emperor allowed a devilish smile to grace across his snout at this news, until he sensed an uneasiness radiating off of the monster in front of him. He frowned as he realized that there was more to the story than just the alicorn mare. King Sombra narrowed his purple-smoked eyes upon the smog as he asked a simple, yet critical question, "And...?"

Already knowing what it's master meant by the question, the smog-infested creature said simply, "...And, it would appear that she is now being accompanied by a yellow-coated and pink maned pegasus mare, and a strange set of the beings known as 'humans' with magics I have never seen before," the beast chuckled as it continued on, "Of course, even with their abilities, those pitiful creatures would be dead by now if those two foolish ponies did not come in to save them!"

At this new revelation, the King of Shadows glared at his servant, making it step a few hooves away. Sombra was now even more agitated than he already wanted to be when he heard of the humans and the Element of Kindness! He had sent a piece of smog the used to shroud his body with darkened smoke to retrieve all six of the Elements of Harmony, but for whatever reason could not get a hold of what Sombra believed to be the weakest out of the artifacts; Kindness. Not to mention that even though he has only been in the new dimension for a short period, the dark king could tell that the humans were very intelligent and more advanced than what he was accustomed to. He knew that if Luna had aid from one of the elements and the humans then she would have the upper hoof! And yet, his minions just let the princess and her companions walk away!

The horned king was surging with anger as he all of a sudden pushed and cornered his misted-servant into a nearby wall! Stunned and petrified to the spot, the mist dreaded what was about to come next. The smoke's master and leader stared down on it, for the darkened vapor had shrunk down to a small size as a result of the fear. Sombra sneered at his so called 'loyal' servant of darkness with pure fury and hatred in his red and green eyes, "How DARE you let them escape!? Do you realize what you have done!? That pegasus was the last element I needed, and YOU and your army just let her go! If that wasn't any worse, you allowed those 'humans' to escape as well!" the evil king spat coldly.

King Sombra took a few steps back, away from his commander of mist and breathed in repeatedly and tried to calm his anger. Finally, with a heavy sigh, the curved-red horned unicorn king turned his back on his minion, who was slowly regaining it's misted figure, but remaining in the same spot. Sombra retrieved his composure and spat in a low, yet menacing manner, "You are very fortunate I shall reward you with mercy for at least giving the princess the message. You are now dismissed. I must be alone..."

Not hesitating in the slightest, the vaporized form quickly got out of the chamber.

As for the Shadow King, he stood where he was for a good minute or so, before he used his magic to materialize a chest and opened it up to reveal none other than the Elements of Harmony. With the exception of kindness. However, the elements, which were usually gorgeous gems with vibrant and bright colors, now looked drained of their colors and dull looking. If anyone looked really closely at the jewelry, they could also make out small cracks around the edges of the jems. This was bad, especially for the five mares who protected these artifacts. But for King Sombra, this was very good.

Once again for the second time that day, the stallion graced a wicked grin upon his narrow face, "I'm coming for you, Luna. And you new friends, too..."

****************************************************************************

Princess Luna got up from bed early as usual to lower the moon and make way for the sun. The immortal made her way up to the roof of Titans Tower and, with much difficulty, lowered the moon. Luna landed back on the roof on her hooves, but stumbled a bit. Luna could barely describe how drained and tired she felt every time she raised or lowered her moon for the past month in a half, "I bet this has something to do with Sombra..." the alicorn thought to herself as an unpleasant chill ran down her spine, and not just because of the idea of her losing control over her moon to Sombra. It was Sombra himself that made her feel this way.

Pushing all thoughts of her moon and Sombra aside, the moon goddess made her way to the common room where she wanted to be alone until everyone else in the tower awoke from their slumbers. But when Luna did arrive to the common room, she was surprised to see none other than Raven, sitting at the lounge, reading a book, and drinking herbal tea. Without looking up from her book, the empath said in her signature monotone voice, "'morning," Luna responded and sat with the woman across from her at the table, "Good morning, Raven. Why are you up so early?"

