This story is about the royal sisters and main 6 in a adventure to find a fallen king and meet a new pony named Moonlight
Luna just couldn't sleep and took a flight seeing a poor pony being attacked she save the pony only to learn something shocking and go on a quest to find King Sombra to get some answers. she is joined by Celestia, Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, PinkePie, Applejack, Rarity and a strange pony named Moonlight Eclipse!
Luna shifted in her bed growling and grumbling. Luna couldn't sleep she just stood their awake thinking about Nightmare moon. It had been at least a year after Twilight and her friends save Luna from Nightmare moons grasp and sometimes Luna had really bad nightmares of being Nightmare moon again.
Luna's sister Celestia kept telling Luna “Everything fine, I am here for you Lulu " and this helped Luna, but something kept knocking in the back of Luna's mind. Luna got out of the bed in a huff and trotted to her balcony doors opening them and trotting onto the balcony. Luna spread her wings and leaped off the balcony and took flight. Flying helped Luna clear her mind and she loved the wind in her mane even though her mane always looked like it was in the wind. Luna flew over the castle and over the meadow near Everfree forest and heard,
“Get away from me you wolves!”
Luna dove down to the sound and saw a pony blasting away Timberwolves. Luna saw a wolf tackle the pony and heard AHH as the wolf started tearing into her sides and blood pour from the wounds. Luna flew in and kicked the Timberwolves away and made a huge blast killing 4 and scaring away the last 3 she turned to the pony on the ground crying in pain. Luna put pressure on the wound and the pony screamed.
"St-stop it hur-ts!” Luna didn't respond her horn touched the ponies wound's and a wrap of cloth wrapped itself around the claw and bite marks. The cloth started to turn red from the blood but soon stopped. Luna looked at the pony who was asleep breathing heavily, “Must have passed out from screaming and pain” Luna said worried “I am going in get Twilight and her friends to help” Luna said sending a message.
Twilight was reading her book as spike was making some nachos. Then Twilight heard a loud "Burp" and Twilight looked up from her book and saw spike running into the room flaring a scroll around in his claw “Twilight! Twilight! It’s from Princess Luna!" Spike said. Twilight took the scroll in her magic and read it over.
“Oh my Celestia!” Twilight exclaimed running out of her castle.
Twilight and her friends rushed over to the meadow where Luna held the pony in her hooves “Luna! We came as soon as we heard."Twilight said looking at the pony.
“Dude! She looks like she in deep pain” Rainbow said worrier slightly in his tone.
“Oh my!” Fluttershy said loudly as if she saw an animal get hurt. Luna looked at the 6 friends.
“Ok, did any of you get some first aid?” Luna said.
“Yes, I got mine” Fluttershy said taking it out of her saddle bag “Ok, Princess Luna please remove the bandage” Fluttershy said.
“Ok, but this is a really bad sight so if you don't like blood don't look “Luna said looking at the group. Luna slowly removed the bandage and the group gasped at the wounds, the pones left side was clawed badly and a gash was on her shoulder blade, Rarity turned away looking green, Rainbow Dash and AppleJack just stared, Twilight, Pinkiepie and Fluttershy gasped and Luna shudder slowly. “This is much worse than I thought....” Fluttershy said still looking at the wounds “let’s bring her to my cottage.”
The group was is the living room of Fluttershys cottage, waiting to hear the news on the new pony,
“I hope the pony is alright I really hope so " Luna said looking at her hooves worried.
“We can all hope for the best “Twilight said a wing around Luna.
Then they heard the creek of the door and Fluttershy trotted down the stairs blood on her hooves,
“She is going to be fine “Fluttershy said but something was off about the tone she used.
” There is something you all need to see... ". The group trotted up the stairs and trotted into the dark room.
“Now, don't freak out this could be a coincidence...” Fluttershy said flicking on the lamp and tapping the pony on the shoulder waking her up.
The pony lifted herself up looking at the group of pones " Oh......my....goddess... “Luna said looking at the pony, Twilight and the rest of them gasped, the pony before them had a dark grey coat and a dark grey horn with it fading into a red tip, she had a black mane with what looked like stars in them and it flowed like there was a wind in it even though there was no wind in the room, her eyes where green with turquoise pules and she had a cutie mark of blue smoke coming off of a silver moon.
“Meet Moonlight Eclipse...” Fluttershy said looking at her flabbergasted friends.
“Hello, everypony...” said Moonlight her voice was kind of dark but sweet, she sounded scared.
“Yo-you look like So-somb" Luna said shuddering the words from her shock
“Are you a princess?” Applejack asked also in shock.
“OH MY CELESTIA YOU LOOK LIKE SOMBRA!!!” PinkiePie said jumping up and down.
Moonlight looked scared hearing all these questions and backed up falling onto the floor with a loud THUD, Fluttershy went so help her but Moonlight pushed herself in the corner and softly whimpered, Luna got a little closer to Moonlight but she whimpered louder showing she was scared.
Luna bent down and said “Shh... it’s alright Moonlight Eclipse we aren't going to hurt you...”
