They're a little quirky, but overall nice

Sunset introduces the gang to some friends she made at her part time job. They're kinda dead though.

[Dark because of FNAF's backstory]

There have always been rumors around Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. One day Rainbow's friend Gilda from the Everfree Academy dares her to spend a night at the infamous pizza place. Incidentally, Sunset was working as the Night Guard at the restaurant. Due to the circumstances, she will have no choice, but to introduce her two groups of friends to each other.

But first, she and the animatronics need to deal with this "thief" that sneaked into the restaurant.

Rainbow looked up from behind the curtains in pirate's cove, as finally the manager of the place finally left the child restaurant. Rainbow Dash waited a little more, until she could hear the main doors closed throughout the empty hallways.

"Hehe, thanks for letting me stay here." She petted the apparently broken Foxy animatronic on the shoulder, before jumping off the small stage. Dusting off her skirt, she took out her phone and used the video call function. A couple of seconds later, her old friend Gilda picked up.

"Hey G, guess where I am?" Rainbow swung the camera around.

"Haha, holy shit Dash, I didn't thing you'd actually do it."

"Hehe, I hope you already got your paycheck, 'cause I'm gonna be real hungry tomorrow."

"Really?" Gilda raised an eyebrow. "I thought you'd stuff yourself with the pizzas they have in the kitchen."

"Oh please, that'll be just the appetizer." Rainbow laughed.

"Yeah, yeah. How should I know, you don't just get out and go home?" Gilda asked.

"Hello? My home is like on the other side of the town and it's storming outside. I was lucky to get a bus that was still driving, ya know?"

"Okay, okay, I get it. You're stuck. Jeez, no need to rub it in more than necessary." Gilda mumbled. "I hope you have fun making new friends."

"Who, these guys?" Rainbow swung the camera over to the inactive animatronics. "They aren't even moving an inch. I was hiding in that place where the Fox is and he didn't react in any way. Just a bunch of rumors going wild."

"Ah, too bad. Anyways, I still need to hit the shower before I hit the sack. See you on the flip side, dweep."

"Yeah, yeah, you too bird brain." Rainbow Dash hung up and put her phone into her pocket. "Now where is the bathroom."

Unknown to her, the three animatronics on the main stage glared after her. The only reason they didn't move was because of the programming of their bodies.

Sunset Shimmer came out of the kitchen, a soda in one hand and a self made salad in the other hand. Seriously, the owner was a very lenient person, especially to her. She was the longest night guard since the infamous bite of 1987. Since it the insurance agency wouldn't cover Fazbear Entertainment in case something happens, unless they had a day and night guard, Sunset had a lot of freedom with her job. She could do her homework here, read a book, the only thing she needed to do was to check the cameras every once in a while. Of course there was always a catch...

"Sup guys." Sunset greeted the animatronics. "I need to get to my office real quick and make a call to the manager. I'll be right- hey, what's up with you guys? Did the kids try to take you apart again today?" Sunset knew she couldn't expect any kind of answer right now.

"Anyways, I'll be back soon. Just need to make a quick call and then I come back and we can talk about whatever is bothering you." Sunset walked down the hallway, leaving the animatronics alone. Sadly the only parts they could operate outside of their free roaming mode time was their faces. And then again, the only thing they could say were things pre-recorded in their voice boxes.

Sunset in the meantime, placed her stuff on the small table inside the office. She grabbed the old phone and started dialing the number of her manager. It rang a few times, until the manager finally picked up. "What is it Sunset? I'm driving."

"There's an old animatronic suit in the kitchen." she informed the manager.

"A suit in the kitchen? What the hell would it be doing there?!"

"I don't know, I just found it there." Sunset replied.

"Alright, what kind of suit is it?"

"It looks like Freddy, but it's golden instead of brown."

There was a pause on the line.

"Golden you say?" the man asked.

"Yup. What should I do about it?"

"N-nothing." the manager sounded nervous. "I-I'll have the staff bring i-it back into the basement. I-It's actually a very old suit, used b-back before 87."

"Alright?" Sunset knew better than to push the subject of 87. The manager tried to avoid this topic and when pushed, he could get really mad.

"Well, that's all I wanted to say. Good night, sir."

"'N-night, Shimmer."

*BOOP* *BOOP* *BOOP*

Sunset sighed, placing the phone back. Out of habit, she activated the tablet and checked the cameras, while she was on "unlimited" power for the house.

