It is the Distant Future. The Imperium of Equestria has spread across the entire galaxy.
But our days of Expansion are long past. Where once we fought for peace, we now fight simply to survive.
Once, Our Empress lead us in battle. We were unstoppable. But no longer. The Empress suffered a terrible wound at the hand of her traitorous Sister. Now, She must rule from the Confines of her Golden Throne, on Equestria.
Across the stars our overstretched armies fight countless wars. Savage and Bloodthirsty aliens ravage our worlds. Our defenders die by the billions in endless wars of attrition, Devious enemies lure us into traps and snares. Advanced alien technology claims millions of lives in mere moments. Our very survival is at stake, and we stand on the brink of defeat.
It is the Equestrians darkest hour.
In the Grim Darkness of the 41st Millennium..There is only War.
"NOT ONE STEP BACK! STAND YOUR GROUND AND FIGHT, DAMN YOU, FIGHT FOR EQUESTRIA, AND THE EMPRESS CELESTIA! PUSH THESE SCUM BACK!"
The fighting had been going on for weeks. The Imperial Guard were given no warning, as Diamond Dogs bombarded the planet from space, and invaded. What once had been a bustling city, had been reduced to ruins by the constant fighting, and the artillery fire from the Imperial Guard 451st Armour Division.
"DWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!!!" Came the Diamond Dog Warcry from the other side of the trenches.
"STAND FIRM!" The Guardspony Commissar yelled at the guardsponies.
The Guardsponies said their prayers, knowing these trenches would most likely be their final resting place
"The Empress...Protects.."
"DWAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH! LETZ STOMP SUM POWNIEZ, LADZ!"
The Diamond Dogs jumped over their own cover, and charged directly at the Guardsponies, the ground shaking under them.
"FIRE AT WILL! FIRE AT WILL!" The Commissar yelled
The Guardsponies opened fire on the Dogs, with their Shoulder-Mounted Las Rifles
The las fire didn't do much to stop the Diamond Dogs, and they charged the Guards, meeting them in Melee
"Theres too many of them! We have to get out of here!" One of the Ponies yelled from the fray.
"NO! YOU WILL DIE BY THEIR HANDS, OR YOU'LL DIE BY MINE!" yelled the commissar, his voice audible above the gunfire, and death-screams.
"But sir-"
*BLAM*
The las round went right through the ponies head, killing him instantly.
"STAND FIRM, DAMMIT, STAND FIRM!"
The Commissar charged into the melee, and impaled a Dog on his Horn-Mounted Chainsword.
"This is Commissar Black-Hooves, Requesting assistance! We are being torn apart by the Dogs, We need help! Can anypony hear me!?" he yelled down his Vox.
"Look to the sky, Brother, help is nearby." came a voice from the vox.
Commissar Black-Hooves raised his head upward.
4 Space Mareine Drop Pods were plummeting toward the Diamond Dog ranks.
As they got closer to the ground, the Commissar could just about make out the symbol on the side of one of the Pods.
A white horse shoe..
The Ultramareines.
And suddenly, with a BANG, the drop pods hit the ground, and out of each, leapt several heavily armoured ponies, all with Shoulder-Mounted Bolters, and Horn-Mounted Chainswords.
"FOR THE EMPRESS, SISTERS, THE IMPERIAL GUARDSPONIES REQUIRE OUR AID!" Yelled the largest of the armoured ponies, as she charged into the dogs, her sisters following her.
"PULL YOUR MEN BACK, COMMISSAR, WE CAN HANDLE THEM!" Yelled the biggest Space Mareine, her voice distrorted by her helmet.
"We strike with the wrath of the righteous!" yelled one of the mareines.
"...Guards! Fall Back! Back to the rally point!" the Commissar yelled, as he watched the mareines tear the dogs apart.
"Retreat!!"
"WAT!? ULTRAMAREINES!? UHH, BOSS, DIS AINT GOOD!" Yelled one of the Diamond Dogs, Right before a Bolter round tore through his face.