Moonlight looked at Luna but still shook in fear "Do you kn-know who i a-am?" Moonlight asked shaking.
Luna shook her head "No, who are you?" Luna asked sounding confused.
Moonlight took a deep breath to keep her from shuddering "I'm Moonlight Eclipse, y-y-your daughter"
The pones in the room didn't believe what they just heard and they all stood in shock they just looked at Moonlight, then at Luna then back to Moonlight, They just stood there.
Luna looked shocked at Moonlight Eclipse "M-m-mother.........!" Moonlight looked at Luna and slowly nodded "Yes, I am your daughter..." said Moonlight. Twilight looked at her friends then at Luna and Moonlight "H-how is this possible...." Twilight said not talking to anypony inparticulate " Ask the one I once called Father.. "Moonlight said in a grave tone looking away from the other pones, Luna still in shock ask "Is Sombra your father Moonlight Eclipse......"
Moonlight only kept her gaze the other way in shame of Sombra being her father. Luna sighed "Please tell me Moonlight..." Moonlight faced Luna "Yes, he is my father." Moonlight said and silently paused looking at the 7 shocked faces, well, only 6 shocked faces, Pinkiepie's face was more like a silent understanding "I see.." said Pinkiepie. Everypony turned to look at the pink mare "How do you understand Pinkiepie?" asked Twilight.
"Well, when Princess Luna was younger and Sombra wasn't so evil and stuff they were tottaly going out and they had Moonlight, well Princess Celestia was all like nu uh! And Princess Luna gave Moonlight to Sombra and Sombra turned all evil and stuff so Princess Luna couldn't kill him because they where in love so she juat banished him and so Princess Celestia got rid of Luna's memory and along with everyone who knew who Moonlight Eclipse was including Princess Celestia herself and so she grew up alone until Sombra came back then we killed him then he came back again and now is gonna try doing evil things again and it's going to be really really bad!" Pinkiepie said then had a huge smile.
Everyponys jaws hung open in amazement.
"Wha-" was all Moonlight was able to say before Applejack put a hoof to her muzzle.
"Don't ask how or why she knows this just go with it" Applejack said removing her hoof.
Everypony looked at Moonlight and just stared at her, then at Luna, then back at Moonlight. This was unbelievable, the resemblance was amazing, but what was more amazing than Moonlight looking like Luna was the fact that she looked like Sombra too. Moonlight Eclipse, daughter of Princess of the Night, Luna, and The umbreonic dark King, Sombra, that was almost too much.
"How do we know you speak the truth Moonlight!" Twilight asked looking at Moonlight.
"If i wasn't how did your pink friend come up with such a story?" Moonlight retorted.
Twilight blinked once, twice, three times before she realized that this had to be true, the Pinkiepie scence never failed! Twilight looked at her speechless friends, then to Luna who was pasting back and forth, thats how Luna thought. She looked up at Moonlight a few times before going back into her thinking session, Luna made little noises and after awhile she pasted faster then stopped all of a sudden. Luna looked at Moonlight and held her breath,
"We must talk with my sister and find out if this is true...." Luna said loudly sighing.
"Ok whats the problem with that?" Rainbowdash asked Luna looking confused on why this was such a big deal.
"Rainbow this is a HUGE problem! This is Luna's child that Celestia got rid of and doesn't know about anymore!" Twilight exclaimed at Rainbowdash.
"Fluttershy? Could you please get a cloak so we can cover Moonlight Eclipse?" Luna asked Fluttershy who was sitting in the corner talking to Rarity and Pinkiepie.
"Yes, it would be best" Fluttershy said looking at Moonlight "No offence!"
"A little taken" Moonlight said still backing into the corner, not of fear anymore, but of being uncomfortable around so many pones.
Fluttershy came back with a black cloak and the 8 pones headed out of Fluttershy's cottage. Luna called her night guards and they came with carriages and took the pones to Canterlot one eyeing Moonlight, probably trying to find out who she was. After a long flight to the castle they finial arrived, they all stepped out and thanked the guards, everypony but Moonlight who kept her head down trotting along side Luna. They trotted into the castle to find Celestia swiftly totting closer to the group, without a word Celestia embrassed Luna,
"Luna! When you go out for so long, tell me! You missed your duty in raising the moon so I had to, give me a good, and I mean GOOD explanation!" Celestia said scolding her younger sister.
"The truth?" Luna said gulping and giving a sheepish smile with a nervous chuckle, "And it has to be a good explanation..."
"Celestia looked at the group of pones, Twilight looking at her hooves, Rainbowdash whistling nervously, Rarity and Fluttershy messing with their mains, Pinkepie and Applejack looking around trying now to make eye contact and a new pony in a dark cloak. Celestia turned to her sister and saw her uneasy look, they were sisters and Celestia knew if Luna was lying or was really nervous,
"Luna whats going on....?" Celestia asked Luna with a questioning look in her pink eyes.
"Well...uh..eheh...so..I..well" Luna said trying to find the right words.