"They still didn't fix the kitchen camera?" she grumbled, switching to the restrooms. She was about to put the thing down, when she noticed a shadow coming out of the girl's room. At first she thought it was Freddy, trying to get her to jump again, but then she noticed the clock on the tablet and it stated: 23:48.

"A visitor?" Sunset asked. "So that's why they're so mad. Probably some thug, trying to steal some money. Not on my watch, buddy. Or girly, I guess."

Putting the tablet aside, Sunset sprinted down the hallway, giving Foxy a run for his money, and approached the stage area.

"I saw his or her shadow on the cameras. That's why you're so mad, aren't you? Smile if I'm right."

They smiled and Sunset smiled back.

"Let's show them what we do to thieves in our restaurant. Okay, listen.-"

Rainbow Dash got out of the bathroom, finally. The problem she had had, was that the only light source had been the light from the hallway. The switch inside the restroom was not working at all.

Glad that this was over, she wandered back to the main area, sitting down at one of the tables and looking at the animatronics.

"And kids come here to watch these guys? Jeez."

Making it herself comfortable, she placed her feet on the table, only for her to fall of the chair, when she heard the ringing of a phone coming through the speakers on stage. Groaning, Rainbow Dash stood up, glaring the speakers, until there was a pickup sound.

"Hello, hello? Uh, I wanted to record a message for you, to help you get settled in on your first night. Um, I actually worked in that office before you. I'm finishing up my last week now, as a matter of fact. So, I know it can be a bit overwhelming, but I'm here to tell you there's nothing to worry about. Uh, you'll do fine. So, let's just focus on getting you through your first week. Okay?"

"What the hell is that?" Rainbow wondered aloud.

"Uh, let's see, first there's an introductory greeting from the company that I'm supposed to read. Uh, it's kind of a legal thing, you know. Um, "Welcome to Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. A magical place for kids and grown-ups alike, where fantasy and fun come to life. Fazbear Entertainment is not responsible for damage to property or person. Upon discovering that damage or death has occurred, a missing person report will be filed within 90 days, or as soon property and premises have been thoroughly cleaned and bleached, and the carpets have been replaced."

"Wait, what?!"

"Blah blah blah..."

"Yeah, right. Are you freaking kidding me?! Even I can tell that that's just totally wrong!"

"Now, that might sound bad, I know, but there's really nothing to worry about. Uh, the animatronic characters here do get a bit quirky at night, but do I blame them? No."

"Quirky?" Rainbow glanced up to the animatronics.

"If I were forced to sing those same stupid songs for twenty years and I never got a bath? I'd probably be a bit irritable at night too. So, remember, these characters hold a special place in the hearts of children and we need to show them a little respect, right? Okay."

"Respect, huh? I think I know what I'm going to wear next Halloween."

"So, just be aware, the characters do tend to wander a bit."

"Wander?! What do you mean wander?!?!"

"Uh, they're left in some kind of free roaming mode at night. Uh...Something about their servos locking up if they get turned off for too long. Uh, they used to be allowed to walk around during the day too. But then there was The Bite of '87. Yeah. I-It's amazing that the human body can live without the frontal lobe, you know?"

Rainbow Dash gulped. She was far from being an expert, but she knew the frontal lobe was part of the brain. At least it sounded like it would belong to a brain.

"Uh, now concerning your safety, the only real risk to you as a night watchman here, if any, is the fact that these characters, uh, if they happen to see you after hours probably won't recognize you as a person."

"That means what exactly?"

"They'll most likely see you as a metal endoskeleton without its costume on. Now since that's against the rules here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, they'll probably try to...forcefully stuff you inside a Freddy Fazbear suit."

"Wait, that's it?"

"Um, now, that wouldn't be so bad if the suits themselves weren't filled with crossbeams, wires, and animatronic devices, especially around the facial area. So, you could imagine how having your head forcefully pressed inside one of those could cause a bit of discomfort...and death. Uh, the only parts of you that would likely see the light of day again would be your eyeballs and teeth when they pop out the front of the mask, heh."

Rainbow's face turned completely green.

"Y-Yeah, they don't tell you these things when you sign up. But hey, first day should be a breeze. I'll chat with you tomorrow. Uh, check those cameras, and remember to close the doors only if absolutely necessary. Gotta conserve power. Alright, good night."

The "phone call" ended. Rainbow Dash didn't care as to why there was a phone call coming out of the speakers of the stage area, she just knew one thing. She needed to get the hell out of this so called restaurant. She was about to make a mad dash into the storm, when she noticed that there were only two animatronics on the stage left. The bunny thing was gone.