Still not looking up from her reading, Raven answered the moon princess, "I'm always up this early. I like to get some reading done before everyone else wakes up. I am guessing you are up because you had to lower the moon?" Luna nodded, before her acquaintance finally looked at her with an unreadable expression, "Speaking of which, its morning. And that means you have to answer my questions from last night," Raven could sense the mare's muscles tighten up and the feelings of nervousness, anxiety, and fear overcome Luna.

Feeling a bit guilty about getting to the point so early in the day, and doing it to a princess, Raven then decided to wait once everyone in the building were up and about. Only then would she get answers from the pony in front of her.

Soon enough, the sun was up in the sky, and the titans, Fluttershy, and Angel awake. After everyone said their good mornings and got settled around the living area, Robin spoke up, "Okay everyone, there are some things that Raven and I feel we need to discuss. Particularly with Princess Luna and Fluttershy," at the mention of their names, Luna and Fluttershy tensed up when all the titans eyes were on them. Raven began with her questions, "Okay, what did that 'thing' want with you, and why did it say 'despite it being one thousand years ago'?"

Luna took a deep breath and answered the question, "Okay well first off, I am here with Fluttershy on a dangerous mission," at this statement, the adult humans and alien grew interested in what their guest was talking about, "You see, about a week ago in Equestria, and before you ask, that is our home country in a different dimension," the titans all nodded their heads in understanding as the alicorn continued, "An old foe from our past, known as King Sombra, escaped from his imprisonment and stole five artifacts known as the Elements of Harmony, which protect our world from devastation, from the five mares who control them, and then came here to your dimension to....to.."

Trailing off, Luna turned away from the group in front of her, who were now more than interested in the tale. It was only when Luna felt a hoof on her shoulder from Fluttershy did she finish her sentence, "Huh...to do who knows what. Let's just say that when I was younger, we were pupils together for the great Star Swirl The Bearded, who was the greatest wizard of that time. That was.....1004 years ago,"

"WHAT!!!! YOU MEAN TO TELL US THAT YOU ARE 1004 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!!!!!??????" Cyborg's human eye was wide, and it's pupil had shrunk, indicating that he was in shock. Not to mention that his was wide open so much, six crows could fly in it and nest. Luna couldn't help help the little chuckle that escaped her lips, "Well, no. I'm not 1004 years old, Cyborg," at that, the robotic man gave a sigh of relief, "Oh good, I was freaking out there for a second," Luna only smirked, "I'm 1026 years old,"

Cyborg then freaked out once again, but his fellow teammates only stared at the princess in astonishment and amazement. Starfire then caught on to Luna's statement, "Wait! So that must mean you are immortal, yes?" the Princess of the Night nodded, "Yes, Starfire. I am immortal. In my world, I am what is known as an 'alicorn', which is a pony with all the pony types known as unicorn, pegasus, and earth pony. My older sister, Princess Celestia, is the ruler of Equestria and the Princess of the Sun. I am the Princess of the Moon. Together, we bring forth night and day,"

The Teen Titans just stared, dumbfounded and amazed at this new discovery. Although, they wondered weather or not Luna was telling them the truth. Then again, she WAS a horse with wings and a horn that helped save their butts the previous day AND she could talk! Thinking back, it now made a lot more sense to Robin when Luna freaked out when he spoke about the moon's absence the previous morning. Beast Boy was the first to break everyone away from their thoughts, "Dude, that is so cool!"

"Well, now it makes more sense for everything that is going on, but what about these 'Elements of Harmony'? who controls them?" Robin asked. Fluttershy's expression quickly saddened at the mention of the artifacts that could easily kill her best friends and even her if they were destroyed. Her personality change did not go un-noticed by Luna or Beast Boy, who wrapped their wing and arm over the pegasus's shoulder. The green changling didn't know why, but he felt very protective of the shy pony. He didn't know if it was his human instincts or his animal ones, but felt like he had to be gentle to the pink maned mare.