"FEAR THE WRATH OF THE EMPRESS! BURN IN HOLY FIRE!" Yelled one of the Mareines, as she roasted several of the Dogs with her Flamer.
"AAW, BLOODY POWNIEZ, DOGZ IS BEST!" Yelled what appeared to be the biggest, meanest dog in the fight, as he tore through the armour of a Mareine, her blood splattering his face.
He was armed with a massive axe, most likely looted from one of his kills as a trophy, and wore makeshift armour.
Very spiky makeshift armour.
With skulls. And Spikes. And spiky sku- ..You get the idea.
"MAREINES, CONCENTRATE FIRE ON THE WARBOSS!"
"YOU HEARD THE CAPTAIN!"
The mareines opened fire on the Warboss, their bolters quickly tearing through his armour, and killing him, as they exploded inside his body.
The Warboss fell, and hit the ground with a loud thud.
"AWW, THEY KILLED THE BOSS LADZ! STOMP DEZE POWNIEZ SO WEZE CAN GET OUTTA HERE!" Yelled another rather large dog
"DWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!"
"STRIKE FROM THE SKY, SISTERS!" Yelled the captain through her vox.
"Moments later, there was a whistling sound from above, and an even larger drop pod than before crashed into the Diamond Dogs ranks.
Out of it, climbed a massive, four-legged metal creature, armed with an Assault Cannon.
A Dreadnought (Badly ponified ofcourse, I mean, how the hell am i supposed to explain a PONY DREADNOUGHT?)
"I AM HERE TO END YOU, XENOS SCUM." Spoke the creature, in a synthesized voice, as it barreled into the dogs, and proceeded to blow them apart with the assault cannon, Splattering dogs and Space Mareines with blood.
"DAT DREDDNOUGHTZ GONNA TEARZ UZ APART, WE 'AZ TA GET OUTTA HERE!" Shouted a dog.
"RUN FOR YOUR LIVEZ, LADZ!" Yelled another, as they ran from the Mareines.
Once the Dogs had fled the city, the captain turned to speak to her troops.
"Sister Cream, and Sister Daisy, follow me. We will head to the Imperial Guard stronghold. The rest of you, wait here."
"Yes, Captain Bright-Lance." Replied Daisy
The three Space Mareines ran to the stronghold, which was only at the top of the hill, a short distance away.
"Commissar, it's the Ultramareines!" Yelled a lookout
The Commissar trotted over to the Captain, from his tent, and halted right in front of her.
"Commissar Black-Hooves at your service, My Lord." He said, Bowing before her.
"I am Captain Bright-Lance, of the Ultramareines 3rd Company. We have arrived to relieve you." Replied the Captain.
Commissar Black-Hooves was rather surprised at this. He never expected to actually leave this Empress-Forsaken planet alive.
"..Really, Captain?"
"Yes" She said.
"Oh. My men. shall be pleased." Said the Commissar.
"Take your men to the Space Port. The Battle Cruiser 'Celestial Fire' Is waiting for you." instructed the Captain.
"Thank you, Captain" replied Black-Hooves.
The Commissar turned from the captain, and yelled his orders.
"Alright, Men, Pack up, We're leaving this miserable planet!"
"YES SIR!" They yelled in response.
After instructing his men to pack up, he turned back to the Captain.
"Uhh..Where exactly are we being shipped off to?" he asked.
"I'm not sure. All I know is that you will be aiding The Imperial Hooves. They're hunting Paranids. " she replied.
The Commissars face went white "..Sweet Celestia.." He said
"Well..I hope wherever we go is warm..This planet is too damned cold.." Said the commissar, watching his guardsponies pack up their gear, weapons, and ammo, and putting them onto the Valkyrie ships.
Commissar Black-Hooves was not like most Commissars. He cared about his men.
Though he would always do his duty, (Which was usually to blow the brains out of Cowards) He didn't enjoy seeing his men die. And for the most part, he shared their fears.

Several hours later, after the ponies had finished shoving their equipment onto the ships, they had arrived at the Space Port, and boarded the Celestial fire, Which is now En route to New Equestria, a Planet which has been attacked by the Paranids.