Rainbow Dash jumped, when she heard a door creaking. It came from the opposite side of the room. Summoning all of her courage, she made her way towards where the sound came from, while at the same time keeping an eye on the other two animatronics. Man, she was just glad that the fox thing was out of order.

At the end, she found herself in front of an half open door, which had a sign hanging on it: Employees only. Curious, Rainbow Dash pushed the door open, silently cursing, as it creaked at the motion. She needed to clasp her mouth shut, when an animatronic head came into her vision. In the dim light, she could also see some kind of robot lying on the table. It must have been one of those endo-things.

Wait, didn't the guy said something about the robots putting those endos into costumes, when they see one? Maybe it's just-

Before Rainbow Dash could finish her train of thought, a purple hand grabbed the leg of the robot and pulled it from the table, making a loud *CLANG* sound. Curiously and a little shaky, that much Rainbow will admit, she peaked out of the corner and into the room. What she found was the bunny robot, which had been missing and it was stuffing the thing rather forcefully into the suit.

Shit!

Rainbow decided not to push her luck and ran down the hallway, towards the exit. It was locked.

"Damn it!" Rainbow kicked a few times against the door, but it didn't budge. She was just about to give it another try, when she suddenly heard something being thrown down. Rainbow Dash spun around and found someone or rather something walking down the hall. In the flickering light, she could make out the silhouette of the bunny.

"Damn!" the girl frantically looked around and found an office next to her. There was another door at the end, which lead to another hallway. Not wasting any time, the athlete ran that way and then turned left. On her way through, she noticed something saying "Security".

"I bet the guy quit already." she muttered under her breath. Rainbow Dash opened the door and slammed it shut. She found herself in a dark room, where something was humming for some reason. After finally finding the light switch, the high school girl found out what was up. She was in the kitchen of the place and the humming came from the freezer and the refrigerator.

Maybe I should make myself some coffee. I'm gonna need the caffeine. What's up with this place anyway? Urrgh, I bet the dumb manager locked the place, so those creepy ass robots don't escape this place.

Hmm...no one's following me. she looked out of the window.

Maybe they got an energy drink here. No wait, this is a place for kids. Guess coke might as well do the the trick.

Rainbow Dash made her way around the stoves towards the refrigirator and opened it. To her displeasure that was not the place where they had their drinks stored. Frowning, she shut the door and was about to think of her next step, when she found a golden suit lying on the ground.

"AHH!" she jumped backwards, grabbing a kitchen knive that just happened to lay around. "What the hell?!"

It took her a moment to realize that the suit wasn't moving. However, she continued to point her knive at the suit for five more minutes, before slowly making her way towards it. Carefully and with a trembling hand, she reached out for the head and pushed it slightly upwards. Almost immediately she jumped backwards. The head wiggled a little, but somehow didn't fall.

"Oh, it's empty." Rainbow breathed a sigh of relief. "What's it doing here though? Eh, doesn't matter. Maybe I can hide here somewhere?"

"Hehehehehehehe...."

The sudden sound of a child giggling, caught Rainbow's attention. She looked back to the empty golden suit.

Did it just...? No way. I'm losing it at this rate.

The girl wasn't so sure anymore if it was a good idea to hide in the kitchen. While she debated with herself, whether to stay or to go, the door on the other side of the room opened with a *creak*.

"Uuuuuuhhhhh...." It sounded like someone was holding on to their last breaths, when the chicken entered the room. It immediately spotted Rainbow Dash and raised its arms, like you see in the old zombie movies.

"Oh, come on! You can open doors!" Rainbow didn't waste any time and ran down the hallway.

And since when do chicken have teeth?! she thought frantically, while entering the guard's office once again. In her panic she had forgotten about the purple bunny, but luckily the thing wasn't there anymore.

The girl then quickly realized that she was basically trapped. Oh sure, the exit was just a few steps away, but the door was still locked. She might be able to break the thing open eventually, but she was not going to try her luck. But staying at the office wouldn't do her any good either! Even if there were doors, those robots were smart enough to open them!

"Damn it!" the high school girl exclaimed, punching the wall. In her rage, she accidentally hit one of the two buttons, causing a steel door to drop down in front of her.

"What the fuck?!"

Rainbow knocked at the door. Yup, that was some fine steel right there.

"Uhhhhhh......."

Rainbow spun around, but couldn't find anything in the dark hallway. She noticed two more buttons on the other side and pushed the upper one. Lights began to flicker and the chicken robot was about to enter the office. With the reflexes of a snake, Rainbow pushed the second button, causing the door to slam shut.