Fluttershy decided to answer this time, "...The Elements of Harmony are controlled by my five best friends. I control an element, too. My element is kindness. Twilight Sparkle, who became an alicorn princess just recently, is the Element of Magic, the strongest element of them all. Rarity is the Element of Generosity. Pinkie Pie is the Element of Laughter. Rainbow Dash is the Element of Loyalty. And Applejack is the Element of Honesty. When King Sombra took the elements except for mine, he also weakened my friends...."

The winged pony choked up a sob as she tried to hold back her tears. Luna and Beast Boy only squeezed her tighter with sad eyes. As for Robin, Raven, Cyborg, and Starfire, they just looked on at the trio with saddened expressions plastered on their aged faces. Starfire was already in tears as Robin hugged her and tried to comfort her. Heaving in a deep, ragged sigh, Fluttershy continued, "You see, according to Princess Celestia, the Elements of Harmony are connected to my friends and I by heart, soul, and spirit. If the elements were affected in anyway, then they would affect us. So, if the elements were destroyed, then my friends and I would....."

An eerie silence filled the room like the plague as the group of superheros and ponies grew silent as they drifted off into their own thoughts, comprehending what to do or to say. Fluttershy didn't need to say the word for them to understand what she meant. Even Starfire knew what it meant.

At long last, the blue moon goddess got up from her spot on the couch, getting everyone's attention and speaking, "Well, now you know everything you wanted. Thank you all for sheltering us, but Fluttershy and I now have to stop this ordeal from going any farther," with that, Luna walked out of the room, with Fluttershy, who was released from Beast Boy, and quickly followed the immortal to their room to pack. This left the five titans to sit once again in an uncomfortable silence, gazing at the door where the two mares just exited.

"We can't let them leave," Beast Boy suddenly blurted out of the blue, resulting in his friends turning to him with surprise. Even Raven was surprised, yet she had to agree with the shape-shifter, "I agree with Garfield. We can't let those two ponies leave the tower, especially Fluttershy," Beast Boy was shocked that Raven used his real name, but let it slide. His name came out just right when she said it. Robin shook his head, "I don't know, guys. Don't get me wrong, I do agree with you. It's just that I doubt that the princess and Fluttershy will let us get involved. They seem like the type of peop-or ponies who don't want any harm inflicted upon anyone,"

"But Robin, we can protect them. Please, let them stay. I know we have only known the two equins for a few days, but I feel as though our fates were meant to intwine," Starfire argued. The tanned alien was certain that having Fluttershy and Luna safe would be best. That, and she really liked the idea of having a few more girls for her and Raven to hang out with.

Raven agreed with the Tamoranion princess. She couldn't help but feel like Luna and herself were meant to meet each other and that they were connected to each other. After all, one does not simply have a dream where they meet a person, or in Raven's case, pony who you find out is a real soul and have it be a coincidence! Robin however, was still unsure.

"I don't know, Starfire..." Robin was trying to figure out what to do, but was having a difficult time. Finally, Cyborg spoke up, "Come on, man! We owe them for saving our butts yesterday. If those two horses, or ponies, or whatever they are didn't show up, we wouldn't be here right now! Besides, we could really use Luna's magic and Fluttershy could do something with her Element of Harmony thing-y!"

That must have done the trick though, because Robin agreed with his team after that. Now was the real challenge; convincing the ponies to stay with them. The titans waited in the hallway outside the common room where they knew that the alicorn princess and pegasus pony would come out with their saddlebags to leave.

The two ponies didn't want to leave the comfort or the residents of the T-shaped tower. In the few days, they've known the humans and alien, they had grown to like them and respect them. Luna especially liked Raven and Fluttershy liked Beast Boy and Starfire. as much as they didn't want to go, the girls knew that it would keep the titans safe. But when they turned the corner, they spotted the titans standing in the middle of the hallway, as if barricading it out of their way.

Luna couldn't help but narrow her eyes and ask with a stern tone in her voice, "What is the meaning of this?" Raven knelt down to Luna's level and Beast Boy knelt down to Fluttershy's, "We know that you're leaving because you don't want us to get hurt, but we don't want the same to happen to you two," Raven spoke in a surprisingly compassionate and caring tone. Beast Boy smiled down at the yellow pony in front of him, "Yeah, we owe you guys for helping us out of that mess yesterday," the shape-shifter scratched the back of his neck out of embarrassment.