"Luna.....whats going on?" Celestia said with a more firm tone.
"Would it be better if we showed her Princess Luna?" Twilight asked Luna.
"Show me what? Im starting to get a little uneasy.." Celestia said looking at the pones now getting really nervous at there uneasy looks and movements.
Before anypony could do anything Moonlight took off the cloak and gave a audible gulp, her cloak fell reveling herself to Celestia. Everypony looked at Celestia who looked at Luna with a mixed emotion look in her eyes,
"Luna..........." Celestia said looking at her sister's turquoise eyes.
"Meet Moonlight Eclipse......my daughter..." Luna said completely looking at her sister now.
Celestia looked at her sister and gave a smile,"Luna....come in the corridor?"
"......why......?" Luna asked having a sheepish smile plastered on her face.
"You really wanna know..?" Celestia said in gritted teeth, anger fumed in her eyes.
"Do I have a choice?" Luna said trying not to be played a fool in front of the elements and her 'daughter'.
Celestia's smile only grew a little more, "No you dont...." Celestia's eyes now peering into Luna's pleading eyes for help, nopony dared to give Luna a hoof now.
Luna only gave a sheepish smile again and the royal sisters trotted into the corridor infront of them. The other pones worried on how this would go and stood at the tip of there hooves waiting to hear what would become next. The sound of hooves trotting on the marble floor came to a halt and the only sound that came from the castle than the breathing of the 7 on-edge pones in the room was a hard smacking sound. Everypony winced at the sound of such a hard hit, as time passed they heard some arguing and some more arguing until something was said to make the other hush.
"I think this is going well..." Moonlight said looking in the direction of Twilight.
"Oh yes, all my conversations start good with a hard smack" Twilight said in a playful sarcastic tone, everypony began to laugh.
" To tell you the honest truth, this might be a bad scene but that doesn't mean you cant make it better" Applejack said chuckling.
Moonlight gave a small smile, "Guess that's true...but..what if the scene is really bad?" Moonlight asked curios to know what Applejack was going to answer with.
"Well Moonlight let me tell you something.." Twilight said a smile on her muzzle, "For you see Moonlight, darkness must have light for if you didn't have light how did you find yourself in darkness in the first place? With that being said all darkness must have light, so in you darkest hour always look for that little light even if you dont think you see it".
Moonlight's smile widened, "Keep it in mind" she said with a soothing smile.
After some time of talking with moonlight and what could happen next Luna and Celestia trotted into the room again,
"Sorry for the wait everypony we need to 'check' something and it turns out Moonlight is infact daughter of Luna and Sombra, but there is a issue I must ask about.." Celestia looked at Moonlight worrie in her eyes, "Why are you here?".
"The only reason I am here is because Sombra has returned and has threatened to "take back what belongs to him", I dont even know what it even means" Moonlight said worried.
"The our evidence is here, Sombra has indeed come back..." Celestia said gravely".
"Didn't we kill him already?" Rainbowdash ask zooming up.
"Not all of him, if any part of him is here then he can come again...that's why he is a difficult foe.." Luna said little sparks of worries igniting.
"Maybe we could attack him now, while he is not expecting it! Rainbowdash said proudly.
"That might work! He isn't at full power yet so it could be easy if we did it now, I eve know where he is..!" Moonlight said poping at the seems of the idea.
"That is a good plan..." Luna said out loud thinking of other possibilities.
"We are going to need a back up plan if thats the case..." Twilight said, "He is weak right now...the distance Moonlight came from was far away and Sombra could regain strength before we get to his location..."
"Luna and I know a spell that could stop him from gaining strength, but if we do that we would have to choose something of us to lose for the time hes weak.." Celestia said looking at Luna.
Luna nodded, "In simple terms when a unicorn dose this spell it loses its magic when the person it castes it upon is weak, good for battles..but..leave the other party with no magic..".
Fluttershy trotted up shyly, "Y-you said, "Lose apart of you magic", correct? Well your alicorns so you could just lose something that you could spare like your flight?" Fluttershy said meekly.
"Yes, we could! Sombra being weak we wouldn't really need all our power so losing our flight wouldn't be much a issue!" Luna said , a smile growing on her muzzle.
Celestia nodded, "Alright, Twilight, could you help? Flight doesn't have much magic and this spell takes alot, with your flight we could cast the spell without losing more than needed.." Celestia asked looking at Twilight.
"Anything" Twilight said trotting with Celestia and Luna.
As the princess trotted away Rainbowdash jumped infront of the others, "Alright! We are going to help in anyway we can right?".
Everypony nodded in union,
"Good! Applejack and Pinkiepie your incharge of the food and water for the adventure, I will get medical supplies for the adventure, Rarity you get blankets and tents for the adventure, NO HUGE PINK TENTS!" Rainbowdash said with a authorized tone in her voice, "Fluttershy stay here with Moonlight in case anything happens".
Fluttershy nodded and smiled at Moonlight, "Lets check on the princess.."