"Phew." the girl wiped the sweat off her face. "Haha, can't get me now stupid robots!" she shouted.

Through the window she could see the chicken robot leaving the hallway, going back to the kitchen. Rainbow made it herself comfortable in the chair and put her feet on the desk. She thought that taking a nap sounded like a good idea, when she noticed one of the monitors.

It read: Power left 85%

Power usage: [Two green blocks and a yellow one]

"Oh, fuck me, anal."

In the meantime, Sunset Shimmer was hiding in her boss' office. The room could only be accessed by a door behind the show stage and wasn't shown on the camera map. Incidentally it also wasn't installed into the animatronics' internal maps, meaning for her friends that they could see her, but couldn't enter the office. They're bodies would just stop and turn around.

"It's a woman?" Sunset asked, looking at the drawing Bonny made. It was only a stickman, but with some features only female humans had. "So much for statistics..." the girl muttered, looking at the second drawing.

"So, she's discovered the office and closed the doors, huh? Well, chances are she already discovered the camera system." Sunset put a hand under her chin, thinking.

"It's still a couple of hours until 6. Unless she discovers that this building has limited power at night, we'll be able to flush her out really fast. But I think we can stress her out even more."

Bonny titled his head, as if asking: "What do you mean?"

"Alright Bonny. I need you to give Foxy the signal. Then you need to come back and hit me."

The bunny suited animatronic stared at Sunset aghast. The girl didn't even know the animatronics could pull of that face.

Rainbow Dash actually did not discover the camera system. Instead, she peaked into the hallways and every so often would use one of the lights. So far she had been lucky. None of the robots was coming after her, but instead of decreasing, it just increased her anxiety. If at least one of them was with her, she wouldn't be asking herself constantly where the hell the robots were right now.

After checking the right hallway for what seemed to be the one hundreth time, the girl slumped back into the chair, hoping that this was all just a stupid nightmare and that she would soon wake up, probably noticing that she had fallen asleep next to the fox thing.

"Stupid be. I should have taken Gilda with me. At least she could check the other hallway."

Getting up again, Rainbow Dash went back to her routine of first checking the left and then the right hallway. Since she didn't see anything coming from the left one, she went to the right, even using the light switch. Too late she could hear the sounds of rapid, heavy footsteps coming from the left hall. By the time she turned around, the fox was already inside the office, screaming.

"AHHHHHHHH!"

"Gah!"

This time the athlete didn't react quick enough and the fox managed to get a grip on her wrist.

"Ow! Let! Go! You! Stupid! Robot!"

With each word, she gave the pirate fox a kick in the stomach. The only thing that happened however was the sound of her boots hitting metal.

The fox didn't seem to be fazed in the least. Instead of reacting in any way, it started pulling the girl through the hallway, back towards the main area of the restaurant. Rainbow struggled as much as she could, which only resulted in hurting her wrist against the metal hand of the robot. One time, she managed to throw a small, wooden crate against her "kidnapper". She hit the back of its head and the mask fell off. However, showing some skill, the fox used his hook to pick up the mask and put it back onto its head.

When they arrived at the main area, Rainbow saw that three out of the four robots were there. The bear thing had come down the stage and was standing next to a open bunny suit. Even in the dimn light, Rainbow could see all the crossbeams and wires inside the suit.

"Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh-"

"Gah!"

"Huh?"

The sudden exclamation hadn't come from Rainbow, but rather from behind the stage. When the rainbow hair colored girl looked, she saw the missing bunny and it was crarrying someone in its arms! There wasn't much to see, the face was covered by a purple jacket. But there were clearly bloodstains on the purple jacket, from where the forehead was covered! Then something fell out of the pocket of the jacket. It was a golden badge.

The security guard?! Where the hell has he been?! Oh god-fuck, they're bringing him to the spare parts room! I bet they have another suit ready for him! Shit, I need to get away, somehow!

"Let me go you jerks!" Rainbow shouted so loud, her voice could be heard through the entire building.

“Rainbow Dash?”

The voice snapped Rainbow out of her panic and even the animatronics turned their heads towards the source of the voice. The “body” under the purple jacket began moving. A hand was raised and the jacket removed, revealing none other than Sunset Shimmer.

“S-SUNSET?!” Rainbow exclaimed in confusion and fright.

Sunset for her part, jumped out of Bonny’s arms and threw the jacket over a nearby chair.

“You can let go of her now. She’s a friend of mine.”