Luna smiled sweetly up at the woman in front of her, and then looked to the rest of the group, "Thank you, but we do not wish to put your lives on the line for us. Fluttershy and I will handle it alone," Robin only shook his head, "We get it. We understand what you two are trying to do, but you must know that it is our job to put our lives on the line, so we can help others. And besides, this 'King Sombra' is not only threatening your world. He is threatening our world, too. We need to work together if we are going to stop him,"

Fluttershy arced an eyebrow, "You mean, like a team?" Robin only nodded and took out two communicators from his back pockets and held them out, "Well, only if you want to," the Boy Wonder said with a small smile. Cyborg gave the two mares an encouraging smile, "So, what do you say, little ladies? Want to join the Teen Titans?" Starfire waited with anticipation as she watched the two ponies. Raven and Beast Boy were still crouched beside the two, awaiting for their answer.

Luna and Fluttershy exchanged looks, asking each other mentally if the should join the team. Once they made their choice, the two nodded to each other in agreement and flew up towards Robin, who still held out the communicators. With a big grin, Luna placed her hoof on the communicator and smiled up at Robin, who smiled back, "When do we start?" she asked.

The Episode

It had been about four days since Princess Luna, Fluttershy, and Angel had arrived to the strange dimension and begun staying with the Teen Titans. Both ponies and titans were still getting use to each other, and were trying to figure out more about King Sombra. Robin had been asking the two mares nonstop if they knew any valuable information on their enemy, but Fluttershy knew nothing on the unicorn, and Luna would only snap and flare her nostrils around at him whenever Robin brought up Sombra! Along with this growing conflict, there had been unusually very little crime in the city, and any crime there was, it was quickly dealt with before the titans could react. On the bright side, this gave the superheros and ponies a chance to get to know each other more.

Beast Boy and Fluttershy were sitting on the couch in the common room. the pegasus was brushing Angel, while the green man beside her was watching a movie. Beast Boy turned his head to see that Fluttershy was humming to herself as she continued to brush the little rabbit's soft, fluffy tail. He had been noticing for the past few days that the two creatures were inseparable, and that whenever the rabbit appeared to make a face, do something with his paws, or look as though he was speaking, Fluttershy would know exactly what he was saying, doing, or gesturing. For a while, Beast Boy figured that it was probably normal for both Fluttershy and Angel to understand each other, since they were both animals. Then again, the green titan remembered on how Luna couldn't understand the rabbit. It was only Fluttershy.

Beast Boy was snapped out of his thoughts when he heard the soft, sweet voice of the mare beside him, "There you go, Angel. Aren't you glad I brushed you?" at her question, the white bunny smiled up at her, nodded, then hopped off out of the common room, probably going to mess around with Cyborg, who he loved to bother the most out of all the adult humans. Fluttershy sighed as she began to clean up around her, when her green friend asked, "So, you and that rabbit are pretty close, huh?"

The yellow-coated pony only smiled and answered, "Oh yes. Angel bunny and I have gone through so much together. Back at home at my cottage, I take care of all kinds of animals like birds, lions, bears, pigs, sheep, and so much more, but Angel was my very first animal friend," Fluttershy then gasped in realization, "Oh no! I just left them all there! Oh, who is going to take care of my animals while I'm here?" the mare began to pace back and forth, worried sick for her little animal companions back in Equestria.