Without question, Foxy let go of the sport captain’s wrist, who instinctively rubbed it, in order to get the blood flowing again. She frantically looked around the animatronics in a slight panic, awaiting for any of them to try and get her again.

“Rainbow Dash, calm down!” Sunset Shimmer quickly walked up to her friend and wrapped her arms around the rainbow haired girl.

“Calm down.” she said a little more toned down. “Nothing is going to happen to you, I promise.”

In addition she gently rubbed the back of her friend, like Fluttershy would do with her animals. This may have been a little bit of violating the personal space of her friend, but after what Rainbow had just gone through, she might need every help she could get.

After 10 minutes of just staying there and hugging each other, Rainbow finally said, with a strained voice: “I’m fine.”

Sunset knew her friend was anything but fine, yet she also knew that there was no arguing with Rainbow, once she felt like her pride was at stake.

“Would you guys mind, giving us a few minutes? I’ll call you back later.”

The animatronics looked at each other and then left the the main room. Once they were outside, Sunset led her friend to one of the tables and both sat down next to each other.

“Sunset” Rainbow looked over to her friend, her face showing distress and no short amount of ‘I’m ready to kick your ass!’

“What the hell is going on?” she asked in a dangerous low tone.

The fiery haired girl flinched, but began explaining. “I saw a shadow on the cameras. You might have guessed, I’m working part-time as a security guard here. I couldn’t really make you out, if I had, none of this would have happened. I’m sorry, Rainbow.”

“Sorry? SORRY?! YOU ALMOST KILLED ME!”

Rainbow grabbed Sunset by the shirt and readied her fist. “Give me ONE good reason NOT to beat you up!”

“Nnghg! We were never going to kill you! I thought you were a burglar, so I played the phone tape on the boxes on stage and told the animatronics to give you the scare of your life, before we would call the cops!”

The girl, dearly hoped she hadn’t spoken too quickly. She could have easily given Pinkie Pie a run for her money. Rainbow for her part stared at the Equestrian for a seemingly endless minute, before she dropped the unicorn back onto her chair.

“Alright.” Rainbow Dash took a deep breath. She was no Applejack, but Sunset didn’t look like she was lying. That didn’t mean that Rainbow understood one thing her friend had told her.

“Mind telling me from the beginning again?” the sports girl asked.

Sunset nodded, readjusting her clothes already.

“Okay, but, bear in mind, this story will sound pretty unbelievable.”

“Unbelievable?” Rainbow echoed. “You’re a fucking unicorn, for fuck’s sake.”

Sunset rolled her eyes.

“Uh huh. You already know that the animatronics here need to run around at night, else they won’t work properly.”

“Yes?”

“Well, the phone tape I played was from one of the previous night guards, you see.”

“Wait.” Rainbow interjected. “So the previous guy tried to play a prank on you.”

Sunset looked down to the ground.

“...No. He tried to warn everyone that came after him. He died on his last week. I heard it on the phone.”

Rainbow’s face became whiter than Rarity’s skin.

“He’s not the only one.” Sunset continued. “I did a little researched. There were a couple of missing guards reported over the years. Not too many. Most quit after the first night or stay a week, if they’re desperate for money.”

She sighed.

“Initially when I found out about the missing guards and the company trying to cover everything up, I wanted to go to the police. I didn’t really care what would happen to me. With me having no ID, the worst they could have done is to put me in an orphanage.”

“Wait, wait, wait! That doesn’t make any sense! I mean, those anima...robots. They’re...I mean, they didn’t try to kill you. Heck, they even listened to you! What kind of A.I. is that?”

The other girl couldn’t help but chuckle.

“Here’s where the story goes really crazy. You see, the first night was for me like for any other nightguard. They did try to kill me.” she explained.

Rainbow leaned forward, as if she was hearing a good story.

“However, something weird happened. You see, I was ready to quit after surviving the first night, however, I forgot some pretty important stuff here. I thought I could go and grab it, before midnight. As it turned out my watched had stopped ticking and I didn’t bother to check my cell phone. Imagine my surprise, when I saw Foxy running down the hallway.”

Sunset took a sip from her soda.

“You want something too?”

“No. So what happened? You’re obviously alive!” Rainbow pointed out.

“Yeah. So I managed to get into my office and slammed the door button. However, I was a second too late and Foxy was with me in the office. Did one of the animatroncis ever scream to you?”

“Yeah…? What’s up with that anyway.”

“Later.” Sunset waved off.