As for Beast Boy, the man was dumbfounded to learn that Fluttershy, sweet, innocent Fluttershy was taking care of huge, dangerous, and scary animals back in her world. It was then that he noticed the pony had a strange tattoo on her flank. He remembered seeing a tattoo on Luna's flank, with a moon surrounded in a black surface. His mind then jolted with realization that those tattoos were more than just body art, and he wanted to know if he was right, so he asked, "Hey, do those tattoos on your uh...flank mean anything? Maybe something about animals?" He couldn't help asking, because if he was right, then Fluttershy would love to know what he could do. At his question, Fluttershy stopped in her tracks and looked at him, confused. She looked at her cutiemark and gave a small smile, "Yes, it does mean something, and it's not a tattoo, it's called a 'cutiemark'. A cutiemark tells a pony's destiny. Everypony at home has one, but some of the fillies and colts still don't. You see, your not born with a cutiemark, you have to find out what your destiny is, then it will magically appear on your flank, and then it represents what your purpose in life is," Fluttershy explained.

The changling was amazed at this new knowledge. Now it made more sense that Luna had a cutiemark with a moon, and that her destiny was raising and lowering the moon. Curiosity struck the titan as he observed the three butterflies that were his friend's cutiemark, trying to figure out what the pink-maned mare's destiny was, "So, what's your destiny, Fluttershy?" he asked out of pure curiosity. Fluttershy chuckled, "Well, it's to take care of animals! I've always felt a bit more comfortable around bunnies and geese then ponies. They usually come to me when they're hurt, or just need a good home," Fluttershy seemed to get lost in her thoughts as she remembered that happy moment when she earned her cutiemark.

Beast Boy smiled sweetly down at the winged-pony. He had a sudden respect and admiration for the mare. Both their destinies were, in a way, connected. True, he changed into any animal he wished and she could only heal and communicate with animals, but either way both man and pegasus had ties to animals that some just couldn't understand. Beast Boy knew now was a good time to bring up his own 'destiny' to his four-legged friend. However, instead of telling her, he showed her. In an instint, Beast Boy shape-shifted into a green cat, which caused Fluttershy to snap out of her daydreaming and stumble a few hoofsteps away from the green creature in front of her. Fluttershy just stared, shocked and a bit confused as she stared down at the green cat, who stared back up at her with a bit of a smirk on his face.

For a few seconds, Fluttershy was confused on where Beast Boy went, so she kept on looking around the room for any sign of the boy, but he was nowhere to be seen. Then it hit Fluttershy; Beast Boy had green skin, and there was a green cat right in front of her! Turning her head back towards the cat, who was actually Beast Boy, the pony crouched her head so that she was at eye level with the feline, and looked into his eyes. When she did, Fluttershy saw the familiar, warm presence of her green teammate and friend. With a small smile forming on her face, Fluttershy asked in a small whisper, so that only the creature she was staring at could hear, "Beast Boy?"

With a chuckle forming, the green kitten changed back into his human form, now towering over the pegasus mare with a smirk planted on his aged face, "The one and only!" Beast Boy could barely hold in his laughter at the equine's expression; her mouth was open wide in awe, her wings were hanging to the floor, and her eyes were fixated on him with wonder and bewilderment. Gaining control over himself, Beast Boy felt a bit bad that he had startled his companion into shock. With an awkward cough, the Teen Titan asked, "Uh...Flutters? Are you okay? Sorry if I-" "THAT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!" Beast Boy was cut off by Fluttershy when she screamed the statement with an unusually loud volume. With no warning, the winged-pony jumped onto the shape-shifter with great force, causing him to tumble to the ground on his back and start bombarding him with questions that were going too fast for the poor guy to answer.

"How did you do that? Can you do it again? Can anyone else do that? Can you turn into any animal? Does this mean you know what animals are thinking?" Fluttershy asked these questions like no tomorrow, which caused her to gasp for air a bit from talking so much. Once he processed all of the questions Fluttershy asked, Beast Boy began to answer them a bit nonchalantly, "It's my superpower. Yes, I can do it again. No, I'm the only one who can turn into animals. Yes, I can turn into any animal I want. Yes, I can figure out what animals are thinking, but only when I turn into an animal," once the titan was finished answering the yellow pony's questions, Fluttershy just gasped in amazement, "That is so wonderful! I...I just don't know what to say. So is your ability the reason why your skin is green?" the mare asked innocently. Beast Boy look at his arms, which could now be seen since his Doom Patrol suit grew too small and he had to get a new, short-sleeved suit, and answered, "Yeah, it's a bit of a long story. So, you didn't see me turn into an elephant when you and Luna saved us the other day?" Fluttershy only shook her head, indicating that she didn't notice.