“I thought I was a goner, when he suddenly cut off his scream and stared at me with wide eyes. I was just cowering in front of him, while he inspected me from the top to the bottom. I’m not kidding, if I say that he looked like he had seen a ghost.”

“Really? But they’re robots. They don’t have emotions.”

“Later Rainbow, I’m getting to that, don’t worry.” Sunset growled a little.

“Foxy called the other animatronics, Freddy, that’s the bear, Chica, the chicken and Bonny, the bunny. They all looked at me the same way Foxy did. I was scared shitless, I admit that much. But then all of the sudden, they walked away. They just left me there at the office, scared and confused. After what seemed like an eternity, I grabbed my stuff and tailed out of the building. The next day, I confronted the manager about it, but he waved me off, saying I could either stay or go. He didn’t care, though he was surprised, when I told him about how the animatronics reacted to me.

And against my better judgment, I went back here. After some time watching the animatronics on the cameras, I went to the main room, where most of them were lurking at the time. They were equally surprised to see me coming out of the office. We must have been staring at each other for hours, until I asked the dreaded question: ‘Why didn’t you put me into a costume?’

The animatronics looked at each other, as if they were debating who was going to answer. In the end, Foxy came to me with a pen and paper he got from somewhere. He wrote something on the paper and gave it to me: ‘You’re not him’ was written on it.

‘Him?’ I asked, but they didn’t answer. And I didn’t dare to ask more questions.

The next morning, the manager was surprised to find me being still there. He asked me what I was doing here, but I just gave him the keys and said, I would finish my week at least.

That’s when I began doing my research. I spend hours upon hours in the city library and the internet, but it was pretty easy to find what I was looking for. But the story I found, is disturbing to say the least.”

Sunset took in a deep breath. “Years ago, 4 children went missing from a Freddy Fazebear restaurant. A suspect was apprehended, but the police found no evidence to convict him. Months later, customers of Freddy Fazber’s Pizza complained about the robots smelling like rotten flesh, blood and ooze coming out of the animatronics.”

Rainbow’s face became green. “You’re not going with this, where I think you’re going.”

Sunset’s face remained stoic. “Then one day, there was the so called “Bite of 87”. One of the robots bit off the frontal lobe of someone. Since then, the animatronics are only allowed to walk during the night. Later I would find out that the disappearing of night guards started even before the bite.”

Rainbow gulped.

“On Friday, on my first week, I confronted them. I straight up asked them: ‘You’re dead, aren’t you? You’re the 4 children that went missing all those years ago, aren’t you?’

The reaction was instantaneous. They looked at me mouth agape, some of them looking like they wanted to say something, but all that came out were either moans of someone who sounded like he was desperately holding onto his dear life, or a few lines from their voice boxes.”

Sunset leaned forwards, giving Rainbow Dash a very serious face.

“They’re dead children, Rainbow. Someone murdered them and put them into the robots. What little I could gather is that they were most likely murdered by a security guard, wearing this uniform.”

She pointed at the jacket with the ketchup-stain. That would be a pain to get out.

“Since they’re children, every time they see someone in the uniform, they think it is their murderer. I don’t know why they stopped attacking me, maybe it’s because I’m the first girl working here and they can make out the difference. But everyone else? Heck, if I wouldn’t have been here, I don’t know if they would have been able to hold themselves back.”

Rainbow Dash’s mind went into overdrive. This story was not crazy, it was insane. Normally she would call it a fraud, the thing was, she had experienced some insane stuff herself the past year. The girl in front of her after all was actually a unicorn.

“I managed to befriend with the kids. They won’t tell me their names, but I can talk to them, be there for them and have fun with them. We play board games or hide and seek all the time. By now, they know that not every adult is a bad person, but they still jump the gun rather easily. I didn’t tell any of you girls, because, I promised them to keep this to myself. But with you here today, well, you wouldn’t have stopped asking, without a proper explanation, would you?”

A proper explanation? Rainbow Dash didn’t know what she was supposed to say to that. The only logical thing that came to her mind was to slam her head against the desk pretty hard. Repeatedly.

Freddy, Chica, Bonnie and Foxy reentered the main upon hearing the sounds of something repeatedly hitting one of the tables or a wall. They were quite surprised to see the friend of their friend hitting her head on the table. They may not have been alive for who knows how long, but as far as they remembered that must hurt quite a lot.

Upon seeing the animatronics, Sunset stopped her friend by putting a hand on Rainbow's shoulder.

"Rainbow, I know this is all a little weird, but don't you think you're a little overreacting after everything you, me and the rest of our friends have been through?" the Equestrian tried with a nervous smile.

"That's..." Rainbow raised a finger, but didn't know what exactly she was supposed to say. "Urrgh, my head." the girl put both of her hands on her forehead.

Sunset couldn't help, but laugh. "Alright, I think now that we have all calmed down, how about some introductions?" Sunset stood up and walked towards the animatronic gang. It was only then that Rainbow Dash noticed the robots behind her. Her eyes widened a little, but she managed to prevent herself from jumping out of her seat.

"Rainbow Dash, these are Freddy Fazbear, Chica, Bonnie and Foxy, the pirate. Foxy has sometimes problems controlling his body, so please forgive him if some of his movements seem a little stiff or something."

The gang all waved with their arms to Rainbow, who carefully waved back.

"Uh...come again? Stiff?"

"Right that." Sunset remembered her friend still didn't know all the details. "Basically, the children inside control the bodies they have been given. However, when the bodies are broken there's nothing they can do about it. Foxy's body here isn't working properly."

The Fox looked down.

"However, I finally managed to convince the manager to put up the money to repair him."

Foxy looked at Sunset surprised, his eye-patch open. Sunset smiled.

"What? I told you I'll make sure you'll be able to entertain the kids again."

"AAHH!" Foxy cried out and hugged Sunset tightly.

"Urrgh, you're welcome." the fiery haired girl said, barely able to breath.

"Huh, huh, huh."

Rainbow jumped at the creepy laugh coming out of Freddy. It was obviously the voicebox that worked there. Still, children liked this kind of thing?

Freddy and Chica pulled Foxy away, in order to stop him from suffocating their friend. The pirate smiled sheepishly.

Sunset bend over catching her breath, before walking over to her other friend.

"Okay, guys this is Rainbow Dash. She's the one who put our band together. She also captain of every sports team in our school. Don't ask me how she convinced the principal to do that."

"Uh...hi, I guess?" Rainbow Dash said carefully.

"She and her friend have a bet going on, for her to stay the entire night here." Sunset explained further.

"So, anyone got an idea what we're going to do tonight?" Sunset asked.

"What do you mean, what we're going to do?" Rainbow Dash got up from her chair.

"Come on, you want to sit around all night and do nothing?" Sunset asked. "Trust me, it's a lot easier to cope with this entire situation, when you actually interact with them." Sunset explained.

It seemed Chica had already an idea. While Sunset had been talking to Rainbow Dash, she took out a board-game: Monopoly.

Rainbow Dash looked at it and back at the animatronic. "Alright." she sighed. I swear, as soon as this is over, I'm never going to come back here again.

Rainbow Dash had to admit one thing. After one hour of playing Monopoly, she was way less tense, than she had been before. She was sitting the farthest away from the animatronics, just in case. Another thing she noticed, was how the animatronics handled the tiny pieces on the board. It was impressive, they had no problem handling them or rolling the dices, though they did need help, when picking up cards or the game money.

"Arr! Looks like Freddy stole me loot again!" Foxy complained, using actually one of the dialogue options that was programmed into him. He landed on one of the spaces that the bear owned. Sunset helped the pirate handing over the money.

So far, no one had been especially lucky in the game. Money shifted from one person to another, but the properties were split evenly between the players. It was now Rainbow's turn again. She was about to roll the dice, when she remembered something.

“Hey Sunset...what’s up with the costume in the kitchen?”

“That thing?” Sunset shrugged. “I dunno. The boss told me the thing isn’t in use anymore and that the others will take care of it in the morning. It’s supposed to be in storage.”

“Uh...huh…” Rainbow nodded and rolled the dice. Neither of the girls noticed the animatronics giving each other a brief glance.

The game continued until five in the morning, when everyone lost the will to go on. It didn’t look out a winner would make itself clear any time soon, so they just gave up on it. Freddy and Foxy had gone to the arcade, where they played against each other on one of the games. Chica walked into the kitchen and as for Bonnie he was playing with his guitar, which turned out to be a real one. Rainbow Dash was impressed by that.

“How does he play the guitar with that much precision?” the rainbow haired girl asked. She and Sunset were sitting on the table, watching Bonnie play a little tune.

“I taught him.” Sunset smiled. “Originally they planned on programming him to play that thing. The programmers were a little overconfident back then, from what I heard and in the end gave up on it. Belief me, it wasn’t easy. And he’s still struggling with more complex sets of notes.”

She shook her head.