"No. I was too busy getting Starfire, and then there was all the walls tumbling and plummeting everywhere!" Fluttershy began to shake from the memory of when she was nearly crushed by a huge concrete block right above her. Thankfully, she managed to get out of harm's way before anything else could happen.

After a moment's pause, the two titans stared at each other and smiled, "Now it makes sense why you and I get along so well!" Beast Boy said happily. Fluttershy giggled, "I agree! At least now I have someone to help me out with animals!" Fluttershy clapped her hooves in excitement. All of a sudden, both teammates heard Cyborg's yell from the garage, which was all the way down to the ground level, "ANGEL!!!!" it was clear that the small bunny had messed around with Cyborg's precious car. Fluttershy and Beast Boy shot glimpses at each other, before running off in the direction of the garage, laughing and chuckling all the way.

************************************************************************

Luna was walking down the hallway. She was in deep thought about the message from the dark smog a few days before when she and Fluttershy came to the titans aid. She only had six months to figure out what she was going to do, and though to many that may seem like a lot of time for coming up with a strategy, to Luna it would require a bit more time, "Perhaps I should discuss this matter with Robin. If anyone can come up with a battle plan, it's him," Luna thought to herself. The Night Princess had been ask several questions from the boy wonder several times concerning Sombra, but she had gotten angry and defensive when ever he brought the subject up! Truth be told, the alicorn knew that the titan was just trying to figure out what they should do, but Luna knew absolutely nothing on the matter!

Why would she? It had been over 1000 years since she had last seen the evil unicorn king! The last time she had encountered King Sombra, she had turned into her inner demon for the first time, and banished him into the unbearably freezing landscape that surrounded the Crystal Empire! With a heavy sigh, the princess walked farther down the hall with her head and ears down, not even looking where she was going. She was then brought out of her thought when she bumped into a door.

Shaking her head to clear her dazed feeling, Luna looked at the door to see that it was none other than Raven's door. Silence could be heard from inside the room when the mare leaned her ear against it. Concern filled Luna's mind when she realized that Raven had not come out of her bedroom all day. Usually, Luna would see that the empath was in the kitchen making tea, or sitting on the couch in the living area, reading. However, today the woman did none of that, not even to grab something to eat when it was lunch time. with no second thoughts, Princess Luna used her right front hoof to knock gently on the solid door, but nobody answered. This only worried the Moon Princess further, so she knocked again, this time a little bit harder, and called out her teammate's name, "Raven!" there was still no answer.

Finally, Luna couldn't take the unanswered requests any longer, so using her magic, the alicorn slid open the door with much force. What Luna saw in the room only stunned and scared her; most of the furniture in the room was floating and levitating around Raven, who was also levitating in the center of the chaos. Her eyes were nothing more but white, emotionless orbs. Luna was mortified to her spot as she continued to stare up at her friend in horror. The moon goddess had lived to see amazing new magics, enchantments, and incantations be developed, but never before had she ever seen something like this!

It shocked the princess even more when Raven, who's back was to her, began speaking in a voice that echoed and rattled everything in the space, "Soon the day will come when seven will arise and battle against a great threat! However, there shall be fear and pain along the way! The five artifacts of harmony will weaken, until at last their wielders will fall, and one shall remain! The moon will collide with darkness, and the fate of two worlds will hang in the balance! Sacrifice and love shall come, and the darkness shall declare war on all who dare to challenge it! This war will soon begin!" with that, everything in the room was thrown to different areas, including a chair that nearly smacked the Moon Princess in her face if she didn't crouch down in the doorway.