"Okay...? Hey, why didn't you report this all to the police?! I'm sure they could find something out!" Rainbow almost shouted.

Sunset in return flinched, looking with a guilty expression to her friend. "Believe me, I want to do this. But" she sighed "basically I promised the children not to tell anyone, not even the police. It's strange, but they somehow really like entertaining other children."

"Now that sounds just downright creepy. OW! I was just joking, ya know?" Rainbow rubbed the spot Sunset had hit. "Anyways, you do know I'm not just going to sit on the sidelines, while you come back here every night in this haunted house. And you know I AM going to tell the others about this."

The former unicorn did see this coming, but still wasn't happy about it.

"Dash, I made a promise-"

"Correct, YOU made a promise." Rainbow pointed out. "I didn't." the athlete said smugly.

Then, out of nowhere, the lights went out, causing the girls to shriek for a split second.

"H-hey, what's up with this place?!" Rainbow stammered.

"Power outage." Sunset breathed out. "I guess you used up too much power earlier."

"Hey, don't blame me! You're the one who decided to put me into one of those suits!"

"I didn't want to- urgh, you know what? Forget it. I go and get the flashlights."

Gilda yawned, waiting impatiently for her friend to come out of that Pizza Place. About an hour ago she’d been woken up by a text from said friend, who was supposed to come out around six or so. And true to her word, Dash came sprinting down the road, her blue jacket pulled over her head, in order to protect herself from the rain. The girl quickly opened the door, got into the car and slammed it shut.

“Oh man, fucking weather.” Rainbow cursed, wiping her face dry.

“Welcome back. How was it?” Gilda asked, starting the engine.

“Tch, turns out those things walk around at night. Also turns out my friend works there as the night guard.”

“Really?” the girl from the Everfree Academy asked.

“Yeah, was pretty lucky.” Rainbow grinned. “Anyone else would have called the cops.”

“Haha, that would have been hilarious.”

“Very funny, G.” Dash rolled her eyes..

“Say, why are those things moving around?” Gilda asked another question, stopping at the red light.

“Something about the robots not working right, after they’re stuck standing still for too long.” Rainbow explained, yawning.

“Damn, I’m tired. Good thing it is Saturday. Gonna catch some Zs and then-”

“Yeah, yeah.” Gilda cut her friend off. “I get it. I lost. But don’t worry. I’ll get ya back on this, RD.”

“Heh, I wanna see that happen.”

The two continued bickering, while Gilda was driving through the rain.

Sunset rubbed her temples, trying to resist the urge to fall asleep right next to the heater in the restaurant. Her body still wasn't used to her new sleeping schedule. You see, she worked from Monday to Friday the night shift, went to school the following day and slept almost the rest of the day. It had cut down on the time she could spend with her friends significantly, but after loosing her old job, due to the place closing, this was the only way for her to make some kind of living.

She finally finished cleaning up the mess she, Rainbow and the animatronics had made during the night. Her boss may be lenient, but Sunset wasn't one to push her luck. Finished tidying up the place, Sunset made went around the place a bit. Until someone from the morning shift, be it the guard or a cook, arrived, she wasn't allowed to leave the place.

Inside the kitchen, she found that one of the animatronics accidentally knocked down a few pots. Stuff like that happened all the time, so she quickly picked it up and put them back to their place. She didn't get why this place had so many pots to begin with. It focused on making pizza after all. Moving inside the place, the former unicorn's eyes fell on the "Golden Freddy". The gold color might have been brighter once at a time, but now it looked slightly green.

"How come these things look creepier without an endo inside?" Sunset wondered aloud. She knelt down in front of the costume, moving head up a little. "Wonder how it is for them. Being stuck in there. No more need for sleep. No more need for food. Angry, confused, sad...maybe I should ask Princess Twilight after all. There has to be some way I can help them move on. Or whatever ghosts do..."

She let go of the head, but it didn't slumped back down. Initially she fought it got somehow stuck through the old, rusty machinery inside. However this theory was immediately blown to pieces, as two white pupils appeared inside the black, empty eye-holes.

"Wahh!" Sunset shrieked, falling backwards on her butt.

"Heheheheehehehehe..."

Sunset could hear the faint giggle of a child, which echoed throughout the entire building. Before the guard's mind could comprehend as to what was going on, the costume disappeared. Not in a flash of a teleport light, but just fading, as if slowly disappearing from a screen.

The former unicorn didn't know what this all meant, but she knew one thing. Either she got a raise or there the empty Freddy suit in the Parts and Service room, would not be so empty anymore.