Feeling fear and worry consume her, Luna rushed over the empathic woman, flew up to her level, and grabbed ahold of her wrists with her hooves, "Raven! It's okay! It's me! Princess Luna!" for a second, Raven didn't seem to hear the winged unicorn, but slowly her eyes returned back to their violet state and the young women fell into Luna's arms. Luna gently flew over to Raven's bed, placed her timidly on it, then used her magic to pull the covers over Raven, who was now sleeping. All the while, Luna was thinking about Raven's statement and on how disturbing it truly sounded, especially the part about the five artifacts falling. The blue alicorn princess knew they must have been the five Elements of Harmony, which were currently stuck in Sombra's grasp.

Luna sighed in distress when she heard the human moan and sit up in her bed, dazed from the ordeal that had just occurred. Raven felt a sharp pain go through her body and she felt a headache, causing her to grab her head with her palm and lay back down in her bed. The superhero didn't seem to notice Luna at first, but then peaked through her fingers to see the princess, for Raven felt the emotions of worry and confusion radiating off of someone in the room. For once, the half-demon was glad that she wasn't alone.

Raven tried to collect her thoughts, when her new teammate spoke to her, clearly concerned for her, "Raven, are you alright? I came in here to check on you when I saw that you were up above the air and had many of your belongings levitating around you. Then you started speaking in a spiritual voice about a great war and five artifacts of harmony, which were no doubt the Elements of Harmony that are in King Sombra's hooves," Raven could see in Luna's eyes there was nothing but fear, confusion, and anxiety. She felt terrible due to the event that transpired less than eight minutes ago, and the fact that she had worried the immortal pony with her episode. Raven only shook her head and replied tiredly, "Sorry I worried you, princess. I don't understand what happened either, I was just trying to meditate, when I felt a strong and strange sensation wash over me, and I guess I blacked out."

Raven flashed back to about ten minutes or so before she blacked out. She was meditating on her bed, trying to steady her thoughts and keep her emotions in check from everything that was happening around her. She repeated all the events that transpired in her life for the past few days.

First, strange shadow creatures were attacking the city. Next, two talking ponies with wings and horns show up from a different dimension. Then, the titans learn that an evil unicorn king has invaded their city, and is possibly responsible for the shadow monsters! All these thought raced through her head when another thought popped inside of her mind: Beast Boy.

For the past few days, Raven had been noticing that Beast Boy was acting slightly different around her. Raven couldn't figure out what was up with him. Whenever he was close to her, the witch could feel emotions coming off of him nonstop. She could sense happiness, anxiety, excitement, fear, and something else she couldn't identify. The empath was thinking all of this in her brain when she felt the sensation wash over her in a wave, and that was when she blacked out. A few moments after she went into darkness, she was waking up in her bed with the covers over her and saw the Moon Princess looking down at her with concern.

After Luna explained the whole episode to Raven again, the two titans were in agreement that whatever had happened had something to do with King Sombra and the Elements of Harmony, "Do you think we should tell Fluttershy?" Raven asked. She felt as though they owed it to the small, shy mare to let her know their theory, but Luna thought otherwise, "No. We don't know for sure what your message meant. It could be nothing that has to do with the Elements of Harmony, and besides-" Luna walked over to a nearby window that had it's curtains open and looked down to see none other than Fluttershy, trotting with her pet rabbit on her head, with Beast Boy running beside her in the form of a dog with a baseball in his mouth. Luna watched as she witnessed the pegasus take the ball from the green-haired dog, and threw it across the beach, with Beast Boy chasing after it.

"I don't want to worry or upset her if we are wrong. Once we both know for sure that what you said is true, then we will let her know," the immortal finished as she saw the green canine return and plop the slobbery ball in front of the equine. Raven stood beside Luna, looking down at the trio, but was looking more specifically at Beast Boy. She then remembered her thoughts about the green man from before her ordeal and wandered what they could possibly mean. Princess Luna noticed Raven's stare at the green german shepard and couldn't help but smile and roll her eyes. Oh, how she was going to love telling Fluttershy this!

All of a sudden, the two females were abruptly shaken out of their observing by a flashing red light shining over head! It was the same light from a few days ago. Only this time, it was accompanied by Robin's urgent voice over the intercom, "Titans trouble! GO!!!"
